Speaker 1 (00:01):
This is the best of two pros and a couple
Joe with Lamar Airings, Rady Winn and Jonas Knox on
Box Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Why I got C's wins in in parentheses?
Speaker 3 (00:16):
No, man, I know, they're just they're just, you know,
adding insult to uh told these losses enough. I'm counting it,
dang like listen way if you'll notice too. I wanted
to hold off because it did get down to three.
It was three and a half. Get down to three
at least I could have gotten a push, but you could.
(00:36):
I could have, but Lee and Justin want to allow it.
They want me to keep just sticking the ship. No, no, no, no.
Speaker 4 (00:42):
I tried to push for the give them three. The
line's gonna move. It felt like it was heading in
that direction, and Lee said, f that guy.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
If you want me, if you want me to be
honest about it, if you want me to be honest.
There was already books that had it at three, and
that was what was a little bit frustrating because it
wasn't that DraftKings yet. But we have to do DraftKings
because Johonna Slove's DraftKings. So we did DraftKings and that's
how we got though it does happen to be a
part of our selves.
Speaker 4 (01:06):
Well, but it wasn't three, and then overnight it went
to three and a half, and then it went back
down to three before kickoff.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
So DraftKings had it. That's why I don't know why
Lee was making DraftKings did have it. But there's other
books out there too who had it at three. They
have it at three and a half by the time
we were making those picks.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
So here the point is is that you should have
allowed to push Jonas and Lee like, I don't think
that that pushed for it.
Speaker 5 (01:31):
Quinns wins takes place at a certain time.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
I beat you on that one, Bro, I beat you.
I beat you. You can't have that.
Speaker 6 (01:40):
One, fellow Casino royalgo in London here.
Speaker 3 (01:46):
Do no way? Yeah? That one? Oh my god? Who's
that going? Once? All right?
Speaker 4 (02:04):
Well listen regardless, that was a fun game last night,
and Dan Campbell has got a set man.
Speaker 3 (02:12):
I was still sitting there on fourth and it's going, await,
there's like thirty seconds forty whatever.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
It was like, why are you just kicking now? You're
just gonna kick later. I'm not giving y'all a ounce
of hope. I mean they could have went. They could
have ended up going in overtime if they don't.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
Get it easily. Yeah, I mean he's like, forget y'all, man.
And then and then you had your GoF literally get
his footstepped on coming out from under center. It was
almost a disaster.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
Like imagine if that's college, that's that plays dad, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:45):
It's a dead play.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Dang, hey, don't running back to some beasts though, man,
which I will say this, so there's a reason why
you typically Okay, so let's say I know I'm handing
the ball off to the right, and I'm in a situation.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
Like where it's short yardage your goal line. Typically you
stagger your feet, so your right foot is for your
left foot's back. And reason being is you want to
be able to get at least one of your feet
to get out of the way. So, if I'm not mistaken,
he's spun like he pairouetted to and to hand his
football off to the right. So typically your left foot
(03:21):
should be further back because that's the one that you're
going to pick up last as you kind of like
spin and parawet. No different, if it was going left,
you'd switch it. Your left fot would before your right
foot would be back. I'd have to go back and look,
it didn't look like he had him staggered enough. But
you literally will see quarterbacks stagger their feet like that
just so they won't get him stepped on, because they
(03:42):
know one of those guards on either side whichever way
the ball is going, that backside guards gotta go and
he's probably gonna step on your foot. So that's usually
why you stagger him. I never knew that. I never
knew that if you, like most d linemen, if they
ever really really paid attention, they'd be able to see
the tell. But again, this is stuff that quarterbacks studying
(04:04):
and see defensive guys studying just send different levels there,
different levels. Hey, let me ask you this. Do they
do that to the right side too, Yeah, whatever side
you go to, that guard was pulling from not pulling,
so this case, you know he was he was just
trying to block down that gap because they were playing gaps.
(04:27):
They're playing like almost like a six two gaps. So
like if the ball is going to the right and
I'm reversing out, I'm gonna have my left foot back further.
My right foots me forward, So that way, when that
left guard he's trying to go to the right side
as I pirouette, it's already out and so same thing.
So if it was going to left to be the
right guard, my right foot would be back.
Speaker 4 (04:47):
Yeah, tell man man that today. Yeah, that's the key.
Dan Campbell spoke after the All right, Brady, here's the deal.
What's this movie called Casino? What is it called Lee?
(05:08):
What is this movie onto you right now?
Speaker 5 (05:10):
This is the first Daniel Craig James Bond Casino Royal.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
Well, there's just not enough sex scenes in that for
you guys to be getting No, it's not.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
It's not about that scene. It's about the rocket ship.
Who is about to lift off? And which one is this?
Which James Bond?
Speaker 3 (05:33):
I don't even know the right one? This is the
correct one.
Speaker 4 (05:38):
Because LeVar went pistol, double pistol, right, Brambo machine guns,
gatling gun and then an a k all the matter.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
Of can I get a description because I'm looking at
the cast and this is not looking like she.
Speaker 6 (05:56):
Does not make it under the cast. Yeah, she's just
one of the Bond girls, but she's not the Bud.
She's not Vesper she's not the main she not making.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
It on the cake. Somebody was someone someone was upset.
If I looked at the entire cast on sixty different faces,
she's on there somewhere. She should be on the cast
for this scene. Oh it's Alessandro Brogio. There you go.
This one is that sounds exactly what her name should be.
Speaker 5 (06:23):
Yeah it Katerina? You arena that that could sound like
that should be it too.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
I'd like to order that too. And the other name
said on.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
The side, thank you, thank thank you.
Speaker 3 (06:40):
She is on here, Lee. And by the way, her
picture is not very flattering on this well Leeke do
you uh? I mean just said? What a guy? What
a guy? All right? Well that's why.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
These movies are total d bag movies. Man, Like these
dudes like, come on, man, why you get to be
in a movie doing this acting?
Speaker 3 (07:06):
You think he's good? Right there? Hey, Coop? You acted?
Speaker 7 (07:09):
Man?
Speaker 3 (07:09):
I'm sorry, I'm looking at what y'all looking at it.
It's not you're watching it on television right now. No,
I'm just looking at you.
Speaker 2 (07:15):
Know, hey, Coop, if you were in that situation right
there right now, as an actor, are you are you good?
Speaker 7 (07:22):
Like?
Speaker 2 (07:22):
Is an actor good or is that like, you know,
do you just let your you're like, how does that work?
Speaker 5 (07:32):
I stopped acting when I was like thirteen or twelve.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
Thirteen is old enough, bro, Yeah, don't do that.
Speaker 5 (07:38):
I mean I don't have any I didn't have any
sex scenes.
Speaker 3 (07:41):
He yet you had a pair of eyes. Damn it,
you did? You did?
Speaker 5 (07:45):
Look I mean I would uh would have some trouble
in this.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
You would have had trouble with that scene? Yeah, absolutely, Okay, checking.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
Just checking.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
So even an actor, like if you're a thespian, you
you you can't like maintain you know, thespian control and
like you're are you supposed to get here's the better question, coop.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
Are you supposed to get into the scene?
Speaker 2 (08:14):
Like like really get into the scene or how is
that like like the naturalness of God God be.
Speaker 5 (08:24):
I think it's something that you have a discussion with
the you know, the actress.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
Okay, and you know.
Speaker 2 (08:30):
Because I mean, could that be considered to be a
bad thing if you can't because that's that's like a
man thing versus like what a woman thing would be.
You know if if a woman has a situation you don't.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
Know, Yeah, I would insulted. I would she be insulted?
You would you would think, I mean, I mean, would you?
Speaker 2 (08:51):
I mean you gotta you gotta do the scene. Coop,
what do you want from him? He's a man.
Speaker 3 (08:57):
Well, Coop took his his head falls off.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
I'm not going I'm not going any further with takes
a stage, right, That's why you're not a Thespian.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
All right, Well let's talk about.
Speaker 4 (09:06):
A uh let's talk about a Thespian with a pair
of brass balls.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
And that would be he was not acting the old
coach of the Lions. He would be for real.
Speaker 4 (09:17):
He spoke after the game about the mindset in going
for it. What is it four out of five times
on fourth downs they converted in that game last night?
Speaker 3 (09:25):
Here he was.
Speaker 7 (09:26):
Look, I told the guys knew, players knew, the coaches knew. Listen,
this is don't ride the wave. You know.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
We could be up two.
Speaker 7 (09:33):
Scores, we could be down two scores, and but just
because we're one or the other, we got to play
our style of game going in what we felt like
we need to do, what I felt like we needed
to do. And so that man, the risk was there,
and you know, and you fell in negative territory. You
got you know, you're trying to hold him to a
field goal. But I knew that was that was how
I wanted to play that team.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
With where we were at. It was two really good teams,
by the way.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
Yeah, and give give Detroit a on the credit for
being able to win that game, because that was a
very very well played game both sides.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
Buddy Jordan Love made some throws in that game where
you were just like, my god. I mean the one
where I believe it was like Jack Campbell who had
pressured and he kind of just yea, by the way,
with perfect ball security, like the type of stuff they
teach you in quarterback drills that no one actually uses
in a game. I was like, oh, all right, there
(10:26):
it is. And they just dropped an absolute dime on
a crossing route. But is it fair to say is
Green Bay the second best team in NFC North. I
know Vikings fans will get upset. I think he's going
to make.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
That statement, but it's hard to debate it. But I
do think. I do think that Minnesota can they can
contend for it. But I certainly think that after last night,
it is a foregone conclusion that Detroit is solidified as
the best team in the NFC, I will say that's
team in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
You think the way they're playing right now, Yeah, you've
won eleven in a row. Yeah, you could be right.
I don't know. I like Buffalo right now.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
Man, I don't know why I like Buffalo so much,
but I like Buffalo. And and for what it's worth,
Kansas City hasn't been hasn't looked to be the most
impressive in the way that they win games. But Kansas
City is still Kansas City. I still might even go
with Kansas City as the best in the league.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
By the way the Vikings did beat Green Bay earlier
in the season, though it was tight, Just saying.
Speaker 4 (11:28):
Like, there's my thought on watching that game last night
was for a couple of things. Dan Campbell, all the
criticism we got after the NFC title game, and you know,
he's too risky, he's to this, he's too that. I
just love the fact that he's like, that's that's who
we are. It is what it is, like, we're going
to live by the sword, died by the sword kind
of mentality.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
I mean, why wouldn't you. Yeah, it's worse if you're
want to live by the sword, why wouldn't you die
by it?
Speaker 4 (11:53):
If you're hiring him to do what he does and
he believes in that team and they've got the the
old life even with I mean, they've got what's seven
team players on ir going into that game last.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
Night, such balance with what he does.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
Man, it's so hard to and and listen, green Bay's
defense was they were holding up at times, they were
doing what they needed to do. At times. They made
that game hard on Detroit. I just man, it's just
they just keep coming.
Speaker 8 (12:18):
Bro.
Speaker 4 (12:18):
They're going to see one of two, either Green Bay
or Minnesota. I believe in the postseason again. So if
they see green Bay again, green Bay could clip them.
That's That's what I'm saying, team, man, because there is
a familiarity there and that boy Jacobs is a goon
a goblin.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
What's a goon do? Goblin? Nothing? What?
Speaker 2 (12:42):
They ain't never heard that from Lil Wayne anyway, I
do be running that ball, man, But I would say
this if they had And I know I know y'all like, man,
why y'all keep why does he keep going back to this?
But I think it's the reason why Minnesota is so
good right now. In a lot of ways, if you
(13:02):
had the dimensions, the multidimensions that Aaron Jones brings to
your backfield, him and Josh Jacobs in the backfield would
be ridiculous. Their team would be on the next level
of some way, somehow they were able to have kept
Aaron Jones and brought in Josh Jacobs, because that's what
(13:23):
you're seeing with Detroit. I mean, those two backs, they're
two different styles of backs, but my goodness, that is
such a dynamic backfield they have. Man, they stay healthy,
those two guys stay healthy, and you're always going to
have a chance because Jared Goff doesn't have the pressure
of having to win the game with his arm. There's
(13:44):
so many different things you can do with what those
backs bring to the table, and they have different skill
sets and it just allows for you to open up
your offense. And it is such a headache for a
defense to have to deal with that type of a backfield.
You remember when they had all Start and Wark done
in the same backfield I used to have. I loved
(14:06):
I loved it, but I hated it at the same
time because there's so many different things that they can
do with those types of backs and they bring such
different skills sets to the table. And I think that's
what you have in Detroit. Man, they've done. I thought
jamyor Gibbs was dope in college man when he was
like in Alabama. I mean I was like, why why
isn't he talked about more than what he is?
Speaker 3 (14:28):
Or was it his size?
Speaker 2 (14:30):
I ain't get it, but man, that type of it
almost seems like he could be the new proto type
of what today's back could be. And maybe Saquan is
maybe the maybe a little bit more because he's bigger,
so like you can bring that physical component to it
as well as that speed and quickness to you know,
(14:51):
getting to the outside. But I mean their backfield makes
them such a dangerous, dangerous team.
Speaker 6 (14:58):
Man.
Speaker 4 (14:58):
Why is Christian wats And able to get open downfield
every single game?
Speaker 3 (15:02):
Like every game? I mean he's fast, There's that he
is fast and he's big.
Speaker 4 (15:07):
Like what's his yard per yards per catch for the season.
I think it's like over twenty, Like like every time
he touches the ball, it's a twenty yard pickup. Like
it's just like for some reason, like he just continues
to get open and nobody.
Speaker 3 (15:20):
They take shots to him. Yeah, I mean, it's part
of it. He's a big dude too, He's big. Yeah, yeah,
I mean he's the one that's built like a wide
receiver one and he was drafted, I think to be
their receiver one. It's just he's he hasn't been able
to stay healthy. He hasn't been one hundred percent consistent,
but he definitely could be. Here's a hard thing about
(15:41):
Aaron Jones conversation is Jones got to a second contract
and then they moved on because both you couldn't keep
both Jones and Jacobs. Like remember Jamior Gibbs was a
draft pick, Yeah, and David Montgomery was signed. So you know,
if Green Bay wanted to do that in the future,
they could. They just got to draft another one, right
that they feel like, is is kind of similar or
has that that different skill set? Man has a combination
(16:04):
of facts.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
I don't know, is there I don't know that you
just have a Jamiir Gibbs in in the draft every
year though. That's the thing, Like, dude, is there anybody
out there right now like that?
Speaker 3 (16:17):
Gent's gent would be an interesting comparison because he's the
young man who's gonna being a Heisman finalist and is
playing for Poise State. I mean he's not tall, he's
you know, five foot nine, two hundred and ten pounds,
fifteen pounds whatever he is, But I mean he exudes
all those like qualities you're looking for, like a quick
(16:37):
burst like movement, and he's got the kind of breakaway
speed like home run hitting speed too. So I'll be
curious to see them in person today or just sees
me later on tonight to see what he looks like.
But there's a there's a few backs that I think
have some of the qualities. I mean, again, everyone's different,
like no one's going to be exactly like Jamiir. But
but I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (16:58):
Like that small scat like you know, like how like
in our day, like when we're watching like what like
an air metcalf would be you know what I mean,
like one of those guys like it's like whoa like
out of there, Like dude is quick like tossing the ball,
throwing the ball, whatever, his screens whatever. Man, Dude, dude
(17:20):
can find the holes in the defense. And I mean quick,
just quick, bouncy dudes. I hated playing against quick bouncy dudes, man,
because they make you look bad. You see the way
he had, man, he had to do hugging for air
laft dude that fell on to his knees.
Speaker 3 (17:39):
What you're reaching for? Man, I hate that. I don't
know it would name of them.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
The defender was put the mirror Gibbs had he had
to do chasing ghosts. Man, Well you got to back that.
Speaker 3 (17:53):
Man. Have you chasing ghosts out there and it's all
live camera? That ain't nothing fun man, that's that's that's stress.
That's stressful. You don't want to be on somebody's highlight
field where you getting for somebody and they there, he
don't be there. Now.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
I'd rather get Jerome Bettis or Mike alstot hell. I'd
rather hit Lorenzo O'Neil then to have to deal with
a dude that that could make you miss like that.
Speaker 3 (18:17):
I don't know. I mean, if you're stressful, man.
Speaker 4 (18:20):
You know, if you're certain people, you'd rather have Derrick
Henry too up top.
Speaker 3 (18:23):
Brady, Yeah, right, big one for us. I didn't get
that old Cooper did one. Oh if you.
Speaker 4 (18:30):
Form tackling extraordinary den there either.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
Yeah, I ain't know where where where you were at
with that? But I got you, I got you.
Speaker 3 (18:39):
Okay, all right, it's not.
Speaker 4 (18:40):
Gonna say that means he could get all of them
on top. Not gonna stiff arm us not happening. You're
not gonna run us over, Josh Norman. You're dealing with
Oh no, yeah, oh no, I see what you did there,
Derek Henry got the.
Speaker 3 (18:54):
Work what we did there too.
Speaker 4 (18:57):
All right, So it is Two Pros and a Cup
of Joe your Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
By the way, I was gonna mention this at the top.
It is. It's definitely it's a football Friday.
Speaker 2 (19:10):
It's Friday, even though John still does he's taking weeks.
Speaker 9 (19:16):
Yeah Friday, well yeah, top top, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (19:44):
All right, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, let's do it there.
Speaker 7 (19:49):
It is.
Speaker 9 (19:49):
Yeahday night is on my all Friday, Brady Football Friday.
Speaker 3 (19:58):
Ready Quinn, Ready Quinn? We call him? We called him
you Yes, no, I hate it ya. That's not the
one I like being played, we know.
Speaker 1 (20:07):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 4 (20:20):
There's a blow up mattress in the other studio and
where we're gonna say, dull but mattresses?
Speaker 3 (20:26):
What is there? Best? My best guess is that's where
LEAs slept.
Speaker 2 (20:32):
Or Lorena or Lorena, which one is it? Or somebody
is it other?
Speaker 10 (20:39):
No, it's it's mine.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
I think Loreda's got a little bit of it. So
you came in after the party. Yeah, exactly what time
was the party?
Speaker 10 (20:48):
Three to six? I got here about seven.
Speaker 3 (20:51):
Thirty And you start your shift at what time? Who
was the producer on while you were on? You were
able to sleep? Yeah?
Speaker 10 (21:02):
I know, I was in the other studio. I want
to I just brought it in here for this shift.
So in the commercial breaks, I go down and I.
Speaker 11 (21:08):
Just go, oh, okay, I can't do that, Like I
would not be able to like shut off, get back up,
you know, shut off a game, get just It would
be too much.
Speaker 10 (21:21):
Once I fell asleep, though, while I was over there
in the back.
Speaker 3 (21:24):
You did actually follow asleep.
Speaker 10 (21:25):
I don't think I did. It was really cold. I
got really.
Speaker 3 (21:28):
Cold, and it's like there's bats in the here. There's
cockroaches and roaches? Yeah? Like where was the holiday party?
How far away from here?
Speaker 2 (21:39):
Is it?
Speaker 10 (21:40):
Right across the street? It's in the Sherman Oaks Galleria.
Speaker 3 (21:43):
Oh okay, oh I mean Jonas way didn't you attend?
What was your reason?
Speaker 9 (21:51):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (21:51):
Yeah, he was doing radio. I had to work, Hold on,
hold on? What time you have to work yesterday?
Speaker 4 (21:57):
So I worked until two and and had to prepare.
Speaker 3 (22:03):
So you worked until too and after? Yeah, you were
you here? No? It was not here? I will were
you working from home? Oh? So you were home?
Speaker 2 (22:12):
On?
Speaker 3 (22:13):
So your home and you could have easily went to
the holiday part. So I'll take you guys through the afternoon.
How do you go to the How do you not
go to the holiday party? But we'll see if you
guys can relate to this. You probably can't listen. Why
can't you be relatable? And why can't you be a
company many? Let's see if we can relate to you.
Speaker 4 (22:29):
So worked and did radio with the great Fred Rogan
on the Blowtours and five seven l E Sports And
then afterwards I got a quick bite because I had
been fasting up to that point. Again, you guys would know,
so I fasted up to that point, had a little
bite there, and then I started preparing for this.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
What did you eat eggs? That? Was it hard boiled
or no? No, scrambled, scrambled, scrambled a little bit running,
not too dry? Yeah, really very good? Yeah, no, no, no, cheez,
Why would you want that? Yeah. I've worked with him
long enough to know when he does all this. Hey,
so real quick you prepared for the show. That took
you I don't know, probably fifteen thirty minutes, no, no, no, no,
(23:10):
by the time, like your notes, my notes and all that.
Speaker 4 (23:13):
Yeah, piece together, piece together, a little bit of the
Saturday show.
Speaker 3 (23:20):
It did take a while to go over, Levars. That
was take a while. Really ate up a big chunk
of the afternoon. Okay, yeah, Lee was Lee was doing
a bunch of research for your notes on this. Yes,
good Lee.
Speaker 4 (23:31):
And then but by the time I got done with that,
it was already into the party and there was traffic,
and my wife was leaving, so I was going to
be with my son and I don't think showing up.
Speaker 3 (23:41):
What time did the party start again, Lee? Three? And
what time did it end?
Speaker 5 (23:46):
Six o'clock?
Speaker 3 (23:47):
Come on, Joe, Why was the party so early? In
the day. That's a good question.
Speaker 5 (23:53):
It always is around that time.
Speaker 6 (23:54):
I think they're trying to get a lot of the
later shows that crew in before their show started.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
Because it's happy hour prices. That's true. What are we
talking about here? Yeah, it would be cheaper, I think.
Speaker 2 (24:09):
I think Linguard told me that it used to be
like a black tie, bow tie affair, like done really
like high end what eighties? I don't know how long
How long ago was that? It was like the die
Hard Party?
Speaker 3 (24:21):
Right? How long ago here? I don't know, a long
two years ago?
Speaker 4 (24:26):
But yeah, they said they would get at hotels, they'd
have like banquet rooms and.
Speaker 3 (24:32):
So people was bound. That was before us. That was
well before us, well before Yeah, like dress up to
go on a plane. You could smoke cigarettes on a plane.
That was like, that was back then?
Speaker 2 (24:45):
Is that crazy? When I was first flying, you could
smoke cigarettes on the plane. They had to smoke an
area of a plane, or if you were in first
class you could smoke.
Speaker 4 (24:56):
By the way, you'd probably rather deal with that than
that slobby are sitting next to earlier?
Speaker 3 (25:01):
Why do you keep doing that? What are you talking about? That?
Speaker 2 (25:05):
S was bro I'm scarred I'm scarred from that. I
can close my eyes and still see that scene.
Speaker 3 (25:13):
It did seem like people were skinnier back and they
were smokeingboard cigarettes. So I'm just throw that out there.
Speaker 4 (25:17):
So general observation, LeVar is sitting on a plane next
to John Candy trying to get back to do the show.
Speaker 3 (25:26):
Don't don't.
Speaker 4 (25:29):
I took yourselfie for real.
Speaker 3 (25:33):
I should have took itself. You think you would have
been able to fit that in the picture. Oh, I'm
not got you sick, sick, still fighting.
Speaker 4 (25:42):
It just reckless, selfish behavior.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
It was reckless. It was so reckless it shouldn't be tolerated. Repulsive.
I'm so repulsed by it. How are you allowed to
just cough and sneeze and have a running nose like
that and fly? I don't understand it.
Speaker 3 (26:04):
I just don't. I don't.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
I'm like, I'm joking with you, I at first, but
now I'm like back to being serious because I have
felt like crap all week long, and that's bull crap.
Speaker 3 (26:13):
Man.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
Seriously, how are you able to just bark on somebody?
I mean just I mean just uncontrollably just coughing and
sneezing and.
Speaker 3 (26:28):
Blowing your nose like you know, like the like you
have a whole bunch of used cleanexes sitting right there.
That's so gruss, bro, It's revolting. Bro.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
I have my face in my my hoodie Like I'm
like looking at the person putting my face in my hoodie,
like do you not understand what me putting my face
in my shirt?
Speaker 3 (26:51):
Bra?
Speaker 2 (26:51):
Like I don't even get to enjoy my flight, like
I have to keep and I don't even want to
look at you because I know the germs that you're
spewing out of your nose and your mouth and your
face are going into my eyes. So I'm looking at
you and they're going into my eyes. I don't know. Anyways,
let's let's let's transition into about some sports man. Well,
(27:14):
let's talk about some spots.
Speaker 3 (27:15):
Lorina caught some z's and she's good to go well
with the with that.
Speaker 2 (27:21):
Baby, Yeah see that's what I'm talking about. Quick, quick response,
very witty.
Speaker 3 (27:26):
Uh did you guys see that?
Speaker 4 (27:28):
According to Grant Hughes of Inside Carolina dot Com, Bill Belichick.
Speaker 3 (27:32):
Yeah, I have to read over that.
Speaker 4 (27:34):
Yeah, he has interviewed for the North Carolina job, the
head coaching job there. Obviously they moved on from mac Brown,
but Belichick kind of sniffing around, And Albert Breer was
on Amazon last night talking about Belichick's going to be
back coaching football and in some way, shape or form,
whether it be high school, college in the NFL, but
that he feels like with some of the changes in
(27:56):
college football, it might be easier for him and fast
for him to build a winner in college football, and
that he's not going to take just any NFL job.
And I just I find it hard to believe that
he's this close to the all times, all time wins
record in the NFL when it comes to coaches and
he's just gonna go coach at North Carolina or somewhere
else in college.
Speaker 3 (28:15):
Yeah, rumor has that helping out his son Steve at
the University of Washington and being around that program has
intrigued his interest, apparently. Is how people are putting it.
Tell me how this makes sense from North Carolina standpoint, Like,
I get, he's Bill Belichick, He's the greatest of all time,
but he's also what's seventy two? Mac Brown was seventy three? Like,
(28:40):
why do you move on from mac Brown? Because you
weren't winning enough, and so you're just like, okay, we're okay,
bring in Bill Belichick, who's seventy two. I mean, if
you're Bubba Cunningham, their athletic director. Yes, it's a name,
it's a big name, but there has to be a
secession plan. It's not like Bill Belichick's gonna be your
next head coach for the next I don't know. Does
(29:00):
he want to do it for five more years? Does
he do it four more years? I mean, how many
more years is he going to coach? And we've speculated
about this. I mean, I get it. He's dating a
twenty four years, so apparently he's still got a lot
of it's pretty spry, he's got a lot of energy
at him. But you know, by the way, so at first,
anyone who questions whether or not he can recruit someone
of that age, I think that question has been answered.
(29:24):
He's not gonna have an issue recruiting. It's a dan
age in college football too, where nil plays a large
portion of it in your roster construction. And I'll go
ahead and say this. You guys can take shots of
me for saying this. I think he would have a
coach prime type effect. When I say that, I mean this,
(29:44):
if he calls, I mean, how could you not answer?
How could you not want to go visit? How could
you not want to sit down with Bill Belichick? Like
very similar to Prime. If you're a prospect and you're
a parent, you're like, yeah, I'm gonna be flying to
go check out what's happening down at North Carolina now
(30:06):
with Bill Belichick as their head coach? Hell yeah? Is
he too old school for the new school?
Speaker 2 (30:11):
Though?
Speaker 3 (30:12):
Oh man, I think again he's dating a twenty four
year old, Like whatever preconceived notion you've got. The way
he's portrayed himself to in the media and all this,
like he's on McAfee's, on all these different platforms. I
think he's I don't want to say reinvented himself, but
I think he's allowed himself to evolve. And I think
the thing that I love about this, and this is
(30:32):
the thing that a lot of you know, players or
coaches will talk about, is one on one, Bill Belichick
was a lot different than how he was portrayed to
the masses because how he handled the media. And I
think you're starting to see now a little bit of
the fun side of him right where you're like, probably
didn't peg him to be the type of guy that
was going to be dating a twenty four year old, right.
I don't know that anyone had that in their cards.
(30:55):
Well that's where he's at personally. So again, I'm not
trying to like you that as a point for everything,
but I do think there's a lot we don't know
about him, And I think, yeah to your question, LeVar,
I do. I think every single player that gets a
note from Bill Belichick in North Carolina, if you're a
parent too, like you're like, son, you're gonna go you're
gonna check this out, Like you're gonna go visit with him,
(31:17):
We're gonna have him for a visit like it. That's
how that whole situation will work out.
Speaker 2 (31:21):
I don't know, man, I don't know what his relatability
would be like. When thinking about how Prime has been
able to do it, it's because he's been a cultural
icon for so long. Belichick has been a winner at okay,
but hold on, hold on pause. He's a cultural icon
because he was really good at sports. Yeah, Like, you
could talk about all the stuff off the field, but
(31:41):
if you don't have what's on the field.
Speaker 3 (31:43):
You can't be what's off the field. Yeah, so dual
sport athlete, Hall of Fame or all that, Yeah, that
plays a role in it. But he's also arguably the
greatest coach ever. Yeah, but that doesn't make him a
cultural icon. It makes them relatable though to parents and
people in that spelling, whereas they want to go see
and have their son at least talk to the guy.
(32:04):
I'm like, again, I'm not saying to play for him.
Speaker 2 (32:07):
I think it definitely would be appealing in terms of
if you want to win, like coming into it and saying, hey,
can we win here?
Speaker 3 (32:13):
Now what we win with Bill Belichick on but see,
I would actually I would actually question that more. I
would question that more than anything else. Is like the
college game is very different for the NFL game, Like,
just because he's had success in the NFL doesn't mean
he will in college. If he did go back to college.
I think that would be the only thing he'd have
(32:34):
going for him as the reason why. I think. I
think if someone was like, oh, we're not going to
go see Bill Belt, you're an idiot, Like, like, if
that's how you would think about not seeing a guy
who's won as many Super Bowls as he has, has
coached as many great players as he has, That would
be the most idiotic thing I would think of for
that prospect in their parents, like I just can't teach stiff.
Speaker 2 (32:57):
I think that would be the only thing that would
be reasonable in terms of what would be the draw
is that he's a winner, like he is the winner
as it applies to NFL football, So I would agree.
Speaker 3 (33:10):
But culturally speaking.
Speaker 2 (33:12):
I don't think that would be the draw like it
would and it would not be a prime effect.
Speaker 3 (33:17):
I think he would he I think he would be interesting.
I think it would be Again, I think you're missing
what I'm saying because I'm not talking about culturally. I
realized there's but I think that's because here's what I
say that well. I think prime though too. Again, I
go back to his success, Like the parents of a
lot of the players that he's recruiting, our fans are fans. Yeah,
(33:38):
it's no different than the you know, parents of players
they're recruiting for you know, Bill Belichick would be recruiting.
In this hypothetical, they would be fans like they would
have been fans who either rooted against him rooted for him.
But either way, they respected him. So it's not a
cultural thing. I mean, I guess I'll put it this way.
If you want to go that far with a cultural thing,
that it's a cultural thing for Jonas and I then up,
(34:02):
I think that's yeah.
Speaker 2 (34:08):
I mean, if we're being honest, I think that's a
valid point. If we're being all the way honest on
Fox Sports Radio, I think that's a valid Yes, it
might be a Prime effect for white people.
Speaker 3 (34:18):
There you go, like, let's just call it what it is.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
Yeah, because I think that what makes Prime, what makes
what he's created there such a lightning in a bottle situation,
is his ability to leverage culture. That's the whole thing.
It's the whole entire thing. So yeah, I would agree with.
Speaker 3 (34:40):
You on that. Like, I mean, I don't know how
many I.
Speaker 2 (34:44):
Don't know how many white kids are are drawn to
Colorado based off of the Prime effect.
Speaker 3 (34:49):
I don't know. He was one of my favorite players
growing up.
Speaker 2 (34:51):
I don't know that. If I don't, I don't know what.
I don't know what that looks like. I just know
a lot of dudes, culturally speaking, have tried to mimic
and do the things that like Prime has. I don't
know how much he's crossed barriers and transcend it, but
culturally speaking, like in black communities, Prime is like he's
(35:17):
like the holy Grail of of athletes.
Speaker 4 (35:20):
Are you trying to say that Belichick wouldn't look better
in a pair of blenders than Deon Sanders?
Speaker 3 (35:25):
No, I'm not saying.
Speaker 2 (35:26):
What I'm saying is what I'm saying is is that
he would not have the type of impact that Prime
is having. I don't think anybody would. I don't think
ray lewis how you how you.
Speaker 3 (35:37):
Measure it, Like if you're saying, like selling blenders and
some of the attention of media attention, but like it's
just a lot well, I think a lot of people
who would want to tune in to watch those games
the seal would go.
Speaker 2 (35:50):
I mean, I just don't think I'm just opinion coming
out from my way. I just don't think it would
be as as interesting it.
Speaker 3 (35:59):
Would not be. I'm not trying to convince you otherwise.
I think it would be fascinating though, for a guy
that's so close to beating Don Shul's record that instead
of in his final years coaching, doesn't go back to
the NFL, he goes to college's creased.
Speaker 2 (36:14):
Like when Sean Payton went back and coached pee wee
league football and they made a movie about it, like
that type stuff.
Speaker 3 (36:20):
Well, you know, you know it was actually real. I
think it was.
Speaker 2 (36:23):
I think it was based on a movie, but I
think it was based off.
Speaker 3 (36:28):
When he was out. Yeah, I think he coached that year,
like with his son or whatever.
Speaker 6 (36:31):
Like.
Speaker 4 (36:31):
Wouldn't that also speak volumes to the jobs that are
open in the NFL of Belichick's like, nah, I'm gonna
go to North Carolina.
Speaker 3 (36:38):
I don't think that that's what it would be.
Speaker 4 (36:40):
No, if there wasn't a better, better opportunity in the
NFL this close to the record.
Speaker 2 (36:45):
I don't think that would necessarily be the reason why
he didn't take the NFL, because the NFL is the NFL.
If you if you can get the situation that he
thought he was going to get in Atlanta, He's going
to take that job. So I think it's more about
what his opportunities are. I mean, if there's one thing
I would say, if you could look at at Dion
(37:06):
and say someone like Bill Belichick would be able to
do at the college level from my perspective, is he'd
have total control.
Speaker 3 (37:15):
Total like you're a total total control. The only thing
that I'm curious to see about Coach Prime in Colorado
is once they lose Shador, who will probably be the
first overall player take in the draft. Travis Hunter, who's
a top ten, you know, pick top five whatever however
he's viewed, probably gonna win the Heisman Trophy. Once you
(37:36):
remove those two, you know, is there sustaining power in
that like initially, like there was improvement from what was
there before he got there. Year two, there's improvement, But
next year's going to be the true test because you
can have whatever five star, four star dudes you want,
and if those guys don't play, don't pan out, you
don't win, it becomes hard. Then you know, you can
(37:58):
sell whatever you want, like culture and all that saying
like that's that's all success is ultimately what everyone wants
because because you could sit there in those living rooms
and you can get your foot in the door because
of you know, your Coach Prime or Bill Belichick. But
if you can't actually win, you can't help that player
get drafted and you know, get them the nil deals
because they're gonna be a star player, like that becomes.
Speaker 2 (38:19):
The issue at what Prime is facing is will he
be able to keep his relevance? This season did him
a lot of good because he was facing that this season.
That was a part of what could have become the
narrative like, oh well, the Prime effect is going to
(38:40):
wear off because there's only so much smoking mirrors that
you can do to try to basically say a three
win season is okay because it's coach Prime that that
he was facing that this season. He got a break
last year because the team was in such bad bad
(39:01):
shape when he took over. Had he had the same
type of season this year, you just believe, Yeah, come on, man,
that culture stuff is out the door, Like yeah, you're
Deon Sanders, You're Prime, And I'll be honest with you,
like on on everything.
Speaker 3 (39:16):
And that's my dog, like that's my old teammate, Like
we were cool. I mean, man.
Speaker 2 (39:22):
Looked at me like you know, Dad, Like I mean,
I like, I like Coach Prime because you got to
know him at the UA game and like Coach Hart,
I like him, but I don't know that they can win,
so I don't want to go there. And you're gonna
have like if they did not have they had the
type of season where you could at least say, you
know what, they can win and if they do bring
(39:45):
in which they got juju, and he could be the guy,
could be another guy who surfaces that is the guy.
Maybe they get somebody out of the transfer portal. But
he has made Colorado attractive enough through culture and now
culture and a winning season. Like you think about it,
he brings. It's like a who's who of celebrities that
(40:09):
he has guest list wise that comes.
Speaker 3 (40:11):
To his games.
Speaker 2 (40:12):
He does so many interesting things that make it a
drawl for people to want, Like I would, I would
go on a visit to Colorado just to see who's
on the sideline, like a chance to meet this person
or take a tanture with that guy, you know.
Speaker 3 (40:28):
And I'm sure kids have and I'm sure kids will
continue to do it, and.
Speaker 2 (40:30):
They might not go there because of it, but I
dang sure want to go there just to see what
it's like.
Speaker 3 (40:36):
Right, And then now that's your that's your carrot. That's
that's what. That's the hard part is they're only we
kind of talked about their strategy before and how they recruit.
They're only recruiting about you know, ten, maybe fifteen high
school kids anyway, So they're kind of being more selective
in how they go about it because they've one to
build through the portal. Now. The hard thing is too
and saying that is like, is that even sustainable? You know?
(40:57):
Can you keep turning over your roster the way they
have and be able to have sustained success? Like most
people will sit there and say, like, go back to
that twenty twenty two Texas A and M class that
was the number one recruited class. I forget how many
millions of dollars were thrown around back when ross Byorke
was the athletic director down there and jimbo Fish was
the head coach. Do you guys know that pretty much
(41:20):
every single player, with the exception of one who's the
starter there and then one who's gotten benched, hit the portal.
So you have to realize that if you're bringing in
a portal player, he wasn't good enough somewhere else, Otherwise
they would have kept them. We're now at a point
where everyone can pay the guys that want to keep
(41:41):
and so unless there it was a playing time issue
or there's some other outstanding circumstance, it's most likely comes
down to, like, dah, that guy wasn't good enough somewhere else,
so he's gett an opportunity elsewhere. And that's not saying
that like that guy shouldn't have the opportunity, it's just
can you ultimately build a winning team on that. At
some point point, you got to start getting those four star,
(42:01):
five star, you know, three star kids out of high school.
Speaker 1 (42:04):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific.
Five lines, not those kind of lines. Five picks, five spreads.
(42:25):
Time for picks against the spreads.
Speaker 3 (42:27):
All right, let's see how I got screwed last week?
Speaker 6 (42:29):
Yeah, let's see man, all right, Jonas screwed a little
rapid fire here.
Speaker 5 (42:33):
We have, Yeah, a lot of holiday games picks.
Speaker 3 (42:35):
Last week.
Speaker 6 (42:36):
We had LeVar was the only one who had Chicago
to cover versus the Lions. We had everybody correctly picking
Cowboys to cover versus the Giants. Brady went on a
run with picking Green Bay to beat the Dolphins and
the Raiders to cover versus the Chiefs, and then lastly
six picks hit with the money line Philadelphia versus the Ravens.
Speaker 5 (42:55):
Good job there, v are.
Speaker 6 (42:56):
So last week we had Brady and LeVar tied up
three two, Jonas a measly one and four.
Speaker 3 (43:03):
No time to complain.
Speaker 5 (43:05):
I had stuff going on, Yeah, losing his lead to Var.
Var now has a one game lead.
Speaker 3 (43:11):
There we go, Var, Hell, yeah, you know, good job
to you. Que Well, I've missed a few weeks. We
went there and two. There you go. All right, I
would have got this, all right, fellas.
Speaker 6 (43:22):
Week fourteen, we have Browns at Steelers. Steelers are six
and a half point favorites.
Speaker 8 (43:26):
At home, Steelers six point favorites, six six, and we'll
go with my Browns. I love Janis six and I
love them.
Speaker 2 (43:37):
I don't think they will win by more than six,
So I'm gonna I'm gonna take the Browns.
Speaker 3 (43:41):
Sticks picks.
Speaker 6 (43:43):
Falcons at Vikings. Vikings five and a half point favorites
at home.
Speaker 3 (43:47):
Falcons.
Speaker 4 (43:49):
I think Kirko responds, can't have four bad games in
a row, can he.
Speaker 3 (43:55):
I'm taking the Vikings.
Speaker 1 (43:56):
Answer to that, sticks picks.
Speaker 3 (43:59):
I'm going too, Oh man, I'm gonna pick the Falcons.
Speaker 6 (44:06):
We got Bills at Rams. Bills are three and a
half point favorites on the road.
Speaker 4 (44:10):
Rams, and I don't know why I got a bad
fielding Bills.
Speaker 3 (44:14):
They're gonna hammer them just like Jonas gets hammered. Damn.
Speaker 2 (44:20):
I'm yeah the Bills A cover Sticks picks NFC West
Seahawks at Cardinals.
Speaker 5 (44:28):
Cardinals three point favorites at home.
Speaker 2 (44:29):
Cardinals Seahawks three and a half point favorite over to Seahawks.
Speaker 3 (44:37):
Yes, take the Seahawks.
Speaker 5 (44:39):
Sunday Night Football Chargers at Chiefs Chiefs four point favorites
Speaker 3 (44:41):
With Chiefs Chiefs Chiefs Chiefs
