Speaker 4 (00:22):
We got it.
Speaker 5 (00:24):
Damn you win, some you lose.
Speaker 6 (00:27):
It is two pros that are coming Joe here on

classic that took place last night at the Orange Bowl

the way tire buying should we That was a hell
(01:09):
of a football.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
Foremost, it was a good game.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
It was an incredible game. Come on, var No, I'm
gonna let you go.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
Yeah one, so go yeah, you know, I'll let you go, y'all.
Let you lead off with it.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
I thought that was probably one of the best the
semi final games, maybe the best semi final game.
Speaker 4 (01:30):
Since you know the playoff has started.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
You know, typically typically in the four team playoffs, the
semi final games have not been close.
Speaker 4 (01:38):
It's been runaways. And that was a game that first half.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
You could say it started slow, but I thought that
was more of a defensive battle.
Speaker 4 (01:45):
That was the strength of both teams. Both teams made.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
Adjustments, both teams started score more there in the second half.
There were some mistakes, their teams are capitalized out those mistakes.
Speaker 4 (01:55):
I just I thought it was an.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
Awesome representation of two blue bloods in college football. But
more than anything else, man like, just you know, the
win for Notre Dame has been the epitome of what
their season's been. I mean, guys getting heard, guys stepping up,
you know, guys finding ways to get the job done.
I mean they're down to their third left tackle of
(02:19):
the season, Tosh Baker came in and it was able
to kind of get.
Speaker 4 (02:23):
The job done in the end.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
So credits to Marcus Freeman, credit that staff, to all
the players, like every single person that's part of it.
You know, I think it's been incredible to watch that
team that's got so many guys that are now in backups,
that are starters, and now they get the shot to
play for a national championship.
Speaker 4 (02:40):
It truly is remarkable.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
You know. The first thought I had, outside of my
obvious thoughts being a Penn stater, which wouldn't be appropriate
for radio, I thought to myself, the college football Playoff,
whether people want to to condemn it or you know,
criticize it intensely and fiercely. I thought last night was
(03:08):
one of those stories that says, Listen, a season is
a season, and it develops it. It has changes, it
has turns, twists, storyline plots that that change, and you
have a team playing for the national title that lost
(03:32):
to Northern Illinois earlier on in the season. So to me,
what it says is, it's not how you start, it's
ultimately what a team does, which in the true nature
of competition and learning, because I look at sport as
(03:53):
a microcosm of real life and learning valuable lessons as
a full ballplayer, First and foremost, I was just super
proud to be a letterman and alumni of Penn State
and US be out there on the field with a
team that bolstered and had the same feel from their
(04:19):
alumni and their letterman and from their fans in the stands.
It was a mirror image of programs. And what really
stood out to me was and looking at how that
team played, there was so much guts, and I'd say
both teams, there was so much guts involved in that game.
(04:44):
And you could tell that neither team wanted to lose
that game, neither team. And you could say that about
other games or other teams, but I just felt like
it was just so evident in last night's game, and
whether people would say, oh, Okay, well this team didn't
belong there, this, that, and the other, like, if you
(05:05):
earn your way into the tournament, I don't give a
damn from there who you lost to. I don't give
a damn about all these other elements that people try
to present to the scenario. If you find a way
to get into the tournament, anything goes from there, and
now you have Notre Dame in the national title game,
(05:28):
and it's well deserved. It was a hard fought game,
and again I thought both teams played their hearts out.
They left it on the field, and I was a
proud I was truly proud to be a part of it,
like to have been there. I was like, man, this
is a crazy, really really good game, and I was
(05:48):
happy to be there. I just it just sucks that
we were on the other side of it, you know,
as a former player and as an alumni, it just
it just sucked to come out on the other side
of it, you know. But but you know, hats off
to Dame. Honestly, Like, it couldn't have been a better
team for us to have our season end than to
lose to a team like I said, that mirrored the
(06:11):
heart of what we represent, you know. And then that's
just going out there and laying it on the line
and trying to be the best that you can be.
And they just happened to be the better team with
one field goal at the end of the game. So
good for them and good luck to them.
Speaker 6 (06:26):
From a South Carolina gamecock by the way, I just
want to point that out and getting it done there. Yeah,
by the way, the scene was fantastic at the start
of that game.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
It was so loud, it was amazing.
Speaker 6 (06:39):
Man, Like I was expecting, well, it's neutral site. I
know it's a big game, but you know you're going
to get a split, and you know, who knows what.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
That place was.
Speaker 6 (06:47):
Loud as hell and people were I thought both programs
represented themselves not just from a football standpoint, but from
a fan based stamp.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
It was pretty dope. Really well, it was pretty dope. Yeah,
it was awesome. Notre Dame them Catholics, but they was rocking. Man,
they were rocking. I ain't think that, you know, I
ain't think no church. There weren't no Bible thumpers up
in there last night. I'll tell you that. I realized
that and experienced that on my way out to the
shuttle back to the hotel too. You know.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
Yeah, one thing about like the journey to get to
this point is and I'll pull back the colonel. I'll
be very transparent, honest.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
You know.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
We talk about things sometimes on the show, and sometimes
we hint at things, we mentioned things, but we're not
like fully transparent. This has been a long time in
the making in the sense of, you know, when you
go back to how Notre Dame ultimately got here. This
was all sparked by the decision of Brian Kelly to
(07:47):
choose to go to LSU. Brian Kelly, the head coach
at LSU, who back when he left Notre Dame. But
I think he believed he said sometime and you know
in January that you know, he wanted an environment where
they had their resources to win a national championship. That
was his words, and just to be fully honest and transparent.
(08:09):
That sticked me off man literally January nineteenth, in twenty
twenty two. And after he said all these words, I
called my attorney the next day and I said, you're
going to file for a collective. This is what we're
going to do. This is how you're going to put
it together. I formed a board, started a fundraise, proved
the concept. After that started to bring out more people
(08:33):
and grow and expand, and it created a collective that
had the resources necessary to support this.
Speaker 4 (08:41):
So this is back and all triggered because of Brian Kelly.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
And there are so many people who stepped up from
Notre Dame Nation to help put together the resources necessary
to support Marcus Freeman, to support the players to be
able to.
Speaker 4 (08:59):
Step up because they were ticked off. I mean, I'm
just one of many.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
Like when I look at what our collective was able
to start and how we were able to help out
our football team. It was in large part a call
to action because of Brian Kelly. And if you look
at where the university is at now and the fact
that they're building onto their Sports performance center, you know,
(09:25):
they've got millions that they've been able to raise through
an IL and support their program, and many players, which
the quarterback Roley Leonard probably off the top of amongst
everyone else, you know, is there in a big reason
because of an IL. You know, all those things to me,
like i'd say, great pride in and I think I
know there's a lot of people who took great pride
(09:46):
in watching this team, watching Marcus be able to succeed,
and they took that as a sign of disrespect from
Brian Kelly when he left. So now that Notre there,
they're playing for a national championship, and I know there's
a lot of people who are like, hey, the mission's
not done. This is no different than Brian Kelly bs.
(10:09):
This is very different than when Brian Kelly had this
football team. The way Marcus has built this thing up,
the way Notre Dame is built up over his ten
ures so far, it feels different because it is different.
Speaker 4 (10:20):
This isn't as this is nothing comparable.
Speaker 3 (10:23):
To what Brian Kelly was like when he was the
head coach there. They had some great teams, the twenty
twenty twelve team that went to a national championship with
man Titeo. You look at some of the teams with
Ian Book, you know, guys who were able to get
to the playoffs. The way this team is playing, the
way it's built, the resources that they have, it's on
(10:43):
a different level now. So that's one of the things
that I kind of take away from a lot of
the folks I saw last night and take great pride
in so many people that like stepped up to the
call to action to be a part of it. You know,
it's so much and obviously every thing is what happens
on the field, but there's a lot of things that
happened mind closed doors too, And I think that's one
(11:05):
of the things that like I'm proud of, you know,
when you look at this because because college football has
changed in that way, like it's not just about the
players and coaches, it's like how they get there, the roster.
Speaker 4 (11:16):
Construction, all the things behind it.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
So it was very gratifying to see Notre Dame get
there to the national Championship game and a twelve team
expanded playoff before Brian Kelly's LSU team has even made
it into the College Football Playoff.
Speaker 6 (11:34):
There was some skeptics about whether or not Marcus Freeman,
you know, if he wasn't you know, with the program,
would have gotten the job or would have gotten a
real look at it. And so it's got to be
pretty gratifying for him as well too, because I remember
there was a lot of people like, well, he's just
kind of a he's there, and Brian Kelly put him
in a tough spot, so we'll give him the opportunity.
And this path that they had to take, I think
(11:57):
is way more difficult than what Brian Kelly did in
twenty thirteen. Like to have to go through the gauntlet
to win that game last night, Like, it's a tremendous story, man,
So good for good for Notre Dame and you know,
fun fun environment through and.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
Through last night. I thought, yeah, yeah, I'm I'm ticked off,
and who I'm going I'm going to do the same
exact things. Well I have been doing the same exact things,
you know, in terms of assisting and supporting our you know,
our collective and our programs. So just continue to build.
(12:32):
I mean, I'm ticked off for greatness, that's all. You
get so close, you get so close, and you know
it gets away from you. But I'm so proud of
our guys. They went out there and they competed at
such a high level, and you know, just just hate
to see it come up short. I hate it for
(12:54):
for Drew, you know, I hate it for the rest
of those guys because people will judge the game and
base it upon Drew, you know, throwing the ball, and
I hate it for him.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
Can we give credit to the dB like Gray, Like
I know we want to look at the result and go, oh,
Drew out of the interception. It's like, man, give the
young man who made a plan on credit. I mean,
for starters too. Christian Gray's had his ups and downs
this season, and for that to be one of the
(13:27):
capitalizing moments to help get this team in a position
to be able to go to the National Championship again,
it speaks to the story of what their season has been.
You know, guys who've been knocked down, the team that
you know lost them, maybe was counted Albers have the
Northern Illinois loss, and yet they just keep fighting, keep
standing right back up, man.
Speaker 2 (13:46):
I think again, I think that that's the message that
I came away with from the game. It's just resiliency
and what sports sports teach you, you know, you take
that into the real world, into real life, like even
just getting up and being here this morning, like I
did not want to be here to do the show
yesterday or today, especially yesterday, yes so Bang particular yesterday.
(14:09):
But you you learn those valuable lessons. You got to
show up, you got to be present, you got to
be available. You know, you got to put your best
foot forward. And you know, these teams, both of those
teams that had their adversities that they've gone through and
their challenges that that they had to go through and
(14:30):
they had to endure. And and now one of those
teams is playing for a national title. And I couldn't
be more prouder of our guys, even in a loss.
I couldn't be more prouder of those guys the way
they came together and the way they competed and got
into the playoffs and were literally to two plays away
(14:51):
from from being in the national title. They had their opportunities.
You know, if Nick Singleton doesn't drop the ball going in,
that's that's that's seven points instead of three points. You know,
there were there were moments in time where and in
all honesty, I felt like Penn State could have put
their foot on Notre Dame's neck and finished the game
(15:14):
off and Notre Dame wouldn't go anywhere. They kept They
came back and tied up the game when I thought
that it would have been an opportunity if we got
them off the field, you know, on defense, that we
could open up a gap in the score. And it
didn't happen that way, you know, and the next thing
you know, it's tied up, and then next thing you know,
(15:36):
it's really a game. And then now it's like coming
down to a matter of you know, series and moments
and how much time is left and talk about understanding
situational football and knowing how to use your timeouts and
the clock management of everything and being you know, is
he in range to make the field goald or not?
(15:57):
You know, all kinds of different things that just your
paying attention to. I mean, the field goal kicker had
not had a great uh, you know, making percentage. I
believe from where he was at. What's that in the
regular season, right, he's good in the playoffs.
Speaker 6 (16:14):
Eleven of eighteen in the regular season or something like that.
Speaker 2 (16:17):
It was. It was a low percentage.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
Eleven of eighteen is on the season, I believe in
total in the playoffs he's only missed one so far.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
So and that was the biggest kick that to date
and that he's going to kick. So it was it
was one of those things where you know, I thought
he missed it.
Speaker 6 (16:40):
I thought it was going wide right that it hooked back.
Speaker 3 (16:43):
Bro, can we get to like just where the hell
you and Lee were? So I'm jumping up from the
field after doing my I think with the Orange Bowl.
I've said this before, but everyone kept seeing me wearing
orange jack, like, what the hell are you wearing? I'm like,
I'm on the Origibowl committee. I chaired the Hall of
Fame committee. Herban Meyer, Matt Leiner, Vince Wilforker getting in,
(17:06):
there's an on field presentation, and then as I'm walking
up with those guys taking them up to the suite
they're in, I get bumpings by Jonas who's with Lee, Like,
what the hell are you guys doing down there? And
they're like, we're taking it out, man, where are you going?
They're like, oh, it's bumping around.
Speaker 2 (17:27):
I never see Brady Quinn.
Speaker 3 (17:29):
Well, that was the weird thing is I didn't. I
never saw I saw someone who saw you. I think
Julius Jones who I saw and Arrow, two of.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
The guys that played with and I played with the
in the Washington Yeah.
Speaker 3 (17:45):
So I literally I go where is he? And I
popped out and I was like looking at running down
the hallway and they go, no, Bro, They're like, he's
he's gone. He was there earlier, he left once somewhere else.
He's like, okay, I tried, but I'm still trying to
figure out how to help Jonas and Lee anywhere near
the field.
Speaker 6 (18:01):
So we walked in.
Speaker 2 (18:03):
Uh, Lee still walking around with his credential army. I'm
certain that Lead Lee did not take his clothes off.
I'm certain I'm certain that Lee boy did what Lee
Boy did and just got up and you know, came
down and.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
Were farting like all over us. I was just showing
it yesterday. She's smelled terrible.
Speaker 6 (18:29):
Take it with you.
Speaker 3 (18:30):
It smelled like one of the one was like everything
you can throw on a pizza order that like you
let you left in the kitchen like overnight for two
days and like no one touched it.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
I broke when on the sideline yesterday Lee and blamed
it on some of the new beests. I turned around,
was like, oh gosh, which one of you was it?
And they looked they were like you smelled itd you dealted,
that's it. That's such a rookie move. You know you
got that's why you have braces on your little little
scrub Like they would look the early enrollees that that
(19:01):
had their you know, their sweats on. And that was
really cool for me too, by the way, being on
the sideline with little LeVar with men Man and being
able to watch a lot of the game with him,
I mean talk about inspiration for the future. You know.
He was like, Dad, I just I wish I was
out there, like I know I could make a difference.
(19:22):
Like imagine sitting there here in your son, like that's
a crowning moment, Like he'll do what he's going to
do and handle his business the way he does. But
just to hear your son that like you shmacked him on,
you know, put his put his diapers on, and all
kinds of stuff. And now he's turned into a young
man that's sitting there telling you in the biggest game
of the season that you know, I wish I was
(19:43):
out there because I could make a difference. It's pretty cool. Man,
shouts out to tricially. But that's pretty That was a
pretty humbling woman too. Man, that's pretty humbling.
Speaker 6 (19:55):
Yeah. Cool environment. We got plenty of stories on the night.
I think trying to figure that out. I mean, if
you're gonna take a nap, why wouldn't it be in
the back of an uber? You know, leave it a
stadium makes all the sense in the world. So we've
got we've got all the details from last night. We're
going to get more into the game as well too.
(20:15):
And it is, by the way important, I should remind
you guys, because I don't know if we had mentioned
this earlier.
Speaker 2 (20:21):
But I'm not going to move forward. But move for
what what you're going to do. It's a football rider.
Speaker 3 (20:27):
Have no voice lost, you know.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
We finally hear right.
Speaker 5 (20:50):
Place?
Speaker 2 (20:51):
Man, Okay, do the next one right? We want to
get out of here. The next one good Football Friday.

did you use to hold that door open? A stick
of deoder?
Speaker 3 (22:38):
What door do you need to hold the hold open?
Speaker 6 (22:40):
So the hotel, he went outside to make a call
and he goes outside. It's the it's the door by
the pool. So he took a stick of theodor and
that she's got door open.
Speaker 2 (22:51):
Did you hear? Lee?
Speaker 3 (22:56):
The fact that Lee has deuterant.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
Is another thing that is a win. That is a
when my old quick, Lee?
Speaker 3 (23:03):
Who are you calling?
Speaker 5 (23:05):
I'm calling the studio?
Speaker 3 (23:07):
What were you calling about?
Speaker 6 (23:09):
Uh?
Speaker 5 (23:09):
You know, work stuff, behind the scenes things.
Speaker 4 (23:12):
Lee, Why can't you just say what the hell you
were calling about?
Speaker 5 (23:15):
We were calling about a read that we were doing
during the during the break.
Speaker 6 (23:18):
Okay, by the way, Lee, you got butcher at last?
Speaker 2 (23:21):
Yeah, right now.
Speaker 4 (23:26):
But he looked like he was in outer space.
Speaker 6 (23:31):
Who are you, like, uh, how many because you're doing
G and t's right, yeah, yeah, a few of those.
Speaker 2 (23:38):
Look, you could tell about the way he's responding that
he's still like banged up a.
Speaker 5 (23:41):
Little talking about him totally fun.
Speaker 2 (23:43):
No way, no way, no here.
Speaker 3 (23:47):
The same thing too that you were in the day before.
Speaker 5 (23:50):
Well, like we have talked about, I only have a
few things to work with, right, Yeah, if you don't
remember Edwards, your hands went.
Speaker 6 (23:57):
Through his.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
Care.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
He's definitely worn this outfit at least every single time
I've seen him, now that you put that up, because
now that now that job mentioned it, like he's worn
this same outfit.
Speaker 5 (24:12):
Well I did, I did, just yeah, I did just
throw this on.
Speaker 3 (24:18):
I asked you in the in the elevator, by the way,
because as as I forget where we're going, maybe we're
going to get water or coffee or something yesterday, like
it's on the elevator. He goes, Yeah, the hotels charged
me twice, double charge me. I've really got to talk
to him about that. And I was like, oh, yeah, man,
it's me. Case's put in a credit card or something.
(24:39):
You go, yeah, man, but I need the money. I'm
out of money right now, which keep charging you. It
probably back to your fantasy league. Yeah it no.
Speaker 6 (24:56):
They're they're fine. What do you mean they're fine. That's
their money, it's.
Speaker 5 (25:02):
It is their money. Yeah, they'll get their money. Don't
worry about it.
Speaker 7 (25:09):
I mean, so, basically, all of a sudden, this hotel
has now somehow responsible for your fantasy league's payouts because
you didn't pay.
Speaker 6 (25:19):
Them and you spent the money.
Speaker 2 (25:21):
Yeah, we'll blame blame the hotel.
Speaker 6 (25:26):
You spent the money, Yeah, because the hotel double charged
me the accounts.
Speaker 3 (25:33):
Fantasy has nothing to do with the cash you got
earlier for your fantasy league that you spent like weeks ago.
Speaker 6 (25:42):
What did you what did you spend it on? Bombay? Hendricks?
What did you Hendricks? I don't like Bombay?
Speaker 5 (25:49):
Oh gosh, well he's on that actually actually not a
big fan of Hendricks either, but.
Speaker 6 (25:57):
But but it beats water. Well I'm all out of water,
so Hendricks is Oh lord, all right, Well listen. It
took a little while, but you know one NFL team
has decided to make the move. Tom Telesco, the general
manager of the Raiders no more. Two days after they
(26:20):
fired Antonio pierceer Head coach Tom telesco is gone one
year after he was originally hired, So I mean, I
guess they cleaned house completely. We were talking about just
sort of the Teeter totter of you keep your GM,
but you fire your coach or vice versa. They did
it in Tennessee. They've done it in other places. I mean,
at least the Raiders are clearing house. I'm just trying
(26:41):
to figure out what changed in two days.
Speaker 2 (26:43):
I don't think anything changed in two days. I think
there's a plan that's being executed. And as much as
I would say, I do not like the fact that
they got rid of Antonio Pierce under the circumstances that
they did. If you if you bring in a new
ownership person, like you have a group come in. Tom
(27:04):
Brady's a part of that. It's been discussed that he's
going to be a part of helping revamp and rebuild
what's going on with the Raiders. So if you're choosing
to go in a different direction, but you only fired
the head coach after the head coach did not have
a roster that should have been able to win, I
(27:25):
don't like the way that felt. I don't like the
way it sounded, but then you execute further a decision
that makes you feel as though they're setting the stage
for what should take place if you're going to try
to build what you're going to build and being a winner.
And we talked about this on the show yesterday, which
is a relationship that's strong between the GM and the coach,
(27:50):
and that seems as though that would be the most
feasible understanding an idea of what this decision represents. This
this decision represents to me, you're clearing it all out,
You've leveled it, and now you're going to truly build
whatever it is that you're going to build in Las Vegas.
Speaker 3 (28:11):
I'm with you on that. I think my question is
more of like the timing. You know, why did it
take them when two days after Yeah, I mean I
wonder if they had spoken to some potential candidates or
had just gotten win that. I mean, look, man, I'd
love to interview there, but I'm not going to even
entertain that if Tom Tellusco's there.
Speaker 4 (28:30):
And maybe that's because they got someone else in mind.
Speaker 3 (28:32):
Maybe that's because they feel like Telesco ultimately would be
a part of the hiring process, so they'd feel like
they would be underneath Tom Teluska. I mean, these are
always power struggles at this time of the year and
how they go about hiring who first. So I do wonder,
with the timing of it being so odd, why why
(28:53):
won't you just clean house with everyone?
Speaker 6 (28:57):
I mean, who know, you don't? I mean, I know
Belichick is saying that, you know, he wants to stay
at North Carolina, and there's reports that you know, he's
got no interest in leaving. But you know, it does
open the door for Belichick to be able to bring
whoever he wants in. You know, Tom Brady has spoken
to him, so you know, maybe maybe that gets done.
Maybe Belichick to the Raiders becomes more of a possibility
(29:19):
if if Tom Fellest goes out along with Antonio Peers.
Speaker 2 (29:23):
You know, I don't really know the reasoning behind the
staggered you know, decision making. I'm with you there, Q
on why why not just you know, clean sweep it
and just say everybody's gone. But there's, you know, for me,
the idea of it. Maybe there's something legally speaking that
(29:43):
you know, don't I don't know if there's some type
of backstory. I just know there's some reason why they
did it the way that they did it. And again,
I think that the conversation points were very valid in
terms of what we were discussing about these first year
head coaches and how I mean, you got to be honest.
(30:07):
In some of these cases, they were let down by
the lack of personnel that was on their teams, and
so how do you hold a coach unless you are
using that coach as a placeholder? How do you hold
a coach accountable for the lack of success when the
(30:28):
GM did not team up with him and provide him
with the type of players that would lend to them
having a competitive season. So I almost felt as though,
if that's the direction you're going in getting rid of
a new coach after one season, with the circumstances they
(30:48):
were facing, then it makes sense to have to get
rid of the decision maker at the GM position. And
so some of these guys aren't as bulletproof as they
thought they were.
Speaker 6 (31:01):
I mean, shouldn't they have at least gotten another year?
Speaker 2 (31:04):
Both of them?
Speaker 6 (31:05):
Telesco just got there. It's like a one and done GM.
I don't know, man, just everything feels like it's quick
unless they've got a better plan in place. I don't
know that I agree with the move, Like you're just
going to turn and burn him after a year, Like, I.
Speaker 3 (31:20):
Mean, it made more sense for Pierce to stay than
Telesco for based on this past year. I mean, what
did you give Antonio Pierce to work with? Like, ultimately,
he's not the one that's responsible for their roster, the
roster construction. That's Telesco. And you dropped the ball to
start the season with the way you went about the
(31:42):
quarterback position. I just keep going back to that, and
you got fooled in the draft. You didn't find anything.
I and the veteran market free agencies. There you are,
this is where you found yourself. I just I look
at that and go that was Telesco's fumble and he
knows that division. Well, here's what the charges forever I
(32:04):
sit there and still looking to go, how does that happen?
I'm surprised that tell Usca wasn't like go first, and
then they consumplated more with Antonio Pears.
Speaker 4 (32:11):
In some of the fight that team showed.
Speaker 6 (32:14):
How good of a job is the Raiders job. Like,
I know the market and the vibe and everyone feels good.
But I just wonder if a deterrent is, dude, you
have no solution at quarterback and you're in that division, Like,
what's like, how do you win there in the next
decade if you don't have a quarterback? And I just
I wonder, like where, like how appealing is that job
(32:39):
in comparison to other places around the league?
Speaker 2 (32:41):
Depends on the infrastructure. Yeah, well, yeah, that's fun. I
mean it does depend on if you like the gam
I think it's infrastructural things that need to take place
with with the Las Vegas Raiders, I think that it
has to be a built from scratch approach. So it
(33:02):
is going to take some time. No matter who it
is that you hire, it's going to take some time.
The question now becomes, do the people that get hired
have the amount of time to be able to truly
put together an infrastructure and a foundation where you can
(33:24):
have a chance to be successful in one of the
tougher conferences to be you know, divisions to be successful in.
Speaker 6 (33:34):
Yeah, so I mean, who knows, Maybe what is happening
in the background right now is doing something. Yeah, people
coming and going lead left.
Speaker 2 (33:42):
Now now that it's not considered to be any type
of events, going on, whether it be the builders little
meeting they had yesterday structure yeah, or the you know
be the college football playoff, you know, media stuff set up.
They seem to be looking at it though it's their
space again, and so the fact that we're not under
(34:04):
the protective cover of everything that's going on with these events,
they're basically walking by looking at us like, yeah, you
got two days, but you don't get today.
Speaker 6 (34:14):
Yeah. I'm guessing based on the setup and the fact
there's no table and we had to like move furniture
and put our one. They weren't expecting us.
Speaker 2 (34:23):
This furniture is definitely made for you not to be
able to just walk off with it, you know what
I mean. And Lee's back is somewhere, you know, spread
out on the floor because of how heavy these pieces
of furniture are.
Speaker 6 (34:37):
You sure we were supposed to be here today. It
doesn't seem like we're supposed to be here.
Speaker 2 (34:42):
Well, that's why I called Lee this morning, is like
I thought we were going to do it from and
which would have been uncomfortable by the way, but I
thought we were going to do it from a room.
Speaker 5 (34:51):
That was kind of what they told us to figure
figure it out on today, so I made sure that
the wires were anected.
Speaker 2 (34:58):
Oh yeah, figure it out today.
Speaker 3 (34:59):
So that's I got a lot of mixed messages. Then
my understanding was we were going to be set up
there because I almost didn't fly out last night just
because I wanted to be with you guys after it,
and I felt bad.
Speaker 2 (35:11):
I was so glad you weren't going to be here.
I was. I was you were going to be off
the show. I was like, he's off, no.
Speaker 3 (35:20):
Stop, no offense. I'm not like you. I'm not going
to go ahead rub in your face. I was a
hard fought game. I had a lot of respect for
Penn State exactly, like all of it. And I'll say
that Penn State fans, most of you were respectful, most
of you, and the other year of you just little bitches.
Speaker 2 (35:42):
So what.
Speaker 4 (35:45):
Happened, No, just some kids like talking trash.
Speaker 3 (35:48):
I'm like, first off, bro, we whooped all's ass the
one time I played. Second y'all just got beat again.
So go home to Sad Valley, go cry about it.
We'll see all next year. All right, that's not to
do var. That's the little jazz fans.
Speaker 5 (36:07):
To the victors.
Speaker 2 (36:09):
Go the spoils. I mean, what am I supposed to say?
I mean, when we could have represented ourselves, you know
what I mean, Like we didn't do it.
Speaker 3 (36:18):
But I was, like I said, about eighty percent of
the Penn State fans were cool and they're respectful, and
I think there was like a shared appreciation for the game,
you know what I'm saying, like what everyone's saw. And
then there's a couple of drunken ones that were just
really upset about the result, like I had anything to
do with it, like not this time, pal, trust me,
I wish, I wish.
Speaker 4 (36:37):
And also on that note, you know it's gonna fly
under the radar.
Speaker 2 (36:41):
What's that?
Speaker 3 (36:42):
What about Steve Angelly who just goes in on the
spot bing bing bing bing right before half for like
a backup that was.
Speaker 2 (36:52):
It did go under he was doing better than the
than the starter.
Speaker 3 (36:55):
Then then Riley, well he's a better passer, Like let's
just be real, Briley, he was runner, but Angelic could
sling it. But what happened the other half?
Speaker 4 (37:03):
They get a.
Speaker 3 (37:04):
Field goal difference in the game's three points like that.
That drive will not be talked about enough. But as
a quarterback, a guy who started the guy's backed up.
That's flipping hard.
Speaker 2 (37:16):
Man, bro. And that's why I said earlier, put the
foot on the neck and stomp them out. That was
the stomp out moment. Like when they knocked him out
of the game and the lineman went down. I was like, yeah,
they're wearing down. We're wearing Notre dame. Now exactly what
I said was going to happen is happening. They're starting
to drop. We didn't get to the quarterback. We'd have
(37:39):
made him feel that pain. They had to pull him out.
It's like here, it is right here. We're gonna bust
this thing wide open. And we allowed a young boy
to come in. And you're right, it wasn't. It wasn't
really focused in on and talked about. At least we
haven't highlighted it until just now. But he came in
and I thought he did an exceptional job. I thought
(37:59):
he was doing better then the starter I really did.
Speaker 3 (38:02):
I think he distributes the ball well, he's accurate, he
does all those things. I mean, if nothing else, Like
you know, you've got another guy, you know behind Rther
that's like ready to step in and step up like
that was you know last year he did it in
the in the bowl game. You know, you look at
what he's able to do, you know, in spot.
Speaker 4 (38:21):
Work this year. Credit to him, man.
Speaker 3 (38:23):
Like like people are going to talk about the Jeremiah
Love run, which was absolutely ridiculous, the effort to get
in the end zone in the fourth quarter of that score,
we're half a leg Oh my goodness, man, But that drive, Like,
not enough people are going to talk about the fact
that like that ended up weighing in a big way,
a huge way. At the end of the game. It
(38:45):
mattered in a big way.
Speaker 6 (38:47):
Yeah, that came out and then tied it the start
the second half, and it was a whole new ball game.
Speaker 2 (38:51):
That.
Speaker 6 (38:51):
Man, that second half was wild.
Speaker 2 (38:53):
I did.
Speaker 6 (38:53):
I thought the same thing. I thought Penn State was
going to start walking away with it in the first half,
just the way they were controlling it. We did see
you met Brady. You mentioned the Penn State fans. We
did see the Penn State fans entering the hotel after
the game was over, and they were not pleased. Very sad, respectful,
but very sad.
Speaker 3 (39:12):
I will say this, if there's one thing that I
would be critical to James Franklin about is why the hell,
did you have two guys back instead of trying to
an all out rush Versus noted him with that final
field goal? Like, what's the point I got to hear
an explanation for that, because I'm not saying they got
close to blocking it, but you're not stressing the fueld
(39:34):
goal protection if you don't put eleven bodies up a
lot of scrimmage.
Speaker 4 (39:40):
I did not know what that was going on.
Speaker 6 (39:43):
Yeah, it's unfortunate, but you know what great game, fun
game and stories and memories.
Speaker 2 (39:49):
For a lifetime.
Speaker 3 (39:50):
Do you guys know how happy Jonas is going to
be come January twenty second when he doesn't have to
talk about college football anymore?
Speaker 6 (39:57):
What are you talking about?
Speaker 3 (39:58):
I'm just saying, tell not not not a college guy?
Speaker 4 (40:03):
Is that fair?
Speaker 2 (40:03):
At Var? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (40:05):
Did you see him last night?
Speaker 8 (40:06):
Var?
Speaker 2 (40:06):
No? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (40:08):
I mean that's because him and there were credentials. They're
just walking around.
Speaker 2 (40:11):
Look did he see us? I mean I got make
the face to look at you like, did we see
the bar?
Speaker 6 (40:17):
It's my old No, Like the first time you have.
Speaker 3 (40:22):
These red credentials, which I don't know how the hell
you guys got down to field level like that.
Speaker 4 (40:27):
Those credentials.
Speaker 6 (40:28):
Shouldn't have allowed you down there, credential man, because I'm here.
Speaker 2 (40:31):
Yeah, they just see my swag.
Speaker 6 (40:34):
And I didn't know that Lee was supposed to guys credentialed.
Speaker 2 (40:38):
I guess I was.
Speaker 3 (40:40):
I called Lee multiple times and I specifically told him,
I go, Lee, I have a separate credential for the media,
the one that is what I need for you. I said,
I've got a supper one through Orange Bowl, which I
already got, which had nothing to do with what you.
Speaker 5 (40:53):
Submitted for right, you did, but you kept on asking
me for the one that I have, and I was like, Okay.
Speaker 2 (40:59):
I got you, but you get.
Speaker 5 (41:04):
I told you if you had answered my call, I said,
I got it ready for you from from Mike and Carroll.
They have it ready for you. If you just go
to the office, they have it for you.
Speaker 3 (41:14):
Lee, I wasn't staying at the media hotel. How the
hell was gonna go to the office.
Speaker 5 (41:18):
It wasn't at the media hotel. They said, it's going
to be at the stadium, at the Media Center. That's
where we printed out at what Hey, man, I don't
run the office, but you asked after the deadline, and
I said, okay, let me call my people, and I did,
And that's not true.
Speaker 3 (41:37):
I didn't ask after the deadline. I asked close to
the deadline.
Speaker 2 (41:40):
There may have.
Speaker 3 (41:41):
Been there may have been some slow reaction time on
your part.
Speaker 2 (41:46):
Lee.
Speaker 6 (41:46):
Is that accurate?
Speaker 5 (41:47):
No?
Speaker 2 (41:49):
Okay?
Speaker 6 (41:50):
Lee?
Speaker 3 (41:50):
Hold on, Lee, what was the deadline for the media.
Speaker 5 (41:52):
Because Monday last week? You called on Friday.
Speaker 3 (41:56):
Friday and asked for it and you said Monday was
like Wednesday or no? And you said it was like
Monday this.
Speaker 5 (42:02):
Week, Monday last week, no, yeah, Monday this week correct?
Speaker 3 (42:07):
Yeah, and you and you said they have not gotten
back to me. I was like, can you keep getting
back to be like, yeah, buddy, hey.
Speaker 5 (42:16):
Man, you asked, you asked for it, and I did it.
You didn't need it. I know you didn't need it,
So why didn't.
Speaker 6 (42:25):
Why didn't you just give him the credential? Why did
they didn't?
Speaker 5 (42:28):
They didn't have it because it was past the deadline.
But they said, if you just go to the office,
you will have it for you there which office we
went to the We didn't need to go to the
office because Brady was because you're already in the we
picked we.
Speaker 6 (42:40):
Picked ours up from.
Speaker 5 (42:41):
The hotel because we got it before the deadline.
Speaker 2 (42:46):
Which made sure that he put in.
Speaker 3 (42:48):
Yeah. But you guys, here's what I understand is, why
is your default not always trying to get credentials for.
Speaker 2 (42:57):
Everyone because Jonas is what's important to Lee. I'm pulled on, Brady,
why do you, like, why do you act like it's
it's breaking news to you. You've been around this show
way longer than I have. I picked this up way
way before. Now, like, are like, do you really not
(43:18):
act like.
Speaker 3 (43:20):
This is This is a different scenario though, than what
you're talking about.
Speaker 4 (43:24):
I'm not gonna argue.
Speaker 5 (43:26):
My priority is always sideline reporter. So I get the
sideline reporters credentialed, I get them good to go, and
then at the last thing, because this is our game, this.
Speaker 2 (43:34):
Is the the truth side report, literally the lap tell
the truth. Your top priority at every turn and at
every situation is to make sure Jonas is okay.
Speaker 5 (43:47):
Right, No, it's just where the bar's at. That's my priority.
Speaker 2 (43:52):
That's your payoff, he supports.
Speaker 3 (43:55):
All I'm asking is, from now on with, here's four
of us. Just asked for a credential for each one
of us.
Speaker 5 (44:03):
Understood, right, Why would why would you always do that
it's always better enough more than less.
Speaker 3 (44:09):
Like right now, you don't have as many clothes as
you should have, so you probably stink, which is why
you're carrying around a stick of deodorant. M.
Speaker 5 (44:19):
I'm sorry, do you not have a stick of deodorant? M?
Speaker 3 (44:21):
I don't carry one around with me because I've been
wearing the same clothes for three days because my cut
all my tops and the crop tops.
Speaker 6 (44:30):
My old spice.
Speaker 5 (44:34):
What do you want me to put there? A bag
of chips?
Speaker 2 (44:37):
Use what I have?
Speaker 6 (44:38):
You needed anything? The door's not locked.
Speaker 5 (44:40):
The door is locked. You can't mean you can't open
it from the outside.
Speaker 2 (44:43):
It's muss hair radio, bad news beer, oh man, Well listen.

We're doing intervention before you segue into whatever, can you
admit that you legitimately got mad yesterday during the show at.
Speaker 6 (47:32):
Me and then yeah, yes I did.
Speaker 4 (47:35):
Like that was an awkward moment. It was an awkward moment.
Speaker 6 (47:41):
Rightly, so was my phone.
Speaker 3 (47:42):
It was so dude, Yeah, it was pist that's LeVar Man.
Next play, you know, finish, I can put my headphones.
Speaker 6 (47:49):
Oh wait, well LaVar took his headphones because you want
to hear the music. Hey, we didn't do the imaging, don't.
Speaker 2 (47:55):
I don't want to hear any of what I were
just doing.
Speaker 3 (47:57):
Well, we're talking about how Jonas got legitimately upset. Yeah,
I got pissed over the debacle with over under slash
picks against the spread, and I was just trying to
get us to move on, you know, adapt to just
we gotta make it audible, you know. And Jonas was
not getting over. He was mad. He was legitimately mad.
Lee yesterday, I got to.
Speaker 6 (48:17):
Wear the pain for at least like three minutes and
then I'm over.
Speaker 2 (48:21):
And then he's over.
Speaker 3 (48:22):
It is that, okay? But can Ween dig into a
little bit deeper? Is that because you gave a fantastic
tease and then you couldn't pay off that tease.
Speaker 6 (48:29):
No, It's more that I was under the impression that
we were on the same page and we were not.
We were in miscommunications.
Speaker 3 (48:35):
Okay, But is anyone ever on the same page as Lee.
Speaker 6 (48:41):
Well, like, that's why you know. It brings me to
this question, Lee, I don't know if those are yours?
What are the coat hangers doing on the ground.
Speaker 5 (48:48):
I was in a rush and I had no desire
to hang up my clothes and make it all fit.
Speaker 2 (48:54):
I mean, when I got that many pairs of clothes.
Speaker 5 (48:57):
Four shirts, yeah, for four dress shirts. And when I'm
when I'm packing to leave.
Speaker 6 (49:02):
There's hangers in the in the room.
Speaker 5 (49:04):
Yeah, those are big heavy hangers. These are flexible, thin
hangers that you pack. You can't pack. Those are the
ones in the room.
Speaker 2 (49:11):
Are like, well, why do you have them laid out
on the ground?
Speaker 5 (49:14):
Like I was in a rush, But when I leave,
when I packed to leave, I don't pack as nicely
as when I packed to go to a place, Like
when I leave the hotel, I just kind of throw everything,
all the dirty clothes and it's all just clumby.
Speaker 3 (49:27):
You didn't pack anything this time because your clothes were
all cut into crop tops.
Speaker 5 (49:31):
I have one, two, three, four shirts remaining.
Speaker 4 (49:35):
Then why have I only seen you in two of
those shirts the undershop?
Speaker 2 (49:39):
I've only seen him in one, So you're ahead of me.
I saw you three four nicer.
Speaker 3 (49:46):
And then you said you were the same thing today
as you were yesterday.
Speaker 5 (49:50):
Oh, he clearly I had gray, black and white.
Speaker 2 (49:53):
He clearly. I did not take off it. He may
possibly have taken off it shoes, but everything else was on.
Speaker 6 (50:02):
He's got them, sweet Jordan's I was wearing the white.
Speaker 5 (50:04):
I was wearing my white dress shirt at the game.
This is my gray shirt that was that's wearing the
day before. I was wearing to the day below, to
lunch yesterday.
Speaker 2 (50:14):
Day before.
Speaker 5 (50:15):
I worked for like an hour yesterday, and now I
put it back on, So yes, I did, so. I
have worn it twice, all right.
Speaker 2 (50:21):
I had my black shirt for for how many days?
Speaker 5 (50:25):
Two and I've worn three or four dress.
Speaker 3 (50:28):
Shirts I wear. This is going on day three, Lee.
Speaker 5 (50:32):
Yes, this is going on day three. But we've been
here for forty eight.
Speaker 2 (50:37):
And you wren that shirt twice in less than forty
eight hours, on two different occasions.
Speaker 5 (50:42):
Yes, I wore to lunch yesterday and I'm wearing it
right now.
Speaker 6 (50:45):
Your girlfriend cut up all your clothes.
Speaker 3 (50:51):
Everybody already said it, by the way, said the source.
Speaker 2 (50:59):
You ned. We've never said the source Where Jonas does wear.
Speaker 3 (51:03):
The same thing. It's just black with like a white
shirt and.
Speaker 2 (51:06):
Then shirt whenever. I wearing that today.
Speaker 5 (51:09):
Whatever you don't even see Jonas and you nailed it.
Speaker 6 (51:12):
Whatever I wore on the plane coming here, I'm wearing
on the plane out of here. Yes, in and out?
Speaker 3 (51:18):
Are you want that stupid hat again?
Speaker 2 (51:20):
Yes?
Speaker 6 (51:21):
Yeah, I got a hat.
Speaker 5 (51:22):
Like it's a nice hat.
Speaker 3 (51:25):
I won't say, I'll be honest with you. When I
ate dinner with him and he kept his hat on,
I was like, it's kind of a d bag move, like,
have some respect.
Speaker 4 (51:32):
Take the hat off.
Speaker 2 (51:33):
You know who cares.
Speaker 3 (51:34):
It's just it's a it's a manners thing, dude.
Speaker 6 (51:38):
Well, hey, listen, you know not everybody's got manners. I
don't have to tell you different strokes for different folks.
Speaker 3 (51:44):
As they say, apparently not everyone has like an extra
T shirt because none of you dudes want to put
on just a normal T shirt, Like bring more to two?
Speaker 6 (51:52):
You know what's wrong with the V neck.
Speaker 3 (51:54):
Nothing's wrong with the V neck, but you need to
have more than one.
Speaker 6 (51:57):
I got more than one, brought three.
Speaker 3 (52:00):
That's even wear of the same white V neck.
Speaker 6 (52:02):
No, not the same one, the same brand, But I
just you know, blow through it. Travel easy man, travel light.
You don't travel a lot. So if you need tips
on how to pack and like get ready for trips,
just let me know. I can hook you up. I'll
put you up on game.
Speaker 2 (52:16):
God, can you go and do that? Huh?
Speaker 3 (52:18):
I know? Then it takes as shots go tease something
and you can all butt hurt when it doesn't happen any.
Speaker 2 (52:25):
Man, So weird.
Speaker 3 (52:29):
Why did you get so mad about it?
Speaker 6 (52:31):
Because we weren't on the same page at.
Speaker 3 (52:34):
Least, like a puppy dog. Like you look at Lee
when he gets like when he's in trouble, and it's
hard to get really mad atle He gives you this
look and you're like, oh, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, man,
I don't get.
Speaker 4 (52:45):
Mad at you Lee.
Speaker 3 (52:46):
Like he's just like pouty puppy dog face.
Speaker 2 (52:50):
Damn.
Speaker 4 (52:50):
He's got a couple of like fleas flying around him.
Speaker 3 (52:52):
And you're like, I feel bad.
Speaker 4 (52:54):
You know, big ten, big pen.
Speaker 5 (52:59):
Just so and his hair is like thick.
Speaker 4 (53:02):
It's course like a like somethtember.
Speaker 2 (53:04):
Damn.
Speaker 3 (53:05):
You know, I don't know what it was like doodles,
let's mixture like hyperlogenic dogs.
Speaker 6 (53:09):
Are you doing a bloody Mary? At the airport before
you leave.
Speaker 5 (53:12):
I don't think we have time.
Speaker 6 (53:14):
What kind of what do you mean like flight boards
a ten out to ten oh five?
Speaker 2 (53:18):
Oh wow, it shows.
Speaker 3 (53:20):
It you guys. Are you guys are right next to
the airport.
Speaker 2 (53:23):
True? Yeah, but I think they get in. You're not
checking a bag, are you?
Speaker 6 (53:28):
No?
Speaker 2 (53:30):
Ten out ten ten o'clock flight.
Speaker 6 (53:32):
Ten o five boarding.
Speaker 5 (53:33):
I still have some mini five boarding.
Speaker 3 (53:35):
Yeah, they're fine.
Speaker 5 (53:36):
I still have some minies that I need to give.
Speaker 6 (53:38):
Actually, can we see the minis? Well, yeah, she can because.
Speaker 5 (53:41):
I only have one zip lock left and it only
fits about four or five. So I didn't drink my minis.
Speaker 6 (53:47):
So let's see. Can you, like, can you announce what
the brand of each one that you pulled out of?
Speaker 5 (53:52):
He all right, I just pulled out Evan Williams. Here's
a camera. Yeah, it looks like Jack Daniels. That's a
great thing about Evian Williams. Arena. That's a that's a
metal one. You gotta be careful with that. And then
we got a couple of secrums here. I think I
got I think I got a drink or one or
two of these before.
Speaker 3 (54:12):
You see that mini bottles metal. Let's say aluminum.
Speaker 5 (54:14):
Yeah, one of them's one of them's glass. One of
them's glass. The rest of them are plastic.
Speaker 2 (54:21):
Lee. That's like way more than what we had originally discussed.
Speaker 5 (54:25):
You brought, that's true, you brought ten.
Speaker 6 (54:27):
You've got four loves?
Speaker 2 (54:28):
Did you purchase those while you were here?
Speaker 5 (54:30):
I have six left?
Speaker 2 (54:31):
So? And why were they free from the bag? Why
were they not in the ziplock baggy? What was happening?
Speaker 5 (54:36):
Because I lay them out and making it a really
nice little mini mini bar situation in my room layout.
Speaker 2 (54:43):
Ready to go, lay.
Speaker 3 (54:45):
Out the clothes, lay out your mini bottles.
Speaker 5 (54:47):
I do, huh, just like I lay out my toilet trees,
my mini bottles in my clothes, making makee That's a
little treat myself.
Speaker 3 (55:00):
We're focusing a lot on leave var. What did you
do last night? Did you go out again? I went
to a cigar lounge. The cigar lounge and uh in
the in the casino, so okay, I took it light.
Everybody was asking me what happened, and you know, other
people were consulting me and stuff like that, which I
(55:21):
thought was really cool. I didn't I didn't really experience
any real negativity. So that was that was good, but
that was congratulating me, and I was like, I didn't
do anything, but I was like, I'm excited about it.
Speaker 4 (55:35):
It's awesome, you know.
Speaker 2 (55:36):
Good for u Q.
Speaker 3 (55:39):
I didn't do anything.
Speaker 2 (55:40):
Yeah, good, good.
Speaker 3 (55:41):
Job, but paid some kids. But yeah, Hey, on another note, damn,
I just I just hoped you washed your hands since
the last time I saw you.
Speaker 2 (55:51):
That's all I did. I did wash my hands.
Speaker 3 (55:55):
Thoroughly washed. Your hands were very dirty, dirty, old man.
Speaker 2 (55:59):
Very dirty, super dirty, filthy.
Speaker 6 (56:07):
You mentioned the touchdown run for Jeremiah Love, which was
awesome last night, fighting through the pain, dealing with the
issues wearing the big knee race. His head coach, Marcus Freeman,
spoke afterwards about Love battling through the injuries and his
performance last night.
Speaker 8 (56:22):
In the second half, he made some Jeremiah Love plays
and you know when it speaks volumes to the heart
he has. He gave everything he had to this place.
He did not have to play today, and you know
nobody would have beat it an I, but he put
the team in front of himself and how he felt.
And we got a whole bunch of guys like that
in that locker room. And that's why we're in this position.
Speaker 6 (56:45):
It was pretty obvious him and Abdul Carter were not
close to one hundred percent, like they showed, Abdul Carter
kind of favoring his arm at one point he was.
Speaker 2 (56:55):
But there's no way you recover from that type of injury.
A spraying is sprain, you know what I mean, Like,
no matter how you rehabit, no matter what you do.
That's why that stuff that Patrick Mahomes did, I don't
know how. I still don't know how he did it,
you know, with his ankle. But you do that with
your shoulder, and it's it's going to be very difficult
(57:19):
for you to be able to do the things that
you do best as a pass rusher. You can't really
take on blockers very well. You can't really shed blocks
really well because of the way you have to, you know, move,
and the shoulder has so much to do with the
success that you're able to have in slipping and escaping
(57:39):
blockers and you know, getting yourself through to the quarterback.
And I mean, he he played away. I mean, he
proved why he's I think he's the best. I think
he's the best prospect in this year's draft. I think
he's the best prospect in the draft, and I think
he showed a level of he showed a level of
(58:01):
intensity and resolve that you you don't you just don't.
Speaker 3 (58:08):
So really put him over Travis Hunter.
Speaker 2 (58:11):
Yeah, I would, Wow, I would, uh. And the reason
why I would is because I can say I would
be able to project out what I believe Abdul Carter
will do more so than what I would project out
and be confident in what what Travis Hunter is going
(58:33):
to do. I don't know that Travis Hunter can be
an elite receiver and in the league. I think he
can be a really good corner. I think he can
be a really good cornerback in the league. But how
good can he be as a cornerback in the league?
I don't know. I don't know, I do I'm not
he's gonna but we're saying, we're saying legit one hundred.
(58:57):
Think he can be a legit corner and I think
he rejects out better as a corner. But I'm just
saying for sure, shot like no miss and what it
is you're going to get. I think, out of anybody
going in the draft, I think Abdual Carter is that
person he's I mean, hands down to.
Speaker 3 (59:14):
Me if you're if you're looking for an edge rusher, like,
he's the guy. I mean, he obviously is the best one,
the young man out of Texas and m Nick Skeleton
I believe how you pronounced it. He was at Perdue
before that. He's gonna be interesting to see how he's evaluated.
You know. James Pearce is gonna be in there. Two,
he's an edge rusher. Michel Williams out of Georgia. Like
(59:35):
those guys are you know, in that group. But but
Abdul is definitely the best. Which it's gonna be, you know,
depending on Tennessee and what they feel like they need,
you know, if that's how you feel, I mean, they
shouldn't trade out of the spot unless they get a
king's ransom for that to for somebody to move up
to take a quarterback, right, yeah, I mean you take
him Dual.
Speaker 2 (59:55):
Carter and you move on. He could end up going
one man. Yeah, he could end up going one.
Speaker 6 (01:00:00):
He made it official a few moments ago. Adam Schefter,
I guess Drew Rosenhaus told Drew Rosnews is representing Abdull Carter,
and then they did make it official. He's declaring for
the draft. They expect him to be one of the
top picks, and so you know, now now it does
open up number eleven next year.
Speaker 2 (01:00:18):
No, it really doesn't mean what do you mean that's
not open?
Speaker 6 (01:00:21):
I mean it's a closed deal. We got it. I
don't know man Man's getting eleven.
Speaker 2 (01:00:25):
I mean, it would all would be incorrect and out
of balance if LeVar Arrington didn't wear eleven at Penn State.
That's all I'll say. But he has been number thirty
since he's been there in his short amount of time.
But yeah, I don't know that it comes available. That's
that's you know, there's a lineage and he's the next
(01:00:46):
one in line. So there you go.
Speaker 6 (01:00:49):
I mean, maybe you can end up in You think
you think Abdul Carter will be there at six for
the Raiders, end up in Vegas at number six, you
think he's gone by then? Yeah, all right, I mean
the Patriots at four could be a spot.
Speaker 2 (01:01:02):
If you if you're not picking in the top three,
top three, he'll be gone, top three, he'll be gone.
In the top three.
Speaker 6 (01:01:10):
So Titans, Browns, Giants, Yeah, Titans are going quarterback. Browns
are going quarterback. Giants need a.
Speaker 2 (01:01:17):
Quarterback, then they somebody's going trade out or they're going
to take him top three calling he's going to be
a top three pick.
Speaker 6 (01:01:31):
Now the look aheadline, Braden, have you seen this now?
First of all, we like Ohio State in this matchup
against Texasgo yes, all right, So all right, what would
you guess on DraftKings right now? Is the look aheadline
for a Ohio State Notre Dame game? If you had
(01:01:51):
to guess points spread wise.
Speaker 3 (01:01:54):
I think Ohio State will be favored by eight and.
Speaker 2 (01:01:58):
A half.
Speaker 6 (01:02:00):
Ding ding ding on the money Ohio State look ahead
line and eight and a half point favorite over noted. Really,
if Texas wins the game, what do you think the
line is?
Speaker 3 (01:02:10):
The line would be Texas by five.
Speaker 6 (01:02:14):
And a half Texas minus two and a half way
look ahead line against Notre Dame on DraftKings one rspe.
Speaker 4 (01:02:24):
No, it's not that.
Speaker 3 (01:02:25):
I mean, here's what I'll say about And by the way,
that would have been the case whether it was Penn
State Notre Dame. If you look at let's just look
at like pull pull back a step. Texas and Ohio
State have two of the most impressive rosters like when
you have seen them both in person up close, I
would say, like, talent wise, you'd say, if they played
(01:02:46):
the capabilities, those two teams.
Speaker 4 (01:02:48):
Are the most talented.
Speaker 3 (01:02:50):
And the other thing I'd say they have as an
advantage is, you know, the two most unproven quarterbacks we
saw play last night was Rothery Leonard and Drew Aller.
You know, you played in these games. It's been in
big moments. He won the Big Twelve last year, He's
you know, played in the college football playoffs before. Well,
Howard's played a ton of football. He's played big games
this year. You know, you look at the Oregon game
(01:03:11):
earlier and like I just you kind of go through
it and the kind of looking at it and go all right,
like this is this is a matchup where you've got,
depending on who wins, really really talented rosters with way
more experienced quarterbacks in this spot. So I understand that,
you know, then be favored and all that. At the
end of the day, it's you know, it doesn't matter.
That's why we play the games. Like so many times
(01:03:33):
I think people have counted Notre Dame out and the
reality is it's like that's why we play the game
because You never know until you play the actual game
and how the results are going to turn on When
someone gets punched in the mouth, that's that's how it works.
Speaker 2 (01:03:48):
You guys didn't punch us in the mouth.
Speaker 3 (01:03:50):
But you want however you want.
Speaker 4 (01:03:54):
But at the end of the day, I'm saying, yeah, yeah, want.
Speaker 6 (01:03:58):
They punched in the mouth. LeVar did notice something a
moment ago. Lee Lee mysteriously walked away.
Speaker 2 (01:04:05):
But he was shaking it. He was shaking it as
we walked away.
Speaker 6 (01:04:10):
While your eyes watering. What happened?
Speaker 5 (01:04:17):
What did you do?
Speaker 6 (01:04:18):
Just got up and left.
Speaker 5 (01:04:19):
We need you you find I made sure you guys
were good to go, and I didn't want to crop
dust you guys. I went over to the conference room
next door.
Speaker 6 (01:04:32):
That's just uh.
Speaker 2 (01:04:35):
He did not go over to the conference He let
one go right there, then he let another one go
over there, and then did it again over towards the coffin.
Speaker 5 (01:04:44):
And to walk him out, walk the dog, I'm not sure.
Speaker 2 (01:04:48):
Do you shake your leg like that? Yeah, you're not
a dog, so revolting? Like what do you want me
to do it? Right here?
Speaker 6 (01:05:00):
Don't shake your leg, your leg, but you've got you
get sand in your sock and you've got to get
it out. I got it. I'm like, Dawn, oh my god, this.
Speaker 2 (01:05:12):
Is gonna shake the sheets.
Speaker 6 (01:05:15):
Well, look, congratulations and uh and if you are if
you are interested, there's a there's some potential money making
opportunities over on DraftKings for people out there if they
want to.
Speaker 3 (01:05:25):
Not always the case.
Speaker 6 (01:05:26):
Though, yeah, I mean, but you know, with with interest
in this show. But did you see Albert Brier. Albert
Brier's a troll. He sent out a picture saying congratulations
to Marcus Freeman, and it was Marcus Freeman when he
was at Ohio State, Like just just trolling, just can't
let anybody be happy. Just got a bus balls because
all of a sudden he feels confident about Ohio State
(01:05:47):
based on how they played the last couple of weeks.
Speaker 3 (01:05:49):
But as as we've told Albert, no matter what happens
the rest of the way, they din't be Michigan. And
he's gonna have to live with that again for what
the fourth straight time. I mean, that's I mean, that's
that's the reality is. Every time you know, he encounters
someone from Michigan, he's got to get out of the car.
He can't drive anywhere's get in the back seat, all right.
(01:06:11):
If that Michigan fan walks in his house, he has
to go sleep in the guest bedroom, you know, and
he just takes over the I'm just, I'm just. That's
how it is. That's how that Ohiose State Michigan robberie is.
Anyone from Columbus, Ohio, anyone from Ohio, anyone from Michigan.
Speaker 4 (01:06:26):
They know how it is.
Speaker 3 (01:06:27):
You know, when you when you have that run, that streak,
going the other side feels pretty embold and to basically,
you know, be sitting there in their boxers in your
kitchen drinking some orange juice in the morning, if you
know what I mean. You know how about that apples.
Speaker 6 (01:06:41):
