ourselves very nicely last night.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
Boys, I tackled Jonas. I got nothing for y'all. What
do you mean?
Speaker 4 (00:58):
I left it? I left it all on the table
last night. It might be the worst show that I
ever do. So I hope y'all y'all ready to carry
this thing. I left it all in the game. You
know how they say when you when you got on
the game, you gotta leave it all on the field.
Speaker 5 (01:13):
I left it all on the field last night. Yeah,
Patten's stupid. That was That was a damn good time though.
That was a lot of fun we've had.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that Uh I'm sure that looked normal.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
Nobody else was behaving that way, but we were. So
that was fun.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
And it was a uh, very very interesting, interesting day.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
I will say this, Lamar. You were in the same
spot for.
Speaker 4 (01:45):
The entire day, the entire days. But here's what's interesting.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
That's what I do.
Speaker 4 (01:53):
Like yesterday was just the first time y'all paid attention
to it.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
That's that's what I do.
Speaker 4 (01:59):
I sit in the lobby, I'll get food at the bar,
I'll sit in the lobby, and I do work or
our network with people.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
That's what I do.
Speaker 4 (02:07):
Y'all just didn't pay attention to the fact that I
sit in that bitch all day.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
That's what I do. I do.
Speaker 4 (02:15):
I'll take my shoes off and I don't venture out
anywhere I'll be coming. That's I'd be posting it on
social media, like put my feet up on something.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
That's where I'm sitting. That's where ibie.
Speaker 4 (02:28):
Just yesterday just happened to be one of them days
where literally, like the spirit of all of it just
it took it all to a whole nother level. I
have no idea how many drinks I had yesterday I had,
I have the slightest idea I had to say. And
then coming into the day, like we almost watch Lee
(02:50):
just take his own life, Like I don't know what happened.
He told me he like chill out because it's not
what it looked like it was going to be. But
I'm just saying, I feel like nature is going to
eventually take.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
Its course with lead. Yeah, can you explain why you're
so hot?
Speaker 4 (03:06):
And I just don't understand why he would get upset
at me trying to save his life, man, Like it's
the weirdest thing ever, Like he's in total denial.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
He was going to walk across that street.
Speaker 6 (03:17):
I couldn't well listen if I wanted to, but I
realized I had some ducklings and toes.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
I was like, Okay, I'm not going to do it,
but you're talking.
Speaker 4 (03:24):
So in his mind, Brady explain the situation. We're walking
over here, we're walking over here, and Jonas goes, he
calls attention to it, like there's like a lot of
traffic this morning.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
Walking through while we're walking normal.
Speaker 4 (03:41):
More than normal, and they were driving on that street.
They weren't like or they weren't like like going slowly
down the street.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
They were driving. And we get to a certain point
on the walkway where it's.
Speaker 4 (03:54):
Time to go across, and I look and I see
a car coming and I gauged it, like and I
was behind Lee, and I gauged it and was like,
I'm gonna just wait for this car to go by.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
And Lee steps out, like I did not step out.
I turned out. I turned and loved.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
You took a step out as if you were going
to make it across.
Speaker 6 (04:15):
It's a huge intersection, and and I realized you guys
were with me.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
I was like, oh, I, I mean, yeah, there are.
Speaker 4 (04:21):
There are two things that were going through your mind, Lee,
whether you met it or not.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
I know what was going through my mind.
Speaker 4 (04:28):
I don't you thought was gonna you were going to
make it, or two you thought that car was going
to slow down because you were in the crosswalk. Those
were the two things that I believe were going through
Lee's mind. And whichever one it was was incorrect.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
It was Lee was.
Speaker 4 (04:46):
About in my mind, Q you know what I in
my mind what I saw in that moment when Lee
turned to go across that street and thought he was
going to make it was this is why Lee shows
up with banged up scar and all kinds of stuff
messed up. Those are I got to see it real
time while Lee comes around banged up, and in my mind,
(05:10):
I'm like, let me get my phone out because I'm
about to down now one one because we're gonna have
to dial up for ambulance. E mt ems to come
get Lee and peel him up off the ground because
he was about to get rolled many many feet on
on the road because he thought that car was either
going to slow down for him or he was going
to make it across that street.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
And them cars was not slowing down. It was going.
Speaker 4 (05:34):
Fast Lee, And I felt like I saved Lee's life
and he gave me zero credit.
Speaker 3 (05:38):
He told me to chill out.
Speaker 7 (05:40):
Entire life's entire life. It's like a trustful it's a
bad trust fall, like cross his arms and he just
literally falls back and he's expecting someone in the world
to catch him.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
Uh.
Speaker 7 (05:55):
I fought a trash truck on the way in Okay.
You talked about the other day. If someone else gets sick,
you will get sick because the smelling all that.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
Right, Absolutely, a trash truck to me.
Speaker 7 (06:07):
I literally have been queasy because I followed that thing
for about four minutes straight garbage. And when when they
initially pulled out and turned, they got in the back
of the truck.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
Looked at me. He was just like yeah, he like smiled, and.
Speaker 7 (06:26):
I looked at was like and then they stopped every
single spot in front of me. I was I was
walking and it smelled like ass. And then I got
stuck by the three stooges over here. These three its amateur.
I don't know what news station there with, but my god,
(06:46):
they were like taking off shoes. I'm like, this is
not t s A at the airport. You do not
need to take off your belt, You do not need.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
To take off shut but naked to get up in here.
I don't know about that, but they were asking it
like disrobe to get in. Yeah, they started just disrobing
to get in.
Speaker 7 (07:03):
I was like, the shoes off, every everything, and I'm like,
y'all don't need to do that, and they started taking
stuff apart.
Speaker 4 (07:08):
They might have been in the lobby with us yesterday.
Like I just feel like you're you're either on like
your your sense of judgment is lagging right now because
of game fatigue.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
That's all I'm gonna say. Yeah, we are in the
fourth corner here.
Speaker 4 (07:22):
It was game fatigue, and I watched the game fatigue
play out right in front of me, and I just
can't get over it.
Speaker 3 (07:29):
Lee is right. I can't.
Speaker 4 (07:31):
I cannot get over the fact that Lee was about
to get rid by.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
The way, let this one. LeVar walks in.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
He sees the cops sitting there waiting for the doors
to open and everything, and LeVar goes, Hey, how many y'
all people you think are driving right now or under
the influence?
Speaker 3 (07:50):
And everybody, everybody behind the wheel. That's what the police said.
Speaker 4 (07:56):
Yeah, I'm like sitting there in my mind, like if
you think for two seconds somebody is going to react
to you walking across the street and stop, that's why
you get jacked up.
Speaker 3 (08:08):
Who's whose alarm? That's Lee? Lee? Why would your alarm
that's Lee? You know it's just going to It's like
it's it's a snoozer. I guess I just I guess
I didn't. It's ten minutes past when our show starts.
Why would it go off? Now?
Speaker 8 (08:22):
It's a dumb, dumb phone thing where it's snooze, Like
you hit snooze or just keep going.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
It's the user, guys, you would have had phone. This
doesn't happen for you, guys.
Speaker 8 (08:32):
Okay, it goes off something like minutes.
Speaker 4 (08:36):
You hits you doub you hit snooze Lee. That means
it's going to go off like an eighth But but
I don't hit.
Speaker 9 (08:43):
I just like I clicked it when it went off
like ten twenty minutes.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
You do, dub. You don't turn your alarm off.
Speaker 4 (08:48):
It automatically goes into snooze mode.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
For ten minutes before the show always is.
Speaker 4 (08:55):
But it's it's it's it's ten minutes after ten.
Speaker 3 (08:59):
Minute morning, it's ten minute warning. I get it show.
I can show it to you. I don't know.
Speaker 4 (09:05):
Lea is so upset and frustrated with me right now,
but you know what, I don't even care. I just
want to say, I don't even care. I saw the
reason why Lee gets banged the hell up. I saw
it play out in real life, and that is crazy.
Speaker 3 (09:20):
That was crazy to me. Like this is why the.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
Best part is You're like, man, I didn't want to
have to call an ambulance. Who were about this close
to calling an ambulance And I'm thinking like my thought
was Riverside River.
Speaker 4 (09:32):
We just gonna keep on going. We're just gonna keep
on going. You get hit, get rolled up the street, Riverside.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
Who's producing the show? Corpse in the parking lot. It's
in Google. It's a Google docs. We'll be all right.
And Jade, have you ever aproduced a show before? You
were one? Too?
Speaker 4 (09:53):
So Sager and everybody else coming in but with me.
Then you luggage like there's a body in the street. Man,
you might have had to ask to throat stooges over there,
there's people gathering around this guy looks like he got
hit by a car.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
Man. That's Lee. That's Lee, laid out on that right there.
Speaker 7 (10:16):
Lee might have enough alcohol in him where he'll like
bounce off the car.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
You know, damn it like works out.
Speaker 4 (10:22):
I just thought that was interesting. Man, Like, now I
understand why Lee falls off his judgment does not care.
That's my car to safe and sound places.
Speaker 3 (10:35):
He always were like Hawaiian shirt type he does. Man,
I'm wearing my Tommy Bahama silk Baby.
Speaker 10 (10:42):
I'm more of a Travis Matthew guy myself.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
You know, Yeah, that's dope. I got my Travis. Yes,
remember it was.
Speaker 7 (10:51):
It was at a spot that we're doing around there
was right behind the Christmas tree exactly.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
Yeah, so where they was blinded by it. But what
was great, though, is that facetiming are you doing? I
was facetiming and my wife's like, what just happened? I
was like, I got tackled. She goes by, who am
all Brady? She goes why.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
I was like, I don't know, I have no idea.
Speaker 10 (11:11):
It was just that that time of night you were LeVar,
and LeVar was.
Speaker 7 (11:14):
I think he was sitting down so I couldn't, but
I was trying to like sneak up like blind slat
you guys.
Speaker 10 (11:19):
Like there was a point where Brady and I were
sitting at the bar.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
Went for a single leg takedown.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
There was a point where Brady and I are sitting
at the bar and I look over and LeVar is
trying on.
Speaker 3 (11:29):
Some woman's classes. I'm like, why you have your shoes? Really?
Speaker 7 (11:36):
Remember at this I don't remember most of anything from
I just remember coming back and three different people were like, oh,
you're pretty drunk, and I was like, yeah, I was.
Speaker 3 (11:53):
You were pissed at your performance, Yeah you were, you
were down. You're like I left the show down, let
us let.
Speaker 7 (12:01):
Everyone was like, d let everyone down. I'm gonna be
honest too, Like and my wife doesn't listen. She's probably
not even awake right now. So my wife got me
a putter. It's like personalized. It's got like Notre Dame colors,
my initials. I cannot put from my life with that,
and I gotta get something different, Like I've held on
(12:23):
to it forever since she got it for me because
it was like a gift and all that. This thing
stinks and it's like it's like me trying to putt
with a damn anvil. It's a mallet putter. Everything off
the face is hot. It's I don't know how to
describe it.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
It would be.
Speaker 7 (12:39):
Like again, I can't really do it justice. You guys
don't play golf. But I got to figure out a
way to get rid of this thing. Like I was
almost thinking of getting another putter that I actually can
put with that has my initials and the colors.
Speaker 3 (12:51):
I'd be like, no, babe, you got me this one,
Like this is the one different.
Speaker 7 (12:56):
So I was talking to the dudes I was playing
with yesterday about this and they're like, she probably we
wouldn't know the difference, Like, You're right, she probably wouldn't.
Speaker 3 (13:03):
So now I gotta figure this whole thing out.
Speaker 7 (13:04):
How I can personalize this other putter that I'm gonna get,
that I can actually make putts with, that's not this anvil.
Speaker 3 (13:10):
That Liv'm punny with.
Speaker 7 (13:11):
Dang, And then pray to God she doesn't even know
the difference, which I'm pretty sure she wouldn't.
Speaker 10 (13:15):
Yeah, you were really upset last I'm still.
Speaker 4 (13:18):
Upset the way I do remember, I am recalling vaguely
that me and Q started doing linebacker stances one another with.
Speaker 7 (13:26):
In front of Dick Buckets. So we had Matt Buckets
in the house. He was fried out here as too.
We was all fried.
Speaker 4 (13:34):
Man so and we're doing like we're we're imitating Buckets
a linebacker stand.
Speaker 3 (13:39):
Dude, do you remember?
Speaker 2 (13:41):
So Brady and LeVar, everyone's doing linebacker stances.
Speaker 10 (13:45):
Uh, Matt Buckets.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
Dick Bucket's son is there, and Lee says to Brady.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
Brady gets in a linebacker stance and Lee goes, come,
I take your hands off your knees, and Brady goes, hey,
shut the f up.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
High school, it.
Speaker 4 (14:03):
Was so much belligerent way it was so much.
Speaker 7 (14:08):
No disrespectfully, but you were like, yeah, I played high school.
Speaker 3 (14:12):
I was a what you say center linebacker? Is that
what you said?
Speaker 10 (14:15):
I don't know if I said it last night, Yeah
yeah I was.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
I said it. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (14:19):
What killed me was hearing the full story and you're like, yeah,
I never played the best JV and why you stopped
playing football? It was like, hold on, dude, I thought
for a seing we were bonding like you were that
guy that was like the try hard, work hard guy.
Speaker 3 (14:34):
Hey center and wait out he hung it up.
Speaker 7 (14:39):
And then on top of that for what he hung
it up for, which I can't say I'm hearing that
part of the story. I was like, all right, get
out here.
Speaker 3 (14:48):
That was so much fun last night. Man.
Speaker 10 (14:50):
Oh, that really was the two pros takeover if the hotel.
Speaker 4 (14:53):
We did take over that labby. We definitely were the
life of that party.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
Because it was like the TV people were coming. We
were at the same spot, like we got to see
the people behind the scenes, the other radio people.
Speaker 3 (15:05):
There's a security dude.
Speaker 4 (15:06):
He didn't swipe me up like he was like I'm
taking you to go go score somewhere else, like you're gonna.
Speaker 3 (15:13):
Be my wing man. I was like, all right, man,
I LaVar gave me his bags.
Speaker 10 (15:18):
We didn't walked away.
Speaker 4 (15:19):
I didn't walked out that I didn't walked out at
the god dang hotel.
Speaker 3 (15:24):
I'm walking around New Orleans streets all the way.
Speaker 4 (15:27):
Fried like what the hell am I doing? I don't
know where I ended up. We ended up in another spot.
I was like, these people are cringe. I was like,
we gotta go.
Speaker 3 (15:37):
We left.
Speaker 4 (15:39):
Then I end up back at the hotel and I'm
looking around to myself like who are these people? And
I know all of them, but it was so much
liquor system I couldn't I was having the damn this time.
Comprehending everything that was going on. I was like, how
much sleep am I going to need to be able
to function today?
Speaker 3 (15:59):
This is not right.
Speaker 4 (16:00):
There's no reason why I should have consumed as much
as I did yesterday. But I was like, you know what,
I'm gonna take the physical challenge because tomorrow's our last show.
It's the last day. I was like, I'm just gonna
do it, and I think that we'll make it through.
It was a horrible idea. That was not a great conclusion. Man,
It really was not.
Speaker 3 (16:18):
My head is.
Speaker 4 (16:18):
Starting to hurt a little bit. I feel really fatigued.
I'm done complaining. But got so much. It was fun
as hell while you was in it. But Brady brought
up Varsity Blues when they came up out of the
strict Club next morning. I won one hundred percent. I
won hundred percent physically feel like what they look like
(16:39):
when they came up out of that strip.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
And by the way, this may be like undercover of
the funniest moment of the entire trip.
Speaker 10 (16:45):
We're walking in here right after Lee almost skits flat line.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
By a big rig. Okay, so so at least playing
human Frogger. We walk into the convention center and across
from our set, there's this bounty.
Speaker 3 (17:01):
Set up, you know what, the paper towel.
Speaker 2 (17:03):
So the paper towel company has their own like big
set up there and when you walk, so you walk
in front of this green screen and it puts like
different objects over your head and like plays with the
US paper towel. I get paper towel, I walk by.
Speaker 4 (17:20):
Yeah, Lee gets a helmet and I get a freaking
chicken wing. I got a hot on my face. I
was like, you racist as monitor he walks by, like
trying to say, people like chicken the mother effort, that's like.
Speaker 3 (17:37):
And then I walked back in the game chicken wing again.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
So we walked with so as we're walking by, like, oh,
I got like a paper towel, he gets some of
the art looks and he's got a chicken wing.
Speaker 3 (17:47):
For no reason, clearly, and he just says that. He goes,
what the.
Speaker 4 (17:54):
Clearly identified, clearly identified my color, and this is this
is what they'll like put that on them. The algorithm
of black people was in full of that bitch put
a chicken wing.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
On my guys, get locked a load and we've got
one here.
Speaker 4 (18:14):
Fire off that chicken wing that he's definitely going to
use our man, you get one, and it was like
it was like a wet chicken wing.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
It wasn't a dry one.
Speaker 4 (18:23):
It was all it was like a hot It was
a hot wings chicken wing.
Speaker 3 (18:26):
And they don't even know you on it. You like
your chicken wing's name, like draft Yeah.
Speaker 4 (18:30):
Mother lovers. That was so disrespectful. It was disrespectful.
Speaker 10 (18:36):
Man, I'll tell you it's not disrespectful. O'Reilly, O'Reilly.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
Auto parts can help take the guesswork out of your
check engine light with O'Reilly Vera Scan. The service is
free and provide solutions based on over six hundred and
fifty million vehicle scans verified by ASSE certified Master technicians,
available only at O'Reilly Auto Parts. So we are off
and running here. Oh, by the way, I forgot to
mention this to you guys. Very important that we do
(19:02):
this here.
Speaker 3 (19:02):
Now so people are aware. Friday. It is a football Friday. Friday. Yeah,
come on, you got away.
Speaker 4 (19:14):
I got I got awayday. I gotta take away that
take away take away take away you get me take away.
Speaker 11 (19:29):
You're black now, take away took away take away you black?
Speaker 3 (19:34):
Now?
Speaker 12 (19:38):
But all right, come on, all right, come on, let's
do it. Come on, all right, let's get on.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
Brady Sturday. Friday night is Friday.
Speaker 6 (20:00):
A days lasers, It is a Friday.
Speaker 3 (20:07):
Here, Kenny on the two pros and a cup of Joe.
We are gonna have the cannons and then.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
Was uh so we have got the usuals. Another edition
of Incasi mist to coming up later on. We've also
got some prop bets as we get you set for
the big game. One last call as we make our
predictions for Super Bowl Sunday. We're also going to catch
Pete Prisco still stopping by, right Lee?
Speaker 10 (20:30):
Is that still the plan?
Speaker 2 (20:31):
Oh yeah, all right, So we're going to see mister
reds So Pete Prisco later on, and we've got Lee's leftovers.
All of it is yours until nine am Eastern time,
six o'clock Pacific. But it was close, but it was expected.
The big question is was it deserved. We'll answer that
for you in the NFL next year on FSR.
Speaker 1 (20:48):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington, and

Speaker 2 (21:14):
Make our picks against the spread for the final time
this NFL season. We've also got some prop bets we
need to get to. We kept pushing the prop bets
yesterday and we were gonna do it the final segment
instead of Lee's Leftovers.
Speaker 3 (21:28):
And then Mike Pereira.
Speaker 2 (21:29):
Walked by, and if Mike Pereira wants to hop on,
you let Mike Pereira hop on.
Speaker 3 (21:33):
Mikey pe Man the Godfather. He kind of started.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
He started the trend of officials realizing, you know, why
do I want to deal with the grief when I
can just go into TV and explain all the chaos
that's happening.
Speaker 7 (21:48):
I mean, it was great to have him to because
he kind of touched on some topics that have been
a topic of conversation, helped us get a better understanding.
I really would love to understand the technology behind the
whole spotting system, why it's gonna take years to implement it,
or just because we have to put chips in the ball,
(22:08):
which I don't think is that big of a deal.
I would think there'd have to be away. For example,
when you talked about how you go into the NFL
Experience or whatever it was NFL Shop, you bought stuff
for your family. Yeah that it can track it.
Speaker 2 (22:25):
Yeah, it's it's somehow in a closed bag that's not
see through. It knew every single individual and knows where
that stuff's at.
Speaker 7 (22:32):
So we don't have the technology know where the football's
at amongst a pile of men on top of each other,
a dog pile.
Speaker 3 (22:38):
We can't figure that out. Hmm. You know what I'm saying.
I just I don't know.
Speaker 2 (22:42):
I mean, you know, or some assist from booth, somebody
that's got a better camera angle or something over over
the goal line, you know. I just yeah, it feels
like there's there's opportunities there that they're not, for some
reason able to figure out, Like they can figure out
a ton, but they just can't figure out how to
spot the football or know exactly where the football's at
to to try and get a call, right.
Speaker 3 (23:02):
I don't know. I will figure it out at some point. Yeh.
Speaker 10 (23:04):
By the way, I did see that, Uh.
Speaker 3 (23:07):
I mean, look, we we kicked this around.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
Because the the tush push has been a topic of conversation,
and Pereira in another interview did mention that he thinks
that that's going to become a real like based on
what happened in the NFC title game, that he thinks
there's going to be real conversations about it this offseason,
that like.
Speaker 4 (23:28):
He I run a QB keeper like, if you're gonna
if you're gonna review anything, review the idea of being
able to push the player.
Speaker 3 (23:36):
Well, okay, here, here's here's the thing that he and
Dean Blandino.
Speaker 7 (23:40):
Told me this when I was asking about how we
talked about pushing or aiding a runner. He's like, well,
they got rid of it because they they couldn't officiate
it because they couldn't.
Speaker 3 (23:50):
Always see it.
Speaker 4 (23:51):
Yeah, all right, this is blatantly Obvious're blatantly pushing, so
that's easy to see, Like, we all know what's happening
in this in this instance.
Speaker 7 (23:58):
So if that was the justification for why you stopped
calling it and why you inevitably got rid of the rule,
well now we have a play where you can blatantly
see it, just blatantly, So bring that, bring the rule
back and get rid of it. And like some other
people have lobbied for, like bring back the normal quarterback
snake uh.
Speaker 2 (24:17):
Sirianni says that it's successful because they have the players
to do it. I just don't understand why does everyone's successful. Yeah, Well,
and like his point is, well, you know, look around,
not everybody's as successful as we are they're like four or.
Speaker 3 (24:32):
Five percent better whatever it is, but everyone's over seventy.
Speaker 4 (24:35):
I think for some reason, it's that it's the advantage
of the snap count, that that that split second that
they have to get off of the ball and beat
the opponent off of the ball that gives them the
extra added advantage, and that that moment, Like I just
(24:55):
I honestly believe that's why for the short and nature
of what the play consists of a yard less than
the yard whatever, just over a yard, that that little
bit of space, I think that advantage, that advantage is
there based on the snapcount.
Speaker 7 (25:16):
I do love the people who are like, oh, it's
just chilling hurts.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
He squats six hundred pounds. Man squats' his leg power.
Speaker 7 (25:24):
I'm like, bro, if you watch the play, it's called
a tush push for a reason.
Speaker 3 (25:28):
They're pushing his touch. Who's getting it His legs are
not even on the ground out the tide.
Speaker 2 (25:32):
It's clearly not a safe play from a health standpoint,
Like it looks like those center, Yeah, who's getting.
Speaker 3 (25:38):
It the worst? The center center? Yeah?
Speaker 7 (25:40):
Because the one thing about the play I'm always surprised
by is that there's not more fumbles.
Speaker 3 (25:46):
And the reason is.
Speaker 7 (25:47):
Is the center he has to get underneath, right, the
low man wins, so he starts to get underneath the
defensive lineman and then that next wave is what helps
push the quarterback past that first you know, defensive front,
and that's what eventually gives is the push. But usually
when the centers have to do that, they kind of
(26:09):
have to like tilt and they have to get like there.
Speaker 3 (26:12):
It's just weird the way.
Speaker 7 (26:14):
They snapped the football as compared to a normal snap,
and so I'm just I'm always surprised there's not more
you know, fumbles on that particular play with the way
centers have to snap the football, how low they.
Speaker 3 (26:24):
Have to get.
Speaker 4 (26:25):
And for what it's worth, Tom Brady's success rate running
the quarterback keeper all short stuff was super super high
and it wasn't a touch push.
Speaker 3 (26:35):
He just knew how to find.
Speaker 7 (26:37):
Well, the game is you know what they do like
in that system, it was it was never called you
would auto bud line of scrimmage, so you had we
had we had a play called dog dog, so you
literally walk up whatever the play calls.
Speaker 3 (26:52):
If you said dog dog.
Speaker 7 (26:53):
Bluego and like you would fire off and you knew
to go to the open space. So like at any
point in time, like we I remember Charlie one time.
This is back when you're in college. But he had
shown me tape of like them doing it. They had
two wide three techniques, right, so like he got both
d tackles like that are back out over the guards
like outside of it, and the Mike linebacker had pushed
over and Tom had just he dog dog Blugo literally
(27:17):
did a quarterback sea for like five yards because there
was knowing in the box over top of them. And
so they would like teach you that kind of stuff,
but it's almost it's an audible in a way.
Speaker 2 (27:27):

we mentioned him obviously, congratulations he wins Comeback Player of
(27:47):
the Year. The idea that Sam Darnol would have got
it doesn't make any sense to me. What's he coming
back from?
Speaker 3 (27:52):
You know what?
Speaker 2 (27:52):
I mean, Joe Burrow got it, he deserved to get it.
He was fantastic, but he's also calling out the organization
to a certain extent. Joe Burrow was on Fox Sports
one and was just kind of discussing the situation in Cincinnati.
He was on you know or it was on excuse me,
was on first Take, and he was discussing and making
(28:13):
the rounds the situation that was taking place in Cincinnati
with Trey Hendrickson t Higgins.
Speaker 10 (28:18):
We've talked about all this stuff.
Speaker 2 (28:19):
What is Cincinnati going to do when it comes to
these big time free agents or guys that want extensions.
Speaker 10 (28:28):
Here was his response.
Speaker 13 (28:29):
We need Trey back. We need to give him what
he's worth and what he deserves. He's earned that the
cap is going up each year. You know, we're we
all want to stay together, so we're all going to
do what it takes to do that. And you know,
we have great players that have done great things and
deserve to be paid. They're going to be paid what
they're worth, whether we do it or somebody else. I
hope we do it. I think, you know, we've had
the discussions that the guys are going to get paid
(28:51):
that need to get paid, and so it's a it's
a big offseason for the Bengals.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
Now the organization here is that and he feels like he's,
you know, kind of publicly putting the pressure on Trey
Hendrickson has spoken about it publicly like it's now the
conversation is getting louder and louder. It's not going to
have any sort of impact as to what their decision
making is going to be.
Speaker 4 (29:12):
No, No, They're going to stay disciplined to what it
is that they their number is going to be. For
what they're going to offer, I think they will offer,
and in their estimation, I think their offer will be
aggressive for those players. I do believe that. But how
(29:32):
aggressive is it in the reality of the player's eyes
is going to be what I find to be most
intriguing about this scenario, because somebody's leaving. Somebody's leaving, and
if I were guestimating who who was going to be,
I would think that it's t Higgins.
Speaker 3 (29:52):
Yeah, exact thing that would be.
Speaker 7 (29:54):
I think I think they will be died man out
and I think they'll be able to pay.
Speaker 3 (29:58):
They should have the capacity to pay two of the three.
Speaker 7 (30:02):
In regards I'm saying Trey Henderson, t Higgins, and obviously
Jamar Chase because Jamar needs an extension. I'm scared to
think that it could be only one of the three
because that organization very well could be. And honestly, and
I don't want, like Bengals fans to get upset. I
want you to be real and aware of the fact
that your organization traditionally has not paid out a bunch
(30:24):
of money.
Speaker 3 (30:25):
It's just the truth.
Speaker 7 (30:27):
So I'm just pointing out to you, like, there's a
real chance that it's just Jamar, it's not to Higgins,
it's not Trey, and you know that very well could
be the route that things go. And then this is
one of the reasons why I think people get concerned
about Joe Burrow insincenat even don't win a super Bowl,
because it's not an organization that's an organization that's serious
(30:48):
about trying to win a Super Bowl.
Speaker 10 (30:51):
I mean, Chris Jones said it.
Speaker 2 (30:53):
They asked him, you know who's the biggest threat in
the AFC, and he said it's the Bengals. Yeah, And
so it feels like the frustration there is probably man like,
we really do have a super Bowl window right now.
Speaker 3 (31:05):
We already went to one.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
We've proven outside of Tom Brady, Burrow's the only quarterback
that can beat Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs, which is crazy.
It's got to be frustrating that they're like, this is
all going to come down to a mom and pop
shop kind of dictating whether or not we're going to
be able.
Speaker 10 (31:21):
To get over the hump and win a super Bowl there.
Speaker 7 (31:25):
And I don't know the other thing about Burrow make
those comments though, as I think he's trying to push
this organization to a place where they realize they need
to go, like they need to go, They need to
bring in private equity, they need to do whatever they
need to do in order to make this thing work
because they do have this window.
Speaker 3 (31:43):
But more so than that, I think he knows.
Speaker 7 (31:45):
If they're going to create cap space, they're going to
create cap space through him, and so it's ultimately going
to be good for him, Like he's gonna get more guarantees,
he's gonna get more money and bonuses right in order
to create the cap space to fit those guys. And
if they could get Trey andjemoar Chase, because I'm with LeVar,
I don't think t Higgins.
Speaker 3 (32:03):
Is going to be back.
Speaker 4 (32:05):
Yeah, price tag is gonna be too big. Ye, he's
got he's got a market. He's huge.
Speaker 3 (32:09):
By the way, have you ever seen him in person?
My supero, He is a big frame.
Speaker 2 (32:15):
I saw also there was a rumor that was floated
out there that a potential trade target for well, there's
a couple of them for Cincinnati.
Speaker 10 (32:25):
I saw one.
Speaker 2 (32:26):
You know, Miles Garrett's name was thrown out there. I
find that hard to believe that Cleveland would trade him
inside the division.
Speaker 3 (32:31):
But who knows.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
David and jok who said he's going to talk with
Miles Garrett to try and convince him to stay. You
should probably talk to the organization and convince them to
go back in time and not pay.
Speaker 3 (32:41):
A weirdo two hundred and thirty million dollars. But that's
a whole nother story.
Speaker 2 (32:44):
But the other one I saw was a potential trade
target for Cincinnati this offseason would be Kyle Pitts. That
maybe Kyle Pitts's run in Atlanta could be over because
it just had it just hasn't panned out the way
anybody thought it was the talents there, and the thought
is potentially Cincinnati would look at maybe adding Kyle Pitts,
(33:07):
who would still you know, you have under control with
his rookie deal. So that could be another weapon for
Joe Burrown company in that offense. So that's the Cincinnati
Bengals are out there trying to make moves and wheel.
Speaker 3 (33:20):
And deal a little bit here are they.
Speaker 2 (33:22):
Well, listen, you got Joe Burrows trying to trying to
step on the gas.
Speaker 10 (33:26):
Get this thing.
Speaker 3 (33:27):
Going, man. I mean.
Speaker 2 (33:29):
They're looking at the Chiefs, who are going back to
another Super Bowl. The Ravens haven't shown they can get
over that homeph. The Steelers feel like they're just kind of.
Speaker 7 (33:38):
You guys buying that theory that the Chiefs tanked that
Week eighteen game.
Speaker 3 (33:43):
No, just so the Bengals candn't get in. No, I
don't buy that.
Speaker 7 (33:47):
I don't buy it because for Carson Wentz, it's a
bad look when this is like your opportunity to get
in there with the system, this offense, you caught there
and you're the tank.
Speaker 3 (33:57):
Yeah, like it does it?
Speaker 7 (33:59):
Do you really think that he he wants that to
happen for his career, like moving forward, and just so
the Pengles don't get in the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (34:05):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (34:06):
I mean, you know, Denver had everything to play for
and and by the way, Cincinnati lost a couple of games,
one in particular against Baltimore that they gave.
Speaker 3 (34:16):
Away, I mean they gave away a few games. Yeah, Like, and.
Speaker 10 (34:20):
It feels like there's been a couple.
Speaker 2 (34:22):
Of times over the past couple of years where Cincinnati's
just kind of falling apart at times and in games,
and Joe Burrow has been frustrated with it. But yeah,
it's you've got a super Bowl window. You have a
time here that you can try and make a run
with him as your quarterback. And now we get to
see how it pans out, especially in that division where
(34:43):
Pittsburgh's up in the air quarterback Baltimore, who knows what
they're going to do at the kicking position because you know,
he's got problems.
Speaker 3 (34:54):
I've just listened.
Speaker 2 (34:55):
Got these are storylines here inside that division and it
is uh, you know, in the Cleveland Browns also have
have their own issues. So two pros and a cup
of Joe. Here on Fox Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn,

Speaker 3 (36:32):
Red Ass is fire the bottom.
Speaker 2 (36:34):
He's gonna bring the heat bottom p He said, he's
gonna bring the heat here.
Speaker 3 (36:40):
Bring the heat.
Speaker 8 (36:41):
Prisco and Lars already give me cramp about my team.
Speaker 2 (36:46):
Senior NFL columnist, a CBS Sports CBS Sports HQ analyst.
He is our smooth operator. Pete Prisco with this year
live from Radio Row, New Orleans. Pete, good morning, How
the hell we feeling here on this Friday?
Speaker 8 (36:58):
Ready to go home one day? Yeah, on Monday, Yeah,
I gotta do the game, tang. Yeah, well you guys
are leaving it about what in a couple of hours. Yeah,
first flights out, Yeah, I got it. I'm here till
a little later. But yeah, you guys get it's brutal.
I can't wait to California. You have to get well,
you get up, you guys, get up it. Next year,
he's got to get at like one o'clock in the morning.
Speaker 10 (37:18):
You know we're work, we know we're working on some stuff.
Speaker 7 (37:20):
Oh oh wow, we're trying to adjust the schedules, trying
like to hear that old PD Pablo.
Speaker 4 (37:27):
For for the game, that is for the game, Like
don't let them be misleading towards you. We're still getting
our asses up early on the regular. How do you
watch a game?
Speaker 8 (37:38):
Like, if there's a Monday night or Thursday night game,
if you guys got to be at the studio three
o'clock in the morning, you.
Speaker 10 (37:43):
Got to live on naps.
Speaker 3 (37:44):
Yeah, yeah, that you got to live on that.
Speaker 2 (37:46):
Like if you can't get if you can't pass through
on a nap, then you're screwed.
Speaker 8 (37:50):
Okay, So you'll watch the game and then go to bed. Yeah,
so you'll take a nap. It's not go to bed.
Speaker 2 (37:54):
You take a nap, taking that peak, and then you
try and get the bull after the show.
Speaker 3 (37:59):
Like you like you are right now? You know what
I mean? Where does so? Like? What do you mean?
What do we do? Pete? How many Super Bowls have
you covered?
Speaker 1 (38:08):
Now?
Speaker 3 (38:09):
Thirty six all in a row?
Speaker 2 (38:11):
Favorite rank super Bowl cities for you from worst to
best that you've.
Speaker 3 (38:17):
Brady loves this one. I like it.
Speaker 8 (38:20):
I like this one too because it's all right here.
I like convenient, the convenience of it. No, it's not
look this, look it's it's easy. Vegas was great. I
thought Vegas was fantastic.
Speaker 3 (38:31):
Vegas.
Speaker 8 (38:31):
I think I think they'll go back to walk though.
But yeah, a lot of walking, but a lot of
walking here too. But but I like Vegas. I like
everything that's right there. When you can just walk out
of bed and go do your stuff, you know, I
don't want to be traveling in it.
Speaker 3 (38:41):
You know. Atlanta's good, Minnesota was good, it's just freezing.
Let's say, what's gonna be fun? Is Nashville once that
stadium is done?
Speaker 8 (38:48):
The worst And I'm gonna say the worst super Bowl
city of all time? And it's not even close. No, Jacksonville,
jackson was by far the worst. I lived there. It
was horrible. Spread out, it's spread out, but they weren't
ready for it. So think about this. They didn't even
have enough hotel rooms back then. They had to bring
cruise ships in so people stayed on. I remember that, Yeah,
I remember that. Yeah, it was they just awarded it
(39:12):
for they loved the owner. They gave them a super Bowl.
It should never have been there ever. And so that
was the worst one. Wow, I guess. I mean, gosh,
how many super bowls this for you?
Speaker 3 (39:21):
To just thirty six?
Speaker 9 (39:22):
The first one I did was here, right, it was.
Speaker 8 (39:24):
It's how long ago it was it was fifty five
to ten thirty sixos and you know what, and you
know what they they were screaming in the locker room.
We got the speed limit because back then the speed
limit was fifty five.
Speaker 3 (39:36):
It wasn't sixty five. That's how long.
Speaker 9 (39:38):
You know what Radio row was back then.
Speaker 3 (39:39):
I was just gonna ask you, how different is this setup?
Speaker 7 (39:43):
Is everything around, like even what you're asked to do
for your job versus what it was back then.
Speaker 3 (39:47):
Yeah, oh, it's definitely different.
Speaker 8 (39:48):
But Radio Row was in that super Dome was right there,
and then they had that The high at hotel was
right there. Radio Row was like in the down below
the one level below the lobby, and there were like
three or four radios there.
Speaker 3 (40:00):
I'm not kid. There was none of this. That's it.
Nobody came it was.
Speaker 8 (40:04):
It was like nothing like this, And everybody would go
to the team hotels and do their interviews.
Speaker 3 (40:10):
And you wrote, by the.
Speaker 8 (40:10):
Way, I might have one of the longest dreaks going
any consecutive right, you know why because COVID nobody few
guys who were on a streak made COVID Super Bowl,
but we did.
Speaker 3 (40:19):
You weren't scared. I was trying to Tampa. Yeah, there was.
It was.
Speaker 8 (40:23):
There was about forty people that you had to sit
like apart and it was like an exhibition game.
Speaker 3 (40:28):
Well you quarantined for that Super Bowl. Yeah, you followed
the rules of quarantined.
Speaker 7 (40:33):
I can't speak for everyone else, but like some people
out there had a great week of golf.
Speaker 8 (40:37):
All kinds of things going on there. So, yeah, you
lived it up, didn't you. Hell yeah, yeah, you're Brady Quinn.
You could do whatever you wanted. It's not that Oh
yes it is. I'm Brady Quinn and you're.
Speaker 2 (40:45):
Not all So Pete, the best post super Bowl party
or I guess super Bowl week party you've been.
Speaker 10 (40:53):
To since covering Super Bowls? Who threw a rager that
you just tore it up at?
Speaker 8 (40:57):
Well, the NFL. I'll tell you where there was a rager. U.
There was a party at the Zoo in San Diego
for Lee Steinberg.
Speaker 3 (41:04):
Through a party at this zoo, It's San Diego Zoo.
He closed it down.
Speaker 8 (41:08):
That closed the zoo down, and it was like Hollywood
stars everywhere. And I brought my wife was in town
with me, and we went and we might have drunk
the damn thing dry.
Speaker 9 (41:18):
And I actually I actually had tickets. I actually had
tickets to the Playboy party that night.
Speaker 3 (41:25):
What is happening?
Speaker 7 (41:26):
He just saw the phone acting like he's busy communicate
to us, like what's that gonna do?
Speaker 3 (41:32):
Clearly it's not doing anything right.
Speaker 10 (41:33):
We apologize for anybody listening though.
Speaker 2 (41:35):
There's just some technical difficulties that are happening here at
Radio ro up with the super Bowl, because of course
there is, of course there is used to.
Speaker 9 (41:43):
Throw great parties after Friday night.
Speaker 8 (41:47):
It was called the Commissioner's Party, and if you guys
would think about this, they'd invite the media.
Speaker 9 (41:53):
But there was like a different section that was closed.
Speaker 8 (41:56):
Off, and it was like we were the farm animals
and the people behind that they were like all the
dignitaries and the owners and everybody, and so there was
like a gate there and you'd walk around and to
be you know, it was a great party. There was
like bands and everything, but like we were like the
freak show. Everybody got to watch us walking in circles.
Speaker 3 (42:13):
The media is.
Speaker 9 (42:14):
But I mean that party they eliminated that, They got
rid of that.
Speaker 3 (42:17):
Who were limited Roger the league give me that that
was the league. But did it? Did it happen before,
and then when Rogers got here, he just mixed it.
Speaker 8 (42:23):
You know, they didn't need the media anymore. They used
to think they needed the media. They don't need the
media anymore, they say that, but then now they're trying
to sell their media company and that's a struggle. And
then they wanted to un they you know, I don't
hold back. Yeah, you don't. You don't, am I wrong?
Speaker 3 (42:37):
Like no, I was just talking some set up like, yeah,
we get sold, all right, we'll see, Buz. Let's talk
about this game. Are we on air at this point?
Gonna come back?
Speaker 8 (42:52):
Mark could have taken three naps between the time he
got off the air and on the air.
Speaker 7 (42:57):
Let's talk about the matchup though, and and and I
like having these conversations with you because I feel like
you've got good perspective on like not the whole Goat
conversation everything else, but in the narratives that come out
from these sorts of games. If Mahomes is able to
win three in a row, something no one's ever done,
where does that put him in your mind amongst the
(43:19):
all time greats, the Danny Marinos, the Tom Brady's, etc.
Speaker 3 (43:23):
Etc. Like, Where where does This put him in because
it is rarefied air in the conversation for the Goat.
Wow already, Yeah.
Speaker 8 (43:30):
And look, he's twenty nine, he'll have won my four
super Bowl Michael Jordan three p did Larry Bird and
Magic never did, and so Magic and Larry were the guys.
And then Jordan came along and he repeated they didn't.
That elevated him to that level. And so he'll have
three in a row four twenty nine. I mean, how
many mvpss you have now?
Speaker 3 (43:51):
Three?
Speaker 8 (43:52):
And so he's only starting and he's there, So I
think it puts him in the conversation for the Goat.
I don't think it necessarily over the top, but I
think you could say they're on equal footing because he
does get the third one.
Speaker 4 (44:04):
Dang well, he's only three away from Tom Brady at
this point, so he could take like a fab if
they went six seven year hiatus on on winning them
and come back, well and go on another tear.
Speaker 8 (44:19):
I mean, it's different, it'll be tougher to do that
because of the way free agency is and everything now.
Speaker 3 (44:24):
But I think I think, I mean.
Speaker 10 (44:26):
They went ten years between Super Bowl y.
Speaker 7 (44:29):
Well, the question really comes down to is Mahome's gonna
be able to play as long because we only want
to play will he wants to But you know, I
mean he plays a style on which he he you know,
contrary to what most people think, he does take hits.
Speaker 3 (44:41):
He does move around a lot more. Yes, and there's
gonna be some roadbumps.
Speaker 7 (44:45):
There's gonna be And when Andy Reid retires whenever, that
is when Travis Kelser retires, Like we watched Brady go
through a lot of coordinators, a lot of players around him,
and and there there was a reason for that hiatus.
You know, it's fine winning one at least.
Speaker 8 (44:57):
It was also three years ago they said, well all
my god, Tyreek kills gone, what are they going to do?
And they just keep on winning. And I think there'll
be different versions of this now. Andy reads another story
if he retires. But I think, you know, in talking
to Andy Reid over the years, he wants to keep coaching.
I get that he could. By the way, he might
catch Sula. He's going to be the greatest coach of
(45:19):
all time. I mean, if he wins this one gives
him four, gives him three in a row. He hadn't done. Also,
what he did with the Eagles, and then if he
chases down, if he averages I figured out. I think
it was like thirteen wins over the next three years.
He chases down Don Shula with those Super Bowls. He's
the greatest coach of all time. And I don't think
you can debate it.
Speaker 3 (45:40):
You're right, that is crazy, right, Okay?
Speaker 4 (45:45):
Can the Chiefs stop the run because I don't think
they can and I think that's going to be a
problem for them in this game. And if they can't
stop the run, then all this talk about goat talk
and winning the game as Kansas City, which we always
assume that Patrick Mahomes is going on offset what's going
(46:05):
on out there no matter what. But if you think
about it, Buffalo was able to run the ball on
Kansas City. Houston was able to run the ball on
Kansas City. There's no reason to think that this team
isn't going to be able to run the ball effectively
against against the Kansas City.
Speaker 9 (46:25):
Well, they haven't given up one hundred yard rusher in
all year.
Speaker 3 (46:29):
I bet you they do. I bet first.
Speaker 8 (46:30):
I think, well one time and it was a little
I think it was Lamar in the first game. I
think it was or Henry in the first game. Other
than that, no one hundred yard rushers in the postseason.
They don't give up one hundred yard rushers. And so, yeah,
I get what you're saying, because that Eagles offensive line
is so good, so physical, Barkley's great. But here's the
other thing, Spikenole's had two weeks, two weeks, two weeks
(46:52):
to take.
Speaker 9 (46:52):
If you're playing Eagles, what are you doing.
Speaker 8 (46:54):
You're gonna do everything you can to limit You're not
gonna stop Barkley, but you limit him and make hurts beacha.
And if hurts Beacha, you salute them and you say,
God bless you. You won the game. That's what I'm doing.
And so what do you do? You got to be
physical with the lives. Here's the thing. Barkley's been so
good against eight man boxes. You know, He's ripped off
a lot of big runs eight man boxes.
Speaker 3 (47:14):
So what do you do that? Well, there, here's how
I would do it. It always starts with the front.
Speaker 7 (47:21):
So you're going to mix up different fronts to try
to give them different looks. But more than anything else,
it's kind of like remember what Bill Belichick did versus
the Los Angeles rams and back in the Super Bowl
that I was in Atlanta, low scoring game, right defensive
back took away fall. Well there's you're talking about that,
and I'm talking about the more recent one where GoF
was there. Yeah, oh yeah.
Speaker 3 (47:37):
They put a lot of bear fronts.
Speaker 7 (47:39):
Bear fronts eliminate what you're going to be able to
do in the run game, and I think you're going
to see a fair amount of that where they center
and both guards are covered up, and that's gonna again
limit what that package is for Kellen Moore and what
they want to do running the football most again, and
I haven't delved into, you know, Kellen Moore's system and
where what he typically goes to, but there's only gonna
(47:59):
be a handful of runs. Usually when that's the case,
I think you'll see a fair amount of that. How
they get to it, it could be three using three
defensive linemen. It maybe is mugging up a linebacker or something,
but they'll find a way of getting those guys covered
up to change the run.
Speaker 8 (48:11):
Skins Chanal is going to be big and nobody knows
who he is, but he's a good football player. He
knows and he doesn't he doesn't stay on the field
all the time because he comes off in a nickel
when they play a lot of nickel. But they're not
They're gonna put him on the field. He's gonna be
big in this game and try to stop they run.
Speaker 7 (48:24):
Everyone says that, And if I'm Kellen Moore, I put
him in a position where he has to cover Saquall
of course, because he's not good in coverage. He's good.
He's good with his hand in the dirt. He's good
off the ball, though against the run. In coverage, he's
a liability. And I don't think and we'll see what
happens in the game. But everyone keeps talking about that.
I don't know that his impact is gonna It feels
(48:45):
like it's overstated a little bit from people.
Speaker 8 (48:46):
Well, the guy's gonna make the bigges hit back. But
obviously Chris Jones will decide the game. I mean, he's
a game wrecker. He will decide the game. If they
block him, they'll beat him. If they don't, they're gonna
have problems. They don't need to get cute. Come out
and do what you do and run the ball, and
if you have success early, that's gonna be trouble. Because
(49:07):
I believe there's gonna be fatigue with them big boys running, chasing,
being aggressive, being physical against that Kansas City front just
keep coming downhill like they've done. And I'm telling you,
I think that's gonna be a problem. They don't have
to get cute, you know.
Speaker 4 (49:24):
I'm more I thought about it coming through the you know,
getting closer to the game. It's like, Oh, they're gonna
have to do all these different things. They're gonna you know,
Spags is gonna walk them up and I'm like, yeah,
he's gonna pack the box and he's gonna find ways
to find angles and this, that and the other.
Speaker 3 (49:40):
That all sounds good.
Speaker 4 (49:42):
You know what happens until them rye Dale start clicking
and you start hitting Rydale to Rddale D.
Speaker 3 (49:51):
And that thing keeps.
Speaker 4 (49:52):
Hitting and then down by down by down, and then boom,
there's a big play that pops. I'm telling you, these
boys are gonna come out. They're gonna they're gonna weird
like Chris Jones especially. I would guarantee you they're gonna
wear Chris Chris Jones down.
Speaker 3 (50:08):
In the running game.
Speaker 4 (50:09):
They're gonna run, They're gonna run that well, that's what
they should do. If you're the Eagles, that's your play.
This is a game for Jalen Hurts to make a
good decision on looking at the defense and do.
Speaker 3 (50:22):
I give it to Saquon this this time or do
I run it. But the bottom line.
Speaker 4 (50:26):
Is is that that Eagles front is going to They
are going to be the reason why this game is
the way it plays out.
Speaker 3 (50:34):
But I think he's on.
Speaker 8 (50:35):
I think Brady's onto something with the Bear front. I
think that that's what you have to do to try
and take that and just not.
Speaker 7 (50:41):
To get into the weeds because we're on uh you
know radio or you know audio, but you know tipicates
outside zone running game. You know some some some A
Lion coaches don't mind running the power scheme power counter
like a like a gap scheme into it. But it's
tough and so you're you really are limited in what
you're gonna try to do. Now, having a quarterback that
can run like a Hurts that mixes some things up
(51:02):
because because I always like attacking any sort of bare
front like that if you can with option right like
I want to try to attack the edge if I
can and try to go ahead.
Speaker 3 (51:10):
Let one of those guys run free, I'll read off
of them some fast correct So.
Speaker 4 (51:14):
That's what's gonna's a fast slow Yeah, that's a fast flow.
And then you got to ask yourself the question with
that read is it Saquon that's reading that backside in
or is it Jalen hurts that that not reading them
but having to get by them?
Speaker 3 (51:30):
Right? Is it?
Speaker 4 (51:30):
Is it Saquon that's getting the ball and cutting back,
because they're going to have the fast flow against this
offensive line. If you do not fast flow against this
offensive line, they're going to get positioned on you and
they're going to gash you to the front side of
where they're blocking.
Speaker 3 (51:47):
If you don't.
Speaker 4 (51:47):
If you if you play it slower, you play it
slow with your your back sat back, or you play
it slow CBR rules cut back boot revers If you
play it slow with your defensive end. Then right now
you have Saquon or Jalen. All he has to do
is beat that free, that free defensive end and there
to the second level that's four or five yards on
(52:07):
that run.
Speaker 3 (52:08):
Play the Bills us.
Speaker 8 (52:10):
Some barefront and went to some barefronts against the Ravens,
and and kind of you know, for a while limited limited.
Speaker 3 (52:16):
What Henry was doing.
Speaker 9 (52:17):
I think you have to I think you have to
do You're right, you got to.
Speaker 3 (52:20):
Be a surfer.
Speaker 8 (52:21):
You gotta hold your serf on him. Know that, I
think on the end. But you can't. You can't commit.
If you commit, he pulls like hold, Yeah, it pulls.
Speaker 3 (52:31):
You gotta be the defensive ends. You know that is
outside linebacker. You gotta hold your hold, your.
Speaker 8 (52:35):
Sponsor pick pick the Chiefs and look, you could do
all everything you said, and they probably will, and the
Chiefs will do everything that you probably will.
Speaker 3 (52:44):
And we'll get to the end of the game and
the ball at the.
Speaker 8 (52:47):
End of the game, and he's gonna look at Fantio
zone scheme and he's gonna.
Speaker 9 (52:50):
Go and he's gonna hit Worthy for the game winning touchdown.
Speaker 8 (52:54):
Worthy the game. I think Worthy is having a big day.
I just hope he doesn't have a case of drops.
Speaker 3 (52:59):
Uh, Peter, you gonna stick around another second?
Speaker 1 (53:01):
Kay?
Speaker 3 (53:02):
Well, real quick?
Speaker 7 (53:03):
Then if he wins this one, is Patrick Mahomes better
than Danny Marino in your eyes, then your guy Danny?
Speaker 9 (53:10):
Is he a better thrower of the football than Danny Marino? No, No,
he is not ever been.
Speaker 8 (53:16):
Never been a better thrower of the football than Danny Marina.
Speaker 9 (53:20):
Danny Marino and then the rest, and that's it.
Speaker 3 (53:23):
Where is he from? He's from Pittsburgh. Does he make
good cutlets that Danny Marino?
Speaker 8 (53:26):
I bet he makes great cut They gotta be really,
really thin, really do you know that?
Speaker 3 (53:40):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (53:41):
So we got that week. We've got more of the
Great pe Prisco coming up next year. It's two pros
and a cup of Joe live from Radio Row in
New Orleans for Super Week here on F s R.
