we feeling on a Wednesday?
Speaker 3 (01:44):
You know, I was thinking to myself, tire Rack should
come out with like a special offering of here we go.
Speaker 4 (01:53):
Yeah, where's this going?
Speaker 3 (01:55):
I was just thinking out loud, like you've been in studio,
what do you think out?
Speaker 5 (02:00):
What?
Speaker 3 (02:00):
They just to come out with a special offering of prophylactics,
you know, easy trad, super grip. I don't know. I
was just thinking out for two seconds because I was
thinking about it because I was talking to you. My
daughter graduating, which is horrible, all right, So let me
(02:21):
just get full of disclosure. So I drove her car
today and I was checking her car to make because
her cap and gown was go figure, right. I just
told you you're gonna feel old as hell because he's
getting his first haircut today and then tomorrow he's getting
a haircut for graduation. And it's like you get emotional,
you start running all kinds of things, like I'm ahead
of y'all in parenthood, right, So I'm going through a
(02:43):
car because she's like, Dad, take my cap and gown
out down to die. I gotta god, mom, get get
my hair, get my senior pictures. Day, Like all right,
no work. So I'm checking around the car, this, that,
and the other. And I go in her bag and
it's birth control pills in her bag. And I'm like, yeah,
So I started thinking about like college, like on my
(03:04):
drive to to on my drive to work this morning,
I was like going through all kinds of like a
myriad of emotions and thoughts while I was on my
way to work. And and then I get here with
you and we're sitting there and we're talking and I'm
telling you about that, and then I was like tire reck.
I was like, man, I black tuxedo was like the
weapon of choice when I was in school. I don't
(03:24):
even know those things are even still available, but it
was like the whole idea having a cool having a
cool prophylactic name tuxedo. I mean, it's kind of I
don't know anyways, I just don't want I don't want
to be a grand daow Well, I started thinking about
my my time in college, and you know, yeah.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
You'll apply that everything like your time in life. You
don't apply it to like everything with your kids.
Speaker 3 (03:54):
I have que but you see, you're you're a girl dad.
Speaker 4 (03:59):
So once I've got a son, I mean young.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
Yeah, but you're a girl dad, like I have sons,
but my daughters outnumber my sons. Like and you'll find
out that your concerns for your son are vastly different
than your concerns or your thoughts about your sons or
your son is vastly different than your Now, oh wait
till they get older, que, wait till they get older,
(04:22):
Wait till they start to develop. And my oldest daughter
to why I'm talking about, walked into my room the
other day and I thought it was my wife, Jez.
I was like, hey, babe, babe, like walk back out,
walk back in, Like, walk back out. You're supposed to
knock because you're my kids. So I know that it's
(04:44):
my kids coming in because when you just walk in,
that's that's the missus. And I just assume. And now
they sound alike and they look alike, and it freaks
me out because I know how I think, and I
thought about my chick you know. Yeah, oh so so
as a girl dad meaning meaning you don't you have daughters,
(05:07):
you don't just have to deal with boy troubles. Like
my son talks about girls all the time, and it's like, ah,
don't worry about it, man, take your time, stay focused
on your crime, do your thing.
Speaker 4 (05:16):
Da da da.
Speaker 3 (05:17):
It doesn't hit that way when you had that conversation
with your daughters. It's like you got you know, life
is like a pot of gold, baby, and you get
so many coins, and if you start giving your coins away,
then by the time you want to get married and
somebody's supposed to look at you the right way, they
look at your your goldpot, and there's no coins in there,
and then now I gotta take care of you the
(05:39):
rest of your life and all this old other stuff
as like coins. I mean I started off with tyre
Rat coming out with what a special easy grip super
grip deal, so you know it's all good.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
I mean, got his first hair cut yesterday, so I mean,
what do I know? Oh how I think that's fine.
My wife was almost in tears. It's like, what do
you want? He looks like he looks awful, right, did they.
Speaker 3 (06:09):
Use a glowbe and give him a blow of a
blowout with bolo?
Speaker 1 (06:14):
Simple cut, simple, simple cut.
Speaker 3 (06:16):
He'll get it together. Could you get like lined up?
Like your beard is lined up? Looks like a straight
chin strap off of like, yeah, speed, you know my
hair gets all over the place. Oh, your your head
gets a little nappy, my guy when you come in here.
And I know you can't get away with saying that, but.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
I was.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
I used to wonder, like, wh why should he say that?
Well he said he couldn't say it. I don't know,
go ahead and say it. Oh no, but what what
does your hair look like when you come walking in here?
It's what?
Speaker 1 (06:41):
Well you LeVar Arrington? No, no, no, no, don't do that,
you said, hold on, hold on, hold on.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
Cute cute telling what his hair looks like when he
comes walking in here.
Speaker 1 (06:52):
I mean, we're gonna let that fly.
Speaker 4 (06:54):
Hey.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
Look, that's why.
Speaker 4 (06:57):
That's not a term that it's only specific to one it's.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
Black people, but it's not. It's not designating.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
See, I didn't know that it was a problem, and
then I kind of threw it out there because I
had heard that it was an issue, and Lee to
Lap said, well, no, yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:11):
You can't said white bred America yesterday. I mean, I mean,
you just gotta shoot it and know that, you know,
it's it's not saying in malice. There you go, Yeah,
you know what I mean. Your your head be nappy
when you walk in there, like it's like, you know,
like I would have never thought that was the texture
of your head if I don't wash it. Yeah, like
when you have you come in, it's like now we
(07:32):
we're on camera and stuff like that. So you put
your hat on. I put my hat on because my
hair be crazy napped up too, you know what I mean?
But im just the same. Well, no, it's not because
mine is a little different than yours. But I would
have never gave you that type of texture to be like, dang,
your hair nappy this morning, my gee, sweaty man working out. Dang,
get that grind on. There you go getting grind on.
(07:55):
I mean they're gonna start grinding real hard. And Baltimore
right they are.
Speaker 1 (07:59):
Hey, it's is there a more perfect fit than Derrick
Henry is a Baltimore Raven.
Speaker 4 (08:05):
This almost happened last year before the trade.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
Yeah, and and they just say, like, you know what,
if it's meant to be, let it fly away, it'll
come back to you.
Speaker 3 (08:12):
And there he is.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
He's going to be in Baltimore and they're gonna be smash.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
You see, they brought gust into La. You know exactly
what they're going to do. Harrball put them on note
as well. Let's trump that Baltimore sent for for Henry.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
John's like, you know, that's a hell of an idea, Jim,
how are they gonna want to try that? They just
ad to be related and a monster.
Speaker 3 (08:38):
And one happened to leave the Brothers team Like go figure, Like,
let's keep it in the family. Can't wait. You're gonna
bust people's ass running the ball. We gonna continue to
bust people's ass running the ball.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
If you're a linebacker, what do you think when you
see him and Lamar?
Speaker 3 (08:51):
If you're Dariel.
Speaker 6 (08:52):
Henry, Here's here's what you're forgetting too, is they have
Patrick or Carded that's true, three ten pounds. So you
have a two hundred and fifty a six ft three
fifty pounds running backs who's running behind a massive offensive line,
who's running behind a full back who's three hundred and
ten pounds.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
That's a long game.
Speaker 6 (09:14):
All I know is if they ever run a quarterback
sweep where like Derek Henry is the lead blocker and
Patrick heccards into God have mercy on the souls and
I go to the second level.
Speaker 4 (09:22):
I mean, just I don't know what. I love it.
I mean it's a perfect yeah, yeah, you know. The
only thing I wonder.
Speaker 6 (09:30):
Is like for running backs, their best their their best
runs typically come when they can get downhill or take
their angle and they can go. You know, when you
have a taller, bigger back like Derrick Henry, you don't want.
Speaker 4 (09:46):
Him to stop his feet.
Speaker 6 (09:47):
So when the quarterbacks under center, it gives the running
back a much better ability to kind of take his steps,
pick his angle, get his shoulder square to the line
of scrimmage, and run and he doesn't have to stop
his feet, turn his body or turn his hips and
get going back to the other direction. That happens sometimes
when you're a gun, which like the Baltimore Ravens are
(10:08):
you know, you know fairly, you know, and gun almost
the majority of the time, the vast majority of the time.
So I do wonder how Munkin's gonna formation things. He's
gonna put Lamar inder center a little bit more to
help out Derrick Henry, even though that takes away from
some of.
Speaker 4 (10:21):
The quarterback run game. I mean, you can still do
nakeds and boots, but.
Speaker 6 (10:26):
You know, they could put him back in pistol and
then you can see what that would look like, which
which could make some sense. But that's the only thing
where I look at the fit I'm going all right, Clearly,
we know they want to run the football and they'll
be fun to watch, but there's also this element of,
like Derrick Henry getting downhill in order to do so.
Speaker 4 (10:44):
It helps sometimes when the quarterbacks under center.
Speaker 6 (10:46):
That's not really what Todd Munkin's done, it's not really
what Lamar Jackson's done.
Speaker 3 (10:51):
I think they will run out of a pistol set
because as a defender, that scares me to death to
have a dude as physically gifted as Henry back there
with a dude as physically gifted as Lamar Jackson, and
for as big as he is, his mobility and his
(11:15):
acceleration still at this point is still elite. Like I
don't know, for how many more years if you get
one to two more years. I think that's a win,
if anything beyond that, super win. And so if you're
having to worry about them being six to seven yards
(11:36):
off the ball, and I'm telling the defensive end you
have to track who on the RPOs which one are
you tracking? Because I'm gonna tell you right now, whoever
isn't tracking one is going to be a disadvantage to
the other. If you have the defensive end track the
back and Lamar pulls it out and pause and gets
(12:01):
to the outside, you're going to have a matchup issue
with whoever that is that has to come down, whether
it's the safety or whether it's the linebacker. If it's
a linebacker, he's possibly going to be too slow. If
it's the safety, he's going to possibly not be a
good enough tackler to deal with Lamar. If you hand
it off knowing that Lamar may pull it off, pull
it out, and now Derek gets the ball, what are
(12:24):
you doing? Because generally speaking, the offensive line, that gives
the offensive line an opportunity to get themselves strategically in
the position to give Derrick Henry the vision of where
his cut gap is going to be. It's just going
to be to me I feel like it's going to
be fun because having Derrick Henry in that backfield opens
(12:44):
up so many opportunities for them in the passing game.
Because you cannot come into a game and say, with
those two guys in the backfield, we can play the pass.
You are going to have to configure your defense to
be able to stop the run clearly.
Speaker 1 (13:01):
Except in the AFC title game, and then then things
changed a little bit.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
I bet you it doesn't change that Derek Henry's in
that backfield. I'll tell you that.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
To Brady's point. Back in the day, they used to
when they would do tag team wrestling, they would always
announce the combined weight him and Ricard five point fifty
in the backfield. That's your backfield for the Baltimore Ravens
to try and deal with next year. I was also
thinking this that division was fun to watch this past year.
(13:31):
It just continues on man and if Burrow's healthy and
you assume that there's you know that they met their situation.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
Joe Joe, Joe joey.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
If if Russell Wilson it plays well or at least,
you know, in comparison to what he did last year.
If if he puts that performance on for Pittsburgh This
upcoming year, that division is going to be fun as
hell again. Like that, that feels like we're looking at
the best division in football once again, the AFC North.
Speaker 3 (13:58):
Next year it's gonna be a d. They had the
potential to be the best division again. Which was the
best division this year? AFC North? It was huh it
ended up being the best division this year?
Speaker 4 (14:08):
Yeah, the Baltimore the best overall record.
Speaker 3 (14:10):
Because we were we were we thought it was going
to be the West again? Correct? Was that this year?
Last year?
Speaker 4 (14:18):
Four year?
Speaker 1 (14:18):
So?
Speaker 3 (14:18):
Who did we think this was going to be this year?
Maybe the North.
Speaker 1 (14:23):
Could have been well because I mean you had three
teams go to the playoffs, which is impressed.
Speaker 3 (14:27):
Is it a foregone conclusion that the North is the
going to be by by team amount of teams, that
that's going to be the best division. It sounds like
it seems like it.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
Yeah, I would say there's not as much of a
separation between the best and the fourth and that division
as opposed everywhere else to where like you look at
you know, the AFC West and it's like, man Denver's
probably going to be awful. Kansas City is a defending
Super Bowl champ, Like, there's not that much of a difference.
Speaker 3 (14:53):
I'm just curious about Ohio. That's my biggest curiosity as
it applies to the AFC North. Like they overachieved last
year without Deshaun Watson. What does that look like this year?
What does that look like? And Cincinnati took a step
back because they didn't have Joey b What does that
look like this year? Do they get back on track?
(15:16):
Are they back on pace? I think that's going to
be intriguing to see because when you make the moves
like they did lose Patrick Queen though I like that
that they lost him, but and to the Steelers, like
all these indivisional type of deals taking place, and it's
kind of weird because that definitely made the Steelers better.
(15:36):
I'm just wondering if Ohio can can keep keep up
the high achievements, what happens? What's the saga going to
be in Ohio? How does that play out? And that's
to me, I mean, I think Baltimore is going to
be really good. I'm curious as to and I gotta
say it, I'm curious to as what Russell Wilson will
(15:57):
be for Pittsburgh and if it ends up not being RUSS,
then can Kenny Picket pick it up enough for the
Steelers to be a little bit better than what they
were last year and trending in a different direction. I
think for as good as we may think the North
is going to be, there's still a lot of question
marks where it could actually go the hopposite direction in
(16:19):
terms of their achievement. I wouldn't be surprised if the
Steelers underachieved. I wouldn't be surprised if the Ohio teams
underachieved and that the Baltimore Ravens turn out to be
like the loan team that are top of the AFC North.
Speaker 4 (16:32):
Cincinnati guarantee is to get in the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
I guarantee a whole prediction.
Speaker 1 (16:38):
I think I think Cincinnati's went in the division next year.
Speaker 4 (16:41):
I mean, if you have so prediction, yeah, I honestly
think they may win the Super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (16:47):
If you look at tang y'all just radm well, think.
Speaker 6 (16:52):
About this and then the AFC South. Okay, Houston would
be good we saw with CJ. Strout, but that division
should be a lot more competitive too. I think Jacksonville
will be better than what they were last year. We'll
see what Tennessee is. But they kind of fell apart,
so it was hard to kind of you know, factor
that end. But as you start to like go through
and pick each teams in each division, yeah, Buffalo is
(17:14):
still going to be there. They've had to make a
lot of roster cuts and moves, though, who knows if
they don't take a step back.
Speaker 4 (17:19):
But either way, well say Buffalo is going to win
that division. I don't know.
Speaker 6 (17:23):
The New York Jets quarterback maybe the VP for an
independent presidential race, so he is rarely even playing at
this point. I mean, if he's not, I think we
know what it looks like. If he's not, I don't
think there's highestpirations for New England. Miami is a team
that has had to make a lot of different roster
moves and cuts. We'll see what they look like outside
of Kansas City and the AFC West. Like you've got
(17:44):
to rebuild in Jim Harbaugh, how much can they do
in year one? Same thing for Raiders. Antonio Pierce now
takes over full time as head coaches. It's gonna be
a rookie quarterback? Who is it?
Speaker 4 (17:54):
At Denver's Denver, Like.
Speaker 6 (17:55):
If you really look at it, I would say it's
very safe to bet on two teams of the AFC
North getting in probably three again.
Speaker 1 (18:02):
Yeah, so we're looking at it.
Speaker 3 (18:05):
That's how you're looking at it.
Speaker 1 (18:06):
That's what's happening in the North.
Speaker 6 (18:07):
That's what's happening this This is obviously unless they lose
their quarterbacks, then that throws a wrench the whole thing.
But as we saw in Cleveland, as we saw in Pittsburgh, like,
they're still good enough to overcome that.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
Well, listen, we're good enough to overcome the fact that
we've got three hours to work with here on Fox
Sports Radio and NFL offseason or not, We've got plenty
of NFL topics and conversation to come. We're also gonna
have another edition of in case you missed it. We've
got our Midweek Awards. We're going to pass out Petros
popadakas the Old Pea stops by an hour three of
the program, we got the BQ News to close up shop.
It's all yours here again as we take you all
(18:43):
the way up until nine am Eastern time, six o'clock Pacific.
But a Hall of Fame resume in the NFL may
have gotten that much more impressive. We'll tell you why
that is. That's next.
Speaker 5 (18:54):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, Levarington, and Jonas
Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific on
Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 3 (19:09):
Hey what's up, everybody. It's me three time pro bowler
LeVar Arrington and I couldn't be more excited to announce
a podcast called Up on Game. What is Up on Game?
You asked, along with my fellow pro bowler TJ. Huschman
Zada and Super Bowl champion Yup, that's right, Plexico Birds.
You can only name a show with that type of
talent on it. Up on Game We're going to be
(19:31):
sharing our real life experiences loaded with teachable moments. Listen
to Up on Game with Me LeVar Arrington, TJ. Huschman Zada,
and Plexico Birds on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or
wherever you get your podcast from. You saw one of
the members that one of the members of Gap ben
(19:55):
I believe that Charlie. No, it wasn't Charlie Wilson, Nah,
it was another one of members who sings this bad
song got band. Oh, come on, Jonas gat Band, Okay,
I believe it from out Ohio. Yeah, I believe. So
(20:16):
I could be wrong.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
Everything centers around the state of Ohio.
Speaker 6 (20:19):
I mean this type of music, this might be before
my time, so I'm not quite sure it's.
Speaker 3 (20:24):
Way before your time. Actually Tulsa, Oklahoma. Oh they're from Oklahoma.
Speaker 4 (20:28):
Oh say thank right?
Speaker 3 (20:31):
Oh? I thought they were from Ohio.
Speaker 1 (20:34):
Yeah, it happens. Two pros and a cup of Joe.
Here on Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas
Knox with you coming up in less than twenty minutes
from now. You talk about an unrealistic demand of a legend,
We are going to hear it. That'll be yours here
on FSR from the tyrack dot Com studios. So Brady
who alluded to this listen d Jalen Johnson admitting to having,
(20:59):
you know, a second addiction at his press conference to
announce his contract extension. I didn't think I was going
to hear this NFL offseason. I didn't think I was
going to hear a player do that. I also didn't
think I was going to hear that. Aaron Rodgers was
going to be a potential.
Speaker 3 (21:13):
Running mate for.
Speaker 1 (21:16):
Like ideal running mate for Robert Kennedy Junior as his
VP running as an independent in November's election. And there's
been a lot of potshots, a lot of people taking
jabs at Rogers on social media. This is like, we
have not heard anything from Aaron Rodgers. To my understanding,
(21:37):
this was RFK Junior who said that it was Rogers
and Jesse the body Ventura's potential running mates. But I
really hope this happens. I'll be honest with you. I
just think this is fun. I want to see his
ability to multitask, you know, try and chase down a
Super Bowl and actually complete a season or just a
drive in New York with the Jets, and at the
(21:59):
same time I'm go and pursue a potential political career
in the middle of his NFL career. I just want
to see it. So I'm not going to throw shade
at Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 6 (22:08):
Yes, I have so many questions, like how would that work?
Is he just leaving the Jets to go run for
in a political race.
Speaker 3 (22:18):
Well, they just got to make time for him, you
know what I mean.
Speaker 6 (22:20):
Is he like after games you know, making his it's
like a stump speech, like to America and his nationally
televised game. I mean we said this last year when
the schedule came out, they had what five six primetime
games whatever it was. He's going to have the same
about this year because pretend to forget like he didn't play,
had four plays before tearing his achilles, So he's going
(22:43):
to get a bunch of primetime games. It's still a
very intriguing headline or storyline. He's going to have moments
to make those political stump speeches if he wants. You know,
how does he go about handling that? Does he departmentalize
football and.
Speaker 4 (23:02):
Running it? I don't know that at this point.
Speaker 6 (23:04):
It's fun to toss around the ideas of what this
could be, but I can't imagine it's or it's hard
for me to imagine that he's going to accept it,
even if he was offered it. I mean, this is
something that he's going to have in his future if
he wants it. I just feel like you've got to
(23:25):
be all in for you know this, two three, what
four years he said he want to play.
Speaker 4 (23:31):
Yeah, like a week or two ago.
Speaker 3 (23:34):
Listen, what just when you thought he couldn't now do
coming back early from an Achilles' tiar injury. Yet again,
another tremendously ridiculous storyline emerges from Aaron Rodgers. I just
I would not believe that there's a possibility to keep
(23:55):
this conversation going for a long time. I mean, we
actually had the conversation of, Hey, Aaron Rodgers is going
to return from his achilles injury. He's gonna come back.
He's gonna play. Oh, he's gonna make it. He's gonna
play all the way until the last, very possible moment
where it shows itself that he's not going to play.
(24:17):
This is going to be a hitline because at the
end of the day, like that injury is now from
last season. So give whoever it is that does Aaron
Rodgers pr and makes him more relevant in mainstream media.
They deserve to be paid all the money that they
(24:39):
get because that dude has some of the wildest storylines
connected to him, with nobody else entertained somebody coming back
from that type of injury in the same season, nobody's
gonna entertain it and not going to really care. Now
we're in a different offseason and he's gonna. I don't
know that he is. I'm just I'm being I'm kind
of being overstar ca to care. But I mean, but
(25:01):
just imagine if this gained some momentum and had legs,
like he actually said something that alluded to him possibly
putting his name in a bid for being a vice
president of the United States, Like that's crazy, man.
Speaker 1 (25:16):
I mean, it's already it's you know, it's going to
gain momentum because it's Rogers and there's just people want
to find something to take a shot at him. And
whether he likes the attention and likes all this stuff
that flies around his name and all the rumors and
crap like that, whether whether he's you know, the guy
pushing this or not. Like you don't hear a lot
(25:36):
from him. That's why I wonder when people criticize him
for this stuff that comes out and there's too much
noise and too much distraction, Well, how much of it
is really him or if it's just people that throw
his name into stuff and it generates some sort of realcity.
Speaker 3 (25:50):
What if he came out and said the whole reason
for him going to the Hobbit Tree was to meet
with Kennedy and them to be down there and top
secretly because they did say somebody was in the tree
witting right. Uh, they say he wasn't alone.
Speaker 4 (26:06):
I thought he was like a loan or whatever.
Speaker 3 (26:08):
I thought he was with somebody. I thought there was
somebody in there with it, underground, underground that song. But
what if what if it came out that Kennedy was
down there and they were just down there game planning
on how they're going to go take the presidency the
following year. Underground and alone. From understand, I mean, no
(26:31):
no energy, just just candlelight. And you know that's what
I hear goes on tree roots. Yeah, you know, bround
hogs and moles.
Speaker 1 (26:41):
Get you, get you centered, to get you back. And
then he looked, I mean, we could say whatever we want,
but you get you walk out of there, and all
of a sudden he realized he wants to play, and
he wants to play it for a lot longer, and
he wants to be in New York Jets.
Speaker 3 (26:52):
But still be a vice president while doing so. I mean,
that would be the greatest feat of molt he tasking
maybe that we've ever seen in the history of America.
Speaker 4 (27:04):
I can't imagine he'd be doing both though, like.
Speaker 3 (27:07):
You just you couldn't. But what if he What if?
What if Robert Sala was like, you know what, we
only need you on Sunday. No, I mean, let's let's
be clear here, Aaron, like if you really want to
be the vice president, like we only need you Sunday, Like,
go go be a president during the week, we borrow you,
you know, Saturday and Sunday you go back to running
(27:27):
the country and and you know, meet us via via
skyper zoom teams.
Speaker 6 (27:32):
You know, in all seriousness though in regards to this topic,
like I was looking serious, like, man, it could work.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
I just want to see it. I really want at
this point, why not good.
Speaker 4 (27:44):
You know, seriousness to the topic. I do believe this.
I do believe it's gotten to the point. Now where.
Speaker 6 (27:56):
Are the leader of the free world, our president candidate,
his running mate, the vice presidential candidate. No, it's it's
being joked about in this manner though.
Speaker 3 (28:09):
That's a sad thing.
Speaker 6 (28:10):
That's that's where I look at this and go, I
don't it's not a joke. Don't get me wrong with
what I'm saying, But we're joking about it in a
manner like, oh, he's gonna be able to play and
do both. Like he's not gonna be able to do both.
Speaker 4 (28:24):
And this is one of those things.
Speaker 6 (28:26):
If he feels passionate enough about it, he should not
play football and go and do it and and come
back if he can, or whatever the case is. And
by the way, there's nothing wrong with that, if he
feels that passionate about our country, about his own political beliefs.
I don't care what side of the aisle you're on,
by the way, or if you're independent in this case,
(28:47):
you know, I don't care. Like our country needs good people,
it needs people who are passionate about trying to help
our country and serve our country.
Speaker 4 (28:55):
So I have no problem with that. But I do
think it's gonna take all of your time and focus
and attention. And that's where it's.
Speaker 6 (29:02):
Just it's it's fun to discuss, but it's also sad
in the same breath that we are here as a
country where we're making jokes about this, and and again
like he could have a very long political career if
he wants after he's done playing football.
Speaker 4 (29:17):
I just think the job entails, you know.
Speaker 6 (29:20):
Giving it everything and giving everything to it and that
that goes on both sides, both jobs. If you're gonna
go into politics, if you're gonna go you know, and
and and be the quarterback to the New York Jets.
Speaker 3 (29:31):
I just think that Kennedy and his team looked at
the way Aaron Rodgers has interviewed the fact.
Speaker 4 (29:38):
They said to him, look at him, Johnson, look at him,
look at.
Speaker 3 (29:41):
Him, look at him.
Speaker 1 (29:42):
You don't you a RFK juniors jacked busy.
Speaker 4 (29:47):
Yeah, yeah, thanks for that, Jonas.
Speaker 1 (29:50):
Let me know, I'm just saying somebody can rally around.
Guy walks around doing shrugs all day.
Speaker 3 (29:56):
I have watched what's going on, and to your point, Q,
some of these responses and these debates and and these
addressings of their you know, their people, it's just been
really kind of comical, the things that they say, their
responses to questions. It's like the competency level is is
(30:21):
kind of waning right now. It's kind of interesting, and
then it actually gives way to I don't look at
it as being a serious deal. I mean, I'm having
fun with it, But then for two seconds you're like, well,
I'd rather have a dude that I know is in
his right mind knows how to run an offense, which
(30:46):
means he knows how to command, you know, the allegiance
of the army. And when you really think about you know,
historically the greatest leaders, you know, they were generals. You know,
they were in a field. And while I won't compare football,
you know, but so much to our military bottom line
(31:09):
is is that the quarterback is the general of the
on field general of your team, and you've got to
operate in a silky smooth fashion, you know, to be
able to come The interesting thing is when I was
thinking about Aaron Rodgers and the first thing that came
to mind was silk. And you know what for him
to be able to lead this country the way that
(31:30):
he needs to and come out of that hobbit hole,
you know, feeling good and looking good, well, he's got
to have a whole lot of flavors and a whole
lot of nutrition. And you can get that from silk.
They got the flavors and they got the recipes. And
one thing that doesn't get enough attention about silk, which
he could have took this in the hobbit hole, is
(31:50):
that it has shelf stable options. So he didn't need
to have a refrigerator. He didn't even have to have
it refrigerated, you know what I mean, just have it
in there, have it stocked up. It stays fresh without
refrigeration until open. So you know what, if you want
to be like Aaron Rodgers, just go ahead and stock up.

Speaker 3 (35:39):
This is yacht rock.
Speaker 1 (35:40):
Yeah, I see it like that. You know, people like
I wouldn't be playing this in the French rivi era
because you honeymoon. Where'd you honeymoon? Uh?
Speaker 3 (35:48):
Turks and Caicos, But I would be playing this there either, Brady,
where'd you honeymoon?
Speaker 1 (35:58):

Yeah? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (36:01):
See there you go.

Yeah, I mean I listen, I know, but what you mean?
You know?
Speaker 4 (36:16):
Are you there?
Speaker 1 (36:17):
No? He told us at the graduate in Columbus we
were a busting busting balls and we were talking about
honeymoons and you mentioned it there.
Speaker 3 (36:26):
Well you actually outed him like that, and yeah.
Speaker 1 (36:30):
I didn't. No, I didn't know that it was that extravagant.
Speaker 3 (36:33):
I just thought it was, you know, like a bit extravagant.
But I'm not judging. I mean, I mean, I'll say this,
that's one thing I'll only do one time. So whichever
one it was, that's a French rivi era great memory
because it's only going to happen once. Yeah, that's it.

Good thing the guys are here to bring you in

Speaker 1 (37:32):
It, And for that we turn it over to our
executive producer, Ian Roddy, who is in for Lee the
lab who is recovering from a knee injury he suffered
at the Super Bowl that is turned into tuberculosis. So
it's unfortunate what has happened with Lee. But Ian, what
do we got today? Dan, I'm wishing a quick recovery. Yeah, hey, LeVar, Well,
(37:56):
we're gonna start with a.
Speaker 4 (38:00):
Start with.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
Isaiah Thomas.
Speaker 8 (38:04):
He he wants Michael Jordan to apologize national television.
Speaker 3 (38:10):
What did you say?
Speaker 4 (38:11):
An?
Speaker 8 (38:11):
We want Isaiah Thomas wants Michael Jordan to apologize to
him on national television about what? In summary, Former Piston
Starry Isaiah Thomas recently interviewed on the Draymond Green Show.
Green asked Thomas about his relationship with mj wondering if
there was a fix for it. Thomas blatantly laid out
his thoughts, highlighting the derogatory remarks that Michael Jordan made
(38:32):
about him on the documentary The Last Dance. He demanded
a public apology for the remarks and stated that it
was the only way to fix things between them.
Speaker 3 (38:40):
Where is your relationship at today? And is that salvageable? Dude? No,
not salvageable.
Speaker 9 (38:45):
This dude got on national television, international television and called
me an somebody who has been really good to him.
And until he apologizes own international televison.
Speaker 4 (39:01):
We no conversation. You can't.
Speaker 9 (39:03):
You can't apologize and have a private dinner when you
embarrass me publicly. If you didn't mean it, say it
publicly now if you meant it, let us stand do
with that.
Speaker 3 (39:18):
Yeah, he meant it though, So I put that one
to bed.
Speaker 1 (39:21):
Keep on waiting, buddy, What.
Speaker 4 (39:23):
What station would we toun in for it?
Speaker 1 (39:25):
For?
Speaker 9 (39:25):
That?
Speaker 4 (39:25):
Is that the like the global feed for the apology? International?
Speaker 3 (39:30):
He definitely took it international. He took an international, not
just just national that you internationally?
Speaker 4 (39:38):
You know what that? Yeah, you go to it.
Speaker 1 (39:41):
Sorry, Look, every a lot of a lot of people,
A lot of people, a lot of people caught strays
in that documentary on the Last Dance. It's like you've
got former bulls. I think course Boris Grand and Scottie
Pippen are doing some tour in Australia to talk about
it and share their side of the story, like the whole.
(40:02):
It's like, dude, he got in front of the story
and now that's the one everybody goes with. And he's
Michael Jordan, so he's gonna be able to get away
with that.
Speaker 3 (40:10):
What do you mean get away with it?
Speaker 1 (40:12):
It was his side of the store was.
Speaker 3 (40:13):
It wasn't dudes in the in the documentary getting interviewed
and stuff like that. Scottie Pippen was up in that
dip like people was up in the.
Speaker 1 (40:21):
Yeah, but they weren't aware of the comments and some
of the stuff and the way it was portrayed until afterwards.
Speaker 3 (40:27):
Come on saying man, come on, man, I mean his
his son almost married his ex wife, Like come yeah,
Like what y'all got to know that notting off limits
with your airness? Cute? Say wait, wait, wait a minute,
what happened?
Speaker 4 (40:42):
What happened was his short?
Speaker 3 (40:44):
He just kick his baby boy, just kicked her to
the curb. He ain't marrying her. What's her name?
Speaker 1 (40:49):
Larsa?
Speaker 3 (40:50):
Larsa? Yeah, yeah, you know you were good enough for
me to hang WITHO, just not to marry. You're not
gonna become No Jordan's you know everybody else is known.
You could get it. I can get it.
Speaker 4 (41:02):
You can get it.
