Speaker 1 (00:00):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe. Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here. Coming
up on this Tuesday edition, we're gonna catch up with
our guy Pete Prisco. He's got a huge game this
upcoming weekend. We will discuss that with Pete. We're also
going to have another edition of In case you missed it,
and we've got Lee's leftovers. We're gonna take a closer
look ahead at what the college football playoff rankings could

(00:21):
and maybe should look like. Later on tonight, we're gonna
hear from Jameis Winston who went to God. He went
to the Lord himself to fix a big issue he's got.
And speaking of big issues, there's a circus.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
In the NFL. No no, no, no no.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
It's not in Dallas, it's not in New York. It
isn't even in Jacksonville. It's in Chicago. All that more
here next on Two Pros and a Cup of Joe
on a Tuesday, Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (01:04):

Speaker 4 (01:05):

you here, doing it all live from the tire rack

Speaker 1 (01:20):
Tire rack dot com The way tire buying should be.
Nice little shootout last night, Yeah it was. And the
Brady Quinn Bowl. That was fun between the Browns and
the Broncos.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
That was a good time man, just slinging it.

Speaker 5 (01:35):
Tell you what, though, I keep coming away impressed with
some of the throws bon Knicks makes. I mean, Jamis
Jamis has been the league for a while, so but
it wasn't it wasn't. I mean it was Jared Judy Bowl.
Saw Jerry Judy go off a little bit too.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Yeah, the the ninety three yard touchdown throw and then
the very next play the touchdown of Jerry Judy.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
That was. That was fun to watch last night. And
Joe cub Be getting after it too. You know it's
I know, I listen bow Knicks. He might have. He
may have taken the lead for for Rookie of the Year.
I mean, I think I think Washington and Denver have
the same record at this point, or maybe Washington might

(02:17):
be one better. It's very close. Bow Knicks is showing,
uh the moxie and and the resilience and and just
the like, you know, the the control that that a
vet would show. I mean, he looks like a vet
out there, and he looks really good. My point, my major,

(02:37):
my major takeaway from the game outside of the Denver
Broncos was how much better a position with this Browns
team have been if they had did just what I
had said earlier on in the year and just started
Jameis Winston. That's that's why I was. I mean, I
try to keep it straight face because I'm taking a shot.

(02:58):
I've tried to said that. You remember when I made
that Bowl proclamation, like why isn't Jamis Winston starting in
this league? And the fact that they have him on
that roster and and I know you you got the
the gazillion dollar the quarter billion dollar man on your team,
but why aren't they starting Jamis Winston? Like or the

(03:19):
first moment it goes wrong, like when they reported we're
not afraid to start Jamis? Why did they not? They
punted on the season hoping that they could get something
that I believe they had on the bench the entire time,
and that is credit to Cue because he did say it.
That was my takeaway. This was not these This was
two evenly matched teams, and I believe Denver came out

(03:42):
on top. And listen, this is a team that's fighting
for a playoff spot right now and could be a
dangerous team because they have a quarterback that can run
the offense the way that that Sean Payton wants his
offense is to be ran, and they play defense on
the other side of it. You have a complete team,
and you saw a complete team last night. What's said

(04:05):
is these are actually considered to be One team is
trying to prove that they're not an average team that's
on the come up. The other team is just trying
to salvage the season. But nonetheless, it looked like a
team that was trying to salvage the season. I think
they're a better team if Jamis Winston is the starter,
much sooner than what he was.

Speaker 5 (04:26):
I don't doubt that. I think the tough thing for
Browns fans is this is two years in a row
where you've seen quarterbacks besides Deshaun Watson who're playing yeah
a lot of money, operate better within the system operate
better for your team.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Yeah, I mean, like, like, what do you do?

Speaker 5 (04:45):
It's so punitive to try to move on from him.
You can try to trade him, but like I would say,
guys like Kirk Cousins who are under contract, and maybe
somebody float around trading him from Atlanta so Michael Panks
can go play Aaron Rodgers who's under contract. Believe there's
a no trade clause though, so you'd have to agree
to it and to wave that clause either way. I'm

(05:06):
not even sure he would want to do that. There's
a list of quarterbacks who you're gonna get your ass
out of here.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
I know you got no trade clause, but listen, we're
gonna burn your ass up if you stay.

Speaker 5 (05:17):
Maybe Woody Johnson just threats up.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
With a jabs like take the chap hey, Aaron Rodgers,
you want to get your ass up at and the.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Building you want that, Max, We'll get your ass boosted
too on the way out.

Speaker 5 (05:28):
But I mean, you guys get my point, Like, where
are these guys gonna go? And the truth of the
matter is it's gonna hurt you in your your salary
cap for least next year, if not the next two
and every quarterback they've put in has been better than
what we've seen from Watson. So I don't know, Like

(05:49):
I said, I've been a big Jameis Winston fan. Uh,
even before this year. You know, I think you go
back to that year in Tampa where he throws thirty interceptions.
A lot of people write them off, and if you
watch the film, you get a much better sense. For Hey,
that looked like a miscommunication. They look like the guys
are on the same page. Hey, that's not on Jamis.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
Now.

Speaker 5 (06:10):
I'm not saying he didn't throw fifteen or sixteen of
those picks that were on him, which is a lot,
but the thirty, it's like it was a little bit
outlandish when everyone kind of throws it on top of
him and act like he was he was solely responsible
for all that. It just wasn't the case. He's he's
been a good quarterback in my eyes. He just needed

(06:31):
to clean up some of those things. And he's look
last night, you know, it's tough because the Bonito pick six,
it's like, I don't know that he even saw him
the way the Cleveland receivers were stacked. Probably thought I
can remember if it was in Djoko, who is targeting,
but he kind of just stepped right in front of him.
You know, it would have helped the Cleveland you know,

(06:52):
pass catcher like stepped up a little bit. And then
even the other pick six, It's like, it's tough, man,
it's tough. And he missed. He missed some wide open
throws too. You know, he had Judy earlier in the
game on a post that I mean, it doesn't get
much more wide open than that, and he airmailed it.
So he didn't play perfect, but he definitely he made Yeah,

(07:15):
he did. He make throws and this offense has been
better with him than it would have been with Sean Watson.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
No man, listen, we all love Jameis Winston and uh,
Jameis Winston. Following the game, I was very critical of
himself and also gave an impassioned speech to the Lord.

Speaker 6 (07:37):
This was a tough one man in front of the
whole world, from.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
The whole world.

Speaker 6 (07:41):
I missed it up for us and from the whole world.
But I'm gonna continue to get better. We're gonna put
this one behind us, and uh and Lord willing. We
go to Pittsburgh and finished strong, finished it's about finishing
in times like this, you know, that's it's the opportunity

(08:01):
to continue took over the Lord even through the toughest circumstances.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
I know him better than this, I know.

Speaker 6 (08:08):
I'm like, I'm just praying for the Lord to deliver
me from pick sixes.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
Like that's just it's not me.

Speaker 6 (08:14):
Like phenomenal game offense, do some great things, but I
miss it up.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
You know what.

Speaker 5 (08:24):
I love about him and I've always felt this way.
And I don't mean to get into a spiritual realm,
but it's like, do you think God cares that much?

Speaker 2 (08:35):
I'm about to say, you know, I know there's a
lot of prayers that Saint Jude or you know, somewhere
around the world or something to that effect.

Speaker 5 (08:44):
You know, like, what what does Davis Winston's Pick sixes ranked?

Speaker 2 (08:47):
I'm I'm not sure Jesus is coming to save you
on that one. I would take hard no on that one.
That's a note for me though. But he's getting the Eucharist,
is he?

Speaker 3 (08:56):
Like?

Speaker 1 (08:56):
Wait, can I just hold off on this? Like, no
pick sixes next? I can I can I trade this out?

Speaker 2 (09:02):
Please? Can you deliver me from the heighties? I know
him better than this. I know.

Speaker 6 (09:09):
I'm like, I'm just praying for the Lord to deliver
me from pig sixes.

Speaker 5 (09:16):
He's wild, bro, I just.

Speaker 7 (09:24):
I just there's no way the trail. He is the best, bro.
I'm sorry. And he's like at some point there was
the question is this dude being serious? He is one
hundred serious?

Speaker 2 (09:38):
I don't know. I'm gonna tell you. I'm gonna tell
you he's one hundred percent serious, man. And what's cool
about it is it seems like the energy call me crazy,
the energy was different for this team, and it's like
he's probably the catalyst for it. He's one of those guys.
He's going to give you that that that energy, just

(10:01):
high positivity. And once you get passed, because you could
be one of those guys that like like right out
the gate, right out the gate, right off the bat,
you get it and you dig him right. Then there's
the other ones that's like, bruh, dude is foolish man,
like this is like he's a clown whatever. And then
they're like, wait, wait a second, wait I think I

(10:21):
banged with him, Like I think I'm gonna go to
war with this. Wait, Like Jamis is a good dude like, oh,
Jame is here, I bought you a biscuit sandwich man
like here Friday Friday sam breakfast sandwiches. I got you one.
I hope you liked it, like he grows on you, man.
And I'll tell you what Cleveland needed, a feel good

(10:42):
story and somebody that could rally them together. And you
know what, that's a little late, I mean better late
than never.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
He's the only reason I would entertain the thought of
watching the nd season Hard Knocks. I couldn't care less
about Hard Knocks. But you guys saw see North.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
You saw where he hugged the groundskeepers and talked about
how awesome it was that they took care of the
feel like bruh. And in business they teach you like
learning from the ground up and appreciate those who do
the jobs that are are just not you know, deliver
me from delivering me. Lord Jesus, if you're listening, hew, like,

(11:24):
there's a guy.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
Who was probably crawled to the front of a church,
walked inside and gotten down at his knees, had had
five days to live cure my substance abuse issue. I'll
do it, Jesus, saying hold on, asking.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
Hold on the game is on right now, James is
asking me to deliver them from a pick six. Jesus,
like a norm give it a rest.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
They're in the red zone, all right, Hey, that stuff
going out here?

Speaker 2 (11:49):
Hey buddy, what happened to that guy that was praying
to me over there? He died? Jesus, you were paying
attention to Jamis at the moment, you know, he walked
into traffic. Jameis mimiss Jerry.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
Judy in the back of the end zone and now
their head the other way. So I I have for
the entire time that we've heard Jameis Winston quotes, I'm like,
there's no way this is real. Like he's trying not
to laugh when he's saying this. You know, you want
to know what convinced me. Did you see the reaction
of his former teammates in New Orleans when they saw

(12:24):
him after the game when the Browns everybody loves the guy.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
You can't fake that.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
They all legitimately love me named Sean Payton seeing him
last year, Yeah, I love it. So it's he's a
he's a treasure, but man, genuine man.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
But that is funny as hell because it's just so
it's so different, That's all. That's how I put it.
But not to be buried, not to bury the lead.
The Denver Broncos, they're legit. I ain't gonna put them
in great. I'm not going to put them in the
category of great. But Seawan Peyton has his man again.

(13:02):
Every week I say it more and more. He pulled
a fast one. He pulled the fastest one in this
past draft. Because I'm gonna tell you what bo Nicks is,
and I'm gonna say it confidently, even though I'm a
big I'm a big I'm a big.

Speaker 5 (13:18):
Jaydon Daniels fans, glad you've got on board, finally broaking
you over.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
I don't. I mean, I watched watched him last night. Obviously,
I don't. I don't get a chance to watch all
the games, and I haven't really been interested enough to
really really get into the Broncos other than surface surface
level of it, but just really taking a look at,
you know, how he looks over the defenses, how he
communicates with with the lineman, his control and as as

(13:43):
a leader of the offense, his his his poise. I mean,
he just he exemplified what you would want a quarterback
to look like, and that's not just saying because he's
you know, oh, he looks good for a rookie. He
looks as though he settled in and he's comfortable. I
always said, how you say this to the rookie quarterbacks
that come in. If you can get comfortable with being

(14:05):
uncomfortable with coverages and just trust that your timing is
going to be your timing, you'll be a dope dude
in this league. Like, you'll be a dope dude because
you gotta trust it. And it's scary because if you
don't trust it, that split second of indecision could be
the reason why it's a pass breakup or could be
a be a pick. This kid looks like it's like,

(14:28):
I'm okay, I'm okay with making the throw. I'm gonna
trust that. This is what we worked on. This is
the flow of it, this is the rhythm of it.
I'm gonna go through my progressions and he delivers the ball.
I mean, good for him, and good for it for
the Broncos they could I mean, if it's not this year,
you better watch out. The AFC West is going to

(14:49):
be a dog again. Kansas City better figure it out
because that team right down the street from here, Tom Chargers.
They're going to be a really good team. Man. I
don't know if it's this year with those two with
Denver and the Chargers, but they're going to be some.
They're going to be really good teams moving forward.

Speaker 5 (15:05):
I think what stands out the most to me, it's
not bo Nicks. It's not their offense. It's their defense.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
And this was a.

Speaker 5 (15:11):
Defense that gave up seventy over seventy points to the
dulphin Miami last year. They were awful, absolutely awful. They
are a top five defense. Now they lead the league
at least in sacks going into you know, this past week.
I mean, it is a dramatic change, and I would

(15:31):
say they're doing it without having to have a superstar.
And they talked a little bit about it last night.
Like the last time this team was able to lead
the league in sacks, you'd have to go back to
the Von Miller probably Chubb years. It was like nine
years ago, like twenty sixteen or something like that. I mean,
it's been a dramatic transformation from where they were last year.

(15:53):
And all credit to Sean Payton not getting rid of Vans,
Joseph I mean there was times, I mean, like I
was watching the defense going how can you how can
you hang onto this? Like how can you keep you know,
that person in that position? As much as they struggled, Now,
the defense got better last year as they started to
move off with some of the veteran pieces. But this

(16:14):
was a team that struggled mightily and improved. But you
had to really pay attention. You had to kind of
see the riding on the wall to understand they were
going to be better this year, and now they're one
of the best in the NFL. So to me that
the thing that stands out about this team is the
dramatic transformation or how bad they were defensively into what
they've been this year, which is honestly. I mean, I

(16:36):
know last night was a little bit of a shootout,
but it's kept the big games. It wasn't last night.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
They won them. Last night's game, yeah, definitely did.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
And all this without Alex Singleton thousand oaks high Alum,
thousand oaks.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
That's right, the HATO five up top up top.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
Yeah, yeah, all right, yeah, big time.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
Yeah. Lord delivered me. Lord, Lord Jesus, if you're listening
all them, I just need you to pray that today
Jamus Winston is delivered from them pick sixes that he's throwing.
Lord off, I just asked you to touch him today. Now,

(17:24):
can y'all throw a little bit offering in that plate?

Speaker 1 (17:26):
All?

Speaker 2 (17:27):
Ride past the plate past the plate.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
By the way, Trey Aklan was soffering time he was
going in on Deshaun Watson last night and they were
throwing up the comparisons the arts, how much saw wats
is like what one in six over the time that whatever?

Speaker 2 (17:46):
And then jameis is two and two and two Now
he's like two and three. But he ain't too far
off right now. Yeah, but man, that people people are trying.
I mean, maybe he's the main person. But isn't isn't
dirt kind of going on?

Speaker 6 (18:04):
Is?

Speaker 2 (18:04):
Is he in the casket? I mean it's an expensive casket.
Who ushawn, Oh, people throwing dirt on him. The dirt
is coming on him now. I don't know if it's
the dirt that's coming on them or them just looking
identifying the body going cold, but it's it don't look good. Well,
if he's there, you know, he's face down, that's for sure.

Speaker 6 (18:27):
What you mean.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
But it is Two Pros and a Cup of Joe.
Fox Sports. You got to get there, Brady Quinn, Jonas
Sports Massages.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
We are.

Speaker 1 (18:40):
We are gonna have the usuals coming up later on.
We do have another edition of In case you missed it.
We're also going to have a h an early look
ahead some predictions for the college football playoff rankings that
will come out later on tonight.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
Pete Prisco is gonna stop by.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
You know, he's got plenty of material with some of
the performances of players he's been very critical of in
the NFL over the weekend, and then we were going
to close up shop with Lee's leftovers. All of it
is yours again on this three hour extravaganza hear from
the tire rack dot Com studios. But you can call
it one team in the NFL season's over.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
We'll get into that for you right here on FSR.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
Fox Sports Radio LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas NOx.

Speaker 6 (19:35):
With the here.

Speaker 2 (19:37):
Just go ahead, enjoy that soda. Huh.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
About twenty minutes from now, we're going to tell you
about how the cost of sports these days makes people
do amazing things to try and get around having to
pay those prices. So we'll get into that for you
again coming up here a little about twenty minutes from
now here from the ti rack dot com studios.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
So it's over for the forty nine. That'll go ahead
and conclude this season for we needed to wait till
Tuesday to say that.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
So Christian McCaffery, he's got the PCL injury that he
suffered not on the play where he ran and collapsed
to the ground and then you know, had to run
like his leg exploded.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
Did you see that video of him put it in
in slow motion?

Speaker 5 (20:20):
Yeah, I guess his whole calf and everything, right, it
looked like it exploded a lot of people thought it
was that a killes after that, the calf issues, he's
been doing what it looked like, Yeah, he guess it
happened to play before.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
Yeah, he banged his knee on the turf. Yeah, and
then you know, so that didn't go well.

Speaker 5 (20:35):
Jordan Mason's had that injury, man.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
And so that injury is just you bang it on
something hard.

Speaker 5 (20:41):
And then we're not banging on something hard, just that
you twist. Oh so your knee has a you know,
your L c L, your PCL, your A c L.
You know, you twist it bended a certain way and
you tear one of those ligaments, it becomes unstable. But
the hard thing about the PCL is that's not an
injury that you go and repair. So it's gonna take

(21:03):
some time. That's why he's done for the season. Like
there's no way he'll be able to come back in
my opinion. And ben Bill baywhere close to what he was.

Speaker 1 (21:10):
And then Jordan Mason, who's been good in filling in
for Christian McCaffrey, he got a high ankle sprain so
he's gone too.

Speaker 2 (21:17):
So a tough one.

Speaker 1 (21:18):
It's just you know, one of those years, man, and
I just we've kind of thrown this out before, but
is it just this year or is this window that
the forty nine ers had closed based on two opportunities
to get to the Super Bowl last year with an
opportunity to win the Super Bowl come up short. Now

(21:39):
they're dealing with the year after and the fallout and
the injuries and all the stuff off the field, and
it just feels like they're in a tough spot. The
saving grace, I guess would be the division. Nobody's really
running away with it. But the future looks a little
murky for Sanfran there.

Speaker 5 (21:57):
They have heading into twenty twenty five, based on the contracts,
that they've got the oldest roster in the NFL. And
I know we've talked about that before because Jonas Will
speculated and kind of thrown on different ones, but this
is if all stays the same based on their current
salary cap. But they also have the tenth fewest amount

(22:19):
of salary cap. So they're going to be in a
tough spot because this is a roster that has some
stars on it, and they've got to decide if they're
going to keep some of these guys moving forward, if
they can restructure it. They've got to extend brock party
or I think they do. I mean, the tough thing
is is between some of his issues and he's played
well for the most part, but you know, he's had

(22:41):
some injury issues, and I think we look at him
in particular on the field with versus Josh Allen, and
you see a stark difference between a guy who I
think is gonna win win MVP and could win you
with Super Bowl. Where you know, Brock Party, I'm not
sure he's going to be able to elevate the level
will play everyone else side around him, and I soa

(23:02):
I oppose you the question this way. If Brock Purty
became a free agent, who's signing him? How much is
he making? Where is he going? Whether it be a
big demand?

Speaker 2 (23:12):
No, no, there wouldn't be a big demand for him,
but somebody would want him as a value proposition quarterback.
Where would he go? Eh?

Speaker 5 (23:24):
But that's my whole point is when we've talked about
other quarterbacks who have done what he've done, it's been
to a Super Bowl, and they become a free agent,
it's like no chance their team they're on is not
gonna let them become a free agent. And now I'm
not saying that the forty nine ers are going to
let Brock Purty become a free agent, but I think
it gives you a little bit of an idea in

(23:45):
regards to like where he stacks up next to some
of the best in the NFL, and I think there's
a lot of people who have a hard time being
critical and saying, yeah, he's not Josh Allen, he's not
Patrick Mahomes, he's not Lamar Jackson, he's not some of
these other quarterbacks that we see that are the shit.
MVP candidates can elevate the level of everyone else out
around them. He's not that he doesn't have the strongest arm.

(24:07):
You know, he doesn't. He's not the most athletics. There's
these qualities you see that you're like, okay, like that's
what makes him able to be a franchise guy, but
it's it's not on that level of those guys I
just mentioned. So I think that's the tough position that
San Francisco's in because party wants an extension. We all
know what these extensions cost, and so do you sign

(24:29):
him to one that's more economical, kind of like a
Daniel Jones, who you know, can you can get out
from underneath after a year or two. Even though you
kind of feel this way going into it, You're like,
I don't think this is gonna work out very well,
But I guess I guess you kind of have to
do it. I mean, we're gonna have Pete Prisco on
and I want you to listen for this phrase, You're

(24:49):
damned if you do, You're damned if you don't.

Speaker 2 (24:53):
Throw it out there.

Speaker 5 (24:55):
You're damned if you do, You're damned if you don't.
He's gonna he's going to say that when I asking
this question about Brock Purty. But moving on from that,
I just I throw that question out to you guys,
because I was thinking about this yesterday, is like, what
would the demand be like if you had Cousins, Rogers,

(25:15):
Watson Purty on the free agent market, Like, I don't
know who you're taking, who you're signing to a deal.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
Pretty because of youth, he's definitely more valuable to the
forty nine Ers than any other any other franchise.

Speaker 5 (25:30):
That's the best point. That's the best point because I'm
not talking about you can say youth, but I mean
he's been a league for a while now, and I'm
not talking about like, hey, we're five six years down
the road, because the problem with that thought process is
Jonas's youth. Sure, but if he's not doing anything for
you in the next two years, you're not going to
have a job you're moving on.

Speaker 1 (25:50):
I just think and we threw this out with all
the injuries stacked up, but this was really the year
for him to prove it, for it to prove his value.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
But to that being the point, that's a big point.
That's a big point you just made, though. I mean,
if you lose two out of europe Four major major weapons,
Kittle is able to really really have the type of
success that he's able to have when Deebo is in
the mix, when Ayuk is in the mix, and when

(26:20):
you added Christian McCaffrey, it went to a whole other
level just because there's so much, you know, so many
dimensions to being able to use a guy like McCaffrey
and Deebo Samuels along with having a one receiver in
Ayuk and having a true tight end. That created a
lot of balance for this team. So I give him
a little bit of grace on this because to say, well,

(26:42):
Brock Purdy didn't have a really good year this year,
he had his chance to prove it. Like, yes, he
did have his chance to prove it, And we did
add a conversation about him being able to show he
could win without having those guys present, and I get that,
but I also get if you lose those caliber of players.
There's a reason why McCaffrey got the contract that he did.
There's a reason why they eventually gave in and gave

(27:05):
I use the contract that he received. I just think
that not having them was a major key to him
not having and to this point for Kyle Shanahan to
not have a really, really good year. So to me,
I give him a little grace. I don't know if
the window is closing. It looks as though it's gonna
be tough, especially with the contract situations that that Q highlighted.

(27:30):
But I'm not going I'm not gonna write Kyle Shanahan off.
I'm not going to write to San Francisco forty nine
ers off in the future based off of them having
to try to overcome the magnitude of the players that
they lost due to injuries.

Speaker 1 (27:45):
I mean, John Lynch is aggressive, so you know, if
there's a move to be made, they're gonna be the
organization that'll be one of the first to knock on
the door and say let's make a move.

Speaker 2 (27:54):
So there is that hope for the Niners. But and
what moves are those?

Speaker 5 (27:58):
Yeah, that's the interesting thing.

Speaker 1 (28:00):
Where do you go Brandon Ayuk, By the way, his
knee injury was a significant knee injury, so it's not
like when he comes back next year, it's a he's right, Yeah,
I don't know, like there's gonna be some time obviously
for him to adjust.

Speaker 2 (28:17):
And McCaffrey's older. He did it early though, so he's
had I mean how early was it like week two,
week three something? No later than that? Sure, yeah, yeah,
a little later than that, but it's samed early. Yeah,
it's uh. I don't know the technology on these these
injuries anymore, you know, like ACL and major injuries that

(28:40):
would have ended your career back in the day, or
you're coming back in like a year now. I don't
even know if it's sooner than that. I mean, y'all
were talking about Aaron Rodgers coming back from an achilles
injury and Achilles and Achilles tended injury in the same season,
you know, so you just never know. You never know.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
Mike, I'm back and do really hangovers man, super Bowl hangovers?

Speaker 5 (29:03):
Super Bowl hangovers showing us.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
The Chiefs and the Patriots are the only ones immune
to it. Everybody else that's it.

Speaker 5 (29:11):
Super Bowl hangovers?

Speaker 2 (29:12):
What do they both have in common?

Speaker 5 (29:14):
Speak of super Bowl hangovers? How are Lee's hangovers after
a super Bowl?

Speaker 2 (29:19):
After a super Bowl? They're pretty bad? Like violent? No, no,
you know, like headaches and diarrhea and all that stuff. Damn.
Then it's not that bad. No, it's not that bad ass,
all right, because when I'm hungover, I got headaches. I

(29:39):
feel like I was jumped, like people were beat me
up on my sides and I got to go to
the restroom. And it's not it's not like ploppers. It's
it's just like, you know, it's not good. You got jumped.
I feel like I got like when I do it,
like I got for right this past wh who did it?

(30:04):
I drank a bottle of mask I ain't going on
that field, Hey, listen, I ain't going on that field
in state college this past weekend. And I was in
them sweets and I was living that sweet life and
I got fried. I was fried right along with the
rest from Fried Nitney Lyons. We was fried walking.

Speaker 5 (30:20):
You didn't go on that serengetti, is what you're saying.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
You did? On the flight? I was, yeah, that lady
was coughing all on me.

Speaker 5 (30:30):
Sneezing talking about it. Poor lady.

Speaker 7 (30:33):
Bro.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
It just it disgusted me.

Speaker 5 (30:36):
I mean, she's closer to the end of her life.
It looks like you are complaining about it.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
It looked like it, bro, But don't don't take me
with you. I ain't ready to go. Lord Jesus, if
you're listening, deliver me from pick sixes and this confinanced
lady on this planet.

Speaker 5 (30:54):
Mean, look, maybe you'll find a pastor who will co
sign a Jabis and be like, no, Ja, you ask
the Lord, he will deliver. He cares about your pick sixes.
He cares.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
Hey, you're right, maybe you'll.

Speaker 5 (31:07):
Find a pastor.

Speaker 2 (31:10):
It's not going to be hard. There's a pastor whoever.
Listen to us right now. It's like, you're right, Jesus
is in everything. I'm sure he is. I'm sure I'm
going that's going on.

Speaker 5 (31:24):
I mean, we who are who are we to question?
And i'mnipotent being I just I sit back and I go, like,
when when I hear guys pray before games and you know,
all those things that you'd say, and you're like, yeah,
when I get my turn to pray for the team,
I'm not going to ask for that because I don't
think God cares, you know, like I'm going to go

(31:46):
a different route.

Speaker 2 (31:47):
I used to always sit there and be like, I
wonder when we're praying, Like if we're praying at the
same time, what is like is Jesus looking at the
other team, like I like their colors better than the Like,
how do you decide which team you're going? Because both
teams out the end want to win, Like Jesus, can
we win this game? Like which one does he choose?
You know, like which one or excuse me, which one

(32:09):
is chosen by Jesus? You know, you gotta be politically correct. Yeah,
you know, I don't know what Jesus, just how Jesus
uses the whole decision making process on when the team
prays for the same exact thing and they're playing each other,
not to mention all the other games that are going on,
and their prayers are going up properly.

Speaker 5 (32:29):
And my guess is Jamis praise more a little bit,
or at least if he does, it is a louder.
I mean, everyone's gonna hear him.

Speaker 2 (32:35):
So I would love to hear Jamis pray to Jesus
by himself, not to not with the team, like his
like bedtime prayers and stuff, or like his morning affirmations.
I would love to hear his conversa.

Speaker 5 (32:49):
Study's so thankful for like the little things we take
for granted.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
Oh, I mean he's that.

Speaker 5 (32:56):
I had them today. They were delicious. I drank the
milk afterwards. It was also delicious. Thank you, Lord for
blessing me for this day.

Speaker 2 (33:04):
Thank you for that that delivered that that milk.

Speaker 5 (33:07):
The cal the grass that you great, and then for.

Speaker 2 (33:12):
The farmer who took care of Thank you.

Speaker 5 (33:14):
For General Mills for coming up with that little elf
whoever makes them fruity pebbles, and of the thank you.
Thank you to mister Mills and mister General for getting
together and making that company make that sweet cereal. Hasn't
that the diabetes? Yes, Lord, but deliver us from diabetes.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
Deliver you can deliver it from all things.

Speaker 5 (33:34):
And deliver us from that.

Speaker 1 (33:35):
And Lord, most importantly, oh, thank you for making the
guy in front of me on the death shot.

Speaker 2 (33:40):
A weirdo, because it gives me a chance. We got
to get him. Thank you Jesus for making even weird out. Hey, Lee,
can we get James West? Please? All right? I think

(34:01):
that'll happen. I'll pray for it all right, there you go.
That's a shot fire, right.

Speaker 5 (34:06):
But you're right, speaking of we all we should be
playing praying for Lee. Pray for Wide, for anyone who
needs to be prayed for its Lee. I do pray
for some of this Lee Matten is going on around here,
you Jonasy, prayer for Lee.

Speaker 2 (34:19):
Yeah, of course that's good Man's Spanish. I mean, I'm
assuming that's what I'm doing. You know, we'll see.

Speaker 6 (34:30):
It.

Speaker 2 (34:30):
Shuts out to Nias Williams, man the legend, one of
the goats. But he's sitting there left, said Lord Jesus,
we just want to see a great game. That's out
to you. That was a g I mean he's still
a grown man, but man, talk about a grown man

(34:52):
on the field.

Speaker 3 (34:53):
Bro.

Speaker 2 (34:53):
Now that he was in Serengetti, Bro, he was good. Yes,
he was.

Speaker 2 (36:41):
Missed it, and for that we turn it over to
our executive producer, Lea.

Speaker 8 (36:46):
Lab Good morning, everybody, Good morning, Jonas, Good morning, Brady,
Good morning, LeVar, Hey guys, in case you miss this,
Hey Uvar morning, Hey guys, in case you missed this,
Hey Brady. That Texas A and m Texas game from
Saturday happened to be the most expensive regular season football
ticket on record both NFL and college football, with the

(37:07):
average purchase price being just over one thousand dollars. That
led to two fans going to the extreme to get
themselves some fluoresce invests, some fake credentials, some hard hats
in a way that got them to be able to
sneak into the game just to be able to get
arrested for criminal trespassing.

Speaker 2 (37:28):
Man wow yep arrested, criminal trust rest rested.

Speaker 8 (37:38):
I've seen some guys get into a concert by carrying
their own keg, saying they're like delivery guys.

Speaker 2 (37:43):
Delivering a keg to one.

Speaker 5 (37:44):
Of those You saw some guys do that.

Speaker 8 (37:47):
That was you with Todd I have I've floated that
out there. You got to invest into it. But if
you get kicked out or I hope you get to
keep the keg and party out in the or.

Speaker 2 (37:57):
Get a free ride, you know, get a free Uber
rat in the back of its squad card. Yeah, however,
whatever I mean, it worked out.

Speaker 1 (38:04):
I guess, by the way, what the hell was Texas
A and M doing at the goal line there on
that fourth down?

Speaker 5 (38:09):
I don't know. Tell us, Jonas what were they doing?

Speaker 2 (38:12):
I don't know. I'm still trying to figure that out.
What were they doing? Jonah should have kicked the field goals?
What they should have done?

Speaker 5 (38:17):
There you go.

Speaker 2 (38:18):
But you know, well, there you go, coach Jonas Lee.
What else we got? Well?

Speaker 8 (38:23):
Azizau Shaier did issue an apology on social media for
his hit on Trevor Lawrence, saying I genuinely didn't see
him sliding until it was too late, and it all
happened in the blink of an eye.

Speaker 2 (38:33):
Following that, Tamiko Ryan had this to say.

Speaker 8 (38:36):
Short small snippet of what Tomiko Ryan's had to say
about the slide as well.

Speaker 2 (38:40):
It's twofold, right.

Speaker 9 (38:41):
I mean a lot of the quarterbacks in this day
and age, they try to take advantage of the rule
where they slide late and they try to.

Speaker 5 (38:48):
Get an extra yard.

Speaker 2 (38:49):
And now you're a defender.

Speaker 9 (38:51):
A lot of oners is on the defender, right, whether
it's on the sideline or where it's on the quarterback.
You don't know what a guy's thinking. You don't know
if a guy standing up and he's continuing to run,
you don't know.

Speaker 5 (39:02):
And then you get a late slne and you're.

Speaker 9 (39:04):
You know, you hit the guy. Unfortunately that Trevor got hurt.
We want to hope Trevor is okay. But it's also
if we're sliding, we have to get down. If we're
getting out of bounds, we get out of bounds, and
that rule is there to protect the quarterbacks.

Speaker 2 (39:18):
There you go, yeah, this time, I'm a defensive guy
and I get it. You get it, Tomko And a
lot of what he's saying around, well, there's some validity
to it, but just not in that scenario. That man.
Even if that man was standing up, he was going
for pain. Like bro the way he extended that forearm,
like what what was you trying to do?

Speaker 6 (39:38):
What? What?

Speaker 2 (39:39):
And if he had stayed up, what were you going
to hit? What were you going to hit? Where his
head was was probably where his knees are and listen,
it's it would have been a legal hit, but with
that being said, it probably would look dirty because.

Speaker 5 (39:51):
It feels in defensible. He's got a track record, like,
I get it. He's his coach, stick it up for
his player. I mean, look, he's a former alignment.

Speaker 2 (39:58):
Thank you.

Speaker 5 (39:58):
He probably doesn't mind it, but it is what it is.
It's it's outlawed. He should be suspended.

Speaker 2 (40:04):
Yeah, I didn't mind, but I didn't mind. I did mine,
but I didn't mind.
