Two Pros and a Cup of Joe. Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington, Jonas Knox with you here. Coming up on
this Football Friday edition of Black and Drag. We've got
a punishment handed out in the NFL. What does it
do for the potential Hall of Fame bid for not
only him, but somebody else in the league. We will discuss.
We're also going to have a discussion about how tempers
(00:20):
seem to be flaring a little bit more than usual
in Major League Baseball, and we've got a theory and
it's got a little bit to do with something called
camp Buy. Plus, we're going to talk about news and
notes from around the NFL, including some criticism, some honest
criticism of Mike Tomlin. We've got the very latest edition
of the Topic Roundup. We're also going to celebrate a
(00:41):
coach and a GM who deserved the extension they got. Plus,
we've got another edition of In case you missed it,
and Lee's Leftovers. It's all yours coming up next here,
Two Pros and a cup of Joe on a Football Friday,
Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. Fucking Drack.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
We're back and we're bad, sucking blood in the dark.
Can't see me. I'm camouflage, but drack is flying. Yeah,
waits things want to sucking blood out your neck?
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Yeah, sucking blood. You know what I was telling uh?
I was telling Petros yesterday. We were talking about Little League,
and I'm like, man, I'll bet my kids day night
splits are gonna be wild because he'll probably just refuse
the player in the day, but at night is a winner.
(02:03):
Rank Fred Fatten six sixty with like seventy five home runs,
but during the day nowhere to be found. Disappear hanging
upside down on the dugoutang waiting for the sun to
go down.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
Tang, Well, that sun can be a doozy, sure kid,
UV was up there yesterday too, like like seven or
eight yesterday.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
It is two Pros and a Cup of Joe Here
on Fox Sports Radio, another edition of Black and Drag.
Here on a football Friday. It'll be LeVar, Arrington and
Here taking you all the way up until nine am
Eastern time, six o'clock Pacific. You can listen to this
show as always on the iHeartRadio app and on hundreds
of affiliates all across the country. What Up Sticks, What's Up? Man,
(02:53):
you're watching some horse racing. Apparently that's crazy. Bro.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
I never thought Chris Jones would be outdone, but this
one clearly puts Chris Jones in an easy second, easy second,
and it's uncomfortable. First, I'll tell you that. You just
see the one I said it to you too, leeve
you see the one that I sent you. It's it's uh,
(03:19):
let's just say. You don't really pay attention to how
obvious it is when you're watching horse racing, but when
you watch regular racing like sprinters racing, and that happens,
it's noticeable. Ohn very uncomfortable. So I didn't make it
(03:41):
all the way through. I didn't make it to the
finish line. I'll tell you that, but it was I
heard it was a valiant effort though. Yeah, you know
he went a hit and still won the race even
though he had a uniform malfunction.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
Yeah. I believe the name is Chris Robinson, us track
star who did win a race and he want to race.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
I mean he should have won a race. He ran
three legs. I mean, he definitely has horse power.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
He should run the race. Expect guy's got a leg up.
All the competence the leg up and the foot. I mean,
that's what he should do. Sorry for having, you know,
higher expectations for certain people here on this show, Paul Jeeves.
It just makes you want pause.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
It just makes you wonder. How do cats wear anything
but like onesies to run? You can't wear them blue
shorts when you're sprinting, man, when when you've run. Now,
now I just look at it differently. Now for all
these years, you know, he's just like you never paid
it really any mind, but that one forced you to
(04:49):
pay attention to the fact, like you got to pay
attention to what you're wearing when you're run.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
This is what I wonder because I know that racer,
like sprinters, swimmers, they're looking for an edge anyway they
can get it. And I've always I've always wondered about that,
Like swimmers will shave their armpits, and they'll shave their bodies. Yeah,
and the faces and everything. You mean, a little armpit
hair is gonna be the difference between you and in
a gold or a bronze probably more mental, you.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
Know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
Like it's all I know is I'm not a gazer.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
That's not something that I've ever been into, not not
my deal, not for s's and giggles, not for anything.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
For anything, I'm not a gazer.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
But that video that popped up, first of all, just
like the Chris Jones joint, it's just kinda it's like
seeing road kill. You see that that smashed up bird
or or squirrel on the side of the road, and
it's close to you and you can look at it
and you can see it. Then you look and you
(05:54):
see they.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
Gotta be his a B. That's cold blood. Just for
that's cold blooded. Just just a little friendly reminder for
people that are doing the AI grock images of black
and drag. LeVar is an actual, living, breathing black band
(06:17):
with credentials, and it's very easy to find pictures of
him on the internet. You can make me any kind
of Dracula you want. That's fine. A Levar's known. Okay.
So like these people are putting up these grock images
of random black guys in white beaters.
Speaker 3 (06:33):
I love it personally. And I said, by the way, yeah,
white white beater.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
Just to be clear, gold chains like this cold bludd
I look like a yes.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
Anyway, I just that that that footage that popped up,
it's it's uh It's just a reminder that the the
pressures and the things that as you mentioned, to compete
at the highest of levels to try to win, and
the things that we don't generally think about that could
possibly happen, and then his ability his resilience to be
(07:10):
able to tuck, like you know, throttle down, maybe just
a little bit tuck, go back to trying to get
to top end speed.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
I believe they were hurdling too, weren't they. It was
a hurdles race, and I think he tumbled at the
unintentional well, I mean because at that point he's like,
you know it would be intentionally.
Speaker 3 (07:30):
I mean clearly, if something like that gets the moving
around with no you have no type of you know
it being you know, kind of secured, it's going to
throw you off off balance.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
The momentum of them, like like when you're when dudes
are running, like sometimes dudes be hitting off of each
leg like it'd be like lag lag lag lag lag lag,
and then as they're speeding up, it's like like like
leg Like.
Speaker 1 (07:59):
I feel horrible, I'm saying, but always thought to myself,
how can you be fast if you got to carry
all that?
Speaker 3 (08:07):
Like you said, you get rid of the hair on
your arms and stuff like that. Whatever, How are you
that fast if you have to carry something like that?
Speaker 1 (08:16):
Literally the tail wagging the dog. Yeah yeah, literally yeah
and still one and still one, and it tumbled at
the end. It was uncomfortable, though, man, but it was
funny as male. How can it be uncomfortable and funny
all at the same time? It was though, well, listen,
I do know this. It's time we transition to something
(08:38):
that that's going to be a little bit more. He
was transitioning more of a mature conversation. Okay, a mature discussion, right,
Justin Tucker? Okay, geez, that's not mature at all. Former
Ravens kicker Justin Tucker was suspended for the first ten
weeks of the regular season after the NFL found he
violated the league's personal conduct policy. Now, this goes back
(09:03):
to his issues and the allegations that he was inappropriate
at multiple massage parlors in and around the Baltimore area
from I believe twenty twelve to twenty sixteen. No, that
was not him after a game winner, but Justin Tucker.
They did the investigation, They looked into it, and they
(09:25):
tried to see, all right, so is there something to
these stories, something to these reports. And you talk to
certain people in Baltimore and they're like, yeah, this has
been rumblings about this stuff for years and years and
years that there was allegations and people like whispering about
and what brought this on? And you know, there was
(09:47):
Jerry Coleman, who covers the Ravens and Baltimore Sports does
a phenomenal job. Listener to the program, He's fantastic. Jerry
pointed out that what brought the conversations up was not
because people thinking, well, you know, did he know these
were allegations were coming out and that's why he struggled
last year. No, what brought the topic up was people wondering, God,
(10:09):
why is he struggling? Maybe he should go back to
his old ways. Oh wow, And that's what sparked up
all of the details and the allegations and the revelations
and the rumors started again, and that's why this became
a story. So, nonetheless, he gets suspended for the first
ten games of the season. If he were to sign
with the team, he could attend training camp and play
(10:31):
in preseason games before the suspension starts August twenty sixth.
He's eligible for reinstatement November eleventh. The NFL says.
Speaker 3 (10:39):
They clearly found something that they didn't like in looking
through the information about him, and I don't you know,
it doesn't really mention anything about legal action. I don't
think at this point, I don't think so, yeah, don't.
I don't think I saw that and anything that I've
looked up into this. But if the NFL suspended that
(11:03):
man for such a substantial amount of time, like you
even look at the Deshaun Watson on one game less
and and while Watson settled and maintains his innocence, if
if this was a matter of him getting shook down,
I just don't think the NFL is going to make
(11:25):
it an example of or or create a standard where
its employees can be extorted, because that's what that would be,
is extortion, is what it is. You're dictating what the
working health of of that that employee is by making
(11:45):
these these claims, especially obviously if they were to consider
it to be false claims. So the NFL can't just
be loosely throwing out ten game, you know, multiple multiple
of games of of suspension. If they don't feel like
there's something warranted to issue out because that is a
(12:07):
very very stiff penalty. That's half the season. More so,
it's more than half, but you know what I'm saying,
it's half of the season gone. And so to me,
you don't want to put the league in a situation
where any type of dealings can easily be leveraged by
(12:28):
those who wish to gain from it. All you gotta do,
say this happened, boom, the NFL has to act. You
gotta believe some type of civil suits are coming now
that you got a suspension from the league. Maybe that
that's a good enough case for a Busby or you know,
(12:50):
another lawyer out there to do a lawsuit against a
collection of lawsuits against Tucker to get a settlement.
Speaker 1 (13:00):
It happened with Deshaun Watson. Don't know how much.
Speaker 3 (13:03):
They got out of it, but you gotta believe it's
in the seven figures. You gotta believe it's in the
seventh figures somewhere.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
So yeah, So to.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
Me, you don't want if I'm the NFL, you don't
want to just take these these matters lightly, not only
from the standpoint of if it really happened, But imagine
if it didn't happen. Now, you gotta you like that
fine tooth comb has got to be handled so well
(13:33):
with so much care, because you are in a situation
where the decisions that you make as a governing body
are ultimately going to dictate how things have to be
handled in the future based upon what these guys are
doing in their spare time and how it's being interpreted
by the people who they're spending this time with.
Speaker 1 (13:56):
So, Tucker's representative released the following statement after the NFL
decision to suspend him for the first ten weeks of
the season. Quote, we are disappointed with the NFL's decision.
Justin has always strived to carry himself in a way
that would make his family and community proud. He stands
by his previous statements. In order to put this difficult
episode behind him and get back on the field as
soon as possible, we've advised Justin to accept this resolution
(14:19):
and close this metha. Accept the resolution we just code for, Hey,
we got no shot here be can't we got no shot?
I mean, we can continue to try and you know,
deny this and all that, but there's got to be
some decent amount of evidence that would suggest that these
allegations have some validity to.
Speaker 3 (14:37):
Them, which now leads to you better give an agreement
to any of these people that have, you know, make
the claims against you, and get that NDA signed, and
get an agreement signed so you can put it to
bid and move on from it, so there's no further embarrassment,
there's no further coverage because all it does is continue
(14:59):
to damn. It's his brand, but it's collateral damage as well,
because it damages the National Football League's brand as well.
Guilty by association, and the league has to know that,
and they have to understand that these are very delicate situations,
and it's taking place in a time where the delicacy
(15:20):
of handling, you know, things of this nature are at
a high premium. You cannot miss and mess around with
these types of scenarios. And while I say the NFL
is big enough as a brand and as a commodity
to be able to overcome most anything, it's the slow drip.
(15:43):
It's the chipping away. It's like, wait, hold on, when
I heard one, it was one thing, even if you
made it racial, like there was one he was black racist, Okay, right,
then you could try to make it a justification like
you had one digit human being and whatever it is,
your preconceived notions of how that racial group and particularly
(16:07):
handles things, you can try to get some some closure
on it as a fan. But but Justin Tucker, him,
But Justin Tucker, if that was what you were trying
to run with, and you felt good about it, and
you wanted to create this divide as if you were different,
you were better than what we are lo and behold,
(16:28):
Justin Tucker's not only the one that evened up the field,
but he is a high end high like he's you know,
he's he's a golf damage. That's as high level white
dude as you get in the guy, clean cut looking dude,
put numbers, put a Hall of Fame career. That's the
(16:49):
one that throws you for a loop, like wait, Justin Tucker?
Speaker 1 (16:52):
Yeah no, I mean you know, how how did this happen? Listen?
I got I gotta tell you. And speaking for my
fellow white people, we were we were just I mean,
he gives us really a bad look because we thought,
to your point that man, at least we could say
that we at least that's our one up on the
whole situation, and now everybody's doing it. You know, it's like,
(17:15):
let's know, it's no longer the racial barriers have been
completely broken, and now we've got one black. And actually,
if you think about it, we've been mixing Robert crafts. Oh,
the whites are up two to one, are up to one.
So there's the best of seven. Somebody's got to step
their game up on your head and tang just letting
you know, I don't think we can compete with that.
When you throw Robert Kraft into the scenario, I think
(17:36):
that just pushes it out of reach for us to
be able to outrank you on what we're doing. Just
saying that's one that y'all got. Y'all got it in state.
So we've already lost. You've already lost, haven't.
Speaker 3 (17:49):
I mean, how many thanks, guys, how many how many
dudes will have to mess up for to quate the
mess up that Robert Craft is. It's man, it's I
mean you put there too, which I don't think there's
Is there a mug shot of Robert Kraft, Probably not
of of Tucker, but maybe a Craft.
Speaker 1 (18:09):
I think he was smoking a cigarette.
Speaker 3 (18:11):
Was he really Oh, man, that'd be funny as hell,
But I just you know, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (18:18):
Man.
Speaker 3 (18:18):
It just again, on a more serious note, you can't
take these matters lightly. If you're the NFL, you have
to move in a way that shows that you're distancing
yourself from the person that that is being a degenerate.
Which that did not happen with Kraft, but you know,
that's another topic for another day. But but they did.
(18:43):
They did give a harsh, stiff penalty to Tucker, which
probably will effectively end his career. I would assume, I
don't know that he becomes a little radioactive, so I mean.
Speaker 1 (18:56):
Get another shot.
Speaker 3 (18:56):
In fact, oh wait, thought, I mean, well, you did
say he gets another shot, so we know I did
say it his career before he say he gets another shot.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
All right, three teams are out for sure on Justin Tucker. Obviously,
the Ravens, the Browns, and the Patriots can't do it.
I mean they probably want to.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
The Browns definitely will not catch, and the Patriots can.
The Patriots cannot.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
Okay, we just brought that up. I mean, you couldn't
even bring up robber Craft stuff, you know, at the
Tom Brady Roast without Tom Brady getting a red ass
about it. So like, that's so clearly those teams are out.
But look, if he's going to be ready in November
and there's a team out there with kicking issues and
we're talking about arguably the greatest kicker of all time,
(19:43):
at that point, I could see them justifying this stuff
with look, we understand, we get it. But if you
go back, these allegations were from twenty sixteen, I mean,
these were a long time ago. He's a different person.
He's a change man looking for a long time ago.
Speaker 3 (20:01):
And it just came out and you just got caught
for it and you got punished for it.
Speaker 1 (20:06):
That hits differently with fan bases. It's like, when you
hear something being speculated about, you're tolerant of it. When
it actually comes out and it's being discussed in the open,
it's not as tolerable, and it's just a horribly bad look.
Speaker 3 (20:26):
The conduct when it goes into that realm of being
inappropriate sexually towards people, it's just never going to land well.
You put your hands on a woman, it's not going
to land well. You you do things against their will,
it's just not going to land well.
Speaker 1 (20:47):
It's a it's a full contact sport.
Speaker 3 (20:50):
Dudes are big, they're strong, they come in all different
shapes and sizes and racial backgrounds. There's just too much
connected two and too much at stake for the reputation.
You can't come across as Neanderthals or guys that just
can't handle themselves emotionally, can't control themselves emotionally and physically
(21:14):
when it comes down to the opposite sex or the
same in twenty twenty five, it's just not.
Speaker 1 (21:21):
A good look.
Speaker 3 (21:22):
I wouldn't be surprised if we never see him play
on a team again. Who's going Why is it worth
taking a hit, risking the reputation of the team by
bringing him in based off of why he's out in
the first pa.
Speaker 1 (21:37):
Cause I think you're maybe not giving enough credence to
teams like to win games. And if he's won a
lot of games for Baltimore, and so I'll ask you this,
do you believe it's more likely he's brought back in
season or in the offseason, because I think it's probably
more likely that teams don't want to deal with the
distraction that late in the year, and if you're struggling
(21:59):
at the caseer position. Maybe you make a move, you know,
to sign somebody else that's not going to have as
much blowback in the year when you've already got turmoil
at the position and it turns in all sorts of drawings.
I just don't know how there's no blowback. I could
I could see a team in the off season being like,
all right, we've got an off season to figure out
the messaging, deal with all the questionings, deal with a
(22:20):
whole questioning.
Speaker 3 (22:21):
Yeah, I know you're going to say it's because they
want to win, but why would you why would you
concern yourself with doing that? It's just to me, I
think the risk reward of bringing in a guy that
brings that type of radio activity to the to the
equation is that's not a touchable that's not a touchable commodity.
Speaker 1 (22:43):
Depends on who you ask.
Speaker 3 (22:45):
I mean, I don't disagree with you thinking that way,
and I'm sure teams will possibly kick that around, But
you're risking, like again, you make a decision like that,
you're risking the fallout of what it could be and
how do you take that back?
Speaker 1 (23:00):
So for remember matt Erizah matte Eriza, who is the
punter for Kansas City. Now, if you remember those allegations
that came out when he was at San Diego State,
I believe he was called the punt God, and all
of a sudden, these allegations came out I think the
off season after he was drafted, and nobody would really
(23:20):
go near him until Kansas City waited for everything to
calm down, and they ended up bringing him back. He's
too big a name, Justin Tucker. Yeah, it's too big
a name. I could see it in the off season.
So that listen, we've we've called our shot. And this
is not me defending Justin Tucker. I don't want people
to get to get upset or to get offended. I
(23:42):
just don't get.
Speaker 3 (23:43):
I just don't get why you would take the chance
like that is that is such a big deal that
your team could possibly get get canceled, or the GM
could get canceled, or the head coach could get canceled.
And now what if that turns into a thing. I mean, look,
they took Mike Vick back, you know what I mean,
(24:05):
And Mike vic that's against all odds. I mean, you
want to talk about not wanting somebody back in the league,
the fans did not want him back in the league.
Speaker 1 (24:14):
I mean you remember the protests. It was bad. Oh
my god, people, it.
Speaker 3 (24:18):
Was very very I mean it was bad, like you
would have thought we were in a different time period.
Speaker 1 (24:23):
I actually think if that happened now, maybe he doesn't
get it out. He can't. He can't.
Speaker 3 (24:30):
Yeah, it's too much the social media, the way things
are covered, the way it's circulated.
Speaker 1 (24:36):
Remember Riley Cooper, Yeah, I mean Riley Cooper dropping an
ND bomb at a concert. And I think he's still
maintained on the team. And I think he got a
contract extension. He did, he did, he did. It's not
a shot, but he didn't last long as that.
Speaker 3 (24:55):
Just Yeah, I just don't think you can get away
with those things because if if you sign him, here's
the risk you run if you sign him.
Speaker 1 (25:08):
What comes?
Speaker 3 (25:09):
Like you're like, can you imagine how the Browns feel
after really getting involved with Deshaun Watson? Like you gotta
be sitting there, like I got over two hundred million
invested in this man. What's going to happen next? You're
just waking up every morning one of your morning checklists,
questions to yourself in the mirror while you're brushing your
teeth and shaving your neck and all that stuff. Is
(25:31):
something going to pop up on Deshaun Today.
Speaker 1 (25:33):
Andrew Berry's calling around massage parlors in Cleveland, going, did
you see him? I was he there? Did you guys
see him? Anybody looked like him? Security? Did you? Did
you guys? Tell him Brown's apparel? Okay, about this tall?
Why would you want to live? Like?
Speaker 3 (25:49):
Why would you want to have to do all of
those things? I just don't see it being worth it
for any organization to take that chance.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
Yeah, well we will, we will. Wait, he might be done.

get that Black Eye and Dracula?
Speaker 3 (27:57):
And why I gotta have gold chains? Even know I
do wear gold chains.
Speaker 1 (28:04):
It's just ridiculous. You got a medallion on too, though.
Speaker 4 (28:08):
M hmm.
Speaker 1 (28:09):
Yeah, man, you know got to come dressed to the
nines if you're going to be Dracula. By the way,
we did miss this earlier and wanted to make sure
that we pointed it out because this is important. It's
a football Friday here right, bar, It's Friday, Bar Saturday.
(28:45):
I got, I got big. I was like, all right,
all right, all right, let's do it for Eddie. Let's
do it for Eddie.
Speaker 3 (29:00):
Hey, Friday night is a football Friday, Football Friday.
Speaker 1 (29:08):
Rock the suck it cut in score. You can feel
it now? What happened there?
Speaker 2 (29:18):
Day?
Speaker 1 (29:19):
Bad newsbeer?
Speaker 3 (29:21):
You're just so close.
Speaker 1 (29:24):
It is two pros and a cup of joe here
on Fox was butchered up? Yeah geez see, all right,
though you know we stand by each other here on
this show. No we don't. What do you mean for yourself?
Damn Friday, Oh my gosh, it is time also for
the entire act play the day.
Speaker 5 (29:46):
And Otani swings HiT's a drive dick right center field,
way back to the wall and ask God a home
run show, Hey, old Tony home run number twenty eight
and the the show.
Speaker 1 (30:00):
Rolls on in Denver. By the way, we will get
to the That is courtesy of the Blowtorch AM five
to seventy LA Sports on the Call Dodgers Radio Network.
For over forty years, ti Iraq has been helping customers
find the right tires for how, what and where they drive.
Shift Fast and freeback by free Road has a protection
with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation tire iraq
dot Com the way tire buying should be. So we
(30:22):
are going to get to this story in the NFL,
I want to make sure we have more time for it.
Where an NFL team decided, you know what, We're going
to reward some people because they could actually figure it out,
unlike some other organization in the league. We'll get into that.
That'll happen for you. Top of next hour. I was
thinking about this though, because we've talked about it when
it comes to training camp and football, and when the
(30:44):
heat starts to become a problem and you're seeing the
same player over and over again, whether it's teammate, whether
it's you know, then you start to see joint practices,
you start to see the fights start to ratchet up, right,
And I think a lot of that has to do
with the heat, right, Like, you're just uncomfortable. It's training camp,
you're tired of it, you need a break, and then
(31:07):
the fights start to happen.
Speaker 3 (31:08):
Well, you're talking about the most competitive people being put
in competitive scenarios playing out every day. Yeah, So when
you're around each other in the locker rooms, you're around
each other in the meeting rooms, you're around each other
on the practice field, you're around each other in the
weight room, you're around each other in the training room.
(31:32):
First of all, the level of key keying that goes
on is ridiculous, Like it's ridiculous how much people pick
with one another and say wild things to one another
or do weird things to want to mak locker room.
Locker room culture is very real, and it can be
fun for some funny for others, and it can be
(31:55):
terrifying for others. And so just depending on what side
of it you you know, fall on. But I say
all of that to say, when you get out on
the football field, the one thing that football players know,
especially like the more volent ones, they understand that you
get way more grace being able to just live free
(32:18):
on the practice field then you would ever get anywhere else.
You bang somebody, like bang with somebody in the locker room,
you're going to get in trouble. You're probably gonna get fined.
You do it in the all those all those places
I named outside of the practice field, you're going to
get in trouble. But for some strange reason, if you're
on the field and it's during practice and it's within
(32:41):
the spirit of practice, it's just like it's it's it's
no different than the riverside when somebody blows a lag
out or blows up a finger or whatever it may be,
and it's just like, hey, turn it around, sanctioned violence
going you really get you're you're really able to blow
that type of steam off with very little to no
(33:01):
repercussions being connected to it, and it gives the player
it gives the player a false sense of security to
be able to kind of do things that you would
never be able to do in a regular workplace.
Speaker 1 (33:15):
So the reason I bring it up is because I've
noticed over the past couple of weeks there's been an
uptick in bench clearing situations a major league beyond like
you're seeing multiple times over benches are cleared. Nobody's really
thrown punches yet, but for I mean obvious, didn't intentionally
throw at somebody, but accidentally hit a player, And you
(33:39):
see the benches clear when it's obvious based on pitch count,
game situation, you're not trying to hit anybody, it was
an accident. You're seeing benches clear, you're seeing arguing between
the dugouts. You saw something before the game. I think
it was the Angels in the Red Sox a little
while back. And I just wonder if part of that
is there's this heat wave going on in the Midwest
and all across the country where people are getting blasted
(34:00):
with really hot weather, and I just wonder if baseball
players are at the point to where they're like, listen, man,
we just need to get to the All Star break.
We're tired of this we're tired of seeing the same people.
It's hot as balls. This is a long ash year.
We play one hundred and sixty two games, and they're
just at the point right now to where everybody just
needs a break. You're just fed up. And it just
(34:21):
reminds me of when you see training camp. It's usually
about a week or two weeks in that you start
to see the skirmishes come out, like you start to
see videos come out.
Speaker 3 (34:32):
You get that camp out, you get real irritated, and
agitations happen way easier.
Speaker 1 (34:39):
Camp aus. Listen, man, you know, hey man, look.
Speaker 3 (34:43):
Look and then it's like a mirage, bro like from
where you're staying, and it's like dang, like miss parkeram
miss parkerm Is Parker. And then when you get out
of camp you see that same person, you'd be like,
what the did? What the hell? And then they end
up being like your girlfriend, you end up dating them
(35:03):
or some something like that. They got over on you
on the camp.
Speaker 1 (35:07):
I dup.
Speaker 3 (35:09):
Like now you done got married, you got kids together,
all kinds of like dang. Camp I can win from
time to time. It has prevailed from time to time.
Many of people have benefited from being in the right
place at the right time in order to cash in
on on landing them an athlete. So it's generally either fighting,
(35:33):
you know, some type of misconduct. You blow it, blow
it out, like the energy out pause, like driving your
car fast like you'll see instances where guys are racing
their cars on the roads.
Speaker 1 (35:45):
Back to wherever they're going. These athletes do some of
the wildest ass based off of what you're talking about,
based off of being bored, based off of the practices,
not being stimulating enough, whatever it may be.
Speaker 3 (36:00):
And then they start acting out. And what kind of
eye you get? Oh the camp I, Damn the camp
I and the vets out there. That's the craziest thing.
The vets out there know that that's a real thing.
So all you gotta do is dress that pig up
just right, just high, put the makeup on it, and
(36:21):
you've won, because somebody gonna fall victim.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
You don't care which one it is. It could be
a fat, nasty lineman or it could be a pretty
boy at wide receiver.
Speaker 3 (36:32):
But you can cash in on Campi. It's a real thing.
Bait on the hook, bruh bite. You think that fish
is worried about if that that little bait fish is
contaminated or not. No, if I'm hungry and I want
to get it, what you're gonna do, You're gonna chomp
down on that bad boy. I'll worry about if it
tastes bad. If this was the right fish that chew on. Dang,
(36:55):
it's a hook in this, deal with it. I'm about
to get reeled into a boat. Like you don't care.
You gotta go ahead and get it. Yeah, that's where
you get in trouble. Just stay away from the camp i, y'all.
The real thing, and it leads to fights and inappropriate
actions like like Tucker deal, Like, oh, let me take
(37:15):
this camp out to the massage parlor, Toshaun Watson, let
me take this camp IU to the massage parlor. Come
over and hang with me. The campi is real. Oh
my gosh.
Speaker 1 (37:27):
You look at some of the main chicks these guys
be having, and then you look at what they've done
and who they got in trouble with, and you'd be like.
Speaker 3 (37:33):
Oh, that's camp I. It's one hundred light the way. Generally,
the camp i doesn't have two eyes, it's only one.
Speaker 1 (37:46):
Hey, that was a good bit.
Speaker 3 (37:48):
By the way, this was a really good bit. I
mean people might it might have been over some people's heads,
but this was a good bit.
Speaker 1 (37:56):
Just so just everybody's clear, you know, the one that
you wouldn't consider at eleven PM as opposed to the

Speaker 6 (39:32):
In case you missed this, Yesterday, Hamilton County and the
Bengals took a major step towards keeping the Bengals there
in downtown Cincinnati, approving a framework for a four hundred
and seventy million dollars agreement that will keep them in
pay Course Stadium through at least twenty thirty six, the
stadium that was first opened in two thousand.
Speaker 1 (39:49):
All Right, all right. See see then everyone talks about
doom and gloom when it comes to the Bengals. Look, yeah,
I mean they can't you know, pay all their players,
but at least you know they're you know.
Speaker 3 (40:00):
Oh they can pay them, they don't want to. You
gotta state it the right way.
Speaker 1 (40:04):
So there's certain players we don't want to pay. I
just love how when there's a stadium issue, because we've
seen it a couple of times. But I love how that,
you know, people throw out through the media the threat
of well, you know, maybe they'll leave. You know, maybe
they're just gonna stop stop, like when the push comes
to shove. More than likely nobody's going anywhere. I mean,
(40:28):
just because it's happened with La there was all you know,
backdoor dealings and handlings there. But more than likely they'll
figure it out and the team's gonna stay put.
Speaker 3 (40:36):
Potentially that's your your AFC representative in the Super Bowl
next year, this upcoming season, I mean, is it all win?
Speaker 1 (40:47):
Are you calling your shot? No?
Speaker 3 (40:49):
Okay, get a win though, get a win, Like going
into the season, you build up some momentum, you toss
it out there. You know we were going to stay
in Cincinnati. You get some excitement going, you generate. It
takes the focus off of the fact that you haven't
signed your first round traf pick yet or your best
player on the defensive side of the ball.
Speaker 1 (41:11):
You know. Move the goalposts. Yeah, keep people happy and
they're gonna stay put there. You go. Good for Bengals fans.
Good for they They could use a little luck. Is
that what it is? Yeah? Okay.
Speaker 2 (41:23):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific
