I don't know what feeling here.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
Sick, Good morning, Good morning, Hey, how you doing.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
Listen, We're just hanging out here, just kind of laughing, grinning, okay,
smirking a little bit.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
You know, it's always nice when you find out somebody's
full of crap for your very eyes and ears.
Speaker 5 (01:40):
Yeah, let's get to it, man, I mean, it's just
let's get When I saw it, I was like, this
is a joke, Like this was It was so beyond
my realm of comprehension. After hearing all of the backlash
and and everything that was taking place with the golfers
who did it, and Charles Barkley wanting to announce it, like.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
Let's get to it.
Speaker 4 (02:02):
Yeah, it's I thought the same thing.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
I thought there was a parody account attached to it,
because you can never be too sure because sometimes these
stories come out and you've got to reference it and
see whether or not. It's a site like ball sack
Sports who likes to throw out some headlines and is
that real?
Speaker 4 (02:17):
Yeah, that's real. It's a real thing.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
It's called ball sack Sports and they'll and what they'll
do is they'll attribute quotes that aren't true to people
and they just run with it, and they they catch
people all the time. I think they've they've gotten Steven A.
Speaker 4 (02:30):
Smith.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
I think they've gotten Shannon Sharp because they're really well
done and well executed. It's like the old the the
Onion that's out there. The Onion's got some great headlines.
Then I assume that this was one of those headlines,
and then nope, it started flying and the story started
to come out that the PGA and the Live Golf
Tour are now merging and the funding will be on
(02:55):
behalf of the Saudis who were the same group and
the same people behind the Live Tour that the PGA
Tour and all of those blowhards who stood on their
soapbox condemned all of those players like Brooks, Koepka, and
Phil Michelson for joining because it was blood money and
all the other things that came along with it, and
(03:15):
then they saw their opportunity and without letting anybody know,
and apparently none of the players knew either. On the
live tour the PGA Tour, they all found out via
social media and Twitter. J Monahan, the PGA Tour commissioner,
announced that this would be happening. The merger is here,
but he also recognized that there's some hypocrisy in all
(03:37):
of this, and so in talking with ESPN, he addressed
that as well too.
Speaker 6 (03:41):
I recognize that people are gonna call me a hypocrite.
And anytime I've said anything, I said it with the
information I had at that moment, and I said it
based on someone that's trying to compete for the PGA
Tour and our players, and so I accept those criticisms,
I hope.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
So of course you do. Course you do.
Speaker 4 (04:04):
I mean, come on, it's fantastic.
Speaker 5 (04:06):
He sounds like a moron, Like, I mean, come on,
Like I said it with the information I had at
time at the time.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
The information hasn't changed. It hasn't changed.
Speaker 5 (04:19):
The only thing that's changed is now y'all don't have
any type of legal issues pending, which who knows how
much that was going to cost.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
You know, the sites.
Speaker 5 (04:31):
Now you have to explain why the patriot uh, the
patriotism of what the PGA tour represents is now been
pushed to the side because everybody was talking about terrorists, terrorists, terrorists.
You can't do it. It's not American terrorists, terrorists, terrorists, terrorists.
(04:52):
These are the same people that have have sent terrorists
to our land. They knocked down our buildings, they terrorized
our people. Terrorists, terrorists, terrorists, terrorists. Charles Barkley, you'll lose
everything nobody wants you if you do this.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
This is ridiculous.
Speaker 5 (05:08):
Why are you thinking as terrorists, terrorists, terrans And now
all of a sudden you're saying it's not that like
it's good, We're good, We're gonna we're gonna partner up right,
Come on, man, that this has got to be one
of the most insanely ac andine moves and sports that
I've ever heard of, just based off of the level
(05:31):
of I mean, I remember distinctly how disgusted people were,
the golfers that were coming out. I even think Tiger
came out and had something to say about it. Everybody
had something to say about it and was weighing in
on it and chiming in on it, and you know what,
they wanted to shame any and everyone who had any
(05:55):
shred or ounce of support for the live tour. And
now we're here with new information. Jonas, could you please
give me that new information?
Speaker 2 (06:04):
Please? Can you give me the new information?
Speaker 4 (06:06):
Oh, there is none.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
The new information is Jamon Han and the PGA Tour realized, damn,
that's a lot of money that would.
Speaker 4 (06:13):
Really go a long way.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
And he can talk about it's better for the game
of golf and whatnot, and listen them two being together
and Brooks Kepka and all those guys being able to
participate in the tournaments together and all that stuff. That's
all good and well, But the fact of the matter
is the hypocrisy is so egregious that I think a
lot of people are going to have a hard time
(06:35):
wrapping their arms around this for a significant amount of time.
And I know the news cycle is a fast one
and things turn and burn, but you can't look at
some of the people that shot their mouths off and
not think to yourself, to your point what has changed?
And if you're Tiger Woods, if you're Rory McRoy, if
you're some of these guys that condemned these golfers for
(06:57):
joining and talked about you all the money that you're
taking and the blood money bro they offered Tiger Woods,
like seven eight hundred million dollars, Is he going to
get that money back? Is Tiger Woods going to be
able to get that seven eight hundred million dollars back
whatever the number was that he.
Speaker 5 (07:13):
Turned down, and not unless they gonna purchase him a
new leg. It's just some new body parts.
Speaker 4 (07:20):
Like it's just like that. The whole thing is amazing.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
To watch in real time and just to see the
way it was handled and nobody knew about it, and
you've got all like j Monahan Ta said that he
had a meeting with a bunch of the PGA Tour
players and he described it as heated, and the word
hypocrite was thrown around, and all, well, yeah, of course, because.
Speaker 5 (07:42):
Because you got everybody looking like everybody who went along
with it, You got them looking like morons and hypocrites
right along with the.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
One hundred percent and all of the and the difference
between those guys and the guys that did join the
live tour is they got like a you know, like
an extra one hundred million dollars in their pocket and
we all ended up in the same spot.
Speaker 4 (08:00):
It's it. The whole thing is awful.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
And I saw some report that was out there that
you know, these players will be fined when they joined
the tour. My ass, Like, if you don't think that
that Phil Mickelson and some of these guys, there's a
reason why they were taking victory laps on Twitter yesterday.
There's a reason why because they had to wear it
from so many people who stood on the soapbox of
the PGA tour and were blow hardened it up for
(08:25):
what two years now, Like we would talk about this
with Brady because he was all into just the business.
Speaker 4 (08:31):
Of it all.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
And I remember we all in Unison were like, man,
there's a lot of name calling, a lot of stuff
going on there, Like it just it felt like those
guys were going so hard in the paint with patriotism
and where the money's coming from and let's trace it
back and all that, and all those live guys had
to wear it and they took their money and their
names were drugging the dirt the entire time, and two
(08:53):
years later we're in the exact same spot, except they
got the money and these guys don't like it's the thing.
It's amazing to watch, Like I just and again, I
thought it was a parody account.
Speaker 4 (09:05):
I didn't think it was real. And then the more it.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
Came out, people that cover golf were looking around going,
wait a second, this is actually happening.
Speaker 5 (09:14):
I couldn't believe it when I got I got the message.
Soon as the news dropped, I was like, man, I
sent the message back like bruh, it's not April.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
It's like, is this April? Fools?
Speaker 5 (09:28):
Like you sound like this is the dumbest, Like why
are you sending me this random? Like the PGA tour
merges with Live Like that's so dumb. I put. I
looked at it and clicked out of the message, Like
the person sending it to me is bored. You got
too much time on your hands. That's how I looked
at it. I couldn't comprehend it. It's wild, man, it
(09:51):
couldn't comprehend it.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
So remember, like one of the things that I was
thinking about yesterday when I saw it. You remember when
Nick Saban came out and was critical of Jim and
Nil and all the other things. And we were talking
about like because we hadn't heard a coach go after
another coach like that, Like we hadn't heard anybody air
another coach out for their recruiting tactics or whatever the
(10:12):
case may be. And Jimbo Fisher responded and along the
lines of I know stuff about him, I could say
stuff about like he was really thrown off by Nick
Saban coming after him and in his time going so
hard in the paint at Jimbo Fisher for the way
he was recruiting. And part of the reason was is
(10:33):
if you look deep enough into anybody, whether it's college
or whatnot, you can find dirt on anybody. Like if
you really wanted to find dirt on a program, you
could do it. And you've never heard, like when USC's
got all of their issues, you never hear a UCLA.
Speaker 4 (10:47):
Coach come out after USC.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
You normally don't hear that, but you did with Saban,
which is what was so surprising about it, because there's
almost this I don't know if this is there.
Speaker 4 (10:56):
What do they call it? Thieves?
Speaker 1 (10:59):
You know, like no honor amongst Yeah, no honor amongst
thieves kind of thing to where you know, we're all
kind of cutting corners here and there. Let's not air
each other out because then it opens up a can
of worms for everybody involved. Like this is exactly why
none of these people should have shot their mouth off
when given the opportunity, when these guys took this money,
(11:20):
Because if this much money was involved, the idea that
the PGA Tour would just stand back away from all
of that and continue to condemn it this entire time
was laughable. And you, like, never pot calling a kettle
black if you've got, you know, dirt on somebody, but
you've got some skeletons in your closet, don't call it
(11:41):
out in real time on the spot and try and
air anybody out. And reminded me of that because you
normally don't see this stuff in college football.
Speaker 4 (11:48):
You normally don't.
Speaker 1 (11:49):
Hear other recruiters air out other recruiters because everybody's got
a little bit of something that you could point to
and say, oh what about this, And the fact that
all these guys stood on the soap like j Monahan,
the PGA Tour commissioner, and wore these players out for
joining the live tour, and here we are lesson learn.
(12:09):
Don't call anybody out when you know you're going to
end up if things go the direction that this was
going to head in the entire time, if you're going
to end up in the same spot.
Speaker 4 (12:17):
Now, you just look like clowns. They look stupid.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
Everybody on that side of it looks dumb, and they
look like they were all full of crap, especially Jay
Monaghan who recognized the amount of money that was involved
and then jumped at the cash when he got an opportunity.
Speaker 5 (12:30):
To and got out of paying cash. Yeah, because they
were going to have to continue to shut out cash
on the antitrust lawsuits that were pending or were going
against one another that they filed against one another. And
I just get this strange feeling their money isn't as
long as that public fund that's funding lived. I just
(12:50):
don't I don't see it. I don't see it. Maybe
I'm off, but I just don't see it.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
So they've got so much money, like there is so
much money that they can work with. It's like they're
in another stratosphere. Like I was talking to Ben Mahller
about this before the show. So the WWE puts on
live events in Saudi Arabia at least a couple of
times a year. And initially when they were doing it,
(13:16):
it was all about, well, I mean, this is a
bad look, and it's blood money, and it's this like
all of the same stuff. And then you start to
realize how much money they're bringing in from a business standpoint,
coming off a pandemic where everybody's still trying to find
their footing in certain areas.
Speaker 4 (13:34):
Man Like, we could.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
Trace back a lot of stuff like if you want to,
like some of the sponsors on the PGA Tour at
the time, if you wanted to go far enough back,
you could probably find some dirt on a lot of
money that was in the PGA tour as well too.
And the fact that those players in Jay Monahan were
calling out these guys when they were making a business
decision for them and we're having to defend themselves from
(13:58):
PGA tour writers and people in.
Speaker 4 (14:00):
The media and that were getting they were being condemned.
Speaker 2 (14:03):
They were than it was bad, it was bad.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
They were ostracized, like they were looked at as bad
for the game and bad for humanity and bad for America.
Speaker 4 (14:14):
That's what they were looked at.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
There was the group nine eleven families.
Speaker 5 (14:18):
Yeah United, Yes, United, They can't They're terribly offended, terribly offended.
You like, if you are a patriot and you live
in that you you basically the PGA Tour basically has
condemned themselves to anyone that is truly, truly deeply rooted
(14:40):
in that belief. Like, you've alienated yourselves as the tour,
PGA Tour, You've alienated the rest of the people who
play in the tour because of the hypocrisy that you
have exercised on such a flagrant level. It's like, how
do you And I'm I'm curious is the outcry from
(15:04):
the nine to eleven communities and and the people who
have been impacted directly by by this this.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
You know, the whole deal of it.
Speaker 5 (15:15):
I wonder how large of a voice, because we see
when the voices loud, things change.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
We're seeing it, you.
Speaker 5 (15:25):
Know, with with what's going on like what we saw,
what happened with the Dodgers and different things like that
connected to that community in particular, they have gotten us
such a strong voice that when that voice comes together,
things change. We saw it happen with Black Lives matter,
things change. I wonder is the voice the voices of
(15:50):
the patriots who feel the way that they feel about
you know, Saudi Arabia, and and and and the money
or the Saudi money. I just wonder is that voice
so strong? Is it strong enough to come together to
condemn this so much that something changes? Because I think
(16:12):
the backlash of this is going to be significant amongst them,
But how significant is it in a true public forum
and a public voice.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
Will it create pressure for.
Speaker 5 (16:24):
The PGA tour to have to reconsider what it is
that they did based upon how badly it's being received
here in America.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
And the fact that they didn't let anybody know that
it was happening. I think I ought to tell you
how they felt internally about it, that oh man, this
isn't going to land.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
Well.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
It's like it's like waiting until your parents just wake
up to ask them if you can go somewhere, because
you know they're groggy and not really thinking straight. It's
almost like they wanted to wait till everybody wasn't looking
or maybe not thinking straight, and then all of a
sudden they just dropped a bombshell in the morning and said,
all right, here we go, and everyone's wait, what do
you mean? Is this a joke or is this not
a It's the whole idea behind it, from start to finish,
(17:07):
is laughable. And I'm with you, I'm curious to see
how bad the backlash gets. And if you're one of
those family members who stood up there and condemned these
golfers for joining and where the money comes from, and
they're exposing themselves and they're showing themselves to be who
they really are, and I mean all of the stuff,
(17:28):
and then you still are are down a family member
who you lost to nine to eleven. You sat up
there and had to make a statement and defend your
family and what happened and talk about the PGA tour
doing it the right way and the live tour not
doing it the right way. How are they feeling right now?
Because you had to stir up all those memories and
(17:49):
all those feelings. And then at the end of the day,
the person who was kind of angling to get everybody
to go in that direction ended up going in the
same direction as the arch rive or the villain in
this whole thing, ended up going to for the money.
Speaker 5 (18:03):
You know, it's even more interesting. And further in the
article that I'm reading, Donald Trump was hosting live tours,
live golf events on his courses and basically got on
his true social and said that a merger and he
said this last year, a merger between live and PGA
(18:28):
Tour was inevitable.
Speaker 2 (18:32):
People. I mean, I'm not We're not going to turn this.
Speaker 5 (18:35):
I mean, this is a political conversation, honestly, it really is.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
But when you start.
Speaker 5 (18:41):
To see people who are saying things that are actually
accurate and then them things are happening a year later,
I mean, you know it, it creates interesting perspectives, It
creates new parallels, and I just think it's this one,
(19:03):
This is an interesting one. Where Where's Joe Biden? Where's
Joe Biden in this? Like, if we're being real here,
where where are the government officials that are protecting democracy
and protecting you know, what's what's considered to be American
Where where are these people?
Speaker 2 (19:22):
Where where is that?
Speaker 5 (19:24):
Because to me, if this is as bad as they
tried to make it when it happened, if it's as
bad as it was when this happened, and as as
many people that tried to make this happen. How do
you allow the pg A to do a merger and
do business this way without there being any type of discussions,
(19:47):
any type of whole ho ho hold on, like, you
guys can't do that, You're not going to do that? Where? Where?
Where are Where are these politicians? Because this seems to
go outside This clearly goes far beyond the parameters of
just sports. This isn't just a sports topic. This is
a political topic, which to me, I'm curious with everything
(20:13):
that's going on with you know, campaigns and stuff like that,
I'm wonder if are they going to are people going
to just kind of brush over this.
Speaker 2 (20:23):
Or are politicians going to have something to say about it?
Speaker 5 (20:26):
Yeah, because there I'm definitely certain that more than just
the nine to eleven people, are the nine eleven community
are offended by this.
Speaker 1 (20:37):
Yeah, there's a lot of people who are doing the
I told you sos that many people in mainstream media
don't want to hear from. And unfortunately they were all
right and Trump was one of them. Phil Mickelson was one,
Greg Norman was another. All Like, there's just it's just
such a bad look, bad look, and the way we
(21:00):
go it is two Pros and a Cup of Joe
here on Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Jonas Knox or
that you can listen to this show as always on
the iHeartRadio app. And yes, the stream is fixed all right,
so the law offices of Bitch and Moan can stop
on Twitter complaining about whether or not the stream works.
My god, did we have to wear it yesterday on that?
So everything's fine. You can listen on the iHeartRadio app.
(21:20):
We are going to take you all the way up
until nine am Eastern time, six o'clock Pacific. We've got
the usuals in case you missed it. We've got our
midweek Awards. We've also got the old p Petris Papadaka
stopping by. And it's all yours here on this three
hour extravaganza. But coming up next though, we've got somebody
who apparently is not a fan of something that you
are when it comes to the NFL. We'll tell you
(21:41):
what that is right here Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 7 (21:44):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
Two pros and a cup of Joe. Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Jonas Knox with you here. Coming up in
a little over fifteen minutes from now, and another edition
of In Case you missed it. We've got a story
in the NFL that won't make you want to leave
the house, so we'll give you the details on that.
It'll make you want to stay home for a significant
(22:19):
amount of time. We'll put that into your morning pipeline
here and another edition of In Case you missed It
coming up again fifteen minutes from now on FSR. SO
LaVar Arrington, we were talking yesterday about potential Hard Knocks
candidates because the NFL is having a hard time finding
anybody that.
Speaker 4 (22:35):
Wants the role.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
And there are four teams that meet the criteria to
be included in Hard Knocks, and those teams are the Jets,
the Bears, the Commanders, and the New Orleans Saints. Well,
apparently Saints head coach Dennis Allen he has some opinions
on whether or not he would like to be on
Hard Knocks.
Speaker 4 (22:54):
Let's take a listen.
Speaker 3 (22:55):
Well, guys, are one of the four teams that could
be forced on the Hard Knocks. How would you just
feel about that there was saying.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
I wouldn't like it?
Speaker 3 (23:01):
Yeah, why not? Because I just want to focus on
our football team and getting better and any distractions are
exactly that, They're just distractions that keep you from ultimately
reaching your goal.
Speaker 1 (23:14):
So, like we talked about yesterday, if that's the case,
why don't you just open up to everybody in the league,
no matter what their their criteria is, no matter where
they're at as an organization, to just say, hey, who
wants to be a part of this, step right up
and step right in.
Speaker 4 (23:29):
You can be a star on HBO.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
Like this criteria stuff isn't working if the four teams
that qualify, nobody apparently wants the gig.
Speaker 5 (23:40):
The fact that the fact that it is mandatory that
a team does it, I wonder why why there's a
why there's a clause a deal clause that that's there
for one, because that means that you would have to
assume that all the owners are are in the same
are in the same mindset about doing this show. And
(24:01):
that's how that that rule is in play. If that
is indeed the rule that a team must do it. Now,
if a team must do it, then don't leave it
up for a franchise to make the decision. Just just
create create a rotating decision system and just just choose
(24:23):
the team. Take it out of the hands of the
team to make the decision. If a team is mandated
to do the show, then just choose a team.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
Yeah, just choose a team.
Speaker 5 (24:35):
And if I'm the NFL, I would want to do
that because you can always make sure that you're putting
the most interesting storyline team on the show. It's the
Jets by far on that list, hands like far and away,
it's the Jets that make the most sense, the Jets.
Speaker 4 (24:54):
I think it's going to end up being the Jets.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
And I think it's gonna end up being the Jets
because they're Ian Rapaport talked yesterday, I think it was
on the Pat McAfee show starring AJ Hawk, and he
said that the Jets and the people that make the
business decisions for the Jets would be really excited about
the opportunity. Like it feels like the football people aren't
really into it, but the people that recognize what it
could do for the branding would be into it. It's
(25:18):
like the show Last Chance You on Netflix, one of
my favorite shows that's ever been on Netflix. And you
can talk whatever you want about, well, was it distractions
for those teams or whatnot? Man Like Jason Brown, the coach,
that guy became a star off that show. Like he's
not even coaching anymore, he doesn't need to, Like he
became a star off that show. And a lot of
(25:40):
those teams, and the way that the media and the
coverage of those teams changed afterwards, Like it put a
lot of those players and a lot of those small colleges,
those junior colleges on the map. So if I was
a team and I was looking at it from a
business standpoint, I could totally understand the appeal.
Speaker 4 (26:00):
With wanting to be on hard knocks.
Speaker 1 (26:01):
I just think that these coaches are so concerned about distractions,
like Dennis Allen pointed out, and some of the other
things that have been attached to it, and also the
reputation that when a team is on hard knocks, they
don't end up having a successful season. Most of them
don't make the playoffs. I think one team's made the
conference a championship game later that year. It just feels
(26:24):
like there's this disconnect between the people that want the
publicity and the coaches who just want to coach and
play and get ready for the football season. Like you're
a high school coach, if something like this came along,
would you look at this as a major distraction or
would you look at this as an opportunity to put
your team on the map.
Speaker 5 (26:45):
I don't think one has to be false. I think
they both can be true. Jonas and I would I
would say there certainly would be distractions that come along
with that that amount of exposure, But I also would
say that that would be an amazing and tremendous opportunity
(27:09):
to create exposure. Like to me, you can never have
an in the entertainment game too much exposure, even if
you're not up to standard and up to stuff. If
I'm the Chicago Bears in this scenario, find a way
to use this type of platform to be able to
(27:31):
grow your your your fan base, to connect with your
fan base, you know, generate storylines that are advantageous to
the growth of your organization, the growth of business. This
could generate more more ticket sales. Potentially, this could generate
more interest and and and it could just it could
(27:54):
generate good will if you use it correctly. So to me,
I think I think it's a lazy response to say, well,
it's just too much of a distraction.
Speaker 2 (28:04):
We don't want to do it, like you suck.
Speaker 5 (28:07):
That's that's like like to me, you probably suck, and
that's that's that's like you just we don't want We
need to really focus in on trying to be better,
you know, we really need to focus in on what
we got.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
How many of these teams are winning teams on that list.
Speaker 4 (28:24):
Well, the Jets weren't last year.
Speaker 1 (28:25):
That's part of the criteria is that, yeah, good teams
aren't usually involved in all this, which is why the
Jets make the most sense because the Jets have all
the look and feel of a team that's going to
be good this year. So that would be the one
that would be the home run for the NFL and
for HBO.
Speaker 4 (28:42):
Man.
Speaker 1 (28:42):
You remember when the Jets were on Hard Knocks the
last time, Rex Ryan like his oh you know, let's
go get a snack like that, Like that was one
of the better seasons of Hard Knocks. So the Jets
have been here before. It's been a long time, but
they've been here before.
Speaker 4 (28:56):
And with the.
Speaker 1 (28:57):
Rogers stuff and Robert salas well spoken, and just some
of the characters and personalities that are now part of
that team. That's the one that would make the most sense.
And so I feel like that's where we're gonna end
up when it's all said and done. Anyways, just not
the Saints. It's not happening with the New Orleans Saints
and Dennis Allen.
Speaker 2 (29:15):
I don't see why anybody.
Speaker 5 (29:16):
I don't see why any franchise should be, you know,
not included.
Speaker 1 (29:21):
Maybe the Saint should focus more on getting some natural
grass inside the Superdome.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
Maybe that's you know.
Speaker 5 (29:28):
What's interesting about you saying natural grass inside of there?
Speaker 2 (29:32):
You want to know what's that.
Speaker 5 (29:33):
Well, I'm gonna tell you my people over at Pennington,
you know, the American Grass Sea Company, Well, they want
you to know that artificial turf on football fields causes
thirty two percent more non contact knee injuries. And Pennington
they're on a mission to ban turf fields with their
hashtag flip the Turf movement.
Speaker 2 (29:53):
So go to Pennington.
Speaker 5 (29:55):
Dot com slash flip the Turf now to learn more
and sign the potent for teams to hashtag flip to
turf to real grass.

After that, we turned it over to our executive producer
Lee lap.
Speaker 8 (31:19):
Good Morning, Everybody Morning and Jonas Morning LeVar guys, in
case you missed this the Lab.
Speaker 4 (31:28):
In case you missed it, Some Cleveland.
Speaker 8 (31:30):
Browns players might be being targeted for robberies in the
Cleveland area. A total of three Browns players were robbed
over the weekend, including UH two by gunpoint. Those being
Greg Newsom and defensive tackle Parry and Winfrey, who were
robbed leaving a nightclub Monday night, UH just twenty four
hours earlier. Dimitric Felton also had his car robbed, so
(31:51):
two cars were actually stolen, Greg Newsom's truck and Dimitric
Felton's car. So authorities believe this might be a targeting
situation for the Cleveland I.
Speaker 4 (32:01):
Just wouldn't leave the house.
Speaker 1 (32:04):
I just I mean, if I had enough money to
where I could build whatever I wanted as an entertainment
in my house, I just would do that and never
leave the house, Like what's something like, what are you
gonna do? You're just gonna go out there if you
want to wear because God forbid you wear a nice watch,
then you become targeted. You drive a nice car, you
get targeted. Like it just it feels like this stuff's
(32:26):
happening a lot lately. I just stay home, stay.
Speaker 4 (32:29):
Out the guys.
Speaker 2 (32:29):
We're getting targeted.
Speaker 5 (32:30):
When I was in New York, and I'm gonna be
honest with you, it was during the time like you
weren't allowed to carry a gun in New York and
we all know the Plexico bird story. But yeah, that's
you know, guys was starting to mount up because we
was getting robbed. I've never been robbed before, but cats
were getting robbed coming out of the nightclubs, coming out
(32:53):
of restaurants. Cats were getting robbed, like their jewelry, if
they had cash. Guys were getting robbed.
Speaker 1 (33:00):
It's just I mean, like I would do like I
think it was Tommy Lee who loved Starbucks so much
or something like that, he just built one in his house,
you know what I'm saying, Like just throw one in
your house, you know, like I throw something up there,
you know, build a night like throw a bowling alley
on your property, like if you want to have some
(33:20):
fun like that, Like, what's the point of leaving your
house if you know there's a potential that you're going
to get targeted. And then when enough guys on your
team were getting targeted when you were in New York,
LeVar didn't like at some point, did you guys not
second guests?
Speaker 4 (33:32):
I mean, is this even worth you know, running going out? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (33:37):
Absolutely, It's just I don't know absolutely you had you
had to. I mean some guys second guessed it, some
guys was preparing for it, and.
Speaker 1 (33:46):
Then and then some of the Yeah, and then some
of the guys, like some of the videos you see
of crimes that just happen in broad daylight, like or
you see it on a camera where somebody's walking up
to their proper and then a car full of dudes,
like four or five guys get out of gunpoint and
take everything they have. It's just like it right now
(34:06):
feels like a time where you're really rolling the dice
when you want to go out and do anything, especially
if you got money or nice clothes or watches on jewelry.
Speaker 5 (34:15):
You know, you know, the bigger the bigger issue here
becomes how far the do these targetings go, because that
I mean, does it, does it go as far as
the leading to home invasion? Because you know, we're dealing
with that, We've dealt with that for a little bit out.
Speaker 2 (34:34):
Here in La.
Speaker 4 (34:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (34:36):
And they ain't just targeting, you know, athletes, They're they're
targeting regular people, just walking up on.
Speaker 2 (34:42):
Them, you know, at their homes.
Speaker 5 (34:45):
So you know, I'll never understand thievery, but it is
a very real it is a very real evil that's
out there. It's a very real evil that exists. And
and you got to you gotta be mindful. You gotta
be aware of your surroundings. I always say, make sure
(35:06):
you're aware of your surroundings. You know, you feel like
somebody's following you, you know, don't don't don't take that
that feeling for granted. Don't be like an nobody could
be following me. It might be somebody following you, you know,
different things like that. You got to have, you know,
the people that you love and care about. It's a
(35:27):
necessary evil to make sure they're aware of the dangers
that exist out here. It doesn't even have to be
a nightclub scenario. Or being out late, people get robbed,
and it's it's just it's an evil element that's a
part of cultures and societies.
Speaker 2 (35:43):
Greed.
Speaker 4 (35:44):
What else we got, guys?
Speaker 8 (35:46):
In case you missed this draftings h actually put out
odds for teams to go winless next season, going oh
to seventeen. And guess who might be at the top
of that list. That'd be Arizona Arizona Cardinals. Right, showed
to sixteen to one odds for the Cardinals to go
oh and seventeen, followed by the Texans, Colts, Commanders and books.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
That team is a diaper fire. They are going to
be so bad it's gonna.
Speaker 2 (36:06):
Be comper, can't smell nice.
Speaker 3 (36:09):
