Speaker 1 (01:01):
You know this song gets you fired up? Then the
song make you want to tell your rotator cuff to
go screw off and go throw five point fifty around
like you're Larry Allen. In his prime.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
My rotator cuff is telling me to screw off.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Yeah, that's one of those ones you really can't work through.
It's like I can get through this.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
I have been working through it though, But God leave Jonas.
It ain't one that you're supposed to. That's for certain.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Little tear by, little tear by, little tear next thing.

(02:11):
com the way tire buying should be. I think we
got to come up with a new nickname for Nicola
Jokic because Joker just doesn't seem applicable here because A
he's not joking, and B I don't he doesn't strike
me as a guy who's cracking jokes all the time.
I apparently he's a funny guy behind the scenes, but

(02:32):
it is just this sort of ho hum just kind
of works, just kind of does this thing and then
you look and you go, is he a thirty twenty
ten tonight? And yes, in fact he was thirty two.
Twenty one to ten was the stat line for Jokic.
I believe he through the series thus far is shooting

(02:54):
like sixty two percent from the field. LeVar. This guy
is an animal, and it's It's just the most easy
looking thirty twenty ten game that I can recall ever
seeing in the history of the league.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
It's amazing, man, That's just how he plays. I mean,
he makes it look really simple, like he's just in
a shoot around. I mean his movements are very deliberate,
but they're just very slow, you know. But he can
handle the ball really good. He can shoot from from
pretty much anywhere. I mean, you don't see him take

(03:28):
deep balls too often. You know, he doesn't shoot threes,
but anything in and around that rim, and he's going
to bang you. I mean, he he does shoot threes,
and he has made threes, but in and around the
basketball and the rim, he's just he's money because he's

(03:48):
got great vision and because he's got such gouch has
great vision, he's able to make the passes when the
defenses try to converge on them. So it's like been
all of these these you know, debates on what do
you do to try to win against Denver right now?
Do you allow Yo Jokis to to get his points

(04:11):
and make everybody else beat you? And different things like that. Listen,
Bam out of Bayu. Bayo is having a hell of
a series, and he's aggressive against Djokis. He's he's he's
productive as well on the offensive side of the ball.

(04:32):
So on the offensive side of the court, he is
playing well. And so I think I think the idea
of how you try to go about playing this team
and beating this team is what they did in Game two,
which is you got to make your mid range shots,
You got to make your deep balls and and you can't.

(04:55):
You can't keep it even or even be up by
a little bit. When when you go into halftime, you've
got to you've got to have a significant a significant lead,
like I'm talking double close to double digit league going
into halftime, so that when you come out of halftime,

(05:17):
you got an opportunity to withstand some of what's going
to take place with with Denver. I think that that's
kind of what it is. And my my estimation, they're
gonna they're gonna have to play some really, really extraordinary
basketball to be able to win this series. I mean,
I said that coming into a Jonas, but I think

(05:40):
it proved true last last night because I don't want
to say it. It looked too easy for them to
get it because because Miami is they are, They are
competitive and probably more competitive than I was giving them
credit for coming into the series. But it did look

(06:02):
like they were dominating Miami.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
Yeah, so you know, Butler didn't. I mean, look, he
had his stat line was okay, he had his twenty
eight points, but it wasn't like he impacted the game
like he did against Boston, like he did against New York,
like he definitely did against Milwaukee. It's just I mean
I look at it and I go, well, the Heat
already won because they're not going to get swept, so

(06:27):
there at least there's that. So they came back and
they won Game two. But this one was just sort
of this. Once you got to the second half, I
think their lead was five going into halftime was denver.
Once you got to the second half that third quarter,
they opened it up and that was pretty much a wrap.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
And it was quick too. Yeah, it was like they
opened it up on him pretty quickly. They clomped a
double digit lead pretty quickly. Like it was just they
was on them.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
Like they came out like if you were at a
bar and you forgot to take a leak at halftime,
and then you thought, oh damn, well let me I'm
gonna go now early in the third quarter, get this
ore with and then i'll come back. You wash your hands,
you get done, hopefully, you wash your hands, You come
out and you sit down and you go what happened? Yeah,
it just like there they are with an extended lead
and they're just they're getting production from other guys. Jamal

(07:12):
Murray was fantastic.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
Well that's that's that's the storyline. They said it. That's
the storyline that gets lost because of the way Nicola's playing.
But but Murray is probably the singular biggest reason why
the league climbs up to and balloons up as quickly
as it does because he just he he can pull
up from anywhere. First off, like he will he will bang.

(07:37):
He will bang a point out from anywhere on the
court like he's a He's a pretty strong shooter.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
Williamson, isn't he?

Speaker 3 (07:48):
Hey man, you know, he's kind of a little bit
like my hero now man, Like I used to want
to talk bad about him, but you know, after what
y'all sent me yesterday, I'm kind of a fan.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
We'll probably touch on that at all.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
We're gonna touch it.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
Well, yeah, I believe that whole lot to touch. Feat
would you rather an hour two?

Speaker 3 (08:09):
That is a whole lot to touch. But again, but
but I will say, I will say Jamal Murray, he
creates pace. I was thinking Catwell Pope would be the
guy that would create the pace, but Caltwell Pope also
gave some interesting commentary to least assaulters. After I believe

(08:34):
the first quarter or maybe the second quarter, it was
the first quarter, I believe where he just said, we
just we just can't let Miami come out the gate
on us, like they can't get out on us quick.
We got to stay in the game early on. And
and I think that that's the most telling piece of
information that has come from that series, is that as

(08:55):
long as as Denver can keep it close early on
with with Miami as they moved down the end of
the game, I think they feel confident that they cannot
actually overtake them with the minutes that they're playing their
big time players. I think they feel like with their conditioning,
with their size and their length and their strength, that

(09:18):
they can take over the game later on in the game.
And it looked as though that strategy kind of kind
of worked last night. Well.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
Mike Malone, the head coach of the Denver Nuggets, spoke
afterwards about just sort of his thoughts at this point
in watching Jokic put on another classic performance here in
Game three of the NBA Finals.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
Nothing he does surprises me. Ever, this guy has shown
time and time again that he's built for these moments.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
He thrives in these moments, the biggest stage, and he
did that once again tonight.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
So when it comes to the triple double stuff, and
Eddie Garcia mentioned this in his update, that Jokic and
Jamal Murray triple doubles last night. It's the first time
in the NBA where two players on the scene team
recorded a triple double in the same game. So we've
never seen it before. It's historic. And we've talked about
in years past, these triple double monsters that are out there.

(10:10):
And Russell Westbrook, and we've mentioned this before, was one
of those guys that you looked at was always seemingly
getting a triple double every game. But it just felt
different than when you watch Jokic get his. It just
it feels different because Westbrook, it wouldn't be surprising if
they would, you know, he had come up with a
triple double, and it would be like, all right, yeah,

(10:31):
that's awesome, but they still lost the day long. It
just it just felt a little empty with Jokic. It's
not like he's picking up some meaningless assists where you know,
he finds a guy who's who hits a three from
the corner, like the offense really does revolve around him.
He'll get the ball at the top of the key,
they'll set a screen and then he dictates where it goes.

(10:52):
Like there was a there was a point where Brown
cut to the basket and just his vision to find
him Aaron Gordon his vision, Like him and Gordon have
this connection where they know where to be, where to go,
and when you watch the way he plays, I just wonder.
We've talked about the Steph Curry element to where Steph
Curry gave guys who were, you know, six three and

(11:14):
under who maybe didn't want to go inside hope because
if you get your shot good enough, next thing, you know,
maybe you've got a chance in this league and a
chance to be a productive basketball player. I wonder, are
we going to see an explosion in popularity of a
guy like Jokic, who's a big man who, yes, you know,

(11:34):
if he wants to hit an outside shot, he can.
But it's his passing that really sets everything else up.
Because the way he's working his triple double into these
games as opposed to Westbrook and some of these other
guys have in the past, completely different. It just feels different,
it looks different, and I just wonder if it's going
to change the game moving forward.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
Because he looks sustainable too, you know, playing at that
pace and at that speed, you'd assume that he could
do that for a really, really long time. Like we
could see him be in his sixties and still be
out there, you know, playing that game because it's probably
going to be the same same speed and it'll translate.

(12:16):
But I doubt he'll make it to his sixties point.
But you will see probably people, probably franchises copycatting, trying
to find that next Nicola Jokic. I think that's that's
pretty fair to think that, you know, being a copycat league.

(12:40):
They want to try to bring in guys that they
feel are the most effective type of players, and although
they may not have the same exact characteristics as a Nicola,
I think that franchises see the value in what a
guy like that brings to the table. And now you
add those things, those elements to your scouting report, because

(13:03):
I mean they talked about his scouting great and his
report coming out or coming into the draft, and it
wasn't very flattering, you know. It was it was almost
like how Tom Brady was right, like just the way
they evaluated him, and they basically evaluated him as a
pretty pretty say average prospect, you know, and so, but

(13:25):
when you look at the way his basketball IQ plays
out on the court and his acumen to be able
to know when to pass, no when to shoot, create
that spacing and opportunities for the other guys, and make
no mistake about it. I like this quote that came
out of the game yesterday. They said that we're not

(13:46):
a team of one guy, but we're a team that
knows who our guy is. I thought that was a
pretty cool quote because that's why you have the relationship
between a Joki and a Gordon or a Murray and
a Gordon. Like when you looked at you know, Westbrook,
what did you feel when when he was out there

(14:07):
with KD and James Harden and he wants to be
the guy, you know? And and now you got a
team of well, who's the guy? Is it Harden? Is it?
Is it KD? Is it Russ? Russ seems to be
the more dominant personality. They defer to Russ, but maybe
they shouldn't have and you know, and and you see
that fall fall short. They kept falling short. But here

(14:31):
I think they understand the balance of it all, including Djokic.
He understands the balance of it all and they play
off of each other fairly well. If they're able to
keep that team together, it's a pretty dangerous team to
deal with. Man, they could they could go on healthy
Denver Nuggets could go on a little bit of a

(14:52):
run if they're able to hold that together. But anyway,
they got to get out of this series. But they're playing.
They look really good last night. They played good strong
defense and they spread the ball around. Guys, we're scoring
Porter Porter Junior. He's still he still hasn't really really
gotten really into the the series offensively. Neither has Pope,

(15:13):
And I think that that may be that might be
on par for this series, I guess. But if they
were to catch on fire.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
Oh it'll be a wipeout.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
It might. It might get ugly, Yeah, it might get ugly.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
It's two pros and a cup of Joe Here on

so we're gonna have some, would you rather? Coming up
an hour two of the program, Albert Breer is gonna
stop by. Is there another gambling scandal yet again in

(15:49):
the NFL. We're gonna get that information from Breer an
hour two. Also, it's all Yours again, a three hour
extravaganza from the Tairaq dot com studios. But coming up next,
one of the big names in the NFL that is
now out there. Apparently there's a leader in the clubhouse
to land his services, and we'll tell you who that is.

(16:10):
That's next.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific

Speaker 1 (16:25):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington, Jonas Knox with you here coming up at
about twenty minutes from now from the Tirak dot com studios.
A valuable lesson was learned in the world of sports.
A story that will make you think twice about an
athlete that you've mocked for years we'll give you the

(16:47):
details on that again coming up twenty minutes from now
here on FSR. But LaVar Arrington, we thought that the
Odell Beckham Junior Sweepstakes were really a buzz. It went
on forever and ever. You had the Rams holding a
locker open form with his jersey hanging in it. You
had OBJ talking about could it be the Bills? Could

(17:09):
it be the Rams last season opener? He's going to
get to decide. He went on that free agent tour
late in the season where he met He met with
a few teams like the Bills. I think the Cowboys
might have been involved. Remember he passed out on that
plane in Fort Lauderdale or something like that.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
He didn't pass out, but they wanted to remove him
from the plane because of his Maybe it was his
fashion choices. I don't know he was it. He did
not want to wake up for them to get him
off of the plane. But I don't know that it
was that he passed.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
I mean, by the way, did we ever find out
what exactly happened there? Like, what was the the situation
involving Odell Beckham? Was he just being a tool and
they said, listen, you're you're you're being kind of a
d bag.

Speaker 3 (17:53):
You got to go.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
Was it one of those or was he like banged up?
Did he have a few too many at the at
the hotel or the airport bar, and then hopped on
the plane. They said put your seat belt on. He
said it is on, and they said, no, it's not.
That's actually the distrap to your backpack. We need to
put your seat belt on. Next thing, you know, he
tells him to go f off and now he's getting
kicked off the plane. We never really got the straight

(18:16):
answer for all that for some reason, very weird.

Speaker 3 (18:19):
I'll tell you what though I don't know the exact
situation and the circumstances around that, but always traveling not
too long ago, and sometimes airport employees or you know,
airline employees can be a little bit over zealous Jonas

(18:41):
just a tad bit to a tad bit to a
and here's the thing about it, right, they'll get aggressive
with you and tell you to calm down, sir, you're
being aggressive, right, Like I was going through I generally
get flagged when I go through security, and it does

(19:01):
the same exact thing, so I know the routine of it.
This that and the other. So I go through it
and the TSA guy starts rushing me. He's like, sir,
you need to come over here. Sir, I'm going to
have to touch you, and in ways where do you
want to be, you know, touched out here or do
you want to go into a room? I was like,

(19:23):
what are you talking about? Just do whatever it is
you need to do and let's be done with it. Sir,
you're being aggressive. I'm being aggressive. What you're being aggressive?
You need to calm down. So like now he's trying
to progress me off of the way he's responding to me,
And if the supervisor hadn't came over there and looked

(19:46):
at me, it's like, dude, just just calm down. Man,
Like it's okay, Like do what you need to do.
This is what he's going to do. I was like, sir,
I'm fine. He was rushing me and then he makes
me stand here and and it makes me wait, and
all I said was can you please just get it?
Get can you get done? Like do what you need

(20:09):
to do. He's like it's it's no problems. It's like, okay,
I appreciated it, but man, it's like, what was the.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
Why did what you said. It happens every time, so
you know the routine.

Speaker 3 (20:20):
Yeah, cause you know I have a I have a
metal rod in my arm.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
Oh it's from the from the surgery in your arm.

Speaker 3 (20:26):
Yeah, I have a metal rod, and I generally have
a necklace on, so my necklace and my arm go
off every time. So they pat me down every time.
That's kind of if I ever told the story of
all mammal what you know, I call myself King of
the Mammals too. Well. The funny thing is is that
I always would get pated down, and and when they

(20:48):
would be pat me down, the guy be like, like
they make certain faces. I'd like, yeah, it's all mammal.
That was That's a true story. That That's how I
started calling myself king of the Mamma.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
Sir, it looks like a brontosaurus.

Speaker 3 (21:04):
Yep, oh, mamma right. So I mean, I don't know
what happened with Odell and I didn't mean the deil,
but I just happened to me.

Speaker 1 (21:14):
I didn't know that you actually that that was the
thing that you got to go through that every every
time because of the metal rod in your arm.

Speaker 3 (21:20):
It just happened to me. In New York JFK. I
went to JFK, I went to Kennedy and I mean,
I'm sitting there and I'm like, I'm about to get arrested,
Like I'm really I'm really about to get removed from
And I literally said, all I said was can you
please like, can you please just get done? Like that's

(21:43):
all I said. Like you rushed me. You got me
taking off, pulling up my shirt, doing all this stuff,
stepping to the side. You're rushing me, and then you
just left me there by the way.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
I got stranded at JFK. I was I was flying
back home and missed my flight because I didn't really
I think it was fun. Well, yeah, and I think
it was that and the driver it was. It was
a cab back that I don't think Uber was around,
and the guy was driving so slow. And I actually
got to the airport in time. But for whatever reason

(22:16):
back then, they closed the gates super early. I think
it was Jet Blue, like they closed it super early
and said, yeah, that's our policy now. And I think
it's changed since. So I got stranded in JFK airport
for like ten hours. I got hammered twice, got ripped
sobered up, throwing back some throat burners at the airport bar,

(22:36):
then passed out on the floor laying on my luggage,
then woke back up. There was nothing else. Yeah, I
just just went back to the throat burners right afterwards,
and then hopped on the plane and slept again. But yeah,
JFK's kind. They could have definitely and they probably should have.
But I don't think I would have put up much
of a fight at that point. I didn't know that
the metal rod would would flare up, would would throw

(22:59):
off the every single time. I wasn't aware of that.
Do you, by the way, do you have pre check?

Speaker 3 (23:05):
No? I don't do I have priority? Like, oh, I'm like,
what is it something diamond or something like that, But
I've never I gotta do the clear whatever it is
TSA pre check.

Speaker 1 (23:17):
I asked our Lord and Savior Scott Shapiro one time.
I said, Hey, is the TSA pre check? Is that
worth it? He goes, Uh. The fact that nobody that
some people don't do it is shocking to me, and
it's unbelievable. They do a background check. If you pass,
you don't have to worry about taking your shoes off.

(23:38):
You don't have to worry about all that other stuff.
You walk in, you walk out. There's some airports like
Burbank Airport out here you can walk in and out
start to finish if you have tsa pre check in
like three and a half minutes, like walk right in,
there's my bag, and you're off and running from there
on out. But the point being if.

Speaker 3 (23:57):
You're going to run right, run on that. That's the point.
And did you know that artificial turf on football fields
cost thirty two percent more non contactnee injuries. Well, American
grass seat company Pennington is on a mission to ban
turf fields with their hashtag flip the Turf movement. So

(24:18):
go to Pennington dot com slash flip the Turf now
to learn more and sign the petition for teams to
hashtag flip the turf to real grass.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
That's a great point. And to further the point, yep
the latest free agent sweepstakes. And I don't know if
there's going to be an issue at the airport in Nashville,
and we are on in Nashville right now on the
zone our fine affiliate Nashville. But you may have yourself
an all Pro receiver back in the fold for the
Tennessee Titans, because DeAndre Hopkins is taking his first official

(24:52):
visit early next week and it's in Nashville to the
Tennessee Titans. So d Hop now, I don't recall him
mentioning Malik Willis or Ryan Tannehill or Will Levis amongst
those quarterbacks that he wanted to play for when he
was on that podcast that he did. I don't remember
any of that. I think it was im athlete. But nonetheless,
he's got some familiarity with the offensive coordinator Tim Kelly

(25:15):
there in Tennessee, who was in Houston with DeAndre Hopkins. Obviously,
Mike Rabel was an assistant in Houston as well too,
so some familiarity there. But d hop making his first
official visit, and then we get to wait and see
if he does it like Odell Beckham Junior and gets
arrested or thrown off a plane rather in Miami, if
he goes and visits the Dolphins. But nonetheless, d Hop

(25:37):
maybe going back to the AFC South first visit, which
I would think gives the Titans a little bit of
an edge if they're able to maybe sell him or
get him convinced on the idea of them still being
a playoff contender this upcoming season.

Speaker 3 (25:51):
Litt d Hop there, well, listen, he could be waiting,
like there's a lot of speculation in terms of his
number may being to be too high. It's interesting because
if Arizona releases releases d hop earlier and in free agency,

(26:13):
which it wouldn't have been wise to do so because
they were trying to get value out of it and
trade them. So they didn't let him go until they
figured that no one was going to trade for him.
But let's just say they were to let him go
and they were both on the open market at the
same time. Speaking of obj who we started the segment
off with, You're you're You can't tell me that that

(26:35):
DeAndre Hopkins wouldn't have been more valuable to Baltimore than
Odell Beckham Junior. So with that being said, I think
with that logic, he may be waiting for the opportunity
to go to a team that that has that ability
or has that contender. You know, team put together personnel

(26:59):
wise and need one more piece, and you can never
have too many white receivers, but white receivers is one
of those positions where they can go down. So I mean,
if you were to ask me, do you think that
a OBJ will make it through the season healthy, I
would say the odds are against him. There are some

(27:20):
guys that, you know, I mean, you look at who
is it that went out with the Rams that that
they said Cooper Cup goes out with an injury. I
think Hunter Renfro didn't Hunter Renfro go out.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
He got banged up, So I think he might have
dealt with a concussion last year as well too. It's like,
and to your point on DeAndre Hopkins him missing games
the past couple of years, Yeah, he dealt with you know,
some of the injuries in twenty twenty one. But the
reason why he missed games last year is because there
was obviously an issue late in the season with Arizona.

(27:54):
And also you know, he used some shampoo that had
the gas in it and he end up pissing hot
And it happens to the best of us here, Yeah, Shao,
Like you know, like listen, you get your hands on
the wrong bottle of b O five and next thing
you know, you think your Lance ARMSTRONGO five. Yeah, the
VO five, you know, a little PERP plus or something

(28:16):
like that. I mean, there's there is stuff out there
that I.

Speaker 3 (28:18):
Would have won with seltzon Blue, you know, cause that
stuff is strong. Boy makes you tingle.

Speaker 1 (28:23):
By the way, the first time you ever used Dandrew Fimpo,
how'd that feel? It was like I thought, Man, did
I did? I confuse this with detergent? Like I didn't
know what was happening.

Speaker 3 (28:32):
But pretty intense on your scalp.

Speaker 1 (28:33):
Yeah, I did the job. So so there's the there's
the update on DeAndre Hopkins making his first official visit
with the Tennessee Titans, and then we get to wait
and see whether or not he decides to go there
early next week.

Speaker 3 (28:45):
Just to say the note, you know, Mike Vrabel's saying
he doesn't want to have to be recruiting. You should
want to be here like Mike. You're might do, but
you gotta recruit right. Tennessee is a dope spot. They
got great food, but y'all aren't that good y'all. Y'all
had a moment in time where y'all looked as though

(29:06):
y'all were trending in the right direction, but that ain't
been been of late, you know, And so I don't
see unless the money makes sense which they do need
a receiver. They definitely need a receiver. I don't know
what the hell they was thinking when they let Aj
get up out of there.

Speaker 1 (29:24):
Oh free bus pissed when that happened.

Speaker 3 (29:26):
Yeah, I mean they do need a receiver, but I
don't know that they are a competitive team for a
Super Bowl berth. So I don't know how DeAndre Hopkins
is going to look at that. I don't know that
he looks at Ryan Tannehill as as an elite quarterback
that he would want to play with. So I find
that to be one of those visits that is just

(29:47):
making it more attractive, possibly to other other teams out
there that he's now starting to take visits as a
free agent.

Speaker 1 (29:56):
Yeah, it's two pros and a cup of Joe. Here
on Fox Sports Radio, Labarrio, Rington, Jonas Knox with you here.
We are going to get to another edition of in
case you missed it, coming up here shortly. But right now,
let's go ahead and take a visit with the one
and only Edmund the Great Garcia.

Speaker 4 (30:13):
Well, thank you, Jonas, appreciate that.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
Not much, no problem.

Speaker 4 (30:18):
Little NBA Finals action. Last night we had game number three.

Speaker 3 (30:21):
Hi Eddie, Hi, LeVar Hey, Good morning.

Speaker 4 (30:24):
Morning, Nuggets knocking off the Heats in Miami one oh
nine to ninety four. Now n koliokch Denver Starr had
a triple double. Not a big shock, He's gotten a
lot of those in the postseason, but this one was
a little unique. Thirty two points, twenty one rebounds, tennissists,
first ever thirty twenty ten triple double in Finals history.
And teammate Jamal Murray also had a triple double thirty

(30:46):
four points, ten boards, tenn assists. They are the first
teammates to have thirty point triple doubles in the same game,
not in Finals history, not in playoff history, in NBA history.
Denver helped Miami to twenty points in the third quarter.
The outscored in my nine in that quarter had helped
pull away Jimmy Butler in the lost twenty eight points
for Miami. Denver grabs a two to one series lead
in Game four Friday in Miami. To Baseball, we had

(31:08):
the Rays walking off with the two to one win
over the Twins with a Randy A. Rosarina solo homer
in the ninth inning, tap Bay increasing its major league
best lead record to forty five and nineteen overall twenty
eight and six. At home, Diamondbacks beat the Nationals six
to two. Arizona now a two game lead on La
A top the NLS, with the Dodgers losing to the
Reds eight to six. Will Benson to run walkoff homer

(31:30):
for Cincy and the Reds big time prospect Ellie de
la Cruz his first major league home run. He had
the Brewers over the Orioles ten to two. Milwaukee rookie
Joey Weimer two homers, drove in five Corbyn Burns had
eight shotout innings. Milwaukee all game and half up on
Pittsburgh for the top spot in the NL Central because
the Pirates lost to the A's nine to six. Oakland
scored seven runs in the first inning, took two of

(31:51):
three in the series from Pittsburgh to improved A fourteen
and fifty on the year. Rangers were shut out by
the Cardinals one I think John Flaherty six shoutout innings
he and three lows combining on a four yeah shutout.
Texas five game win streak is staffed. Braves over the
Mets seven to five. Mariners beat the Royal six to one.
Miami's Leuis Oris went two for threes, batting four oh three.
Now on the season. A game in Philadelphia but in

(32:12):
the Phillies and Tigers. Game in New York between the
Yankees and White Sox were postponed because of air quality
because of Canadian wildfires that had put smoke in the
air on the East.

Speaker 1 (32:24):
Coast there, which is wild. I mean, so yeah, we
like one thing that we are experts ought out here, wildfires, parties, wildfires,
like that's kind of our thing, Like you need a
wildfire expert where the guys to go to.

Speaker 3 (32:39):
They don't.

Speaker 1 (32:40):
They don't cancel a lot of games for wildfires out here.

Speaker 4 (32:43):
We have had some air quality issues right with some
football games and things like that, but this is not
This is I mean, California's big state. But for Canadian
wildfires to cancel games in pen Pennsylvania and New York State,
that does seem kind of wild.

Speaker 3 (32:58):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (32:59):
Do you think there's a little conspiracy going on there?
Eddie trying to move it around because they didn't want
to go ahead to head with the NBA Final. So
let's go with that. We can work on that. By
hour three, we'll have it all figured out. That's a
little wild. Yeah, that's a little wild. I mean, you
know the Iron Cheek who passed away.

Speaker 3 (33:16):
I did see that.

Speaker 1 (33:17):
Yeah, you know his final tweet that he said or
he was alive.

Speaker 5 (33:20):
I can imagine because he is a wild man. He
definitely is. Can you read it on the air f
the wildfires? His final tweet while live was f the wildfires.

Speaker 1 (33:35):
So you know etched in history that the Iron Cheek
at eighty one years old, love me the Iron Cheek.
So there's that.

Speaker 4 (33:45):
Yeah, yeah, I guess I make an official back to
LeVar Arrington and Jonas Knoxneytyrack dot Com, Fox Sports Radio Studios.

Speaker 1 (33:52):
Thank you, Edmund. By the way, the uh, I'm looking
through the Iron Cheeks tweets right now. I didn't even
know what this is in reference to Desperado. Why don't
you come to your senses, you dumb son of a bitch?
Like whatever that was, it's really uh, it was all
about it.

Speaker 4 (34:11):
So we were talking about on the Ben Maller Show
and Ben was like, what's your favorite Iron Treat memory.
I'm like, I just remember him and Nikolai Volkov, Oh yeah,
in the ring and they had like he had the
Iranian flag and Nikolai Volkov would sing the Russian national
anthem with that.

Speaker 1 (34:28):
I remember. I remember because I believed that it was
real when I was younger, and I remember listening to
the radio in the car with my mom when there
was a report that the Iron Chic and hacksaw Jim
Duggan got arrested for possession of marijuana and maybe some
other substances in a car. And I remember being really
confused because I could have sworn they just wrestled each other,

(34:50):
So why are they traveling in a car together. I
couldn't figure it out, And that was kind of my
first inkling that maybe, you know, this was a little
bit choreographed.

Speaker 3 (34:58):
So but the boo So you're saying it's fake.

Speaker 1 (35:02):
Well, listen, I'm not trying to ruin any uh any
you know, surprises for anybody out there. But you know
what was his move?

Speaker 4 (35:08):
The camel something.

Speaker 1 (35:12):
Great move. And by the way, he was a legitimate amateurs.

Speaker 4 (35:16):
I think he won an Olympic medal maybe or some
sort of international medals and was.

Speaker 1 (35:21):
A badass and offered to break Hogan's leg in a
match because I think Hogan had pissed some people off
and he and he was really upset with Hogan, so
he offered to legitimately break his leg in a match.
And he could do it because he was a real
bad ass.

Speaker 4 (35:36):
I remember he had those things he would throw his head.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
What were that was his workout exercise. They were like
not milk bottles, but they were beat No, they were
like what you are a great class act. Yeah maybe
there were those, yeah they but yeah, he would. He

(36:01):
was a man, just a tough guy, tough guy that
the iron cheek. So eighty one, yeah, eighty one years old.
Hell of a run. And by the way, his appearance
is on Howard Stern. Listen to those with earphones in
because uh, not appropriate in today's climate. I'll just find
that way. He really let it go there that show.

(36:21):

More Thing Everybody the Morning Jonas in case you missed it.
Earlier in the week, mister Zion Williamson, NBA star had
a very nice gender reveal party. He's going to be
a girl, Dad, pink, fireworks, the whole nine of.

Speaker 1 (38:22):
But since then it's gotten a little bit messy.

Speaker 7 (38:24):
If you happen to know miss Mariah Mills, famous adult entertainer,
do you know I uh, I know.

Speaker 1 (38:34):
She's famous over General Mills.

Speaker 3 (38:39):
Mariah Mills has had some General Miles. I'll tell you that.

Speaker 7 (38:43):
Miss Mariah Mills has since come to Twitter to call
out mister Zion Williamson for his uh. I don't know
if you would call it infidelity, whatever you would call it,
has blown him up, showing messages of him for you
to over to New Orleans, pay for her to come
to New Orleans, the whole nine Lots and lots of tweets, uh, so, yeah,
Zion Williamson's game has been put on blast.

Speaker 1 (39:03):
I mean, uh, you know, listen, a lot.

Speaker 3 (39:07):
Of people Laura mill what is she known for?

Speaker 7 (39:11):
She is an entertainer for the adult audiences.

Speaker 3 (39:16):
What does that mean?

Speaker 1 (39:17):
I don't know. It's getting thick though, I don't know.
I thank you coach Coach Belichick. Unaware of what she
does for work.

Speaker 3 (39:27):
Entertainment, that is correct, man.

Speaker 1 (39:28):
Some of these tweets that she fired off very graphic
in nature about their yeah.

Speaker 7 (39:36):
You know, and she is also said that she also
may be pregnant. Yeah, and is now being threatened by
the family of you know, Zion's now soon to be baby.

Speaker 1 (39:50):
Yeah. I mean, although Labar you kind of alluded to this.
But there's a lot of people that have mocked Zion
Williamson for not focusing on the right things.

Speaker 3 (40:00):
I would now have to tell them that I disagree.

Speaker 1 (40:03):
I would to.

Speaker 3 (40:04):
I mean, maybe he's focused on the right thing, you.

Speaker 1 (40:11):
Kind of thing.
