It's four am where I'm at.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
Nah, you know what time it is here. It's called
lotion time. That's what time it is. Go ahead, lather up, baby, butts,
lather up. What do you think about that?
Speaker 3 (01:34):
Brady?
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Yeah, it's lather up here, nice smooth listen, I got
dry hands, I work hard. What do you want from me?
Speaker 3 (01:42):
Why do you have to tell everyone that?
Speaker 2 (01:43):
Just you know, want people to be aware? So Lebar knows.
Ain't nothing change, Same old lotion, same old lotion time.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
How's Boulder?
Speaker 2 (01:53):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:53):
That was bott Brady, Denver, Boulder. It's awesome, Dever, we're
staying Denver. We commuted to Bolder. It's not too bad
of a drive. But I'll put it this way, there's
so much excitement around this game. We couldn't even get
hotels in Bolder. That's how that's how long they've been
booked really since the Dion Sanders hiring booked out for
(02:16):
this game. I mean for a lot of people who
don't know called about a Nebraska used to be one
of the greatest rivalries in college football back the late
eighties into the nineties really when both programs had it
going and court. So it's it's cool because the history
of it. It's awesome because of the excitement. I mean,
you know, this is a pro sports town and they're
(02:37):
excited about it. Like I would say the excitement for
Dion and CU has trump the excitement for the Broncos,
like and that's not an overstatement, and the nuts. Yeah,
I mean, I just like being around people, hearing the buzz,
people talking about it.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
It's all anyone talks about.
Speaker 5 (02:59):
But I will say this, I mean, it kind of
feels pivotal on the game tomorrow because I asked a
few people last time, like, well, what if what if
see you loses to Nebraska and they're.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
Like, oh no, we're still on. We're I was like, okay,
I was like all right.
Speaker 5 (03:15):
I mean I just I'm not sure, like what that
win loss. Mark needs to get to to keep people
to stay Biden or bought into this, But there's a
ton of buzz and excitement about it. It's it's unlike
anything I've I've seen.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
I mean, that's just the power of Deon Sanders. Man,
he's pretty pretty phenomenal dude.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
I mean, yeah, and Labar, you've been very bullish on
Nebraska and Matt Rule. Yeah, we'll see.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
You know, clearly I've been wrong at times, so but
I just you know, it's a ten team, and they
played a ten team out the gate, and we'll just
would just see how it plays out. But I mean, nonetheless,
like you said, I mean, even if they were to lose,
that shouldn't sap people of their confidence and their excitement
(04:06):
and what's going on with the program. I mean, the
program is clearly rejuvenated and revitalized, So that should be
the main focus, honestly, is to just continue to support
the team because there's a level of hope that has
just not been there. I mean, imagine the amount of
(04:27):
despair and anger and angst and disappointment and how they
had to go through each and every week last season.
You know, now you get a great feel good moment
right out of the gate.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
You know, ride that, you know, ride it out. So good.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Good for them, man, I mean being sold out like that,
like that's great, Like that's how it is in State College.
You know, you can't. It's just like stuff be sold out,
Like it doesn't matter who you are or how many
connections you have. It's it's it's just very very difficult
in certain towns to be able to get into a
(05:09):
hotel room.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
Man, are you not getting connected or hooked up when
you go? Yeah? Come on, bar, is that why you're
leading to? Is that why you said that? No, I'm
staying in I'm staying in State College. I see.
Speaker 5 (05:22):
I'm pretty sure there's a graduate hotel in State College, right,
there is a graduate there is.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
Yeah, there is.
Speaker 5 (05:27):
I think I think you've got a room now, buddy,
anytime you go back there, you've got a place to stay.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
That would be I mean, that would be most certainly
the most excellent setup. But interestingly enough, I'm not staying
out of graduate tonight, you know, staying at it this one.
So you know, maybe we got to figure that one out.
But I heard that's in the works, you know, I heard.
I heard there's been some great topics and and and
(05:53):
apparently we're going to be together when we do it right,
when I do it. Nothing that's we're hoping that that's
what I'm hearing, man, is at least at least one
time if all three of us end up in state
college together.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
Yeah, let Brady and I take you around like two
ten and Zimbi's and some of the other.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
I gotta take you the Champs. Champs is the one
that's going to get us.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
Man, We got you covered ten to get you, but
you got enough time to recover.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
Champs is the one that's going to have you.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
We're going to be looking at each other like the Bachelor,
you know, and you know when they went to Vegas,
and we'll go up with Mike Tyson and then the Tiger.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
We'll drink some. We'll drink some Matt mcgloy and eleven loggers.
Speaker 5 (06:43):
You know.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
There you go, we'll do it up.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
Do they still sell those?
Speaker 2 (06:48):
Sure they do. Why wouldn't they want? Hey, by the way,
on the Colorado you that'll be t for what Because
I'm trying to let you know that.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
Brady Politicket, it's never going to happen because there's too
many good football the great high profile football players that
were the number eleven. But I'd be politicking to get
it just for defense. And somebody brought it up the
other day, Hey, they would be correct, Sam, Well, you
(07:21):
don't get that fine, so you can't be passive aggressive?
Speaker 3 (07:23):
I thought, why did I think he was fourteen? He
was eleven? No, I think because Clifford was. He was
there for so long.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
Clifford was, but somebody else got who else was for
I want to say, yes, good call.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
Yeah, But anyway, Sam Gash is really the original sticks
of Penn State. So you know, you get your propers
because that that's a grown man right there.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
So that's right.
Speaker 5 (07:54):
All I know is when I went back and watched
that tape because I heard how he kept talking down
on the defense, I'm like, when they give up seven
points the whole game, whatever it was, I.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
Was like, we did have been that bad. And I'm
watching him thinking, oh, I know why he's mad. I know,
I know why he's saying that. Now, why do you
want to say? Where? Where? Where are you going with this? Well?
You you were not happy about you know.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
The way my baby played? He got to do this week?
He gotta he gotta step it out.
Speaker 5 (08:21):
Because I was watching something, I was like, oh, I
can't I know LeVar well enough now to know exactly
what he's thinking. And this is what happened and missed this,
miss that missed this. I was like, man, he's not
gonna be happy about that. And then there was there
was one disrespectful thing that happened. I'm like, oh no,
I was like, don't let LeVar see that. He will
definitely be mad about it.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
Well, I called the game, and you know, you got
to control your emotions. I did my UH, I did
my call with with UH the person that that is
in charge of me and telling me what I need
to do. And yeah, I watched it very closely, but
I did miss a few things because I did at
(09:00):
times get locked in on certain people on the field.
So but they got to do better this week. They will,
they'll do better. Not concerned at all. He'll be there.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
Has it hit you what Saturday is going to be
your your son plays for Delaware.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
It's pretty wild and he's going to be on.
Speaker 2 (09:19):
The field that you used to play on, going against
Penn State. If that was me, I would burst into
tears the second I saw him out.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
I might try not to.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
That's pretty cool, man, But.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
I might not be able to win that battle. You know, yeah,
I might not win that battle right now? You know,
it's a pretty pretty pretty cool thing. You know, he's
a special kid. I got I got some really really
awesome kids, man, So you know that I'm not I'm
not shocked and surprised that he's achieving at the level
that he is. But it's it's nonetheless that school means
(09:56):
everything to me.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
Penn State.
Speaker 1 (09:58):
If you know me, you know know how much Penn
State means to me and what that community has meant
to me and our love affair and my son to be.
Speaker 3 (10:09):
There, you know, and we're all going like we're loading up.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
Today, like soon as soon as the show's over, we're
we're jumping on a bird and we're all going so
for all of you know, man, man's a four star, which,
by the way, that whole Colorado deal Man, you know,
they already offered him and you know they they really
are high on them and want them there. And Man's
looking at me like, you know, it's got organ out
(10:35):
there and stuff like that, but it's it's like you
got one that's like he's almost like a Can I
ask you a question about that?
Speaker 3 (10:42):
Yeah? Are you curious to see?
Speaker 5 (10:44):
Because how how long until he would like what class
is he.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
Going to be?
Speaker 1 (10:48):
Is he graduate, he'll be a senior next year. Yeah,
he's twenty twenty five then, right, twenty five. Yeah, So
my question is like two factor and what is just
do not even there?
Speaker 3 (11:02):
I factor it all in, you know, I factor it
all in.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
But you know that's and I guess that's why I've
been taking like a more critical look. Like people might
have been like, well, why is LeVar wondering about his
health or this, that and the other, and then you
listen to like, well will he be there? It's like, well,
cause mine son might want to go there, you know,
so I wouldn't want him to turn into a transfer portal.
Speaker 3 (11:29):
Guy.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
I believe that there's something to be said about college legacy,
like I really do, and leaving your mark and having
a place to call home.
Speaker 3 (11:42):
You know.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
I just think this transfer portal is stripping these young
men from the opportunity to experience what you know, we
experience right now. Q. Like, maybe it's hard to see
the value of that in the moment when you're seventeen
eighteen years old, but there's a tremendous value to being
(12:03):
able to go back home, like that's my home, Like
I call Pitton State State College is like more so
my home than any other place, even where I grew up.
Like I love Pittsburgh, but Pittsburgh kind of comes in
in a second place, like it doesn't win the race
in terms of when I touch down, Like I kissed
(12:25):
the ground every time I touch down in State College.
Speaker 3 (12:27):
When we land boom, I come off the.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
Airplane, I kiss the ground because that's that's my ground.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
Hold on, so you kiss the actual like the aspectual
little aspholt on the jetway on. Can you have someone
film you do this the next time?
Speaker 5 (12:43):
Because I've been to that airport now, and that's how
you get off the plane off like a stairs. That's correct,
You walk down on the right off them stairs, right
off them, so you don't wait till you get on
like campus, like that ground, you know, kiss like that's
the last time I touched the ground. Q I float
the rest of the time.
Speaker 3 (13:01):
I float. So I kissed the ground and that's the
last time. And then I love it.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
You have someone are you already there? It's such an
emotional moment. I don't even know. Someone would have to
know to catch it. In other words, for it to happen,
because I'm not going to stop and be like, make
sure you catch me kissing the ground. Let'd me create
content though, it's just such an amazing moment for me.
Speaker 3 (13:23):
In some content, I see the content. Yeah, I do
put out content for certain, That's what I'm saying. Man,
that'd be good content.
Speaker 5 (13:29):
Penn State fans get out of brenement on there he
should blowing up on.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
Here's what you do. You get, you get down, you
kiss the ground, and then you point to your sneakers
right afterwards.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
No, what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna get down,
I'm gonna kiss the ground. Then I'm going to de
robe and start throwing my stuff while my cell phone
is still to the people.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
That was on the planet. Yeah, and you know what's crazy.
Speaker 1 (13:52):
I could de robe be and my skippies and and
in my socks and in my shoes, and they would
still be like right this way, mister Rrington. Like, you know,
they don't call me mister Rrington. They call me LeVar.
Nobody calls me mister Arrington. Everybody calls me LeVar. So
there you go, floating. I'd be floating in my drawers.
Speaker 2 (14:14):
And by the way, I know exactly what you're talking about.
Every time I go to chuck e cheese. I get out,
I kiss the parking lot, and when I walk in there,
I float right by the ballpit.
Speaker 3 (14:22):
They're like, man, there's one of the original rats.
Speaker 2 (14:24):
Spent a lot of my affordable years there, so it's
very right by the balls, just right by that.
Speaker 3 (14:31):
I could see that too. I could see that too.
Speaker 1 (14:36):
By We didn't throw the old alehouse in there either. Man,
we got to go to the alehouse. You gotta like
that spot. That's like a O G spot, you know,
that's how top trees, that top trees area. You go
sit out there like they make great drinks. Food is good.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
It's like a real grown up, grown grown the area,
you know, grown spots.
Speaker 2 (14:55):
Let Brady and I kind of you know, quarterback this thing.
We know all the spots there.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
Yeah, yeah, man, we're going if that happens, bro, that's
I know, we wobble wobbled and stumbled on on on dublin,
but you know we hopefully we can you know, get
it right this time.
Speaker 3 (15:14):
Yeah. Well hey man, me me, I can get it right.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
Yeah, it's all good.
Speaker 5 (15:18):
Yeah, Well, like I said, it honestly isn't maybe even
you guys. It's hopeful this our schedule works out. Yeah, yeah,
that was information yesterday. I was like, oh, okay, well
maybe not change some things. What do you get that,
I mean, do we do.
Speaker 3 (15:34):
Here's what I'll say.
Speaker 5 (15:35):
I'll give y'all a peak behind the scenes for Big
New kickoff.
Speaker 3 (15:39):
Man.
Speaker 5 (15:39):
We do picks like six days twelve days out. So
people are like, hey, you guys know we're going to
be next. I'm like, no, we don't. Like there's certain
games where were like, we're pretty sure we're going to
be there, but there's other weeks where were like, yeah,
I don't know. It's like between three different places and
they are not anywhere close to each other in the country.
So yeah, I'm even I'm excited to know too, just
just like y'all are.
Speaker 2 (16:01):
Oh. Man, Well, it is two pros and a cup
of Joe. Here on Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn,
Jonas knock to the air and we are brought to
you by Draft King Sportsbook. Looking to turn a small
bet into a big payday. With DraftKings Sportsbook, same game parlays,
you can pocket more cash when you can find multiple
bets from one game. For example, we've been talking about
(16:22):
LeVar Arrington he was the star at Penn State. You
know who drafted him, the Washington Commanders. And the Washington
Commanders are a seven point favorite against the awful Arizona Cardinals.
And can you believe it? The point total in that
is thirty eight. How could you not sit there and
look at Washington minus seven and a point total of
thirty eight? Not think man, Eric Banam. He's gonna want
(16:45):
to run up the score and make a statement as
the brand new offensive coordinator in Washington. So you look
at that and you go Commanders minus seven over thirty eight.
How's that for a parlay? And you can get it
all on DraftKings. Download the app, sign up with code
two pro, then get a special offer. Restrictions apply see
DraftKings dot com Slash sportsbook for details. All right, so
(17:06):
coming up next here on Two Pros and a Cup
of Joe, we're going to talk about brutal honesty in
the NFL. There's a future Hall of Famer who told
the truth about your favorite NFL team. Find out what
it is here on FSR.
Speaker 4 (17:21):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
Ohint Cleff, two Pros and a Cup of Joe. Fox
Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you
here coming up in we'll call it about twenty minutes
from now from the tiraq dot com studios. We're gonna
bring back an oldie, but a goodie. We're gonna spread
them picks against the spread lead to Lap's gonna take
five games in the NFL this weekend, and he's gonna
(17:58):
throw him at us. He's not gonna tell him what
games they are, so we can't cherry pick and pull
from some games we really like, like maybe Washington minus
seven or something like that.
Speaker 3 (18:07):
Oh yeah, I'll say this much. I was awful in
over unders.
Speaker 5 (18:12):
I mean, it didn't help when I got the news
that Kelsey wasn't even dressing last night, as I go.
Speaker 2 (18:17):
Yeah, by the way, how soon do you think they
knew Kelsey wasn't playing. I'm gonna go in say, I mean.
Speaker 3 (18:23):
That came out though, how many hours before?
Speaker 2 (18:26):
I think two?
Speaker 5 (18:29):
No, it was way it was way more than that.
I don't like that news came out.
Speaker 3 (18:33):
Man.
Speaker 5 (18:33):
I want to say around probably three eastern kickoff was
at what time? A twenty Yeah, it was at least
five hours ahead of time. I really thought they were
going to drag it out until they had to make
the final you know, roster decision, who's dressing, who's not,
But they just they called that off way early.
Speaker 3 (18:54):
In the day. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
Well, listen, the Detroit Lions get it done and congratulations,
they're one to zero. And so it does bring up
the question, are the Detroit Lions of potential Super Bowl contender?
Because somebody in the NFL, and that's somebody being Aaron Rodgers,
who took time out of his busy UFO watching schedule
(19:15):
to announce with an interview with the media. And we'd
love to play the sound for you, but the sound
is awful. There's guys, you know, snapping towels on each
other in the background and like all these.
Speaker 5 (19:26):
Oh yeah stuff that's really common, nap towels.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
Yeah, you know, the older.
Speaker 3 (19:33):
You guys used to do that.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
Washington, right, Oh yeah, I could have really damn I
could have really went down a dark road right there
and and totally messed this all.
Speaker 3 (19:43):
Up. But yeah, and why not?
Speaker 2 (19:45):
It's Friday, who cares here?
Speaker 1 (19:47):
It seems like they did it and no, never mind, no, no.
Speaker 5 (19:51):
Boy, you know they're not doing it in Cleveland. Those
those towels don't snap.
Speaker 2 (19:55):
No, they don't. Those are ninja stars.
Speaker 1 (19:58):
Oh no, I won't say Pennsylvania. All right, there we go,
all right, so there you go.
Speaker 2 (20:06):
Okay, So we transition smoothly from that over to the
fact that we couldn't play the sound of Aaron Rodgers
because the sound is awful and there's a bunch of
noise in the background. But Rogers did say that every
year there are six to twelve teams that can probably
win a Super Bowl, and this year the Jets are
one of those teams. And I think he's absolutely right.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
Without having seen them play one game in regular season.
Speaker 3 (20:32):
That rosters about that.
Speaker 2 (20:33):
That roster's pretty stacked, and it's Aaron Rodgers. I feel
comfortable saying they're one of the six to twelve teams
that could win a Super Bowl.
Speaker 5 (20:40):
I don't know if we're saying six, we're saying six.
Sure on the shore list to is it Kansas City?
Even despite the loss, we still give them the benefit
of doubt.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
They're won.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
Kansas City, Cincinnati, Philly.
Speaker 5 (20:52):
That's the top threefc AFC Kansas City, Cincinnati, Buffalo Yep, okay.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
See Philly, Philly, San Fran, Dallas.
Speaker 3 (21:08):
I mean, is that who we're saying?
Speaker 2 (21:11):
That's not I'm not uh I I picked Dallas.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
Dallas, Dallas. I'm just not in it. And who would
be the sixth Seattle over Dallas?
Speaker 3 (21:20):
Wow? Okay, that's Bowls Sattle all right.
Speaker 5 (21:26):
I I concocted a list. I think I got thirteen
in this list. But here's the thirteen teams that I
thought maybe could be a part of Aaron Rodgers twelve.
Obviously that the previously mentioned Buffalo, Cincinnati, case, Philly, San Fran, Dallas.
Speaker 3 (21:44):
Now we got the Jets yep.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
Baltimore, Yes, Jacksonville, LA, Chargers, Yes, Chargers Jacksonville Yes.
Speaker 3 (21:56):
That the question marks come in like the.
Speaker 5 (21:59):
Steelers, purg Yeah, count Pittsburgh, Miami, New England. Like like
where exactly do you drop the line, and like how
are we drawing the line?
Speaker 3 (22:09):
All right?
Speaker 5 (22:11):
Because I look at it more as like two things, ownership,
track record and then quarterback. And in some of these cases,
like you look at the organizations, you're like well, yeah,
they're gonna make moves, They're gonna do everything they can
to try to, you know, make a Super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (22:25):
There's other organizations in the league.
Speaker 5 (22:27):
You're like, yeah, they got no shot because they don't
want to win a super Bowl necessarily.
Speaker 3 (22:31):
They want to want to run a profitable business.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
So according to the odds on DraftKings and an other
this isn't just DraftKings, but it's elsewhere. Obviously, Kansas City, Philly, Buffalo,
the Niners, the Bengals, and then the Cowboys are on
that list. And then there's a team in between the
Cowboys and the Jets before we get to the Ravens
and the Chargers, which are also on that list that
(22:56):
we missed. So there's one team that's been missing that
according to the odds.
Speaker 3 (23:02):
New Orleans no.
Speaker 2 (23:04):
M Miami Nope, NFC team, NFC Team Giants, Washington No No.
The Detroit Lions Detroit, Yeah, so I mean but and also, look,
Goff played in the Super Bowl. He didn't play well,
(23:25):
but he has performed in playoff games and played well,
and it seems like Detroit is the best team in
that division. So they're on that short list as well too,
at least according to the odds. I don't think they're
a super Bowl team, but at least according to the ods.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
I think people might be surprised with how things play
out in the NFC North this year.
Speaker 3 (23:47):
I'll just say that who you got? Who got?
Speaker 1 (23:53):
I mean, while I don't think we got your NFC
North winner, I feel I did give the NFC North,
didn't I do believe that winner. I believe Detroit will
win the North. But I would not be shocked. I
would not be shocked if green Bay is better than
what maybe people are anticipating. And I wasn't really high
(24:17):
on green Bay, but I just I just feel like
everything that I've heard that's come out of green Bay,
like if if Jordan Love wasn't prepared to do what
he needed to do as the quarterback of this team,
I think there would have been a lot more media
coverage on green Bay.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
By now I see what's happening here.
Speaker 1 (24:41):
I just I think I think I think Jordan Love
might sneak up on some people this year.
Speaker 3 (24:46):
Man. Yeah, I don't know. I mean, I just I
don't know.
Speaker 1 (24:51):
I just feel like there would have been more intended
bold prediction. Yeah, how bold we get in this bold prediction. Well,
I did say Detroit is going to win the division.
So I had Green Bay in yesterday as a wildcard team.
Speaker 3 (25:07):
Did I have green Bay in as a wildcard? A wildcard?
Speaker 1 (25:11):
Yeah see, I do think the Vikings will make it
as the wildcards.
Speaker 3 (25:16):
I had Minnesota winning it and then green Bay as
a wildcard. Yeah see, I kind of I usual.
Speaker 1 (25:25):
I think the NFC North is just one of them
teams or one of those divisions where it could it
could heat up and be an interesting division to pay
attention to.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
Yeah, I feel like this is all because Sean Clifford
at age forty three is that backup quarterback.
Speaker 3 (25:41):
You gotta be clowning man to be forty three, isn't
he forty three?
Speaker 2 (25:45):
League checked that forty two? Okay here, I feel like
cliff dogs. Yeah, you know, I feel like maybe there
might be some of that there. Look, I had the
Bears as a wild card team.
Speaker 3 (26:03):
Yeah you did.
Speaker 5 (26:05):
Yeah, tea next year maybe, but they're like setting up
for you know, next year, I think.
Speaker 3 (26:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
But that being said, Rogers has got his six to
twelve teams.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
But how do you guys feel about that?
Speaker 1 (26:19):
I mean, it's it's he's he's telling you guys, I mean,
obviously he went there for a reason.
Speaker 5 (26:24):
So hold on, As a player, did you not think
at one point, like once you started actually like when
you're playing in the NFL, like as a rookie, you're like, oh, yeah,
we all have a chance. Yeah, and then you're like, oh, no,
we don't. We just got to try to go out
there and win every week.
Speaker 3 (26:40):
For game?
Speaker 1 (26:41):
What year, just what year, what they're doing. It probably
would have been year three of a seven year a
seven year career. They usually say, though I thought when
I went to New York, I thought we were going
to win the super Bowl, and we won it the
(27:02):
next year.
Speaker 3 (27:04):
But year three in Washington, I was like, we fing suck.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
Usually say it's between year two and year four.
Speaker 1 (27:11):
It was year three for me, year three, and then
that's when I started really really I started focusing then
on what my post football.
Speaker 3 (27:21):
Career would look like. Year three.
Speaker 5 (27:24):
Wait, Jonas, do you mean not year two, not year four,
but in between? Or you're saying, does an encompass year two, two,
year three and four?
Speaker 3 (27:34):
No.
Speaker 2 (27:34):
Usually like that, you start to get the vibe, like
things start to move in the direction once year three kicks.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
In, gotcha, what do you mean in the direction of
losing hope or the direction of you want to win?
Speaker 2 (27:46):
Like like you know that this could be.
Speaker 5 (27:50):
Took It took me to get traded until I realized
like how things are done different.
Speaker 3 (27:56):
You know. It was like once you get to a
different organization than you're like, all right.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
Yeah, because you don't have you don't have a staff
infection outbreak in the locker room.
Speaker 3 (28:04):
No, it's just you, like the little things are so apparent.
It's so apparent.
Speaker 5 (28:10):
How like the trainers are, the resources, the equipment guys,
You're like, you're like, oh wow, Like I don't have
to worry about like little things here and there.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
Well, here's three quick examples. How about three cook examples.
And Pittsburgh, the Rooneyes don't have they don't have reserved
parking spaces. So one day a guy I heard the story.
One day guy was parked at the back of the
lot because he came in closer towards the time where
guys needed to be there versus guys getting there earlier.
(28:42):
He gets out of his car, he's walking into the
facility and he's walking with one of the Rooneyes, and
he's like, you're you're the owner of the team, why
you park back here? You're like, you know, because I
got here late. That's a difference. In Washington, you got
a son of the owner and he's got a pool
stick and one of the owner's suites box not the box,
(29:07):
but like the lounge area, and is going to war
on the surface of that pool table, like almost ripping
it up with the pool stick.
Speaker 3 (29:18):
Q right.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
But then in New York you have the sons of
the owners and they're carrying people's helmets and making sure
their lockers are clean, and they're getting paid to basically
locker porter, you know, as the grandkids, the sons and
grandsons of the mayor and the Tisch family.
Speaker 3 (29:42):
So it's like this.
Speaker 1 (29:44):
Very very clear like examples of doing it the right
way doing it the wrong way. Like you're sitting there
and you're looking at like you like they're watching the
kid tear up the pool table.
Speaker 2 (29:59):
How old is the kid?
Speaker 1 (30:00):
And and the security was around like don't touch him, Like,
don't touch the kid.
Speaker 2 (30:04):
How old was he?
Speaker 3 (30:05):
I don't remember, I don't remember, but he was young.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
He was you fell on a pool tables expensive, So
I think he's out.
Speaker 1 (30:11):
Of line for that he was going to. I wasn't there,
but the source was a very reliable source. They had
my saying they shared my last name, and when they
told just put to you like this.
Speaker 3 (30:25):
My mom, it was a little Danny sweep.
Speaker 1 (30:28):
It was in the owners like you know, like they
had like all these lounges. Yeah, you know, like where
the bar is and you get the food and stuff
like that or whatever. It's like, you know, you go
out in a general population area and that's off of
the owner's boxes, right.
Speaker 3 (30:44):
Like, So my mom says she.
Speaker 1 (30:47):
Would have she would have whatever age, she would have
put me over her life, and she would have went
to work like with reprimanding and punishment.
Speaker 3 (30:57):
So we're talking about little Danny spot, is what you're saying.
Speaker 1 (30:59):
Yeah, I'm just saying it was a reflection of how
the organization was ran as well.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
I just thought of something, Brady, if you're looking for
another business venture, you should open up a pool supply
shop called Q's. Q's. You know, well done, q Q.
Speaker 3 (31:20):
There you go. Although and that's what you thought. I mean,
it's refelting still a big thing for pool tables.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
I don't know, that's as long as there's a pool table,
You gotta re you gotta at some point you got
to redo them.
Speaker 3 (31:30):
To do it. I feel like t know the etiquette though,
you know, yeah, but they get worn down.
Speaker 1 (31:36):
If if you're if you're a pool person that that
you know it'll get worn down.
Speaker 3 (31:41):
Then you got to like, you know, resurface it. You know.
I don't know if that's the proper terminology, but.
Speaker 1 (31:47):
Anyways, just the point of how things are done, Like
one place that that that Rooney was taught to to
treat the people that work for you a certain type
of way, you know, and the people in New York
they were they're being taught to treat the people a
certain type of way because at some point they're going
(32:09):
to take over the team. They're going to run that team,
and so it's it's important to understand the importance of
how you run an organization and how it works with
treating people like people and what that looks like.
Speaker 3 (32:27):
The respect factor.
Speaker 1 (32:28):
Went to a whole nother level for mister Rooney in
that moment, because it's like he's one of us. The
respect factor goes to a whole nother level when one
of the Tish kids is asking you, you know what
else would you like for your locker, you know, and
it's like, well, I like bubblicious gum and you're getting
(32:51):
it for me in my locker, and you're going to
own this team in twenty thirty forty years.
Speaker 3 (32:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (32:59):
And that's just.
Speaker 1 (33:00):
Teaching the principles, man, the principles and the values of
how to do things the right way, is the point
I'm making.

We wanted to have a full we were to like
an open segment, like an open platform for our picks
against the spread. It's the first time we want to
make sure we got everything dialed in, so We're going
to spread them next hour here on the show. Speaking
of spread them, the hell's going on with Chandler Jones?
Speaker 5 (36:08):
Man, So they understand because I don't know that this
has been like completely mainstream, but give us a rundown
of all what's transpired with Channel Jones.
Speaker 2 (36:22):
Of late Okay, So he took to social media a
couple of days ago, and we discussed this yesterday on
the program and just sort of talked about how he's
not able to get in on the gym. He dropped,
you know, the N word a couple of times in
these posts.
Speaker 3 (36:37):
He talked about you know that.
Speaker 2 (36:41):
Thing that I can't say what but or Brady or
anybody else for that matter, now you know you know
what I mean. But point is he dropped that a
couple of times. He also talked about not being allowed
in the team facility to use the gym. Why did
you trade for me? There was a back and forth
with his ex. He talked about a BM, which I'm
(37:02):
assuming is a baby mama after Brady pointed that out
in these DM.
Speaker 1 (37:07):
And you said I was supposed to know what a
BM was, Yeah, Well did you not know?
Speaker 3 (37:13):
I didn't know what BM meant?
Speaker 2 (37:14):
Honestly really no, Okay, I'm not saying this to be funny,
but in medicine, if you go to a hospital, a
BM means boo movement.
Speaker 3 (37:24):
Oh that's right. Yeah, they run on the charts because
they tracked that right like BM this time.
Speaker 1 (37:30):
I would have been like a black man personally if
I her BM, like black man, what do we do here?
Speaker 3 (37:39):
Easy one?
Speaker 2 (37:39):
We do a professional show. For God's sakes, thank you.
Speaker 1 (37:42):
That just would have been my first thought of if
you threw BM out and said that, LeVar, you know
what BM means, like that's That's.
Speaker 3 (37:49):
What I would have thought.
Speaker 2 (37:50):
Well, the moral of the story is black magic that
Chandler Jones took the social media and aired out the Raiders.
Speaker 3 (37:58):
He deleted the mouse tweet.
Speaker 2 (38:00):
Then he took to Instagram late on Wednesday night and
he wrote, Raiders sent her to my place. You need
to come with us. You're in danger. And it was
a member of a crisis response team that was sent
to his home because they were very concerned about it.
(38:21):
He went on to say, they had me outside of
my draws, lol, naked. That lady was rude. Then I
got to showing her some of them texts and then
she switched up. Buddy from the Raiders tried to give
me the look like, don't say anything. Now, I understand
why players turned to social media. At first, I frowned
upon it, but it's our only outlet. If I didn't
(38:43):
do this, it would have been kept under wraps. Anybody
interviewed them and asked them why I'm not with the
team because I don't know. Y'all. See how Buddy talked
to me like I'm an item, lmao. Look at my
text and look at his talking about the back of
the red that.
Speaker 5 (39:00):
Though, that's the voice you hear to see talking about
Like I'm not following this whole story.
Speaker 2 (39:06):
Somebody from someone, Josh McDaniels.
Speaker 3 (39:09):
Someone a wellness check.
Speaker 2 (39:10):
Yeah, they sent him a wellness check. Concerned about the
posts on social media. Bottom line is if he wants
a trade, at least this is a different approach to
trying to get a trade. You know, at least it's unique.
You know that's it originality, you know there's something to it.
So there you go. There's your Chandler Jones update
