Eastern time, six o'clock Pacific here on fs are. I
(01:05):
just want to open up the hour by saying screw
you to Brady Quinn. Um. You have stirred up a
a storyline. I don't know narrative is the right word.
But you have all of a sudden gotten some attention
because you claimed that I look like one of those
villains off the old Superman whatever. I mean, just when
(01:25):
you wear all black, when you slick your hair back
like that, you end up kind of, you know, looking
like a villa. Okay, cool. The guy looks like he
has a giant is um or something. I don't look
anything like him. I don't definitely not that. I don't
know aust that's correct. In my case, it would be
(01:49):
termite itis. But we'll leave that alone. So here's here's
the problem. The beard, the the you know, the eye structure.
It's just not the same. It's not even close. But
because here it's pretty close. It's not because you you
said it though, because you have a great reputation in
the world of sports media and beyond. Uh. You know,
nobody wants to say no to Brady Quinn. So they're
(02:10):
just running with this. And I got people sending pictures
of these idiots from some Superman movie from years ago. Superman,
It's not it's not cool. I wasn't Superman Superman the
original touch this, here's the thing. Uh. And then and
so I got people that are that are running with
that discussion out there, So that's insulting and offensive. But
(02:33):
then we do want to you know. Uh. Aaron tweeted
at us and said that, uh, you know, it's her birthday.
She's listening to the show, and she said she started
a new job that is actually pretty near to a
doublin Ohio. The home Brady Quinn, how about that? That's
how Yeah. Yeah, and she'll see Wendy old Wendy Thomas
(02:54):
gallivanting around town. Yeah. Is Wendy Thomas like a real personally? Yeah?
I was. Uh, I saw Wendy. Let's see. So Wendy's
his headquartered in Dublin, and I saw Wendy herself. She
was in a Talian restaurant that, unfortunately we weren't able
to get to when you came to visit in town
for my charity golf outing. But we did see her
(03:15):
and I'm pretty sure she was in a private room.
I don't want to say the restaurant, but she was
in a private room and I'm pretty sure Pat cropped
us to the room. But walking the sale, I swear
to you we we were eating in the back and
as we as we you know, we're leaving out the
front the private rooms like right off to the side,
(03:36):
and I'm pretty sure we went in to say hi.
He popped into and you know, kind of did his dead.
But so your your buddy Pat, who is a savage,
decided to decided to leave a little bit of a bouquet,
uh for for the owner and founder of Wendy's. That's nice.
What a classy guy who knows he might even be
featured and uh, you know the latest edition of Headliner,
(03:58):
like coming up later the hour. Yeah, he definitely will
be him and him and the meat Wagon. But anyway, Aaron,
happy birthday, enjoy the new job, hope you enjoy everything,
and uh cheerful, tall, dark, handsome guy named Pat. Just unbelievable.
By the way, did you ever think growing up in
(04:20):
the hometown of Wendy's that you would be doing commercials
for Wendy's when you got older. That's pretty cool. I
never actually thought of it until you just brought it
up in this moment. Yeah, okay, very good way way
to play along. Sarah has Folks, Brady Quinn the the
face of doublin Ohio. Um. You know, listen, I never
envisioned myself like being on TV. If I was, it
(04:42):
was through playing sports. That was the only way I
envisioned that, And I really had never thought about that.
I just I always love playing sports, man, Alright, I
like the actual sport itself, not the stuff that comes
with it. More believable or more unbelievable that you would
be in a commercial for Wendy's, or that you would
be in a commerce so for Wendy's alongside Matt Lioner
(05:02):
and Reggie Bush. Oh because I would, Yeah, yeah, because
that that seemed pretty far fetched. Years ago when they
cheated to win at in South Bend, seemed pretty far fetched.
By the way, I had money on that game. I
bet on you guys, just wanted for the record, not
even making that up legitimately bet on then I think
it was a spread, and I think, yeah, I think
(05:24):
I think I did win. But I was rooting for
you guys to uh to win that game. But you know,
USC cheated, which is so rare for them. Just yeah, it.
It is so rare. All right, So we continue on
here on Fox Sports Radio. UM, and we'd like to
say goodbye. I would like to pay say farewell, UM,
(05:47):
so long appreciate all your contributions over the past couple
of years. As the COVID nineteen protocols and the NFL
are gone. That is a wrap, folks. Uh, you can
kiss our ass. That is a wrap. COVID nineteen protocols.
Bye bye, the league and the players Association. I have said,
uh a, we are done with this. They have suspended
(06:09):
the COVID nineteen protocols. So Brady Quinn, it feels like
we might might actually have a normal looking season when
it comes to those protocols are not protocols next year
in the NFL. Good ridden. So remember we talked about
how there's a group that is not gonna want this
to end like that. The last thing they want is
to hear this news because then they can't talk about
(06:30):
it and they can't use as an excuse to actually
show up and work or you know, travel and go
to things. That very reality came tree yesterday and I'm
not gonna again, I'm not gonna name names, but I
walked on set and you could hear people behind people
around they were extremes, like it was almost like they
(06:51):
were scared. They're like, oh no, no, Now we have
to go into this life where I actually have to
show up and go into person to work in the NFL,
or have to travel full or I have to go
and interview these players face to face. Like how's that
gonna work. I mean, we've been through basically two years
of these protocols where if you look at the way
some jobs were impacted, like they'll never go back to
(07:13):
what they were pre COVID, And there's there's companies now
that have saved money on travel because they've rather interview
via zoom and and they're just gonna stay with that model.
They're not gonna change. But a lot of these reporters,
a lot of these people who are national media members,
they got cushy, they got comfortable with all this, and
now they're gonna have to actually go out week by
(07:36):
week and see people, see games, do all this stuff,
go to all these events, and there's a portion of
them that is absolutely frustrated by it, and they're like
scared to admit it because then it makes them look
like they're lazy with their job. But I swear to
you right now. That was the reaction I got from
some media members who were upset and frustrated, and they're like,
(07:57):
well until the next thing comes around, And they almost
tried to literally make up. They almost tried to literally
make up, like another pandemic is coming, Like well, I'm
just I'm telling you, I'm for shutting right now. Another
one's coming and this is all gonna shut back down again.
They were so frustrated by it. And I sat there
thinking to myself, like I was so thankful to walk
(08:17):
into the cobbine this year, which you know, we didn't
have it last year, right and we so we hadn't
had in two years. That was the last thing that
I was a part of two years ago before it
all got shut down, and it was it was so
cool to see people again and to talk to people,
like I went out to dinner with a lot of
the folks, our CBS crew, and I'm like, how nice
is this? Like we actually to sit down, break bread,
(08:38):
catch up, see how people are doing. We don't we
haven't got to do that in two years. And sometimes
you only see these people maybe twice a year because
they lived somewhere else and then it's national, so you're
you're kind of working separate from one another. And I
just I find it crazy that there's people who like
just they don't want this to end. They literally do
not want the COVID craze to add man. I I
(09:00):
just it's like, um, when you're younger, and there's this
part on the on the movie e T where you know,
the kid wants to stay home from school because he
wants to hang out with you know, the the weird
looking alien which looks like Johnny Manziel when he was
really deep into it picking up Reese's pieces off the ground.
And so to make sure that he could stay home
(09:21):
from school, uh and miss time, he would put the
thermometer under the light to try and heat it up,
and then put it back at his mouth so it
made it look like he had a fever. It's almost
like you got these these morons who are convincing themselves.
I gotta be sick. I need to stay home more,
and I gotta stay home more. I need the dude,
you gotta move on at some point, like it it
(09:41):
has to happen. And the fact that in your sentiment
of wanting to get out and just you know, being
so thankful to kind of be out and about everybody
should be having that. Man like like, this can't last forever.
At some point you do need to move forward. You've
got to move on. It was temporary. It wasn't permanent.
I know from when I got married during the pandemic
(10:03):
and it was right after like the initial sort of
shutdowns and restrictions and all that, and our wedding got
completely destroyed. I mean all our plans, we had stuff booked,
we had, I mean everything that challenged. I'm not going
to try to be the a whole, but you were
a little bit thankful because it was a lot cheaper.
Do you think I was upset about it now? Of
(10:24):
course so. But but I remember talking to some some
people that I work with, um that I'm telling you, yeah,
it was fine whatever, I don't care you like whatever.
But point being, I talked to somebody. I remember talking
to somebody that I worked with here and I was like, hey,
it wasn't what we had planned. I know, it wasn't
(10:45):
the greatest reception in the world, but you know, thank
you for coming. He was like, dude, you don't understand
like we haven't been out of the house in months,
Like we had a blast. We just wanted to get out.
We just wanted to do something. We were tired of
being locked in eating frozen food because the restaurants were
shut down. We wanted somewhere to go. And so at
least we have that. Like how if you, if you're
somebody who covers the NFL, don't you miss going to games?
(11:08):
Don't you miss being on on the field at stadiums?
Are you that spoiled for all those years that you
don't have an appreciation for this, Like it's now back,
like your your your way of life is now somewhat back,
and they're pushing back and bitching about it. I don't
get it. It's bizarre. What's really bizarre about it is
if you think about the athletes you're you're speaking about,
(11:31):
I mean even let's just take the combine for example,
the restrictive bubble and protocols they were putting in place
when I mean the mask man dates almost stayed by
stay nationwide are going away, and yet Jeff Foster of
the NFL wanted to put up these this bubble and
you're like, wait a second, you're telling me, You've got
the probably some of the most world class athletes who
(11:53):
are twenty one, twenty two years of age, and you're
concerned about their health and well being, and A you're
gonna be able to better protect them than their own
team of people who have been training them for this moment,
who are more dialed into their nutrition, who are more
dialed into their sleep, their recovery, their bodies, and they
(12:15):
have been for the past six to ten weeks. You're
telling me you're gonna do a better job of monitoring that.
It is the dumbest thing in the world. It's no
different when there was all those people who were avery
advocating for college student athletes to go home and be
off campus and it's a dangerous place, said they were
(12:35):
going to die. Dennis he took he literally took a
professor from Illinois who's a stats professor, and then he said, well,
he predicted like two deaths if college football played the season.
And and here's the truth. What's what's missed at all
of this is do you really think those players weren't
(12:56):
better off being at these multime all timillion or billion
dollar institutions that have those athletes under scholarship where they
have unlimited meals, a nutritionist, a medical staff and team
around them, a strength and conditioning or a performance a
sports performance staff, and everyone checking in with them every day.
(13:19):
You think that would be better for college student athletes
that being at home. It's so stupid, Like, no, none
of these people realize where some of these kids come from.
Some of these kids come from backgrounds. Were like, they're
fighting just to find a meal, and you're telling me
they're gonna be better at home. It was the dumbest
(13:39):
argument ever. And again, now that we're getting to the
point where it's over, it's behind us. People can't stop
looking back in the rear view mirror. Hey bro, it's
a tenth of the size of a windshield, maybe the
size of a windshield for for a reason. Stop looking behind,
look ahead, move on with your life. Yeah, it's it's
just eazy, the the coverage and the behavior of some
(14:02):
All right, it is two pros and a cup of Joe.

Brady Quinn and I did a show together on Sunday
nights for like five years something like that, long time,
and one of the most popular segments that we did
on the show is something called headline or Lie, where
we would either have an actual headline from around the
(15:51):
world of sports or beyond, or we've made one up
and we would team up with callers um and usually
on Sunday Nights they were an hilated and we've preferred
it that way, that they were hammered uh. And so
that would get us in all sorts of trouble. But
it was one of our more popular segments, as I said,
because you know, caller interaction would be a lot of fun.
We figured, well, you know, LaVar is not here today,
(16:13):
a much deserved day off. He was doing TV, he
was traveling this week, finally gets a day off. We decided,
you know, why don't we uh blow the dust off
of Headline or Lie and bring it back for one
time only on a Friday morning and have some fun.
So if you want to be a part of it,
we're looking for two participants, two people who want to
(16:34):
team up with either Brady Corner myself as we go
head to head Headline or Lie eight seven seven nine
on Fox. Is the phone number eight seven seven six
six three six nine. That's the number to call. We
normally never take phone calls on this show, but we're
making an exception for the return of Headliner Lie eight
(16:56):
seven seven nine six six three six nine and Oldie
but a goodie here on fs ARE. So that'll be
that'll be a lot of fun. I'm guaranteeing a win.
By the way, I just want to make that clear.
As we you usually stacked the deck somehow, right, It's
gonna be a little different though in the weekdays. Yeah,
usually Sunday nights we get some people who had they
(17:19):
were absolutely I mean, we had some doozies. How about
when your buddies called it and played that was good?
That was an easter. It was actually add easter, which
was offensive to many people who are listening. So, um,
this is well, this is a sad tale. UM. Really
bummed out about this. Remember that tell all book from
(17:40):
r G three back in the day he was talking
about several months ago he was going to tell every
ball It was called Surviving Washington. Who's gonna tell everybody
about all the Uh? Apparently, according to Eric Bickel of
The Fan in d C, Yeah, it's not happening anymore.
Just uh, it's what happened. Well, I guess you know,
the publisher whoever was in all has scrapped the idea. UM.
(18:03):
R G three apparently had second thoughts about this tell
all book, Surviving Washington. So yeah, it's over. No, no
Surviving Washington from r G three. And I know you
were bummed out about it because you're looking for a
way to fall asleep on planes, So so you were
you know, figured you could go get a copy of that. Yeah.
(18:23):
You know, when you're reading the details of this, UM,
it gets a little bit sketchy as far as what
exactly he was advertising. UM because at first he had
claimed to had witnessed sexual harassment, and then when pressed
on the issue that he says he was sexually harassed,
and then come full circle. The author pulls out who
(18:43):
was gonna work with him, and he's saying, I'm not
sure I could conclude any of that or he could
actually confirm any of that. It's all just seemed opinion based,
which I'll say this much. We're getting to a point
our country where we gotta be careful because that's what
we're basing a lot of things off of people's opinions,
not facts, people's opinions or how they feel about things.
(19:05):
And that's a dangerous territory because, as I've said them
to show a thousand times, people lack self awareness. People
don't have an understanding of reality. We just talked about
Jackson Mahomes who feels like he's a target and you
know people are, you know, bashing him on social media. Dude,
look at yourself in the mirror. Look what you're doing.
(19:26):
Like you're trying to profit off your really your brother's name,
image and likeness by doing dance videos, and you're upset
that people are making fun of you, Like, be real,
go get a job to be a productive member of society.
Why don't you dedicate your life to a charitable cause
or people in need instead of just dancing around on
Sean Taylor's memorial on a Field. I mean, it's it's
(19:49):
not that complicated, folks. And so this is an instance
where like you're looking at someone who as obviously trying
to I don't want to say tag onto everything that's
been coming out or started to become public. But what
it did was it took away from the people who
are the real survivors of what took place there. Who
are the people who had real issues, real things happen
(20:11):
to them, Who are you know, trying to to you know,
let it come to light and and hold Dancenyder accountable.
That's the problem is like it was almost like him
taking an opportunity to say, oh, well, what about me,
Like why am I not a part of this? And
maybe I should you get more attention for this, instead
of letting the people who were the real victims there,
the real victims, let their story be told, let all
(20:35):
of that come to light, and let them lead the way.
It's also nothing that he was gonna say was gonna
be new, Like we've known it's a disaster. We've know,
like we've heard all the stories, We've had how many
conversations on this show and and the question has been
asked because LaVar was there. LaVar saw, you know, a
lot of stuff. He's talked about it and and knows,
(20:56):
you know, that organization incident out better than anybody. He
was doing media there for years, years after his career.
He knows where all the bodies are buried. Like we've
asked the question, how does Dan Snyder still have a team,
like like how does he we know all this stuff?
So for r G three to come out like it
was this groundbreaking revelation like, oh my god, hey guys,
check this out. I think I'm gonna talk about all
(21:17):
the scandals in Washington. We've heard them, like we we
know what they are. And the fact that a publisher
and people involved would sort of wash their hands on
this whole thing's tells me that it was flimsy from
the get go. Um him, you know, you know, saying oh,
you know it's coming in August, It's coming in August.
Months ago. It was like okay, I mean, what are
(21:38):
you want to finish your career there before you write it?
Like what's the what's the delay? Like what are we
delaying for? And then you know, to only find out
that it's not coming out at all, just a you know,
just to turn into a man up and vanish like
a fart in the wind, you know. Like the tithing
seemed just a little bit odd to like, what was
taking so long? Yeah, it's uh, it seems like it.
(22:00):
I mean, originally the way it was proposed was like,
all right, it's already written and now it's just a
release date. That was how I interpret it. So maybe
I was ignorant to that, but it feels like it
was a little premature. It almost felt like kind of
the announcement of of Josh mcdeios is the cold Sad
Coat there is, Yeah, there's something to that. Or when
(22:21):
they too excited they read the wrong winner at the
Oscars years ago for Best Picture was at La La
Land or whatever. Crummy movie one, Two Pros and a
Cup of Joe. Here on Fox Sports Radio, coming up
fifteen minutes from now, there's some speculation about a free
agent quarterback in the NFL. We will get into all
that for year on fs are right now, though, it
(22:43):
is time for something we have not done in a
very long time. One of the most popular segments in
the history of sports radio on the weekends here at
Fox Sports Radio, it's time for this. Is it a
headline or a lot? Let's go to the new STI
what here's Jonas knock? Yeah, and away we go. It
(23:05):
is headline or lie Here on the Fox Sports Radio
it sounds awfully similar to the b Q. Don't worry
about it. Nothing to see here, pay no attention to
the Uh you know I still have to do that. Uh.
(23:25):
I was thinking the same thing. I'm like, Man, I
hope we got the right one. Listen to though. Nobody
knows nothing. All right, So let's find out who wants
to be a part of this. Let's go all the
way to Michigan where Damon is listening here on Fox
Sports Radio. Damnon, what's happening? Hey? How's it going? Guys? Good?
What's going on? Man's just living a dream? Alright? Are
(23:48):
you driving to work? Are you getting home from the bars?
I just got home for the box? All right? Very
go go good? God? Okay? Amon? Who do you want
a team up with? Brady or me? All right? Yeah, yeah,
(24:08):
definitely does very good. All right, Let's go to Indiana
where Ethan is listening here on Fox Sports Radio. Ethan,
what's happening? Good? Eat Ethan? Are you sober. Uh, well,
I'm sitting outside my work in the parking lot, hope.
(24:29):
So all right, well look, look, hey, some some people
don't want to wait for Friday. You know, the Thursday
starts barking and they go ahead. All right, So guys,
here's how this works. Ethan, you're gonna be teaming up
with me. Damon is teaming up with Brady. Here's how
this works. We are going to read a headline to
each other's partner. You have to tell us whether or
(24:50):
not it is a headline or a lie. If you
get it correct, you get a point. If not, you miss.
And if we are tied at the end of this,
we go back and forth. We have a tiebreaker question
at the end. Right, So here we go. Uh, Damon,
if you're ready, I will start with you, Brady Quinn's partner.
Let's go. All right, here we go, Damon headliner lie.
(25:10):
When asked to assess his team's performance last season, Colts
owner Jim Mercy said quote, it was about as bumpy
as the back of our quarterback's neck as the lie.
Well done, Damon, It's not that fall Campbell. I was
(25:37):
gonna say, like a minefield, All right, headline or Lie
Ford the man arrested for milking a goat. Probably was
it wasn't his goat. I'm gonna go headline, nam. You
(25:58):
know that's the that's one of those ploys. You know,
you gotta be careful with the Florida man title. Yeah,
if Florida throws everybody off, because anything, anything's possible. All right,
we go over to a Damon Brady Quinn's partner in Michigan,
Damon Headline or lie. Paramedics were called to a hotel
room in Indianapolis after a man who ordered food from
(26:19):
outback mistook his bloom and onion for a chair. That's good,
That's that's true. What about headline? Oh okay, headline. You
know it doesn't cease to amaze me. That doesn't matter
when we do this game. It's people never get the
(26:40):
inside jokes or the fact that it's headliner lie that
you want to say? True? Yeah, oh man, come on
Ethan alright, opportunity to tie up all right, headline or
lie man, seeing you're an It got a cop car
(27:00):
in Thousand Oaks, California. You're gonna what a cop car? Headline? Man? Man,
you guys don't listen well, it's been a long time.
I mean there are so there are certain tells with
this game that are personal shots and gigs at each other.
(27:25):
All right, and we go back over to Damon in Michigan.
This is how they return a one off of Headliner Lie.
Here on Fox Sports Radio, Jonas Knox Brady quip with
you here on fs are all right, so Damon Headliner Lie.
You have a one nothing lead Headliner Lie. Despite being
canceled due to the MLB lockout, Wednesday's Padres Royal spring
training game actually had better ratings than the NBA on
(27:47):
ESPN that night. That's that's a lie. Yeah, that's true. Yeah. Wait, David,
here's a shot Headline or Lie. NFL admits to forty
time malfunction after Colts admit their owner Jim Mercy was
(28:08):
tweaking the lasers. I'm gonna go with a lie. Yeah,
so you're on the board. There we go, He's on
the board. All right, over to Damon, who's got a
two one lead here Brady Quinn's partner Damon Headline or Lie.
In preparation for St. Patrick's Day later on this month,
(28:31):
the town of Dublin, Ohio, was filming a reality show
about three lifelong friends called hurd O skid Mark boy
in the meat wagon. It shut down. Come on, David,
what are we doing? That was crazy? It had to
be true. There you go. It sounds too crazy to
(28:56):
beat true, so it probably is. All right, here we
go headline or lie. Al Pacino mimics al Pacino for
most shot after being arrested. Headline, right and tie. Now
we're finding it now, we're finding it, all right, damon
(29:19):
in Michigan, Brady Quinn's partner, all tied up now to
a piece. Headline or Lie. A Fort Lauderdale man who
overflowed his toilet after a tray of chicken palm the
night before blamed it on his own daughter on national radio. Headline,
Oh oh, I have no words. I have no words
(29:44):
of this. Alright, I'm so disappointed headline or lie. Men
in Virginia found drunk and naked in front lawn with
a pen state tattoo on his back. Man, Please to
be a headline. You're you're friendly fire, You're moful, not
(30:17):
crazy though. All right here we go headliner lie. This
is the tiebreaker. We are now in sudden death overtime.
Here's how the rules work we have got a headline here. Um,
I'm gonna read the headline. You must buzz in with
your name. Whoever gets in first with their name, Your
name is your buzzer. You have an opportunity to guess
whether or not it is a headliner lie. If you
(30:38):
get it, you win for your team. If you lose,
the other team wins. Right here we go. Your name
is your buzzer. This is a tiebreaker situation here on
headliner lie. All right, so here we go. Now that
the mask mandate has been lifted, l A County is
enforcing a two d fifty dollar fine for anybody that
cuts a fart in a public setting in Indiana's first ethan,
(31:00):
Is that a headline or a lie? That is a lie?
Let's go, Yeah, well done. I feel like Damon had
it right in the palm of his hands, but it
was too looped up. And yeah, yeah, we we gotta
(31:21):
say by it a damon because he really stuck the
landing there. Uh Damon. Uh, you know, I don't know
what you thought you could say on the radio, but
whatever you just did, you can't we will, you know,
yeah not hear that ugly unbelievable. It never fails. We
found somebody hammered on a Friday morning at past seven
thirty am Eastern. Well, let me just give you a
(31:43):
news flap here in Indianapolis. That is not uncommon in
Combine Deely, as we found out from one of our well,
let's just say potential guests. That's not gonna be making
it today. Oh man, just brilliant stuff there it is.

That's Fox Sports radio dot com to win a trip
to Vegas during Draft weekend. So one of the rumblings
out there this according to uh, well, Mickey Loomis, the
GM of the New Orleans Saints. Uh he said that,
you know, Jamis Winston is definitely an option for them,
(34:43):
and he hopes that Jamis Winston is an option for
for him as well too, that they would be interested
in bringing back Jamis Winston. And we've seen he's had
these uh, you know, these weird workouts and he's you know,
walking again, trying to recover from the you know, the
knee injuries suffered last year. What do you think the
market for Jamis Winston is gonna look like? Because as
(35:04):
far as free agents go, I would say he's he's
the best, right, Maybe maybe Trabisky's too, but I would
see Jameis Winston far and away is the best free
agent quarterback available. Yeah, and you wish that the season
was what it turned out differently for him. I'm sure
the Saints do. Um. I think he was what five
and two as a starter or something like that. They
were good, he was playing well. Um. I think he
(35:25):
had improved upon the things that had plagued him during
his time in Tampa, and that was really just turnovers,
you know, poor decisions and and Sean Payne was able
to help him with some of that. So it was
sad to see him have the knee injury and and
go down. He probably would sign for a lot more,
and I'm sure he wouldn't have ended up becoming a
free age in the first place. But um, all that
(35:47):
being said, I think that's a destination he'd probably want
to go to. You know, he's got familiar there with
the familiarity with the offense. I think they want to
keep it the same. My question is what's the deal
with Michael Thomas, Like does he one out? Does he
want to be there or not? Because his cap hit
this year is huge, they can't really move on from
his dead capits like thirty seven million. His capit itself
(36:10):
isn't too bad a thirteen, but you know he's he's
been battling quote unquote injuries. It seems like he's frustrated
with something. But maybe he doesn't want to play with
with Drew Brees if he's not there anymore, right because
he's retired. But Jamis Winston gives him a shot and
he can sling the football around. So if I'm Jamis
Winston and based on what he did in the short
sample size last year, I'm trying to pick the best
(36:33):
possible team I can go to in order to succeed.
And so I'd look at like Denver's roster and say
it's a tough division, but man, they've got guys to
throw too, They've got a good defense. If they don't
make a trade for someone like I gotta be thinking
one of those spots. I mean, if if I'm Jamis,
even though it's a new system, to learn. You're gonna
be looking for the best possible opportunity to maximize this chance,
(36:55):
because I don't think after this, whatever that next opportunity is,
he's going to have that next chance, Like he'll start
looking being looked at more as a backup than anything else.
You could say the same thing for Mitchell Trabinsky. Yeah,
I didn't even I wasn't even thinking Denver because I've
had it so fixed on my mind that that was
going to be a spot for Aaron Rodgers. But the
more it goes on, the more you think Rogers, you know,
(37:17):
would go back to Green Bay. But yeah, you know,
Debt Man, that would be fascinating. Denver would be interesting.
I can tell you one team. He's definitely not going
to sign with, UM Washington the Commandos. Yeah, he will
not be signing with them. Uh. Similar to why Deshaun
Watson and Washington doesn't make any sense when you're an
organization with that sort of you know, background and stuff
(37:38):
going on. Uh, those are two guys that have stuff
in their past that you know probably wouldn't lend well to. Uh,
you know the pr side of things of your Washington gooder.
You bring them in and you let everyone focus on
their past transgressions, not yours. Yeah there, there there is that. Yeah, there,
there is that strategy you can try and employ. What
(37:59):
about Pittsburgh. I would love in Pittsburgh again. You know,
he's he's got a lot of experience. He showcases the
ability to throw the football down the field. I think
he fits a lot of places. It's just how fast
can he come along? He's he's now running in that
like helium balloon, the altar g they call it, trying
to rehab his knees. I don't know how much longer
(38:19):
it's gonna take him. Yeah, that was I gotta ask
you more about that. That helium is that it helium
balloon is what they call it.
