Speaker 1 (01:26):
You didn't like Matt, you don't like that my song
is so much better than yours.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
I'm a little upset with you, to be honest with you,
A little upset why I think, uh, well.

Speaker 5 (01:35):
In defensive Jonas, this is also not a tailgate song.
You're here at a football game.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
So you can hear Paul Revere out a tailgate. Come on,
come on, what parties are you guys?

Speaker 5 (01:47):
I mean, I'm not saying that should be the standard,
by the way, either, I'm just saying if also we're
follow up from the week, excuse me the first segment comment,
this also would not be at a tail You won.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
One hundred percent with hear the Beastie Boys at a tailgate.
In fact, when you guys, if y'all happen to stay around, well,
you won't be at the one where we all go
c But if if Jonas and Lee hangs around, you'll
see at my tailgate that they play that type of music.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
I've already been invited to another tail music like all
kinds of music, but that type of music. Lee and
I are going to be at Matt mcgloin's tailgate.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Yeah, that'd Why do you do this.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
What are you talking about? You bring this on yourself?
What do you mean, like, bar, I'm sorry, Like I
got the it's hurtful.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
It's hurtful.

Speaker 4 (02:39):
Well, let me tell you what's hurtful that LeVar is
going to take this story that Lee brought up about
Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift and assume that their relationship
is fake facts, bothersome.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
All right?

Speaker 5 (02:52):
Can I ask this question, which maybe he only pushes
more towards LaVar's theory.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Why don't you hear this about a lot of other
relationships right.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
Right?

Speaker 3 (03:04):
I mean, like this only comes up about this relationship?
Why Lee?

Speaker 4 (03:09):
Can you summarize this quickly? Because I know you have
to take a dump. Can you summarize this just to
clear this up that to me is true. So there
was a leaked document that they have a breakup date
already planned and a reason and a message why they're
breaking up.

Speaker 6 (03:27):
Yes, September twenty eighth, that they will amicably split up,
and that they ask for a three day post breakup
to allow the initial media frenzy to settle and ensure clarity. Yes,
it's a whole contract pre planned September twenty eighth, that
is what is alleged in the document, which has been
denied by the Los Angeles based firm Full Scope.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
Yeah, I mean I think you are for discussed.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
When they denied it, they did, they throw out their.

Speaker 6 (03:55):
Like legal action would be together now ordering lawyers to
investigate where the dots you came from?

Speaker 1 (04:01):
There you go.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
I think it's disgusting that people would go to this
length to try and dismiss their relationship as being quote
unquote not true love or quote unquote fake or quote
unquote a hoax.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
I'm tired of that crap.

Speaker 7 (04:15):
Aaron Love, She's going to be there Thursday confirmed.

Speaker 5 (04:19):
Well, of course it's not September twenty eighth. Yet exactly
who do they play that week?

Speaker 3 (04:26):
The Chargers? They got the they're at La Go Chargers go.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
A lot of seconds?

Speaker 4 (04:36):
Hold on, how many times did you watch Pumping Iron
growing up to polish up on your Arnold Schwarzenegger impression?

Speaker 1 (04:43):
That was well done.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
I try not. I hear the drop enough where I
try to just rehearse in my head quote shot just go.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Go.

Speaker 5 (04:54):
If I had a soundboard, I would play so many drops.
This show A lot would be the bar though I
would have my own file for.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
The far.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
So they're at the Chargers that week and by the way,
that is the weekend we're going to be in state
college for for Penn State Illinois.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
So dude, I'm so upset. I don't have to be
a part of that. Go charge us, Go go. I
wish I was gonna be a part of that.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Well. I support Beastie Boys playing. Paul Revere will be
playing at my tailgated.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
If you ride up on a horse with that playing,
that'd be pretty dead.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
It would be dope that could happen.

Speaker 4 (05:33):
You know what I might do, since you guys are
so disrespectful to their relationship, maybe I'll go Taylor Swift
on my intro song.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
I might. I might go that direction here because I suppose.

Speaker 5 (05:43):
To ask you, for the sake of our show and listeners,
can you just pick a song that people like? I
mean that it would be really nice if you just
picked a song that we all were like, this is
a good song that is really rude. And really, I'm
being serious right now. This is not even like trying
to lean into this a play. I'm just can you
pick a song that everyone likes?

Speaker 3 (06:05):
I just like, what is it like? What's with you guys.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
What I mean, everybody can get it today like Travis
Kelsey Taylor Swift relationship. My musical selections this.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
Well you want to Taylor Swift. So it's all related.

Speaker 5 (06:17):
I mean the entire relationship felt like it came out
of nowhere, and on top of it, it didn't feel
like it was very fitting based on history.

Speaker 4 (06:24):
You talk about it like you guys are talking about
that door and to break You guys are talking about
it in the past, tense, like it's over.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
They're in love, she's going to be there Thursday.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
Why are they engaged yet? Then? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (06:34):
Why are they engaged?

Speaker 1 (06:35):
Why why are we talking about a breakup date instead
of a marriage date?

Speaker 4 (06:38):
How long were you, guys with your significant others before
you proposed?

Speaker 1 (06:42):
That's very personal, it's.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
Not I'll say it.

Speaker 5 (06:45):
It was a long time. But I was also long distance.
It makes a little harder. You know, you don't travel Jonas.
How long were you with your What are you talking about?

Speaker 1 (06:51):
You know?

Speaker 4 (06:52):
How long the drive is in my truck to Tijuana?

Speaker 1 (06:54):
How long?

Speaker 3 (06:57):
Okay, that's not even so, that's so disrespect.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
All right.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
It was a significant amount of time I.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
Was coming with I was coming with a dart for you.
But stop.

Speaker 4 (07:13):
The sky and sad myself. Let me help you out there.
Hit long ass time. Yeah, well, you know, ran into
some uh you know, a couple of breaks here and there.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
You know, I was engaged in three months. Really, that's
quick get married after a year? It was quick.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
Well you can't ask Jonas because that's a different story,
but it was quick.

Speaker 4 (07:42):
I'm just saying it was quick. I mean, yeah, it
was a long time. It was years because we listen,
we had a you know, they're a compan to try
marriage out before you real marriage, right, Yeah, I mean
we I think we were engaged for over it was
a year and a half.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
Before we actually time. Well, you know, forget that. I
just would never do it if I was going to
take that long, if I was going to take long
to do it, I just would never do it. I
would never do it. I could see that if it's
going to take long. I'm just it's like, why do
I need if if I've been between you and I Yeah,
that was the plan. That was the plan, you know,

(08:20):
but you was got you, you were had at that point.
It's like, hey, you reward the patience, you know, is
that how you see it reward them with U you know,
so you were you were a prize and the reward
for totally Wow.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
That's actually kind of Judo flipped that on you.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
It's just just okay, like sometimes we just kind of
I feel like, is gonna get married in Vegas to
a dude? To Todd, It's going to come out later
on man.

Speaker 3 (08:59):
Todd love you, man? I mean, do you think it's
a real relationship.

Speaker 7 (09:10):
I do think it's a real relationship, but this is true.

Speaker 6 (09:15):
No, well, the PR thing, I mean, it could happen
that they would put out a release if they were
to break up. I imagine they would kind of go
through a PR firm and figure that out. I don't
think some other I mean, man, Taylor Swift's I don't
think she wants to get married and have and have
a kid. I don't think she's going to go through
a two year fake relationship with she's thirty five.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
I'm with you, Lee, she's you know, she's older. This
is love, that's true love, and you guys are just
so dismissing. I want to go through a two year
fake relationship. I mean, it's a part of her job.
Why wouldn't She's done enough of them.

Speaker 7 (09:51):
She doesn't need the that kind of publicity. She I think,
what did you see what that did to her career?
Her career was already bigger than anybody else's career.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
But it also it also got a bigger, It got
way bigger.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
Don't act like he didn't. There's football dudes from that.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
Therese dudes who are like, hey a guy, Hey, who's that?
Who's that? Who's Kelsey with that?

Speaker 8 (10:13):
That?

Speaker 1 (10:13):
Hey? Guy? Guy? Guy? She was that? She was?

Speaker 3 (10:17):
Who was with Kelsey?

Speaker 7 (10:19):
Was that billionaire before Travis?

Speaker 3 (10:22):
And she's probably made some money off it, a lot.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
You know what's better than making a billion? Lee? Making
more than a billion? Like, you can't make enough money? Lee,
I'm so embarrassed she was a billionaire before him? So
what all right?

Speaker 7 (10:39):
Hey my opinion, I think it's let me tell you something.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
Let me tell you something. I dated a few, a
few pretty pretty significantly famous. You get back, don't do it.
I won't do it. Don't do it.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
Can we just at least come to this agreement? You
checked that door over, he lamar, well have well?

Speaker 5 (11:10):
Can we agree that there are celebrities who do have
these sorts of contracts and agreements.

Speaker 3 (11:15):
Sure, yes, okay, but there's way too public. I will
say this.

Speaker 5 (11:19):
There there is there's someone that I know that that's
within the world of what we do in broadcasting that
was offered a contract from a professional athlete like that,
Like that's a thing like to be the you know,
I'm just telling you, man, just stuff happens.

Speaker 3 (11:35):
I can't even I don't even know what to say.
Like I like, I'm letting you guys know, I don't
even know if it falls on a weekday.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
It happens more than people think. It happens on rig
carpets at events, it happens.

Speaker 4 (11:46):
I just I want everyone to be aware of this.
I want Scott Shapiro, Don Martin to listen to this. Lee,
you take note of this, Lorrena. Everybody please pay attention
to this. I don't know what day of the week
it falls on, but if it's a weekday, I'm not
working with these two hooligans on Valentine's Day. They're disrespectful
to love and they're dismissing it as a real relationship.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
And holiday that is.

Speaker 4 (12:07):
This is disgusting, man.

Speaker 3 (12:09):
I mean, it's not my fault. It's not my fault.

Speaker 5 (12:12):
You have to have one day that you create a
year to act romantic. While some of us, all right,
act like that every day?

Speaker 1 (12:18):
All right?

Speaker 5 (12:19):
Why some of us maybe are acting like that towards
our wives or our significant others every day. I'm sorry
you've lost any sort of passionate flame inside you, Jonas, which.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
What he felt to mention was Q is that he
wouldn't be working on the show with us. You'd probably
go work on with you know, Petros or somebody.

Speaker 4 (12:37):
I just want to work with somebody who believes in love.

Speaker 3 (12:39):
And by the way, Brady, that somebody who's know, Wait,
didn't you didn't Lee go go that concert?

Speaker 1 (12:44):
Yeah? He did? Yeah?

Speaker 7 (12:46):
The Darkness?

Speaker 1 (12:47):
Yeah that's right.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
Did you go?

Speaker 1 (12:48):
Who do you go with? Sam?

Speaker 4 (12:51):
He dragged me to go to By the way, for Lee,
that's a way of life, not a concert.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
Yeah, Lee, How are you doing in that department? Have
we found any you know, any love out there?

Speaker 1 (13:01):
I'm doing just fine. I'm doing Yeah. But now the
focus is on the season. Much like Travis Kelsey, you know,
you gotta put That's why you let your pr farm
hands you your fantasy team. He is on one of them.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
So that's why LeVar he's invested. He can't.

Speaker 5 (13:24):
He's not gonna be able to deal with this whole
breakup thing. And how may impact his fantasy team.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
I see it may play better, bro, Well, he may
play better once once the weight is lifted off of
him of having to fake this relationship, he may play better.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
Who do you think he's got to line up next?

Speaker 1 (13:39):
That's the case. I mean, he's got his pick after this.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
I mean, let's just hypothetically say this was actually real.

Speaker 5 (13:50):
Let's say hypothetically this was all real meeting meeting, like
the actual announcement this was gonna end, you would have
to have lined up absolute like rocket ship and a half. Yeah,
I'm saying, like Barry Bonds is on deck in the
peak of the career.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
That's what you've got lined up next to step the
step off exactly.

Speaker 4 (14:11):
If I were Travis Kelsey, I'd elon Musk and say
I can't take any chances. Can you create somebody like
let me let me design this from the ground up.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
It's just a person exists. She only exists on the Internet.
That's it.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
It's just an a I.

Speaker 4 (14:27):
Figure out of ten that we've never seen in our life.
Just to show his bounce back. But again, I mean
we don't have to worry about that. This is a
real relationship.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
I mean, but if they break up, I mean people
break up all the time. You know, people get divorced
all the time, People separate all the time. So it's
it's a part of it's a natural part of relationships.
So you know, I just think it's interesting that it
was leaked.

Speaker 3 (14:52):
Next up to bad Barry Bonds.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
White Man.

Speaker 3 (15:00):
Yeah, it makes you forget whoever let off the innings?

Speaker 1 (15:05):
Yeah used to Oh man, Well listen, and he's the
guy that can pull it off, that's for certain. He's
got the personality for it. So oh yeah, I'm looking
forward to that. And that looks like so is leap.

Speaker 3 (15:20):
Closer to the dates? Closer to this date?

Speaker 1 (15:24):
Can we draw names out of a hat as to who?

Speaker 3 (15:27):
All right, it's going to be next?

Speaker 1 (15:30):
Yeah, he's going he's going cougar hunting. Is going to
be Halle Berry.

Speaker 4 (15:34):
Oh man, she's married now, isn't she.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
He's going to take her?

Speaker 5 (15:41):
I mean, you know some you know we're going to
go for you, say Jada Pinkett in the text, Jada Pinkett.

Speaker 4 (15:47):
I mean, if we're going to do one. I mean,
if we're going to go that direction, uh, somebody the
last name slap him in the face. Somebody the last
name Lopez just became Jennifer Lopez is positioning herself.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
Jonas intro music.

Speaker 4 (16:00):
Yeah, I mean, hey, that could happen. It definitely could happen,
and we will cover it all live here from the
tire rack doc our studios.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
I know that for low Paz, that's a good pool. Well,
we need to put it up, like we need to
put the names up, put a big head of them
up on the wall, and like, let's just keep track
of this because I'm telling you something something, There's something here,
just something to this completely disrespect. So we're up to
Jada Pinkett and Jennifer Lopez. Who we are I don't know,

(16:35):
Jennifer Bison. I feeling cougar hunting. I feel me going young.

Speaker 4 (16:38):
I feel gross talking about this, Like, what are we
doing here?

Speaker 1 (16:41):
Why do you feel gross?

Speaker 4 (16:42):
Because it's real love and you guys are just dismissing it.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
I'm tired of it.

Speaker 4 (16:47):
It is two pros and a cup of Joe. Here
on Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington Brady Quinn Jonas knocks

Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here. Coming up about
twenty minutes from now from the tire rack dot Com studios,
we are gonna have our Midweek Awards, the good, the bad,
and the ugly. They will be yours here again about
twenty minutes from now here on FSR. So the brand
new AP top twenty five is out? Any issues with it?

Speaker 1 (18:00):
Brady?

Speaker 4 (18:01):
You got any problems? Should Florida State have stayed in
the top twenty five based on UH based stayed in
the top twenty five? You called that yesterday. Yeah, they'll
be out and good good luck getting back in. But
we do have a Georgia, Ohio State, Texas, Alabama that
is your top four.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
Shouts out to Bill O'Brien man going into Tallahassee. Huh yep,
it was Q's boy. So I just figure we coach Bob.

Speaker 3 (18:27):
I mean, is it not your boy? He was at
Penn State.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
I'm not a fan of.

Speaker 3 (18:31):
Coach Bob.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
Okay, there's like mixed.

Speaker 5 (18:36):
I do find it interesting. You know, USC jumps up
from what twenty three, twenty two to thirteen? Yeah, basically
replaced LSU. Which else you dropped five spots? I would
I think is a pretty good football team. I think
USC is two.

Speaker 3 (18:52):
Not sure els you should have dropped as far as
they did, But.

Speaker 1 (18:56):
I mean that's that's a big jump. That's a big jump.

Speaker 4 (19:01):
Clemson took the biggest tumble uh, but still to stay
in the top twenty five.

Speaker 3 (19:05):
They're sitting get twenty five now.

Speaker 4 (19:07):
They dropped eleven spots after they got pistol whipped by
Georgia over the weekend.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
Some people were saying that they have too many white guys.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
Oh oh man, what there has been a quota through
the years.

Speaker 3 (19:23):
There was, there was, There was.

Speaker 5 (19:24):
A comment made that then had to be following up
on that there was too many white guys out there.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
Dang me who said it?

Speaker 3 (19:33):
Who did?

Speaker 1 (19:34):
Who was white? Oh? That's right.

Speaker 3 (19:37):
The funny thing was is like, as you were watching Georgia, like,
wait a second, they got all white dudes on offense,
they got.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
A lot of skilled dudes.

Speaker 5 (19:47):
That that I mean, I'll be honest, I was. I
kept walking, Wait is that the same? No, it's a
different white guy. All right, Well, I guess.

Speaker 3 (19:55):
What are you saying? We all look the same. I'm
just saying, you know, after.

Speaker 10 (19:59):
Ladcakey, after McConkey and brock Bowers moved on to the NFL,
I was like, all right, he's gone, like, well, you're
not stockpiling a bunch of white skilled players.

Speaker 3 (20:09):
Apparently they are growing up.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
True, they're raising those guys.

Speaker 3 (20:16):
It is interesting though, they've got that speeding problem there
in Athens.

Speaker 1 (20:20):
Maybe they do speed problem.

Speaker 3 (20:25):
Damn, how do we fix this?

Speaker 1 (20:29):
How do we fix this speeding? Wow?

Speaker 3 (20:34):
It is George d pre assistance.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
And four by fours. Right, they're more.

Speaker 3 (20:45):
Subject of flipping whether off runnings.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
Yeah, that's correct.

Speaker 4 (20:50):
Well they look great. You got some hog problems now.

Speaker 1 (20:55):
That you guys are late for me, it's we're frog gigging.
We're just down there frog gigging and trying to get
some of them hole. You know, they could play some
ball though, I'll tell you that.

Speaker 4 (21:04):
Oh yeah, they can, which under the they've lost one
game in over a thousand days.

Speaker 1 (21:10):
You know what's funny about that. I was the only
black dude on my state championship high school team, only one.
It was all white dudes. And we beat a few,
like like Woodland Hills. I know about Woodland Hills, right,
that's the where all everybody everybody comes from from pa
uh in al Equippa. We beat up on al Equippa,
We beat up on Woodland Hills, we beat Penhills. Those

(21:31):
are all predominantly you guessed it, black schools. Well, yeah,
and I was the token guy on my team and
we went undefeated. But we had a QB named Eric
Casparovitch and he was every bit of Casparovitch baller. Nice. Okay,

(21:52):
there you go. Just that. I give you guys a
little bit of trivia there. So it was.

Speaker 4 (21:55):
Majority white guys, that white dudes Italians.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
Yeah, what's witch is that?

Speaker 4 (22:02):
Like?

Speaker 1 (22:02):
Check? I look c last time. Yeah, it's something like that.
He was a baller boy and he's still balling. He
coaches now and he's like winning state championships all the time.
There you go, there you have it. Yeah, what up? Okay?

(22:22):
Moving on anyways, shouts out to Ji Georgia because they
do be bawling. I wonder how they talk, you know,
when we talked to them. Have we interviewed any of
these these these receivers and skilled players that that they have.
I wonder what their dialect is like, you know, where
are they from?

Speaker 4 (22:41):
Well, brock Bowers is from Napa.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
I don't think he is from na that's a little different.

Speaker 3 (22:45):
Was this Cabernet would pair very well?

Speaker 5 (22:50):
This Sprich don't know, YUPPI isid.

Speaker 1 (22:55):
Their surfers in Napa Valley though, right?

Speaker 5 (22:58):
No, No, like more or less Inland and you're in
valleys and mountainous mountain veter et cetera.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
There can you guys take me to Napa Valley one day?
Oh yeah, I'd like to go.

Speaker 3 (23:11):
I'll go.

Speaker 5 (23:11):
Jonas won't go, No, no chance it. It's also partially
because you're a lightweight. Like Jonas would go to one
stop get drunk. You couldn't take him like the next
to It's just not my vibe, like pants off, walking
around this black leather jacket.

Speaker 4 (23:27):
There's not enough. There's not enough people that do construction.
There's not enough of my people there.

Speaker 3 (23:32):
And and I need that. I don't need vineyards.

Speaker 5 (23:34):
It's actually glorified farming. So that's you're actually disrespecting a
lot of people.

Speaker 4 (23:39):
Well, if I want if I want that one, I mean,
if I want that, I'll go to Oxnard. That's there's farming.

Speaker 5 (23:47):
He'd be he'd be naked from the waist down walking
around by the time he got to the second stop,
and they'd be like, sir, the Fawn's convention.

Speaker 3 (23:54):
It's it's next door, all right, just go walk over
there with you in your black leather.

Speaker 1 (23:58):
Jacket and shirt lights switch take.

Speaker 3 (24:02):
He wears the crap out of that leather jacket and he.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
Walks around creepily like you.

Speaker 4 (24:06):
By the way, So I did notice that, like almost
every single leather jacket I have has holes in them
because they're not real leather. So I've got like the
off the way I've gotten to them. Well, no can
I do, because I was telling LeVar this one time.
When I played high school football, we had to get
cleats that were all black because that was like the style.
But you got white cleats well because they were cheaper, dude,

(24:28):
and Friday night light. Yeah, so you just take the
sharpie and you color in all the white spots. It's
not how it works, Okay, well I tried. So do
you think a sharpie would work on like a black
pleather jacket to color paint?

Speaker 1 (24:42):
Wood? Get paint? Okay, black paintal work. I used to
paint my shoes with. I used to sid just another
fun fact. I used to to prepare my shoes for
the games. So I had like three pairs of cleats.
I had a practice pair of cleats, and I had
two game cleats. Let them well, I mean, I mean

(25:03):
they were they were affordable. You know, I wasn't rich
or anything, but I wasn't broke either we wentn't poor.
So I had three games. I had three, three pairs
of cleats and the two the two that I wore
in games. I would actually sit and plan out how
the shoe strings and how the color of the shoe
would match the rest of what I was gonna wear,

(25:25):
whether it was my wristbands, whether it was my my
tiel that I would wear, or my socks or spandex
that I would wear. So I would get paint and
I would actually tape them up, like how all these
coast custom uh tennis shoe guys are doing all this
stuff these days. I used to take paint or take tape,
tape up my shoes where you know the colors this,

(25:47):
that and the other, and I'd have them color guided
by by the paint color. Boom, paint it, tape it,
paint it, take it off, take boom boom. Put in
the shoe strings, and those be my game shoes. And
it looked like I had a new pair of shoes
on every every every game because I was painting them.
And then the paint really made them look like they
were new. Like you paint them, you let them dry off.

(26:09):
Then then you like I shine them. I used to
put vaciline on them to shine them. Oh yeah, and
that was that was my deal. Multip so put paint
on it, Put some paint, Put a piece of tape
under there, tape tape the hole. Put like a piece
of tape under there with the hole or something like that,
like super glue, piece of tape, and then paint it
there you go.

Speaker 3 (26:30):
See.

Speaker 5 (26:30):
I used to go try to find a size bigger
shoe on like Clearance that was like a heavy shoe
to wear for practice, and then I would try to
wear like as small as possible, so like I think
I would try to wear like a thirteen and a
half or fourteen and just to like jam my foot
in there.

Speaker 3 (26:49):
So then on like game day, I felt so fast.

Speaker 5 (26:52):
I don't know why, and like maybe I was just
mentally tricky myself, but it'd be like an old Whiteman
cleat that you could like find on like a Clearance
rack that was gigantic, and then you'd wear like your
normal speed clean on game day, and I was like,
I'm the fastest kid alive, even though it was all
because I was so slow. I needed to like do
something to make myself feel faster.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
They're smart. Bruh. I get it's tricked the mind.

Speaker 3 (27:15):
I get what he's doing.

Speaker 4 (27:16):
That's I mean, it's a it's a nice it's a
it's a smooth transition.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
I get it.

Speaker 4 (27:20):
You talked about the clearance rack. Are you trying to
call Oregon State in Washington State the clearance rack?

Speaker 3 (27:26):
I didn't say that. I didn't say that.

Speaker 5 (27:28):
It's just it's a little upsetting when Mountain when the
Mountain West, which is supposed to be below you, although
I'm not sure where you feel like the PAC twelve two.

Speaker 1 (27:37):
Is at this point.

Speaker 3 (27:38):
But and so they're just not going to renew it
was they had to both sides had to.

Speaker 4 (27:46):
Schedually, and so the Mountain West and hey, listen, this
was a fun one year run, and we're gonna go
ahead and not renew this negotiation to schedule games with
you next year.

Speaker 3 (27:58):
So so now how's this going to work?

Speaker 4 (28:00):
So Oregon State and Washington State do what?

Speaker 3 (28:02):
Just start making calls.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
Guys.

Speaker 5 (28:04):
I know this is, I mean, nuts to most people.
I think LeVar will not find this crazy. I know
I don't find it crazy. You're going to see more
teams become independent in regards to football and how they schedule.

Speaker 3 (28:18):
So so Oregon State and Washington State are just gonna
have to field their own, you know, schedules.

Speaker 5 (28:22):
How as far as how that will work at some
point in the future because the PAC twelve, I believe
they're still getting some money. Probably that's why they're kind
of keeping it together because of all the teams that
moved on. But once that dries up, once that's done,
they will have to basically schedule either join a conference
or a schedule.

Speaker 3 (28:41):
They're you know, make their schedules independently. That's how this
will go.

Speaker 5 (28:45):
The teams that will leave the ACC, and there will
be teams that will leave the ACC. Florida State is
continuing an inch closer. They will most likely end up
being independent and broke off their home games, and that's
how they'll receive the lion's share of what they're gonna
get paid for the media rights. That is where things

(29:07):
are going. It's honestly where things should have always went.
And we could have stopped the madness that's happening in
college football at least with the conference realignment, and it
would have allowed for there to be all sorts of
crazy schedules and everything else that goes along with it. However,
that didn't happen. We're not there, but that is what
will most likely happen in some of these scenarios, whether

(29:29):
it's with Oregon State and Washington State or looking at
Florida State or any other.

Speaker 3 (29:34):
ACC team that ends up leaving the ACC.

Speaker 1 (29:39):
I mean, I'm just curious as to how they are
going to Like with a Notre Dame that's that's like, yeah,
we'll play you. You know, it's like there's there's something
to it. There's there's money connected to it. Some of
these schools I don't I just don't feel like I
don't are they're not big enough. I mean almost like

(30:04):
thinking like do they become in some type of way
like a mid major.

Speaker 3 (30:12):
Yeah, they become an essence.

Speaker 5 (30:13):
And I think when you saw everyone flee for the
Big ten and the Big twelve in Oregon State in
Washington State got left behind, it's set a pretty clear
message that they are considered to be two of the
teams that were part of a power five conference that
other conferences don't look at and say your powerful power.
It's a little bit upsetting because like you work with TJ.

(30:37):
You know, I have a lot of respect for the
Oregon State program we played against when I was in college.
They had a ton of talent, and so I don't
feel that way. Court Vallas is one of the coolest places.
Pullman is one of the coolest places. Got to go
watch Gardner Minshew there. Uh for the Battle of the
Apple Cup like that.

Speaker 3 (30:54):
I love that place. I don't feel this way.

Speaker 5 (30:56):
But the running was on the wall, and those two
teams are going to either have to find their way
into a conference that's part of the power for at
this point, or they're going to have to join a
lower level kind of group of five.

Speaker 4 (31:12):
I mean, I know Patros has been you know, against
the independent conversation kind of use it as their special
cases like Notre Dame. So you might get a little
fiery if we bring that up with it.

Speaker 5 (31:24):
There's not though, because what you're missing out on is
and then then this is I mean, this is an
original thought too, Like this is something that I've always
kind of said because of Notre Dame's independence, but Chip
Kelly even talked about it.

Speaker 3 (31:35):
You could have taken.

Speaker 5 (31:35):
Football at every one of these schools and went independent
with how they went about scheduling, and it would have
solved a lot of the issues that you're seeing now
amongst the athletic departments. Now that is separate from the
House NCAA settlement, which is another burden or issue for
athletic departments because they now have to pay let's just
say the numbers twenty five million a year to student athletes.

(31:57):
That's in and of itself its own issue. But then
there's the operating budgets for all these Olympic teams that
you've got to travel across the country. Your budgets got
just got more expensive. Like, yes, you're getting more revenue
from the conference you joined, and maybe that offsets it
to some degree. But again, it probably would have been
easier to set up an independent schedule because as much

(32:19):
as you want to say, well, oh only not ed An,
no other teams could do it too. I mean teams
need non conference games. Teams, you know, TV networks need
to put something on. You know, you have Fox, you
have ESPN, ABC, you have CBS, NBC now all heavily
involved in college football. The c DUB is getting involved,
like you've got all these different players.

Speaker 3 (32:41):
You could have went you could have went the Apple
you know route and done.

Speaker 5 (32:45):
Direct to consumer streaming like, there's all sorts of different
venue you know, avenues to do it.

Speaker 3 (32:50):
It just comes down to making it the right deal.

Speaker 4 (32:53):

Of course, there are some good things that happen, and
there's some bad and then there's some downright ugly things.
It's time for good, bad and ugly.

Speaker 3 (33:58):
All right, lead to lap who's got this week?

Speaker 6 (34:00):
Well, as we do each and every week, we start
with the good, and this week it's not Brady, it's Jonas.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
All right.

Speaker 3 (34:06):
Well, listen, this is pretty obvious.

Speaker 4 (34:08):
You know football's back, but it's really back this week
because we had college football. You had your Week zero
into your week one. Labor Day weekend is always a
fun ride in college football. A little bit of everything.
Some sloppy play, maybe some better performances than people expected,
maybe some weather delays, maybe a game getting laid two

(34:28):
hours and somebody getting hit in the face with a
stage like all of it was presented to you on
center stage in college football this weekend. And now the
NFL's here too, so we are locked and loaded. We
got a game on Thursday, we got a game on Friday,
even though those guys don't want to play in it allegedly.
We've got games all throughout the weekend. We've got a
game on month like everything is lined up for us.

(34:49):
We got through the lean months of the season. Football's back.
That's my good for the week.

Speaker 7 (34:55):
And Uh, Brady, I'm sorry I didn't give you good
this week, but no worries.

Speaker 3 (34:59):
I gave you the bad.

Speaker 1 (34:59):
What was bad this week?

Speaker 3 (35:01):
Well, that's easy.

Speaker 5 (35:02):
I guess I could say the weather in Morgan Down
that was the one, the one thing that stood out
for me individually. But Florida State. Florida State football has
just been bad and they're owing two on the season.
A lot of soul searching to figure out for Mike
Norvell and that team and and probably specifically to dju
who it's not all on him, but he's the quarterback.

(35:24):
He's one of the leaders. That's what he's tasked with doing.
So uh, tough start to the season for Seminal fans.
They have played some really bad football.

Speaker 1 (35:33):
So far.

Speaker 7 (35:35):
And guys from bad to worse finishing off strong. LeVar,
what was ugly this week?

Speaker 1 (35:39):
Could to say at Florida State as well, but I'm
gonna go with obviously with parasol and in the incident
with him getting getting shot over a watch, it's just ugly, man,
and it didn't didn't make sense. The kid is a
minor seventeen years old. He's going to get charged for

(36:00):
attempted murder. So now his life is impacted forever over
a watch. Ricky Parasaw, his life is impacted based upon
the greed and the ignorance of this young kid's decision
making just just an ugly situation altogether. Glad that he's

(36:20):
he's recovering well and Ricky paras all that is and
we'll you know, hopefully move on from this and be
back at it again. But super ugly man. Like there's
this thing called hard work, you know, and for some
people they may not know what that represents. But if
you want to get a nice watch, just get to

(36:43):
work brick by brick man. One step one, one step
out of time, one toe down, next step, you know
what I mean, Like, don't take the easy way out, man.
It's my ugly for the week.

Speaker 4 (36:56):
Like we're talking about a little bit earlier this week
that physically saw is going to recover and he's already
on the mend right away. But like emotionally, this has
got to mess with you. It's got to mess with you.
I mean, I can't imagine he just goes through that whatever,
no big deal, Just brush it off and get back
to you know, rehabbing my shoulder and get get ready

(37:16):
to start my career. It's like, this is like an
awful way to start your career and he's got to
just deal with it.

Speaker 5 (37:22):
Isn't Clyde Edwards a layer like battling PTSD from something
that happened when he was younger.

Speaker 3 (37:27):
There's a shooting or something like that. I saw an
article about.

Speaker 1 (37:30):
Them to be surprised, but a lot of dudes are,
I mean.

Speaker 3 (37:34):
Think about that, like that could be a traumatic experience.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
Absolutely, So help you feel better, rich, you know, I
mean feel better, my guy. Yeah, it's you know Lee.
Lee found his favorite part of Ricky pirasaw by the way.

Speaker 7 (37:48):
I think he has people in his corner to help
him feel better.

Speaker 1 (37:51):
Yeah,
