tire rack dot com the way tire buying should be. So,
we've got teams in the NFL that are trying to
figure out what the plan is moving forward. The New
York Jets just decided we're gonna go ahead and get
rid of our head coach.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
He's got to go.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Raiders, they've identified one of their
big issues, and one of their big issues is at quarterback.
Gardner Minshew. Apparently he's the problem. Aidan O'Connell will be
the starter now, so.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
LeVar, Well, no, I know how Q feels about it,
so we'll let you have it. Well, I just want
to know what Antonio talking about this? You never like
leading off? Huh No, I don't.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
Do you like seeing the picture?
Speaker 4 (01:37):
Get a few, like get a batteran then you like
going up there, And I mean, I'd just like to
hear what you have to say. I mean, I guess
what I'd have to say is I'm not as close
with the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders me,
neither closer than I am.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
Uh yeah, probably, so that's true. I don't talk to
him about these affairs.
Speaker 4 (01:56):
I will simply say this just so we can get
to you. Yes, I don't know how this their fortune.
I don't know how this changes anything for them. I
think Antonio Pears is in a tough spot. I think
this team's in a tough spot. They didn't address the
quarterback position the way they should have in the offseason,
and that's why they are where they are. But I
do find it a bit comical. There's a poor report
(02:18):
that came out that said they were going to have
a quarterback competition in practice, and so apparently ab Okada
won the quarterback competition in practice.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
I guess, I don't know. I mean, I think the
first point is the best point is that they're in
a very compromising the coaches in a compromising position. The
team is in a compromising position because you don't have
in my estimation, I think it's bigger again, I think
it's bigger than a quarterback's position. I think that they're
(02:50):
in need of more altogether as a team, personnel wise,
and that's the compromising position. There. End is that it's
going to take time to put it together, to gel
it together, and and my biggest question is does ap
(03:10):
get enough time to see that through or is it
looked at and discussed as though he, you know, he's
not the person for the job. And then they bring
somebody else in, and then you have to say that
becomes the question for the new guy that comes in,
because the problem, just like the quarterback issue, not being
addressed or not being changed by whichever one is starting.
(03:36):
Neither does changing the head coach whoever comes in there
or or him currently at head coach. There has to
be an assertive effort to improve this team personnel wise
in order for them to take it, especially especially being
in the AFC West. That's my take on it. I mean,
(03:58):
I don't think Connell or Minshew, I don't think they
rectify the situation. And once again, it's kind of if
I'm being honest, it kind of continues the theme. It's
one of those organizations that's been in disarray. It's one
of those organizations that has has had a culture that
(04:21):
isn't conducive towards having great success. It's been a long
long time, and so to me, you know, can Antonio
pears with the group of people he's brought in there
to help assist him and consult him. Can they turn
the culture of the Las Vegas Raiders? Can they turn
(04:44):
it around? And can they turn it around in enough
time where he's able to maintain his job. I think
that's the biggest question. They just always feel like they're
in this perpetual.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
State of no man's land, to where they're not good
enough to be a legitimate playoff contender or Super Bowl threat,
and they're not bad enough to get a high enough draft.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
Pick to get a really good quarterback.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
Because obviously they would have loved to have had Jaden Daniels,
they would have loved to have had Michael Pennix junior. Sure,
and then they just were picking too far back. And
it's almost like, if you guys could just suck a
little bit more, maybe you'd have an opportunity at one
of these guys. And the fan base is still scrambling
and looking for answers. But it goes back to and
(05:25):
we tried to tell us. We tried to tell Roberto
when he was here, you're gonna miss Derek Carr when
he's gone. You're gonna miss him when he's gone.
Speaker 4 (05:31):
Oh no, don't go on Berto like that. Don't no,
don't do that. I got to defend Berto here to
defend himself. If Derek Carr is still type of dude
you are, though Jonas well, no, if Derek Carr is
still there. I mean, in my defense, it was Roberto
who's attacking me for making those claims that he would
miss Derek Carr.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
So Jonas is only echoing when I told.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
Roberto very true.
Speaker 4 (05:52):
Look, if Roberto had his choice, there would be no
one on the field, no one coaching, because he would
tell him to fire their ass or bench their ass.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
Only to Berto much to us is after the Raiders games,
you know, ordoring them or right before them. That's the
only time, at least to me.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
I talked to him last night, and there you go,
exactly invited me out to an October Fest strength.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
You know what, together all the people he would have
thought they.
Speaker 3 (06:17):
Would invited you anything where there wasn't drinking involved.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
What what involves not drinking? I don't know.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
I mean driving, driving involves not drinking.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
I mean I invited him to free I invited practice
you know, drinking there. But we were fried. Yeah, we
were fried while we were there, though there was before
were fried, so that you know.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
And also I would say that if Derek Carr was
still there, then we're probably not having these issues with
Davante Adams.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
Antonio Peers, I don't know. Weren't the issues bubbling up
while he was still there that he might not want
to be there?
Speaker 2 (06:55):
No, yes, that was no car was gone and then
Josh McDaniel was the problem.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
That's correct, There you go, Yeah, you're right, Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
So Antonio Peers discussed the status of DeVante Adams.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
Yesterday it sounded like this.
Speaker 5 (07:12):
On the DeVante Adams situation and how quickly do you
want to get a resolution to this so you can
kind of move on.
Speaker 6 (07:18):
What update Devanta's doing, Royal hamstring's getting here, He's getting
closer and closer to get back on the field, on
the practice field, and good spirits. We talked, you know,
so everything's good.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
See any scenario where he can return to the Raiders.
He's still a Raider.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
He's never not been a Raider.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
Yeah, actually playing a game for the Raiders. He's still
a Raider.
Speaker 6 (07:38):
When he's healthy and he can play it, we'll play him.
He's not healthy right now, and he's getting closer though.
Speaker 3 (07:42):
That's a good part.
Speaker 6 (07:42):
He's working every day to get that hamstring's right. He's
in the right handspace mentally. Like I said, we talked
recently and had a good conversation. He's ready to play football.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Has he been rehabbing here at the facility? Antonio seen
him here. He seems a little over it.
Speaker 4 (07:58):
There seems to be a chance that zi porter was
trying to point out that when he is back one
hundred percent healthy, it may just coincide with the trade.
You know, it may just it may just be where
he is back on hundred percent healthy, just not practicing
him playing for the Raiders. It would make sense if
he wants to be traded and it just so happens
(08:20):
that hamstring magically is prepared and he's healthy, but it's
just in time for a trade.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
That would make a lot of sense.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
So would also makes sense if he doesn't because he
has been connected to injury in the past. That if
the trade, if they're trying to actively trade him, and
he's aware of the fact that maybe the asking price
is too high, that he needs to get his ass
back on the field and play so that his value
doesn't plummet or torpedo through the floor. That could be.
(08:54):
I mean, that could have been just understanding how the
landscape all works.
Speaker 4 (08:59):
I mean, well, I guess why does he care about
his value? He's getting paid regardless.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
He is getting paid regardless. But if I look at
it like this, beyond beyond this season, beyond this season,
if you want to try to get up out of there,
keep playing, continue to keep keep playing, try to raise
your value, show that you want to continue to play,
I don't. I mean, I know NBA guys do do it,
(09:23):
you know, But I just think that if you can't
get a trade, if there's no trade in sight, like
I tell you, there is no trade in sight. So
do you want to try to play out a hamstring
injury for the rest of the season or do you
want to get out here and play and try to
keep your value up. That's to me, that's how I
(09:44):
would be.
Speaker 4 (09:44):
Ko Collins just went on ir for a hamstring injury,
But I would say this, Here's here's the problem with
all that is, you know, Devonte's age plays a factor too,
and his injury history what you mentioned. So there's also
the other side of like are you going to go
out there and keep playing risk injury and the potential
of you know, that trade value diminishing altogether, could because
(10:05):
you get injured again, or being more you know, diminishing
goods at your age.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
So it's it's to me, it's more on the raiders
of like, well, you didn't trade up when.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
You should have to get a quarterback.
Speaker 4 (10:16):
Now you've got Devontae Adams, You've got a trade deadline.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
It's not that soon, but it's coming.
Speaker 4 (10:21):
And if you want to give a team that is
looking for a wide receiver, whether it's the Jets, Saints, Bills, whoever,
are throwing the conversation. If you want to get a
deal done, get a deal done, because otherwise, if you
wait till after the season, he's a year older, he's
already through another season. It's it's not gonna drive up
the value for him. And there's gonna be receivers that
(10:41):
come into the draft. There's gonna be free agent wide
receivers that you're in competition with.
Speaker 1 (10:46):
Right now.
Speaker 4 (10:48):
Right now is arguably the best time for the Raiders
to try to get something back in return. And unfortunately,
it's probably gonna be like a third and a fifth
or sixth. That's probably what it's gonna come down to.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
There's a better chance he plays for the Las Vegas
Aces this year then he does Creators again.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
It is yeah, that's true. That is to me, that's true. Uh,
it is over for him in Las Vegas.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
But we do have updated odds. Do we have the
game show gambling music we can play for these updated
Davante Adams next destination trade odds here.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
This is the best game show music song too, by
the way, So hell no.
Speaker 3 (11:25):
Damn, he said, hell no, hell no.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
All right, so where do we want to see? You
guys want to throw a team out and see what
the betting odds are. Courtesy of our friends at DraftKings.
The updated spot will go one at a time, kind
of can take turns?
Speaker 1 (11:41):
Can I have the first one? Who you want?
Speaker 2 (11:43):
The New York Jets day they are the favorite minus Yeah,
the Saints plus eight hundred. There's a team that's actually
more favorite than these Saints, with better odds in the
New or or shorter odds I should say than the New.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
Orleans shorter odds than the New Orleans Saints.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
Hmmm, Buffalo Bills.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
The Buffalo Bills are ten to one. Oh wow.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
Okay, Now it should be pointed out here that the
description and the details on this on these odds on
DraftKings are which team he takes his first snap with
Devanta Adams does after the NFL trade deadline.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
All right, the Raiders in the mix? They are.
Speaker 4 (12:33):
The Raiders are in the mix at plus three hundred.
That's so funny where he got Yeah, that's that's where
he tried. I was going to say that was a
bit of a trick, Ques, but I was.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
Right, because I was going to be like that was
like rhetoric, you know, or rhetorically speaking if I would
have said the Raiders, why would you? Or even being
you know, kind of sarcastic, I was going to say,
the Raiders.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
Even if they look at it and go, well, if
he's injured, you know his trade value. We can't get
a three form. We can only get four. It's like,
just get what you can get. Like, if he wants
to be gone and you want to move on, then
move on.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
What about Washington?
Speaker 1 (13:08):
I was about to say, what about the commanders because
they were going after they are not listed here?
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Oh no, what about Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh not listed here? It
only shows one full of teams. Uh, it's interesting. The
Chiefs are an interesting one way down. That would be
an interesting place for him to go though. But what's
interesting about it is that, let's your list jodas. Okay,
So the odds two days ago, two days were the
(13:36):
Jets at minus one one. I don't know if the
Roberts solid firing had anything to do with it, but
they've now gone to minus two hundred, turning that and
so some of the teams have.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
Kind of fallen through the Raiders.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
So a couple of days ago before the Roberts solid firing.
Speaker 3 (13:52):
It's it's so long to get to that.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
Can't you just give us because the give us a
list and then we can go through that. Do you
want the most recent or the ones previous to that
most recent? Right, give us the what date is the
most most recent? Jets minus two hundred, Raiders plus three
hundred Baltimore Ravens plus.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
Four you go, there your Ravens, there you go, come.
Speaker 2 (14:17):
On, Saints plus eight hundred, and the Bills tend to watch.
Speaker 4 (14:21):
We said the Bills, Yeah, the Bills could really use it.
You said Bills attend to one. You didn't say that
they're the fourth best team.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
You didn't say that. You said it like it was
really way down there, like one, Listen, I'm hosting this
game show. I can say whatever the hell that I want. Yeah,
that's expensive. That's the off air Jonas, I know.
Speaker 3 (14:41):
Yeah, so that's why you never got that prices, right,
job damn?
Speaker 1 (14:48):
And you know, based on alone, yeah, no, based on
what you feel.
Speaker 2 (14:54):
Based on some people that have posted that that show. Yeah,
that's a job you want, you know, it just depends
on a lot of stuff out there. By the way
the Steelers were once a part of this list. They
have now seen what we've mentioned them, mentioned them. Yeah,
they've fallen off.
Speaker 4 (15:10):
I mean we mentioned every possible team. I mean the Cowboys.
We throw the Cowboys in there, because Lord knows, the
Dallas is always throwing this thing.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
A couple of days ago, they were there at fourteen
or one. Go see, like, by the way, it's such
crap they throw no reason to go after but I
mean because injuries to Cooks. But that's just it's draft.
It's not just DraftKings. Everybody does that. They'll throw the
Cowboys in there because it'll generate a conversation around it,
that's all it is. Like, there's no chance that the
Cowboys are going to make a move for him. So
(15:39):
it is interesting though that after the firing, the odds
for the Jets increased one from minus one fifty to
minus two hundred. Maybe Woody Johnson's desperate enough to where
he's like, all right, I've made this big splash move.
Now I'm going to go all in. And if it's
not going to be this year, it's not going to
be any year. And maybe they bring in Devonte Adams
that way. So who knows. But point is he ain't
(16:02):
playing for the Raiders again. We can pretty much guarantee that.
And by the way, if you doubt us, you know,
we could just go straight to Antonio Pierce for that
sort of answer.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
Oh yeah, the show sure can nice. Want you hit
him up right now? What do you think he's doing?
Oh no, we in season. I ain't playing that game.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knocks of the Year coming
up next here speaking of gambling, I mean, you talk
about somebody who is way too cocky, way too confident.
It's the return of Quinn's Wins and it's yours next
here on FSR.
Speaker 5 (16:39):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (16:53):
You know, this whole Quinn's Win stuff has really taken
on a life of its own, right Well, it just
you know, cherry picking games, you know which I wish
Pete brisketball here? Hold on, hold, how have I cherry
picked games.
Speaker 1 (17:08):
I mean just you know, like I'm.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
Literally picking games that are being played on Thursday night.
It's actually the exact opposite. I am stuck, for example,
with tonight's matchup on Thursday Night Football between the Seattle
Seahawks and San Francisco forty nine Ers, and last time
I checked, it was sitting at three and a half.
If you could check for me for the updated odds,
I would love for that hook to be gone. Unfortunately
(17:30):
it's still there. So that is not something that I
would say I cherry picked.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
But it feels like you and the meat Wagon have
gotten together and you're looking at teaser lines instead of
the actual No.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
It just like there's no you know, no, not at all.
Speaker 4 (17:44):
In fact, I try to get him to sometimes, you know,
buy a hook, to buy down to three if he's listening.
Speaker 3 (17:49):
But that typically hasn't happen.
Speaker 4 (17:51):
I've been actually talk to me Wagon this week, and
by the way, that being said, those hooks don't you
don't want to play with those hooks.
Speaker 1 (17:56):
It screwed me out of the Bengals Ravens this week. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (18:01):
Yeah, is that where you just try to segue in
and give your mention of Knox locks.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
I mean, it's been on a heater recently.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
I didn't want to bring that up here Saturdays to
the Eastern time eleven to one am Pacific time, but
it's I mean, we've been on a heater.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
But listen, I.
Speaker 4 (18:14):
Think I think for the for the majority of us,
give those hours again because that's usually when most of
us are going the bathroom. So we're not gonna we're
not gonna be listening to that show. Now, the show
that comes off before it. I've heard a lot of content.
They're always keeping me up on Game. I don't know
about Oh.
Speaker 1 (18:30):
Yeah, undercard on Game. I've heard of it. Undercard on Game.
I've ever heard of that one? Well, you slap him?
I mean I never heard of that. Damn you, bro.
You put a mic around on it.
Speaker 4 (18:43):
He starts talking trash, but you take that mic away.
Speaker 3 (18:48):
It's like he's got no powers.
Speaker 1 (18:51):
He's got no powers?
Speaker 4 (18:52):
Did he stands stands at the corner of the room
looking like that that weird guy.
Speaker 1 (18:57):
Man just walking.
Speaker 4 (19:00):
You really should just bring a mic with you wherever
you go, and I do. I'm sure you do. I'm
sure you have your mic and your mike condom for it.
Speaker 3 (19:08):
Yes, I do. Oh you did to do it?
Speaker 1 (19:11):
Radio show? Pop it right now, do a podcast. You
guys have the lucy app me too. Let's let's get
out here.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
Let me just pop this in here, all right.
Speaker 2 (19:19):
So with that said, apparently this is really really like
a big, big production at this point, Ladies and gentlemen,
come on, I'm a winner.
Speaker 3 (19:30):
Winning cures all illnesses.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
It really does. I'm going to win. It's Quinn's wins.
Speaker 2 (19:37):
All right.
Speaker 4 (19:39):
We're coming off a week where were we here three
and one last week? Seven and three on the year.
Let's go with a little Thursday night football. We talked
about it a moment ago. An NFC West Divisional matchup tonight,
the Seattle Seahawks taken on the San Francisco forty nine ers,
already talked about the line at three and a half.
Don't love it, don't love the hook, but I'm gonna
(20:01):
lay the points with the San Francisco forty nine ers.
The Seattle Sehawks defense is injury riddled right now, with
a bunch of different guys that have struggled.
Speaker 3 (20:11):
And look, they gave up over four and twenty yards
to the New York Giants twenty four first downs.
Speaker 4 (20:18):
That's awful, and that's for an offense that it was
struggling coming into it this past week. So I think
San Francisco we would be able to make some Hey
brock Purty, as long as he eliminates the turnovers, they
will be able to take care of business.
Speaker 3 (20:32):
Lay the points here with the San Francisco forty nine
ers on the short week.
Speaker 4 (20:37):
Next up James Madison taken on Coastal Carolina. Both teams
are sitting at four and one. However, James Madison is
coming off a lost to Louisiana Monroe last week on
the road. They get back home for this one. And really,
James Madison has dominated this series the last three meetings.
(20:57):
They've outscored the Shop to Clear's forty eight to thirty
one in that span.
Speaker 3 (21:03):
And so despite the.
Speaker 4 (21:05):
Loss last week to Louisiana Monroe, the Dukes have been
racking up points.
Speaker 3 (21:10):
This team can score wins over.
Speaker 4 (21:13):
North Carolina ball State as well, one hundred and thirty
three points. Their quarterback Alonzo Barnett, the third He's been
able to sling it.
Speaker 3 (21:21):
Around a little bit.
Speaker 4 (21:22):
He's ran a little bit too, but at the end
of the day, man, this James Madison team can score
even their defense can score. Their defensive force fifteen turnovers,
and they've already got three defensive especial teams touchdown on season,
so we know they're going to be able to put
up some points.
Speaker 3 (21:38):
Coastal Carolina, on the other hand, they can score as well.
Speaker 4 (21:41):
Even Vasco their quarterback, or excuse me, Ethan Vasco their quarterback.
He's coming off one of his best performances just a
week ago. Braydon Bennett the running back, He's able to
have a little hay two in the ground game. So
the play on this one is the over of sixty.
That's what I like the best. Now, if you really
want to make a play on the spread, I hate
(22:02):
the fact that it's up to nine and a half.
I think these teams are somewhat even, but this game
hits the over. And if you had to play the
side of James Madison laying the nine and a half points,
they've dominated this matchup. This is not the same Coast
of Carolina team as we saw during the course of COVID.
And also they've you know, they got to go on
(22:23):
the road. They have to go to James Madison to
play this one. So I would lay the nine and
a half points, but I love the over of sixty
and then laying the three and a half tonight with
the San Francisco point niners.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
All right, there it is maybe there it is Quinn's
wins here on a Thursday.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
Moe, Am.
Speaker 4 (22:37):
You know what's the worst part LeVar is Jonas is
actively rooting against me. I can get texts and stuff
like late night, I'll be like, oh you see that,
see that.
Speaker 1 (22:44):
I'll be like, eat crap, eat crow a just blood
that was correct?
Speaker 2 (22:48):
Yeah, And listen, that's the right of passage with guys
and their friends. You root against your friends teams, you
root against their success with stuff like this. Not in
real life stuff, but this stuffsolutely. Yes, I'm hoping for
owing three. I am, what's your problemly?
Speaker 1 (23:05):
What is there? Something like did I do something wrong?
Speaker 4 (23:07):
All right?
Speaker 1 (23:08):
But I mean, you're just showing your passive aggressiveness. Man.
Speaker 4 (23:11):
Actually, it's only because he's so bad at betting. He
wants the rest of us to join him because he's down.
He's down in the cellar. He's just chilling down there.
He's like, man, it's lonely.
Speaker 1 (23:22):
If it was no one.
Speaker 3 (23:23):
Loses as much as I lose in betting, could someone
join me?
Speaker 2 (23:27):
That's always saying if it wasn't for Ryan Rico or
whatever that guy's name is, the holder for the Bengals
last week, I'm looking at five oh to one my
last two weeks.
Speaker 3 (23:37):
Oh, but you're on the right side of that one.
But I was, you're on the right side of this.
Speaker 2 (23:39):
I was, yes, By the way, I haven't Pete Risco
saying that people are tweeting him like, Pete, were you
on the right side.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
Of this one? Good?
Speaker 4 (23:47):
And that's the thing that's the unfortunate part about not
working with Pete anymore is even while I was doing
digital work with him, I was bringing out a lot of.
Speaker 1 (23:55):
The sayings like we'll bring him back.
Speaker 4 (23:56):
I told him I wanted to make him T shirts
for like the quarterback scale.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
And everything else that he does.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
Like.
Speaker 4 (24:01):
The other thing is Pete will bring up back to
back road games in the NFL. Now I can't say
this when I'm talking with Pete because he gets really
irritated by it. But I'll be like, you know, Pete,
back to back road games isn't that big of a deal,
even though you make it that way.
Speaker 3 (24:19):
I was like, at least that's my experience as a player,
to be.
Speaker 1 (24:21):
Like, oh, oh.
Speaker 4 (24:24):
You're pulled out that just because you played card Ah,
you played I didn't cart it. He would always get
upset about that. I'm like, well, Pete, I mean, it's
not like they're traveling that far. Then I even travel
through time zones, so it's not that big of a deal.
You know, it goes somewhere else sometimes. I mean, it's tough,
but it's not the end of the world.
Speaker 1 (24:42):
But he always likes to.
Speaker 3 (24:43):
Use the back to back roadies.
Speaker 4 (24:46):
Anytime he's got to pick on a game and he
needs like a little nudge as to why he's going
to pick one team over the other, it'll always be
because it was back to back road games.
Speaker 2 (24:56):
Can I ask you about the So you like the
Niners tonight against the Seahawks, the NFC West most disappointing
division thus far in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (25:05):
It's hard because they've been riddled with injuries. I mean,
look look at the Rams for example, Like, I'm surprised
they've been as competitive at times as they've been with
the oat line and the wide receiver injuries.
Speaker 4 (25:17):
It's tough. I mean, they don't have they don't have
the depth. That's a young team to be able to
overcome that. Stafford's trying to do his best. Defensively, they're
doing what they can, but that was tough. I think
Arizona's are still a young team roster that's building. But
you saw how competitive they could be with their win
last week over San fran So you know, then you
combine in San France some of their injuries, McCaffrey being
out with the tendon nightist from all the love making.
Speaker 3 (25:39):
I guess to his time, what what? No one's brought
that up yet, let.
Speaker 1 (25:44):
Me just look into this. Then I'm not gonna sit
here and let these.
Speaker 4 (25:47):
I'll keep going. And then Seattle. And that's the other
thing about Seattle tonight. I don't know which Seattle team
to expect. There's times when I watch their offense like
they're one of the best in the NFL, and there's
other times when they just kind of go dormant and defensively,
it's it seems like they've tried to bring in Mike
McDonald to fix it. It's gonna be hard to do
that in the year's time. So a lot of concerns
(26:09):
about them. I would say if anything. There's a lot
of parody right now. I don't know a parody on
like the top end of the league. But I think
it's a division where any given night, any team can
beat anyone, and it's you can't necessarily say that for
all the divisions in the NFL.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
All right, So, so Brady likes the Niners minus three
and a half at the Seahawks tonight.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
LeVar, who do you if you had to make a
pick on this, who would you say? Well, first, I say,
to your point, I'll say, yes, it is. The NFC
West has been disappointing, even with I mean, obviously you
got to take the injuries into consideration. That's disappointing because
I want to see the forty nine ers be good,
you know, I want to see them play at a
high level, and injuries have have prevented them from having that.
(26:49):
Saying with the Rams, you know, with Pookin Nakula being
out and stuff like that, I mean, and Cooper Cup
to Cooper Cup being out, I mean, these are teams
that are are not at their their full capacity with
with these major major players being out of the lineup.
So Arizona has been pretty pretty interesting. They're a little
(27:09):
hot and cold, but you know they've been been more
competitive than what they have been. I look at tonight's matchup,
I think that you still have some of the premier
catchers pass catchers on on Seattle's team, with with Lockett
and with uh dk metcalf uh So. To me, I
look at them as the team with the way Geno
(27:30):
Smith we talked about, you know, singing his praises uh
maybe a week ago on how he you know is
is sticking the ball in small windows and making throws
that are just pretty pretty pretty amazing. This this Seattle
team at three and two, I think is pretty good,
pretty pretty solid. I think they cover that that three.
(27:51):
I think I'll go with the Seattle Seahawks. Sticks picks yeah,
oh oh wow, oh oh. That came out of nowhere.
Speaker 3 (28:03):
And for the records, it's three.
Speaker 1 (28:04):
And a half. Three and a half. Yeah, all right,
let's like, let's do it one more time. Let's do
it one more time, one time, sticks picks, Seattle is
going to cover to three and a half. What let's
do it one more time? Here we go, here we go.
You're ready, you're ready, sticks picks. Yeah, I was going
to cover the three and.
Speaker 2 (28:26):
The sound effect before sticks picks is that like flies buzzing, or.
Speaker 1 (28:31):
It's like something about to smash you. You know, it's
like something listen, sticks picks. Why does that make you laugh?
Sounds like a bug getting smashed about. Something's falling, something
really heavy's falling to the ground. It's just really aggressive.
I mean, I'm a black man. What do you expect racist?
Speaker 2 (28:52):
By the way, they had another one already done and
then they said, oh, by the way, he's black, and
they came.
Speaker 1 (28:56):
And changed it. They had to be a little bit
more aggressive where I left. Not educationally driven, just more
athletic and aggressive sticks picks. Damn, damn. All right, well
I'm aggressively be right on my pick. I'll tell you
(29:18):
that about that. All right, So there we go.
Speaker 4 (29:22):
Take that aggressiveness. I do like the aggressiveness. Now, now,
is there a rationale for the aggressiveness? Why you feel
so confident about that pick?
Speaker 1 (29:30):
Yeah, I mean they just have more weapons. I think
that they have more weapons and they're going to cover.
I have a feeling. I have a feeling, right, I
have a feeling. Game is gonna suck. To be honest
with you.
Speaker 2 (29:41):
Really, under well, I just think law of averages. We've
got a good one last week between Tampa and Atlanta.
We're probably gonna get a bag of crap. Well, I mean,
that's that's a hard one to match. I mean, that
was a pretty entertaining game. It doesn't have to be
on that level, does it. I don't think it's going
to be on that level, But I think it'll be
a good game. I mean, they're foes, they're divisional foes.
They generally those are generally really good games they played,
(30:03):
they play those games, they're they're familiar with one another.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
It matters. And then you know, in the rankings and
the ratings moving forward for the playoff runs, playoff bids.
San Franz has a lot riding on this, you know,
in terms of trying to keep up in this playoff race.
They got a lot riding on this, so and so
and so.
Speaker 4 (30:22):
Now that it was part of it that you just
you naturally have an adversarial personality where you just want
to pick opposite of you.
Speaker 1 (30:30):
Yeah, No, I don't always pick against what you pick.
I just picked the sticks picks, that's right. I just
picked the right pick. That's why I get that that
sound bite like that, you know, when I hit the
right pick. Like, I didn't go with the bugs. I
didn't go with all of you get smashed though, not
just the bugs, the bugs getting smashed. Listen, I didn't
(30:52):
pick on all of them, you know. I didn't go
over all of the games. I just that's the one
that there's only one tonight. Yeah, but you went through
all of them, so I had to go all of them.
I just wanted to the college game. Oh yeah, college.
And by the way, Middle Tennessee is playing.
Speaker 4 (31:07):
You know, I didn't go over any of you know what,
I almost I almost did a pick and didn't. I
didn't really feel good about either side on that one,
so I wasn't gonna mess with it.
Speaker 3 (31:14):
But I figured you would want me to pick something in.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
That game they go over College. I mean, I'd probably
bet Louisian attack, to be honest with you, but you know,
well they just.
Speaker 4 (31:26):
Oh Sunny Kemby just actually, I believe stepped out for
play calling this past week, so he's he's changed over
the play calling.
Speaker 1 (31:34):
Dude, is there a lots so.
Speaker 4 (31:35):
Well A little bit uneasy on how that's necessarily gonna
work out for tonight's game.
Speaker 1 (31:40):
Well, listen, I do know this.
Speaker 2 (31:41):

Speaker 4 (34:54):
He's a white cornerback factory of pam.
Speaker 1 (34:58):
Hey you need a white tight end, a white butter
and white corner. I mean they do produce those. Yeah,
you're you got a good point there. Yeah, so there
you go, big win
