Speaker 1 (00:59):
We were talking about knuckleballs in the first hour.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
Yesterday, but anybody that missed it lead to Lapar Executive producer,
tried to force feed us the Oscars nominations.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
Everyone, Could you do this? Could you email those to
me so I could print them off and wipe my
ass with them. Damn Yeah, could you do that for me?

Speaker 5 (01:31):
There were some bad knobs, Yeah, you got it?

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Bad nams?

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Did you hear that one?

Speaker 3 (01:37):
Do bad nams?

Speaker 1 (01:39):
What are you talking?

Speaker 3 (01:43):
That's that's a kid who grew up in Hollywood.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
That's the problem. That's a guy who thinks he grew
up in Hollywood.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
He did, but he did.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
He grew up in Hollywood.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
His dad was the drummer in the Pinheads, but he thinks.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Was the drummer in the Hates. He thinks his daddy
was supposed to be Biff.

Speaker 4 (02:01):
I'd ask if you've been punching the stomach in the
last five years. But I feel like, based on some
things I've been told this week, maybe you have.

Speaker 5 (02:09):
What a weird thing to say?

Speaker 4 (02:12):
Because it's just like yet spot on, Yeah, very weird but.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Weird yet accurate. What does that work?

Speaker 3 (02:24):
What was the biggest outrage who got snubbed the worst
in the Oscars?

Speaker 5 (02:28):
Well, it would be.

Speaker 6 (02:29):
The fact that Amelia pees that's how you pronounced Petes,
not perez.

Speaker 4 (02:34):
But had thirteen nominations.

Speaker 6 (02:36):
Thirteen nominations. There you go, Brady. So you were reading
up on it, you know.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
Well, because I had to watch the clip on social
media and I was like, oh my goodness, this movie
actually got nominated.

Speaker 5 (02:47):
Yeah, it's really bad. It's the next one. That one
Emilia Petes, not Perez Amelia.

Speaker 4 (02:54):
Which, by the way, she's a fantastic address.

Speaker 5 (02:56):
Yeah, Zoe, she'll probably get best Supporting Actress.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Is she the woman from west World?

Speaker 4 (03:03):
No? Yes, no she is. She is.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
She was in Westwood. Have a different way.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Wow, he's looking at it, dude.

Speaker 5 (03:12):
He's telling you that that actress is her name? Is
they look alike? It's not the same actress.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
What are you trying to say? They all look alike.

Speaker 5 (03:22):
I know you're you're trying to say wow racist. You
know you're thinking, wow, what is her day?

Speaker 1 (03:31):
What is? You better get it too, Yeah, you better
not get.

Speaker 5 (03:36):
It wrong way you think look exactly like and Zoe Soldana.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Yeah, they do look just alike. That is very true.
They look that and they do look alike. That is true.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
Damn. Yeah, although well, Zoe Saldana's six years younger.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (03:54):
Sandy Newton is cool as hell.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
They're both very pretty, very pretty. They are.

Speaker 4 (04:01):
What's from London Westminster?

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Huh?

Speaker 6 (04:07):
She drives around my neighborhood. I see her in her,
which one?

Speaker 1 (04:12):
Which one? Oh? My waity's the European Her daughter is
now an actress.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
She does here we go there, I go, all right, well,
d bag things.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Well listen, uh you know Sandy Newton, Zoe Aldon or
whatever her name is, disrespect Zoe sald and what is it.
What's the name of the movie emiliusz or something?

Speaker 6 (04:42):
You No, that's actually the one. I have not seen
all the Best Picture nominations and it's on Netflix.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
I haven't seen her.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Wow, all right, yeah, but I already knew that. I
already knew that interesting. That's why was she's the one
from your I knew though already I was aware.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
I'm just saying, look at the picture I sent you.
That's not yeah, that's not that's not understandard.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
It's not okay.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
No, it's not okay, it's not okay.

Speaker 5 (05:15):
But you know that's fine.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
You know how that all works.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
Yeah, here's the Yeah. No, I was gonna say, uh, yeah,
Lee's got the Oscars nominations and all that covered, and
you know, a big fan of that. But we luck
on this show's football. We've got we've got a we
like football Awards. We've got the finalists that are out
for some of these awards that people are going to
be debating spoiler alerts throughout the throughout the NFL m

(05:43):
v P your finalist, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Saquon Barkley,
Joe Burrow, Jared goff Uh. Most of these feel like
they're pretty easy to sort through, like who's going to
be the Like Josh Allen's gonna win m v P.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
It was appeared that that's what this is setting up
to be, is that what appears, that's what it appears.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
What appears in front of me is not Josh Allen
or Lamar.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
Jack That is Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson very effective.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
If they opened a bakery. So that one feels like
it's even though we've talked that maybe Lamar Jackson deserves
the NOD, I feel like.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
Saquon Burke Barkley deserves the NOD.

Speaker 4 (06:32):
Well, that's working me. That's where when you look at
the Offensive Player of the Year nominations you have basically
Derek Henry and Jamar Chase are added to the list.
So the finals for MVPR Josh Allen, Saquon Barkley, Lamar Jackson,
Joe Burrow, Jared Goff. Goff is not a part of
the Offensive Player of the Year, neither is Josh Allen,

(06:54):
and instead of those two, it's Dereck Henry and Jamar
Chase along with Lamar Jackson along with Joe Burrow as
part of the list. Well no, yeah, So it tells
me that Alan's gonna win the m v P, is
gonna win the Offensive Player of the Year, and then
you're probably gonna see Joe Burrow with a runaway winning

(07:16):
comeback Player of the Year, even though Donald had a
great year. I think that's the other person like where
they'll find a way of giving them all an award essentially.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
By the way, what's Sam Donald coming back from anyways? Okay,
Joe Burrow was injured.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
Damn what you mean, Damn he was injured?

Speaker 3 (07:36):
Okay, there was dog Joe Burrow. Remember he couldn't grip
a water bottle correctly, and people like, oh, he's man,
He's still not recovered. His career is never going to
be the same. He had the best season of his career.
He's arguably one of the better quarterbacks.

Speaker 4 (07:49):
You know, Pete Prisco has never never faded away from
his prediction that he went to multiple Super Bowls. So
I'm just saying, he does.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
You know it does?

Speaker 4 (07:59):
Am I on an island on that thought, like you
can't say that? And then and no year so far,
and how long has Burrow been in the league six years,
five years.

Speaker 3 (08:06):
Whatever it's been, yeah, well twenty twenty, yeah, so now
we have five years.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
Yeah, and obviously that he's not gonna win the super
Bowl this year, so you'd have to go into it
like he's never predicted the Bengals to win a super Bowl.
Yet he's like, no, no, no, I should get credit
for that. Like the year they went to the super Bowl,
He's like, tell me I was right, Tell me I
was right. I was like, well, they haven't won the
super Bowl, Pete, so like we can't say that and
obviously lost.

Speaker 3 (08:30):
And also based on his track record of health, you know,
Pete might be running out of time here, Like, who know,
Burrow doesn't strike me as somebody who's going to be
around for you know, sixteen seventeen years. Right, I'm just
saying like he like every year something pops up, whether
it's the need, Well.

Speaker 4 (08:43):
That's how it was in college too. I mean, think
about that until he got the LSU, but at Ohio
Stadium he may even missed you know some time.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
Uh my big thing on and LeVar was saying, saquon
for MVP. I like my MVPs to play all seventeen games,
not sit out the last one.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
Personally, Wow, why they sat him out? That's why.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
That's why I would go. You know, I mean, Josh Allen,
Lamar Jackson, if we're asked to sit out and they
stepped up and said no, we want to play, and
they had enough.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
Pull with him if he breaks the record. Honestly, guys,
if he breaks the record, are you able to give
the MVP award to Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson if
he breaks the single season rushing record.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
If he broke it out, yeah, I could give it
to sink one barble.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
Feel like you have to. I almost feel like you
have to award him for a record that has stood
for how many years? Like what thirty some years? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (09:45):
I mean.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
I would just say in general, ificant record, right.

Speaker 4 (09:50):
Yeah, I would say in general. I thought he probably
should have won it anyway because what he did was
so extraordinary this year and if you really want to
like die into it, Lamar had better stats than josh Allen.
He won and had ahead. And mind you, we're not
looking at the playoffs the MVP. These awards are all
regular season awards, so you have to wipe your mind

(10:12):
of what's happened so far in the playoffs because you
know that's not what it's supposed to factor out right,
So if we're just basing it off of the regular season,
I would say Saquon probably should have won it for
the season that he had, and you could probably make
arguments as to why what he did was so much,

(10:32):
you know, far away better than everyone else. I mean,
I get josh Aden a great year. Lamar Jackson had
a better year than he did last year as an MVP,
But people were gonna sit there and say, well, what
about Derrick Henry. He had a phenomenal year. He was
part of that. Okay, so then those two split votes
are you know, you can't make a decision there. But
I still thought in the end, Saquon season was such
a boost and a lift to that team that he

(10:57):
even if he didn't win it, because you know, you're
talking about breaking the record, he's doing it in more games.
So as it as incredible as it would have been
if he did break the record, it's still not in
my mind, really breaking what the record was.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
Yeah, but that argument was used against Eric Dickerson too.
You know. O. J. Simpson did it in far less games,
what like two to three two.

Speaker 4 (11:21):
I'd say the same thing, like, you're not really breaking
the record. It's just kind of how we view it.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
I don't. I think it's breaking the record. It goes
in the record book. It's it's a it's a game.
You broke the record, like regular season Russian record. And
and for what it's worth, everybody has those same amounts
of games, and don't nobody come close to breaking that record.
But every so often you'll see so I get that
somebody's good enough to do it.

Speaker 4 (11:48):
It's just it's still an apples door, just comparison for me.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
If they where you're coming from, I get where you're
coming from. But it's it's just the feet of it,
period is to me, if you can get that far
along in the season running the ball, especially especially because
I'll throw this element into it, it's not a run
first league anymore. And and football has always been run first.

(12:16):
He's doing that. He's doing that in a past first
NFL League, which is.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
What makes him quitting the final week of the season
that much worse.

Speaker 4 (12:24):
He didn't quit, I was gonna say though, Like, and
what stands out to me is when you bring up
you know, oj you know, doing it in as few
games as he did, you know, it brings a different
you know, turn to the juices loose. I think about
what the juice is loose and what that meant.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
Yeah, all I'll say is the juice being loose was
really loose with the juice is what I'll say. We
were kind of interrupted just now. But with that being
somebody just knocked and came on in, like, you know,
like it was just describe your knock, all right. It

(13:03):
was polite to knock, but it just wasn't the most
perfect time to be polite and knocked. Like just open
the door and see that you hear people talking.

Speaker 3 (13:13):
Let's just have the full discussion about what the arrival
and what it's looked like.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
Did you want to do that you want to do
I didn't want to do it, but we can do it.

Speaker 4 (13:20):
I want you to do it.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
We can do it.

Speaker 3 (13:23):
We arrived at This is a for people listening, this
is a what they call a cluster, and it's basically
a building that's got a bunch of different radio stations
from iHeart all in the same building. And so we're
just guests here, and so we are doing the show
from a room conference nearby one of the studios. And

(13:43):
so we've got our set up here and everything's fine.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
And you know, I like us to be early. So
I got I got Jonas down and in the lobby
and us getting out at four fifteen. We left back
no later than for eighteen on the on the dow.
It was for a team when the uber pulled up.
So we get here at about four thirty ish, four

(14:07):
point thirty five ish, and we didn't get into the
building until.

Speaker 3 (14:15):
Fifty two fifty four fifty because the end it's.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
Not warm outside by the way, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
We were stuck outside because the security guard didn't know.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
Who we were and he was not removing himself down
from his post and was not going to he wasn't
even going to let us wait.

Speaker 3 (14:37):
Now, So we were waiting. We were waiting out in
the street, and then finally you know, gentlemen showed up
us like, oh it is everything cool, like you guys,
all right.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
I was just waiting for the call man like good,
everything good. Like I'm sitting there like kind of like
looking at Jonas like I'm kind of warm. I'm bundled up.
It's not crazy crazy crazy crazy offensively cold, but it
is cold. It is cold. And we had been out
here for at least fifteen to twenty minutes and we

(15:11):
get in and so, you know, no problem. Though we
talked he it's no problem. I didn't want him to
feel good, but they problem.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
We're walking like I went to go get coffee last
break and a guy didn't know who I was, and
so he's asking like who is that? And so we
had to like double check. And I don't think they
were expecting us in this room because the guy just
knocked on the room as if he needed it for
a meeting. Right.

Speaker 4 (15:31):
So it seems like that's a common common theme lately
of anyone we're doing a remote show.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
I'm not getting involved. I'm not getting involved.

Speaker 4 (15:40):
Like we were set up there, I'm going to be here.
We were set up there in the South Florida. They
were a little inconvenienced class.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
They were looking at us like, you guys are still here, WTF?
All the way you guys are still Every single person
that walked by was looking at it, like, guys, you
didn't realize is that we removed the table? We removed.
We removed like.

Speaker 4 (16:03):
Jonas's single days come back. You're still here?

Speaker 3 (16:07):
Huh?

Speaker 1 (16:08):
We removed everything. Why are you here?

Speaker 4 (16:11):
I thought you were You're heading out.

Speaker 3 (16:13):
By the way, Lee, did we ever move the furniture
back to its original place in the hotel?

Speaker 1 (16:21):
We rolled out all right? I mean, I mean we moved.

Speaker 5 (16:24):
There was a lot of stuff that needed to be
clean in that.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
There was there was nothing there. Lee had to move
them heavy as pieces of furniture heavy moving them back.
They looked like they were not They weren't like you
ain't trying to steal from them. If you want to
try to steal from them, you're only going to get
one item and you're not going to get very far.
I think they were heavy.

Speaker 3 (16:51):
Who do you guys? Speaking of the awards?

Speaker 1 (16:54):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (16:54):
We comfortable with Dan Campbell getting it over Kevin O'Connell
or does Kevin O'Connell have a I have a saying.

Speaker 1 (17:01):
This had such a nose dive, man, but he did
it again.

Speaker 4 (17:06):
It's it's only it's only regular season at the end.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
Of the regular season, they nose. I thought there was
just one day that was it.

Speaker 4 (17:17):
Yeah, they were playing for the division, the final game
and the number one seed.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
They lost more hitting down the stretch like it was now,
more struggles taking place. It was just it was just
a two weeks activity.

Speaker 4 (17:30):
It was just two weeks of negativity with Sam Darnold.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
And green Baby. Oh no, they beat the Packers' dude,
they were.

Speaker 4 (17:38):
They were playing for the number one overall seed going
into Week eighteen versus Detroit, and then they crapped the
bed the last two games.

Speaker 3 (17:46):
To two, Rams getting a defensive Rookie of the Year.

Speaker 4 (17:50):
Yeah, nods to Rams, Cooper and fisk in there too.

Speaker 3 (18:00):
But what do you think about that?

Speaker 4 (18:01):
So we're talking about what are you talking about?

Speaker 1 (18:05):
Yeah, the exceptions not I'm just saying Hendrickson, you know,
t J.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
There you go, he could get you.

Speaker 1 (18:13):
You got JJ T or t J Watt.

Speaker 4 (18:16):
Yeah, we're back, We are back. That's right, that's right, bitch.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
I'm not damn. I mean, I'm not Lee. I got spine. Dang,
that's that's Lee's you know.

Speaker 3 (18:33):
By the way.

Speaker 4 (18:33):
Some guys, actually I was directed that at least by.

Speaker 3 (18:37):
The way something some guy said a random tweeting earlier.
I have no idea why he did. He just writes
in and says Lee has no balls. Brady was right,
he's a bitch. I mean what that for? No reason?

Speaker 7 (18:52):
Where was the Lee? You guys are you guys are
the back of my car? Get out my car?

Speaker 1 (19:05):
Man?

Speaker 4 (19:05):
That's not cool, man, Bob Man.

Speaker 3 (19:10):
So why is uh Patrick Sartan the favorite to win
Defensive Player of the Year, Like, like, what is the statistical.

Speaker 4 (19:19):
He didn't have a he did have a well, he
did have.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
A great year.

Speaker 4 (19:22):
It's just seventeen sas I know, and we typically give
it to guys who get a lot of sacks. But
if there's okay, what held back to begs?

Speaker 1 (19:32):
Teas too? Though good? Their second No?

Speaker 4 (19:35):
What what held back to Bengals this year?

Speaker 1 (19:37):
Their second defense is a little bit defense just getting
it in. He was ill, they were well, yeah, I
felt like they were doing what they needed to do
up front. I just don't think that they were able
to do enough for to help their offense out, you know,
but I thought they weren't bad up front. I thought

(19:58):
they were bad up front.

Speaker 4 (20:00):
It's not that whether they're bad or not. It's just
you kind of get lumped in with your defense, right.
It's like if you have a great year as a quarterback,
like for example, Joe Burrow had an unbelievable statistical year,
Yes he did, but they didn't win enough games and
on the playoffs. So instead of us looking at him
as an MVP, which he's got as good of a
case as anyone, we look at him and say, well,
he's not probably gonna be the comeback Player of the year.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
Mm hm.

Speaker 4 (20:24):
You know what's crazy? By the way, too, about Hendrickson,
it's two years in a row now, he's had seventeen
and a half sacks and.

Speaker 3 (20:31):
He was trying to get a contract last year, like Buddy's.

Speaker 4 (20:34):
Like you look his last in his last five years,
and he's been healthy in the last two years, but
like he's he's been on a terror like he's been
arguably you can saw him the best or one.

Speaker 1 (20:46):
Of the best. You look at it, you don't look
he don't look like he's he just looks like a
normal dude, bro like like a like a normal granddad
type dude in his uniform.

Speaker 4 (20:58):
Is that because of his face or because he's because he's.

Speaker 1 (21:00):
No it's like, damn either it's just the way he
wears his uniform.

Speaker 4 (21:05):
Damn oh, because he's where's.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
His uniform where there's no flash to his uniform at all.
It's because he's really the way you I mean, I
know guys who did like dressed that way, and we're
not white.

Speaker 3 (21:23):
If he did a twenty three me old today.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
You white dough. But that's not the point that I'm
making here. You guys are trying to make it about
the color of his skin.

Speaker 3 (21:33):
That's right.

Speaker 4 (21:34):
I'm just saying, like, when when I look at what's
fashionable as a forty year old man, I like Peter
Peter Malar. That looks like that looks that golf outfit
looks very fashionable. You're like, man, this stiff white guy
in here.

Speaker 3 (21:49):
Who do you think Ryan say that? Who do you
think Ryan Clark would vote for? Miles Garrett or Trey Hendrickson.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
Well, I'm not going to get involved with that comra.
Why not neither. But I'm not pulling me into no
beef stuff. Man, I'm not to beef.

Speaker 4 (22:04):
We're just asking a questions. I mean, I've got a
pretty good ideas he's trying to throw.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
I'm not going to speak on behalf of Ryan Clark.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
What about him?

Speaker 4 (22:14):
But you're on our show, You're not on the pivot, Okay,
you can go ahead and say.

Speaker 3 (22:19):
Not about it. What about Marcellus Wiley versus No decisions
on me?

Speaker 1 (22:23):
Huh?

Speaker 3 (22:23):
What about Marcellus Wiley versus Ryan Clark?

Speaker 1 (22:25):
What do you get?

Speaker 3 (22:25):
You get up saying that?

Speaker 1 (22:26):
What do you mean? Yeah? There are they beef from
right now? Yeah? Yeah, big time? Yeah, what what's it about?

Speaker 6 (22:33):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (22:34):
Mar Marcellis is like, uh, well, I don't want to
do that because then it'll come across as as an
insult and I don't want to get involved. But good dude,
I'm super smart, like for real smart.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
He he just pointed out the hypocrisy and Ryan.

Speaker 4 (22:51):
Is a rap.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
He produced Clark good.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
Ryan Clark defended Lamar Jackson's losing in a playoff game
when last year he was critical of Josh Allen and
saying that at some point Josh Allen's gonna have to
get over the hump IFHO want to consider him one
of the best, and Marcel's was pointing out, why don't
we do the same when you talk about Lamar Jackson,
And then it spun off from that to what was

(23:17):
the response, just, uh, you know when you see me
in public, you don't talk like that. You're trying to
cater to people. Clark said that, yeah to uh, you know,
which was kind of interesting. He screenshoted a text message
which appeared to be to himself to try and make
it seem like somebody was defending Ryan Clark be a
text and Marcel's called about on that fun this is fun.

Speaker 1 (23:47):
Too. I really don't create the media. I don't get
the media beefs. I really don't. I just don't. I
don't know. Maybe maybe I had significant you know what
it is career where I don't need to that way.
I don't. I just don't know.

Speaker 4 (24:02):
I've never It's social media, man. Social media has made
it to the point where people can beef with random people.
Then people can beef with people that you know, maybe
they follow, maybe they respect, maybe they don't, maybe they're
in the same industry, And then it bleeds to on
air because as much as like social media platforms are
a platform, there's they're not as powerful as being on

(24:25):
air right like right now, or like having a show
having whether it's on TV, radio, whatever. So there's a
little more power in that, I think, in using that
platform in that way. So I think it's social media
is kind of a blame for it, though, because you're right,
like we don't. I don't remember seeing all these dust ups,
you know, usually be through like a reporter or something.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
I just don't know about it and I don't get
involved in it because it's not significant enough to me.
You say something about me, I could care less. Man,
say what you want to say. You ain't stopping what
I got going on. You ain't slowing me down, you
ain't paying.

Speaker 4 (24:58):
So if someone called you ha stall, that would not
get you here.

Speaker 1 (25:01):
I could care less. I don't care less. Y'all could
say whatever y'all want to say. It's all good. At
the end of the day, I'm gonna crack this microphone,
I'm gonna do my reads. I'm I'm gonna muck it
up with you guys, and then I'm done, like done.
I don't think it's all right. They're dead and gone.

(25:24):
They've been gone, and then he could do to bring
them back. Now, if he could bring them back, let's
talk about it. But you know, otherwise we're just talking.

Speaker 2 (25:32):
You know.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
Hell yeah, I don't know why people be beefing man Whitlock,
I know why shouldn't and Sharp be beefing because because
Skip used to beat him against the wall all the time.
I guess he's trying to get his get back from
all them.

Speaker 3 (25:47):
And then meanwhile, on the outskirts of it all, Antonio
Brown just sitting there like a sniper.

Speaker 1 (25:51):
TSPNI everybody.

Speaker 4 (25:59):
I do feel so bad. Man dead and gone.

Speaker 1 (26:02):
Yeah, my boy fish. This one goes out to my homies.
This all goes out to my friends. Well, well see
you win.

Speaker 3 (26:13):
We two pros and a cup of Joe.

Speaker 2 (26:14):
Here.

Speaker 3 (26:14):
Fox Sports Radio LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas knocks with you,
so come it up. Next, we are going to tell
you about a deal we've been waiting on. We've been
waiting for it to get done. Apparently it finally is.
That'll be yours here, I Love your toy.

Speaker 8 (26:28):
First Big game coveringe just presented by Old Tesla O promo.
Last this is football's biggest moment under the lights on
the screen, where we come together to celebrate the best
of the best.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
This is more than a game. Be there, two pros
and a cup of Joe. Fox Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington,
Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here. Comeing up in
about twelve minutes from now, we are going to do
our picks against the spread. Conference Championship weekend edition. That'll
be yours here on FSR. If you are hoping for
Bill Belichick to return to the NFL this weekend, those

(27:04):
hopes got dashed just a little bit. Apparently the deal
with North Carolina is finalized. But the most important thing is,
you know, if he opts out before June, first, it's
a ten million dollar buyout, and then after that it's
a million dollars. It'd be nice to see him back
in the NFL, But aren't you guys a little intrigued
to see whether or not he can actually do it

(27:26):
at North Carolina based on his track record.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
I have only one trying to put him back into
the I'm.

Speaker 3 (27:31):
Good with it for a year and then go back
to the NFL. I just want to see one year
of it. I want to live that world, live that
life for a year, and then I want him back
in the NFL to go chase down Dontula's record. That's it,
That's all I want.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
Wow, I think that he made a decision to go
to the college ranks. I think there's a reason why.
I don't think. I know there is a legitimate reason
why Bill Belichick chose to go coach in college and
to coach that program in particular, and he'd made the decision.

(28:07):
You know, if he gets a good run out of it,
let that man have a run at doing it at
the college level. I'm more intrigued. I know what he
can do at the pro level. I'm intrigued to see
if what he does can translate at his age, after
everything that he went through and how it ended in
New England, and if it takes place at the college level,

(28:29):
where the college landscape of football is changing so quickly.
It'll be interesting to see someone who can boast the
type of structure that Bill Belichick has been able to
create through the years that has led to the success
that they've been able to enjoy during his tenure in

(28:52):
New England. I'm interested to see if he can do
that at the college level.

Speaker 4 (28:57):
How would I would say? It'd be kind of easy
to say this if he was able to win a
national championship in college, like I would consider it was
the greatest ball coach all time is at the NFL level.
In my mind he is at the NFL level. Maybe
people feel like he he is anyway, but it's very rare.

(29:21):
I mean, what Pete, Pete Carroll, Jimmy Johnson, Switzer are
three and one like the way he's exactly exactly.

Speaker 1 (29:32):
So he's taking what he's done at the pro level.
If he did that at the at the college level,
and one one, just one. If he wins two like
you dropped the microphone, like he could. He could walk
around butt naked if he wanted to. He walked around
with taco drink drinking orange. He could. He could walk
a shame the rest of his life.

Speaker 3 (29:50):
Is it more difficult to do it in reverse? Those
guys went to college to the pros. Is it more difficult?

Speaker 1 (29:54):
I would either way. I don't know. I mean it's
going to be difficult either way. Yeah, difficult.

Speaker 4 (30:01):
I would generally say this quickly. There's two jobs open,
and now that the contracts signed, we know what the
buyout is. It's a drop in the hat for any
of these owners to pay, you know, take his buyout
and hire Bill Belichick. If you would have told me
a few years ago that Bill Belichick is going to
leave the Patriots and that he's not going to get

(30:23):
many opportunities in the NFL. I'd be shocked, Like I
still sit here and I said this a year ago,
and I stand by it. It's so negligent and it's
so insecure of all these people with these other organizations
to not bring in the guy who's had the most

(30:43):
successful career in the history of the NFL to at
least pick his brain, Like you get a free opportunity
to try to learn all you can from the greatest
that's ever done it at the NFL level. If I
was a team with an opening, I would make sure
that we talked to Bill Belichick and try to learn

(31:06):
all we could. And it may look he might keep
his cards close to his vest. It could only be
one or two things. But the fact that like you
don't hear a bunch of buzz about all these different interviews,
to me, it's it's one of the reasons why when
you look at these job openings and when we talk
two three years down the road and these jobs are
open again, it's because they're bad organizations and they allow

(31:28):
people who are either insecure to not want to even
at least bring the guy in let him talk to people,
let him interview and try to learn something, or they're
scared for their own job. And by the way, this
happens in corporate America all the time. You get people
who get to a certain level within organization or business
and they don't want to hire a guy who's dynamic
or greater underneath him, because eventually enough people are going

(31:49):
to look at that guy and go, why isn't this
guy or a manager like, well, why isn't this guy
or a boss like he's really really good, like he
could probably one day like run the company. But they're
they're insecure and they don't want to lose their job.
So it still shocks me to this day that that
is the case with Bill Belichick and that he's gonna
be in North Carolina and trying to run that program.

(32:11):
And I think we're all fascinated to see how it goes.
But I still stand by this that, like, you have
two job openings, and I don't knowho Todd Brady is
attached to one, but just the fact that Bill Belichick
is not being brought in at least to interview, it's crazy.

Speaker 3 (32:27):
Like even the guy who fired Belichick has admitted without
actually admitting it. Yeah, maybe that was what we wanted
because he's literally bringing on a coach that was under
Bill Belichick an offensive coordinator. Was like, it's Belichick and
what he did there for all those years. So the
fact that he's just sitting there in North Carolina and

(32:48):
he's going to go coach tu tar heels like I'm
fascinated to watch it. But yeah, I can't believe Jerry
Jones didn't kick the tires. I can't believe you know, Chicago, Jacksonville,
like if you're shot con like you could like you
couldn't do better. No shame against Liam Kohen, but you
like you couldn't convince Belichick to want to give it

(33:09):
an opportunity.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
I mean, what blows me away about the whole thing
is we talk about retrads, and for what it's worth,
you could throw Mike Rabel in there. You could throw
other coaches' names out there that have been in circulation
to take over a head coaching job that had been

(33:31):
head coaches before. If Bill Belichick isn't the first one
on your retrads list, then throw the list out, crumble
it up, throw it away because you can't legitimi legitimize
or justify getting a retracked coach. And I've been saying
that all along. I don't understand the whole retrad thing,

(33:52):
but if you're going to get a retrack coach, why
would you not get the best one? And to me,
I think it's an intimate dation factor. It just comes
down to it that people are intimidated by who Bill
Belichick is and what their lack of probably control or
lack of comfort as kind of what Qu's talking about

(34:16):
that you can't it doesn't seem like you can find
a comfort zone if you're not one of his guys.

Speaker 3 (34:23):
Yeah, and that's why in order to get comfortable during
uncomfortable conversations.

Speaker 1 (34:27):
Yeah, you got to use rapid rais. Yeah, you do
need to use rapid radios. And you know what, in

Speaker 8 (36:04):
Five picks five spreads Time for picks against the spread.

Speaker 3 (36:08):
All right to laugh?

Speaker 1 (36:09):
How we looking well? Guys?

Speaker 5 (36:11):
Last week was very interesting.

Speaker 6 (36:12):
We had, of course the divisional round where Jonas you
had taken the Chiefs minus eight and a half versus
the Texans. Of course they won twenty three to fourteen.
Good job by you, Jonas to beat LeVar. Of course,
Brady was a little busy last week, so we will
give him a I don't know what do we give
him a half point?

Speaker 1 (36:29):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (36:31):
Don't worry about it. How about this.

Speaker 6 (36:34):
Commanders at Lions, Both you guys, Jonas and LeVar took
the Lions or no, took the Commanders, excuse me? And
of course they won forty five to thirty one. Good
job by you two.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
Yeah, every time you do that, I feel like I
don't I need to write down my results. Every time
you do, we should have just did.

Speaker 3 (36:53):
Why don't trust him?

Speaker 5 (36:54):
It's on the Google doc.

Speaker 1 (36:56):
Damn all right, live live right there, Google doc. God?

Speaker 6 (37:00):
All right, Well this one was interesting. Rams at Eagles.
Eagles were minus six on DraftKings. Jonas took Philly and
LaVar you took money line Rams, you took nobody.

Speaker 5 (37:10):
Brady, even though it was I reminded you a few times,
but that's okay. You were busy, you had more important
things to do, Clo.

Speaker 4 (37:16):
I know Lee reached out like on Friday. The baby
was born Thursday. He's like, hey, you would have said
this sober anytime. I was like, well, thanks, Lee. Picks
against the spread are way more important than the birth
of the child.

Speaker 6 (37:29):
I know it's seen right now to you, but I
reminded you Saturday as well, but that one dead.

Speaker 4 (37:35):
That was when we were getting home from the hospital.
But I really appreciate you, and that's my prioritize ticks against.

Speaker 6 (37:40):
This, So I'm giving you a half a point here. Brady,
Philly did win that game. Obviously, twenty eight to twenty
two ended up in a push, So that's a push
for you, Jonas money Line Rams. That does not result
in a push for you, LeVar, that's a loss. Finally,
you guys took the Ravens versus the Bills.

Speaker 5 (37:57):
That's wrong. Bills won that one.

Speaker 6 (37:59):
And finally we had the National Championship game to make
it five. Even LeVar, you took that one. At the time,
it was minus eight and a half on DraftKings. They
of course won thirty four to twenty three. Lots of
storylines there, but good job LeVar. Guys, we only have
a minute to get through the conference championship. LeVar, you
did win last week two to three.

Speaker 4 (38:18):
Good job, sticks picks hell.

Speaker 2 (38:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (38:22):
To start off this weekend, Commanders at Eagles Eagles minus
six at home Philly.

Speaker 1 (38:27):
Wait.

Speaker 4 (38:28):
Jonas went two two and one last week? Right, Yes
he did? Would Jonas went that that is correct?

Speaker 6 (38:32):
You are right, but LaVar has a lead by two by.

Speaker 4 (38:37):
You came in, pay attention to the league. Can't even
do it right?

Speaker 6 (38:40):
Whatever it's all about this week Commanders at Eagles minus
six for the Eagles.

Speaker 1 (38:46):
Yeah, I'm taking the points here. I don't take Commanders
sticks picks.

Speaker 4 (38:53):
I'm gonna lay the points here with the Eagles because
I think this number is too big, doesn't make sense.
I'm on the other side, all.

Speaker 5 (39:01):
Right, over under for this game forty seven and a half.

Speaker 1 (39:05):
Under under under, Yeah, I'm gonna take the under.

Speaker 4 (39:09):
All Bill's Chiefs.

Speaker 5 (39:10):
Chiefs are point and a half favorite at home Buffalo.

Speaker 4 (39:15):
I'm gonna lay the point a half man.

Speaker 5 (39:19):
Buffalo money line over under forty eight and a half
in this.

Speaker 3 (39:23):
Over over, I'll take the over.

Speaker 1 (39:26):
I'm taking the under good job you guys takes against
how we do it here.
