Speaker 3 (00:39):
I bet you Q can pop it better than all
of it.
Speaker 4 (00:42):
Oh yeah, I don't even know what popping it is,
but I bet you could do it better than anybody
if you will. Burt Burton, Yeah you bad.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
Brady, Yeah, Brady you bad. We know how we're gonna
take that.
Speaker 4 (00:57):
But it's two pros and a couple Joe here on
Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 5 (01:02):
I'm not really sure how we're going to Brady Quinn,
you know.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
You'd be popping it, Yeah, popping in between breaks. I
don't dance. You're a two stepper one if you want
to be be honest.
Speaker 5 (01:14):
I'm actually a on spring break on vacation with the fam.
So we could be hearing that as they get up here. Momentarily, Uh,
I've been doing push ups in between the breaks with
my eldest daughter, so she's, uh, she's trying to.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
Wrap them out right now.
Speaker 5 (01:27):
And now she's asking if she can get a donut,
which is like parenting one on one, like your kid
does a little bit of physical activity, and now they
want a donut. And I'm like, I get it. We're
on vacation. You're supposed to be, you know, having the
time of your life. But I don't know that we're
gonna get a donut at seven am Eastern time.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
So well, y'all in in Florida, we are going to
divulge everything. But yeah, yourself, Yeah, okay, my bat, you
know what the hell y'all move for?
Speaker 4 (01:56):
If y'all go and just keep going back there, there,
can't think I go to Alaska in mind his own business.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
Have you guys ever been to Bermuda? I haven't been.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
Raccoons. I had some raccoons swimming playing in my pool
that got woke up to raccoons out back this time.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
Don't get me started. Don't get me don't.
Speaker 5 (02:20):
I mean, I've got a lot of respect, a lot
of respect for them. But those little dirty creatures, let
me tell you something. They will absolutely take a dump
in your pool on a daily basis and then walk
through the side to politely wash off their front paws
and hind you the.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Finger and get out. Yeah, they will give you a finger.
They know how to use them real well. You know
it's interesting. I almost grabbed my burner and and put
it on them. And then you're not.
Speaker 5 (02:48):
Killing it, you know, you're just maiming it to the
point where it's not that correct. But he's gonna come
back ticked off the next time.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
I don't think so.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
I think that that would have been a deterrent, Like dang,
they bust it up in Lee Roy's ass.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
Man, it's a deterrent.
Speaker 5 (03:03):
But then comes back with five friends and now they're
all dumping out right now.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
I got but I got enough rounds for all all
his friends. That's the problem for them.
Speaker 5 (03:11):
I think we might need a lethal option there.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
Well, I don't know that we need lethal because if
they if getting hitting the ass with that that pellet
doesn't work, then I'll just hit them with some tear gas.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
So I was just like a skunk with it.
Speaker 5 (03:24):
Let's just let's just let's just fully go down this
road for a second, because I also had an issue
before we left. All right, we had a deer that
got hit by a car that ended up near a property,
and I'm calling. I'm calling around because I'm like, all right,
there's there's a few options here. You can let nature
take its course, or you can call the township, the county,
(03:48):
the city, you know someone you'd think like wildlife, like
someone's gonna be able to.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
Help out with this issue.
Speaker 5 (03:55):
And I called the Sheriff's department and kind of asked, like,
can you point me the right direction? And he was no,
the lady just goes, she goes basically your sol you like,
the nature has to run its course on that. I said, well,
you know, like, I don't know that that's a great idea.
We've got young kids. I don't know that you want
a bunch of predators. We've we've seen a coyote out
(04:16):
on the property before, Like, I don't know if you
want all that. And she's like, yeah, I don't know.
I tell you to help out with that. So we
call wildlife. You know, they're not open. Over the course
of a weekend, call back Monday, Okay, we called the county,
we called the township, and basically I'm not going to
say who it was. I go, I get a hold
of one guy, and the guy goes, yeah, where's that
(04:39):
beer at? I said, well, it's it's in a ditch,
like near the entrance of the road, but.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
Not like like you know, on the road.
Speaker 5 (04:48):
He goes, yeah, pal, let me tell you something. He goes,
if that deer found some way of making its way
up there on that road, you catch what I'm saying there, Pal,
If that deer gets near that road, let me tell
you something, someone's gonna come right around and pick it up.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
He goes.
Speaker 5 (05:06):
Now, if that deer happens to just stay in that ditch,
he goes, I don't. I can't help you. That's a
that's a personal property issue. You're gonna have to have
to figure that thing out in your own And I go, so,
can you just repeat that one more time? I just
want to get this straight. I go, you want or
(05:27):
excuse me? I go, you mean, if this dead carcass
finds its way of moving, like if something just a
religious miracle happens and it just happens to move up
onto the road, you're telling me that then someone will
come away to pick it up. I don't have to
worry about this. He goes, yes, sir, that is correct.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
I was like, okay, I go, well.
Speaker 5 (05:50):
I appreciate your time. You've been the most helpful of
anyone that I've talked to you so far today, and
I'll just have to call back Monday and figure this
out more.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
I wish I knew you back then.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
Old you swing around, didn't matter what time, shwing around
home depot and you'd be good. My guy Jonas's in
laws would have came.
Speaker 5 (06:08):
And oh, by the way, by the way, hey, to
that point, bro to that point.
Speaker 3 (06:14):
The first lady I.
Speaker 5 (06:16):
Talked to with the Sheriff's office goes, because I said,
is there not like someone will grab it? She goes, well, sweetheart,
she goes, let me tell you. If you don't know
the exact time of when it got hit. She's like,
I can't really help you because she's like, there are
people who will come around and grab these things, but
typically in our case, if they're maimed and still alive,
(06:36):
will son someone who will put it out of its misery,
and then they'll pick it up to take the meat.
But they have to make sure it doesn't have a
disease on it. I was like, wait a second. I
was like, you're telling me, like, you guys have people
who would just come up like basically pick up roadkill
and then use it for meat. And she goes, yes, ma'am, yes, sir,
that is correct, And I go, all right, well, maybe
(06:58):
I just need to find the direct number of those
people because I'm sure. Because I was, I was like,
I know what's happening in the last hour. It was
not then when I first went went went home, and
then I came back, it was there, and the girls
was with my girls.
Speaker 3 (07:11):
They're like, go check on a dad.
Speaker 5 (07:13):
I was like, nah, I've a hunted enough to know. Like,
I'm gonna let it lay there for a while because
if it is still alive, there's a chance it'll get
up and find its way. If it's not, you know,
eventually we can go back and grab it and make sure.
But I go the problem is gonna be if if
we wait too Basically, if you don't find kind of
a sweet spot for it to kind of go in
there and make sure it's dead and then get rid
(07:34):
of it. Predators get after it's gonna get plucked out.
It's the testings will be out, and it's probably gonna
defecate everywhere.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
It's all that.
Speaker 4 (07:40):
Wait, So how are you gonna get it on the road?
Speaker 6 (07:43):
Uh?
Speaker 5 (07:44):
Well, I'm gonna call today once the office opens up,
and I think there's actually the health department too, is
supposed to like kind of help handle these issues. So
either that or I'm gonna call LeVar after the show
and see if he's got a couple guys.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
So I'm just telling you, brou I had at least
I had because I had a gate. I had one
of those type of gates when I lived in Maryland
where you know, you get impelled if you tried to
go over it, and I had a buck on there
one time I had. I've gotten babies caught in the
gate trying to run through it, all kinds of different stuff,
you see. I just go right to home depot, like
(08:21):
as soon as I see him, go whyle, your eyes go.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
Like that, Jonahs, what happened with your eyes? Jon I
go hey, I go to home depot.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
And be like, do you want that? I got buck,
you know. And then after the first few times they
like they see me coming they'd be like another one. Yeah,
they will be there, all right. They come straight through
that thing be gone and a couple of men, and
I mean not one time. It was a big ass
buck too. They came and got him. They unimpelled him
(08:49):
and took him.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
Out of there. Quit. There was one time the deer
was still a lie.
Speaker 6 (08:55):
You know, the secret menu at Hobbyers.
Speaker 3 (08:59):
Venison is not bad. It's not a bad deal.
Speaker 4 (09:01):
Hey, hanging on your fence.
Speaker 3 (09:03):
You don't know where I started out. You don't know
how it got there.
Speaker 4 (09:07):
Like like you said, they just got to make sure
that deal good to go free free range.
Speaker 5 (09:12):
That's not fencing. It's halfway over the fence.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
It's me optimistic about this. Yeah, there was range. There
was a.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
Baby there that was caught in the fence when we
were on our way home, and my kids were.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
Like, dad, Dad, save it, save it. There's like the
whole bunch of them are on the road hollering. He's hollering.
Everybody's hollering. Ah.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
Right, So I get out and I grabbed I grabbed
the two the two rails or whatever that the the
poles that the deers caught in, and I screamed real loud.
Speaker 3 (09:53):
My kids were like, Daddy Superman. The dere got out,
the deer goes right it out.
Speaker 4 (10:01):
There like it's saved, saved. It wasn't that hard, but
I made it seem like it was the hardest thing
to do in the world.
Speaker 3 (10:09):
That I won that day. Just know that Daddy won. Yeah,
speaking of deer.
Speaker 6 (10:14):
And then the deer ran off and aot.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
Just got knocked off. Two minutes later, there was one.
I tried to give it water. It got up out
of here in the middle of me trying to give it.
I was just trying to like keeping keep him, keep
him up, keep him alive. Here you got up out
of there.
Speaker 5 (10:32):
Yeah, depending on the other chilling come up and get you.
Speaker 6 (10:38):
I just I didn't know.
Speaker 1 (10:40):
Oh, I'll bust a cap in their ass though. See
that's the thing I was bearing arms on that property.
I'll destroy you now. I'll try to help you, but
if you give me some problems, I will I will
exercise my right to to go ahead and knock you down.
So yeah, better you let me help you rather than
me not help you in the other way.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (11:00):
If you know what I mean, I was just confused,
like when you said, uh, because you mentioned like Jonas's
and laws home deepot. I didn't know what that had
to do with the deer. Like, and they'll come get it. Yeah,
they'll come get it them.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
But we had it.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
We had an we had an animal control in Maryland,
you know, you animal control.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
They'll come get it.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
They'll come destroy it too, like if if the animal
can't be saved, they will destroy the animal and take
it to the woodship or leave it. Yeah, they throw
it in the woods, Yeah, they will. They'll drag it
to the woods. The one I had to get destroyed,
they had to drag that. They drug it. I had
forty forty some acres, so they just drug it to
where there was just woods.
Speaker 3 (11:42):
You know, So you know it is what it is.
Speaker 4 (11:45):
By the way, do you know how many people listening
right now are mortified?
Speaker 1 (11:50):
Hey man, it's our life work sometime them them raccoons.
It wasn't a bad story, wasn't a sad story.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
Looked like they just courting each other.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
Like the one was like in the water like screaming
like ahha. The other one was standing there like trying
to like mess with it. I thought it was drowning
at first. Then I realized once we was watching them
for for a couple of seconds. It's like, man, they
rap and they're on.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
A date right now, they're snouting. No, they were come
back good time.
Speaker 4 (12:19):
If there's anything there they liked, they'd come back because
my nephew had chickens, like he had a whole chicken coop,
and one raccoon came to sniff it out. And then
within three days those chickens were annihilated because like three
or four of them, and they came back for more
because they got a taste of the blood. And then
one was hanging out in the tree and then he
(12:40):
wasn't hanging out in the tree anymore.
Speaker 6 (12:42):
You know, it's crazy what happened.
Speaker 3 (12:43):
You know.
Speaker 4 (12:43):
That's why I might I might have to go ahead
and just deter them. Yeah, we'll see what happens next time.
If I see if I hear them hollering like that
and playing in my pool like that and I wasn't
invited to hang out with them, I might bust a cat.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
Lot of records.
Speaker 4 (13:01):
Thank you, Thank you, Jerry, Thank you Jerry Live from

All right, So congratulations to everybody who advanced in the
NCAA tournament. This weekend, we are going to pay off
(13:23):
this tease. Somebody in the NFL has found their guy.
I did want to mention this. So Amir Khan, who
was the star of the opening round. So he's on
his way to NC State with Will Wade. And this
guy made reportedly over six figures in nil money. Whether
(13:47):
it was a tax company, a Buffalo wing company, there
were some other sponsors that were out there. So all
he had to do was hold a boom box with
a strap, walk out before for the.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
Game, shoulder strap. And he's making careful you know.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
You know, straps is a different that's just different terminology
for straps, you know what I mean? Yeah, that shoulder strap.
Speaker 3 (14:11):
You know.
Speaker 4 (14:11):
And he's getting paid.
Speaker 3 (14:13):
How about that? I mean, good him.
Speaker 5 (14:16):
Look, I don't have a problem with it. I would
just ask all those people who are spending all the
nil money on this young man, like.
Speaker 3 (14:26):
Why not the players?
Speaker 5 (14:27):
I mean, no disrespect to the kid. But if the
basketball team isn't good enough, he's not highlighted. Like if
they're a crappy basketball team and he's leading him out
with a boom box, no one cares. So it's like,
can we not like, are the players getting some of
this too? I mean, some of those players are also
going to follow their coach tenn C State And it
(14:48):
stinks for McNeese, but that's just the reality of where
college sports are at. And I just kind of go
back to him, not not against the young man earning it.
I'd hope he's sharing it with the players because again,
like and it isn't taking away from what a manager does.
He works his tail off, I'm sure, But have we
(15:09):
gotten to the point now where we've kind of missed
the substance of what makes March madness. What makes his
story great is that he's a manager who walks out
with a boombox and wraps maybe does or does not
say the word I don't know.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
You could be the judge of that.
Speaker 5 (15:27):
You can read his lips, but he's the one.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
Getting the deals.
Speaker 5 (15:32):
It's it's like the manager of the bull, Like if
Michael Jordan, all right, if Michael Jordan was during this era, Like,
would would Michael be like MJ would he be able
to create his own shoe? Or are we given the
manager of UNC when he was there or the manager
of the Chicago Bulls when he was there the nil deal? Like, like,
(15:52):
what's happening here? Is this like the most ass backwards
thing we've ever seen?
Speaker 4 (15:57):
I mean, if there's so much extra money to throw
around that you given that guy money, Like, yeah, it
does seem like there would be a little left for
some other people.
Speaker 5 (16:05):
And by the way, if you're McNeice and you're like
any people who are part of it who are giving
him money, maybe you give it to players. Maybe they
don't leave to go to n C State, Like maybe
that actually could could have happened. He keep some of
those players there with you instead of them leaving to
go to n C State supposedly to get more money.
I just look, it's one of the cool stories of
March madness. I actually like picked up on this earlier
(16:27):
this year. But we're going way over the top with
the whole aura thing and all that. Yeah, their aura
lasted for what around they got in the second round.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
And that was it. I we'll just call it what
it is.
Speaker 6 (16:41):
They got on fire, yes exactly, And let's be honest.
Speaker 5 (16:46):
They they played a team in Clemson that played its
worst half of basketball all year, maybe the worst half
of basketball, and Clemson fans, could you know, chime in
on this, maybe the worst half of basketball he's seen
in the last decade. That was how atrocious the first
half was versus McNeese, and they turned around and scored
(17:09):
what fifty four points in the second half, which is
like a break neck pace I mean covered by the
way based on the liveline that I saw at half,
But damn near came back to tide up taking an
over overtime. So I know we're making a bunch of this,
but like, come on, man, can we help out the players?
Can we help out those guys, the guys that actually
(17:29):
got McNeice there in the first place. And look, maybe
I'm wrong, Maybe someone's gonna come home and say, no, man,
he's sharing it with them, or is I haven't seen
any of that, Like, I haven't seen him come out
and say that. I haven't seen anything that states that
any of these McNeese players are getting six figure type
nil deals. And they're the reason he's in They're the
reason he's there in the first place. Without them, he's
(17:51):
walking out with a boombox solo or without them having success.
No one cares. If you don't win, no one cares,
and you walk out with the boom box rapping to
pick your rapper, pick your hip hop, so whatever, no
one cares if you're a crappy basketball team. I'm sure
there's plenty of teams that have some similar walk out
(18:12):
something else going on that weren't very good this year,
and their guy, their manager's not getting paid anil deals.
Speaker 4 (18:18):
I mean especially you know if they may or may
not have said the word. You know, there's that too.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
I'm just glad he got the money. You know, I'm
glad he got it in n I L I think
that these guys when they do services, they're they're tremendously undervalued.
And you know what, it's It's about time guys like
Jonas Knox get recognized and sayed it for the things that.
Speaker 3 (18:42):
They bring to the table.
Speaker 4 (18:44):
I just want to tell these these athletes just are
so they get so far ahead of themselves that they
just think that all the money needs to go to them,
and you know what, what about the people that next
next thing.
Speaker 1 (18:56):
You know.
Speaker 4 (18:56):
Now, now we're going to get the training room involved.
You know, we're going to get the student trainers. We're
going to get them paid.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
Like we're going to get a n I L deal
of them taping the ankles and stretching them out and
you know, rolling out the IT bands. You know, we're
gonna turn those into NIL deals of content.
Speaker 3 (19:16):
I like this, I like where this is going. That's
that's what I'll say.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
Damn shame on these athletes for thinking that all the
ni L money is supposed to be for them. You know,
because name, image and likeness doesn't say athlete, name, image
and likeness. It says your name, image and your likeness.
So if you're building that that that value brand, if
you're building that brand, you have brought it for you.
You got to build the brand.
Speaker 5 (19:40):
So when they go to NC State and he's walking
out with a boom box and they stink like this year, well.
Speaker 1 (19:47):
He's got to just keep he's just got to keep
you know, his oria crap. Then he's just got to
keep evolving because whether it takes a national you know,
footprint with what he's doing because of the success or
lack thereof, of the team he still can grow that
brand locally and still be monetizable in the local market.
(20:09):
So you just keep your head down and you keep
pushing forward, and you keep building your brand, young sir,
And you know what, I'm happy for you six figures.
You go push for seven now, you know, and maybe
these guys will learn from you and they'll start doing
the same thing.
Speaker 3 (20:24):
I heard.
Speaker 4 (20:25):
He could have gotten more, but he was listening to
up on game on that boom box.
Speaker 3 (20:29):
Oh yeah, oh damn.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
He must have heard them say that Jonas Knox was
up next and they tuned out. It must have been
that part where I said, yeah, I know, Jonas.
Speaker 6 (20:41):
Is up next.
Speaker 4 (20:43):

have a Monday tradition. It's the FSR i R that
will be yours here on Fox Sports Radio. We also
have some good news if you are a fan of
(21:38):
the New York Giants, LaVar Arrington's former team. They have
found a quarterback, James said, Jameis Winston step bright up
a quarterback?
Speaker 3 (21:51):
Who is talking about that there on the street segment?
Damn found you some venison. Man.
Speaker 1 (22:02):
I'm not saying he's road killed, but comelever, like you
found a quarterback, you didn't find the quarterback.
Speaker 3 (22:09):
Is that? Is that what we're saying? Are we settling
in on that?
Speaker 4 (22:11):
Well? I think it means they're going to draft Shador Sanders,
Now I think that's one hundred percent what it means.
Speaker 5 (22:16):
Well, you think, yeah, we have don't we have contrary
reports to that.
Speaker 4 (22:20):
Well, there is some speculation that they're not closing the
door completely on Rogers. They're not closing the door completely
on maybe a Russell Wilson.
Speaker 3 (22:32):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (22:32):
There was some thought that they would add another quarterback
there potentially that Jamis Winston is the money he's making
is backup money, not quarterback one money was one of
the reports. So you know, I mean, doesn't appear like
he's going to be the guy long term. But I
don't know that that means that Russell Wilson's going to
(22:54):
be uh showing up there. Although him, Russell Wilson.
Speaker 3 (22:57):
Do you guys think he's the guy short term? Is
he bridge James? Is he a bridge quarterback?
Speaker 5 (23:03):
I think he's capable, without a doubt, like he's capable
of starting and playing on a team in this league.
I don't know that that's their plan, though. I think
they're going to attack this situation. Here's the reality. They
can't make a decision on Russell Wilson until they have
seen what Rodgers wants to do, right Like, it would
(23:24):
be it would be a bad move if they thought,
or they're being told they're in the running potentially to
sign Rogers and then make a decision to move on
before he's made a decision, right that would just look bad,
and especially if he goes to Pittsburgh plays really really well,
that's like, dude, what are you guys thinking? So that
probably has to happen first, and then I think you're
(23:45):
going to get a decision most likely on Russell Wilson
after that, and that's all going to happen before the draft.
So I'm not so sure that the signing of Jameis
Winston changes anything for the Giants as it currently stands,
just because there's so much time. I'm still until we
get to the NFL Draft, where the whole Shador Sanders
scenario would play itself out.
Speaker 1 (24:06):
Yeah, they're using the draft, I don't I don't see
them using free agency if they haven't made a more
major splash in terms of who they're signing by now,
and they're signing Jameis Winston. I think that that kind of,
to me, gives the indicator that they're going to look
to the draft and maybe, just maybe they're looking at
(24:29):
Jameis Winston to be that bridge quarterback by them, you know,
half a season, a season for the new guy and
see where where things end up. I think it gives
day Ball, it gives the GM in my estimation maybe
a little bit more runway where this is a definite
(24:50):
hot seat year for for that that regime, and to
bring in a guy like Jameis Winston if you're going
to place your your job security on if he is
a successful quarterback to bridge you from where you are
now to when the draft pick is ready to go,
(25:11):
I think it's a I think it's a risky deal, honestly,
because I'm not sure what you're going to get.
Speaker 3 (25:17):
Now we'll say no, I don't, I don't. I don't
think it's I think it's.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
A super risky deal because the Washington commanders are going
to improve this year. By all things given, it looks
as though they're going in the right direction. Philadelphia will
see how good they can be. Can they continue to
be as good and as dominant as they have been?
They have lost a few players, but it doesn't seem
(25:44):
like they're slowing down. And can Dallas have a bounce
back year. I think there are a lot of elements
at play that could play against the New York Giants
in terms of having success and making a decision at
the quarterbacks position at this point is a very critical
and crucial deal. So if you're saying, Okay, Jameis Winston
(26:05):
is going to give us time to develop the rookie
that we draft. So you got to give us a
little bit more time than what you may have been thinking.
Don't fire us during the season, don't get rid of
us immediately after the season. Give us the opportunity to
try to develop this quarterback so you don't end up
running into the same scenario as Daniel Jones.
Speaker 5 (26:27):
Here's here's the problem with that is it doesn't work.
It hasn't worked. There are so many teams that have
set up a coach like that, the exact verbiage that
have gotten fired.
Speaker 3 (26:38):
In that rookie season of that quarterback.
Speaker 5 (26:40):
I mean, John Fox is the first that comes to
mind when they drafted Mitchell Trubisky. There's a handful of
others too, you can kind of throw into that category.
It just it doesn't save the coach, It doesn't save
the general manager, because ultimately the owners who make that decision,
they're going to be listening to every anything else that's
(27:00):
going on out there in the media, social media, the
fan reaction, and that's that's just the reality of what
we've seen.
Speaker 3 (27:07):
At least in recent years.
Speaker 5 (27:08):
So they can, they can go that route, but it's
one of the reasons why I'm not buying into Jamis
Winston being the solution to this. And they're gonna draft
Shador and they're gonna be fine. Like, I just don't
think that's a reality right now.
Speaker 4 (27:20):
Can I present some odds for you courtesy of our
friends at DraftKings, So they have this you can go
team by team and try and bet on what position
will be the first player drafted for each team. So,
for example, you know, if we believe that cam Ward's
going to be the guy that gets drafted for the Titans,
obviously overwhelming odds are their first pick is going to
(27:42):
be a quarterback. What would you say the odds are
if you had the guest Brady the first position, the
position of the first player drafted by the Giants is
going to be.
Speaker 5 (27:55):
On the position wide receiver, couderback, Travis Hunter, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (28:02):
Quarterback is minus six hundred, okay, cornerback plus three fifty,
and then defensive line edge plus seven to fifty and
then it just drops down from there.
Speaker 5 (28:13):
So if they sign Aaron Rodgers, do you think that changes.
Speaker 3 (28:17):
They're not signing Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 6 (28:19):
Why not?
Speaker 5 (28:20):
Okay, I'll put it this way. If they signed Russell Wilson,
does that change yes, because.
Speaker 1 (28:32):
I mean I know it changes, and I know the
answers changes. But is it feasible to think that they're
going to do exactly kind of what Pittsburgh did last year?
It's like, bring in Russ would it?
Speaker 4 (28:47):
What? Another one of them? Lenis? Let me bring in
two of them Johnson? Yeah, but one of them's gotta work.
Well yeah, And the.
Speaker 5 (28:54):
Reality is is it good enough to make the playoffs?
Because if it's good to make the playoffs, that that's
the standard where I think everyone comes back and they
build on that.
Speaker 3 (29:04):
Right if you if you don't, like, let's say.
Speaker 5 (29:06):
You go nine and eight, don't make the playoffs, Let's say,
you know, if you have a losing season, they're probably
not back.
Speaker 4 (29:13):
So I can't believe I ain't pick up on what
I just did, y'all. I gave y'all easily. I saw
your phage, Jojas. I know, I know you wanted to
slam dunk it. It was ali oop, it was it was
super easy. Yeah, people, new people.
Speaker 1 (29:26):
You know, Pittsburgh did it last year. You know what
I mean I'll double down on it. Look, I give
it to you anyway.
Speaker 3 (29:31):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (29:32):
If that was because it was on the cheap, like it's.
Speaker 1 (29:35):
Going to be on the cheap for this too. It's
not going to be. That's going to be last year.
We already know what Justin Fields is making. He's making more.
Speaker 5 (29:43):
I think Russell Wilson's going to make more than at
least what the Steelers were paying him, not more than
a good situation.
Speaker 3 (29:48):
It's a good situation for New York. They can get it.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
They're not going to have to pay top dollar for
either one of them like that. That's if that's what
they were going to do and thinking about bringing saying,
but my whole thing is, if you're cast you.
Speaker 4 (30:02):
What twenty five to thirty million dollars a year minimum,
If you're.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
Not going Rogers, if you're not going to make a
serious financial commitment to bringing a guy in to be
your starting quarterback, you should not bring him in unless
you're planning on him being a backup, having a backup
role with the opportunity to possibly start that. I don't
think you bring in a guy to start. I did
not really think that it was a good idea of
(30:28):
the way Pittsburgh approached what they were doing with those
two guys last year.
Speaker 3 (30:32):
Make a guy like give them the financial commitment.
Speaker 1 (30:35):
And I think I believe I said this last year,
get one of those guys the financial commitment that says
that you want this one to be your quarterback and
the other guys you're back up, and go from there.
You know, it's like you're having an open competition. But
I don't think that in that scenario. I don't think
that it was the best play to have an open competition. Well,
(30:57):
I don't think it would be a great play for
New York either, right, what's that?
Speaker 5 (31:01):
And it never really worked out that way either though,
because Wilson got hurt game fields deal.
Speaker 3 (31:06):
In fact, they moved on into it.
Speaker 5 (31:08):
I think to your point though, with the contract they
signed Winston to at what it's eight million over two years,
that's that's a backup contract. Like there, I wouldn't even
say that's a bridge quarterback. I mean, look, maybe maybe
they they signed Russell Wilson, maybe they draft the quarterback too,
and they say like we're going to exhaust all efforts
to find who that is and may the best man win,
(31:30):
Like maybe that's how they go about doing it, But
I would just say this, from every indication I've gotten,
I think they're going to attack it from a veterans standpoint,
and I think in a year like the Jamis Winston
signed to me signals more in a crucial year where
I don't think they can go through the growing pains
of a rookie quarterback. And that's not staying that like
(31:53):
cam Ward or Shador Sanders or Jackson Dart couldn't have
a phenomenal rookie year. I don't know that they're gonna
do what Jade Daniels did or CJ. Stroud his rookie year.
But I'm just saying I think they're going to attack
this from a veteran perspective and see if they just
can't find a way of being able to win enough
games to show the progress that the general manager and
(32:14):
the head coach have made and also just within the division,
you know, be able more competitive within that division instead
of you know, subjecting a rookie to have to go
up against the defending Super Bowl chance twice and another
playoff team in Washington twice and try to, you know,
figure out like how this roster can try to improve upon,
when in reality, it's probably the roster that's the least
(32:37):
talented of any in the NFC East. And that's not
like a shot at the Giants because they've got a
great defense. Milik Naghbors was fundamental last year. Like I
like a lot of the pieces on their defense. It's
just that's where they're at in comparison to everyone else
in the division.
Speaker 6 (32:50):
Jamis and New York's gonna be fun.
Speaker 3 (32:52):
Though.
Speaker 6 (32:53):
It's gonna be fun.
Speaker 5 (32:54):
It's gonna be huge for his media career.
Speaker 6 (32:56):
Yeap is it?
Speaker 4 (32:58):
Hell?
Speaker 3 (32:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (33:00):
How will not?
Speaker 5 (33:01):
He'll be able to, like on his off day, go
in and do whatever he wants.
Speaker 3 (33:04):
Let's wait and see. It's like a mere con man.
Speaker 1 (33:08):
You gotta him. You gotta be relevant in the scenario. No,
I'm not saying it's bad. It just might not.
Speaker 3 (33:14):
Be as good as people expect or or anticipate. You
just never know.
Speaker 1 (33:19):
Well they have I don't think they have not bad
very they have not been very relevant.
Speaker 3 (33:23):
I mean, I just I know that's the reality of it.
I get that.
Speaker 5 (33:26):
But I'm just saying he's gonna be present, He'll be there,
He'll be able to do a lot of the things
to build his Yeah, I understand that. Yeah, I'm just
try to sweat Jamis Winston's aora.
Speaker 3 (33:42):
Now.
Speaker 1 (33:42):
Well, he had a hell of a super Bowl, that's
for certain. So people are That's what I'm talking about.
You do that on his off day.
Speaker 3 (33:48):
You know, don't. I'm just giving y' all hard time.
Speaker 1 (33:51):
But they aren't very relevant, you know, So it's gonna
have to be Jamis standing on Jami's business ten toes down,
not on New York Giants business. Like I'm able to
leverage the New York Giants. You better get it on
his own. You better get it while of getting his
good too. He been on that scrap heap of free
agents for a quarterback's position. After you know, a few
(34:13):
training a few mini camps, few few OTAs, you better
get right on on the field on your on days
versus worrying about your off days. That's just be advice
from me, though, you know that's just me talking though,
you know what I mean? Hey, Jamis, make sure you're
still slinging that ball man. That sounds personal. I don't
even know them.
Speaker 5 (34:33):
Feel No, I'm not not to Jamis. I'm saying from
personal experience. Are you trying to say the giants wrong deal.
Speaker 1 (34:39):
No, no, no, no, no. You know what's crazy though,
I did do dream Job. I was on dream Job,
one of the first reality TV shows on ESPN, And
because Joe Gibbs is a hater and and they were
hating on me, they forced me to miss the season
finale of dream Job.
Speaker 3 (34:59):
Zachar Ry I should have won. Now.
Speaker 1 (35:01):
I love Mike call to death. I think Mike Hall
is a dope talent. He's made away for himself a
big to a network, super dope dude. But I thought
Zach was was what what you know, where television was going.
He was my choice, but I was not there to
give him my vote.
Speaker 3 (35:20):
And who knows. I might have swayed a vote or two.
Speaker 1 (35:22):
You know, I might have talked to Al Jaffey and
it might have went a different way, or Kit Hoover
might have went a little different.
Speaker 3 (35:28):
But nonetheless, you did.
Speaker 5 (35:31):
I think you persuaded Kit, that's what did I Yeah,
she might have voted for him.
Speaker 3 (35:36):
I don't I don't really recall it, but I just
know he lost. I know Zach Ryan lost.
Speaker 5 (35:41):
You're a very persuasive individual, all right, what are you
trying to say? Bro, I'm not trying to say. I'm
saying I'm sending ten toes down on what I just said. Okay,
I think that's how that works, all right.

Speaker 7 (37:44):
I came through the weekend pretty clean.
Speaker 3 (37:48):
Big bits out there here, I don't know.
Speaker 7 (37:50):
I tried to get back into the into the gym
because I haven't been back really since I took that
tumble in New Orleans because my shoulder and wrist had
been messed up.
Speaker 4 (37:58):
You never, you never said that that was ware You
still having lingering issues from that.
Speaker 1 (38:04):
Well, your shoulder was hurting. The shoulder said anything about
anything else?
Speaker 7 (38:08):
Oh, the risk was the wrist was actually the worst part.
The wrists and the shoulder were worse than the face.
Speaker 4 (38:13):
But it's finally stopped. It finally stopped hurting.
Speaker 7 (38:16):
So I went to the gym and I was doing okay.
It was the day after I woke up and it's
like shooting pain in my wrist.
Speaker 6 (38:24):
So I don't know.
Speaker 3 (38:27):
I'll go back right now.
Speaker 7 (38:28):
It feels okay now, so I'll go back today and
see how it goes.
Speaker 4 (38:30):
But by the way, upon for the review, the fact
that that's a real story, it's preposterous.
Speaker 6 (38:39):
Like that old thing.
Speaker 4 (38:40):
Yeah, that tumble I took in New Orleans on which
one the one where I face planted and I didn't
even know that your shoulder and your wrist were him?
Speaker 1 (38:47):
Did you, like I forget Did you see him go
down or you just saw after man?
Speaker 4 (38:52):
Oh he got mccar and he had his shirt off
covering his face.
Speaker 3 (38:55):
And blood blood.
Speaker 5 (38:57):
For the record, every time Lee goes down, he's with Jonas.
So I just want to throw that out there, Taly.
Speaker 7 (39:03):
Well, hold on the one time I went down and
we were we were playing a.
Speaker 3 (39:06):
Media playing cash.
Speaker 4 (39:08):
We were throwing the pigskin, and I went down.
Speaker 5 (39:09):
With you that going down that that wasn't the same
going down.
Speaker 6 (39:13):
That's true.
Speaker 1 (39:14):
I hate that I missed that. I hate that I
missed both of them. But I knew I didn't need
to go on Bourbon Street with you guys. That was
not going to happen. Nope, I would not. So yeah, smart,
move Well. I hope you feel better, you know, it
sounds as though you might feel better.
Speaker 6 (39:31):
Yeah, getting back into the chick out.
Speaker 8 (39:33):
I gotta get gotta get in shape, gotta do you
have a couple of lid liquors this weekend though? Oh yeah,
of course, come on, just watching the games, you had
a good, good old time. Oh I saw beat Box
yesterday for twenty dollars. That was insane.
Speaker 3 (39:46):
No good, that's a good price. No, oh, too expensive.
