Why does he always give you my read? So?
Speaker 5 (01:11):
What like?
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Why is my read on your pal? What do you mean?
Speaker 3 (01:15):
You know?
Speaker 2 (01:15):
He just wants you to do everything? It's not true,
but buddies, geez, what is that? Is that outdated? Do
I have to dump that? I don't know.
Speaker 4 (01:26):
I think so everything's questionable at this point.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
Whatever.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
People just look for reasons to get upset.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
So is what.
Speaker 6 (01:36):
I don't see it? Yeah, well listen now reset to topic.
Speaker 5 (01:39):
Man.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
We've got the discussion that we opened up the show with,
which was Aaron Rodgers talking on the Pat McAfee show
starring AJ Hawk.
Speaker 6 (01:47):
Which I love how it leads the headline, right, that
is the headline. Yeah, Aaron Rodgers speaks on the Robert
solid situation.
Speaker 4 (01:57):
Yeah, and I guess it is Tyler Komin.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
What else will the headline be?
Speaker 6 (02:03):
Well, because it's connected to figuring out is he or
is he not to blame? Is it to be or
not to be? That it was Aaron Rodgers. Aren't they
all to blame because they all sucked so far this year?
I mean, aren't there some other players that you want
Sauce Gardner maybe you know, Quinn.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
I'm gonna go back only because I mean it feels
like remember there was like the time with Tom Brady
and Bruce Arians.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
Mm hmm, I remember that there was kind of that
like riff or whatever.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
There was the whole reporting and conversation about how those
two felt.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
As Bruce Arians transitioned out from coaching. Yeah, okay, Merwin.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
Peyton Manning first got the Denver? Who is his head coach?
Was it Fox?
Speaker 2 (02:51):
John Fox?
Speaker 6 (02:51):
And?
Speaker 2 (02:51):
Who do you win the Super Bowl? With Kubiak? Right?
Did we cover both the exact same? Did did he?
Speaker 6 (03:00):
Ever?
Speaker 1 (03:00):
At any point they didn't't blame either of those two quarterbacks.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
No, now, not that I recall, if.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
We're being honest with ourselves, could they have both had
a hand or could they have both been involved in
however that transition took place. Okay, but let me ask you,
let me I think we treat you this real quick.
I just did we treat Aaron different? Because in both
cases he is the most open. You know, he does
a weekly Peyton didn't do a weekly interview. Tom Brady
(03:31):
did barely did anything when he was playing.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
Absolutely, we treat him different we do.
Speaker 6 (03:37):
Let me ask you this though, how many losses did
they have in their inaugural years. Peyton didn't do well
at first and maybe right.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
Well, first look actually hit the ground running. I mean
they were, Yeah, they just it was more of the
playoff issue. They felt like, remember when they got to
the Super Bowl Verse Seattle got blown out. Those first
three years, he was outstanding, It's like one of the best.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
But then he won went in back when his arm
was falling apart or his I think you had like
a quad injury. Isn't that what kept him out or something.
I thought it was his shoulder or neck or something.
He couldn't throw the ball the right way.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
It looked like that was his neck when he first
got there, But he had an issue. I believe it
was like a quad injury or a leg injury.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
And then that was.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
When remember there's the video. I think he was flicking
off the camera when he was throwing the indoor or
something like that. Yeah, because he was he was trying
to prove to them while Oswaller, isn't that he was
ready to go and ready to come back.
Speaker 4 (04:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
I don't know, man.
Speaker 6 (04:35):
I think the success of those two that we mentioned
is probably the reason why, Like, I think people received
them differently than what they do Aaron Rodgers, like historically,
even before the Jets right, Like, it's like the things
(04:56):
that play out with Aaron Rodgers had forced people to
choose a side. I almost feel like what Peyton Manning.
Everybody loved Peyton Manning. I don't see anybody not liking
Peyton Manning. And then as far as Tom Brady, I
don't know that you if you chose a side, you
chose New England and Bill Belichick versus Tom Brady, which
(05:17):
I don't even know that that is like a suffice beef,
that's not a real beef. I think you still loved
Tom Brady. They're like lovable characters. Aaron Rodgers is. He
is the villain in the movie.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
Anybody who says that this doesn't go back to the
COVID in United stuff, it does.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
Because that's the most divisive thing. That's the most divisive
thing he's done. And I think people felt like, here's
the thing about athletes is you know, you get out there,
you root for him, You feel like there's an element
of trust because you're putting your faith in their hands
for your team or your fantasy team or whatever the
(05:59):
case is.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
And there's an.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
Element of like truth to the things they say, paired
up with what you see them do.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
Right.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
They talk about it, but they're they're they're working hard,
they're doing all of that. You see it, you see
the product on the field. You know, I can be
a you know, a bottle maker, and I can tell
you how great and how healthy, and I'll save and
all this stuff our bottles are. But what goes on
when we actually manufacture, when you actually produce it, you
don't get to see. I can be doing all kinds
of illegal, shady stuff, right. And I guess what I'm
(06:30):
saying is the difference is with professional athletes in particular,
like a quarterback, the people you can trust in fact
are the people who the team and trusts, the organization,
the owners, the fan like they're intrusting to be in
that position. And so that specific moment where he was
asked a question and how he answered it in a
(06:52):
in a time where things were pretty divisive in this country,
I think, to Jonas's point, it played a role in
how he's been viewed since because in some people's mind,
he broke that trust.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
And I don't know that.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
You in some people's mind, you can repair that, right
like you can forgive, you don't forget. And I think
there's elements of that. But but again I'll go back
to you know, with Tom Brady, Payton Manning, there was
never a time they were missing Minichamp to go on
a trip somewhere, right, Like they just chose to approach
(07:28):
the game in a very very different way. I mean
Tom's you know, his teaser to what games he's calling
is like how he's not done with football. I don't
know if you've guys seen the commercial with Fox where
it's got the Michigan player, Yeah, and like it's all
about how he's not done with football, and it's all
about football. You know, Peyton got done and he's you know,
(07:48):
people have talked about him be in the front office
or owner or now he's gotten this this production company
where he's he's in his own way calling a game
every Monday night.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
He's a part of it.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
Then he's talking about the history of the NFL football
and the different stories behind and players and people. And
then they haven't had the college one with Eli. It's
it's all about football, that's the thing. That's the difference
with Aaron is it hasn't always been about football.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
He's been one of the greatest ever to do it.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
You know, he's got four MVPs, that's more than anyone
else outside of Peyton Manning.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
Yet it hasn't been the way in.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
Which he's kind of approached it and talked about the
game everything else.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
It's brought in a lot of other stuff.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
I mean, go back and look at the tag for
the interview for him on the Pat mgabee show.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
It's Super Bowl cham four time NFL MVP.
Speaker 1 (08:33):
It says Ayahuasca enthusiast or whatever.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
It's like that stuff's out there.
Speaker 1 (08:38):
Like if Tom bradyer Paid Manning was into that, we
wouldn't know because they wouldn't share that portion of it.
They've only shared the portion of their lives that have
basically been football. When meanwhile, like both dudes are absolute
killers behind the scenes in business. I mean people don't
even know, Like you know, I'm telling LaVar like he's
staying in a graduate hotel.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
Who do you think got in on that? Yeah, they
sold it off to Hilton like they make it bank.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
Like the way he structured everything with Omaha Productions, like
that dude is an absolute killer behind the scenes. But
you don't know that because all we know is we
see him walk out out of Morgan Wallen concert in
his old Tennessee uniform man.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
Because that's how people identify him.
Speaker 1 (09:18):
Rogers has just created this persona that's more than just football.
I think because of that, there's some divisiveness there with
how people view him because.
Speaker 6 (09:29):
He's been divisive, I mean, but I think he embraces it.
I don't think this is necessarily a wrong. It's not
wrong for Aaron Rodgers to be the way that he is.
It's just different. It's different. Yeah, absolutely, it's different, and
he doubles down on it like he doesn't. He does
not shy away from how he approaches things. It's very consistent,
(09:52):
it's very very structured.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
So I don't I can.
Speaker 3 (09:55):
Almost guarantee you when he's done playing, you will not
see him call games or do a.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
Manning cast type show.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
But he could if he wanted to.
Speaker 3 (10:03):
Good But I just don't think he's into it. I
think he's into other things. I think he wants to go,
you know, experience and investigate other things.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
Not But there's the other.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
Side of he's got a weekly right, so there's already
in it. Spotlight is already in it. There's an element
of he's got a spotlight where he does like.
Speaker 2 (10:22):
Kind of being in it.
Speaker 6 (10:24):
He one hundred percent loves being in it. That's I
could see him doing. And to that point, maybe it's
not within the industry of football. I could see Aaron
Rodgers coming out years later and be like, I ain't
even like football. I just played it because I was
good at it and it worked. It worked out for me.
(10:45):
I could I got one hundred percent him not wanting
to have anything to do with football, but being in
entertainment because the dude is entertaining.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
That's what he is.
Speaker 6 (10:56):
He has He has figured out a way, which, by
the way, is always the best way to go.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
If you want to blow up, be the hill.
Speaker 6 (11:05):
Like, be that guy, be the guy that people do
not like, and if you have enough thick skin to
handle it, people are gonna pay attention to you.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
It didn't matter how.
Speaker 6 (11:17):
Good Floyd Mayweather was when he was pretty boy Floyd,
nobody cared, didn't give a damn. When he turned to
the money of Mayweather and changed his persona, everybody, everybody
paid attention and you know what, it's the same recipe.
Everybody tuned in, everybody paid pay per view to see
Floyd Mayweather. Why because he flaunted what he was, he
(11:39):
said what he was going to do, and then he
went out and he did it. And everybody, whether they're
being honest or not, wanted to see. Was this the
fight where he was gonna lose? You wanted to see?
Was this the fight where all that trash talk and
how he comes at me where it comes up short?
Speaker 2 (11:54):
Is this the one? Isn't that what Jake Paul basically fights?
Speaker 6 (11:57):
And that's what Jake Paul has done. And I think
to a certain degree without all the way going in
and and and and being like kind of as abrasive
about flaunting things, I think Aaron Rodgers does the same thing.
I think on a higher level in terms of I'm
going after the front office or I'm taking on COVID
(12:18):
or I'm not coming to mini camp, whatever it may be,
I'm gonna push the coach up off of me, get
your ass up off of me, and I'm a side e.
I'm gonna tell I'm gonna tell the media that, you
know what, maybe the coach needs to hold these players accountable.
It's a different approach, but yet and still it's still
a villain's approach. And that's why people pay attention. And
(12:39):
that's why people feel as though that they want to
see Aaron Rodgers in some cases, in a lot of
cases fail they want to see him. When is Aaron
Rodgers gonna come up short? Because if he doesn't come
up short, then you're gonna continue.
Speaker 7 (12:54):
To grow more and more, uh more and.
Speaker 6 (12:57):
More interest than watching because of the things he says
and things that he does. I think it's pretty brilliant
if you ask me.
Speaker 3 (13:03):
Tyler Conklin, the tight end for the Jets, said that
Rogers probably took the solid firing harder than anybody.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
I'm sure, Oh my god, how dare they fire? Here?
Speaker 4 (13:15):
You go?
Speaker 2 (13:15):
My goat? Here we go?
Speaker 3 (13:19):
Can't catch a Break's when.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
People will come out against what he's saying.
Speaker 1 (13:24):
They're like, oh, what do is Yeah, He's like, well,
they're saying otherwise, But LaVar is just sticking to it.
Speaker 2 (13:31):
Man, I'm going to stick to it. That Airrington.
Speaker 3 (13:37):
By the way, this is probably the most important part
of all of this, the fact that there was a
coaching change. I think that kind of eliminates that wipes
any sort of bets or guarantees that we've made on
this show about.
Speaker 6 (13:50):
Oh, that's a good one, so Brady, we choose a
new one with it.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
Like that's that's where Jonas has that petty like weak
side of it.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
What do you like? No, you stick with your bet.
You made the bet. You got to see it through.
Speaker 6 (14:06):
And that was them making the playoffs. That's not even
a capital boat.
Speaker 5 (14:11):
You know.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
He could never get Jonas could never get down with
the ship. He'd be throwing He'd be throwing off this
life vestest lifeboats. He'd be like, no, I'm getting on.
I'm getting on. Oh you know, bro, you got to
go down with the ship man. That's how this works.
Speaker 6 (14:24):
Oh yeah, Jonas is the one on on the sinking.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
What's the big boat tighter the Titan?
Speaker 6 (14:30):
Again? He gets on the he kids on one of
the safety boats escape boats, as is. I just want
to help all of the kids onto the I just
want to make sure let me take you to help
the women, and I want to help the women and
children onto the boat.
Speaker 4 (14:44):
You know that band that kept playing while the boat
was that at you?
Speaker 8 (14:47):
Bro?
Speaker 2 (14:47):
No?
Speaker 3 (14:48):
Not only is that not if I was in that band,
I'd light everybody else on fire and jump in the water.
What just be like right up there, guys, Hey, hey,
bring a snorkel next time, losers.
Speaker 6 (15:00):
I'm out, Sorry, buddy, I gotta go stuff to do.
That water was cold, damn two pros. By the way,
speaking of Roger, Leonardo DiCaprio was as hard as they was.
Speaker 4 (15:15):
The parties.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
Whoa whoa, whoa, whoa whoa. You're saying the Great gats
He wasn't great.
Speaker 6 (15:26):
Watch hey man, you a method actor, they say, they
they really get into character.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
Now it's all starting to make sense.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
Boy, what you tell your weirdo friends in Hollywood.
Speaker 4 (15:45):
To clean it up?
Speaker 2 (15:47):
It's starting to come out now. Lee ain't no hating anymore.
Speaker 9 (15:51):
Lee.
Speaker 3 (15:51):
By the way, Lee and Rayna did uh Tommy's yesterday
at six thirty in the morning.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
Yeah, how you guys filling at ten am? I mean,
I just want to know how it is.
Speaker 7 (16:00):
It didn't even make it to ten am.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
That's just discussed.
Speaker 10 (16:04):
I got the worst tummy ache on the drive home.
He lives ten minutes away, though I lived an hour away.
Speaker 6 (16:10):
Oh no, oh now, oh yeah, so would you stop
your car?
Speaker 2 (16:16):
I made it have to take away game.
Speaker 6 (16:19):
Nope, the car car was taking it on that the
vehicle fresh and no problem on the chin.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
Leah's no problem doing away games?
Speaker 5 (16:30):
Uh?
Speaker 9 (16:31):
That like right then and there and Tommy's. Oh man,
I almost I did. I did ask for the key
of Tommy. There you go after I did. But no,
it's a once you kind of break the seal, eh Like.
I usually don't like going away games, but once you
kind of find a place I have done it, then
it's no problem.
Speaker 3 (16:48):
Is there any Yeah, that's not really an away game like.
That's like it's like the Jaguars.
Speaker 4 (16:54):
What do you like?
Speaker 7 (16:55):
I never the like, I never went to hear.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
It when you go to the bathroom away for houseway game,
you like?
Speaker 7 (17:02):
I used to never go here at work for years,
But once they did, then it's no problem.
Speaker 3 (17:06):
Was there anybody else inside Tommy's getting a chili burger
at six thirty in the morning?
Speaker 9 (17:11):
There was a homeless lady right there, lady who was
only there for to use the bathroom, and then it
was us.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
Did they let her use it? Yeah? Oh good for them.
Of all the bathrooms she had used, Tommies Like.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
Would you think that it'd be there'd be some other
place that would be better than Tommy's bathroom.
Speaker 7 (17:28):
They're like saying, They're like, uh, no problem letting her in.
Speaker 6 (17:31):
I mean, but when you have those all night, all
day spots, exactly, they hang out there so that they
can get the food out of the dumpster. I mean,
they'd be putting some HELLI fied amounts of food in
them dumpsters. Now that's why, that's why she was probably there.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
People like Jonas, why don't finish their meal.
Speaker 4 (17:49):
Left?
Speaker 6 (17:50):
And they put that they put it all. I remember
one time I was out back. We were at Eaton
Park one time, waiting as a basketball tournament, and we
were waiting to meet all of the parents at Eaton Park,
and we were off to the side so that we
weren't taking up the parking spaces.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
We did eat there by the way.
Speaker 6 (18:09):
We weren't just waiting, and and that was the designated
meeting spot. And I was watching them bring the food
out that they didn't use, and they opened up the
the dumpster. It was like the whole thing was full
of food, like fiel to the top with just food.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
It was kind of crazy.
Speaker 6 (18:30):
Then you start to realize it ain't just rodents that
are attracted to those, uh those.
Speaker 2 (18:36):
Dumpsters dumpster diving. I mean that that's a jackpot.
Speaker 6 (18:42):
You found one of them Denny's, like our or eating
parks that I found that one day. That's that's you hit.
You hit the jackpot, man. You're gonna have to fight
for that. Everything other people, all other other rodents.
Speaker 3 (18:59):

Two Pros and a Cup of Joe Here on Fox
Sports Radio. We're gonna have another edition of Lee's Leftovers
coming up here in about fifteen minutes from now. But
right now, we welcome in Albert Breers, senior NFL reporter,
lead content strategist at the MMQB and also you see
him featured. He actually is the star of Amazon's Thursday
night coverage on Amazon Prime there for the nfl ab
(19:51):
what's happening? Good morning to you?
Speaker 5 (19:53):
Good morning guys, how we doing. That's quite the introduction, Jonas,
Thank you. I don't know if all that's true, or
even if any of it's true what I appretiated.
Speaker 3 (20:00):
Listen, we'll just roll with it at least for today,
to your knowledge, best that you know enough, oh yeah, superstar,
superstar or now, to the best of your knowledge, what
happened with Robert Sala in New York And how did
this whole thing go down a couple of days ago?
Speaker 5 (20:16):
I mean, my understanding, guys, is that this was a
one person decision that Wood he went in and fired him.
That conversation was not very long. There was one on
one that wasn't much of an explanation, and.
Speaker 8 (20:30):
That was that.
Speaker 5 (20:31):
And uh So, like I know, there's been a lot
of speculations about Aaron Rodgers involvement in this and everything else.
It's just not what it was. You know, was this
was an ownership decision, and I know it left a
lot of people inside that organization stunned, and I think
mostly because I the question is being asked now is
(20:53):
what exactly does this solve? How does this solve what
was wrong with the team? Because the defense is playing
really well. You know, you have a defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrick,
who was doing a really nice job. The issues were
on offense. But I know Salli vision to turn play
calling over to Todd Downing before this happened. So like
(21:14):
I understand wanting to shake things up and make a change,
and I'm not happy with where things are and my
friends in London just saw me get embarrassed and you know,
taught them and all that different stuff. But you know,
in the end, functionally, I think the question a lot
of people in that building are asking is what exactly
is does this solve? How does this make us better?
And you know, I think the feeling is it doesn't
(21:36):
really solve anything on offense, and it could make you
week on defense because now you've taken the defensive coordinator
and Jeff Ulbrick and made him the head coach and
so like you're you know, obstensively making your your defensive
staff a little less deep and sort of splitting leadership
up there, so yeah, I mean, you know, they obviously
(21:58):
weren't playing to their potential, but I know I'm also
not quite sure what this saws that would agree with
the people with that sentiment that out of that building.
Speaker 1 (22:07):
You know, it's interesting hearing you say that. I kind
of felt similar based on a lot of the things
that have come out Albert that you know, this is
more of an ownership deal, and Levar's talked a lot
about but just the dysfunction and helped poor. The ownership's
really been in New York for quite some time, and
I guess I want to ask about the timing of it.
Speaker 2 (22:24):
You touched on the whole UK presence.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
You know, we've talked about his past being an ambassador
in the UK, but wouldn't have made more sense to
wait for the buye I know, it's late, or to
wait for maybe a different opponent as opposed to making
this change up now with a divisional opponent coming up
the best one.
Speaker 2 (22:43):
In their division.
Speaker 5 (22:45):
Yeah, and that's Ambassador Johnson bu Brady.
Speaker 2 (22:49):
Sorry about that, mister Johnson.
Speaker 5 (22:54):
No, I like I agree, you know, and I we've
seen these things happen in coming out of all in
before too, you know, like it's not the first time.
And I know if you go back in the Raiders
did it once. The Dolphins I think did it once
where they fire coaching mid season coming out of London.
And you know, these owners a lot of times it's
a lot simpler than people make it out to be,
where it's just they come back and they're embarrassed by
(23:14):
what happened over there. They think their business, their brand
over there, they have all these big ideas and then
you know, they go and lose a football game. So
you know, I I wish I could tell you that
there's there's there's more to it than that, but maybe
there isn't, you know, because this does not make sense
from a timing standpoint either, because I mean, you look
at where they are right now. They're going into a
(23:35):
Monday night game against the Bills, and you know, like
this is for first place in the division, because the
Bills have not pulled away. They had a chance to
at three and zero, but they've lost a couple of
games in a row, and theah, the way I look
at it is that could be kind of a toxic
environment and eas throw Otherford on Monday night and God,
(23:57):
what happens if you lose that game, now, if you
played your lot card, you know what I mean. Like,
I think that that's sort of the problem with the
timing of it. And again, it's not like Robert lost
a team, you know, It's just he was a love
figure in that building and I know how the players
and the staff there felt about him. And you know,
I think sometimes these things are warranted because a coach
(24:20):
is the locker room or the you know, a team's
kind of falling flat with you know, the way it's playing,
and it's not there's not energy. That wasn't the case here.
They just weren't playing to their potential. They just weren't
playing particularly well. But I don't think there's a team
that needed a spar you know. And so I think
now you're you sort of left it where you know,
(24:41):
you've put Break in a tough position to again pointed
in the right direction with all these people asking all
these questions.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
And again, like if you.
Speaker 5 (24:51):
Take one on the chin from Buffalo on Monday night,
I mean that challenging spot.
Speaker 6 (24:57):
Yeah, I tend to agree with you. I think it's
a it's a no win situation for I call him,
you're it right now? Let's transition for me to to
Las Vegas, AB what how do you see this this
playing out with the latest you know being you know,
coach Antonio Pierce saying that he, you know, Davante Adams
(25:19):
is healing up, he's he's feeling better and if he's
able to play, he's going to play. Like is that
tongue in cheek or is that posturing?
Speaker 2 (25:27):
Like?
Speaker 6 (25:28):
What what's what's the information you have as it pertains
to what's going on there?
Speaker 2 (25:32):
And you know what?
Speaker 5 (25:33):
Yeah, I mean, I think part of it is if
Davante wants to get once to know what he wants
here right, which is a trade to the Jets, then
I think that he does have to play ball with
the Raiders a little bit, and the Raiders still do
have some control over this situation. Now, I think we
all know that any team bringing in a guy of
(25:56):
Davante's stature who's turning thirty two, was making the money
that he's making, wants to want to know before him
fourteen over a draft picks for him that he's going
to be on board. So that's DeVante's level of control.
But I mean, look like the Raiders can look at
this and say they still have the guy under contract
for the next two years. We can trade him after
(26:17):
the season if we want to. That'll be much harder
because now you know, you'll be looking at thirty six
million dollars for twenty twenty five, but you still have
that that you control is right for the next two years,
you know. And look like there's part of this too
where you know, his draft pick value isn't as such
where it's like, yeah, we have to do this, you know,
(26:38):
like you're not going to bring home a first round
pack for him. I think most teams would not give
up a second round pick for him. So if you're
talking about a three or four, it's not like it's
not like it's like a franchise altering decision to turn
down something like that. So, you know, I think DeVante, look,
if he's if he's smart about this, and he's a
pretty smart guy, you know, I think he knows he's
(27:00):
got to play ball with the Raiders a little bit,
and you know, and and and and be a good
soldier here in the short term to try to facilitate
a trade between now and November first, and to try
to have them play ball with him, and and have
them trade him to a place that he'd like to go.
Speaker 4 (27:17):
Albert Brew joining us here on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (27:20):
Where do we stand on Russell Wilson potentially getting the
nod this week for the Steelers.
Speaker 5 (27:25):
Well, he practiced fully yesterday, which is a big step.
And you know, Mike Tomlin said earlier in the week,
like how he comes out of the first full participation
practice would be a good marker. But they're still preparing
justin fields to start. And as I've told you guys,
as I've told you guys all along, there's a sentiment
in that building is stick with justin fields. And there's
(27:48):
a sentiment in that building that justin fields is the
best option for the team right now. And Arthur Smith
fields really good about where he and the offensive staff
have gotten fields and where they're going with fields now
and how much better he can get over the next
couple of months. So you know, there there are two
roads they can take here. I think the merit to
(28:10):
going with Russell Wilson is that you can always go
back to fields, Whereas if you just go with fields here,
then you know, then you know, I think it's really
at that point you're probably saying that's hit for Russell
Wilson as the starting quarter as having a shot the
starting quarterback here, you know, or you can or you
can just go with Fields now, So there's meret to
(28:31):
doing both things. I think the idea of going with
Russell would be you kind of get two cracks at it,
then you get a crack at Russell and you can
go back to Justinwhereas with Justin you go with him now,
you're all in with him.
Speaker 3 (28:42):

Speaker 7 (31:14):
To have everything?
Speaker 9 (31:14):
You gotta have two pairs of boxers tube socks to uh,
you know, everything that you're gonna have for clothing? What
else do I have in there? Gotta have batter you know,
everything's charged, ready to go to to uh bottles, two flasks.
I have two golf bags. I have to, you know,
in case somebody wants to join and they don't have
(31:35):
their clubs, in.
Speaker 2 (31:36):
Case somebody else wants to join.
Speaker 1 (31:38):
Okay, so you're preparing a go bag, like in the
event of like a natural disaster. Meanwhile, you factored in golfing.
There's gonna be golfing after this natural disaster.
Speaker 7 (31:48):
You have out of talent, my friend, Yeah, my trunk,
My trunk has everything.
Speaker 9 (31:51):
It's got two first aid kits, to bowling balls, to
cases of frisbee.
Speaker 2 (31:57):
That's kind of sad. He's actually just preparing to be
with friends.
Speaker 7 (32:00):
A friend, I'm always ready to party, you know, I
was ready.
Speaker 4 (32:03):
Why do you need frisbees?
Speaker 7 (32:05):
I meant to say disc golf two bags of disc golf.
Speaker 2 (32:08):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 7 (32:10):
Never go disc golf, and you guys like disc golf.

Speaker 2 (32:21):
Oh my gosh, is it hard to disc golf not
on drugs?
Speaker 5 (32:26):
Ly?
Speaker 7 (32:27):
Yes, Yeah, it's much much preferred on UH.
Speaker 2 (32:31):
Well anticipating.
Speaker 9 (32:32):
I was.
Speaker 1 (32:32):
I wasn't positive, but I was pretty sure that drugs
were a part of the equation.
Speaker 2 (32:36):
Drugs.
Speaker 7 (32:37):
Drugs is a hard term. It's you know, a few beers.
Speaker 2 (32:39):
That will do you. That's all you need.
Speaker 7 (32:41):
Okay, you don't need drugs. No drugs.
Speaker 9 (32:46):
Here, other people are looking for friends or our friends.
Here at Fox Sports Radio, we're looking to go to
Have you guys heard of COSM. There's one in Los
Angeles and one in Dallas.
Speaker 2 (32:55):
Yes, those are unbelievable.
Speaker 1 (32:56):
They're the cores thing that's out there in sports that
not in a people are talking about.
Speaker 9 (33:01):
Awesome, So let's talk about it. Yeah, we're gonna go
for Thursday night football next week next week for the
Broncos game because Coop wants to get a bunch of people.
So it's like, think of it like the Dome in Vegas, huge,
huge dome screen. You're sitting there watching watching the game.
You can get some food, food and drinks. It's like
a sideline experience.
Speaker 1 (33:20):
So it makes you feel like you are Yeah there's
more than one, but it makes you feel like you
are in the stands watching that at the game. It
is incredible. I don't know why every single likes big
city or city in general doesn't have one of these.
I know they're fundraising, they're they're building stuff out. The
clips of it are like insane to me. It's the
(33:42):
coolest way if you're not gonna watch in your house,
to not be at the game, to watch the game,
If that makes any.
Speaker 7 (33:47):
Sense, it might be better than going to the game probably.
Speaker 1 (33:50):
I mean, the service is better. The view is as
good as what you're gonna pay for those seats. I
mean is it's one of the coolest things I've seen
that they've come up with.
Speaker 9 (33:59):
How pricey is it's about what was it seventy five
dollars ahead.
Speaker 10 (34:03):
It's six hundred and something for the table we're looking at.
When we get eight people at seventy seven dollars a person.
Speaker 4 (34:08):
It's so bad.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
Yeah, right, And then you compare that to like the
tickets to sit in those seats where they'll give you
views from I mean the end zone are there if
you're easily saving money by staying and going to something
like that.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
So it's fear.
Speaker 4 (34:22):
It's like it's in Vegas, correct, Okay, but I mean
I ain't going but have fun. You don't want to
come Jonahs No zero chance.
Speaker 2 (34:31):
Well there's no corner of the room where Jonas and
not talk to anyone.
Speaker 3 (34:34):
Yeah, listen, I need my alone time. You guys can
go screw off, Tank have fun seats.
Speaker 9 (34:39):
WHOA this actually ties into something? I wonder lest you
guys on us, do you uh when you're meeting up
with friends, lefty dominant? When you're meeting up with the Yeah?
Speaker 2 (34:50):
Really yeah? Are you for kidding? Are you? Lefty dominant?
I have something to pull my hair when he's alone?
Speaker 4 (34:54):
He is, but I'll figure air isn't long enough.
Speaker 2 (34:57):
Damn please it? Wow?
Speaker 9 (35:06):
Well, hey, when you are meeting up with friends to
go watch a game, like wants to make us all
go to this to the causm with them because it's
his Broncos who were playing next Thursday night football. When
you're meeting with people to watch the game, if somebody
has fandom of those teams, do they get to the
final save where they where you're watching it?
Speaker 5 (35:22):
What? Bar?
Speaker 2 (35:22):
Probably should?
Speaker 1 (35:23):
I mean they actually care the most, you know, probably should.
Speaker 2 (35:26):
And they might choose a place that's actually fun because
they might know.
Speaker 6 (35:31):
And if they don't, just don't go, you know, always.
Speaker 1 (35:35):
Right, just you let everyone down around. Yeah, you know,
you never really hang out. There's that guy, just check.
Speaker 6 (35:42):
I couldn't believe I got him to Permanny's Trust, got
a state college chicken, and I.
Speaker 2 (35:48):
Was almost able to travel again. Does he have to
go anywhere again?
Speaker 5 (35:51):
This?
Speaker 2 (35:51):
They don't think so.
Speaker 4 (35:52):
You didn't think I was gonna go to p Man's.
Speaker 2 (35:54):
No, did. Damn We're going to go home right now.
Bah
