Speaker 2 (00:58):
So.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
We talked earlier in the show about the Dallas Cowboys
getting bludgeoned by the Lions and that they're tough home
loss for Dallas. We mentioned Washington, the Commandos, who even
in a loss, looked looked like they're they're somebody to
be reckoned with. And Jaden Daniels looks the part as
he is still the favorite to win Rookie of the Year.
And then you know, we were going to talk about

(01:20):
the Giants, and then the game happened and we realized
that we changed their mind on that.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
Yeah, that game sucked.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
So so it leads us, you know, one final team
in the NFC East, and that team is the Philadelphia Eagles,
who won yesterday, they beat the Cleveland Browns. Not going
to take any shots at the Cleveland Browns, all right,
I feel like there's there's been plenty that's gone around.
They've gotten their licks here on this show. But the

(01:47):
Philadelphia Eagles, even in a win, there's question marks, most
notably Nick Sirianni, who was seen yelling at fans, his
own fans there in Philadelphia, who I guess started a fire.
Sirianni chan at one point they were unimpressed by the
team beating Cleveland the way they did yesterday.

Speaker 5 (02:09):
It wasn't an impressive victory. I will say that, No,
it wasn't. So it wasn't like that, and you had
your your big guns back like it should have been
a You know the problem with Cleveland is that they
actually have talent and they do things that make it hard,
but they stink because they lose. So the more they

(02:31):
lose and you look at their record, you expect that
you're going to blow them out. But you might not
blow them out. You just might beat them, and that
creates confusion.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
They actually have a good roster.

Speaker 5 (02:41):
So that creates confusion, Like you're maybe you're not a team.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
They were eleven win team last year, right, so you're not.

Speaker 5 (02:48):
Maybe you're just not like hollering out that you should
fire your coach because you're not blowing them out. It's misleading.
It's misleading that this team, like they lose all their
games pretty much except one. But that doesn't mean that
you're going to just walk in and just beat them up. Well,

(03:09):
it's the NFL, right, Like we don't I mean Atlanta
for example, Like if you had to bet against Carolina
every single week, you're probably gonna come out on the
winning side. Same thing with New England, right, there's a
few teams you'd probably say you're gonna come.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Out on the winning side.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
In fact, I believe if you did bet on both
Houston and lay the points as well as Atlanta and
lay the points, you would have won those bets. But
more often than not, like it spreads, adjust, these teams adjust.
They'll surprise you'll they'll keep it closer than what people think.
That's typically how it works. The issue right now, it's
not so much even Philadelphia versus Cleveland and the matchup

(03:46):
and all that.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
It's the fact that Philly's got high standards. Man.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
I mean, this is a team that after winning a
super Bowl in twenty seventeen, going to the playoffs the
next two years, all right, winning their division in one
of those years, they move on from Doug Peterson because
they got off to a terrible start and the season
kind of fell apart in twenty twenty take that for
whatever it's worth. But they moved on from him then,

(04:10):
like they don't. I mean, Chip Kelly back to back
ten win seasons, move on from him. They've got a
short or small window of time where they'll move on from.
Whatever success is usually have shown in the past does
not matter. I mean, Andy Reid's one of the best
head coaches in NFL history. He was formerly an Eagles
head coach. They moved on from him. I mean, this

(04:33):
is a fan base. This is an organization that has
super high expectations every single year, and if you're not
pulling up to their standards, they're gonna let you know
about it. That's part of, you know, dealing with the
Philadelphia fan base, the media market, everything else that comes
along with that. It's one of the reasons why I
feel like Jalen Hurts is the perfect quarterback for Philly

(04:55):
because it just seems like he takes everything in stride.
He doesn't let it get to him. He understands that
it's a win, it's not a loss, even though it
feels like that if you're a Philadelphia Eagles fan, because
they just expect to blow teams out. But you know,
much like we talked about Mike Zimmer Dallas Cowboys, like
I kind of tend to be a little more patient.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
With all this.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
It's a new offense, it's a new defense like this
takes time for all this stuff to really gel.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
I mean, hell, if this is the new.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
England Patriots back when Tom Brady was there, how often
did we like hit the panic button in the first
six to seven weeks of the New England Patriots seasons.
We tend to forget they were a great team in
finishing in the regular season. They didn't always get off
to the fastest starts, like when they were those twelve
and four teams, eleven and five teams. Two or three

(05:42):
of those wins came in the first five six weeks,
or excuse me, losses came in those five six, seven weeks,
and then they started to figure out.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
Then they go on that run like it's still.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
Early, Like can we give the Philadelphia Eagles a little
bit of slack here and let them see what this
team can can morphin to and grow into. Is it
is that okay? Or do we just have to act
like this team needs to be you know, Nick Sirianni
needs to be fired. They need to blow up the
team and move on. Just that's how I feel like
Philadelphia Eagles fans are reacting to this.

Speaker 5 (06:13):
So yeah, they have no problem firing back at him, though,
I'll tell you that.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
And well that's so that's the other side of it.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
Like as much as I feel like Jalen Hurts might
be perfect for his temperament with all.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
This, then you see Siriani and you're like, oh, all right,
like maybe he needs the chill. He what was the
what was the calling coward to his impressions Lincoln?

Speaker 1 (06:39):
And I think maybe that's how Siriotti sounded yelling at
the fans an apology.

Speaker 4 (06:43):
I don't know, Lincoln, because.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
Aren't they at the Lincoln financial field. They're at the
lank financial field.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
You can know these some apologies.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
Oh we're at a commerce so whatever, hell whatever. I
love how Jonahs is so scared to even touch this topic. Know, listen,
you you're you're disappointing man. Okay, good you We can't
have fun. We can't have fun with this?

Speaker 2 (07:15):
What do you mean?

Speaker 3 (07:16):
I just I don't understand what he said wrong. I
thought his tone and his pitch was.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
You are at all going to oh link direct commercial? Whatever?
That's the commercial? Whatever?

Speaker 4 (07:31):
Do you want to play that for the for the
new audience.

Speaker 5 (07:33):
We're just real good about USC struggling to find what
was wrong with this?

Speaker 2 (07:38):
To be honest, I do you good?

Speaker 6 (07:40):
Some of you guys are gonna Lincoln Riley an apology.

Speaker 7 (07:46):
I don't know these big ten teams can handle coming
out west the sunshine, the distractions of LA probably not.

Speaker 6 (07:56):
Look at the halftime score on it cos them in
a commercial whatever. I don't hold grudge's apologies accepted.

Speaker 5 (08:06):
Probably not. I don't see it's wrong these Big ten teams.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
What is you that commercial? Whatever? Whatever? I mean that
he sounded like he was nothing.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
It was like, bro, just do the take again, like
just film yourself doing again, whether they're not a commercial
or something like, what what is that included as part
of it?

Speaker 2 (08:25):
It's just glasses everything. Man having a real good well.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
But if you can't understand why someone who gets up
with us in the mornings right at the ass crack
of dawn and then sees this video and it's just
like I want to punch this guy in the face,
like like that's I think he's going to work construction.
He's gonna work some some hard like yeah, that's that's
why there's a different, you know, different sense of culture

(08:55):
or perspective on life and on sports.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
And everything else.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
I mean, listen, I think he sounded great. I think
you all he sounds great. And he's got a great
beer by the way. You know, I've had his hazy
I PA before, So I don't know why why he's
getting as much he's as he is here on this show.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
Yeah, I mean LeVar Jonas is getting a lot of
use out of those pads.

Speaker 8 (09:15):
Jesus, what dang alright?

Speaker 2 (09:26):
Have I quinn?

Speaker 5 (09:27):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (09:31):
Whatever?

Speaker 5 (09:33):
Hey, listen, don't you disrespect the new host of Way
Up on Game all right, It'll not happen here on
this show. I tell you that right now.

Speaker 4 (09:42):
You want to hear you want to hear Nick Sirianni.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Uh, Let's see if it sounds the.

Speaker 5 (09:48):
Questions here about his behavior on the sideline.

Speaker 9 (09:51):
When our crowd cheers for us, we thrive off him,
and you know we hear him when they boo.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
We don't.

Speaker 9 (09:56):
We don't necessarily like it. I don't think that's productive
for anybody. But you know, when they cheer for us,
and when when we got him rolling, you know, we
love it.

Speaker 5 (10:05):
So Nick Sirianni, I wanted to hear how he was
talking to the fans. That's what I wanted to hear.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
But I mean, we want to hear someone talking. I'd
rather hear the clip from de Vincenzo talking to Tom Thibodeau.
That was good last night's Timberwolves next game.

Speaker 5 (10:20):
That would to know more and more about that that
was that was a vibe wasn't it was?

Speaker 4 (10:27):
That was a he was on the snow on the
foul line giving him that work.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
He was dropping that free throw too, he saying it,
grabbed the ball, saying it and dropped the.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Free throw and looking at him like yeah, he couldn't
handle it either. That had him upset too.

Speaker 9 (10:41):
Well.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
Yeah, there was an assistant on staff I forget the
guy's name who approached him afterwards and was Rumsford.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
Or something like that.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
He's like that, that's that's a sucker move, the one
with the ball hit.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (10:52):
Yeah, he just went right back at him. Oh he
did he want They wanted to thump. He wanted to
thump with him. Yeah, like what you getting on? Like
tight like that four man top shoulders?

Speaker 3 (11:01):
Yeah yeah, hey brouh, Hey you know what big month
for us?

Speaker 5 (11:06):
He was. Hey, he was showing some real swag though.
Columbus Day two hell yeah, oh dang, let's kids don't
even get off these days anymore. So sorry for this,
Sorry for that.

Speaker 3 (11:17):
Plus plus plus we got October October twenty seventh coming
up soon, less than two weeks away from the big day,
October twenty seven, My birthday October?

Speaker 4 (11:29):
Is it me too? No, you're lying. Yeah. October twenty seventh,
you do know that? Are we really birthday twins? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (11:37):
Belave it up?

Speaker 4 (11:39):
Top right on't it?

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Oh? Top? Got it?

Speaker 8 (11:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (11:48):
I'm just telling you. I am now putting the video
with the quote and and Q. You couldn't be more right.
Come on, Colin, come on, bro? What are you doing?
What are you doing?

Speaker 4 (12:07):
Having a good time?

Speaker 2 (12:08):
You know? Hey, Colin, Colin, we are that's right, Penn State.

Speaker 8 (12:15):
We are.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Penn State.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
I mean you can have a beer off here.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
OK.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
Got to be honest with what my disappointment is right now.
What's disappointing is is when Jonas goes in what he
can go in with the best of them, you know
what I'm saying, like, and you're like all right, Like, hey,
it's it's the tenth round. Man, We're down. Like I
need you, I need you to go in and throw
some haymakers. We gotta win this round.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
We're gonna get it.

Speaker 4 (12:39):
We gotta win by a knockout championship round.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
Jonas I can go in and can and can do it,
and he can deliver.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
He's sitting on the bench right now.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
Bro, He's sitting on the stool he's not even getting
up from the corner like you might as well throw
in the way town just.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
The whole thing.

Speaker 3 (12:53):
I just because I don't find anything that he did egregious.
I don't know why, you know, why he's getting aired
out the way that he is. Ten dollars like this
is legitimately how I feel about the situation.

Speaker 4 (13:07):
And so, I mean, I think he sounded a great
I think he sounded great. I think he sounded a great.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
Day. And I do think that.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
You know, if LaVar wants to uh settle this, you
could have a beer off. As I mentioned, Colin is
a great beer and a great beer line. Lvar, you
could have your your leaplogger.

Speaker 4 (13:32):
Some leap blogger and uh and we could. We could
do it that way.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
So let me know the next time you're off, I'm.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
Gonna take the show off to join us works So
damn well he wants that anyway.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
Yeah, I just I'm disappointed. Man, he's changed, dude. He
douys don't want us around.

Speaker 5 (13:47):
He said he went change. Well he got that new
cont You know what, You're right, You're right in contra.
You've been a different dude ever since.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
I've been I've been trying to be supportive of.

Speaker 5 (13:56):
Him, but man, not just a different dude, man corporate
talking about now you know he's he's on that trajectory.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
You know.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
I thought the most egregious part was the fact that
he mentioned that it was that commercial and said, whatever.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
I just I can't get over it. Lee, Can you
just play the end of it?

Speaker 1 (14:15):
Can you just play the end of the clip so
you'll get here it.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
Right?

Speaker 6 (14:23):
Look at the halftime score on a commercial?

Speaker 2 (14:28):
Whatever? Look at the halftime score. Oh, they're a commercial. Whatever.
I just I mean this, dude, like film it again.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
If you really want to like send out this video
like just editing, filming, I get do something. Just don't
send that version out. You know, I don't know why
I find that part so entertaining.

Speaker 5 (14:53):
Well, seeing it it gives it all the personality that.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
Yeah, it makes it better.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
If I'm the cause, I'm gonna be like, take it down.
We've got a really good lot of good momentum here going.
Now You're we're talking about this instead of Cosm, which
is like the coolest experience I think outside of going
to the game.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
It actually made me want to go there more. Seeing
Colin there to be honest with you.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
Oh my god.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
All right, So look, I mean, you know a teacher
and I guess Two Pros and a Cup of Joe
here on Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas
Knox with you coming up next here from the Tyrols
text com.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
Call me outside of the show. Yeez, just just don't.
This is such a disappointing version of you.

Speaker 3 (15:37):
All right, So coming up next, what's not disappointing is
what this coach in the NFL did yesterday, and apparently
he's got a perfect record. You'll hear from him right
here on FSR.

Speaker 10 (15:48):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (16:03):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
So this is interesting.

Speaker 3 (16:11):
It just came out from Ian Rappaport of the NFL
Network that Hassan Reddick has hired an agent. Drew Rosenhaus
and Ryan Matha has his new agents and Rosenhaus says
he Drew he will meet with the Jets before the
game tonight to begin the process of resolving the situation
and ending the holdout. So maybe a little bit of

(16:35):
hope for uh Hassan Reddick getting back to the Jets.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
Can tell you what man, No one markets themselves like
Drew Drew really does. Like in this case, he's not
only going to be the savior to a Son Reddick,
but he looks like the savior to the Jets fans
as well that they get one of these top players
who can help them in this case with a Hassan Reddick.
But he just does a great job, you know, put
his name out there, you know. And I know there's

(17:00):
maybe some people have mixed opinions on the contract work
that he does, but he gets well, I mean that
may be the case, but he gets gets guys opportunities,
he gets himself out there.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
Like I'm not hating for the way markets himself down.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
I made sure that was the first name Tyreek Hilly
shouting now and he was on the ground after Goldrum.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
I mean, that's here just telling you call Saul better saw.

Speaker 3 (17:26):
Uh So we uh, we'll get to see how that
plays out here. So maybe maybe he arrives, maybe the
Jets get their pass rusher. And then again maybe now
because there's been all sorts of stuff that's come out
on a son Reddick that they were close to having
a deal resolved and they were going to get more
money and it was going to be a reworked contract,
and then he backed out on it, and then he's

(17:47):
got a business partner who's suing him for one point
six million dollars. So a lot of smoke, a lot
of noise for his Sonreddick when it comes to his
situation with the Jets. But if he does arrive, maybe
this just means that Woody Johnson's please last week were heard.

Speaker 4 (18:02):
Yeah, maybe it worked.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
By the way, we do have a quote from Drew
Rosenhaus who said the following, we look forward to working
with the Jets to get this resolved as soon as possible.
Hassan Reddick would like to be a New York Jet
for years to come, and our goal is to make
that happen. So look at that, all of a sudden,
new agent, you know, brand new coach, and now you know,
Hassan Reddick is ready to be a Jet for years

(18:24):
to come. So so things are on the rise for
the New York Jets. See LeVar, you wanted to give
up on them too soon? Man, Well, I'm Brady and
I stood our ground.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
Make your work in Detroit. But you guys didn't feel
like he fit the.

Speaker 5 (18:36):
Uh, the proper criteria to be they have a type.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
Yeah, okay, that's what you mean.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
First off, I'm not on Jonas's team on anything, now,
why not? Okay, but LaVar, you keep going with what
you were saying.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
Okay, that's that was it.

Speaker 4 (18:49):
That was okay, all right?

Speaker 2 (18:53):
So you guys, how.

Speaker 5 (18:54):
How how effective do you guys think Hassan could be
if he gets back in there.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
I mean, I think it could be effective.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
Look, I mean this defense is already one of the
better defenses, so there's no doubt he can help out.
I don't know how long it's gonna take him to
get up to speed. It's not like we have any
insider information as too. If he's working out, and then
he's got to get into football shape even if he
is in shape. But look, I don't think it hurts
your team adding another edge rusher, you know, and you
know as well as anyone, LeVar, you get to these

(19:24):
third downs, these predictable passing situations.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
Every team wants to get their.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
Four best pass rushers on the field, and you add
that guy to the mix of what they already have
with the Jets, like, that's a dangerous combination.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
So I think it will help if he can get there.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
It's just a matter of if he will actually get there,
because it appears that Woody Johnson doesn't understand that having
a nice conversation and driving up ninety five isn't really
all Hassan Redick's looking for.

Speaker 2 (19:49):
He's looking for more guarantees.

Speaker 1 (19:51):
More money, yeah, and cash to give him a little
more peace of mind if he's going to go out
there and.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
Play the way he has last three years.

Speaker 3 (19:58):
Arizona, Carolinailadelphia. He produced in all those places. So I mean,
if you're just looking at the trend line, it does
feel like, you know, there's an opportunity for him and
they're going to be much better with him than without him. So,
but we've got Monday Night football coming up later on
a battle for the AFC East between the Bills and
the Jets, so we will recap that for you tomorrow.

(20:21):
Now it's time to look back on somebody who's got
a perfect record. I didn't know this was actually a thing.
But Jim Harbaugh and the Chargers get it done at
Denbury yesterday. You know, the game, the score looks a
lot closer than the game actually was.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
I don't.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
I mean the Courtland Sutton touchdown in my mind that
shouldn't have been a touchdown was ruled a touchdown. There
wasn't enough evidence to overturn it. But nonetheless, the Chargers
get it done. LA wins. But it was also following
an incident that took place pregame where Jim Harbaugh went
into the medical tent and then.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
Went into the locker room.

Speaker 4 (20:57):
Nobody could figure out what was going on.

Speaker 3 (20:59):
Then this rumor darted on social media that some people
thought maybe he crapped his pants because he came out
wearing different pants or something like that, so they assumed
he had an accident.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
I just thought you actually were the one that said that, No,
that was not me.

Speaker 4 (21:11):
Again, broadcast, it.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
Looked like, based on what you said before the show
in your notes, that you were leading to believe.

Speaker 3 (21:17):
That's no, that was That was just some of the speculation.
But again, as a broadcast professional, I wouldn't go down
that road, right personally.

Speaker 5 (21:24):
You've been a total broadcast professional today, by the way,
total all the way.

Speaker 4 (21:29):
I mean, it's just a yeah, there you go.

Speaker 2 (21:31):
Good.

Speaker 3 (21:31):
I'm proud of and that's and that's the whole point here,
Like you've got to be a professional. And I'm trying
to maintain my perfect record. And apparently Jim Harborough's got
a perfect record because he has this sound.

Speaker 5 (21:42):
Through it all, irregular heartbeat everything, just through it all,
you just maintained, got it done.

Speaker 3 (21:48):
Heart arrhythmia. Good for him, comes back good? You know,
they win the game. I mean he apparently this is
not the first time this has happened.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
Everything ended up turned out to be okay.

Speaker 11 (22:00):
I deal with this, I guess minor. It's called atril
flutter and I got into an episode of the Day
with it, and then doctors checked me out and it
got back into sinus rhythm.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
I haven't qualified to talk about yet. This is me
I'm allowed to.

Speaker 11 (22:18):
You know, I've had two and one with an arrhythmias.

Speaker 5 (22:23):
How about that perfect record with hardvar You don't want
to lose that one. Yeah, that's it could be a
scary thing. I know people who deal with this, and
you know, your heart starts racing, I mean like two
hundred and fifty beats per minute. I mean think about
something and that you know that range.

Speaker 1 (22:38):
So I don't know where your heart kind of gets
off kilts her and starts beating like that, and it
can scare a lot of people.

Speaker 2 (22:44):
So glad he's okay.

Speaker 1 (22:46):
Hopefully they can figure it a way of treating it
so he doesn't have to have these like flare ups.
But I'm sure the NFL AT coaching position doesn't help
with all that. What triggers it stress, I don't know.
I mean, like depending on the different types. My mom
deals with something called SVT and she still to this
day can't diagnose what exactly causes it.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
She thinks it could be food.

Speaker 1 (23:08):
She thinks it sometimes could be like perfume or colone,
you know, sometimes things like that that like set it off.
But either way, it's you know, there's different medication, there's
different you know, operations you can have to help kind
of set it right. Depending on the case. Obviously everyone's different,
but it is something that's like pretty serious, you know,
especially when people start talking about their heart. Man, once

(23:29):
that ticker starts going too fast or maybe even too slow,
you will recognize. And if you're a family member, you've
got somebody who deals with it. It's it can be
a scary situation.

Speaker 9 (23:39):
Lee.

Speaker 3 (23:39):
So the first time this happened, this was in twenty twelve,
you were.

Speaker 4 (23:44):
Saying Niners Bears. Yes, as he describes it, a big
game for Colin Kaepernick, big win.

Speaker 2 (23:52):
Versus the Bears.

Speaker 4 (23:54):
Oh Well says he always remembers it because of it.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
Yeah, maybe it was maybe it was altitude. I don't know,
but but good for Jim Harbaugh.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
They I don't know.

Speaker 4 (24:02):
Maybe it was the eltitude, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (24:04):
Maybe San Francisco, Chicago and Denver yesterday where they were gotcha.
You know, it couldn't been that. I don't know, but
I do know this. When it comes to the AFC West, Uh,
it is Chiefs and everybody else. But I think we've
clearly seen a divide that yeah, it's Chiefs, but LA's
in the mix kind of. And then Denver is whatever.

(24:26):
And then the Raiders just aren't. And the Raiders feel
like they are, They're heading in the wrong direction in
a hurry. And I'm just glad they changed quarterbacks because
that was really going to fix everything.

Speaker 5 (24:36):
I think we already knew that that wasn't going to
be the case. Then they do think coming into the season,
you know, I think they felt like they whoever's making
the decisions, they needed to make a change that maybe
they felt like, I mean, you'd have to assume they
felt like it gave them a better opportunity of winning
the games. I just don't think they have a quarterback.

(24:59):
And coming into the Sea and I said, they don't
have a quarterback, and listen, whether whether you're high on
Minshew or you're high on O'Connell, I just think they're
both backup quarterbacks. You don't have a guy that can,
you know, be the difference maker at that position. And
with that being said, I don't even put the entirety

(25:20):
of what's going on with this team at the quarterbacks position.
They have issues, and we've made that point. I've made
the point they've had they've got issues. As a full team,
as a full roster, they have issues, and those issues
aren't going to get addressed. It doesn't seem like that

(25:42):
it's for certain, not this season. So I think the
bigger question that surrounds the Las Vegas Raiders is what
is a successful year for the Raiders legitimately and realistically?

Speaker 2 (26:00):
What what is.

Speaker 5 (26:02):
The real expectations of a successful year for this team?
I mean, I don't think that there's a I mean,
maybe there's a quarterback that you guys think is good
enough for them to to like, you know, well.

Speaker 2 (26:14):
That that ship's sailed though.

Speaker 4 (26:15):
Now right, here's extual year's draft though well.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
And then look, Shadoor Sander's at Colorado, Carson beckat Georgia
Camblore to Miami. Those will be the three top guys
quin yours will be in that conversation too from Texas.

Speaker 2 (26:27):
Are they good enough?

Speaker 5 (26:28):
Are those guys good enough for it to be a
losing season is a win for them?

Speaker 2 (26:33):
Are they good? Are they that good.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
That that's a that's a hard question to answer because
you know that it doesn't feel as bullproof as other prospects.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
But I mean, here's the reality.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
Is people felt that way about Trevor Lawrence, right, true,
I don't think we're talking that way about Trevor Lawrence
after this past weekend's game. Now, So even if I said, hey,
I think Shador Sanders is that guy, depending on the
situation and circumstance, he enters into it might not turn
out to be the case. You know, we all try
to make these predictions and prophesize how it's going to

(27:02):
work out when a player gets to a certain place,
but you know, so much of the time it's also
what's there, what's around them, the organization, the stability, everything
else that goes along with that. It's a culmination of things.
I was just going to go back on this when
you're saying, like, what's a successful season for the Raiders
this year? That's part of the issue with the NFL

(27:23):
and what's happened now even despite the fact they play
seventeen games, is six seven games in the season. When
you get a team that's a one wim team, like,
what does your fan base start saying, well, now we
wanted to lose all of them, Like instead of fighting back,
they're like, well no, because now we get that maybe
the top pick in the draft next year, So just
have a terrible season. Like So to answer your question, like, yeah,

(27:44):
I guess if people really love Schador Sanders or Carson
Beck whoever, cam Ward whoeveryonetre thrown in that conversation, that
I guess is how you would then define for the Raiders,
a team that we knew was going to be in
a bit more of a rebuilding.

Speaker 2 (27:58):
Mode anyway this year.

Speaker 1 (28:00):
I guess that's how you define it effective, because this
may set them up to then have success in twenty
twenty five, twenty twenty six in the future.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
But that's the crazy thing.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
For me about the NFL that's kind of been a
bit of a turnoff is we don't even talk about
teams like playing spoiler. Like one of the greatest privileges
you had when you were in Cleveland and you weren't
in a playoff hunt was trying to spoil it for
the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Speaker 2 (28:23):
We did that one time on.

Speaker 1 (28:24):
Thursday Night Football late in the season in two thousand
and nine. So there's not even that like element anymore. Really,
Like you have that more in college. You don't really
have that in an NFL because so much of it
has been about Okay, let's already spin it forward to
next year's draft.

Speaker 2 (28:39):
Let's see like who we're gonna.

Speaker 1 (28:40):
Get, Like, how can we get you know, in position
to get the best player possible, How can we get
that number one overall pick? You know, I just I
almost wish there was an element of protection where whether
it's an NFL draft lottery or however we go about
doing it, I almost wish there's an element of protection.
So that wasn't the case because I think how people

(29:01):
would probably who are Raiders fans, to find the rest
of this season is well, let's put ourselves in a
position to get the top quarterback in next year's draft.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
Am I wrong for saying that? No?

Speaker 3 (29:10):
No, it's and it's a loser's mentality. And what's weird
about the Raiders as well too?

Speaker 1 (29:16):
But don't you think the NFL's done that to themselves? Yeah,
by how to set up the draft?

Speaker 4 (29:20):
I agree, No, I totally agree.

Speaker 3 (29:22):
Like if you wanted to do some sort of a
lottery system, it would make the most sense. And like
you remember when the Texans beat so it was Houston
was playing oh gosh, why am I blanket on it?
But it was basically to get the number one pick,
and the Texans ended up winning a game at the
end which cost them the number one pick. In Chicago

(29:43):
got it, which turned into the trade that Bryce Young
the Carolina and the Bears got the number one pick
the following year because Carolina is stunk. But there were
Texans fans that were pissed off at Lovey Smith and
Davis Mills because they won the game, and like they
showed the Texans owner the sideline and he looked pissed.
And now you look at it and you go, well,

(30:03):
it worked out because you got CJ. Stroud and he's
a star. But it's this weird loser's mentality of like, Okay, well,
then let's just lose every game and then the Raiders
are a great fan base, that's a historic fan base.
Yesterday I had a buddy who was at the game.
He said it was seventy percent Steelers fans. And it's
not like the Steelers are lighting the league up, but

(30:26):
it just feels like Raider fans are already at the
point to where they're like, all right, we suck Davante
once out. We don't have a solution at quarterback. We
lost out on the Michael Pennock situation in the draft
because Atlanta took him, and now it's just kind of okay, well,
sell your tickets off, let the visitors take over, and
just hope you get to the end of the season. Meanwhile,

(30:47):
Antonio Pierce has still got to be the coach there,
and he's gonna be the one who's got to wear
the ls and probably get a lot of the heat
if they.

Speaker 4 (30:53):
Want to make a change.

Speaker 2 (30:55):
So I don't know.

Speaker 5 (30:56):
I think it's it's more personnel driven, and again he
has an all star cast of personnel at the coaches
and advisory positions. I think they gotta if you're if
you're you know, Mark Davis in this situation, I think
you really would be doing yourself a disservice if you

(31:17):
did not give this group of men the opportunity to
put together execute whatever it is their plan is in
terms of how they want to build this roster.

Speaker 3 (31:27):
I wonder what Ap thought of Derek Carr, Like I
wonder if he would have pushed for them to keep
Derek Carr, because there was some speculation whether or not
it was Mark Davis or Josh McDaniels that wasn't sold
on Derek Carr. But I wonder if Antonio appears was
the coach, if he would have I mean, we know
he wanted a quarterback. I know we know that everybody
knows he wanted a quarterback, which means that he knew

(31:49):
he did not have a quarterback. So we could be
clear on that. Yeah, Now I don't know what that means.
If Derek Carr is still on the team, Is that
what comes out from what we know about what AP
was looking for for this team.

Speaker 4 (32:02):
If Derek car Avante just went out.

Speaker 5 (32:05):
Davante doesn't want out, you can address other issues that
are connected to your team, you know, other positions because
you don't necessarily need a quarterback, you don't need a receiver.
I mean, you had Josh Jacobs, you added you added
a dope ass tight end in your draft. So now
you got a tight end, you got a dope receiver,

(32:26):
you got a quarterback. I'm just saying, man, you know,
it's a different it could be a different tail of
the tape if if Carr is still there. But it's
a hypothetical, so it doesn't really matter.

Speaker 4 (35:38):
What Indigenous People's Day?

Speaker 2 (35:39):
What about it?

Speaker 4 (35:40):
It's Columbus Day slash Indigenous People's Day? Are the kids
off of school?

Speaker 2 (35:44):
Isn't that a contradiction? Kind of that's a contradiction. What
do you mean?

Speaker 5 (35:50):
It's indigenous Indigenous people in Columbus Day?

Speaker 2 (35:53):
That's a contradiction.

Speaker 7 (35:54):
Well, because we because we've celebrated Columbus Day for so long.

Speaker 5 (35:57):
As he's discovered a place that had already you had
people there that was indigenous to the land. Yes, that's
what That's what that meant. I'm trying to understand what
you meant by that. Yeah, I mean people basically celebrate
Indigenous People's Day because Columbus.

Speaker 4 (36:12):
You know, made it indigenous. I don't know what you're saying.

Speaker 2 (36:17):
What is he said?

Speaker 4 (36:19):
Is it a holiday? It is a holiday, kids, Columbus.

Speaker 5 (36:22):
Day is a holiday. Yes, okay, yes, my kids at school, don't.
I just work, so I can't really keep tracking. I'm
working today. That's what we do. We work on holidays.
That's what we do.

Speaker 2 (36:32):
