we talked a lot about the Jameis Winston Monday Night
Football exp Experiance. It took place last night. It was
wonderful for everybody that got to partake, fun game, back

(01:07):
and forth battle, probably kind of a reversal of what
everybody thought these teams were going to be at this
point in the season to where Denver's fighting for a
playoff spot and the Browns are just they're not good
at all, and they're going to be picking high atop
the draft, and so the discussion becomes, what do you
do with Deshaun Watson, et cetera, et cetera. This also

(01:27):
came out some of these statistics from last night. So
Jamis Winston four hundred and ninety seven passing yards. It's
the Browns single game franchise record, only twenty fewer than
Tom Brady's five seventeen for the most all time on
Monday Night football. And he also threw three interceptions with

(01:47):
two pick sixes, which by the way, there could have
been a third pick six there. Like they were off
to the races and there was the potential they were
going to take that to the house as well too.
So if you were looking for an entertaining football game,
Jameis Winston delivered, And I just wonder, you know, is
this just going to be what it is with him?
He's going to keep taking short term deals and wherever

(02:09):
he goes he gets an opportunity, he's just going to
go out and sling it and just you know, right
off into the sunset, like that was this year ten
in his career or is this going to be staying
put in Cleveland for a little while.

Speaker 5 (02:20):
I would love to see him stay put in Cleveland
if possible. Now that granted, that's like he gets an
actual opportunity to start and play, you know, I mean,
I know he went there because of the system fits,
some of the talent they had, and then the opportunity
that was there because he's probably looking at de Shaan
Watson saying, the guys that battle some injury issues and
on top of it, he's battle some off the field issues,

(02:41):
so there's maybe a greater opportunity for me to go
in and play. And now looking at how he's playing,
if I'm Cleveland, I got to find a way to
give myself a better chance at the quarterback spot. And
Jamis is doing that right now. And I think again
I said at the start the year, I was just
surprised he wasn't on the Raiders, on some of their

(03:03):
team where I feel like he would have been an
upgrade based on what they had. So hopefully Cleveland could
take advantage of it, you know, could they potentially draft
a guy too they feel good about in the next
year or two maybe, But I love him, man. I
think Kevin Stefanski can help coach some of the stuff
out of Jamis Winston that he struggled with. And I

(03:23):
think the players love him. I think the fans love him,
and I'm hoping that they don't let him go because
I think they've got something with him and with a
fresh start, fresh season, I think it'd be a lot
of fun to see what he's capable of doing.

Speaker 6 (03:38):
I've made it a point to say I feel like
Kevin Stefanski took it on the chin for this organization
to cover up and basically be the fall guy for
what took. What's taking place in Cleveland right now with
the Deshaun Watson experiment, you have the opportunity to see

(03:58):
another quarterback play without Deshaun Watson and comes in and
they make the playoffs. They have a successful season, and
they carried that momentum into the offseason.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
They get rid of them.

Speaker 6 (04:11):
And it's interesting because if you think about the history
of Deshaun Watson, the reports, by all reports given, it
seems as though if anyone is challenging or any type
of competition is in the locker room that makes him
feel uncomfortable, They generally have gotten rid of that person,
and that was DeAndre Hopkins reportedly in Houston. At the

(04:35):
same position, you have Joe Flacco doing well. Why wouldn't
Joe Flacco have just been maintained and remained on that
roster just in case a time like this came about.

Speaker 4 (04:47):
And yet it was.

Speaker 6 (04:48):
Probably because of the discomfort or the buy in to
a quarterback other than your starter, and you had to
remove that from your situation. You get it in year
two now it's again the same scenario. And I feel
like if Jameis Winston, which even though they lost last night,
they were competitive, so you want to call him a
bad team, I would say in the locker room after

(05:10):
that game, they probably felt they probably feel more and
more comfortable with Jameis Winston being the leader of their
team as the starting quarterback than what they felt about
their season earlier on in how that was unfolding.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
Who else has done that to Denver's defense all year?

Speaker 6 (05:26):
I mean he was you know, and Q highlighted how
well they've played, and yet you know with even the
mistakes that he'd make, like driving down right before halftime,
you give up a pick six, It's like it didn't
even phase them. You know, he jumped back out there
and he kept slinging it the same exact way that
he was when he was playing the game. So the

(05:47):
bottom line here for me is is that if you're
going to do it two years in a row, how
what does that look like to your fan base? You
get rid of Jameis Winston two years in a row,
or excuse me, get rid of a backup quarterback that
comes in and plays well two years in a row,
what does that look like? Knowing that you're doing it

(06:10):
because of Deshaun Watson. I don't see that happening. So
if Jameis Winston finishes out strong, there's no reason why
they wouldn't extend him and bring him back just as
a safety precaution.

Speaker 5 (06:22):
Am to Am I the only one who feels this
way though, like he's he's playing well enough where he
gives them a shot, like he's a good fit. And
I've said this also about when Deshaun Watson got to Cleveland.
I never thought Kevin Stefanski's system was a good fit
for Deshaun Watson. What Stefanski wants to do and what
Watson excels at are not even anywhere close in the

(06:45):
same vicinity. So I've never felt like this was going
to be a good match. Repairing on the flip side
of that, I do think Jamis Winston in his skill
set and what Stefanski wants to fits and I think
that's why you see what their personnel is the most
big plays versus one of the best defenses last night.
So I don't know, maybe I'm the only one that
feels this way, but I think he's a good fit

(07:05):
for what their team has. And this is again, this
is a team that's battled with offensive line issues and injuries.
They traded away their best receiver at Murray Cooper, and
defensively has been banged up at times this year. So
I just would love to see what this season could
have been or what they would look like in twenty
twenty five with Jamis Winston starting on a healthy Cleveland

(07:28):
Browns roster. I'd love to see where that goes.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
If the choice is this, if you're the Cleveland Browns,
who are you going with Stefanski or Deshaun Watson. I
don't even think it's a question anymore. He goes Stefanski.
He's proven it time in and time, time and time
again that he can do it with other quarterbacks not
named Deshaun Watson. He actually does better with other quarterbacks
not named Deshaun Watson. Even going all the way back
to Minnesota, wasn't he the OC there when case Keenan

(07:54):
went on that run as a backup for the Vikings
and got him to an NFC title game against Philly.
Just all the it's all there, The proof is there.
Now you just got to figure out you know what
it's gonna comes.

Speaker 6 (08:06):
No figuring it out. It just doesn't seem like there's
any figuring it out. And as logical as what you're
saying and as logical as it would make sense to
continue moving forward where Jameis Winston or last year would
have been moving forward with Joe Flacco, it's there's I mean,
what are you going to do, Like you're gonna sit

(08:28):
there and have that much of an investment just sitting
on your sideline. You're going to just cut the loss
at whatever it is that number is. With Deshaun Watson,
You're stuck. You gotta try it again. You got to
go back to the well and you got to try
it again, or you got to hire some people, get
him in the corner and say, you know, we need

(08:49):
you to kind of sign off on a restructureing of
this deal so that we could let you go. And
we're not letting you out of this room until you
sign this dotted line. I've been watching a lot of
movies the show was on, like crime shows on on
Netflix and on on demand, and it seems as though
like it would be possible for somebody to actually try
to do that, you know, contract somebody out put him

(09:11):
in a room. You know, they hired the FBI to
FBI comes in, they investigated that to die. Next thing,
you know, it's like they can't figure out who it is.
And then it's like, God, well, we're going to blame you.
But you thought you were the victim in the scenario,
but you've been framed and you were set up and
now you got to go on this whole journey on
proven why you're innocent and all this old. It just
seems like it would be the perfect storyline for Deshaun

(09:31):
Watson to be a part of.

Speaker 4 (09:33):
You think they could pull that off?

Speaker 5 (09:34):
And no, hell.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
No, no, that's too bad.

Speaker 6 (09:37):
Yeah, but but Netflix pulls it off and and on demand,
you know they pulled it off too.

Speaker 7 (09:42):
You know.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
But one last time for those that have not heard it,
Jameis Winston h with the gospel postgame.

Speaker 8 (09:49):
In times like this, you know that's it's it's an
opportunity to continue to go for the lower even through
the toughest circumstances.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
I know him better than this, I know.

Speaker 8 (10:02):
I'm like, I'm just praying for the Lord to deliver
me from pick sixes.

Speaker 4 (10:06):
Like that's just that's not me.

Speaker 8 (10:08):
Like phenomenal game offense, do some great things, but I
miss it up.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
The Lord to deliver me from them pick six Boy,
if you guys were betting right now, do you think
Jamis there is another pick six this season?

Speaker 5 (10:26):
Because I was, yeah, yeah, again, you gotta take the
good with the bad. But yeah, yeah, there's a chance.

Speaker 6 (10:34):
They say, the Lord doesn't deliver it to you when
you're asked for it, but he'll deliver it to you
right on time. So he might continue on throwing some
pick sixes, but at some point God's time. God speed,
my guy, God speed. Don't don't you give up. Don't
you give up on that prayer. Jameis I mean, I'm
sitting here laughing at you, but I'm just saying I

(10:56):
just found it to be funny.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
You believe in your prayer.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
Look at the list of career pick sixes for quarterbacks
in the NFL. Who'd you guys guess is number one?
Brett Fahr Brett film Ding ding Ding. That is correct,
Brett Farv thirty two pick sixes in his career. Next
up is a current player still slinging it around in
the NFL. Geez Ron, No, oh.

Speaker 4 (11:23):
Stafford, that is correct.

Speaker 3 (11:25):
Yeah, Ben Stafford's got thirty.

Speaker 5 (11:28):
Well, I was thinking, like back in some of those
tough Detroit days, like there was probably a fair amount
of passing and a probably a fair amount of pick sixes.

Speaker 6 (11:35):
Quietly, that team is marching quietly, the Rams. They're marching
real quiet. They're marching real quiet.

Speaker 4 (11:46):
That game against Saints.

Speaker 5 (11:47):
How quiet, Jonas? How quiet is that one?

Speaker 3 (11:49):
That game against the Saints wasn't even worth mentioning at
any point on a radio or TV show ever over
the last twenty four hours.

Speaker 5 (11:59):
That game was not It wasn't worth watching.

Speaker 4 (12:01):
It's just not. But you know, in the NFC West.

Speaker 6 (12:07):
Like I said, quietly, the Rams are Marching. I don't
get Seattle like.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
That's the one that confuses the hell out of me
because I'm just assuming that they're number one.

Speaker 5 (12:18):
Yeah, all right, do we want to go through? It
could be time for that time with the NFL playoff predictor.

Speaker 3 (12:24):
All right, let's do it. Do we have any game show?
We got a live studio band here, we got game
show music for the playoff predictor?

Speaker 4 (12:31):
No, there we go?

Speaker 5 (12:32):
All right? Can you guys dain the two teams in
the NFL who've already clinched playoff spots this season? The
Kansas City Chiefs ding ding ding, the.

Speaker 4 (12:41):
Buffalo Bills ding ding ding.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
Isn't that wild that Detroit hasn't yet because of their division.

Speaker 5 (12:49):
Because of Minnesota. Man, good, because the Vikings. It's awesome.
All right, let's go through the rest of the AFC.
Stick at the number three spot, our three seat excuse me,
that's the Pittsburgh Steelers taking nine to three first in
the AFC North, a ninety nine percent chance or probability
of making the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (13:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (13:06):
Next up in the four seed it will be the
AFC South Division champs. Right now, that looks like the
Houston Texans. They've got a ninety seven percent chance of
making it into the playoffs at number five, the eight
and four Los Angeles Chargers a ninety three percent probability.
At number six, the Baltimore Ravens at eight and five
second in the AFC North, they have a ninety six
percent chance probability, and then the Denver Broncos gould win

(13:30):
last night, they've got a seventy six percent chance or
probability of making it in the next closest team is
the Indianapolis Colts at a twenty seven percent chance, which
really boils down to them probably finding a way to
win the division. I don't even know if they'll get
in as a wild card team, so kind of interesting.

(13:52):
And then it's the Dolphins at ten percent and already
eliminated are the New England Patriots, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and
the Loss Vegas Raiders. But the Jets, Titans, and Browns
and Bengals are on their way as well to be
eliminated on their way all right. In the NFC. Okay,
no one so far as clinched, as Jonas has just

(14:12):
pointed out Dians the Detroit clinching. The Detroit Lions are
a lead number one spot over ninety nine percent chance,
as are the Eagles at number two with over a
ninety nine percent chance. What's most interesting is what Jonas
points out. The Seahawks, who are currently in the lead

(14:33):
for the NFC West, have less than a fifty percent
chance of making it a seven to five. The Falcons,
who are currently in the lead for the NFC South,
have a fifty eight percent chance of making it. Then
you have the Vikings who are at over a ninety
nine percent chance, the Packers at a ninety seven percent chance,
and the Commanders who are the seven, eight and five

(14:53):
over a seventy percent chance. Kind of wild, but as
of right now, the Tampa Bay Bucket, Nears and the
Falcons have virtually the same probability of making the playoffs,
so they're they're fighting for that NFC South And then
the Cardinals are the next closest team the nine spot.
Now they've got a thirty nine percent chance of potentially

(15:16):
making the.

Speaker 6 (15:17):
Plus much not much further befus the Bears probability.

Speaker 5 (15:21):
Oh, the Bears are down at less than one percent.
They're not eliminated, all right. The only team to be
eliminated of the New York Giants at this point, but
the Panthers, Bears, Saints, Cowboys, and forty nine Ers are
all below ten percent lot and all close to being eliminated.
Now the Rams, which is why we're even on this subject,
they have a twenty percent chance at six and six,

(15:43):
so they're right there with the Cardinals as well as
the the Sattle Seahawks, all basically fighting for a divisional spot,
and that's probably gonna be it, and mostly because the
NFC North, you're gonna have the division winner, probably the Lions,
but then the Vikings and Packers will make it as well,
and then the Commandos. Unless the Commandos fall apart, it's

(16:03):
most likely going to be just to the division winner
from the NFC West.

Speaker 3 (16:08):
I do, by the way, the White Sox have a
better chance of making the NFC playoffs than the Bears do.
And I do like how Bears fans were poking fun
at the Carolina Panthers for that deal they made. And meanwhile,
the Bears are just a game better than Carolina, one
game better.

Speaker 4 (16:22):
One all that for.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
One game better in the midst of a six game
losing streak.

Speaker 4 (16:28):
Christ, they're bad. Well there you go.

Speaker 3 (16:31):
Who Now, if I had a preference of what teams
were going to go to the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (16:36):
Atlanta, you can take a hike.

Speaker 5 (16:39):
I want.

Speaker 4 (16:41):
Done.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
I'm done with them. I'm sick of it. I'm fed
up with it. They've burned me way too many times better.

Speaker 6 (16:46):
I mean, it would be the first time in the
history of the sport that I would say I wouldn't
even want one of those teams, not even the division champions,
like because the best of one of the better teams
in the North. I mean yeah, in the North, or
even in the South, or the East, the NFC East,

(17:06):
or maybe even the West, what maybe deserve to be
in it more than the winner of the NFC.

Speaker 3 (17:12):
Tampa Bay schedule down the stretch. As a joke, I
think Tampa Bay is going to win the division. I
think the Falcons are going to be on the outside
looking in. And no offense to our friends in Seattle.
I want Kyler Murray in the playoffs. I want to
see Kyler Murray.

Speaker 5 (17:25):
Yeah, but you just want to say that, so you're
right because you kind of mentioned that. To gain the season,
I mean, I'd rather have Seattle. I think they're a
more dangerous team offensively speaking. Their defenses continue to improve.
I would rather see settle. I think they're a better
constructed team to go win in the playoffs than Arizona Sea.

Speaker 6 (17:43):
I'm thinking the Rams. I'm thinking the Rams. That's what
I'm thinking. Go Rams, Yeah, ram all day?

Speaker 3 (17:53):
Yeah, ram that thing we have that, by the way,
is that song in the system, the Ramit all day,
Ramit all night?

Speaker 5 (18:00):
Actually instead, Lye, do we have the Dolphins touchdown sound?
We have a little bit of fence to the left,
fence to the.

Speaker 4 (18:05):
Right, tang.

Speaker 5 (18:06):
I'd rather hear that at this moment. I'm sure you
would to Lee, being a big Jimmy Buffett.

Speaker 4 (18:10):
Fan, I don't know. I was kind of filling the
rammt ram that thing.

Speaker 6 (18:15):
You know, you could use that in so many different
way fensive Lee left right, you know, I mean I
get it, but I mean ram it. Come on, man,
we can all jam the ram it Jesse to make
sure that fans don't even know the words.

Speaker 5 (18:36):
I don't think anyone really does. They're usually pretty buzzed
or burnout.

Speaker 4 (18:40):
Got them.

Speaker 9 (18:40):
Come on, Lee, come on, lean down from Cincinnati.

Speaker 6 (18:44):
We don't have to do with Miami. I don't know
that's a good point.

Speaker 4 (18:48):
The Dolphins.

Speaker 5 (18:50):
It was come on, Lee, where are you at?

Speaker 4 (18:54):
Man? He don't know the words? Come on, Lee saying
the words Lee, I can do the course. I don't
act like we don't this up.

Speaker 7 (19:00):
Lee.

Speaker 4 (19:01):
You're a Buffet fan. You better know these words. Jimmy
do it?

Speaker 6 (19:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (19:05):
Right, come on, come on, bring it on?

Speaker 6 (19:09):
And Lee?

Speaker 4 (19:10):
Can't you fear them circling? Honey? Okay we go, there
you go.

Speaker 3 (19:15):
Come on, come on, Finn's gonna miss the playoffs.

Speaker 5 (19:26):
Flex on on Lee's singing ability.

Speaker 4 (19:31):
There we go, Come on up top, jan j What
are you doing?

Speaker 6 (19:37):
Yeah? What are you doing? Turn this fins off? Unless
ram it that song? Come on?

Speaker 5 (19:48):
Then that's all we got. Huh did they play this song?

Speaker 4 (19:53):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (19:54):
Eric, You know everybody was trying to create their own little,
cool little song after the Super Bowl shuffled them back
to eighty five beers eighty five, eighty three eighty.

Speaker 4 (20:04):
Yeah that was Eric Dickerson.

Speaker 5 (20:06):
Oh this is.

Speaker 4 (20:08):
Like later, Eric Dickerson. Who else was on that team?

Speaker 8 (20:13):
Later?

Speaker 4 (20:15):
Eric Dickerson, I mean I just gave you that, all right, Everett,
There we go, Filipper Anderson dang ran Yellard.

Speaker 6 (20:22):
I mean the dance moves on this video, man.

Speaker 4 (20:31):
Last Rabbit terrible. Hey, it sounds like eighties poor music.

Speaker 3 (20:40):
Yeah, why does anybody go to our games? Because you
probably play this.

Speaker 4 (20:44):
Dang, everybody start going running for a bathroom? Yeah? What
so bad? All right? Your Rose and a Cup of Joe.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
Fox Sports Radio of Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knock, who
wrote the ly.

Speaker 4 (21:03):
Who was the ghostwriter for this song? Dale, who wrote
the lyrics for these dudes for this song? I wanted though?
Did he? I don't know? Let's log Let's.

Speaker 3 (21:17):
Right coming up next here it is Pete Prisco time.

Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here. Coming
up in a little over fifteen minutes from now, We're
going to close up shop with another edition of Lee's Leftovers.
Here from the Tiraq Dot com Studios. But right now,
speaking of Tuesday traditions, he's the one and only Pete Prisco,
senior NFL columnists for CBS Sports and analysts for CBS Sports.

Speaker 4 (22:05):
H Key.

Speaker 3 (22:05):
You can get him on x at Prisco CBS. Pete,
you smooth operator, you congratulations. You were right this entire
time about Kirk Cousins.

Speaker 7 (22:15):
You know, it's funny. It's he's playing so bad. But
I don't think you can make a change there. You
just can't. I mean, you can't throw Michael Pennix in
there when you're leading the division and trying to push
for a playoff spot, and I know people are pushing
for that. I can't imagine that would happen. But boy,
Kirk Cousins need to pick it up. And you know what,
It's funny he gets to go back and play against

(22:36):
his former team this week, which is interesting in itself,
but all you have to do is yell big game, Kirk,
big game, and they know what he's going to do.

Speaker 5 (22:44):
Wow, unbelievable, Pete. I mean, you can't just give the
guy and say he's a little bit of a slump
right now, justin Tucker struggling, kicking, I'm sure gonna say
about him?

Speaker 7 (22:54):
How what if Justin Tucker misses another one? Sit his
ass down? I mean, come on, give me a break.

Speaker 5 (23:00):
I mean, here's the thing is. Would you say Justin
Tucker is as good of a case as anyone to
make an Hall of Fame as a kicker?

Speaker 7 (23:06):
Yeah, he's been a great kicker. But we all know, Brady,
and you know you've been around the legue long enough.
When it goes rotten, it goes rotten and there's nothing
to get out.

Speaker 5 (23:14):
Let's pause there, because I really didn't want to talk
about kicking. I actually wanted to ask you about Rogers.
I think we'd both agree he's a first ballot Hall
of Famer. This season he has not looked anything close
to that. How do you summarize Rogers right now? What
would you do with him in New York? And what
do you think the future is?

Speaker 7 (23:34):
He's terrible right now and I don't know if he's
going to play anymore after this, And I mean, they
have to find a quarterback, there's no question about that.
But Brady, you're not wrong. I mean, he's been awful
and they hit a kick. But you asked me every
week which game that I was I on the wrongs,
was on the right side of it? Didn't have that?

Speaker 4 (23:53):
Was it all the same here, Pete? Same here?

Speaker 8 (23:56):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (23:56):
Yeah, right, they're going up twenty eight to seven and
the game's over. Yea. I was going to pack the
bags and start looking ahead to this week's game with Arizona,
and next thing you know, he throws it right into
the stomach of Leonard Williams. What the hell was that?
And I know he didn't see him, he dropped out,
But come on, you're better than that, Rogers. You're smarter
than that you're supposed to be And that was a
terrible play. So, yeah, Brady, he's playing awful football. And

(24:19):
I think this is the end.

Speaker 6 (24:20):
To be honest with you, what what type of situation
do you think Kevin Stefanski will find himself in going
into next season knowing that two years straight Pete, he's
had a backup quarterback give him better results than the
half of you know, the quarter of a billion dollar
man that they have in Deshaun Watson.

Speaker 7 (24:43):
Well, and that's been from what I heard. He didn't
want him in the first place, Deshaun Watson. That was
kind of mandated on him. The ownerships went out, went
out and got wanted Deshaun Watson. They get to Shaun
Watson and he's awful. He's a shell of himself, and
he wasn't that great to be I mean, look, he
was a little overrated in Houston to be in with.
But now he's a shell of himself and you're stuck
with him. So what do you do if you're Kevin Stefanski,

(25:06):
if you're stuck with him, you to sit him on
the bench. Absolutely you can if you're the head coach.
The question becomes, does Kevin Stefanski want to be the
head coach there? And if he doesn't, he would go
find a job somewhere else. He's a good football coach
and he was put in a terrible situation by ownership
by being forced to play that guy. Hey forced to
get that guy, trade for him, give up a ton

(25:26):
of assets, pay that guy, and then continue to play him.
And then they restructure him and give him a contract
that basically you can't get out of him. So it's
a terrible situation. I feel for Kevin Stefanski, but if
next year I wouldn't play him. He's not very good
and that's clear every that's evident to everybody who's been
around the NFL for a long time.

Speaker 6 (25:45):
Pete, is there saying that would go along with what
you just said? With Kevin Stefanski's situation? If I'm there,
you wouldn't play him, but you know, maybe you have
to plan. Is there any type of a saying that
would go along with that? Because you're as sayings, you
know what I mean. So I'm just curious if if
we're going to get a saying from you about the
situation Stefanski's in, you.

Speaker 7 (26:06):
Know, But let me think about it and I'll come
up with you. Put me on you put me on
the spot, LeVar. You know.

Speaker 5 (26:13):
Here, here's LeVar LeVar. Here's here's what we're looking for.
I want to ask you about the San Francisco forty
nine ers pee because I feel like they're in a
tough spot. It's it's gonna be the oldest roster in
the NFL next year. They've got to make a decision
on Brock party. In my opinion, I don't think they
can let it drag out. What would you advise the
forty nine ers to do in regards to brock Purty
with what signed into an.

Speaker 7 (26:33):
Extension heyamyam really and yeah, I think he played well
enough early in the season to show how good he
can be. I mean, this situation is terrible right now
for him, awful. I mean the left the left tackle
didn't play the other day when he last the games
and obviously he had a tragedy his life. God bless him.
But and hep you know, prayers for him and his family.

(26:54):
But when he's not there, a different lineup, and then
all the guys going in and out and Christian McCaffrey
going in and out. That's another thing. Christian McCaffrey hasn't
been on the field. I mean in his career. If
you look back at Christian McCaffrey's career, he's had a
lot of injuries that well.

Speaker 5 (27:07):
We've actually we've actually done a deep dive on this, Pete.
It seems like about the time he met Olivia Colpo,
his now wife, that like all of a sudden he's
seen the field less, which we one hundred percent understand
why that would be the case too.

Speaker 7 (27:20):
So yeah, wow, look at you guys. You went there.

Speaker 4 (27:24):
You gotta look at information because you haven't, Pete, Come on,
is your vision that bad?

Speaker 2 (27:31):
Pete?

Speaker 7 (27:32):
I really haven't. I just think that, you know, he's
so tightly. These guys over trained. It's ridiculous. Nowadays they're overtrained.
They're like Brady Quinny getting the gym and they overtrained.
Brady doesn't play quarterback anymore.

Speaker 5 (27:44):
He trains. I told them the other day, Pete, I
think I popped something in my quad. And I told
my wife and she's like, oh, you're being a woo
so you just don't play anymore, so you're not tough.
I showed her my thigh. You know how you start
to have like bruising where like pools or whatever. I know,
far you can you agree.

Speaker 6 (28:01):
Like, I mean, not on me, but yeah, when I
see my teammates like you, I can see those cruises.

Speaker 5 (28:06):
Anyway, like I wastes happen to your thigh and I,
what do you mean? I looked at it. It's like
there's like a huge you know, tom Yeah, like like
big like purple like basically where everything's drained out whatever
purple too. I was doing sprints like an idiot, and

(28:26):
I think I popped my quad. I don't want to
get sidetracked by this peak because we don't have a
ton of time with you. I do want to get
back to the party situation. If they were able to
let him go come in a free agency like who
would be the big Like where does he sign? Like
how much is he really getting paid on the free
agent market. I think he's valued probably the most in
San Francisco.

Speaker 7 (28:45):
I would agree with you on that. I think he's
much more valued than in San Francisco.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
I mean, I feel like they're a.

Speaker 5 (28:51):
Tough spot, Pete, depending on if they sign them or
if they don't.

Speaker 7 (28:55):
Well, they were in a tough spot when they draft
to trade lamps. That's why that was the biggest pun problem.
Then they kind of gotta gotta prepass on it when
he plays.

Speaker 6 (29:03):
So would you, I mean, would you say that they
can't win for losing in the situation that they're in
right now?

Speaker 7 (29:11):
You got to have a quarterback. I would pay him.
I'm sorry, I would pay him. And I used to
be I used to be in the campus just the guy,
and he's not. He's not just the guy. Bertie, what
are you trying to get me to say? Because they
want me to say it, I'll say it.

Speaker 5 (29:23):
It's not that I'm trying to get you to say anything.
You you obviously believe they should pay him. But we've
talked about quarterback situations before where teams are a tough
spot whether they pay them or whether they don't. As usual,
just saying that, you say that goes along with it.

Speaker 4 (29:36):
Yeah, very Chrisy.

Speaker 5 (29:44):
I mean, this is the fast scenario, pet.

Speaker 7 (29:46):
Because and by the way, and by the way, in
the majority of situations that's act.

Speaker 5 (29:54):
This is this is why I said this, Pete, because
watching Josh Allen the Sandfield is brought party and I understand,
like you lost Christian McCaffrey, there's all these other issues
I cost you. You go, I get it, But are
you telling me that San Francisco's supporting cast now isn't
like kind of equivalent to like the Bills, you know.
I mean, I know they've got Mamuri Cooper, they've gotten better,

(30:14):
But I just I look at it and I go,
you're never gonna You're never gonna look at a matchup
between Mahomes and Purdy or Allen and Purdy, or Lamar
Jackson and Purty and go, yeah, that's a level playing field.
You're always gonna say those teams have the advantage.

Speaker 7 (30:27):
Okay, that's true. I give you but you're talking about
the best of the league. Josh Allen's the MVP this
year compared Okay, when you look at Josh Allen Satua,
do you ever think that tuas in the same class.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
No.

Speaker 5 (30:37):
But I think that's also why a lot of these
teams have a hard time giving extensions because they realize, like,
we're playing with you know, not Josh Allen.

Speaker 7 (30:45):
Right, that's the thing. There's only are you win with
or win because of quarterbacks? That's the question. And Josh
Allen's a win because of quarterback. Patrick Mahones is a
win because of quarterback Joe Burrow. They don't win.

Speaker 5 (30:56):
So what's what's Brock Purty?

Speaker 7 (30:58):
Rock Party is a win with quarter of that probably mm.
But but again, what okay, what is Garret Goff?

Speaker 5 (31:07):
He's a win because of Now I mean, you could
have made.

Speaker 7 (31:09):
Chase he is in that system, he is, But what
sarak Goff went to?

Speaker 5 (31:14):
Uh? But come on, Pete, like you're really gonna you're
really gonna look at the talent of Jared Goff and
compared to Purty and say they're equal. I mean, come on, man, I've.

Speaker 7 (31:22):
Always been a big you know, I've always been a
big Jared goffuy. I always thought he was better than
people getting credit for but so no, if you're asking
me that, I think Jarack Goff is better than Brock Purty.
But but again, Rock Party did some things early in
the year where he proved the people that he could
carry the team if need be when things weren't going
well around them. I think, you know, one of the
things that gets overlooked in this whole thing is the
defense is stunk too. I mean, that was the calling

(31:45):
card for years. They're gonna be physical, they're gonna rough
you up, and they're gonna sack your court. But they
haven't been very good either, and so yeah, but I
do think you have to resign Rock Perty.

Speaker 4 (31:55):
By the way, Nice, I see what you're doing there.
I see what you're doing there. Pete.

Speaker 3 (31:59):
You're buttering up Rock Party and Iowa State, alum, because
you know what's about to happen this weekend. So I
got to ask the question, good call, right forks Up.
Is Arizona State going to be more than two points
better than Iowa State at the end of that game
for the Big twelve Championship?

Speaker 7 (32:16):
Yes, even without Jordan Tyson, they will be and I'm
worried about playing Iowa State because I think Matt Campbell
is a great coach. I really do. I think Matt Campbell.
I think the NFL they've come stiffing around him. I
go get him. I think he's a fantastic coach. You
look at his roster every year and a year out
and he does a lot with less. And so yeah,
I'm concerned about the game. Here's the other thing that
bothers me. Every bracket I see, every single one has

(32:40):
Arizona State in it. Do they forget they start to
play a damn game?

Speaker 4 (32:43):
I mean, come on, that's gonna be why they lead, Pete.

Speaker 5 (32:47):
The reason why they do that is because as of
right now, they're assuming like the favorites win in these
games and that's who gets in.

Speaker 7 (32:54):
They're doing, Brady, But I don't like it. The negative
me and the pessimistic heat of like seeing that. I
don't want to see it. But Pete, I tell you.

Speaker 5 (33:03):
If Arizona wins, will you make a donation Arizona States
athletic program?

Speaker 7 (33:09):
No I bought I bought. I bought a hockey jersey
when I was there for the Super Bowl. I'll wear that.
I spent. That's my contribution. I have Pete, come on, well,
you say this though, when they do get to Atlanta
for the championship game, I will be there.

Speaker 4 (33:26):
That's good, all right?

Speaker 6 (33:27):
Can I can I ask you your feelings on the
Trevor Lawrence hit. What was your what was your initial
reaction and did it change? Did it get worse? Did
it get better? Did you feel good about it? Did
you feel horrible about it?

Speaker 4 (33:39):
What? What was your take on it?

Speaker 7 (33:41):
It was a dirty phil hit. It was a dirty hit,
period and the story dirty hit it your foreum into
his genu is a dirty, dirty hit? Did I like
the way Jackson responded to it. I would have done it.
I would have got way past what they did. I
would once What.

Speaker 4 (33:54):
Would you have done? What would you have done, Pete?

Speaker 7 (33:57):
Oh? I would have Once Evan Ingram threw him to
the ground, he should have got on top of him
and everybody should have piled on and not let him off.
That's what they should They should have given him a
beaten on the ground, that's what they should have done.
And then and then when it carried over, there was
a punch thrown by Jaron Jones, the rookie God bless them.
I mean, you know what, he got fined. Who cares,
big deal, don't punch. And then it kind of carried

(34:17):
over what I didn't like a couple of things I
didn't like. I didn't like. I think the fans need
to stay the hell out of it and not throw
things on players. Get out of there. It's none of
your business what happens on the field. It doesn't involve you.
Don't prothink that players. No matter what he does or
how he talks to you as he walks off the field,
That to me is class list. And I didn't like
the way. You know, Demiko Ryans kind of I know

(34:38):
what he's doing. He's standing up for his player, but
he blamed Trevor Lawrence for the late slide and then
blame the sideline for it. Give me a break. He's
lucky that entire sideline didn't go over there and just
give that guy a bet. And here's the other thing.
Later in that game, grayvon Walker had a real chance
on the sideline to take one of those shots that

(34:58):
you look at it and you go, oh my god,
he could have killed him. As c. J. Stroud was
going to the sideline and he pulled up, and I
don't know if I would have had that in me
if I were him. I just don't And I never
want to see anybody try and hurt anybody. That's not
part of the game. You guys know that, but you
got to get a shot in it.

Speaker 6 (35:17):
There is a code of returning the favor though. When
you get one of ours, we're going to get one
of yours.

Speaker 4 (35:22):
I mean that. That is a code that most of
us live by.

Speaker 7 (35:25):
You're damn right, and I don't think Jacksonville did a
very good job in the second half of living up
to that code. I would have I would have taken
you know, C. J. Stroud after play, not gone at
his knees or on his head or anything. I would
have taken him and grabbed him and thrown him ten
yards behind the line of scrimmage and said message message served, Okay,
you can't do that to our guy. We're going to

(35:46):
do it to your.

Speaker 3 (35:47):
Guys fair enough, all right, Uh, Pete Prisco, we appreciate it.
Always always a fun ride with feed here on a
Tuesday morning at Prisco. CBS is where you can find
him on X. We'll do it again next week, Pete.

Speaker 7 (36:02):
Ali, guys in the playoffs. Let's go all.

Speaker 4 (36:05):
Right there, he is the great p Risco with us
here on Fox Sports.

Speaker 5 (36:09):
It took him so long to get there, but.

Speaker 4 (36:11):
So happy he finally did though.

Speaker 5 (36:13):
Yeah, I mean he's convinced though. Perty's the guy, so
I guess there's not really much of a situations his mind.

Speaker 4 (36:19):
All right. And you heard it.

Speaker 3 (36:20):
He likes Arizona State minus too, So there's a there's
a pick from Pete. It is Two Pros and a

Speaker 6 (36:53):
I mean, I know, what is a little ass kid
screaming about Santa come in to town.

Speaker 4 (36:59):
I don't give a damn that it's Michael Jackson.

Speaker 6 (37:02):
You got this little ass kid screaming that sand that's
coming to town.

Speaker 4 (37:05):
I ain't I don't like it.

Speaker 10 (37:06):
That is the point of Christmas. A kid being excited
to see Santa.

Speaker 4 (37:11):
It's just Michael Jackson when he was older, or is
a kid kid?

Speaker 6 (37:17):
I saw what you did there? Though I saw what
you did there, I can't really tell the difference.

Speaker 4 (37:22):
Is what you're trying to say?

Speaker 7 (37:23):
What happened?

Speaker 4 (37:24):
You know? Makes you wonder? All right?

Speaker 6 (37:26):
So listen to it this morning and the person was
talking about like getting the number and is the number real?
And all this other stuff and are you gonna call me?
Can I call you? And I thought it was a
woman the whole time, and then and then the person
was like, yeah, but now I'm a man and I

(37:46):
had to do man things. I was like, WHOA, Like,
this is a grown ass man. Sounded like a grown
ass woman. Yeah, but he was talking to a grown
ass woman. I guess, so, you know, I guess it
all worked out these days.

Speaker 4 (38:00):
It's all good, man. I mean, you got yeah, Okay,

Lee the lap? What do we got?

Speaker 9 (38:29):
Well, we get a fun, rare look at Actually Loraina
is leftovers because we have a live reaction to.

Speaker 5 (38:36):
So you have a voice.

Speaker 9 (38:38):
I don't know, man, I can't get it back, can't
get it back. I'm trying. I've been drinking hot tea.
But anyway, Lorena was at cousm last night, so we
have an actual report from the from the game.

Speaker 4 (38:49):
Oh my gosh, it was so awesome, ten out of ten.

Speaker 10 (38:52):
One of the coolest venues I've ever been to.

Speaker 4 (38:54):
Who'd you go with? I went with.

Speaker 10 (38:55):
Coop and a couple of his poker friends, and I
went with I invited my.

Speaker 4 (39:00):
Friend Justice to join us too. Whoa Yeah.

Speaker 10 (39:03):
So it was a nice party. It was a nice
party and it went really good at the very beginning.
The food was great, drinks were drinking.

Speaker 4 (39:11):
Was Coop al? What do you mean?

Speaker 10 (39:14):
His wife was sick. She was not able to join,
I know, but she texted us the whole time, so
she was practically there.

Speaker 4 (39:22):
You want to be the craziest thing. So I'm trying
to take.

Speaker 10 (39:26):
A group selfie, right like, I want everyone in the
photo with the screen behind us. So I put the
phone up against the corner of the booth and then
I go to reposition it and it falls in the
crack between the wall and the booth that isn't supposed
to move. I thought my phone was gone forever, so
they get it. I had to wait till after the game,
so I lost it in the first quarter. So I

(39:47):
had to wait till after the game. And one of
the guys came and he pushed it as far as
he could and reached He gave me his wedding ring.
He's like, hold this for me so I don't lose it,
and then I gave him a big old' hug when
he got my phone out, I was so happy.

Speaker 4 (40:05):
It was so great.

Speaker 6 (40:06):
The perks of the twenty twenty four version of Lorena.
