Speaker 2 (00:27):
Give this you're listening to Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
So I got to explain something to you, guys.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
I'm not a Boise, Idaho right now, and there is
what's what's occurring is called an inversion. It's hard to
explain or describe. The easiest way I could describe it
as like it constantly looks like there's like fog everywhere.
Oh and someone try to explain to me how like
it's like the clouds are upside down or something.
Speaker 3 (00:56):
I don't know. I haven't like looked it up or
researched it. Cloud be upside.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Down, dude, I have no idea. But it's hard to
tell what time of day it is. It just looks
kind of all like very very gray and not like
overcasts like a marine layer where you can't see the sun.
It's like if you looked off three hundred and forty
yards away, it looks foggy. It's like hard to see
past that distance. Like I'm not even sure how they
land planes through that stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:21):
But yeah, I mean it occurs when the air temperature
increases with height instead of decreasing.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
As what occurs in version? What you guys didn't know
you're reading it right now? What is off? I didn't
even know what cloud could be? Upside down? I can't
even get Wi Fi in this studio. I'm not reading
any of this is what is it? Read it? Read what?
There's nothing to read? Okays, just read it off. I'll
close my eyes and just and t say it out loud, Okay.
Speaker 4 (01:49):
Inversion weather, or if you want to call it, temperature inversion,
it occurs when the air temperature increases with height instead
of decreasing as is normal.
Speaker 3 (01:59):
So normally creases, which is.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
Odd because it feels colder than what the temperature has
actually stated because there's like a lot of moisture in
the air.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
It's crazy. Apparently it's been going on for like three
or four days. Though here, can you take.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
A picture outside the window and send it over? You know,
I feel about Well, it's still nighttime here, so.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
Yeah it is.
Speaker 4 (02:18):
I forgot your Yeah it's a mountain time. Okay, fair enough.
That's awesome, man.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
But like when I flew in Yestra, I was like, dang, like,
you can't really even.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
I don't know if it's a fog or how to
describe it, but it's the It's weird, man, It's eerie,
almost like something out of like a scary Marry Uh.
Not quite like erie, Pa, But they probably experienced some
some weather like this, and I'm not sure they get
the inversion though. I mean, I've I grew up in
the Midwest, I've never heard of this specific type of weather,
(02:51):
and now being out in it, it's just it seems
like there's like a bunch of fog, but it just
doesn't go away. It just hangs around.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
Is that like how it is in core Vallas? Every
time I would watch an Oregon Steak gave, it always
seemed like it was foggy and about to burst.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
Cloud. Lorena, you're from Oregon? Is corvallis like that? Gray?
Just always a cloud? Oh so cool? It's not cool.
I know white people will get depressed about that. Then
why don't you go move to one of them places?
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Damn?
Speaker 3 (03:19):
Like you've lived here your entire life, bro Like, Like,
I would never leave this place outside of the taxes.
That's it. It's the only reason. And if you're a
la person that trying to get me to leave, I'm not.
I'm just saying you love that. First of all, you're
chasing tornadoes. That's weird. Then you're talking about you love
(03:42):
the like gray days, Like what's the best you want
to be around gray days and rain and all that
all the time. It's because Brady the best. Brady told
me this.
Speaker 4 (03:53):
He's like, when you get a gray day, like mid fifties,
low fifties and it's foggy out, that's a perfect for
chili and an I p A.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
But every day you want that, I ever s want
some chili and the IPA every day. Does that sound
like it doesn't? I would say it doesn't sound like
something you'd say, Okay, Like.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
I don't even drink I pas. I don't walk around
going oh man, it's so happy or it is?
Speaker 3 (04:18):
You know, it sounds like somebody trolling, is what it
sounds like I understand, I just don't understand, Like you've
lived here in this beautiful weather, like this is like
we came in today, was that today? It was yesterday
and it was like, oh, like it's freezing out. It
was like sixty degrees And at the same time we
said it and it ain't asked and.
Speaker 4 (04:39):
I think it was like in forty nine, but in
comparison to what it is in other parts of the country, No,
it's not close.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
That's like this is like a warm up, Like this
is the warm up, like in fact, not not. Not
only is this not the this is like the best
you're going to get, Like this is it for it
warm up? I take it back. This is the weather
that the coldness we're feeling right now is the This
might be higher than the best you're going to get
(05:09):
on the East coast right now.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
When will it hit sixty degrees in the Midwest again?
Speaker 3 (05:14):
April it might hit. It'll do it the winter, yeah,
it will do it. Like and but the wind chill
and all that stuff and the like, bro it ain't
it's different. Like you you can run out here. You
could go out here and run right now. You'd be
like who's cold and you're running. It's like, I'm good.
You do sixty degrees and this at this time of
(05:36):
the year back east, your lungs are going like you'll
they'll they will be on fire. Like literally, you'll feel
the fire in your in your chest from running. Maybe
if you walk fast enough. It's wild. Man. I'm just
telling you, you're talking about you. I love it, like
how you love it. I want you to go live
(05:57):
in that weather for a year.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
I was gonna say, like he loves all the things
that don't actually involve him.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
Yeah, like oh, like hey hey, Lorena, like yeah, is
that what happening that? Like, I love it, Like, go
live in it for you. Trying to tell me doesn't
snow in Tijuana. I'm not around that. Oh it snows
in Tijuana. Please definitely Knowsjana Congression. It sure does. Snow
flurries all day long. It's all year long. From what
(06:26):
I hear from all that corn Bridge, I guess yeah
that too.
Speaker 4 (06:33):
So we've got some you know, interesting little uh coaching
rumors that are out there, some stories that have come
out when it comes to coaches.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
We talked about man hopefully involves the Bears or someone
Jonas roots for I had you know, how did you know?
Speaker 1 (06:48):
I just feel like, yeah, Lee, are you not having
as big of an impact in these rundowns?
Speaker 3 (06:52):
What's happening now? I think we're I think our run
down looks great. Yeah, buddy, I mean, hey, buddy, So
the Bears who are going to be looking for a
new head coach.
Speaker 4 (07:06):
If Thomas Brown doesn't, you know, impress with the final
few games of the regular season, apparently this wouldn't have
been an issue at all. Speaking to somebody who was
willing to be back in the Midwest and deal with
that climate as opposed to coming out to LA. That
guy was Jim Harbaugh. According to former NFL GM Micha Lombardi,
longtime host in Chicago Dan McNeil, Harbaugh was interested in
(07:29):
the Bears job last year, but it was Brady's buddy
Kevin Warren who squashed it. So if that's any indication
as to how this whole thing is going to go,
does feel like Kevin Warren is slowly, you know, kind
of taking over the reins there, despite what he says
publicly that Ryan Poles is going to get an opportunity
to take the next gig One of the other names
that's been thrown out there is Lincoln Riley. Lincoln Riley
(07:55):
apparently UCF has kicked the tires on hey, would he
be potential interested in leaving or walking away from USC?
And then there's been some people that have thought, well,
what about a coordinator job, Maybe takes off to go
be a coordinator elsewhere. It's whatever it is, and LeVar
you're here, and Brady you work with Matt Lionert and
(08:16):
you know people that root for USC. Something about the
Lincoln Riley fit doesn't work. It just doesn't and it
goes above and beyond. Petros has called this out from
the get go, but as this goes on season after
season and game after game, it feels more awkward and
it just feels like it would probably be best for
both sides that they just go their separate ways. Just
(08:38):
doesn't work. And the vibe is weird? Am I crazy?
Speaker 2 (08:42):
No?
Speaker 3 (08:42):
You are you like a weird vibes guy? Is that
where you are? I'm a weird vibe guy? Yeah, like
I have a web, I have a weird vibe right now.
And if I were comparing the two, I'd say, well,
I do think there's a weird vibe surrounding Lincoln rally
right now, Yeah, absolutely, yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
I think I think you have to go back to
look at Lincoln Riley's fast ascent into college football being
looked at as a as a head.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
Coach in the first place.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
So obviously his you know, time at Texas Tech extends
back to the Mike Leech era more of the air
Raid style and system. And then that doesn't necessarily mean that,
you know, he's not gonna be able to you know,
coach at various places or what or what have you.
But he kind of had a rapid assent to becoming
the offensive coordinator at Oklahoma. He had been at places
(09:37):
like Eastern or East Carolina you know before that had
some success. Comes to Oklahoma for Bob Stoops. Now, granted,
you know, they had great quarterbacks during the time he
was there. They were able to get great quarterbacks during
the time he was there. I've said this before. Oklahoma
probably was the best defense consistently, year in and year
(09:57):
out that they face, like every day in practice. Was
the best defense they faced all year until they got
into the playoff, until they got probably into the bowl game.
So he was able to kind of feast off of
superior talent versus inferior defenses in a conference that you know,
we talked about before, like didn't have many defensive guys drafted.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
Or it wasn't really known for that in the Big Twelve.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
And that eventually led to when Bob Stoops stepped down
for him to become head coach, and so he inherited
a program and this is maybe drawing a comparison to
Brian day an urban Meyer, but he had inherited a
program that had been a has been sustained, had been
consistent success at really really you know, high level in
(10:43):
regards to the Big Twelve, the Big Twelve championship games
and going to the playoff. So then you get to,
you know, what Lincoln Riley does well, he sustains that.
I mean, for the most part, they were able to
win the conference when he was there. They were able
to go to the College Football Playoff when he was there.
That they couldn't get over the hump, you know, they
weren't able to win those on my final games, but
they were still able to be a part of it.
So there was a lot of I think excitement and
(11:05):
you know, happiness for at least maintaining what Bob Steobs
had built. Now the problem becomes when he sees this
whole conference realignment that's happening Oklahoma going to the SEC,
and he's looking at it thinking, maybe this isn't built
out the way it needs to be in order to
be successful, and then he looks for greener pastures to
go to a place like Southern cow. You know, you
(11:27):
had to really rebuild that program, and he's got no
experience doing that whatsoever. So I think the hardest thing
for Lincoln Riley was he basically just did what he
did at Oklahoma think and that was going to work.
At Southern cal he brought over one of his star
studed quarterbacks who arguably led him to be able to
have in his first year success or at least a
(11:49):
shot at a Big twelve or excuse me, a PAC
twelve championship, And that was where all the intrigue really
came from. That was what the last you know, a
couple of years looked like was Caleb Williams basically fixing
a lot of the holes that were never addressed because
Lincoln Riley doesn't have much successfully building programs. So the
truth of the matter is like could u CEF be
(12:11):
a great fit, Sure, but they can't get out of
this contract. And if you're looking at USC and like
how they've struggled at this point, they've never been able
to build through the trenches. They are like teams are
coming in and purging the state of California, which especially
in Southern California is has ridiculous you know, riches of
talent there, but no one's afraid to go there and
(12:33):
recruit against them. So look, there could be more things
that play. You know, maybe the NIL is not set
up the way it should be or needs to be.
But no matter what you know it is, he's got
to figure out a way of actually building a program now,
and Southern Califians are gonna have to start being patient
with otherwise they're gonna be extremely disappointed in.
Speaker 3 (12:50):
The next few years as this thing moves on. Does
he make it far enough to do it? I mean,
I know you can't. It's like, how do you get
from underneath his com track and and and obviously what
you just explained is clearly you know, illustrating that. But
can I mean, can that happen? It seems like if
(13:11):
another season like this one were to take place next year.
Something has to happen. You can't. Someone's got to write
the check. And I get that.
Speaker 1 (13:22):
It's a new director. You know, she wasn't responsible for
hiring him. That was Mike Bone the b You don't
even know it was that guy. He's not here anymore.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
So if you.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
Find a lum that's ticked off enough for a number
of them, you can get together and you know, pay
that off, all right. But otherwise he's going to be
there and I don't. And he wouldn't step away to
take the UCF job. I mean, why would you do that?
Speaker 5 (13:47):
Like?
Speaker 3 (13:47):
Why would you sacrifice what you're getting paid at it? Right?
You know, powerful institution, the big time, right? You ever
noticed that? To me? If I could get hey, if
I could get you to give me that type of
contract and it's guaranteed, you gotta pay me when lose
a drawl. Hey you, Lincoln Rally, No, no, f you.
Speaker 4 (14:13):
I'll be on selling Sunset next week telling you man,
all right, So that's that's what you're gonna do.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
He has back full circle, got pretty good? Oh you
like that? You like that he brought a full circle?
That was what our one? Have you seen Lincoln Riley's place.
I've heard about it. It's not on sunset though, you know, actually.
Speaker 4 (14:35):
Yeah, that actually might not be far away, correct, Ah,
all right, that's correct, So it works right down the street.
Do you ever notice how USC coaches leave and it's
always an awkward exit?
Speaker 3 (14:46):
It is, all right? So usually bad breakups? Is it
their fault though, Like I mean, Lane Kivin kind of
got the shaft. That's not his fault where they chose.
Speaker 4 (14:54):
To fire him, so Pete Carroll, some people would say
he ran because of what was coming down the pike.
As far as punishments, dis yeah, fair enough. Lane Kiffin
got fired on the tarmac.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
He got fired on the tar. Steve Sarkesian was drinking
on the sidelines. Now he's killing its.
Speaker 4 (15:17):
Clay Helton bought a bum into the into the practice
facility and the guy was fielding was now Lincoln Riley
no shows rallies before u C l A games and
apparently would be interested in the u C F gig.
I just just feels like there's always like a really
awkward exit when it comes to when it comes to USC,
(15:38):
like the other programs, Hey just a better opportunity at
went elsewhere a USC it's like a problem in chaos
every time.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
How big or slapping the face would it be if
like could rally turned down what they were paying him
and chose to go to UCF instead of USC.
Speaker 3 (15:57):
I just why not. It's like, it's not gonna get Okay,
you're not gonna pay him what they're paying him.
Speaker 4 (16:05):
But it's not gonna get any better in the big
ten for them.
Speaker 3 (16:09):
Like they could it could get better. Well like what
like what uh Petros was saying, I totally agree with him. Listen.
It's it's a matter of what you're doing, how you're
doing it, in terms of what your appeal is to
the top recruits in the area. There are so many
(16:31):
five star, four star, three star athletes in this area,
a lot of linemen. More lineman than I had expected
when I got out here. But there are a lot
of linemen. And the thing about it is is if
you can get them to a concentrated place in area
and develop them, then you're going to have an opportunity.
(16:53):
Now I don't know about you know, and now with
the portal and all that, I don't know how all
that works. But I just know in turn of recruiting
and getting quality prospects to come to your school. USC
was always known for being able to get quality linemen
and quality prospects to come to the school. But like
Petro's highlighted when he was on the show, if if
(17:15):
the way you're running your offense and the way you're
doing things isn't something that's attractive to these programs and
to these prospects, they're going to go elsewhere. I e.
They're going to to to organ and they're playing for
the Organ Ducks, the top lineman, the top Like how
many they just get? They got like what fifteen plus
(17:38):
four stars or something crazy the amount wide I mean,
I'm telling you, And it's because they're they're they're appealing,
and they're using things that are appealing to the to
the prospects. And if if USC were to do the
same exact thing, if Lincoln Rally were to tap in
(17:58):
and understand that, hey, the things that I'm doing aren't
as appealing and attractive to these these top players in
the area, you gotta change that you got And I
don't know if he can or I don't know if
he wants to, but if you do that, you got
a better chance. USC should always be able to win
California period. They should always be able to win California.
(18:21):
Oregon should not be able to beat them and recruitment.
Their schedule next year is a little bit easier. So
their road games, Uh, Notre Dame that's a loss, Illinois, Nebraska,
Oregon and Purdue. No, yeah, I trending up.
Speaker 4 (18:38):
They get Michigan at home, they don't have to play
Ohio is trending up. They don't get Penn State, you
know who. They do get second game of the season.
They get Clay Helton in Georgia Southern at the Colleague.
So that could be interesting. As you said, No, I
mean Clay Helton. Clay held had a better record than
Lincoln Riley did thus far through his career at USC.
Speaker 1 (18:59):
So bring back the golf simulators, bring back the homeless return.
Speaker 4 (19:08):
So there's your your update on now Lincoln Riley in USC.
By the way, Eric b Enemy also keeping it local
in Southern California. He's out his offensive coordinator for U C.
L A.
Speaker 3 (19:18):
So he's gonna apparently he's going to go back to
the Oh that's so messed up. Huh what you mean, Eric,
the enemy's out? Why my name come up? Why me
I just you're part of the show. But why do
you say it so messed up to me? Why do
you say to Jonas just what he just said the news.
I know I'm trying to engage you into the conversation. Thanks,
(19:40):
just wanted to let you know that. Thank you. I
appreciate that. We want to let you know that. Johnson,
that's what I thought it was. Well, you know that's
where to go, you know, so I thought this was
I wouldn't not be considered to be black on black
crime though.
Speaker 4 (19:55):
Details getting the way here because the head coaches is
he's a black man.
Speaker 3 (20:01):
I'm just saying I do.
Speaker 1 (20:02):
Appreciate too that his agent came out it was like, no,
actually they mutually agreed to part ways. It's like, well no,
everyone's saying he got fired like it wasn't.
Speaker 3 (20:12):
It wasn't mutual. But I just I hate the fact that.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
Look, Eric enemy can be a good coach and he
can also have a hard time interviewing, a hard time
getting head coaching jobs. There's other coaches who fall into
the category where it took them a while to get
head coaching opportunities like it just.
Speaker 3 (20:31):
Sometimes it doesn't work out.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
I just hate the people that try to spin different
narratives because of it. But we've The hard thing for
Eric enemy now is after his time in Kansas City,
which they had a lot of success, by the way,
they've had a lot of success without him, he is
he's struggled. He' struggling in Washington, he struggled now UCLA,
and he's going to have to try to find a
(20:54):
way to pick up the pieces again to revamp his career.
And the hard thing is is he doesn't have Patrick
Mahomes and Andy Reid to help him with that revamping process.
Speaker 3 (21:05):
Maybe he'll go back to Kansas City.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
But the problem is is that if you ultimately want
to differentiate yourself because you couldn't get a head coaching
job then and if you ultimately want to kind of
build yourself up to be separate of that or identify
separate from their success.
Speaker 3 (21:19):
You can't really go back.
Speaker 1 (21:21):
I mean, if you do go back, you're basically kind
of just admitting defeat at that point and just saying
I'm just gonna wait for an opportunity to go somewhere
else where.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
Hopefully it works out and I get a head coaching job.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
Otherwise, you know, he's got to try to find a
way of getting to a place where he can go
have some stability, call plays, build up.
Speaker 3 (21:37):
That reputation again and have a shot of being a
head coach. Well, that's a that's a road, you know,
that's a road to travel. That's a journey. Geeth.
Speaker 4 (21:48):
Oh yeah, two pros and a cup of Joe here
on Fox Sports Radlow so high.
Speaker 3 (21:53):
You'd be so high one moment the next thing, you know,
you got to start all over like a lot of
times coaching like jing man, dang, gotta put it in
that wire, touch the wrong piece and we're wrong square
to the wrong block and the whole thing comes down.
By the way, not a person on the show could
beat me a jangle. I just smash you. Bring it in.
(22:13):
Not one person here could be I'm stone cold bro
smash you and I'll get that work. You play chess chess? Yes?
Do I look like I played chess?
Speaker 6 (22:22):
No?
Speaker 3 (22:22):
Yeah, please I play. I'll be Connect four. I'm not
great and connect four connect for you? Look get that
work too. No, I'll work you in bringing all the
games tomorrow. Jinga and Connect four. Yeah, I just got
a new Jenga set. All right, Well there you go. Well,
we won't be here tomorrow. We won't be here tomorrow,
but we'll do it Monday.
Speaker 4 (22:43):
Oh yeah, it is Two Pros and a Cup of Joe,
Fox Sports Radio coming up next here, though somebody in
the NFL is taking the blame for why their team
won't go to the postseason.
Speaker 3 (22:54):
That'll be yours here at FSR.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington, and

Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here. Coming up,
We are gonna have some Lee's leftovers in about fifteen
minutes from now here from the tire Rack dot Com Studios.
Big win for the Detroit Lions last night. They clinched
a playoff spot eleven straight wins. They are the best
team in the NFC right now record wise, and so
(23:32):
are on their way to potentially a first round by
and home field throughout the playoffs. Afterwards, there was a
mic inside the Lions locker room and Dan Campbell, in
the midst of celebrating the win, noticed that John Skipper's
offensive lineman was on a knee, looked like he was
having a little bit of a different Dan, Dan Skipper
or John John Skipper said, Dan Campbell was talking to
(23:54):
his team. John Skipper was on a knee, looking like
he was having a little bit of a hard time,
and it sounded.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
Like this, that's the way to step up, man, that's
a way to step up.
Speaker 6 (24:05):
There.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
You keep throwing up whatever.
Speaker 2 (24:07):
You're going up.
Speaker 3 (24:10):
On the line. Guys, I'm so freaking prop What is
he what he was? Legally he's about to yack? Yeah,
it's it's Dan Skipper. By the way, it's not John.
Did I say John? Why do I say you did?
Speaker 1 (24:23):
Is that baseball? I'm trying to help you out. Then
you're trying to correct me correcting. Isn't there a John Skipper?
There is a John Skipper? Yeah, John Skipper, baseball manager.
Speaker 3 (24:32):
Yeah, baseball guy. Right, Yeah, who cares whatever, We'll clean
it up in the pod. Easy work.
Speaker 4 (24:40):
That's Lion's football, baby. That's the Midwest. You guys sit
here talking about the Midwest. That's how it's done. Seventeen guys,
on ir and they just pound the football and get
after it and then go forward on fourth down five times.
Speaker 3 (24:53):
In a game and convert four or five is culture.
Man's culture man.
Speaker 4 (24:57):
If he misses on one of those in the postseason,
though he's he get crushed.
Speaker 3 (25:01):
They got crushed last year, But I don't again. When
you have the support of the army and the backing
of of what you have in the soldiers in the military, man,
you're good to go. Everybody else gotta fall in line.
They they, I mean, those guys subscribe to what what
(25:23):
Dan Campbell has created, what he's put in front of them.
They buy into it and they going, like the beauty
of when you're a team right is to stick together
and the good and the bad. You don't talk s
behind one another's backs to other teammates, don't you don't
(25:43):
you know, do anything that would take away from the
integrity of what we do and how we do it.
You know what you do. You be a stand up dude.
And when you're a stand up dude, people subscribe to it,
and they buy into it, and they trust you, and
they work they work better with you. They're not looking
at you funny, looking at you side eye having some
(26:05):
type of issue with you talking about last night again.
Not talking about Dan is't not his name is not coaching.
That is Dan Campbell. Dan Campbell. That's what I'm talking about. Okay,
don't be a bitch, you know, be a be a
grown ass man about what it is that you do.
Stand on the business or what you do, and people
will follow you, and people will listening to you, and
(26:26):
they will subscribe to what you do. And that's why
they win in Detroit because you got a whole bunch
of dudes that subscribe to it, and they become extensions
of what the what the guy the lead guy is
there you go. I'm with you. I mean, it makes sense.
It's kind of simple, it's not profound. So good luck,
good good job to Dan Campbell and in the Detroit Lions.
Speaker 4 (26:53):
Oh man, So you know who else is being a
stand up guy? That would be too a Tagovailoa, who
is accepting responsibility for the team being where they're at.
Speaker 3 (27:04):
I thought I was talking about you. I don't know, man,
it seemed like you were going off on a tangent there.
I wasn't that a tangent that that wasn't that wasn't connected.
That didn't make sense. No, I think you brought it
all around. Yeah, tied it up right, thank you.
Speaker 4 (27:21):
Would you guys like to hear to accept blame for
the fact that the Dolphins.
Speaker 3 (27:25):
He accepted the blame. Oh yeah, what he said too.
Obviously he said it so that we can hear it
on the radio, right, So it wasn't behind nobody's back
or anything like that. He said it, and it's like
going to it's a sound bite. That's my understanding. Okay,
all right, let's hear it. Let's hear it.
Speaker 6 (27:41):
I don't think that shows the character of who we
are as a team, doesn't show the work that we've
put in this offseason together. But you know, nobody else
will say it but me, and I feel like this
has a lot to do with myself obviously putting myself
in harm his way in the second game going down basically.
Speaker 3 (28:03):
Even my guys out to dry.
Speaker 6 (28:05):
That's what I would say, And anyone can have an
opinion about like, it's football, it's this.
Speaker 3 (28:10):
It's that you know.
Speaker 6 (28:10):
I do take take heart to that as well, and
still don't want.
Speaker 3 (28:15):
To do that to my guys. Again. I mean, he's
not wrong if he's in the lineup.
Speaker 4 (28:20):
You know, they're probably not going one in three in
those four and they're probably in contention for a wild
card spot as it is right now, they're going to
be on the outside looking in, And it's kind of
a those four games turn their season into a wasted
year with him not in THELANU crazy and people were
arguing whether or not he deserved to get paid.
Speaker 3 (28:39):
Well that's wild, I mean, but you got it. The
same thing that is the reason why they lost, is
the same reason why you got to ask yourself the
question why should I mean should he get paid? Right?
I mean, if we're being we's already been paid. Yeah,
But I'm saying if there was a debate leading up
to it, that would be the reason why you would debate.
Speaker 4 (28:58):
He was assaulted by Tomorrow Amblin on the field. We
all watched it, man, we all watched it.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
Wow, Like are I never felt like what he did
since he got into the league. From a playing standpoint,
I kept him from the contract. It was more of
like just the injuries, man, Like he had so many,
and there was concern about like, all right, you signed
him in this contract, give him all these millions and
then he has a concussion, can't play again, Like that's
(29:23):
a big risk for the owner, it's for Steven Ross.
But the crazy thing is is, again I'm not sure
what they would do once they would get into the playoffs.
But when you look at the other teams outside of
because Baltimore or Pittsburgh's gonna win the AFC North, which
everyone does needs to be a wild card, but outside
of that, man, like you look at those other two spots,
(29:44):
they easily could be a part of that group this year.
Howd he just been able to stay healthy? So kind
of crazy when you think about it, but that team
really does live and die by to a tongue of
a lower run this offense.
Speaker 3 (29:56):
And so good for him, you know, I mean, like
for him to be in the position that he's in,
he's he's taking the weight of what's going on. Like
that's that's a good thing. I still think that what
complicates it is to a tongue of low. Has proven
that he's going to be to a tongue of low,
just like we talked about with Dan Campbell. And if
(30:20):
that's what it's going to be, I still think if
you're the Miami Dolphins, you are in a very compromised
position because you are one concussion away from having a misseason.
And so how do you address that? Q if you
are the GM of the Miami Dolphins after this season,
(30:44):
knowing that y'all just paid him, how do you handle
the scenario going into this offseason as it applies to
your position that quarterback?
Speaker 1 (30:54):
I mean, I'm not doing much of anything, not doing anything.
I think they need a better backup. I know that
much like that was what I think became very apparent.
You know, you look at other teams, for example, look
at Baltimore and behind Lamar Jackson are other quarterbacks that
kind of fit a similar skill set. So the offense
isn't going to change drastically. You look at the Dolphins,
(31:15):
it's like, well, one, it's gonna be hard to fight
a lefty, you know, just to kind of keep the
contnuity with the type of you know, spin on the
football and all that, but also someone who can kind
of spit around the football the way too it can.
It's it's not easy. So that would be that I
would say that for a lot of NFL teams. You know,
for for some of these teams out there, they're woefully
(31:36):
prepared for their quarterback going down, and it's like you're
not investing that much into the backup, like you're talking
about I don't know, five six, seven, eight, nine, ten million,
like to have your guy, a quality backup, a guy
who can come in and actually get you through games,
win you games, or give you a shot to win games.
Speaker 3 (31:55):
I don't think that's too much to ask.
Speaker 1 (31:57):
And I feel like the decision that the Dolphins made,
you know, to not really you know, back up, you know,
to in that way before the season started, kind of
led to this.
Speaker 4 (32:08):

the number one most played Christmas song in Dublin, Ohio.
Speaker 1 (32:41):
That's not true, anyone Anyone who tries to recant that
the Mariah Carey Christmas song is a number one is
a liar.
Speaker 3 (32:53):
Really, we heard that number one, Rian Carrey, That's what
I was saying. She makes all her money off but
just singing one all I went for Christmas? Is you
right that's the name? Yeah, yeah, this is. But Jonah
said this is the number one saw so in Dublin.
Yeah it's not. Is this George Michael or is this WAM?
(33:15):
That's George Michael, George Michael, Wham, George Michael, both go
to and take away? George Michael. Do you have Wham?
Who is the other? Who else is singing? Who is
the other guy in Wham? Yeah? I don't know about
all that, And it's George Michael.
Speaker 4 (33:35):
I think the other guy. I think the other guy's
in WHAM. I think his name is Andrew Rigid.
Speaker 1 (33:39):
You're you're so good with names, Jonas tell Us, I
think it's I think it's I think it's Jake.
Speaker 4 (33:44):
Is it not Jake, it's Shake or Pat Andrew? Oh,
I know one of the two.

Time to find out what's Lap's lease?
Speaker 3 (34:25):
All right to Lap? What do we got? All right? Guys?
Speaker 5 (34:27):
TMZ has figured out what Diddy's Christmas plans are behind bars? Uh,
they've figured out from MDC Brooklyn.
Speaker 3 (34:34):
Who's gonna throw a free cough? Yeah, Well, they're just
gonna do a little modified version.
Speaker 5 (34:39):
Of it, different modified version. That modified version including some
friendly competition. They're allowing them to play some card games
Domino's a Spades competition as well as some three on
three basketball time.
Speaker 3 (34:51):
They're supposed to be allowed to do those things behind bars,
well on Christmas, I guess uh they make an exception.
They look the other way along with the soccer competition
that leads to like shiving and stuff like that. Like
it gets violent when you when you get into like gambling,
that's going to be gambling. That's why they card game
gambling and oh bro commissary, commissary. And if it's if it's,
(35:17):
if it's p Diddy involved, who knows what they're they're gambling.
I mean he might be able to put stuff on
your book, you know what I mean? Like, oh boy, yeah,
like that's protection, that's a that's a way to build
support while you're on the anside gambling for broomsticks. Whoa, whoa.
(35:37):
So it's going to be called the freak off Olympics.
Who cares? If it's Christmas you're in prison? Is it
every day to save? Do they stop and bring on
Christmas tree and the prison? My ass?
Speaker 5 (35:53):
His Christmas meal will include a baked cornish and macaroni
and cheese, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls, and a holiday deserve.
Speaker 3 (36:00):
Hell no greens on there, no no stuffing.
Speaker 4 (36:04):
What's the holiday desert? Like those little Debbie Christmas trees?
Speaker 3 (36:12):
But they ain't bringing them, no chit lins, man, I
don't get it. Yeah, wait, what are the pig intestines.
You know, some people had to eat chitlings back in
the day, and and now it's a delicacy. Yeah, you
guys wouldn't know that. Yeah, you wouldn't know anything about that.
You gotta make sure you clean them bad boys, real
(36:33):
real good. You gotta scrub them, scrub them real good.
Your culture, baby, yeah, you got you gotta be cultured. Man,
Go up in there, you go recruit one of them kids.
And then this Christmas dinner they eat some chit lids.
(36:53):
You eating it? If you get the kid, you eating them?
All right? Keep going league? What else? What else do
you ask guys?
Speaker 5 (37:02):
If you're looking for a new cologne smell for the holidays?
Miller highlights dive parfume, dive bar fume, not perfume barfume,
dive bar fume.
Speaker 3 (37:13):
It smells like a dive bar. Let me tell you something.
I was at an MMA fight many many years ago,
and a dude spilt beer all my wife and she
smelled just like a bar like she smelled like beer,
and I really wanted to kick his ass. It was
(37:36):
like really like it took every ounce of calling on
control to not body slam that dude. It was just
a random like he was a mark, like a straight
up mark bro, like an affliction T shirt. Oh bro,
he was a mark. And it was like oh yeah,
(37:58):
and he threw his beer when he did. It wasn't
me or my wife. It might have been me. It
might have been me, and your wife wanted to kick out.
I think it might have been me because I think
I said at them it's been a while, but I
think it was because I said if it were if
it had hit her, then I would have got I
think it was me. He got it on me and
(38:18):
I smelt like beer. Do you know who else?
Speaker 2 (38:21):
You know?
Speaker 3 (38:21):
You know?
Speaker 4 (38:22):
Boss Rooting is no Boss Routin's one of the old
time UFC fighters. I think it was the UFC heavyweight
champ at one time. And he has like all these
like funny instructional videos, but like a real badass, like
legitimate badass. And I guess he was in a club
or something like that and he accidentally stepped on Brian
Urlacker's foot and Irlacker like kind of got in his
(38:44):
face and one of Irlacer's buddies was like, hey man, no.
Speaker 3 (38:49):
That's not the one right there. Apparently they're like oh yeah, sorry,
about that because he's no, no, because her lakers a
big guy.
Speaker 4 (39:00):
He like was towering over this guy, Like no, that's yeah,
that's not who you won't have any incident with.
Speaker 3 (39:05):
So maybe he didn't want to have incident with Black.
It's a bad man, bro Back then. BJ Penn, by
the way, was the one who was fighting in that
that match out he's a good fighter. Yeah, well I
got some on now though, That's what I'm saying. It's
been a while. Seven was. It was like it was
prime BJ Pen, not not not current BJ Penn.
Speaker 4 (39:27):
And he stopped him stopped. He won the fight in Ohio.
It was in Ohio.
Speaker 3 (39:31):
It was in Ohio. I was in Ohio. Yeah, it
was cold out damn yeh. He won.
Speaker 5 (39:39):
That's uh, that's it for the weekend, guys.
Speaker 3 (39:41):
We he got ten seconds. Hey, wait till we go
off here to say that. Hey, let's wait till we
go off the air before we start talking about Lee,
all right, and let's do it so he can't hear us.
