you know, like they've just decided this is ours. We'll
just do what the hell we please.

Speaker 4 (01:40):
That isn't that ain't a lot.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
No, you can do whatever the hell they want. You
know what is taking over there? Now that we're on
the topic, mosquitoes. I got I got assaulted over the weekend,
like you.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
See Lee's arms. Geez, he got assaulted too.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Yeah, but here's what I don't understand.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
Your ankles though, they don't attack nowhere else, just your.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Ankle, only my feet and only my ankles. Weird, and
I don't get it. I don't know why that is Lee,
They attack his.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
They take his arms.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
Man, They going for that mean they trying to get
that's their their happy hour.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
Where are we going today? Lee's Lee's see it? There?
What time going?

Speaker 1 (02:29):
In?

Speaker 4 (02:30):
About an hour?

Speaker 1 (02:32):
Lee's left arm has Evan Williams half off till seven.
Get on in there, hey, Lee, Why is it only
your arms you get attacked. I have no idea. It's
just weird, like they just pick and chews, like who's
got an appetizing body part? Okay, we'll go with that.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
Lee's bites be so uniform though, you could tell they
think they sitting at the bar.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
Man. They just totally licked up.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Dang, you don't get you don't get mosquito bites.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
War or you dot mosquito bites? I do, I don't.
I I am the worst. I mean I use off
doesn't work. Use uh the lamps and the flames outside
doesn't work.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
You know? The worst out here are bees.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
They that bees like it's funny, like if you're scared
of dragonflies, they could be a nuisance too. But I've
never heard of a dragonfly ever in life hurting someone.
I never heard of a dragonfly bite, a dragonfly sting.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
They're cool. I think dragonflies are cool.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
So when I see when they come buzzing around, it's
just kind of like they're dragonflies. Like I used to
be scared of them when I was younger for some reason,
like almost like the yellow jacket bees, you know what
I mean, the ones that like chew chew the wood
or whatever it may be. Like, they're not they're not
you know, dangerous to us.

Speaker 4 (04:01):
But man, you.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
Get caught up, You get caught up out here. The
other week we had like out where out here where
I live, there are there's migrating swarms like certain times
of the day or certain times of the year. And
the other week I could send you guys a video

(04:23):
of it too.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
It's kind of crazy. Man. It's just like shot out
far out.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
It'll be a whole swarm of bees just going over
the pool and they'll land like on the side of
the house and you'll see outro out.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
Bro. I mean, it's like allergic, it's a whole swarm
of them.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
Yeah, and then they eventually roll out, they move out
like later on they get up out of there, you know.

Speaker 4 (04:49):
But man, bro, it's uh.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
If I see one, I freak out because I'm allergic.
I don't know how that's gonna go. And then you
saw that movie Migra on that Uh what's that? What's that? Uh?
That weirdo's name the Cooley Culki. Yeah, then he got
attacked by bees.

Speaker 4 (05:05):
Dang.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
I mean, dude, like, what do you like? Run faster? Okay?

Speaker 4 (05:09):
Run faster.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
Figured it out. And by the way, they always tell you,
like when it comes to bees, you just duck down
low on the ground, like you can't outrun them. You
just duck down lower.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
They're not going to outrun them. But as soon as
one hits you and you get that first sting, then
you start naturally flailing your arms and and they're like, oh,
we gotta get him. Yeah, like that's he's a threat.
She's a threat. You're a threat. Like you start swinging
the arms and it's like, oh, did he just try

(05:38):
to smash the homie like you already, let's get him.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Yeah. Their hyenas with wings, they don't mess around and
they don't stop. Yeah, I'm more scared of bees than
I am coyotes. Like like coyotes.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
Coyotes don't want to smoke now they don't. Yeah, they
really don't want to smoke from you. So it's just
kind of like them. Bees though, bees are come like
I'll be in my pool having a good old time
enjoying myself and one bee will just be like like surveying,
like I liking them to, like when sug Knight was around,
Like bees make me feel like I'm around Suge Knight.

(06:17):
Now you might be like, how is that the one
time I ever met sug Knight? Well, I met him
like two three times, But the first time I ever
met sug Knight.

Speaker 4 (06:26):
Them bees was survey in the block. Man.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
They came up that is in your face, checking you
out what you got going on, like straight up like
in your grill right and I'm sitting there like what
are you?

Speaker 4 (06:42):
And that's how bees are when you're in.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
Your pool, Like you get two or three of them,
they survey the whole pool, get up in your face,
this and that, and depending on how you react to
them is what happens.

Speaker 4 (06:53):
Ye, if you.

Speaker 3 (06:54):
Swat at that one b that bee will go away.
And it's coming with like a hundred of them. Yeah,
Like yeah, man, I was out and the block is
hot right now, you know.

Speaker 4 (07:07):
Dude, we're swinging that.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
It's like on white men can't jump with The guy
gets beat and then goes to the glove box to
go get his gun to go rob the liquor store,
to be I'll be right back and I'll be right back,
and he gets his hand cannon out because would you
take that off?

Speaker 3 (07:27):
What do you do to knew who he was, So
that's the funny part. Let's send you a video of
these these bees. I'm telling you they they are. They
are very sophisticated. They are super they are super smart. Man,
they are super smart.

Speaker 4 (07:43):
So not into it neither.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
Well, So we also discussed Jordan Love. He's not going
to be a training camp practice for the Green Bay
Packers until he gets his new deal done. So that's
the But the feeling there is that they are close
to getting some sort of a deal done and a
contract extension is expected to be finalized here in in
the next few days, could be as soon as today,

(08:08):
So it feels like that's going to get no harm,
no foul, no issue whatsoever. On the other hand, Jamar
Chase and the Cincinnati Bengals, Jamar Chase is in line
for a contract extension. He's been fantastic as the first
round pick for the Cincinnati Bengals. But if you listen
to Bengals President Mike Brown, eh doesn't feel like we're

(08:28):
going to get anything done anytime soon.

Speaker 5 (08:31):
With the cap and how it works, it's a little different.
Things can happen, opportunities can arise unexpectedly, even and you
can put deals together We're not going to say, oh no,
we aren't going to do that deal. If it's the
right deal, it's not so likely that this is the

(08:56):
good time to negotiate. The off season that's a better
time for that, and we're going to try to keep
focused on the football part. So I'm not going to
rule anything out, but I will tell you that day
has probably been cast.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
So yeah, yeah, basically the deal. So I was kind
of thinking about this. Jamar Chase, Jalen Waddle, Davante Smith,
Alm and Ross Saint Brown all from the same draft class,
except Jamar Chase is the only one that doesn't have

(09:39):
a deal yet and it doesn't look like he's going
to get one this year.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
So draw the wrong went to the wrong franchise.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
It's gonna do you think?

Speaker 4 (09:48):
T J.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
Huschmanzada is like, hey, man, like I was there, you know,
I listen, I know, I know exactly how that goes.
Like I just I look at it. I'm like, man,
if you're Jamar Chase, like you're like, come on my hair? Well,
and also what are my options? Like you don't have any?
He can't hold out.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
Your option is to play. That's your option and play well.
Play well and stay healthy, and you're going to get
more money the next go around than you would have
got this go around. But now I'm like, what what
year is he going into?

Speaker 4 (10:26):
Is fifth year, fourth year, fourth year?

Speaker 3 (10:30):
It could it's possible that it might not end well
for him. There's a possibility that it just might not
end well for him in Cincinnati because how how do
how else do you, like, how do you play pay Burrow?
How do you maintain your which they can, they can

(10:53):
maintain all of them and give them all the money
they want that they're looking for. But that's just not
how they do it in the Bengals organization. There's certain
organizations that don't do it. And Q would speak to
this way better than I would, but I mean, you
look at certain teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers, there's just

(11:13):
certain teams that they do not give those types. They
just don't pay people. They don't And it's like, it's
been wonderful knowing you, it's been great having your service.
You will go down as one of the greatest players
that have ever played for our franchise.

Speaker 4 (11:34):
But we're just not going to pay you. We're not
gonna pay you.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
And Jamar Chase happens to be a part of one
of those organizations.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
I mean, that's that's just not ideal at all. And
I'm sure he probably thought when he sees all these
guys from his draft class all getting contracts, like it's
it's not even just like the first round picks, not
even just like DeVante Smith or Jalen Wattle. It's like, dude,
I'm gonna ross Saint Brown. What a fourth round pick?
Whatever he was, He's got his deal done, and Jamar

(12:05):
Chase is looking around going, dude, I just came off
arguably the best season of my career from a reception standpoint.
He had one hundred grabs last year. He's never done
that in his career, arguably the best season of my
career while our starting quarterback was out, and still there's
been no discussion. Like I can understand the T Higgins

(12:25):
situation because I looked at it and said, Okay, well,
you know, maybe they're not going to sign T Higgins
to a long term deal because their feeling is Jamar
Chase is our priority. We're getting him done, and then
T Higgins will play out the year on his franchise
tag for twenty one point eight million, and then we'll
cross that bridge and we get to it, and neither
one of them is getting a deal, apparently according to

(12:46):
Mike Brown. So I just wonder if maybe Jamar Chase
just says f this and he holds out and maybe
maybe takes that approach. But I don't know if that's
the organization that would.

Speaker 4 (12:57):
Would budge on it.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
Yeah, Jay, you know all right, Well you saw what
happened with Le'Veon. Like you know, we're in the AFC
North too, so you could get it too.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
Yeah, that work.

Speaker 4 (13:10):
That work.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
By the way, you did send over the video of
those bees at your house.

Speaker 4 (13:14):
Crazy.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
Yeah, I'm out.

Speaker 4 (13:16):
I wasn't lying to you, wasn't see you.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
And that looks like is there a beehive there? No,
that's right about.

Speaker 3 (13:23):
Real right above the grill, just where they that's where
they chose to set down.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
That's where they have their recess and then they go
back to class later on. Like, is that is that
how this works? That's what I mean.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
But here's what's crazy though. You'll be in the pool. Now,
you got to see how the pool is situated. You'll
be in the pool. One of them, one of them
will come mess with you, like I said, like the
sugar night, they'll come mess with you. Check the block
before sug comes. And I'm assuming, I'm I'm assuming. I

(13:55):
could be wrong, but it's the queen bee in that
because that is an entire swarm of bees. So before
that queen makes a move, they want to see if
there's any type of like danger, like or is anybody
coming our way down to die? They come out, You swing,
if you swat at them, they come back.

Speaker 4 (14:14):
And it be a gang of them.

Speaker 3 (14:16):
Yeah, you almost like you gotta go underwater for one,
Like if you're I think, I think, if you're smart,
you go underwater. You drop underwater, and you look up,
look up out of the water, and you see if
they move back, they start touching down on the water,
like start hitting the water, and then they fly off
and then it's like a reset like and then I'm

(14:37):
turned off, like I'm coming inside, like why.

Speaker 4 (14:42):
Ain't these torches working? Why why isn't the off working?
Does it work?

Speaker 1 (14:47):
Yeah, blow torch would be the way to go for me.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
I mean, And then the idea that you want to
save the bees because the bees are so they're like
the most important.

Speaker 4 (14:56):
Aspect of our ecosystem like.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
It's I don't know, man, that's cool. Why it's quite
the dilemma is what I'll say.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
It certainly is. By the way, Lee, isn't there a
Jason Stay the movie called Beekeeper Out or something like that.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
There is there's some.

Speaker 6 (15:12):
Oh yeah, yeah, that's uh.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
Is it about an actual beekeeper or is it like.

Speaker 6 (15:18):
He it does actually keep bees, but he's also the beekeeper.
He maintains the hive text the.

Speaker 4 (15:25):
Hive, so he's like the king be.

Speaker 6 (15:30):
He's a worker bee. But it's one of those movies
that's so bad it's good. Okay, you can make a
good drinking game out of it. Every time he says beekeeper.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
Probably make a drinking game out of everything. I'll being honest.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
Why we have a brand new podcast called over Prosed.
You see, we're having so much fun in our two
hour show. We never get to everything, honestly, because this
guy is over promising things we never have time for. Yeah,
you blubber listen, Jam and me. Well, you know what
it's called over promise. You should be good at it
because you've been over promising women for years. Well, it's
a Covino and Rich after show and we want you

(17:18):
to be a part of it. We're gonna be talking sports,
of course, but we're also going to talk life and relationships.
And if Rich and I are arguing about something or
we didn't have enough time, it will continue on our
after show called over Promised. Well, if you don't get
enough Covino and Rich, make sure you check out over
Promised and also uncensored by the way, so maybe we'll
go at it even a little harder. It's gonna be
the best after show podcast of all time. There you go,

(17:40):
over promising. Remember you could see it on YouTube, but
definitely join us. Listen Over Promised with Cavino and Rich
on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get
your podcasts. It is a two pros and a cup
of Joe. Here on Fox Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington, Jonas
Knox with you here coming up at about twenty minutes
from now, We will close up shop with another edition

(18:00):
of you any You out that'll be yours here on FSR. So,
Jerry Jones has this introductory press conference he has every
year in Oxnard. Some would call it an Oxnard depending
on who you ask.

Speaker 3 (18:14):
UH.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
So it's got this, you know, the opening news conference
is where he kind of you know, meets the media,
talks with everybody. You know, Clarence Hill's there, Jane Slater,
everybody else is there just sort of in Oxnard and
Jerry Jones talks about the state of the team. There's
a lot to talk about. Unfortunately, though, the uh introductory

(18:36):
press conference for the season with the media, it's going
to be delayed until Saturday. It was supposed to be
this Wednesday. It's going to be delayed until Saturday because
he's still got this court case ongoing over the paternity
test or some sort of an issue that's still kind
of dragging on and on and on and again. That's
Jerry Jones's business, so you know, we don't need to

(18:59):
go down that road. But it just goes into another
layer of me at what lengths.

Speaker 4 (19:07):
Do people go to?

Speaker 3 (19:08):
I mean, that man is old, like, leave that old
ass man alone. On some of that, like are you serious,
like give it a rest.

Speaker 1 (19:19):
So geez, So, Jerry Jones has got this paternity lawsuit
issue thing going on. That's got the preseason media conference
session whatever you want to termament delayed. You've got Dak
Prescott who still doesn't have a contract extension. You got

(19:41):
CD Lamb who still doesn't have a contract extension. He's
not going to be there. Micah Parsons deserves to get
paid him and Mike Zimmer may not be getting a lawn.
Mike McCarthy is apparently fed up with the way things
are going. We're not even at training camp yet, and
this is everything that's on the table. What do you
think's going on there? And also, by the way this is,

(20:04):
you know, Michael Parsons might have you know, a little
bit of an issue with the teammate who kind of
criticized him for for his podcast, you know, the the
Malie Hooker and uh and Michael Parsons might have to
have a discussion as well too when they get to
talk star Like dang, that just feels like a lot
going into the season that has really nothing to do

(20:26):
with actual on the field winning games this season, Like
it just seems like there's a lot of noise there.

Speaker 3 (20:33):
Yeah, ultimately is usually the reasons why teams fail is
culturally speaking, what does that look like? And and that
to me, I just you know, I say to myself
self when looking at this Dallas Cowboys team and what

(20:56):
their season could possibly be and how it could possible
you know, kind of unfold. We went through the we
went through the teams earlier, and in the NFC East,
there's probably only going to be one team that will
stand up to them. That's Philadelphia. I'm not sure what
Dan Quinn is going to do in a year with

(21:17):
the Washington Commanders, but they could possibly be a much
better team than what they have been. That that still
remains to be seen. But when you look at the
rest of the NFC, and I said earlier, it's probably
going to be easier to get through the AFC for
the Chiefs, let me retract that. I will I will

(21:38):
retract that, I'll apologize, and I'll say it's probably going
to be easier to get through the NFC than it
will be to get through the AFC, to get to
a conference championship and get to the super Bowl. And
it's probably going to be between three teams San fran
Philly and Dallas. The rest of them, well, add I'll

(22:01):
add the Detroit list because I think Detroit is better
than Dallas. But if I'm putting them in order of
the teams that can come out of the NFC, I'm
going with San fran Philly, Detroit, and then Dallas, and
maybe Detroit could be number two outside of Philly. But again,
green Bay. I thought green Bay finished strong. I thought

(22:23):
there were a lot of great things to take away
from green Bay season. But I think that I need
to see them do it again before I could trust
them to do what it is that they need to do.
And the rest of them, they're just all question marks.
So I say all that to say the NFC is
for the taking. And you have a roster in Dallas

(22:46):
where if you had all things given, everybody's happy.

Speaker 4 (22:51):
Kumbai, y'a. You have a healthy environment, a healthy culture.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
You have a franchise quarterback, you have a franchise receiver,
you have a franchise defender, and you have other defenders
on that side of the ball that are perennial All
pros and Pro bowlers.

Speaker 4 (23:10):
You get you get Diggs back this year.

Speaker 3 (23:15):
There's no reason with a Super Bowl winning head coach
and this roster, that there should be any real issue
with this team being able to compete against the top
teams in the NFC for the NFC crown. But yet
and still they continue to underachieve with all of these

(23:39):
these factors that are involved. And when you ask yourself
the question why, it's because it's more show than it
is substance. It's more entertainment than it is accomplishment. And
that's something that has been a part of this team

(23:59):
since the glory days of the three headed monster of
Michael Urban, Emmitt Smith and Droy Aikman.

Speaker 1 (24:05):
What if the year if this is the year they
finally break through when it looks like the most daunting
from a drama standpoint, with just I.

Speaker 3 (24:17):
Just don't I just don't see how that works. I don't, like,
I've never heard of a team being full of drama
and they go win.

Speaker 1 (24:26):
Did you have a when you were in Washington, was
there situations like this as like right as you got
to camp where it just started, everybody off on the
bad foot, are on the wrong foot. Rather because everything
was about non football related issues, contracts, you know, paternity tests, whatever, I.

Speaker 3 (24:44):
Would say no, I would I would say no, But
our culture internally was the erosion process had already started.
It had started when Dan took over. And then what
we thought was a great move. I thought it was
a great move at the time. I just didn't know

(25:06):
that the way things were being handled would make the
wheels fall off of off of the cart. But you
bring in some amazing free agents like you bring in
Bruce Smith, you bring in Dion Sanders, you brought in
Mark Carrier, you drafted me, you drafted Chris Samuels. It

(25:28):
looked as though the man literally what they said he
was going to do. It literally looked like he was
buying a Super Bowl. The only problem there was is
that that corrosive culture that was developing under Dan Snyder's
lead first started with the coaching staff.

Speaker 4 (25:51):
That's where that's that's where it first hit.

Speaker 3 (25:54):
Like, if we're talking about gout attacks on the joints,
the coaching joint was the first joint attacked that ruined
the culture.

Speaker 4 (26:04):
Why is that relevant in this conversation?

Speaker 3 (26:08):
What did we just hear not too long ago, Mike
McCarthy's tired of the meddling and undermining of the ownership.
That's exactly what was taking place in DC. If players
can surpass you as the coach and go straight to

(26:31):
ownership and say what you're thinking and how you feel
or you know what the scenario may be, then that
coach is limited. And when that coach is limited, you
see the results of that play out and you see
the team. And that's what's playing out in Dallas. Whether

(26:53):
people know the entire story of why, who, how, and when,
whatever it is, the bottom line that's taking place in
Dallas is the owner is the biggest He is clearly
the biggest reason why this franchise cannot get over the hump.

Speaker 4 (27:14):
And and for better or for worse, people love it.

Speaker 3 (27:19):
They love the entertainment factor of what Jerry Jones brings
to the table. It's almost like they're the one franchise
where it's okay, it's it's acceptable for them to come
up short as much as they.

Speaker 4 (27:32):
Die do too.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
I can't get enough of it. They're really it's just
that the whole thing is because he's done such a
brilliant job of marketing the team. And look, I mean listen,
like there's a reason why the Chargers and the Rams
are in La Jerry Jones is the guy who got
the vote to go the other way. There was another
stadium deal that was approved. I think it was Carson.

(27:55):
Jerry Jones went in afterwards, talked with all the owners
and said, are we really doing this like this? Like
you guys, let's think about it like this. He got
every like his influence and impact on the league's why
he's a Hall of Famer, And it's he just like
they keep rolling out like really good teams just not
quite good enough yet get more covered than anybody else
in the league, maybe anybody else in sports. Like what

(28:18):
other franchise in sports gets covered as much as the Dallas.

Speaker 4 (28:21):
Cowboys, Like, uh, I don't think there is one. Maybe
the Lakers, the Lakers, maybe Dodgers, maybe the Yankees.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
It's the Cowboys, not I don't know the Cowboys.

Speaker 4 (28:35):
And they've the Cowboys.

Speaker 1 (28:36):
They haven't been doing an NFC title game in thirty years.

Speaker 3 (28:41):
The most irrelevant irrelevant, the most relevant irrelevant.

Speaker 1 (28:45):
Yes, it's it's brilliant, like brilliant, it is brilliant. It's
just uh and Jerry Jones somehow figures out the pull.
But you know, if you want to hear from him,
gonna have to wait a little while because they got
the paternity thing going on.

Speaker 4 (28:57):
You know, slinger, no big lang in it slanging.

Speaker 1 (29:03):

their way to the pros, all the way from high

Speaker 4 (32:24):

Speaker 4 (32:35):
I thought Bronnie was going to end up on the
Olympic team.

Speaker 1 (32:39):
Oh, that would have been sweet.

Speaker 3 (32:42):
Then, especially when Kawhi Leonard went out with that injury.
I was like, Oh, they need a defensive specialist. Bronnie
gonna get him a gold medal.

Speaker 1 (32:50):
He wouldn't. He would have given them South suit and
some work.

Speaker 4 (32:53):
I mean, think about it. They're gonna win anyway, right,
might as well throw Bronnie on there.
