Maybe maybe while you're watching, you know, the game, every something,
you just stare at them.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
Really strange.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
Yeah, clouds and what Kanye is gonna be there, that's
the other big story.

Boat we're hanging. Yeah, your favorite combo is the pizza
flavored one, right, It's always the best one. Yeah, great combo.
You know what I say. We have a lot to
get to there. As a deep thought, we had about
when the waiter or bartender tries to take on too much.
We're gonna get to that, but I say, let's dive
right in head first Pete Rose style.
Speaker 4 (03:18):
You're pumping door, flopping around. Let's do it. Uh.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
Seal and Debo we caught up with them like an
hour ago.
Speaker 4 (03:25):
It was fantastic.
Speaker 3 (03:26):

Bahah.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
See you'll okay, you're not compare you to a kid.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
All the bab you did it do the Baja, but
they changed it to the because I think they should
have went do.
Speaker 5 (04:11):
Do Do Do.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
Doude for Mountain dew. But hey, I'm not yeah exactly.
Thank you guys for being here. Man, it's a pleasure.
You know, it's one of the greatest songs that ever was.
You know that Thank you. Are you excited that it's
going to be introduced to a whole new generation of
younger people. It's never gone away, but there's gonna be
young people watching.
Speaker 4 (04:32):
Yeah, I am really excited.
Speaker 6 (04:34):
And it's it's it's a lot of the reason why
I did it because you know, the Mountain Dew is
synonymous with the Super Bowl. It's it's you know, they
have a historical relationship, and it was an opportunity to
make people laugh, make people smile, and and also you know,
I drink mountain dew Baha blast myself, and so it
was an easy Yes.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
Mountain It reminds me of my late night Taco Bell run.
I was gonna Mountain dew little Bill with Baja blast. Yeah,
the baja blasts I talk about. I always kept that
He's got the mountains. Do that, yo, deebo. I gotta
ask you, as a big Niners fan, you got to
be anxious to just run it back. I mean, it's
the team is too good for what happened this year?
Speaker 7 (05:14):
Yeah, feel this way, Yeah, definitely is. But you know,
with this league of injuries for sure. We can't sit
back and harp on you know, we lost this game
because we didn't have this person. We lost this game
we didn't have this person. Like I've sat back and
watched this team win win games with you know. Yeah,
a lot of the stars that we have on our
team hurt, So I mean, we can't sit back and
blame that, but they definitely play a part in it.
(05:35):
But overall, you know, definitely anxious to get back, Definitely
anxious to get back to work with all the guys
for sure. Just you know, we got to ship on
our shoulder, Like this is like my real first year
not making the playoffs since I've been a Niner, and
it just feels so weird just to sit back and
just sit back ereson and be like, yo, yeah this
team is playing with normally, you know, we'd all teams
that's always knocking look.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
At these teams, thinking if we were full strength, we'd
whoop all these.
Speaker 7 (06:00):
I mean, there's a lot of it is, but we
wasn't there. So we just we just we just get
ready for this year.
Speaker 4 (06:04):
We're talking to you, dude, Fred Warner the other day, and.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
I said, as a fan and as a guy on
the team, and we were feeling the same thing every week.
It was like, all right, next week is when things
turn around. It just never never happened. But next year,
with everyone healthy and Leva is next here, it's going
to be a homecoming. You to do it, y'all, seel
Is it is it fun to work with Debo on
this campaign.
Speaker 6 (06:24):
I've been a fan of this guy since he was
at Carolina, So yeah, he's you know, he's It's great
to be standing next to.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
Someone I've admired.
Speaker 6 (06:34):
I'm a frustrated athlete myself, and just to be you know,
to finally meet Debo and and and tell him about
all of the great moments that I've enjoyed watching him create.
Is It's been special to do it with Mountain dew
is amazing.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
What we find awesome is the mutual respect. We talked
to a lot of you know, superstars in the music world.
They admire athletes, and athletes admire people in the music.
Speaker 6 (07:01):
Sport is sport is an allegory for life. I think
that's why people connect with it so much. You can
see a lot of the daily trials and tribulations and
challenges that we go through in life.
Speaker 4 (07:13):
You can see them being played out.
Speaker 6 (07:15):
On the football field, you know, or whether it's on
a tennis court. It's you're you're watching life on fold.
And to see an athlete transcend something that has been
holding them back, you know, it's it's a reflection on life.
Speaker 4 (07:28):
And so that's my connection with sport.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
Well, see, I could tell you you're probably a great athlete.
You're a big dude.
Speaker 6 (07:34):
No, no, no, I'm a frustrated athlete. Like I'm not
a great athlete. I mean but I try, you know,
and that's that's important thing.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
But debo, is there an artist inside?
Speaker 4 (07:45):
Man? Can you sing?
Speaker 1 (07:46):
Are you any good at any instruments?
Speaker 4 (07:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (07:49):
Yeah, yeah, I mean I gotta I got a little
voids on me. You got a little little So was
there a part of you growing up that you're like.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
Man, I don't want to know, always athlete from day one?
Speaker 1 (07:58):
When did you realize that at a very young age?
Speaker 4 (08:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (08:01):
So I kind of started playing tackle when I was
like four years old.
Speaker 4 (08:04):
Cool, So that was it? Yeah, that was it.
Speaker 7 (08:06):
My dad was my coach for a long, long long time,
and you know I always played with the with the
kids that.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
Was older than me. For it's like my brother and
all that stuff.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
The same question for you cel, like did you know
like I'm going to be a singer at an early age.
Speaker 4 (08:18):
And was going to be a tennis player tennis before.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
Yeah, so at first it was I wanted to be
a tennis player.
Speaker 6 (08:25):
I didn't going to be you know, I had I
had a teacher at school, mister Wren, and I idolized him.
Speaker 4 (08:35):
He was a cool.
Speaker 6 (08:36):
Teaching of all the cool clothes, like everyone took. Everyone
wanted to be like him. He was different from all
the other teachers, and he sang, you know, he was
a singer. But then you know, he got a real
job as a teacher, and uh, I kind of started
singing because I guess I wanted to be like him.
Speaker 4 (08:53):
And he put me on stage.
Speaker 6 (08:55):
When I was eleven at the parents and teachers associated
evening to sing a Johnny Nash song called I can
see clearly now you guys are probably too once. I
remember that and I remember going to the stage. It
was the scariest thing that ever happened. It called my
name and it was a cappella, so there were you know,
I had no backing, and he called my name and
(09:17):
said we've got this young seal is going to sing
a song for you right now. And I walked to
the stage and I saw my parents in the audience
and all of these all of the parents of the
other kids and everyone there, and literally I wanted the
stage to just open up and swallow me. I was frozen,
but I closed my eyes and I sang this song,
(09:38):
and it was it was kind of like that scene
in the movie you could hear a pin drop. I
sang this song and at the end of it, I
still had my eyes closed, and everyone clapped and I
saw my parents.
Speaker 4 (09:48):
Going wow, mouth dropped.
Speaker 6 (09:52):
So that place that turned into the scariest place place
on earth. It immediately felt like home, and so I
always knew I would return there. So I guess the
reason that the real takeaway from that story is that
we all need people to see us.
Speaker 4 (10:09):
We need you know.
Speaker 6 (10:10):
For you, it was your dad who who who saw you,
and I saw something great in you when you were
four years old, you know, and you were playing tackle
and at that age, you know, he saw it in you.
Speaker 4 (10:22):
For me, it was mister Wren.
Speaker 6 (10:25):
He saw me, and you know, whereas other teachers thought
I was going to be a waste of time, you know,
because I have ADHD, so I never paid attention in
school and they thought I was going to be a
waste of time. But he saw me and he brought
out something special, an amazing story.
Speaker 4 (10:41):
Man.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
This is perfect because from up here, I'm missing career
Day at my kids school.
Speaker 4 (10:45):
I'm going to send them this clip.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
Miss Wagner's class is going to see Seal and Deebo.
Speaker 3 (10:51):
I started coincidentally coaching my son who's four, this weekend,
so I got to keep that eye out.
Speaker 4 (10:55):
Yeah, maybe my son, Well, you're the next te Bo Samuel.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
I got to ask people talking about you rolling up
in an Eagle's jersey this week, is that you just
supporting your boy?
Speaker 7 (11:05):
People making a big deal about this for no reason.
Just that's definitely me supporting my brother for sure. We've
been locked in for a long time now. We're going
on about eighty eight years of you know, being my guy,
you know, just showing support. You know, I always say like,
if I'm not in it, I want one of my
peers to win it.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
Of course, am I feeling a little ego biased here
because you're supporting your boy and he wants to fly
like an Eagle to the seedy me.
Speaker 6 (11:33):
No, no, no, no, no, no, I'm not gonna let
you do what fly like any ego.
Speaker 4 (11:37):
No, that song is that song that you're just singing there?
Speaker 6 (11:41):
Right is literally the only association I have with the Eagles.
Speaker 4 (11:45):
It begins and ends there.
Speaker 3 (11:47):
Really okay, But but I can't imagine oh and two
against the Chiefs.
Speaker 4 (11:51):
You can't be loving this team. No, no, no, not
at all, not at all, not at all.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
Robert Salaback, is that a big deal for you on
the offense?
Speaker 4 (12:00):
That seems like such a live guy.
Speaker 7 (12:02):
No, right, man, this man energy is through the roof.
I've seen that hap it. I was like, bro, we
got one of our core guys back because.
Speaker 4 (12:09):
When I got drafted there he was there. Yeah, so
like you know he was.
Speaker 7 (12:12):
He was the high energy guy to get everybody going
when things ain't going right, he always there to bring
it back together.
Speaker 4 (12:19):
Like he's the guy for sure.
Speaker 3 (12:21):
Know what I was wonder coming out is there is
there a forty nine ers group chat and you are
you guys talking about this.
Speaker 4 (12:26):
While we're learning about it?
Speaker 7 (12:27):
No, no, everybody be cool and just because at the
end of the day, it's nothing that we could control.
Speaker 4 (12:32):
It's just you know, no doubt.
Speaker 6 (12:33):
That's a tough thing about your your profession.
Speaker 4 (12:36):
Man like you for me, I I can can you
control everything?
Speaker 5 (12:40):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (12:41):
Control is what we go out there and put on tape.
That's it.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
Oh see, can you still control those high notes? Kiss
from a Rose? That that real high note?
Speaker 4 (12:49):
Which high note?
Speaker 8 (12:50):
You?
Speaker 5 (12:50):
Baby?
Speaker 4 (13:02):
You want me to go high? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (13:04):
I tell you this is wild because I want to
keep going back and forth music sports because those are
two things people love so much. Like all right, super Bowl,
SE's a game a week scited about Kendrick Kamar.
Speaker 4 (13:14):
Are your fan? I don't know.
Speaker 7 (13:17):
To me, I'm not gonna see here and live like
I'm the biggest Kendrick fan of the I really like
start listening to him when him and Drake got the
going back. So I'm just like, all right.
Speaker 4 (13:28):
But you got some you know, listen to that and
listen to some.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
Drake can't be loving us Drake Cole though, Oh yeah,
I agree.
Speaker 4 (13:37):
One of the code is let me ask you this. Uh.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
Talking to other forty nine ers, everyone seems sold on Brock.
Speaker 4 (13:42):
I like Brock as a fan. Is Brock your guy?
No matter what? He love them? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (13:46):
I love them, Well, you guys got lucky.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
By the way, mister irrelevant, Is that lucky? No, but
I'm saying the fact that I'll consider it love. No,
not lucky, but mister irrelevant. You saw people are saying
when the minute he joined your team in practice, everyone's
like this guy, bro, this guy.
Speaker 7 (14:03):
The first free season game I watched him play, we
played Houston, and he showed glimpse of like, yo, like
this kid is talented, and I'm just like, he just
get out the pocket, he'd be moving. I'm just like, yo, like,
who is this guy? Like, you know, he always won
of the guys that practiced, that stood at the back,
like he used to just throw, like he told me
(14:25):
a story. He's like, hey, d bo man, I used
to just I just think he was just so mean
and just this is fun. He's like, I just throw
you the ball and just turn around before you even
catch it, so you don't come back and talk to me.
Speaker 4 (14:34):
I love.
Speaker 6 (14:35):
I love what I love what you said your response
to these guys saying lucky.
Speaker 4 (14:40):
You know, I had this great quote.
Speaker 6 (14:42):
By my brother Tiger Woods one day when somebody accused
him of being lucky, and he said, yeap, how do
I practice the luckier I get right, And I think
that's the case with bro I once heard I think
it was I think it was my brother Steve Young
talking about out the quality that the intangibles of a
(15:03):
quarterback that not a lot of people they want to
pick up on, and he said that what he learned
from Montana was that that if the game's on the line,
and you know, you've got to perform the value in
(15:23):
going into the huddle with your guy, with your leader,
and you see that he's cool and he's not panicking,
and he's.
Speaker 4 (15:31):
Calm never and he's confident.
Speaker 6 (15:33):
So I wanted to ask you, what is it like
in those moments when you go into the huddle and
you see your guy Brock it was calm.
Speaker 7 (15:41):
Sometimes it be crazy because sometimes cal get to play
in late and you know, the quarterbacks get frustrated.
Speaker 4 (15:47):
Here like I can't hear that.
Speaker 7 (15:48):
He was like a brother, let's get Him'm about ready break,
So you like, you have no choice but getting this
cart with this dude, no matter where he's going to
just sit.
Speaker 8 (15:58):
Here?
Speaker 7 (15:59):
Is he that in the hug He's like when I
say like, I mean, it's like the moment is never
too big for him, Like the only time he gets
kind of frustrated is when him and is going back
and forth on the heads and the time getting lowered,
cal saying one word, but want to change the play?
He changed about four five times. Brock is like, bro
like give me the play, like give me something.
Speaker 3 (16:19):
By the way, to the record debo, I did not
say Brock was lucky. I was saying the Niners lucky
was There's.
Speaker 4 (16:29):
No no, no, no. See what he's doing. That what
he's doing the moonwalk? Man, he's doing his dance move.
Speaker 2 (16:34):
So anyway, guys, let us know what's going on with
fresh What are we expecting from Super Bowl?
Speaker 4 (16:39):
Ain't nothing.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
I saw the commercial, man, I saw the good stuff.
Tell us what's going on?
Speaker 7 (16:43):
Man, It's nothing better than super Bowl football in a
great mount dude, especially the Baja blasted and so refresh,
and I swear I love it best drink out.
Speaker 3 (16:51):
In the commercial you turn into a shield. They finally
got you to turn the guy up.
Speaker 4 (16:56):
They they got me to do it, you know. But honestly,
I'm really out that.
Speaker 6 (17:01):
I'm really fortunate and happy that I got to make
people laugh, and I'm pretty proud to be doing it
with mountain, dude, Baja blast. You know it's a it's
a it's a perfect match.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
I think I think you guys are a perfect match.
Speaker 4 (17:13):
I love having you both here. I really appreciate it.
Speaker 6 (17:16):
I'm just I mean, he doesn't, I mean his biggest
fun I've been watching this guy since he was at Cottage.
Speaker 1 (17:21):
That's so cool, man. Thank you guys for your time.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
We're excited to enjoy some Baja Blast, and thank you
guys for being on.
Speaker 4 (17:26):
Thank you pretty about Samuel.
Speaker 2 (17:29):
See Samuel and Deebo Samuel on the Covino and Rich show.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
Beautiful?
Speaker 4 (17:34):
Was that such good dude?
Speaker 2 (17:36):
So much funny to see the videos at Covino and
Rich at Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 4 (17:41):
Oh yeah yeah.
Speaker 3 (17:41):
But the best video you could see at Covin and Rich, yeah,
is that when we were done hanging out with him,
I said, Debo, my man, for good luck, we have
to have a Rich Davis to Deebo Samuel touchdown pass.
So I threw him a tuddy and he made a
one handed snag and that's well.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
The Niners are going back to the playoffs now, all right.
Speaker 3 (18:02):
And I posted the video of Deebo with a sweet
grab at Covin on right now.

They must have paid Seal a ton of money for
him to be like, Okay, you could see gi my
face on a Seal.
Speaker 1 (18:45):
You know, could have talked to both of those dudes
for another hour.
Speaker 3 (18:48):
I'm sorry, I was so hyped up. It was Deba
CeAl and Deebo. You're not sorry, but sorry, not sorry.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
I mean, actually you are kind of sorry, but he's
not sorry about that.
Speaker 1 (18:57):
That's Rich Davis.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
I'm Covino live from Super Bowl Media Row. Thanks Sam
and the tire Rack dot com studio. If you miss
Seal the Artist, Seal and Deebo Samuel Seal Samuel and
Deebo Samuel, They're not brothers. They were on the show,
catch it on the podcast. I had so much stuff
(19:18):
to ask him, I really did. I think that's one
of the top ten songs of all time, if not
maybe top five of all time.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
Top ten, I'll give you, because respectfully, I don't know
anyone that's like, oh, look that song.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
It's such an earworm too.
Speaker 2 (19:34):
If someone hits you in a right, it's in your
head the rest of the day.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
It's such a beautiful song. I remember buying a single
just like, is that what you say?
Speaker 4 (19:43):
I said, both of us, Yeah, we.
Speaker 9 (19:45):
Talked about how we bought the CD single when it
came out. And you guys, there's a bathroom directly behind
our stage. About a half hour ago, I was in there.
We were kind of getting ready for the beginning of
the show, and there was some random in there singing
and whistling that song right there out just from our interview.
Speaker 3 (20:01):
You see seal and you're right. The rest of the day,
I've been walking around Da da da. It's a timeless song.
Speaker 2 (20:08):
And I was gonna ask him, well, if we all
agree that's one of the top ten of all time
or maybe in our lifetime, you know, what is it for?
Speaker 4 (20:16):
Him.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
What are those songs for him?
Speaker 2 (20:17):
What's his personal number one aside from all of his
great songs. Again, we're live from Media Row. Rapid Radios

look good.
Speaker 4 (21:34):
I'm actually it everywhere.
Speaker 9 (21:35):
Kind of sour about it because suddenly, now, yeah, I'm
the one who's always for years warring at the studio. True, Suddenly,
big Mike, somebody say, who who is going to be
walking around our studios in Sherman Oaks, California wearing the hats?
Speaker 4 (21:47):
Yep, yep, yep.
Speaker 2 (21:48):
So again, guys, stick around for Drew Brees and Donovan
McNabb going to be on the show today talking Eagles.
Speaker 4 (21:55):
Oh yeah, so lots of.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
People stopping by media row. Such a great week again,
want to thank everybody for hanging out with us. If
you missed anything, catch the Fox Sports Radio YouTube page.
And we also had Gary Vee on over promised this week.
We caught up with Gary Vee Gary Vaynerchuk over promised
on Fox Sports Radios YouTube page. That's our bonus pod.
But well hold on at our hotel. I was saying,
(22:17):
we have a story. I was saying, just hit us
up with a trivia question. Does he think he's gonna
stump you with this one?
Speaker 4 (22:22):
I love? I was sam. I was saying, pose the question,
go ahead.
Speaker 10 (22:26):
And so Kiss from a Rose by Seal appeared in
what mid nineties film?
Speaker 4 (22:32):
Listen.
Speaker 10 (22:32):
I just wanted to ask this so that I could
talk about, or have you guys talk about one of
my favorite action hero movies of all time?
Speaker 4 (22:39):
Of course, tell.
Speaker 2 (22:40):
Me Forever Forever or Ever Before Ever, Forever Cardinals.
Speaker 10 (22:50):
Everyone wanted to hate on that movie, and it's one
of my favorites.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
I mean the soundtrack definitely helped for sure. Definitely wasn't
Jim Carrey The Riddler that one.
Speaker 10 (22:58):
It was great cast Nicole Kid and Jim Carrey, Tommy
Lee Jones.
Speaker 4 (23:02):
So I just played it.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
Was cool man and Seal looked great. It was great
talking to him.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
And again, like I said, we're still excited to talk
to Drew Brees and Donovan McNabb, So we got to
tell you about our adventures though here in New Orleans.
Speaker 4 (23:14):
No doubt.
Speaker 3 (23:15):
And again that video of Seal and Debo gonna be
available on the Fox Sports Radio YouTube page. I know
we're trying to get to that story, but I have
so many observations.
Speaker 1 (23:23):
Do you notice that, Seal, when you went in for
the handshake, he gave.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
Everyone a big hug instead. Yes, I did notice that.
You notice that it's very European.
Speaker 3 (23:31):
Very European, like you were like, Yo, Seal, when you
went to give him a handshake, he was like, nah.
Speaker 1 (23:35):
Did he grab your butt?
Speaker 4 (23:37):
He grabbed mine? Man, I thought it was just me.
I thought it was just me. I thought that was
a little weird. I'm sorry. I didn't mind. I didn't mind.
Speaker 9 (23:42):
He you know me, I'm a hugger. I gave him
the okay.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
So but yeah, And he was a great storyteller, he
really was. You could tell he had a great respect
for Deebo Samuel. He was a big sports fan.
Speaker 4 (23:55):
All right. So I'm sorry now to last night.
Speaker 1 (23:58):
You're not sorry. I mean you you are, but you're not.
Speaker 4 (24:01):
Yeah, I guess.
Speaker 3 (24:02):
So we're at the hotel last night, and we decide
as much as as much as we wanted to go out,
and you always want to explore a new city. Yo,
did I tell you some woman on the elevator says
this as I'm going down to meet you guys for dinner.
Speaker 1 (24:18):
Man, the hotel lobby's crazy.
Speaker 4 (24:20):
You're in New Orleans.
Speaker 1 (24:21):
Who would ever get dinner at the hotel?
Speaker 4 (24:25):
Hey, where are you headed? And I go to get
dinner at the hotel. It was great, though.
Speaker 1 (24:29):
The restaurant at our.
Speaker 4 (24:30):
Hotel was good.
Speaker 1 (24:31):
Yeah, I mean convenience right there, and it was good.
Speaker 2 (24:35):
It had a good vibe. There was a buzz in
the lobby. You know, there's superstars and celebrities. Our colleagues
are their party, and yet why not.
Speaker 4 (24:41):
Yeah, it's fun. It was fun.
Speaker 3 (24:42):
So we sit down. It's about eight, there's eight of us.
We're hanging with some of the other on air folks.
Our buddy Rob Parker, our buddy Wes Covino spot.
Speaker 4 (24:53):
Yeah, video guy.
Speaker 2 (24:54):
Really do have a great team, and it really does
feel like you're hanging out with good bud.
Speaker 11 (24:58):
Grew all you guys. I was at Chris Staple to Yeah,
Danny J.
Speaker 1 (25:01):
Was at a serious x M concert Christapleton, our.
Speaker 3 (25:04):
Buddy, super agent Sean Wyman was at dinner. So here's
the question. The waiter comes over, who was also the bartender?
They were efficient, They were.
Speaker 4 (25:13):
Packed last night.
Speaker 3 (25:13):
So this guy comes out from behind the bar and
we sur buddy that runs all the stuff here at
Fox Sports Radio, and iHeart he's.
Speaker 2 (25:24):
Mike runs this place. But Dave we also, you know,
is a powerful man. Let's put it that way.
Speaker 3 (25:31):
And he's like, yo, this bartender is great. He gives
a nice solid pore of a cocktail. He's good, he's quick, Yo,
he knows what's up. This guy comes over to our
table and he's like, all right, appetizers, drinks and food.
Speaker 4 (25:46):
Go.
Speaker 3 (25:47):
Remember there's eight of us, and there's eight of us.
And I'm like, I'm looking, no, no, ped nothing. He's
looking around and it's and there's a couple of pain
in the ass's like big MIC's like no crew dons
or something. And Cavino, he was insistent upon I got it,
and he did not make one mistake.
Speaker 1 (26:08):
I don't appreciate this is that.
Speaker 2 (26:10):
I really don't because if he were to make a mistake,
because nobody's perfect except for Kerr Hennig, and he died,
so it would come back to see that's why you
should have wrote it down. I said no cheese, I
said no crew tis or whatever the case may be.
Speaker 4 (26:22):
There's no way. He always gets it right, you know
what I mean.
Speaker 1 (26:26):
So I'm sort of like wary of this whole thing.
Speaker 4 (26:28):
I'm like, I don't like that. Why do you do that?
Speaker 2 (26:30):
It bothers me write it down? And then I have
another question based on that, Danny G What was your
oh on that?
Speaker 9 (26:37):
Just that he's trying to pull a jay Z because
he hove always pulled that thing where people were stunned,
because he would walk into the booth and just start
wrapping from what he wrote in his.
Speaker 11 (26:50):
Head right right right, So the waiters try pulling that.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
Yeah, yeah, you don't trust it. I didn't trust it.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
I always as a waiter, you know, in my previous life,
previous career, I always wrote everything down. I'm not taking
that chance because he gets along like, I don't know, man,
I guess the kitchen got it wrong.
Speaker 4 (27:05):
I wrote it.
Speaker 1 (27:06):
I answered it just the way you said it.
Speaker 4 (27:08):
I have written down right here.
Speaker 1 (27:09):
And were you Are you in the Bennigans Hall of Fame?
Speaker 2 (27:12):
I am actually yeah, yeah, yeah, they retired my apron.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
So I have another question based on that.
Speaker 3 (27:19):
By the way, no one has served more Turkey otools
than Steve Cavino.
Speaker 4 (27:22):
Record holder.
Speaker 2 (27:23):
Right here, your thoughts on that, by the way, because
I'm not a fan. This guy happened to get it right,
Big Mike. There's a lot of people that show off
and don't get it right in the bothers, Big Mike
who runs this place? Who Mike? He did say, never
heard of it? You might want to grab a pen.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
And the guy was at him it like, nah, I
got this.
Speaker 3 (27:43):
So your thoughts on those odd flexes, like, I get it?
Speaker 4 (27:47):
Is it a show off move? Is it? Like?
Speaker 1 (27:49):
Is he working on memory recognition?
Speaker 8 (27:51):
Like?
Speaker 4 (27:51):
What is that move? You know what?
Speaker 2 (27:52):
I'll put right up there too. I'll put right up there.
When it comes to annoying waiter tactics, there's one move
and then one move that's just absurd. One move is
when the guy like kneels down to your level, like
he kneeled like and he got his elbows on the table, Like,
so how you guys do it?
Speaker 1 (28:06):
It's like, hey, man, can you like stand out you bother?
Speaker 3 (28:09):
I know it's supposed to be cute, but it also
bothers me when an attractive waitress like scoots in your table.
Speaker 4 (28:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (28:16):
I was just gonna say that with someone like you know,
squeeze it cheat and they sit next to you when
they're taking the order, I'm like.
Speaker 4 (28:21):
Get out of my move. I don't like it.
Speaker 2 (28:23):
I don't like these little tactics, I guess, but I
did want to ask this question too, based on work
trips and you know, hanging with your colleagues and a
lot of times you don't venture up too far on
these adventures. But is it lame to get the same
thing more than once when you're in a new city.
Speaker 1 (28:42):
We're in New Orleans, right, So we were staying at
the Marriote.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
They had a really great salad at this place we
speak of called the Summer Salad. I got this rich
no joke, maybe four time, five times, maybe this entire
week day. Every time I got it? Is that the
lamest move of all time? When you like something, you
stick with it. That's my question.
Speaker 4 (29:03):
That restaurant had shrimp and grits.
Speaker 1 (29:04):
Yeah, but you're always taking a chance. I didn't feel
like taking that chance.
Speaker 3 (29:07):
They had a would buy. They had a cheeseburger. They
had like a southern fried chicken dish like summer sound,
had some grilled chicken on it.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
I enjoyed it.
Speaker 4 (29:15):
You know what else?
Speaker 9 (29:15):
They had a potential stomach ache, which is what Rich
had prior to the show exactly.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
So like I'm like, you know what worked? We have
a busy meek, I feel nice and light. I enjoyed it.
Why take the chance?
Speaker 2 (29:27):
So lame move or boss move, as the saying goes,
But again your thoughts on the waiter let us know
at eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox, Chop it up.
Speaker 3 (29:36):
Get the phones going, be a little interactive eight seven
to seven nine nine on Fox.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
Now while we wear for your feedback, just know that.
Speaker 3 (29:42):
Coming up on the show, Drew Brees, Donovan McNabb, some
QB legends. But right now, let's go to our pal
MONSI bos.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
For an update, Manzi, do you like that move or not?
Speaker 3 (29:53):
When when the waiter or waitresses like I got it
and they try to memorize like ten people.
Speaker 12 (29:57):
So did they mess up?
Speaker 4 (29:59):
They did not?
Speaker 12 (30:00):
All right, So what are we hating on here? We're
trying to find it. Yeah, we're literally trying to find
a problem that didn't exist.
Speaker 4 (30:06):
Yeah, I agree with Mancy here. I thought you said
they messed up on one He messed up on.
Speaker 3 (30:10):
One knack one time he goes just checking like no cheese, right,
like that was it?
Speaker 1 (30:14):
And besides that, I'm like, yo, is he just is
it a shit?
Speaker 4 (30:17):
It's like almost a show off move.
Speaker 12 (30:19):
I think, you know what I some people can just
do that.
Speaker 1 (30:23):
It's not for everybody.
Speaker 12 (30:24):
Now, if you are a server, don't try to do that.
If that's not in you. I would always write it down,
just because I have short term memory in that sense,
you know what I mean, Like, I'd rather just write
it down.
Speaker 3 (30:33):
Do you ever think you know, maybe it's it's a
way to stay not bored at work, Like maybe this
guy feel like it's a challenge.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
Yeah, like it keeps you engaged.
Speaker 3 (30:41):
I'm here, you know, eight hours work in the bar
in this place. Let me memorize orders.
Speaker 4 (30:45):
It's fun.
Speaker 5 (30:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (30:46):
I think it's just some can do it and some can't.
But you're looking for a problem that doesn't exist if
they didn't mess up. And I'm speaking to Kvino here
because apparently he's the one that had a problem.
Speaker 1 (30:54):
Well, if there was a problem, yo, adds solve it.
Speaker 8 (30:57):

a way, Fox Sports Radio is flexing pretty hard on

but that's what it's all about. This is also our

Speaker 1 (32:37):
Our video teams slaying it all week.
Speaker 2 (32:39):
So if you want to see CeAl and Debo, check
our ig check the YouTube page. And again later on
the show, Drew Brees and Donovan McNabb, your old college pal, Rich.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
Yeah, what is going on?
Speaker 6 (32:51):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (32:52):
People are shouting here.
Speaker 4 (32:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (32:53):
I think Patrick Mahomes just walked in something a little scary,
to be honest.
Speaker 2 (32:58):
So we got a top ten that Rich says he
could slay here. The Athletic came out with an article
of the top ten halftime performances of all time. And
if you ask Rich, I don't think that he thinks
Kendrick Lamar is going to.
Speaker 4 (33:12):
Be in the top ten.
Speaker 1 (33:12):
You know, I may have changed my mind on how
fun it'll be.
Speaker 3 (33:16):
I still stand by the fact that a lot of
our parents and aunts and uncles, and you know, the
older people in your life might not really know.
Speaker 4 (33:23):
We know what the truth is.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
Danny g and I were talking about this on our
way to get that same salad again for the fifth time.
The NFL is not trying to win older people over.
They don't care if your dad likes Kendrick Lamar or not.
You know why, because your dad's tuning into the NFL
no matter what. They're trying to win over new fans
all the time. So great marketing. He's the hottest guy
(33:44):
going right now. He just won what five Grammy Awards.
Speaker 9 (33:47):
And they're so psyched with Taylor Swift bringing new fans exactly.
Speaker 2 (33:52):
That's really what it's all about. So you got to
be open to it if you're not that familiar with them.
Speaker 4 (33:56):
Top ten, All right, here we go. Let's see what
you can do.
Speaker 11 (33:58):
Okay, you want to start at the bottom of the list.
Speaker 3 (34:02):
You know, I'm gonna just name them and you tell
me if they're in the top ten, and I'll see
if I could without three strikes like family futile got
it all right? I mean I was saying played it
out of the commercial. It was gonna be my number
one pick anyway. But Prince in the Rain, the silhouette
Purple Rain.
Speaker 4 (34:19):
Prince is on this.
Speaker 11 (34:19):
List number one according to the Athletic Wow.
Speaker 4 (34:22):
Number one, right.
Speaker 1 (34:25):
So Prince on the list.
Speaker 4 (34:27):
Pooh see.
Speaker 3 (34:28):
You gotta go from the perspective of is it my
favorite or is everyone else gonna say that's great? Because
I'm gonna say, put Bruno Mars on this line.
Speaker 9 (34:36):
I agree, Bruno Mars. Yeah, Bruno Mars is tied for six.
He got on the drum set dance.
Speaker 4 (34:46):
Yeah, I mean he was awesome, all right.
Speaker 3 (34:50):
I don't think so, but I bet because she was
pregnant and she's huge and everyone loves her and a billionaire.
Speaker 1 (34:56):
She was pregnant, man, I didn't mean huge that way.
Speaker 11 (35:00):
Rihanna, Yes, number nine.
Speaker 3 (35:02):
Okay, you know what, I guess I've known what the
athletics doing here.
Speaker 2 (35:06):
Kiss it wasn't gonna tell me. Rihanna's top ten wasn't
the best performance. It was a baby announcement, if you remember,
was the top ten weeks performance aside from the baby.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
You're holding your belly because you had too many Poe
boys this week.
Speaker 2 (35:22):
That's right, but look, I totally respect that beautiful moment,
but that was a moment in a boring performance.
Speaker 4 (35:29):
Sorry, let me keep going again.
Speaker 3 (35:32):
Not the biggest fan of these guys, but I feel
like people are gonna say you too.
Speaker 4 (35:36):
Number three.
Speaker 11 (35:38):
Yeah, yeah, okay, first time all week.
Speaker 3 (35:42):
I was gonna say, I'm bound to miss one at
some point. Now she jumped off the top of the stadium,
and she's a big star.
Speaker 1 (35:50):
Stars.
Speaker 4 (35:51):
Lady got got like.
Speaker 9 (35:52):
The list Lady Got God did not make. You're gonna
go Lady gotta go over.
Speaker 3 (35:58):
Michael Jackson was even some I but why would you
say Michael Jackson put it up?
Speaker 9 (36:04):
Yes, Michael Jackson of course made the list. Number five, Okay, MJ.
Speaker 4 (36:09):
That'll be good on all right.
Speaker 3 (36:11):
Super Bowl halftime shows that left an impression. Again, Cavino,
not my stage, But I know what the people love,
and I'm gonna throw Beyonce on there.
Speaker 11 (36:20):
Beyonce and Destiny's Child number four.
Speaker 2 (36:24):
So they went back into critics and lists love Beyonce, which.
Speaker 4 (36:28):
Is why I put her on.
Speaker 3 (36:30):
You know, Billboard named her the biggest pop star of
the twenty first century.
Speaker 4 (36:33):
Beyonce was better than Rihanna. Where was she again? Number four? Okay?
Speaker 3 (36:37):
Okay, see I like Maroon five. But I'm not going there.
I'm gonna get I'm gonna get this one wrong. But
Katy Perry with the Dancing Sharks number ten, Yeah, a
Katy Perry, Rihanna Bruno, mars J. Now you want to
add one, I'm trying to think of who. I don't
(36:57):
want to put the who on. I think they stunk
I was at that one.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
Yeah, but critics love the whop love stuff like that.
Speaker 11 (37:03):
I'll give you a clue of one. It didn't happen
that long ago.
Speaker 3 (37:06):
Don't tell me they put the weekend on no, because
I didn that's not an official pick during the COVID year.
Speaker 2 (37:13):
And how about em and M Doctor Dre, Doctor Dre
and the crew number two?
Speaker 4 (37:19):
You know what? I wasn't even thinking recent.
Speaker 9 (37:21):
I'm like that was, uh, how can you not think
about sweep up there?
Speaker 2 (37:25):
Rich was very critical of Upside Down fifty cent though?
Is he still up there? And people are wondering if
he's still upside Well, if you want to go hip hop.
Speaker 4 (37:34):
And R and B.
Speaker 1 (37:34):
I know it was a year ago, but er sure
did he make the list?
Speaker 4 (37:40):
I got two strikes?
Speaker 1 (37:41):
I got one strike left and what two remaining.
Speaker 4 (37:43):
Spots, Yes, sir, Maroon five.
Speaker 1 (37:47):
I'm not going with even though I do like Adam Levine.
Speaker 3 (37:53):
The compilation of like when it was like Christina Aguilera and.
Speaker 4 (37:59):
Didn't you go up there with like Phil.
Speaker 11 (38:00):
Collins or something.
Speaker 1 (38:02):
I'm out, damn it.
Speaker 11 (38:04):
There was a tie at six, Bad Bunny and j
