(02:15):
throw back Thursday. Nintendo references right today, being that it's
an old school throw back Thursday. It's old school. And
fifty hits. When fifty hits in life, when fifty hits
on the clock, we throw it back. Let's just say
we celebrate someone's birthday today and other ancillary characters in
(02:35):
entertainment and sports, we will explain. Don't worry, but we
throw it back. And I'm gonna play a little round
of yo. I think you're full of bull junk. Boo Jump.
There's someone out there, a coach in the NFL that's
full of bull junk. By the way, I trademarked bull
chunk because uh, Coach Prime didn't. Coach Prime didn't. Yeah,
(02:55):
he trademarked everything else other than bull jump. And of course,
a little theory I have on Travis Kelcey and Taylor Swift.
I think you're going to agree with it. It's a
way to make this work between these two superstars. Tommy
fam said something about my mets. I want to bring
that up later. Cousins. We got to talk Kim, but
(03:17):
I don't want to be that guy that's like on
this day. But I'm going to be two things in
the world of sports happened on this day. I'm gonna
throw out the year. I'll give you a little chance
to guess if you want. I know two of them
on this day. I don't know if they're the same two,
but I know two of them in nineteen seventy, which
(03:40):
is carry the one fifty three years ago? What debuted today?
Fifty three years ago? Ramo said, he guesses, Sorry, you
said nineteen seventy, nineteen seventy on this day? Well, I
was one. Is this sports related? It was when we
(04:02):
changed Ramos's diaper for the first time, when Ramos pooped
his pants. No, it was uh, it was the debut
Ramos came off the breast day. Any guesses what year?
Did you say? Nineteen seventy? Oh?
Speaker 3 (04:19):
Okay, I thought it was earth Wind and Fire Day?
Speaker 1 (04:23):
Do you remember, yeah, yesterday?
Speaker 4 (04:25):
That was Dember nineteenth, right now, okay, twenty first, it's close.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
That was going to be my guest, but that's a
little too early. I don't think that's seventy.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
It was the debut of Monday Night Football, the first
Monday Night football game. Was on this day in nineteen
seventy and I'll give you another one, a little more
from our childhood. Dan and Danny j this day in
nineteen ninety one, something was announced on this day in
ninety one. I'll just say it was a big deal
in ninety two. But let's say it was announced today
(04:58):
in ninety one that my friends would be the dream Team,
the dream Team. Today was the day where they're like
good one. We have an announcement to make Jordan Magic Bird,
Barkley ewing Well Stockton, remember they were like and Christian Latner. Well,
I'll tell you what it's also Rich As a Mets fan,
(05:19):
I'm surprised you didn't say this. Do you remember? The
twenty first not of September is the anniversary of Mike
Piasa's legendary home run after nine to eleven the first
sporting event after nine to eleven two thousand and one,
the Mets took a three to two lead over the
Braves when Mike Piazza hit a legendary home run that
(05:41):
the whole world got behind him for the forty one
thousand people in New York. Off of who which Atlanta
Brave a starter or a reliever. I don't want to
give you any hints. I would have been too awesome
if it was John Rocker, but it wasn't. It was
not a Glaven or Smaltzy or one of those guy's.
Probably Steve Carsey. I remember Steve Carsay who and exactly well,
(06:07):
he was part of that historical moment, huge moment, the
biggest home run by far for Mike Piazza's career, and
he had a lot of legendary home runs. Could I
And it was also the last the anniversary of the
last Yankees game at the old Yankee Stadium when Derek
Jeter announced like, hey, we're moving all the memories from
(06:28):
this legendary ballpark, the house that Ruth bilt and we're
going across the street. It was the last home game,
it's the anniversary. I mean, if you want to talk
Yankee Stadium, I have another one. I don't want to be,
you know, throwing too many fun facts at you. But
the undefeated Rocky Marciano had his last fight victory on
this day and it was at the old Yankee Stadium.
(06:48):
Oh wow.
Speaker 4 (06:50):
As a Yankees fan, can you know why would Wrigley
Field and Fenway Park continue to be around, but rob
the stadium is not.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
Every Yankees fan will tell you they may have brought
some of the winning attitude across the street because they
won in two thousand and nine in the new ballpark,
but that mystique could never be recreated. The vibe of
the old Yankee Stadium was so legendary, so awesome. Just
updated and maybe make it better. Everybody was doing it.
That's really the trifecta of Fenway, Wrigley. Yankee Stadium should
(07:28):
have remained the Yankees, Steinbeender greedy, and you know what
it was too, I'll be honest, because Steinbrenner never wanted
to be one upped. The Mets were building city Field
to replace Shay Stadium, which was a dump. Everybody was
doing it, and the Yankees were trying to continue that
dynasty and trying to do big things. They built a coliseum.
It's not a ballpark. City Field is a beautiful ballpark.
(07:51):
Yankee Stadium, it is cold, it's a coliseum. It's not
the magical place that the old Yankee Stadium once was.
But their last game the old Yankees played on this day.
Look at that. Celebrate reasons to celebrate tonight Thursday Night football.
I'm gonna be celebrating, dude. My weekend starts tonight. The
second my lips touched that old fashioned dude. And I'm
(08:14):
watching some football tonight. Let's what old session dude? Oh
his name is uh Smedley. When your lips touch that
old fashioned dude, talking old fashion man, Okay to that
old fashion my maker's mark on standby Kerry Harry Grant.
Oh you never met a beoneezer. When my lips touched
(08:38):
that old fashioned dude. Wow, that's interesting. I'm having a
nice cocktail tonight, getting ready for the weekend, enjoying the game.
I wish you the same, and again celebrate those anniversaries
that's on this day, all those years ago, twenty first
night of September. Do you remember, you know, before we
get into some NFL tonight's game, I really do think
(08:59):
my Niners they're capable of putting like a class A
SmackDown on the Giants. I feel real good about it.
I just think the Giants, you know, missing sa Quon,
missing some key players, the Niners just might outmatch them.
So we shall see Niners home opener. So and the
lines moved right, Rich, It's ten and a half. Now
I bought a point for my straight bet niners minus
(09:21):
nine and a half. I rather that, I rather wager
a little more. But I'll go over all those bets
a little bit. We'll talk some cousins, like I said,
Taylor and Kelsey, But you brought up Mike Piazza on
the anniversary. I do have to share one quick story,
by the way, I don't want to downplay that I
was never a Mets fan. Riches that was magnificent. That
(09:42):
home run on this day, two thousand and one, legendary
as you as you might know or might not know.
Kevino and I also work on serious XM for years.
Occasionally we got to do these car events with serious
XM partners, like Kavino was in Detroit last week. Again,
I have to go this weekend. You know, relationships with
(10:02):
all the different dealers. Years ago, my wife was due
with our daughter, who is now six, and I was
supposed to host an event and I couldn't go because
my wife could be having the baby any day now.
And Kevino and I would switch off events because they
wanted him or me. So Kevina is like, I got it.
(10:23):
Cavino goes to this event, and he calls me up.
He's like, bro, guess what I've been hanging with all
weekend dinners drinks. He's right here next to me. I go,
he goes. His family's way involved in the car dealership industry.
Kevina's like here. Cavino did the whole Hey say hello, yo, Rich,
it's Mike Piazza. I was like you, So I did
(10:45):
an event with Mike Piazza, and he was the coolest dude. Many.
I was so like, really, of all the events where
like you switched out with me as a Mets fan,
like I could have been having dinners and co hosting
with Mike Piazza. But and he was super kind, super cool,
very Italian. Comes from a big car family. His family
owns dealerships. All of his brothers. I met all of
(11:05):
his brothers. Dude, I hung out with the family. He
hung out with Frankie Carmine. Dude, we shared.
Speaker 3 (11:11):
It was great this weekend. You're gonna get Willie Randolph.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
Yeah, exactly, Comino, I got someone here for you. It's
Mike pagi No, it's true, you know. I'll post that
picture later at Steve Caabino, at Covino and Rich to
show you what a guy in today's that anniverse. Again,
you don't need to be a New Yorker a Mets
fan to remember that legendary moment to appreciate that legendary moment.
Speaker 4 (11:32):
And also I don't think people understand that for me
and probably didn't. Mike Posas is also legend Dodge, I mean,
the guy was. He was one a fan favorite of
all Dodger when they traded him away, was on Dodgers
Stadium for years.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
Yeah, that's awesome. His best I think his best years
were as a Dodger. He just made more of an
impact on the Mets franchise. But he is, in my opinion,
he was a better Dodger than he was a Mets.
Speaker 3 (11:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
And the story, as we all know, goes like someone
Lasorda did a favor for someone or else. He wouldn't
even have been drafted. So you're like, how many how
many Piazzas are out there that just need a favor
called because Lesorta? What was a family friend? Yeah? I
think they said he was on his honorary godfather.
Speaker 4 (12:15):
I'm wasn't sure if he was his actual godfather, but
that him and him and Piazza's dad were very close.
Speaker 1 (12:21):
So I was like, oh, we'll draft him sure, like
like like an afterthought. Meanwhile, you know, him and Johnny
Bench arguably what the two best catchers, and he worked
harder though as a result, you know, he put that
work in because he was given that opportunity, so paid off.
But a really dude, really nice dude, and uh, really
legendary moment. Old fashioned dude, old fashion dude. Well, uh,
(12:44):
I do want to get into this theory I have
about Travis Kelcey and Taylor Swift. Everyone is talking about
are they dating? Oh, they're quote hanging out. I mean
they're sleeping together. Does I mean they're getting kiro molmachiatos together, pumptes.
I'll just say that hanging out. I don't know what
that means nowadays. But yeah, for me in the two thousands,
(13:05):
when I was a single guy, in the mid twenty
twenty tens, when I was to me, hanging out was
like trying to sleep with them, trying. Yeah, maybe I am.
Maybe I'll least move quick. In twenty twenty three. I
want to let you guys know, we did our bonus
podcast yesterday. It's called Over promised. It airs live and
is available anytime on the Fox Sports Radio YouTube page
(13:26):
and wherever you stream your podcast you could listen. Just
search over promise because Rich Davis over promises tons of
things we don't have time for, but we get to it.
On our bonus show, we did discuss which celebrity athlete
power couple will last longer not in the bedroom as
a couple. Is it Taylor Swift and Kelsey or Kim
Kardashian and Objy, And of course we talked coach Prime
(13:50):
and more, but we did discuss it. Check it out. Well,
here's what Travis Kelcey finally said about Taylor Swift. He
was on the McAfee show.
Speaker 5 (13:58):
Got through it out there through the ball on our court,
and you know, I told her, you know, maybe i've
seen you rock the stage and Arrowhead. You might have
to come see me rock a stage in Arrowhead and
see which one's a little more lit.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
So we'll see, uh, we'll see what happens in the
near feature. It is so lit. I love the fact
that these two could be together. I never get wrapped
up in like the I like pop culture stuff, but
I never get wrapped up in the celebrity couples. I'm like,
who cares, it's not me. I don't know their relationship.
I'm not into that. But for some reason, I feel
like a real man like Travis Kelcey, Taylor Swift dates
(14:31):
like WEENI pop guys that like, you know, skinny dudes
that like sing know what sort of beefcakes she's been
with behind closed doors. But what I'm saying, like most
of the theies you know known for dating like they like,
you know, like the artsy, skinny type of sensitive, she
might need a man like Travis Kelcey And who knows.
(14:51):
This could be magic. But I have a theory, so
don't worry. I'm gonna be talking about dating. My theory
is if she does go see Travis Kelsey at Arrowhead,
let me break out the schedule, because my theory goes
a little something like this hit it. It's gotta be
a must, It's gotta be a easy Chiefs win because
(15:13):
this Sunday, this Sunday, it's got to be against the
Bear because Ramos. Think about it. If Travis Kelcey finally
gets Taylor Swift to come see a game, She's sitting
in the booth with mahomes wife and they're all like,
there she is. Every five minutes, the camera on Fox
of CBS is like, and there's Taylor Swift here to
see her. Man, if they lose that game, oh my goodness,
(15:36):
with the sports and entertainment world run with like the
curse of Taylor's Yes, the answer is yes or God forbid,
Kelsey has a bad game, right, Oh, it's because Taylor
Swift was there. They need to see they need to
have a guarantee and it might be, but they need
to break out the analytics, like what team does poorly
defensively against tight ends? Which team will the Chiefs rock?
(15:58):
Because you can't bring and Taylor Swift to watch Travis
Kelce on a primetime game where they have a tough opponenty. No,
that might sound silly to some people listening to Fox
Sports Radio, but I actually think it's a legitimate point.
I just want to back you up on remember who
showed up to? Which basketball What basketball game did Michael
(16:18):
Jackson show up to? Like they literally had to stop
it and ask him to leave that right because it
was such a distraction. It was such a big deal.
I'm not saying tailor, I mean I'm not saying it,
but other people do. Compare Taylor Swift's popularity to Michael Jackson.
I mean down City's fun of me. Yeah, She's the
biggest thing going, so she is a distraction in itself.
(16:41):
So if they were to have a bad game or
even lose the game, or if Travis Kelce were to
not play well, guaranteed that would be the story. Rich
is not wrong. And you know, again, I'm not the
biggest swiftye but I do recognize the fact that she
has a concert and the parking lot is filled with
(17:01):
thousands of people that can't get in, and they rather
just sing in the parking lot. It's insane.
Speaker 3 (17:07):
I looked it up for you, Rich, Which defense gives
up the most points to tight ends so far for
twenty twenty three The Chargers one, the Giants two, the
Chicago Bears three.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
Get her to arrowhead stat It's got to be this
weekend or bust, because you know where their next few
home games are, Danny Gy, the Chargers and the Broncos.
You don't want to do a division game that could
get fishy, and then the Eagles come to town. I
don't like that either. The Bills no well, you gotta
get Taylor's roof there. This say, this weekend would be
(17:40):
the number one answer on the board. But she's off
and by the way, early public and there hasn't even
been been a photo of these two as far as
we know, put out there. So it'd be a little
soon for that to happen. Yeah, I don't know, it'd
be a little soon for the telling you think, remember
she has an image. Her fans would be like, all right,
you think you think that I'm loving the pop culture
(18:06):
angle of this. I'm really just logistically thinking about what
it would mean for Travis Kelcey and the Chiefs if
Taylor Shift comes in there and they lose, it's a distraction.
And then it because but when you look at her
touring schedule, because you have to look at her touring
schedule and the Chiefs home schedule. She goes back out
on tour in November, So we got like a month
(18:26):
window here of where could Taylor Swift go see Travis
Kelcey and it not be terrible? All Right, it's the
Taylor Swift schedule watch on the Cavino and Rich Show.
It's actually the Taylor Swift schedule curse. Watch because depending
on when she goes that could be the storyline. We
want to prevent that from happening. But I don't think
it will be the Sunday or Thursday night football against
(18:48):
the Broncos on October twelfth, because then she goes back
on tour and they start playing really tough teams at home.
And by the way, I was right Michael Jackson to
see Magic Johnson play with the Lakers, one of the
first celebrities to show support after the whole HIV thing
to Magic Johnson, and Johnston recalls in a recent article
(19:12):
two that he invited Michael Jackson to a Lakers game
and they had to stop the game to get him
out because it was such a distraction. Imber that, Yeah,
I remember that story as well. So if that's the
sort of reaction to Michael Jackson gets, what sort of
reaction are you gonna get when Taylor Swift shows up
(19:33):
to support Travis Kelsey. It might sound ridiculous, it does,
but it's it's reacting because it is ridiculous. But when
you think about what's reported on TMZ Sports and what
people talk about on Fox Sports, ESPN everywhere, this Travis
Kelcey tellers swift thing. You know who's talking about it.
You would think Kavin on Richwood because we talk about
a lot of nonsense. Cowhard's talking about it. Stephen A like,
(19:54):
we're talking about the analytical guys. They are talking about
two big megastars. And by the way, I'll prove it
to you right now. This is going to be the
headline if they were to lose, or if Kelsey were
to have a bad game. Had we known that Kim
Kardashian was dating Odell Beckham Junior prior to his injury,
the second he rolled his ankle, people will be like, oh,
that's the Kim Kardashian curse. If we had known that,
(20:18):
we would have been saying, oh, I heard his ankle
because of Kim Kardashian. Oh he's cursed.
Speaker 4 (20:22):
Is she up in the in the suite with Patrick
Mahomes's wife?
Speaker 1 (20:25):
That would I bet my picture sitting next to each other.
She gets her own suite and Britney Mahomes hates her. No,
that's the other storyline. She's throwing beer on fans with
Britney Mahomes. Yeah, she starts do with TikTok, dances with
the brother. That's the other made up storyline. But look,
it does sound crazy, but when you think about what
(20:46):
a megastar she is. Right now, this is how you
have to prevent like it could be a pr nightmare.
And you know they both have teams protecting them if
it weren't played out properly. Because what happens when some
one starts dating another celebrity in the sports world, if
they start performing poorly? Yeah, distraction for the reason, right,
(21:06):
they're the reason. So my point is, if you roll
in Taylor Swift to Arrowhead this weekend they're playing the Bears,
Kelsey eight catches, ninety yards touchdown. Oh she's great. If
you roll in Taylor Swift when they're you know, playing
the Eagles at home and they lose and Kelsey has
five yard you know, five catches for thirty yards, all
of a sudden, Taylor Shift's the worst and she's a distraction. Okay,
(21:28):
so it's gone public. You heard the SoundBite Taylor Swift schedule,
watch the cursewatch potential cursewatch. And here's the second nugget
of the story and question we're going to pose to
you and we'll get your feedback next based on this
sort of commotion that could potentially happen. Is she the
most famous person in the world right now? Right now?
(21:51):
Not ever, I'm saying right now? Or do you put
her in the top three, five or ten? Who is
the most famous person? And we have a theory. We'll
get to that. Plus Kirk Cousins, could he be on
the move And I want to play a round of
I just think you're full of bull junk. There's a
coach in the NFL that's full of it. I'll call
him out next right here on Cavino and Rich when's
(22:12):
the last time you looked at your tires, Dicky Doodle Davis.
You know, actually I'm going I'm going to check out
my tires later today, believe or not. I feel like
one years I feel like you're full of bull junk
because you're all excited about the game tonight. No, you're right,
so I'll do tomorrow. Okay, we mean close inspection because
worn out tires are a danger to you, your passengers
and other drivers. They take longer to stop, not to mention,

One of my good friends got married on September twenty first,
and they told the wedding DJ, do not play this song.
It was on there do not playlist, and why don't
you know? Halfway through the night, the DJ's like, I
don't care. Why would they be against it. It's a
great song. Yeah, some people don't like the cliche songs
at their wedding, but they probably did the Chicken dance.
They were against that one, No, dummy, that was the
(25:22):
whole point. They had a list of songs like the
Chicken Dance and Macarina and like and it's we're getting
out in the twenty first of September. Don't play that song.
And the DJ's like, okay, but they did Hot Hot
Hot Buster point dexter for the Congo line. They did
the Conga line and the Cupid shuffle. But nah, not

Swelthy their power couple nicknames. What you're saying, right, Swelsea
like Kelsey and Swiftywell, yeah, you.
Speaker 7 (26:42):
Gotta come up with a blend that's got you could
get kiss everybody.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
It's a good one, you know. But I'm glad you
do feelis JD. Because I know there's a lot of
guys like who cares about Tayling Swift? But Swell, you
do realize the distraction it could be or the fun
it could be really depends on when she goes to Arrowhead.
There was a lot of speculation that she will have
a song titled Number eighty seven about their breakup sometime
(27:07):
next year. Well, Ramos, just to wrap it up, can
you play the clip of Travis Kelcey when he was
with McAfee.
Speaker 5 (27:12):
Got through it out there through the ball in our court,
And you know, I told her, you know, maybe i've
seen you rock the stage and Arrowhead. You might have
to come see me rock a stage in Arrowhead and
see which one's a little more lit.
Speaker 1 (27:22):
So we'll see, we'll see what happens in the near feature. No,
you got game, Travis Kelsey got ca. I got one
trailer Travis and Tail. I think that works well true
if she does til I'm trying to figure it out myself.
We got to be ahead of the game. I know
if she goes to Arrowhead to see him, it'll be
a big deal. Like you said, when Magic Johnson invited
(27:43):
Michael Jackson to see a Lakers game and it was
pandemonium back. It was such a distraction he had to
stop the game and get him out.
Speaker 4 (27:50):
And Rich you were talking about and and Kovino about
the fact that you know she's had a bunch of
kind of like, you know, you.
Speaker 1 (27:56):
Could say it Ramos, we need type of boyfriend. H say,
what wasn't successful more successful than me? But her boyfriends
are like the artsy musician who's skinny. That's like, I
have feeling. Kelsey is a.
Speaker 4 (28:09):
Bro right if you listen to that cut, he doesn't say, like,
you know, if she wants to come by some time.
Speaker 1 (28:14):
He's like, I've been your place, you come to mind? Yeah,
let's see who's more. That's right. So it's Travis kelce which,
by the way, we've talked about this on our over
Promised podcast yesterday. We've all dated different types of people,
and maybe it's time, you know, you start you think
the same type of person over and over. Give you
date a bunch of fiery Latina chicks and you're like,
I think I've had enough of that. You might want
to go in a different direction. Travis Kelcey and Taylor
(28:37):
may be true. It Ramos is true because every ex
girlfriend I had ended up with some nerd after me
too much yea for the exact opposite, too much much.
She's yeah, I dated the manliest guy Cavino. I need
a nerd now, That's exactly what I love this nerd.
(28:59):
Well on that note, let's go to our buddy, Damn Buyer.
Speaker 3 (29:04):
I think that Travis Kelcey should be introduced in that
mobile trailer that they take Taylor Swift to the stage.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
The mobile canting units.
Speaker 3 (29:14):
Yeah, he could just you know, number eighty seven and
have three guys wheel him out.
Speaker 1 (29:18):
That's sweet. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (29:19):
It was a much better idea in my head now
that I said it, as it's a great visual. It
was really really really stupid, all right, what.
Speaker 1 (29:26):
You said was stupid when when we were in the
kitchen during the break and you said your Niners are
going to come out flat tonight. I do. I do
think that is the case? Really what? Yeah, just you know,
just to look past it to No.
Speaker 3 (29:37):
No, I think I think that it's a short week
for them off of two road games. I think they
just want to get this week over with and moving
the next week. No Brandon Ayuk, which I was going
to tell you he's not expected to play tonight Target
and honestly without Saquon Barkley, I don't think that the
Niners need to play their A game to get a
(29:57):
win tonight, and I think that they'll come not a
bit rusty and.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
Has a lot of points for a Thursday night rusty game.
Speaker 3 (30:05):
Exactly exactly, but I've been wrong before, especially on the
I Want Your Flex podcast. New episode dropped earlier today.
Cowboys corner Trayvon Diggs serverned a knee injury in practice today.
Done for the season. Cowboys have confirmed the news. Tore
his ACL MRI confirmed the injury. Dig signed a five year,
ninety seven million dollar extension in the offseason. Now done
(30:28):
after two games this year at Pants Yeah. Panthers quarterback
Bryce Young not gonna play against the Seahawks on Sunday.
He missed a second straight practice today because of an
ankle injury. Panthers are saying he's not likely going to play,
with Andy Dalton likely getting to start in Week three.
Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson remains a concussion protocol was not
at practice today. Bengals head coach Zach Taylor called Joe
(30:49):
Burrow day to day. They have the Rams Monday night,
he's got that calf injury, and Bears jim Ryan Poles
stuck up for his quarterback Justin Fields today.
Speaker 8 (30:56):
Terms of Justin that can't be more clear than this.
No one in ourn't our building. None of our coaches
see Justin as a finger pointer at all. Is always
taking ownership of anything that's happened on the field. He
works with his teammates, works with his coaches.
Speaker 3 (31:10):
Fine solution, Bears have the Chiefs and Travis Kelcey on Sunday.
Brewers a six to zero win today in Saint Louis
over the Cardinals. Their magic number to clinch the NL
Central is three raised top the Angels five to four.
With two in the ninth, they're two back of Baltimore
for first in the AL East Baltimore Tonight in Cleveland, guys, back.
Speaker 1 (31:27):
To you, thank you, Damn Dan Bayer. His story sucks. Yeah,
if you're a Cowboys fan that said, that's that's a
big hit man. That's a big that's a big one
and bad timing. You know, they got a lot of
momentum going, a lot of excitement out for the season practice.
That sucks. To wrap up the tailor stuff so we
could put it aside for the rest of the show.
(31:49):
Do you think she's a top three to five famous
person on planet Earth right now? Rob Moos is nodding yes.
Speaker 4 (31:56):
Most definitely a top five, most definitely.
Speaker 1 (31:59):
I think theumber one is whether you love him or
hate him. I really believe that if you play a
game of not the best person, not worst person, like
most recognizable, everyone would know him if you show, hey,
here's a picture, like in the eighties, Hulk Hogan once
told us, I'll name drop. Hogan said in the mid
to late eighties, there was research done where Mickey Mouse
and Hulk Hogan were some of the most recognizable faces
(32:21):
in the world. And Muhammad Ali. If you showed a
kid in Africa or someone in Europe or Asia America, hey,
people knew, Oh that's Hulk Hogan or Mickey Mouse. Those
are the two ones that were most popular. Then it
would be hard to tell me. And I don't I
a hard time believing you if you said Donald Trump's
not the most popular person on planet Earth. Not But
(32:46):
is there a human that's like, I don't know who
that guy is because before he was jungle somewhere and
recognize that fake pan and that hair, like, yeah, I
guy from America. Before he was the most polarizing president,
you know, half the word loves him, have to world
hates him. He was a celebrity before that. He's been
a figure forever. I think the answer is Donald Trump.
(33:06):
It would be Donald Trump, maybe some other world leaders.
Taylor Swift might be a top five because music again
goes international. Recently just here at Fox Sports Radio Moncey
and actually it was just Moncey. She did a whole
poll like who's more famous? Remember Taylor Swift or James
And it's overwhelmingly Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift is a huge star,
(33:29):
whether you like her music or not. I mean, if now,
I'd say she is top five if you take away
honestly a big part of the world, the United States.
Well what about Michael Jordan. No, but I'm saying what
we do, Hey, he's probably still a top five answer.
If you took away US, which is a big part
of the world, guys like Ronaldo and Messi would be
(33:49):
top five answers. It just we throw off those statistics
because we're the weirdo country that doesn't like soccer. But
I mean that's four people. Hold on Donald Trump. Taylor Shit,
that's one world leader. Because you could probably say, well,
there's probably other world leaders that could be in this conversation,
you think just because of his funny bess and because
he's a dictator. That's exactly what I was thinking. He's
(34:10):
very recognizable, right, So I'm leaving him out though, because
you could say Michael Jordan as a brand, dude, that
brand is worldwide. Then we already said two soccer stars
Ronaldo Messi, Messi, they're internationally huge. So you're saying Taylor
Swift is right after that? Maybe not in top five?
(34:31):
King Charles, Yeah, King Charles, King Charles out. You got
Prince William when the Queen was alive. When the Queen
was alive, she was the top five.
Speaker 3 (34:40):
Yeah, I think the King is the top five. I
would say Prince William's top Rich hates the Royal.
Speaker 1 (34:44):
I hate the Royal family. I'm more of a fan
of King Harley Race. Do you remember him? Jerry? The
King Lawler. Only royal family rich one's talking about is
George Brett's If you go out with the Royal Family, if.
Speaker 3 (34:57):
You shoes bread, George Brett's Knight in Vegas. This story out,
that is the best story.
Speaker 1 (35:03):
Listen. If you told me go all the Royal family,
I'd rather choose Dan Quisenberry family than the Royal family.
All right, thank you, Dan Byer. We got more Cavino
and Rich. Next we're gonna talk some Kirk cousins. We'll
talk about some old school and fifty hits. But let
me tell you, every man needs an egg other guy
working on his edge right now, whether you have one
or not. Testosterone levels they're at an all time low
(35:25):
individual t levels and men decline one percent or more
or more. You know what the key is. It should
be in bold right here, one percent or more every
year with the age. There's natural testosterone boosters from Chock
and now we've been talking about Chalk because the male
vitality stack it's been studied to boost testosterone twenty percent
in ninety days. Don't be the lazy slug. I always

Throwback Thursday, it's CNR and FSR. By the way, Cavino
and Rich on Fox Sports Radio. There is a serious
argument and debate that's made often on social media and
(36:28):
in barbershops and hip hop circles. Danny g You'd be
the leader of this discussion as a hip hop guru.
But a lot of people say this could be the
most famous hip hop song of all time because of
the popularity and how.
Speaker 3 (36:42):
Every most recognizable.
Speaker 1 (36:45):
Yeah, you're not gonna put it up legitimate wise against
like a k Z or a you know, I Rip
or Biggie, But.
Speaker 3 (36:52):
I was going to say, I remember reading an article
that said you can't touch This might be the only
other song that was more recognizable across the world.
Speaker 1 (37:01):
There's a huge song with the Elected or Not. You
know the backstory and I throw Back Thursday is that
Jazzy Jeff. They went to Jazzy Jeff to make the
song the theme song for the Fresh Prince of bel Air,
and he made that in fifteen minutes, thinking it was
just for the pilot, right, so he put no extra
effort into it. Thought it was just like, yeah, I'll
get to the real one when the show gets picked
(37:23):
up and that one stuck. So he made that in
fifteen minutes.
Speaker 3 (37:26):
Sometimes that is how the best art is made because
you think about it. And it's true in sports too.
What happens when you press too hard.
Speaker 1 (37:34):
Try too hard? True in the playoffs, we always say
scripting the bat too tight. You know you're trying too hard.
It doesn't work in life and in sports, and the
relationships man does tie together with the last conversation of
we were saying, who's the most popular face in the
world right now? As far as hip hop songs, you're right,
it's not a Tupac Biggie Nas Jay z Eminem type
(37:57):
of argument, Bim C Hammer. As far as recognized ball,
I don't know many people that you hear that those
first couple notes and you're like, oh, first Prince Ofvilla. Yeah,
so many people know it because of the popularity. And
we bring that song up on a throwback Thursday for
a very particular reason. I think it's time right, there's
a curtain. What we gonna do is go back.
Speaker 9 (38:22):
Back into time, throwing it back for a Thursday. Old
School went fifty hits. That's fifty after CNR give you
the Time capsule topic and we reminisce together.
Speaker 7 (38:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (38:35):
Now, no matter how old school you are, if you're
a kid of the seventies, eighties, kid of the nineties,
we all love to throw it back to our childhood,
the days of playing tech bo ball, tackle football with
a football, wearing your starter jacket, your new sneakers for
the start of the school year. Yeah, you could go
back with all these things. And today we celebrate the
birthday of a dude that was dancing with Michael Jackson
(38:59):
and Pepsi Marcials, a dude that was on Silver Spoons,
but most famously on the French Prince of bel Air
doing the Carlton and I'm talking about Alfonso Ribero. Happy
fifty second birthday to Alfonso Robiro, who was a big
part of my childhood.
Speaker 7 (39:19):
Rich.
Speaker 1 (39:19):
We were joking about it earlier today on our Patreon
from the Tap Dance Kid. He was on Broadway. He
was doing all these breakdance poping.
Speaker 3 (39:27):
Lock, yes, the Michael Jackson glove.
Speaker 1 (39:29):
Yeah, breakdown. He had all that stuff. He was a
dancing kid. He was a celebrity kid. Opposite Ricky Schroeder,
opposite Michael Jackson, and then opposite Will Smith. And throughout
the years he sort of created this nerdy character and
he sort of ended up with this nerdy reputation in
(39:52):
nerdy stigma because of this Carlton character, but because he
played it so well. And we have a lot of
our friends that are watching The Fresh Prince of bel
Air reminiscing with their kids now and they look back
and they realized, you know, the show wouldn't have been
as much of a hit as it was if it
wasn't for Carlton and Alfonso Obriro's character. And that got
us thinking, Yeah, I mean, first of all, great dude,
(40:15):
not the name drop, but Keavino and I have had
him on the show many times over the years. In fact,
we bumped into him at a party once and we
had just had him on the show, so he was
a familiar We were familiar faces because we had seen
him like a day before, and it was one of
those events where we didn't really know anyone, and I
don't think he knew anyone. So we ended up hanging
with Alfonso Robero the whole night. Yeah, and he is
a really good dude, and it brings up the whole
(40:37):
conversation of the best ancillary characters in TV shows, the
best ancillary players on a team, like the guy that
wasn't designed to hit the walk off hit, but he did.
It's a fan favorite that came out of nowhere, the
guy that made the show. And I'll give you an example.
I mean might be the number one example of our
(41:00):
childhood family matters debuted as part of tgif the Winslow's
that was supposed to be the show got any cheese.
Erkle was just the neighbor who was supposed to be
the ancillary character the Randa Like, oh, the neighbor, the
nerdy kid that likes Laura ends up being the star
(41:22):
of the show. They have Erkle dolls. You pulled the
string on his back. Yeah, he was a Jaleel White
became the star of that show. Of the show Allah,
our buddy Neil Patrick Harris, who How I Met your Mother?
A story about Ted Mosby and how he met his wife,
The womanizing, which is Ironicus in real life. He's a
gay man. Neil Patrick Harris, the Womanizer. Barney Stinson becomes
(41:45):
the star.
Speaker 2 (41:45):
Of the show.
Speaker 1 (41:46):
So Alfonso Roberol's Carlton character became a scene stealer, right,
it wouldn't have been the same without the guy he was.
I mean, look, Will Smith is a big star, but
Carlton was the comedy relief. He sort of made it funny.
So the contest hilary characters in entertainment and in sports,
the surprising superstars. We want you guys to think about it, nominate, somebody,
(42:09):
talk about it. Let's chop it up here on the
Covino and Riches, I would say Carlton was to Will
Smith what a Pippen was to Jordan. That's strong number two,
that strong number two. That uh, it wouldn't have been
the same without him, that show would not have been
the same. But if it was just Will I don't
want to give away all the answers, but I got
some good ones. I got shoes. We need the rest
(42:30):
up to you, sports, movies, music, the the breakout star,
that unexpected, unexpected breakout star. We'll get to your answers
next here on Covino and rich
