from New Orleans, got to check them out. Lots of

(01:18):
great interviews and we did a bonus podcast over Promised
with Gary Vaynerchuk that's also on Fox Sports Radios YouTube page.
Lots of videos, lots of shows if you missed it.
We had a great time in New Orleans and happy
to be back in LA. By the way, I'm seeing
the turning point of the Super Bowl. You know, you
think about when did it go from like ooh, can
Mahomes make a sweet come back? To you know, this

(01:40):
game stinks and it's over with a minute forty left
in the half, when Philly was up seventeen to nothing,
and you're like, all right, they got a minute forty something,
they get a field goal, that it's seventeen to three,
two score game, they get the ball, or even if
Mahomes scores a touchdown, it's a ten point game. When
he threw is that when he threw that interception and
then Philly scored like a play later or so when

(02:01):
I was twenty four to nothing.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
That was it. That was the to me. That's when
you're like, oh, this is not happening.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
How about when Hopkins dropped that wide open pass and
he had all that green in front of him. Oh?

Speaker 1 (02:11):
Is that when Chris Jones like fell to his knees.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
Yes? God, And I think all Chiefs fans must have
felt like that. Anyone who gambled on the Chiefs must
have felt like that. And their body language after that
it was like they were done. How about this?

Speaker 2 (02:24):
You know what made me say, hmmm, how Jalen Hurts
won in grand fashion because Saquon Barkley wasn't much of
an impact player during the game.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
What do you have fifty something yards?

Speaker 4 (02:34):
Yeah? Then two yards of carries?

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Yeah, So he wasn't much of a factor here and
Jalen Hurts was able to step up, make some great
plays and really dominate the game. So, you know, props
to him, and happy birthday to Saquon and the genet.
I got two more quickie things that maybe go h
and we'll get to your feedback. I just saw the

(02:58):
Gatorade dump again. I think it's a top five gator
a dump of all time.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
You know, what. They nailed it.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
There was no miss. It was like Sirianna got blasted.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
Headphones flew off his head, his hood came up over
his head and then kind of sat there and it
looked cool. Good was it was a very clear and
they did a little like maneuver to get there and they.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
Did it early. Wasn't suspecting it. They did right.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
They did a little sneak around and then you saw
it was Adre Brown, right, he was part of that
was the DeVante Smith.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
I'm forgetting they did was part of it.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
They did a little sneak around and it was a
good one. And the other observation was, did you hear
if you feel like you need a little Monday a
Monday cry? Did you hear the voicemail the message that
Saquan's daughter left him before the game?

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Have you got kids, especially a daughter? You might cry
after you listen to this.

Speaker 5 (04:00):
Hi, Daddy, yay for your big kay. Yeah, I really
really really hope you when and Daddy even I'm really
thankful that you've been caring for your whole family.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
And I know you're gonna.

Speaker 5 (04:22):
Win, but if you don't, that is okay. I'll always
always love you. And I see you always love you.
You probably would always love you, and your mother and
father would always love you. Whole family would always love
you no matter what you do. I love you so much,
Sady for taking care of me and Sca and mommy

(04:45):
big blessing. I love you, Daddy.

Speaker 4 (04:52):
What that drone behind? I thought that was you playing
organ underneath of it.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
Rich, It was Rich trying to play like sentimental music
house moment.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
The only thing that makes me want to cry about
that is the fact that it eventually turns into them
rolling their eyes at you. And they're teenagers, so yeah,
that makes me want to cry. But no, speaking of kids,
that was a sentimental moment. But you already mentioned Sirianni's
kid and Bradley Cooper's kid. I was impressed that they
knew how to spell eagles and yet their own mayor

(05:23):
did not to spell eagles.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
So I thought that was kind of made me say hmm.
For the first time ever in my life, I tried.
I attempted to watch a Super Bowl with a toddler
running around. Oh yeah, lord, sandhelp, yeah yeah. Leave them
in the kiddy room, keep them at the kiddie table.
Let's go to your feedback.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
Things that made you go hm, whether it's commercials, halftime,
the game. Let's start with Ryan and Seattle. What's up Ryan?

Speaker 6 (05:47):
They totally agree the Hopkins drop and the not getting
three points before half time. But one play that I
haven't heard talked about yet.

Speaker 7 (05:58):
And I'm not a.

Speaker 8 (05:59):
Chief's hat or a Kelsey hater, but I think.

Speaker 7 (06:01):
It was early third quarter.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
I thought it wasn't over yet, and then.

Speaker 8 (06:07):
Kelsey had that.

Speaker 4 (06:08):
It was about third and fourteen.

Speaker 6 (06:12):
Kelsey got about ten yards and then he didn't fight.

Speaker 8 (06:14):
For the four more yards.

Speaker 7 (06:15):
Do you guys remember that play?

Speaker 2 (06:16):
Yeah, it's a play where there are times where Kelsey
was like, somehow found a way, But.

Speaker 4 (06:20):
Yeah, it did. It wasn't their day, man, It's just
again I said it.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
He came in with a really bald outfit. I don't
know if you saw that get Disco star. He looked
like he was, you know, in a seventies throwback sort
of shaft kind of mode.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
He had on some seventies gear. It looked like with
some cool shade.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
Looked like a Saturday Night Live skit. Yeah, when you
roll in like that, you gotta play big.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
I feel like it didn't match the vibe, so it
just was more embarrassing.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
Take a look. Not a lot of Tailor Swift shots either.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
I made me say NFL Network replaying the game, now,
take a look at the lower third. Is it clean
or too elementary? Like when you look at it, clean it.
It's not blocked much of the game at all. And
I think, you know, sometimes the graphics get a bit
you know, intrusive where it's taken up like you know,
a portion of the screen, like really simple clean.

Speaker 4 (07:09):
I like it.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
No complaints for me. What was the over underarm shots
to Taylor Swift? Well, the under hit because I feel
I was we saw her just in the beginning she
got booed and that was it.

Speaker 4 (07:20):
And what did they catch her saying, like.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
What is happening something like that, what's going on?

Speaker 4 (07:24):
What's going on after the booze?

Speaker 9 (07:27):
Yeah, well, yeah, they're booing you because you're dating a chief.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
And it was seventy five percent Eagles fans.

Speaker 4 (07:34):
Yeah, oh yeah, well we knew that because of opening night.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
Yeah, we were there all week and Danny Danny points out,
he goes, Yo, look up everyone and everyone in that Superdome,
with the exception of a couple of Chiefs fan there
was a lot of green.

Speaker 10 (07:48):
Up and they were allowed to. And you remember, this
is the same fan base that you know decades ago
through snowballs at Santa Claus.

Speaker 4 (07:56):
You'll never live that down. Huh. They're gonna They're gonna
boo Taylor Swift. That's just it's totally part for them,
no doubt.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
So here here's my question, based off of everything we
saw yesterday. We talked about the halftime show, we talked
about the commerci shows, we talked, we covered it all
like everyone else has. Jalen hurts when you went into
this postseason storylines, Will Mahomes three, Pete Josh Allen, MVP

(08:23):
Halie Steinfeld engaged. Is this his year that the Bill's
Mafia finally get one? Lamar Jackson having one of the
best runs of quarterback ever had was this year He's
gonna get over.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
The hump the Lions fifteen and two? Is Campbell take
them all the way Minnesota with with Sam Donald?

Speaker 2 (08:41):
Like the Eagles are like the sixth storyline, and I
think because of that they were like under the radar.
So much of the season was a big storyline, was
a big story Yeah, maybe it was just I feel
like you knew they were a solid team and there
was not a lot of drama around them. They were
just consistently solid. And then Jaden Daniels emerging. I really

(09:02):
think that there was a sense of the Eagles. For
as big of a market team they were, I think
they were really sort of under the radar. So now
you got to ask yourself when everyone talks about the
greats and who's the elite quarterbacks, that eye rolling conversation,
who's elite? Guess who doesn't have a Super Bowl Lamar Jackson,
Josh Allen, Justin Herbert, Joe Burrow. Oh and mind you,

(09:25):
Jalen Hurts has been at two of them. Yeah, so
now you got what twenty six You got to say
to yourself, Well, where does Jalen Hurts fit into the conversation?
If he's been to two Super Bowls and he won.

Speaker 4 (09:34):
One, who's in the conversation.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
If he wasn't before, now he is, And he's got
a win where they don't, and he beat what we
were calling the next goat, So major bragging rights for
the guy. If that's how you get in the conversation,
if you judged on winning and losing, we had this
conversation in the beginning of the season. Remember, we named
all the young quarterbacks in the league, and we're like,
you think they'll win one? And we're like, well, guess

(09:56):
what we just named, like twenty young quarterbacks, maybe four
of them.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
Will win one. Mark Jalen Hurts down.

Speaker 4 (10:03):
I don't think anybody was in Unison saying that they
thought Hurts was gonna win one. And now there were
topics on TV today is this the start of a
new dynasty in the NFL? Well, the Eagles do it again.
And honestly, except and I got to give our show props.
We goof on ourselves all the time when we're wrong,
and that's often the case more than being right. But

(10:25):
all the way back to the weekend prior when we
were in Vegas for the Benavitas fight, we were talking
about Jalen Hurts and who has more motivation and you
guys were arguing about it a lot, and that kicked
off the week in New Orleans as well, because the
storylines were Mahomes, Mahomes, Mahomes, Chiefs three Peete, and we
talked about that. Rich, remember, because you were saying, hey, man,

(10:46):
it's history, it's history, and Covino's argument was, well, the
Eagles are hungrier. Remember Hurts sitting at his locker room
emotional saying, I dropped the ball in that last Super Bowl.
I'm going to be back. I'm going to have revenge.
And we said that we thought the Eagles had a
lot to play for, especially Hurts. We were not hearing that.
We weren't hearing the Jalen Hurts storyline as much as

(11:07):
I thought we would at all. And then every day
suddenly this morning it's Jalen Hurts as the headline. And
of course he should because he's the MVP. But how
many of these media dudes pivoted so quickly when they
were slobbering all over mahomes the past couple of weeks.
They absolutely were so right about that.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
We play a post NFL season round of do you
think they'll ever win? Because we got Jalen Hurts winning one?
MANSI I want you know this, okay, because we did
this at the beginning of the season, and everyone's like,
oh yeah, oh yeah. The answer was yes to too many,
and you got to remind yourself, dynasties happened. Guys win
more than once. You know, there's been legends like Dan

(11:49):
Marino that walked away with zero right. I mean, let's
start and I'll name some people. You tell me, will they.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
Ever at a Super Bowl?

Speaker 4 (11:58):
So ever?

Speaker 2 (11:59):
Ok?

Speaker 4 (11:59):
Career?

Speaker 2 (12:00):
Well, because you saw I got like Philip Rivers right,
like whole season, whole career, Josh Allen, No, I've changed
my stance on him.

Speaker 4 (12:09):
You think he'll never never.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
They're the quints essential like really great, really good, never
get their kind of team.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
Damn.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
You would think though, because he's so great, I get it.

Speaker 4 (12:20):
I thought he was done and he changed my mind
to yes, okay, I think he would have gave the
the Eagles a better game yesterday. I agree with you.
I do think Alan's going to get one Super Bowl
ring at some point. Yeah, yes, Sam spot anyone, Yeah.

Speaker 10 (12:37):
I agreat yeah, see yeah, yeah, just because he's athletic
enough and there. But it's like when you're in the
AFC and you have to get rid of the Chiefs
just to get to the Super Bowl to then beat
the NFC team. That's actually harder to do than being
the NFC team. Just getting one shot against the Chiefs
and then your Super Bowl cheap.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
But s didn't we all think that this was the
year for them to do it, and he didn't.

Speaker 4 (12:58):
But I hate to say it. I hate to say it.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
I'm a you know how many of those opportunities window
to do it?

Speaker 4 (13:04):
This she actually heard in the preseason. Oh the Bills
are taking a step back. Remember that was a narrative
of that was that was and they surprised a lot
of people with how great of a season they are.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
Yeah, I got one for you ready, Well, hold on,
let's keep this in mind. As he gets older, he's
going to have to adjust his game. He can't be
reckless like that forever forever either, So, but he could
he make those adjustments. Joe Burrow, Yes, I think because
they were there and they played well, I think they'll
get back. I think he's a guy that could carry

(13:35):
a team through the postseason if he's hot and he
has that team though.

Speaker 4 (13:40):
That's the thing. The ownership around him.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
Question whether he can do it.

Speaker 4 (13:45):
He can do it, but it's a team of sport.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
Right, Lamar Jackson, Yes, there will be a year he
gets over the hump.

Speaker 4 (13:53):
What do you think, Cove? Yes, I think so.

Speaker 8 (13:57):
Man.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
Yes, if there if there is a god, he has
he has to win. He's too good to not win one,
but they got Derrick Henry. If they still if they
continue to build around him and this team, yeah, I
think they could do it. The funny part is we
keep thinking of the same big guys, right, but then
as they get older, the bow Nixes of the world and.

Speaker 4 (14:18):
Daniel But are you talking about AFC.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
We take Strouds of the world, there's gonna be other guys.
That's Star Levice's of the world. No, that's right, it's cute,
you know, Sanders Drake.

Speaker 4 (14:30):
Yeah, so you never know.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
How about this one? Jordan's love in Green Bay.

Speaker 10 (14:36):
I'm gonna say I'm just as a Packer fan, I'm
gonna say no, Wow, yeah, I good too early, So
I'm saying no.

Speaker 4 (14:42):
If you're a fan, you're supposed to say yes.

Speaker 10 (14:44):
But I'm being I'm I look at him and I'm
like out of far Rogers in love and I haven't
seen enough of him yet. Not a big sample size,
not a big enough sample size. I just feel like
it's not gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
And not to name drop, but we talked to Drew
Brees about all these young quarterbacks on radio Row Drew Brees,
my boy, we talked to him last week, and he
was just going on and on about how much great
talent there is in the quarterback position. So you know,
it is interesting to think about that not everybody's gonna
win one. Speaking of your boy, Drew Brees, he spoke

(15:16):
highly of Jaden Daniels. Was this year the oh my god, shocking,
like they surprised us, but back to like, you know,
good team, but well, Jaden Daniels and the Commanders win
a Super Bowl.

Speaker 8 (15:28):
Bro.

Speaker 4 (15:28):
He's so poised.

Speaker 9 (15:29):
He is so poised that I think he has a
real chance. I actually don't even see a sophomore slump
coming from him.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
But you know, you got to ask yourself, a guy
like a guy that's a quarterback in the NFL usually
has a good tennish years, right, So that means all
these other people somehow you will you're fitting in a
Commander's Super Bowl win.

Speaker 4 (15:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
And we spoke the same way about CJ. Shroud too,
so you got to throw him in the conversation.

Speaker 10 (15:57):
There's a lot of guys in the waiting line right now.
There's a lot so much can.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
I compare it to the coniest thing you'll ever hear
me say? So, you ever watched The Bachelor and he's
got like twenty hot chicks, and it's like, yeah, some
hot tricks just go home and never get the rose.

Speaker 4 (16:12):
Some of the name is analogy but so good at
the same time. Yeah, it's like some got.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
Yo in my hometown on the Hottest Chick. Well, guess what,
You're not getting a rose on The Bachelor. I'm sorry, sorry, Jessica,
it's so you know. And by the way, a new
episode tonight. I need something to help me get over
this super Bowl blues. I haven't started the season, so
we're too intimidated. That's like eight hours of catching up
because too much Bachelor.

Speaker 4 (16:37):
Richie Davis really quick. I got a name for you,
Rock Prety. Yes, you think he's gonna.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
Win a suit like a true fan.

Speaker 4 (16:44):
I didn't even think about it, like a true fan.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
By the way, we got a big scoop over this
past super Bowl week. We had the most random combo
of Seal, the singer, the artist, Seal and Deebo. Samuel
and Deebo spoke so highly.

Speaker 4 (16:59):
Seal the spokesman for the same guy. I thought you're
talking about Flex Seal.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
No, but I promise you never see Seal Flex though
not Phil Swift, the inventor of flex seals, sam the
singer Seal. We had him and Deebo Samuel on the
show and we saw firsthand, and you heard firsthand that
Deebo had nothing but wonderful things to say about playing
with Brock Purty.

Speaker 4 (17:24):
So and that's coming.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
From a guy that's probably never gonna play with him again.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
The fact that he says he wants the trade, you
know from hearing this on Fox Sports Radio, that had
nothing to do with the quarterback situation or what he
thought of Brock, because he seemed to really really admire him.
He talked about his poise, Yeah, talked about like he's
the guy. Remember he even defended him when you said
they got lucky with him.

Speaker 4 (17:43):
He's you know. He was really talked about his command
in the huddle and how amazing of a leader he is.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
Yeah, he went on and he was gushing basically over
Brock Party. So the fact that he requested a trade
goes to show you that he doesn't like where the
team directions going and where the leadership is aside from
quarterback situations. So based on that, Rich, I think Brock
perty is not in a good situation.

Speaker 4 (18:07):
Has it dawned on anyone in this room that I
may have thrown the.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
Last pass to Deebo Samuel as the forty nine er
Tweebo to Deebo goes down in Historybo.

Speaker 4 (18:17):
To Debo, that was good? Did you write that ahead
of time comedy?

Speaker 1 (18:24):
That was good?

Speaker 2 (18:25):
If you go to Cavin on Ritch on Instagram, I
threw him a pass for good. Look I saw yeah,
and I dawned on me like, oh my god, he
might not have been on the team.

Speaker 4 (18:34):
Did I throw the last tuddy? Oh? Well?

Speaker 2 (18:38):
Well again to answer your question, brock Party, though, to me,
it just shows that something's not stirring the kool aid
or something's not right in San Francisco?

Speaker 4 (18:47):
Is it your head coach rich right?

Speaker 11 (18:48):
Like?

Speaker 4 (18:49):
Why would he want your general manager who's rubbing Deebo
the wrong?

Speaker 2 (18:52):
I mean, you know, listen, for every great organization, right,
there's someone unhappy you could talk about, like Fox Sports Radio.
I really do feel like we have great leadership, but
it's gonna be I'm sure there's one or two hosts
and are like unhappy. No matter what, You're not gonna
have fifty three guys unhappy. It just sucks that one
of those unhappy. Are your stars? Let me give you
two more names than we'll take your feedback, stars Stars

(19:14):
Dash Dar Prescott, Well Jack Prescott.

Speaker 4 (19:16):
Everyone think so not as long as Jarah who is alive?
That's true.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
And by the way, I would never root against any
of these people. These are all great stories if they
were to win. But no, I don't think so. At
curtains to the stadium.

Speaker 10 (19:32):
Only if they have curtains, that's good to the damn
Sha keeps skinning in my eyes.

Speaker 4 (19:37):
Yeah they have, Then I'm a monkey fan. Then you rich.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
Caleb Williams, Uh.

Speaker 4 (19:49):
Shut up about the sun?

Speaker 2 (19:52):
Too soon to tell with Caleb, Yeah, you can't make
that assessment yet I didn't.

Speaker 4 (19:57):
How about uh, he said c J. Stroud. Let me
say Kyler Murray. We say no way, but yeah, no,
I haven't felt I don't think so.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
No, But then again, you didn't think the Eagles would
be back so soon.

Speaker 12 (20:13):
Are some of these younger names going to be given
enough time to grow or are they going to be
in and out like most.

Speaker 4 (20:19):
How about the quarterback of Monzi's team, Justin Herbert? Justin Herbert?
How do you beat him out?

Speaker 1 (20:25):
I want to say, yes, I think.

Speaker 4 (20:26):
With the coach. I see we have a back to
Rich's analogy.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
Not everybody gets right. But that's what's crazy.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
I thought it was like, yeah, most of these quarterbacks
will retire with that one.

Speaker 4 (20:39):
And wow, justin such talent, justin Herbert.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
He gets a hometown date. But it's after that he's
going home. He gets a hometown date. He'll make the playoffs,
he'll go on some runs, but yo, he's uh, he's
not going to the.

Speaker 4 (20:52):
Fans can't wait to show you that.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
He goes to the fantasy suites.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
When they say, you know, based on that convo, man,
it really does put Jalen Hurts in p because he's
got something that none of those dudes have, major and
he beat Mahomes to do it, so major props to have.

Speaker 10 (21:08):
Got bad news too for all these other quarterbacks waiting
in line. Guess who's won five at a last last
eight super Bowls? The Eagles and the Chiefs. So it's
like there's such a little room to get in there.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
Yeah, and you know what Burrow Allan, Lamar, Love Purty,
Dak Jayden Daniels, CJ. Strad, Kyler Murray and then I'm
not even naming like the you know, like the Caleb
Williams of the world and Justin Herbert and Trevor Lawrence.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
Did we just say he's done on it? Do we
assume that just a done story?

Speaker 2 (21:37):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (21:37):
Note on that team. Yeah, yeah, so we shall see.
I see Jayden Daniels going the distance.

Speaker 9 (21:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (21:43):
I feel like a lot of the legends we spoke
to last week had nothing but great things to say
about him as older leaders looking at a younger player
like he seems to get it for bringing such a
young age, So I think he will grow.

Speaker 1 (21:56):
Danny, I'm sorry I haven't mentioned one Raider.

Speaker 4 (22:00):
Well, they don't have their franchise quarterback yet. We got
a couple of Aaron Rodgers, Yeah, cam Or it could
be Tom Brady, Sanders Dart. We have a handful of
really good quarterbacks coming out of this next draft.

Speaker 2 (22:13):
Well, hey, something to think about when you realize and
you put in perspective what Jalen Hurts really did. He
put himself in a different category now because you think
everyone's going to get their moment.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
If he didn't do it yesterday, that would have been.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
Over to and to think that they would get back
again just just seems so difficult. So congrats to the Eagles.
Just don't hurt yourself during parades, by the way, you know,
it's an interesting thought.

Speaker 4 (22:38):
Think about this. Next.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
I heard Moncy say, they announced that the parade's going
to be on Valentine's Day.

Speaker 4 (22:43):
Happy times, puppy.

Speaker 2 (22:45):
Do you think that's going to cost some relationship strife
in Philadelphia?

Speaker 9 (22:48):
No, hear a lot of the parade and then do
your Valentine's Day.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
After, but a lot of like porting girlfriends and love birds.
They love the eagle so much they'll do it together,
the love birds love birds. Yeah, yeah, but it's true.
Couples will go out together and tear down street lights together.

Speaker 4 (23:13):
Yeah. What do you want to do on Valentine's Day's spot?

Speaker 2 (23:19):
Yeah, let's slide down, moved up, but let's slide down
and looped.

Speaker 4 (23:23):
Up, telephone jumping the schookle.

Speaker 2 (23:25):
All right. Well, hey, last night, as we watched the
Big Game and all the ads, we talked about a
lot of our favorites and uh, you know what, one
felt truly emotional, very heartfelt rockets take Me Home Country Road,
performed by different voices from across America. Then they went
to the stadium afterwards and everyone's singing along.

Speaker 4 (23:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (23:44):
Well, there's a lot of goofy commercials and then this
one comes on and it hits right here in Nakota
Sow and hits you right in the heart because it
reminds us that there once was an American dream. Why
my family came to this country to own a little something.

Speaker 4 (23:57):
I'm gonna have my own bedroom someday.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
Yeah, no, I owned some property, something that's your own,
something to be proud of, the American dream. And it's unfortunate,
but there's a lot of young people that don't think
that's a possibility nowadays because that's how it seems. But
it's really cool that Rocket Mortgage is trying to change
that perception.

Speaker 4 (24:16):
So major props to them.

Speaker 2 (24:18):
And you know when he panned to the stadium, I
was singing. It was very emotion They came back for
a commercial and Kevin Burkhart's like, as everyone sings along
to take me Home Country Road.

Speaker 4 (24:29):
Well, you know, wyris because it is sad to think that.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
I mean, for us growing up, that was the American dream, right,
but somewhere along the lines that kind.

Speaker 1 (24:36):
Of became less of a reality. That alone is sad.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
So the fact that they're trying to make that a
thing again and they're bringing it back. That's awesome, so
they go. Props to Rocket take Me Home Country Road?
All right, Hey, CNR on FSR Philadelphia, Freedom He Golf Mike,

(25:08):
and we're live from the Tireck dot Com studio. Rockets
own the dream ad with take Me Home Country Roads.
One of the most memorable parts of the night. Very
powerful message that we all want to be homeowners. So
let's make that dream come true with the help of Rocket,
because we all deserve a shot at the American dream.

Speaker 4 (25:27):
Rocket Rocket.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
No, it's a big deal, so props to them. We
talked a lot about the Super Bowl. We'll wrap it
up with your phone calls, all your observations.

Speaker 4 (25:39):
I mean, I appreciate the feedback.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
It was a long season, lots of takeaways, and we'll
wrap it up with our calls. Eight seven seven ninety
nine on Fox. Uh, Matt, We'll start with you and Seattle.

Speaker 8 (25:52):
Hey, Buddy, Hey, how you guys going?

Speaker 4 (25:55):
Good Man?

Speaker 2 (25:55):
You know what I was thinking, Matt the whole time
we're watching last night that you know people had chiefs fatigue,
and you can only think no chiefs.

Speaker 4 (26:03):
Had chief fatigue. Everyone had no energy.

Speaker 2 (26:06):
You know, we all had Chiefs fatigue, and you had
to think, like Man, Buffalo or Baltimore would have put
up such a better fight.

Speaker 4 (26:14):
Yeah, the matchup wise.

Speaker 8 (26:17):
Yeah, I think so too.

Speaker 11 (26:18):
I agree.

Speaker 6 (26:19):
I mean I was the only one in the room
that I kind of.

Speaker 8 (26:21):
Wanted the Chiefs to win. I was looking for that
three peat, just to see. But it was pretty evident
that they were done by halftime, or at least by
the time they came out in the second half. They
couldn't do anything.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
Yeah, for the record, anyone new to our show, I
would have been okay seeing a three p witnessing history
wouldn't have bothered me. We have no horse and race,
so I wouldn't have hated that. But I was shocked
that was not the outcome I thought. I never thought
that the Eagles were gonna.

Speaker 4 (26:49):
Clab or the Chiefs.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
Well, knowing that the Chiefs have been down by double
digits and every Super Bowl they've been in with Mahomes,
you had a sense of like, well, I'm not counting
Mahome out until blank. Two moments stand out for me.
You tell me, second quarter with a minute and a
half left. We mentioned it before they're down seventeen to nothing,

(27:10):
and you're like, all right, if they could put together
something less than two minutes, seventeen three, even seventeen seven,
little Mahomes magic. And that's when he threw the pick,
and then it was twenty four to nothing. Yeah that
or all right, second half twenty four to nothing. Chiefs
get the ball to start, and you're like, all right,
if they do a quick tuddy right here, then it's
the two score game. And one of those two moments

(27:32):
had to be it. When they failed in BAF, you
knew it was done. Brady in Texas. What's up, Brady? Yep,
sorry about that on the line, Hey, buddy, you guys
hear me?

Speaker 4 (27:42):
Yeah, what's I'm in.

Speaker 11 (27:44):
I'm a Cowboys fan, so I get a little bit
of a unique take on the Super Bowl. I was
cheering hard for the Eagles, and I think I speak
for most football fans. I played football too, and man,
there's no secret that the Chiefs. You know, you can
go back and forth about all the calls and the

(28:05):
Patrick Mahomes flops and all that kind of stuff, and man,
even as a Cowboys fan watching that game, it was
exactly what I wanted to see defense, heavy, slapping around
the favorite and.

Speaker 4 (28:16):
I loved it.

Speaker 11 (28:17):
I know that a lot of people are Chiefs fans,
and I love to see Patrick Mahomes win, and man,
it was everything I wanted to see out of a
Super Bowl. Even though it was a blowout.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
It was a reminder of the obvious, but it was
a reminder that the linemen are just so important to
the game.

Speaker 4 (28:34):
You know, they don't get the glory, but.

Speaker 2 (28:38):
The defensive and offensive line of the Eagles was just
so much more dominant than Kansas City's and it was
so evident. You had Mahomes scrambling around, running around like
an idiot all time. He couldn't do anything. So it's,
you know, a reminder of how important that is. Bobby
in Michigan, Hey Bobby, Hey Bob, Hey.

Speaker 7 (28:58):
Guys, I just want to say that that game last
night reminded me of how spoiled we've been in the
last twenty five years with all these close Super Bowls
and exciting finishes. And the other thing I took from
that game was a bad flashback from being a kid,
because we're all about the same age here, when I
used to play tech Mobile with my brother and he

(29:19):
would look over my shoulder and pick my play. Did
that offensive line not look like an offensive line last
night because it looked like they picked their play every
single time.

Speaker 1 (29:31):
Dude, that's a great analogy.

Speaker 2 (29:32):
You know, when you would pick the same play when
it was all school tech moobile, it was a four place.

Speaker 4 (29:36):
Now if you.

Speaker 2 (29:37):
Picked the same play as your opponent, you stopped them
automatically like there was no yeah, no chance.

Speaker 4 (29:42):
Yeah, that was very well said. I think a lot
of us thought about that down.

Speaker 1 (29:52):
Who else do we got? Robert in Texas?

Speaker 2 (29:55):
Robert, You're on the Cavino and Rich Show, Fox Sports
Radio Live from La back in La.

Speaker 8 (29:59):
What's up man, Hey, good evening, Gorman.

Speaker 3 (30:02):
How are you?

Speaker 4 (30:03):
We're good?

Speaker 3 (30:05):
Hey? Listen. Other than being a blowout, did.

Speaker 6 (30:08):
You guys one thing?

Speaker 3 (30:09):
A monthly commercial and everything? Did you guys happen to
after the halftime show? Check out the Fox tribute to
Jimmy Johnson and his life story.

Speaker 11 (30:20):
Did you guys see that?

Speaker 4 (30:21):
Didn't that was on after the Super Bowl?

Speaker 3 (30:24):
No, no, during the it was right after the halftime show,
but before the teams even came out. You know, they
would just bury come out in the field and Fox,
did you know it was like a four minute tribute
that showed Jimmy in his high school days as an
even pop warner. They showed him as a little child

(30:44):
grown up playing football, and then at the University of
Miami and all his accolades and that he achieved there
in Miami, and then we went to Dallas and this
they did such a heart felt saying, oh my.

Speaker 4 (31:00):
God, well, now, man, I missed it.

Speaker 2 (31:03):
I must have had my head in a pantry trying
to battle whether or not I should eat some cookies
or not.

Speaker 10 (31:08):
You're gonna have to look that up around too. I'm
gonna have to go back and watch this. Dan had
mentioned that and I missed it too. That there was
like kind of a Jimmy Johnson farewell send off.

Speaker 4 (31:15):
Oh man, you know, I'm not even joking.

Speaker 2 (31:18):
I was probably that's when you take a quick bathroom break,
or you know, you're trying to get a quick bite
or something. I might have missed it, you know. There
there's a sentiment that we had been getting spoiled. If
you're a kid of the eighties or nineties, which I
think most people here are, if you were born roughly
around nineteen eighty, so your childhood was all the Super

(31:40):
Bowls in the eighties.

Speaker 4 (31:40):
Or it's not.

Speaker 2 (31:41):
You definitely hated the halftime show yesterday, Born before that
ninety percent change like Born before that, you hated every
single I.

Speaker 1 (31:49):
Want to take you back to our childhood. Let's start
with the run.

Speaker 2 (31:53):
There was a run of consecutive blowouts that weren't even
fun so our parents when they were having Super Bowl
parties with their friends. Let's start in eighty four eighty four,
Raiders killed the Redskins. Next year the Niners killed the Dolphins,
Bears killed the Patriots, then the Giants, Redskins, they both

(32:14):
killed the Broncos. Then there was one close game, remember
Montana with the drive. What made Montana with the Drive
against the Bengals so special was that you're coming off
of like years and years of crappy Super Bowls, and
then after that you went back to Montana killing the
Broncos and the Bills getting beat year after year. There
was one close one, which made the missfield goal by
Scott Norwood even more important. There were two good super

(32:37):
Bowls winning a twenty year span of our childhood, and
then you hit a point where every year the Super
Bowl was like really good or some crazy memorable moment, right,
like a Tyree moment. But not only that, uh not
that made the different, Not a crazy Julian Edelman catchers.
There's not really nothing like crazy that, not running with

(32:58):
Marshawn Lynch or you know the Tennessee Titans reaching for
the end zone on the final play, or you know
Vinitari with a field goal that would win the game.

Speaker 4 (33:08):
Like Malcolm Butler with a sweet interception.

Speaker 2 (33:10):
Yeah, like these are these are the moments we forget
that sometimes Santonio Holmes with a touchdown catch, like a
lot of big ones. So we were spoiled. We were
due for a stinker and we got it. And it
Speaking of stinkers, Sponsi Blagos whoa's.

Speaker 4 (33:25):
Thank you for that. That's fine, I'll take it all right.

Speaker 9 (33:28):
The Eagles are gonna have their preyed on Friday, Yes,
on Valentine's Day.

Speaker 4 (33:32):
Was announced today.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
Luka Doncic is going to make his Lakers debut.

Speaker 9 (33:35):
I'm calling it because apparently every single seat has a
Laker seventy seven shirt on it. So if you're going
to the game, you're getting your first Luca shirt.

Speaker 4 (33:43):
Oh that's three.

Speaker 9 (33:43):
Yes, it is Maverick Star, Kyrie Irving is going to
replace his new teammate Anthony Davis in the All Star
Game on Sunday. Trey Young of the Hawks is replacing
Jannisontatakumpo in that game. Tiger was originally was going to
play in the Genesis Invitational. He's on social media. He's
not he's still processing his there's death. And in baseball,
we know what logos the inductees are gonna be, you know,

(34:05):
having in the Hall of Fame, no surprise. CC Sabathia
is going to be a.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
Yankee logo, of course.

Speaker 9 (34:10):
Billy Wagner is going to have the astros I trou
Suzuki is going to have the Mariners, and Dave Parker
is going to have the Pirates.

Speaker 1 (34:17):
Dick Allen will have the Phillies.

Speaker 2 (34:19):
Back to you guys, thank you, Yes, all right now,
we do have to talk a little NBA coming up
because Danny g you know our theory, once the Super
Bowl ends, we shift our focus to the NBA.

Speaker 4 (34:30):
And he's not fat bring him back. Let me tell you.

Speaker 2 (34:34):
It's what's so funny is that there was a trade
they got rescinded. When was the last time we saw
something of that magnitude.

Speaker 9 (34:41):
When Chris Paul was not allowed to go to the Lakers.

Speaker 4 (34:44):
That one.

Speaker 1 (34:44):
Yeah, but that's a minute. Now that's been It's.

Speaker 2 (34:47):
So rare that it happens like, So we'll talk a
little NBA and Anthony Davis hurt already.

Speaker 1 (34:52):
So can they trade them back in? Don't they have
that La Lemon law?

Speaker 4 (34:56):
Right?

Speaker 1 (34:56):
If you get a bad car? Oh yeah, you can
trade it back in?

Speaker 4 (34:58):
Can they do that?

Speaker 3 (34:59):
No?

Speaker 1 (35:01):
So, hey, we got more could be non rich next
right here on Fox Sports Radio.

Great great time, Right now live from the tyrack dot
com studio. Remember Rockets Own the Dream ad with take
Me Home Country Roads was one of the highlights of

(36:39):
the night, one of the most powerful moments. There was
a lot of you know, goofy, gimmicky commercials. That one
hits you right in the heart because everybody wants the
American dream of owning a home and they're reminding you
that it's possible, so you deserve that shot.

Speaker 4 (36:55):
Thanks again to Rocket for reminding us kind of a
big deal.

Speaker 2 (36:59):
By the way, Sammy play number one by Nelly, which
ironically is one of his few songs that did not
go to number one in the two thousands, but it's
a good song. And shout outs to the Eagles and
Jalen Hurts who is now a champion.

Speaker 8 (37:11):
Man.

Speaker 4 (37:11):
That's that.

Speaker 2 (37:12):
That to me is something that changes the narrative of
a lot of the young generation of quarterbacks. It's Jalen's
now been to two one one. That's Can I give
you this analogy? It's it's when we've used over and
over again, rich, but I have to do it one
more time.

Speaker 4 (37:25):
It's fitting.

Speaker 2 (37:27):
It's like when Tyson foot Douglas and you think that
Tyson's still gonna come back, Tyson being the Chiefs here,
you still think they're gonna come back, They're gonna come back.
But in reality, Tyson just got his ass whooped the
entire game. And that's what the Eagles did to the Chiefs.
They just whooped their ass.

Speaker 4 (37:44):
The entire game.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
Dude, just too powerful, too dominant, and Mahomes had no answers,
and after an extensive halftime you heard it, you saw it.
They made no adjustments that were impactful whatsoever. They clabbered them,
clabored them. So Jalen hurtson just win. He domined that game.
Let's say, what's up to Big Bert in Georgia? He
had some thoughts on the halftime showy after today we

(38:09):
move forward because there's so much other stuff NBA baseball,
and think about all the offseason NFL stuff we're going
to get into. We haven't even touched on Aaron Rodgers
today because we're right out of time. Aaron Rodgers no
longer moving forward with the Jets. So you got to
ask yourself, there's a lot of people. Where does that
go now?

Speaker 6 (38:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (38:25):
Up in the air, Cooper Cup, Deebo, Samuel, so many
big names out there. You're like, well, what's going to
happen to them? And the draft will be here before
you know it? Big Bert, what's up?

Speaker 4 (38:33):
Man?

Speaker 6 (38:34):
Hey? I just want to tell you I love Ketch.
He played above the level of this crowd. It's like
he was fast and surious. Frands got sent being John
Malcovich or like you want to see different strokes, but
it's turned out it was that special episode where things
happened to Dudley and you're.

Speaker 2 (38:49):
Like, ah, you know, that's a great analogy if this
is not your Yeah, but not everyone expected to see.

Speaker 1 (38:57):
Dudley at the bike shot. That's what He's super me reached.

Speaker 4 (39:00):
To a lot of what was going on, And I
think we can all agree. For a big mass crowd
like the super Bowl, you probably need something simple.

Speaker 1 (39:07):
Yeah, but overall, like I said, it was interesting for sure.

Speaker 4 (39:10):
Yeah, I liked it.

Speaker 2 (39:10):
You know what I do find funny though how people
I don't know if they're faking it or not. I
just I just don't know the energy to care as
much as other people I see on social media, like
in what way? Like you scroll through social media and
I feel like people are just so mad about a
lot of things. And I'm like, all right, like are
you really that mad about the halftime school?

Speaker 4 (39:27):
Like so rich? Are you saying you wouldn't have joined
that large pregame protest outside American Airline Center Saturday? He's
not fat, bring him back. He's the MAVs fans really
mad about you know, dude.

Speaker 1 (39:40):
They must now because Luca left and now a D's hurt.

Speaker 4 (39:44):
Yeah, what a nightmare. A lot of the complaints from
the unhappy Maps fans or why would we trade our
future and our franchise guy for a thirty one year
old who's hurt all the time? He balled out first
half of the game in the beginning of the third
quarter twenty six point sixteen rebounds, seven assists, three blocks
in thirty one minutes, and then lower body injury took

(40:07):
him out in the third quarter in one strain, ough
bleak or whatever. No, someone stabbed he someone on Anthony
Davis voodoo doll and just that's what happened.

Speaker 2 (40:14):
No, seriously, maybe he overextended himself because it was such
an impactful.

Speaker 4 (40:18):
And already had that abstrain, so his body could have
been overcompensating. He has a lot to prove.

Speaker 2 (40:24):
He has been very vocal about he knows what Luca
meant to that organization. But he's going to bring his
own vibe and his own domination. So a lot online,
a lot to bring and now he's hurt for he's.

Speaker 4 (40:35):
Going to be off for weeks. Yeah, I could drag
to him.

Speaker 2 (40:37):
Man, that is insult to injury man, pun intended. That's
just misery for the Mavericks.

Speaker 4 (40:43):
And then the rescinded trade of Mark Williams. You referred
to that earlier. Rich. Of course, the Lakers thought they
had their center, their big guy for right now, and
kind of a juicy story came out from bleacher Report
this morning saying that Luca's team was the one behind
Wanning Williams like Polinka worked with Luca's team immediately and

(41:05):
that that was who Luca pinpointed as the center that
he wanted to play with because he loves guys that
can lob and play the pick and roll with. Can
they still get Dwight Howard right? And then this story was,
oh my god, Lebron's team, how are they gonna feel
about this? Because Lebron's been asking for different guys forever.

Speaker 2 (41:21):
But that's the weakest because now they both have to
go back to their former team. That's like going back
Just kidding, Dalton, I don't know, just going back to
an X after they told you didn't want you anymore?
Just kidding, connect We love you. I will see you
guys tomorrow. Have a great Monday. I'll read it there
at you baby, see you in a promised land. Bye.
