at Dan Byer on Fox not at the vote. I
can't read Devon's actual handle. I probably could, but I'm
not going to. I am probably it would probably be best
that I don't. He just wanted to know. He just

(01:37):
wanted to know.

Speaker 5 (01:39):
Ah, I see, you could always go check it out
except Fox Sports calmed down.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Yes, Yes, don't worry. The funny thing is is we
are going to kind of continue this conversation that ended
up being born in this phenomenon of Caitlin Clark that
I knew was real, but I felt at firsthand with
all of the backlash from me signing with Aaron Judge
when it comes to this popularity is I do realize
that Caitlyn Clark is not like most athletes, and there

(02:07):
is something about those athletes, and there are special athletes,
and I don't know if once in a generation is
the right way to do it, but there is just
something unique. You used phenomenon transcend it maybe too much
of a word, because I think phenom enters the long
and the short of it. I think that's a good
way to put it. But we want to know from you,
who are those athletes in your mind that maybe rose

(02:29):
to the level of Caitlin Clark eight seven seven nine
to nine on Fox. That's eight seven seven nine nine
six six three six ' nine. You can tweet us
at Dan Byer on Fox at Monte Belanos if you
want to do it that way and get in on
the conversation. I just need to put a bow on
the previous thing that we were talking about about ten
minutes ago. We think I would guess that the lady,

(02:51):
the lunch lady who stole the million dollars worth of
wings was probably selling them to other restaurants Nick did them.

Speaker 6 (03:00):
On this WHEWO.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
So breakdown on how many wings this lunch lady uh
was able to order in Chicago over this nineteen month
span before being busted for her cheating ways.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
So the reports are that it was eleven thousand cases
of wings, and an estimate a case looks to be
about forty pounds, So you're talking about four hundred and
forty thousand pounds of wings, And if we estimate that
a wing is about three ounces, you're talking about seven

(03:35):
million chicken wings in.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
An eighteenth month span. That is an insane amount.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
Of bird And I know that that deserves a round.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
That How do you know that kind of product?

Speaker 2 (03:50):
I like, did she have an industrial freezer off site?

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Like?

Speaker 3 (03:55):
I have so many questions about the logistics.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
Again, I think she was supplying a bunch of wings places,
probably in the Chicago land area.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
That but how is she holding on to all?

Speaker 2 (04:07):
You're telling me There's no way a school cafeteria has
a freezer big enough to house all of the wings
coming and going? Like, how is she managing?

Speaker 4 (04:16):
There's no way, especially if this was during the pandemic.
I have a hard time believing she was able to
access the school.

Speaker 6 (04:22):
I'm sure they shut it down and it was like
nobody's coming in or out type of thing.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
So are we now more impressed with Lady Wings than
we were twenty minutes ago?

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Yes, the answer is yes. And the reason why I
feel like there needs to be some clarity. We don't
know for sure. That is my guess. That is my hypothesis.
Jason Stewart. My hypothesis No, my guess is that that
she was selling them to other people because of the
amount nick that you talk about.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
But I also she was definitely reselling them. But I
just want to know how. Yeah, yeah, shere volume is astounding.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Some people thought she was keeping them for herselves. I
could guarantee the fact, because that's the conversation that we're
having on the other side of the windows. It's like,
what are you doing with all these wings? No way
are you having them for your fans? And that's the
Chris Jones part of it, is Chris Jones is saying, like,
I'll pay her to get her free. No, was it
because she was hungry or she made a low wage?
Is the lunch woman like there was some sort of

(05:21):
business going on.

Speaker 7 (05:22):
It's a criminal operation, yeah, like an organized crime operation,
and there was probably money being wandered, and she was
like at the top of this pyramid. I'm sure it's
amazing how she got away with it.

Speaker 4 (05:33):
So we said seven million wings, and then we said,
like an average person has about eight wings or so,
so yeah, that's eight hundred and seventy five thousand days
of eight wings a day.

Speaker 6 (05:43):
That's a lot to eat.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
It's a lot of customers.

Speaker 5 (05:46):
A wing lady real low prices. I don't know how
she keeps the price is so low.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
I tell the story when I was in seventh grade
and I still have the same palette as it did
in seventh grade. I was chicken chicken sanwich every day,
and then you have it for two straight months and
all of a sudden, it just has this flavor that
you're like, Okay, this isn't good anymore. So I had
to switch to the fish filet. I still taste that

(06:14):
chicken sandwich thirty four years later.

Speaker 4 (06:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
Yes, So to have all these wings, to be able
to like if you were if you were eating them,
at some point you got to be like, you know what,
I'm not going to eat any more wings for the
rest of my life. Yeah, it's not going to happen.
That's why again part of the operation selling them somewhere,
making profit on the side, but charging it to the
school district.

Speaker 8 (06:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:35):
Again, impressed really, And.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
To Jason's point, the only articles that we see about
her are that Chris Jones wants to pay her pay
the difference to get her out of jail, not how
this whole organ organized crime aspect fed into the Elementary
Schools of Chicago.

Speaker 6 (06:52):
We probably wouldn't have heard the story. If it wasn't
for Chris Jones, we may have come across it.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
You know, that is maybe in a MIDWEK major like
the line it's spotty.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
Is there a limited series here?

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Maybe I mean into a little six episode wingate.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
If it is, it's probably gonna be in the next
six months. There's so much stuff that has turned around
so quickly, like I need I need to be like, oh,
I forgot about that story. I want to watch it.
I don't need it to be like so sudden and
so soon and then be like, all right, it's over with.
I need some time to let it lie, let it rest.
Caitlin Clark's gotten no rest, and she's been the conversation

(07:32):
for us uh over this past twenty four hours. Paul
is now closed. I believe it's closed. We'll get the
final results to you in our Judge versus Clark conversation,
but we shift it. Who are those athletes that change
the game. Who are those athletes that just I don't
know were untouchable during that time. Tim Tebow was the

(07:54):
name that we brought up in that many have brought
up but Tim Tebow can't be the only athlete that
we think of. Is there an athlete that you think of?

Speaker 6 (08:05):
So I actually think she's on a level of her own.

Speaker 4 (08:09):
But to me, like I think of a phenomenon, I
think of insanity. Jeremy Lynn for two weeks was a
phuughn note. Like I know it only lasted so long,
but while it was there, man were people so excited.
Everyone all of a sudden had Jeremy Lynn sports illustrated

(08:31):
cut like but in two weeks, remember he was sleeping
on his friend's couch and literally like transcended again maybe
a two week period, but still it was a phenomenon.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
And it was something that you couldn't deny.

Speaker 6 (08:43):
He couldn't deny.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
It had to be a part of like if you
were in New York, like going to the Knicks game.
There was something to it. But again, pretty short looked
Jeremy Lynn had an NBA career. It did afterwards. The
insanity stopped after a certain point because but it was
insane for that short period of time. I think that's
a really good one. I'm going to give you one

(09:04):
that may not seem like it, because I think that
the athlete is too great, but I think actually lives
up to the expectations. And it's golf. It's Tiger Woods. Yeah,
like Tiger Woods. Like there was a hype of Tiger
when he turned pro in nineteen ninety six. There was
Nike behind him. It was the whole deal. He completely

(09:25):
changed the game and then became who many feel the
greatest player that golf has ever seen. And there is
the debate Jack's got more majors. They are those who
say nobody played at the level that Tiger did. But
Tiger continued that and then even when he wasn't at
his peak, and we see it now because he's not

(09:46):
at his speak, he is still that draw. And we're
talking about this, you know, twenty seven years later, you know,
since he since he won the Masters. So to have
to have that, that is my That is my biggest one.
I think that would be a one to top considering
how great Tiger Woods was, how appealing you was to
so many, the phenomenon that he was, and I we

(10:07):
just brought everyone together. I put Tiger Woods on that list.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
I think that's a good one because it's like Lebron
isn't part of this conversation, Like Lebron is his own,
but like we were expecting Lebron. We heard about Lebron
when he was thirteen years old, like it was. It's
a little bit different. I feel like we his phenomenon
has been for how long now in the NBA, but
it's just different, Like I feel like Tiger Woods, Caitlin Clark,

(10:31):
Jeremy Lynn.

Speaker 6 (10:31):
This just came out of nowhere.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
Listen, there was Jordan, there's Kobe.

Speaker 4 (10:35):
Right, it's a separate type of a phenomenon that we're
talking about here.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
It's not just greatest every No, it's not. There's something
more great. You mentioned Jason earlier, Dale Earnhard Junior.

Speaker 7 (10:52):
I think that there was a discussion point and I'll
let the listeners behind the curtaineer the initial the initial
prep conversation of this topic was more about how fan
bases have been just crazy for an athlete and what
the The phenomenon is definitely a part of it, but
there's also this like unexplained fandom, and that's where that's

(11:15):
where my head went to Dale Junior. I knew that
he had the background with the family and everything else,
but no matter how long he went and he just
was kind of an average driver. He had this massive
fan base when there were other drivers that were very
much more successful that couldn't even come close to his
in Q rating and moving the needle. And there's just
something about it that you just can't explain. There's that

(11:37):
untangible thing about it.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
And to to do what we always do phenomenon factor
situation that is observed to exist or happen, especially one
whose cause or explanation is in question. How does this happen?

Speaker 6 (11:52):
How does this happen? And that's a perfect way.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
Yeah, And I would even say Dale Senior for which
I think is if you want to talk about the
origin of it, like you could say Junior, because everybody
loves Senior. There was something about you know, Dale Senior
in that in who he was and the intimidator and
liked or loved, but as someone who transcended racing as

(12:15):
well in terms of able to cross over Jeff Gordon
was a super marketable guy, kind of like your your
mainstream guy, which then put him in the rivalry. So
I would so that's the one only thing that I
would say against myself and saying Dale Senior. And to
your point, Dale Junior was able to make that crossover
or I think Dale Senior was was so locked in

(12:37):
in NASCAR, but still I think he was above most others.
I think that's a that's a pretty good nominee. I'll
does any Iowa Sam Nick, Do you have any phenoms
that you wanted to put on our list that you
feel stepped because I have a couple more, but I
don't want to step on anyone's toes.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
Well, I was just thinking then, and this is probably
recency bias, but I just thought Colorado football at the beginning.

Speaker 3 (13:01):
Of last year.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
Yes, I actually do like it was a thing.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
After that TCU game, they were on top of the world,
and I mean they were getting people watching Colorado. Colorado
State was a massively watched game in the non conference,
and it was and it became every team's biggest game
as they continued through the season. As that was something
recently that came to my mind. I know, not an athlete.

Speaker 1 (13:26):
I know I always say it's tough to match Caitlin Clark.
Is there anybody else in your mind? Because I've got
I'll throw one out there. It doesn't match it, but
it goes along the point of what we're talking about.
Like when we talk about Lebron because there's other stars
in the league. Odell Beckham Junior. Now, maybe not to

(13:46):
the extent, but he was doing things that we hadn't
really seen on the football field. There may have been
better wide receivers with better stats, but the catches that
he made, the splash that he made, the times where
he made, you know, Sunday night football. Making these plays
in New York again helps But like there was to

(14:10):
the maybe not to the extreme of Caitlin Clark, but
I do think that if the Giants were playing for
a time, you were gonna watch because Odell Beckham Junior
was playing.

Speaker 4 (14:19):
Yeah, I think that's a good one because I don't
recall seen as many pictures of one player catching ridiculous passes.
Like you don't have to be watching the game. You
go on social media and there was a still picture
of him catching a ball and you were like, how yeah,
I'm gonna go now watch.

Speaker 6 (14:35):
This play because I don't know how he did this,
but all I have all the still pictures of him
and the crazy catches. That's a good one.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
Johnny Mantel was another name that was thrown out there
in our pre show meetings.

Speaker 4 (14:47):
I think that's also a good one, not for what
he did in the NFL, but obviously for he was
in college.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
Phenomenon, there's something that But there's so when we talk
about the phenomenon of phenomenon of Caitlyn Clark, her being
from Iowa, her being from the state where there is
no pro sport, no offense to the Cyclones. I know
they're going to take offense to this, but it's a
Hawkeye state. That's why they call it the Hawkeye State.
Her being from Iowa, her being from the Midwest, all

(15:16):
plays a part, just like it does for Johnny Football
being from Texas, being that Texas kid at Texas A
and M getting that nickname, carrying it out and winning
the Heisman Trophy and then still being in school and
then going to the NFL and completely flaming out. But
he was always the topic of conversation leading up to
winning that Heisman for about mid season of the Heisman Trophy.

(15:39):
Then after he wins the Heisman, as we saw in
the documentary, it was just on fire until he ultimately
flamed out. But I think Manzell was a name that
was thrown up in our pre show meetings. That is
one that has to be a part of this group.

Speaker 9 (15:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (15:51):
After the documentary, I think you were, like man even
more impressed with how he was able to sustain that
level of play and that life style, Like that's impressive.

Speaker 1 (16:02):
Yeah, let's go to the state of Texas. Dwayne is
in Texas, Dwayne walking to the Cavino and Rich.

Speaker 10 (16:09):
Yes, I might be getting myself a little bit. But
how about Fernando Balzuela hit during his prime? And that
was pretty phenomenal.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
That is a great, great nomination considering you have Fernando
Mania exactly, like right there, like that is there's not
That was a good one.

Speaker 6 (16:25):
Yeah, that was a really good one.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
Twenty year old, I am so I am so so
pleased to be like, I don't remember when it happened.
I wasn't old enough. Jason Stewart, do you remember Fernando Mania?
No I do.

Speaker 7 (16:38):
I was uh, I was ten eleven years old. And
it was like the perfect mixture of he had immediate success, unhittable,
he had this this what do you call that screwball
that nobody was throwing, and then the the Latino population
in Los Angeles. It was like that combination of like
a a native Mexican I mean success and the population

(17:01):
of this city.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
It was a perfect bund. Do you think Kitlyn Clark
has the same effect if she is here ten years earlier.

Speaker 4 (17:11):
No, No, I don't. And the big reason is because
of social media. It's just she caught fire because of
the way she was taking those threes, those logo threes,
and you would see it on social media.

Speaker 6 (17:22):
No, it would not be the same effect.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
I also think because of society, sure, yeah, you know
in that part of and I do think that, you know,
the Steph Curry of women's basketball is a is a
great way to characterize because we did all fall in
love with Curry. And by the way, Curry wasn't there
from his rookie season, like it was a couple of
seasons before he became Steph Curry.

Speaker 6 (17:46):
Yeah, nobody thought he was gonna do it.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
Yeah yeah. But I just wonder in terms of if
it was a decade earlier, if it would have been
the same thugs in Boise, Idaho. Who are we missing
on this phenomenon list that we are trying to track down.

Speaker 10 (18:00):
I think you got the wrong.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
Hey, Doug, Doug, what do we have the wrong?

Speaker 8 (18:07):
What?

Speaker 2 (18:09):
Well?

Speaker 11 (18:10):
This one was very short lived. I'm thinking Tommy DeVito.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
Oh, that's a good one. You got the right one, Doug,
you got the right one there.

Speaker 6 (18:21):
That is perfect.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
Chris Purfetts here employee Fox Sports Radio, bought a Tommy
DeVito jersey. Yeah, and I don't think has regretted a
penny of it.

Speaker 4 (18:32):
I know that one was also a short stint, but
a phenomenon, Yes, a phenomenon also New York all of that,
does you know add to it as well?

Speaker 6 (18:42):
But that was a good one.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
Well, can I just ask them with the Tommy DeVito
stuff less about play on the field and more about
the fact that that's one of the main characters from
Goodfellas and also all the Italian stuff.

Speaker 5 (18:54):
Yeah, because they weren't good in that like one like
a game was like one in one and one and two.
They were getting crushed, but then they ended up winning
and they manufactured some stuff together and he did statistically
I think maybe even his third or fourth game maybe
three for two hundred yards and they found.

Speaker 1 (19:10):
A way to win. So it was a little t
bow esque in finding a way to win when you're
not that great. But yeah, Tommy Devina, I've watched him
in the preseason game against the Lions a little bit looked.
Uh look sharp, let's go to the Great State of Maine. John,
Welcome to Cavino and Rich.

Speaker 10 (19:27):
Hey guys, I'm on my way to the hospital to work.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
But oh good I'm glad you're going to work. Thank
goodness you're going to work.

Speaker 10 (19:39):
Yep. But this will show my age. How about John
Forrest and drag racing? Because he came on and all
of a sudden, you went for an oil change and
there were John Forrest posters and pants. You can't go
anywhere without.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
Are you your car? Are you gunning it at every stoplight?
Like once it turns green? Is that what John Forrest
did to you?

Speaker 10 (20:01):
Having my age shows my vehicle. I got an old
man's vehicle, so no, I don't. I don't put putt either,
but uh yeah, I've driven everything from a tank to
you name it, so uh hey, I did that when
I was younger.

Speaker 1 (20:20):
I love the I love the nomination. We appreciate it.
And thank goodness, you're going to work at the hospital, yes,
and not the emergency room for your own medical needs.
Thank goodness. John in the Great State of Maine nearly
gave us a heart attack.

Speaker 6 (20:33):
Yeah, I was like, oh gosh, mom.

Speaker 1 (20:35):
The way of the er, but I wanted to get
down on the conversation. I know.

Speaker 4 (20:40):
I got one which I don't know but maybe and
maybe it's a recency bias kind of like Nick said,
but what about Paul Skins.

Speaker 1 (20:48):
I would argue, there's you would be half of the equation,
half of the equation.

Speaker 6 (20:54):
Lily Dunn is the other And yeah, I yeah, I
could see that.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
Yeah, how about this one each row? Yes, I know
like Otani is the recent one, but I feel like
there was like an ichi ro craze for for him
and the success that he had. There's a name that
I wrote down. May not be to the level that
we are talking about, but I think we have a

(21:19):
bunch of really good nominee.

Speaker 6 (21:21):
Yeah yeah, yeah is good too.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
The uh, the the T bow is is the most
likely one. But Insanity was crazy, cover of SI the
whole deal. Good stuff, Good work, everybody, great job. It
is Cavino and Rich here on Fox Sports Radio Live
from the Tairaq dot com studios. Hit her up at
Manzi blanias you can find me at Dan Byron. Fox

(21:45):
will follow up with some of your recommendations and nominations there,
just like Kelly tweeted in saying Mark McGuire and Sammy
Sosa during that home run battle. Very organic, you know,
but uh yeah, good, good nominee. At that time, the
home run craze in ninety eight was like no other,

(22:05):
And now we know why it was like no other.
Coming up next to Cavino and Rich live from the
Tirak dot com studios, why it won't be sunny in
Philadelphia this upcoming football season. She's Monsey. I'm Dan. That's
next here on Fox.

Nick and then we'll talk about the the Screaming Eagles

(23:17):
is I'll call them the nat the Philadelphia Eagles. We're
calling them the Screaming Eagles for the off of the
off season that they have had. But I do want
to go to a couple of states.

Speaker 4 (23:29):
What the actual you know, what was that that sounded
like a pterodactyl?

Speaker 1 (23:36):
Was that an eagle? Sound effects? Is that his closest thing?
We had to it? Hawk? I guess that was a
few seconds late there, so that was a hawk. Actually
it's labeled hawk. Let's go to Nevada. Justin is in
Nevada talking phenoms here on Fox Sports Radio. Happy one said,
justin what's on your mind?

Speaker 9 (23:54):
Michelle Wie was a huge, huge phenomenon for a long time.
And also John Rocker, Oh Rocker.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
For other alreadya yes, John Rocker was something else. The
wee one is a good one. In fact, Jason and
I had a Michelle Wee discussion about the last couple
of weeks, and I think your question, Jason was like,
whatever happened to Michelle Wee? Did she ever live up
to her expectation? And the answer is no, And it's

(24:29):
not meant to be disrespectful because the expectation was that
she could have played on the PGA Tour. She ended
up winning one major on the women's tour when won
the US Open in twenty fourteen. But you know, their
injuries are a lot going on. But she was a
phenom in her teen years, almost made the cut in
a PGA Tour event. So yeah, it was a very
very good nomination.

Speaker 7 (24:49):
Shall we mention the next part? Yeah, it's covin on
ritchro crazy.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
So at that.

Speaker 7 (24:54):
Point, I'm like, yeah, Dany, what helped her out. Her
phenomenon was that she was easy on the eye, she
was kind of hot. And Dan's like, yeah, she was
like fifteen, And I said, okay, maybe that wasn't a
big part of it.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
That true story Live forth tirach dot com Studios. Let's
go to Mark in North Carolina. Mark, Welcome to Camino
and Rich.

Speaker 11 (25:19):
Yeah, Hey, my choice is Mark and Fidrich.

Speaker 1 (25:27):
I did not. I do not remember it. I don't
believe I was. I was alive at the time. But
I've heard amazing stories about Mark Fidrich. And it was
just one season, right, He.

Speaker 7 (25:38):
Was Rookie of the Year, I think in seventy seven,
and I think he brushed his teeth between innings and
he did this these little weird, quirky things.

Speaker 1 (25:45):
But yeah, cover of Sports Illustrated as well.

Speaker 7 (25:48):
It meets the category.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
Yeah, yeah. And let's go to Texas. Do we have Ralph?
Is it Raoul? Ralph? What do we got here in Texas?

Speaker 9 (25:56):
No?

Speaker 11 (25:57):
It's how like al Pacino? Now, sir, hard to hear.
I don't know how he got Ralph out of that.

Speaker 1 (26:05):
I don't know he got the al, but he added
the rph rph. I guess, so, all right, Al, what
do you got?

Speaker 11 (26:13):
I hope nobody called this one out, but I'd say
Bo Jackson, I gotta no nominate Bo Jackson?

Speaker 1 (26:22):
Are you sure? Is this dandy? G Is that who
it is?

Speaker 11 (26:26):
No? No, no, no, I mean Bo Jackson. Every pitch
in baseball your eyes were glued to the screen. He
such a combination of power and speed. The same goes
for taking handoffs for the Raiders. Oh you know, everybody
thought he'd go to distance every time he got a handoff.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
I've said it before on Cavino and Rich and I've
said it to others. As a Seahawks fan, I had
to go through grade school with Bo Jackson running ninety
one yards into the tunnel, which I actually thought was
worse than him running over Brian Bosworth at the goal line.
Were really good on Monday night football back then, and
they play That was a Monday night football game, and

(27:05):
I was sure they were going to beat the Raiders.
I had no doubt in my mind. And then Bo
Jackson had happened. And as much as I would like
to tell Al that he's he's wrong, he's not wrong.
There was a phenomenon. Bo was just Bo. Bo knows everything,
like Bo was here, there and everywhere. There was absolutely
something about him. Good nominees everyone, Yeah, great work. I

(27:28):
don't know if we're going to be like you know,
PFT and Big Cat and make him out with rushmore,
but we could probably with our four Yeah.

Speaker 5 (27:35):
Yeah, you can't spell Ralph without Al by the way,
I know that's what I said, the rph.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
We got the l right, we just added the rph
to it. I have a drop of al Pacino saying
I'm very angry Ralph. I mean, how about that.

Speaker 5 (27:48):
That's just great, better than the hawk that Ralph?

Speaker 3 (27:56):
Alright, Jurassic Park.

Speaker 1 (27:57):
I mean I just, by the way, did I call
show something different earlier? Did I did? Jason? Did you
because you reset it with Cavino and Rich? Did I
call it something?

Speaker 10 (28:06):
No?

Speaker 4 (28:06):
He was saying that it's Cavino and Rich, So it
was okay to mention a hot lady.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
Oh that's what it was. Yeah, let's go to Nickope
for the latest of what's happening.

Speaker 2 (28:19):
Well, I was just thinking of a coming out of
the show. A couple other teen phenoms. I thought of,
remember Freddie I do yes? And how about Jennifer Capriotti? Yeah,
as well Sports Illustrated cover. Yeah, when she advanced in
the Ius Open, she.

Speaker 3 (28:37):
Was like fourteen years old?

Speaker 1 (28:39):
Was she hot? Jason? Sounds hot? I was probably. I
was fourteenth at the time, so I could. Yeah, sounds hot.
D Backs and Padres trying to keep that heat on
the Dodgers. Dodgers are hot as long as they're playing
the Brewers. That's spent at one side of affair as

(29:00):
of late gee is Monte Belanios. I'm Dan Beyer from

some wrongs from last season. Was not the follow up
to their NFC championship that they would have hoped ousted

(29:44):
from the playoffs by the Buccaneers in the wildcard round,
but really the entire second half of the year was
a nightmare for Philadelphia. We're learning more and more what
went on friction between Jalen Hurts and head coach Nick
Siriani questions with Brian Johnson, his the offensive coordinator, who
felt he was kind of in the middle. They've made
a change there, Kellen more is there. Then Brandon Graham,

(30:06):
veteran defensive end, had this to say when talking about
Jalen Hurts. I mean you could quote, I mean, you
could just see that Jalen's getting more comfortable by the
day and just the way he's moving even quicker than
he was last year. I think he was probably dealing
with some stuff last year, but you can tell he
got a new and improved view of life this year.
And I'm excited for him because you could tell that
he is excited. End quote.

Speaker 4 (30:29):
You know, you mentioned the second half of the season,
but in reality, it was there all season. They were
ten and one, but it was not a comfortable ten
and one. There were questions where you're like, man, how
did they pull that off? They did not look like
the same team we saw the year before, even though
they had a good record, and then it kind of
all unraveled and.

Speaker 6 (30:51):
Maybe maybe Jalen was hurt and we didn't know it.
He was powering through, pushing through. It's very interesting.

Speaker 4 (31:00):
It's gonna be an interesting season to see how the
relationship between Nick Sirianni and Jalen Hurts continues.

Speaker 1 (31:07):
I can't get over the image from Super Bowl fifty
seven on a replay call where Nick Sirianni is taarning
the Chiefs and Jalen Hurts is telling his coach to
calm down. Yep, it wasn't the other way around, where
the player was taunting, the coach is saying, settle down.
Your young quarterback is telling your second year head coach,

(31:29):
settled down.

Speaker 6 (31:30):
At the time, act like you've been here before.

Speaker 4 (31:32):
Remember he had a show, and it was like, act
like you've been here before.

Speaker 1 (31:35):
And the strain between Sirianni and Hurts that apparently existed
at ESPN piece and how Hurts kind of started to
do some of his own things. That's to me a
lack of respect to Nick Sirianni, and I don't know
how you get that back. Maybe Jalen Hurts is the
bigger man. Maybe Nick Sirianni has owned up to everything

(31:57):
and has become a better head coach, and it's genuine
within Philadelphia. But I just have a hard time believing
that Jalen Hurts feels any different about his head coach
than he did during the offseason. Maybe their working relationship
is better, Maybe there are things that go on, but
I think that you could still see some of the
some of the issues that you had seen prior. Hopefully

(32:17):
they commit to the run because they committed to Saquon
Barkley and you just gave aj Brown though this big
deal DeVante Smith paid. There's a lot of football's to feed.
So Jalen's just going to have to figure that out.
And if Nick Sirianni maybe stays out of Kellen Moore's way,
maybe that'll work. Because last year it sure seemed that
Sirianni was interfering with Brian Johnson and Hurts' relationship.

Speaker 4 (32:37):
Right, somebody needs to tell Nick Sirianni that the Eagles
are going to pick like the Eagles organization are going
to pick their quarterback over their coach.

Speaker 6 (32:45):
Sure, and I don't know if anyone.

Speaker 4 (32:46):
Told him that until now, And maybe he's trying to
make amends, but I agree, it's kind of like, can
you really repair relationship when it's been a matter of disrespect?

Speaker 1 (32:56):
That's hard. That's hard, and with the level of talent
on the Eagles. It's an attractive job and a job
that Bill Belichick could be in.

(33:52):
We had a lot going on here the US. Some
breaking news. Did you see the breaking news? Yeah? Nick Cope,
Nick Cope, breaking news. We'll have to tell people to
settle down a little bit. It's people and who who
else is? Who Else's? Who's the Regina Bell? Yes, I
like this version.

Speaker 3 (34:11):
You have said breaking news.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
Yes, let's quickly go to Nick Cope.

Speaker 3 (34:18):
Breaking news from Fox Sports.

Speaker 2 (34:21):
So the Patriots they're going to trade their Pro Bowl
pass rusher Matt Judan to the Falcons for a third
round pick.

Speaker 3 (34:28):
This according to.

Speaker 1 (34:29):
ESPN, Judana has wanted a new contract. It was in
the final year of his deal. There was. There was
an incident I believe during the Patriots preseason game talking
on the sidelines. People were wondering what he was saying.
Maybe it was out of practice, but anyway, this kind
of situation coming to a head. Judon not going to
the Falcons, who, by the way, I think, are the

(34:52):
the odds the favorite to win the NFC.

Speaker 6 (34:54):
Soeuth oh, yeah, that's what they're trying to do.

Speaker 1 (34:56):
Yes, but you have the Buccaneers are still won the no.

Speaker 4 (34:59):
Of course, but they saw how open it was of
a division and they just wanted to make sure that
they sure come out on top.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
So Matthew Judon now going on his way to Atlanta
and joining Raheem Morris as Gerrod Mayo now is less
a weapon in New England. Who we think that New England,
by the way, poor talent throughout the season. I think
it's going to be a tough one, a tough one
for Drake may However, he did commit to Romandre Stevenson,

(35:29):
and I know not a lot of people are high
on him in fantasy, but they did give him a
four year deal, so I just assume they're gonna run
him into the ground. The question is, are they still
going to run him if they're down twenty one. Nothing
that's gonna be the question. In New England. There's your
breaking news. We've got other news to get to. We're
talking weddings, which is why Sam was playing Whole New
World and why Monsey was just so into it. You

(35:52):
have some wedding news, not for your own you're already married, yes,
but when it comes to college football and how it
relates to this fall.

Speaker 2 (36:00):
This has been kind of a big debate on Twitter
for the last day. So the Not, which hosts a
lot of wedding registry websites, They said that October twelfth
is one of the five most popular wedding dates in
twenty twenty four. It's the same Saturday you'll have such
college football games as Ohio State at Oregon.

Speaker 6 (36:20):
Oh So Dan won't go to your wedding.

Speaker 1 (36:22):
I wouldn't show up to my own wedding.

Speaker 2 (36:25):
You gotta hope that's an early kit, So sorry, Lease,
I'm not gonna be there. You got Ole Miss LSU,
you got red River on that day, Penn State USC
as well, So you got probably the maybe the best day,
at least looking at it going into the season, best
day of college football on the calendar is also one

(36:46):
of the most popular wedding days, right in the middle
of October.

Speaker 6 (36:49):
Oh, that's gonna be so great. The dramas would be
so great.

Speaker 1 (36:52):
I would miss I'd miss your wedding, and your wedding
I would not show up.

Speaker 2 (36:56):
Yeah, So the debate is, so the debate is are
you are you inconsiderate for inviting for having your wedding
on a Saturday in the fall, especially in October, And
do you have a problem Are you in the wrong
for not going?

Speaker 1 (37:12):
I hate New Year's Eve weddings. I want to make
my own plans for New Year's Eve. Yeah, I know it,
like it gives people something to do, But you're hogging
a night that other people could have had fun. I
feel the same way about this. You're hogging that Saturday.

Speaker 6 (37:26):
You are hogging that Saturday.

Speaker 4 (37:29):
I would be so mad if one of my friends
was getting married on one of those days.

Speaker 6 (37:32):
I don't know what I would do.

Speaker 2 (37:33):
As someone who did get married in the fall, though
it is the best time of year have a wedding.

Speaker 1 (37:39):
Yeah, that's what my wife said, and then we got
married on May sixth. But that's your northern here by
the way. Nothing on May sixth, nothing interferes, like maybe.

Speaker 2 (37:52):
The Derby day before, maybe you get the Derby.

Speaker 3 (37:56):
That's it, that's what you got.

Speaker 1 (37:57):
That's it. True story. When we were making wedding plans,
I said to my wife were with the planner, I said,
is there a way to get some TVs set up
in case guys want to watch games? Yep? And my
wife looked at me with the most evil glare and
we got into the car. She's like, what in the
world are you talking about. They're here for our wedding.

(38:19):
They're not here to watch a baseball game. And it
was put to put to rest. There were no TVs.

Speaker 10 (38:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (38:26):
See, I would want TVs at my wedding.

Speaker 10 (38:28):
I would.

Speaker 1 (38:29):
I always. I'd go the guys go to the bar
and watch, you know, like when you're at the dance,
Like if there's a game, the guys all go in
the bar and hang out. I didn't think it was
an out of the ordinary request.

Speaker 6 (38:39):
No, but she did, okay, and she wins. She won.

Speaker 1 (38:43):
She did win. Don't invite me to any weddings on
October twelfth, or October for that matter. Thanks to Nick Jason,
Sam She's Monte I'm Dan doctor Tomorrow.
