(00:48):
little bit, we're gonna go over my solar power parlay
courtesy of DraftKings.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
And I got two teaser bets that.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Are locks like the locks on your doors. Unbreakable. Yeah,
bring it up. Source subject man Vito, my Cavino deadlock
teasers of the week all coming up, and again DraftKings
has everything you need.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
The crown is yours and we'll get to that in
a little bit.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Super pumped about the game tonight, not only Green Bay
and the Eagles, but like I said, my daughter's game,
she's cheerleading. Of course I'm going tonight, But how many
of those games do I have to go to? Our
buddy Elijah is doing videos as we speak, Fox sports
radio dot Com, Fox Sports Radio's YouTube page. Again at

(01:32):
Fox Sports Radio. He says, go to enough games to
to let her know that you're there, you know. So
she looks back and remembers Dad was there, and Dad
supported all of her games, even though I wasn't probably
at all of them. Daddy wasn't there to take me
to the thing. He said it a lot better than that, but.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
It was something along those lines. So Daddy wasn't there.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Kids are back at school, those games begin, Rich, I know,
your coaching begins again. His daughter's teep, baldy and everything else,
everything soccer. The NFL is here, and it wouldn't be
the NFL without some drama. We got some great drama
in game won some great just gameplay. For the first game,
a battle back and forth between the Chiefs and Ravens.

(02:13):
It came down to a toe right, So that is
right for the Ravens. But tonight is another great one,
and the drama is already in the news rich not
only the toe from last night, but the divide amongst
the wives and girlfriend which is more full gazy, what's

(02:35):
what's what's faker?

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Drama?

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Politics, tearing apart the chiefs, or green being a problem
in Brazil to you know, I wanted to take a
lot of pride in not biting on the Taylor Swift storylines.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
You know, I didn't want to jump on that.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
As much as we did last year, because all right,
we're over it a little bit, right, all right, Hey,
they're dating.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
That's great, that's grande.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
We said yesterday, we went over what storylines couldn't you
care us about?

Speaker 1 (03:00):
And we all agreed that.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Yeah, even it was a nice, feel good story last year,
take it easy a little bit this year, Like, yeah,
and there's no hate there. Has the best she's she's
one of the biggest stars in the game, and he's
a great football player. There's no hate there.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
But she's great. My daughter's are swifty.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
I'm like, you know, I get it, but I do
believe there's some juice to this story. And that's the
only reason I'm bringing it up and the story again,
the drama was the toe and the fact that took me.
Mahomes and Taylor Swift sat in different booths last night,
and you didn't see all that huggy camaraderie and all

(03:37):
the buddy chummy behavior we saw last year. And there's
a lot of speculation that it might be a political
divide amongst them.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
I like to thank Brittany Mahomes. Yeah, that kept them apart.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
And I'm like, you know what I mean, the Donald
did thank Brittany Mahore, like some strategicy from the Swift
camp where it wouldn't be a popular decision for them
to be all buddy chummy like they were, because she's
got crazy fans and it might not be a good
look for whatever reason. I think there's some juice there,
because it was pretty evident that they were not in

(04:09):
the same booth when all you saw last year was
them hugging and jumping around together in the same booth.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
You keep saying, booth, Is it a booth? Sweet? Yeah? Sweet,
there you go. They're not a Denny's Sweet the booth.
You know.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
I have a ton of friends, though, I want you
break about it, guys. I have so many friends popular here. Wow,
my mom says, I'm a cat Facebook, I'm the quarter back.
I have a lot of friends who are diehard Trumpers,
and I have a lot of friends that hate Donald Trump.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
I feel like we should be able to.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Have civilized, normal conversation, but that's not always easy. There's
there's people that are yo, you believe what I believe
or beat it. I never agree with that. I'll have
great fun conversations with people who are on any side
of the political aisle. I find it odd because you're
not Taylor Swift or no Britney Mahomes. Because think about this.
Here's how I had it played out in my little

(05:13):
pea brain. Okay, they were BFFs last year, and we
also bought into that story. Right, Yeah, met Taylor Swift.
She's really great. She's coming up with plays we might
use them.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
I love Taylor Swift. Yeah, Britt they all get along.
It's great.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
This year they're not even in the same booth, the
same sweet So here's how I see it. I see
it where it's one of Taylor Swift's major pr people
and like, listen, Taylor, you know I'm not saying you
guys can't be friends. But it probably wouldn't be a
good idea if you guys were filmed together when they
know they're going to be under this microscope and the

(05:49):
camera's going to be on them all the time. You
don't think there's some strategicy behind everything they do. From
where she's sitting, to who she's talking to, to what
she's wearing, everybody's taking note of. So that's why I'm
saying there's more than meets the eye, and I do
believe that there's something to this. Can you know's right
in that no one cares about what you or me
or anyone listening is wearing or doing.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
When you're Taylor Swift or Britney.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
Mahomes back last year, going to get is not worth it, Taylor,
trust me.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
I know you like Brittany Mahomes.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
I know she's great, but she's been in the news
a lot talking about Trump, and Trump's been talking about her.
You do not want to be associated with that, at
least not now. So again, it's just best for optics
if you stay in your own suite and she stays
in hers, and I think that's what we saw last night.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
I do believe that.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
Did you read that script that was released, that document
that was you know, fake obviously fake document, the media plan.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
I think it's ridiculous. I think people are reading into it,
and I re enact in this spot.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
That's a possibility, it's anything's a possibility, anything's possible. But
what was it if it was just a few short
weeks ago where she they were all at our house
in Rhode Island, and I think it was around the
time that this happened where Brittany was getting the backlash
due to this. I just think it's maybe Taylor invited
a bunch of people because it was the home opener.
Maybe there was no room in this suite, spread it

(07:05):
out something else. I don't get it. Why backlash for
liking a candidate? Does anyone get backlash for liking Kamala
har No, it's ridiculous. But again it's Taylor swift right,
and people even speculator like, oh she.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
Was what I spiced last year. Oh that's a weird friend.
But I don't I don't understand.

Speaker 4 (07:21):
But truly, now you're just you're playing see the polarizing
I'm not sure of the now we're political, the polarizing
nature of Donald Trump. He is more polarizing than any
political figure. Rich has millions of friends, and well, I
think you're full of bloney.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
I think you're you because I guess I can't say
what I want to say. You're full of it, actually, freshmosiel,
Let me explain. Let explained, and then you can yell
at some explanation is gonna be wrong, all right. So

(08:04):
if some someone in the media or sports is like,
I'm supporting Kamala Harris, it's like you go. But if
someone goes, I might disagree. I'm more of a Trump supporter.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
How dare you?

Speaker 2 (08:16):
It's just so ridiculous, Like I got it. I think
that's the oddest thing to me.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
I agree.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
I Like again, I would never unfriend someone or you know,
look differently on someone because their politics were different than mine,
Like what happened to the what happened to the days
of But it wouldn't be a bad career step for you,
you know where it might be for Taylor Swift. That's
why I think there is something there and it is
kind of interesting and it will I think eventually it

(08:44):
will be a big enough story. Will will it will
be addressed because the two stories when I woke up
to the sport publicly supported Kamala Harris. She publicly supported
Joe Biden four years ago.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
I know, I think, I think if we've learned anything
over the last decade, sports and politics do not make.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
The first two things I saw this morning, Guys. The
first two things were the tow headline, like, yep, there
it is. That was last night, and Brittany and Taylor
Swift were not seen together last night and they were
in separate suits. I was like, oh, I really do
think and that could be bad. And know what, you know,

(09:21):
how Colin uses the term noise a lot. That's such
unnecessary noise that the Chiefs don't need. Mahomes doesn't need,
you know, Brittany Mahomes in the news having any sort
of beef with his teammate's girlfriend, Like the team doesn't
need that stuff. And again, I didn't want to take
the bait and bite on silly stories like this, but

(09:43):
I do believe that a lot of people are experiencing
these types of things, and you know, we're going to
be seeing a debate real soon. And I think that
they kept their distance for a reason. I can I
I think there could be truth to that. Could I
quote eye rolling gen z ers, sure be better, be like,
don't let this noise disrupt your friendships at work, your
family Like, imagine if everyone imagine if everyone like they

(10:06):
hate it on their older family member because that they disagree.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
With them politically or socially.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
These are things that I really think are tearing people
apart more than they need to. Anyone not buy into
this like at all or didn't find it suspicious?

Speaker 1 (10:20):
What up? Dan Byer?

Speaker 5 (10:21):
I know, I think that for anybody that did have
the skeptic you know that were skeptics last year, this
plays into it. You have a decision to make about
your brand and whether it's the legitimacy of the Taylor
Swift Travis Calcer relationship, which is one thing, or if
you did you really think that Britney Mahomes and Taylor
Swift hit it off, that they were besties, or is

(10:43):
that just good for pr and good for the Chiefs
and good for the NFL and good for them at
that time.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
No, look at look at a By the way, that's
a really great, great point, too great point. It makes
you realize how fake everything really would be. And you know,
though there were two things that you could add on
anytime Harrison Butker has brought up when any of his
teammates like get his back, it's like, you serious, like.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
Making this guy like he's the worst dude in the world.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
And the other one was remember when Morgan Wallen had
a concert and Travis Kelsey was there to support him
and he happened to be wearing one of them was
wearing a Butcker.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
What the Butcker's number? Yeah, the number seven.

Speaker 5 (11:19):
Yeah. And then when he went to Las Vegas he
also he had a Max Crosby and then the next
night he wore a number seven jersey for the Raiders
that also had wallet on the back.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
Dude, you know who a big time Trump supporter is,
Britney Mahomes on my forty posts. That's true on my
forty nine ers, Nick Bosa, Right, you think Nick, but
you think you think Nick Bosa doesn't get along with
his teammates because of that when you were playing on
the field and you're warriors on the grid iron together,

(11:50):
that garbage a side we had. Poor Patrick Mahomes. You
think everyone says she's trying to win a football game.

Speaker 6 (11:55):
He's like, uh, you know, I'm not trying to step
on your toes. Or anything. But like, maybe you don't
have to like every Trump post because it's just not
good for like the chemistry amongst me and Trav and
and you know, him and Taylor and everything. She's got
a brand and every time you like it, all the
swifties are taking notice, and now Trump's calling us out,

(12:16):
and yeah, I kind of don't need all that.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
Like you know how awkward that must be.

Speaker 4 (12:21):
Like when Aaron Rodgers got flack for going on his
Egypt trip and everybody was making fun of him and
saying that he was blowing off practice. Yeah, he said
in his quote, He's like, it's not that big of
a deal in the facility, but outside the facility is
where everyone's got their panties in a bunch.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
That's what this is.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
It's like amongst the team, I'm sure no one cares
du fifty three men. Do you think all fifty three
you agree with each other politically and social.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
Here at all.

Speaker 4 (12:47):
It's just you do have the fans and supporters of
your team to consider, because you are a public figure,
you are an entity. You are you know, you're relying
on sponsorships and all these things, or have outside influence,
so you do have to be a little bit more
careful with what sides that you take. Essentially is the

(13:08):
other random story and the other reminder is the power
of a social media Like in today's world, you may
think it means nothing and you just do it mindlessly
and you're just liking booty picks and political things that
you're just liking. People are taking note of these things
and they have bigger impact to younger people than you realize. Well,

(13:28):
to quote something lame and possibly ruin my point because
it's a lame thought. On The Bachelorette the finale, one
of the things that made that girl all upset was
that the dude Devin started following some woman on Instagram.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
It's like people care about that people. Those things hold
a lot of weight in today's world. So from a
younger person who has the youngest fan base, Taylor Swift,
she has a very young fan she has a huge
fan base. But if you think that they're not putting
a lot of emphasis on the things that Brittney Mahomes
is liking, you know you're being fooled.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
That means a lot in today's world. The younger people.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
I'm speaking in fact here, I'm not speaking in like
opinion about politics. Factually, when you look at demographics that
would vote either way, the young, younger voters would.

Speaker 1 (14:15):
Lean more Democrat. That's a fact.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
What if Taylor Swift pulled some type of Hollywood Hogan
thing and she comes out and she's like, I.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
Have one thing to say everyone, Mega, I.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
Just want to thank Taylor Swift, the beautiful Taylor Swift, beautiful.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
I'll see you in Travis. I'll see you and Travis
at the super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
It would, by the way, anything his stupid thing about
they want to close down TikTok.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
Have you seen that? Or no, I want to thank
all the tick tuckers.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
You didn't see this, but so stupid and the dumb
the dumbest thought though a new era has done. Would
that would that blow up the world of social media
and everything more more than any other possibility. If Taylor
Swift all of a sudden and just joined Donald Trump
on stage, he was like, surprise, Well if that did happen,
it would pretty much Uh, it would prove this story

(15:07):
to be false. All right, well, hey that's the gossipy
story coming out of the NFL. But right now, I
want to win some money. You want to win some money.
As Rob Parker says, you don't have to. You know,
I'm not telling you to bet, but this is what
I'm gonna do. So let's do this, the Solar Power Parlay.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
It's time to parlay into your weekend. Rich Davis loves parlays.
You're making money and he loves his new solar panels
solar board.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
DraftKings My Solar Power Parlay.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
Oh right, lose, you're making money money. Hey, it's time
for riches.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
Solar Power Parlay, brought to you by Draftking. Score big
with DraftKings Sportsbook, the best place to bet touchdowns. Download
the Draftking Sportsbook app. Use code CR s h o
W for ceeing our show and again this code CR
show for new customers to get two hundred and fifteen
bonus bets when you bet just five bucks and yet
one month of NFL plus premium on us only on DraftKings.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
The crown is yours. Let's go.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
Dickie Davis. By the way, how are your solar panels?
You haven't really bragged about him. I'm bragging about all
the friends you have, but I haven't heard about your
solar panels. In a minute. Oh that's because my electric
bill is zero points, zero dollars. That's why. Wow, But
my DraftKings balance is higher than that. All right, let
me get into this. We're gonna do the parlant a second.
I'm gonna give you two teaser bets. Now, if you're
not a gambler, follow up, I'll explain teaser bets. You

(16:29):
pick two games, and you could play with six points
with the spread in either direction. You can make a
favorite less of a favorite.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
You can make an.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
Underdog a bigger underdog. If you do two games, you
can play with six points, and that's like a one
to ten to win one hundred wager. Here's what we're
gonna do, two big favorites, and we're gonna pull down
the point spreads.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
The Buffalo Bills. The Buffalo Bills.

Speaker 2 (16:51):
This is one of the games of the week that
we said it seems pretty predictable. They're at home up
in Buffalo against the Arizona Cardinals. I think Marveren Harrison
Junior is gonna be great this year. Kyler Murray may
have a little bit of a comeback. I don't think
they're dead ducks, but I think Buffalo wins. They're six
and a half point favorites in a teaser. Pull that
down to Buffalo by a half a point. They just

(17:12):
need to win. So Buffalo just needs to win. Partner
that up with a point spread that just dropped one
and a half points because the uncertainty of t Higgins
and Jamar chaseher heard Dan Byern the update, Cincinnati is
only seven and a half point favorites now over the
Patriots in Cincinnati. Take that from seven and a half
down to one and a half. So you need the

(17:32):
Bengals to beat the Pats by one and a half,
and you need Buffalo just to beat Arizona. Two power teams,
two projected playoff teams against two arguable bottom feeders, right,
and two teams you are gonna win anyway. You need
one to win by one and a half, one by
just a half.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
Most would say the Bills and Bengals are playoff teams.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
Most would say the Cardinals and Patriots might have two
of the three worst records at the end of the year.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
Okay, right, So you got that teaser.

Speaker 2 (17:59):
BETI Bengals Locket DraftKings Code c R Show second teaser
bed Dan Bayer knows you know, we talked about how
high I am on the Commanders. I think Washington Jaden
Daniels's team's got.

Speaker 1 (18:13):
Some you know, new leadership New York.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
Yeah, after the kids go to sleep once in a while,
like Matt, Doc gris.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
Out my gummies. I need my gummy's and my football.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
So I love the Commanders as an underdog getting even
more points. So the Commander's playing the Buccaneers in Tampa.
I mean, Baker may win Bake. That's a close game.
But if you got the Commander's getting nine and a half,
or even if you want more ten. So I got
Washington plus nine and a half, I think they may

(18:48):
win the game. So plus nine and a half, and
then the Cowboys are two and a half point underdogs.
Make them eight and a half point underdogs. So you
got the Cowboys as a dog Washington as a dog,
both over a touchdown lock that in. That's teaser number two.
DraftKings Coach, see our show. Now here's your solar power parlay.

(19:09):
All right, I'm going money line on three teams. They're
all favored by three or four points. Let's forget the points.
Let's just do money line, meaning they just need to win, right,
just need to win. Falcons are at home against the Steelers,
Kirk Cousin's debut for Atlanta at home. You don't even
know if Russ is playing right the field, camfiss or whatever.

(19:31):
So I love the Falcons money line. Profet's gonna love this.
I love the Lions money line on Sunday night at
home against the Rams. Rams are good, But I like
the Lions at home and the forty nine ers at
home Monday night against the Jets. Falcons Lions, forty nine
Ers money line that parlay one hundred paces two twenty five.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
Nice, Okay, I like it. There you go, all right,
lock it in Draftkinks, make it happen. We see our show.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
Your Solar Power parlay from Solar boy Rich Davis. Now,
if anyone's in the room or anyone wants to chime
in and tell me where those could possibly go wrong,
because I don't think they can. No.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
No, I like it.

Speaker 2 (20:12):
You've been, like you said, you've been high on the
commandos the commanders for a while, so you're sticking with it,
putting your money where your mouth has been so and
I don't know where it's been, but I don't want
to know everything.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
But that's good.

Speaker 3 (20:25):
I like it.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
Well, Hey, your thoughts at Covin on Rich Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
An extra five percent off thanks again to Rapid Radios.
So how did you like my first round of Draftkinks
picks for this year?

Speaker 1 (23:14):
You know what I really did? MI like them gets
me more invested. I like it. I'm not hating on it.
You're not just saying that, are you?

Speaker 3 (23:20):
No?

Speaker 2 (23:20):
No, no, I like them. Parlay better than your teasers.
Tell me teaser bets. I like moneyline more teaser bets
get a little confusing to me back, but I followed
and I thought it was good. I just can't see
the Bills and Bengals. I can't see either one of
them losing. That's why I like that teaser bet. I
mean you could say the same thing. You could just
do moneyline for both of you, know, to each his own.

(23:43):
But hey, a lot of great action this weekend. Now tonight,
before you go to dB for an update and some
weekend hobnobbin, let me ask you, Jordan Love, you signed
that big contract in the off season. Do you feel
like there's an expectation right out the gate that he

(24:04):
just delivers, Like, does he have to show up tonight, like,
well that's why they paid him, that's how he left
off last year.

Speaker 1 (24:11):
Or or do you feel like.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
Everyone's given that it's week one, give him a little
grace if it doesn't click right away. No, I think
you're expecting big things from this guy, you know, pick
up where he left off, a lot of high expectations.
We saw two superstars step on the field last night
and play their asses off. Why would we give him
any exception at this point? Yeah, you know you saw it.
You saw it last night. They set the groundwork and

(24:34):
expectation yesterday, so Jordan Love has to light it up tonight.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
Now.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
I wanted to bring up especially when people are saying, MVP,
you cat, you can't come out and stink it up
when you saw two potential MVPs last night play that
well in their first game. So yeah, Jordan Love has
to even more pressure for having to light it up now.
Everyone's thinking football, football, football. I didn't want to bring

(25:01):
up one thing, and I know we have other things
to get to, but your Yankees played earlier today and
they're in a pennant race with the Orioles.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
Then is tight.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
I don't know if the casual baseball fan realizes that
for the last month, those teams have been like every day,
it's like a half a game a game, one game,
two games tied, one game tied, like the Yankees and Orioles.
Yankee Yankees played a day game in Wrigley, so it
was fun to see and Rizzo got a nice ovation
from the Cubbies, the Cubs fans because as of this moment,

(25:35):
the Baltimore Orioles and the Yankees are both eighty one
and sixty identical. You're talking about two teams with twenty
one games to go and you're tied. And I asked you,
what one could argue is a dumb question. They just
got to figure out the closing situation.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
And I'll asked.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
Danny the same question about his Dodgers, because you might say, oh,
that's a dumb question. Based on how these hundred win
teams have done with the new playoff format for the
last few seasons. Would you be devastated if your team
was a wild card? Do you want to sit around
for a week? We've seen Yankees, Mets, Braves, Dodger, We've

(26:15):
seen one hundred win teams fall on their face.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
Yo, Man, that's a dumb It seems like a dumb question.

Speaker 2 (26:22):
But well here's he I know what Rich is trying
to say, like, because the obvious answer is, hell no,
if you got some good momentum, you don't want to
take a break, and we've seen that work against so
many teams.

Speaker 1 (26:31):
But who wouldn't want to rest theirs and players?

Speaker 2 (26:33):
And I think the Astros really are the only team
that we've seen sit and still come back dominant.

Speaker 7 (26:39):
You know, Rich, when the Dodgers were faltering a little
bit earlier this season, Dude, all those injuries, especially with
Bets out for a couple of months, I would have agreed, like, oh,
you know, maybe it's better if they go in as
a wild card. But then they bounced back after you
gave them a pep talk on the air I did.
They started dominating again, especially show.

Speaker 1 (26:59):
Hey, what do you want? You want to roll in
as winners?

Speaker 2 (27:03):
With that event, I mean, take whatever it is you
do for a job, whatever it is, Okay. When you
come back from a week's vacation, it's almost sometimes like
you forgot where you left off. You don't even know
where to begin right. Radio even feels weird if we're.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
Off too long. I'm like, I still know how to
do this right.

Speaker 2 (27:23):
You'll get your inbox and it's like, oh, the four
hundred and eighty two emails. I imagine having to hit
a one hundred and five mile per hour fastball.

Speaker 1 (27:31):
You know, it's gotta be working against you at that point.

Speaker 2 (27:34):
And the last couple of years, you've seen the National
League represented by eighty something win teams, the Phillies and
the Padres. The last couple of years, we're teams that snuck.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
In Stay Sharp, man, Stay Sharp, And.

Speaker 2 (27:47):
So I wonder where you are watching every day because
Cavino's die hard. He's like Bruce willis this guy every
day this afternoon, This afternoon, we're doing our show prep.

Speaker 1 (27:55):
He's got the Yankee game on his phone. It was glorious. Yeah,
it was so nice.

Speaker 2 (27:59):
While well, you are rooting every day. I do wonder
if a why, But then you're saying like it would
be like the NFL. Why would you want to play
more unnecessary rounds of a playoffs if you don't have to,
but you don't want to. But you're asking do you
get cold? And why would you want to take the
chance of getting story shown? Since they added that third wildcard,

(28:20):
which I think is fantastic by the way, I really do.
I think it keeps so many teams and players and
everyone interested. But because of that, those two teams that
get a buy, the record shows that they have struggled. Dude,
think of fighters, right and ring rust you're big dreaming, bruh.
If you think that, like Connor McGregor, could just step

(28:42):
back in the octagon and compete with dudes that are
fighting on a regular basis. At some point your reputation
doesn't only takes you so far, Like if you're not active,
you're losing your edge and you're not as sharp as
the teams that are. So my point here is if
you're taking time off, you're just breaking up that momentum

(29:04):
and if you're playing hot, like I wouldn't want to
take that chance. Right now, the American League looks a
little more, a little more would you say, set, than
the National League is you got the Yankees or Orioles.
One of those teams will will be the wildcard, and
it seems like the Twins are pretty solidly in that

(29:25):
two or three wildcards. Same with the Royals surprising right,
and then Detroit's five games out, one game over five hundred,
So it looks like your playoffs are set. Division titles
aren't necessarily set, so it should be interesting to see
how that pans out. And I just wanted to bring
up in the National League, it's wild to think that
after one hundred and forty games with twenty two to go,

(29:48):
the Mets and the Braves identical, so clostical, and yes,
you have got this going on with football, It's just
you can't ask for more than that. Ye yesterday, I
was saying to you guys in the bar, we were
watching all this. You know, we're watching them, of course,
Chiefs and Ravens. But yesterday the Rockies beat the Braves.

(30:09):
You saw that the Padres lost on a grand slam
in the ninth inning, and the Diamondbacks lost. So right
now Atlanta and the Mets are tied and only two
games better in the lost column, the Padres and the Diamondbacks.
So with twenty games to go, don't neglect baseball. Clearly,
football's king, but you know who's a pretty cool prince. Baseball.

(30:34):
It's bringing it all right. Let's go to Dan Buyer
for an update, do you be? Hey?

Speaker 1 (30:38):
Dan? Good guys.

Speaker 5 (30:38):
You know it's a big deal tonight when Major League
Baseball teams are changing their start times to kind of
accommodate the NFL. It's what the Brewers did, you know?
The Packers playing tonight and against the Eagles in Brazil.
Brewers having an early start at American Family Field this afternoon,
scoreless right now on the second inning as they take
out the Colorado Rockies, so fans could take in some baseball,

(31:00):
then they can go take in some football from Brazil
as Cavino mentioned it three to nothing win for the
Yankees today over the Cubs. We'll get the football in
a seck. But there is news in tennis. At the
US Open Men's semi finals, top seed Yanick Center advanced
to the final with a straight set's victory over twenty
fifth seeded Jack Draper. On Sunday, Cinner will face the
winner of tonight's Taylor Fritz Francis Tiaffo match in the

(31:22):
championship match coming up on Sunday. That Tiaffo Fritz match
going to start here at the top of the hour.
Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson questionable to face the Falcons with
his calf injury. Jamar Chase of the Bengals questionable to
play against the Patriots as he is trying to return
from his hold in throughout training camp. Wide receiver t
Higgins of Cincinnati doubtful to face New England because of

(31:43):
his hamstring injury. Dolphins made Jalen Ramsey the highest paid
corner in the NFL again, second time he's had that honor.
He gets a three year extension. We're seventy two point
three million dollars. It'll pay him twenty four point one
million dollars annually. That's just north of what Patrick or
Tan got earlier this week from the Denver Broncos, Steelers
and Tenna and Pat Fryermuth have agreed on a four

(32:05):
year extension with a forty eight million dollars and a
note from the NBA, the Cavalier Centrist and Thompson to
a one year deal.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
Guys, back to.

Speaker 2 (32:12):
You, DBA, have a great weekend, my friends, diands you
guys have a great one. Now, we still got to
get into weekend hobnobbing. What you need to watch in
the world of sports and entertainment and if we have time,
what to do if you're in the doghouse, if we
have perfect all right, it's Cavino and Rich on Fox

It's that electric buzz of game day all around you.

(32:34):

(35:10):
and this week's pro theeek.

Speaker 1 (35:12):
Oh, I'm excited. Nice belly roll.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
Well, I did have Buffalo wy wink yesterday. Got a
little extra belly going on. Xavier, You're worthy pro the week?

Speaker 1 (35:22):
We're not worthy? You know why.

Speaker 2 (35:24):
Because first of all, the Chiefs said that it took
them only eighteen minutes to decide we want this guy
on our team. This is the guy for us, and
last night he just provided an explosiveness that every other
team in the NFL does not want to see. The
Chiefs get better, and I feel like they got better.
So it's like, oh, disgusting how he has added to

(35:46):
an already explosive team. So Xavier worthy to more explosiveness
worthy or buffalo wallowings?

Speaker 1 (35:51):
Yea, well, what sook longer to make a decision on
your drink? Or Xavier Worthy equal on all the things
you dis asked?

Speaker 2 (35:58):
Well, hey, congrats to Xavier for being our Express pros
pro of the week. And now it's time for some
weekend hobnamin. You guys ready, let's do it. Let's go
live in for the weekend.

Speaker 3 (36:10):
You're winning bets for talking points. If you get stuck socializing?

Speaker 4 (36:14):
You ever done anything dangerous?

Speaker 1 (36:15):
You ever dance with the.

Speaker 3 (36:16):
Devil in the pale line? Friday brings us weekend hob nomin.

Speaker 2 (36:22):
Well Rich already brought up the fact that baseball is tight,
especially in the Al East. So I am gonna be
watching the Yankees Cubs. It's a fun series there at Wrigley.
But you got UFC Fight Night this weekend. Burns Brady
Gilbert Burns showing Brady some good fights on that car
if you wanna check.

Speaker 1 (36:42):
Out some UFC plus.

Speaker 2 (36:45):
Speaking of fights, there's a movie called Fight Night that's
a million dollar heist, but the cast is kind of wild.

Speaker 1 (36:53):
Hey, fight Night at where does this song? We'll provide
him now.

Speaker 2 (36:55):
It's based on some Atlanta robbery back in the seventies
and it took place during Muhammad Aldi's comeback fight. But
it stars Sam Jackson, Kevin Hart, Don Cheetle, and Moore.

Speaker 1 (37:10):
And that's on peak. Henson Howard and his big grain.

Speaker 2 (37:14):
Yeah, so you might as all get your money's worth
of peacock because you got it for the game tonight exactly,
So you might want to check that out. It's called
Fight Night, the million Dollar Heist. And then, of course
in the NFL, there's so many great games and we're
so excited to get back into that routine.

Speaker 1 (37:27):
But I'm sticking with my lock. When we picked.

Speaker 2 (37:29):
Locks, no doubt about it earlier this week. I find
the whole matchup and the whole storyline to be intriguing.
So I'm really excited to see Steelers Falcons. There's so
many great games, but I'm just saying I'm excited to
see what happens with Russell Wilson, the storyline.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
There, what's up with his hamstring?

Speaker 2 (37:46):
Hamstring, John Ham Hammy and cousins as a Falcon at home,
I'm thinking the Falcons got this, but it'll be a
fun one just.

Speaker 1 (37:54):
To see what happens. There are so many great NFL games.

Speaker 2 (37:58):
Can you could do your whole week at hobnob and
based on what games you want to be I figured
no one would say that one, so I might mean
some balance, you know, I don't think you can have balance.
On the opening weekend of the NFL on Sunday, I'll
give you three games I'm loving.

Speaker 1 (38:13):
I think Texans and Cults.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
I mean, you don't know what you're getting out of
Anthony richardson the Houston Texans, who are Danny G Super
Bowl pick? People are high on the Houston Texans, So
Texans Coults.

Speaker 1 (38:26):
I would never thought.

Speaker 2 (38:27):
That matchup would intrigue me a couple of years ago,
but you know, teams change quickly.

Speaker 1 (38:31):
I think Cowboys.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
Browns is going to be really interesting to see where
the Cowboys are at and.

Speaker 1 (38:35):
Where the Browns are with Deshaun Watson for a full season.

Speaker 2 (38:37):
They have some good offseason acquisitions and uh, you know,
I think I don't know why I'm picking this one,
but I want to see Sam Darnold.

Speaker 1 (38:47):
I want to see what the.

Speaker 2 (38:48):
Vikings do against against the Giants, because the Giants are
they gonna be a bottom feeder? Do they got some
you know, do they got some juice to surprise people?

Speaker 1 (38:57):
Are they gonna be the worst? Who knows?

Speaker 2 (38:59):
As far as other shows, Danny G, you could back
me up Bad Monkey on Apple TV.

Speaker 1 (39:05):
Are you watching it? You're watching? Yeah?

Speaker 7 (39:07):
Okay, hearing a lot of good things about it. I
think I mentioned to you guys before. It reminds me
a lot of Fletch. Yeah, oh yeah, like a modern
version of Fletch.

Speaker 2 (39:16):
There's like good narration. Well at the same time, it's funny,
it's a little it's a little grimy, a little a
little violent.

Speaker 1 (39:23):
It's fun.

Speaker 2 (39:24):
So you got Bad Monkey Vince Vaughn on Apple TV,
on Netflix, Leev Shreiver and Nicole Kidts.

Speaker 1 (39:33):
It looks so good spot you gotta check out the
Perfect Couple. I'm gonna check this out.

Speaker 4 (39:36):
We know Nicole Kimman's last movie was was Garbage, that
one with Zach Effron. Yeah, this one's supposed to be good.
It like takes place, I think on Nantucket.

Speaker 1 (39:43):
It's rich people.

Speaker 4 (39:44):
It's like a mystery. Yeah, someone marries into like a
rich family and someone dies of course, you know. So
it's there's a lot of like twists and turns I
think are going to be in this movie. I'm excited
about it. Trailer looks really good.

Speaker 2 (39:54):
You know, I'm trying to stay positive with all the
football and some good baseball and you know, a perfect
couple and Bad Monkey. Have you guys watched either like
Worst X or Worst X Roommate. That's whole series because
Roommate was the first one. It's really good and now
it's like what ex girlfriend or boyfriend was X. Yeah,
Worst X meeting boyfriend or girlfriend there it's but it's

(40:15):
the same people that did Worst X Roommate. Yeah right, Yeah,
it's definitely worth the watch.

Speaker 1 (40:20):
Check that out. That's on Netflix. Okay, Danny G anything
you want to add.

Speaker 7 (40:24):
I think you know which football game I'm most excited
for Raiders at their vacation home so far, their second
home away from home there against the Chargers. Harbaugh's debut
with the Bolts, and you know who always goes off
against the Chargers, Davante Adams. His best numbers are against
the Chargers.

Speaker 2 (40:44):
Let me ask you, didn't he say today to not
believe the noise like a couple of days ago.

Speaker 7 (40:48):
Yeah, he said, don't believe any of that noise out there.
That he loves being.

Speaker 2 (40:52):
In Vegas with what the way so far is set
up where the Rams and the Chargers obviously play, it's
gonna be like one hundred and fifteen degrees to begin.
Does that play a role in the stadium because I
know there's like they close but not.

Speaker 7 (41:05):
They do have a cooling system and there's just wings
that are open on the sides of the stadium.

Speaker 2 (41:09):
They'll be playing with sham Wal's and their butt cracks
just to observe that sweat.

Speaker 1 (41:14):
Hopefully it's not too horrible inside there.

Speaker 7 (41:16):
But I'm really excited to see what Minshew can do
with that offense and if the Raiders defense will be
strong again like the way they finished last season.

Speaker 1 (41:25):
That is going to be a fun watch.

Speaker 7 (41:26):
And then really quick on Max it's Sunday, guys, I know,
we got football, so you might want to push this
off a little bit, but they are presenting that documentary
event wise Guy David Chase and The Sopranos, directed by
Oscar winner Alex Gibney, two part doc lasting seventy four
minutes each. It looks back at the phenomenon that was
The Sopranos.

Speaker 2 (41:47):
That's on now, that's debut Sunday. Oh hell yeah, I'm
watching that. And of course tonight's game. Is it going
to break last night's ratings? Probably noway, but Spots said
it was a record breaker last night.

Speaker 1 (42:02):
It was I believe twenty nine point eight million.

Speaker 4 (42:05):
People or sorry, let's just reverse that. Twenty eight point
nine million people. It was the biggest seasoned opener for
an NFL in sane.

Speaker 1 (42:13):
It's like the NFL can do no wrong. I'm sure, Honestly,
I'm sure Taylor Swift helped that. There's no doubt, right,
a couple of things. And by the way, just we
had a great piece of feedback gets about them.

Speaker 4 (42:23):
No, I was gonna say, obviously, spooky seasons right around
the corner. If you're heading to the theater this weekend, beatlejuice,
Beatle juice, come ye, so you know, if you want
to be there opening weekend, definitely check it out.

Speaker 1 (42:33):
It's gonna be go.

Speaker 2 (42:33):
Oh. I want to say, we were talking about Brittany
Mahomes and Taylor Swift.

Speaker 1 (42:37):
Our buddy Wes hit us up.

Speaker 2 (42:38):
Saying if they did sit together last night, they would
have showed the world that you could have different political
decisions and be friends, but they opted to sit apart.

Speaker 1 (42:46):
Right.

Speaker 2 (42:46):
Hey, we'll see you guys on Monday. Enjoy your first
official week in football.

Speaker 1 (42:51):
Are there? Maybe see you in the Promised by
