Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
What a window of games we've got here in week eleven,
keeping you track on what is happening in Glendale, in Denver,
in Los Angeles and in Cleveland. Were for you fun
times in Cleveland today? Close enough, Uns and Ravens, Broncos
(00:27):
and Chiefs in a field goal kicking contest sort of
the Seahawks. The problem with them is the Rams are
at a touchdown scoring contest. And that's why the Rams
are right now up on Seattle. Well, welcome back Brock Party.
Yeah right, so far, so good for the forty nine
ers in Arizona. Welcome in. It is end Zone Radio.
He is Kerry Rhoades. Hit him up at Kerry twenty
five Roads. You can find me at Dan Byer on Fox.
(00:49):
This is a week that we've looked head to quite
a bit. The marquee games Chiefs Broncos. Definitely, when the
schedule was set up, that was going to be the
marquee game. That's where Jim answered, Tony Romo are and
you've got two teams battling for the top of the
AFC West. But as the season went on and as
we entered this week, many including myself and I believe yourself, Yeah,
(01:11):
felt that the game of this late window was in
the NFC West with the Rams having that lead right
now on the Seahawks on.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
I think we both had the inclination that both of
these teams are going to be really good. And you know,
in NFC West its been, it's been so competitive the
top three obviously with San Francisco plan today as well,
they're all fighting for that that to win at NFC West,
and so these games are important. Uh, these teams are
taking care of business, but right now they're playing, you know,
against each other and with big aspirations of winning that division.
(01:40):
So definitely the marquee game for myself. Different stakes going on.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
But let's start with the Rams and Seahawks and why
this is such a such a big deal. First of all,
it's the first time that these two teams have played
this season. Yeah, we get a lot of funky schedule
matchups at time, but for the Seahawks and Rams week
and eleven, I don't know feel about right to me
that this should be about the time where you're getting
those divisional games. Maybe you would have the other matchups
(02:06):
in the past to set you up for the stretch
run the NFL. We know in Week eighteen makes it
all divisional games, but it's so much more carry than
just the division because of the number one seed. And
I think both of these teams are going to make
the playoffs, yes, but it's making sure you can win
the division to get that home game, maybe win the
(02:27):
division and be the second seed and get that home
game and maybe another home game or the number one
seed is still at steak here, oh Fortuate with the
Eagles sitting there, and they got their game a little
bit later on tonight against the Detroit Lions. But everything
is at stake in a jumbled not a jumbled mess
of the NFC. But we've got about eight teams for
seven spots that we're looking at right now, and the
(02:50):
top of what could happen has so many twists and
turns that it could take over the second half of
the year.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
Yeah, I mean, I think, to be honest, the way
it feels right now, I mean outside of Detroit getting
hot down the stretch, to me, I mean, Philadelphia is
going to be in the mix. But these two teams
are vying for that top spot in the NFC overall,
and they both have the teams to do it. They
both have their awards, which all these teams have right now.
But I think if they figured these things out, both
of them individually. I mean, for the Rams offensive click
(03:18):
offense has been clicking. You know, Matthew Stafford's been great.
They running running game now adding Blake korm to the
to the mix has been really you know, sensational, right.
And then you look at Seattle. The thing about them,
the defense is really really good, top notch. They can
get after you. Sam Donald's been great, but also you know,
at times is prone to turn the ball over, which
you know we talk about off air a lot. But
(03:39):
if they can fix that and the running game gets
some consistency there, I mean, they have the big play
guy with you know, with in Jigba, and so yeah,
this team, both of these teams are really well equipped
to make a really deep, deep run.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
Let's talk about the Rams just for themselves, yeah for
a minute, because a lot. Now it's seven and two.
They have a chance to beat Philadelphia earlier this season.
That may end up coming back to haunt them and
getting the field goal blocked and then it ran back
for a score. The score runback didn't matter with the
field goal block. Sure did, yes, but the Rams are
(04:11):
sitting there at seven and two. I thought a huge
win last week against San Francisco because you know those
Rams Niner games, it's a rivalry in the NFL. It's
the two coaches that know so much about each other.
And for the Rams to dominate like they did, I
thought it was impressive. Now they come out and they're
putting the ball in the end zone, and you made
a point when they ended up scoring their second touchdown
(04:32):
that I don't I don't know if you want to
say this is Devontae Adams two point zero, I'll let
you explain it yourself. But this is why DeVante Adams
is so important as a member of the Rams.
Speaker 3 (04:41):
Deavonte Adams has been big time for Matthew Stafford. He's
always gone into a season what they go to guy
when he's had success. Right, we go back to Detroit
Megatron obviously when he first got to the Rams. Cooper
Cup was a big guy at the time. Then you
added Puka and that thing as well. And we haven't
eve talked about Pooka, which is number one receiver. Yeah,
but we talk about Devonte Adams and maximizing the potential
(05:05):
of a really great player. They're not asking to run
deep routse He still can do it here occasionally, but
he has become their red zone target, and really good
teams when they get to the red zone, they score touchdowns.
The Rams have been a good job of that, and
it's really just a rapport with him and Matthew Stafford right.
A lot of these touchdowns he's catching in the red
(05:25):
zone ten yards, five yards and they're running plays. But
he will look, you know, Matthew will look at Devonte Adams.
He'll see a matchup that he likes and it doesn't
matter if it's a run or out. He's gonna throw
that man the ball one on one. And you think
about it. One on one, Devonte Adams, he's still six
to three, he's still a big body. He can go
and make the play, and he's doing that really well.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
I'm this is not meant to sound weird, but I
look at it as almost as Pookin Akua and DeVante
Adams kind of form their own Jamar Chase. And the
reason I say that is with the Bengals, and it's
no disrespect to T Higgins, but Chase does it all.
If you want it at the goal line, you'll get you.
If you want an eighty five yard touchdown, you'll get it.
(06:05):
If you need a first down, he'll get it for you. Yeah,
Puka can get all the yards, but Puka isn't necessarily
your target in a red zone situation or in a
goal to goal situation. DeVante Adams is. Yes, So it's okay.
If DeVante Adams doesn't do everything, Puka can do that
between the twenties. But when you get down to winning
(06:25):
time and you get down into the end zone and
trying to cash in and not kick field goals and
score touchdowns, like, it's the combination of them work so
well together.
Speaker 3 (06:33):
The combination is amazing. Then we haven't even talked about
the other ancillary pieces. Right, the running game, it's so great.
But also they have the big play guy too and
too to that well, right, the guy that can stress
to stress the feel.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
You know, I'm gonna be picking the Louisville goal. But
what I'm saying off weekend for the Cards.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
Yes, why I didn't say, Oh I had to go there, Dan, No,
I'll go there, but you know what I mean, Like
everything about that offense is so well versed and they
have all the weapons if they this is their year
to kind of, you know, plant their flag and that
offense that everybody's af freight up again.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
Now, just on the Seahawks side of things, as they
take over the ball first and ten deep in their
own territory, seven thirty to go until halftime, Rams up
fourteen to six. The thing that I've harped on it's now,
I've been a Seahawks fan all my life, but I
will try to be impartial. I think I can do
a pretty good job of that. I think most people
that in this business can do a pretty good job
(07:22):
of that. But I've just harped on the Seahawks turnovers,
and that's it's a legitimate concern heading into this game.
The Seahawks had sixteen giveaways as a team. They played
nine games. It's almost to a game that they're giving
the and they're seven and two, and what's set up
the Seahawks giving up the rams first touchdown was a
(07:47):
Sam Darnold interception. And so if Seattle's going to have
success and if they're going to want to do damage,
they're going to have to figure out a way to
hold on to the football. They're not out of this
game by any means. Kenneth Walker just had a nice
run to bring him outside of the shadow. They're on
goalposts to get it out to about the thirty or
thirty five yard line. But that turnover right now, and
(08:09):
even if it's just the one of the game turned
into seven points for the Rams, that's a pretty big deal. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
Good, great teams don't turn the ball over, right, They
limit your opportunities to harm them during the game. And
with Seattle, they've you know, taking control of most of
these games and been up, and even being up, they'll
put the ball in harm's way. I mean not just Donald,
They've had other guys turn the ball over as well.
(08:35):
But if they want to reach where they want to reach,
I think the biggest thing when I watched Seattle, and
I've looked at them a little bit more because of you, Dan,
but they have to find a number two receiver. And
now Cooper Cup sometimes you know, can make plays still
across the middle, but he's not that guy anymore. So
for them, finding a comfortable guy that can be a
number two for them is going to be I think
(08:57):
the biggest factor for them going making the long run
because Donald when you watch these games, he's.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
Locked on him Jigoba, I mean, and he's not coming off.
So they gonna have to find that next guy in
Rashid Shahed is the guy they acquired from the Saint
So you're hoping if you're a Seahawks fan, that that
happens at the second part of the year. By the way,
big pass play, two in jig bow, one handed catch'll
get them into Rams territory. Browns had a third and
goal Dylan Gabriel unable to connect in a three to
three ball game, so Cleveland is going to have to
(09:24):
settle for a field goal attempt in a battle of
the Browns against the team that technically wasn't the former
Browns but is the former Browns and the Baltimore Ravens.
Rocco's still holding on to that six to three lead
against the Chiefs early in the second quarter, while the
Cardinals kicked a field goal against the Niners, but it's
still San Francisco up nineteen to ten about six minutes
(09:45):
to go until halftime in that one this Chiefs Broncos game,
Andy riidolf of a bye twenty two and four throughout
his career nine to three is a head coach of
the Chiefs. And the last time we saw Denver they
were barely getting by a Raiders team, winning ten to
seven on Thursday Night Football. And now they've lost JK. Dobbins.
I thought Kansas City had an opportunity to go in
(10:06):
and make a statement. They came in, they were favorites
in this game, and right now, early on in the
second quarter, they've been unable to get into the end
zone and they trail six to three. Yeah, this is
going to be a war, a war of attrition game.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
Even though they're coming off of by Kansas City, they're
still figuring some things out. They just, you know, they
got rights back a couple of games agoing we you know,
I think everybody kind of was like, Oh, I think
the Chiefs are back and they're high flying, They're going
to score a lot of points. That may be the case,
but now they're playing against a really good defense. Even
though they're they're minus Patrick Sartan today, this team gets
after you. They're going to rush the passer and if
(10:39):
you can get pressure on any quarterback, doesn't matter if
it's Patrick Mahomes or not. They're going to have to
take what the defense gives. And I think for the Chiefs,
happen that week off the game plan and get ready
for this game. They're going to come in schematically ready
to play. But Patrick Mahomes is going to have to
feel this thing. God, it's not going to be easy.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
In Denver, Browns were able to kick that field goal,
so they're up six to three on the rail eight
forty four to go until halftime. Chiefs just converting on
a third and two to get a fresh set of
downs as they approach midfields if you're worthy with the catch.
Of course, the Chiefs of the struggles that they had
early on in the season, they were without Rice, they
were without Worthy because of that injured that he suffered
(11:16):
in the opening game. And yeah, there's there's the opportunity there.
But to your point of it, is it going to
change overnight? No, And we always talk about things playing
in concert with each other, So we'll see how it
plays with the Chiefs. I don't think they want to
score forty points a game, right, I mean I don't
think that you want to. I think they'll put your
defense on the field. Well, I should say you don't
(11:37):
want to score forty points a game and be on
the field for twenty minutes, because then your defense is
on the field for a lot and the other team
may score forty five. It's called the Bengals and Cowboys philosophy.
That is correct, and.
Speaker 3 (11:46):
I think about them, Sorry Dan, But the thing about
the Chiefs also is in the past years, the past
couple of years in particular, their defense has been so
good that they could squander Like this year, they don't
have that margin for error as well. Sure, but the
thing about Denver is they don't score points early, and
so right now it's kind of the game's kind of
status quo at this moment because no offense is really
(12:06):
taken control yet.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
All right, So here's where we stand. Seahawks have the football.
They're on a drive that's covered seventy eight yards now
in the red zone, a second and seven from the
Rams thirteen and a half yard line in a fourteen
to six ball game. If the Seahawks are able to
cash in and get into the end zone with about
the Rams, by the way, don't have any more timeouts,
(12:28):
So the Seahawks can work the clock here, but they're
gonna be facing a big third down. But to wather
the storm to whether that early turnover would be big
for Seattle in that contest the Ravens. I know everybody says,
here come the Ravens, but.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
It's a division game. It's always tough. They always the Browns,
always play them tough. But you're right, though, I mean
when you watch Baltimore, I don't think and we talked
about I think last week, even though I you know,
I figured they were going on a run here, they're
still not scary though, and you know you said and
you said that last week, like they're not nobody. I
don't think anybody's scare of them right now. And they
got a lot of things to figure out. Even offensively.
(13:04):
I mean, the Browns defense, it's good, but around this time,
like Baltimore should be, you know, score more points.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
It's really no different than Joe Burrow and the Bengals.
Like we look at Joe Burrow coming back for Cincinnati
and say, oh about the Bengals, But it's just that, Okay,
Joe Burrow in the offense, well, they can score forty
points because they're gonna need to because their defense is
giving up that amount. And so there's there's not a
lot of difference between the two teams who are trying
to catch the Steelers in the AFC North and the
(13:32):
forty nine lead Brock Purty forty nine O lead squad
party seven to ten, ninety eight yards and two touchdowns
so far in his return from that toe injury. As
he's played in just two games this season, Cardinals have
the football back inside their ten San Francisco up nine
in that contest. Be sure to check out the Fox

You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio. Panthers and Falcons.
It's a twenty eight yarder for the win. Jaj the snap,
Mart puts it down, Fitzgerald swings the leg, the kick
is good, and the Panthers walk it off and over
to time again. Hit Atlanta your final score, Carolina thirty
(15:05):
Atlanta twenty seven, Ryan Fitzgerald the game winning kick once again.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
Here's Dan Beyer and Carrie Rhodes.
Speaker 2 (15:16):
Ninety nine point seven the Fox Panthers Radio Network with
a highlight. The music by one Carrie Rhoades is the
single is out Hush, and the Panthers said, Hey Atlanta fans, Hush,
We're gonna sweep you this season, and we're gonna go
into your backyard and get an overtime victory. Bryce young
(15:37):
Man breaking Cam Newton's single game mark for passing yards
in a game thirty one of forty five, four hundred
and forty eight yards and three touchdowns Carolina six and five,
the Falcons three and seven. Bryce Young. It's not technically
a come from behind win, but in Bryce Young's eleven
(16:00):
victories entering of his NFL career entering this week nine,
head game winning drives on them. And yeah, there's been
an up and down of Bryce Young. However, last year
we saw an uptick with Carolina at the end of
the year. Now we're a week eleven. He even got
(16:22):
dinged up in this game against Atlanta and goes and
throws for almost four hundred and fifty yards. That's who
we should call the comeback kid, because if they're going
to win a game, it's likely going to be with
Bryce Young bringing them back. Yeah, we have talked about
this a lot.
Speaker 3 (16:37):
This is the team that I wanted to see this year,
and it's just they've been up and down. Like you said,
I mean, even Bryce Young, right, as much as I
want to see him take that next step, seems like
something pulls him down or you'd have to start reverting
to the running game. We'd have to do things to
kind of eke out wins. But you just said it.
If he has the ball last from what we've seen
(16:58):
and they have a chance to win game, he comes through.
So you want to have that guy, you know, be
able to kind of foster up this positive affirmation and.
Speaker 2 (17:10):
Like Mojoe's what I would call it.
Speaker 3 (17:12):
Yeah, right, like have that throughout the whole game, and
so we can, you know, see what he can be.
Speaker 2 (17:17):
And I think we kind of see what he is.
He's kind of up, He's kind of.
Speaker 3 (17:20):
The middle of the pack right now, he's kind of
up and down, but in those key moments he make
plays and for them right now to bounce back. They
were five and five. This could easily be the loss
that puts them on the five hundred and then and
then things go downhill. But they were able to fight
back and win a game that Atlanta needed as well,
and in that fashion to throw for that many yards
(17:40):
and throw the ball and make plays. Man, I'm proud
of him, and I just want to see what happens
next for this team. I think this is a team
that can sneak in the playoffs, which I talked about
last week.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
I want to continue this conversation, but I want to
tell you Derek Henry snuck into the end zone. Ravens
were down ten. After the Browns were able to get
a defensive touchdown Devin Bush with the return of an
inner of a deflect ball for an interception and back
for a score. Browns are up thirteen three. Ravens have
answered that, so it's now thirteen to ten. Seahawks settled
for a field goal at the end of the first half,
(18:08):
could not get it into the end zone. They've got
three field goals, Rams have two touchdowns. That's why LA's
up fourteen to nine. Still a nineteen ten ball game
between the Niners and Cardinals, while the Chiefs they had
to settle for three hot up at six apiece with
Denver with four to thirty five to go until halftime.
Here's where I am with Bryce Young, and it's a
little bit of deja vous. I'm at a spot with
(18:28):
him that I was with Tua at And the reason
I say that is because I'm still not convinced Bryce
Young is the end all be all, Sure, but if
you have weapons around him, like ric o'dowdell. If he
almost scored on a play that would have given them
the lead, and he ended up his foot was out
of bonds, but they still were able to cash in
(18:49):
points late in that in that contest against the Falcons,
if you have Ted McMillan, who used a top ten
pick on as your top wide receiver, Xavier Lagett came
through today with four catches in eighty three yards. He
was an early second rounder for them last year. You've
got pieces around Bryce Young. So maybe not the same,
(19:11):
but Tyreek Kill, Jalen Waddle, Devon a chan or at
one point Raheem Mostert those pieces around him. I'm I'm
hoping for Bryce Young's sake first overall, picking you know
in the draft a couple of years ago that he
can able to take it to the next level, and
he did in this game against Atlanta, and then this
sort of script we've seen two do the same thing.
(19:33):
I'm just now curious if Carolina at six and five
in the thick of the playoff hunt, if you're not
playing a shootout game or a game where you're down
twenty one to seven at one point and having to
throw it, how can you respond? That's so that's kind
of where I am like, and I felt like at
one point we were there with Tua. I think we're
past that now. I just wonder where Bryce Young is
gonna go at this.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
So, Dan, you're trying to tell me that Alabama just
produced a system quarterback, is what you're trying to tell me.
Speaker 2 (19:57):
You go to Alabama, you're going to like Ty Simpson.
I don't know if he'll be a simp system quarterback,
but I really I really like him. Hey, Mac Jones
not starting to die.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
But right, all right, you go in to Newson Championship Obama,
you'll be a first round quarterback and you'll be a
sitting now.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
But no, like that's a great.
Speaker 3 (20:13):
Point though Bryce Young has kind of been the way
I think to uh has done more with that situation
so far. But right now we're in that position, like
you just said, where it's it's year three for Bryce?
Speaker 2 (20:26):
Is this three? Yes? Yep? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (20:28):
Like this is like he needs to right now from
this point on six and five, if he can take
this team to the playoffs and elevate this team with
his play, not with the way the system's going, not
because the running games clicking, Like if he can start
to do these things and again he was forced to
do it this game because they were down and you
have to pass the ball to get back in it.
(20:49):
But will canal List trust him to open it open
it up more and make some of these throws and
set up the running game.
Speaker 2 (20:54):
Yes, that's it. It's a really good point because in
the Rico Dowdle games that we've saw them have success,
Rigo Daddells had some great rushing games. So Chuba Hubbard
even last year, was a great weapon for them. When
they turned it on in the second half of the year,
it was the running game coming first. Now may kudos
tip of the cap to Bryce Young in being able
(21:15):
to do his part. Is Yes, again, he was almost
up to four hundred and fifty yards today and that
went against Atlanta. And by the way, the Falcons are
three and seven, and you're starting to hear a bit more.
Here's where I am. I'm completely lost on Atlanta, and
I feel like it's a team that I've been lost
on for the last ten years. I have no idea
(21:35):
what Atlanta is or who Atlanta is. And this goes
back to the Matt Ryan year when I kept on
wanting to count him out and he ends up winning
the MVP and they go to the Super Bowl. I
never know who Atlanta is. Yeah, you have two running
backs that are studs. One is just a super duper study,
Bijon Robinson being that super duper stud. We saw Tyler
l Geer last week against the Colts getting in the
(21:58):
end zone twice. That would be, to me be their identity.
Drake London seven catches today, one hundred and nineteen yards,
So you have a weapon. But Michael Panix had to
leave the game thirteen of sixteen one hundred and seventy
five yards. But they weren't able to do a lot
with it. Kirk Cousins came in just six or fourteen
for forty eight yards. But what's their identity? And maybe
(22:19):
they needed to buy coming off of their game in
Germany against Berlin. That's a risky proposition, and they're like,
you can tell the NFL we don't want to buy
after the European trip and they'll schedule you. You can
get it by at a different time. So the Falcons
likely had a choice, Yeah, and they decided to play
after the game. You wonder if any of that caught
(22:40):
up to them because they had to lead in this contest.
I just don't know what their identity is. Carrie Yeah,
the Falcons are the most disappointing team for me this season. Overall,
have way too much talent to be through and seven
you look at the coaching staff, I don't know if
they're prepared to play. And I don't mean like they're
not ready to go, ready to take their swing on
(23:00):
game day. But what you just said, like game plans
specific stuff.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
When you watch Atlanta, it's different every game, and I
know each game kind of dictates, you know, for good teams,
it dictates what you're gonna do. For really good teams
and great teams, we have our identity. We're going to
do this and we're gonna make you stop us. I
never see that with Atlanta. I think they go into
the game trying to do what the other team does
(23:25):
worse instead of doing what they want to do best.
And that's the thing when I watch them. They got
way too many weapons all over the place. Tight End
Kyle Pitts has played better this year. Like all of
those things are good. Then you have a game. Each
game is different, obviously, but for them each game is extreme.
Defense plays well one game and the offense runs the
(23:46):
ball and that's their identity.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
Yeah, and they score thirty points.
Speaker 3 (23:49):
The next game. The defense plays bad, the passing game
is good, the running games like. There's no consistency with
what they're trying to do. So that's why they're three
and seven.
Speaker 2 (23:56):
Atlanta the ball for twenty seven minutes today in the
game that went to overtime. Carolina held it for ten
minutes more in that contest, And I think if you went,
you know, box for box, Atlanta would win with the
check marks. And I know it's not just the skill
position players as well, but there's just there's no identity
to Atlanta. And what some people felt was a home
run higher and bringing Raheem Morris back getting the full
(24:18):
time job. Heard rumblings this week of yeah, maybe Raheem
Morris isn't gonna make it for year three in Atlanta.
Speaker 3 (24:24):
Yeah, I think I think there is need for a
change for them. It just it sucks when you talk about,
you know, somebody losing their job, but they have too
much talent and so you can't keep putting the same
product forward and not getting the results.
Speaker 2 (24:36):
Yeah, you can't waste bijon No like the Giants kind
of did Saquan No, right, that's just you can't afford
to do that. All right, he's carry roads. I'm Dan Byer.
Let's jump to the news. Tsk Manzi's got her eye
on what's happening in the four games, some of them
still going on on the first half. What do you got,
mons I spy, MONSI.
Speaker 6 (24:53):
Yeah, I also have a basketball game on. But anyway,
huh guys.
Speaker 7 (24:56):
So the forty nine ers in a field goal and
then Jacoby Brissaid just throw an interception, so San Francisco
gets the ball back. They are up right now twenty
two to ten, with about nineteen seconds to go in
the first half. Down to the final two minutes in
Cleveland between the Ravens and the Browns, where the Browns
are leading thirteen to ten, but Ravens currently have the ball,
and down to the final three minutes of the first
half between the Chiefs and the Broncos they are tied
(25:18):
at six apiece.
Speaker 6 (25:19):
And we are at the half here.
Speaker 7 (25:21):
At Sofi Stadium as the Rams are leading the Seahawks
fourteen to nine. Sam Darnold in this one so far,
he is ten of sixteen for ninety two yards and
an interception you mentioned earlier. Seahawks have only hit field
goals so far in the first half of that, but
earlier today. You know, it all started in Madrid. So
should I do this in Spanish?
Speaker 2 (25:38):
Yeah, yes, polase the referee did. They're not really Oh funny,
I love that.
Speaker 7 (25:45):
I love that.
Speaker 6 (25:45):
Go those dolphins.
Speaker 7 (25:47):
Like I'm not on alos, commanders and madabies, he says atrees,
but on overtime. There's certain things you say. You still
say them in English, you know what I mean. Like,
it's just funny when I hear anything in Spanish, when
it's like baseball, they still say home.
Speaker 6 (25:59):
Run, mate. You know what I'm saying. That's how it's saying.
Speaker 7 (26:02):
Yeah, so commanders command they still exactly exactly. Washington has
lost six in a row. Following their loss in Madrid.
This morning, the Bills improved to.
Speaker 6 (26:11):
Seven and three.
Speaker 7 (26:11):
They had a forty four to thirty two win over
the Buccaneers. Josh Allen threw for three hundred and seventeen
yards three touchdowns. He had two interceptions, but he also
had six carries for forty yards and three.
Speaker 6 (26:21):
Touchdowns on the ground.
Speaker 7 (26:22):
The Panthers defeat the Falcons in Atlanta thirty to twenty
seven in overtime. Bryce Young as you guys were just
talking about through for four hundred and forty eight yards.
That is a single game passing yard record for the Panthers.
The Packers top the Giants twenty seven to twenty. Steelers
improved to six and four outscored the Bengals thirty four
to twelve. Something to keep an eye on is that
Aaron Rodgers did leave the game with the left hand injury.
(26:43):
They said, they said, he's going to have his wrist
evaluated tomorrow. Jaguars crushed the Chargers thirty five to six,
And I want to talk about it. Bears won it
thank you on a field goal nineteen to seventeen against
the Vikings, and the Texans walked it off with the
field goal to defeat the.
Speaker 6 (26:58):
Titans sixteen to thirteen.
Speaker 7 (27:00):
And also Times wide receiver Calvin Ridley broke his fibula
and is done for the season. And my Clippers were
down twenty they're not anymore against the Celtics. Celtics are
still up ninety five eighty seven.
Speaker 1 (27:10):
Yeah, come on, come on.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
So they've they've cut the twenty point lead to eight.
Speaker 6 (27:16):
Correct, Correct, it was down to five. It was stunned
for five. It's still early in the fourth court. Come
on and Spurs without victor.
Speaker 7 (27:24):
One Bonyamar beating the King's ninety one seventy two wow
late in the third?
Speaker 2 (27:27):
Yeah, what's happening in college hoops?
Speaker 7 (27:28):
Manse in college hoops? I'm sorry, I really should be
paying Moreton number.
Speaker 2 (27:33):
One, Houston top twenty second ranked Auburn today seventy three
to seventy two.
Speaker 6 (27:37):
Survived, Yeah, survived, survived.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
That was just Bruce. That was thirty pool than Bruce
Pearl's son coaching. Yes, of right, Fauburn, YEP, that's correct.
How about Louisville basketball with a big one this week?
Those boys are ready, Dan, They're good, I'll Chris Purfet.
Speaker 8 (27:58):
How about the late night stunn that happened in Minneapolis.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
Yeah, well, well, Doug Gottlieb's Green Bay squad took the
Gophers to overtime.
Speaker 8 (28:08):
Oh they did, Yeah, twelve fought game like to come back.
I think they were down like two points with like
twelve seconds ago. They're tying its overtime.
Speaker 2 (28:17):
They did well. Not only did they tie it with
it under two seconds to go, Preston Rudeger made a layup,
Minnesota got the inbound kid shuts it from hell. Kit
there Chris don't worry sixty feet and makes it. Oh,
it was after the horn. The Phoenix did not have
enough in overtime to pull it out, but seventy to
(28:40):
sixty five they lost, But heck of an effort by
green Bay.
Speaker 3 (28:43):
Started playing a little better this year because they had
the tremendous losing streak last year, Right was it thirty?
Speaker 2 (28:49):
How many games? Well they were, listen, they were They
won four games last year there were four and twenty eight.
I don't know what the losing streak was, but by playing,
they're playing. Yeah, Doug took the team over in May.
Of course, Yeah, that's the easiest thing to do so.
But they had a pretty good effort against the Golden
Gophers on Saturday, and I just couldn't pick up the w.
(29:11):
The point that I wanted to make about Louisville and Kentucky, though,
was how awesome of an atmosphere it was in Louisville,
and so to have that sort of energy in a
game like that, and it's I think it's probably better
for college basketball that Louisville wins that game. I know
there's a lot of momentum after Louisville made the tournament
(29:31):
last year. But to go now win the game this
year and have the sort of game that you had. Yeah,
it was good. Good watching this week.
Speaker 3 (29:39):
No, Dan, they you know Louisville is a basketball It's
a basketball school.
Speaker 2 (29:43):
Absolutely, yes, and the last couple of years has been down.
Speaker 3 (29:47):
I went back to visit, went to a game, and
I couldn't believe it was little. Yeah, it was nobody
in it and its year.
Speaker 2 (29:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (29:56):
Yeah, but Pat Kelsey's in the great opportunity that thing
around really quickly.
Speaker 2 (29:59):
Yes, So it was a great, great set to see
in college hoops. And Manzi, the Clippers get any closer
than the eight points.
Speaker 6 (30:06):
Yes, actually you're down six left about eight minutes.
Speaker 2 (30:12):
Yeah, yeah, got a chance we.
Speaker 6 (30:13):
Do, even though you have not been good.
Speaker 2 (30:15):
All right, Well, look over some fantasy numbers. Can you
give us those in like seven minutes or so? He's
carry roads. I'm Dan Beyer. It is end Zone Radio.
Still a thirteen to ten ballgame. Browns on top of
the Ravens as they play in Cleveland. By the way,
good looking game right now with these uniforms, browns of
the orange helmets, orange pants. Trying to describe it completely
(30:38):
opposite of what the Rams and their stupid rivalry uniforms
are wearing. I've even warmed to the newer Ram horn design,
but this black midnight Navy whatever you want to call it,
just doesn't do it for me. But they're just underway
in the second half, Seahawks already facing a third and
nine from their own thirty six yard line and Sam
Donald was just picked off. This is I'm telling you.
(31:02):
There was pressure up the middle through it late, but
this is this is what's going to Just just to
have a game with zero turnovers. Yeah, maybe just Carrie,
just have a game with one. Just have the one
here they had it earlier. Set the Rams up for
a score. Right now, you're you went into the locker
room kicking a field goal, which was a minor win
(31:23):
for the Rams. But if you're the Seahawks, you still
got points. You're getting the football at the start of
the second half. Now, not only do you not score,
you turn it over, and now the Rams are going
to be set up first and ten in your own
territory up five. It's an absolute killer.
Speaker 3 (31:38):
You cannot throw the ball late to the outside. You
can't throw the ball late anywhere, but throwing the ball
late to the outside it's going to be an interception,
and so you know, Sam Donald was taking a big
hit there, just I don't know what down it was,
but just got to you probably got to eat that
one third and nine.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
You got to eat that, yes, in that scenario. I
don't want to sound like a negative Nelly with all
of this. I just sat on the network this week
of when you're looking at the MVP odds, Sam Donald
and his stats are great except for the turnovers, and
it's honestly been the part of his career that has
(32:14):
been the most scrutinized. And I don't know why it's
not being talked about more. I know why it's not
being talked about more. It's because they're seven and two.
But you know, Jackson Smith the Jig was coming into
the game as an MVP candidate at one hundred to
one and Sam Donald's odds are twelve to one, maybe
even even better. And this is the reason on maybe
(32:38):
why they're not eight and one. You know, this is
the reason why they're so He's been great, but it's
when you need to make the crucial plays. And I
thought that this is the case with Jimmy Garoppolo, and
I feel that Sam Donald at this point in his
career is having a better career than Jimmy Garoppolo. But
it felt like the forty nine ers felt there was
a ceiling. But also there were one or two plays
(32:58):
a game that Jimmy you just couldn't make or would
just have you scratching your head. We remember the Super Bowl,
the overthrow of Emanuel Sanders in Super Bowl fifty four,
And that's just the point of right now. For as
good as the Seahawks defense is playing, and I think
they just got the football back forcing their own turnover.
You can't have those you can't have those turnovers if
you're Seattle, and they've got to figure out a way
(33:20):
to put a stop.
Speaker 3 (33:21):
To And I was just I was about to say
before the turnover, right, like you know the Seattle obviously
it's going to be a close game. These are two,
you know, tightly matched teams. They do it differently, but
the way that the Seahawks aren't playing, it's going to
be hard for Sam Darnold not to turn the ball over.
Speaker 2 (33:37):
And I'll tell you why.
Speaker 3 (33:39):
They're making them go the long way. They're making them
have to drive the ball down the field more frequency,
more throws equals the possibility of more turnovers. And so
that's the way they're playing this game right now. And
they're bending but not breaking. They're holding them the threes.
You're not going to win this game by kicking field goals.
So it's going to come down to execution in the
(33:59):
red zone. Now, they got a tone over their own. Now,
they got to try to take the lead here, but
they got to take care of the ball. The Rams
are intensively making them drive to drive the field a
long way.
Speaker 2 (34:08):
The Seahawks have had the ball for almost two thirds
of the game right fed more first downs twelve to
seven total yards one seventy two to one thirty five.
So offensively, they've moved the ball. And again that's the
glitz and glamour, but you're not seeing the guts of it,
and so that's an issue. Yep, all right, he's carry roads.
I'm dan Byer. Seahawks got the football back, but the
(34:28):
Rams still lead by a score of fourteen to nine.
Fourth and inches for the Broncos right now in a
six to six ball game against the Kansas City Chiefs
nearing the end of the first half, Denver's got the
football at their own thirty six yard line. And if
you're Sean Payton, here you go. I clock is ticked down,
(34:50):
about thirty seven seconds left on the clock. I punt this.
Speaker 3 (34:55):
There was no way you go for this, Dan, But
Sehn Peyton, you know you know him? Yes we do.
Forty nine Ers kicked a field goal.
Speaker 2 (35:02):
Up twenty five to ten on the Cardinals at the half,
and it's the Browns kicking a field goal. They're up
sixteen to ten on the Ravens. Nearing halftime in Cleveland.
He's carry roads. I'm Dan Byer. Fantasy numbers next on
end Zone Radio.
Speaker 4 (35:14):

Speaker 1 (35:27):
It's gonna be second. At eighteen.
Speaker 9 (35:29):
Jackson shutgun with Mitchell to his right back to throw.
Here comes Delpa. They set up the screen, fall.
Speaker 1 (35:34):
Over the air. It's picked off.
Speaker 10 (35:35):
Devin Bus part sideline cuts inside the ten.
Speaker 1 (35:38):
He's at the five. Hes pick six.
Speaker 2 (35:43):
Devin Bush and the.
Speaker 4 (35:47):
Browns take the leaf back to Dan Byer and carry Rhodes.
Speaker 2 (35:52):
Brown's radio network on the call, and le Brownies go
in to the locker room with a sixteen to ten
lead on the Baltimore Race evens one of four games
in this late window. Chiefs have the football set to
throw a hail Mary on a fourth and eleven from
their own thirty five and a six to six ball
game with the Broncos, while the Seahawks are driving down
(36:13):
the field in a fourteen to nine game, Rams have
the lead nine to twenty five in counting Seahawks getting
inside the red zone again. They've settled for three field
goals as we've talked about, and Sam Darnold underthrew Rashid
Shaheed on what would have been a touchdown ball was
deflected away. So now the Seahawks facing a third and
eleven if they don't want to kick again. But the
(36:35):
Cleveland Browns right now putting it on the Ravens in
an AFC North battle.
Speaker 3 (36:39):
Yeah, the Browns are taking advantage of a couple of
Ravens mis cues. We had a drop punt inside the
ten yard line that the brown scored on, and then
we had to pick six that the brown scored on
as well. So Cleveland's taking advantage of those opportunities and
winning the game right now. This is the must win
for the Ravens. Obviously they can't lose this one. And
the Browns are plants off was they always played the
(37:00):
Ravens tough, so you know it's going to be interesting
down the stretch to see if the Ravens can pull
it up.
Speaker 2 (37:05):
Like new kids on the block. Mancy Belanos is hanging tough,
and she's got some Fantasy numbers for.
Speaker 1 (37:09):
Us, Fantasy hits.
Speaker 2 (37:13):
And missing. Oh, she's tracked up.
Speaker 6 (37:17):
That's right, James Harden. That's right, he just hit a
big three.
Speaker 2 (37:20):
I love James Harden own radio.
Speaker 6 (37:22):
I own so many. Yes, no, I got you, I
got you. I could do both, you know, yes, no,
you know?
Speaker 2 (37:30):
Okay, yes, Fantasy is a good multitasker.
Speaker 6 (37:32):
That's right. That's right, Fantasy hits.
Speaker 7 (37:34):
We'll start here with the quarterbacks, because Josh Allen is
your leading quarterback of the day so far, forty eight points.
Speaker 6 (37:41):
He threw for three hundred and seventeen yards three touchdowns.
Speaker 7 (37:44):
He had two interceptions, but he also rushed for forty
yards and three touchdowns and coming in at number two.
Speaker 6 (37:51):
Our little brother, everyone's little brother.
Speaker 2 (37:53):
Bryce ya.
Speaker 6 (37:53):
That's right, thirty seven points.
Speaker 7 (37:55):
He threw for four hundred and forty eight yards, three touchdowns,
no picks what however, for Bryce Young. When it comes
to wide receiver as well, Bryce Young threw the ball
a lot to tetor Roa McMillan.
Speaker 6 (38:06):
He is your leading wide.
Speaker 7 (38:07):
Receiver of the day thirty three points, eight catches for
one hundred and thirty yards and two touchdowns, and Nico
Collins he's giving you twenty four points the second leading
wide receiver so far so far the games that have
finished today, nine catches for ninety two yards and a touchdown.
When it comes to the running back, Sean Tucker did
a lot for the Buccaneers. It wasn't enough, but he
(38:27):
is the leading running back today thirty three points. He
had nineteen carries for one hundred and six yards, two
touchdowns plus two catches for thirty four yards and a touchdown.
Your other running back Bejon Robinson with twenty nine points.
He had twenty three carries one hundred and four yards,
two touchdowns plus four catches for thirty nine yards and
an honorable mention of Kenneth Gainwell, who also has twenty
(38:48):
nine points.
Speaker 6 (38:49):
He is your other top leading running back of the day.
He did most of his work though, catching the ball
instead of running the ball.
Speaker 7 (38:55):
He had nine carries for twenty four yards, but seven
catches for eighty one yards and two touchdowns.
Speaker 6 (38:59):
So those are some of your fantasy hits of the day, gain.
Speaker 2 (39:02):
Well getting the workload when Jalen Warren went down with
his injury, so that left the Steelers shorthanded, and that
was after Aaron Rodgers had to deal with his left
wrist injury, so the Steelers doing it with replacements. And
then Jalen Ramsey got kicked out of the game because
he threw a punch at Jamar Chase. And now Ramsey's
claiming that Chase spit.
Speaker 6 (39:23):
On him, and he absolutely did. He did, really, Yeah,
there's a video of it.
Speaker 2 (39:27):
It's very dramatic.
Speaker 6 (39:28):
Mont I mean he did. And Jamaar Chase's defense.
Speaker 7 (39:32):
If I was playing for the Bengals, I'd want to
be suspended to oh.
Speaker 3 (39:38):
So still was like I'm coming back to this right
all right? So the Steelers one with saying Falco White
quarterback and at the end of the.
Speaker 2 (39:43):
End, I already seen the movie and I know what
you're talking about. The replacements. Mason Rudolph came in and
was able to write this ship.
Speaker 6 (39:51):
Never seen it. He's told me about He's told me
about it. I've never seen the movie.
Speaker 2 (39:54):
I've never seen it.
Speaker 6 (39:55):
Oh, but you told me about what it was about.
Speaker 2 (39:57):
I've never could about the strike. Correct, Yes, I do
know about that. I do know about that, all right?
Hit her up at Manci Belanios find carry at Carrie
twenty five Roads. You can find me at Dan Byer
on Fox. Chris Purfetts getting ready for a Lions game
tonight as they take on the Egos. Something that you
and I will break down later on the ego side
(40:19):
of things. Big thanks to Shaye Mognguard, our executive producer,
who will not be with us next week because he'll
be in Vegas watching the Browns taking on the Raiders.
Speaker 3 (40:28):
Shay, Yeah, Shay's in that behind the glass, just cheesing
right now.
Speaker 2 (40:33):
They're up at the half. See if they can pull
it out. Say let's get this one right here and
then make it to next time. Yeah, come head into
Vegas streaking, winning streak. That's what I'm talking about, a
winning streak. Put everything on Brown Man, He's carry Oads.
I'm Dan Bayer, Marnax, Don Fox. All right, we got
four great games in this window. And if you don't
(40:53):
believe me, Chiefs and Broncos, I mean, heck, Jim Nansen,
Tony Romar there tied up at the half, opportunity to
take the lead. Is they got the football back. I
don't know if they've dominated this game statistically, but they've
been ahead in this game statistically against the Rams, but
they trail and the most important stat of all the
score Browns and Ravens. Bringing us some excitement and welcome
(41:16):
back Brock party is the Niners are in Arizona having
some fun on the Sunday Cavino and Rich here on
Fox Sports Radio weekdays five Eastern. Two Pacific guys are
at the game. Their group of buddies. They go to
an NFL game a year, and this year they chose
to go to a Glendale, Arizona. Rich is a huge
forty nine Ers fan, so that fit well and even
(41:38):
better that Brock Purty's back and that they've got a
fifteen point lead. As you heard Monci say.
Speaker 3 (41:42):
Yeah, No, Seattle has controlled the control with this game.
They controlled the time of possession, they control to the yardage,
but the one thing they the two things that they
haven't done well in this game, and this is the
reason why they're behind. They haven't converted into red zone
with touchdowns, they have to kick field goals and obviously
to turn over battle right now. So if they can
control those things and steady that up, I mean, they're
(42:04):
looking good right now.
Speaker 2 (42:05):
I have harped on the Sam Darnold turnovers, but I
think the Rams can kind of say themselves where they
had a turnover on after Seattle had their own turnover.
The Seahawks run their own version of a tush push,
but they use Aj Barner their tight end, and right
now they're in a third and one situation at their
forty one yard line, and they did not get it
(42:28):
and didn't go anywhere in that scenario. So now it'll
be a fourth and one for the Seahawks in that
fourteen to twelve ball game. This Kansas City Chiefs Denver
Bronco game, we knew was gonna be a close affair.
I thought maybe we'd get a little bit more offense Denver.
Obviously you don't have JK. Dobbins anymore, likely lost for
(42:50):
the season because of that foot injury, but placed on
injured reserve over the weekend. We knew that was probably
going to happen, but you're down a weapon there. And
I mentioned their game against the Raiders that they had
a little over a week ago. I get it's division football.
That was a game that they were able to squeak
out ten to seven and three of those points were
(43:11):
courtesy of a punt block in that scenario. So the
offense hasn't been clicking. I thought the Chiefs would be
able to take advantage. They have not been able to do. So.
You love Denver's defense in this spot as well. Patrick
Mahomes seventeen to twenty four for one hundred and twenty
five yards in the ground game for Kansas City, it's
basically Kareem Hunt for thirty nine yards so far.
Speaker 3 (43:32):
Yeah, And I think that's the issue with the Chiefs, right,
even though they got all their weapons back on the outside,
they don't have a running back that can call its
fear for the defense. So Patrick Mahomes th do the
ball twenty four times, but he's not throwing the ball
down the field. It's more of a ball control type
of approach. And then the way that Denver gets off
to the quarterback, you don't have a lot of time
anyway to go downfield. So yeah, I mean this game
(43:54):
is right kind of where I thought it would be.
I mean, like you said, maybe a few more points
here and there. But Denver's been a slow starting offense
as well, being minus JK. Dobbins which is a big
part of their offense. I really feel bad for JK.
Dobbins man. He's such a good player when he's healthy,
but he's just hurt too.
Speaker 2 (44:11):
Much and hurt all the time. Off the top of
the show, we had talked about the Seahawks and the
Rams and the ramifications, but we think it's not a guarantee.
But when you look at the odds, there's a really
good chance both the Rams and the Seahawks will make
the playoffs. That's not the case for this game here
between the Broncos and the Chiefs. Denver's eight and two. Yeah,
(44:33):
very good opportunity. Even if they lose today to the Chiefs,
the NFL dot Com playoff picture has them getting into
the playoffs eighty two percent. That would be their percentage
the Chiefs if they lose this game, it's a fifty
to fifty proposition. Oh yeah, and you have the Jacksonville
Jaguars getting a big win against the Chargers today. Oh oh,
(44:55):
we got brand news right now, We've got some breaking
news to do us. Oh, I was gonna say, let's
get the sounder. Do we got the sounder? Mary?
Speaker 3 (45:03):
We got breaking news, Mary, I think, Hey, I.
Speaker 1 (45:07):
Know I'm breaking news from Fox Sports.
Speaker 2 (45:10):
Go ahead, carry road speaking.
Speaker 3 (45:11):
We got a Sedure Sender sighting in the second half
with the Browns game.
Speaker 2 (45:15):
But the crowd's going crazy.
Speaker 3 (45:16):
We've got seeing the twelve jerseys in the stand, so
I guess we want to see what the Sadur Senders
era has has to offer.
Speaker 2 (45:22):
That's that's pretty crazy. That's it's insane. Dylan Gabriel started
the game with seven of ten for sixty eight yards.
Quinn Shawn Judkins a loving carries thirty nine yards, not
able to do a lot offensively, and Shador completes his
first pass.
Speaker 8 (45:38):
All right, congratulations, Wow, Okay.
Speaker 11 (45:43):
There they got the signs and I guess Dylan Gabriel
is being evaluated for hitting head into head injury. Okay,
that's the sound pissed if they decided to put Shador
in right now?
Speaker 2 (45:54):
Really, I got them all the other times Are you
kidding me?
Speaker 11 (45:57):
This has the most pressure, Like out of all all
the other times you put him against a division rival
when you're up, that'd be insane.
Speaker 2 (46:04):
You could be you could be at Sudor Sanders' next
first career start next week, Shaye, That's right, I could be,
which would be crazy. That'd be I have did I
get a jersey? Might have to I'll say this, he
completed his first pass, yes, and that would be. I
don't know what shape I'd be in. I don't know
(46:27):
if I would one hop it to the receiver or
if it would go eighteen feet above his head, but
that would be the case. And now we've got a
score in Denver. I think Jday Baron, Oh it's going
to be taken back would have been an I in
return for a score, but it is going to wipe
(46:49):
it off the board because of an illegal contact penalty.
And he's definitely yes. Five yards down field, yes, And
so Denver would have taken twelve to six lead on
the turnover, but they are unable to uh to get
away from the flags, and now Kansas City will take
(47:09):
over first and ten. So now shador On a second
and fifteen passed to David and Joku gets him into
a third down situation. The thing that we're seeing, at
least in the first couple of throws is Kevin Stefanski
is trusting him to throw the football. Yeah, excuse me,
(47:30):
the Browns are trusting him to throw the football, and
now you have a scenario or third down situation. Shadors
looked comfortable in his first couple of throws.
Speaker 3 (47:39):
Yeah, I mean, you come out, you give him an
easy complete into the outside, get his confidence going, another
easy completing across the middle. See if he can get
something going here. He got a little pressure on this time.
They had to sack him on this play. But yeah,
I mean that first two completions look completely normal and
look like he knew what he was doing and control
of the offense.
Speaker 2 (47:58):
So we'll see me. I'm moving forward though, And the
reason I changed it up from Kevin Stefanski to the
Browns is because the play calling duties have shifted to
offensive coordinator Tommy Reese. So the Ravens get the sack
of Shador. He actually lost the football in Cleveland was
able to recover it. That's the scenario that you worry
about the most. In that case is him turning the
(48:21):
football over, but so the Browns will have to punt
it back. And by all accounts, Shaye, if you can
keep us up today of what's happening with Dylan Gabriel
in anything in that scenario, I mean, this may be
Shador's game to finish that we've got here in Cleveland.
So the Ravens will get good field position, a okay
field position about their own thirty three yard line, while
(48:44):
the Chiefs and Travis Kelcey now moving down the field
in Denver territory, getting a first down forty nine ers
kicking a field goal. They're up twenty eight to ten
now on the Cardinals. In the third quarter, Rams got
the football back. It's fourteen to twelve. They're on top
of the Seahawks a minute forty nine. Manzi was cheering,
Is that an nbah here? Is that what we've got?
(49:04):
And now she's sad. Yeah, I'm sorry. We are in
such NFL mode.
Speaker 6 (49:09):
I hear you so much.
Speaker 2 (49:10):
It's cheering. I'm looking at what exactly in the game
are you cheering? And I see a Burger King commercial
on one TV. I see the Browns punting on another,
and so I'm guessing the Celtics one.
Speaker 7 (49:23):
Yeah, James Harden had a chance to tie the game
with the three. It was a beautiful play and he
just slightly missed it.
Speaker 2 (49:29):
All right back to football. Here the Rams third and
ten at their own twenty three yard line, and now
they're going to need to take a time out. This
is so, this is the Rams calling a timeout yep,
with a minute forty nine left in the third quarter,
when they had used all three of their timeouts in
the first half. Mike McDonald must have Sean McVay in
(49:51):
the Rams so confused that they've used four timeouts in
the first three quarters of this ballgame.
Speaker 3 (49:57):
That's a possibility, Dan, But also with veteran quarterbacks like
a Matthew Stafford Aaron Rodgers, they love to get you
to the last second to show your hand on what
you're doing. And so those guys, sometimes being too smart
for the moments for their own good, put some behind.
Speaker 2 (50:13):
A ball as well.
Speaker 3 (50:14):
But you might be right, you might be onto something
with the two going back and forth the play call.
Speaker 2 (50:19):
Wouldn't that lend it to the job that Mike McDonald
is doing at least perplexing or Stafford and the Rams
are trying to figure out. Absolutely. Yes, I know. Aaron
Rodgers was a master at that, waiting for the last
second and at times would get nailed for delay of
gate game penalties. The Chiefs got the football, they had
(50:40):
a penalty otherwise kream Hunt had it inside the five
yard line. So now it's first and fifteen at the
twenty two yard line in that six to six ball game.
Again early in the third quarter, no touchdown so far,
all field goals and now there's a false start on
the Rams. So after the timeout goes from third to
ten to third and fifteen.
Speaker 3 (50:59):
Yeah, the Rams are, you know, leaving some players out
there as well. I mean, you had a big drop
on the last possession, had a ton over before that,
and now you're getting false star penalties on third and ten.
It's putting yourself behind the eight ball for sure. I'll
tell you what I feel really bad. I feel really
bad for one person, and that person is brock Party.
Because he's back today, he's fourteen to nineteen, two touchdown passes,
(51:24):
one hundred and sixty six yards. But because the Niners
are cruising against the Cardinals and we've got this AFC
West matchup, this NFC West matchup, and now Showeth Sanders
is into the game for the Cleveland Browns. We've kind
of just moved off of the forty nine Ers and Cardinals,
and San Francisco has been in control from the get go.
That had a ninety eight yard kick return to start
the game. Christian McCaffrey first played from scrimmage gets into
(51:46):
the end zone. So it's been the Niners day so far,
even with the Cardinals wearing their black uniforms and the
black helmets. Yeah, but that's also kind of got lost
in the shuffle and all of the action that's going on. Yeah,
that game is you know, the widest mar and obviously
by far, and I think we all probably would have
said coming into this game that San Francisco needed to
(52:07):
handle business than they would and right now they are,
you know, the games of competitive compelling and yeah, I know,
I'm watch Patrick Mahomes. Watch Patrick Mahomes. Oh my good,
Patrick Mahomes was just picked off and there's laundry on
the field.
Speaker 2 (52:24):
Oh is he going all the way? He does not?
Taekwon Thornton is able to track him down and strip him,
but the Chiefs may have just squandered a scoring opportunity
we will have to see who the penalty is against. Again,
this is the same possession that Denver thought they had
to pick six on, yeah, and scored that was taken
(52:46):
off the board because of the illegal contact penalty. Now,
Patrick Mahomes may have just given one back to Denver
with a significant run back to go along with it.
So the referees are discussing the penalty here. But Mahomes
was scrambling out to his right and basically underthrow the
(53:06):
intended receiver. I'm not sure the receiver was Taekwon Thornton
is the one who came from behind to make the tackle.
I don't know if he was the one that was intended.
But it was a severely underthrown football by Patrick Mahomes
in that situation. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (53:20):
No, the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes Again, what you just said, Dan,
This game has been a field goal game, and you
know the Chiefs want to score a touchdown, so Patrick
Mahomes breaks out rows to the right trying to make
something happen, and yeah, terrible. It was a terrible, terribly
underthrown ball by him. And who's the guy that picked
it off the for the Bronx. I am still waiting
(53:41):
on the name.
Speaker 2 (53:42):
Yes, the I'm curious to see on where the flag is.
First of all, Jakwan McMillan had the interception, So the
penalty is against Denver, a personal foul penalty and then
there's an unsportsman like conduct penalty. Those what I dad ball,
(54:07):
Those penalties I think came after the fact. Yeah, so
that is that is where we are. So Denver will
keep the football. You know what I think happens in
this situation. You're Patrick Mahomes. Two weeks ago, you had
a loss to the to the Buffalo Bills. You had
(54:29):
to buy you come in. You have this huge, huge game,
which we talked about the playoff stakes. The Chiefs don't
win this. It's a fifty to fifty proposition if they
get into the postseason. Yeah, and you haven't scored a
touchdown exactly right, isn't that it? Like you don't want
to settle for three? Yes, and so you try to
make something happen on third and fourteen when if you
kick the field goal, you're up.
Speaker 3 (54:48):
Nine to six, pressing trying to score touchdowns. Dan field goals.
Field goals might just win this game. Like, you know,
there's some games where You're like, we got to score
points to keep up with this same that is the
case with this Denver Broncos team, even though there are
I think a lot of people think of Sean Payton,
they think of points.
Speaker 2 (55:05):
This isn't that type of team yet.
Speaker 3 (55:06):
So if you stay competitive, stay ahead of the chains,
stay ahead of the score, go up nine to six.
Defens is playing well, take your chances there. Don't force
the ball. That was a bad decision by Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker 2 (55:18):
He's carry roads. I'm Dan Byers. So the Rams punting
it back to the Seahawks. Seahawks getting at first and
ten at about the thirty five yard line of their
own thirty five yard line. Rams up fourteen to twelve.
The Ravens are in Cleveland territory again. Shard Or Sanders
is in the game for Dylan Gabriel, who is being
evaluated for a concussion. Ravens right now is second and
(55:41):
three at the Cleveland thirty three yard line, six thirty
to go in the third quarter. Browns up sixteen to
ten in that one, we told you. The Niners continue
to lead the Cardinals twenty eight to ten. Arizona does
have the football in forty nine Ers territory. But Jacoby
Brissette is just picked off. So a rough day for
the Cardinals gets even rougher. And yes, six six between
the Chiefs and Broncos in the Mile High City, He's
(56:03):
carry Rhodes. I'm dan Byer. What DoD the Minnesota Vikings
do with JJ McCarthy? Is he the magician at the
end or is there more work to do? We'll talk
about that and so much more with our NFL insider
Adam Kaplan. That's next here on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (56:19):
Bears and Vikings and ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker 9 (56:23):
Shadoor Sanders is at quarterback, and listen to the crowd.
Buckle up, everybody, the offensive line calling for quiet here
as this crowd welcome Shadoor Sanders to the field for
the very first time in.
Speaker 2 (56:41):
His rookie season. People racing back to their seats. Here
we go.
Speaker 9 (56:46):
Brown's will open from the twenty five out of the
shotgun Quinn shot is the back three to the right,
fan in motions into a wing right, Sanders waiting for
it his first NFL snack, roll out to the right
out of play face ro right cut by Tilman at
the twenty nine and run out of bounds by wicked
(57:06):
crowd reacting like he just threw the ball ninety five
yards to Cedric Hillman going absolutely bonkers.
Speaker 4 (57:14):
Back to Dan Bier and Carrie Rose.
Speaker 2 (57:16):
Oh my goodness, Brown's Radio Network. It was Ravens Browns.
That was the debut of Shador Sanders. Now the most
recent past that sharedor through he probably would want back.
It was picked off by Baltimore. However, the Browns have
just returned the favor by picking off Lamar Jackson as
Baltimore had it at the Cleveland sixteen yard line. Of
(57:39):
all that was deflected up in the air. Oh my goodness.
And was that Schwssinger with the interception? U huh, So
that's what happens in Cleveland, My goodness. A lot going on, Dan,
A lot going on Fox Sports end Zone Radio. Broncos
(58:00):
are in the end zone. Julia McLaughlin taking that Patrick
Mahomes interception. Broncos march down the field, McLaughlin into the
end zone. Four a touchdown again no JK. Dobbins likely
for the rest of the season for the Broncos. So
they've taken a thirteen to six lead on Kansas City.
Sam Donald is throwing interception number three on the day.
(58:22):
The Rams turn it into some points. Kobe Parkinson the
four yard touchdown reception from Matthew Stafford extra point is good.
So it's twenty one to twelve and the forty nine
ers just trying to get out of Arizona healthy. Up
thirty five to ten late in the third quarter. Yeah,
a lot going.
Speaker 3 (58:39):
On, the Chiefs trying to make big plays, turning the
ball over. Denver takes advantage of it and scores in
the Ram game. The same thing turnover, Rams go down,
take advantage of it in the Ravens Browns game, saying,
so door turnover, Lamar comes right back turnover, and now let's.
Speaker 2 (58:56):
See if Cleveland can take advantage. Adam Kaplan's our NFL
in Sadary joins us now on the inside the Birds podcast,
I said to carry during the break, Schador just needs
to get them three points. Let the defense do the rest.
They've held Baltimore to ten so far. You get them three,
you make it a two score game. Is that too
much to ask for the rookie quarterback? Guys could be
(59:16):
with you. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 12 (59:17):
Look, by the way, and not only that game Dan
in Cleveland, but so many games today, very very windy.
The wind is kind of taken over. I've actually been
to a game in Cleveland when the win was brutal.
So it looks like it's been an awful game in
terms of offense. But defensively, give Jim Schwartz's defense credit. Dan,
they're bringing it today and they do. They keep the
(59:40):
team in the game most games, but the offense has been.
Speaker 2 (59:42):
The problem, but somehow they're winning. I've been to a
game in Cleveland where the bronze were brutal, but that's
been since nineteen eighty nine. Yeah, there's not much. A
lot of quarterbacks, yeah, a lot, a lot of quarterbacks. Sorry,
I just had to get that one liner and carry.
No no, no, no no.
Speaker 3 (59:56):
I mean we talked about that game being the bat
one that swit's over to this Ramsey call game. I
think a lot of us were anticipating his game. It
seems that in these type of games for Sam Donald
in his past, the Sam Donald that showed up today
gets the one that shows up. He's had three turnovers
so far and the.
Speaker 2 (01:00:13):
Rams' right Kerry Dan was worried about that going into
this game.
Speaker 3 (01:00:18):
So yeah, let's talk about that team let's talk about
that game, Adam.
Speaker 12 (01:00:21):
Yeah, and carry that's disappointing the way he's played the
last two weeks. Too many turnover, too many interceptions is
really it. And you put your team in harm's way.
And then they had the Kenneth Walker touchdown call back
that was huge on a hold that definitely counts. That's
that that was bad. And by the way, the penalty
if the way that it's called. You can grab, but
(01:00:43):
you can't hook. There's a certain way that you can
do it without getting called. But the offensive lineman hooked
and he got called for it to shame. But game's
not over yet, but you know, it's been a it's
been a yet another odd day. The Buffalo Bucks game
Bucks know that they had several chances to win that game.
That's that's a tough deal there. They're really beat up.
(01:01:03):
But I give them, you know, give them credit for
competing that game. They had to lead a bunch of times,
couldn't hold it. And then the Bills kind of right themselves.
Their passing game has been kind of up and down
the season, But I give Josh Allen credit.
Speaker 2 (01:01:14):
See here's a way, guys. You mentioned the.
Speaker 12 (01:01:16):
Interceptions, right, Yep, Josh Allen turning it over one really
bad one, but brought the team back. He put the
team back on his back, and he did a phenomenal
job carry.
Speaker 2 (01:01:27):
I give him credit.
Speaker 12 (01:01:28):
There was some Look, there were some crazy plays in
that game, but it was certainly the most exciting to day.
Speaker 2 (01:01:32):
Yeah, the Bills and Buccaneers, even in a chili day.
When you talk about weathering there, yes there was. There
was no weather in Minnesota. There was outside Bears come
back get a last second victory. I know JJ McCarthy
has the comeback to put the Vikings ahead late, but
he wasn't good again for the first three quarters. I
(01:01:55):
understand that Minnesota is in the spot he's their guy
the rest of the season, But how concerning is it
for you that it's another three quarters of bad football
from the Vikings quarterback.
Speaker 12 (01:02:06):
Look, it's a guy that didn't play last year, that
had major knee surgery and this and it ways his
rookie season. He only played one preseason game against the
Raiders two summers ago. So he looks like a guy
needs a lot of work. And know that the high
ankle sprains set him back that he had. I mean,
he's just trying to make up for lost time. And
remember he missed a portrait of the offseason rehabbing that
knee that was a repair Dan, So it's concerning. I mean,
(01:02:28):
they got an undirected free agent Hosmer who's who went
to University of Minnesota. So he's just not He's just
not the guy. So they got to get to continue
to get a good look. And now I give him credit,
you mention it. At least he brought them back. And
the kid bros Mer, excuse me, was the kid that
they really liked who made the football team. They like him.
(01:02:49):
They've taken a good look at me. He made it
as an undirector free agent, but he's not the future.
They've got to find out about McCarthy. He's got to
start the rest of the season. That they're highly unlikely
they'll be a playoff team, and that's just the way
it is. But surprised me is the Bears. I did
not see this in Ben Chance's first year. That's been
a pretty good.
Speaker 2 (01:03:06):
Story, Adam.
Speaker 3 (01:03:07):
I want to talk about this Chief Buckles game as well.
I mean, the Chiefs coming off of buye with Andy
Reid there, they've been really great. Right now, they're down
thirteen to six. It looks like Patrick Mahomes is starting
to press a little bit. Just had a big throw now,
but the down seven? What do you expect for the
rest of this game? And has this game kind of
lived up to its potential kind of status quo?
Speaker 2 (01:03:24):
Yeah, I thought it would, Curry, I thought it'd be
a low scoring game.
Speaker 12 (01:03:27):
It has been Andy Reid by the way twenty two
and four after a buy and it's just incredible, best
in NFL history. Uh yeah, I'm a Look, they are flat,
they are flat like they'll move the ball, and they
bogged down Mahomes had to pick You're they're going against
the best defense of the National Football League. Vance Joseph
just doing a phenomenal job. It is incredible that he
used to be their head coach. It's kind of just
(01:03:48):
you can't go back home in a weird way. But yeah,
this is let's put it. Let's be honest about it.
First of all, the Chiefs never should have been a
favorite today. How the hell she's my lange. They were
four point favorite on the road. Are you serious? After
what they played this season? Just I don't get it. It
doesn't mean they can't come back here, and they're.
Speaker 2 (01:04:04):
Setting yourself Andy Reid off of bye like you that
you're right, Dan, that obviously the oddsmakers saw that. Yeah,
so there's no way to lose while they are still.
Speaker 12 (01:04:13):
Depending which book you look at, three and a half
or four point favorite, but they haven't played like it
at five and four.
Speaker 2 (01:04:17):
They've just been a very disappointing team. Adam Kaplan our
Fox Sports Radio NFL insider joining us. He's carry roads.
I'm Dan Beyer. Find Adam at Kaplan NFL. Just while
we were talking, Sam Donalds on his fourth interception of
the game, and Patrick Mahomes did a big play to
Taekwon Thornton, setting Kansas City up, and now they're going
to be in a short yarded situation down to the
(01:04:39):
Denver two yard line. Shoudeur Sanders did scramble for a
first down on a third down, but on this third
and six was just sacked by the Ravens defense. So
that gets you caught up to date, all right, Kerrie,
and I touched on this a little bit earlier. Great David,
Bryce Young and the Panthers. Yes, but these Falcons, I
get you coming back from Germany, but I started to
hear some rumbling about Reee Morris's future in Atlanta. Why
(01:05:02):
can't they just why can't they develop an identity right
now at the Falcons. It's a very odd team.
Speaker 12 (01:05:08):
So Jeff Fallbrooks defense that he's running for Rhee Morris.
They've had their moments, they've for most part they've been good.
It's the offense it's really underchieved in the past game.
And Michael Pennis had a knee injury today. But Dan,
this is the way I look at these situations. When
teams underachieve, the first thing that ownership will look at.
Speaker 2 (01:05:28):
As the head coach. That's just the way it is.
Speaker 12 (01:05:30):
And they've absolutely unachieved their expectations be a playoff team,
and it's hard to believe they're going to be. They're
kind of a free fall here, a bunch of close losses.
And but Bryce Young to me, just when you think
the guy is regressing, he was phenomenal today. This is
by the way, Kerry the timing part of his game today,
(01:05:51):
which is what he was great with at Alabama, it
showed up today. I know he is a smaller guy,
smaller frame, but he was terrific today. And Ted McMillan
had his breakout game as a rookie.
Speaker 3 (01:06:01):
Yeah, no, you know, you know, I've talked about that
team a lot, and I liked I like that it
was on Bryce Young to get it done. And we've
seen we've seen them win games with the running game
and defense and you know, game plan. They come into
games really really will prepare. But this was you know,
this is a Bryce Young game. This is one of
those games that he can build on and continue to
develop and be that guy.
Speaker 2 (01:06:21):
Can can he be that guy?
Speaker 12 (01:06:22):
Adam that's carry that they're six and five? They're gonna
that that to me because you remember Dan Morgan, he
was he was the VP of player Personnel when Bryce
Young was drafted, but he didn't make the call.
Speaker 2 (01:06:35):
And they've got the fifth year option coming up.
Speaker 12 (01:06:37):
How he finishes this season a will ultimately decide whether
they use that fifth year option where he plays out
his funny year next year. That's that's one thing. But
he's just got to play well. I wouldn't worry about
the playoffs right now. I mean, they're they're they're right
on the you know, they're right around the seventh seed.
But they just have to play well and too many
ups and downs for him. But you know what's incredible
the Panthers that they swept the Falcons this year, which
(01:07:00):
one was thirty one to nothing. I just Dan, I
cannot get over the Falcons, how disappointing they are.
Speaker 2 (01:07:06):
This is one of is supposed to be. This is
supposed to be a playoff team. There's no question about it.
They are a team Adam that I told carry earlier,
I haven't figured out for a decade. Even when they
when Matt Ryan had his MVP year, I was counting
them out then and now like I want to count
him in and I've just never figured them out. Kind
of the same as a team that's not too far,
not that they're close, but in the same neighborhood Southeast
(01:07:29):
portion of the United States, Jacksonville. Is this They dominate
the Chargers today. I didn't see that coming. Yeah, I
didn't either like the Chargers to win, but maybe maybe
we should have Sunday night game against the Steelers. Big win.
Now you got to go across the country, played an
early start, but no matter what for the jack For
the Jaguars, they now got tiebreaker over the Chargers and
(01:07:51):
Chiefs if it comes to that, in the playoffs. Yeah,
I mean, I guess success so far and you're one
for Liam Cohen. Oh yeah, no, doubt so far. Think
about it.
Speaker 12 (01:08:01):
They choked last week at nineteen point lead, Yes, at Houston.
That was an awful loss. I mean, that was one
of the look we've seen. We saw the Rams choke
at Philly up nineteen, but this was almost historic the
way that.
Speaker 2 (01:08:14):
They gave up.
Speaker 12 (01:08:15):
They got outscored in the fourth quarter and they gave
up nearly thirty points in the fourth quarter to lose
that game last week. But what a great comeback to
When we're talking about rebounding, I didn't see that coming
just because the Chargers played that well.
Speaker 2 (01:08:27):
But Dan, you make a great.
Speaker 12 (01:08:29):
Point with the three time zone change, and by the
way they left LA on Friday, they didn't leave on
Saturday and it didn't help them.
Speaker 2 (01:08:37):
And by the way they go into their by, that's
not a good sign. Not catching him, Derek, who was
talking about and literally five seconds later they caught Derrick
Henry from behind that Dan, you seen him get called
a boy. Oh man, that was father time racking Derrick
Henry down. But the Ravens are going to be set
(01:08:58):
up in a goal to go situation, as Derrick Henry
just broke off a big running Cleveland. I think it's
difficult for the Chargers, you know, we think that maybe
they turned the corner. Obviously, injuries in that backfield of
hurt even commanding the doll got dinged up today. But
just yeah, just a clunker for the Chargers, who I
think we expected a lot more from considering what they
(01:09:18):
did against the Steelers on Sunday night. Yeah, they won
four out of their last five. Yeah, but this one's
a big one, final one before we let you go.
Because it does have to do with tonight report that
Jeffrey Lorie and AJ Brown had a conversation Thursday. AJ
Brown's you know, unhappiness and Lourie paraphrasing says, just don't
put it out in social media world and stuff like that,
(01:09:40):
Like is all going to be good for the Eagles
tonight when they face the line.
Speaker 12 (01:09:43):
What it was is AJ Brown agreed that he's just
going to stay off social media when talking about for
the complaining part about it, Let's put it this way,
He's not wrong with what he's particularly what he just
said after Wednesday's practice. He basically says, look, man, I'm
not sure. Me happy with all the money I'm getting.
He's and you know we were winning. That's great, But
(01:10:04):
I got to be a part of it because you know,
we all know receivers have to get the football to
feel like they're involved, and he's just not. He's gonna
he's headed for career loads and pass targets yards maybe
maybe not touchdowns, but past targeting yards. He's headed for
career lows. This is not what you want. And and
the past targets are down. This season, they're probably gonna
(01:10:26):
beat a significant fashion.
Speaker 2 (01:10:27):
Now.
Speaker 12 (01:10:28):
The thing is they're winning. But you know what's odd
is you would think with last year. Now, although aj
had a very good year, he missed four games doing
a knee injury, he was around his career mark pretty
much last year despite missing four games. But this year
it's been odd to me that they're not, Like they
got him involved early last week and then they didn't
go to him again. It's but the thing is, Dan
(01:10:49):
Barkley's not having a good season, but yet they still
don't throw the ball a lot. They're not. Last week's
game was absurd and don't give me the win was
a problem. It wasn't nick around. He never discussed it.
Speaker 2 (01:11:01):
It was just very odd.
Speaker 12 (01:11:02):
Dan the a the low pass attempts every time? How
many times did they pass have thrown the football in
the game with Jalen Hurts lest that was troubling to me.
Speaker 2 (01:11:11):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean A J. Brown is never satisfying, right.
Speaker 3 (01:11:14):
Do you want to be on the receivers are great?
I know I know, But do you want to be
on a bad team and catch a thousand balls?
Speaker 2 (01:11:19):
Will be on the team.
Speaker 12 (01:11:20):
True, But is this Harry if he didn't if he
didn't want the ball, it's I'm good with my twenty
nine to seven five a year.
Speaker 2 (01:11:26):
I just think that's it. I think that's an excuse though, Adam.
Speaker 3 (01:11:28):
I mean the fact that he said it out loud,
It is just trying to deflect a little bit.
Speaker 2 (01:11:31):
So that's what I mean. I know he's not wrong. Technically,
you don't do that right now, I know when they're winning.
But by the way, two years ago he did it.
Remember there he had one and struggled, well he did.
Two years ago he pouted at the they beat the
Giants in the playoffs and he sulked on the bench
(01:11:52):
and when they lost to the Chiefs in Super Bowl
fifty seven. You know, New York came to town to
beating the Vikings. They won. He had three catches for
like forty five yards. Want to be part of it? Yeah,
I don't want to be part you're about You're a
game away from going to the Super Bowl. What are
you complaining about? Yeah? Yeah? I just and far up.
Brown has been on my list. He has. He's made
(01:12:12):
the list, by the way, right under A J. Brown.
Sam Donald right now with that fourth Oh my goodness,
you're killing me. All right. We love talking to you.
Adam Man talked to you in week twelve.
Speaker 3 (01:12:23):
R O.
Speaker 2 (01:12:24):
All right, he's carry roads. I'm dan byer Monci Belanos
held up four earlier, not because it was the fourth quarter,
because it was Sam Donald's fourth interception. I was wondering
what she was throwing up. I thought she's throwing up
a different finger to it.
Speaker 6 (01:12:40):
I just it was in case you missed it. I
was just trying to keep you in.
Speaker 7 (01:12:44):
The loop while you guys were talking to Adam, and
I'm going to keep you in the loop as to
what's been going on here. The Chiefs got in the
end zone thanks to Kareem Hunt, so they tied the
game against the Broncos.
Speaker 6 (01:12:54):
But there's about thirty seconds to go in the third quarter.
Speaker 7 (01:12:56):
Broncos currently have the ball at Kansas City's thirty two
yard line.
Speaker 6 (01:13:00):
The Browns are still.
Speaker 7 (01:13:01):
Leading the Ravens sixteen to ten early in the fourth quarter.
But Derreck Henry just had a fifty nine yard run
and got the Ravens into the red zone. So they
are just starting the fourth quarter here, and yeah, sha
Door Sanders is in the game for the Browns because
Dylan Gabriel is out with a concussion.
Speaker 6 (01:13:17):
Forty nine. Ers are leading the Cardinals thirty five to ten.
Speaker 7 (01:13:20):
Arizona looked like they were going to score and Elijah
Higgins fumbled right before getting into the end zone. San
Francisco recovered the ball. They're up thirty five to ten
early in the fourth quarter. And yeah, Sam Darnold has
strown four interceptions and the Seahawks are losing to the
Rams at so far twenty one to twelve. It's still
early in the fourth quarter. Some of the games that
(01:13:41):
happened earlier today, like the Panthers, who took down the
Falcons in Atlanta thirty to twenty seven. In overtime Steelers
over the Bengals thirty four to twelve. The Bills now
improved to seven and three. They took down the Buccaneers
forty four to thirty two. Bears and Texans both won
their games on a field goal. Bears took down the
Vikings nineteen to seventeen, and the Texans defeated the Titans
(01:14:01):
sixteen to thirteen. When it comes to the college Football poll,
do you.
Speaker 6 (01:14:05):
Want to tell you where Louisville is?
Speaker 2 (01:14:07):
I don't, OK, because they're not.
Speaker 6 (01:14:09):
They're there for a while here for a while.
Speaker 2 (01:14:12):
Those receiving votes.
Speaker 7 (01:14:13):
Yeah, Georgia moved up one spot, but it's you know,
Ohio State, Indiana, Texas, A and M.
Speaker 6 (01:14:19):
Georgia and Ole miss are your top five.
Speaker 7 (01:14:21):
The biggest drop was Texas that dropped down seven spots
to number seventeen after their loss yesterday.
Speaker 2 (01:14:28):
They shouldn't be ranked either.
Speaker 6 (01:14:29):
I was surprised to see that. I was surprised to
see that. But they're they're seventeen. They're the biggest drop
back to you guys, Thank.
Speaker 2 (01:14:35):
You very much. SANSI. She's gonna have some fantasy numbers
for us as well. So the Ravens end up in
their situation with the Browns kicking a field goal. So
now it's a sixteen to thirteen ball game, and the
Browns defense has done a really good job in keeping
Lamar Jackson in check. Yes, not that they would go
(01:14:57):
forward on a fourth and goal from the five, but
they are on six points. It is in the fourth quarter. Yeah,
knowing that should or Sanders And honestly, if Dylan Gabriel
was the quarterback, it would have been the same thing.
You kick the field goal. I think that if you
had a different quarterback over there, a more experienced quarterback,
maybe you're Baltimore, you think about going for it in
that situation. Yeah, but because they know that Cleveland's really
(01:15:20):
not going to be able to move the football, kick
the field goal, take the points, which would you love?
And now it's a thirteen to sixteen ball game with
fourteen minutes left to go.
Speaker 3 (01:15:27):
Yeah, they shouldn't be in that situation that the whole man,
Derek Henry doesn't get caught. But like you said, by
the time catches up to you a little bit. I mean,
I've never seen that happen. So we only give the
credit to the to the Browns defense for playing like
the fact that the guy went after him to try
to make the gain saving touchdown.
Speaker 2 (01:15:43):
He did force them to three.
Speaker 3 (01:15:44):
Now, this in the lead, I don't know if you
said he's gone or they're not going to catch him exactly, but.
Speaker 2 (01:15:48):
It was they're not going to catch him, and then
he was immediately tackled at the eight yard. Oh my goodness, Hey,
it happens to the best of them. He's carried Rownes.
I'm dan Byer. Times winding down in in La between
the Seahawks and Rams. Tight one between the Chiefs and
Broncos is they're tied up at thirteen a piece entering
the fourth. And we told you the Browns of that
three point lead on the Ravens forty nine ers up
twenty five on the Cardinals early in the fourth, He's
(01:16:10):
carry Roads. I'm dan Byer, look at fantasy numbers. Next
here on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 4 (01:16:14):
Seahawks and Rams, Matthew Stafford has a snap, fakes, boots
through to the right flack.
Speaker 9 (01:16:19):
Top By Parkinson at the five nicks a Seahawks.
Speaker 10 (01:16:22):
Miss against his subteen Holby Parkinson puts it in the paint. Touchdown.
Matthew Stafford touchdown. Colby Parkinson touchdown.
Speaker 4 (01:16:35):
LA back to Dan Byer and carry Rhodes.
Speaker 2 (01:16:41):
Rams Radio Network with the call and put LA up
twenty one to twelve. There's now two twenty three left
in their game against the Seahawks in Los Angeles, and
the Seahawks just got into the end zone Kenneth Walker
a touchdown run from a yard out. The tough part
for Seattle is that their first round pick left card
(01:17:01):
Gray Zabel was slow to get up, so he's being
tended to. It's a twenty one eighteen game and the
Seahawks have to make a decision here. They will likely
kick the extra point. Yeah, but Zabel went down holding
his knee hidden from behind. That would be a crushing
loss for the Seahawks as they've just gotten within three
(01:17:22):
and still have a point after attempt. Here's what else
is going on. Denver settles for a field goal, so
it's sixteen to thirteen, as they were able to get
down to the Kansas City twenty yard line, but that's
as far as they got. Twelve to fifty to go.
Broncos on top of the Chiefs, The Ravens trail the
Browns sixteen to thirteen. A punt that Cleveland could have
(01:17:42):
had the Ravens inside their own one yard line. Yep,
Browns player goes down and touches it and his foot
was on the end zone, so it's a touchback. So
Lamar Jackson and the Ravens will take over at the
twenty first and ten down three in that contest. In
the forty nine ers again up on the Cardinals thirty
five to sixteen, now eight twenty four left to go
in the fourth. Let's jump to the news desk. Monzi's
(01:18:03):
got to look at some fantasy numbers. And by Monzi,
I mean Monci Bolangos. That's where you can find her
on X Moncey take it.
Speaker 7 (01:18:14):
Away, all right, guys, So we did some hits earlier,
let's do some missus.
Speaker 6 (01:18:18):
We'll start with the quarterbacks.
Speaker 7 (01:18:19):
If you played Caleb Williams, it wasn't a hot day
for him, nine points for the day. He was sixteen
of thirty two for one hundred and ninety three yards.
That's all he did. Not as bad though as my
guy Justin Herbert was a rough one rough one no no, yeah, yeah,
yeah yeah, just bad and three points on the day.
Speaker 6 (01:18:42):
He was ten of eighteen for eighty one yards. That
is it. So not so hot there.
Speaker 7 (01:18:47):
A couple of wide receivers also had a rough outing,
like Latimerconkie because Justin Herber was rough. Latimerconkie four points,
three catches for thirteen yards, that's it. Both Jamar Chase
and Roman Dunza six points on the day. It was
a rough day for them. They Jamar Chase three catches
thirty yards. O Donz two catches forty one yards.
Speaker 6 (01:19:08):
That was it.
Speaker 7 (01:19:09):
Running backs, now, Josh Jacobs was not a hot running
back for the day, but he did get hurt. But
he ended with just four points. He had seven carries
for forty yards and then he left the game. And
then Woody Marks.
Speaker 6 (01:19:18):
Also did not have a hot game today.
Speaker 7 (01:19:20):
Five points, eighteen carries for forty four yards.
Speaker 6 (01:19:24):
Eighteen carries off the Mark.
Speaker 2 (01:19:26):
But nice, nice, It was not the Woody show.
Speaker 6 (01:19:29):
It was not the Woody Show.
Speaker 2 (01:19:31):
No, but the Texan's gonna win.
Speaker 6 (01:19:33):
They do get a win. They do get a win.
So at least there's Zapp And those are some of
the fantasy misses of the day.
Speaker 3 (01:19:39):
I don't want to give a Texans credit for coming
back and winning that game. They had most of the
week with the head coach Demico Ryans, his best one
of his best friends in one of my teammates from
high school passed away, so he went down to do
the eulogy and also like mid mid midweek and go
back and coach the team.
Speaker 13 (01:19:55):
It's pretty crazy, that's yeah. Geez, yeah, you've had a
tough cup, that's for sure. So sorry to hear that.
But the Texans get that win against Tennessee, Tennessee showing
a little life.
Speaker 2 (01:20:09):
I know that there's you have an interimed coach in
that scenario, but you hope to show some improvement. And
they played the Texans. I mean they were skunked by
him when they played earlier this year in Houston. I
know there's no CJ. Stroud today, but they had a performance.
What the a performance to be proud of, even though
you didn't get the win. What's happening in the Cleveland
(01:20:30):
game with the Ravens is they are reviewing on whether
the ball was actually down at the one and the
player touched the end zone. So the Ravens still may
get we'll get the football, we just don't know where yet.
Seahawks did kick the extra point. They're down two to
the Rams. They have all three timeouts to seventeen though,
left to go in that one. And we told you
the Broncos up on the chief sixteen to thirteen, Chiefs
facing a third to nine at their own thirty eight,
(01:20:52):
and the Niners up on the Cardinals thirty five to sixteen.
What does Krie Rhodes think about aj Brown? Talk about
that more next right, bringing you down the home stretch.
If the Seahawks are gonna try to steal a win
in LA, they're gonna have to do it from their
own half yard line. The Rams have pinned them. Have
you ever seen a coffin corner like that? No, that's ridiculous. Inches.
(01:21:15):
I was gonna say millimeters from the pylon. So the
Seahawks they just need a field goal, but they're gonna
be in the shadow of their own goalposts. While Lamar
and the Ravens down three against the Browns likely to
settle for a field goal. So here we go, Shador Sanders,
it is there for you. Yeah, in for Dylan Gabriel
(01:21:39):
who's been ruled out with a concussion. Not only that,
welcome back Travis Kelce. He gets into the end zone. Huh.
So the Chiefs have a four point lead on the Broncos,
and again the Cardinals and forty nine ers into contest
in Arizona, San Francisco up forty one to sixteen. As
Monty told you, I just three minutes twenty seconds, So
we're gonna focus on what's happening in Cleveland, in LA
(01:22:02):
and in Kansas City.
Speaker 3 (01:22:03):
Yeah, it's really hard to kick in Cleveland as well.
That win swirl, so it looks like an easy kick, but.
Speaker 2 (01:22:12):
It doesn't like it was swirling at the moment. So
ty game in.
Speaker 3 (01:22:14):
Baltimore sixteen sixteen, and yeah, the Rams and the Seahawks.
Right now, Sam Donald has a big third down and six.
They don't need a touchdown Dan, All they need is
the field goal though, so he doesn't have to go
ninety nine.
Speaker 2 (01:22:26):
Just got to get a field goal range. Yeah, we've
seen long field goals in this stadium before, but they're
gonna have to get every single yard again. Sam Donald
is taking a snap in his own end zone. When
we mean half yard line, that's where the football was
at the start. Now it's third and six. They were
able to get a pass out to give some breathing room,
but Donald's in the shotgun on a third and six
(01:22:47):
and it's four down territory here for the Seahawks with
a minute ten to go. They do have another they
do have a timeout, so they can use that at
some point, but just trying to figure out a way
to get into field goal range. The Chief's up nineteen
to sixteen in that contest against Denver's Travis Kelcey was
able to get into the end zone and Tyler loopsfield
(01:23:08):
goal was good from forty four yards up. So should
Or Sanders now will quick stop in Cleveland, Kerry, Yeah,
four point fifty nine left to go. It's been a
tough go since he took over for Dylan Gabriel. But
I don't we can't put any blame on Shoudor for
the situation that he was put in in this contest, right,
and so no matter what the numbers are, no matter
(01:23:30):
what happens in these final five minutes, I'm gonna take
away nothing negative from should Or Sanders in his performance
today in Cleveland.
Speaker 3 (01:23:37):
No kudos to you, Dan, because I'm sure social media
won't be as kind.
Speaker 12 (01:23:41):
Fair.
Speaker 3 (01:23:42):
No, that goes fair, Yeah, you know how that goes so,
but yeah, I mean you're put into a situation coming
in after halftime so at least he didn't know he's
going to probably be the guy going out, comes out,
makes a couple of completions to start, But yeah, he's
been on the durest I mean, Baltimore has been pressuring him,
not getting them really any chance to sit back and
get comfortable after those first two. And so right now
(01:24:03):
it's sixteen to sixteen, he has a chance to do something.
Four minutes and fifty seconds, see if he can get
them down and.
Speaker 2 (01:24:09):
Move the ball a little bit. It has been a
rough go two of six for twelve yards the interception,
does have two carries for eleven yards. But this is
the point when we were talking about he just needs
to get them three points. Yeah, just coming too the game.
Figure out a way to get them three points. So
the Browns have to figure out a way whether they
were going to generate that with their the defense and
getting a turnover where they could make a kick. But
(01:24:31):
it's sixteen sixteen dolls. Baltimore is all three of their
time out. So if the Brons don't get a first
down here, they are sitting in a really good spot
to maybe go to Cleveland and get a victory. I
was going to say steal a victory. But in that scenario,
the carries seeing Carrie has from seeing certain injuries in
(01:24:54):
the NFL, and the player is walking off in his
own power. How I'm not sure. Here's what's happening in
LA with the Seahawks. So it's seventeen seconds left and
Darnald has just hit Jackson Smith and Jigbuff for a
first down. Seattle still has their time out, which is
huge getting them up to the thirty eight yard line.
(01:25:16):
You're gonna need about fifteen to twenty yards more here
in these next two or three plays, no matter how
many you get, yep. But so now Seattle again down
two in this contest, to just give Jason Myers a shot,
they're at their own thirty eight yard line. You at
least want to get to the Rams forty five yard line,
(01:25:37):
I would say in this scenario, so seventeen more yards
would probably be ideal than you would have a sixty
two or sixty.
Speaker 3 (01:25:43):
Three yard or to try to win it. And you
said it multiple times. The key for them right now
is that single time out there, having their pocket, they
can throw the ball anywhere on the field across the
middle right now, Ideally you want to get some incut
to try to get a big chunk play.
Speaker 2 (01:25:56):
Let's see if they can execute it. And I would
as you said, chunk play would be huge because you
can't dump it off across the middle for five yards.
You can't just get five or seven yards, use the timeout,
and then have twelve or eleven seconds left. That would
make it very difficult to try to do anything in
that scenario. As for what's happening with shador in, the
(01:26:16):
Browns unable to get anything going on the first two steps.
So now it's third and ten, four forty five left
to go in the fourth quarter, bo Nicks called for
intentional grounding and with the Chiefs up three, Denvers just
punted it back to Kansas City with eight minutes to go.
So Donald and the Seahawks again with the one time
out on a first and ten at trying to look
for some chunk yardage's and Donald ends up scrambling and
(01:26:40):
takes a bunch of time. They didn't use the timeout,
but it's an incomplete pass looking for Cooper Cup ended
up seven seconds ticked off the clock. Jackson Smith and
jigbo Is looking for a penalty in that scenario, here's
another I mean if in Jackson Smith and Jigmo was
being held on that play, Darnald was not rolling out
(01:27:04):
towards the side of the field that Jasn was on.
So maybe that's why it's not being called in that scenario. Probably,
But you got to call it if you see it,
I just hope, even if he's rolling the other way.
Speaker 3 (01:27:14):
And yes, you should if you got if you see
the flag, if you see the penalty, call the pilony.
But I mean watching you know the Seahawks, there may
be the penalty right there, Dan call it.
Speaker 2 (01:27:26):
And now there is with five seconds left, This would
get to the Seahawks if it's a pass interference penalty
up to the forty eight yard line. If it's a
legal contact different scenario or holding, you can get ten
here and and Jackson Smith and Jigba was grabbed on
the shoulder pads prior to the players fighting for the football.
Speaker 3 (01:27:48):
This is a big call. If it's holding or passing appearance,
it's a big difference. So and so there is a
flag on the field. But here's the other deal. There's
five second outside and that's what I'm That's what I mean,
because that would be a fifteen Tuck.
Speaker 2 (01:28:00):
It's not playing you know what I mean? Here, here's
here's the deal. What you could if if Seattle gets
the ball at the forty eight yard line, you could
just take Sam Donald and quick get three more yards.
Speaker 3 (01:28:10):
And call time out, and you can you can also
declare down, Dan, So did you tell the official that
that can be exactly?
Speaker 2 (01:28:16):
So they're actually at the forty nine yard line. I
would just run Donald up the middle and try to
get three or four yards closer and then use your
time out. You better throw it, Sam Donald, and he does,
and now they call timeout with one second left. They
get it to the sheet Shaki at the forty three
yard line. Sam Donald pump faked a couple of times.
(01:28:36):
Whoa So now Jason Myers will come on for a
sixty one yard field goal that would win this game
for Seattle.
Speaker 1 (01:28:44):
Man.
Speaker 2 (01:28:44):
Where the where's the home field advantage? Run the last
second of the clock. I think half the fans are
Seahawk fans at the game, and what we heard earlier today,
that's right. But the Shahid just sitting down and getting
the call yep, and wasn't even touched. No Claire probably Dan,
like when the game block Yep, he was down one
(01:29:05):
second and then but not the call of timeout. But
to your point, you can just be down, you can
get Claire. Yeah. So it's going to be a sixty
one yard field goal attempt for Jason Myers, which would
match his career long. The Rams have one time out.
As for what's happening with the Browns and Ravens. The
Ravens now the football near midfield after the Browns punt,
(01:29:29):
so Lamar Jackson and crew now in Cleveland territory in
that tie ball game, as Derrick Henry was tackled down
at the forty six yard line. The Rams just used
their final timeout. So the next snap is going to
be the contest. And this is this is big. This
is a division game. The Seahawks have already lost to
(01:29:50):
the forty nine Ers this year. They don't play them
again until the end of the season. There's another matchup
these teams have in Seattle in a few weeks. But
when you're talking about the hierarchy in the NFC West,
to getting that road victory would be really really huge
for Seattle and Jason Myers gotta be straight, but you
got to make sure it'shigh enough. So it's not blocked
(01:30:12):
by a RAMS player in this scenario. Here we go,
So here it is, and it's going to be off
the mark. Yeah wow. And it wasn't long enough.
Speaker 3 (01:30:22):
Either, Yeah, wide and sure, But I mean again, you
don't want these moral victories. I mean, Seattle came in
to win this game, but so much you can watch
and learn from this tape for Seattle. Number one, obviously,
not turn the ball over four times.
Speaker 2 (01:30:39):
That would help.
Speaker 3 (01:30:39):
Yeah, but I mean again, you lost about two points
on the road against a really I mean, in my opinion,
one of the best teams in football, and you lose
by two before turnovers.
Speaker 2 (01:30:49):
So you know it's tough, but they'll be they'll be okay.
Then there's there's also something to the fact of the
Rams just being able to make plays, and they didn't
make a lot of them today carry but they made
the most important ones. And it goes even down to
and I'll say this, if that punt doesn't get to
the half yard line, if it's anywhere closer in that scenario,
(01:31:13):
then you are one of play. I'm sorry, that's okay,
I'll just finish right sentence. We'll get to it here.
You can explain what just happened in Cleveland. If that
punt is at the two yard line and it plays
out like it did, maybe Jason Myer's kick is good
in that scenario. So give credit where credit is. The
(01:31:33):
Rams are the ones who picked off Sam Darnold four
times today and made the plays and it's why they
were eight and two in Seattle, seven and three. And
what got you so excited with the Baltimore Ravens against
the Cleveland What a gutsy, gutsy, gutsy like creative.
Speaker 3 (01:31:46):
Call by Baltimore. I mean they do that a lot.
The test Puss with Mark Andrews instead of Lamar. They
put him on the center. They actually did a reverse pivot.
Everybody's diving inside to stop the test Puss, and he rolls.
He rolls around now like a quarterback, student student body,
the whole school army play and scores a touchdown to
put Baltimore about seven.
Speaker 2 (01:32:06):
But very creative. So the Browns, Now, you may call
it a Mark Andrews touchdown for the Ravens to take
the lead. I call it another opportunity for shad Or
Sanders to stake his claim. Yeah, that's that's true too.
Or earlier in this earlier in the year. It was
(01:32:27):
during the preseason. I didn't love what Shador was doing
during the preseason game, and something we've talked about. Moncie
and I talked about and honestly, we got a lot
of flak for the comments that were made on social media,
which is nothing new. But I don't think that we're
not ruining against should or Sanders. I want to see
(01:32:49):
Shud or Sanders succeed in this situation. Ravens fans may
hate us for that, but that would be a heck
of a story if Shador was able to do something here.
I think it's unlikely from what we've seen in the
quarter of play from Shador, which again isn't his fault.
You have limited in shape. The executive president a Browns
(01:33:12):
fan who may see Shor get his first start next
week against the Raiders. Yeah, God, I won't be here.
You'll be there, hopefully you'll make it to the game
against the against the Raiders. But we'll see, we'll see
what happens. We'll get to the final two thirty they
got two thirty one, they have two timeouts, and how
it plays out. Shay, You're all right, Yeah, that was
(01:33:36):
it was a creative play carry. Yeah, it was a
great Mark Andrews. Dude, I benched him too, And who
would have thought rushing yards or Mark Andrews one carry
thirty five yards and that touchdown.
Speaker 3 (01:33:48):
In all series is man, you're you're right? I mean,
you got two minutes and what is it? Two minutes
and forty left. Get a chance to see a two
minute drive to Shador in this situation. We haven't seen
much from him down the stretch here. Obviously there has
had the Ravens have had his number. But yeah, anything
can happen, and so let's see what he can pull
off here in these last two minutes.
Speaker 2 (01:34:06):
Here's the other reality of this. Just get twenty five yards.
Just get twenty five yards in this scenario, by the way,
the Ravens kicked it out of the end zone. So
the Browns started at their own thirty five and you
have a football to throw up at the end right there.
It is, that's what you need there, and Chadors just
hit Harold fannin junior for a big gain into Baltimore territory.
(01:34:31):
So it'll be first inten at the forty yard line.
There you go there. Now you've at least giving yourself
a chance barring a turnover. In this situation, Socia Door
has done what he's needed to do.
Speaker 3 (01:34:40):
And the thing about it right here, Dan and the
reason why he was able to complete a pass he
had time right he's in the passing situation. Baltimore has
been super aggressive this whole time. That time they sit
back in zone and he picks it apart.
Speaker 2 (01:34:52):
Here's another thing that could happen as they hit the
two minute warning is the Ravens and Browns now maybe
in some scramble mode things are sped up a little bit.
Maybe the Browns aren't huddling. Maybe that allows Chador to
not think, to not overthink, to not have the time
to try to figure out everything, and maybe just play
(01:35:12):
a little. I don't know, We'll we'll find out in
these next two minutes, but I think that maybe this
situation specifically here could be something that may be a
little bit more beneficial because prior to that he only
had twelve yards passing.
Speaker 3 (01:35:24):
Yeah, he get to go into a no huddle up
tempo situation, which makes Baltimore have to show their hand
a little bit quicker. They can't disguise as much. Got
to get back and stop, you know, anything from getting
over the top. And so he finally saw covers that
he recognized, knew what the hole was in the defense,
and made not great throw. All right, so we're gonna
take a time out. Chiefs up on the Broncos nineteen
to sixteen. There's six minutes to go on that one,
(01:35:46):
Denver down three as the football at midfield and that
matchup of AFC West foes and the NFC West showdown.
The Rams top the Seahawks twenty one to nineteen today
and the forty nine Ers ended up dismantling the Cardinals
and Brock parties were turned forty one to twenty two.
Speaker 2 (01:36:01):
He's carry Roads. I'm Dan Bayer. The conclusions of these
two games next here on end Zone Radio on Fox
Sports Radio. End Zone Radio, Fox Sports Radio. We are
wasting no time. He's carry Roads. I'm Dan Byer. Fourth
and five for the Browns, say've taken a timeout, and
then the Ravens called time out. Baltimore up twenty three
to sixteen. Should our Sanders is in the game as JILLN.
(01:36:23):
Gabriel was knocked out because of a concussion. Fourth and
five from the Ravens twenty five Here you do have
a timeout time as an of the essence, he got
to get the five yards carry.
Speaker 3 (01:36:33):
You had the Ravens here. They Cleveland call it time
out to gather themselves. Baltimore called a timeout. We called
it a Kodak time out to see what they're going
to come out and then the possible before Mason. So
here we go fourth and five. Should the has done
a good job of getting them down the field here
that say, if he can make another play.
Speaker 2 (01:36:48):
There was a play earlier where we thought he had
a touchdown but just missed his target. And we'll see
if he's able to elude pressure again and make a
play in Cleveland. And he is able to elude the pressure.
But ultimately I hear the disappointment in your voice knocked
down and the bronze will turn it over on downs
and that will likely do it as Cleveland can stop
(01:37:11):
the clock just once fifty seven seconds left to go,
and the Ravens can just run out the clock.
Speaker 3 (01:37:16):
Man, that was a great That was a great two
minute drive by Shador though he came out with the
first play, got a drive, a good drive starter across
the middle.
Speaker 2 (01:37:23):
The defense was set and he.
Speaker 3 (01:37:25):
Was able to recognize what they're in, made a talk
play across the middle, and then, like we talked about
Dan off Air, I wonder why Baltimore just sat back
and played zone and that and that first play after that,
as you see, they came after and put some pressure
on them.
Speaker 2 (01:37:39):
He is carry roads. I'm Dan Beyer. The other game
that is still going on is the Chiefs and Broncos
tied up at nineteen. We told you the Chiefs were
forced to punt, and now Denver's got the football, second
down and five still in their own territory at the
thirty one yard line. Both teams have all three of
(01:38:00):
their timeouts.
Speaker 3 (01:38:01):
Yeah, this game is I think what we all kind
of figured as well. It is going to be a
tough game, tough division game.
Speaker 2 (01:38:07):
You know, Denver is at the top right.
Speaker 3 (01:38:10):
Now at eight and two, when you know the chief
needed this game, so they came out fighting, you know,
coming in and making the type of game we thought
it would be a lot's going game. They put up
some points more here in the second half. They both
team scored a touchdown or two. But yeah, nineteen nineteen,
Denver has two minutes to go down and try to
win the game.
Speaker 2 (01:38:26):
At home. This is such a big game for specifically
if Denver wins, because then it puts the Chiefs three
games back in the lost column. And with the remaining schedules,
Colts come to Kansas City next week. They're off of
a bye, so that will be that will be something
for Kansas City to handle. So if you're Denver and
(01:38:49):
you can get this win, this would go a really,
really long way in trying to take away the stranglehold
that the Chiefs have had atop the division. It also
is I'm curious if Denver ends up pulling out this
game here, Carrie. These are the games of the Chiefs
win a lot. I don't always win these games, but
(01:39:10):
they win a lot of these games. And the thing
that I look at Denver this year and how they
won last week against the Raiders, how they went against
the Giants earlier this season, seemed to play with their
food to bits against the Titans, but probably unrightly so
lost a game against the Colts in Week two, like
these games have been, they've been barn Burners Texans, the
(01:39:32):
same thing ended up going to Houston and escaping a
victory that maybe maybe Denver is the team that makes
plays and this Kansas City unit right now isn't the
Kansas City of old that we were so accustomed to.
Speaker 3 (01:39:45):
Trying to say, Dan's a changent of the guard right now,
I mean because Chiefs, like you said all, I mean,
they always won these games last year, right Yes, this
year has been a flip of the script though they
have not won these close games year. And so now
looks like Denmer has got the first down his play.
But yeah, usually they get to stop here and Mahomes
gets the ball and they go down to kick a
field goal. But right now Bronco has just completed a
(01:40:07):
big third down.
Speaker 2 (01:40:08):
And I think that's a testament to the Chiefs and
their success. It's not meant to throw shade and to
say that the Chiefs get all the calls. Yeah, yeah,
it's truly. They do make plays sometimes they get a
lot of calls. They also get some calls. But in
this scenario here, you're right, like, this isn't the same
Chiefs team, And maybe this isn't the same Broncos team
(01:40:30):
that have had in years past. Right now, Fortune's been
on the side of Denver so far this year. Would
this be Denver's biggest win of the year for you
in your mind, Yeah, like the other ones have been crazier. Yeah,
but yes, because coming off of the bye, considering what
Kansas City is all week two in what we've heard
(01:40:51):
with the parody in the NFL and who's the great team?
Adam Kaplan joins this, always talks about his circle of trust.
There is this no carry that you still have to
beat the champ. You still have to go through the
previous champ, whether that be Philadelphia for winning the Super Bowl,
or Kansas City for winning the AFC, or just Kansas
City for winning the AFC West. Yeah, I think that
(01:41:13):
there is something to that. And while it wouldn't wrap
it up again, you would give Kansas City your fifth
loss of the season, and there's Denver would be sitting
there at nine and two, three up in the lost
column as you're heading in the week twelve. That's a
pretty good spot to be in. So yeah, so it's
there's just a lot at stake, and I would give
Denver credit and what I think would be their biggest
(01:41:33):
win of the.
Speaker 3 (01:41:33):
Year, Yeah, I would say I would say it would
be as well. I mean, obviously they had some opportunistic
wins and there's going to be some of those in
the season that you can look back on and say,
maybe we shouldn't have won that one, but we pulled
it out, because they'll be there will be the flip
side of that, right, No, those are games we should
have won, and so that's you know, you got to
give them credit for that.
Speaker 2 (01:41:51):
But this would.
Speaker 3 (01:41:52):
Definitely be the the biggest, most substantial win I think
for them at this moment right now. And then also
the charges law today.
Speaker 2 (01:42:00):
Yeah, yeah, absolutely absolutely he is carry roads on dan fire.
Let's go to the news desk, Moncey milanials gonna give
us the rundown as we sit and await what transpires
here over the final couple of minutes in the Mile
High City as they hit the two minute warning, Moncie,
what's going on?
Speaker 7 (01:42:17):
I mean, these games were pretty interesting for the most part,
right all of them. I know, the forty nine Ers
Cruz passed the Cardinals forty one to twenty two. That
was the one game that didn't seem like the Cardinals
were really in it. But Jacoby Brissett an NFL record
guys forty seven completed passes.
Speaker 2 (01:42:34):
He had forty seven completed passes.
Speaker 7 (01:42:36):
He actually only missed ten. He completed forty seven of
fifty seven passes.
Speaker 2 (01:42:40):
How many yards?
Speaker 6 (01:42:41):
Four hundred and fifty two yards.
Speaker 2 (01:42:43):
Trey McBride at ten catches for one hundred and fifteen
yards in the score. Yeah, forty seven of fifty seven.
Speaker 6 (01:42:49):
Yes, that is an NFL record.
Speaker 2 (01:42:51):
My goodness.
Speaker 7 (01:42:52):
Cardinals lost, but I got to give him credit for
that because that's an impressive performance.
Speaker 2 (01:42:56):
And for those that are tuning in here, here's something
passing records aside from touchdown passes in the game, when
you're getting those sort of yards or attempt they're likely
and lossuits. Of course, it up for.
Speaker 6 (01:43:09):
Sure because throwing the ball trying to catch up.
Speaker 7 (01:43:12):
Of course, absolutely absolutely, unless you you unless you're brides
young today, right, I don't think you can forty seven,
But yes, absolutely. The Ravens with the with the fun
play where Mark Andrews faked a tush push then ran
for a thirty five yard touchdown instead his first career
rushing touchdown. He also is the Ravens all time receiving
(01:43:33):
yards leader after today.
Speaker 2 (01:43:34):
Oh wow.
Speaker 7 (01:43:35):
So he had a big game and the Ravens with
that touchdown took the lead and held on to beat
the Browns. Twenty three to sixteen, so Raven's still in
at their five and five. Browns fall to two and eight.
The Rams survived twenty one to nineteen against the Seahawks
because they could have won it with the field goal,
a sixty one yard field goal.
Speaker 6 (01:43:52):
It did not go in, So that's how the Rams
improved to eight and two.
Speaker 7 (01:43:55):
But you know Jackson Smith and Jigba is the first
player in NFL history to record seventy five or more
receiving yards in ten straight games to begin a season.
So there's that for you, Dan. Also there's that, No,
I won't mention the four interceptions, all right, Texans?
Speaker 6 (01:44:11):
What yuckle?
Speaker 7 (01:44:13):
To beat the Titans earlier today sixteen to thirteen. Also,
the Titans lost wide receiver Calvin Ridley. He broke his fibula.
He is out for the season. Bears also won it
on a field goal against the Vikings. Final score nineteen
to seventeen. Jaguars crushed the Chargers thirty five to six.
Aaron Rodgers left the game with a hand injury. He's
gonna have his wrists evaluated tomorrow. But the Steelers still
beat the Bengals thirty four to twelve. Packers topped the
(01:44:35):
Giants twenty seven to twenty. Panthers took down the Falcons
in Atlanta in overtime, final score thirty to twenty seven.
Bryce Young threw thirty one completed passes out of forty
five for four hundred and forty eight yards and three touchdowns.
Speaker 6 (01:44:49):
The Bills improved to seven and three.
Speaker 7 (01:44:51):
They took down the Buccaneers forty four to thirty two
was the final score. Josh Allen was responsible for six touchdowns.
He threw three and he rushed for three. And the
Dolphins did beat the Commanders in Madrid sixteen to thirteen
in overtime.
Speaker 6 (01:45:04):
It's been a day. It's been a day.
Speaker 2 (01:45:06):
Back to you guys, Thank you very much. Mony you
can finder at Moncey Moos, find carry at Carrie twenty
five Roads. You can find me at Dan Byer on Fox.
The question in what's going on in Denver is did
Courtland Sutton get a first down on a third down play?
He's right at the sticks, and the question is does
(01:45:28):
his knee or any part of his leg touch the
ground prior to him crossing that first down line at
the forty nine yard line. I think it's a first
down Carrie, don't you. I agree?
Speaker 3 (01:45:42):
Yeah, I look like the guy who was tackling was
that Bolton anyway? But the guy last thirty two, Yeah,
Bolton was tackling, but his hand was underneath the other
leg as well. You see that, yeah, keeping him almost
a little bit.
Speaker 2 (01:45:54):
Yeah, And the official measurement is first down by a nose.
Look at just that nose, that little yellow line. The
football is just pasted it, so the graphic that we
are fortunate enough to see in the studio if you're
driving around, just by the nose of the football. Denver
gets a first down. So there's a minute one left
(01:46:15):
in the fourth quarter, tied up at nineteen, and now
Kansas City has used their first time out.
Speaker 3 (01:46:20):
Yeah, it's I was just about to say they had
all three time out here, so they're gonna have to
start using those to preserve some time.
Speaker 2 (01:46:26):
Denver.
Speaker 3 (01:46:28):
They're not in field goal range yet, are they? No,
not at the forty nine. Yeah, so they still got
a chance to get a stop here and get the
ball back. So it's it's time. It's winning time now, Dan, listen,
it's Denver.
Speaker 2 (01:46:39):
I know it was a nice day in Denver, but
still we're not going to kick a sixty eight yard
er at night.
Speaker 3 (01:46:45):
I know one person, Dan, you know you know one,
Aubrey oh Brand, Brandon cam Little.
Speaker 2 (01:46:51):
Did it indoors the grass? Yes, but they still need
more time. I'll tell you. I'm surprised the Chiefs took
a time out because if Denver doesn't get it here,
they're gonna just punt it away and Denver could stop
Kansas City and somehow maybe get I just I would
(01:47:13):
have made Denver use their timeouts. I agree in this scenario.
I agree with you, Dan, I just settling. Settling for
a sixty one yard field goal just doesn't seem to
me to be a to be a wise thing if
you're Denver.
Speaker 3 (01:47:29):
And they called the second one too, So I mean
they're in full out save time mode to try to
go win this game. And a lot of times when
you super aggressive like this, Andy Reids an offensive guy,
he wants the ball last. He doesn't want to lose
on defense, and so that's why they're using it now.
But again Denver's being really trying to waste clock. But
they need to get some more yards or to get
this field goal attempt to try to win the game.
Speaker 2 (01:47:50):
If Denver right now is it's second down and eight
at the forty seven yard line. If they get two
yards here, let's just get it to the forty five.
You're not kicking the field. You can't Sean Payton, will
you know that?
Speaker 7 (01:48:04):
Dan?
Speaker 3 (01:48:05):
He's so it's two offensive guys going headed head right here, right,
He's going to try to get more yous get the
first down. But he's also being strategic by kannas City
called that first time out, So he's going to run
the ball again because he's now he's going to call
a timeout. So that's what they're doing. And now you
got next. He's had a big.
Speaker 2 (01:48:21):
Pass Detroy Franklin for a first down and that is
going to set Denver up inside the twenty yard line.
Yea lullim to sleep, loll on to sleep, and now
Kansas City can do nothing except hope and wish that
there's a box snap or something. Otherwise we're going to
(01:48:41):
see Will Lutz come out on the field and try
to try to seal the game for Denver again. Tied
up at nineteen a hall. It's not beating the Chiefs
that is so shocking. Again, it's beating Andy Reid off
of a bye and if anything, Carrie, that is what
may tell you that this Chief's team just isn't the same. YEA,
(01:49:02):
the numbers again, Andy Reid, who's thirteen and one as
the head coach of the Eagles coming off of a
bye in Kansas City, he's nine and three, so overall
twenty two and four in his career coming off of
a buy. And now Denver's forty five seconds as the
Chiefs used their last time out. Well wait, Denver's got
(01:49:24):
all three of their timeouts, so they can run the
clock down, use one and put their field goal unit
out there and kick the game winning field goal attempt
to kick the game winning field goal from right now
the fifteen yard line is where Troy Franklin ended up
being down. I would just Bonnicks, you just take a
knee here.
Speaker 3 (01:49:43):
Yeah it get it in center or whever you're a
kicker likes to kick the ball from. And they go
middle here and they're going to run the clock down
and attempt the game in the field goal. But yeah,
it's crazy looking at all the long faces they just
sold in the coverage of all the Chiefs looking a
little look at a little sock at the moment obviously
like you said, all the success they've had coming off
(01:50:04):
of buys, they come to Denver, I'm sure they fully
expected to win this game, and right now they're they're
looking down the barrel of another loss.
Speaker 2 (01:50:12):
Five and five. The Chiefs would fall to if they
are unable to uh to leave Denver without some sort
of miracle happening. But this gives Denver that that separation
that we talked about. You mentioned the Chargers loss today,
which is a really big deal because Denver lost to
the Chargers early are on in the season. So this
(01:50:35):
is in Denver and Kansas City. We'll get to play
again in Kansas City. But that's that's some breathing room
for a Denver team who now is battling the Colts
and the Patriots for home field advantage in the in
the AFC all three ninety two. Correct. Well, if Denver
makes yeah, they makes the guests, Yeah, and the Colts
(01:50:55):
are eight and two with the buye this week. Patriots
don't have a buye. It's a week fourteen. Yeah, so
that actually could really help them. So Will wats is
on for a thirty five yard field goal. It's been
a while since he kicked the game winner. It was
two weeks ago as time expired. Does he do it
in the Mile High City? Yes he does. Dan and
(01:51:16):
the Broncos are nine and two. Chiefs five and five
is will wats is true? Denver wins it twenty two
to nineteen, and Sean Payton has that struts's him.
Speaker 3 (01:51:28):
Yes, Yeah, he put the two hands up high. He
did some good coach running out there moving the arms.
Speaker 2 (01:51:34):
Can't wait to shake Andy Reid's hand exactly. Yep, there
you go to two long time arrivals. All right, Denver
gets the big come from behind victory. Chief said. Opportunities carry, Yeah,
they really did, even in this scenario, and an extra
point blocked, they could have gone up twenty to sixteen,
really forcing Denver's hand, and in the end, Denver's able
(01:51:54):
to survive by kicking a couple of field goals at
the end. I'm going to get Denver credit.
Speaker 12 (01:51:57):
Man.
Speaker 3 (01:51:58):
This is a huge win. Obviously the eight and two
we've talked about it before. I thought I even said
like they were the worst eight and two team ever,
something I said last week.
Speaker 2 (01:52:06):
But for them to continue to stack.
Speaker 3 (01:52:09):
Wins, it's hard to win in this league, and for
them to keep doing it and keep doing it no
matter how it looks, it counts. I mean the ninety
two and they just beat a chief team that was
favored in this game, so that's a big win.
Speaker 2 (01:52:21):
Here's I may have brought this stat up before. Denver
from November seventh to November twenty ninth only plays this
game because they played Thursday last week, so they had
a lot of a mini buy play the Chiefs today.
They have a buy in week twelve, so they don't
play next week. And then they got the Commanders coming
to town in two weeks. Woo so ten and two,
(01:52:41):
So yeah, the Commanders may just stay in Spain exactly.
Who knows he's carry Roads I'm Dan Byer a look
at the Eagles Lions game tonight and who may give
a headache to who? Plus our MVPs that's next year
on end Zone Radio.
Speaker 4 (01:52:58):
Back to Dan Bayer and Carry.
Speaker 2 (01:53:00):
Roads exhale from an exhausting week eleven Rams gonna huge
win against the Seahawks. Denver survives is Will Watts hits
the game winner with no time left. Twenty two to nineteen.
Denver TOMPs the Chiefs Niners roll past the Cardinals in
this late window, and we saw Shador Sanders for the
(01:53:21):
first time in a regular season game, replacing the injured
Dylan Gabriel. Gave it an effort, but in the end,
it's the Ravens and their trickery trickeration as we call it,
with Mark Andrews on a fourth and one that ultimately
is the difference in that game, as the Ravens win
twenty three to six. Team He's carry Roads. I'm Dan Beyer. AJ.
Brown's been the topic of conversation. They're about to play
(01:53:42):
the Lions tonight. We'll get to that in a sec.
But first carry, we got to get to Ricky Herrera's

Two games left in Week eleven, including tonight in Philadelphia
where the Lions take on the Eagles. This story of
the Week in Philadelphia once again AJ brown and it
all started via Twitch. If you got me on fantasy,
you're rid of them? Okay, all right, I've been noted noted.
(01:57:39):
I did not get rid of him. I think it's
reverse psychology. But then AJ Brownie was in the locker
room asked by reporters what that comment actually meant, because.
Speaker 14 (01:57:47):
After the game, I say all the right answers, I
still made a story, right, you know, and that in
that moment where I'm just talking to my friend having
phone with my friend, I'm not apologizing to say because
if you have eyes, you can see that.
Speaker 2 (01:58:02):
And so like, it's not that I was throwing anybody
on the bus.
Speaker 14 (01:58:05):
I'm literally trying to laugh through this, but I'm trying
to make fun of the situation and to try to
get through it.
Speaker 2 (01:58:09):
So you know, it is what it is. All right,
it is what it is. Let's let Nick Sirianni quickly
have the last word.
Speaker 5 (01:58:16):
I'm close to being done answering these questions with us,
Like he's working hard and he is a big part
of this game plan and it'll be a big part
of the game plan going forward.
Speaker 2 (01:58:28):
All right, Yeah, coach speak from the coach. You're a
former player. You hear AJ Brown say what he said?
How do you feel about that? Shut up? It's what
I feel about it.
Speaker 3 (01:58:38):
I am tired of hearing about AJ Brown's personal issues
with the offense or whatever. Obviously we've seen it, they
know it as well. So if they're not making adjustments
on it, then get asked for a trade. Say you
want to get out of there and you want to
go to a team, and you want to be the
focal point and make catches. Like, if that's what you
want to do, that, don't be the guy that you know.
(01:59:02):
The boats rowing in the direction and we're going to
We're going to the island very safely and smoothly. But
just because your ride was you're a little s sick
on your ride. Everybody else has to be sick because
of that. Like, let that go and focus on winning.
That's all, Like aj Brown, just be quiet and just
keep rowing with your teammates.
Speaker 2 (01:59:23):
How surprised are you that they do keep winning when
stuff like this is flying around, don't I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:59:30):
I mean it's a testament to Sirianni. Actually, and I
actually didn't think Sirianni had the pulse of that team.
I think it was two years ago. Last year it
seemed like he did, and right now it seems like
he does. But again, he has to be tired of
hearing about it. Like the team is winning, they're eighting
whatever their record is, eight, seven to eight and two.
Speaker 2 (01:59:46):
They're focusing too.
Speaker 3 (01:59:47):
They're focusing on a Detroit Lions team that presents problems,
and you're worried about what your deba receiver has to
say about it.
Speaker 2 (01:59:53):
Just it's enough, Enough's enough. It's just so foreign for
a team that is defending a Super Bowl, tied and
in the thick of it the next year. I could
honestly understand if they were instead of seven to two,
four and five, yes, trying to defend a Super Bowl,
even with the ring you want that passion, and if
things aren't going well or if it's I don't even
(02:00:14):
know if it's the other way around. I don't want
to say that winning cures all. But the other thing
from winning that would stick with you would be the money.
And he got paid, he got his extensions. So like
those to me, are the only two things that you
really need to worry about in this situation.
Speaker 3 (02:00:28):
Otherwise, why play the game? That's what I'm saying. We
all know you want the ball. We all know how
good you are at doing what you do. Your team
is winning, like the rest doesn't matter. I know selflessly
you want the ball, but it's being selfish.
Speaker 2 (02:00:42):
It's become so bad that we aren't even blaming Jalen Hurts, right,
because that's the easiest thing to do in the world
is to blame the quarterback. Blame Jalen Hurts. Yeah, but
we aren't doing that. And that's how I know things
are bad with aj Brown and Philidelp. It's insane. Do
you like them to win tonight? They're losing to their
alliance tonight? All right, you heard it from carry Roads.
(02:01:02):
I'm Dan Byer. We'll talk to you in week twelve.
Peace
