(00:25):

Crack Crackenburger.

Good morning to you, fellas crack Jeff. You know, let's
just dive right into it. You know, if we need
a time out, like if you're just like kind of
sick and tired of talking about a subject like Shauduur

(01:18):
Sanders for instance, maybe we just transitioned to crack going
to see ACDC last night, you know, and that'll be
kind of like a little respite or something like that.
But should Dour Sanders finally gets drafted in the fifth round,
one hundred and forty fourth overall, and it's I'll tell
you what. I'll keep it short and simple here. But

(01:38):
I thought Lewis Riddick, who was on ESPN's coverage, he
put it really well. He just said, this is not
about can you play the position? This is about do
we want you to play the position for us? And
that's what it turned out to be. Should Dour Sanders
has a first round grade and he went in the
fifth round, So, like Lewis said, this is personal and

(02:02):
that that I'm just you're a why guy, Jeff, You're
looking for what's the reason why? Yeah, And although it
doesn't make any sense to me, I think that's the
reason why should do Or went in the fifth round.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
Good morning, men. This is not Rich Hornberger, by the way,
it's Jeff Schwartz and I uh no the voice guy, utch,
I uh I did cash my one hundred to one
ticket on Sanders to knock on the second round. Unfortunately, Bill,

(02:35):
the place cracked at the place that I was able
to place, said wager limited me to one dollar. So
I made the wager, but I made one hundred dollars
on it. I just was browsing Friday morning on one
of those places because I was in a state in
New York that doesn't offer draft props, so I had
to find alternatives, which it's you know, that's sometimes with

(02:56):
the draft, that's the way it works. And just the
tea leaves were this, Okay, I want to say something quickly.
Brian pushed back on one thing you said, and then
I'll talk about Sanders. So you mentioned that he had
a first round grade. I disagree on that, and I'll
tell you. I'll tell you why. There were sort of
when you listen to draft people, there's sort of two

(03:19):
types of draft people that the do sort of mock
drafts right in big boards. There's like the forward facing
television people and then there's sort of like the Dane
Bruglers and the Nate Tice's. I'm giving some shout outs
to guys I like the sort of do it their
non TV and sort of social media and podcasting right,

(03:41):
and there was a big divide. There was a social
media people that excuse mean the TV people that were
like number five best player on the on the big board,
and then the other people Brian were like, ah, you know,
he's like fortieth thirty to forty on a big board.
And I think a lot of that was driven by
I don't want to be criticized. I know personally for
myself at times talking about Colorado. They were in the

(04:04):
PAC twelve when I covered the PAC twelve conference, like
you have to just sort of decide do I want
to take on Colorado fans on social media if I
say anything negative. I mean there was someone at ESPN
last week who just put out a video saying here's
what you has to work on, and Dion called him
a hater on social media, like like you know, there's

(04:25):
so I think more of the truth of it was
he was probably had a second round grade on for
NFL teams and the way the draft works, I was
I've not fell victim to it. I was the seventh round pick.
I wasnt supposed to be first round pick. The NFL
tells you what you're worth is, and that is everything.
It's talent, it's personality, right, it's it's it's it's distractions,

(04:49):
it's your it's your mental processing, it's your medical history.
All that matters to being drafted. And I thought that
that there was a tweet yesterday. I thought that really
summed it up well. When we got past the first round,
which is look at the National Football League quarterbacks right now,
they're almost exclusively first round picks. And then Jalen hurts, like,

(05:10):
that's sort of what it is. And second round quarterbacks
have not had a success in the last five to
seven years. Only Jalen hurts, that's it. And so once
you get past really the second round as a quarterback,
you're not being drafted to start, okay, and really to
be fair at any position like they might slot you
in in the third round to maybe started, but we
had to win that job, right, first first round pick,

(05:32):
you're starting immediately, second round pick, probably starting immediately, third
round pick, maybe not. So Now to your point about
what Lewis said, other things matter more than the film.
Once you get past that, it's do I want Sanders
to be our backup? Do I want the distractions? What
that's going to bring distractions. We know that. I think

(05:54):
that's what led to the fall all the way down.
And we could talk special about what the Browns did.
I don't know what they're doing. They look drunk, they
running back to two quarterbacks. I don't know what the
plan is there. But I think overall, in the grand
picture of what happened here, Sanders very much over valued
his hand. Guys, right, he thought that he was going

(06:15):
to be Eli Manning. I'm choosing where i want to go.
I'm gonna hold out, I'm gonna tell you not to
draft me. And he was not close to that. And
when you talk, when you listen to people that have
the inside information, it's all the same. He did do
well in the interviews, he sort of made it seem
like he was above interview when the teams he didn't
want to talk to. He was rude during these interviews.

(06:38):
He wasn't paying attention like all the and you know
there were comments made again going back to you, I'm
not playing for anyone, I'm playing for only certain teams.
I'm doing this and that he wasn't good enough in
the end to dictate those terms. And that's that's what happens.
In the NFL draft. Crack.

Speaker 4 (06:55):
Now, let me ask you a question. Yeah, Jeff, a
guy like this situationally and Brian too, what kind of
money do you think he's gonna even get?

Speaker 5 (07:06):
Like, like, did he.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
Lose forty He lost forty million dollars.

Speaker 5 (07:10):
I was gonna say one hundred million dollars contra forty.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
Okay, No, you know his rookie contract, he went a
first round pick, is you know like Cam Wore got
think forty two million dollars, forty million dollars first pick overall.
You know, if you're the so it sort of scales down.
So I think if you're you know, a fifth pick
in the draft, you make forty million. But now his
rookie contract in totality will be three million dollars and
it's not guaranteed, like so he can be released and

(07:36):
he just gets the signing bows and that's it. And
you know, I I get I hear people say this
is gonna humble him. I don't think he himself needs
to be humbled at all. Actually, yeah, I think the
people around him that I think gave him bad advice,
right how to handle this pretty draft process. Learned a

(07:59):
big lesson on how this works. And again like quickly, Brian,
before we get back to you. They also two guys.
There were like four teams that were gonna draft standers.
That was it. It wasn't a quarterback needy team draft, right.
So the Giants, Okay, they wanted Jackson Dart, who's more
athletic and can do more things in Brian Dables offense.

(08:20):
It's Pittsburgh, who I very passed them like eleven times
in this draft. They clearly just don't want Sanders the
brown so it ended up drafting him and maybe the
Saints and they took Tyler Shuck Like there was only
four teams that really we evaluate as needing quarterbacks.

Speaker 6 (08:36):
Yeah, listen, that's true.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
I just think that some of these QB needy teams,
I just don't understand what they're thinking here. I don't
like throw a couple of them out there. I know
that Aaron Glenn just got into town with the Jets,
but its quarterback is justin fields, and the Jets are
just content, like let's let's just roll with fields for now.
It's like, okay, how about the Colts, the Colts of

(09:00):
Anthony Richardson. The Colts actually drafted Riley Leonard, the Notre
Dame quarterback. Why I call it the white Anthony Richardson.
He's a guy who can run and can't throw, So
congratulations joked.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
About I think they joked about that on when they
draft him, Like this is Anthey Richardson, but white.

Speaker 6 (09:15):
That's it. That's what they have.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
So these teams that are like we were just content
not even taking a swing at the possibility that Shadur
Sanders is good in the NFL. Listen, I get some
of the skepticism just based on his play alone. Okay, fine,
but I just don't understand the venom. There's such venom

(09:37):
against Shadeur Sanders because what he dances around a little
bit and has this watch thing, and who cares?

Speaker 3 (09:45):
I think you have to. Okay, So I'm sure we've
talked about this at some point in the last couple
of years, and I've tried to explain this book. The
Obviously there's some people that race has involved. Okay, like that,
very clearly, like that. I think that's but that's not
really I think NFL circles Brian. But just like the
way people talk about Colorado, I'll tell you why it's
frustrating so you know they the first year when Colorado

(10:10):
started three to OHO, there was talk about, you know,
best team in the country. I mean there was a
tweet that was put out by I think FanDuel that
said twenty nineteen LSU twenty twenty three Colorado and we're
like what, like, what what are we doing? And the
hype was so far ahead of where Colorado was. I

(10:32):
remember they went to Oregon and got smashed and they
won one more game of the rest of the season.
That was it. There were four and eight, and it
got to a point where, like someone like myself was
covering the sport, it's like I'm I'm so over, Like
I'm not, I'm just done ton Colorado. It's like the
hype has gone too much. Anytime you push back, you're
accused of being a racist, you're accused of this, and
that you're accused of hating Dion. I thought that it

(10:54):
was gret Dean's great for my job. I get content
every day from Dean Sanders. I love it like so.
And then last season when they were actually good, I
didn't really want to talk about them, like I think.
I think the first year, Brian, there was so much
coverage that was over the top and and and undeserving

(11:15):
of what was actually happening. That last year when they're
ninety three, they had a really good year last year,
if it was reversed where the first year was sort
of like, wow, that's a fun start. They're not really
not ready for prime time yet. And then next this
last season they were actually they were nine and three,
like a legitimate team. They were had a good season.
Dean did a great job, everyone did a great job.
I think that that's why there's such a turnoff, because

(11:37):
it's not really Dione and Shudu, it's it's everyone else
talking about, uh this program. You know, Josh Paate covered
college football. Give him credit for this one. He called
it the Dion tax, where like people that don't talk
about college football are now talking about college football on
all these major platforms that don't actually follow the game
at all. And I think, Brian, that's that's why people

(12:01):
got a distaste for them. It's not like, really, Chadur,
they don't really know Shudur, what do they know about Shadur.
It's not really Dion, it's everyone else who constantly just
like hyped the program up to where it turned everyone off.

Speaker 4 (12:14):
Yeah, no, good, good points and a lot of people
have a lot of opinions of why, and I think
you just have to look at each team that needed
a quarterback maybe break it down that way. I've heard
his interview with the Giants was really bad. By the way,
they must have really I tell you they must have
really been impressed by by Jackson Dart to trade up
to grab him the Steelers.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
By the way. That that was a dumb trade.

Speaker 5 (12:38):
But yeah, yeah, we.

Speaker 3 (12:39):
Can talk about that.

Speaker 4 (12:41):
The Steelers probably just didn't think he fit with their
culture and system. Uh, they ended up with Ohio State's
Will Howard. But it also makes me think that Arod
Rodgers goes to Pittsburgh this season since they didn't go
quarterback in the first couple a rounds.

Speaker 5 (12:56):
No.

Speaker 4 (12:58):
Seattle liked the row over Sandal Silver Sanders, which wasn't
as big of a shock to me as the Saints
taking Louisville's Tyler Show.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (13:08):
This kid played for three different teams and battle injuries
his whole college career before having one breakout here with Louisville.
I guess the Saints just wanted the traditional big proto
type quarterback for their system.

Speaker 5 (13:22):
I'm not quite sure.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
He was justin Herbert's backup at Oregon's. That's how old
he is.

Speaker 4 (13:29):
Oh, speaking of Oregon. You know what's funny. We talked
about the quarterback Gabriel and I.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
Was shocked he washad of sand Yeah.

Speaker 5 (13:36):
You didn't think he maybe had these size for the NFL.
I don't think, not just you. What's he like five eleven.

Speaker 3 (13:42):
Or I don't know he's five eight and a half
five nine, he's really Yeah, I don't think he's I
think he I mean, obviously we can see what he
would measure the combine, but I I was that it
was still stunning. Even though you were Sanders did did drop,
it still was pretty starting at five to eleven. I
don't think he's actually that tall. Uh oh, pre this

(14:04):
is pre draft measurables. I wonder what he uh what
he got the combine. So I think that that sort
of sums up, Brian, where this is at with with
Sanders and look, can you have a long career? Absolutely,
But even like even the draft coverage, I think summarizes

(14:24):
the point I'm making about turning people off like you
have people on these telecasts in said just saying I
got it wrong. Here's what the NFL is saying about Sanders,
and we got plenty of those reports. They're still yelling
at the NFL for doing for making the wrong decision,
and like that is so Again, it's not that people
dis I'm not one of these people. I don't. I

(14:45):
like Deon. It's great for my job, I don't. I
I think people are more turned off by the coverage
of Dion and dur more than actually any of those
two people themselves.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
Right, well, I think a couple of things. It does
remind me of the Tebow phenomenon, right, Like what you
just explained, Jeff, is like I'm not comparing the players
and their talent or anything. I'm just explaining like the
circus around those players, because the people that were with
Tebow were with Tebow. Those those people rode hard for Tebow, right,

(15:21):
and the people that pushed back pushed back, and there
was this whole thing going back and forth with Tebow
which was just wild. And also, I'll throw somebody else
out there, Jeff, you probably agree with this.

Speaker 6 (15:34):
Caitlyn Clark. Caitlyn Clark just like basketball, and there's this
thing around her which is wild. But it reminds me
of those two things.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
She's the least she's the least controversial people person ever.

Speaker 3 (15:51):
And yeah, it's it follows her, it's it's wild. Yeah. Look,
you know, there are just a lot of people with
the same Sanders stories about behind the scenes, and again
they could all be from one source. I've never shared
this story, but we we were supposed to interview him

(16:13):
in a pack to a media day. I was doing
a national radio and he came over to sit down
with us. Was on FaceTime with someone else walking. He
sat down to do radio with us, and then we
were told we had one minute with him before he
had to go somewhere else. And that's not the way
media day works. Like the schedules, you know, it's a

(16:33):
long day. Twelve coach to meet twelve coaches of twenty
four players. You're gonna be a little off schedule. That's
just that's life of a media day. It was middle
of the day they told us he had what we
had one whole minute with him, and we were in
break by the way, and we're like we're in break.
He's like, yeah, this His handler was not the Colorado
sid it was someone extra. And then Santas just got
up and said I'm not doing this and just walked away.

(16:56):
And then I mean, one small thing. But I've been
at five of those. We've interviewed every player that was
supposed to be interviewed except one. And Travis Hunter, on
the other hand, was the best ever. We actually told
him his time was up, and he stayed for fifteen
more minutes. We're like, hey, man, like, thanks for joining us, like,

(17:18):
and no one pulled him away, like Sid wasn't with him,
so no one like pulled him away. We're like, dude,
you can go, and he's like, ah, I'll stay. I
mean we talked ball for fifteen more minutes.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
Cool.

Speaker 3 (17:28):
So like I I again, it's one tiny story. Like
it's one small thing. But that seems to be the
story we hear from a bunch of different people.

Speaker 6 (17:37):
Well, it sounds like a bad autograph story.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
Everybody's got a bad autograph, yeah, from the one guy
who blew.

Speaker 6 (17:43):
Him off right right crack.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
And I think a lot of these teams seem like
they have a bad autograph story with Shadur and they
didn't let it go. And I don't know that that's
a part of explaining how we even got here. It's
just wild for anyone who's like, it's not that big
of a surprise. If you stop and think about it,
it's like, this is the biggest surprise in NFL draft history.

(18:06):
No care rated that highly dropped that far, just like
explain this away, No man, this is the biggest surprise
ever in the.

Speaker 3 (18:14):
Draft without without like a Lyle Collin situation right right right.
There wasn't like an investigation a sexual ASSAULI allocation against
you even a guy. Obviously, the Laramie Tunsole thing I
think in twenty twenty five re viewed differently than it
was years ago. But even like that, and he dropped

(18:34):
seven spots like really like he was he didn't drop
like he dropped a thirteen.

Speaker 6 (18:39):
So that was crazy.

Speaker 3 (18:40):
Yeah, shoot we dropped and and yeah, I mean this
was yeah, and this is to me a one time thing.
It doesn't mean you have to reevaluate the way we
do every prospect. But it was the NFL saying, by
the way, when I say the NFL, I mean like
four teams, there's no clues. They don't get on a

(19:01):
zoom call and talk about not drafting Sanders like that,
like it just this is what it is, and you
know your your talent. Cannot wear your problems. Your problems
out weigh your talent. And I'm not saying these are
problems per se, but that that that that that saying
sort of is the NFL gave Deshaun Watson two in
thirty million million dollars guaranteed. They do not care. Okay,

(19:25):
We've talked about this so many times, that they do
not care about Mike Green was drafted the second round.
Go read about Mike Green like they they just if
you can play, you're gonna find a spot that they
do not care. So that, yes, that's why.

Speaker 6 (19:44):
It's so stunning, right, we're often running.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
We've got Bill Krachenberger, professional sports handicapper, Jeff Schwartz, eight
year NFL veteran, I'm Brian. No score bigger at bet MGM.
When you win with boost tokens, odds, boost tokens and more.
Even if your bet doesn't hit, we've got you covered
with no sweat tokens.

Speaker 6 (20:00):
And that's not all.

(20:52):
dollars back in bonus bets if you don't win your
first bet. All right, so we saw something for the
first time in NBA playoff history. This is never happened before.
Think how many playoff games there have been over the years.
The Nuggets won Game four yesterday on a buzzer beater
dunk by Aaron Gordon. What's up, Jeff can speak to?

(21:15):
This is a bad beat for us. We had Kawhi.
We needed two more points for Kawhi Leonard, and it
looked like there was maybe a goaltend earlier in the
game that would have gotten us there. Then he was
jacking a freeze instead of going with the mid range,
which is where he really lives at the end. And
look like we're gonna get to overtime and get our
bets to cash. But nope, Jokicic jack to shot up

(21:36):
in the final seconds. It was an airball and here
comes Aaron Gordon just parachuting in from the rafters and
he dunks it home as a buzzer beater. That's never
happened before, a buzzer beater dunk in NBA playoff history.
That was wild mad But I can't even be mad
at that, Jeff. That's like NBA playoff lore right there.
You know, if you let a betting loss get in

(21:57):
the way of you know, history like that, probably betting
too much, or if you need to take a quick
time out, you know.

Speaker 3 (22:05):
So a couple of things about that play. One that
was you'll coach had an incredible game. That was a
terrible shot, like spinning fade away from the wing. It
was shot took that shot, Like.

Speaker 6 (22:18):
It's almost like they have a coach who's never been
a head coach.

Speaker 3 (22:20):
Yahore, I was it was just like an iso, and
he was like he had zoo bots on him too.
I thought he'd go to paint. I thought he would
like do something. He just took a terrible shot. So
here's the I have so many questions about how this officiated.
So it looked like his hand might have been on
the ball when time expired, but the ball was in
the cylinder already, So like I is it is it?

(22:42):
Does your hand have to be off the ball as
time expired? But what if the ball's already in the goal.
But it matters so I and the thing I was
interesting too is that they called it no good on
the court, so you have to have video evidence. You know,
what's the word indisputable? DA was to overturn that. I'm

(23:05):
not sure that I.

Speaker 6 (23:05):
Thought they said it was good.

Speaker 3 (23:06):
Initially the scoreboard had ninety nine ninety nine, so that
might have been a scoreboard error. I don't know, but
I thought the refl like waved it off, or maybe
it was calling like time till everyone know we're gonna
review it. I don't know what but the scoreboard never
changed till the end, So I don't know if that's
the thing a cork or not. I'll tell you what, guys.
I was doing radio during the game last night. I

(23:27):
had my sports book open, ready to wager and Clippers
in overtime because Denver was exhausted. Man Jokicic played forty
three minutes. He did not take us fourth quarter break,
and I was gonna hammer Los Angeles in overtime, like
I was open. I was gonna get the best number,
like immediately, like boom, give me that number. And then

(23:49):
Jokicic hit that hit shot that shot crack. So wow,
what a what a game. That's been an incredible series, right,
We've had a two point win, a five point win,
one Clipper's blot win, two point win. I mean, Denver
was up twenty points a second half of that game.
I think it was eighty three sixty three or eighty
five sixty five, somewhere like that. And then when I thought,
when Yokis didn't take that break, that's what I thought

(24:10):
was gonna happen. They were gonna get tired, and they
got tired, and Kawhi missed those two threes.

Speaker 5 (24:15):
I don't.

Speaker 3 (24:16):
I don't know why he's taking those threes. That's not
his game. And I I just you know, NBA a
ton of fun to watch this time of here, but
the ISO stuff. Every time, you know, a team misses
these shots, it's like this ISO, he dribbled for twenty seconds,
take a bad shot instead of moving the ball around.
I mean, SGA closed the game out yesterday, not a

(24:37):
one on one. He was moving, he got a screen,
he got the ball back, and you know, the end
of these games, they're just taking take these terrible shots
because they're just one on one top of the key.
And the Clippers had that happen to them again yesterday,
even Yo, Kicch, I mean five seconds left, I get it,
he's only taking that shot. But that wasn't a great shot.

Speaker 5 (24:53):
What did you guys have? What bet did you have
that we had?

Speaker 6 (24:56):
Kid? Yeah? His point total over.

Speaker 3 (24:59):
He was at twenty he had we had twenty five
and a half and he had twenty four. Yeah, okay,
but also he just didn't shoot well early in the game,
and then he missed a bunch of threes the end
the game, which is not his game. So you know,
it is what it is.

Speaker 5 (25:11):
Yeah, yeah, this is the first.

Speaker 3 (25:13):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (25:13):
Like like Brian was saying, this is how amazing this
is like the first air ball alley. You buzzer that
maybe I can remember it since like Jim Valvano's ends
Ye State Wolfpack, be Clyde in that team, Uh, and
that that was forty years ago. Over that for eighty three. Actually, uh,
this is easily the best series of the first round.
Like you guys said that two teams both have potential

(25:35):
to win it all this year, and like you said,
for the Clippers, Kawhi, uh, he's looked one hundred percent
and looked looked like an All Star, and James Harden
has has transformed from a me first guy early in
his career to a really great all round team player.
Denver as the most dominant player of course in the
league with Jokich and even Murray looked like back to

(25:59):
one hundred percent. I said it last week. The series
looks destined to those seven games easily the most competitive
matchup that we got in this first round in the
NBA playoffs. I didn't even know you guys had that bet,
so you start looking. You know, it's funny when we
lose a bet, you start looking. It's just a natural
tendency of the human condition. We start looking how do

(26:22):
we lose this and how many opportunities do we have
to make this bet? Even back in the first quarter,
like you said, so.

Speaker 5 (26:31):
Painful?

Speaker 4 (26:32):
Did you guys? You said, Jeff, you were doing radio,
But did you watch it and was it in the
background the whole time?

Speaker 3 (26:38):
Oh? Yeah, No, I did show essentially that, like we
were watching sports and talking about them at the same time.
I had hockey on a basketball last night. I did
fine on the day. I've been doing okay at NBA
the first quarter, you know, idea, this playoff well for me.
A lot of these games, so or back today with
a couple of wagers, So I do fine. Otherwise, the

(27:02):
the Avalanche winning last night was a good night for
me too, So that was that was good. So no,
I've been doing find an NBA otherwise. There's some ones
I like today and the uh Brian I've been texting
every day. The zig zag theory man man, where you
basically just you find someone who stinks and bet him
to score a lot of points the next game works.

Speaker 7 (27:20):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (27:20):
There's one spot today I've already taken, which I really like.
I got burned. So I text Brian this the other
day about KCP for the magic. He had three points,
one for nine shooting and he had zero points in
game that didn't work in game three, didn't work in
game three. But Christoph Porzingis today is already on my
list for a bounce back game in game four.

Speaker 5 (27:43):
Very nice.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
You know who's on my list? Isaac Lowland. Crown hits
any list that I have. You know what I mean
when I'm talking about and there's no zigzags that you
know play with I loo He brings it every single time.

Speaker 6 (27:55):
He's got the latest for us. What's going on?

Speaker 8 (27:57):
I low Good morning, fellas. We will start with the
NBA Playoffs. In Game three on Saturday night that saw
the Golden State Warriors defeat the Houston Rockets on to
four to ninety three to take a two games to
one lead. Steph Curry thirty six points, seven rebounds, and
nine assists in Game four of the Stanley Cup Playoffs
on Saturday night.

Speaker 6 (28:17):
Little accountability in here, boys, It's got some accountability going
here now.

Speaker 8 (28:20):
The Colorado Avalanche defei of the Dallas Stars five to
nothing to tie that series at two games apiece. The
Ottawa Senators stayed alive with a four to three overtime
victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs. Sought a goal by
Jake Sanderson. Here's how it sounded on radio station c
FGO Sanderson the South Scors. Sanderson with the goal from

(28:41):
the points Ottawa Lins.

Speaker 6 (28:43):
On another day, Jacob Sanderson.

Speaker 7 (28:48):
Rister on the feat from Tyler Clevin.

Speaker 6 (28:52):
Holy oh molly, holy oh moly.

Speaker 8 (28:56):
Indeed very nice. Toronto still leads that series three games
to one. Now, finally get this. In Major League Baseball,
on Saturday night, au Hanio Suarez of the Arizona Diamondbacks
hit four home runs against the Atlanta Braves, but the
Braves won the game in ten innings, eight to seven.
Suarez the nineteenth player in major league history it had

(29:17):
four home runs in a game, but only the second
to do it in a game that his team wound
up losing.

Speaker 6 (29:24):
The first. Remember Bob Horner, Guys, Bob Warner.

Speaker 8 (29:28):
Yeah, he had four home runs in a game for
the Atlanta Braves in nineteen eighty six at Old Fulton
County Stadium, but it came in a loss to the
Montreal Expos. Desperately disappointing Pete Van Wieren. Back to you guys,
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (29:43):

you guys ever smell old milk? You know you ever
take a I.

Speaker 3 (30:07):
Have kids that Sometimes the milk aspires and over.

Speaker 2 (30:11):
There you go, oh god, you give it the sniff test,
and every now and then there's a quick like whoa,
that's as bad, like pour it right down the draink.
I feel like that with betting lines every now and then.
And the stinky line alert was in last night's game yea, yeah,
it was Warriors minus three and a half. Because think

(30:32):
about this, the Rockets had just crushed Golden State in
game two, crushed them. And then the most important part,
Jimmy Butler, who got hurt in game two. We didn't
know what his status was going to be in game three?
Was he going to play? Was it going to be
as effective as he normally is was he gonna play
at all? Yeah, and he ended up not playing at all,

(30:52):
and yet Golden State was still favored by three and
a half. That was a stinky line. And again, sometimes
it just seems too good to be true. It seemed
way too good to be true to bet the Rockets
plus three and a half.

Speaker 6 (31:04):
And that's the way it played out.

Speaker 4 (31:06):
Man.

Speaker 2 (31:06):
It's like sometimes you got to look at a line
and be like that just stinks to the high heavens,
and I'm betting on the stink, you know what I mean, Like,
you can't go against it, you got to go with it.

Speaker 6 (31:17):
And that was a great example of it. Last night.

Speaker 3 (31:20):
I grabbed Golden State live as they started starting to
make their comeback. I had Steph Curry over points and
to you two points for the first eighteen minutes of
the game. Then what he end up with Brian over
over thirty.

Speaker 6 (31:31):
Right around thirty five or I think.

Speaker 3 (31:34):
We're watching that game and you think to yourself, like
who do I trust the end to end the game?
Do I trust Steph Curry or I trust the Rockets? Whatever?
I mean, Van Fleet was their best scorer. I think
last night, right like, I trust Steph Curry and the
Rockets just have trouble scoring the ball, and they're on
the road. It's their first time with this group altogether,

(31:56):
and they just couldn't make that came was a street fight,
a brawl. I mean, no one made shots for many
minutes at a time. So I was with you on
Golden State. I don't like when Butler's out because then
Draymond shoots a bunch of threes that he has no
business shooting. That was the only frustrating part to watch
about that game. Was just like the grenades he kept

(32:17):
throwing at the rim. But made sense to take the
Warriors here Steph craid thirty six last night, by the way,
I mean, look that the lead scorer for the the
Rockets was seventeen points Van Fleet. I mean Shanngoon had fifteen.
I mean they just don't have I think enough guys.
It's not like the Rockets, I mean the Warriors. I mean,
you know, he had a a couple big shots there
down the end, But the more experienced team won this game,

(32:40):
and I think Game four probably goes to the Rockets.
I think we'll find out.

Speaker 4 (32:45):
Yeah, yeah, the Warriors are going to need a healthy
Butler to make a deep run in these playoffs for sure,
But as we saw yesterday, they don't need him to
beat the most. You know, they don't really need him.
I guess I would say, you know all the time,
but I'll tell you I didn't get to watch the game,

(33:06):
but just looking at some highlights and some clips. You know,
there's a couple teams in the NBA that I'll root
for all the time, believe it or not. And I
like Butler. I like watching this stuff. I like watching
what he does, and he's one of those guys. I
think this series just really comes down to the veteran

(33:27):
experience to Warriors have it, and the Rockets kind of don't.

Speaker 5 (33:32):
Really.

Speaker 4 (33:33):
On paper, these teams are pretty even, but Houston is
just really young and experienced in these playoff situations.

Speaker 5 (33:39):
That showed yesterday.

Speaker 4 (33:41):
They kind of just fell apart in the fourth quarter
from what I seen here after winning most of the game.
But you know, I kind of like what they've built
in Houston. I just think there are a year or
two probably from making a deep run. The Warriors, on
the other hand, experience and built to win now, and
Curry and Draymond and Butler all literally all three in

(34:01):
the tent lends of the careers but Butler one hundred.
With Butler, they really do have a legitimate shot to win.
Like I said, I like watching them. I like watching
the teams. But did you guys say the the seventeen
was the highest scores.

Speaker 5 (34:16):
That you said seventh for the Houston Rockets for Houston.

Speaker 3 (34:19):
Yeah, yeah, Curry had thirty seven and I think Healed
had seventeen, and like that was about the right years.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
It was a random mixture. Gary Payton chimed in with sixteen,
but he had a.

Speaker 3 (34:32):
Lot at the end in the fourth quarter three.

Speaker 6 (34:35):
Yeah, did you get there with Pajemski?

Speaker 3 (34:37):
I did? That was so upsetting? No, No, I didn't, No,
no he did. He had the first five points of
the game. He didn't score again to the fourth quarter.

Speaker 6 (34:46):
So what was it like around eleven and.

Speaker 3 (34:48):
It was thirteen and a half with ten I think, right.

Speaker 6 (34:51):
Quick, quick, five and then absent until the.

Speaker 3 (34:54):
First first five points of the game. Yeah, and then
did not score again until late in the fourth quart
end up with ten point points. He's one for six
from three. I mean you know that that sort of uh,
you know that sort of that sort of hurts you there.
So I mean that was you know again that was
you know, you lose some of his exact stuff. It's
zero points a game two. He was hurt, he was
on the flu. So you know, you look at doing

(35:17):
that here. But there's a there's a big there's a
big zigzag I'm doing.

Speaker 6 (35:21):
It might be part of the flatter here.

Speaker 3 (35:23):
For parlay platter. It's coming. I'm I think you know
where I'm going. Brian, It's not the Lakers.

Speaker 2 (35:28):

Speaker 6 (35:33):

Okay, we have one selection for you. We pool it

Speaker 6 (37:03):
Crack. We start with you, man, what's something you like?

Speaker 4 (37:06):
Okay, early game here the Yankee game over on bett MGM.

Speaker 5 (37:10):
You just click on the game.

Speaker 4 (37:12):
You click on totals and you can have an option
to go over or under some different totals in the
game rather than the regular totals. So we're gonna go
on that alternate line.

Speaker 5 (37:22):
We're gonna go over in.

Speaker 4 (37:23):
The Yankee game over eight minus thirty Yanks. First game
starts early ten thirty five am here on the West Coast.

Speaker 3 (37:30):
There we go, all right, okay, I like that. I'm
I'm gonna try try to tell you. And now we're
to hear a track. All right, So I think Brian
knows whe I'm going here with this one. We talked
the looks of all this last night. The Celtics are
going to win by a lot of points. Today I
think they break that tell you a lot of points.

(37:53):
They played horrific the other day, still shot better than
Magic the Magic One, scoring ninety five points in twenty
twenty five. I don't know if jew Holiday is playing
or not. I don't I haven't seen this is to
put but I po Tatum will be back one more game.
Like you know, he'll be more than sort with this
game four. But how about this? Last year in round

(38:14):
one they lost to Miami, won by I think I
have the thirty in the next game. Lastyear lost to Cleveland,
and the conference semifinals won by thirteen to the next
game in the finals, they lost Game four and then
they won Game five by thirty points. Like this is
what they do. I expect them to better offensively. The

(38:36):
twenty one turnovers. I don't want by twenty one turnovers
in Orlando today. It's gonna be Boston mina six and
a half. I mean they cover this number again at doun.

Speaker 2 (38:45):
Bryand Okay, yeah, I'm on the similar lines here.

Speaker 6 (38:49):
I'm going with the team total. Now, this is not
a zig.

Speaker 2 (38:52):
Zag play, which I love in the NBA postseason.

Speaker 6 (38:56):
Uh, this is more of a spot play.

Speaker 2 (38:58):
I've got Orlando's team total under ninety five and a half,
right reasons?

Speaker 6 (39:06):
Yeah, yeah, It's.

Speaker 2 (39:08):
Like, this is Boston coming off of a loss, and
Orlando's offense outside of Banco, who's been tremendous and Franz Wagner,
who's quietly putting up numbers he's scoring, nobody is to
be trusted other than those two guys. Their role players
are not to be trusted at all. And now you
have Boston coming off of a close loss. I think

(39:31):
they are fully committed defensively in this one. And that's
what happens with Boston. Man, that happened last postseason. They
just get caught playing with their food a little bit,
and then they get that jolt of ho, he just
lost the game and they are locked in. So a
struggling Orlando offense against the Boston team that just lost
a game. Yeah, I will fade Orlando all day. Give

(39:53):
me under ninety five and a half their team total.
So if you pull all these three things together along
with Jeffy, he's got Boston minus six and a half.

Speaker 6 (40:01):
Crack. If you go with this Blue.

Speaker 2 (40:03):
Jays Yankees game over eight runs an adjusted line that'll
get you plus three point fifty one.

Speaker 6 (40:12):
Yeah, so we get you know, three to one odds.
Not bad, not a bad payday.

Speaker 3 (40:15):
I already have the team total under for the matchic too,
so same same thought here. They've only scored twenty five
points and five and twelve quarters.

Speaker 5 (40:22):
In this series.

Speaker 2 (40:24):
Wow, five of twelve twenty five is just baseline. You
know you're on pace for one hundred?

Speaker 5 (40:30):
Yes? Wow?

Speaker 6 (40:31):
Goodness?

Speaker 5 (40:32):
All right?

Speaker 2 (40:32):
Coming up next? Thumbs up or thumbs down? NFL Draft Style?
Are you a fan or not a fan of these things?

Speaker 5 (40:42):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (40:42):
What's going on? Happy Sunday?

Speaker 2 (40:44):
To you, man, Jeff is out for one week and
the voiceover guy just replaced him, you know, just moving
on life life. No Jeff is here, Jeff is here,
Rich is not here, Rich was filling in last week.

Speaker 6 (40:57):
Crack is here. I am here.

Speaker 2 (41:00):
Sim We're fired up to go, man. We'll get the
thumbs up thumbs down in a second. Be sure to
check out Fox Sports Radio's YouTube channel. Just search Fox
Sports Radio on YouTube and you'll see a whole bunch
of video highlights from our shows. Be sure to subscribe
to you always have instant access to our Fox Sports
Radio videos on YouTube. Okay, so simple theme. Thumbs upper,
thumbs down. Are you a fan of these NFL draft moves,

(41:22):
these NFL draft picks? Or you go thumbs down? Roman
Emperor style like, no, don't like it whatsoever. Okay, so
we'll start with you, Jeff thumbs upper, thumbs down. Jacksonville
takes a big swing. They trade a lot of draft
compensation to move up and get Travis Hunter. He's mostly
gonna be a wide receiver and he's gonna moonlight at

(41:44):
cornerback the whole thing. Do you like what Jacksonville is
doing here? Thumbs upper, thumbs down.

Speaker 3 (41:49):
Ooh, I would probably lean towards thumbs true, boy, because
I mean, if he ends up being really good with
a dummy, I just I don't think trading a first
round pick next year is the way to go in
this In this draft, I think Travis Hunter is going
to be a wonderful pro. I also pushed back on

(42:11):
the idea that, uh, this is a draft pick that
essentially is two players in one. He's not playing two positions,
so he's gonna end up playing one in the NFL.
So I uh, I would probably lean thumbs down.

Speaker 4 (42:30):
What do you think, crack Well, I may have to
take the other role here, just based on that. It's
it's like really teeter tottering there. You know, I heard
some good reasoning on Friday as to why you know
it would have been a thumbs down, and I liked it.
But then I thought about it too when I seen
it in the in the show, you know, the upcoming

(42:53):
show questions here, and you know, I kind of like
this move by Jacksonville a little bit. Bringing the Heisman
winner at the town get the excitement back just just
you know, you got to remember, just like three years ago,
this team almost beat the Chiefs in the playoffs, and
they literally felt like, you know, they had a team
that was going to be competitive for the next decade.

(43:14):
Let me just tell you something, So did I I
thought Jacksonville was going straight up, I really did after
seeing them get to the playoffs and last year's just embarrassment.
So they needed something to jump start the franchise. But yeah,
maybe I'll give them a little thumbs up, a little
positive for them. And you know, I'll always say this

(43:36):
about a lot of different bets throughout the year that
I'm not on, but I'm really, you know, kind of
neutral too. Or even if I don't like it, I'll
say it. I'll say it to the Jaguars. Yeah, I'm
rooting for him.

Speaker 2 (43:50):
Yeah, you know, I'm with you, crack on this. I'll
go slightly thumbs up. Where for a couple of reasons. One, listen,
it's a lot to give up. To Jeff's point, where
the Browns they get from Jacksonville, they got their second
and fourth round picks this year, and they get Jacksonville's
first round pick next year. So think about what type

(44:11):
of season Jacksonville might have record wise, where they might
be in the draft, and they don't have that pick.
So that's an expensive price tag for Travis Hunter. But
I just look at Travis Hunter. I won't go quite
can't miss, but he's as close to not gonna miss
as you can get. He's incredibly talented, and for this
franchise in particular, where they just had a revolving door,

(44:34):
it's like sixteen of the last seventeen drafts they've picked
in the top ten, you know what I mean, Like
you have to find franchise players like pillar core players
to build upon, and Travis Hunter looks like that. So
to your point, Jeff, although it's an extremely expensive price
tag and he's not two players in one, he's not
gonna play both ways like the normal amount of plays

(44:58):
of reps there. I think he's supremely talented, blue chip
or expensive, but I think well worth the price tag, right.

Speaker 3 (45:06):
So you know, of course, the hard part about this
discussion is we don't know what the player is gonna be, right,
what happens if if next year Jacksonville's not any good
and they would have been drafting the top ten, I
don't have a first round pick.

Speaker 6 (45:20):
That's tough.

Speaker 3 (45:21):
Then yeah, I'm sure we grade this obviously much much.

Speaker 2 (45:23):
Differently, Yeah, might be okay, how about this, So the
Browns they take Shaduur Sanders one fourth overall, so big
time value in the fifth round. But they have five
quarterbacks on their roster. So Jeff thumbs up, thumbs down
on the Browns drafting Dylan Gabriel then Shador five qbs.

Speaker 6 (45:43):
What do you think of this whole thing?

Speaker 3 (45:46):
I mean, I think thumbs down, right, I mean, what
are they gonna do? So let's talk about like the reps.
Who's gained the reps? How are they gonna be able
to make sure everyone's able to compete properly for the job. Look,
Dylan Gabriel is obviously drafted as a backup only, so
Drew's good enough to start. You have Joe Flacco, Deshaun
Watson's not gonna play anymore, but you have Kenny Pickett.
Why the two running backs? It doesn't make sense. I

(46:07):
even look, I like the traded back. I'm never gonna
knock in on for trading back. I don't know if
I liked trading back for Mason Graham, but you did
get a premium defensive alignment and a pick next year,
so I give him a little bit of grace on
that and look the pick. They do not seem very
happy at least on video for that pick, So I
worry if that's an owner driven decision as well. I

(46:28):
don't really like I don't like it. I don't think.
I don't like their strategy there of two running backs
and two quarterbacks.

Speaker 4 (46:36):
Yeah, I'm a thumbs down here. I just don't understand
this entire franchise.

Speaker 5 (46:44):
To be honest with you, no one does crack.

Speaker 4 (46:47):
The Browns. I guess it's beyond my pay grade here.
I just completely confused what they're doing a quarterback here?
Wh they keep Gabriel and Sanders going into the season
looking to use one and of a trade bait. I
just really have no clue. I don't get it. I
really don't.

Speaker 5 (47:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (47:02):
I would say maybe portions are thumbs up, but collectively
it's thumbs down. Having five quarterbacks on the roster, you'll
see the graphic on your screen, like, to see all
five on one roster is unbelievable. I don't know what
they're doing drafting Dylan Gabriel Dylan Gabriel in the third

(47:23):
round and then drafting Shaduur right after that. After they
picked up Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett, and they're still
paying Deshaun Watson.

Speaker 6 (47:30):
It's a fiasco over there.

Speaker 2 (47:32):
So unless, really, unless Shadure turns out to be a player,
which is possible, that that's really the only path to
this working out with the five quarterbacks that they have
right now. So if he doesn't pan out, then it's
really a thumbs down.

Speaker 5 (47:47):
All right.

Speaker 2 (47:48):
How about this the Bears they drafted tight end Colston
Loveland from Michigan instead of tight end Tyler Warren out
of Penn State.

Speaker 6 (47:56):
Thumbs up. Put thumbs down on that, Jeff.

Speaker 3 (48:00):
The thumbs up. I mean they got what they've done
all off season is make sure that kill Williams has
enough talent around him to evaluate how good he is.
I mean, Ward's better, probably Brian, but Loveland's not bad
and Loveld's a great pass catching tight end, So I
understand the decision. Heres I give a thumbs up.

Speaker 4 (48:18):
Anyways, Yeah, you know, guys, I don't know if you
guys realize this, but maybe they're just living in Vegas
over the year and talking to book makers. Like I said,
over the years, the Bears are one of the biggest
bet team every single year here Bears futures no matter
how bad they've been, and the people just maybe it's

(48:39):
just that home base of the Bears. They're fans coming
in town Chicago or people that have moved here. The
Bears are always a little scowed here in town. So
I still give him a thumbs up here. I guess
you know, these guys are basically a coin flip, so
I have no problem here. I guess the Bears needed
another tight end to go with Cole Comet for their

(49:01):
new season. Their new head coach Esch would say Ben
Johnson's too tight end offense, But I really would have
thought that number one priority was getting more protection for Williams.

Speaker 5 (49:14):
So maybe just a hair confused here.

Speaker 4 (49:17):
But yeah, so the Bears are this will probably still
affect their futures here. I didn't check before it went
on air, but you know, it's amazing whenever I'm at
some different jurisdictions around the country, whether I go to
Florida or which have sports betting now legal sports betting,
or on the East Coast, you could look at the

(49:37):
different futures.

Speaker 5 (49:38):
It's amazing.

Speaker 4 (49:39):
Sometimes certain teams get the money here or they're just
anticipated for getting the money here.

Speaker 5 (49:46):
And you know, you.

Speaker 4 (49:47):
Get worse odds, so I always say, you know, make
sure you're shopping for odds. But one thing great about
having bet MGM shameless plug for our sponsor here, but
you know they're they're like every so at least you
get to see them across state lines and stuff. And
I noticed when I was back east the app. You know,
you can bet in any of the states that they're legal,

(50:09):
so it's pretty good checking out there. They were like
the first this year was very by the way, guys,
you know I was, I was in Florida, I was
in Biloxi, I was back east. Last year April the
first sports book I know to put up season wins
literally a month before anyone was in Florida, the hard

(50:32):
Rock and totally different this year. I'll tell you what,
bet MGM is right there with every sports book to
have a full array of NFL season in futures right now.

Speaker 6 (50:45):
So yeah, just like player props, the whole thing.

Speaker 4 (50:48):
Yeah, yeah, they are really they were really ahead of
ahead of the curve this year.

Speaker 5 (50:53):
I was really happy to see.

Speaker 2 (50:54):
That Jeff I will not be betting Daniel Jones passing
yardage over.

Speaker 3 (50:58):
I wouldn't either, but I'm glad you're staying away from that.
That makes sense.

Speaker 2 (51:02):
Learned my lesson the game and what was it Germany,
We're doing early radio and against Carolina and that was
the end, that was the breaking point, and he was
interested in the dream was dead for real.

Speaker 6 (51:13):
Yeah, I've learned my lesson real quickly.

Speaker 5 (51:15):
I'll go.

Speaker 2 (51:15):
I'll go thumbs up on the Bears drafting Colston Loveland
with a great potential for this to be dead wrong.
But the thinking I believe makes sense. Where they like
cole Kmet right, and they viewed Tyler Warren as more
of a cole Kmet type player, and so they wanted
a different type of player like Colston Loveland, where he's

(51:36):
a little bit more like a wide receiver gets open effortlessly.
Tyler Warren is more of like a bulky you know,
can smash you around, George Kittle style, I guess, but
that's what cole Comette is. So they wanted something different,
a lot of twelve personnel, two tight ends on the
field at the same time.

Speaker 6 (51:53):
So I get the thinking, we'll see if it plays out.

Speaker 2 (51:56):
I think Tyler Warren is a better player, but in
terms of fit, you can make the argument that Loveland
fits a little bit better. I'll also say this, circling
back to the Browns quarterbacks. I love this tweet from
Todd Furman. He wrote, the Browns have become the that
fantasy manager who auto drafts his team ends up with
five quarterbacks and has to make trades just to field
an eligible roster. Like that seems exactly what it's like.

(52:20):
It's a fiasco over there in Cleveland.

Speaker 3 (52:22):
But I just don't I just didn't get I just
didn't didn't get it. Like, I don't really know what
the plan is. Like the way I think way I
grade the you know, the the draft is I look
at sort of process because you can't grade results. Now
we don't really really know what the players are going

(52:43):
to be, and I grade process, And to me, the
process just was right bad for the Browns.

Speaker 2 (52:50):
It's kind of like betting, Right, you talk about process
with betting. If your process is right, like and you lose,
you shouldn't kick yourself, Right, If you're at the poker
table and you go all in with pocket kings and
it doesn't work out, it's not necessarily a bad play.
But same thing holds true with the draft. It process matters.

Speaker 6 (53:10):
What was the process like for you last night? Crack
checking out ac DC? Did that work?

Speaker 5 (53:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (53:15):
That was well, I tell you. Brian Johnson, the lead
singer is going to be seventy eight years old. I
mean for him to be out there, you know, running
around scream. But but nothing was.

Speaker 5 (53:26):
Like Angus Young last night.

Speaker 4 (53:28):
I cannot believe seventy year old Angus Young running up
and down the center, running around the stage, still doing
his his classic you know, let's see where the Little
Boys school outfit?

Speaker 6 (53:41):
Yeah, yeah, and.

Speaker 4 (53:43):
Uh yeah, I really didn't want to go.

Speaker 5 (53:45):
I gotta be honest with you.

Speaker 4 (53:47):
I'm a little bit out of anything heavy now. Like
my wife still likes like Motley Crue and the ac DC,
And not that I didn't like them when I was younger,
but like her favorite bands are like Metallica. Uh and
she would die if Ozzie came back to you know,
we've seen Ozzie before. But so I used to like
this stuff when I was younger, but I'm more now,

(54:09):
Like I'm more of a Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett,
Bobby Darren type of guy now, a little bit calming
music in the.

Speaker 5 (54:16):
Background and stuff. But I still like classic rock.

Speaker 4 (54:19):
I love like Zeppelin, The Stones, the Doors, Pink Floyd,
but the heavy stuff a little bit too heavy for me.
But I really enjoyed the concert last night. It was
really what energy out of these guys. That'll be the
last time. I'm sure they're they're here in Vegas, and
I was really happy because eight years they didn't play
because Brian Johnson was told by doctors he can never

(54:42):
sing it again in concert, so for him to come
back and great shows sold out crazy, but of a
very calm show. No, I didn't see any fights, any problems,
any kind of like mosh pits. They don't really do
that kind of stuff ac DC no more. I think
they're a little bit too old for that kind of stuf.
But yeah, I enjoyed the show. But I noticed the

(55:03):
difference in concerts now from years ago because of the crowd,
because of the I should say the America, the youth
of the country, and maybe social media. You used to
be able to get a lot closer. I think I
said the group of texts, you know, to sit up front.
There's no reason to sit up front because they put

(55:25):
the stage so far from the crowd now and it's
all standing room. The first section is there. I noticed
a lot of the shows, even the Stones last year,
standing room only in the front because they could fit
triple the amount of seats that they would.

Speaker 5 (55:39):
But I enjoyed it. You know.

Speaker 4 (55:40):
One of the great things about living in Vegas, boy,
the shows and the concerts come to us so great
town for many reasons. Weather meals shows, and last night
was a great example of that.

Speaker 6 (55:53):
So I was surprised, where are you in Vegas?

Speaker 2 (55:55):
I know, I would have loved to have gone. My
pockets aren't that deep. Apparently ladies are expensive seats, are
they really?

Speaker 4 (56:02):
Because Jeff, you can I thought you can get them
for like, you know, under one hundred dollars.

Speaker 5 (56:05):
I don't. I don't know.

Speaker 6 (56:06):
That's not bad. Well that I couldn't do that.

Speaker 5 (56:08):
I could just get in the stadium.

Speaker 2 (56:09):
When are you in Vegas, Jeff? Next June or something
like that, July. Man, I hope Lamb of God is
just rolling through town around that same time.

Speaker 3 (56:18):
Labata Pack twelve Media Day just all to at the
same time you did, the same.

Speaker 2 (56:23):
Time bookended, you know it just like you know a
little morning, you know, late evening, you know, to a day.

Speaker 5 (56:31):
Yeah, I still.

Speaker 4 (56:34):
Don't can't believe that Jeff's not coming in for this
Electric Daisy Festival or whatever we have here.

Speaker 3 (56:38):
Yeah, my wife, Yeah, my wife will be there. Her
tickets are on the way. The gender email. She's so excited.

Speaker 5 (56:43):
She is she coming in with a bunch of friends
or just her cousin.

Speaker 3 (56:45):
Yeah, they're picking up. They got they got outfits like
picked out. Yeah, they're ready to go.

Speaker 5 (56:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (56:51):
Yeah, the outfits are on.

Speaker 5 (56:54):
Do you have like any coming over to help you
there or no?

Speaker 3 (56:57):
White kids are ten and eight, they can watch themselves.
All right, all right, we got a they don't need help.

All right, let's do this follow the money, real good money.

Speaker 2 (58:12):
Yes, we are following the money with our good friend,
Christian Zippolini, bet MGM Trading Manager.

Speaker 6 (58:17):
Good morning to you, Christian.

Speaker 2 (58:18):
Okay, NFL draft wise, I'm curious you guys, more times
than not get what you want right at BETMGM, things
going your way. What's something that you wanted to happen
in the draft that did happen, And what's something else
that you wanted to happen that did not happen.

Speaker 1 (58:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (58:36):
So the draft though, was the one event where the
books don't always get what they want. Although this was
this was an okay draft that well, some things did
go away, some things didn't. The one that we definitely
needed the most. I think I talked about it last week,
and it was Gent to fall out of the top five.
We got hit a few different ways. We got hit
on Gent to the Jags, him to be the fifth pick,

(59:00):
to be a top five pick, all kind of got
hit at the same time. So once that trade went
through and it looked like he wasn't gonna end up
of the Jags, that was a spot where we felt
very good. We were happy to see. So that was
the main one that we really liked.

Speaker 3 (59:13):
There was a couple that we didn't.

Speaker 7 (59:14):
One one in particular that actually got us pretty good
was the Saints and drafts and offensive linemen because of
the fact that they were tagged to go for Shador
at some point, some people got a pretty good price there,
so I saw that was one that that stung us
pretty good. And then Dart falling into the first round
two wasn't great, but the fact that Shador also didn't
go first round kept our total qbs drafted under two

(59:38):
and a half, so that.

Speaker 5 (59:39):
Was one that we liked.

Speaker 3 (59:40):
Yeah, not being drafted in the first round, did that
help it hurt you guys? I mean, I don't think
you put up Yes, no props on first round pick
for for Sanders, but obviously you know, the under quarterbacks
and and some of the exacts of where he might
go were affected.

Speaker 4 (59:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (59:59):
Exactly was we were talking about with our trading team
is that the draft is weird because we tend to
want chaos, but there can be kind of good chaos
and bad chaos, and Sanders Pauling ended up being kind
of good chaos for us. I'd say, all in all
in the way that it kind of worked out, especially too,
because him going to the Browns was one of the
more expected teams, and there were a few out there that,

(01:00:22):
you know, maybe could have taken a flyer, like, let
me say, the forty nine ers or the Cowboys or
somebody like that, you know, as you started dropping, and
there was a couple of those teams that that were
just at a really high price, so we would have
taken a hit there. So him falling back and ending
up going back into the Browns not the way people
expected actually kind of worked out.

Speaker 5 (01:00:41):
Good morning, Christian.

Speaker 4 (01:00:42):
Uh, when we're going to the NBA, any big future
bet you guys are taken to have taken that, you're
that you're kind of fading a little bit or kind
of pretty even much across the board. Give us any uh,
any any big future or even even any big bat.

Speaker 5 (01:01:00):
I mean, who knows.

Speaker 4 (01:01:00):
Maybe the Lakers got a big bet today against I
know the line went down a little bit against Minnesota,
or any big bets coming into the public loves to
hear about them.

Speaker 7 (01:01:09):
Yeah, I haven't seen one yet, but we do have
a that has been betting pretty big on the Lakers. Actually,
Game one of the series, the player put over half
a million down on the Lakers, which they lost that game,
So we were okay with that. But the Lakers are
far and away our biggest liability. I'll come next week
to try to see which. I know we had a
couple of big ones on there, but there are most

(01:01:32):
bet on team to win the finals, and there has
been a few big bets that have gotten us there.
So pretty much the books just were fading anything Lakers
the rest of the way.

Speaker 2 (01:01:41):
Sure, how about this Christian. We've got four game four
US today in the NBA. So of those four games,
is there anything in particular that you want at the
top of the list.

Speaker 7 (01:01:52):
I think it was last week or two weeks ago
we were talking NBA playoffs and all the games were
twelve and a half point spreads, thirteen and a half
point spread, So we aren't happy that Today is a
lot closer games, so it should be a much much
better slate. But I'll go back to what I mentioned before.
If we can get one outcome today, it will definitely
be the Timberwolves to beat the Lakers, just because from

(01:02:12):
every standpoint, you know, that's the one team that we
want to go away. But number two on that list
would be the Magic if they can either pull off
the upset of the Celtics or at least cover at home,
something we'll.

Speaker 5 (01:02:24):
Be rooting for.

Speaker 3 (01:02:25):
I would imagine that we're going to see a lot
of action on Luca today. Are you seeing that as well?
Because he didn't play as well again, score as many
points as he normally does. And you know, I would
imagine that the casual looks at that and says, hey, man,
I'm on Luca overs today.

Speaker 7 (01:02:41):
Yeah, exactly. I was actually looking at our NBA Finals
MVP liability and Luca was the one that really stood
out just his price point and the amount of bets
that he's taken, so his popularity is still there for sure.
And then if I can also touch on Lebron James,
if he goes overall his point totals, it should be

(01:03:02):
no surprise that that's not going to be good for
the book.

Speaker 4 (01:03:06):
Christian, how's uh, you know, after NFL which is the
big betting season, and I know, even myself, I pulled
down money out of my account, my sports betting accounts.
How you guys been doing, like with the NBA volume
baseball volume, You're pretty happy with the volume and pretty
happy results so far that you know, Like I said,
after football, everyone usually like kind of pulls money down.

Speaker 7 (01:03:28):
This MLB season is actually also a very good start
from the book's perspective, whereas the beginning of the n
B and the beginning of the NHL playoffs had actually
been pretty poor for US, which is a bit surprising.
NHL is usually pretty steady, not really sure exactly what
was contributing to it, and then from the NBA side,

(01:03:50):
we've ended up being Okay, despite the fact that you know,
there's been a few runaways, especially the Thunder dominating a
few of those games. People have been all over the Thunder,
so little bit mixed on the NBA side.

Speaker 1 (01:04:01):
MLB has been really good.

Speaker 7 (01:04:02):
But yeah, we are at this point where we start
losing games every single day, and you know, any NBA
series that ends, suddenly that's left games they able to
be bet on. So we're starting to see the summer
coming in those long days of just baseball.

Speaker 6 (01:04:19):
I'll tell you it hurts my heart. Christian. You're losing
games every day.

Speaker 1 (01:04:23):
Man, Yeah, I know how I.

Speaker 2 (01:04:26):
Carry on over here, but really appreciate you popping on.
I hope you have a great day, Christian. We'll catch
you soon.

Speaker 7 (01:04:32):
Bud, of course, great plate today, so really excited.

Speaker 2 (01:04:36):
Absolutely there he is, Christian Cippolini, bet MGM Trading manager.

Speaker 6 (01:04:40):
Good stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:04:41):
Okay, we go from heavy hitter to heavy hitter from
Christian Cipolini straight to the sports desk.

Speaker 6 (01:04:46):
I almost said news desk.

Speaker 2 (01:04:48):
I don't know if that'd be a you know, slapping
the face over there, the sports desk over here with
I love mister Isaac Lowenkron.

Speaker 6 (01:04:54):
What's going on?

Speaker 8 (01:04:54):
It is indeed the Toy Department of Life, and we
are here for it. Starting with Game three of the
NBA Playoffs on Saturday night, and saw the Golden State
Warriors defeat the Houston Rockets one O four to ninety
three for a two games to one lead. Steph Curry
thirty six points, seven rebounds and nine assists. In Game
four of the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Saturday night.

Speaker 6 (01:05:16):
Hockey you go to you can't go no more.

Speaker 8 (01:05:18):
Indeed, the Colorado Avalanche shut out the Dallas Stars ford
to nothing to tie the series at two. The Ottawa
Senators stayed alive with a four to three overtime victory
over the Toronto Maple Leafs. Got a goal by Jake Sanderson.
Here's how it sounded on radio station c FGO Sanderson
the South Scars.

Speaker 9 (01:05:37):
Sanderson pet the goal from the points Ottawa Flynn for
another day. Jake Sanderson sarrist on the feet from Tyler Clevin.

Speaker 5 (01:05:50):
Holy oh Mo.

Speaker 8 (01:05:52):
Toronto still leads the series three games to one, and finally,
in Major League Baseball, on Saturday night, au Haneo Sworerez
of the Arizona Diamondbacks hit four home runs against the
Atlanta Braves, but the Braves won the game eight to
seven in ten innings, as Suarez became just the second
player in baseball history to hit four home runs in

(01:06:15):
a game yet have his team lose the game. The
other Bob Horner, who at four home runs ironically for
the Braves in nineteen eighty six at a game they
lost to the then Montreal Expos.

Speaker 5 (01:06:28):
Now.

Speaker 8 (01:06:29):
The reaction to this game and performance amongst Arizona fans
perhaps best summarized on social media by at Cody Matza ten,
who posted quote, after getting through the Sun season with
thousands spent on therapy, I gotta say I was excited
for d Backs baseball, but I may need.

Speaker 6 (01:06:51):
To go back to therapy soon.

Speaker 8 (01:06:54):
Unquote at Cody Maza ten, still processing things, guys, back
to you.

Speaker 6 (01:07:01):
Thank you Ilo.

Speaker 2 (01:07:01):

You get a guy to hit four home runs and
your your team still loses. If you had d Bax
money line yesterday, that's brutal. But more perfect games pitched

(01:07:35):
than four home run games.

Speaker 6 (01:07:36):
Yeah, so that's that's interesting right there.

Speaker 2 (01:07:39):
You know, I feel like we tweet perfect games as
we should, like whoa mind blowing and then a four
home run game is like, hey look at Suarez onto
other things, you.

Speaker 6 (01:07:48):
Know, like we we just turn the page real fast
on four home.

Speaker 3 (01:07:51):
I would have thought it happened more often, but I mean,
I guess it's just you get four bets of game.
I mean it just it's so hard to hit to
do with see you guys at three a lot? But
yeah four. Yeah. The bullpen for the Diamondbacks three runs
day thinking they actually love that. They allowed Sars to
get back up on the ninth and his fourth home
run and they're not able to close that one out. So,

(01:08:13):
you know, baseball this year, it's only an It's a
month in man, it just means nothing like it. It
doesn't I think about about this. I mean, it's April
twenty seventh, it's seen until September twenty seventh. It's it's
just a long grind and perfect word, there's not much
to take away in my opinion. The Braves started bad.
They're playing better, you know, like they're but otherwise there's

(01:08:34):
not many at least to me, Brian right now, the
Giants are surprised, I guess playing better and people thought,
but there's not many surprises yet.

Speaker 6 (01:08:43):
Yeah, yeah, so rightly.

Speaker 5 (01:08:45):
I had.

Speaker 4 (01:08:46):
By the way, guys, I'm having my first losing month
out of the last ten.

Speaker 5 (01:08:50):
So I had nine winning.

Speaker 4 (01:08:51):
Months in a row, unbelievable being sports. But this month
has been a tough not really getting killed, but definitely
losing this month. And you know, even even my my
baseball props NBA props kind of return to the mean
a little bit. I was really a way above board,
but it is. It's a it's a tough month. You
have to sit back and just continue that bank roll management.

(01:09:13):
Don't chase, don't go crazy, don't just start betting more
because it's the last baseball game of the night.

Speaker 2 (01:09:20):
Yeah, we still have a couple of days left here, crack, Like,
are we in range? I know you're your bank roll
management guy, and that's why you're successful. But are we
within range of turning this into a winning month here?

Speaker 5 (01:09:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:09:31):
You know what, but there's only a few days left
and there's gonna be no rush to uh you know,
there's always more games tomorrow or next week. But yeah,
we're still in range to they could you have to
get out a little bit or return to my mean
a little bit so, but yeah, the black people don't
usually talk about their losers, but I like to always
be transparent no matter what. And uh, you know, it's

(01:09:54):
very rare. I probably didn't even tell you guys I
won ten months in a row. But it's very rare
to win ten months in a row. I've never really,
I can't remember a losing quarter, to be honest with you,
which of course means I'm not gonna have a losing year.

Speaker 5 (01:10:05):
And uh, it's just it's nice to have that the
fall back on.

Speaker 4 (01:10:09):
I know, I know we're gonna win in the end,
but yeah, baseball, the first month hasn't been that. You know,
it hasn't been terrible, but it hasn't been good. Definitely
losing a little bit.

Speaker 2 (01:10:18):
Love you man, it's uh, I can't I can't quite
recall a losing quarter, can't quite put my thumb on that.

Speaker 5 (01:10:25):
That's a decade.

Speaker 6 (01:10:26):
That's why you're making a living on this stuff, no doubt.

Speaker 3 (01:10:29):
Yeah, if I just did live wager, it would be
so much better. I just need to stop. It's And
the funny part is football, I almost never live wager.
I make my wager for the day and I win
or lose, and that's the end of it. Like basketball,
like I'm all in the live wager And it's just
like as tonas Brian last night, not a Ben MGM
but another another sportsbook app. I have lost insane amount

(01:10:53):
of live wagers in a row. And I just again,
it's not gonna kill my bank roll. But it's still
like it just I don't know why basketball Hockey, I don't.
I don't. I don't do it. In football. I have
very rare instances when I do it. It's like college football,
you know, big home favorite starts slow, I'll get it,

(01:11:14):
maybe a better number, you know. NFL like never. I
mean I might wager on player props over for running
backs in the NFL when I think there's gonna be
a blowout, I think they're gonna get an opportunity to
rush the ball at the end of the game like that.
I just don't do it at football. I mean, it's
because it's a different type of game obviously, and when

(01:11:37):
you make your wager, you study all week and you
make your wager and you make it. But that's what
it is. But for basketball, I'm like, so celt are
starting slow, I'm all in. I mean, I was talking
to Brian yesterday. Okay see, yesterday was playing seventy five percent,
and we kept thinking, like, they're gonna turn it on,
They're gonna. I just kept pouring money into Oklahoma City

(01:11:58):
on them on because I just at some point they're
like and they got up twelve and I'm like, sweet,
like we're in and then they just like stop playing
the last four minutes of the game. And so that's
just my problem. If I just did live bring.

Speaker 4 (01:12:11):
Up a great point, though, you're really there. It's a
great subject matter. NFL season, I just it's just pre
flopping going that. Granted, I'm betting Monday mornings, I'm betting,
you know, all week long, but I really can't remember
making an NFL in progress wager live wager, whereas I
have made wagers live wagers in the last couple of weeks,

(01:12:33):
so especially like you know, during like day four of
the Masters, or you know, like you're in the moment
and yeah, you know it's right, but we have to
remember here, just like Brian was just saying about bank
roll management, it's so important because when you're betting live,
likely most likely you're betting double the juice you're laying

(01:12:56):
then pre flop. Now what I mean is, you know,
let's say one ten on both sides on the NFL game,
and now you're going to play one fifteen both sides
or even minus won twenty both sides on certain type
of bets, which is think about that. How hard that
is to overcome just one ten juice, never mind one
twenty juice. But you're in a moment, you're dicking, you're

(01:13:19):
locked in, you're seeing something live, and you're saying, oh,
I gotta beat this. And always remember guys too. I'm
real big at betting during commercials only. I don't like
betting during my TV, which has to be at least
minimum fifteen seconds delayed.

Speaker 5 (01:13:38):
Probably more. A lot of people watch like YouTube TV.
It's a minute to lay.

Speaker 4 (01:13:44):
I mean dreaming, right, I mean, there's just you want
to bet during commercials. I'm not a live guy to
bet every moment of the games. But you bring up
a great point. I don't remember betting a live game
during NFL, and go, Brian, what about you? You're pretty
much done for the day, or do will you bet

(01:14:05):
a little bit live maybe during the night game or
yeah you're watching, No, I'll.

Speaker 6 (01:14:09):
Bet live, I'll bet live.

Speaker 2 (01:14:10):
But it's like I always say, these games lie to
you right where you're thinking, okay. A good example would
be the Nuggets are just clabbering the Clippers, and the
last thought you have in your head is, hey, man,
Clippers might win this game out right when they're losing
by over twenty.

Speaker 6 (01:14:27):
But it can happen.

Speaker 2 (01:14:29):
I also think what's funny too, is you can actually
be influenced by other games the same day that have
nothing to do with the current game.

Speaker 6 (01:14:36):
You might be live betting on of course where right
you might have a tendency.

Speaker 2 (01:14:40):
Think about the Calves just crushed Miami first game of
the day, and then later you're watching the Nuggets killing
the Clippers. You might think, here we go again, even
though it's a completely different game. It's something that have
to guard against. But live wagering can be tricky. Absolutely,
It's one of those weird things. Hey, when this team

(01:15:01):
looks as bad as they possibly can, that's.

Speaker 6 (01:15:04):
The time to bet them. Like oftentimes that's the way
it works. It's very tricky.

Speaker 5 (01:15:09):
All right.

Speaker 2 (01:15:09):
We've got Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper. Jeff Schwartz, eight
year NFL veteran. I'm probably in no coming up next.

Speaker 1 (01:15:47):
This prop it up player plays Alright.

Speaker 6 (01:15:54):
The prompt betting market crack. We start with you with
something you.

Speaker 4 (01:15:57):
Like, Okay, I just want to to bet MGM to
make sure, but is still the same in the NBA.

Speaker 5 (01:16:02):
I like the Timberwolves.

Speaker 4 (01:16:04):
Let's go with Eacan Chenzo versus the Lakers over seventeen
and a half points, rebounds assist. He played thirty one
minutes last game off the bench and was in the
game down the stretch on.

Speaker 5 (01:16:16):
The fourth quarter. He hasn't shot the bolt great in
this series so far, which is why the number may
be a little bit low.

Speaker 4 (01:16:23):
I think he has a bounce back game today at
home versus the Lakers this year, and this number goes
over so where you would find that too, Guys a
little bit confusing. Go to the player combo stats, points, rebounds, assist.
You'll see them for each player over seventeen and a
half on this one today.

Speaker 3 (01:16:43):
I like Porzengis, Crack and Brian over seventeen and a
half points in this game. He played poorly in game one,
came back the games too, scored a bunch of points
quite poorly in game three, I think comes back to
I think Boston just scores a lot of points today,
So I like that for the Celtics.

Speaker 2 (01:17:02):
All right, I'm gonna look at this Pistons game. Shout
out to Chris Purfett, our technical producer.

Speaker 6 (01:17:08):
With Detroit Basketball.

Speaker 2 (01:17:11):
I can't do it in key because I can't sing
in key, but that's the best I can do.

Speaker 6 (01:17:15):
I'm gonna go with that was perfect, way better, way
better by that guy.

Speaker 5 (01:17:24):
Love that.

Speaker 6 (01:17:25):
I like the Pistons in a zigzag spot.

Speaker 2 (01:17:29):
I like them to cover the point in a half
and so, which means prop betting wise, I like Kid Cunningham.
This is also a zigzag spot for him if you
look each game. So he was under in game one
point total wise over in game two, under in game three.
I like him over twenty seven and a half today.
I think this is a good spot for him. So

(01:17:52):
I will roll with the former number one overall pick,
Kid Cunningham, who's been good all series long. It's just
you know, he's ticked up a little bit if this
game took down just slightly in that other game.

Speaker 6 (01:18:03):
So I look for him to be in a tick
up spot right here.

Speaker 3 (01:18:07):
I think, is this is this fat game too.

Speaker 6 (01:18:12):
I've got that on my list.

Speaker 2 (01:18:13):
Also, he was amazing in game three, but under twenty
two and a half I could absolutely I.

Speaker 3 (01:18:17):
Think that the Pistons win. It's a brawl, you know,
And like that that favors them. I like the Pistons
a lot in the first quarter, by the way, I've
aready wagered them in the first quarter in this game.
I think they just have to start fast in this one.
So yeah, I like uh. I mean, I don't know
if it's a prop bet, but I like the Hurricanes
on the sixty minute line today against the Devils. They've
been far better than Devils. Devil's got an overtime winning

(01:18:39):
Game three. It happens. I think Carolina today handles business
in Game four against the Devils.

Speaker 6 (01:18:45):
Interesting, Bob, what do you guys think about this?

Speaker 2 (01:18:48):
Jeff, We've talked about the Celtics who think they're bouncing
back against Orlando today. Your guy crack Paulo Bancaro has
been fantastic and he's been scoring at will. But the
Celtics are off a loss, and his point total is
ticked up. So it started off twenty four and a
half in game one, it's up to twenty nine and

(01:19:08):
a half. For Game four, it's ticked up five points here,
so under twenty nine and a half for ban Caro.
I think it's a live play here, But again, he's
gone over his point total in every game, all three
games so far.

Speaker 6 (01:19:21):
So what do you guys think about that?

Speaker 5 (01:19:23):
Are you on the under? I mean, I can't play
over that number?

Speaker 3 (01:19:26):
Wow, it's I mean, he just he's the only option
for that. Like, no, he's the entire of I know,
I know, you know, Wagner had what twenty thirty two
letter day like I he could score. But I just look,
I took the ninety five and a half under a
team total before the show. Brian too. I just figured
that I just don't think they're gonna score. So that's

(01:19:47):
kind of correlated to both of those in the player
pop market. So the other one, like, by the way,
Sam Howser has been terrible. Are we gonna go to
the Houser?

Speaker 6 (01:19:58):
Yeah, it's been yeah, he said zero three the series.
It's like against Indiana last year.

Speaker 2 (01:20:04):
Hey, by the way, quietly, Pascal Siakam, he's been over
his point total for the Pacers in all three games.
Maybe a zigzag spot for the Pacers who lost Game three. Yeah,
maybe maybe Siakam over twenty one and a half. He's
been over that every single game thus far. Keep that
on your radar right there, all right?

Speaker 6 (01:20:25):
Coming up next?

Speaker 2 (01:20:27):
Win totals? What do we think about these now post
trap we'll compare notes. Oh, good morning, welcome in, Happy
Sunday to you help. Your day is off to a
fantastic start.

Speaker 6 (01:20:41):
Win totals. You gotta look at win totals here in
just a few seconds.

Speaker 2 (01:20:45):
Draft coverage on Fox Sports Radio is brought to you
by ship Station Calm the chaos with the shipping software
that delivers use code Sports for a free trial at
shipstation dot com at shipstation dot com Code Sports. Okay,
so the draft is in the books and I just
peaked at season win totals.

Speaker 6 (01:21:06):
Yeah, so simple question.

Speaker 2 (01:21:10):
Do you think differently at all after the draft with
certain teams, whether you're thinking about taking their overseason win total,
their underseason win total, any movement for you in terms
of firing away their jeft.

Speaker 3 (01:21:23):
Not probably specifically because of the draft, but I mean,
I don't know how you don't go Pittsburgh under right
now at the moment, Mason Rudolphe or quarterback. I don't
know how you don't fire that away. My favorite sort
of win total combination with those I like the Niners

(01:21:45):
under in the Rams to win the NFC West. That
didn't change after the draft. I don't know. The Niners
didn't to me get significantly better, the Rams to get
significantly worse. So the Rams I think are still the
second best odds right to win the division, which I
just I don't I don't understand. I just don't get here.

(01:22:06):
I'm looking at right here to make sure I have
the right numbers NFC West. Yeah, Niners are still a favorite,
slightly twenty five cent favorite. The Rams were a play
away from beating Philly in a snowstorm. Yeah, minus two
and turnovers. When McVeigh has had a healthy Matt Stafford.
All they have done is win a ton of football games,

(01:22:28):
including the division and a Super Bowl. The Niners have
done none of those things. The Niners got a worse
of offseason crack. I like the Rams here. I have
not placed many NFL future wagers. I've been a lot
of my money was tied up in the draft. Honestly,
I was only down at union and a half for
how many wagers.

Speaker 5 (01:22:46):
I've made.

Speaker 3 (01:22:46):
I'm thank thankfully the Raiders would have drafted off. It's
the line that opened up about four units, and unfortunately
it's not the way it works sometimes, but I would
maybe that's my first NFL wager this year is Rams
with division. I feel like you can always get better numbers.
At some point during the season, you know it's it's
it's plus one sixty now. You could Rams lose to

(01:23:09):
one and sixty five. Rams lose first weekend, nin Ers
win first weekend, you get a better number. So I
don't know if i'd play it now, but I like
the Ramson in the NFC West.

Speaker 4 (01:23:17):
Yeah, I'm looking at the season wins here on bet
MGM and San Fran ten and a half under thirty,
just to give you some of these teams, Pittsburgh eight
and a half under twenty, and then going to your
Rams there, their season wins are nine and a half
over forty five. So bet MGM all the season wins.

(01:23:41):
Of course, like I said, they were one of the
first to market this year. I still like the Giants
under even though you have to lay a dollar fifty
now under five and a half. I like what the
Steelers did with their picks, drafting three guys that have
Tomlin written all over them. One of your Oregon guys there, yeah,
have tackled Derek Harmon.

Speaker 3 (01:24:03):
Harmon he's very he's a very good sad story By
the way, his mother passed right after drafted, which yeah,
she she was. She was in the hospital, I believe,
right right, right, Brian, and I think she has just support. Yeah,
I just sort of. And he was able, I believe
the story correct them. He was able to go see
her and tell her he was drafted before she passed,

(01:24:25):
So that at least was you know, some some you
know something he was able to do for her at
the end.

Speaker 5 (01:24:30):
God bless him and his family.

Speaker 3 (01:24:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:24:33):
Anyway, going back to the Steelers, I was, wow, he
got me there. I didn't know that story about Harmon.
She would have looked it up a little bit. Also, Uh,
there was power back Cliff Johnson, Ohio States Championship Pardners
linebacker Sawyer. These three guys have Steelers, like I said,
written all over them. I got already picture all three

(01:24:55):
in the black and yellow uniforms. As far as bad draft, so,
I think the forty nine Ers kind of missed some
opportunities to upgrade their offensive line. I'm not sure where
they didn't look at getting some more protection for party
in this draft. Jeff, I'll tell you, I read an
article on it. I like what your chiefs actually did
in the draft, grabbing one of the best offensive tackles

(01:25:17):
in the draft in the first round with Simmons, and
adding some real speed at wide receiver running back with
Royals and Smiths in the fourth and seventh rounds.

Speaker 5 (01:25:25):
What grade do you give the Chiefs there, Jeff.

Speaker 3 (01:25:28):
The Chiefs needed to do two things in this draft.
I felt that they need to get defensive tackles and
running back. And they got defen tackled in the second
round who had one of the higher pass rush grades
for last season, which is fantastic. And then they got
this super fast running back who looks like sort of
the thunder and lightning option for Pachaco and for this offense,

(01:25:51):
who can looks like he catch up his former wide
receiver runs in the four fours, has only played one
year running backs. I like those additions. The Royals kid
seems like a good value. And then look, they got
Simmons to play left tackle for them. Eventually he was
often tackled one until he got hurt this year, which
you know that that happens. So I like what they did.
I'm surprised they didn't address tight end, but I guess
you have one more year to worry about that. But

(01:26:14):
you know there, Look the thing about the Chiefs, I
thought after the Super Bowl they would decide to sort
of use this year to refresh the roster. But when
Kelsey came back and going for it again, So to me,
they're an over win total team for that exact reason,
Like they're gonna try to win the championship again, and
that acclud's winning recas games and if the offense is healthy,

(01:26:36):
you know Worthy and and Rice off an injury but
also probably suspended for a little bit. Plus Hollywood Brown
is back, remember he missed three months of the season.
Plus you added Royals, like they have a chance to
just be better on offense. So I think this team
is primed again to win a lot of games.

Speaker 2 (01:26:53):
Yeah, it's interesting going back to what you said about
the Niners here, Jeff, where Yeah, they targeted defense their
first five draft picks. We're all defensive players. And I
find it interesting their season win total, so they're the
only team that's alongside the Lions with a win total
of ten and a half while you think about, yeah,
the year that the Niners just had. The one thing though,

(01:27:16):
is if you look at their schedule, their schedule is
certainly favorable so they played their own division. Obviously, they
play the NFC South, which is a weaker division. They
play the AFC South, which is a weaker division. And
their extra three games are Bears at home, at the Browns,
at the Giants. So it's like that's a pretty favorable path.

(01:27:36):
You compare that to the Lions. Their road schedule is absurd.
It's so difficult what the Lions have in front of them.
So that goes a long way to explain like why
those two teams are neck and neck with the same
win total. Here's the road schedule for the Lions, real fast.
So their division at the Bears, at the Packers, at

(01:27:58):
the Vikings, then they get at the Eagles, at the Commanders,
at the Ravens, at the Bengals, at the Chiefs, at
the Rams.

Speaker 6 (01:28:06):
That's freaking brutal.

Speaker 2 (01:28:09):
But you got to keep that in mind when you're
looking at these season win total markets. I'll tell you what, man,
I like what the Patriots did. The Patriots getting some
offensive help around Drake may I don't know. The Patriots
might have a better roster right now than the Dolphins do.
The Dolphins win total is eight and a half, the
Patriots is seven.

Speaker 5 (01:28:28):
And a half. Yeah, I.

Speaker 3 (01:28:33):
Just I've made this mention this before, the concept of
being maybe a little bit too late to the hype train,
that being too early, like if the Patriots go over
the win total fantastic, I'm just not going to bet
on it. Like I just I just kind of see
him do it.

Speaker 2 (01:28:51):
I know, you see seven and a half and you're like, hey,
you got to get to at least eight and nine.
You're just a scoch below five hundred.

Speaker 3 (01:29:00):
Yeah, everyone's on the Bears, and I just I just know.

Speaker 6 (01:29:06):
Yeah in Chicago is what eight and a half.

Speaker 3 (01:29:10):
I'm just not gonna do it. I'm not doing a crack.
I'm not following. I'm not following the group.

Speaker 5 (01:29:13):
That's why I like, I love you know.

Speaker 4 (01:29:15):
There's only I think I have one sports book literally one,
maybe two, but well I think I have one here
in Vegas. It's bet MGM that that what I'm talking
about when I'm referring to is that has adjusted season wins.
So like Jeff is saying, maybe wait and see on
season wins, maybe don't do anything in the beginning of season,

(01:29:38):
see what happens. A couple of games here with the
Patriots Miami or whoever it may be, and MGM will
adjust them every week and have an adjusted win total,
which most of the sports books do not have, So
that's a great option to bet. I love betting adjusted
win totals. But yeah, I'm looking at Miami Dolphins. Like
Brian said, eight and a half under a dollar forty five,

(01:30:00):
New England Patriots seven and a half over.

Speaker 5 (01:30:02):
A dollar forty.

Speaker 4 (01:30:03):
Boy, it's really tough for me to take in New
England Patriot team after what I've seen these last couple
of years and go over, But obviously that's favored with
the over seven and a half minus a dollar forty Again,
I'm going to agree with Jeff here to wait and
see here on a couple of these teams.

Speaker 6 (01:30:23):
You have any that are not waiting seees cracked that
you like at this point.

Speaker 5 (01:30:27):
The Giants.

Speaker 4 (01:30:28):
I bet the Giants under, like you guys know season wins,
I bet under five and a half. I got that
at bet MGM. I think I sent that to you
guys when I did bet it at the time. There's
a couple there I still like, though, but Giants definitely,
I would have no problem betting that again. I'll look
to bet under the Bears too.

Speaker 5 (01:30:49):
Here.

Speaker 4 (01:30:49):
I think Jeff was just saying that maybe under the
Bears it was at eight and a half. Still, let
me just make sure it's eight and a half under
bear it eight and a half minus a dollar thirty five.
To be honest, I laid a little bit more than that,
so I laid it a little bit more. I laid
a dollar forty. I may look towards that a little bit,
betting a little bit more on that. But yeah, early

(01:31:11):
when they put them up, I bet Chicago, Cincinnati, Seattle
Giants all under their season wins, the Saints over six
and a half. The only over I went with was
the Saints. These are all bet MGM. Yeah, I made
the Saints line has went against me now, so the
Saints actually went.

Speaker 3 (01:31:31):
Under because I was going to ask you about that.
That was before the Derek Carr news came out.

Speaker 5 (01:31:35):
Yeah, that's right, that's right.

Speaker 4 (01:31:36):
Yeah, So that's why you have to I'm just giving
you bets I made in the past, not saying to
advise them to play anymore now, except for the Giants.
The Giants, I would still stick with that under five
and a half. I don't think they're going anywhere this year.

Speaker 3 (01:31:50):
Again, the way go ahead say. The one pushback on
the Giants is this, and is that they were I
think I'm right on this numb or one and eight
last season in one.

Speaker 6 (01:32:01):
Score Yeah, those one score games, and their schedule this.

Speaker 3 (01:32:04):
Year is absolutely brutal. It is a tough, tough schedule,
but you're probably not going one and eight again in
one score games, and even if you just get to
four and four of those games, you're winning seven games.
Like that's that's the thing about it, and that the
schedule those tough. They the AFC West like it's a
it's a tough an NFC North I think this season

(01:32:26):
and then and then they get the Niners because they
finished last place in the division. So it is a tough,
tough schedule. And Russell Wilson's currently their quarterback before Jackson
Dart plays that would at some point, So that that's
my concern year.

Speaker 6 (01:32:43):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's it.

Speaker 2 (01:32:45):
And that's the thing though, too, is we're not saying
Russ is prime Russ or Jackson Dart's gonna be you know,
Jayden Daniels out of the gate here, but compared to
what they had last season, like they had Daniel Jones,
and what else Drew Locke for a few games. I
think we got a little bit of Tommy Cutlet's action, right, like,
that's what they had so ross even though he's not

(01:33:08):
what he once was, he's better than what they had
last season. And if you're thinking about one score of games,
maybe they win a couple of those. By the way,
it's uh, this is funny. So the win totals. I
put the list together last month at the end of March,
and so we're almost at the end of April, about
a month later. There's only one team on bet MGM

(01:33:29):
where their season win total has either gone up a
full game or down a full game.

Speaker 6 (01:33:35):
That one team. Guess, Sure, what do you have, Bears,
It's a good guess. It's not crack. Do you want
to throw one out there?

Speaker 7 (01:33:45):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (01:33:45):
No, go ahead, Raiders.

Speaker 2 (01:33:49):
It is the Cleveland Browns. They have dropped. Their win
total was five and a half. It's now four and
a half post draft.

Speaker 3 (01:33:57):
Dropped one. That's one that crushed me. Last year. I
took their season win total over four and a half
in the middle of the year when Deshaun Watson got
hurt and Winston beat the Steelers on Thursday, Night Football
off like sweet or maybe it was over three and
a half, but basically they didn't win a game in

(01:34:18):
the last seven game of the season, like I just didn't.
It just didn't happen.

Speaker 6 (01:34:23):
It's wild. These win totals are wild, man, the way
it works out sometimes.

Speaker 5 (01:34:26):
But there you go.

Speaker 2 (01:34:27):
All right, We've got Bill Krachenberger, professional sports handicapper. Jeff Schwartz,

dollars back in bonus bets if you don't win your
first bet. Coming up next, some of the opinions are
not just bad, they're factually incorrect.

Speaker 6 (01:35:01):
We'll get to that.

Speaker 2 (01:35:02):
It's Fox Sports Radio's Countdown presented by BEDMGM. It is

club dot com slash Draft. Okay, we've entered Looney Tunes
territory over here. Where look, man, I listen, some people
go thumbs down on a Shadeur Sanders and when he
was drafted. I do not understand the venom from either

(01:35:44):
teams or fans. It's just a shocking amount of venom.
I don't know what he's done to tick you off
that much.

Speaker 6 (01:35:52):
But here's the thing. You don't have to like this guy,
but you gotta be accurate at some point.

Speaker 2 (01:35:57):
And some of the people in the pushback camp there's
just like Twitter is a cesspool of factually incorrect stuff,
like I'll get replies he's five eleven and fragile, Brian,
It's like, what he's not five eleven, He's.

Speaker 6 (01:36:11):
Far from fragile.

Speaker 2 (01:36:12):
Is the toughest guys in college football, partly because his
O line sucked and partly because he held onto the
ball too long. You can't say he's fragile. That's just
actually wrong. That's my thing is you can dislike him,
you can be you know, critical of him. There are
things to pick apart with his game, but don't just
be completely inaccurate.

Speaker 6 (01:36:32):
That's there's plenty.

Speaker 2 (01:36:34):
Of material there for you to be against them and
be accurate, but that don't make stuff up out of
thin air.

Speaker 6 (01:36:39):
That's totally wrong.

Speaker 3 (01:36:41):
Well, those people should be paid no attention to How
are we O? Just I honestly block up on social
media and move it along like they're not here for
any sort of discourse discussion. They just want to be
they want to be incorrect. But I think I'll go
back to sort of what I said about. You know,
why I think there's so much discussion around Sadr Sanders
is obviously there is a race component to it. Let's not,

(01:37:01):
let's not you know, b s about that. I mean
that that's part of it. But I do think as well,
you know, the hype around Colorado, uh, some people feel
is unwarranted, you know, and they're taking it out on
Shaudur and take it on Dion and it's a little
bit sometimes gross. I mean, I'll tell you what, guys,

(01:37:24):
that print call when you might not like should Sanders,
but that was that was very uncalled for, and then
to put it on social media. So for those who
missed it, Should Sanders got a print call at some
point on day two pretending to be NFL team and
end up being well, it looks like two old miss

(01:37:45):
frat dudes they called him and they recorded the whole
thing too, Like, come.

Speaker 5 (01:37:52):
On, this is moment.

Speaker 6 (01:37:54):
It's just getting drafted. He's got a party, like I
got a call.

Speaker 5 (01:37:57):
This is it.

Speaker 6 (01:37:58):
It's just super mean.

Speaker 3 (01:37:59):
Like in spirited for for no reason whatsoever. So I
mean that obviously is not the way you should roll.
But yeah, I mean he's such a lightning rod for opinions,
for for takes, for for whatnot. And then I see
that you know the other side, and I think this
is too. Like again, this is how it normally works,
where you know yours one side is is so aggressive

(01:38:20):
and the other side is aggressive back at it. I've
seen videos this morning from people that don't really follow
football about Standard's having to should sue the NFL, like
all this this is nonsense, Brian. So you know, like
that's also why there's a pushback in the direction when
you see people, you know, major, major, you know, important

(01:38:40):
talkers of sports talking about collusion and the fans are
never gonna forget this. Like it's just it's a it's
in both directions. It's way over the top.

Speaker 4 (01:38:51):
Do they realize that, you know, I've seen the video
they tape themselves that those guys the prank call. Do
they realize they're gonna get beat up?

Speaker 3 (01:39:00):
I bring bring back bullying, just like have someone bully them? Yeah,
I don't. I guess it's just it's just it's just
really it's really mean, man, Like you know, it's just
it's just mean spirited.

Speaker 5 (01:39:13):
The amount of.

Speaker 3 (01:39:16):
Yeah, those guys should just I hope someone Look, I
think karma gets people like that, and it'll get him.
It'll get him cracked, don't worry.

Speaker 5 (01:39:25):
Yeah, all right.

Speaker 4 (01:39:25):
So the first team that comes to mind, of course,
talking about our team screwed up the most is maybe
the Steelers. But you know, I guess if they know
Rogers is a lock, But I don't know, like Rogers
a lot, who knows why.

Speaker 3 (01:39:37):
Is he signed yet? Then if he's a lock.

Speaker 5 (01:39:38):
Right.

Speaker 3 (01:39:39):
That's my thing about Rogers, like you should.

Speaker 4 (01:39:40):
Have signed understand a little bit more. But Sanders can
make a lot of gms. Regret not drafting them. Saint
Seattle are two that really come to mind and needed
a quarterback and passed up on him, and uh, you know,
they'll probably wind up regretting if he ends up being
I don't want to say, a Hall of Fame quarterback already,
but a very good quarter back in the league. So

(01:40:01):
we'll see what happens here. But yeah, I think there
are some teams that are probably going to regret it
if he turns out being you know, the quarterback.

Speaker 2 (01:40:09):
So we'll see what you know, what my team, because listen,
it seems like the Steelers are going to get Rogers.
That's subject to change. It's certainly not a done deal.
But I look sideways at the Colts. I mean, how
do you pass? You passed on Shaduur multiple times, three
four times, and you've got Anthony Richardson completing less than

(01:40:29):
forty eight percent of his passes last season and eleven starts.
He's got numbers that rival Tim Tebow, and if he
doesn't make it, you've got Daniel Jones to fall back on,
and instead you draft Riley Leonard out of Notre Dame.
I'm from South Bend, shout out Irish, I bleed Irish football.
He's not going to be an NFL guy, sorry, Like

(01:40:51):
that's your planet quarterback. These these teams that have no
viable option for the now or the future at quarterback,
just clinging on the blind hope that what Anthony Richardson
can turn the corner. Or Justin Fields pans out with
the Jets, like what are you doing?

Speaker 6 (01:41:08):
Why don't you.

Speaker 2 (01:41:09):
Take a stab at this? And a lot of this
last thing is well, the distraction, the circus. This idea
that Dion Sanders is gonna devote like eighty percent of
his press conferences to what's going on with the Cleveland
Browns and Dore Sanders is ridiculous. And even if he
says things, so what deal with it? This is your

(01:41:31):
job as a GM or a head coach. You gotta
deal with the heat.

Speaker 6 (01:41:34):
This is the NFL.

Speaker 2 (01:41:35):
To cower away like, oh, there's gonna be a distraction.
You should get fired if you're cowering away from that.

Speaker 3 (01:41:41):
Well, they're not carrying away, they're just choosing not to
be involved in it, and I think that from the
distraction perspective. I mean, you know also too, Deon's got
friends in the media too. You know, if like you're
a coach or a GM and your quarterbacks playing bash
Jersey backup, people are gonna be talking about a major
that works to change and change the quarterback. So, I mean,

(01:42:02):
obviously there's there's heat and they chose. But here's here's
what it comes down to, right the NFL talent evaluators
did not think Sure's talent was good enough to override
their concerns about the things we're talking about Sure, Like,
that's what it comes down to in the end. If
they thought that wasn't a problem, they would have drafted them.
And so that's part of the discussion, right, Like they

(01:42:24):
just thought.

Speaker 2 (01:42:25):
That's My thing to Jeff is like, once we get
into the third round, the fourth round, we're into the
fifth round. Now, this guy is a projected first round
I know whether he pans out or not, time will tell.
I'm not telling you it walks on water. I'm telling you, yeah,
the potential to pan out. You're not going to take
a shot in the dark and the fourth or fifth round, Like,

(01:42:46):
come on.

Speaker 3 (01:42:47):
So that's what I So, this is what I sort
of wonder, like, what did the Colts have them on
their draft board? I made that wager with you, buddy.
That would have been an awesome hit for us. Yeah,
but why do they have them on the draft board?
Because that's also fair to maybe he was a third
round pick because of the off the field quote quote

(01:43:07):
issues are concerns. I just we don't know. But even then,
to all our points, even if he had in the
third round, that's good value We take him when you
could have.

Speaker 6 (01:43:19):
I yeah, that's a question.

Speaker 2 (01:43:21):
Well, especially if he turns out to play well in
the NFL. Well, we'll look back on this for years
if that's the case. But someone who is playing well
now and into the future, that would be Isaac lowand
front no questions about him, his durability, long term viability.

Speaker 6 (01:43:37):
He's got every box checked. Yeah, he's got the latest
for us. I love what's going on, buddy.

Speaker 8 (01:43:41):
Why thank you A beautiful introduction as always in a
beautiful night on Saturday. If you're a fan of the
Golden State Warriors, because in Game three of the NBA Playoffs,
they defeat of the Houston Rockets one four to ninety
three for a two games to one lead. Steph Curry
thirty six points, seven rebounds, nine assists. In Game four
of the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Saturday night, the Colorado

(01:44:02):
Avalanche defeated the Dallas Stars four nothing to tie the
series at two. The Ottawa Senators, in overtime, stayed alive
with a four to three victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Jake Sanderson the game winning goal in sudden depth, but
Toronto still leads the series three games to one. Baseball
Saturday night, au Haanio Suarez if the Arizona Diamondbacks hit
four home runs in a game against the Atlanta Braves,

(01:44:24):
but the Braves won the game eight to seven. Suarez
the nineteenth in Major League history to hit four home
runs in a game, but only the second to do
it when his team lost the other ironically, and Atlanta
Brave Bob Horner in nineteen eighty six against the Montreal Expos. Finally, guys.
One of the most exciting sporting events of the weekend
might have occurred in track and field in the historic

(01:44:47):
Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Philadelphia. In the one
hundred meters sprint for the age group of eighty years
old and up in a heavy rain, no less. Here's
how it sounded on Flow Sports with the crowd going wild.

Speaker 3 (01:45:05):
I was just gonna say they were holding their their
position better than tabla high schoolers.

Speaker 9 (01:45:10):
Wow down the track eighty and older, we have a
battle in the middle of the track, pre way turn
it out and hear the crowd at the penulays for
eighty year old twinters, we've been playing four Titi's Dominicks Dolato.

Speaker 3 (01:45:26):
I do believe it is sixteen oh two.

Speaker 1 (01:45:29):
That's right.

Speaker 8 (01:45:29):
The winner dominic Stillado eighty two years old a time
in the one hundred meters of sixteen point zero two seconds. Honestly,
wonder five rand the one hundred meters outside whether I
could do it in sixteen point zero two Back to
you guys.

Speaker 3 (01:45:45):
Forty meters could use for forty meters of that time?

Speaker 8 (01:45:49):
Probably I probably couldn't drive one hundred meters in la
in sixteen point two seconds.

Speaker 5 (01:45:56):
That's the challenge.

Speaker 3 (01:45:57):
Yeah, dropping the four five crack?

Speaker 5 (01:46:01):
Are you?

Speaker 3 (01:46:01):
Are you a derby guy?

Speaker 5 (01:46:02):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (01:46:42):
You got a crack?

Speaker 3 (01:46:44):
Are you a Are you a derby guy? That's next Saturday?

Speaker 2 (01:46:49):
Right?

Speaker 5 (01:46:49):
Are you gonna?

Speaker 3 (01:46:50):
Are you get down on the derby?

Speaker 5 (01:46:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:46:52):
I always wanted to be a jockey, to be honest
with you, But saying didn't the weight requirement for either
of us the horse across the finish line anyway, I
believe it or not. Our buddy Russ is inviting me
over to watch the Derby next week.

Speaker 5 (01:47:08):
I don't.

Speaker 6 (01:47:09):
Well, I'm in Vegas too, I haven't gotten aw I'd
be scared to watch.

Speaker 3 (01:47:14):
To watch with with he's gonna have too many wagers.

Speaker 5 (01:47:17):
But.

Speaker 6 (01:47:18):
Like you'll be a nervous wreck.

Speaker 3 (01:47:21):
I can't imagine. Yeah, no, it were very fun to be.

Speaker 4 (01:47:23):
With him, to see that buddy of mine got him
a couch over at the wind for one of the
for the Friday, I think, which is a big day
day before is also a big day at Churchill and
uh am I a derby guy?

Speaker 5 (01:47:36):
Well, listen, I'm not really a horse.

Speaker 4 (01:47:38):
Race guy because of the big giant takeouts, but I
will bet the matchups which if they have horse first
horse to finish in the better petition, there's some edges
in that horse first horses, I will bet them and
I may have a couple for you guys. But as

(01:47:58):
far as the takeout out of the races or you know,
twenty percent unlike sports which is four and a half
percent on a straight straight bet. Uh Situationally, though, there
is probably some value in the Derby and in these
races with you know, twenty horses that are in them,
and you know horses coming in from all different places
all over the world might be some value for people

(01:48:21):
that know a little bit more about horse racing, but
it's something I stay out of and just maybe pick
a have some fun and pick a favorite.

Speaker 5 (01:48:29):
Name or color or something.

Speaker 4 (01:48:31):
Yeah, yeah, color of the jockey, saddle, the saddle, what
do you Yeah, here's.

Speaker 3 (01:48:36):
What I do for the Derby. Guys. It's it's really
it's it's a it's a good way to do it.

Speaker 6 (01:48:40):
You bet on frisky horses.

Speaker 5 (01:48:42):
Right.

Speaker 3 (01:48:43):
Well, so Crack taught me the head had exact a
couple years. I have to write an article on how
to how to uh what to gamble on the Derby.
I had no idea, so I asked, I asked our
friend here, and he told me what to do. Actually,
it worked for the Derby, so I'll take it. But
about ten before it starts, when when my kids are
watching the horses come out right to get into the gate, Yeah,

(01:49:07):
I asked them to pick a horse. I put ten
dollars on the horse they pick, and that's how we
watch the Derby. Horse the horse that I don't tell
they're gonna win the money. I just tell I think
I keep the money. But nonetheless if they win, that's
what we do. We just let let my kids choose
the horse that they want to win, and I put
ten bucks on it. See what happens.

Speaker 6 (01:49:27):
You know, it's funny. I'll tell you a brief story.
My nephews.

Speaker 2 (01:49:30):
They're grown now, they're like, you know, in their twenties,
which blows my mind. But when they were really young,
I would say, uh, who do you think is gonna win?
The Angels are the blue Jays? They're tiny, they're like,
you know, four and two or whatever their ages were.
And they would always say, this, are the Angels blue?

Speaker 1 (01:49:49):
No?

Speaker 6 (01:49:49):
No, the Angels are red. Are the blue Jays blue? Yes?
The blue Jays are blue? Blue jays? And are you sure?

Speaker 2 (01:49:58):
Oh yeah, oh yeah, blue jays. And they were convinced
that was gonna be there.

Speaker 3 (01:50:02):
It's like one of those those animals that they have
pick like NFL sides and that gets like seventeen in
a row. Correct, correct, Just blind luck, you know it,
just this blind luck.

Speaker 2 (01:50:13):
Uh, let me let me throw some NBA at your
real fast. But our draft coverage at Fox Sports Radio
is brought to you by ship station Calm the chaos
with the shipping software that delivers. Use code Sports for
a free trial at shipstation dot com. At shipstation dot
com code Sports, it's a potential zigzag spot for you. Jeff,
your Lakers here. They need game four. They're down two

(01:50:35):
games to one, got smacked around. It was tied one
oh three apiece, and then the t Wolves pulled away.
What do you think about back in the Lakers here?

Speaker 3 (01:50:42):
I took the Lakers plus five and a half in
game last games. I knew I was gonna go to
sleep and not stay for the rest of the game,
and I I did that, and then I wake up
in the morning, I'm like, what the heck? The game
was within five and a half points for fifty minutes. Enough,
forty minutes, I was like, what's happening here? It was

(01:51:02):
actually probably longer. It's probably forty four minutes, and the
Lakers obviously got blown out the end. I mean to
must win, I just I don't feel great about it.
I think Luca, you know any sort of Luca numbers
say would be worth playing. I'll tell you this. I
did play this again today. Jackson Hayes Okay, their starting
center quotation starting center under five and a half points,

(01:51:24):
rebounds and assist. He's played nine minutes, nine minutes, eight
minutes in the three games. The most he's had a
one game is three for total point, rebounds assist. So
I played that under five and a half today again
for Jackson Hayes, I look, I think it's you bet
on the Lakers are nothing here, Brian, to be honest,
like that's probably the play. I don't think you back

(01:51:44):
the Timberwolves today. Must win game for the Lakers, and
Luca will play better. If Luca doesn't play good, they're
gonna lose again. So you're not probably getting thirty eight
from Lebron. That's probably not likely to happen today. But
I knew the Lakers probably take care of business and
if they don't win this one, they're trouble, right. I
thought the series once they lost Game one, I thought
that win game two, they win game four, Game five,

(01:52:05):
Minnesota wins Game six, and then go back to LA
for Game seven. That's what I've thought since Game one.

Speaker 4 (01:52:11):
Yeah, this is let's just call it. It's a must
win game for the Lakers. Luca needs to get over
this little flu here too for the Lakers to win
this one. If they if they can get a win
to down the road. I think they can win this series.

Speaker 5 (01:52:23):
Still.

Speaker 2 (01:52:25):
By the way, the Celtics are Game four. Celtics here, Jeff,
have ticked up just a little bit. They're favored by
seven and a half.

Speaker 3 (01:52:32):
Now, yeah, I've got six and a half. So I'm
gonna I'm gonna take it and run with it because
I just it's so obvious. I hate it.

Speaker 5 (01:52:39):
It is what it is.

Speaker 3 (01:52:40):
But I just think the Celtics today, I mean, could
could could they just not play well? Again?

Speaker 6 (01:52:48):
I guess it's possible.

Speaker 2 (01:52:50):
But that's the question is do you trust Orlando's role
players against the Celtics team that should be locked in defensively,
But the.

Speaker 3 (01:52:58):
Role players didn't even play well last game and the one.

Speaker 6 (01:53:01):
That's true, but look how low scoring that game was.

Speaker 3 (01:53:04):
I'm talking about that. It's a positive for Boston like that.
The role players for the Magic have not played well.
And yeah series, I mean case by the way, he
has three points all series.

Speaker 6 (01:53:13):
I think that's crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:53:15):
Tatum after Game three his quote, we just got stagnant.
We got to play with more pace and movement. That's
when we're at our best. Exactly. I don't understand the
Celtics offense at all, Buddy, dribble the ball into the
ground and move the ball.

Speaker 5 (01:53:34):
Man.

Speaker 6 (01:53:34):
They're too good to play offense like that. But we'll
see what happens today.

Rapid fire.

All right, crack, we start with you. What's something you like, Bud?

Speaker 5 (01:55:57):
Okay, let's go to the NBA market. Let's go to Tatum.

Speaker 4 (01:56:02):
Boston over points and rebounds over thirty five and a
half on the bed MGM mapp hate going over a
big number like that, but I think he gets there today.
Jason Tatum over points and rebounds over thirty five.

Speaker 6 (01:56:16):
And a half.

Speaker 3 (01:56:19):
One wager that I've made this year that has been
very profitable is fitting the Rockies pitching staff. The team
total over for their opponent has hit now in I
think four straight games, maybe five straight games. So I
like the red today over five and a half runs
against the Rockies.

Speaker 2 (01:56:41):
Okay, all right, zig zag theory, the approach and effect
over here. Give me Detroit basketball. Give me the Pistons
minus two and a half.

Speaker 6 (01:56:52):
I like that play.

Speaker 2 (01:56:54):
And if you want to live dangerously, Polo Bancaro has
been fantastic, but I expect Boston's defense to be a
lot better. Bet or today they're awful loss under twenty
nine and a half points. I think it makes some sense.
He's been in the thirties consistently throughout this series, but
his point total is ticked up from twenty four and
a half to twenty nine and a half from Game

(01:57:14):
one until now Game four.

Speaker 6 (01:57:16):
That's a big.

Speaker 2 (01:57:17):
Five points is a lot, So I'll take Paulo Bankero
under twenty nine and a half points.

Speaker 6 (01:57:22):
Let's get to Cracks play of the day. Let's do this.

Speaker 1 (01:57:27):
This is the best play of the day.

Speaker 6 (01:57:30):
Man, all right, crack? What is it for us?

Speaker 3 (01:57:32):
Man?

Speaker 4 (01:57:33):
BETMGM really the only one with this fantastic line? Here
Miami Boston College College baseball starting in eight minutes over
thirteen and a half minus a dollar fifteen? Right at, BETMGM,
Miami Boston College College baseball over thirteen and a half
starts in eight minutes.

Speaker 3 (01:57:54):
Look at you.

Speaker 6 (01:57:55):
I love the plays that you don't have to wait until,
like you know, night for.

Speaker 3 (01:58:00):
Born on Boston later tonight. So yeah, yeah, okay, I
like it. Crack.

Speaker 6 (01:58:09):
Hey, by the way, with the uh the I love that.

Speaker 2 (01:58:11):
With the four game fours in the NBA, all the
series are two to one, So how many series do
you think are gonna be three to one or tied
to two?

Speaker 6 (01:58:20):
After today?

Speaker 5 (01:58:21):
What do you have here?

Speaker 2 (01:58:22):
We got Nicks, Pistons, Lakers, Tea Wolves, Celtic's Magic, Pacers Bucks.

Speaker 3 (01:58:27):
I got uh two two in so basically taking the
Pistons to win, the Lakers to win, Boston to win,
and the Pacers to win. So two will be two two,
two will be three to one.

Speaker 6 (01:58:39):
Okay, what do you think they cracked? You concur with that?

Speaker 4 (01:58:43):
Yeah, you know, I think the Knicks Pistons, though, I
think it's a really fun old school matchup, has the
potential to go seven games. The Pacers Bucks series is
starting to get a little chippy. It's obviously these teams
really don't like each other. As you could see, Giannis
has h put all jokes aside. They really uh put
the Bucks you know on back at his back the

(01:59:04):
last game. So they're gonna need lower to step up today.
It should be fun. We've got some nice series coming today,
a nice Sunday, lots of sports going on, and uh
look forward to to talking to you guys next week.

Speaker 5 (01:59:15):
Should be fun.

Speaker 6 (01:59:17):
Yeah, I would go yeah, still a little bit.

Speaker 2 (01:59:22):
I'm gonna fire away in a second here. I'm I'm
with you on Pistons and Celtics. Jeff Man, this Pacers
Bucks game because That's the thing is both these teams
their defenses. You know, when you don't play great defense,
it's hard for me to feel great about you, especially
in a spot where you gotta win, like the Bucks
here the Lakers is a great zig zag opportunity for them.

Speaker 6 (01:59:46):
I agree.

Speaker 2 (01:59:47):
I think Luke is gonna play a lot better under
the weather last game. But maybe Luca plays better, but
Lebron plays worse. Lebron was fantastic game.

Speaker 5 (01:59:56):
Game.

Speaker 2 (01:59:56):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, looking forward to all any any Buck
you got your eye on puck.

Speaker 3 (02:00:01):
Over there, crack well like Carolina sixty minute line.

Speaker 5 (02:00:05):
There you go, just for the home team. Vegas just
making a.

Speaker 3 (02:00:08):
Big one yesterday, big one yesterday, No tea, I.

Speaker 2 (02:00:10):
Was big, big one goal at the end right there.
All right, very good, good stuff. All right, we got
the draft in, we got NBA playoff action in. All
good stuff. Enjoy the day.
