Oh, what is going on?
Speaker 5 (00:48):
Welcome in week thirteen of the NFL Rolling forward. Also
a lot of college football to react to, to look
forward to.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Man, I'll tell you what.
Speaker 5 (01:01):
At least in the NFL, dogs are barking four games
thus far, iright, three on Thanksgiving, one on Black Friday,
all underdogs covering, and all but one underdog winning outright.
How about that? So dogs barking big time. We'll see
if that trend continues. Good morning, Jeff, Good morning crack All.
Good with you guys, everything good, good morning.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
Oregon beat Washington yesterday and I cannot get enough of
the tweets, the bookmarks. There's a petty there's some petty
fans out there that save stuff, Brian uh oh. And
it has been a very very fun twelve hours as
an Oregon fan to see all the tweets about people
(01:43):
that dowed to Oregon, all the Washington fans that thought
our quarterbacks stunk in their quarterback was better, just the
little joys in my life. I have not been to
the Washington message board yet this morning. It will happen
at some point this morning. Yes, crack, I do frequent
every now and then colletural message boards. I am that
big of a freak sometimes when it comes to college football.
But but Brian, this Lane Kiffer thing is so embarrassing
(02:06):
for everyone involved. And it is if you're old, miss
tell him to get the freak out of the building,
lock the doors, and move it along. It is so
embarrassing right now. It's Lane Kiffin is going to LSU.
That is happening. Tell him to go f himself and
get get on. Tell him move it along, like he
doesn't want to be there anymore. Why are they doing
(02:28):
Why are they doing that? We want both way? He
wants to No, you took the job, You're no longer
a head coach. Go leave us alone. The fact they
haven't told him just to leave and be done with it.
Brian to me is utter incompetence. Like what he doesn't
want to be there anymore? Get him if I'm an
old miss player, why do I want this? Get him
(02:49):
out of the building. You don't want to be here anymore?
Get him out of here. I just to me, I
don't understand. I'm sure there's some politics involved here, and
there's but like names with me last night at a
meeting for five hours at his house over about what about? What?
What are you meaning about?
Speaker 5 (03:06):
It couldn't be anything, but you know, I mean if
if if Auburn pulls this out, I mean, how do
I not coach the SEC Championship game?
Speaker 4 (03:15):
Right?
Speaker 5 (03:15):
And then it's like, well, but Lane, you're going to LSU.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
I don't know what they're talking about it.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
I'd be different if like if he was going to
Penn State, Okay, like he's going to a rival in
the same conference as him, who he's gonna get this
job announced? And what's he gonna do. He's gonna call
every single recruit that he has committed to, Old Miss,
and he's gonna say, hey, come to LSU. Wall he's
(03:41):
coaching sc championship game, was coaching in a playoff? Berth,
How embarrassing is this? If you're old Miss? Brian, just
tell him to be gone. I've been through this with
Mario Crystabal. I like Mario's nothing. It's Mario. But like
as soon as you took to Miami, job by, you're
no longer Organ's coach. Go to Miami, like I just
I It's it's flabbergasting to me that we've gone this way.
(04:03):
Lane Kiffin has yet to coach in one conference championship game?
Why is he this way? This whale that like you
can't be without if you're LSU. And it also shows
you this coaching cycle is gonna be absolutely out of
control because there's not enough coaches for these jobs that
really are not and you're killing the board. Probably saved
his spot Alabama last night. Probably Brian right like, there's
(04:26):
not enough because it's not enough. And then of course
on top of that is they're absolutely going to screw
Miami and in the playoff, and I I just don't
know how to square that. Like, I know you're not
Dame Guy Brian, but like you're gonna get in over
Miami and you lost to them. I just I don't
know how you. I don't know how you you square that. Look,
I think Miami is playing good ball. Now is playing
(04:48):
good ball? I would, I mean, I think they're better
than Oklahoma, both of them. But it's just like this
SEC thing is kind of dominant to all of this.
So I know, cracks over here just like looking at
player props for the games, granting about how mechanical act right.
Speaker 4 (05:02):
Now, how fired up you are? Wow, which is just
it just dumb.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
I just saw another tweet like team meeting got moved
an hour like for what for what?
Speaker 4 (05:13):
Yeah, that's funny. I just see I see a forty
minute ago thing too. Yeah, I see. So they're that
this is going on for the last little looks like
twelve hour. I'm reading different tweets and stuff about this.
Is people have nothing to do. They're like the six
hundred and nineties responses in this one that I'm looking at. Wow,
people like going back and forth. That's why I'm surprised
(05:33):
you to go into those college football chats like won't
you go back and forth with everyone?
Speaker 6 (05:38):
Ye?
Speaker 3 (05:39):
No, I don't comment. I just look at Washington, you know.
I look at Washington fans crying about how bad their
team was yesterday. That's what I'm looking at. I don't know, No,
I like to see the tears of the Washington fans.
Speaker 5 (05:51):
There has to be so much bad logic though, you
know what I mean, that's amazing. That's like, like you
you hate watching a game, and someone's like, that's all
thing you hate that?
Speaker 4 (06:01):
Right?
Speaker 5 (06:02):
Like to me, the message spoords just seem like another
version of that for you, right yeah.
Speaker 3 (06:07):
But it's mostly just look at the at the Washington
fan teers. Yesterday, a buddy of mine, Michigan fan, invited
me to to out to to watch Michigan o House
State for a few minutes. So my wife and I
went out and met them at it and there's you know,
twenty five Michigan fans there and like first play I
saw and we got there like second quarter like was
like a eight yard out for Michigan. I was so
(06:29):
some playing and they're like in the fans like, yeah,
I turned This is why I hate being here.
Speaker 4 (06:34):
It's like it's just so tough.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
I'm like, I play. It's like it's it's it's a
it's a long game.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
That's like crack at the sports book.
Speaker 5 (06:42):
He said similar things, right first play, Yeah, let's get
in cracks, Like can I just get out of here?
Speaker 1 (06:47):
Can I get away from just like.
Speaker 3 (06:49):
It's just it's football is a long game, and college football,
especially the way teams come back. In the NFL, every
game's close when seven you know, within seven points, Like
there's I get fandom is what it is. But like
it's just if you just accept that that's the reality
of college football and then also accept the reality of
the NFL, it makes it a lot less tumultuous to
(07:13):
watch a game. If you just sort of expect it
to there'd be a crazy come back. College football NFL
games to be close. So but no, I do the
message boards cracked for the for the tiers of the
opposing fans.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
Oh I thought you were going back and forth with
the fan.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
No, no, no, no, no, I don't do that. But
college fotball again, the coaching carousel man is gonna be
so fascinating because you know, Lincoln Rolly's name is being
floated out there. Kill the boy's name is being flowed
out there, and there's just not enough coaches for these
open jobs. And the downstream effect of what Lane Kiffin's
gonna finally probably announced to do. And then Old Miss
(07:50):
are they going, you know some role who's the tu
Lane coach they're reporting he wants to maybe Old Miss
over all burn or Florida, And then what is Florida
did right? Florida probably has to hire a jed fish.
Like there's just so much happen. Meanwhile, I know Brian
and I are like, sweet, not our problem. But you
got Marcus Freeman probably for life, and Notre Dame IP
I got. I've got Dan Lanning. I got Dan Lanning.
Speaker 4 (08:09):
I don't.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
He's thirty four and two in his last three seasons.
He ain't going anywhere. Like it's just a good spot
to be in if you're if you were, we are, Brian,
we just get devoid all this mans. But the Lane
Kiffin thing again, like I he's an okay coach, Like
I don't. I don't get it.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
Yeah, what do you think about it?
Speaker 4 (08:27):
Is crack?
Speaker 5 (08:28):
I got some thoughts, but I want to I wanna
tag you in first.
Speaker 4 (08:31):
No, I just listen. I don't want to hear no
crying by anybody. This is this not not not meaning
Jeff meaning, I'm reading. I'm just reading. I'm reading this
tweet on that with this, with these responses, Oh my god,
I can't believe so much time goes into over this
Lane Kiffin thing. So I'm not as fired up as
(08:53):
Jeff at all. But however, I understand a little bit
more now, believe it or not. Though I understand these tweets,
I'm reading a little bit more here and Jeff talk
about this, and maybe you know understanding this a little
bit more, you know that this ultimatum. I'm reading this
one thing. This one guy said, this is an ultimatum,
And you know, all I'm saying is I'm not into that.
(09:15):
As much as I'm into the betting of the sports.
I don't care what goes on behind the scenes. I
don't care what the players do. I don't care what
happens off the field. They don't care about me. I
don't care about.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
They told me that, they told me correct, they care
about you, old mist players.
Speaker 4 (09:32):
Rock's tail says, let.
Speaker 5 (09:36):
Me let me throw this out there, Jeff, because I'm
curious what you think. I hear you on the Lane
Kiffin thing. My angle is a little bit different. What
I hate is how dumb college football is to have
the transfer portal window open between January tewond and January sixteenth.
That's the real issue. They moved it down to just
(09:57):
one opening, right, There's just one little opening for the
transfer portal all year long, and it's in the middle
of the college football playoff. That is so dumb to me,
and the ripple effects will get into But think about
the NFL. The NFL would never open free agency during
the NFL playoffs. That's just idiotic. You would want the
(10:19):
focus to be on the NFL playoffs, not Hey, Jalen
Phillips just signed a three year deal with the Bengals. Huh,
what does this do for their pass rush? The NFL
is like, we don't want you talking about them, We
want you focused on the divisional round, on Championship Sunday,
what have you. And so the way it works out
for Ole Miss and LSU, it's not a crime for
Lane Kiffin to take the LSU job. I think if
(10:41):
the transfer portal window was set somewhere out it's in
February it's somewhere beyond the college football playoff schedule, right
you could feasibly see Ole Miss say, you know what,
he gives us the best chance to win a championship.
We know you're going to LSU. But would make more
sense for them to say, yeah, finish it out, Lane,
(11:03):
you give us the best chance to win a championship.
I think that's better for the players to have the
best chance to win a championship. But the way it
is right now, Ole Miss can't have Lane Kiffen there
who's trying to steal all of all of their players.
They got to have the new guy in so they
have a chance to get these transfers. Otherwise they're gonna
be left out in the cold. And LSU is like, Lane,
(11:25):
we're giving you like one hundred million dollars and you're
not gonna be here during this window. You're gonna be there.
Run that bias again. That doesn't seem to add up.
So I hate the window where it is. It's terrible.
Speaker 3 (11:38):
So here's the only thing that I think makes it difficult,
Brian is is, believe it or not, the kids do
go to school and they have to transfer at a
certain time to go to school. And that's what makes
it hard, right, Like, you can make it just in
the summer, I guess, but then you know what impact
will you have on your team if you miss? If
you just show up in the summer like and you
(11:58):
miss like dot. That's why it sort of has to
be at least it's one window. Now, it was a
giant window. It was wide open. Now remember you can
enter the portal and not sign anywhere for a while,
but you have to enter during that time period. That's
why Brian, like the organ organ is a quarter school.
They start like again winter quarter January third, Like, they
got to get kids into school to be eligible to play.
(12:22):
And that's why the window has got to be when it.
Speaker 1 (12:24):
Is, there's like to be some way right there.
Speaker 3 (12:27):
I mean, you would have to basically, in my opinion,
you have to make it in the spring. It has
to be in the spring. It's just one portal window
in the spring. After spring practice in May, therefore you're
basically done for your season. But then again, how impactful
will transfer be if they just show up?
Speaker 1 (12:46):
I hear you first.
Speaker 5 (12:47):
I mean, maybe the solution is they've talked about moving
up the entire college football season, right you move it earlier,
like in August, and get things going to where your
playoff ends earlier, and then your transfer portal could could
happen right after that way better.
Speaker 3 (13:03):
I think they're gonna have to do that. They expand
the playoff because it's season to be two. It would
go till February, right, Mack, you be going, but you
know you're going to the NFL. I mean, like like
the it's just so, I mean you have players that
transfer and high school recruits that commit. High school recruiting,
by the way, for coming today is Wednesday, Brian, Like
(13:24):
this like this Wednesday is the is the first day
as a first window for for kids to commit. In writing,
I should say right like they've it's Wednesday. Like there
are players that show up portal and high school recruiting
that practice during bowl season. Now, like that's how which
is wild to me that players do that. They show
(13:47):
up and they just go right to practice, right to practice.
But that's that's sort of this this the way this
is going here. And look, look, I think from I
cover college football a lot, like the story lines of
the coaching cycle certainly gives us plenty of entertainment and
playing thing is to cover. But as someone who's been
through it before, Brian, you went through the same year
(14:08):
having Freeman and Landing, We're hired the same year, right, Like,
It's just it's such a drain emotionally and you're a
fan based like every three four five years coaches are
being poaching again. It's a business. I'm not saying that
they shouldn't leave, but is mentally exhausting. But being an
old miss fan right now, an LSU fan, a Florida fan, like,
it's just sure, it's a lot.
Speaker 1 (14:29):
Hey, I'll tell you about you.
Speaker 5 (14:30):
You hit on the Notre Dame Miami thing and just
just real quick on that. I thought we should hear
from Mario Christobal in Miami Hurricanes head coach, obviously campaigning
after the Canes beat Pitt yesterday, and this is what
he had to say on ABC for the.
Speaker 3 (14:44):
Selection committee watching today. What do you hope that they
saw out of Miami football?
Speaker 4 (14:49):
Complete dominance?
Speaker 6 (14:50):
You know, a team that just we've got great players
in all phases and we're playing great football in all phases.
And you know what, the best part about football, you
get to settle.
Speaker 4 (14:59):
It on the field.
Speaker 6 (15:00):
We're head to head is always the number one criteria
for anything regarding athletics and football.
Speaker 5 (15:07):
Look, man, Like, I'm a diehard Notre Dame fan. I
was born and raised in South Bend. But I would
be losing my mind if the resumes were exactly flip flopped,
you know what I mean? Like Notre Dame had the
head to head win and the committee has Miami ranked
ahead of Notre Dame, I'd be like, what are you
talking about right now? So fair is fair? I gotta
say the same thing. Based on what the resumes actually are,
(15:30):
Miami should be in over Notre Dame. And the thing
that drives me crazy is you'll hear these arguments quite
a bit, like, well, I mean, if Notre Dame faced
Miami on a neutral field right now, Notre Dame would win.
Notre Dame's a better team than Miami. I agree, I
think that would happen. But guess what we're wrong all
the time. We can't rank Miami or Notre Dame ahead
(15:52):
of Miami because of a hypothetical matchup and who we
think would win. We gotta go by who won on
an actual field when they did play each other head
to head. Like how many times I think back to
last year. I thought Ohio State was gonna crush Michigan.
Remember Ohio State was favored at home by three touchdowns.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
They lost.
Speaker 5 (16:13):
So the point is, just because you think something would
happen doesn't mean it will happen. You can't go ranking
teams based on hypotheticals like that. That's an argument for
Notre Dame that I think makes absolutely zero sense.
Speaker 4 (16:27):
So what do you guys think about the odds done
over at at MGM Miami Florida to make the College
Football Playoff? The no is minus fourteen to one, the
plus eight to one.
Speaker 1 (16:38):
That's great.
Speaker 3 (16:39):
They're just not They're just not going to make it
unless they would need I mean if, I mean, if
if Georgia beats Bama, maybe they leave Bama three loss
Bama outs.
Speaker 1 (16:48):
That's that's your only hope. Really, yeah, you really?
Speaker 3 (16:51):
I think you shouldn't count conforge championship games as when
they when teams lose as a reason they're out of
the playoffits in one extra game that they're playing no
one else's playing.
Speaker 5 (16:59):
And Miami did even make the ACC title game, right Oklahoma.
Speaker 3 (17:03):
Which is insane seven to five. Duke has made the
title game. I yeah, look, I Not Dame would beat
Miami now, but that's not the way it works. They played,
they played right, and if you're not going to count
those games, then why even play them right? And but
Miami looks like they're gonna be left out, which is
which is wrong.
Speaker 1 (17:21):
It's crazy.
Speaker 3 (17:22):
They needed Oklahoma to lose yesterday. They need Alabama to
lose yesterday. They were close, they were so close.
Speaker 5 (17:27):
Yeah, I mean, they'd probably both be And how fun
would it be if Notre Dame would play Miami in
the playoff that would be great.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
That's not gonna happen, that'd be That'd be awesome. I mean, dude,
it's so funny like Oregon to be fifth or six.
Probably I'm actually rooting for like no chaos next weekend,
so Orgon could be fifth because I just I don't
want to buy, like to get that.
Speaker 5 (17:47):
When zero chaos. That's this is the problem for Notre
Dame fans, right. If b yu wins the Big twelve Championship,
Notre Dame's out, there are enough spots like that they're
gonna get.
Speaker 3 (17:57):
Scat b Yu is the chaos is the chaos agent
next weekend. And I don't think they win though, But
they're the chaos agent next weekend, and and and yeah,
that that screws. But like Oregon sitting where we're gonna
we're gonna go to We're gonna go host either the
AC champion, which could be seven and five Duke, or
we're gonna we're gonna host TWU Lane without a head
(18:19):
coach in Oregon in three weeks.
Speaker 5 (18:21):
Man, Like, if the day worked out yesterday a certain way,
you know, if Oklahoma loses and they were just close
to lose, If Alabama loses and they were they were close, right,
they're going forward on fourth and two instead of kicking
the field goal that was gutsy by old Kaylin de
Bor right there. But if it shakes out a certain way,
Notre Dame is way safe and they're in the playoff
(18:45):
and they might be hosting a playoff game and it
goes a different way, and now they're on the chopping
block right now. BYU wins, they are out and that
is not a fun place to be. And and on
top of that, if this is for the very last
spot and I think Miami should be in over Notre Dame,
that whole part of it sucks. The only silver lining
(19:05):
would be if you watch Notre Dame late late, late
last night, they look angry, you know, that looks like
a football team who All they've heard for the last
couple of weeks is how Miami should be ranked ahead
of them, how they don't deserve to be in the playoff,
so that that could help them if they are to
get in. But man to hear all those arguments, which
I think are right, Miami should be in over them.
Speaker 3 (19:26):
Did you stay awake last night?
Speaker 1 (19:27):
Oh yeah, oh yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (19:29):
So it's so funny that like this is now a
thing where because of the new conference realignment to stuff
like this game was never that late at night ever
for Notre Dame. But because of the other, like you
have to East Coast fans are figuring out, like the
thing up for late for games is I've done it
many many years, and it is, buddy, it is hard.
You're like, halftime is the hardest halftime. You're like, well,
where you at? Where are you at now? Vegas?
Speaker 1 (19:51):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (19:51):
Oh it's easy for yeah, no, never, I'm live betting,
you know, Fresno State, San Jose State.
Speaker 1 (19:56):
You know, I was a great old time.
Speaker 3 (19:58):
I was I was fighting, I was trying to watch
anything you say the USC game like, I was like, oh, Carl,
like it doesn't it's hard on East Coast today. I
said this to my my parents are here today. I'm like,
I don't know how much ball. I ain't say away
tonight I'll tell you that I don't know how much
I can. I watched so much football the last four days,
(20:19):
and the games say aren't great.
Speaker 1 (20:22):
They really aren't, they really aren't.
Speaker 3 (20:24):
And and even if to find we gotta find five
for the Crack Challenge though, buddy, we got, we gotta
pick our That's the hard part now would be if
we did the Crack Challenge on Thursday, I would be
ohero and two already. So at least we get to
do I guess you get to take.
Speaker 5 (20:37):
Those moment how many weeks that's happened to me where
I'm like, well, at least that wasn't in the Crack Challenge.
Speaker 3 (20:44):
To uh if my chiefs once again would screw me,
but uh, I yeah, So at least we have to
pick five today and we got we got a weather
game today. Did you see a game of champagn yesterday
in Chicago? Like was no one allowed to be at
the game. I only let them drive like it was.
It was completely empty last night. Yeah, Northwestern and Illinois
(21:05):
played at home, so right outside Chicago for Illinois, and
I don't think fans are allowed to drive. There was
no one in the stands. I was kind of surprised
that no one braved the weather to watch Northwestern Illinois play.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
Yeah right, yeah, I know.
Speaker 5 (21:20):
It's one of those like I wouldn't go if you
were paying me to go, you know, that sort of thing.
But yeah, that was that was a wild scene. All right,
we're off and running. We've got Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper.

(23:37):
always throws up, throws in some slayer right there. Very nice,
very nice. We're letting our hair down here now we
were we're a little chatty, little chatty at the beginning
of the show. A lot of college football to dissect,
and I'm even making more notes as if you know,
there's gonna be a window to talk about it. So
we're a little late, So we're gonna go to Isaac
Lohenkron first and we'll get right to the NFL previews.
(23:59):
I Low, what is going on, buddy, what's the latest here?
Speaker 8 (24:02):
Lane Kiffen is going on back to you guys, that's
in true college football. Lane Kiffin fashion Fellas. There is
still no official resolution to his situation. He is expected
to leave ole Miss for LSU. Multiple outlets report that
the ole Miss team meeting that was scheduled to begin
(24:25):
half an hour ago has now been moved to one
pm Central Time, some three and a half hours from now. So,
since we're in limbo, Fellas, I took the liberty of
scrolling through Lane Kiffen's social media mentions and I've got
a couple to relay to you, all posted within the
(24:46):
last ten minutes that will hopefully offer some reasonable context
to this situation. At Reverend Brick tweeting to Kiffen, quote
hit the road, Jack, better pack some Jedi ninja bleep,
because you have no idea the cesspool you're about to enter.
(25:07):
There is no amount of money that filthy university, city
and state could pay me. Don't let the doorknob hit
you where the Good Lord split you unquote So a
religious reference from at Reverend Brick. Apparently, then we have
at reb since seventy one offering Kiffen is the husband
(25:28):
who has caught cheating parentheses with LSU. Trouble is that
they booked a cruise last year. She parentheses ole miss
wants it to work out, but he wants a divorce
for the new chick. However, he's decided he still wants
to go on the cruise with his soon to be x.
It don't work that way, unquotes at reb since seventh
(25:51):
one with his philosophy, and finally at Ed Oliver's s
R two one two eighty three, posting to Kevin simply
and I quote bleep you unquote kivin Wash twenty five
continues meanwhile, oh yeah. On the football field Saturday night,
number ten, Alabama won the iron Ball at Auburn twenty
(26:12):
seven to twenty. It'll be MANBA against Georgia in the
SEC Championship Game. Number eighteen Virginia beating Virginia Tech twenty
seven to seven to clinch a birth in the ACC
Title game. Cal upset number twenty one SMU thirty eight
to thirty five. That sends Duke to the ACC Title
Game against Virginia. Guys, I'm gonna go follow at Reverend
(26:33):
Brick back.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
To you, thank you.
Speaker 5 (26:35):
I lo it is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff,
presented by Bett MGM all right let's get to the previews.
We've got the Niners at the Browns and the forty
nine Ers are five point road favorites. Get this crack
you love this. The total is thirty five. NFL came
the total is thirty five, and hey, the under is live.
(26:56):
But one thing to consider here, forty nine Ers, they've
got had an eight and four record, but they way
too many turnovers for San Francisco. Here, they're thirtieth in
the league with eighteen giveaways this season. They're turning the
ball over a ton. They're not healthy enough to be
turning over the football this much. If they keep turning
it over, that's gonna catch up with them. Brock Perty
(27:17):
has seven interceptions in only four starts this season. That
is way too many. On the other side, Shadua Sanders
gets another start. This is an actual NFL defense with
the forty nine Ers, even though they're banged up. Don't
have the same pass rush, but much better than the
Raiders which he faced last week. I thought Sheder played
pretty well all things considered, so we'll see what he
(27:38):
has at home defense. His defense should be in great shape.
Miles Garrett is on another level. Fourteen sacks, in five games.
That's what that's insanity right there. So I would expect
this Browns defense to be a handful Schwartz. You know,
Jim Schwartz normally gives Kyle Shanahan fits. Yeah, so let's
(27:59):
see if if Shadur's playing with the lead or it
doesn't have to do too much, who knows. Man, the
Browns are their live dogs here with that defense at home.
Speaker 3 (28:09):
So if you decided to basically parlay like all the
quarterback unders in this game, I think you'd be okay.
I mean, you have a team in the Browns that,
even when things were good last week, didn't throw the
ball very much and then also did some of the
wildcat right last week in cert situations. The Niners in
(28:30):
this game, with the weather a warm weather team playing
in this they're gonna run the football right all the
short week as well. I don't think they're gonna try
to do too much and get too cute in this game.
And so I think both quarterbacks are really good. Sure,
I go back to Christian McCaffrey like he's gonna get
a ton of touches in this game. It's now I
was gonna give him a ball a ton in this game.
(28:50):
He had eight touches on the first drive on mynight
foot play, three receptions, five rushes, any of the McCaffrey
stuff I like in this game. I like the Browns
to cover this game because I think gonna be really
gross and ugly. I don't really know if they can
win the game, but this screams just like ten to seven. Again.
The snow is not problem. If it snows, it's supposed
(29:11):
to be freezing rain in the wind, the wind off
that lake is gonna whip and crack. I mean this total.
Actually got to this game too late this week, and
I saw thirty six and a half and I didn't
take it because it was opened up at like forty
and a half or forty one and a half something
like that. But I probably just done it anyways because
I think this is not gonna be a high scoring game.
Speaker 4 (29:30):
Yeah, this is an interesting one to start with. San
Franz look at to improve their playoff chances, Cleveland looking
to play that spoiler alert actually for the rest of
the season really, and also to see if Shador has
a place in the league. So it has all the
signs of being that low scoring grind of that game.
Like you said, the weather as a factor cold, windy,
(29:51):
and a chance of snow today over there, So it's
probably that's probably the lowest that I remember of a
total the whole season thirty five. So the Browns have
had terrible offense the whole season, but however, they've had
one of the best defenses, so only only one Cleveland
opponent has scored more than seventeen points against them at
(30:13):
home this year. The defense has has posted a fourteen
percent sackarting home, but it's also has been able to
stop the run, which will be key in this game.
It should be key again. This should be an ugly one,
probably not worth watching unless there's some snow and crazy weather,
which is always fun to watch a game like that.
(30:34):
But maybe some spots for player prop unders. I don't
even know if I sent you guys so many props.
I don't even know. I think I sent you the.
Speaker 3 (30:41):
Quarterbacks both yeah quacks early or tried to.
Speaker 4 (30:44):
Get down early. There was some value at bet MGM.
I don't know if it's still there. There was some
value last night on the quarterback under. I'm gonna check
real quick, because you know, whenever you could take I
know it doesn't look like a lot of yards. I
get it. The passing yards for Sanders, Yeah, there was
like under under one fifty and a half. What was
it under was like plus money yesterday, plus money yesterday.
(31:07):
People were taking this.
Speaker 3 (31:10):
He went over last week on a pass that was
negative three air yards. That's how Salmers went over. Yeah,
went the scrimmage. Yeah, pighline of scrimmage and it went
for sixty eight yards to the house. Crazy otherwise lost that, Yes,
that's how you lost it. Otherwise it would have been under.
It would have been easily under Brian. They weren't even
passed the ball down the field. You threw a swing
(31:30):
pass from minus three yards that went to the house.
So this game is going to be gross and ugly.
But this is you know, this is late November football.
This is what it is, and you have to build
your team. The Niners, in theory, build their offense around
being able to play in this game. Brian, right, but
they're a little beat up, as we know. Their offensive
line is not as good as they've been in the past.
But I trust them a little bit more in this
(31:51):
game to just have a plan for the weather and
to be able to mean Sanders is not playing a
game like this, right, Like this is just you know,
you maybe cool weather game Bento last season of Colorado,
I don't really remember, but this is a different basement
of this weather today.
Speaker 5 (32:06):
Yeah, and brock Purty hasn't been great in the elements consistently,
so something else to consider right there. Yeah, listen, it's
weird right normally this game, I'll put it this way,
if Dylan Gabriel we're starting, it'd be like shoulder shrug.
But with Shadur in there, it adds a lot more
interest to this matchup, is how is he gonna play?
(32:27):
The Niners are really interesting to me too, where they're
a team that has their strengths obviously, but they're so
banged up and going into a game at Cleveland, even
facing Shadur, You're like, I don't know, I don't know
about the Niners. So you know, it's a weird game,
but strangely interesting to me at least, So I like it.
Speaker 1 (32:47):
I like the matchup.
Speaker 5 (32:48):

Speaker 5 (33:59):
It is a special morning whenever you hear the Brazilian
heavy metal band Sepultura.
Speaker 1 (34:06):
Huh.
Speaker 5 (34:07):
How about Alex ty Shirt and his metal bag this morning?
I know, Jeff, I mean he goes to the you know,
the E. D. M Raves from time to time. He
loves him some good metal early on a Sunday morning, Right, Jeff,
that's I'm not putting words in your mouth, am I.
Speaker 3 (34:23):
You're saying things. You're saying things, saying saying. We agree
a lot on sports, especially on women's basketball a lot.
Speaker 1 (34:36):
Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 3 (34:38):
We we don't agree on music choices.
Speaker 4 (34:40):
Yeah, we are pretty there on music. That's that's too heavy.
That's too heavy for me. Even though I like I
like metal. I like some metal, but some.
Speaker 3 (34:49):
Of them I can see cracking his younger days throwing
bows in those.
Speaker 1 (34:53):
Oh crack you both. You both are made for the
mash pit?
Speaker 4 (34:56):
Are you kidding me? If I.
Speaker 5 (34:59):
Wouldn't, I wouldn't do anything in life but just go
from marshpit to marshpit.
Speaker 1 (35:03):
That's all I would do.
Speaker 4 (35:04):
Yeah, I mean, I've been to like Judas Priest Iron
Maiden into some conteence, but that's uh, And I kind
of stayed away from the marsh pits though. I wasn't
that heavy, but that that Slayer and what was the
last group.
Speaker 5 (35:15):
You just by the way, check this out, crack you
like this, you'd chat see the tribal s right there.
That is Sepulta right there. Wow, yeah, that's right, tribal
statues universe. I don't know what she was doing. She
was like doing her own thing. I don't know if
that was a cover or what, but man, she she
(35:37):
was into that, like literally death metal.
Speaker 1 (35:40):
But I had a guitar player next. It was crazy. Man,
that was wow.
Speaker 3 (35:47):
Was she was very uh and we found Brian's new
h right there this America right away. My heavy metal
is watching offensive line film on Sunday morning of college
in college of colleges that I have that I do
for the Joe Moore that that's my heavy metal, and
(36:08):
trying to pick winners for the U our parlay here
is also part of what I consider it to be
my heavy metal. Very nice for the platter, I think
quite simply, I'm sticking with with what works I could do.
Speaker 1 (36:22):
Juwan Johnson, well, let's do this first, though, Jeff.
Speaker 5 (36:24):
Let's get the fancy intro as we dive into the
parlay platter, let's do.
Speaker 2 (36:28):
This, check this out with parlay letter.
Speaker 1 (36:35):
All right now, it's official, now, okay, let's lay it honest.
Speaker 3 (36:38):
Could do Juwan Johnson over, which is a favorite of
mine when the Dolphins are playing and they are back
at action today, but I think Christian mccaffor over four
and a half receptions is the way to go today. Again,
he is the Niners offense. He has eighty one catches
this season, which seems insane crazy, and you know, this
is just sort of like what they have to be offensively.
(37:00):
And then you add in the weather today, you add
in the Browns defense. I think McCaffrey did a lot,
a lot of touches today. So I'll go over four
and a half receptions for Christian McCaffrey.
Speaker 4 (37:11):
Okay, all right now, I don't want to tell you something.
I was going to go under on party. However, I
don't want. I don't want. I don't want to do.
I'm going to probably give that out later on, but
I just don't want to give that out because it's
it's kind of hard to win both, you know, and
then lainly I.
Speaker 3 (37:29):
Just need I just need them to catch the catch
a couple of passes, I mean five five. If brock
Party was five for twenty four with only five catches
to McCaffrey, we will probably win both crack No.
Speaker 4 (37:39):
I get it. I get them. Let's let's for the
Parley planer though, let me go with uh, let's go
with Young Bryce Young under his passing yards. Let's see
under one ninety five and a half over on bet
MGNA one ninety five and a half. So uh yeah,
we'll go under on on Young's passing yards here. I
just don't want to be like, uh, you know this
(38:00):
correlated that, you know if you know what I'm saying, Like,
I just I just don't want to have something, to
have something that went we won last week. What was
the payout last week.
Speaker 1 (38:07):
Brian, Yeah, let me get it for you right here.
Speaker 4 (38:09):
It was.
Speaker 5 (38:09):
I was just looking at that thing. It was the
payout was plus four thirty eight, so almost four and
a half to one. That was Jeff had the Chief's
money line and they had to come back against the
Colts and squeak that one out. But we got there, right,
We got there, and that was a good play by
Jeff because they didn't cover the spread, But yeah, taking
the favorite.
Speaker 4 (38:30):
On the money line that did sure portion of the platter.
Speaker 5 (38:34):
Last week or this week. No, right now, okay, right now,
I'm looking at the Steelers game. I'm looking at Bill Steelers,
and I like the Steelers as a side, but I
don't want to push. You know, they're favored by three,
And I also like the under in this game. The
total is forty five and a half. That's what I'm
gonna go with. I'm gonna go with Bill Steelers under
forty five and a half for a couple of reasons.
(38:55):
You look at the Bills, both of their starting offensive
tackles are out. That's a big, big deal. Like the
Steelers rush the passer. The Bills are just gonna try
to run the ball. If they can run the ball,
they're gonna keep doing that and doing that, and that
just makes the clock go tick tick tick tick tick.
And if you look at the Steelers, you know Rogers
is back miss last week with that fractured wrist. Not
(39:16):
a prolific offense. So I think a lot of ways
you can get home. I like under forty five and
a half in that uh, in that Bills game, that
Bill's Steelers game, so that's what I'm gonna go with
a right, let me throw in the uh. I'll get
you the live odds for this week's parlay platter. Uh,
let's see completely that.
Speaker 3 (39:34):
I think with Buffalo's run defense, Pitts's gonna run the
ball bunch of that game too. You're just gonna get
a ton of You're a ton of rushes is what
you can get in that game.
Speaker 5 (39:41):
Absolutely, So the parlay today a little bit better payout
than last week. Right plus four to seventy nine. Nice,
I've got the under in the Bills Steelers game. Jeff
has Christian McCaffrey over four and a half receptions.
Speaker 1 (39:54):
You know, it's great.
Speaker 5 (39:54):
He's got a he's got a chance to have ten
like literally and almost any game he's got a chance
to have double did receptions. He's been huge out of
the backfield. And Crack has Bryce Young's under one ninety
five and a half passing yards.
Speaker 4 (40:06):
So there you go.
Speaker 5 (40:07):
Maybe we run it back back to back weeks. You
know what's crazy about the NFL? You were right, Crack
easily you had no a fan his under receiving yards
under twenty six and a half. Bengals tight end I
had the under in the Browns Raiders game, and it
was easily going over until the play that you mentioned
(40:29):
a little bit ago, Jeff, the little screen pass to
Dylan Samson who hit the gas at like Olympic sprinted
past everybody. You had to sweat it out at the end.
It was a crazy sweat barely got there.
Speaker 1 (40:40):
But but did we did?
Speaker 9 (40:42):
Never?
Speaker 5 (40:42):
Easy?
Speaker 4 (40:43):
Man, easy? All right?
Speaker 1 (40:44):
Coming up next?
Speaker 5 (40:45):
This team has been good, but man, they're having a
hard time closing out games.
Speaker 1 (40:48):
Is that going to bite them today as well?
Speaker 10 (40:50):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (40:51):
What is going on? Welcome in Happy Week.
Speaker 5 (40:53):
Thirteen to you as we get you set for a
day of NFL ball. Man, the ball buffet rolls on.
It has been football wall to wall from it has
been a beautiful, beautiful thing. We'll get to a team
that's having a hard time closing games out spend their
achilles heel a couple of times this season, hey. Throughout
(41:15):
the entire football season, bet MGM will offer all different
types of no sweat tokens and odds boost tokens. Be
on the lookout for no sweat same game parlay tokens,
parlay boost tokens, and so much more. By the way,
random note the juice is down a little bit, Jeff
with your Christian McCaffrey receptions prop right there, So the
juice moved a little bit, like in our favor, we
(41:36):
get a better payout. So now our parlay payout is
up to plus five oh three.
Speaker 3 (41:41):
Wow. That okay, here we go.
Speaker 5 (41:42):
And you would love this fun fact. That is the
area code of Portland, Oregon. And there is a weed
shop by the name of five oh Tree, which is, oh,
absolutely top shelf. I've never I'm saying the name. I've never,
you know, I don't know. I haven't sampled the tree
at five oh Tree. I would assume it's fantastic top
shelf with a name like that, how could it not be.
Speaker 1 (42:04):
But there you go.
Speaker 5 (42:05):
There's your fun facts for the day. I mean, if
I smoked, I would go there just on GP. I mean,
that's a general principle place to go.
Speaker 3 (42:13):
Just to say you've been there. The Isaac mentioned like
the coaching stuff. Quickly it's happening like fast down cause yeah,
we like guys you higher. Now I'll just cool shout out.
Ron Silverfield is my dude. I'm glad he got a
job there at Arkansas. My former offensive line coach with
the Vikings. So glad to see him get that SEC job.
(42:35):
Should be Uh so I want to see like your
friends get get you know, get get jobs in the industry.
Speaker 1 (42:40):
Absolutely, that's awesome, very good. Happy for you there.
Speaker 5 (42:43):
All right, let's go to the Texans at the Colts.
Colts are favored by three points total at forty four
and a half. To me, if you look at this
Colts team, very good season, much better than pretty much
everybody thought. Who was saying I got the Colts at
eight and three probably like the inside track to win
their division.
Speaker 1 (42:59):
No one will saying that.
Speaker 5 (43:00):
Nobody thought that, No Colts fans, that wasn't even on
their radar, you know. And here we are. But what's
happening with the Colts. They're having a tough time closing
out games. We've seen this a couple of times now.
We saw it last week against the Chiefs. The game
against the Chiefs feels like it was three weeks ago.
Speaker 1 (43:17):
Is that just me?
Speaker 5 (43:18):
It was literally one week ago? And the Colts they
were in a great spot to win that game. Would
they have like a twenty to nine lead, I believe it?
And they went three and out on their final four
possessions three and out like no first downs, man, So
they couldn't close that game out, and they blew a
game earlier in the season at the Rams. Think about that.
(43:39):
The Rams are the class of the NFL right now.
The Colts had that game too. You had a d Mitchell,
their former receiver, he's now with the Jets. He dropped
the ball before crossing the goal line.
Speaker 1 (43:51):
Remember that.
Speaker 5 (43:52):
Oh, and the couple of bad turnovers by Daniel Jones.
And then the next thing, you know, two to two
at Well catches a ball and goes like eighty yards
or whatever it was. I remember you had because that
was the week after the Rams didn't cover against the Eagles.
Remember that they had a last second field goal to
win it.
Speaker 1 (44:10):
It's blocked, it's returned for a touchdown.
Speaker 5 (44:13):
And I remember, Jeff, you had the Rams in that
game against the Colts.
Speaker 3 (44:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (44:19):
Yeah, And somehow somewhere they covered that. But that's the
thing with the Colts, man, Now, this is a growing trend.
You've got to be able to close games out, and
they've they've left a couple of wins on the field.
Speaker 3 (44:30):
To me, this is becoming a Daniel Jones problem, which
is why I never believed in them in the first place.
Teams are defense is starting to figure out. We think
Jonathan Taylor away, we saw like that's it for the offense.
I mean, think about the Chiefs game now. They they
wouldn't let Jones throw the ball without mass protection, without
(44:52):
a lot of help around him, and the Chiefs said,
you're not running the football, and Jones four straight three
and owns to end the game. Brian for the Colts
off yes, ye, and the Chiefs were like, we're trying
to They were trying to let them win the game.
The Chiefs were not playing well and the Colts could
not finish it out. And we're seeing now just the
limitations for Daniel Jones. But also he's playing with a
(45:13):
fractured leg. Yes, I I I fractured my leg before
also the other things to my ankle, so I just
wasn't just a fracture. It hurts. I don't know how
he's playing. Part of it is they just don't have
a good backup, which I mean, that's that's sometimes just
like part of football, you have to play through injury.
So I totally understand that, but they just they're to me.
(45:37):
Teams are saying Daniel Jones beat us he can't, which
I'm again I'm not that surprised with, but that's certainly
what's happening right now where they're just they're begging, they're
begging Jones to win the game for them and he
can't do it. And then uh crack, they're not running
the ball as well. They're just they're not the same team.
If if Jones is sort of the entire offense, and
(45:57):
I mean we're seeing that come to fuition now. And
with Jones, Jones' ability to move and use his legs
has always been a real benefit him. Well now he
has a broken leg. So like, how's he gonna how
is he gonna move the ball with a broken leg?
Speaker 4 (46:11):
Yeah, a big, big a f C South Division game today.
Speaker 6 (46:15):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (46:15):
And in the Texas six and five get their quarterback
back today Stroud Uh. From concussion protocol the Colts, Daniel
Jones has reportably been playing, like you said, a fractured fibula.
I think it is crazy.
Speaker 3 (46:29):
The non way bearing bone. I would I would imagine
non way bearing boone in your in your in your.
Speaker 4 (46:36):
Leg should be real tough for him today. You used
to maybe the most complete defense in the entire league.
So the Colts are obviously gonna need a sound running
game today behind Taylor. Uh, they like to mix in
a lot of play action with Jones, but the Texans
really really have been so good versus play action all year.
(46:56):
That's the Colts. It's gonna be a tough one there.
I don't know. The also has been great at home hockey.
You really can't say anything about them. They get a
quick early leads, but like Bryant said, they just can't
close a lot of times. And this total sits a
forty five would be surprised as ECO either way, I
could see like a twenty seventeen type game. Thirty one
to twenty eight should should be a good game though.
Speaker 5 (47:19):
Yeah, you've got the Colts number one scoring offense in
the league. How about that averaging thirty one points per game,
number number one scoring offense. Daniel Jones letof shout out
to him, man, he's revived his career. The Texans number
two scoring defense. Right, they're just a decimal point behind
the Rams. The Rams overtook them because they only gave
(47:40):
up seven points against the like the non Baker Mayfield
second half Tampa Bay Bucks. So Tampa has the number
one scoring defense, but Houston right there, right behind them,
just like point two points behind the Rams. So when
the Colts have the ball, it is strength versus strength.
That Texans defense is really really good, and that's the
question is can they protect Daniel Jones. I can't imagine
(48:04):
he's gonna be a threat to run the ball? Is
he gonna be a threat to extend plays? If Will
Anderson Junior, if the Neil Hunter can put pressure on him,
that is a real big problem for the Colts. So
we'll see how good the protection is or isn't in
that game with the Colts offensive line. How about Rams
at the Panthers, Rams favored by ten and a half
(48:26):
on the road, and man, that's a ton of points.
How about this this that blows my mind. So Rams
wide receiver Davonte Adams, he has twelve touchdown catches this season.
That's the most in the NFL. It's my favorite stat
of the entire week. Nine of his twelve receiving touchdowns
have been in goal to go situations like we're talking
to like, you know, from ten yards and in He's
(48:48):
got nine of his twelve touchdown catches that close it's like,
what a weapon this guy is in the red zone
where his releases are so good. Like Jeff, you did
a great job explaining when you're in the red zone,
you got to punch a hole in the defense right
with your offensive line, got to be able to run
the ball.
Speaker 1 (49:06):
There's not much room to operate.
Speaker 5 (49:08):
When you have a receiver like Devontae Adams who is
as hard to guard off the line of scrimmage as
he is and as big as he is right where
he just creates throwing windows. He's been such a weapon
for this Rams offense.
Speaker 3 (49:22):
He has been. And you know in the red zone
when you're that low in the red zone where a
lot of his touchdowns are at, it's one on one.
That's what it is. There's no safety. There's why. That's
why we talk about in the run game. The safeties
are close, right, they're not part and they're just running
Adams one on one like fades and outs and sort
(49:44):
of you know, not a corner route, but just a
little fade, a little a little toward the back pile
on type of throw. And it's it's been it's been
fun to see Matt Stafford's going to win the env
which is kind of crazy massed up about what interesting career,
what a really fascinating career Matt Stafford has had where
(50:08):
we all saw the potential Detroit and not often you
get an opportunity to go to the Rams, Like, like,
how how much would like have Dan Marino's career changed
if he had got an opportunity at the end to
go play for Sean McVay, Like, like, he's basically going
to be a Hall of Famer because he got traded.
Speaker 5 (50:29):
It was so sad what Stafford was thought of before
the Rams, Like he's throwing these crazy no look passes
his whole career. He's done this his whole career. But
it was like he had a losing record with the
Lions and and he people used to talk trash about Stafford.
He was always upper echelon and now he.
Speaker 3 (50:47):
Legend became a legend because of that trade with the
championship in Los Angeles. They're the thing I bet money
right now on one team in the NFL won a championship
Los Angeles Rams. And he's just become this this again,
this Hall of Fame player, which I don't think he
was ever gonna win all and he's gonna win the
MVP at thirty seven, which very few. I mean, Rogers
(51:09):
did it once. Lway might have done it another time
at thirty seven. Brady maybe or the Brady Rogers maybe
only two that won this MVP at thirty seven. And
he just keeps truckling on out. They played today. Look,
it's overcast here. There's gonna be forty seven fans at
the game today, and it's it's like.
Speaker 1 (51:31):
At the Illinois game.
Speaker 3 (51:33):
Yeah, you know, the Rams are favored by like ten
and a half. This is a really tough spot for Carolina.
I think Carolina is off a minor football game at
a long travel day back home. They lost a day
in preparation for Los Angeles. But the Rams, I mean
their effort level today, I don't I don't know. If
this is college football, you just bet the Panthers plus
(51:54):
ten and a half be done with it. I don't know.
This could be a pretty rough game for the Panthers.
We'll see how they bounce back after the nine Ers game.
But the Rams are rolling. Man. They have Look when
you say recipe for success, right quarterback, head coach, top
notch weapons at wide receiver, check the tight ends, check
offensive line good enough, and then defensive line right you
(52:14):
can rush the passer. You're just going to be in
every game. And I gave out, I think before the
season guys two sack props, which I love. Jared Verse
over seven and a half. He's got six so far.
And Nick Benito of the of the Broncos over nine
and a half. He's got nine and a half. So
those are those markets. I love those markets. Cracked the
sack numbers. Garrett's already over well and here since half
(52:36):
a sack away from being over. But he knows almost
over versus almost over. They don't price these markets correctly.
They continue to not do this, and so I'll continue
to bet on guys to have over their sack numbers.
Speaker 4 (52:49):
Yeah, Jeff, you bring up a really good point there,
and that's from being a player yourself in the NFL.
The point is traveling after a Monday night football, it's
pretty tough across the country. It's got to be pretty
tough on them, especially come off a big loss there.
You know this team has been bounced around, they weren't
expected to be any good, and they're they're already over
(53:11):
their season win total, and you know they beat Green
Bay and Green Bay the next week. They come home
after that unbelievable thirteen and a half fourteen point victory,
and they were underdog, but thirteen and a half fourteen
come home, and then Saints beat them one of the
worst teams in football at home in Charlotte, and then
they go into Atlanta and win an overtime game in Atlanta,
(53:35):
and then you know, go on the road there to
San France and and lose that game. It's it's gonna
be a tough spot for them. But I still no
way can lay double digits in the NFL, especially this year.
You know, we talk about parody in the league every year.
There's never been more. Every week someone is America's favorite team,
(53:56):
the Bills, the Chiefs. Early in the season. You know,
you go on and on the Eagles. So you had
to say two weeks ago, I had to say, well, again,
the Eagles are the easy shot to win the Super Bowl,
and they lose back to back weeks, I mean to
the Bears, which we haven't even talked about, Like, that's
just unbelievable. That was just an amazing I know, we
(54:17):
didn't recap any of the games on Thursday and Friday,
what happened there. But let me just give some comments
on this Rams game. They'll be at a spot later
in the show. I have some things to say about
the survivor polls here in town. But let's go to
the Rams. Carolina here. Rams again, like you guys said,
probably the hottest team in the NFL right now. And
(54:38):
you know what, early in this before the season started,
all the wise guys were betting against the Rams because
of the situation, the quarterback situation. Now you're talking about
the guy. Wow, And I didn't even realize how old
he Wasn't he did? You say?
Speaker 3 (54:55):
He was thirty seven? So this is the Rams crack
are such an interesting topic for what you just said,
because in like June and July, right, win totals come
out and you start previewing the season, and I'm like,
full speed ahead on the Rams. I was I bet
them to lose in the NFT Championship game already at
eight to one, Like I was like, they're going back there,
(55:16):
They're a good team, Like they're gonna all these things right,
And then Stafford's out for a month with a back injury,
and you're like, what was it intal? He wasn't practicing
like he couldn't, Like like every three days, it was
like Stafford's coming back today, set back, he can't do it.
He's gonna see a specialist, you know, walk into LA
(55:37):
and then he and then all of a sudden, like
even when he started the season, You're like, one one
hit to the back, that's it. He's done for the season,
right And and so either they were slow playing the
injury or maybe he got an injection, which is certainly
possible and feels better. Like I don't know what the
reason is, but I understand what everyone will go off
the Rams. I totally it.
Speaker 4 (55:56):
I did. I had Rams no playoffs, taking like one
seventy five. But based on that thing, and I was
it moved giant. But I had a good line. Doesn't
mean anything in the end. It's a losing ticket. But anyway,
like we said, the Rams, hottest team in the NFL,
riding a six game winning streak, currently number one seed
in the NFC. Like you said, Stafford, MVP Jesus, he
(56:16):
looks looks like anyway. Another big game last week, destroying
Tampa Bay thirty four to seven. The Panthers actually did
have a chance to jump in first place. Believe it
or not. With that NFC South game last week, but
again lost to the forty nine ers there Young Bryce
Young continues to be so inconsistent at quarterback. Last week
(56:38):
another one of his bad games. But Carolina is still
still surprisingly in the division and playoff hunt. With a
win today that would be a giant thing for them.
But it's a tough spot. Like Jeff said, going across
the coast there and also going back to the Rams,
they're really in control of their own fate for number
one seed, and by with Seattle and Sanfan up next
(56:58):
to them, they need to win this game to stay
in position for that number one seed. But you know, listen,
ten and a half point favorites, I can't. I can't
bet the favorite there, and I would never bet a
double digit favorite, especially this year in the NFL. We
just seen to seven and a half point favorites go down,
uh in the last seventy two hours, So uh, listen,
(57:21):
nothing would surprise me though any given Sunday, like I say,
any given NFL day.
Speaker 3 (57:26):
Would you would you even I know people are gonna
hate this question, crack, would you tease the Rams through
ten and seven or not? Even? No? No, just don't
even bother.
Speaker 4 (57:36):
No, unless it was nine and a half, then you
can go down through seven and three. I'm not I'm
never teasing anything.
Speaker 3 (57:44):
It's also like it's also like you have to one
twenty one, thirty one thirty five on that, Like, sir,
I can't.
Speaker 1 (57:52):
Start starting to scratch.
Speaker 4 (57:55):
I'm gonna I'm.
Speaker 3 (57:55):
Gonna, I'm gonna send crack up parlay. I'm gonna do
just just to see him, just his head and just like.
Speaker 4 (58:00):
Of course you are.
Speaker 3 (58:02):
I may have tried to parlay about every under I
could in that Browns Niners game.
Speaker 4 (58:06):
Oh guys, you remind me now the dentist. So now
I see him. I actually seen him the other day
at one of the casinos. I walk in and he's like, hey,
how you doing. I said, what's going on, buddy, I'm
going to the counter, and he waited for me. He
waited for me to leave the counter. I went to
the counter for some some reason on Thursday, early Thursday morning,
(58:30):
which I normally don't do. I bet on the apps,
but I went. I was there at the West Gate,
went to the counter and sure enough, the Dennis shows
me his ticket and he's like, what do you think Buddy,
I said, good luck. I'm rooting for your doc. Do
you know he had all four underdog parlay, not money line,
but all four underdogs. He hit four out of four.
I'm going to send you a copy of the ticket. Yeah,
(58:51):
I'm going to send you guys in the chat a
copy of the tickets. He's amazing, He's amazing. He won
all four.
Speaker 5 (58:58):
Good for him, man, that's actually a really good ticket
to have all four.
Speaker 10 (59:02):
You know.
Speaker 4 (59:03):
Wow, he had all four and he also did I'm wrong.
He sent me a two hundred dollars ticket Packers plus
one forty five Cowboys plus one sixty and the Bengals
plus three hundred, two hundred dollars to win five thousand.
Speaker 1 (59:16):
Wow. That's a great hit too. The Dennis touch of
fire and away. He's on a hot streak.
Speaker 4 (59:22):
Love this, Dennis.
Speaker 5 (59:23):
Last thing I would say to think about with this
Rams Panthers game is you talked about this a little
bit crack where you look at Bryce Young so inconsistent.
He was bad last week against the Niners. Didn't throw
from many yards, a couple of costly interceptions. One was
at the goal line. They had first and goal from
like the one or two yard line. He threw an
interception on first down. So I would expect the Panthers
(59:46):
to be very committed to the running game today, which
makes sense. It was just an ugly performance by Bryce
Young and also you got Stafford and that Rams offense
to deal with. Keep them on the sidelines, run the ball,
pound the rock. So I would expect the Panther is
to be very committed to the run game today.
Speaker 3 (01:00:03):
The final standings are out, by the way for the
Culturaball contest. I finished thirty ninth. It's pretty good.
Speaker 1 (01:00:10):
Out of how many eleven hundred? Oh gosh, that's really good.
Speaker 4 (01:00:14):
That's really good.
Speaker 3 (01:00:16):
Yeah, I'm like college football man. Out of one eighty,
who gets paid for that?
Speaker 1 (01:00:22):
How many spots?
Speaker 3 (01:00:23):
So the top looks like the top I think the
top ten get paid. There was an outright winner won
by three points gets two hundred and sixteen thousand.
Speaker 4 (01:00:32):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (01:00:33):
Second gets oneh eight.
Speaker 1 (01:00:34):
You get nothing for thirty ninth.
Speaker 4 (01:00:36):
Nothing.
Speaker 3 (01:00:37):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (01:00:38):
I'm just thinking if this is a card tournament with
that many people like, you're definitely getting right.
Speaker 3 (01:00:42):
Yeah, fifty five and forty one.
Speaker 1 (01:00:45):
Wow, man, that's so you've recovered, right, Jeff?
Speaker 4 (01:00:49):
Why are you doing bad? And you recovering.
Speaker 3 (01:00:51):
I had a bad last week. I was two and five.
I went six and one yesterday. So in USC didn't
cover by like two points. They played terribly in the
first half. But uh, that's a pretty problem. Surprime myself.
That's dude, that's my first year contest in Vegas, that
kind of college football. It's to me, it's just easy.
If I I'm the reverse, if we had standings for
a crack challenge, I'd be the very bottom of this list.
(01:01:12):
So there's just no like, it's just like, what's the CD.
We'll pull the crackdowns later. My record, I don't know.
I'm at least nine or ten hundred, five hundred, So.
Speaker 1 (01:01:22):
I don't think it's not bad.
Speaker 5 (01:01:23):
If you've recovered a little bit, you've gotten closer to
five hundred, so your engine there, you're getting there. Yeah,
I'm mentioned closer back the other way. I'm mentioning backwards
toward five hundred. I got to get on the right

All right, we welcome in our good friend, Christian Cipolini,
Senior trading manager at BETMGM. You know, before we get

more important. Do you go with my heavy metal Christian,
or do you go with Jeff's E d M? If
you had to choose, which asle are you shopping in?
Speaker 1 (01:03:15):
If you will?
Speaker 10 (01:03:17):
Those are not my two aisles that I would normally
would ever shop in. But I guess I'll I guess
I'll lead the E d M.
Speaker 3 (01:03:28):
But it's not there we go, there we go?
Speaker 1 (01:03:34):
Maybe Christian d M. Sipolini, I don't know work working
title right here?
Speaker 10 (01:03:40):
All right?
Speaker 1 (01:03:41):
All right, Christian? Put it this way.
Speaker 5 (01:03:43):
What would make vet MGM bust out the glove sticks today?
Speaker 4 (01:03:48):
Huh?
Speaker 6 (01:03:48):
Like?
Speaker 1 (01:03:48):
What are a couple of results that would be great
for you guys?
Speaker 2 (01:03:52):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (01:03:53):
The number one, I got three games on this slate
today that that definitely are highlighted for the book. That
the book will need the one and the biggest one
is a little bit surprising to me. It's the Cardinals
versus the Bucks. That's the one game on the slate.
We have eighty percent of the action going towards the Buccaneers.
I thought, with a bunch of the injuries and the
Cardinals have been playing a lot better with perssett I
(01:04:14):
was pretty shocked to see that. And you know, we
did open this last Sunday before Baker got hurt. It's
Bucks minutu six. We're down to three and a half now,
so the line has gone towards the Cardinals and still
taking most of the action towards the Bucks. So that's
one of the big ones. Of course, pretty much every
week the book's written for the Titans. That continues into
(01:04:35):
this week as well. And then the other one is
Seahawks Vikings. We've about seventy five percent of the action
coming in on the Seahawks Vikings. That line was eight
and a half up to eleven and a half now
with Brosmer but not taking a lot of Vikings money
this week so far. So those are the three that
the book is looking the most at this week.
Speaker 3 (01:04:56):
A big pick for your question, where you seeing future
wagers go to win the Super Bowl. It feels like
there's just not a lot of great teams to wager
right now, people still wagering in that market, and who
are those teams that are wagering on?
Speaker 4 (01:05:13):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (01:05:13):
Right this this season is getting very interesting because it
doesn't really feel like you have a team maybe outside
the Rams. The Rams are the one team that you
would say is like, you know, pretty clearly really good,
and the rest, you know, all have pretty big flaws
that you're seeing. So the Rams are a team that
have taken a lot of action over the past couple
of weeks. The Packers are actually another one recently that
(01:05:36):
have been taking more and more action, I guess as
they've been getting more comfortable beating the Lions this week.
The Bills are still our most bet on team, but
their odds keeps kind of just slowly slipping each week.
So maybe this is more of a get right for him.
Speaker 4 (01:05:50):
From from the books.
Speaker 10 (01:05:51):
Perspective, it's actually a very good thing for us because
there's just a lot of parody which gets bets on
all different teams. So, you know, preseason, we didn't take
a lot of day streets bets. Now we're starting to
take more of those. Preseason, we didn't take any Seahawks bets.
We're starting to take more of those, so it's even
in the book out a little bit. But also that
just makes it so there's a lot of potential teams
that could win the Super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (01:06:13):
Christian Thursday Friday of this week how to be one
of the biggest Thursday Fridays for sportsbooks nationwide worldwide. I'm
guessing that was the same thing for you guys, real
big day.
Speaker 10 (01:06:26):
Yeah, yeah, it was. You know, the first two games
of that Thursday, the underdogs winning was big for the book,
and then Friday was another good outcome. So yeah, you
know Thanksgiving days to day where we got a ton
of handle on you know, those specific games. So it's
always important for the book to get those ones right,
and we're fortunate this week.
Speaker 4 (01:06:47):
Do you expect now people to be betting more? Expect
a big volume day today, even though it's a shorter card.
People trying to get back there Thanksgiving money. What do
you think?
Speaker 10 (01:06:58):
I actually kind of think might be one of our
least bet Sundays of this late, just because of there's
really not a ton of good matchups out here, and
even looking into Sunday night and Monday Monday night. It's
a couple of week matchups out there. So we'll see,
we'll see if you know, there was a long week
(01:07:18):
of football. We'll see if people just want to continue
on betting it. But I do kind of project this
probably will be, you know, one of our lower handle weeks.
Speaker 5 (01:07:26):
Yeah, and crag betters never chase their losses anyway, right, like.
Speaker 11 (01:07:30):
Nore, Yeah, Christian, how about you know you mentioned the
Titans needing them again today and they've helped you out
as of late, and so with that in mind, is
that a great example of a team that's either like,
is there a team that's helped you out consistently throughout
the season or as of late?
Speaker 5 (01:07:51):
And also is there a team that's hurt you consistently
at least as of late or maybe throughout the season
that you can think of?
Speaker 10 (01:07:59):
Yeah, I know, the one team that's that hurt has
hurt us a lot has been the Raiders. And maybe
I'm just speaking a little bit of recency buys. You know,
they had a primetime game where you know, they really
didn't show up at all, you know, this primetime game,
especially a team that's you know, constantly in primetime games
that that's not winning or covering. Those are the ones
that will tend to really hurt the book a ton.
(01:08:21):
One are the better teams this year, a few of them.
It's usually more of the surprising teams and then end
up better for the book. So the Panthers have been one,
for example, have been pretty good for the book. You know,
they'll they'll tend to cover a lot. Early in the season,
the Colts were becoming a great team for the book.
It'll probably a little bit less so now that now
they're starting to become more bigger favorites and taking more bets.
(01:08:44):
And then the Seahawks are another team that, especially early
on in the season, was pretty good to the book.
Speaker 3 (01:08:50):
I'm curious where you guys stay on the Chiefs right now.
I don't think they're a playoff team. I said this
before they played the Colts. Brian could back me up,
cracking back me up. I just after the Broncos lost.
I didn't think they're a playoff team. They squeak by
the Colts, they lose what they play again, Dallas on
they are a good team. I don't know if they're
gonna win against Houston they can't. They have three offensive
(01:09:12):
linemen out right now, probably not great against Houston. Are
you seeing people still take Kansas City to make the playoffs,
to win a playoff game, to make the Super Bowl?
Where's your action with the Chiefs right now?
Speaker 10 (01:09:27):
Yeah, all your points there are definitely very correct. And
it's there's still just this blindness of Patrick Mahomes and
the Chiefs, and it's like, oh, of course they're gonna
end up there because over the last half decade, you know,
we've they've always been there, and you know, they always
find a way and a lot of the best we're seeing,
(01:09:47):
you know right now. Right another, odds to make the
playoffs are about fifty to fifty. They're slightly over fifty
to fifty. And we are still taking Chiefs to make
the playoffs because this is the best odds you've ever
gotten on the Chiefs to make the playoffs in recent memory.
But yeah, well, while we're still taking this, I do
think it's a lot of just uh nostalgia and more
(01:10:07):
not based on uh any sort of looking at their
schedule and these they should win these games. It's just
more that they seem to have this black magic that
they'll get there no matter what. So we are still
seeing that with the.
Speaker 4 (01:10:19):
Bets Christian next next weekend, the all the championship games,
Big Ten Championship, SEC MAC, go on and on, any
any big action on them right now or any actual
futures that you're uh that that you're fading in college
football for these big you know, the end of the
season games here.
Speaker 10 (01:10:42):
Yeah, it's so really early for for the the game
this week, yeah, yeah, right, yeah, so they're just starting
to come out.
Speaker 4 (01:10:52):
Are you expecting big volume on them though? Like do
you think like a Georgia Alabama or even our Indiana
House State, Well, will you get is that like a
Monday and Monday night type of volume that you get
on those games?
Speaker 10 (01:11:04):
Yeah, George Alabama should be because I think that's just,
you know, historically a great matchup of fans, a ton
of the teams, everyone's kind of aware of them. That
will probably be one of the even though you do
have number one verse number two, there's a chance that
one will end up being you know, one of the
bigger games. And then of course Ohio State is going
to be a big one. But you know, I don't
(01:11:26):
know how much you know, if a casual who has
been watching a ton of the college football season isn't
gonna see Indiana as this team. So I'm not so
sure sure much that will go. You know, people have
been falling college football, obviously well aware that you know,
they've been fantastic all season long. So we'll see what
ends up having there. From the futures perspective of the book,
(01:11:47):
we're actually okay on most outcomes, but you know, we'd
like to avoid Ohio State just because they the team
that's been the most set on.
Speaker 3 (01:11:54):
I think if you were come on next Saturday and
Brian would ask you if the question starts with every
time he says what are the books rooting for, you're
gonna be like, give me Indiana plus six and a
half percent of wagers are in Ohio State, right. You
know this number was three and a half a month
ago too, by the way, and some look aheads and
now it can be six six and a half. I
don't think it hits seventh. I think the buyback of
(01:12:16):
Indiana will be a mens at seven. But you're gonna,
I think you're gonna begging for Indiana money comes Saturday.
I can't imagine, as you mentioned, like casual sort of
look at that number, Ohio state six and a half
Indiana by a touchdown, how hard is Yeah, I give
you Indiana six and a half. Man, I'll take Indiana
in that spot absolutely.
Speaker 10 (01:12:33):
Yeah, yeah, younail that. I can almost guarantee the Shamus
they'll tell you next Saturday exactly what you're saying.
Speaker 5 (01:12:41):
So just as long as Notre Dame is in the playoff,
and you can need Notre Dame or need there, but
I don't care, Christian. Just as long as the Irish
sneak in somehow, some way, I'll be fine with that.
But always good catching up with you, buddy. I hope
you have a good day. We'll catch it.
Speaker 2 (01:12:56):
Soon, of course.
Speaker 4 (01:12:57):
Like everybody this Sunday, thank.
Speaker 5 (01:12:59):
You very it's Christen Sippolini bet MGM, Senior trading manager.
Speaker 1 (01:13:03):
Great stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:13:03):
All right.
Speaker 5 (01:13:04):
We go from him to another heavy hitter by the
name of I Low. That's his gangster name. He goes
by the government name of isaaclohen Cron.
Speaker 1 (01:13:13):
What is going on?
Speaker 4 (01:13:13):
I Low?
Speaker 8 (01:13:14):
Yeah, So the notorious Ilo straight out of Irvine anyway.
Nothing has been officially announced yet, but Lane Kiffin is
still very much expected to leave Ole miss for LSU
multiple outlets reported the ole Miss team meeting that had
been scheduled to begin an hour and a half ago,
(01:13:36):
was moved to one pm Central Time, which is two
and a half hours from now. And Yahoo Sports has
just reported this tidbit quote a postponement of the team
meeting is related to the university's attempt to retain staff
for the college football playoff run. There is now doubt
(01:13:57):
that Lane Kiffin will be in a ten at the
team meeting, as his scheduled travel to Louisiana overlaps unquote. Again,
that's just reported by Yahoo Sports. And I don't mean
to stir things up, but if I'm not mistaken, lane
kifven is not flying commercial to LSU. It's a private plane,
(01:14:20):
so can't the plane wait for I'm just I'm just
saying now for reasonable measured context to that report, Let's
check the comments section below. At Roland wit durebs post
end quote that that little bleep can't even look the
players in their eyes, at nof Glazer commenting quote, wow,
(01:14:46):
what a bleephead, And finally at blue Z two comment
and quote, Something's never change. It's all about his sorry
bleep and has always been a leopard doesn't change in
it's spot. Lane is the same piece of bleep he's
always been. Unquote. I think the gentleman meant a leopard
(01:15:07):
doesn't change its spots, not its spot. But I'll give
him the benefit of the doubt. However, coaching carousel is
in full swing elsewhere. Florida hiring Two Lane's John Sumrawl
it is his new head coach, Arkansas hiring Memphis is
Ryan Silverfield as its new head coach, Auburn hiring South
Florida's Alex Golash as its new head coach. NFL Colts
(01:15:30):
tight end Tyler Warren is active today against the Texans.
Baker Mayfield and Bucky Irving are both active for the
Tampa Bay Buccaneers against Arizona. Jacksonville defensive lineman Eric Armstead
inactive for their game at Tennessee because of a hand injury. Guys,
back to you, Thank you.
Speaker 3 (01:15:47):
I Loo it is.
Speaker 5 (01:15:48):

This line Kiffin thing, old miss, tell him to get
out of your building and go to Louisiana. If you
if you're listening to me right now, I will do
it for you. I don't have I used to have
Lene's number. Way it's a long story. I'll find it
in my phone. Maybe I might still have it from
eight years ago when I covered an Fau Charlotte game.
(01:16:38):
I will tell him personally for you. There you go,
get out of the building. Why still? Why is there
still meetings? He's taking LSU job. Tell him goodbye, give

it up, like, come on, sack up, man, he's gone
(01:16:59):

Speaker 4 (01:17:02):
All right.
Speaker 5 (01:17:02):
We've got a Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper. We've got

Speaker 1 (01:17:10):

Speaker 3 (01:17:11):
Shameful man and embarrassing for them.
Speaker 5 (01:17:14):
I'm Brian Noough coming up next. Prop it up the

Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by Bett MGM.
And it is time not just to grab your glow
sticks right there, and it's time for the tire rack
(01:17:35):
play of the day.
Speaker 9 (01:17:36):
Saying to throw from the forty steps up and shoots
out one deep down the middle of field. Carnal Tate,
He's got into the five and into the end zone,
goes carnal Tate fifty yards through the air. Julian's saying
to carnal Tate his eighth touchdown catch of the year.
Speaker 4 (01:17:52):
And it's twenty three to nine Ohio State.
Speaker 1 (01:17:55):
There you go, that's Paul Keels from lear Field. Shout
out to him. It's got some golden pipes over there,
that Paul Keels.
Speaker 4 (01:18:02):
You kidding me?
Speaker 5 (01:18:03):
As Ohio State took down Michigan to erase that four
year losing streak to the team up North. For over
forty years, tire rack has been helping customers find the
right tires for how, what and where they drive, shipped
fast and free back by free road hazard protection with
convenient installation options like mobile tire installation tire rack dot Com.
(01:18:25):
The way tire buying should be. All right, we go
straight into.
Speaker 2 (01:18:29):
This drop it up player plays Ah.
Speaker 1 (01:18:35):
Yes, the prop betting waters over here. Crack. I know
you do a cannon ball into these waters. What do
you have for us today?
Speaker 4 (01:18:42):
All right, let's go with that rock party. I was
going to put that earlier in a platter. Well, let's
go right here, rock party under one ninety nine and
a half yards again, going with the weather here. I
like both quarterbacks on there, actually, but it may be
pretty a hair more pretty under one ninety nine and
a half ashing yards.
Speaker 3 (01:19:04):
I Uh, the one I like the most is actually
not up right now. I bet MGM, which is Juwan Johnson.
Speaker 4 (01:19:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:19:11):
That kind of weird, isn't it.
Speaker 4 (01:19:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:19:12):
That was forty three and a half, right, Brian, we
talked about earlier when you sent me the screenshot of
the of the prop being up. So I don't know
if it's downright all with people.
Speaker 4 (01:19:22):
It'll go back up. Yeah, they're they're up and down
with a lot of proper yep. I like.
Speaker 3 (01:19:26):
I like Johnson the tight end over. Also Blake Korum
over thirty two and a half rushing yards today for
the Rams back up running back I think gets a
lot of running this game. That's the Panthers today. So
I liked. I liked those two plus the the CMC
over receptions.
Speaker 5 (01:19:40):
Ah yeah, absolutely, there you go. I'm gonna go with
Aaron Rodgers. I'm gonna go under thirty one and a
half passing attempts. I just don't see him just throwing
it all over the place today. And then also the
Bills they allowed the fewest passed attempts in the league,
so the rush defense sucks. So a lot of teams
just run the ball on them, you know. So I
(01:20:01):
would expect not like a ton of passing attempts from
Aaron Rodgers today. So I'll take the under. There there
we go, all right, coming up next more previews. We
roll on with that with arguably the best matchup left
in Week thirteen.
Speaker 1 (01:20:14):
Oh what is going on?
Speaker 5 (01:20:16):
Happy Week thirteen to you as we get you all
set for a full slate of games, very fired up.
We will get to what I think is the best
game left in week thirteen. Jeff said it not the
sexiest matchups right here. We're not gonna, you know, sell
you some broken goods or anything like. It's just not
(01:20:37):
a great remaining slate, but some interesting numbers here. There's
some interesting games contests. Of course, the betting angles makes
anything more interesting. But Bills at the Steelers, I think
that's the best remaining matchup. Whether it's the best game
or not, time will tell, but I think it's the
best matchup heading in where Buffalo seven and four, they're
(01:20:57):
what three and four in their last seven games, and
the Steelers they've dropped a couple recently as well, So
Buffalo seven and four, Steelers six and five. I mean,
it's a big game for the Steelers at home. You
look at the Ravens losing on Thanksgiving, so the Steelers
would be a one game up on the Ravens and
(01:21:18):
they play him next week. They still play the Ravens
twice this season, so it's a big game for both teams.
But I think it's a bigger game for the Steelers.
The Steelers they have a legit shot to win the division.
That's a big deal. If you can do that, no
worse are you going to be than a four seed?
As a big deal, get a home game, which is
a joke, but that's the way it's set up. So
(01:21:39):
I think it's a bigger game for the Steelers and
the Bills without both starting offensive tackles, no Dion Dawkins,
no Spencer Brown. Josh Allen was sacked a career high
eight times last week against the Houston Texans. I just
have you know, we all remember Mahomes running for his
life in Super Bowl fifty five as both of his
offensive tackles were missing that game. I mean, the Steelers
(01:22:01):
have a good pass rush. You could see Josh Allen
running for his life consistently today against Pittsburgh.
Speaker 3 (01:22:07):
You could. Yeah. Look, Pittsburgh is just sort of inconsistent
this year, right. You know they have weeks where the
defense is really good, and defense last week was atrocious
in Chicago. You know it's against the Colts. They for
six turnovers. They've just been very uneven all season. And
what defense do we get today? Do we get the
Steelers voodoo magic today that we've had in games or
(01:22:30):
do we get the bad defense now? Of course, as
you mentioned, the Bills are without both their tackles and
and look, Specer Brown hurt himself I believe last week,
but was dealing with some injuries. Deon Dawkins hasn't been
great this year, but still after a performance against Houston
not good.
Speaker 4 (01:22:45):
Now.
Speaker 3 (01:22:45):
I wonder if they just rely on on the running
game today, say look, we're going to go back to
James Cook being a lot of what our offense is,
which is what we've done in the past. We've built
the ship out of him. And the thing about Buffalo
that's so hard is their run defense events is unfixable.
So you're just not going to fix it. And so
if Pittsburgh decide to make that their game plan, what
(01:23:08):
does Buffalo do to counter the AFC? Is so fascinating
because you know, I think the Ravens are better than Pittsburgh,
but they're not playing like it. They're certainly not Buffalo.
What what what are they right now? With with again
with with their with their defensive injuries. I hate to
be the person that says this is the game. Buffalo
(01:23:30):
sort of continues to play poorly, and then Josh Allen
gets you with with being Josh Allen. But I don't know, man.
I think I take Pittsburgh to cover this game. Crack.
That's what they sort of do in this spot. But
they're not trustworth either. It's a very interesting game for
narratives to see which team can sort of, you know,
play their best in a spot where they both need
(01:23:52):
to win. Very curious game.
Speaker 4 (01:23:55):
There's no NFL team in twenty twenty five that's trustworthy.
It's that bad. It's just no standout team.
Speaker 3 (01:24:02):
I mean.
Speaker 4 (01:24:03):
The Bills were actually the early Super Bowl favorite. If
you guys remember when the season started, their Bills were
favorite to win the Super Bowl. So they look to
get on track, back on track this week in Pittsburgh.
They dropped two of the last three. I wouldn't call
it a must win game for both teams, but it's
a very important game for both teams. They're both fighting
for playoff spots in the ANFC. Rogers returns on their
(01:24:26):
center for the Steelers, who have also lost two of
the last three and looked awful on defense. They ranked
thirty first in passing yards allowed, so the Bills hope
to attack them there today. For sure, the Bills defense
has not been that good either though. But their big
concern today is actually the offensive line. They'll be without
their starting left and right tackles, and you know they're
(01:24:49):
gonna be protecting Josh Allen with the makeshift offensive offensive line.
So but however, out of the games today, Brian said
it right, this is probably the only game I don't
know I'm actually looking to look. Believe it or not.
I think I think Washington's going to give Denver Denver
a game. But but I mean, you know, I just
(01:25:10):
said that's a primetime game. It's actually might be a
better game than we think. Then again, I was looking
at the game earlier in the week when it was
seven points is now now it's down to six and
a half. You never the re public could push that
back up tonight, I'm seeing six is now on the board.
That MGM is still six and a half. But anyway
back to this Buffalo game, Uh, you know, it's it's
(01:25:31):
it's an afternoon game. The line is three. It opened
like three to three and a half. It's kind of
really hasn't moved too much, maybe a little to the
to the under Pittsburgh at home. But I think Jeff
said it right. Maybe they'll grind out a cover. This
game can easily be a you know, a twenty seven
to twenty four game or you know, land like right
on the number somewhere.
Speaker 2 (01:25:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:25:52):
The one thing you know, we always talk about turnovers
means a ton right. You mentioned the voodoo there, Jeff
the right, the Steelers voodoo of forcing turnovers. And you
look at the Bills. They've had three straight games with
three turnovers in Pittsburgh. Right now, they're tied for second
in the NFL in takeaways. They have twenty takeaways. They
(01:26:13):
force a lot of turnovers, and that's one way to
compensate for a sucky defense, like that's the Bears, Bears
one oh one. Compensate for a sucky defense giving up
yards left and right is force a bunch of turnovers.
And they've done a great job of that, the best
in the league. So the Steelers a little bit of
the same thing. They're giving up yards left and right,
and one of the ways they stay afloat is to
(01:26:34):
force takeaways. And the Bill's got to do a better
job protecting the football. They've done a terrible job lately.
Speaker 3 (01:26:41):
Part of it is that the Josh Allen Yolo stuff
is sort of back because I think he feels like
it has to be back because they're struggling right now
offensively to do much of anything, and so he's just
trying to do a little too much. Is why he's
turning the ball over. But again, it makes sense, right
because they're not able to really run offense. They don't
have good wide receivers, Their offense lines beat up, the
(01:27:01):
run game hasn't been the same, and you know, it's
they're sort of the stuff that we Chris as Allen
for in the past. I think he got rid of doing.
It's sort of back right now and that makes this game,
you know, predictioning from that perspective as far as what
are we gonna get from from him as well. Also
worth noting they played a college game here twenty four
(01:27:23):
hours ago. I'm curious the footing is like interesting, yeah,
between you know Pittsburgh Miami, right that game was in
the same place, and I'm curious what the footing is
like today. I don't know if you there's a way
to make a wager on that, but the fact is like,
this is a game where you're gonna have weird footing,
and so you like the under in this Brian, maybe
that that plays a role in this game where people
(01:27:43):
lose their footing and it's just not as crisp because
they played a game there twenty five hours ago. It's
kind of insane the NFL allows us to happen where
you split a stadium with a college team and you
play on grass instead of playing on turfy. If this
in Los Angeles, who cares right? You're right in the
turf down. But the fact is that they're playing again
on a field that was just used yesterday for coage
(01:28:05):
football game.
Speaker 1 (01:28:05):
No interesting stuff.
Speaker 5 (01:28:06):
And how about this, if Crack you mentioned the games
on Thanksgiving, three games there, and then the game on
Black Friday. If we each have one main takeaway from
those four games, like Crack will start with you, what's
your main takeaway from any of the three games on
Thanksgiving or the Bears beating the Eagles on Black Friday?
Speaker 4 (01:28:25):
Listen. I have been anti Bears all year and they've
been I've been, you know, taking it, getting beaten up
with them this year. I actually had them no playoffs
underseason win.
Speaker 6 (01:28:37):
So.
Speaker 4 (01:28:39):
They have hurt me this year. So that game really
shocked me. Though I thought the Eagles were the you know,
the best team in football, and I don't know who
is the best team in football now. So those games.
Put it this way, we have a Grandisimo contest here
in town, one hundred thousand dollars entry contest. I had
a third of an entry I was in that got
knocked out a few weeks back. They're not a set.
(01:29:00):
Three people had the Ravens and three had the Eagles.
Imagine the Ravens people that got knocked out of the contests.
By the way, it's it's it's literally worth six point
nine million dollars. They got knocked out. Now the Eagles,
three guys, all they have to do is win, get
you know, go by and next on Friday. Imagine the
(01:29:22):
guys that had the Ravens. How lucky they got because
the contest is over all six teams all six both
teams lost, All six players in the contest got over
one point one million each in cash. And just just
think about that. What a what a week, What a week?
The contest is over. Didn't get a past Thanksgiving? How
about the Big Survivor contest. There was nine hundred people
(01:29:46):
left after this carnage of the weekend of the of
the four games. You have to pick one of the
games of the four games. After all, the underdogs won
down to forty nine people. You know, a couple people
picked the Bears. Think about that, you picked the Bears
in the contest. So I kind of was like almost
(01:30:06):
on one of my other shows was like I wasn't
but think they were making fun of that, like how
do you have the Bears? Well, I found someone that
had the Bears and I asked him, very very sharp guy.
He actually won the contest three years ago. He was
one of the winners one millions of dollars one to
over two million dollars. He said, I had two picks left.
(01:30:26):
I used the Ravens on one. I used the Bears
on the other. Because you're getting I was getting about
twenty three to one on my money to pick the Bears.
And you know, Okay, he did get the he did
get there, but now he still has forty eight other
guys to deal with. So it's it's very interesting what
happened here.
Speaker 3 (01:30:46):
Have you bought back into any No? You bought back
in No, and I.
Speaker 4 (01:30:50):
Did last year. But I'm not buying in because everyone
wants up charges, they want more than than like let's
say a team's worth two hundred thousand dollars. Well, their
entry because it's down to so many entries, they want
more of Like ten percent would be twenty grand, they
want twenty five grand. No way, I'm not buying. There's
so much of a luck factor that this year and
every year, I am not buying in this year unless
(01:31:13):
I would I want a discount. How about that?
Speaker 5 (01:31:18):
I got to how about you, Jeff, you got any
what's your main takeaway from Thanksgiving Slate Black Friday Game?
Speaker 3 (01:31:25):
Well, I put this on social media. I mean, the
Bears are probably some vindication right for how things are
going and what Ben Johnson's building. Like you have to
feel great about those things. So I think you have
to write just it's going better than I think you
even thought it would go. It's been great validation for
what Ben Johnson is trying to build there in Chicago.
(01:31:48):
But I mean, to me, it's also sos Philadelphia. Man
is bad, I feel, And they won the Super Bowl
just months ago, and we have you know, we have
obviously Philly fans in our life. I mean they're they're
like they're distraught, like like they're so angry right now.
Absolutely just won a championship, just want a championship, and
they are they are like I can't, can't, can't talk
(01:32:09):
to them at all. Yeah uh and so but it's
it's worth they're in a bad place. They're they're often
design is not great right now, they're offensive line struggling
with some injuries. Uh, they have every right to be
pretty pretty pissed about the way it's going. But to me,
the Eagles, I mean legitimate problems right now. I told
you guys, anything the Chiefs, we're good enough to win,
so that nothing with that has changed much at all.
(01:32:32):
But you know, guys, it's just so interesting. Like I
think if the Chiefs were to get in the playoffs, yeah,
I think they'd be live to when the AFC there's
not going to get in because they're not playing well enough.
The issues why pick them though?
Speaker 4 (01:32:46):
Over on bet MGM, it's like minus one ten bolt
ways I've seen so it's like up in the air.
It's not it's not that big of an underdog for
the Chiefs to get in.
Speaker 3 (01:32:53):
But crack, they have to basically run the table. Yeah,
so get in, and and that includes beating Houston with
no offensive line right now, like their offensive line is
is they're out three guys.
Speaker 4 (01:33:07):
There is a right now, Jeff, are you're saying the
no might have some value?
Speaker 3 (01:33:11):
I said that no two weeks ago.
Speaker 4 (01:33:13):
Right now right now though, right now, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:33:15):
They're not making the playoffs. Yes, they're not making the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (01:33:19):
Because back then it was plus money. So now it's not.
Speaker 3 (01:33:21):
They're not making the playoffs. They're not doing it. And look,
I I just I know that this team, well they're
not winning the big moments. So you know what's fascinating
about this team too? So I saw the stats. It's
it's Mahomes has lost three comebacks in the last eight
games where he is, they've been behind the fourth quarter,
(01:33:42):
he has taken the lead and they lost. Okay, yeah,
it took Tom Brady two hundred and nine starts to
lose his third game, his third game in that situation.
Like thinking about last game, they were down twenty fourteen,
wasn't going very well. They come back twenty yep, and
what do the Cowboys do? They score immediately? Right, They're
(01:34:05):
just they're the Chiefs are not playing complimentary football right now,
which is what they have done for so many years.
And that's fine. That happens to the NFL. It's not
like things are never gonna be good again in Kansas City.
But the fact is is that it's not coming together.
And when is it gonna come together. It's already past Thanksgiving, guys.
I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. By the way,
right is past Thanksgiving now. It's not coming together anytime soon.
Speaker 5 (01:34:27):
Yeah, I would say, my I guess my main takeaway
is how the league in a lot of ways is
upside down.
Speaker 4 (01:34:34):
Right.
Speaker 5 (01:34:34):
We're used to seeing the Chiefs and the Ravens at
the top of their divisions, you know, at the top
of the standings, the playoff seating wise, they're both six
and six football teams.
Speaker 1 (01:34:44):
That's insane and it kind of just jumped into my
head too.
Speaker 5 (01:34:47):
Is a good point about Mahomes, Jeff, because things will
get good real fast with the Chiefs not gonna happen
this season. But Mahomes has every right and all the
incentive to go ballistic all his team, and he won't
remember a couple of years ago, he threw a perfect
ball to Mark Westveldez scantling, Yeah, mvs, and he dropped it.
(01:35:09):
They lost the game, and he's like, you know, the
pass could have been a little bit better, Like, that's
just Mahomes. Think about Mahomes with what you just explained.
They take the lead and then they give it right back.
He could be going crazy on the defense. Think about
the game against the Cowboys. It's a huge play. They're
down by a touchdown, about nine and a half minutes
to go, it's third and eight. They got a score, right,
(01:35:29):
Rashi Rice over the middle just drops it. Mahomes could
go ballistic right that they're six and six. Now, yeah,
and he hasn't he's been a total pro. But yeah,
the NFL is upside down in a lot of ways.
Speaker 1 (01:35:41):
And how we got here. That's the crazy thing for
the Chiefs.
Speaker 5 (01:35:44):
If someone hadn't been paying attention to the NFL and
they're like, the Chiefs are six and six, how did
that happen? Like they would anticipate you'd say, oh, Mahomes
got hurt in week two.
Speaker 1 (01:35:54):
Mean, you know they've had injuries left and right. It
really hasn't been the case. Right.
Speaker 5 (01:35:58):
That doesn't explain fully how the Chiefs got to six
and six. They're just not making the plays in the
big moments. They're killing themselves time and time again.
Speaker 3 (01:36:08):
And that's the crazy part is like DVOA analytics, they're fine,
like this is they're better than last season, but that
doesn't mean they're winning the games. And that's the hard
part about the NFL because look, as much as every
play does matter, and it absolutely does matter, four to
seven plays in the fourth quarter really matter, right, Like
(01:36:29):
those are the plays every NFL game is within seven points.
I'm sure I'm cracking on there like seventy percent of
NFL games within seven points in the fourth quarter. The
Chiefs would win all those moments. And they're not winning
any those moments anymore, I know.
Speaker 4 (01:36:42):
And over on bedam Jam Kansas City Chiefs regular season
wins nine and a half over minus a dollar ninety.
So that's that's the price on four and two.
Speaker 3 (01:36:53):
Yeah, I mean, so they're gonna be tennis teams and
the Raiders. They're probably gonna beat the Chargers with that's
at home.
Speaker 1 (01:37:02):
I need one more win.
Speaker 3 (01:37:04):
Yeah, so you have Denver at home, Houston at home?
Speaker 4 (01:37:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:37:08):
Is that it?
Speaker 3 (01:37:09):
That's it?
Speaker 1 (01:37:09):
Five five remaining for them?
Speaker 3 (01:37:11):
Okay, Yeah, I.
Speaker 1 (01:37:13):
Mean I just don't know what you've seen so far
that may Yeah, you got to go four in one
for four and one.
Speaker 8 (01:37:19):
Is that right?
Speaker 1 (01:37:20):
Ten wins?
Speaker 4 (01:37:21):
Yeah, yeah, they're six and six, I think and laying
laying a dollar ninety.
Speaker 3 (01:37:26):
I still think people are are not viewing them in
the lens of what they are.
Speaker 1 (01:37:31):
No, get you got to recalibrate the way you look
at that. You got to appraise them.
Speaker 5 (01:37:36):
We need a reappraisal of the Chiefs because we're thinking
these are the Chiefs, Like it's just they're gonna figure
They're not going to figure it out.
Speaker 1 (01:37:43):
It's not happening this season.
Speaker 3 (01:37:45):
It's not you know again, people look at the roster.
I agree the roster is better than last season at
some position, but also ten percent worse at pass rush.
It's ten percent worse. It's in its safety right and
there is ten percent worse to end the game, they
cannot Does George Off his play for the Chiefs anymore?
I don't know. Does he play for them anymore? Like
unless Chris Jones is hitting the quarterback, they have nothing.
(01:38:06):
They can't the quarterback. Yeah, and so parts of the
team are much better, but the other parts that like
sort of matter to winning and closing out games they
can't do right now. And so you know, Houston next
week's going to be thirteen to ten. It's just what
the game is going to be. And hopefully Chiefs are
able to close out the end and win.
Speaker 5 (01:38:22):
Crazy And man, the Ravens, they had that winning streak.
They're hosting the Bengals and they're awful defense on Thanksgiving
evening and Lamar. That was one of the worst games
I've ever seen Lamar play. He's fumbling a couple of times, like,
you know, throwing it.
Speaker 4 (01:38:41):
If they overlook them.
Speaker 3 (01:38:42):
They just they're just not good.
Speaker 1 (01:38:45):
Yeah, they're not a good football team.
Speaker 5 (01:38:47):
Lamar is not healthy, we get that, but he's not
banged up to the point like he scrambled a couple
of times. He picked up some yards. It's not like
he can't move whatsoever. He just cannot throw the ball accurately.
He can't do He missed a green pass for crying
out loud in that game, man, like it was time
after time. I'm like, what is going on with Lamar?
But I don't trust the Ravens at all this season.
Speaker 1 (01:39:10):
They might sneak in.
Speaker 5 (01:39:11):
They just have to win their division, but they are
going nowhere if they even get into the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (01:39:17):
Yeah, their favorite They're like a minus one sixty. Would
you ever think like Detroit too. Look, I'm looking, I'm
looking at the s's here Detroit, Detroit to pick them
and Kansas City to pick them that it's unbelievable. We're
in week thirteen, They're had two of the two of
the pre flopped teams that beginning of the season were
big favorites to even even getting, you know, win the
(01:39:37):
Super Bowl. These are the top five teams. They're they're
pick them just to get into the get into the playoffs.
Speaker 5 (01:39:41):
Hey man, but I'll tell you crack, Like, like Jeff's
just talking about, if you reappraise these teams, there's a
lot of value in fading them right, because it's just
built into you.
Speaker 1 (01:39:51):
Like we've for the Chiefs been in the AFC title
game nine straight years.
Speaker 5 (01:39:55):
Jesus, your programmed to think it's homes it's Andy Reid,
it's Spags.
Speaker 1 (01:40:00):
They're gonna figure it out.
Speaker 4 (01:40:01):
They're not.
Speaker 1 (01:40:02):
They are not in the cards.
Speaker 3 (01:40:04):
They're figuring out this year. And it's crazy because I
I don't think Denver is that good either, But I
think the team I picked to win the AFC right now,
because like think about their defense, their offensive line, in
their run game. They have good weapons if you get
like fifteen percent better Bonnicks and plus it's important to
(01:40:27):
note they were in the playoffs last season. That does matter.
The Patriots were not consideration. The Colts were, like, they've
actually felt what that feels like, and I trust them
more than I would trust through England in postseason. Right now,
it's crazy to say that, Like, Denver is probably that
team right now that I put money on if I
had to choose the AFC to win the AFC.
Speaker 1 (01:40:47):
Interesting, we'll revisit that in just a second.
Speaker 5 (01:40:50):
Over here, we've got Bill Krackenberger, professional sports handicapper. Jeff Schwartz,
eight year NFL veteran, I'm Brian no. All season long bet,
MGM's offering you a second chance on your first touchdown.
When a customer places a wager on a first touchdown
scorer bet and he doesn't score first, but score second,
BETMGM will return one hundred percent of their stakeback in cash.
(01:41:11):
All right, coming up next, It's been tough sledding for
this team this season, but today should be even tougher sledding.
Speaker 1 (01:41:18):
We'll get to that.
Speaker 5 (01:41:18):
It's Fox Sports Radios countdown to kickoff. Presented by BETMGM.
It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff presented by
bet MGM. If you missed anything on today's show, you'll
want to catch the podcast. Just search Fox Sports Radio
wherever you get your podcasts. Right after the show, today's
pod will be posted. Be sure to follow the pod
rate at five stars, and you can even provide a review. Again,
(01:41:41):
just search Fox Sports Radio wherever you get your podcasts,
and you'll find today's full show posted right after we
get off the air. There we go, We're back to
our metal ways on the show here today. How about
the Vikings against the Seahawks today. Seahawks favored by twelve. Now,
not a whole lot of faith in Max Brosmer over
(01:42:03):
here as he gets his first NFL start. And look, man,
it has been tough sledding for the Vikings this season.
They are a four and seven football team. But man,
against the Seahawks defense, I think it's gonna be tougher
sledding today with a quarterback who's making his first NFL start.
You know what, Jim Feist right crack where we're doing
(01:42:24):
the pizza deal at Tom DeMarco's on Wednesday, and Jim
Feist did a great job. He had a line and
he's like, I don't know if anybody can play worse
than JJ McCarthy. And he's right, like JJ McCarthy hasn't
exactly set the bar high when it comes to quarterback
play and take it for what it's worth. Some nice
(01:42:46):
words from Kevin O'Connell about Max Brosmer processing things real
fast and first NFL start. This is a tough Seahawks defense.
Good luck, but I mean silver lining. I don't think
it can be much worse than what krthy is done
out there.
Speaker 4 (01:43:03):
Man.
Speaker 3 (01:43:05):
The vikings I think are very out on the jjit
McCarthy business, very fast. It just hasn't gone well. And
again we talked about this last week, the the nine stuff,
the alter ego, the neurological processing being rewired. Just play football, dude,
Just play football. Like we we all have processes by
(01:43:27):
which we get ready to play. It's all different for everyone. Mine,
as the young kid was, I just learned how to
get a better stance, like that was my thing. But
I'm not going to the media being like guys, my
stance is not good enough. I gotta go play. I
played different stance in college football, got got a better
stance now, like like that was a big part of
my Rookie of the Year was I didn't play in
a three point stance in college. I had to learn
(01:43:48):
to play in the NFL. Halfway through my rookie season,
Jordan Groser off the tackles like, dude, your stance sucks.
Let me fix it for you, and to fix it
for me, And I got much better right like here
you go like like but no one cares. Just just
play better. And so I think like sort of the
drama of that, And you mentioned like the coaches saying
he throws up ball on time, like that gives Minnesota
(01:44:09):
an edge of offense they have not had. Now, does
that mean they're going to go in there and cover today?
I don't think so. I think this is a very
tough spot for Minnesota with a rookie quarterback or at
least a second year kid playing in a hostile now.
Seattle hasn't been as good at home as they've been
in previous years, which is kind of weird. They're a
better road team, But I do think it's a tough
spot for Brosmore to be in and for the Vikings
(01:44:30):
team to be in so I do lean Seattle here,
ever so slightly, but I'm not putting I don't think,
I mean, I need five for the Crack Challenge, but
maybe I will, But I don't think this is gonna
make the Crack Challenge for me.
Speaker 4 (01:44:43):
Yeah. The Vikings four and seven now all eliminated from
the playoffs. Going with this undrafted rookie Brosberg today, however,
I may have a play on him at the end
of the show. We'll see. I want to see what
the current line is. On the other side. Eight and three,
you're looking to solidify their playoff spot at home today.
One of the biggest spreads of the season. Seattle currently
(01:45:05):
a twelve point favorite. I can't lay double digits in
the NFL, so it's either dog or nothing from May here.
Sam Darnold faced the team he went fourteen and three
with last season, a mini revenge game for him, Yes right,
I mean him and him and Jackson Smith have become
one of the more lethal combinations in the NFL this season.
(01:45:30):
Jackson leaves the NFL with thirteen thirteen. I love them.
Thirteen is one of my favorite numbers. People say it's
an unlucky number for me. It's lucky. So now thirteen thirteen,
thirteen hundred and thirteen yards, averaging the league's best twelve
point three yards per target. Seattle. Yes, Jeff, you're right.
Used usually a really tough place to play, and I
(01:45:52):
guess especially for this undrafted rookie making his first start.
But I would be surprised if the Vikers pulled this
one off, of course, but anything can happen in this wacky.
Speaker 3 (01:46:02):
Correct say that again. I was, I'm right, and I
don't hear that very all, especially in my house.
Speaker 4 (01:46:06):
I know, I just know what I always tell you.
I tell you about a lot of things.
Speaker 3 (01:46:13):
It's just good to get that confirmation every now and then.
Speaker 4 (01:46:15):
No, you're you're like you were right about picking the
last food spot. We ate and you're right about certain things.
Speaker 3 (01:46:20):
You know only certain things. Yeah, good, okay, good.
Speaker 1 (01:46:25):
You need the years scratched from time to time, and
we get it. We totally understand that. Hey, how about
the primetime games?
Speaker 5 (01:46:31):
You know, not as much interest in the games themselves,
but if you look at Denver, they're at the commanders.
Speaker 1 (01:46:37):
How crazy is this sentence?
Speaker 5 (01:46:38):
The nine and two Broncos faced the three and eight Commanders,
like the Commanders were in the NFC Championship game last season,
Broncos got crushed by the Bills in the playoffs, and
yet Denver's nine and two, Commanders three and eight, welcome
to the NFL. Then you also have Monday night. Tomorrow night,
you've got the Giants at the Patriots. So we got
(01:46:59):
two and against ten and two. The question is, and Jeff,
you weigh in on this already, but Crack, if you
had to bet on a team to make the deeper
playoff run, knowing where they're at in the pecking order
right now, right, would you go Patriots or would you
go Broncos to make the deeper playoff run?
Speaker 4 (01:47:17):
Not even close for me. I just I don't know
why I'm so anti Denver. I really shouldn't be there.
They've proved that their Bone Nixon company has done a
great job.
Speaker 3 (01:47:27):
This Crack. The quarterback. You have to trust the quarterback,
and we don't trust him, even though around around the
rest of their team is really really good that we
don't trust.
Speaker 4 (01:47:36):
Yeah, the Jeff, yeh see, Hey, you're right, Jeff, thank you.
Speaker 3 (01:47:41):
I appreciate that.
Speaker 5 (01:47:44):
I'd agree with you, though, Crack, I would go Patriots,
like the way I look at the Broncos. They have
a really high floor, but they have a low ceiling.
Like the high floor, the good part of them is
solid defense. They protect the quarterback, they don't allow a
lot of sacks. They sacked the other team's quarterback quite
a bit, and they have a fantastic offensive line. You're
gonna win a lot of games like that. But come
(01:48:06):
playoff time, limited ceiling, lower ceiling because you need more offense.
You can't just smother teams with your defense the way
that the Broncos do in the regular season. You gotta
score points, and I just don't trust bow Knicks to
score enough points come playoff time and the offense collectively,
So that's where I'm at. I think they have a
(01:48:26):
high floor, low ceiling. The thing with the pat the Patriots,
everybody keeps discrediting them like they haven't played anybody. They
beat the Bills on the road, that matters. They beat
Tampa on the road. That's a good win.
Speaker 1 (01:48:39):
That's what started this.
Speaker 5 (01:48:40):
Losing streak of Tampa. But those are two good wins.
And you have a good defense, you have a really
good head coach, and you've got an MVP candidate at quarterback,
and you've got the inside track to the one seed
that all matters a ton. I like Jeff's point. Denver
was at least in the playoffs last season. Patriots weren't.
But even with that being said, I would still favor
(01:49:01):
the Patriots here.
Speaker 3 (01:49:02):
It's it's more just like when you look at at
at quarterbacks in their second time in the postseason. We'll
talk about second year quarterbacks winning championship, Russell Wilson, big Ben.
I mean, you can stretch it a little bit to
like Mahomes the second season starting they won the championship.
That first year they at least make the playoffs, like
Seattle made the playoffs, Pittsford made the playoffs. And then
(01:49:22):
the year two what we rarely rarely see a quarterback
making his first appearance in the postseason playing a Super Bowl, right, Brian, Like,
it's just it's rare.
Speaker 2 (01:49:32):
Now.
Speaker 3 (01:49:32):
It does happen, of course it does, but it's it's
hard to get there. And so I think that that
does matter. And at least Denver has done it before,
and their defensive suffocating enough where you could just sort
of sertands back today sort of maybe like find a
way to get in I don't trust Washing though, with
Mariota against the dis Denver defense. That's my concern this
game late tonight. I just Mariota's great look. Let Oregon
(01:49:57):
Hall of Famer up in the Oregon Sports Hall of
Fame this week, like congratulations, great, But I just do
the more Mario to plays, the worst the offense becomes.
Speaker 4 (01:50:06):
This is a game of two teams going in two
different directions too. You know, the Broncos are off to
their best starts. It is twenty fifteen, eight straight wins,
but at most times they still haven't looked like a
Super Bowl contender on the field. That's just the way
I feel. I mean, they had to get thirty three
points in the fourth quarter to beat the Giants at home,
(01:50:26):
So they're winning those close games, I get it. With
six of their six of their wins by four points
are fewer. They now have a two game lead though
in the AFC West and look for their first division
title in a decade. On the other hand, Washington six
in a row. They've lost Mariota one and four as
replacement of injured Jaden Daniels. This is the Sunday night
(01:50:46):
primetime game, though, so I will assume the entire world
will be on Denver in this game, which is scary.
So I wouldn't be surprised that if we come up
with another seven dog money or something like that before
the game, because I think we're gonna get a lot
of Denver money here, and if it's seven pops up,
I'd be tempted to throw a peanut on the on
(01:51:08):
the plus seven man.
Speaker 5 (01:51:10):
It's uh, the Commander's o win six against the spread
in their piece six games, you know, awful. And it's
like this is one of those games where you look
at Denver, how good they've been, you look how bad
Washington has been, and yet we're still under a touchdown
crack and that just it's staring at you in the
face where it's it's one of those where just when
(01:51:31):
you start thinking it's easy, there's a tap on your shoulder.
Like we've been down this road many times as sports spiders,
where it's like tap, tap, tap, It's not that easy, right.
Speaker 1 (01:51:40):
It just seems like a spot for that to maybe
be the case.
Speaker 4 (01:51:43):
Look, look what happened to Philadelphia and Baltimore the last
two days, last three days. I mean, it looks too easy.
This is, you know, so Oh yeah, just throw Denver
in your money line, parlay. They're gonna be Washington, Yeah,
throw Philly in. Throw Philly in your money line, parlay. Yeah,
they're gonna come on, They're that kills Chicago. You know,
it's so easy to do, and it's the reason why
(01:52:04):
the books. I really didn't give it. I really didn't
give a lot of a lot of flak to our
man from MGM. But I can guarantee you they were
dancing and partying in MGM and every other sportsbook home
risk officer along the country here today the other day.
Because listen, I don't want sports book in town here
(01:52:25):
that had one of their biggest days ever on Thursday.
So I know that that's going to be the same
settiment for all the books. And you know me, I'm
looking to, you know, just just destroy books. And it
doesn't bother me that they win, but it bothers me
that they have to just destroy everybody and win all
four games, and I don't. I just want them to
(01:52:48):
remember this when they have a losing Sunday, which is
once a year, to have a losing Sunday in the NFL,
big day for them. So yes, this could be one
of those games where Denver, same thing, looking at a
shorter favorite than there was on on Thursday and Friday
in the NFL, when both seven seven and a half
point favorites lost out right.
Speaker 1 (01:53:07):
By the way, real fast.
Speaker 5 (01:53:09):
I think we're overdue for a blowout somewhere in the NFL,
right think about all those double digit dogs that covered
last week. We're overdue for someone to get boat raced.
Who do you think is the best candidate? Is it
the Vikings today on the road against the tough defense?
Speaker 3 (01:53:26):
I think I think it could. It could be here.
I think it could be in Charlotte. I think the
Rams could be do okay, yeah, yeah, really make difficult
in the Panthers, the style of play that they have.
I think that's difficult for the Panthers. You know, but
if Santo wins big, then you're like, oh that that
makes sense, right that right was? But the Rams I
(01:53:49):
think would be surprising. Otherwise. I don't know a lot
of games where I see the a lot of a
lot of a lot of blowouts.
Speaker 5 (01:53:55):
All right, we got to go fast here because we
got to crack challenge all the picks coming up.
Speaker 1 (01:53:59):
But we've got.
Speaker 5 (01:54:00):
Okay, Isaac Lohankron as well. How can we not shoehorn
I low into our little party over here.
Speaker 12 (01:54:07):
What's going on, Isaac, Well, what's going on is I'm
looking at the arrivals and departures for the Oxford, Mississippi Airport,
and that's what I've been doing for the last forty
five minutes.
Speaker 8 (01:54:18):
A life is a banquet, and it's all because of
the Lane Kiffen saga. Nothing officially announced still, but Lane
Kiffen still expected to leave ole Miss for LSU. Multiple
outlets reporting an ole Miss team meeting that had been
scheduled to begin two and a half hours ago was
moved to one pm Central Time. That's about an hour
and fifteen minutes from now. Yahoo Sports reported a short
(01:54:41):
time ago and I quote the postponement of the meeting
is related to the university's attempt to retain staff for
the college football playoff run. There is no doubt that
Lane Kiffen will be in attendance at the team meeting,
as his scheduled travel to Louisiana overlaps unquote. Now, I
(01:55:03):
must be confused about airports, but I don't think that
Southwest or Delta has a flight going from Oxford to
Baton Rouge. I'm just saying, if you're going in a
private plane, you can probably wait until you're ready to go.
It won't take off. I mean, is the LSU playing
(01:55:24):
gonna fly back to Baton Rouge if Lane Kiffin's not
a board, of course not anyway. The coaching carousel in
full swing elsewhere. Florida hiring Twulane's John Sumrawl is its
due head coach, Arkansas hiring Memphis is Ryan Silverfield as
its new head coach. Auburn is hiring South Florida's Alex
Golish as its new head coach. NFL Colts Tide end
(01:55:45):
Tyler Warren is active for today's game against Houston. He'd
been questionable due to illness. Baker Mayfield and Bucky Irving
are both active for Tampa Bay against the Arizona Cardinals.
Jacksonville Jaguars defensive line than Eric Armstead inactive for their
game at Tennessee because of a hand injury. I'm gonna
go take a shower back.
Speaker 2 (01:56:05):
To you guys.
Speaker 1 (01:56:06):
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (01:56:06):
Ilo.
