Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ladies, Jule you want experience during your football season, well
buckle up, sweet cheeks. All We've got all the experience
in the world. This is I want your flex with
Dan Bayer and Mike Harmon. Mike and Dan break down
everything you need to set your lineups, from position rankings

(00:22):
to starts and sits. The guys help you make those
hard decisions. And now let's get your flex on. Here's
Dan Bayer and Mike Harmon.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Friday is here, Mike Harmon is here. I'm here, Ryan Bersing,
our executive producers. Here it is. I want your flex
Week four packers and lions in the books. So now
let's look ahead to the weekend. No doubleheader Monday night
football in Week four, thank goodness for that. We are
gonna have to wait on the status of Saquon Barkley
a little bit more, but things are trending good, something

(00:57):
to keep our eye on. Let's waste no time, Mike Harmon.
Let's get into your top rankings, your top five players
at the quarterback, running back, and wide receiver position four
Week four of the NFL season, and I think lightning
will strike at number one in your quarterback spot. Let's
get to your top five quarterbacks for week four.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
We got a bunch of the usual names. We'll just
jumble them up for giggles, shall we hear? Going into
week four, how about Justin Herbert? Yeah, the defense still
can't figure anything out, and the well Las Vegas Raiders
are can we just say not good at this point.
A little concern with Mike Williams going out, But we'll
talk about Palmer, We'll talk about Johnston, we'll talk about

(01:37):
the possible return of Austin Eckler to the mix to
keep that offense rolling along. So I think the machine
that is Justin Herbert from a fantasy perspective, keeps on Eventually.
Folks in Los Angeles would like to see a W
or two strung along as well. Number two, you've got
Patrick Mahomes. Yeah. I ain't afraid to know Jets because
that defense will get after Zach Wilson in front of

(02:00):
Taylor Swift, terrorizing the young man. She'll have to go
over and do some conant consoling of old Wilson's mom
along the way. But the offense is just gonna start
getting better and better each week. As Kelsey you saw
against the Bears, another opportunity here, short fields, make it happen.

(02:20):
Josh Allen going up against Miami, a game that could
become one of those fun shootout moments for US gave
Davis expecting more of a role from him. Yeah, the
touchdown was nice, especially if it help you stave off
elimination in a guillotine league like it did for me.
But looking for Allan with his legs, make it plays
and for that offense to get clicking as well. Clicking click,

(02:41):
click click. Joe Burrow going up against Tennessee. He doesn't
have to move very much here, he's not running the football.
You can go against the poorest secondary opportunity here, and
the Bengals should be able to give him a couple
of short fields. Going up against Tannehill and what is
right now a putrid offense. And finally for that fifth spot,
Captain Kirk. Jalen hurts to a tongue of Vila. I'm

(03:05):
gonna lead toward Captain Kirk again because the defense is terrible.
He's gonna need to keep gunning. Yeah, I know it's
against Caroline. I don't care. It's all about desperation. It's
all about grinding things out. And right now you're looking
at a player in Kirk Cousins. Take the fantasy gold
while it is there.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
All right, there they were your top five quarterbacks that
knew Justin Herbert would be in the list. Yeah, but
no Tuoa. But you do get some Josh Allen in
Mike's top five this week. All right, let's jump over
to the running backs. Forty nine ers have a game
against the Cardinals. Could see some CMC. How is what
Kyen Williams gonna do for the Rams as they take
on the Colts. Just some of the names you may hear's.

(03:43):
Mike Carmon gives you his top five running backs for
Week four of the NFL season.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
All Right, we're gonna go with the Chalk. I took
him first overall, and thus far he has not disappointed me.
There'll be no letdown here San Francisco going up against Arizona.
Give me Christian McCaffrey to have himself a day, a
man on a mission, a team on a mission, and
a team that just maybe they watched more of the
Cardinals Cowboys tape than the Cowboys did this week? Right,

(04:08):
one of those Burnett situations for them for the forty
nine ers, don't get caught flat footed in a divisional game.
Big effort here for McCaffrey number two. This might be
one that Dan Byer loves a lot. Kenneth Walker going
up against the New York Football Giants, power running, getting
some balance, establishing balance in the force, and what we've

(04:30):
seen from the Giants they've played two good quarters of
football thus far this season. Opportunity to go and punch
them in the mouth once again. For the Seahawks coming
up at number three, Let's go with Travis etn Why
because I want to see that little toy story figure
of him run around. Yeah, I know I'm making the
obvious jokes for the television play, but looking for he's

(04:51):
got to have a big touch count for this offense
to get moving if they are going, how about a
little surprise and a newbie to the group, And that's
We're gonna go with Kyron Williams as a little bit
of a shocker sleeper. Maybe he should have gone to
the Ninjas, but I'm gonna get him into the top
five here. Going up against Indianapolis, Opportunity knocks, still waiting

(05:13):
for the big play to break off and then finally, finally,
desperation a stinky Cologne. The matchup is right, Josh Jacobs
cracks our top five going up against the Chargers defense.
Look for a solid workload. As we sat here and
commenced the committal to our digital files here, we don't

(05:37):
know if Garoppolo is going to be available, and if
he is, does he finish? Is it an aid and O'Connell.
Either way, I think you're gonna see a big workload
from Jacobs in this one against a struggling Chargers d.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
I completely got burned by Kenneth Walker in Week three
against Carolina. I just for some reason after the output
that he had against the Lions, and we two, Michael,
he's not going to score back, you know, two touchdowns
and consecutive games. What do you know he did? He
was the NFC Offensive Player of the Week and now
he's number two in Harmon's rankings. As the Seahawks are

(06:11):
in New York to face the Giants on Monday night,
still keeping our tabs on the status of Saquon Barkley.
All right, let's get to the wide receivers in week four,
some familiar names and Mike's top five. Take it away, Mike, Hey.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
Let's get it started. Big game on Monday night, receptions
loading up. How about we double down with Jamar Chase
with a big effort coming up against Tennessee. Yeah, it's
on the road, but you're looking at a Tennessee squad
porus in the secondary offense still with a bunch of questions.
Derrick Henry, I wanted to call him Travis Henry for

(06:44):
a moment. Yeah, that's where I'm at in what Derrick
Henry looks like the end of Travis Henry's career right now,
falling forward. But opportunity for the Bengals defense to give
the opportunity to Burrow in company to make some magic.
And Jamar Chase cash is in Devonte Adams. You know
how you get a guy ready to be traded, You

(07:05):
showcase him against a bad defense. And I think the
workload here, whether it's Garoppolo, whether it's O'Connell, whether it's
Brian Hoyer, someone sneaks in and gives you an opportunity
to make some plays. And I think he had a
heavy workload heading into this one for Devonte Adams. Number three.
Keenan Allen stats for days. The running joke around the

(07:27):
office with our guys, Steve de Sager on the updates.
Carrying around is keenan Allen stats book. I think it's
just dedicated to him at this point, given all the
opportunities he's had, and with Mike Williams out, and really
it's an easy pitch and catch, as we watched last week,
keep those flowing against a bad Raiders secondary Tyreek Hill

(07:48):
against Buffalo. Everybody wants to see the matchup. He talked
about becoming a film star. Maybe that happens later on
in his life. Maybe it was all a joke, maybe
it wasn't. Either way, we'll be watching film with him
sprinting through the secondary of Buffalo as this game gets
a little wild at times, I think. And then finally
number five, we're gonna go with Deebo Sam a little

(08:10):
bit of a price shot giving you some big efforts
Thus far this season, Ayuk is back. The full complement
of weapons are there, but looking for Debo as a
runner receiver. Now, obviously we keep an eye on the
injury reports. He was banged up. That's what happens when
you go and run the ball a bunch, But opportunity
knocks for big plays against this Arizona d.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
You would think that Deebo Samuel could have a field
day against the Cardinals, but that is again if he plays.
He is a bit dinged up, took that hit on
Thursday night, didn't practice on Thursday, and also missed Wednesday's workout,
So something to obviously look for. At least when today's
injury report comes out, then we'll have a much better
idea on what Deebo Samuel's status is. Maybe a situation

(08:56):
too where they just if Brandon Ayuk does come back
and you have deebos it some of them I just
watched for at least with the Niners taking on the Cardinal. Sorry,
those are your top five quarterbacks, running backs, and wide receivers,
and Mike Carmen has four Week four of the NFL
season coming up next, Let's get to the guys that
aren't in the top five. You're hot plays and cold
sores and even the Ninjas. That's next here on I

(09:16):
want your flex Welcome back. He's Mike Carmen, I'm Dan Beyer.
Executive producer is Ryan Berschinger. We gave you some obvious
names guys that you know that you're going to have
in your lineup. But again, the reason I love the
rankings that Mike does is because I always want to
know if my studs, the guys that I have in
my lineup are the number one option that week and
the number two option. You're obviously going to play Jamar Chase,

(09:38):
who was Mike's number one wide receiver, but I still
want to know if he thinks that Jamar Chase is
going to do better than Devonte Adams, who I may
face in that matchup. So that's why I love the rankings.
I love these even more guys that could have big
weeks that may not be in the top five. Mike
struck gold last week with Tank Dell. Let's see what
he's got for our hot plays in week four?

Speaker 3 (09:57):
Well, you keep giving the ball to the hot hand.
I don't care that there's a workload split. No, I
don't care that you have the scrum that's gonna vulture.
Maybe a touchdown away again at the goal line with
Jalen Hurts. No, DeAndre Swift has absolutely earned the right
to be a rock solid starter for US. I don't
know how much he's gonna get to play in these
other categories. Might be looking at him as a top

(10:19):
five option behind that offensive line, but opportunity here Division
game against Washington at home. Workload will be big once again.
Raheem Mostert respect guy that everybody wanted. Every other running
back that was on the market in the marketplace could
be on the market. Jonathan Taylor was a photoshop there,
Dalvin Cook was photoshop there instead, power running game spread

(10:43):
the field last week, seventy burger for this squad going
up against Denver. That was with Jalen Waddle on the sideline.
Look for more love this week. I know Achen is
everybody's darling on the waiver wire and there is a
workload split, but not retreat quietly into that good night.
So playing with confidence this weekend. Brock Perdy going up

(11:05):
against Arizona. We always channeled the great Paul Haman introduction
from the playoffs last year. That's right, we're going wwe
when he went brock Purty channeling a little of his
love for the great brock Lessner. And right now they
are swinging neck breaker and power bombing and f fiving
guys all over the place. They'll do it to the

(11:25):
Arizona defense again this week. Spread it around. Doesn't need
to be monstrous, but it is a nice easy stat line.
No roller coaster rides here with Purdy thus far, Anthony Richardson,
we get him in our lineup, and then we just
pray that he can finish the game. It's one of
those we watched, the running efforts, we watched the ability

(11:47):
to make some plays downfield. We're starting to see more
in the passing game. Yeah, it was more downfield throws
with Minshew a week ago. But Richardson looking on track
that he's going to be back under center, and given
the rushing yards and goal line efforts, opportunity does knock
here on the other side of that, we look at Nikua,

(12:09):
just settle down into that secondary, just take your PPR
love and move on. And DK Metcalf going up against
the New York Football Giants. I felt like we hadn't
said DK's name in a while, and since I have
some ownership shares, I'm looking at him and, you know,
really kind of evaluating where we're at. Offense starts to
take another step up Giants at this point, hapless on defense,

(12:33):
opportunity knocks a puka.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
Nikua's value gets on. It keeps getting better and better,
especially when we don't know the status of Cooper cup
Rams kind of coy about that, So you might also
ride the Puka Nakua train as long as you can
in LA or with la as. The Rams may not
be a playoff team, but they sure are competitive and
Puka Nakua still wrapping up those catches. All right, let's

(12:56):
get to the flip side of things. Some cold plays,
cold guys you want to stay away from. In Week
four of the NFL season, Mike take it away.

Speaker 3 (13:05):
Well, let's go big game hunting. They laid a huge
egg against Arizona week ago. I don't think the sledging's
any better for Dallas this time out going up against
New England, even though it's a big game at home.
Tony Pollard Dak Prescott two guys that I'm looking at. Look,
Pollard's obviously going to be in your lineup. He's still
going to be a back end one, high end two

(13:26):
at least from where I'm looking at with the New
England defense. So opportunity means he's in your lineup, but
you gotta temper those expectations. Dak, on the other hand,
I could see shutting him down here for what is
a very difficult matchup. Say what you will about the
lack of explosiveness on the New England offense. Defensively, they
can get after a bit and the timing in the

(13:47):
passing game right now, so then' look look great for
Dak Prescott not taking a lot of shots downfield. The
big plays haven't been there, and look, that's fine if
you get extra points for completion percentage have had it,
but for big plays, I don't see him happening this
week against New England. Joe Mixon had himself a pretty
good game on Monday Night football, and I like the

(14:10):
opportunity here for the Bengals as Joe Burrow gets right.
But from the run side of things, it's one thing
Tennessee's defense can get after a little bit. So here
you're hoping for some love in the PPR situation. Again,
Number two play for you based on the opportunities in
the touchcount, but I'm not expecting huge dividends. Lamar Jackson

(14:32):
going up against Cleveland, I know Rokwan Smith is really
talking up a good game of embarrassing them in front
of their wives and children. I think that's a great quote.
I mean, come on, Divisional hatred is always a good thing,
but a tough spot here for Lamar again, the offense
not clicking. This is where we get into our off
season work and integrating guys, and they did not exercise

(14:56):
any of those demons for injuries yet in Baltimore. Look
like they'll get a couple of players back on offense,
particularly when we start looking at the center of that
offensive line. But still tough seliding for Lamar. You're hoping
for plays with his legs and then let's grab a
couple of wideouts right quick. Calvin Ridley going up against Atlanta,

(15:16):
you know he'll get you, you know, over that threshold
when we're looking towards double digit points. But in PPR leagues,
how exciting is that? Give me my five for fifty five. Yay.
I'm not looking for a big day here, but again
starting to with flex options in most leagues, he's a starter,
as is Mike Evans, but he's probably more a WR

(15:37):
three this time around. We know the classic battles against
New Orleans and their secondary. So grab your popcorn. We're
getting ready for another show on Sunday.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
Yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna touch on Lamar Jackson a
little bit later on I piggyback off of Mike's thoughts
on that one London games, Calvin Ridley, Yeah, you have
no idea. And plus I think the Falcons are a
little bit better on D defense. And now we'll see
what the Cowboys do against a Bill Belichick led Patriots squad.
All right, let's look for the hidden gems the Ninjas

(16:07):
four Week four of the NFL season.

Speaker 3 (16:09):
The battle that I'll watch so you don't have to
the Broncos and the Bears. Let's take two guys from
the Broncos side of things. If Russ can't cook up something,
even if it's just an appetizer against the Bears, all
hope is lost in Denver, although if you read the
local press, they're already starting to light up the torches

(16:32):
and the pitchforks are out. Jamaltea Williams, likewise, against the Bears,
run defense should have some opportunity. Jalen Warren, we've talked
about him. I continue to be the hype man catches
out of the backfield. That's where we're making some hay
for Najee Harris. That workloads split is going to start
looking the other way. That pie chart is gonna get
bigger with more looks for Warren, more explosiveness, more opportunity,

(16:54):
and we know Houston's defense likes to play fast just
like Pittsburgh does, so this will be a little bit
of a grind, get out kind of situation. But hoping
for some yack on some of those receptions from Warren
in this one. Joshua Palmer mentioned him before as we
Mike Williams and I hate that we had to do
it the other night, both Smith and I and then

(17:16):
the podcast fellas, and that we're getting just to that
awful space where Mike Williams has already hurt. This time,
it's not a week to week but done for the years,
So now it's about stepping up. Johnston doesn't seem like
he's ready to get there just yet. He's the prototype.
He is the guy who filled what they need physically
downfield to make big plays. But Palmer easy relationship history

(17:39):
with Justin Herbert, opportunity against the Vegas secondary to go
make some plays, and then finally let's go to Cleveland.
I know we've been critical of what we've seen Deshaun Watson,
a couple flashes here and there, overall still trying to
put it together, but how about a little Elijah Moore
going up against the Baltimore secondary again. Their bang up

(18:00):
a little bit, and in a grudge match situation, they'll
do everything they can to keep the name Cooper from
being screamed a lot. Look for the secondary receivers to
make bigger plays this time around.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
Now, Elijah Moore and Deshaun Watson maybe getting a bit
of a report. It's my turn, Mike now to I'm
going to piggyback on one of the things that you said,
and I'll get to that in just a little bit
because it came from your cold sores and I'm going
to give you a reason to bench a guy. But
I got to give you a reason to start a guy.
And it is a theme. It will be a theme

(18:34):
throughout the weekend, and this guy's even talked about it.
I don't know how in the world if you're Bill
Belichick in the New England Patriots, you don't figure out
a way to get Ezekiel Elliott in the end zone.
I know there's not going to be a lot of
may not be a lot of scoring in that game. However,
if I were to give you one reason to start

(18:54):
Ezekiel Elliott against the Cowboys, for the New England Patriots.
It's because Zeke is coming home. Like there's this is
set up like if you wanted to pick any week
where Ezekiel Elliott would score a touchdown, this would be
the week to do it. So if you're thin at
the running back position, heck, he's coming off of a
decent week against the Jets in a win. But I

(19:14):
believe that Ezekiel Elliott gets in the end zone and
that is the reason why I say you start him
against the Dallas Cowboys. I will also say this, I'm
going to piggyback on Mike's Lamar Jackson. I really really
like this Cleveland defense, and I just think that there
are better options. It's not a bye week. I think

(19:34):
that there are better options for you at quarterback, especially
for a Cleveland defense again that has given up six
points in a combined two games against the Bengals and
Titans and only lost to the Steelers because the Steelers
defense scored not once but twice. So I am with
Mike on this. I will give you a reason to
bench Lamar Jackson of the Ravens, and that's because of

(19:55):
that dog pound defense in Cleveland. All right, there, it
is hopefully it's a little bit better than it was
a week ago. He's Mike Carmen, I'm Dan Byer. That's
Ryan Berschinger, Week four US here. We wish you success,
we'll talk to you next time right here, and I
want your flex
