The way tire buying should be BJ.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
We had an instant classic earlier today in a game
that is incredibly hard to say now the Red River
rivalry all right, thirty four to thirty, Oklahoma scores a touchdown,
Dylan Gabriel leads them on a game winning drive. The
touchdown goes in with fifteen seconds left on the clock,
and Texas and Steve Sarkisian lose their.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
First game of the year.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
Right now, they were the third ranked team of the
nation got upset by the twelve ranked team.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
We got the.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
Number one team going right now, Georgia. They are establishing
dominance over Kentucky twenty one to nothing, and Michigan, the
second ranked team in the nation, has ten already in
the Battle of the Little Brown jug on NBC right
now versus Minnesota, which is three and they're not quite
rowing the boat. You know what, there's been a bad
week for boats between PJ. Fleck rowing the boat and
(01:07):
Ron rivera riverboat.
Speaker 4 (01:08):
Ron.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
Maybe we just need to, you know, give up on
this nautical stuff and to stand on land and you know,
press up on DJ more potentially. But VJ right now,
we got you know, a lot of college football on actually,
and a lot of top twenty five matchups. Woilsville right
now with the ten, i mean, the seven nothing lead
over one in five and one Notre Dame, Notre Dame
of the tenth thry team in the nation. We watched
(01:29):
them squeak by Duke last week. But big college football
Saturday on the slate.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
Great, not just big and baseball Yeah, oh my gosh,
I forget baseball. Ohait a second, I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
Yeah, Rangers one Oriole's none in the American League Divisional
Series on that side of the bracket.
Speaker 3 (01:46):
There you go. Yeah, I'll let you say it. I
ain't got to I got to fit it on y'all.
Ry no where our stand. But no, man, First of all,
what's up there everybody out there listening land listening to
us Martin and VJ man, Big Vanilla Funny myself here
great day. As Martin said, the college football man, A
lot of take a a lot of takeaways. Man, great
early games that when you look at today's schedule, you
you knew Oklahoma Texas, the red River rivalry, bro it is,
(02:10):
I hate it, like the old one. I like the
old one. I get red River Street, I get well,
I don't, but that's cool. But good stuff in that game.
Great stuff in that game. Just notes I took from
that one. Man, is the first thing I thought when
I was watching this game, Martin, Texas and Oklahoma they're
ready for the SEC. They'll be Johnson, They'll be fine. Man.
They've built these programs back with coach Vinibles has done
(02:32):
with Oklahoma's defense. He completely now has his stamp one
all over. His defense ironically looks a lot like the
defense that used to shut people down out there in
Death Valley down in South Carolina. They're having some problems
to moving the ball, stopping the ball, running the ball,
stopping to run football one on one. But I thought, man, God,
this is gonna be so great. With conference realignment next year,
(02:54):
both these teams go to the SEC. The SEC to me,
has always been in maybe a two or three pony
race every year gets talked up like it's, you know,
super great, but there's Vanderbilt and Tennessee's been down old
Mississippi State, South Carolina. Like it's not as powerful in
my opinion as most people in the media love to
pump it up. To me, they'll be fine for that.
But like you said, Dylan Gabriel, just some words for him, man,
(03:16):
And he's a senior, he's been here before. He's a
transfer kid, real deep in his faith, and I always
love that about athletes when they express that. But I
thought looks steady and he's trustworthy. He's a quarterback that
Brett Vnables can trust, and the offensive coordinator and play calls,
they can trust this kid not to go lose games today,
(03:37):
which I thought my man Quinn did by throwing the
two picks, turning the ball over. It's like, this is
a big game for you. And once again, y'all know
how I get down. I take it real personal when
I talk you up on our show and you go
out and you make me look stupid, because I gotta
walk back in here and get back on air and
go to social media. Here this guy to know who
he's talking about. You gotta do better than that today.
(03:57):
Man also too, b Jon Robinson was it's just that
damn good And I don't think we give that enough
attention for what Texas has lost and been able to
be in this game. But the one I thought they
lost the game on the call, I call it a
dumb call. Twenty seven to twenty eleven, thirty fourth in goal.
Why don't you just take the three? Start take the three,
even though they came back and had the lead. Imagine
(04:18):
if you came back instead of being up thirteen, year
up sixteen. That's game that right there to me, I
thought turned the game around once again. Even though they
did come back. That three points that you left on
the field by trying to chase a touchdown I think
eventually cost in the game. I think both these programs
are fine moving forward. They're gonna be great NA STC.
But shout out to Oklahoma. They're six and zero. One
(04:39):
of my outside teams to watch outside my top four
college playoff Texas Longhorns took their first loss today.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
Yeah, and it is one of those I felt like,
I mean, I did, honestly thought bred Vennivil's and it's
not something that you have been able to say throughout
his Oklahoma tenure.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
I thought he just out coached him. Yeah, he did
a great job today.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
You know.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
And it was one of those you know, I wasn't
not trying to, you know, be like, oh, I was
ahead of the curve. I just everybody was picking Texas.
A lot of Texas was very popular preseason pick, and
I was just.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
Like, I don't know, man, it couldn't though.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
I'm not saying or not, but it's just if this
is the case, then this will be the first time
in history that Sark has going on a big run.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
Do you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
That's all that's you know, I'm not saying they don't
have talent. I'm not saying they don't have Quinn Ewers
is a Sunday guy. I don't know where he'll be picked,
but I know he will be drafted in the NFL,
you know where.
Speaker 5 (05:25):
You know.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Dylan Gabriel to me is he's so slight. He's a
small guy, prototypical college quarterback. We'll see how he translates
to the next level in terms of size and speed,
especially when you look at.
Speaker 3 (05:35):
This year's draft class. We'll talk about that in a
little bit when we get into the NFL later on.
But I think you might see a return to the
measurables in some of these first round picks or you know,
high drafted quarterbacks, as we see Kyley, they're going to
move away from the smaller guys that we've seen going
high a lot. I think I think five years, I
think what it is it used to be.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
Uh it would be an automatic uh prerequisite. You needed
your quarterback to be over six feet tall. He needed
to be over two twenty five.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
He needed like C. J.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
Stroud was pretty much the body type for what we
were looking for for quarterbacks prior to maybe Kyler Murray.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
Go back the Johnny Man. He's a first round draft
pick and he was a you know, little guy, sure
a first round draft pick. So I think we'll see
a return to some of the measurables, you know, a
return to some of the especially when we see these quarterbacks. Now,
who I mean, tell me who's the outside of Joe Burrow,
who are the pocket passers who have less than five
years in the league. That's a good one, do you
(06:36):
know what I'm saying? Than five? Because Josh Allen's over that,
Dak's over there.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
But even even Josh Allen, even you put it, make
it seven, even Josh Allen, Josh Allen is Kenny went
from the pocket shore.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
But you want him to run, you want him to move.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
You know what I'm say I'm talking about I'm talking
about guys and even Joe will get on the move
when he's healthy, right, But I'm talking about guys who
are your prototypical Tom Brady, Matt Ryan, Ben Roethlisberger, the
guys who are just standing there one through three, make
a throw because they're not running nowhere.
Speaker 3 (07:06):
Now, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
Like Dann those type of guys, We've gotten away from
him a little bit this year. Joe Burrow, to me,
is the really the only one that you can qualify
as a guy who is a franchise quarterback that sits
up in that way.
Speaker 3 (07:21):
But this Oklahoma team, it's gonna be interesting with the
Big twelve.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
How Oklahoma plays out, We'll see how they finish out
the rest of their schedule. I'm not necessarily done on Texas,
I'm not out on Tech. We'll see how I think
we're gonna see more and more. You know, the number
one team in the nation, while they have a twenty
one point lead with nine minutes left in the second quarter.
Right now, they've looked questionable throughout the throughout this thing.
Michigan hasn't covered the spread since the season started, right.
(07:45):
Texas obviously just lost. Alabama was a highly ranked team
that lost, and now they're eleven. I think we're gonna
see one or two one loss teams when this thing
is all said and done inside the college football playoff.
So I'm not I'm not ruling Texas out of here.
Speaker 3 (08:01):
I'll agree. I'll give you one. There will be one
one lost team in the College Football Playoff. Two Then
that means you're telling me either Michigan, Ohio State, sc
are Florida State. You're telling me one of those other
teams are gonna lose this year because those are Georgia,
because those are the top five or six teams. I
just rattled off really fasted with Texas. The reason why
(08:23):
you shouldn't be out on Texas Houston BYU, Kansas State, TCU,
Iowa State, Texas Tech. They're gonna be favored in the
rest of their games and they should win the rest
of those games. When you put the film on and
watch them. Their offensive line is much better. They move
people even to Oklahoma push them around today too. But
you get that with two great teams, two basically top
ten programs that get the recruit five and four staw
(08:45):
offensive line and grow them in the system, throw them
out there on the field and let them just go
move other human being bodies wherever they want to go
and place them. But you shouldn't be out on Texas yet.
But the two one lost college football team, that's interesting.
Speaker 1 (08:59):
Man.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
Yeah, Like I said, then you're telling me one of
these other top teams are going down because I think
Michigan's going undefeated. I know they haven't covered, but I
think Michigan's going undefeated. I think George is going undefeated.
So there's there's there's my one and two. I think
going to feed and getting to the college football playoff Alabama.
Steve brought it up a few weeks ago. Uh, you know,
they get another win today and they're in control of
(09:20):
their own destiny in the AFC and and not the
excuse me, in the SEC West. Now, I will say this,
and I've been saying this from the jump. I don't
think they're a national title contender, but I think that
they are good enough to get to the SEC championship game,
but then they're playing Georgia and then that's not gonna
matter the playoff and if you can't get to the playoff,
then you're not a national championship contender. So that's what
(09:41):
I'm saying about Bama. Your guy, Milroe, tip of the hat,
salute to you. My brother, great, great game, his best
game in his career today. He grew up today. And
they might have found a receiver. I always speak about.
We don't have those the Jaylen Willers, Davonte Smith, the
Julio Jones is the meat, He's the Wims. They don't
have that guy this year or last year. They do
(10:04):
got they might bond, Yeah, they might bond. Might be
the guy that steps in and is the next great
go to make big play, saved games for you like
he did today, Alabama receiver. So I will say that
about Obama as far as them possibly being a one
loss team into the playoff, but they're gonna have to
go through Georgia, and I think if Georgia were number
one going into that game, hypothetically, if they lost, they
(10:26):
wouldn't get knocked out of the top four, So then
that could be your two to one loss teams. But
that's two SEC teams getting in. I mean, I think
two SCC teams are going to get gonna get in
this year. Like you said a second ago, you think
Texas and Oklahoma both ready for the SEC. I agree,
But also I don't know. The SDC ain't what it
used to be. Champ Like like I watched LSU and
(10:50):
Missouri forty nine to thirty nine, in a game in
which Missouri should have won it. The one I mean
one DJ seas oh and e one defensive stop came
when Brady Cook threw a pick six to LSU late
the fourth quarter.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
And again that was I mean Mississippi, I mean Missouri
got the ball back, but essentially that made it a
two score game. But I was saying this on the
doing updates today, whoever have the ball last and his
game is.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
Going to what's gonna end? They pretty well it would
have been that way ye had Brady Cook got throw
the interception. Well, Brian Kelly, speaking of LSU, I watched
had that one on that five screens going today to
this morning. Was bonkers in my in my office covering
and watching all these games forty eight to thirty nine.
In that game, they got major problems in LSU to
that didn't see coming. This was one of my college
(11:35):
football playoff teams. I don't think that's I don't think
that's gonna happen. They're gonna drop another game. They're giving
up so many points. This defense. Matt House, who's their
defensive coordinator, who has a Super Bowl ring, he won
one with the Chiefs. This guy's coached at Pitt. He's
coached the NFL for the Panthers like he's done this.
And when he was with the Chiefs he was their
linebackers coach. He's the linebackers coach there with LSU. But
(11:58):
they've given up four five to Florida State, thirty one
to Arkansas fifty five a double nickel Michael Jordan's game,
first game back in MSG after the retirement, Type night
fifty five, and then thirty nine today to Missouri. They
cannot keep giving up points like this and expect Jayden
Daniels to bail them out. The defense gave up over
four hundred yards passing today. Like you said, Missouri should
(12:22):
they were up twenty five? Was it twenty five to ten?
If I'm not mistaking. Yeah, it's twenty five to ten.
One is a three score margin. They you haven't finished
that game off, But if you're LSU, you gotta tip
your hat to them too. Hey, listen, they hung in there,
they came back, they won the game. Cook as you said,
that was his second interception that he had threw to
go with his two touchdowns. But LSU's got issues, homeboy,
(12:42):
big is shit. They're gonna lose. They're gonna lose again,
and they start on defense. And it's a damn shame too,
because both of those wide receivers, Neighbors and number eleven,
both of those guys are I mean, you was almost
Sunday guys. If you want to talk about Sunday guys,
I mean, Lord at Mercy. You know what. The other
thing Jalen Daniels right now is seemingly.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
Going through making a uh, seemingly going through trying to
do his own segment of jacked up.
Speaker 3 (13:09):
Remember jacked up? You know he got jacked up. You
could literally make a highlight reel of college football hits
that just have Jalen Daniels.
Speaker 2 (13:20):
He was knocked out of the game today with injury.
Garrett nuss Meyer came in and played a little bit.
You know, garretts Meyer's dad is nuts Meyer. Remember Doug
nust Meyer came in coach Michigan offense for a single year.
Ah wow, that's his dad, I believe. So how about
what the last name? Like Nutsmeyer? They gotta be related
someway down the line. You'd imagine, right, yeah, you'd imagine
(13:40):
like if you meet another Husky with an EWE and
he might be my cousin some way, somehow, it's not
a lot of us. That's how I felt when I'm
not gonna say her first name, but I got a
husky invitation on LinkedIn, and I was like, I.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
Wonder, sure enough it was your wife. I told you
out there if it's e y because most people spell
it I E or why if it's e y, that's
one of us. Sure. Doris Sanders with a rushing touchdown
right now, Colorado just tied it up fourteen. Well they're
gonna kick an extra point right now, Let's see if
it goes in. They're doing that, they swinging gate. Extra
point kick is up and good versus Arizona State. One
(14:13):
in four Arizona State. But they've been tough in most
of the games they played so far. I took usc
to the right to the should have been, they should
have beat you, right, they should have right up to
the edge, right, they should have beat them. So we'll
see what goes on with that one.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
Keep an eye on that one is where as well,
and coming up next we'll talk a little bit NFL here.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
You know they said running backs can't get paid, or
did they? You know what I'm saying. I'm glad we
didn't have to visit a funeral or retirement to watch
Jonathan Tailor get paid.
Speaker 2 (14:39):
But I will talk about that coming up next. Martin

Speaker 3 (15:47):
H VJ. What we sat here and hollered and screamed
about it. What and the hell is Jim ERSI dop Man?
Why are you making this a whole big deal? You
just did Anthony Richardson with the fourth throw overall picking
the draft. You have a decent offensive line, but you know,
would probably help with that. Jonathan Taylor.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
Yeah, they have this whole big thing. Jonathan Taylor's at
training camp. Jeff Heresay pulls up in a tour bus.
They go talk on the bus, and you know what
the end result of that was.
Speaker 3 (16:18):
Jonath Taylor said, well, you know what, my back hurts.
I'm going on pup. But before that, though Ersay said, oh,
he said said, go ahead, I know this is this
is this is your account, the whole earthy thing is
your account for since we had the show together. I
will let you say what he decided to say. What
would happen if there was no he go If I
die tomorrow Jonathan Taylor retires, they won't miss either one
(16:42):
of us, which morbid to Shay the least, you know,
tone deaf to say the most right, tone deaf to
say the most as uh like, it's the obvious that
league is gonna go on. Okay, we get that. But
the thing that drives me nuts, the thing that drives
me crazy, I'll I feel like this deal would have
been agreed to at any point in time throughout the offseason.
Speaker 2 (17:04):
He agrees to a three year, three year deal with
forty two million dollars twenty six guaranteed right money.
Speaker 3 (17:11):
But it's just like that was the thing, that was
the thing the whole time. All these guys want is
a little protection. Oh, they want is a little They
don't want to have the month to month lease, right,
that's it. Can I sign up for twelve months please?
At the current rate? You know what I mean? I know,
you know, you know what they're talking about. You get
(17:31):
that month to month lease.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
After you live in your LA apartment for over a year,
all of a sudden, the landlord comes back and you
want to lock into twelve month lease.
Speaker 3 (17:38):
M no, no, no, no, no, no, I'm good. I like
this month to month month. You said month to month
after the first year. But I did my part. But
the difference.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
Between the difference between the running back market in the
NFL and the apartment market in Los Angeles is you
don't find Jonathan Taylor's on every block. That's like a
two bad too bad for seventeen hundred dollars. You got
to go get it, yeah, fifteen hundred dollars. Yeah, you
gotta go get it.
Speaker 3 (18:03):
Well after you ask, okay, what neighborhood is it in
and what gang hangs around there for that price. But
this whole thing was so silly because it's fourteen per
like he's making fourteen million dollars per to twenty six guarantee. Listen, man,
it's a smitch over the franchise exactly. So what was
the hole of what you? And you you really are
(18:25):
lucky that Anthony Richardson and Gardner Mint you, okay, have
really kind of band aid and held this thing together.
Didn't Jonathan Taylor lead the league in Russia one year
at over eighteen hundred yards. When you're getting that type
of production on the ground, you have got to pay
that guy. Stop this BS owners, Okay, when you're getting
production out of your running backs, pay the guys you
(18:47):
talk about security. Now, just look, can I just set
up a little generational wealth for my kids and my grandkids? Damn?
I'm giving you my body, my blood, my sweat, my tears,
my health. I'm giving it to you and all you
fans and all you networks and all you sponsors every
damn Sunday. Y'all can't just let me just set up
for my kids and possibly my grant. I can't get
that out of y'all. That right there, man is what
(19:09):
blew me with this. But I know this is gonna
sound weird, but kudos to Earth Say for just getting
the damn deal done, because at the end of the day,
he's got his deal done, everybody can move on. The
real talk Erthse is still a jerk, like you're saying
what he said and acting away, he asks, That's how
I feel about the guy. But at the end of
the day, the rubber guy is money. I'm happy for
Jonathan Taylor. And guess what he's activated for tomorrow. He's
(19:31):
going against the Titans. I'm surprised that I haven't seen
anything he's starting. Have you seen anything that he's starting? No,
that mes be on a pitch count just because he
has gotten hit in the month start. Okay, yeah you do.
You just guarantee twenty six million dollars. Okay, here's your money,
Joe ass out there, let's go. But I think that
(19:52):
I think that, and this is what we missed the
entire was it worth it? Was it worth it?
Speaker 2 (19:58):
In a division right now that they had everybody in
their mom and had the Jaguars running away with this thing.
Well through four weeks it's two up, two down for everybody,
and everybody was it worth it?
Speaker 3 (20:10):
Because right now, maybe you win a game you lost.
I think that's why they get here the calls. I
think they look after the first four weeks and go,
you know what, this is winnable, this is winnable. Let's
get this done. This is winnable. Let's listen, suck the
money up, let's get this done. I think that's why
this bill got done. They're actually in first place, and
they've won two games on the road. Now you would
(20:31):
like them to win their home games, but they're on
two at home. But they've gone on the road in
one and they get the Titans at home tomorrow with
a real load spread. Is it to a point or something?
Something super close? Yeah, but I'm really interested in watching
this game. Like I said, I think I think he's
been in shape, man. I think he's been keeping himself up. Yeah,
you gotta play football. But the best way of man
is just to get out there and take a few
(20:52):
hits and see what's up. But I start them right
out there tomorrow, Man, throw them right out there one pm.
You playing.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
I just it's just, you know, we did all of
this hanging him and in hall and about you know,
I mean, you can see a trade they gonna are
they gonna? He wants to reset the market b and
the whole time, Well, I'm sitting here like, yo, I
think thirteen million a year gets it done. Fourteen million
a year gets it done. Sure, you don't want to
(21:19):
pay him like uh, Derrick Henry are Christian McCaffrey. Okay,
so what yeah, what's the big deal? Why don't you
just paying like don at the Taylor.
Speaker 3 (21:30):
You know what I'm saying, just a little bit over
the franchise tag, a little bit over, which is exactly
what they did, which is exactly what happened. They paid
him a little bit over the franchise tag.
Speaker 2 (21:40):
Josh Jacobs hun for a little bit over the franchise tag,
sain Kwon Barkley a little bit over the franchise tag.
Speaker 3 (21:45):
And you know what, you would have been good? Why
are you so there's think about you just named three teams.
What are these three owners doing though? Really at the
end of the day, because all these deals eventually got
done tailors, Yeah, I'll be it right before week five.
But all these deals got done that couldn't got done
in July, could have got done in August. These good
these deals, you wouldn't be in the situations you are now.
(22:07):
The Raiders, they're they're playing so bad on both sides
of the football other than Max Crosby that you know,
I guess you had to pay the league leading rusher
returned from last year his money. But Saquan is out,
so that kind of makes it a little like, oh
see those why you don't pay You're running backs easier, But.
Speaker 2 (22:21):
So I guess, don't pay anybody that because you're also
down three offensive linemen.
Speaker 3 (22:24):
Don't pay anybody what, you know what.
Speaker 2 (22:26):
We'll talk to Tyler Dragon about that. On the other
side of this update done by the illustrious and grace
Steve the Sager, Steve, what's going on, my friend?
Speaker 3 (22:33):
Hello, gentlemen.
Speaker 7 (22:34):
We will get to the details of the Georgia game
as they're dominating the first half of their top twenty
matchup at home against Kentucky. But we've got baseball playoffs
in progress and the Phillies are leading to nothing at
the top seeded Braves game one of the best of
five division series, top of the eighth inning, and Bryce Harper,
who was just walked earlier, had a solo home run
off the twenty game winning starter Brave Spencer. Strider went
(22:58):
the first seven innings, one earned run, a lot eight strikeouts,
was pulled after ninety four pitches and a long discussion
in the dugout that Harper home run a low line
drive that was one hundred and fifteen miles an hour.
As soon as you heard the crack of the bat,
the starting pitcher was yelling he knew that screamer was gone.
Two nothing fills on the road in the eighth Diamondbacks
(23:19):
at Dodgers will be the late game in under an hour.
Clayton Kershaw on the mound. Of course, he hasn't thrown
much over five innings for his starts coming off the
shoulder surgery injury. I should say not surgery, but don't
expect Kershaw to throw more than seventy five eighty five
pitches tonight at the most in the American League, top
seed at Orioles beaten at home in Game one by
the Texas Rangers three to two, and Houston with a
(23:41):
win from Justin Verlander, down the Twins six to four.
Now to college football at number one Georgia. In the
first half, quarterback Carson Beck has over two hundred and
fifty yards passing three touchdowns. The Georgia Bulldogs lead twenty
four to seven over Kentucky about ten minutes to go
second quarter. Numbers to Michigan now leads seventeen to three
(24:02):
at Minnesota about ten minutes left second quarter at number
sixteen old miss It's Mississippi ten to seven, leading Arkansas
Louisville ahead of notreed Aimes seven nothing early second quarter.
Georgia Tech at Miami scoreless late first and on Fox TV,
Wyoming at home leads number twenty four Fresno State three
nothing in the first quarter. Oklahoma beat number three Texas
(24:24):
in Dallas on a touchdown with fifteen seconds left, thirty
four to thirty. Texas had just kicked a field goal
for the lead. Number four Ohio State was down to
Maryland ten nothing in the second quarter, but Buckey's thirty
seven seventeen is the final. Number five Florida State defeated
Virginia Tech thirty nine seventeen. Eleventh ranked Alabama came away
with a win at Texas A and m twenty to
(24:46):
twenty six to twenty. Ucla at home got back to
back TD's early fourth quarter and beat number thirteen Washington
State twenty five seventeen, fourteenth ranked North Carolina a forty
to seven winner against Syracuse and in a top twenty
five matchup LSU one at Missouri forty nine thirty nine
with two touchdowns in the last three minutes. Among the
(25:07):
games in progress halftime at Arizona State, ASU leads Colorado
seventeen fourteen. If Colorado loses this, they would be zero
to three in conference play. The Colts gave running back
Jonathan Taylor a three year extension worth over twenty six
million dollars guaranteed. Las Vegas wide receiver DeVante Adams is
questionable for Monday night against the Packers. He did return
(25:29):
to limited practice today after last weekend shoulder injury. Lions
running back Jamiir Gibbs was downgraded to doubtful with his
bad hamstring. Detroit wide receiver Ama and Ross Saint Brown
is also doubtful for tomorrow with an abdominal injury. Wide
receiver Jamison Williams is active.
Speaker 3 (25:46):
Sunday.
Speaker 7 (25:46):
The Lions three to one will host Carolina, Oh and four.
Speaker 2 (25:50):
Back to you, thanks, Steve and without further ado, Let's
get my guy in here, NFL reporter for USA today,
Tyler Dragon.
Speaker 3 (26:00):
A little Tupac wash over. You go ahead, He's he's
on Twitter x whatever the hell you call the social
media at d Tyler Dragon, Tyler, how you doing, my friend?
Speaker 5 (26:11):
I'm always good once I hear the Tupac intro. So
it's all good on this Saturday.
Speaker 2 (26:16):
Well, look, yeah, I know he says he sees a changes,
but we saw it change in Indianapolis. Apparently there was
a The standoff is over. You wrote about this for
USA Today. The culture Jonathan Taylor are going to a
three year, forty two million dollar extension, twenty six guaranteed.
Speaker 3 (26:32):
Tyler. What's what what's the general feeling in Indianapolis right now?
Speaker 5 (26:38):
Relief? You look at the Colts see he's easily their
best player, especially on an offense, and you know, you
put him in the backfield. I think this Colts team
is it's gonna surprise a lot of people. You have
Anthony Richardson as a rookie quarterback, you pair him with
Jonathan Taylor in the backfield, and I think they can
(27:00):
do some good work with this young Colts team, especially
on the offensive side of the football. And they have
a significant test at home tomorrow against the Tennessee Titans.
So you have two of the top running backs that
are going to be on the field, and Derick Henry
for the Titans and Jhonathan Taylor for the Colts and
(27:21):
Taylor's season debut tomorrow. So it's a good feeling for
the Colts, and it's really one eighty compared to what
they were just a few months ago when Taylor asked
for a trade from Indianapolis.
Speaker 3 (27:34):
My man, Taal Dragon VJ verner Husky. Here, how you
doing this week? Brother?
Speaker 5 (27:38):
Good? How are you doing?
Speaker 3 (27:39):
I'm doing out standing? Man. If I wasn't, I would
never tell anybody but my therapist and God. So look,
let's go here, man, let's stay with those coats. Martin
and I were just talking in last segment. They're two
and two. Everybody's two and two in that division, and
I thought maybe they looked at each other and you know,
sat after the first Hobes and said, hey, hold up,
now we thought we could be maybe one and three,
prob all and four. We have a chance to win
(27:59):
this thing. Let's get this damn thing done. Let's stop
playing around. Let's get Anthony Richardson because he looks like
the goods the me, Tyler. I know it's earlier, but
the kid I love is Moxie and I just love
his body language in the way he presents himself on
the field. Is how do you feel about this? Because
there'd be some truth that out. They looked around and say, hey,
we probably can win this thing, or at least grab
a wild card in the playoffs and get to the
playoffs with a Rooki quarterback. Let's get this deal done.
Speaker 8 (28:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
I agree.
Speaker 5 (28:23):
When you look at the AFC South, a lot of
people thought that the Jaguars were going to run away
with the division. Now I still believe the Jaguars are
the favorite, but the Colts already beat the Jaguars the
first game of the season. Well, no excuse me, they lost,
but then they won against the Houston Texans and that's
(28:43):
in their division. They had a surprising win against the
Baltimore Ravens. So then they have a big division game
tomorrow against Tennessee Titans. So you look at this team
and it's really a testament to Anthony Richardson. He's exceeded
expectations thus far as a rookie quarterback. His ability to
be able to throw passes or accuracy and he's been
(29:06):
using his legs a lot. I think a lot of
people expected him to be, you know, that dual threat quarterback,
but I even think he's risen his level as a
dual threat quarterback and being able to run and extend
plays with his feet. So it's a lot of credit
to him because going into the season, I already knew
the Colts had a pretty good defense, that all offense
(29:28):
was going to be a lot to be desired. However,
Anthy Richards has picked up the slack and then they
get a major, major boost with Johnson Taylor returning to
the backfield.
Speaker 2 (29:37):
So I wanted to go from the AFC South to
the AFC West. Right now, the Raiders and the Broncos
both one and three. But the Praiders have only scored
sixty two points this season. They're being outscored sixty two
to one hundred and one points, which is pretty remarkable,
especially when you consider that the Broncos being outscored one
hundred and fifty to one hundred and the Broncos gave
(29:59):
up seventy to a team this year, so that's about
the margin right there. But John, I'm sorry, Josh Jacobs,
he said you wrote about this for USA today as well.
He's sick of losing, and that seems to be the
story coming out of Vegas and Denver for that matter,
both guys sick of losing. But I had Josh McDaniels
first coach fired. Is that back on the cash, Eyler,
where are you at with this?
Speaker 5 (30:21):
I think he has a longer lease than you would expect.
The owner likes him, and you know, really, Jimmy Garoppolo
was out last week because he was in concussion protogral.
He's expected to be back on Monday night when they
host the Green Bay Packers. But this Raiders team, it's
one to watch, especially with the trade deadline coming up
(30:43):
here shortly. When you have a Davante Adams voicing his displeasure,
when you have a Josh Jacobs staying publicly he's frustrated.
These are star players on the Raiders team, their best
two players on the offensive side of the football, and
they're sick of losing for what Jacobs faid, So they
continue to toss out ls each and every week. They
(31:07):
play the Packers this week, that's gonna be a tough game.
Then you has the Patriots. If they lose the next two.
That'll be a five game losing streak for the Raiders
before they get the Bears. And pretty much everybody beats
the Bears these days besides the Commanders, so maybe they
get a win that week. But it's something to watch
with the Raiders in the next coming weeks because a
(31:28):
lot of these players are frustrated, and if they get frustrated,
they can start asking for trade requests.
Speaker 3 (31:35):
We're talking to rapping with Tyler Dragon, NFL reporter from
USA Today Live on Fox Sports Radio, Martin and VJ.
Tyler Game. I want to go to tomorrow man Bengals
at the Cardinals. Now, I had the Cardinals, like a
lot of people did, probably be in the worst team.
But I always kept saying all summer long and all
through training camp, they'll still play hard, because I don't
believe NFL guys just roll over. I think maybe it'll
quit on the coach from time to time, but just
(31:55):
for seventeen games, guys are just not going to play.
That's not gonna happen. They're still playing for pay, checking
their money. And they played tough last week again San Francisco.
But San Francisco just has more Jimmy than Joe's and
then eventually that takes the game. But this Bengals team
going out there tomorrow plus nine and a half, Why
am I thinking of taking the Cardinals to win this game?
I think they've been great. They give up the big
(32:16):
lead to the Giants and lose that game, But this
team's got some guys that's got some MAXI and some
heart and still want to play. Man. Am I crazy
for thinking that the Cardinals could pull this off and
really send the Bengals into just a tail spin this year?
Speaker 5 (32:29):
So, the Cardinals have been competitive in every single game
besides the forty nine Ers game, They've been in one
score game. And I really have to give Johnson Gannon
the Cardinals that coach a lot of credit. At the
beginning of the season, I thought the Cardinals should have
hired Eric b Enemy, But Johnathan Ganton has this Cardinals
team playing hard every single Sunday, and they really if
(32:52):
you look at their depth charts, I look their roster,
they are not talented a team at all. They don't
have a lot of Pro Bowl in their roster, they
don't have a lot of All pros, and they're still
putting in games every single week and being very competitive
and against the Bengals, especially with Joe Burrow playing at
less than one hundred percent, I give them a legitimate shot,
(33:15):
especially being at home as well. They're going to blitch
Joe Burrow and as his gimpy cap and see if
he can extend plays with his feet and get out
of harm's way, because right now, Joe Burrow is a pocket,
I mean a statue in the pocket, and if he
cannot get out and protect himself, they're going to continue
to blitz, continue to get after him. And if he's
(33:36):
not able to show the ability to throw the ball downfield,
it's going to be another long day for Cincinnati Bengals
fans because if he's not able to do that, the
Cardinals are going to pull off the upset.
Speaker 3 (33:47):
Tyler, you just mentioned this. Most teams have beaten the
Bearsy That's right. It was like fifteen in a row.
And then to come how about this, ty Listen is
Justin Field has won six NFL games knock me out
of my survivor pool twice in the last two years.
How is that even possible? You know it's possible because
Ron Rivera's asleep at the wheel.
Speaker 2 (34:04):
How like, what are we doing here with Ron Rivera
and the Commanders just had an ownership change.
Speaker 3 (34:09):
Do you think he survives the year, Tyler?
Speaker 5 (34:12):
So it's funny. I'm used to Magic Johnson calling out
the Lakers after terrible losses, and now he's calling out
the Commanders. So I had to like recheck to make
sure I had it right. But yeah, it was man
the Commanders for them to give up that type of
loss to a Bear team that was reelling. Everybody was
talking about justin fields maybe not being in Chicago, Ibra
(34:35):
Flus on the hot seat. Oh man, you have to
point to Ron river and then you know their offense
attack as well. The offense was stuck in neutral the
entire game, and Ron Rivera really has to turn this
Commander's team around. The pressure is done with a new
ownership group. They didn't hire runs Rivera and they didn't
(34:56):
put the check mark all their players in the row.
So if they continue to struggle there and not win
these games, especially winnable games against the inferior teams, then yes,
Ron and beart to be a Nazi.
Speaker 3 (35:10):
Well, you're never on our hot seat, Tyler.
Speaker 2 (35:13):

Vernon Husky, the Big Vanilla Funny aka Uncle BJ. Out
here in hot La. It was nice a few weeks ago.
It's hot. It was one hundred degrees in the valley yesterday.
It's in the nineties again today. But it's cool because
I'm over here under the umbrella, chilling on the corner
of Vanilla Ab in Hansom Boulevard. Y'all know how I do.
(36:43):
I got some ice water and some homemade limonade. Y'all
come have a seat right here, take a little sip,
and I want to tell you guys about one of
the greatest football players to ever walk God's green earth.
He was born in Chicago, Illinois, back when December ninth,
in nineteen forty two. He was the baby of eight. No,
I wonder he was such a beast because he was
the run You know how the runt goes. If you
know about puppies and pit bulls and pets and little
(37:06):
animal was like that. They get all the good leftover juices.
He was thirteen pounds and six ounces when he was born.
That's gonna explain the gentleman a little more that I'm
talking about. Play some high school football when he was
out there in Illinois for Chicago Vocational High School, where
he played full back linebacker. He was the punter and
the place kicker when he's on offense, TiO, guess what.
(37:26):
He averaged five yards of carry and he was the
only eleventh grader up until that point in the history
of high school football Chicago to be named Player of
the Year, which means it always went to a senior,
not when this guy came around. He went off the
University of Illinois, replayed linebacker in center. He was a
two time All American. Actually got him a rose ball.
Went back in nineteen sixty three, won MVP of the
(37:46):
Big Ten, was Lineman of the Year, and was also
inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame twenty years
later in nineteen eighty three. In nineteen sixty five, he
was the number three overall pick in the NFL Draft.
He was a second round pick in the AFL Draft
by the Denver Broncos, and during his career, twenty two
interceptions twenty seven fumble recovers, which were both records when
(38:11):
he retired. Also to that sixty five draft had a
gentleman by the name of Gail Sayers that was picked
number four overall. How you like that one right there?
This man won picked by his original team. He was
actually picked in and traded by the Pittsburgh Steelers, so
you would have been a Steeler, but they were final
on the defensive side of the ball. This guy was
just so menacing Deacon Jones, who I think is the
greatest defensive player to ever play football, especially on the
(38:34):
defensive line, other than Lawrence Taylor. He was once quoted
as saying he is a well conditioned animal, and when
he hits you, he's not trying to put you in
the hospital. He's trying to put you in the cemetery.
This is another legend, talking about a legend that's serious.
Right now, now, I ain't trying to put you in
the hospital. He wants them to have to wear black
dresses and come say goodbye to you on some boys
(38:57):
to men? How do I say goodbye to yesterday? But
also in nineteen excuse me, in two thousand and nine,
NFL Network named him. He was the most fear tackler
of all time. Inducted it to the Pro Football Hall
of Fame in nineteen seventy nine because he had one
thousand and twenty tackles, eight Pro Balls, five Old Prowls,
Hall of Fame Sixties Team, Hall of Fame Seventies Team,
(39:19):
and a top NFL one hundred all time. Also, you
talk about durability for six years in the NFL when
they played fourteen games, got some man games. He started
guys fourteen and he started thirteen two other times. That's
how awesome. He was. The animal being forcer, the Maiestro Mayhem,
the robot of destruction. He went home to be with
(39:39):
the Good Lord on October fifth, out here in Malibu
at eighty years old. The guy that makes line backing
in the middle what it is todays. He stood a
six four, two hundred and forty five pounds, which was
a monster back then. He put on any film. Guys,
he's the greatest middle linebacker to possibly ever play the sport,
one of the greatest football players to ever played the sport.
(40:00):
Mister Richard Marvin Buckets, resting peace, sir, hey man. This
week you are the Vanilla Brother of the week week
Week Week Week. Shout out to Ron Rivera for allowing
the Bears to get a win that day. Dick Bucks
did day they see hey man, football guys, baby, That's
(40:21):
why I believe in him. Uh football guys, I believe
Ron Vera. Sleep at the wheel, all right?
Speaker 2 (40:26):

We'll help you get there with an unmaxed election fast
free shipping Ferrod as a protection, and over ten thousand
recommended this dollars tyrack dot com. It's the way Tyre
Bryn should be. Sam Hartman just heaved it sixty yards
in the air on third and thirteen. As the second
half of that second quarter of that game is winding
down fifty seconds left, fourth and thirteen, Notre Dame is
(41:05):
going to go ahead and punk to Louisville and the
seven to seven matchup of two top twenty five teams.
Speaker 3 (41:10):
Uh, you just said it in the break. I don't
want to steal your thunder. I'll just say this. I
bet Louisville today, and I bet Duke yesterday last week,
and I bet Ohio State three weeks ago. This Notre
Dame teams for gayzy get heard of their first Nah, they're
not good. This this Notre Dame teams not good. Man
and I picked Louisville to win the Day two. They
should have. They probably should have already dropped other games
like you said they should have. They should have lost
(41:32):
the Duke. They did lose to Ohio State, and they're
gonna lose this game tonight. But this is the third game.
I believe this year something's up with the offense. Offense
isn't good. People were saying Hartman was gonna win the
Heisman off of what it was that the Navy game
over that they played in Dublin. And they have single
digit scoring and going going into halftime the third time
Nordre Dame has less than ten points in the first
(41:54):
half and they're about to punt this thing away with
fifty seconds left, seven to seven. Fourth and thirteen and
give Louisville actually probably pretty good field of position depended
upon how to return does and you know where they
can get the ball to and they get it down
to the forty nine, so thirty nine seconds from there
with all three time outs, so this half isn't over,
but it's seven to seven. But Norder Dame, you gotta
(42:15):
be kidding me, man. I never try to really be
that Norder Dame bang on Norder Dame guy, even though
I'm a big Michigan man. But you know, if they
got a good team, I can admit it. This team
right here is just average at best, and no wonder
they want to stay away from conferences. They'd get their
ass kicked with a team like this and got seven
points on the board going into the half. Also something
(42:36):
too really quick. I think what we're seeing with some
of the other top teams, mart is there there, Wills
are starting to spend like George's kind of struggled. They're undefeated,
but they haven't been impressedive you your point. This is
the first week that Georgia has seemingly come out and
just curb stump somebody. If they have a three touchdown lead.
Verus Tennessee at first Kentucky rather at half, like, yeah,
this is like the first time they come out. And
(42:57):
you know how I look at football, there's some Saturdays
or Sundays, depending upon what level, there's all fridays off.
It's high school. Where when you come out, if you
should be stomping the opponent, then that's what I need
to see. I gotta understand. Sometimes you turn the ball
over to bad game. You may be missing a tackle,
missing the quarterback, missing your best dB or your best
middle linebacker, rush guards. I get variables in football, but
(43:17):
for the most part, Georgia should be coming out and
doing this to Kentucky. Even though Kentucky's look good, they're ranked,
they're undefeated. They don't get kids that Georgia wants. They
don't have us. They don't have a guy that's starting
for them that can start for Georgia on either side
of the ball anywhere right now. So why shouldn't I
not be kicking your ass? That's what I really need
to see. Like the fact that Michigan's almost got a
(43:38):
thirty burger on the board going into the first half,
we know they won't cover. They don't like doing that
for Martin and I they I cheer so hard for him.
I think that's why I never win money on them.
It's because I cheer so hard and I'm such a fan.
You can't cheer for them to cover the spread. Oh
I've cheered for them the cover spread. I've been for
them the covering spread. They lost me like four games
last year month money money games last year not covering
(43:58):
the spread. And that's okay, that's fine. Like thirty seven
and a half, thirty eight nine, they weren't coverings. I said, Okay,
maybe it's meant for me to just cheer for you.
But I do think we're starting to see some of
these top teams. Alabama today, Oklahoma and Texas. I was
impressed with both of those clubs today. I think we're
starting to see some of the top teams.
Speaker 5 (44:15):
Now.
Speaker 3 (44:15):
They got their wheels, grease man, they got their tires.
You know they're not you know, driving in, running in
quick saying, they're starting to flex who they are. We're
better than you, we're bigger, we're stronger, we're coach better,
we got better players. And as the year goes on,
it's starting I think week five, now week six, we're
starting to see that separation college football. The Philadelphia Phillies
have a three to nothing lead over the Braves.
Speaker 2 (44:36):
As that game's going to the bottom of the line,
Craig Kimball warming up. I'm sure he'll be pitching the
ninth for the Phillies close it. They try to hold
on that through nothing the league. We'll keep you updated
with that one as well as we're spinning around the
college football landscape in the different divisional series in both
the American and the National League.
Speaker 3 (44:53):
I'm excited for this Dodgers Diamondbacks matchup, especially like Steve
Hartman put me on this the second earlier today, Merril
Kelly is like disastrous against the Dodgers, and for whatever reason,
that's who the Diamondbacks decided to start in Game one
of this thing. It's just a crazy way to I mean,
you know, baseball is a lot of it is you know,
what are this guy's numbers versus these pitchers?
Speaker 2 (45:14):
What's this guy's numbers versus this team? And it seems
like anybody would have been a better option than Merril
Kelly to start this game for the Diamondbacks. But he's
gonna be the one toe on the rubber.
Speaker 3 (45:23):
I have a theory about that though. Okay, all right,
well we before we got on air, you told me,
you told me what when it comes to runs in baseball,
you kind of live by repeat what you said to
me in.
Speaker 2 (45:32):
A break run well, because you were talking about the
Rangers and how one should have had more runs because
you know, Marcus Simeon struck out with the bases loaded
in the bottom of the fourth, And yeah, I think
this goes back to when I was covering the Tigers
in twenty twelve, But it seemed anecdotally, of course, that
every time they scored like seven eight runs in a game,
the next day they'd come out and score one or two.
Speaker 3 (45:53):
So I just kind of like, some runs, save some
runs for tomorrow. I've always had to believe that, like, say,
a few runs for the barrow.
Speaker 2 (46:01):
I'm not saying I guess the strongest baseball strategy Itespposedly,
if you're a big fan of bet in, they over,
but it just feels like sometimes it's like, all right,
we get it, we get it.
Speaker 3 (46:08):
You're pounding this team. Save some runs for tomorrow. So
with that theory, then on the flip side, okay, who's
the better team The Dodgers. Right, sure, so game one
you probably aren't gonna get anyway, would you rather depend
on this guy to get you a game one? Or
say you're still game two and now we're going back
to Zona and your better pitchers are now available for
(46:30):
you that you can throw out there, that you know
that have proper rest, had maybe a little more rest
than some of the other guys. And when you get
if you could get back to Arizona one to one
and or try to save this series, even if you
go back to oh, say hey we gotta get this
one tonight. We need our better arms. You don't pitch
this guy tonight. You might got to use him in
(46:50):
game three or game four. So I think that might be.
Like you said, it's not the numbers, don't say throw
him out there. But if I'm gonna throw somebody out there,
I don't think they're winning this game. They might get
they can get killed tonight, Right, Dodgers have that type
of firepower. They've been sitting around resting. They're throwing out
Kershaw's starting for the Dodger's night, Right, So Kershaw's going
(47:10):
to the bump week off. Yep. Soirk Kershaw's going to
the bump tonight and yeah, you're probably the Mookie's been
on fire they dude, this team is this team's really
we out here in LA we live here. We hear
about him every day, we see him every day. This
seems really good. Maybe throw out the maybe throw out
the junk early. Who knows, right, But if you got
to depend on this guy in game three or game four,
if he can get to that, now you're in real trouble.
(47:32):
So just you know, reverse psychology. Maybe what's your strategy
or thoughts on the strategy of pitching guys on short rest. Okay,
so I come from are. If I'm gonna talk about
pitch count, then I have to keep it real about this.
If a guy can go, he goes. And even with
the short that short rest crap. If you can go,
you go. You know your team, you've been with them
(47:54):
one hundred and sixty two games, and some of these
players you've been with him for a few years or more.
You know whether you're guy can go or not. You
go to him as a man and say, listen, can
you give it? Can you give me six tonight? Dude?
Most players I can't. But you're gonna know whether he's
bs and you were telling you the truth. So if
you're saying that, no, you go to your horse and
you go, hey, short rests, you want it, you want
(48:14):
the ball tonight, you want to bump to night. He's
probably going, yeah, I got your skipper, all right, we
give me six tonight. Man. That's how I james your question.
That's how I would handle it. But they don't do
that now. Yeah, yeah, I kind of win the same
boat there. If you got to then go out there
and uh, these are when the games come. We'll have
a long vacation, a lot of rest coming up if
(48:35):
you don't win. Yeah, you're a lot of rest coming up.
Right now, Colorado should door standers back to pass. He
throws a compote over the top of the tight end. There.
It's seventeen to fourteen with just about five minutes left
in the third quarter. If Colorado loses to Arizona State,
mind you, Arizona State the sun Devils right now, one
and four on the year, Kenny Dillingham in the middle
(48:55):
of a rebuild. If they lose to this team, there'll
be three and three on the season, one three impact
twelve playe start. Yeah, they will and then the narrative
will start to change. I you know me, all right,
put mine out and you put your win told, I'll
put my win to I still got to stick on it.
When if you look at the schedule, you don't think
they're going on the road and losing this game quick
cydebar as Louisville just misses a field goal to take
(49:18):
a ten to seven league with one second left, second
quarter going to that. So there you have it right there.
Neither one of these teams can score. But yeah, if
Colorado loses this game, this is gonna be ugly. They're
one and four. It is on the road. You talk
about Arizona State, We're loving to run the football, but
they're not pounding them into the ground running the football.
So it just feels like I told you during break,
I'm looking at sher Sanders with twenty five, twenty six,
(49:40):
twenty seven attempts already. That that's high because now he's
gonna end up in the forties. So that would be
what three or four straight games of forty attempts some more.
I might have thrown forty in all games in all
games so far. You might be right. So I thought
maybe the Nebraska game it was maybe a little down,
but I know he did it against Oregon. I know
he had to throw more than forty times against SC
last week also too. So you know they have they
(50:00):
have to get this win. I hope they do because
if they don't. Man, if you thought people were coming
after coach Prime in the program and all the moxie before,
just waiting till they lose at Arizona at as you say,
one in four Arizona State, that that end that can
get real ugly. Man. Yeah, no, shed Or center just
got sacked and fumbled. I mean that he got three
guys on top of him. This Colorado on his line
(50:21):
is horrible. This offensive line is gonna need a little
bit of help here. But you know what, let's close
out this segment talking about Jalen Milroe. They said you
couldn't play Jalen. They said Nick Saban didn't have a quarterback.
Speaker 2 (50:32):
Well, twenty one for thirty two today, three hundred and
twenty one yards, three touchdowns and what is probably the
best game of his short career so far, even though
he did have five he was coming for five touchdowns,
but that was against Middle Tennessee State. And it goes
back further and further back to that South Florida game
in which they started ty Buckner and he saw Tie.
It was I think they're both named Tie, Tyler Buckner
(50:54):
and Ty Simpson. In that game they scraped by South
Florida seventeen to three, and everybody was this is after
the Texas loss, and you know, Alabama's dead and buried
and done for.
Speaker 3 (51:06):
But I kept telling people, man, I'm like, look, Saban
has had. The last four quarterbacks he's had have either
been Heisman candidates or you know, first second round pick,
our National championship winners.
Speaker 2 (51:19):
How about starting in the NFL. Right across the board,
They're all starting in the NFL right now, right, No,
you're right, And you know what, not everybody has that.
Not everybody's going to have that, is Jalen Mirrou an
NFL quarterback.
Speaker 3 (51:31):
Probably not, but that's fine. All you gotta do is
play in the SEC right now. Yeah. But you know what,
though I'm I've never said I don't think he's an
NFL quarterback. I think you can improve as the time
goes on. He's not a senior. He's got time to
get thatcher freshman last year. He's got time to get
better and make himself into an NFL receiver. I do
(51:52):
believe guy, excuse me, quarterback, thank you. I do believe
guys can make themselves into pro players. He may not
look like it right now now, but if you keep
him in the same system, he stays there, you add
some more weapons. Bond seems to be his number one receiver.
Now you know they're gonna run the football, you know, Bama.
I tell you one thing that did look like Obama
today was that D line in those linebackers. That front
seven was wreaking havoc and just raising hell all game long.
(52:16):
But Milroe twenty one to thirty three, three twenty one,
the three touches man, the one pick I saw, It's like, okay,
I mean he's gonna he's young, he's in experience, he's
gonna make some mistakes, and that's just, you know, it
is what it is. But I think they need to
do they didn't. Now they need to find a running back.
I was talked about the receivers and now I'm looking
at the running game. It seems like by committee. But
they got a guy man in in a Bond and
(52:37):
Jermaine Burton Man Jermaine nine for one ninety seven today,
running free in the secondary, breaking tackles after getting catches too,
And that's what we're used to seeing with Bama. So no,
they're not They're not buried. I still think they can
get to the SEC championship game. I just still question
is Milroe gonna be enough at the quarterback position for
you to compete for a national championship. But everything else
on the road today, hostile environment. They went and got
(52:59):
the dub. So salute the mill Row and congratulations the Alabama.
The Phillies also got the dubb.
Speaker 2 (53:03):
Craig Campbell will get to save with much ado about
nothing there three to nothing over the Braves. They take
game one of the nlds over there. But you know,
I V I'm gonna take the last wind of this segment. Sure,
and I'm gonna give you a pat on the back
because you say it never happens the other day. Last week,
you said that Justin Fields had the opportunity to be
the best player on the field versus the Broncos and
(53:26):
the Bears.
Speaker 3 (53:28):
And even though he had a sack.
Speaker 2 (53:29):
Fumble that ended up costing them a game in a
costing interception at the end, he played much better than anybody.
Speaker 3 (53:34):
Expecting him to except for you. And then in Thursday night.
Speaker 2 (53:42):
Now I'm of the belief it was a lot of
DJ Moore, seeing as he did not complete a pass
to another wide receiver besides DJ Moore, and of the
two hundred eighty two yards passing, he had two hundred
and thirty yards receiving.
Speaker 3 (53:52):
But Justin Fields was a.
Speaker 2 (53:53):
Guy who got him the ball and is now tied
with your other boy, Kirk Cousins among the league leaders
of touchdown passes.
Speaker 3 (54:00):
She was not the last time we talked. So there
you go. Congratulations. Field been playing with I appreciate that.
I love I love my man J Fields. I'm riding
with him.
Speaker 7 (54:07):
Man.
Speaker 3 (54:08):
When I started with you, I gotta stay with you
to you really just play bad or do something stupid
off the field to the court. Uh, and then and
then I gotta and then I gotta let you go.
But I told you guys, he'd be the best player
in the field that Bronco game, and he was. No,
he wasn't. And then in the Bronco game, I thought
he was the best player in Well he just I mean,
he gave me had the funk. Yes, he had to
trust me, bro, I screamed out loud, Martin. I was
watching the game. I yelled out loud. And I don't
(54:30):
yell when I'm watching the game. That's not my style.
I watched the game really in peace and then solace, Man,
I don't watch football yelling and screen. What are you doing.
I don't watch football that way. I don't watch sports
that way. I've never been that guy. But I screamed
out loud. My daughter was the journey was startled. She
looked up at me. I said, I'm sorry, Daddy's fine.
I just I've been talking this guy up, honey, and
(54:50):
he just cost daddy. He just calls Daddy some some
cool points right now. But the one thing I will
say about Jay Fields, like any other quarterback, you have
to have. Quarterback is so great finicky at the same time,
but you gotta have a good front office. You gotta
have a good franchise. You gotta have good parts around
for any quarterback to be successful. Do you love Dj Moore?
I like Dj Moore? That got him that. They got
(55:10):
to just clean up some other stuff there too, man.
But yeah, man, Justin philis is playing. He's playing well
the last two weeks and he's the goods he's a
big guy, and he's the goods man. He can get
it done. They just need to fix it up. Coming
up next, this guy making his season debut Across the Pond,
Martin VJ.

Funny and uh, you know our our Houston listener, one
(55:47):
of our Houston listeners said, you know my bad bro. Uh,
the Astros took a leader in the Alds as well.
He tweeted us no love for the Astro Ashs went up,
want nothing in the Alds as well.
Speaker 3 (55:59):
That's the home right there. He listens to us and
puts our show on in their sports bar whenever they
don't have the games on there. So we we definitely
appreciate that man. Ramiro, my man Ramiro ringconemirod kon what's up?
Speaker 2 (56:13):
I by Clishaw has pitched, has thrown six pitches so far,
and the Diamondbacks have a won nothing lead with the
guy on first, Brandon, would you just say a minute ago?
Speaker 3 (56:24):
Playoff? Kurshaw, here we go. Best time of the year,
Brandon yelling, best time of the year. He's in our
ear best time of the year. And Kershaw just gave
up another hit already.
Speaker 8 (56:35):
Wow, dres Fan whose team is on the couch and
it has been on the count.
Speaker 3 (56:38):
I feel you, nah, I don't get I never get mad.
I'm not thinking, Oh, where's your team? I hate that stuff?
Hey you hate him? Hey, bro, your team's home. You
should hate it. You should be hating even more interesting
teams that are there right now.
Speaker 2 (56:51):
Kershaw has on out his seventh pitch, which was a
single to Tommy Fan, and before that he gave up
a double to Kettle Martee to start this whole dance,
and then Corman Carroll with they Know I'm sorry, gave
up a double to cut On Marte.
Speaker 3 (57:03):
Then Tommy Fam had a single.
Speaker 2 (57:05):
Now Corbyn Carroll with another single to have a one
nothing lead for the Diamondbacks. With two on and nobody
out on the top of the first inning.
Speaker 3 (57:12):
Yeah, but Kershaw, and it's almost old news because we
live here and he's so great in the regular season.
He's been great in his career. But people amazing. But
people do sweep cause he does kind of get a
pass for his postseason shortcomings. We don't bang on People
don't bang on him nearly as much as any other
athlete in any of the sport for as great as
(57:32):
he is, like the level he is, for his post
coming his postseason short comings, he gets a lot of passes. Martin,
I'm not.
Speaker 2 (57:40):
Sure, but I mean, I think it's pretty pretty known,
especially when you got Brandon coming on talking about it's
the best time of the years. Like, it's pretty known
that Kershaw has been great in the regular season to
struggled in the postseason.
Speaker 3 (57:50):
I think it's a okay. I feel like he gets
I feel like he didn't get just you know, he
didn't get the banging that some other players like I said,
that are great in their sport. He's great in his
sport and has the postseason shortcomings that he that he does.
Like Josh Allen, right, Josh Allen is great in his
sport as a quarterback. But what do people really bang
(58:11):
on him back? It turns the ball over and he
does it at the most opportune time, most likely in
the playoffs, And that's definitely thrown out there a lot.
I just didn't think he's because he's also a nice guy.
He's a good guy. When you're a nice guy and
the good guy in the media likes you, things of
that nature, that does work in your favor with the
narrative that's drilled into you out there, right Brandon, Yeah, Yeah.
Speaker 8 (58:31):
I mean I have all the respect in the world
for Kursh of course, he's a Hall of Fame pitcher,
first ballot. He's fantastic. He just you know, unfortunately he
has some lapses in the postseason across his career.
Speaker 3 (58:42):
Yep, absolutely, I'm with you, man. Then they just then
they lose the wild card to the Nationals a few
years back. Was that right before COVID, Right before the
COVID lost the division the divisions here, Yeah, to the Nats.
And then that's went on and one at that year,
if I'm not mistaken, So yes, they did, and he
got lit up. He got lit up in one of
the most inopportune time that he gave up some home
run late in the game, came in, he came relief,
came in out of the bullpen, and got lit up.
(59:04):
So yeah, he's been there, done that. But you know,
we'll see how this one turns out. Colorado just scored
a touchdown right now. I know everyone is talking about it.
This thing's on Pat twelve.
Speaker 2 (59:14):
That remember, the first three weeks of the season of
the Colorado was the talk of the town. They lost
two games in a row and everybody forgot I did.
And I will say this though, after looking at it,
I think Deon should have came up with something different
than leaders and dogs because that l on your door,
Sander's chest.
Speaker 3 (59:32):
Yeah, it looked worse and worse and worse every week.
Oh you're smart. I'm a big as a jab. That
was a jaz because it's not no, because you would
think it's something that people somebody would photoshop legitimately, you
would think that's like the sea its l it's something
that somebody would Photosoh no, no, it's real, it's real.
They need to win this game. You did, you said
that if they lost terrible low. Yeah, we were talking
(59:54):
during the break. You said if they lost, I said,
and I agree with you, And I know, I don't
know if there's anybody here at this entire network that's
talked up Coach Prime in Colorado more than me. You're
probably the number one Yeah, yeah wins New York six Ball,
I said, I said at double double digits after the
before the US, I said eight wins, and I'm sticking
(01:00:15):
with my eight or more wins. I still think that
they can do that. Plus, I did love about the story.
You gotta see the story that poked out yesterday about uh,
they've been invited to the Peach Bowl. People went crazy
yesterday saying that the Peach Ball wants them there. But
I do believe they'll be in a bigger but not
the big big bulls. But I think I said KI,
and you know the KI and the Peach Bowl bulls
(01:00:35):
like that. I think that they'll they can get it too.
But this would be a horror blel a horrorble loss
if they were to go down to one in four
Arizona State and drop this football game. You gotta get
this dub right here, because you don't want to start
three and oh and then lose three and oh you
you lose some of the kids, you lose your momentum.
And Dion's built this program in this ride right now
(01:00:56):
off momentum and making any story puts the focus on
the kids. So they got to go get this one.
But he won the seventeen fourth quarter, fourteen twenty two
left in the game, so I think they get this
one markin. Hopefully they do, but I think they saw
just one.
Speaker 2 (01:01:07):
I just want to know how those Shadoor Sanders and
Travis Hunter Heisman tickets are doing from week one.
Speaker 3 (01:01:12):
I told you not the Bettan told you not the Bettit.
Who's your hysband? Right now? You know what real? Quoe,
Let's go on, who's your Yismond?
Speaker 2 (01:01:18):
I'm gonna answer that one, okay, after I kick it
to Steve di Seger because remember all that stuff we
were talking about Clayton Kershaw.
Speaker 3 (01:01:24):
It's gotten worse since Steve. What's going on, my guy?
Speaker 7 (01:01:26):
Actually, one thing I've thought about seeing this first inning.
I don't know if you saw the first play, is
there was an announcer in the playoffs this week that
on TV said, I don't know what it takes for
an error to be charged these days in Major League.
Speaker 3 (01:01:38):
Baseball, it's it's been an epidemic.
Speaker 7 (01:01:41):
Well, the first guy today, Ketto Marte, good hitter for Arizona.
He hits one that's just flat dropped by the center
fielder off the heel of his glove and dropped, and
they ruled it a double.
Speaker 3 (01:01:50):
No, that's it air.
Speaker 7 (01:01:51):
So technically it's four straight hits and none of these
will be unearned drugs.
Speaker 3 (01:01:55):
No, Steve, we got to bring back defense, all right.
Speaker 2 (01:01:58):
I mean we're watching all these high scores and college
football in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (01:02:02):
I mean, of course, seventy points. Look, uh so many
plays if the guy could get that. You see guys
just fielding ground balls and not throwing. It's like, oh,
it must have been a hit if he could have Like, no, no, no, no, no,
it's an error. Right back defense.
Speaker 7 (01:02:14):
The standard I thought was supposed to believe, with normal
effort you can make the play. Yes, a major leaguer
with normal effort would have made that play. There was
no dive there was it was just flat dropped. So yeah,
it's a two nothing Arizona lead. In the top of
the first we mentioned last hour with Clayton Kershaw after
the shoulder problems this year, not expecting him to pitch
(01:02:37):
more than say, seventy five to eighty five pitches, Max.
It's already a twenty pitch first inning looking for his
first out. Just for the record, and they mentioned that
on tonight's broadcast. He has a winning record in the postseason. Yeah,
but the losses have been so notable and he's just
allowed a long ball. So that's five nothing Arizona in
the first But he had, like in twenty twenty was sensational,
(01:02:59):
including again Houston or twenty seventeen, I should say including
against Houston. Twenty twenty was largely sensational and they won
the World Series. But going back, say a decade, he
had two awful games against the Cardinals in the playoffs. Yeah,
and I think that kind of started the whole conversation.
So an early lead for Arizona at Dodger Stadium. And
(01:03:19):
keep in mind no NL games tomorrow. Game two with
a rookie on the mound for LA Bobby Miller will
be on Monday night. As for the other National League
game this evening, the Phillies win the opener of the
best of five and Atlanta beating the top seed Braves
three to zhing Bryce Harper with a solo home run.
As far as the openers in the American League Division Series,
(01:03:40):
Texas a three to two winner at top seed Baltimore
Houston and Justin Verlander beat Minnesota six to four. As
for college football dominance, at number one Georgia, tonight, Bulldog's
lead now thirty four to thirteen against twenty aeth thrank
Kentucky in the third quarter, Carson Beck three touchdown passes
now one interception, but he has three hundred and forty
(01:04:01):
eight yards passing for Georgia in about two and a
half quarters. Number two Michigan is leading twenty four ten
at Minnesota early in the third at sixteenth ranked Ole
Miss at seventeen to seven, Mississippi beating Arkansas as they
start the third. Starting the third quarter, Notre Dame tied
at Louisville seven seven halftime at number seventeen Miami Hurricanes
three to nothing over Georgia Tech and on Fox TV,
(01:04:24):
twenty fourth ranked Fresno State is getting upset at Wyoming
Cowboys twenty four to seven at the break. Fresno State
five and oh. This year, they've got the second longest
winning streak behind Georgia in the country. Early fourth quarter.
Colorado has scored to take the lead at Arizona State
twenty one seventeen. What a game in Dallas at the
Cotton Bowl today, with Oklahoma beating number three in rival
(01:04:47):
Texas thirty four to thirty on a touchdown with fifteen
seconds left. Number four Ohio State pulled away to defeat
Maryland thirty seven seventeen wins for Florida State and North
Carolina LSU won at Missouri ninety nine with two touchdowns
in the last three minutes. UCLA upset Number thirteen Washington
State twenty five seventeen and number eleven Alabama gotta win
(01:05:09):
at Texas A and M twenty six twenty the baseball
up date, Kershaw has picked up his first out top
of the first Arizona five to nothing leader in La.
By the way, and they talked to him broadcast tonight,
Clinton Kershaw might be unanimous for the Hall of Fame,
not just a first ballot Hall of Famer. His career
has been phenomenal. I think Justin Verlander's a first ballot
(01:05:30):
Hall of Famer. His World Series ERA for his career
is five point sixty three. He had never won a
World Series game until last year. It just happens sometimes.
Speaker 3 (01:05:39):
Back to you, Steve, let me just throw this as
you with Kershaw, Why do you think, like for a
picture as great as he is, you your baseball storian,
But why do you think guys like this do struggle
when the lights are like right now, you watch your
We watch this again. He's getting rocked, dude, Like this
isn't his command is separate.
Speaker 7 (01:05:56):
I think this is separate from the other failures in
the postseason because he doesn't have a fastball anymore. He
used to be able to throw ninety three mile an
hour fastball and seventy three curved. He almost never touches
ninety three anymore. This patch of the day was a
four seamer that went nine. To your point, he has
to adapt or else. And there's no guarantee that he'll
be pitching next year at all. Every offseason he talks
(01:06:18):
it over with his family and we'll see. I will
say that I'm glad Brandon mentioned the loss that he
had against the Washington Nationals in the Division Series twenty nineteen.
That was when they brought him out of the bolten
and he tried a change up and it got hit
out of the part.
Speaker 3 (01:06:34):
Yeah, about to say I got put into the rye
Phil stands.
Speaker 7 (01:06:37):
I think earlier in his career he had a mentality
of it's been so good in the regular season, I
can't fail in the postseason. And he talked earlier this
week that it's gotten to the point after that Washington game,
you know what, just screw it his words, Let's just
get out there, and you know, and we've seen success,
like in twenty twenty of him in the postseason repeating
(01:06:58):
he has a winning record in the postseason. It's just
when the failures are there like tonight, it's noticeable.
Speaker 3 (01:07:03):
Yeah, it's and then in five to nothing in the hole,
this isn't nothing to sneeze at. And this team's they've
been on the road, they went and they swept their
their wild card. Dodgers haven't played in a week, so
they've been sitting around got yeah, yeah, exactly, yeah, exactly.
And I was gonna ask you guys that too. Do
you think that really matters in the these teams that
get this by Is this really a good thing because
(01:07:24):
you've been sitting around and you got a team coming
in like the Rangers today, right, The Oils won one
hundred games. Braves last year, and this absolutely and but
you get this Rangers team that had a slump, they
go and they wipe out Tampa, and and and after
after failing on the last day of the year, losing
one to nothing. In the joke is they were flying
over Dallas finding Tampa haven't been home a long joint
(01:07:46):
and Bruce said, hey, look out the window. We're over
Dallas right now. That's where we should be landing guys.
And that's kind of been the funny story. But you know,
going to Baltimore today, Baltimore are one guy do anything,
that one hitter do anything. And I just think that
maybe it is the this first round by Brandon, Maybe
this saysn't such a super great thing. You want to
Baseball is the sports you got it. You gotta be
(01:08:06):
playing right well.
Speaker 7 (01:08:08):
If you get one great starting pitcher, it puts everything
right in a postseason.
Speaker 3 (01:08:13):
And so that's what what is.
Speaker 7 (01:08:15):
The weakness of the Dodgers this year the starting pitching
because they needed Kershaw to have a good start tonight,
because they have a guy who's never pitched in the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (01:08:24):
On Monday.
Speaker 7 (01:08:25):
They have Lance Lynn maybe starting Wednesday, who led the
league in allowing home runs. They've got nothing in the rotation.
Speaker 3 (01:08:30):
And you got, Mari here a question in the diamondback start.
Well he is, oh and eleven. There's not much much
better and it looks like Kershaw's getting all. That's another error. Oh,
James out and that's an error.
Speaker 7 (01:08:45):
He just spits another one. But that was a dive.
They won't call it an air, but it's six nothing.
Speaker 3 (01:08:50):
Wow, Mar, why do you think that? Why? Why why
they struggling to call them things? They brandon job? Why
did they call it? Struggling to call it an air?
What is the what's the deal with that? In baseball?
Is apparently offense cells? They say, it's like it so
it's trickery.
Speaker 7 (01:09:02):
It's just putting the ball in play is what we
need as an entertainment. Call it a hit or an air,
just beyond the.
Speaker 3 (01:09:07):
Ball still in play? Right, the ball still employed? Right,
we got what we wanted. I mean to your to
your point about.
Speaker 7 (01:09:13):
Rita's being pulled after a third of an inning of
a playoff game.
Speaker 3 (01:09:16):
That's rough.
Speaker 7 (01:09:18):
So a rookie, one of the many rookies they've had
to call up from Triple A this year, is coming
on in relief in the first inning six nothing Dbak, Well,
to your.
Speaker 8 (01:09:27):
Point a little bit about you know, teams in the wildcard.
I'm sure Steve could look this up, but there there
was a stat I think I saw last year where
the teams in the wild card have made like at
least one from each league has made the ALCS or
the NLCS consistently. I think it is like just last year, Yeah,
the Phillies and the Padres both played wild Card weekend.
Speaker 3 (01:09:50):
Yeah, absolutely so.
Speaker 8 (01:09:51):
I mean I think it's just kind of like getting
your guys kind of going. It's not baseball. You play
every day, so you're used to playing every day. When
you have a week off, it's kind of like, you know,
you get out of your routine. It's very routine oriented game.
Speaker 7 (01:10:04):
Wait, quick perusal. The shortest playoff start I can find
with Kershaw was three innings. Just for the record, he's
been he's been in playoff games for fifteen years.
Speaker 3 (01:10:12):
So you're saying that one third of an inning is
probably gonna be his shortest.
Speaker 5 (01:10:16):
Not.
Speaker 7 (01:10:17):
The point is it's by far, because usually he can
go at least five and he's had you know what
did they say? This is like twenty eight thirty eight
appearances he's had in postseason ridiculous. He and Verlander were
going up against guys today who literally never had postseason appearances.
In the same day, we had two of the broadest
differences in starting pitching matchups as far as postseason experience.
Speaker 3 (01:10:39):
For Lander won his game. You guys, ladies and gentlemen,
boys and girls, listen, you guys love you see why
I love to bring Steve Man. You get that type
of information right there, Hod damn theanys Steve. I love
that stuff. Man, What you got for me? Mark Man?
It's kershaw Man. That's bad, bro, that's ugly. Yeah, it
absolutely is maybe one one out record. Suchet hits six
(01:11:02):
are and runs one walk through thirty five pitches. It
looks like he just pitched seven innings.
Speaker 7 (01:11:07):
I mean, Merril Kelly has not taken the mound yet.
The Arizona starter, who, by the way, not just and
eleven against the Dodgers. This is the most career losses
anybody's had without a win against an opponent right before
they face that same opponent in the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (01:11:23):
Geez, that's high level right there, man.
Speaker 2 (01:11:25):
And that's the funny thing in baseball too, because like
you can pitch well and still lose.
Speaker 3 (01:11:29):
You know what I'm saying that type of thing.
Speaker 2 (01:11:30):
Yeah, of course, like you know, Jordan Lyles, when owen thirteen,
I think are owing fourteen to start to start the
year for the Kansas City Royals, but obviously they steak.
Speaker 7 (01:11:40):
Yes, Zach Ranky Ones, I think one in fifteen until
the final day Royals.
Speaker 2 (01:11:44):
So we'll see what Merrill Kelly and his incredible losing
record against the Dodgers will do if we ever get
to the U the bottom of the first inning. As
with the Dodgers, rookie he just said his name, he
takes the mound right now. He's got to get two outs,
one guy on second and one out. This is not
(01:12:04):
this is not gonna get better. Diamondbacks are near. The
Diamondbacks are close to batting around.
Speaker 7 (01:12:09):
This is Emmett Shean on the mound, whose Major League
away was close to five this year.
Speaker 3 (01:12:14):
Oh hopefully he pitches better than ed Sheeran would pitch.
And they both have like kind of hair, some of
their hair. There.
Speaker 2 (01:12:22):
Coming up next from the tyrack dot Com studios, we'll
do our version of upset alert. We call it the
Atomic Dogs because George Clinton was amazing. All right, that's
what I have to say about that one dog. We'll
do that coming up next Martin and VJ. Fox Sports Radio.
Martin and VJ coming to your life from the Tirack
dot Com studios. Get us with your two cents on
Twitter where rego tweets on the show. I'm at Martin Weiss,
(01:12:45):
W E, I S S. VJ is at the Big
Vanilla Funny. Get to your tweets in just a moment.
Right now, bottom of the first inning, three to one
count for Mookie bats, Meryl Kelly has thrown three pitches
or four pitches so far?
Speaker 3 (01:12:59):
How is it a three count if he's only throwing
three pitches? That can't be right.
Speaker 2 (01:13:02):
But yeah, Gookie best foules one back, three to two count.
That will keep you a breath of that one six
nothing Dodgers in the first inning.
Speaker 3 (01:13:10):
Can we say, can we can? It a pitch clock violation?
All right? Could have been a pitch Licke violation.
Speaker 2 (01:13:15):
And you know that's an interesting subplot this year with
the baseball playoffs, they will have the pitch clock and
you'll see how that'll be in play. But VJ just
said something that I can't square at all.
Speaker 3 (01:13:26):
So now you got to say it on the radio.
If you have the number one draft pick in the
twenty twenty four draft, and you are solidified with your quarterback,
you're solidified with your quarterback, you have to consider Brock
Bowers as your number one overall pick. He is the
best tight end I've ever seen with my own eyes
(01:13:46):
in college football since I've been watching football. He's the
best college tightand I've ever seen. This kid's just different,
and in today's passing league, in today's passing world, where
he can do so many things at six five to
forty two fifty whatever, the kid weighs, but runs like
the win jump hands. He's also a good inline blocker
(01:14:07):
if you're solidified at your quarterback position. So hypothetically, I
said to Bears, I told Martin during the commercial, back said,
if the Bears somehow still end up with the first
all pick, but they feel like, you know what, Justin
Fields showed enough, he's the guy we're gonna stick with.
Justin Fields. Why the hell would you not think about
getting him a weapon like that to now offset what
(01:14:28):
you have with DJ Moore? Why wouldn't you consider getting
a generational guy and Martin's response was.
Speaker 2 (01:14:35):
If you're the GM with the number one overall pick
and you you're happy with your quarterback position, if you
don't trade that pick, you should be fired that day.
Speaker 3 (01:14:44):
As soon as the draft starts, you should be fired.
Speaker 2 (01:14:45):
You should not be allowed to make the number one
overall pick with a guy like Caleb Williams on the board.
If you hold onto that pick and you're not taking
Caleb Williams, then it's organizational my practice, it'll be the
dumbest decision since the Angels didn't trade Joe Heel tiny
and professionals, it.
Speaker 3 (01:15:00):
Will be the dumbest move you could possibly make. No,
and that's cool. Hit us up on Twitter. I just
want to hear the fans reaction to this on Twitter,
at Martin Wis's at the Big Vanilla Funny on Twitter,
and just let us know what you guys think. If
I'm crazy, I'm crazy, But I'm watching this kid over
the last two years. There's nothing you can do to him.
There's nothing you could do with him. There's nothing he
can't do. And once again, here's the preference though, people,
(01:15:22):
If you are satisfied and you are solidified, and you
are concrete with your quarterback in the twenty twenty four draft.
I'm not talking about any hypothetical other year. I'm talking
about the draft next April. You have got to consider
Rock Bowers as your number one overall pick because he's
not just a tight end. You put him in the
NFL where you can't touch guys after the two three yards, guys,
(01:15:46):
this guy's gonna run free through defenses. He's big, he's fast,
he's got great hands, runs great routes. He's young, he's
got fresh legs. You get him on a rookie deal,
he will change any offense in the NFL.
Speaker 2 (01:15:58):
Yo, he'll change it all right, because you know it's
gonna happened. That GM that takes Brock Bowers number one
overall will be fired in six or seven games, because
that is absurd that you would have Caleb Williams available
and not trade for him.
Speaker 3 (01:16:10):
But that's a quick aside. Let's get into who we
think is on upset oflerk for the atomic dogs. Let's go.
Speaker 1 (01:16:19):
They may be me, they may be ugly, but it's
time to open the cage because these dogs are gonna
keep barking if they don't get fat, and they're hungry
(01:16:41):
it's time for the Atomic Dogs.
Speaker 3 (01:16:44):
I'll go ahead and get us started here. Wake up
early for this one. Sets your alarm because it's not
happening at one o'clock Eastern time like the rest of
this football this one across the pond. Von Miller activated
off the pup.
Speaker 2 (01:16:57):
Sorry, Brandon, I don't give a damn give me the
Jacksonville Jaguars and what I actually deemed to be more
of a schedule loss for the Bills because Jack's been
over there for an entire They've been over there for
two weeks now, five and a half points. You know,
I don't even worry about it. Taking him on the
money line, Trevor Launch and them get back right.
Speaker 3 (01:17:13):
Wow, I'm surprised you took that one. Okay, all right, cool.
My first dog is gonna be a guy that I
kind of banged on a little bit. But hey, he's
proven me wrong. Man. Only quarterback in NFL history to
have as many passing yards as he have his first
four starts with zero interceptions. Second place, if you guys
want to know that one to a little information, we
are was Warren Moon. But CJ. Stroud's playing good. This
(01:17:34):
kid could be the Goods he's got receivers, Nico Collins,
another Michigan man. He's got Tank Dale. I believe the
young kids name is also too that he's throwing to
the Houston. They're doing some really good things with the Texas.
They're underdogs on the road at Atlanta. Atlanta can't move
to football. I'm trying to figure out where does spread
come from. Give me the Texas on the row. Atlanta
also to ten and two straight up their last twelve
(01:17:55):
as a favorite, but Houston is six and two against
the spread their last eight as an underdog. Give me
the Texas tomorrow to pull that one off.
Speaker 2 (01:18:03):
Louisville running into the end zone right now, taking a
six to ten, sixteen to ten lead over Notre Dame
extra point pending.
Speaker 3 (01:18:11):
My next dog.
Speaker 2 (01:18:12):
I'm gonna stick in the AFC South because I think
we're gonna agree on the next one that you throw out.
Speaker 3 (01:18:16):
So I'm gonna go one that I don't think you have.
Speaker 2 (01:18:18):
I'm going with the Indianapolis Colts Anthony Richardson. I think
both AFC rookie quarterbacks gonna win over the well this
one over the Tennessee Titans. Colts two and a half
point favorites, but Jonathan Taylor back in the fall, Anthony.
Speaker 3 (01:18:31):
Richardson runner rough for Rookie of the Year right now, Yeah,
I don't like this. We're agreeing too much. I got
that one too. I love the coach with Jonathan Taylor
coming back, and Anthony Richardson has made me a believer.
One I'm gonna go to though, is my Arizona Cardin
right there with five on that one. Yes, Arizona Cardinals
tomorrow at home nine and a half is where I
last saw it at on a plus one forty five
(01:18:51):
on the money line. Bengals, let me tell you something, guys.
The Bengals could be done. They really could be done
and have to pack in an Ax Martin last week?
Do you I our Burrow Martin said, I think it's
too late. I thought so too. They were gonna do it,
should have done it in week two or week three.
Is too late. Now give me the Cardinals at home,
and let me tell you something. Cincinnati oh four and
one against the spread the last five games. It's not
(01:19:13):
good for them against the spread. Guys. Go and give
me the Cardinals with this dog right here, five and
two against the spread their last seven I'll tell you what, bro,
Let's have a conversation about it. Because the idea that
the idea that the Cincinnati Bengals were I mean, I
thought they were gonna compete for the AFC. A lot
of people thought they compete. Of course, of course, Joe
(01:19:36):
Burrow's calf is hurt. I get it. I don't care.
This team has been bad across the board. This team
has been bad across the board. Offensive line can't block, defense,
can't stop a soul. Now, okay, and you know what
is really being exposed right now? And jamar Cha has
got tackled for the first time last week or two,
I'll text you, and that's how you know things aren't
(01:19:57):
going well. But you know what, it's this to me
feel like a coaching loss, like Zach Taylor can't cross
over and help his quarterback out. But we'll get to
that coming up. We'll look in.
Speaker 2 (01:20:09):

Speaker 3 (01:20:46):
Go ahead, VJ. Brandon Brody says at Martin Wise at
the Big Vanilla Funny, can we permanently disqualify the Dodgers
from postseason competition? And Tel Kershaw, he's washed up. Every
year expect one la choke in the playoffs. They don't
(01:21:06):
want to be chanced because every year they play light
chumps and don't want to ring ouch. Appreciate you listening
to Live Brandon Brodie, shout out to your brother God blessed.
Thanks man.
Speaker 2 (01:21:16):
Yeah No, I mean like I said, I mean Dodgers
right now with with she hand on the mound. The
rookie Steve outlined as he was came out in the
middle of the first inning because Kershaw couldn't get out.
He ended up getting out of the first innding, but
then gave up a two run bomb to Corbyn Carrol's
now I'm sorry, no a single run bomb to Corporn
Carrol seven or nothing to to count nobody out one
(01:21:38):
on in the.
Speaker 3 (01:21:38):
Top of the second. I think Dodger Stadium is packed
right now.
Speaker 2 (01:21:42):
Chavez Ravine is gonna take at least three hours to
get out of that traffic.
Speaker 3 (01:21:44):
I'm leaving early. Do you leave this rook out here
and just let him and just let him eat the
Oh god, and he just hit a pitch if he
just hit hit walker, right, do I leave him out there?
Do you just let him kind of just eat this in? Hey, buddy,
this is kind of you know, not hazing, but you know, well, no,
I think the cruciation.
Speaker 2 (01:22:01):
To the point to your point, I mean, yeah, he's
gonna be out there for a while, But at what
point do you throw in the towel?
Speaker 3 (01:22:06):
Is I think the question you're asking. No, in this game,
you're down.
Speaker 2 (01:22:10):
Seven and nothing already, you know you got to you
don't want to use up the bullpen right.
Speaker 3 (01:22:13):
You know what I'm saying, You're gonna need your bullpen,
don't use it. And they picture coaches. I'll talking to
him now. I love how they cover their mouths with
the gloves in their hands and talk so nobody can
lip read or whatever. But yeah, I think you kind
of let this kids. It's the second inning. So you
pull him now, now your two pictures. Now you're near
into your bullpen, year into your bullpen in the second inning,
I'm thinking, what four arms, five arms to get to
(01:22:35):
the ninth. It's gotta be right now. Unless you got
somebody in the bullpen that hadn't been out into a
few weeks. You want to get him some work. You
want to give him at least three or four. But
I don't wave the white flag in the second inning.
But it's just just the energy of it. Just this
doesn't look good. It doesn't feel like a comeback win.
Looks like Dodgers could be down. Oh one, don't waste
your bullpen trying to save it, is what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (01:22:57):
Yeah, I have demr J. Morrison and just the little
bit our baseball expert.
Speaker 3 (01:23:01):
Oh Area is walking. Area is joined.
Speaker 2 (01:23:04):
Us in a second smile we'll get an expert's opinion
here on this game right now, as the Dodgers man
getting a complete total asshole. Let's go ahead and update
some of the scores around the rest of the league.
Speaker 3 (01:23:17):
Noted rest of college football.
Speaker 2 (01:23:18):
Notre Dame kicked the field goal they now trail Louisville
seventeen to thirteen in the third quarter. There Michigan scored
a touchdown. JJ McCarthy ran it in thirty eight to
ten over Minnesota. And the Little Brown Jug. You know,
the Little Brown Jug is a restaurant in Michigan.
Speaker 3 (01:23:33):
Did you know that? I didn't know that. I believe
it's exactly the place where Jim Harbaugh had Hish had
the cheeseburger Harball's Cheeseburger. That's where he had the cheeseburger
in question that brought down the self imposed Michigan suspension
at the end. City of Light did not. Although you
never know. By the way, Michigan, you guys know the
story behind the Little Brown Jog Go for it, DJ.
(01:23:53):
Why don't you educate the crowd? All right? So back
in the day where every before gator Rade and you know,
and all that stuff you can bring to the game. Hey,
Gator eight. Yeah, they had to borrow Michigan. Minnesota had
to borrow a water jug from the Michigan team so
they can give their players water. They have to play
it on an unseasonably hot day. Well, they took the
water jug and they didn't return it. So they told Michigan,
(01:24:15):
if you want it, you gotta beat us and we'll
give it back to you. As the Arizona Diamondbacks knocking
another run, it looks like here go up eighth to
nothing in the top of the second inning with runners
at first and second. So Michigan ends up beating them,
they get the water jug back and then they just
kind of made it a thing right now that they
(01:24:35):
play for this jug and all these years later, I
think it's seventy eighty years at this point. Now, that's
how the little brown jug came about. There you go, Yeah,
how did the reverend rivalry come about? Was there a
standoff across the Red River? And I'm just talking something
like that back football wasn't na yeah, right exactly.
Speaker 2 (01:24:56):
As Michigan intercepts the six quarterback, that should be a
pixel bow boom.
Speaker 3 (01:25:01):
This one not in question.
Speaker 2 (01:25:03):
But again, like we've said, this has been a time
when I think the class of college football has separated itself.
You have two teams right now that have really truly
been dominant. And I mean people would have had Texas
up on that list prior to today, but they lose
to Oklahoma and Ohio State.
Speaker 3 (01:25:23):
That's really been it to me.
Speaker 2 (01:25:24):
The top three teams in football in college football have
been the most dominant between Georgia, even though they have
not looked as dominant as you expect Georgia to look.
But they're kind of in the Alabama phase of where
we're judging you by style points, not just how you win,
I mean not just how much you went by, but
how you win also matters. Michigan now starting to stretch
(01:25:45):
on Minnesota conference play. You like to see that if
you're a Michigan fan or a fan of the Big
Ten making the college football playoff right because Ohio State
suspect so far. But Georgia and Michigan both taking care
of business against two conferences.
Speaker 3 (01:26:00):
And you know what, I John in a few notes
down on the Maryland in the Ohio get the School
game too, because I peeped in on that one. So
that game, that game was close. Maryland was giving him hell.
They was giving him hell. Mellion was giving hell. But
some of the in just some of the notes I
came away from that game. Number one, they don't have
a difference making dude like they don't got a guy
(01:26:20):
or you young kids now him, which I think is stupid.
I hate saying it, But him a guy that could go.
I am him. I'm that guy. They do. But he
plays quarterback position, and you need another wing guy, you
need another perimeter guy. You guys always hear me speak
about receivers. A quarterback when he breaks the out, when
he goes the lineup, he feels much better when he
could look to the left or right and knows that
he's got a dude that he can just go to.
(01:26:43):
Damn the coverage, Damn the scheme, Damn what they're doing.
I'm throwing you the ball, run around. I'm throwing you
the ball. Make a play for us. They don't have that,
and that started to show up. But on the Ohio
State side, Ryan Days got issues too. The score looked
with it. They pulled the way late. But let me
tell you something, though, Man, this Ohio State team, their
offensive line is nowhere near what I'm used to seeing.
(01:27:05):
I'm used to seeing guys like Orlando Plays, John Hicks,
Corey Stringer, Mangal, like guys that were all Americans get
into the NFL do their thing. And it's because Railer Duting. Yeah,
there you go. There's another one. And that's because Paris Johnson.
I liked him when he was coming out. I think
because recruiting is starting to tip and people want to
bang on Harball and then for some reason, Michigan doesn't
get the credit over the last thirty six months that
(01:27:27):
they deserve. But I get it. I understand. Harball's prickly.
Harball's a little weird, a little out there, and people
shy away from that kind of stuff sometimes because we're
such a conservative. If people want to try to lie
to themselves, this stature of society that America is. No.
The guy drinks milk with a steak, I think it's disgusting,
but I get why he does it. You know what
I'm saying. He recruits a punter, sleeps in the sleeping
(01:27:48):
bag on the punter's floor to get the kicker to
come to a school. Everybody's not gonna do that, and
people are gonna frown on it. But When I look
at the recruiting though, and I look at who he's getting.
He's stealing players from Ohio State. He's running the big
ten in recruiting right now, and that's where you're starting
to see these little things start the shift. We had
a JT T a Moa sighting today. Remember how hYP
(01:28:10):
we were off of him last year, off of what
game was that he he showed up and made every
damn play. What it wasn't the Oregon gags Orgon beat him,
but there was a game we did our show and
were just like, hey, this JT to a more guy
who's been number one to prove. I was like, I
got to learn how to pronounce this last name right
now because he is making plays. I know, but remember
we were on there at the time. But when's the
last time aren't you heard of this kid? When's last
(01:28:31):
time his name's been there? Right? It's kind of like
man quiet this season? Yeah, very quiet. It was quite
most of last season. He had that one blow up
game and everybody thought, wow, But a sighting for him today,
but also too man, they had a dumb call to Maryland.
Did that actually kind of cost them the game? Seventeen
twenty seven on your own seventeen. Fourth and three and
you go for punt and play in truck. You're down ten,
(01:28:51):
You're okay, you're down ten. Don't panic they go for it.
Don't get it. Give the ball right the Ohio State
Ohio State scores goes up thirty dollars at that point.
What you don't understand is that fourth and three, if
you go for it in you get it, stop it,
stop it. Eight thirty three, eight thirty three was left
in the fourth quarter. Get this math out of my foot.
(01:29:12):
I hear you, I get it. This is what the
winning percentage is. This and then the winning percentage is at no, no,
no no. You know when the winning percentage really matters
at the end of the when it's one hundred percent
and there's zero point zero zero on the clock in
the fourth quarter, that's when the winning percentage matters. Just
ask Ohio State what their winning percentage was as Notre
Dame was driving down the field.
Speaker 2 (01:29:32):
I mean, I'm sorry, reverse and ask Ohio. Ask Ohio
State what the winning percentage was. Is they were driving
down Notre Dame and Notre Dame put ten players on
the field.
Speaker 3 (01:29:40):
You know what I'm saying several times like it's just
I can't stand it, and you know it. Oh my God,
makes me so mad.
Speaker 2 (01:29:46):
All these different NFL broadcasts that pop up midway through
the fourth quarter, winning percentage seventy five percent for the.
Speaker 3 (01:29:53):
Whoever team currently has the ball in the league. No kidding,
yeah exactly, yeah, three seconds left. You want to put
that stet out another quick today? Ryan Day and I
mentioned this that I love throwing that my coaching questions
to Steve. But Ryan Day and Dabbo Sweeney two guys
that are realizing when you don't have Trevor Deshaun CJ Fields,
(01:30:14):
slot harder, right, slot harder. These programs look completely different
now than Let's get real that the quarterback position now
is like eh and the dj ouie On gallet Lay
kid who I've banged on enough. He's up in Oregon
State looking good. They're gonna take on Cal. I think
they might have kicked off already. Are is gonna kick
off soon? They're on the road up at Cal. They
can go to five and one. You don't think they
(01:30:36):
Clemson wishes they probably still had that kid at the
quarterback position for them. But even so, you look at
Ryan Day, and you've been blessed with some quarterbacks. Homeboy,
they helped cover up a lot of mistakes. When you're
that good. And CJ's looking like the deal, He's looking
like the real deal. And people thought that Texas were
just gonna be horrible. No Will Anderson blowing stuff up,
(01:30:58):
making plays over a thousand yards, passing zero interceptions. He's
got some dogs that he gave it. Nico Collins, you
guys need to put some speck on his kid's name.
He's an NFL receiver. Nico Collins is an NFL flat out,
big body guy. Nia got a little tankdlle. You get
it to him in the slot. Let him do his thing,
make people miss. Punch one third fifth. You guys know,
(01:31:20):
I love me a nice porch. That's how they drive.
Damn second and fourth. Give me one three five, I'm out.
So I kind of think that there's two coaches, Ryan
Day and Dabbos Sweeney. It's a little different when you
don't have those cover up mistake type quarterbacks. Let's see
if you could coach these kids up now. Because the
Ohio state quarterback position is average at best, the Clemson
quarterback position right now is average at best, and you
(01:31:42):
can see it in their play.
Speaker 2 (01:31:44):
Little Colorado's quarterback position pretty damn good. But I don't
know if Dion Mayan needs to walk down to the
defensive cordator and say, hey, bro, zone it up, because
they played man the entire stretch for this Arizona State
drive in which they came down and that scored the
game tying touchdown extra point pending. They're down one right now,
(01:32:05):
fifty seconds left in the fourth quarter. Let's see if
the extra point goes in and it is good.
Speaker 3 (01:32:11):
There you go.
Speaker 2 (01:32:11):
Now it is tied twenty four a piece for Colorado.
We keep an eye on that game and the rest
of the top twenty five games. You know, Colorado no
longer in the top twenty five.
Speaker 3 (01:32:20):
It's just going to be a catastrophic loss again to
Colorado if they lose this thing to one and four
Arizona State and scatterbo and see once again Shador twenty
four to thirty eight. But why is he throwing thirty
Because they can't run the ball. Hagerson's got ten to
fifty eight. That's five yards of carry. So somebody's running
(01:32:41):
the ball at five yards of carry. Give the guy
the ball. Ten carries for fifty eight yards. That's five
yards of pop. Give him the damn football. Run the football.
Somebody can run the football. If you're getting five yards
of pop, you got to run the football.
Speaker 8 (01:32:53):
Man.
Speaker 3 (01:32:54):
I think I saw a quote that I didn't like
this this week and win it some people out of where.
Somebody's some anonymous uh and I hate anonymous. You're gonna
say say what your damn chess. We gotta get that
drop to Lorena. We'll be gonna do that for another show.
We gotta get that Kevin Hart drop. Say with your chess,
but don't anonymously that shoulder sayings is taking sacks so
it doesn't hurt as completion percentage. I don't believe anything
(01:33:15):
that these aggregator accounts say. Yeah that literal literally nothing
JRS Football, Dove Climbman, whoever it is, put your faith football,
JPA football. Like I've blocked all those accounts.
Speaker 2 (01:33:27):
I don't see it unless somebody is tended to me
in the group chat, and I recommend you do the same.
Speaker 3 (01:33:32):
Okay, you know what, I didn't think about that. I
don't have a problem with I don't follow any of them,
but people retweet. I think people follow retweet it, and
so it ends up on my time.
Speaker 2 (01:33:40):
I don't have a problem with actual reporters using sources,
but we can't be anonymous across the board. This anonymous account,
but there's an other anonymous account at.
Speaker 3 (01:33:51):
Least like for example.
Speaker 2 (01:33:53):
It's very hotly contested over the over the timeline the
last few days. But Bernie Fratto said that urban Meyer
interviewed from Michigan State. He's he claimed a source said it,
but Bernie put his name.
Speaker 3 (01:34:06):
On the report. He Georg did, Okay, sure did so.
It's been refuted. It's been are you, he's been are you?
But Bernie put his name on it. It wasn't freaking
anonymous CFB rumors saying it and then to other people
refuting it. No, no, no, put your name on it, Dove Climbing.
I'm looking at you. You don't even exist in real life.
(01:34:27):
And I believe Bernie. I believe Bernie because he's solid,
He's a solid source guy. And I love that Bertie Bertie.
I told him this too privately. I love when Bertie
says I have a mole. It sounds so much better
than my sources tell me or what I'm hearing or
what I've been. He's like, listen, I got a mole
that's told me that they're they're They're called them. They're
interested in them. They're interested in hiring Urban Mayer. You
(01:34:49):
guys cannot like it if you want, I'm just telling
you that they're interested. I didn't say they're going to
hire him, but they're interested in them.
Speaker 2 (01:34:55):
Well, I got a mole that tells me the mar

presented by bet MGM. Right here on Fox Sports Radio
and the iHeartRadio app VJ. Right now, the Louisville Cardinals
have a eleven point lead on the Notre Dame Fighting Iris.
Can we see, come on, Dame.
Speaker 3 (01:35:59):
Pull another rabbit out of its proverbial hat? No, right now?
Third and eleven?
Speaker 2 (01:36:04):
Is Sam Hartman throw it away on a second eleven
before he took another before he got sacked. Marcus Freeman
looks on, Yes, he's counted. They got eleven players on
the field right now. If third and eleven before they
get this next first down, Louisville with an eleven point
lead ten minutes eleven.
Speaker 3 (01:36:19):
The game rapped. I'm saying it at nine to fifty
five in the fourth quarter. Rapped, y'all. I ain't been
able to move the ball. Why do I think you're
gonna score, well, you're gonna need your two scores down,
so you need two touchdowns even a touchdown the field go,
don't do it. You need two touchdowns. You're not scoring
two touchdowns. You got thirteen damn points in the fourth quarter,
don fifty five mark on the road. This has been
their offense all year long, and I'm just so happy
(01:36:40):
that it's coming to fruition. And then they're shutting the
air down VJ one for four on third down in
the second half so far. Yeah, great offense. There you go.
That's awesome offense. Hartman Heisman front winner at my man
at y'all know at Air Torrez our buddy here, but
him and I we bumped as on the Heisman talking
the beginning of season. I said, holler at me in
about four or five weeks with this Hartman Heisman talk.
(01:37:02):
Who's the front runner right now? Or was supposed to
be the front runner back then too? And Martin's always
so brought out Shadeer Sanders and Travis underd Hey, we
all missed on a bunch of guys, but this is
the guy who's not looking the part. Shuder still pull
playing well and putting up points. He's still scoring. This
guy's got thirteen points on the board, had seven in
the first half. Miss me with that man no to day.
(01:37:24):
He choosing to go forward here on fourth and eleven.
We'll see what happens as a result of this play.
This is the closest game we got going on right now.
Everything else in the top twenty five is a blowout.
Speaker 2 (01:37:33):
But Louisville takes your time out before that fourth down play,
and I'll take right now to introduce our nvidio guests.
Right now you got the walk up music. He's sitting
down though he's not walking up. That's right, Damarja bro
Themarj Morris rather MLB bro content reporter and Demarja. Bad
start for Clayton Kershaw, his shortest start of his post.
(01:37:56):
He's a career, goes one third of it end and
gives up six earned runs, though Steve de Seger, like
you said a minute ago, probably some of those could
have been charged to the sun and fielder as an error.
But right now, Dodgers in the top of the third
ending trailing nine to nothing with one on and two out.
Speaker 4 (01:38:11):
So what you known for a great regular season? Pitchers
known for struggling in the postseason.
Speaker 3 (01:38:16):
I mean, but this is something. I mean, at this point,
you gotta wonder, DeMar j is this one where you
just went, at what point do you throw in the towel?
Youg and I were talking about this earlier. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:38:26):
Now, now, okay, top of the third, down nine zero
come on, no runs that loaded offense, No runs come
on now.
Speaker 3 (01:38:34):
So you're throwing it so right now? I mean you
going position players to.
Speaker 4 (01:38:38):
Pitch for the rest of this might as well save
your pitchers, save the arms, and see that's the next game.
Speaker 3 (01:38:42):
And see that's what I was telling Martin last seconment
before you walked in. I let this They got a
rookie on the bump tonight. I let this kid she
she had you let him get beat up. He's the
fifty four pitches right now. He's got to eat this
right now because in the third inning you cannot start
to bring your bullpen in. This is the playoff series
and you're gonna be down one after tonight. This kid's
got at least pitch in the fifth or six. You
(01:39:03):
just gotta let you This game's over. The Dodgers are not.
You can just feel the energy. They're not coming back.
From nine to nothing and winning this baseball game. You
cannot waste your bullpen now with a hot diamondback team
as well as they played in the wild Card and
now that they're playing to night Tomarsh, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:39:17):
This is gonna be great experience for him.
Speaker 3 (01:39:19):
I like, she h.
Speaker 4 (01:39:19):
I think he's gonna be a stud in the future.
But yeah, there's gonna be good experience for him.
Speaker 3 (01:39:24):
I mean, right now, fifty seven pitches is a fifty
seventh pitch coming up.
Speaker 2 (01:39:28):
If it's a strike, it'll be the last pitch of
this inning. So I'm kind of actually, this is one
of those like I kind of feel like I'm looking
at Zach Wilson playing well or Justin Field's playing well.
Speaker 3 (01:39:37):
Like I'm rooting for your kid, get out of this inning. Yeah, well,
I mean I'm rooting for you because you're not No. One.
Speaker 2 (01:39:44):
You did not expect to be in this position. And
uh d Walt Chavez Ravine still pretty crowded.
Speaker 3 (01:39:49):
Uh it's uh out of left. You can find playoff
tickets in the bleachers for sixty bucks. I've done it, man,
I'm out. I'm not sitting in this I'm out. It's Saturday.
Let's go to downtown and have a drink. Sixty dollars
way home, right, I mean on the way home. Let's
stop it going have a drink. But I'm not staying here.
Y'all coming all right? Mar are you getting a uber?
Speaker 8 (01:40:09):
All right?
Speaker 3 (01:40:09):
I'm out all a y'all, I's ee the studio, So demarja.
Right now we're seeing the Dodgers. I said earlier, there's
nine runs down in the top of the third inning.
Speaker 2 (01:40:18):
You say, already call the day. In terms of what's
going on in this game, how does this bode for
the Los Angeles Dollars Dodgers as they go through this NLDS.
You know, the Diamondbacks were one of the hottest teams
in the league to start the year, kind of cooled
off a little bit in the middle of the dog
days of the summer, but obviously now qualified for the
postseason and have a nine to nothing lead.
Speaker 4 (01:40:41):
You see it a lot. They got nine runs. Normally,
when the team puts up a lot of runs, the
next game, bats are quite. If the team doesn't put
up any runs at the bats are quite next game,
they usually heat up. So I expect the Dodgers to
bounce back, for sure and get the dubb in game two.
Speaker 3 (01:40:53):
That's what I was telling VJ earlier.
Speaker 2 (01:40:54):
He was complaining that Marcus Simions struck out in the
bottom of the fourth inning with the bases loaded against the.
Speaker 3 (01:41:01):
It's the fourth in because they they could have so
they could have opened that game and put that game away.
Or he knocks in two of those game over. Yeah,
but yeah, you want to save something for tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (01:41:10):
I don't hate the attitude as Sam Hartman throws what
should have been an interception that nine, nine.
Speaker 3 (01:41:15):
Forty two in the fourth quarter.
Speaker 2 (01:41:16):
There Louisville with a eleven point lead, and Steve de
Sager will have the scores everywhere else around college football.
Not too many close games right now, Steve, baseball, college football,
whatever you like, Go ahead, man, what you got.
Speaker 7 (01:41:30):
I thought the Georgia game would be closer. That's a
final of fifty one to thirteen for number one Georgia
at home against twentieth ranked Kentucky. Four touchdown passes and
an interception for Carson Beck. He threw for three hundred
and eighty nine yards about nine minute maybe seven minutes
to go.
Speaker 3 (01:41:45):
Now.
Speaker 7 (01:41:45):
Number two Michigan up fifty two to ten at Minnesota,
about five minutes left at sixteenth ranked Old Miss home
team holding on twenty four to twenty over Arkansas Louisville
with the lead against Notre Dame with under ten minutes
left twenty fourth thirteen starting the fourth quarter. Georgia Tech
is leading at seventeenth rank Miami fourteen to ten Georgia
(01:42:07):
Tech early second half. It had only five first downs
in the game, but they were only down three nothing
early second half. It's now fourteen to ten for the
visitors against the Hurricanes on Fox TV.
Speaker 3 (01:42:18):
Remember Wyoming did have a.
Speaker 7 (01:42:20):
Double overtime victory against Texas Tech at home early season.
Speaker 3 (01:42:24):
At home.
Speaker 7 (01:42:24):
They're leading number twenty four Fresno State right now twenty
four to ten starting the fourth quarter. Fifteenth rank to
Oregon State out to a seven to nothing lead at
Cal in the first and in a few minutes the
late game. Number nine USC kicks off at home against Arizona.
We mentioned the Colorado late field goal. There are other
games going on, not just those among the ranked teams.
(01:42:46):
Texas Tech leading at Baylor twenty four to three late
in the third quarter. In Iowa State on FS one
is ahead of TCU twenty four to seven early in
the fourth a TCU loss will put them at three
and three. Diamondbacks Lee nine to nothing in the top
of the third inning at Dodger Stadium. This is the
opener of the best of five division series. Already, the Braves,
(01:43:07):
the dominant team of the regular season, got shut out
at home in Game one Phillies three nothing. There American
League wins for Texas and for Houston. The Texas win
was three to nothing at top seed Baltimore. Then Houston
won six ' four over the Twins, the win to
Justin Verlander, who had six scoreless innings today. As for
the NFL news, the Colts gave running back Jonathan Taylor
(01:43:30):
a three year extension worth over twenty six million dollars
guaranteed he'll make his season debut tomorrow. He is active officially.
Taylor's in the last year of his rookie contract. Indy
will host Tennessee on Sunday. Las Vegas wide receiver DeVante
Adams is questionable for Monday night against the Packers. He
returned to limited practice though today. After last weekend shoulder injury.
(01:43:51):
Green Bay running back Aaron Jones with the bad hamstring
listed as questionable. Lions running back Jamiir Gibbs was downgraded
to doubtful hamstring injury, and Detroit wide receiver i'm Nross
Saint Brown is also doubtful with an abdominal injury. Wide
receiver Jamison Williams is active now. Sunday it's the three
and one Lions hosting Carolina, which is oh and four
(01:44:12):
and Simone Biles won silver in the vault at the
World Championships. After taking the all around title yesterday. She
qualified for all four event finals this weekend in Belgium.
She finished fifth in the uneven bars. Simone Biles is
the most decorated gymnast in history. Officially, it's up to
thirty five total medals now between the Olympics and Worlds.
That includes twenty one gold.
Speaker 3 (01:44:33):
Back to you, Steve, let me ask you this real
quick while we got you here. Uh this, Simone Biles.
Speaker 2 (01:44:38):
The best Olympian out from the United States is that
Michael Phelps?
Speaker 3 (01:44:42):
Where does that? Where would you have a down.
Speaker 7 (01:44:44):
Ranking between those two, isn't it?
Speaker 3 (01:44:46):
Yeah? I mean you'd think so.
Speaker 7 (01:44:48):
The longevity, it's not just the greatness, yeah, exactly. I
mean this has been a decade. Simone Biles has been
doing this that's ludicrous.
Speaker 3 (01:44:54):
And I'll pull for her so hard. I don't know
if you remember, she was one of my vanillasis of
the week because of a old mental thing that happened
and the way she had to really she took time
away and when you do that normally for the because
of every four years, you lose it. So here the
all arounds hardl yesterday, Silver and the Vault and I
just jokeing around, was like, hey, girl, you're going to Paris.
Tell me you're going to Paris next year, baby.
Speaker 7 (01:45:14):
And helped the US win another team title. It's just
ridiculous how great the US has become in gymnastics, women's gymnasts.
Speaker 3 (01:45:22):
Man, yeah, that's great to hear. Man some on that's
my boot right there. Wow.
Speaker 2 (01:45:27):
You know, let's get into some of this baseball talk
right now. Brandon just sent me something that is concerning
our producer, Brandon true For who is a I mean
card carrying Dodgers hater as a I mean you should
be when when Clayton Kershaw was giving up bombs, he
was running around the studio, uh, swinging, swinging his shirt
(01:45:47):
around his head, the top of head.
Speaker 3 (01:45:48):
Like his helicopter. Tommy fam right, Tommy fam was bounced
around the National League. A few teams played for the Padres.
In fact, fact, that stat that's out of a strip
club in Santiego. That's my big Every Powdery fans can't
stand him. He's got three hits tonight. Miguel Rojas, who's
the Dodgers nine hitter, has yet to get to the plate. Wow,
(01:46:11):
he hasn't even walked up the We've played Demarja Morris's
walk up music before.
Speaker 2 (01:46:18):
Miguel Rojas. He's at bat right now, Damn with an
one count. This is ugly in the bottom of the
third ning Merrill Kelly, you know, and he might get
his first win against the Dodgers tonight.
Speaker 3 (01:46:31):
Who knows? Just fight go ahead? VJ. Yeah, no, no,
we got DeMar J Morris live and studio for the
very first time. Mlbbro dot Com content reported Demarjay just
off the top of your head, I watched every pitch.
We were texting, and you know me, I'm on social
media always talking about the games that I'm watching them.
I love the wildcar route.
Speaker 8 (01:46:49):
Man.
Speaker 3 (01:46:49):
Everybody swept, but we saw some damn good baseball. Just
what stood out to you and do and what what
team you think that the wildcard is gonna really carry
over to the to the to the divisional round games
at the l d s and the l the nds
that we're seeing right now to be real.
Speaker 4 (01:47:06):
And I'm not just saying this because I'm sitting here
with you.
Speaker 3 (01:47:08):
There you are.
Speaker 4 (01:47:09):
I gotta go with the Rangers, man, I gotta go
with the Valdi's back shirts are supposed to be coming back.
Hasn't even got going yet. Yeah, wait till he gets going.
Seeker's been doing his thing so and then the Boopen
they showed up big today, came through. So I'm liking
the Rangers.
Speaker 3 (01:47:24):
Man, even though I told Martin when Chapman comes into
the game, I don't trust him. He's too wild, man.
He really when he's on hundred and one, hundred and two,
but he walked the first two. The pitches a while,
he bounces one like two feet in front of the play,
and the commentator goes, it's not that you can't block that,
but if you're gonna bounce it in front of the play,
Ham gets his chest over it. But dude, come on.
(01:47:46):
But then he zoned in and now and he's pinpointing
those pitches gets the doubles back to the back strikeouts,
gets out of that gym. But I thought, right then
and there, okay, well well we fall hard. Here goes
game one, and I was gonna go. I already had
my rent ready up, guys left on bass, send me
in with the with the bases loaded, and then I
forget who it was, had two guys on second and third.
We didn't get that. I was like, oh God, here
(01:48:06):
we go with the bullpen, because you and I have
been banging on the bullpen for about what two months now,
We've been talking about the bullpen, so may I'm with
you on that one too, man. I think the Rangers,
and it's just interesting where wild Car up nine to nothing,
Rangers up one to oh, Philly goes on the road,
wildcard team up wins three nothing. These wildcard teams, they've
been playing Phillies.
Speaker 4 (01:48:26):
I'm not surprised though. Like I said last week, they
made it to the World Series last year, so I'm
not surprised at what they're doing. Yeah, people expected them
to have a better regular season than they did, but yeah,
I'm not surprised that they got it going right now.
Speaker 3 (01:48:36):
The mar J Morris MLB bro Content Report are joining
us for the rest of this segment and in studio
get to see them. A good looking fellas have a
face kicking in three weeks ago with the party Eater
of the Mind. Nobody knows that now I'm trying to
tell the story. But the Twins, all right, their postseason
win drought had illegal drinking age twenty one years. They
(01:48:59):
lose today to Justin Verlander and with you know, one
of the biggest discrepancies and pitching experience between Justin Verlander
and Bailey Over who started for the Twins. Should Twins fans.
Speaker 2 (01:49:11):
Just be happy that they got kind of quote unquote
off the snide or are you thinking that this team
could compete with the Astros in this in this in
this series?
Speaker 4 (01:49:19):
They should absolutely be happy. I mean, they're they're having
success in the postseason without you know, arguably their best player,
Barban Buckston. They're doing it with the struggling Carlos Korea,
so they should absolutely be healthy. They got a nice
pitching rotation. As far as continue with the Astros, I
would say no, but hey, who's who's to say they can? Man,
it's the playoffs. Anything can happen now to.
Speaker 3 (01:49:36):
Marjay talk to me about some the seasons over so
talk to me about some of your awards. Who's winning
al n L m VP, who's your side young guys talks.
I'm not gonna ask you about Silver Sluggers and gold
gluck and I'll be honest with you, I don't even
know how to hell they can come up with all
that stuff anyway, I just see it next day they
name when they win it. But who you think is
winning MVP each league? Saw young talk to us about
what you think the awards are gonna how the awards
(01:49:58):
are gonna shake out this postseason.
Speaker 4 (01:50:00):
I think it's pretty much set in stone with the leaders.
The only difference I have is Corey Seager has American
League MVP. I would say all tany but the fact
that he missed those games towards the end of the stretch.
And I gotta put Corey Seeger in there, man, because
he's been balling. He hasn't missed games like go Tony has.
So I got him for American League MVP. As far
as American League so young, I know their team didn't
have any success or they struggled. Y're not in the postseason,
but I gotta go Garrett cole Man. I would love
(01:50:21):
to see him get his first one two point sixty
three two hundred and twenty two strikeouts. He did his
thing all year. American League Rookie of the Year. Gotta
go with Gunner Henderson. I know he's in the lead,
huge reason for the success in Baltimore right now. Twenty
eight home runs, eighty two RBI, like dudes balling, his
future super bright and you're gonna love this. American League
Manager of the Year. Bruce bouchie Baby, Bruce berchie Baby.
(01:50:45):
I would say Brandon High. But the Orioles had a
good season last year, so they were able to carry
that into this year and exceed expectations again. But considering
you guys were sixty eight and I forgot exactly what
your record was last year, clos one Hunter last year
we lost, yes, ninety four something like that. So for
him to be able to turn that around in his
first season as manager, I got to give it up
to Bruce bolchie Man for sure. And then jumping over
to National League, Cy Young another team that was disappointing
(01:51:08):
all season, didn't have the success we thought they would have.
I gotta go Blake Snell, great era great strikeouts two
into the thirty four strikeouts two point two point twenty
five era, National League MVP Easy Ronald Dacuna forty seventy
club enough said, and National League Rookie of the Year.
He's balling right now, he's playing right now, Corbyn Carroll,
how can he not be? And they're having huge success
(01:51:29):
and he's a big part of that. So I've definitely
got Corbyn, Carroll and National League Manager of the Year.
I gotta say Skip Shoemaker man, just the Maryland's exceeded expectations.
Nobody thought they'd have the season they had. They made
it to the wild card. I know they didn't advance
like they wanted to, But to have a young ball
club like that, a young pitching rotation, I got to
give it up to Skip Shoemaker. I think their features right.
They're turning it around in Miami for sure. Corbor and Carroll.
Speaker 3 (01:51:51):
Looks like the host at Chili's.
Speaker 1 (01:51:55):
He does it.
Speaker 3 (01:51:56):
Why when you look at you to look, it doesn't
strike you as a you know, as a ball player.
It looks like the guy, Hi, how you guys doing
walking to chiliast? How many pieces of flair does he
have on you seen that movie? What movie is that?
Off Space also place. Yeah, it's been a while since
I've seen All Player. Yes, yeah, I mean all right,
the Mars we got wrapping up here shortly. Who do
you have winning the World Series?
Speaker 4 (01:52:18):
I gotta go with the Atlanta Braves, even.
Speaker 3 (01:52:20):
Though they're down one a nothing right now to the Phillies. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:52:23):
I think they're gonna get their get back from from
losing to the Phillies last year. And uh, I just
love they're lining man the lone up side. They got
like three guys who could be in the MVP. Well,
we know Coon is there, but they got Olsen and Azuna.
A Zuna could have been in the MVP conversation if
Akuna and Olsen weren't doing what they do they were doing.
I know Olson wasn't any but that lineup is just stacked. Bro,
It's just loaded for them to get shut out. You
know that's not gonna happen again. They're definitely gonna put
(01:52:44):
up some runs the rest of the way. And I
think the pitching had come through. I know Strider, you know,
didn't get it today, but they still got some solid,
some solid arms in that rotation. I think the Atlanta
Brais would all right, who.
Speaker 3 (01:52:53):
Are they playing? Real quick? Who are they playing? The
Braids are playing when the world sirs, I'll go to Rangers.
All right, I'll go to Rangers. Right. We're nice, saw Max.
Sure's if you got a simulated game earlier today. So
there you got that. Wow, goodness gracious. Louisville attempting a
field goal right now. In the meanwhile, since we've been
talking to jamars Day, Louisville has checked the field goal
(01:53:13):
to go up to twenty seven to thirteen. They're now
attempting a field goal to go up from that after
Sam Hartman through an interception to give Louisville the ball
back in their own territory. Don't look now, but the
Dodgers have two to one and two out with Mac
Munsey with two balls and two balls, one strike on
the count right now, See if maybe the Dodgers can
come back and make us win a game and benefit
(01:53:34):
everybody who's still there.
Speaker 2 (01:53:36):
USC just kicked off, got college football all over the place,
baseball over the place. Thank you very much to jamars
A Morris for joining us in studio. Coming up next, well,
the progressive play of the day in our NFL picks
Martin and VJ Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 9 (01:53:50):
Nick Anderson now comes far right in the trip set
twenty seven seconds, Anderson in motion twenty three seconds. Gabriel
has the football, looks to throw, He's under pressureing lobs.
Speaker 3 (01:54:01):
In so touchdown, Delson, touchtop Dylan Gabriel and legacy baking drive.
Speaker 2 (01:54:17):
And that's exactly what it was, a legacy making drive
for Dylan Gabriel. Brett Venables in the Oklahoma Sooners. That's
the Progressive player of the day, brought to you by
Progressive Reserves. Progressive makes bundle easy and affordable at the

(01:54:38):
Rowland from lear Field for that call. As number twelve
Oklahoma upset number three Texas earlier today thirty four to
thirty inn a back and forth game.
Speaker 3 (01:54:46):
Bj Ill called this one an instant classic. Oh no,
which one was the instant classic? The Oklahoma game?
Speaker 8 (01:54:52):
Right?
Speaker 3 (01:54:52):
That's what? Oh? Yeah, y okay, yeah, that was an
instant class today a great football game. I love where
both these programs are. I think they're going to be
finding the SEC next year. Excited to see that. But hey, Oklahoma,
here they are guys sitting at six and oh you
can imagine you think they're gonna jump up. And with
Nordre Dame now going down thirty to thirteen, this one
is a rat with three twenty eight left on the clock.
Second down, you see some of the fans having fun
(01:55:14):
and smiling, some of the dejection on the face of
the Golden Domers and touchdown Jesus. But they're gonna fall
out of top ten. So you would think, Oklahoma, what's
seven or six when we kind of see the polls tomorrow,
So Oklahoma's up there. Texas w at number three. I
don't think they fall that far out. They're not gonna
fall out of the top ten because you lost to
another top ten caliber team, so they'll kind of still
(01:55:34):
be right there. And I said during break two, just
to give you props, some live on air, another team
separating themselves, whooping ass, kind of beating who's supposed to
be a supposed to beat them. Florida State today another
forty burger on the board. Offense looks legit. I don't
like the seventeen I get it, but I like to
see that one to be like, you know, forty to six,
forty to ten, something like that, really separate yourself. So
that's another team, man, that is all separate itself. But
(01:55:55):
you're right, instant Cly, I don't know about instinct close.
It was a good game, all right.
Speaker 2 (01:55:58):
Anyway, Martin if yeah, coming to your life from the
Tireck dot Com studio.
Speaker 3 (01:56:02):
Speaking of separation, it's time for our picks, all right, guys.
Speaker 8 (01:56:07):
Last week we had Martin going two and three VJ.
You went three and two, so you got to win
last week. That brings her season totals up to twelve
and eight for Martin at nine and eleven for Vej.
What a tragedy. Let's move on to you guys. Are
some haters?
Speaker 3 (01:56:24):
Man, Well, you know it wouldn't be this way if
you hadn't a set.
Speaker 2 (01:56:27):
And after the first time out the week one, you said,
that's the first time I've lost anyway.
Speaker 8 (01:56:33):
All right, moving on, Titan's at the Colts. Colts favored
by two and a half in this one.
Speaker 3 (01:56:38):
Hey, Jonathan Taylor's back. The vibes are good at Indianapolis.
Speaker 2 (01:56:42):
I'm gonna take the Colts to cover this two and
a half right here because Ryan Tannehill streaks.
Speaker 3 (01:56:47):
I would love to try to make up some room
right now, but I still got another week to do that.
I'm with Martin on this one. I think the Colts
just getting Jonathan Taylor back. I like Anthony Richards and
he's playing well. They have a great defense there at home.
The Titans can't do anything but give the ball to
Derek henryet. I think they can do that Somemrod enough
to win the game.
Speaker 8 (01:57:01):
Give me the Colts Eagles on the road against the
Rams this week, but they are four point favorites.
Speaker 3 (01:57:06):
Who you guys got at this showdown at so far?
Speaker 2 (01:57:08):
Look, I love this when it was like Rams at six.
I'm still taking into Rams at four.
Speaker 3 (01:57:13):
Cooper cut back in here, Pooka Nakula too too.
Speaker 2 (01:57:16):
At well, they have the strangest treo wide receiver names
you'll find in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (01:57:21):
Matthew Stafford has been balling.
Speaker 2 (01:57:23):
I hope that hip is all right that he took
an injury against the Colts last week.
Speaker 3 (01:57:26):
Give me the give me the Rams to cover. Have
you guys been watching how DeAndre Swift has been running
for the Philadelphia Eagles have that running and how that
d line has been playing. Carter is two grown men
and a grown man. He's too grown man, Philly, come
out here in sunny hotly, kickoff to the mar That
tiper is gonna be about eighty eight degrease is going
(01:57:47):
to be hot out here out on that field. Run
the football down their throat to PRIs Jalen Hurts. Give
me the Eagles to take this one them off. They
beat the Rams, all right, Eagle.
Speaker 8 (01:57:55):
I'm sorry the Bengals on the road against the Cardinals.
But the Bengals are three and a half point favorites.
Can they get back on track?
Speaker 3 (01:58:01):
Nope, no, nope, no, no, no no. This season ended
right there.
Speaker 2 (01:58:08):
First practice of training to care for Joe Ball rolled
out and fell down holding his caf This thing was
over with. Look, I love Joe Borrower and anybody. I
made so much money betting on Joe Burrow It's insane.
I'm betting against form this week, though. Give me Josh
Dobbs no eyebrows, but he gets to win.
Speaker 3 (01:58:23):
How about hah, that's some messed up walking around looking
like Charlie Villa witha but but yeah, I'm with you, man,
give me the Cardinals on this love their defense. They
got a lot of scrappy guys. They don't have talent
as far as you look at names on paper, But
names on paper don't win football games. Heart, hustle, bluff,
sweat and tears and execution does. They've been in every game.
They were even last week's game against San Francisco, even
though they ended up losing by a big margin, they
(01:58:44):
were in that game and playing tough. They're gonna win
this game tomorrow third quar for sure, exactly. And they're
gonna win tomorrow. And they're gonna end Cincinnati season tomorrow
since that season's over this time tomorrow. Huge Sunday night matchup.
Speaker 8 (01:58:56):
We have the Cowboys at the forty nine ers forty
nine ers favorite in this one by three and a half.
In this classic.
Speaker 2 (01:59:02):
Matchup, Brandon, every time I get upset at work, I
turned to my girlfriend and say, you know what, I
should have been a cowboy. That's what I should have been.
I should have been on the ranch. You know what
I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (01:59:12):
Last on with cattle, Cowboys win, go ahead, Brock Party
turns back into a pumpkin Sunday Night. I hate that
we're agreeing so much. We did this on a toom
Mic DAWs cause I'm with him on this. I'm not
gonna make up any room this week and our bet
we got going with the records. Give me Dallas. This
defense I've been telling you guys is monstrous. I think
it's all time decades style type great, probably one of
(01:59:32):
the better defense we've seen over the last ten years.
There's a guy named Rock Perty played quarterback for San Francisco.
He's gonna meet a gentleman that wears number eleven tomorrow
a few times for Dallas. Nobody can block him. He'll
beat up on Trent Williams on the outside too. Give
me Dallas to upset San Francisco tomorrow night in National TV,
and take this dumb quickly.
Speaker 8 (01:59:48):
Monday night, we have the Packers at the Raiders. Raiders
favored in this one by two.
Speaker 3 (01:59:52):
And a half.
Speaker 2 (01:59:52):
Listen, the Packers' injury report is ugly, but you know what,
the Raiders whole team is ugly. I don't care Jimmy
Garoppolo's back, Khalil Macka. It's six sacks, It's not twenty
twelve anymore.
Speaker 3 (02:00:02):
Who you got VJ real quick yeah, I make some
right here, give me the Raders tomorrow, all right, Packers here,
I got the Packers. He's got the Raiders.
Speaker 2 (02:00:09):
You got Aaron mar Aaron Torres coming up next to
Jason Martin, Fox Sports Radio,
