Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
I tell you what high level drama in the sec
he just means more. Sometimes I tell you that was
a excellent football game that just ended. I mean, this
is the type of thing VJ. I'm not joking. I'm
not being facetious. I'm not being I'm not exaggerating telling
the hair on my arms is standing up of this,

(00:27):
not because it's fifty degrees in the studio. I'll tell
you this is the type of thing when I was
a kid that made me think athletes were superheroes. As
we sit here, one quarterback Carson Beck knocked out at
the end of the first half on a crazy play,
his arm dangling from its sock, and his mom and
this stands holding her face. She can't even be seen

(00:48):
by the TV cameras. All right, you know what happens
that Texas comes out by that point, Texas has the league.
All right, Texas comes out to me. Georgia backup comes out, Boom,
marches down the field, ties the game. Texas comes out again,
quinn ewers. They end up going into overturn. Back up
quarterback for Georgia Gunner Stockton gets annihilated, blown up I'm

(01:11):
talking about we're looking at him right now, and here,
right now, there are sorry and tweety birds and all
of that flying over his head. Carson Beck comes back
in arm dangling from its side lifted. The entire defense
knows there's no way this guy can throw this ball,
and in a moment that we'll live in Georgia football history,
Carson Beck turns around, hands the ball off with the

(01:33):
wrong hand of Trevor Etn to go ahead an icy
SEC championship game to ice a birth into the college
football playoff after a season with two losses. This was
truly win or go home, and Georgia won the game
in a moment that, seriously, I'm not joking, I'm not
being exaggerate. This is a moment that we'll go down
to Georgia football history.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Absolutely and as always, Man welcome all the faithful listeners
out there.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Fox Sports Radio, LAMB, Fox Sports Football, SAT.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Today, VJ, MA, VJs, getting Big Manillo, Funny and my partner. Look,
you didn't leave me no meat on the bone. You
left me nothing there. You left me nothing there. Because
we're watching this game, I'm like, I'm geeking Mark. I
walked in goofy today, I'm clowning today, I'm yellowires marrit,
I'm I'm playing around. We walk in the studio, were
setting up, were watching this game. I'm like, dude, this
game is insane. This game is really this game is bonkers, Like,

(02:22):
this is crazy what we're seeing. And then Stoctor and
Gunner Stockton he gets as annihilated dog. He's out on
his feet in the NFL the sideline, they would have
pulled him out. There's no way he would have stayed
on the field. Okay, there's no way, the trauma, the
absolutely there's no way he would have stayed on the

(02:44):
field during the time out and got a chance to
talk to his coach in the middle of field. But
to that point, just that little I want to focus
on that little part right there, Martin. This is what
this is what I love about football. This is why
I go stupid for. This is why I go geeky
for it. This is why I go crazy for. This
is why I go insane for because, as I just said,
he probably has got no chance, no business being in

(03:05):
the game.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
But hey, this is the SEC Championship, okay, And regardless
of what people want to say, if you act like
you care about athletes, and we're supposed to care about athletes.
You care about this, care about that.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
I always say, if they want to play and they
can play, you have to let them play, period. That's
just what they are. You have to drag these kids,
these are kids. Have to drag these kids off the field.
They're not gonna walk off on their own. And it's
because you want to be called the twenty twenty four
SEC champions.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
It means that much.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
The first time in what the thirty three year history
of this game that goes into overtime. So now when
you talk about Mark talking about this will be in
law for Georgia history. This is in law for SEC
Championship game history because when you always refer to that
very first one that went overtime is oh, yeah, that's
the game that got knocked out of it, and that's
the game the gunner came in and then he got annihilated.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
You're right.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
They turn and he hands the ball with the raw
hand because it's a run right. He's supposed to run left.
Hes supposed to use his right hand, but he can't
lift it. He pretty much turns and hands it to
him underhand to the wrong side. But etn who are
just criticized just to play before for not lowering his
shoulder instead of trying to juke outside and out run

(04:18):
the guy and get more yards. Young running backs out there,
listen to me. When you see the players over defites there,
lower your pads, That's why they give them to you.
Lower your shoulders. He lowered his shoulders into the end zone.
You should see the reaction on field right now. Wish
I can hear this. I'm gonna watch it again. You
know a dvrve Damn. Thank sure you coulda watched this again.
But man, what a way to start, you know. Talking

(04:39):
now now we can talk about who's the twelve, Martin,
and not only who's the twelve, where.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
They position, and we'll have all types of conversations about
that going forward. Of course, the SEC Championship game just
wrapped up. We know who won the Big twelve earlier
today is Kenny Dillingham and the Arizona State Sun Devils
have been sending a messes. I do want to spend
one more moment here in the SEC Championship game, which
is obstensibly a home game for Georgia being played in

(05:08):
Atlanta and it always has been, so that's nothing to do.
But this Texas team came in one conference loss, one
loss in general walking into the SEC championship game in
year one in the conference. Tip your cap to Steve
Sarkisian because I tell you, I mean, I told you
right here two years ago I did to get a
shot to get it done exactly okay, and he has
shown now in a sport that has a major power

(05:31):
vacuum at the top. Right, this is very Games of
Thronesy Vjayn. I know you didn't watch the show, but
the whole premise is they're arguing over I'm gonna say,
who's that they're arguing over. There's a big fight over
who's going to be the leader of the Iron Throne,
the king of the Iron Throne. And now they used
to be Nick Saban was the top it and then

(05:51):
you had Jim Harbaugh for a slight moment, now I
mean Kirby Smart right there is shitting back like, wait
a minute, you guys are talking about the Dan Lannings
of the world. I still am here, I still do this.
All I did was lose one game in the last
five hundred days, and they decided to take me from
the number one team in the nation all the way
to the fifth team of the nation, despite the fact

(06:12):
that Florida State and so on and so forth and
all of that. Right, as we said, here see the
moms who both of the quarterback moms were sitting next
week the other both of them were like, I don't
want to see this.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
Yeah you Gunner's mom turned around. Another woman was actually
consoling and hugging her. But Ian, I lost a bet
to you, the two leader bet last year over this
what he just said about Georgia. Remember being knocked at
away down one to five because I told you and
crandall said, due, DearS, you can't do that. It would
be their only loss and like their last twenty three

(06:42):
games you're talking about last last year. Remember we're only
four teams making exactly. But to Martin's point, Hey, Kirby
Smart said, hey, hello, we're still over here, Like we're
still here two weeks ago when I was on with
Ernie with Arnie Spaniard, I told him the three top
teams I caught in the nation were Texas, Georgia, and Oregon.
I think those are still the three top teams. Regarding

(07:04):
to what happens to night. I think Oregon's the best
team in the nation, but Texas is right there. You're
right about start, excuse me. And I remember when the
season was starting, we were going through all our previous stuff.
I said, hey, this looks like a year because Texas
didn't have the hard first year entrance to the SEC.
That was Oklahoma. Oklahoma got the killer schedule, Texas got
the lighter one. Texas schedule is much tougher next year,

(07:26):
and Oklahoma's schedule in the SEC is a lot lighter
than it was this year. And I thought back in August,
I said, hey, watch Texas. They were in the conference.
They were in the conference, excuse me, the College Football
Playoff last year. They returned a lot of players. You
got Quinn, you got Urch, you got all these weapons.
You got two offensive linen that are going into I
think maybe top fifteen sixteen in the first round of draft,
a couple of d linemen that are going to play
on Sundays, and their secondary is outstanding. So you know,

(07:48):
these two of those guys are gonna be starting the
NFL the next two to three years, right, So I
thought this could be a year that start could get
them back to the college FOTBA PLAYFF especially would have
been twelve teams. I think they're still in I'm fine
with that. But like you said with Kirby Man, when
you blink your eyes and you want to write off Georgia,
here they come, and rightfully. So we sit here and
we watch games. Georgia starts slow. It's nine points in

(08:09):
the third quarter at Kentucky. You know they's struggling against you, Matt.
You mass had a lead in that game at one
point where Georgia really should just be wiping these people
off the football field, just simply because of the players
they have, and most importantly the coach they have. Coaching
matters more than any other sport, in my opinion, not
more than any other sport than.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
Is college football. That's where coaching matters the most, well
twofold because you have to have a charismatic or at
least a coach that can connect with the youth, because
you got to convince them to come to your school,
right and that's going to be the big thing. And
also a guy who's got enough excess and o's and
motivation to keep the you know, twenty one year old

(08:51):
kids all in line.

Speaker 3 (08:53):
Earlier, especially today, Yeah, especially in today's world, you know,
and I own money and stuff.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
But so the the Big Twelve, we flirted with the
idea that Colorado could make it into this championship game.
And I'll talk about that later, no, but I'm just saying, know,
we talked about it, and we had the idea, and
I think part of it was I'm sure down in Tempe, Arizona,
Kenny Dillingham was probably just recording all the jackasses like
you and me who were talking about Colorado everywhere on

(09:19):
the national TV states talking about Colorado, and said, do
you see how they view you, Arizona State so Devils?
Do you see how they view you? Because the Arizona
State Sun Devils have put on a show, not just
as last week, I mean not just today rather when
they forty five to nineteen win against Iowa State to
win the Big Twelve, but the week before against Arizona

(09:40):
and going forward, this team was one of the worst
in the Pac Twelve last year. Now in the Big.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
Twelve conference champions When you look at this game today,
this thing got I mean, I'm trying to figure out
did Iowa State know that there was a football game
for a conference championship today because they didn't play like it,
and Arizona State did, from whistle to whistle, from tackle
to tackle, from block to block, from catch to catch,
and their body languages and Mary, you hear me talk

(10:06):
about this a lot. I love body language and football.
It means the world, people, it really does. And when
you see these kids when they know they got you,
when they know they know what you're gonna run, when
they know they're gonna execute a play, it's a different swag,
it's a different bounce, it's a different walk when they
break the huddle and get to the offensive line or
where they are on the defensive side. And when you
see guys jumping up and down and pointing on defense,

(10:27):
they know what's coming. They know what's coming. They're in
a zone. Arizona State is in that zone right now.
Do you even want to play them right now? If
you're anybody in the nation, I don't care who else
gets in the other eleven. There are certain teams I
just don't think I want to see. They may not
have the brand of a Oregon and Nike and Phil
Knight are the brand of Penn State and Happy Valley.

(10:50):
In the Big stadium there in Ohio State and the
Horseshoe and the Buckeye and here comes in the Arizona
State are even going against the Norder Dane the Golden Dome.
Touch down on Jesus, the lucky leper Kahn. This is
a team, man. I was super impressed with them, and
they pulled it back. They ain't scored the fourth quarter.
They probably could. This could have been fifty five, fifty six,

(11:11):
the nineteen. It could have got ugly. But they were
on this oud line already. They had backup saying they
knew what was up. Very pressed with Arizona State today.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
Yeah, I was too. I was. I mean I have
been the last few weeks. But to your point, they
got a good quarterback in Levit. Even though he's a freshman,
this Gatibo kids, Gottabu whatever, I mean, he's legit. He's
the definition of I'm going pro on something other than sports.
But in terms of the college level, yeah, you can't
knock all right, Mary, it's.

Speaker 4 (11:36):
Time to me want to get away.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
And I hope that those fars are leaving from Iowa
State because syd clones. Guess what, the Big twelve is
not going to be a two bid league. You are
now clear to make your vacation plans because you will
not be in the college football playoff. When you get
to your resort, make sure you take advantage of the

(12:01):
morning buffets. Get there early. The a's get really runny
and dry late, and everybody eats all the bacon. And
if you want to go in the scourgeon, jet skis
is Snorkeling is great there, but don't let the little
kid hustle you on the beach playing the guitar with
the shoe box and string on the stage of Shin
feed his family. But you got to do better than that. Bro,
have fun on vacation. Don't forget your son block.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
Yeah that tropical lion tropical to come in a brown bottle.
That's how I got all bronzie this summer.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
Coming up next will who else? Who else will be
booking that one way trip out of college football? Well
I have that? And uh is the goat coaching at
the goat basketball school. Hurt Huh her last night? What
her last night? The last night to that? Coming up
in just a minute. Fox Sports Football Saturday.

(13:47):
I don't. I still say it's what it's like when
the street changes its name, like you know, like the
street that I grew up, my my uncle lived on
was Havana Street when they changed. It's like George A.
Arthur Drive or something like that. It'll be Havana Street forever. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
Anyway, speaking then why can't I still call the Staples Center?
You got on me for that because it's Staple Center.
Staples is a company. I know that, But it's the
Staples Center. It's not Crypto dot com arena. No one goes, yeah,
I'm going down to crypto dot com arena.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
It says the whole thing. Well, I'll say this, nobody
would have said about a week and a half ago
that Bill Belichick would have been interviewing for the job
at North Carolina. You want to talk about things that
nobody would have said for five hundred Alex so Vija,
I have a handful two or three, have like three
like theories, all right, That is why this could be

(14:37):
the case. The first theory he wants to show that
he's got like an interest and available and ability to
do something different. Right. The entirety, the entirety of the
conversation from last from the summer, uh, from when he
was fired to when you know, everybody I was saying, Atlanta,
what are you doing? You know, it was but Belichick

(15:00):
the job doesn't report, but it was. Belichick doesn't want
to change. Belichick wants to do everything the same way. Well,
if he goes to college, he's got to change pretty dramatically. Right.
There's the game in general is differ. They have all
the things that.

Speaker 3 (15:13):
Are required about Okay, I thought you talking abou him
went in power and control.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
But I mean still okay, but you're still not the
big boss and you have way more than just an owner.
The answer to you, you got to have a good relationship
with the president, a good relationship with the a d
relationship with the biggest boosters, good relationship like Deon Sanders
knows that was his name, Like miss Peggy, the old
one like that. That's the whole thing in college sports, right,
like the old super fan who's been there forever once

(15:38):
you just is dying to see a title, right or Okay,
that's that's that's option one.

Speaker 3 (15:43):
That's clever, but go ahead option two. So option one
is what in the show interest like, I want to
do that.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
I can be different, I can change, I can okay, okay,
NFL college can I can do this? Got you? Option
to got you? Okay? They say they want this wrapped
up pretty soon, right, the whole report said the Carolina
Belichick thing, and want to wrap up pretty soon. This
is a message and NFL owners, if you're interesting, you're
gonna have to get me right back now. So, if

(16:10):
you're an NFL owner like shot Con, you've been considering
firing Doug Peterson this for most of the year, not likely, right, huh?
Not buying it? He didn't. He hasn't had his quarterback.
You can't fire, but I got you. But either way,
when they had the quarterback, they would still as you
would say, some sauce, all right, you know, but jets

(16:32):
opening right, jets opening available, say it's opening available right,
But this right now? If you are intube, if you're
the like but that's that's what that's what fires up.
If you're a team like the Raiders who may be
moving on. If you're a team like Cleveland who may
be moving on. If you're a team but if you're
one of these teams that may be moving on from
your head coach, well, deadlines per deals, and the idea

(16:55):
is like, day, do we really want to re up
for year two? Are are you another year of this?
Before interviewing Bill Belichick, is that what we really want
to do. That's why he's said I'm gonna have We're
gonna wrap this job up quickly. Option three. Dude just
loves ball. Dude is a coach, he's been a coach
for fifty years. Doesn't know what else he will see

(17:17):
this TV's not working in the same way, even though
he's good and I think he's funny. But like, there
are guys like like Larry Brown just was coaching at
SMU when it was all said Donell mac Brown, who
had the job before made millions and hundreds of millions
of dollars, said, you know what, I just want to
keep coaching, right, There are some guys who are like that.
Of those three, which one do you think is the

(17:38):
most realistic? And I know you probably have your own
unat but I want to I want to adjust. Your
three first wants to adjust. Don't buy it.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
I don't buy him being able to adjust. It is
a different game from the NFL to the NC double
A level, especially today now. The only saving grace is
he wouldn't have to adjust too much because these kids
get paid now too, So it's not the old way
that Saban didn't like and made him walk away. That
Diablo complains about in his main comments about and other coaches.

(18:11):
It's different now. The message to the NFL. I like
that one, but I don't think it's for the jobs
that are available. I think it's for the teams that
might be thinking about firing their coach.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
Because jobs available, you can wait till the seasons over
an interview for But it's like, Jerry yet, Jerry, you
want to do McCarthy Davis Hello, And those are the
two biggest brands other than the Steals.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
I believe in the NFL. The Raiders, the Cowboys, and
the Steelers. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. A Green
Bay of all time.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
Those are the four. Those are the There are no
four in the top five forever.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
So the Saints, man, Jags, man, your bear. Still you're right,
I'll give you. I'll say there's the five. There's the fight.
See how quick we did that, See how go we are?
But I think this is more. I love the point
that this is more for Hey, Vegas, Hey.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
Dallas.

Speaker 3 (19:03):
You know everybody's vying for Vegas right now that I
don't know we're getting till later the show.

Speaker 2 (19:07):
But Brian, Hello, I see you coach.

Speaker 3 (19:09):
But the one I like though, the loves ball.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
That's easy.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
I don't even think that one counts not to knock
your three choices. But of course he loves ball. Man,
this is what these guys do. This is what they
did on not to do anything else. He's great on TV.

Speaker 2 (19:23):
And it's crazy how Belichick got a knock for being
this uninteresting, boring, mean, you know, you know jerk right
for twenty years he sits on TV and I'm like,
did he just say he's not in Belichick? Yeah, he's
not good.

Speaker 4 (19:37):
It's the same with Brady. Yeah, second he left the Patriots,
he becomes so much more an interesting of a human being.

Speaker 3 (19:42):
We saw Brady like we saw Brady right Gronk as
soon as.

Speaker 4 (19:47):
Belichchack who was keeping everyone in that you know, zombie mode.
But now we see Belichick leave it.

Speaker 2 (19:52):
Well. I think also too, it's a little different when
it's a little different when you're Their job at that
time was to win, for just win super Now his
job is to be entertaining. You see what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
They were the best at locking in and knowing it's football.
They were the best franchise at that for twenty for
twenty straight years. The one that I want to divel
on is I think he's using his son. Ian and
I were talking off the air before we got doing
the commercial break. Its son, I think is going to
coach the team. I just can't see Belichick on the sideline,
but Belichick can come there.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
Now.

Speaker 3 (20:24):
The deal is not Iver heard anything to be head coach?
Is Belichick just to Carolina?

Speaker 2 (20:29):
No, it was except for him to be the thing
with the son is Steve was supposed to be head
coach in waiting and waiting like day one, walking in
the door.

Speaker 3 (20:38):
So then my little cynical mind goes, maybe they were
using this as their own little pipeline for a few
years for Belichick to get back to the NFL with
a bunch of college kids that he helped coach or
coached at Carolina. So then when he goes back to
the NFL, he now has an understanding of this new age,
this new breed of younger athletes. I was just with

(21:00):
them in college for a few years, so now I
know and feel it. But it gets belichick oles back. No, no,
it gets Belichick back to the NFL. He didn't have
to really change.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
Just go down here and learn his story was he
can't relate like Mac. He's like, oh, Mac Jones didn't
work because Belichick can't relate to the young quarterback. Was okay,
if you're saying it like that again, like you're saying relatability,
I can change. I can talk to these young kids
who wear pajama pants to parties and pajama pants the

(21:29):
school like class with flip flops.

Speaker 4 (21:31):
They are coming off of Mac Brown, though, who's you
know old himself? By the way, Mac Brown seventy three
years old, Bill Belichick seventy.

Speaker 2 (21:40):
Two years old.

Speaker 4 (21:40):
Yeah, seventy two years old today. Maybe they're just trying
to get younger. They're Mac Brown too old.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
They're like, look, we already got the elevators sold from
all right, speaking of Mac, we saw the MAC Championship there.
I'm sorry, just real fast, did you go there? I'll
tell you after Steve de Seger's update.

Speaker 6 (22:02):
You reference the Mac Ohio you dominated thirty eight three
over Miami, Ohio, And right now, early domination for Clemson
in the ACC Championship extra point makes it fourteen to
nothing over eight ranked SMU. Quickly, this is in the
first four and a half minutes of the game. There
was an early stripsack and Clemson on its first pass
in the ninth through thirty five yards for a touchdown.

(22:24):
They've just scored again, fourteen nothing Clemson Tigers in the lead.
Number one Oregon scored early their lead over Penn State
now seven to three mid first quarter, and it's Marshall
against Louisiana in the Sun Belt Championship early second quarter.
Marshall up seven to three. What an SEC title game
we had in Atlanta. Number five Georgia wins in overtime

(22:46):
against number two Texas twenty two to nineteen. Arizona State,
first year in the Big Twelve, took the conference crown
forty five nineteen over Iowa State. The final playoff bracket
will be announced Sunday along with the bowl matchups. Oklahom
mistake coach Mike Gundy agreed to a reduced contract. Seattle
Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker is out tomorrow with ankle

(23:07):
and calf injuries. Eagles tight and Dallas Goddard was placed
on injured reserve with a knee injury. Panthers linebacker Jadavian Clowney,
with a bad knee, is out for Sunday's game against
Philadelphia Vikings, kicker Will Riker was activated off injury reserves
and Minnesota cutkicker John Parker Romo. The LA Galaxy won
the MLS Cup Final. The San Francisco Giants signed shortstop

(23:29):
Willia Damas reportedly seven years, one hundred and eighty two
million dollars. In the NBA, Oklahoma City's winning again eighty
two point fifty five at New Orleans early third quarter,
and the Washington Wizards have lost sixteen games in a row,
but at home they're beating Denver in the third quarter
seventy nine sixty five despite twenty six points from Nicole

(23:50):
jokicch Back to.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
You, Thanks Steve Martin and VJA, coming to you live
from the tirerec dot Com Studios. VJ. Things have been
here up in the desert. Get it no, But seriously though,
are you and Ian on fire today?

Speaker 3 (24:11):
Mary's got the beat and going, oh we called the
BINGI look now a mix between.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
Watching you, hearing you laugh and watching Mary like watch
it click it is her laugh as well. That was
enough for me, not expected, not expecting to get the
reception anyway. It's been heating up in Vegas. Yesterday we
had all these you know, I mean the reports of
of coach Prime to Vegas is is growing and growing

(24:37):
and growing yesterday. I mean literally, I'm putting this together
to put on TV. Right how the story of Dion
being linked to the Raiders. And about fifteen minutes before
I finished the story, I look at Instagram and happen
to see Sha Door Sanders posting a Instagram story of
the Raiders stadium saying legendary, which I found funny because

(25:00):
is it not quite legendary? It's only like three years old.
But I'll let you have it. I understand it's a
chain now legendary, legendary And now is one line in
the KFC commercial that's kind of doors thing right now,
he just looks and just goes legend He can't put
anything else.

Speaker 3 (25:14):
Wait, he's just legendary. Under that's the thing. Okay, Okay,
you're making money. He following Dad, all right, Okay, following he.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
Got got got gotta got it. So, speaking of following Dad,
Dion was at a charity event in Vegas now also
speaking next to Antonio Pierce. Mind you as he's saying this,
but Dion says, I run the audio but it's too
was too muffled. Mary, don't worry. You didn't forget something

(25:43):
was plan it goes, you are truly the best, Dion
told Pierce. Now, I just need you to do one thing.
I need you to draft those Sanders boys. And then
ap goes, where are they at now? Now? The thing is, Antonio,
is this like when like in Goodfellas, when they're like

(26:05):
Joe PESHI, you know, hey, come to this meeting and
you're gonna be They're gonna make you into the family.
They'll put you in the family. But the meeting is
just you and two fellas in the basement, and then
you realize it to turn the lights on, it's over right.
Is Antonio Piers getting walked into the dark basement in
this moment, because it feels like Antonio Piers is getting
walked into the dark basement like we already built at

(26:27):
we already dunked a hole, like that level of thing
going on here, VJ. Your take. I love it. I
love it. I love it. I love it.

Speaker 3 (26:36):
I love it because I said I love this guy, man,
I support coach problem. That's my guy, And yes, this
makes total sense. It's a great fit. There are a
bunch of teams that the lead that's a great fit
for Dion, But honestly, hey, Vegas is one of them.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
It's Vegas.

Speaker 3 (26:50):
You think those celebrities and all the attention and all
stuff that he's bringing. The Boulder is not gonna bowl
well in Vegas for a franchise.

Speaker 2 (26:59):
And I like this because he's got no connection with
this franchise. It's not Dallas. It's not him going back
to coaching Florida State.

Speaker 3 (27:06):
It's not him going to coach with another coach in
the NFL that he might have played with like he
played in Baltimore, going to coach the Niner. It's the Raiders.
It's nothing. He's not connected to him at all. It's
a fresh start for his son.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
Number one overall. Pick the Vegas Raiders.

Speaker 3 (27:20):
Select Shador Sanders, quarterback Colorado perfect. You get his dad perfect,
time off and running off and running. Not gonna get Travis.
That's fine.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
But you got a lot of good players there. You
gotta tight.

Speaker 3 (27:34):
Endo, you got a d n WO, you got a
running back, you got weapons.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
You got some people there. You got some Yeah, and.

Speaker 3 (27:43):
Would I'll tell you I'm bringing my own luggage. I'm
coming and I'm bringing luggage. But he's coming from the
college world where he just recruited all these guys that
he's gonna go scout again for the draft, and he's
gonna be able to start faster if this all happens.
I'm speaking total and hypothetical, but you asked me how
I feel about it. I would love to see this
move and I would love to see him build that

(28:03):
franchise back to respectability. They are a brand, man, They're
like one of the original brands of football.

Speaker 2 (28:09):
Period. They've been horrible. Let's separate the two ideas, right,
Option A and Option B. Okay, all right, no, because
right now we're doing like an ab blend. Right, we're
thinking that all of this potentially could happen. That's the
way we was addressed with. Thus coach and son got you.
So let's say chances that Shadoor Sanders is a Vegas
Raider Option A, give me your odds there, and chances

(28:33):
that Dion Sanders is a Vegas Raider Option B, give
me your odds there. Separate the two. Dion Coach prime,
Ah Man, it's low. It's low because it would mean
all the recruiting that you do, right, now, and people
do this all the time in this sport. Coaches still
recruit up unto the last minute of when they're going
to leave. Sure, so I would give him, I would

(28:55):
say twenty percent. Twenty percent.

Speaker 3 (28:58):
He's leaving Colorado and he's going to Look, he's pitching,
he's right now, he's selling his kid. He's doing what
Dion does. He's marketing, right. He goes there and he says,
get them two boys. So he's helping.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
It's get it. I don't think where do you think
the falls for the quarterback for the quarterback? I think
it's maybe eighty to ninety percent. And the reason why
is so I go and not pull up the remainder
of their schedule. They're the worst team in the league
right now. In two and ten at the Bucks tomorrow
loss home against the Falcons, loss, Jaguars at home, coin
flip at the at the Saints loss, charges at home. Lost.

(29:27):
So they're gonna finish three and fourteen. I mean, I'm
be honest. I think even if they finished six and whatever, like,
they're gonna go get your door, sham ye. When to
trade up to the number one pick if it comes
to That's what I'm saying, I think a lot of
it has to do with the Brady influence of everything here.
But the thing too, we're looking at all these rookie

(29:48):
quarterbacks now right, we look at bow Knicks, who's had
who had started a little slow, been playing well thus far,
but I mean touchdown four picks in this first five game,
just not blowing you know, not blowing anybody off the wall.
When Daydon started out hot, now kind of came back
down to the earth. The one rookie that has been
as our producer Ian told me at the beginning of this,

(30:09):
at the beginning of the day, there's only one rookie
in the NFL who's been the best player at his position,
and that's tight end Brock Bauers, who you said, do
you take what the number one overall pick? I mean, now,
the value wouldn't have worked out in the way, but
in terms of best offensive football player in this draft,
when you're looking at it thus far, the argument is
the argument is there, should he be Rookie of the years?

(30:31):
The question, yeah, man, but see that's tough because I can't.

Speaker 3 (30:35):
Jayden Daniels has had a cool off period, but that's
gonna happen with rookie quarterbacks. That's gonna happen in football period.
I call it the dog days of the Fall and
winner man, when when October turns in November, that's when
the league really separates. Teams go on four to five
to six game winning streaks and then teams go on
four to.

Speaker 2 (30:51):
Five to six game losing streaks. The league gets separated.

Speaker 3 (30:54):
In my opinion, like October twenty fifth to like November
fifteenth is when the league separates.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
So that's when you'll see.

Speaker 3 (30:59):
A quarter kind of like, Look, Chicago's got a great defense,
but at the end of the day, you gotta think
about it. It took a hell mary from Jeny and
Daniels to beat there. He didn't play well that day
at all. Dallas goes in there and Dallas defense rattles
him around, and they're ten and a half point favorite
that day. We all sit here and we go, bro,
we can't take in Confero in division double digit spreads.

Speaker 2 (31:19):
We just can't. It's not it's a division game. It's
not gonna be what people think.

Speaker 3 (31:22):
It's gonna be a fistfight, and they can lose, and
they did, so you've seen you could put tape on
in five moments where he struggled, but because he started
so hot, and because he's a quarterback. This is still
a quarterback league, it's still a quarterback sport. It's still
a quarterback world. We're just all living in it. So
if it comes down to like last year, I thought
it should have been pooking the coup. I just I
really thought it should have. But I understand why CJ.

(31:44):
Trot won it. Part of why he won is because
he's the quarterback, so he should be. But I just
don't think he will win. I think he's I think
he's the best rookie. Find me a better rookie, not
just offensively, find me a better rookie in the NFL
this year than Rock Powers. Jared Verse has been he's
having agreed, but I'm not. You know, I'm not picking nits.

(32:04):
I feel you, but no, you're right about Verse. I've
been watching, I've been seeing I've been watching it. It's
it's dope. But what Brouck Bowers is doing on a
bad team Mark he doesn't have a quarterback, he doesn't
have a quarterback, and he's dominating like this.

Speaker 2 (32:19):
Well, I have a feeling he'll have one soon. Could
you imagine your do it throw him? Man? Yes, I can't.
In fact, I think that everybody in Vegas can as well.
And in fact I think they can imagine this so
much they've been trying to make it happen. They'll screw
it up. They'll win like these last three games, they'll
screw up the number one thing. Well, well, the benefit
that they have, the benefit that Vegas has in this

(32:43):
is that right now you have so many terrible teams
that have already invested heavily in their quarterback. In fact,
we have so many terrible teams have invested heavily in
their quarterback we could talk about them playing against each
other coming up in just a minute. That's how many
there are are. This has been a massive disappointment both
in the a f C and the NFC. This is

(33:05):
a game in which you got you know, the quarterback
ain't going nowhere. The coach might be on LinkedIn. We'll
get to that in just a minute. Martin White' VJ
Husky Fox Sports Football Saturday.

Speaker 1 (33:20):
Listen, Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
Martin and VJ coming to you live from the tire
rack Dot. That uh, that's actually fitting with this Texas
Christmas song. Who is this what's what's George George straight?
George George Straight.

Speaker 4 (33:38):
That's right, But I did this on purpose, by the way,
I thought it was.

Speaker 2 (33:41):
George Straight ironically enough. Yeah, I ain't gonna lie. I
ain't gonna lie. I ain't gonna lie. To tell you
right now, I had no idea. Who Sam Hale, This
was no George Straight. You gotta be kidding me. I'm
not daring to kidding you gotta be kidd Hobby. It's
a pig and slop you Samil who sings it? Sam Vil?

Speaker 7 (34:07):
No.

Speaker 2 (34:08):
Anyway, speaking of Texas, you got Dion Sanders that big
old cowboy hat, and those cowboy black people do wear
a cowboy hats the fact I have one. But Ian,
you were bringing something into commercial break, Go ahead, take
thirty seconds set it up, please.

Speaker 1 (34:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (34:23):
Just jumping off of that Raiders topic where you're just
talking about and coach Prime to Vegas, Shauduur trying to
force his way. They are seemingly I was just thinking
if if Shaudur were viewed because he's not, I feel
like we're all kind of inn agreement there that Shaudur
Sanders is not viewed as kind of your prototypical first round,
first overall pick caliber quarterback.

Speaker 2 (34:39):
He's good, so I would say definitely first round, but
definitely not slam dunk number one over right, exactly. Like
that's what my disagreements comes in. That's why I wanted
to bring this one.

Speaker 4 (34:47):
In, Okay, because well, the finishing point there. The question
based off of that is if he was like a
Caleb williams s prospect, do you think people the general
public would have more of an issue with the fact
that he and his dad are trying to force his
way to Vegas.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
No, times are different, guys, it is times are different.

Speaker 3 (35:04):
Caleb Williams father stepped in and said, stuff, Eli Manning's dad. Okay,
let's not John Elway. And I know Johnay was a
long time ago, but John always I'll go play baseball,
you know what I'm saying. Bo Jackson, go watch bow
nose the thirty for thirty. But this has happened before.

Speaker 2 (35:17):
I think we're in the era, and I think that's
why it was good college kids started getting played paid
because now it takes somebody edge off of Oh my god,
I can't believe they're trying to do it. Yes, I'm
a dad. I would like my son to play here,
But I played in this league.

Speaker 3 (35:33):
I have a gold jacket, I have multiple Super Bowl rings.
We just applauded Lebron forgetting his son, said his saying,
whether you liked it or not, I thought, hey dog.

Speaker 2 (35:43):
That's his son. Be clear, some did like some did.
It was not a universal round of applause. Look how
cool it is what the Lakers did with the fifty
fifth overall pin. Yeah, yeah, that's what the reception would
be here.

Speaker 4 (35:55):
And imagine if like last year, Caleb Williams drove by
a high you know, the Giants or something. Say he
drove by MetLife Stadium the Giants and put on his
story legendary or something, and it seemed like he and
every time the Giants lost, he's like, thank god, you know,
and like he's clearly trying to pour his way to
that team. The greatest people don't seem to have too

(36:15):
much of an issue with him doing that. But I'm saying,
like if Caleb had been doing it, or this.

Speaker 2 (36:19):
Is my theory is because the general media public has
spent the last twenty four months debating the merits or
demerits of Dion Sanders himself, that at this point, you
are most people are locked in there where they are like,

(36:40):
we're not changing their minds, especially not changing their mind
with the success that he had this year, it gives
everybody who was saying give him time, well, this is
the time that he needed no pun intended. Everyone's saying well,
and everyone who was saying well, I just don't like
the way this went. Well now it's like, well, you know,
he's winning. I still don't love it. But you know,
it's kind of like the same attitude those kids in

(37:02):
Georgia better slow down, you know, as Kirby Smart continues
to dominate college football right, kind of the same attitude there.
I think that really boils it down. The other thing
in I don't think that. I think that while I
do not think that Shador is a slam dunk number
one overall pick, I think that all the other quarterbacks involved,
he is head and shoulders better than everyone else. If

(37:25):
if he was coming out last year, we'd have a
lot more different conversations because you'd have Caleb Williams and
and Bo Nicks and Michael Pennix and now I'm forgetting
Jayden Daniels. You'd have all those guys in that class
to compare them against Schador. To me, Stan's head and
shoulders as QB one in this class. So it's just
a question who wants to draft him where.

Speaker 3 (37:44):
I think he's QB one for sure, and I also
think he's overall number one, because my question, my rebuttal
back would be Okay, if he's not, they tell me
who is, then give me the player.

Speaker 2 (37:52):
What I'm saying, I'm not saying in this class. I'm
saying if you were like when you compare like Caleb
Williams to me was the number one overall pick and
a lot of different draft I get.

Speaker 3 (38:01):
That's what I'm saying, Andrew, is that even fair to
do because we can't. We can we can only do
his class, we can only.

Speaker 2 (38:07):
Do his draft. We're talking about how with the level
of prospect, how generational quote unquote could he be.

Speaker 3 (38:14):
I'm honest, I don't think he's generational. I think he'd
be a great NFL quarterback. I think he's an exceptional
college quarterback. But I've always knocked him and said, there's
things you need.

Speaker 2 (38:21):
To work on.

Speaker 3 (38:22):
Stop back pedaling, stop scrambling back. You're gonna have to
fix that in the NFL bro, are you gonna.

Speaker 2 (38:27):
Be on the sideline.

Speaker 3 (38:27):
You could be Aaron Brooks, or you could be Donovan McNabb,
or you could be Mike you could be like Shador
can be a great NFL quarterback. But my thing is
this year he is undoubtedly the number one overall pick,
because there's not a guy that you can tell me
that's even close to him to be that other than
Travis Hunter. Other than this year, for sure, yeah, other
than Travis Hunter.

Speaker 4 (38:47):
But there's a disrespecting cam Ward too much though cam warden.

Speaker 2 (38:50):
I'm not a believer a Camwoton. You're saying like, I'm
no disrespect to cam Ward. But I watched Uncarned Word,
I watched Washington State, I watched Miami. At no point
that I was like, this is a slam dunk NFL
prospect like to me and in the NFL that VJ
and I grew up watching cam Ward is a check
on a third round pick. He might not be that.

(39:11):
He could be Charlie Ward.

Speaker 3 (39:12):
And Charlie Ward won the Heisman, and Charlie Ward I
wore seventeen in high school because of Charlie Ward.

Speaker 2 (39:16):
So I'm not knocking them at all.

Speaker 3 (39:17):
I love the guy, but the same initials, same last
name man. But yeah, back back to back to uh Chador.
And even with cam Ward, I'm a little different. I
think Cam Warred could be an NFL quarterback because the
way football is constructed today. He does have a nice arm,
he can move his mobile in the pocket. But I
dare it's a bad tape. There's a there's a lot
of bad tape. It's like with Kayla Williams, there's four
bad games last year, Like you're not generational with four

(39:38):
bad games in one year. I'm sorry, I don't see
it that way. But with Shador, I'm number one overall.
Pick QB one coming up next?

Speaker 2 (39:47):
Can the new upstart knock off the old guard because
it has been domination by one side? But we'll see.

Speaker 1 (39:55):
Don't listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (39:58):
That's right, and we're broadcasting live on a college football
championship Saturday from the tire rack dot com studios. Tire
rack dot com will help you get there with an
unmaxed election, fast free shipping, free road as a protection,
and over ten thousand recommend that this dollars tire iraq
dot com so I tire buying should be BJ let's

(40:19):
we're all over the college football championships. I mean as
conference championships, I should say, which I mean really at
this point is kind of and playoff seatings not too
many one and go homes after this all see today's
all seating, but it's all seeded. But I mean it
still matters a ton in the grand scheme of things.
And here's the other thing, folks, this is just the

(40:41):
first year of the twelve team playoff. It will not
always be this way. It will not always be this
way where we're looking at these some of these conference
championship games determining seating only there will be moments like
we saw in the SEC title where it's when get
in a big twelve title, when you get in, lose,

(41:03):
go home, like, there will be that. So everybody who's
like this stinks, relaxed, calmed down a little bit. Second
point on that real quickly. Everybody who jumped to the
whatever social media of choice these days and was like,
as Carson Beck got hurt at the end of the
first half and goes, oh, well, I don't know. Apparently,

(41:23):
I'm sure the committee is gonna view what it's like
not having a quarterback because of what happened in Florida
State last year? Right, right, And then the rest of
the Internet's like, ha ha ha, what a funny joke,
or they're like, shut up crying, Florida State fan vij
here's the very simple reality too. But listen, no, you don't, no,

(41:48):
you don't, because back back then there were four. Now
there were twelve. It's like getting mad about coming in
third in a competition that was winner, take, and then
the next year they opened it up to first, second,
and third. He's like, well, if only they had done
it the year before. Well they didn't and you didn't

(42:08):
get it.

Speaker 8 (42:09):
Yeah, yeah, I feel you, sorry, but but yeah, no, no,
just just fast off of it. It's I have people
that I know they really think this is going to sixteen.

Speaker 2 (42:20):
Guys, we're not done it. Twelve. I mean I could
see it. I takeough. Well, eight would have been enough
for me.

Speaker 3 (42:27):
Five Power five champions and then three at largest that's it, okay.
And now because you had a team like SMU have
a great year at eleven to one, eight and eighth
in the country, but right now looking almost to go
down twenty four to twenty seven, twenty four to seven
against Clemson forty fourteen minutes left at a second quarter
in that game. If they make this field goal, this

(42:47):
is that's an anomaly. You know what I'm saying, Like,
we're not gonna get this every year from an SMU.
It's still the big dogs that's gonna win this thing.
No one, no one's coming from twelve to win this thing.
It's not happening. In college football. You have to have
way too many things to go your way, and if
you're the top two or three seeds, you gotta you
have to have way so much go wrong, all right, say,

(43:08):
the only way that it could happen is sort.

Speaker 2 (43:14):
Of the thing that we're seeing now. I don't think
that this will happen this year, but this is the
scenario in which it occurs. Yes, but your three loss
Bama team gets in, But not this Alabama I'm talking about.
I know another Alabama, even like a two loss Saban
Bama team. Some of those years you give them another
shot and they get two weeks to prepare with Saban.

(43:37):
Oh dude, you're losing by twenty even if you beat
in early x Texas A and M. One of those
types of teams to go on a run. I'm with you.
All right, let's transition to the senior circuit here the
NFL so Manci Bilano said this earlier and she listens
apparently because she might text me. Yes, said she will

(43:58):
text you to She said, the Chiefs have been feels
like they've been trying to lose, like they like they
was like they're going out there and where. But it
feels like they're trying to lose, like it's like whatever win,
we win. And then even in the post game after
the last Chiefs game, you heard Andy Reid going in

(44:19):
there like, we're gonna get this thing turned around. Guys,
We're gonna get this thing turned around. They have the
best record in the AS and the ASC tied for
the best record in that belt. But Andy reason, we're
gonna turn this thing around. Right now. Jim Harbaugh and
the Chargers, you want to talk about a complete opposite
flip of vibes. Right team not nearly as good record
wise as the Chiefs right record wise, but the Chargers

(44:43):
fans are walking on air. You know that that Marianne
do from that Sunday night game. I'm sure she she
she's loving. She probably has a Jim Harball fat head
in her bedroom. The vibes in Los Angeles have been incredible.
They have they play today, I play, I'm sorry, played tomorrow, DJA.
I have a handful. I have a feeling that you're

(45:05):
gonna go with your boy. Jimmy Berger's here to go
ahead and upset the Kansas City Chiefs. Go ahead, layout
the layout? What did Chargers need to do to beat
the Chiefs? Because it seemed the Raiders couldn't do it,
the Broncos couldn't do it. What did the Chargers need
to do to beat Kansas City?

Speaker 3 (45:22):
It's gonna be hard without some of their weapons that
are hurt. But Dobbs is on the high r all right,
so you're in Haskins.

Speaker 2 (45:28):
Now. You know what's funny.

Speaker 3 (45:29):
I thought about you watching the game last week against
the Falcons, because when dobb is we hear Dobbins is out,
I look at you and I go Haskins tomorrow over
under seven carries we both for like over. He fumbled
on the first play of first carry, which gave up
points to Atlanta. He didn't touch the field the rest
of the game. So Harball sat his guy down. He

(45:50):
had him in college. He set his guy down. So
what they're gonna have to do is use that defense
that they've been using. Derwin James was on fire last
week after kind of having a subpar game the week
prior to against the against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday
Night Football. So I think their defense is gonna have
to do with the defense does the Chiefs. I don't
think that they've been trying to lose games. I just

(46:13):
think that this is their third year trying to go
for a Super Bowl, in which they won two. The
previous two years.

Speaker 2 (46:20):
They've played until the AFC Championship Game or the super
Bowl for the last four years, excuse me, And I
think that it's just starting to It wears on you
like the Patriots had years where they were losing the
divisional round and you go, what, well, yeah, dude, they
just played in three of the last four super bowl
That's a lot of football.

Speaker 3 (46:41):
And to be locked in the way they're locked in, right,
they don't have fun.

Speaker 2 (46:44):
It's business up there. It's cold, it's jury.

Speaker 3 (46:47):
I used to live in and kids can't and avon
up there in Massachusetts. I used to be up there.
I know it's not pleasurable, it's not in all you
got is football. So that's what they did, and that's
what they do. So when you're when you're locked in
like that, it weighs on you when the year, the
seasons go long, man. And I don't think they're trying
to lose games. I just think that no, I mean,
she's I got not trying to lose I know, but

(47:10):
just they like flying. I'll say, like this, flying close
to the sun. Sooner or later, your damn wings are
gonna melt.

Speaker 2 (47:16):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (47:16):
I think that's what they're doing. What the Chargers have
to do, though, defense has to be on point. Their
top five and defensive third down conversions, they're they're the
number one score defense in football, and they're also a
top five team in turnover differentials. Like they their defense
is gonna be what they're gonna need. Now on the
offensive side of the ball, they've gotta find Quinn. Listen,

(47:37):
I banged on them enough. Give me thirty seconds. I've
banged on you enough. Okay, I'm looking in the camera
right now, Quinn Johnston, Bruh, you gotta do it now.

Speaker 2 (47:46):
You you got it. I'm telling you. If you don't
now click this marror. If you don't now.

Speaker 3 (47:50):
You're gonna be out of league in two to three
years because they'll cut you after this year. You'll get
picked up by some other team, but then they see
you on work. Then you'll be on somebody's practice squad,
and then you'll be in the USFL. I'm telling you,
I've seen this happen with receivers. A guy like you
has got to be present tomorrow. You've got to be present.
You can't leave at the lad McConkey. You just can't
not against this Chiefs defense, which is very, very good.

(48:13):
And I'm probably gonna put trind on him and that
locks that down. Well that'll be era, sure, Yeah, that
locks that down. You put tred on him, That locks
that down. Okay, So this has to be the time
where a guy like Quinn and You've got to show up.

Speaker 2 (48:26):
You just got to man.

Speaker 3 (48:27):
And I think they need a third They need a
third offensive guy that just has one of those days
for them. Cannot turn the ball over against this Chiefs defense.
But they had this team with ten points in the
fourth quarter earlier this year, so the defense knows they
know them. This is a division game, this is this
is gonna be a fistfight. It's gonna be a little
cold out there, but I do I do expect the

(48:49):
Chargers to go out there and keep it close. I'm
sure you don't have this as one of our picks.
I'll get my picked in, but I think the Chargers
will go out there and have a close but defense.

Speaker 2 (48:56):
Third down turnovers, Yeah. See. For me, I think I've
been looking to paying attention to this right the conversation
are the Chiefs lucky or are they good? I think
that part of being good in the NFL is being
drilled down to the point that you aren't making the
type of mistakes that can't make it like those that

(49:19):
to me is like, yeah, that makes you really good.
It makes you really good that your center doesn't snap
the ball to the quarterback and on the last snap
of the game. That means why did why did that
happen to them and not you? It's because you're better
than them, that you prepared, like, it's not like it
was just a magic thing that happened, or it's just,

(49:41):
oh my goodness, can you believe it? A meteor struck
and the center sniped the ball before was ready.

Speaker 3 (49:48):
It's it's not luck. You didn't win the Church Bingo
you know, it's not.

Speaker 2 (49:52):
Luck that that the the the right guard on the
field goal attempt for the Brock got ran over. It's
not luck, but it's not luck because well it hurts
because I probably could have paid my rent that field
goal had gone. You could have paid it with that.
And there's no doubt in my mind that will Lutz,
who I've watched many game winning field goals for New

(50:14):
Orleans over through my days, and that Sean Payton will
Let's connection. Oh yeah, of course New Orleans. He would
have made that field goal. But it doesn't matter because
Kansas City had seen something over this out at the
right time. That doesn't make you lucky. That makes you really, really,
really freaking good. Fourteen straight games, one possession wins. And

(50:39):
sometimes throughout the course of things you'll get lucky. Like
sometimes David Tyreell pinned the ball to his helmet Toronto
by three people, right and as Rodney Harrison is swiping
at the ball, And that's just an example. I got you, Yeah,
but you had to get to the moment and then
all of us like, once you get you know what,

(50:59):
you could be unlucky. Maybe you're Kansas City a few
years back and you get to the Super Bowl. First
Super Bowl for Patrick bar you know, for one of
the trying to stack and you know you're going up
against Brady and all of a sudden, both your tackles
get hurt by you. Now you don't got no tackles.
You know what, that's bad luck. It's bad luck. But
if you're able to overcome that, you know what, that
makes you really really really freaking good. The Chiefs are

(51:22):
really really good. And what is and the thing I
think is the most impressive and one of the things
that actually matter of fact, this is something that Kansas
City does. That's what I hate when people say that
you're not you're lucky. You might want to continue this
conversation into the next segment we'll see here. But something
that Kansas City does that they do every week did
they get chastised for, which is like just winning the game,

(51:44):
don't care necessarily how it looks or what it feels like.
They just win, right the Lion. The Lions did that
on Thursday, and I think on Friday everybody missed it.
Everybody back because it's all Dan Gamble, Dan Gamble going
for on fourth down, Dan Campbell going forward and deepen
his own territory. Now, Kansas City kicks a lot of

(52:05):
field goals because they do not have the offensive firepower
they once did. Even though they got my homes, it's
still we know we're probably gonna score somewhere between eighteen
and twenty four points. Let's go ahead and hold the opponents.
Is below that in Detroit on in Detroit on Thursday,
they had every member BJ every single member of the

(52:28):
front seven. I look this up. Who played over forty
percent of the snaps on Thursday night was on a
practice squad in twenty twenty three. Their defense is decimated.
Defense is decimating. They gave up a touchdown on that
one where Jamier Gibbsons tackle fourth and thirty, fourth and
two on his own thirty one yard line. Guess what
they were giving up a touchdown the next drive regards

(52:51):
they said, we're going to win this game with our
best unit. Yeah, they're like, oh, it's only thirty six
seconds left. I don't know if either how much time
was on the clock when the Bears lost to the Commanders.
The play before wasn't the nine seconds or something crazy
like that, But do.

Speaker 3 (53:07):
You see what I'm saying, Like thirty seconds is enough
the Bears. They can think about things giving day with
the Bears exactly.

Speaker 2 (53:12):
They had thirty one seconds exactly, and they blew, and
they blew the whole thirty one seconds. So but you're
looking at a defense in which Jamal Adams and Kwan
Alexander are playing over forty percent of the snaps. No,
this is not the twenty fifteen Pro Bowl. This is
twenty twenty four. Okay, that's what you're doing here. And
you got the best offensive line in football, you know

(53:33):
what I mean. So like, no, it wasn't just let's
just recklessly gamble. And the last thing I'll say people say, oh,
Dan Campbell's got to change his attitude because he's no
longer the underdog. I know what Vegas said in that game.
The lines were three point favorites. Any game in which
you are starting, you are starting playing seven guys who

(53:53):
were on practice squads at the start of the season,
you are the underdog. You are the underdog.

Speaker 3 (53:59):
Absolute great job by them, too, man, And people people
are stupid, Honestly, I do you know me? I said,
I don't care people stupid? He why why he's an
old school football guy. There's people I'm in a press box,
a press room with with Harball who don't like don't
like him?

Speaker 2 (54:13):
You know how I react to that. The first time
I got looked.

Speaker 3 (54:15):
At me was like, oh god, I can't stand him. Dude,
I looked at him. I want I want to fight.

Speaker 2 (54:19):
What hold on?

Speaker 5 (54:20):
You?

Speaker 3 (54:20):
Watch your mouth? First of all, that's called you taught
your mouth. Shut your shut your mouth. That's coach Harball.
You're talking about the hell you mean you don't like him?

Speaker 2 (54:27):
Who are you? What do you do? All right?

Speaker 3 (54:29):
You shut up and sit down and act your damn questions.
You don't talk about coach Harbball like he's a football guy, Like, yeah,
you can have the charismatic guy to sit there and
says all the answers three phases, all three phases.

Speaker 2 (54:39):
The game they played really well. We have a lot
of respect for them. That decordinator is really good. He
has those guys already prepared. So we got to prepare
our guys too, to get ready to do batter on Sunday.

Speaker 3 (54:47):
Yeah, okay, if that's what you want to hear, or
do you want to hear somebody just talk like football,
genuine love for the game and the guys that he's
around and that he coaches and things of that nature.
That that's that's Dan Campbell, dude. That post game, that
post game in the locker room our standard.

Speaker 2 (55:01):
Really quick. Have you started hard knocks AFC North yet?
I have not? But Tomlin is the steals the show's
come on, man, what did you do that? Who told
you that? I mean I didn't see it. I know
that somebody told you. Yeah, I mean, all right, that
person keep their mouth shuit. Don't be spoiling stuff. It's
just this is my job every day.

Speaker 3 (55:17):
Well, I know you have MS one say my say,
look my Saturday co host told me, you guys need to,
you know, quiet down on the sport list because I
go in talking about.

Speaker 2 (55:24):
It and it sets him off. All right, Well here's
the thing starting it tonight. We just had Thanksgiving, right,
pumpkin pie stoop potato by the eternal debate? Is the
Apple turnover making a comeback? And I promise you this
is about the NFL. Martin and VJ Fox Sports Football.
Saturday football fans, be sure to tune into Fox Sports

(55:46):
radios count down the kickoff beginning at ten am. Me's
from seven am Pacific for countdown the Kickoffers by Bett MGM.
That's every Sunday morning. Brian Know, Jeff Schwartz a professional
better Bill Krackenberger. What have you covered three hours before kickoff?
Every Sunday morning. Listen to Countdown to kick Conference by
Bet MGM right here on Fox Sports Radio and the
iHeartRadio app so VJ. We were just talking about this

(56:10):
right now. Conference championship games. At least the SEC provided
some drama because nothing so far coming from the ACC
and the Big Ten absolutely not.

Speaker 3 (56:20):
Oregon is flexing right now. It's two type of different
types of athletes on the field. SMU is shooting himself
in the foot, not saying Clemson is not doing anything
because they have to score and drives, but one is
because Kevin Jennings, the quarterback from SMU, turned the ball
over inside their own thirty five yard line and then
Clemson turn around and push that on. Right now, Clemson
is at the thirty six of the excuse me, the

(56:42):
twenty six yard line of SMUs looking like they're about
to put more points on the board, but they've missed
the field goal and they also have two turnovers. They're
shooting themselves in the foot and just not playing sound
football right now. And when you get to this point,
you gotta play sound football actual and LV. Last night
you got to play sound football, man cheddar Bob.

Speaker 2 (57:00):
Some shoot themselves, Yeah exactly. I love that. Everyone loves
eight mile. I don't care you am white, don't live.
I go do that line, Go ahead, finish it. I
saw I remember right now? Uh no, And I got
a friend that shoots his lace. So in the lake
ball the future isn't Uncle Tom his uncle town. There

(57:21):
you go. You don't know the amount of people that
I know that actually went to Cranbrook the private school
a lot. Oh wow, that's right. You're from up that way.
So you went to Cranbrook to private school. It's actually
called Cranbook Kingswood, and it'll cast you a college tuition
for freshman year. Anyway, speaking and playing clean football. His

(57:42):
real name is Clarence. Clarence. Parents have a really good
married I had a friend of high school named Clarence.
It did not go well. It's my grandfather's name. RP.
Mischian granddad. So the Bills played the Rams. The last
few times these two teams played. It was remember the
Rams off the Super Bowl. High and Buffalo smacked them
that many many years ago in the NFL. NFL year

(58:03):
is like reverse dog years, like a week as an
NFL year, Right, Well, that's our fault. No, this business.
This was just the opening of the season three years ago.
Now the entire rosters are different. That happens to That's
what I'm saying. That's why it's like reverse dog gears.
But the ultimate question that to ask is Josh Allen
has been knocking on the door of MVP like always

(58:26):
finishing like last year, gotta vote instead of everybody voting
for Lamar Jackson. He's always been knocking on the door.
But right now the Bills in a situation where I
was high on them going into the season, but a
lot of people were not after losing Gibbs, not Gibbs,
Who the hell is Gibbs. You know what Gibbs is.
It's a mix between Gabe Davis and Stefan Diggs. I

(58:47):
don't know why I mixed the g d running back
that's in Detroit. Well, he ain't going nowhere anyway. But
after losing their receivers, Matt Mulano got hurt. Jordan Poyer
moved on, Michael Hyde moved on. This team was supposed
to be done for or Buffalo instead has a prohibitive
lead in the division, one of the best teams in AFC,
and against the other best teams in AFC have really

(59:08):
showed well. Is this the year Josh Allen gets it
done in terms of the MVP?

Speaker 3 (59:14):
Oh no, no, no. The MVP, in my opinion, is
all but locked up. Oh no, yeah, I think so.
Saquon would have to fall off the map. And so
with Lamar there are your two front runners in the clubhouse.
It's not gonna be Josh al Now, if let's say
the Ravens going they they lose to it the next
four right, senego to it. Okay, I can see Lamar
then not even care about the MVP. I were just

(59:36):
trying to get to the playoffs. We're just trying to
and voters will kind of fall off of that. It
could turn it to a sympathetic vote this year, which
I've heard people go, I don't believe in it. We're
human beings, people, stop it, stop it. Okay, don't try
to get me to believe your profession doesn't make you
a human being, because that's not true.

Speaker 2 (59:51):
All right, we know that that's fact.

Speaker 3 (59:53):
So I think there could be if they finish what
thirteen and four, at fourteen and three, you see you okay,
you know he's had this type of year, Pat mahomes Is.

Speaker 2 (01:00:04):
You know they're flying close to the sun.

Speaker 3 (01:00:06):
Their defense is holding them in the case, he hasn't
really exploded. Jalen Hurts now has sa Quon. So his
MVP numbers of drop. You got Derek Henwy within a
two time winner. He's already won it twice. So you know,
you get MVP, you get voting fatigue.

Speaker 2 (01:00:20):
I could see him kind of winning it then, But
just tell me what's gonna stop sa Quan.

Speaker 3 (01:00:25):
Sat Quan is still gonna go out and do what
he do. He would have to fall off the planet
in my opeon for him to lose the MVP.

Speaker 2 (01:00:31):
No date it goes down. What will keep Sakuon Barkley
out of the conversation? All right, not his fault, nothing
different than he could do. But week fourteen to have
Carolina expect a I mean something tomorrow, A Carolina expect
the huge game. I expect a huge game. Carolina is
giving up right now, A one hundred and sixty six
point eight. Expect a ton of that.

Speaker 1 (01:00:53):
Right.

Speaker 2 (01:00:54):
Here's the problem though, So we both expect the Eagles
to finish after on Monday to be eleven and two. Yes,
there will. The Commanders on a buy are eight and five.
The Eagles are essentially locked in because the Seahawks, whoever
wins the NFC West, is gonna have five losses at least. Right,

(01:01:16):
whoever wins the NFC South is gonna have six losses
at least They're locked into the.

Speaker 3 (01:01:23):
Two seed just about. The Eagles are yes with a
shot still at the one. The only way they win
the one seed is if the Lions lose a game.

Speaker 2 (01:01:33):
I know, I'm just playing.

Speaker 3 (01:01:34):
It out there to win out and the Eagles have
to continue to win to I mean, I mean, wut,
But the Lions would have to drop a game.

Speaker 2 (01:01:40):
So what the Eagles are gonna have to do is
they're gonna have to measure how much do we want
to buy first? How much do we rest our? Guys?
Because the last three games they have Cowboys, Giants, Commanders,
all teams that are done for, all teams that are
not going to be giving up a lot of resistance,

(01:02:02):
all teams that is with and if you're failing and
you have the dream of winning a Super Bowl this year,
which you absolutely should. You gotta think maybe we need
to give a minute for a guy who has rushed
more than any NFL running back has rushed since Eric Dickerson.

Speaker 3 (01:02:18):
Sounds good, but that's not gonna happen those last three
games at Commanders home against Cowboys, home against the Giants.

Speaker 2 (01:02:24):
That's the vision, guys. It doesn't matter.

Speaker 3 (01:02:26):
Okay, some guys, some starters, might have a hamstring that
hurts a little more. You guys know how I view
football and how I look at the truth of it.
Some guys may have a little something else that's wrong
with them. But those other guys that's playing, they're playing
for their next contract, they're playing for more playing time
next year, They're playing for star positions for another team.

Speaker 2 (01:02:41):
Those guys are still gonna gonna show up.

Speaker 5 (01:02:43):
Now.

Speaker 3 (01:02:43):
We gotta get to see real cood. We hit this
when we come back. But I think they're fine there
the Stellers game, even at home. Stillers are a tough
football team. That defense is magnificent, even though it will
only give up ninety rushing yards a game. Yeah exactly, Yeah, no,
one of the best, exactly. But you can move the
ball on them. Bro showed that last week. But I
think the Eagles they still could catch one until one

(01:03:06):
is cemented that is Detroit. I still I still think
they can catch what. I have to look at Detroit
schedus see they have coming out, but Detroit's powerful. But
your your your thought process of do we want to buy?
Arrest our guys. We want to buy right like you
want to You want to keep, you want to keep.
The buy will be out of reach. That's that's that's
the biggest one. And at that point you race your guys.
I'm not You're not resting guys.

Speaker 2 (01:03:26):
If you're locked into the two seed and you play
the physical brand of football that the Eagles do. If
I'm locked into the two seed, I'm not gonna be playing.
And again this is You're only gonna be doing this
for a week most I'll start Jalen Inquan, but I'm
not getting them hit.

Speaker 3 (01:03:45):
Okay, if listen, I agree with you. January fifth, Homi
gets the Giants two seed. No matter what. When we
wake up that morning, Saquan, Jalen, they don't play. I'm
with you on that last game of the year. When
we wake up that morning, we're a two seed doesn't matter.
So that's the second and last game of the year.
That's another Giant the Giants game of home. That no
Giants game on home. There last game of the year.

Speaker 2 (01:04:04):
Somebody wrote this in the dumb order. Why would you
write the Cowboys the Giants?

Speaker 3 (01:04:10):
And when you were reading it, I'm looking at I'm like,
why is he jumping around? It's the Commanders at Commanders
Home against the Cowboys.

Speaker 2 (01:04:15):
Got credit out this article. In the final three weeks,
the Eagles face their three division opponents, the Cowboys, the Giants,
and Commanders. What type of shirt order? Because I was
about to make a point about how you know we're
looking at the Eagles Commanders. That's gonna be that'll be
the final game for the Eagles of the season, and
it'll be the first game they have in the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (01:04:36):
If everything holds true, they'll win the division in that
game right there. That'll put the division away for the Eagles.
You know what, that's Martin tearing up the paper.

Speaker 2 (01:04:44):
Guys. Let's kick it over to Steve the Seger. It's
College Football Championship weekend time, that it is. And by
the way, Steve will have everything in the right order
I'm sure of it. You mentioned the NFL.

Speaker 6 (01:04:56):
That is the Fox TV game tomorrow in the late
afternoon window with Buffalo, winners of seventh straight, playing at
the LA Rams, and you mentioned Philadelphia, which is one
eighth straight hosting Carolina. The Eagles have the league's top
ranked defense, Carolina the league's worst rushing d they allow
over thirty points a game, and the Panthers are last

(01:05:16):
in the NFC in total.

Speaker 2 (01:05:17):
Offense as well. That's the matchup.

Speaker 6 (01:05:19):
As for college football, Georgia in overtime one in Atlanta
to take another SEC crown, beating number two Texas twenty
two to nineteen. Texas is eleven and two, both losses
to Georgia. The Longhorns will be hosting a first round
playoff in two weeks. By the way, the final playoff
bracket will be announced Sunday along with the bowl matchups.

(01:05:40):
Notre Dame is number four in the country, but it
cannot get a first round by because as an independent,
it cannot be a conference champ, so the Irish would
be hosting a first round game. Arizona State won the
Big twelve first year in the conference forty five nineteen
in the final over Iowa State. Currently it's number one
Oregon leading twenty eight seven against third rank Penn State

(01:06:01):
under four minutes to go in the first half. This
is the Big Ten Championship game. In Indianapolis, Oregon quarterback
Dylan Gabriel with three touchdown passes. In the ACC Final
in Charlotte, it's Clemson a head twenty four to seven
over eighth ranked SMU about three and a half minutes
to go till halftime. SMU's quarterback Kevin Jennings with an
early fumble. He's thrown an interception. Meanwhile, Kid Klubnick Clemson

(01:06:25):
with three touchdown passes in the first period. Ohio University
took the MAC Conference in Detroit, thirty eight to three
over Miami Ohio and halftime. In the Sun Belt Championship game,
Marshall leads seventeen to three. At Louisiana, Seahawks running back
Kenneth Walker is out tomorrow with ankle and calf injury.
Seattle will play at Arizona. Eagles tight end Dallas Goddard

(01:06:48):
was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury. Eagles
wide receiver Devonte Smith will return Sunday from a hamstring injury.
Panthers linebacker Jadavian Clowney, with a bad knee, is out
for Sunday's game at Philly, and Vikings kicker Will Riiker
was activated off injury reserve and Minnesota cutkicker John Parker Romo.
Vikings will be hosting Atlanta among the seven NBA games.

(01:07:10):
Another win for Cleveland. The Cabs won at Charlotte one sixteen,
one oh two behind forty one points from Evan Mobley.
The Oklahoma City won again one nineteen, one oh nine
at New Orleans for the Pelicans, Brandon Ingram left with
an ankle injury. Believe it or not, it was Washington,
losers of sixteen straight, just now beating Denver one twenty

(01:07:30):
two to one thirteen in the final. In college hoops,
Number five Marquette defeated number eleven Wisconsin eighty eight to
seventy four. NHL wins for Winnipeg and Florida. The San
Francisco Giants are signing shortstop Willie Adamas to a reported
seven year deal, and the La Galaxy won the MLS
Cup Final.

Speaker 2 (01:07:48):
Back to you thanks Steve Martin and VJ. Coming to
you off Andy Tire Rack dot Com Studios that was
today the MLS Cup final. Oh cool, okay, I didn't
know I watched that league. Wait a minute, Hold on
a second, you mean to tell me, shut up? You
mean to tell me that there was a final, a

(01:08:13):
championship in soccer, and yeah, we didn't have to stop
the presses for it. We'd have to derail the entire
show just because it was on TV's I missed it.

Speaker 3 (01:08:24):
I'm mad at that. I know that I didn't know
that was to day. You know, I at least like
to watch the championships of everything.

Speaker 2 (01:08:29):
But did you even know that they were in the playoffs?
Because it's like the surprise in your voice is not,
oh damn, I missed the final between the Dynamo and
the whoever. It's oh wait, every playing soccer right now,
that's what you just said. I didn't know, So the
next time I gotta sit up here. Yeah, and I

(01:08:51):
know that everybody listening, it's like, what the hell's happening?
What you don't know was the last three years of
my life where every single freaking time there's been some
level of soccer tournament, I've had to waist twenty minutes
of oxygen explaining why no one will care about soccer.
What's this is over?

Speaker 7 (01:09:08):
Well?

Speaker 2 (01:09:09):
MLS is different? Clip this, no, I would. I wish
there was a way to clip on Medica. I know
the way to clip this and just play this thirty
seconds every time. It's a COPA America zero final, mad Poppy,
No one gives it. Damn you love it? You know
you love it. Congratulations to whoever won the MLS. Fine,

(01:09:33):
who was it? I don't freaking know? Was it the Dynamo?
I do that. That's a team though, right that is? Yeah? Yeah,
Houston was twenty years ago. Wow, that's what the last
time I spend to Major League shock? All right, championship?
Congratulations whoever wanted to that? Guy's correct? Whoever won LA Galaxy?
I think, oh the whole team? Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 4 (01:09:54):
A Galaxy is one.

Speaker 2 (01:09:56):
That's right. Because I knew that was gonna be good. No,
I just look, turn his microphone off, all right, because
I knew they were gonna be good. Get out. I
can't believe a soccer A soccer game went by and
Martin lev they didn't get disrupted. You started this. I

(01:10:16):
just said, I want you to to bathe in this
because they'll be it'll be week seven and they'll be
real football on and I got to hear about how
Germany might beat France and Copa America Part two. Who
don't care.

Speaker 3 (01:10:31):
Chelsea's on a run right now though, you way, this
is really good them. It's time you gotta see that stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:10:37):
Oh man. Anyway, we said this at the time. I
said at the time it made no sense in the
world why the Atlanta Falcons would both sign Kirk Cousins
and draft Michael Pennix either one, like one of them
didn't make sense. It's like, if you want to lose weight,
you don't go to the buffet.

Speaker 3 (01:10:56):
No.

Speaker 2 (01:10:56):
No, either you don't want to lose weight, or you know,
you don't go to go to corral. It's not vibing,
all right, Kirk Cousins, last three games, j cover your eyes,
close your ears. Six and oh, I'm sorry I said
that backwards. Oh and six touchdown the interception ratio through
four last week? When's your time to give the immortal

(01:11:18):
do rag at shaft? Wow? I like that, the immortal
do Rag.

Speaker 3 (01:11:22):
You need to put that on the T shirt tag
that and people right now and listen, like I have
no idea what he's talking about.

Speaker 2 (01:11:28):
How to tell you what I know you're talking about.
We all know because we were here, We've been in
three years together. You show me a picture of Michael
Pennis with the dow rag off and I'll say, I'm
not sure to him, Yeah, that's all right, that's a clone.
Never seen him wear that's a clone man. Was probably
wearing a dou rag on Draft night. That's a clone man.
So yeah, ah man, that's hard. It's hard. So you
gotta think about like this, all right, So the sind
six and sixth. The division is horrible, they could still

(01:11:50):
win this division. You can't go to the backup with
the division.

Speaker 3 (01:11:55):
You can't go to the backup without the division still
being on, with the division still being online. So I
just think you gotta stick with him now. Also too,
tomorrow huge game. Cousin goes home are Well, one of
his homes but where he probably made hisself at the
we talked about it. Goes to the Vikers tomorrow at
Minnesota tomorrow. Then they're at the Raiders win hom against
the GMN win at the Commander's. Oh, another home visit

(01:12:20):
for him, and then finished up with the Panthers' divisional game.

Speaker 2 (01:12:23):
You can't go you can't.

Speaker 3 (01:12:25):
Go to the immortal do rag because you still you
still can win the division. You go to this rookie
and you lose the division and you don't make the playoffs.
It's gonna point back to the decision to bench your
quarterback because he had a bad two game stretch, because
other people on this team that's, you know, screwing up
to us, not just him.

Speaker 2 (01:12:42):
Last week was him, man, I watched the whole game.
Last week was him. That was bad. Counterpoint, you have
to bench him because you can't lose the division. You're
right there, Kirk Cussins hasn't thrown an interception since Halloween.
I'm throw a touchdown. It feels like since Halloween. But
either way, that's your or. We'll get to that at
the top for the hour when we do our NFL picks.
Right now, we'll come up. Coming up next, we will

(01:13:04):
play a little game of who you got. Ce vj
Ian was feeling a little self conscious. He didn't want
to say who. It was like as we're doing a
little pre show prep, you know, He's like, I don't
want to tell you guys, I want to make I
don't want you thinking about it all fast.

Speaker 3 (01:13:17):
Oh, you don't even want to tell us the team
I can get, so we don't even know the team.

Speaker 2 (01:13:21):
He's got to tell us. I'm gonna tell you right now.

Speaker 4 (01:13:23):
I'm gonna tell you right now. I just didn't put
it on the rundown.

Speaker 2 (01:13:25):
Okay, all right? With us and America finding out at
the same time, and Benny and Australia, all of us
finding out at the same time, who with the team for?
Who you got? Who's what's the game?

Speaker 4 (01:13:37):
The team or the game? It's Panthers versus Eagles themed Panthers,
so it'll be someone involved with first Eagles.

Speaker 2 (01:13:47):
We'll see if Jalen Hurts is the right answer. Coming
up next, Martin Wis, VJ Husky, Fox Sports Football Saturday,
Martin and VJ coming to Your Life and he Tirereck
dot Com Studios. Hit us up with your two sensor
If you'd like to play along on Twitter or x
I'm at Martin Wise, VJ at The Big Vanilla Funny,
and I'm also on Blue Sky at Martin Wise one.

(01:14:09):
Should you like to play along with our little game
of Who you Got? Panthers Versus Eagles edition? Let's do it?

Speaker 4 (01:14:16):
Okay, who you Got? We are back, so updating.

Speaker 2 (01:14:19):
Just we're so back, we're so bad.

Speaker 4 (01:14:22):
A rule refresher here for the listeners.

Speaker 2 (01:14:24):
So I than your voice.

Speaker 4 (01:14:27):
Ye see, we'll see, we'll see. I'm not sure, all right,
Just a rule refresher here for the listeners. I'm thinking
of someone, whether it be a player, an executive, a coach,
just someone who has something to do with either the
Carolina Panthers or the Philadelphia Eagles, because they're playing this week.
Let's get let's get started. First clue, this guy was
a fourth round draft pick of one of these two teams.

Speaker 2 (01:14:48):
Fourth round pick Julius Peppers incorrect, Kenneth Gainwell incorrect.

Speaker 4 (01:14:56):
I like both guesses though. See next clue. He grew
up in Canada and played Canadian football all the way
through high school.

Speaker 2 (01:15:04):
Oh oh, this guy, he's for of Eagles. I just
got I just can't think of his name. Damn. Maybe
I get it with other clues, but this is for
the Eagles. I think I know he's talking about.

Speaker 4 (01:15:13):
Zach Bond incorrect, Brett Hart incorrect. That's clue. He led
all of college heart He led all of college football
in rushing yards in twenty nineteen. Chuba Hubbard correct it's
Chuba Hubbard.

Speaker 2 (01:15:30):
Yeah, good, there you go. Martin told you.

Speaker 3 (01:15:33):
Way too fast, you guys, Yeah, get back, No play
the music. Don't talk well, Jake, thank you don't talk.

Speaker 2 (01:15:40):
When the hell did Chuba Hubbard play Canadian football? No,
he's just saying it's from Canada.

Speaker 4 (01:15:45):
He played Canadian football through high school.

Speaker 2 (01:15:47):
Oh see, Okay, that might be a user error on
my part. I maybe I didn't hear the through high
school part, but I was thinking this guy played to
see it matter and I just threw out a day. No.

Speaker 4 (01:15:57):
I just mean, like, until he got to college at
Oaklea home of State, he had only ever played Canadian football.

Speaker 2 (01:16:02):
Speaking of Oklahoma State, Mike Gundy back after going oh
and nine, I don't want to hear it.

Speaker 3 (01:16:08):
I keep telling you guys, listen, I don't care if
you're if you're satisfied even with you know, nine win,
ten wins. Okay, but it's been twenty something years.

Speaker 2 (01:16:17):
Man.

Speaker 3 (01:16:17):
It's just sooner or later is Bobby bouting need and
at least he won national championships. Sooner or later, you
gonna have to fire the guy. He's not gonna go away,
but there needs to be a new voice, a new
culture new Maybe the ten season wins with a twelve
team playoff? Now maybe now maybe you count. They've never
counted for a national championship in my lifetime. They've never
been close.

Speaker 2 (01:16:37):
You can qualify now though you can. You can get
a ticket to the dance, as they.

Speaker 3 (01:16:42):
Said, that's right, you can now, So why not make
a change to see if something different can happen there?

Speaker 2 (01:16:47):
I just it doesn't surprise me. He's back, but out
of fire him two or three years ago. Man, it's
been too long. Okay, we both I don't mean to
step on you, but you're not picking? Are you picking
the Panthers and your atomic dogs? I don't know yet.
Well we've seen I'll phrase it hard to speak, I'll
phrase it like this, A question that we would have

(01:17:08):
not thought would have been asked at the start of
the year. Which quarterback do you expect to play better?
Bryce Young or Jalen Hurts in Sunday's game? Why he's
been to me honestly, as a guy who thought this
was flat bust, not happening, not going to see it.
I still am not all the way like Bryce Young

(01:17:30):
should have been the number one overall pick. He's still
not on on DJ's like, my opinion of it.

Speaker 4 (01:17:35):
Is Stroud's been struggling, right, so yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:17:37):
But still I'm still not going there. But I'm with you, Mart,
But Bryce Young to me, honestly, showing that he is
at least an NFL caliber player right now is a major,
major win. And that sounds like an insult. But I'm
not trying to make it an insult because that scenario
in California and Carolina is a disaster, even with new

(01:17:59):
coach Canal, is still a disaster. It may be cleaned
up after a certain point in time, but disaster. Nonetheless,
He's had like four different voices in his ear as
a quarterback in the NFL. He's played less than twenty games, right,
or less than twenty five games. My points are, what
I tell you guys is about to happen to Caleb Williams.
But he's shown to me in the last couple of

(01:18:20):
games here there there's a lot, there's there's a lot
more to work with than meets the eye. And I
think that when he had gotten bench, that was not
the prevailing national sentiment.

Speaker 3 (01:18:31):
No it wasn't, and then national said that wasn't the
national centem Today he was drafted.

Speaker 2 (01:18:34):
I just look, I always believed that they drafted people
were still hot.

Speaker 3 (01:18:38):
I believe, I believe he should have been in the
one overall pick. I believe he's gonna be fine. But
you gotta have weapons, you gotta have competency around you.
That's at the quarterback position. Listen, ad it can go
out and just go get sacks and do him on
a terrible team. We see two guys that do it
right now, that wreck games. MaTx Crosby and Miles Garrett
wreck games. Their teams are horrible. Show me the horrible

(01:18:59):
team where the quarterbacks playing great.

Speaker 2 (01:19:00):
Just show it to me. It doesn't work that way.

Speaker 3 (01:19:02):
If the team is horrible, the quarterback can't play great
because the team is horrible.

Speaker 2 (01:19:06):
He doesn't have enough around him. Cincinnati would like a work.
The team's not horrible. That's a great offense. That team
is bad. That's a great offense though that team that's
that team not bad.

Speaker 3 (01:19:16):
No, I think the defense is bad, and I think
the coach needs to be fired. Well, their record says bad.
But yeah, yeah, I get what you're saying. But he
got Jamar Chase, I mean, right, a b wise guy.

Speaker 2 (01:19:26):
Adam Thielen for me like when I'm looking when I'm
looking at young quarterbacks, I'm taking the win loss out
of it and I'm just looking at are you passing
my eye test? Are you doing things in the eye
test situation that makes it say oh okay. In a
different situation, he'd be good. Caleb does that. Bryce Young
has started to do that. Now, coming up next, we
will do NFL picks plus the Atomic Dogs. Oh sports

(01:19:51):
radio radio, that's right, and we're broadcasting lie from the
tire rack dot com, so you know tire i rack
dot com. We'll help you get there. Then unmacked election,
fast free shipping frearid has a protection and over ten
thousand recommend that this dollars tire iraq dot com. It's
the way that tire buying should be. We will have JD.

(01:20:12):
Pakel on three CF beat Football Insider, the Don Juan
of college football. He will be all over this as
we figure out who is playing who in the college
football Playoff. We will down dive into that as well
in about fifteen minutes. But now let's stay in the
NFL and get to some NFL picks and starting out

(01:20:34):
with the Atomic Dogs. That's right, we do it every
week ten o'clock Eastern. We go ahead and try to
tell you which underdog will win outright? Who is cashing
out big time this week? And before VJ explains to
everybody why the Carolina Panthers are gonna beat the Philadelphia
Eagles at thirteen and a half point underdogs. I do
you have the results from last week?

Speaker 4 (01:20:54):
I do?

Speaker 2 (01:20:55):
Martin?

Speaker 4 (01:20:55):
You went one and two, VJ, you went two and one,
So a winning week for the Big Vanilla.

Speaker 2 (01:20:59):
Again remember this all shore winning mon for Barton depending
on which one of the other underdogs won. Because Dee, no, seriously,
all these are a plus money, are they not?

Speaker 3 (01:21:09):
Yes, they all are plus money. But that's not what
we're doing here. Hey, that's for your pockets. That's something
different with the Martin and VJ show My pockets matter?
Who pi Yo, your pockets matter?

Speaker 2 (01:21:19):
Not here? They don't. All Right, Well, why don't you
go ahead, VJA and tell me who the first atomic
dog is. I'm a ride with a squad that's been
holding me down lately, going to get the team you've
been in love with. That thing they go and shut
them out, They gonna make them miss the playoffs. Give
me the Seattle Seahawks and Gino Smith. I told you
guys they would go into MetLife and handling them bum
ass Jets.

Speaker 3 (01:21:38):
I was a little nervous in that game too, because
they weren't moving to football, they weren't scored, they weren't
doing nothing.

Speaker 2 (01:21:42):
The Jets were up two.

Speaker 3 (01:21:43):
Touchdowns and then everything starts to enroll them. Bum ass
just do what the bum ass Jets do and they
fumble that game away. Give me the Seahawks in a
division game two and a half point underdogs.

Speaker 2 (01:21:55):
Go under on this forty four and a half.

Speaker 3 (01:21:58):
It would be a defensive game once he's only scoring
over twenty points. Tomorrow, give me the Seahawks to go
end the zone up and take out Mimi Martin's boy.
Arizona Cardinals at a plus two and a half ferret
for my first.

Speaker 2 (01:22:11):
Dog, Wolf. Just on the record, I'm on the other
side of that. I know we won't pick it because
we're doing it because he did it as a dog.
I am on the other side of that. But I'll
say this, Arizona, if you're gonna do it, it's gotta
be now, it's gotta be tomorrow. I my first underdog.
I am going with the Bears on the buddy line
against the San Francisco forty nine Ers. This forty nine

(01:22:33):
Ers team is getting a level of respect that only
comes with the name in front of the jersey. The
back's not the same, Trent Williams is not gonna play tomorrow,
Jordan Mason gone, Christian McCaffrey gone, and it's just there's
been a lot of bad vibes going around San Francisco
right now. One of the lead stories on Pro Football
Talk should they fire Kyle Shanahan. Here's the short answer, No, No,

(01:22:57):
just trade him. But the Bears went tomorrow Bears torow.
I don't know about that one. I got four of them.

Speaker 3 (01:23:02):
I'm gonna get three another one. Got to really do
love man. This team hasn't had their quarterback. He got
blasted and knocked out of a game by chief side
artist last week.

Speaker 2 (01:23:09):
He has suspended a couple of weeks. He's got a
half deep fine to play.

Speaker 3 (01:23:13):
Give me the Jags on the road another division game tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (01:23:17):
Hey, I ain't gonna ron.

Speaker 3 (01:23:18):
Matt Jones came in and almost brought them back and
won that football game.

Speaker 2 (01:23:22):
If I'm the Jacks shut down Trevor Lawns for the
rest of the year. It's a last year. He's knocked
out down with a concussion.

Speaker 3 (01:23:27):
Don't fool around with your fifty five million dollars quarterback
sitting him down. Let Max just run the rest of
this tomorrow. It starts tomorrow with a tough, close game.
They're plus three and a half on the road to
over under his forty and a half. Take the over
ladies and gentlemen, and take the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road,
and it quiet down some of that fired Doug Peterson's stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:23:46):
They going to road, win a division game and row
for my second dog. My second dog is the Los
Angeles Rams beating the Buffalo Bills within the top the
NFL talk all this we did it earlier to day.
Is Josh Allen gonna be the MVP. No, because they're
about to lose the next two games in a row.
That's a bonus Lions over Bills next week. But Ram

(01:24:08):
over Bills right here. Rams offense has been cooking chef's
kiss since your boy Pookaakua and Cooper Cupp have been
back in the lineup. Matthew Stafford takes way too many hits, but.

Speaker 3 (01:24:20):
I think the Rams able to get it done here,
so prosse pick right there. I will be there covering
the game tomorrow, so I'll be front and center.

Speaker 2 (01:24:26):
If you should ask Matthew Stafford, how did it feel
to know that Martin Wise's picture to win on Saturday Night?
I got you, But they're gonna look at me and go,
who's Martin Wisse?

Speaker 1 (01:24:35):
Say?

Speaker 3 (01:24:35):
Just repeat it again? Yeah, yeah, mar Martin White, you
know my partner on the show. Anyway, h I'm trying
to flip a coin between these two. I've seen that
the Chargers and the Chiefs of the Bagels and the Cowboys.
But what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna do what
I always doing. I'm gonna stick by my man, Jimmy
Berger's the Los Angeles Chargers. Tomorrow take a defense and

(01:24:56):
somebody of a third rank is going to show up,
and Justin Herbert, he's so cerebral now, guys, I see
him up close to personal. This man is completely different
than when he first came in the league. Hardballs got
him in a.

Speaker 2 (01:25:07):
Very cerebral mode. Moves like Robocopper.

Speaker 3 (01:25:10):
Round the locker room in the building over there, very
locked in he knows how big this game is.

Speaker 2 (01:25:14):
They know how big this game is. They going the
road and get a big one last week they carry
it over Chiefs. We all been saying that they've been
flying close to the sun. This is a very close game.
This is coming down to the last possession, and this
is the time my Homes doesn't get it done.

Speaker 3 (01:25:28):
The fourteen straight one possession, one score games in a
row that they won consecutively, that ends tomorrow. Give me
the home LA Chargers plus four and arrowhead in Kansas City,
Andy Reid, my man Jimmy Burgers gets it done for
my third and final doll hurt.

Speaker 2 (01:25:45):
I also am on the opposite side of that one.
I'm not gonna pick it, but I think the Chiefs win,
and Chiefs win kind of significantly after the what significantly?
Give mean a ney point? You know me? I need points?
Brough nine, okay, by nine? All right? Two?

Speaker 3 (01:25:59):
Leader, all right, all right, plug your close your eyes,
cover your ears, plug.

Speaker 2 (01:26:05):
Your nose, buckley your seafelts. Oh god, this is this
is sticky. It's nasty, you know it. The Carolina Panthers,
I'll set the build off. The Eagles. Brian Hey, Brian Young,
has been hooping. The Eagles have been way too high.
This is this look you want a lot of football reasons,
that's somebody's gonna happen. I don't have Panthers worst run

(01:26:28):
defense in the NFL, Eagles best run offense in the NFL.
It's just the Eagles have been flying too high too much.
It's every no one in the NFL tinues to win.
And I'm not even saying it's gonna be a grand
significant downfall to the basement of the NFL. It's just like, like,
are the Bills really gonna lock up the division on

(01:26:50):
December seventh? Like? Is that where we're at? Like, I mean,
are the Eagles really gonna Are the Eagles really you
have to lock themselves into where they are in the
playoffs tomorrow. We haven't even opened Christmas presents yet. Give
me the Panthers. And one that is strictly make no
mistake America, coming straight from the gut.

Speaker 3 (01:27:09):
Martin's going one to two and again, guys, but again
you go one and two, Martin's going on again. If
you go one and two at plus money.

Speaker 2 (01:27:20):
You're still still making money.

Speaker 3 (01:27:21):
Man, A right, Honoble Mitchells, just right give me the
Cowboys to mom over over the bankers at home.

Speaker 2 (01:27:26):
Get me aboy, give me Cowboys Panthers win. I can
go freaking oh to four the next week. I'll still
come out on top if you hit this one. All right,
let's update the picks. So coming out of week thirteen
VJ you went three and two.

Speaker 4 (01:27:39):
Yeah, you got good, pretty good. Plus you went five
and oh there you go. Now you know what you
know what that means. It's tied it up, tied it
up both thirty eight and twenty five on the season.
Headed into week fourteen.

Speaker 2 (01:27:52):
Finally that case, what's the what's the what's the record?

Speaker 4 (01:27:56):
Thirty eight and twenty five five? Yeah, let's win that.
Let's jump into week fourth quarter.

Speaker 2 (01:28:03):
Mama, Kobe Tom now baby, let's go.

Speaker 4 (01:28:05):
All right. We'll start with the Dolphins facing off against
the Jets. The Dolphins are favored by six points. What
do we think?

Speaker 2 (01:28:13):
What I think? Go first?

Speaker 3 (01:28:14):
Yeah, you already know I'm going first. I'm taking this
one first plus six? Man, are you kidding me?

Speaker 2 (01:28:19):
I've told you all the last two weeks unless their
last two wins, now last wee weis they lost last week,
their last two wins, they were covering both those games,
and they covered them. We beating them. Bum ass Jets.
The bum ass Jets years done.

Speaker 3 (01:28:30):
The bum ass Jets need a new quarterback, new head, coach,
new on, they need new every damn thing.

Speaker 7 (01:28:34):
Bro.

Speaker 3 (01:28:35):
It's like one of them extreme home makeover type shows.
You gotta go in and gut that damn thing. Miami
back home.

Speaker 2 (01:28:40):
Also to remember, play days given night, ten days to
prepare for this, rested, not happier about the way they
played in the cold.

Speaker 3 (01:28:46):
Up in Green Bay. They show up a show out tomorrow.
They blow the doors off the Jets tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (01:28:52):
Now, normally, when I'm in a situation like this, are
evaluating a situation like this, I should say I look
at a team like the Jets, who have had nothing
but turmoil and dysfunction from day one of last season. Really,
then you got guys that they're trying to put out
good tape, trying to make new teams, trying to figure
out how the hell do I get out of here
and through a winning scenario. Breese Hall al Sauce Gardner out.

(01:29:14):
I can't do it, dude. See they give me the
Dolphins and the six in a game in which like
it should be that. But last week I felt like
the Jets were the Remember I was saying that this
is a funny line. Yeah, this is a funny line.
Why are the Jets favored like this? And they had
it and through the first half, I was like, here
it is, yeah and sure enough, no, no, I'm taking
the Miami Dolphins here, all right?

Speaker 4 (01:29:36):
Next up, moving over to Minnesota. All right, so the
Atlanta Falcons are facing off against the Minnesota Vikings. The
Vikings are favored by six points as the home team.
What do we think I'm gonna go to Falcons here
to cover? This game is gonna be close.

Speaker 3 (01:29:51):
I think Kirk Cousins is gonna want to come out
and prove that last week was what it was. Okay,
it was a Kirk Cousins bad day, but he seems
to bounce back from these games. I know he's had
a couple of bad but tomorrow, man, he's going back home.
Let's call it what it is about the Vikings, guys.
The Vikings have kind of been winning some of these
teams games, even against bad teams. Real close, last second,
but last minute possession. Martin almost now to pick last

(01:30:13):
week with the with the Cardinals, beating them, but they
they they're winning these games and the skin of their teeth.
Atlanta's got a great defense and a good running game.
They'll take on a road with tomorrow. Give me the
Falcons to cover this right here, man, this is easy
for me.

Speaker 2 (01:30:26):
I'm taking the Falcons too, and I was. You know,
if Kirk Cousins had thrown two interceptions last game, I
would have picked him to win this game out right.
But I just can't sit back there and watch a
guy who was in college at the same time as
me be playing quarterback in the NFL, knowing I invested
in that, right, So I'm gonna go ahead and take
the six points here with the Falcons. I sort of

(01:30:50):
agree with Vj's Vikings assessment. While last week was a
rough game, I do think that Flor's' defense is playing well,
but this offense has not been cooking in this at
all that we've all early in the year. So give
me the Falcons here, all right?

Speaker 4 (01:31:03):
Ten am Pacific time, The Raiders are going to Tampa
Bay to face the Buccaneers. Both teams are kind of
struggling right now. Tampa Bay is favored by six and
a half points, though, what do we think.

Speaker 3 (01:31:13):
I'm taking Vegas here, and that's because they fought last
week like they fought. They fought Black Friday and once
again nine days of prepare for this game, so they
had an extra few days of rest.

Speaker 2 (01:31:24):
The Bucks are up and down. Even Baker makes.

Speaker 3 (01:31:26):
Some plays, but Bake like last last week, Gods, Carolina
has them. Carolina's got that damn Game one and Baker
makes a scramble, makes a play, right, and then they
beat him in the overtime. And Carolina's a team. You
can see what b y on the up trend. I
think they get home, they get comfortable. You get the
Raiders coming in.

Speaker 2 (01:31:41):
They're on.

Speaker 3 (01:31:42):
Coach called them the worst team in the league. They
just lost on Black Friday, but they got that extra day.
It's an early start, right, West Coast team going out
east with their early start. But last week both those
teams won those games we talked about the last week
on the show.

Speaker 2 (01:31:53):
Both those West Coast teams went out there win those games.
I'm taking the Raiders here, you know what, damn it,
give me the Raiders to win the game. Yeah, I
don't know what's happening here, because when I tell you that,
be and VJ. Do not talk prior to the show it.
Trust me, we don't imagine that we did, because I'm
right here with you. The Raiders were a bot snap
away from beating the best team in the AFC. Tampa

(01:32:14):
has been injured. Baker Mayfield against the spread hits less
than forty percent as a favorite. I will take in
a game in which you know that was perfect with
the music they're setting up, that's low key why I
wanted her to change his perfect Plus, let's always do
NFL films music for this.

Speaker 7 (01:32:32):
I like this.

Speaker 2 (01:32:32):
Better give me the Raiders plus six and a half.
This is nasty and this is disgusting. Do we agree
on every game so far? So far we have. We
have to keep going until we don't, at least don't
want somebody's gotta win the week, keep going.

Speaker 4 (01:32:44):
Well, let's see how this one goes. The Monday night game,
we got the Bengals facing off against the Cowboys. Since
he's favored by five and a half points, what do
we think we're both taking?

Speaker 2 (01:32:53):
Both taking?

Speaker 3 (01:32:53):
The Cowboys are gonna win his game? Bro, The Cowboys
are gonna win his game. Remember they play days given
ten days, team's coming off with Thanksgiving. Man, that ten
day break, they got a lot of rest there. If
you're the Bengals, you honestly gotta really be looking around, like,
what the hell?

Speaker 2 (01:33:05):
Look what happened last week? Forty something points?

Speaker 3 (01:33:08):
Russell Wilson looked like really great last week against them.
It's bad there And at some point he's pros they
foe looking at them bum as jets. How many guys
out tomorrow? I mean, guys are your name?

Speaker 2 (01:33:18):
And yeah? What have I always said? When you get
to this point of year, you're three and nine and
three in ten, that hamstring hurts a little more, that
calf hurts a little more. It's gonna be the same
thing with the Bengals soon here. Man, Hey, if Dallas
is still fighting for a lot, like they're not going
to make the playoffs. But if I'm the Dallas Cowboys,
I'm going into the locker room like, man, we have
a chance. We made, we still have a chance. Like
they're right Like as disastrous as a season as this

(01:33:39):
has been, they're right there. And here's the deal. It
seems to me you got Dak talking about how much
he likes McCarthy. My Caparsons said earlier today he loves McCarthy,
wants McCarty to day.

Speaker 3 (01:33:49):
McCarthy's won a Super Bowl. They're playing for their coach.
He's not going anywhere. I keep telling people that they're
not firing. They're not firing McCarthy.

Speaker 2 (01:33:56):
Conversely, I think that if Zach Taylor was fired tomorrow,
Jamar Chase would not send him like a man. Thanks
for the memories. Give me the cowboys here, give me another,
all right?

Speaker 4 (01:34:04):
Tomorrow afternoon, Chicago Bears are going to Clara.

Speaker 2 (01:34:08):
Do you pick the forty nine Ers?

Speaker 5 (01:34:09):
Cover?

Speaker 2 (01:34:09):
There we go? All right, there, there we go. There's
a difference maker. Yeah, I'll take the Niners. I'll take
the nine.

Speaker 4 (01:34:16):
Niners are three and a half point favorite.

Speaker 3 (01:34:18):
Yeah, nine is cover, all right? Yeah and a half
Niners cover. Bears make it interested in the first half.
I think you look, oh it Bears up ten through something.
I think the Niners that was that they couldn't. They
weren't gonna win that game in Buffalo last week. Guys,
all right, so you're divided on this one.

Speaker 2 (01:34:31):
VJ.

Speaker 4 (01:34:31):
You like the Niners, Martin, you like the Bears. Yes,
all right, so the others are tied. So the only
the only difference we can have. You guys are tied
overall right now. The biggest gap we can have next
week is a one point leader.

Speaker 2 (01:34:40):
Let's make it too. Let's pick the Saintan and Giants
real fast, let's go go for it.

Speaker 4 (01:34:43):
Oh this is gross Saints and Giants.

Speaker 3 (01:34:46):
Oh you first, you go, come on. The line is
five and a half point got five and a half
over forty and a half.

Speaker 2 (01:34:50):
Got it. I'm gonna go with Drew Locke, put on
for his city, do his little dance, cause, uh, there's
the problem. The Saints were leaning on thirty four year
old Taysom Hill to be their entire offense. He's on ir.
It's over in New Orleans. It was fun though, Rizzie.
We'll remember you always.

Speaker 3 (01:35:08):
I'm going with the Saints here. Give me the Saints
to go on the roll and pull and pull this off.
They're they're definitely I don't think. Yeah, give me Saints
going to roll and cover this and Winness, they'll cover it.
They'll win, They'll win by touchdown. They still have enough
offensive guys, offensive weapons. Listen, Drew lock Okay, that's all
I have to say. Guys, all right, the Vitos out
Drew Lock. I counter you, Derek Carr, and I'll take

(01:35:30):
D car.

Speaker 2 (01:35:31):
I know, I know you don't like them. I'll take
D car. All that, honestly the only thing that redeeming.
Maybe hopefully the car would be locked and neither one
of us can get in and Zy. Look look, Rizzie's
doing it. There's been holding me down. There's been holding
me down on my underdogs. I'm staying with him. Give
me Saints, all right. Coming up next, we'll dive back
into the college football championship weekend. JD. Pakel coming at
the bottom of the hour. Look these games at halftime,

(01:35:54):
we thought it was a blowout. No one of these
is under contention, even though Martin White's VJ Husky Fox
Sports Football Saturday. Martin and VJA coming to your life
from the tirerack dot Com studios. Tirerack dot Com will
help you get there unmatched election, fast, free shipping, and
over ten thousand recommended installers. You said, this is how

(01:36:16):
lethal weapon is, how leath the weapon starts Christmas movie
or no, yeah, the weapon absolutely, it's Christmas movie. Absolutely.
I just I think that is one of the things
that gets gate kept the most. That's unnecessary. All the
Christmas movie needs to be done.

Speaker 3 (01:36:30):
Is set at Christmas, absolutely, periods time, absolutely, Batman Returns
Christmas movie. Look at that Diehard Christmas movie, Lethal Weapon
Christmas movie.

Speaker 2 (01:36:40):
Look at that solving problem. That's what we do here.
How is Batman Returns not a Christmas movie? The first
line in the movie, the first time someone speaks in
the movie, they say Merry Christmas.

Speaker 3 (01:36:51):
The last line in the movie is Merry Christmas. How
is it not a Christmas movie? Before you answer, Mary Mack,
I'll just ask you this. It's Friday After the Next
to Christmas movie. Uh yeah, all right, right the point.

Speaker 4 (01:37:04):
But look, but no, no, no, Santa Claus is in
a movie.

Speaker 2 (01:37:10):
And that's what you call Santa. Ricky Smiley is a crackhead.
But look it's still you know, it got the Christmas
lights and everything that I would consider that Christmas.

Speaker 9 (01:37:20):
Movie it is, But it is a Christmas movie hard.
If Batman Returns, stop it, stop and stop it. If
Friday After Next is a Christmas movie, thank you. Then
all the other ones fall in the same category. Planes,
trains and automobiles, Christmas movie, Dutch Christmas movie.

Speaker 3 (01:37:38):
It was crank Plane Hill with that they Thanksgiving, bad Thanksgiving.
That's giving John Candy, Uh and uh and uh Thanksgiving
all right, my bad.

Speaker 2 (01:37:48):
I one did once did a like an anti Thanksgiving
rent And that's why I was. I knew that because
there's only one one movie ever made about Thanksgiving. That's true.
Everything else is Christmas. That's true. Everything else is Christmas.
And also at O'Neill aka Al Bundy, Dutch Christmas movie
has to go pick up the spoiled step kid and
drive him across country back to his mom and stuff
and as they bond, Christmas will have JD. Pkel college

(01:38:12):
football onsider insider insider for on three. There you go,
he's a college football insider four on three r is
he a college football outsider for in three? The world
may never know?

Speaker 3 (01:38:26):
It is water wet? Or does things get wet and water?
You can catch your stuff on YouTube. It's the hard count.

Speaker 2 (01:38:34):
Search for that VJA where we sit here and Steve
Desaga will have all the details in just the moment. Uh,
Oregon has fucked back into this game in a way
I find impressive. That's what I'm zach. I got your
cover man, we parted, I got Penn State has climb
back in this game. Because Oregon was wop wop wop.

Speaker 3 (01:38:51):
Yeah, they word this is Oregon was flexing. And not
only that, Clemson smuse. These games are tightening up.

Speaker 2 (01:38:58):
But what you're seeing is you're seeing teams. Listen, the
game's not over.

Speaker 3 (01:39:01):
That's why there's two has, there's four quarters, goys, a
lot of football to be played. Thirty one to twenty
four Oregon right now ten minutes and some change in
the third quarter in Penn State and moving the ball again.
But Oregon started. You can this is why you can't
make mistakes and games when you're up big. Oregon has
a pick six, they turn the ball, they have two
quick back to back three and outs, and Penn State

(01:39:22):
kind of wakes up out of the quarterback kind of
wakes up and you go get a score. Momentimum football
is huge, and right now Penn State is running hurry
up in no huddle offense. They feel like they found
something right now because they are just running the tight
end down the scene as he just dropped the ball.
But they also scored on that play in another big play.
They found something, so they want to kind of keep
their foot on the throat. So props to Penn State.

(01:39:43):
This is now a football game, Martin.

Speaker 2 (01:39:45):
Let's go ahead and kick it over to Steve de
Seger for all the details on this football game and
all the rest of the football games going on right now. Steve.

Speaker 6 (01:39:52):
Number one, Oregon is twelve and zero and yeah, they
were winning handily in the first half of the Big
Ten championship game in Indian Apple List tonight. It was
twenty one ten thanks to three touchdown passes from Dylan
Gabriel got up to twenty eight ten over Penn State
early in the second quarter. It is now thirty one
twenty four about ten minutes left third quarter, Penn State

(01:40:12):
only down a touchdown and Penn State with the ball. Meanwhile,
at halftime, AH ranked SMU was trailing Clemson in the
ACC championship game twenty four to seven, and folks at
halftime shows were starting to say, maybe they won't be
in the top twelve after all. After tonight, they've started
the second half with a great drive touchdown Clemson's lead
twenty four to fourteen against SMU about ten minutes to

(01:40:35):
go in the third quarter. Cade Klubnick with three touchdown
passes for the Clemson Tigers in the first quarter. Also,
we've got the Sun Belt Championship game with Marshall early
fourth quarter leading twenty four to three at Louisiana, Ohio.
U won the MATC Conference thirty eight three over Miami, Ohio,
and reportedly Ohio coach Tim Alban is leaving for Charlotte.

(01:40:56):
Arizona State won the Big twelve forty five nineteen over
Iowa State, and the SEC title game went overtime in Atlanta,
Georgia beat number two Texas twenty two to nineteen.

Speaker 2 (01:41:08):
Update.

Speaker 6 (01:41:08):
Penn State has just missed a field goal attempt, still
down thirty one twenty four against number one ranked Oregon.
The final playoff bracket will be announce Sunday along with
the Bowl matchups. UCF is hiring Scott Frost as head coach.
Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy agreed to stay on a
reduced contract. Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker is out
tomorrow due to ankle and calf injuries. Eagles tight end

(01:41:32):
Dallas Goddard was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury.
Jets running back Breece Hall is officially out Sunday at
Miami with a knee injury. The Jets activated wide receiver
Alan Wizard. Forty nine Ers defensive end Nick Bosa is
out the problem an oblique injury. Forty nine Ers tackled
Trent Williams will be out again with an ankle injury
as San Francisco host Chicago Bengals. Tackle Orlando Brown is

(01:41:54):
out Monday night at Dallas with a fibula injury, and
for Dallas, guard Zach Martin out Monday with ankle and
shoulder injuries. The San Francisco Giants are signing shortstop Willie Adamas,
reportedly seven years, one hundred and eighty two million dollars.
The Orioles agreed to a deal with outfielder Tyler O'Neill,
and Baltimore has signed catcher Gary Sanchez. The LA Galaxy

(01:42:16):
won the MLS Cup Final and in the NBA. Cleveland
is now twenty one and three after winning at Charlotte
today one sixteen, one oh two. Evan Mobley forty one points,
denver Is Nicola Jokic with fifty six points tonight, but
the rest of his team only had fifty seven combined
and they lost at Washington won twenty two, one thirteen.
This is a Washington Wizard's team. That had been two

(01:42:38):
and eighteen this year, losers of sixteen straight, but they
got to win tonight. Jordan Poole with thirty nine points
victories for Detroit and Oklahoma City. Dallas won at seventh straight.
And right now, Miami, excuse me, Memphis has just won
at Boston one twenty seven one twenty one.

Speaker 2 (01:42:55):
Back to you. Big win from Memphis at Boston. Nice,
that was a big win win. Let's go ahead and
kick it now over to our next Guestnela Ice. Let's
go that's right. You know that sound is on three
College Football Insider, the Bischit, Magic wand Donald College Football
JD Pakel. You get them on Twitter and at JD

(01:43:17):
Pakel Show. It's the Hard Count on YouTube.

Speaker 7 (01:43:21):
J D.

Speaker 2 (01:43:21):
Big day for you, buddy. First, uh, seedings for the
college football playoffs. It's becoming real now.

Speaker 7 (01:43:27):
Huh it's about to happen, man, it's it's it's starting
to provide a little more clarity at the same exact
time Clemson making sure we get absolutely zero clarity. So
I'm fired up, man, excited to see how this uh,
this Penn State organ finishes. Man, it looks like it's
gonna give us a little more juice than we bargained
for at the beginning of the week, but nonetheless many
sad talking ball with y'all.

Speaker 2 (01:43:47):
Yeah, both of these games started out with Clemson and
Oregon taking big leads. SMU has kind of fought back
in here, but Clemson with the ball dripping down the field.
Penn State has fought all the way back into this game.
Let's all talk about one that has already been finished.
We know that the Arizona State Sun Devils are the
winners of the Big Twelve, and it feels to me,
Jay d you follow this closer than I do, but

(01:44:09):
I am here most Saturdays, especially before the show, doing
updates just on scores. Arizona State seems as if do
they know that point differential doesn't matter in this grand
scheme of things, because they have been whooping ass the
last two weeks, and I feel like I'd be scared
to see him coming in his playoffs.

Speaker 7 (01:44:27):
They're one of those teams I think you said it perfectly,
like in terms of this new format, they're kind of
that team that's getting hot at the right time, like
you would see in March Madness, Like they got the
three ball go when they're playing good defense. They got
the rotation right, and I mean Kim skataboo. Man, he's
got a doctor Shue's kind of name. He went to
the Marshawn Lynn School of breaking tackles. It doesn't matter

(01:44:48):
what you got on the other side of the field.
Mean you still got to see him one on one
in the hole. I think that is going to be
a super intriguing draw for the next round of the
college football playoff. And they left no doubt, that's for sure.

Speaker 3 (01:45:00):
Jad was good VJ Burner Husky. Here there, man, how's
the new addition to the family. And how's the lady doing?
How she resting?

Speaker 7 (01:45:05):
Man? Man, I appreciate you asking all us get over here.

Speaker 5 (01:45:08):
Man.

Speaker 7 (01:45:09):
Before before we got on the air, here she was
firing off some take. My little girl was so my
wife's ranked up and calm her down. And so I
don't know how to explain to her that Indiana is
going to be in the college football playoffs. But it's
you know, we're gonna We're gonna find.

Speaker 2 (01:45:25):
A way that's right.

Speaker 3 (01:45:26):
And whenever they get in trouble, just take their tablets
from him and make them watch film. That's how you
groom me, young man. Okay, she's got to watch films
show ass down and watch this film. So man, come on,
let's talk about the teen today that won the SEC
championship a few years For weeks ago, I told you
I thought them, Georgia, UH, Texas and Oregon were to
me the three best teams in the nation. I don't
care what happened with Georgia or anything like that. I

(01:45:47):
just know they're one of those teams that they just
got to get there, right And if they get there,
do you want to really mess with Kirby Smart? Do
you really want to mess with these NFL guys are defense?
This isn't a defensive n Kobe Dean and Carter and
those guys. Those guys are on to the league.

Speaker 2 (01:45:59):
But they got a bunch of guys right now that's
gonna be in the league also to it. You can
see it starting to form.

Speaker 3 (01:46:03):
How dangerous on a scale of one to ten is
Georgia going into this college football playoffs?

Speaker 7 (01:46:10):
You know, I think for the fact of them getting
a buy, I think they're at nine. And if they
had gotten the Biden, I don't know if I would
have said that, because you see them starting to wear
down right, we see the Georgia Tech game, they go
to another overtime game with Texas, and now Kirby smart
it's twenty four some odd days to get in his
mad laboratory right right, to get his game plan to

(01:46:32):
get that team rested. And y'all, I don't know about you.
I watched that game and I left feeling like I
may have just watched the National Championship game. And my
mentions I tweeted that out. My mentions are an absolute
war zone right now. I don't understand why. I get
that the point total didn't have enough for Brett the
sociology major. He wanted to see more touchdowns. But like
you said at the top, we got NFL draft picks

(01:46:54):
on both of these defenses. Like, I don't understand why
we couldn't see them play again in the SEMIS or
for National Championship. Like I get, Oregon has obviously been
the most unblemish team. Ohio State showed what they are
I think to some respector what the capable of being. Like,
I don't think it's that crazy of a notion to
say that Texas and Georgia are right up to their
contention for being in the national title picture when it's

(01:47:16):
all sudden done yet again?

Speaker 2 (01:47:17):
Now, JD, Yeah, I know you said Jo mentions on fire.
I don't dabble nearly as much as I used to,
but I did see this a lot well. Last year,
Florida States quarterback got hurt and they didn't get into
that playoff. Right now, Georgia's cornerback is hurt, so now
shouldn't name me out in the playoffs? Tell me the

(01:47:37):
impact of Carson Beck's shoulder injury. He came back in
the game but handed the ball off with his wrong
hands to end up on the game winning play. What
is the impact, if any, Carson Beck's injury has on
Georgia and his potential seeding?

Speaker 7 (01:47:52):
Matt, I got a couple of thoughts for you. The
first is, even if Carson Beck will never play football again,
even if his arm is gonna have to be it
dated him questionable. If you're Georgia, you say he's questionable,
first of all. Second of all, the thing with Florida
State is when they lost their quarterback, they became substantially worse.
And everyone with two sets of eyes were able to

(01:48:14):
see that, or two I balls were able to see that. Georgia.
Actually they went to their backup quarterback. I'm not so sure.
I don't like that offense better with Gunnerstalkton.

Speaker 2 (01:48:22):
Now.

Speaker 7 (01:48:22):
I think some of that is the element of surprise.
Some of that is, you know, was Texas totally prepped
what Gunner Stalkton was. Totally understand that. To me, he
gives them identity. Long story short, I think he elevates
or at least keeps in some way, shape or form
Georgia be as competitive as they are to begin with.
And the third thought is like, if we went to
a twelve team format last year, Florida State would have

(01:48:43):
still been in So I understand the gripe. I understand
that being frustrating. I actually think the interesting conversation when
it comes to the quarterback being healthy and not healthy
as air is on the state because their quarterback wasn't
healthy for one game this year they lost to Track
that they're Level one football team, and I mean I
love that. I love Boise State. I get they play
Oregon close, but like the gauntlet that Arizona State has

(01:49:04):
run in the Big twelve relative to what the Mountain
West did. Like, I think that whole conversation is far
more interesting than me. You talk about ASU and where
you see them in the playoff, I want them getting
a buy over boy You State. So to put it simply,
I get the grych from a Florida State fans, but
like very very different world, different situations, and I think
that might just be something that maybe you want to
leave over in twenty twenty three.

Speaker 2 (01:49:25):
And I hate to even agree with the fact as
far as the Boise State buying things go.

Speaker 3 (01:49:29):
I don't want Boys State to have a buy because
I don't think you shelve Ash and Genzy that type
of TV rating bonanza guy that he would gain. I
don't think you shove him in the first round. I
know that's stupid probably to say, but I'm looking at
the business side of it. It's like to me, I listen,
if there's a three lost team getting in, it's Colorado.
You want Prime, want you one hundred. They've got two
guys that are going to.

Speaker 2 (01:49:49):
Be in New York anyway, Let's stick right there, a
nice sequay, and let's stay to the bottom half of
it is. I think we know what's happening at the top.

Speaker 3 (01:49:55):
I think the twelve teams are set right now as
we sit here seven thirty nine Pacific time, ten thirty
nine Eastern Standard time. I think the twelve teams are set,
but at the bottom there, let's go back JAD. You
and I talked about this on many shows. You can't
have a three loss team, and that doesn't make any sense.
This is not sixteen, eighteen, twenty or twenty four.

Speaker 2 (01:50:16):
This is twelve.

Speaker 3 (01:50:17):
Do tomorrow do we see a three loss team that
didn't win their conference slide into the College Football Playoff?

Speaker 7 (01:50:26):
You know, it's third quarter right now for Clemson SMU.
Unless Clemson goes on and scored another fifty on answer,
that makes it seventy four to fourteen at the end
of this thing, I think we see Alabama on the
outside looking in as a three loss team. Now again,
I think it's also borring SMU goes on a run
here and ends up coming back and winning this football
game that I'm ten right now, But no, I think

(01:50:47):
you said it perfectly like even with all that tough
feed desire from SMU, Like, do I think they're one
of the twelve best team in college football based on
just what our eyes tell us. Probably not. Have they
earned their way into the College Football Playoff? Based on
what they've been have to do this season. Yeah, I
think so. So I mean to put it simply, if
we were to stick with this format, and again I
think this format's pretty dumb. If we're just gonna be honest,

(01:51:08):
if we're gonna stick with this format here going forward
for the next couple of years, we will see a
three lost team getting there. Heck, I want to be
surprised if we ended up seeing two three lost teams exactly.
We're at large bid. Yeah, but with what we have
right now Alabama, barring SMU coming back for Clemson absolutely
making a statement that SMU is braud Lens all get out,

(01:51:28):
we will not see a three loss team in the
college football platformorrow in that loud bid.

Speaker 3 (01:51:31):
So just real fast, So to you SMU win and
lose to Night Darrean because they only have one loss
right now, eleven to one, but so they're in for
you there.

Speaker 2 (01:51:38):
Okay. So we're looking at right now Penn State and
Oregon playing in the Big Tennis Championship game, which is
great news to everybody except for Ryan Day because what
does Ohio State have to do in the next month
whatever of college football for fans to feel good? About

(01:51:58):
Ryan Day coming back after losing to Michigan.

Speaker 7 (01:52:03):
For Ohio State fans, they gotta win a national championship,
which is bizarre and unfair, and unfortunately, it is what
you sign up for when you're the head coach at
Ohio State, and it's what you have to do when
you've lost the Michigan four times in a row. And
I believe we talked about this last show when I
jumped on with y'all last weekend, But like, I really
believe that at some point in time, like Ryan Day

(01:52:26):
is gonna just say, y'all, screw this. Like I'm a
good football coach. I can go win ten games a
year somewhere else and be the freaking man in my
city and order uber each to not worry about someone's
spitting in my food because he lost the last game.

Speaker 2 (01:52:38):
Of the year.

Speaker 7 (01:52:39):
You can't do that in Ohio State right now. I
think if they lose in the first round of the
College Football Playoff, maybe they'd end up drawing airs on
the state, which the plot thickens there a little bit
if they end up getting that five seed or we know,
we'll see how things shake out tomorrow, because I think
you put them ahead of Penn State because the head
to head is there. If it ends up going that
way and they lose in the first round, much less
to a twelve seed. I think he's fired. I think

(01:53:00):
he's fired.

Speaker 2 (01:53:01):
Is it fair?

Speaker 3 (01:53:02):
No?

Speaker 7 (01:53:02):
Is it? You know?

Speaker 6 (01:53:04):
Uh?

Speaker 7 (01:53:04):
Is there a better coach than the wings th O
High State right now? Again, I don't think so with
the guys you know, going what sixty ten as the
head coach. Yeah, but I do think that's probably the reality.
You gotta go win the whole thing right now, because that's.

Speaker 2 (01:53:15):
What the drop of fires forty seven and one in
the Big Ten unless he's playing Michigan. I mean, it's
it's It is a crazy story that only makes sense
in college football, which is part of the reason why
is the best sport.

Speaker 3 (01:53:27):
I like his point though about Ryan Day. May just say,
you know what, dude, screwed this. I can go coach
somewhere like screwed this guy.

Speaker 2 (01:53:34):
You guys want to hang me again, dude, But I'm
out of here. I mean I said it at the time.
I like that opinion. I said it at the time.
This is this could be a ten year loss for
Ohio of course, because Ryan Day steps down and they
hire the wrong guy or Ryan DA gets fired and
to hire the wrong guy. Trust me, I lived through
Rich Rodriguez and Brady Hoak. But Jay D Bokel you am, I, sir,
are a star, not like those guys. Thank you for

(01:53:54):
joining us. Give my best to the wife indicated my friend.
Appreciate you.

Speaker 7 (01:53:59):
I appreciate you.

Speaker 2 (01:54:01):

happens next week. Coming to Martin Wis's Vja Husky Fox
Sports Football Saturday, Fox Sports Radio, Martin Wise Vjay Husky

(01:54:43):
coming to your life from the tire rack dot com stdeos.
If you'd like, you can hit us up on social media.
I am at Martin Wise, VJ at the Big Vanilla Funny.
Let's see here. Oh we got a little chewy rincone
saying he's putting on work. Appreciate it. He's back with
the hotties. Sue my man has always got a bottle
model next to him. I wonder how she feels about

(01:55:05):
going under the missiletee with him. Uh, he says. At
least the Panthers and the Eagles will air on Fox
in Houston. I hope the Eagles take the game seriously
because after the Steelers they have the Lions on deck.
Eagles do have some big games coming up. Lucky go
get a nine to eight nine. VJ says, got a
new rule for OPI when it happened, it's not only

(01:55:27):
fifteen yards but also a loss of down. Love that
at your thought, absolutely, I love that. I read that already.
I love it. Absolutely.

Speaker 3 (01:55:33):
You should have to put because if it's defensive pass,
the fairies either spot foul or fifty yards.

Speaker 2 (01:55:38):
If you get it first. Now you should lose.

Speaker 3 (01:55:40):
If it's offensive one I want to read really quick too,
Ossie Wallas, I love this right here says if the
Jacks end up with the number one, picking the Raiders
with the number two, would the Raiders sell the farm
to have picks one in two and take your door
and Travis, whoa?

Speaker 2 (01:55:56):
This is I like that? What's fascinating about this because
they would? Right, Well, here's the thing. I think the
price would even be artificially depressed. Name me the teams
that are terrible who also need a quarterback? New York
Vegas by Mass Jets. Well, the Jets quarterback situation isn't flogged.

(01:56:20):
But if they bring back Aaron Rodgers are not spending
their first round pick on the quarterback, Okay, which I
think would be ludicrous.

Speaker 3 (01:56:26):
But I mean, just read the report, trying to day
that you might have known the team. That's it, right,
if you go through the NF I'm just going through
the divisions. In my head, everybody's got their quarterback. Even
in Minnesota. We know JJ's the kid, right, but you
got Sam Donald.

Speaker 2 (01:56:38):
But Jason's kid you got And then that's the other thing.
One of those two, one of those three spots, we'll
have some combination of Sam Donald or Sam Donald starting that.

Speaker 3 (01:56:49):
Yeah, true, true, even Justin Phills. Remember Justin Phills is
a free agent this year, someone's gonna sign him. He's
gonna have a chance to compete with somebody, not unless
they can bring him in knowing he's going to be
the backup.

Speaker 2 (01:56:59):
So while we don't know what will be the eventual
draft quarterback situation, we do know quite a bit of
time for by this time next week. By this time
next week, Bill Belichick will be doing all the same
things he's doing right now, media and so on and
so forth. He will not be the head coach of
the North Carolina Tarrios. By this time next week, the
LA Chargers will still have a shot to win the

(01:57:20):
AFC West. I'm cheating a little bit. By the middle
of next week, not exactly by this time next week,
but by the middle of next week, Heater Ohio State
will be looking for a new head coach.

Speaker 3 (01:57:31):
Ryan Day will be out of there. By this time
next week, the Lakers will be positioned out of the playoffs.
They sit at the Tennessee right now this week Portland, Minnesota, Memphis, Sacramento.

Speaker 2 (01:57:41):
I literally have right here. By this time next week,
Lakers fans. We'll start to question JJ Reddick loudly. The
Numbers win lost offense, defense strikingly similar to one guy
that they have called mister Pockets, Darvin Ham. By this
time next week, the LA Galaxy would have sel lebrated
a parade in their championship in the MSL our MLS.

(01:58:04):
I think that just proves it. That proves the whole point.
That proves the whole point and the one and the who.
You know what, I'm looking forward to the Lakers winning
the n AB. Oh you know what, No, no, no, hey,
you know what. I can't wait for Week fourteen. That's
what on the n LF. That's what I was writing

(01:58:26):
down when you were like, what are you laughing? That's
what I was writing down. Oh I did that. Don't wait.
I can't wait see on Wednesdays CBF games between Oregon
and Penn State and SMU and Clemson. I cannot wait.
Oh man.

Speaker 3 (01:58:45):
Also, by this time next week, the Niners shut down. McCaffrey. Oh,
he shut down last week. It's over, but we're shutting
down now.

Speaker 2 (01:58:52):
And the best college football recap show in the nation
starts in just a minute. Jason Smith. Yeah, gall what
it is it's the best
