Speaker 1 (00:25):
Should be ready for a big Saturday. Here, Monsei so excited.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Yeah, I'm actually ready for the game in two hours,
the MAVs Okayse game.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
That is going to be a very interesting game because
you are on record, I am, you are on record
that not only will the Mavericks win this series, they're
gonna win it all. Yeah, ah, you are already now.
I was about to make my proclamation, you have a
whole ran out a time, have al you out end
of today's show. I promise I will have a prediction.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
He's capping everybody, he's cappen.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Well, bottom line, since you made that prediction, they into
Oka Ses they did, which was huge and got the victory.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
It's it's great.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
We're gonna have a couple of Game seven's coming up.
Tomorrow with the Knicks hosting the Pacers and Denver hosting
the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Yeah, always good with the game seven.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
It's funny though, because of the blowout nature of the
Game six is all of a sudden people are like, yeah,
I see the Pacers going to beat the Knicks on
the road and the te Wolves are once again going
to beat Denver on the road.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Like, slow down a little bit here. I mean, I
don't know how much.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
I don't know how much you saw of Game six
between the t Wolves and the Nuggets.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
But you talk about a mail in game.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Yeah, I mean, you don't lose by forty something points.
It was the biggest blowout playoff loss ever by a
defending NBA champion. If you watch that game, Denver literally
going through the motions.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
I did not watch it live, but I watched it
after and I thought the same thing, and I was like,
why are we why because you want to win at home?

Speaker 1 (01:58):
It just felt it was very clipper esque. That's very
clipper esque when I watched it.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
But there's a warning to that there are no mailing games.
When you have a chance to close a team out,
get it done done. The idea that while we'll be
at home in Game seven. And yes, the you know
winny percentage of home teams in game seven is prominent,
but it's not absolute.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
I mean, my guess is one of the two road teams,
either the t Wolves or the Pacers.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Are going to win tomorrow. Interesting. Interesting, No, I can't
figure out which one.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Yeah, but I'm because I had a friend of mine said, oh,
I'm definitely taking the Pacers and the t Wls.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
I don't know if that's ever happened where two road
teams on the same day have won a Game seven
on the road.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
Yeah, It's just the wins have been so lopsided that
how could you how could you feel comfortable making a
decision on either of those series?

Speaker 1 (02:56):
Like, I'm still comfortable with.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
My map's decision right those other two series, I'm like,
I don't know, they have just been so lobsided, and
I can't.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
Figure out what it is.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
Is it that one team gets really hot shooting from
the three, and then the other team is like, well,
we're not going to catch up if we can't match
you know, the threes that they're making.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
I don't know what.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
It is, but I hate how lopsided the wins have been.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
But with the Denver Nuggets, Yeah, and this is to
the frustration of their coach Malone.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
This has been going all all season.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
It has been going on a you know when when
they want to show up or need to show up,
they show up. And after losing those first two games
at home, to then turn around and get two games
on the road against Minnesota sort of gave them that
comfort like, yeah, we can still.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Do this, and then winning the third one.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Well, they won the game five at home, right, but
the two on the after losing two blowouts at home,
to go back on the road and win two games,
then winning game five at home, it gives you that
false sense of security. Yes, the fact is the te
Welves are a very tough matchup for Denver because of
their size, and unlike the Lakers, who had nowhere near

(04:08):
the size to compete against the Nuggets, the tee Wolves
obviously do.

Speaker 5 (04:12):
So.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Yeah, I felt like maybe more so with the Denver Nuggets,
because I mean that game was just ridiculous. Yeah, that
they're just counting on the fact that, yeah, once we're home,
will be fine.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
This is a dangerous game to.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Play, very dangerous especially with Minnesota.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
It's like, you're not You're not playing a team that's
not hungry.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
Because how many NBA championships have the Minnesota Timberwolves one
that would.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
Be yeah, nothing.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
And you could hear Anthony Edwards being so hungry about it,
you know, just in his interviews, like what did they
say that after game five or after game four he
said to the usher, I'll see you in game seven,
Like the confidence is there, and you do not want
to go up against a team like that, and especially,
like you said, a team that matches up really well
against you, if not maybe better, just a little bit younger,

(04:58):
a little bit faster than and the Denver Nuggets are like,
you don't want to.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
Do this now.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
If you're and I'm gonna call him, you're because you
picked on to win a championship. You're Dallas Mavericks. Mark
Cuban side by side. Yes, by the way, the few
times I had any interaction with Mark Cuban, there the
same age and everything.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
He's he's a good guy. Oh yes, I met him
one time.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
Yeah, I was working at Universal Studios as the tour
guide and he was in the VIP lounge and I
walked out there and I said, you have a fan
in La and it's me.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
I mean he's a really good guy. Tall well, I
mean totally yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
He just stood up and I was like, I don't
know he was as tall. Yeah, you know, like he
wears this.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
But you know, the thing about it is when you
think about how he amassed his fortune, which was in
the very early stages of the dot com era, and
they had broadcast dot Com, which he sold and became
like an instant billionaire.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
Right had he waited like the dot.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Com crash happened about six months after that, oh no,
we would never have heard of argument.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
I ever heard of the guy.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
But I'm glad he's around because he has done a
really good job of that team. So we're obviously have
Dallas try to close out this series at home. They
don't want to go back to OKC. They got the
big Game five victory on the road. To do it
twice will be tough. Yes, I don't expect OKC to
roll over.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Tonight, not at all, Not at all.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
And the reason I'm even giving more credit right now
to the maps it actually has nothing to do with
the way Kyrie and Luca have really found a way
to play together.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
PJ.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
Washington stepping up being that crucial other player off the bench.
Derek Lively like, it's it's just that they're playing well,
which is helping because Kyrie has had like a couple
of games where he's been a little bit quiet.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
Luca hasn't played his best game five Game five where
he also didn't complain to the refs. Did you see I.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
Heard they were saying that he controlled himself. Remember the
one comedy made to the female official that one time.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
Remind me because right now I don't he made.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
It was sort of like he was questioning her about
a call she made and he says she's He's like,
I didn't like your foul and foul call and she's like,
what foul and follow and he goes, no, I've fall
in love with you, and she sort of smiled at
him like, Okay, you're just being stupid.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Yes you know that, Luca. Yeah, So he was.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
Having some fun with it. So anyway, we got some
NBA we're going to be talking about. By the way,
Adam Kaplan, our NFL insider, is going to be joining
us in about eight or nine minutes. We're going to
go over this schedule for the National Football League. Does
the schedule, I mean everything the NFL does is a
big deal.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
It is, I mean not for me. I guess if
you've seasoned tickets and you want to know what I.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Mean, they like they're announcing the schedule, what was on
a Wednesday? And like they shut they shut down the
New York stock Age, Yes, you know or something.

Speaker 6 (08:01):
I mean.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
People just go like can and the Jets are? How
many primetime games do the Jets have? And I'm like,
does any of this really matter to.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
A lot of people? Apparently walk to a lot of people.

Speaker 6 (08:13):
Let me ask you this.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
If you watch Thursday night football or Sunday night football
or Monday night football, do you also watch Sunday afternoon football?

Speaker 1 (08:24):
My guess is yes, yes, exactly.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
If you're like, well, I only watch Thursday, I only
watch Sunday night, I only watch Monday. You ever see
Sunday afternoon games? And now I'm stuck with the Jets?
Come on, none of this matters.

Speaker 3 (08:39):
But you know, some people are literally waiting to see
what game they're gonna go to when they can catch you.
If you're here in la as we know, so if
I stadium is filled with visiting fans, not the home fans.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
So everybody's waiting to see when they're gonna be able to.

Speaker 3 (08:53):
See, you know, Patrick Mahomes take on the Chargers, Lamar Jackson,
the Harbor Brothers playing against each other here in LA Like,
everyone's waiting for that, just to make a plan. But
it is crazy how big of a deal it is
for the schedule. Like, so I wonder if people had
to watch parties for it.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
I'm sure they did. I'm surely. Yeah, we shove it Sunday. No,
I just the work is so ridiculous.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
It is, But maybe we're the ones that don't get it,
since I feel like we're the ones not excited when
everybody else seems excited.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
All right, Well, I want to break a little early
to get some extra time because we missed him last week.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
We did miss him last week.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
We're going to get a little inside on his thoughts
about any significant announcements with the announcement of the NFL schedule.
We're going to check in with our NFL insider, Adam Kaplan.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
Steve Harban, Monzie Belanias Here Fox Sports Saturday. We are
live from the tire Raq dot com studios. All right,
let's check in with our man right now. It's always
a bummer when he can't join us. He's very busy guy.
But when he can, it's a treat. Every single time.
I'm talking about our NFL insider here at Fox Sports Radio,

(10:53):
Adam Kaplan. Adam, great to catch up with you and
Moncie and I were sort of joking about all the
hooplaw when they announced the schedule for the NFL. Now
we already know in advance who plays who and where
they play the games.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
It's just on what dates are they gonna play the games.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
And my argument to this, when people are screaming about
the Jets on so many primetime games early in the year,
is well, if you watch Thursday night Football and Sunday
Night Football and Monday Night football, my guess is that
you also watch Sunday afternoon football, So why does it
matter who's on these primetime games.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
I'm just I'm trying to figure out how that dynamic works.

Speaker 7 (11:35):
Well from a guys, from a league standpoint, they want
sort of legacy teams, they want rivalry teams. They want
teams that are going to track a number because that's
what the networks want.

Speaker 6 (11:46):
And this is interesting.

Speaker 7 (11:47):
Now, look, there's no reason for the league to lie
about I'm sure it's true Mike North, who's heads up
to schedule. Mike has been doing it for well over
two decades. What he said like the network's clamor to
get the Jets on him. They won them after what
happened last year, and then Mike had the great line
they kind of owe Us won because Aaron Rodgers got

(12:08):
hurt in that first game within four plays. So look,
the Jets without Aaron Rodgers, they're a bad football team.

Speaker 6 (12:14):
I think we all know that.

Speaker 7 (12:15):
Despite how great their defense is, the offensive they just
can't get the job done. So here are once again
now from a viewership standpoint, it's a quarterback driven league, Steve.
That's what the fans want. They want to see quarterback matchups.
And if you just go through the schedule, there's so
many great ones. There's some underrated ones. Everybody wants to
talk about the Ravens Chiefs Week one. We get that

(12:36):
should be great, But how about the Eagles hosting that
they technicalar hosting them because it's a home game for them.
The Eagles hosting the Packers and Jordan Love's who's on
his way to being a really good quarterback.

Speaker 6 (12:48):
Again, it's a quarterback driven league.

Speaker 7 (12:49):
So to answer your question, it's yeah, we are already
know the matchups, but it's when you have them. And
I love the flex scheduling. I know some of the
fans don't, but the flex scheduling is what it's all about.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
Adam.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
What I noticed with the schedule, several teams Chiefs, Ravens,
Cowboys are going to have three games in ten days. Yeah,
is this just the future of the direction we're moving
in despite all the injuries, they're talking about adding another game,
adding another bye week.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
Is this just the future that we're going to see?

Speaker 6 (13:19):
See? The league will tell you and their data does
not show that there's any more risk.

Speaker 7 (13:23):
I know the NFLPA will probably have their say in that,
but yeah, it is absolutely the way it's going now.
The league does look at this rest situation they take because,
as Mike North said, from the NFL look, they go
through every scenario. They don't want to give teams a
competitive advantage like two years ago and it was a

(13:45):
Super Bowl year for the Eagles, and I don't know
how they let this happen, but the Eagles led the
NFL and playing teams coming off of a bide. I
know it's a quirk in the schedule, but that should
not have happened. It shouldn't be by so much. And
the Eagles, I know, complain about that that they were
not happy about that.

Speaker 6 (14:01):
But the league overall does such a great job.

Speaker 7 (14:05):
And then you know, you get to choose when you win,
have your bye week, certain certain teams wanted earlier or
something they go by sports sciences. It's kind of like whatever,
whatever you think, the players' bodies will spawned better. But
that's the other part about this is getting enough rest
to heal up the bodies.

Speaker 6 (14:20):
That it's fair game.

Speaker 7 (14:23):
But the NFL teams, by the way they will they were,
They can request not playing in that kind of time frame,
but the league can only do so much.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
All Right, I don't want to bring this up, but
I'm going to do it anyway.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
Why hasn't the NFL already suspended Harrison Bucker for life?

Speaker 1 (14:40):
I say that tongue in cheek, I know.

Speaker 7 (14:42):
But look, the league is distanced themselves from it.

Speaker 6 (14:46):
It's not the it.

Speaker 7 (14:48):
Look, I know, look, without getting social media and which
side you're on and what you believe and don't believe
in it's it's a player's right to say whatever he wants.
You could be offended by it. That's it is what
it is. It's just it's just the way it's. It's
the way we live right now in social media. And

(15:09):
obviously he was doing this at a at a at
a college. But look, I know it's a Keith body.
Maybe he's talking about the NFL's best kicker, certainly one
of the best three. But yeah, I get it, but
you notice it. I haven't seen anything from the Chiefs
as much.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
Well I know why, and I'll explain that later in
our show. Fully aware of the Hunt family's history.

Speaker 1 (15:30):
So but I mean, my my I guess.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
My point is is the fact that you know, if
people make enough noise the sponsor.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
Here's my thing.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
And we can go back to the kneeling situation with Kaepernick,
right sure, and all the pressures that were on the
league to make some kind of stance on that situation,
and in many ways they did, uh, not to the
satisfaction of a lot of people, but they at least
acknowledge it in some way.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
But as the NFL at such.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
A level now, Adam, where you can throw anything at
this league and it will have zero effect.

Speaker 7 (16:07):
Yes, you know, I remember when the Kaepernick stuff actually
went down, when he kneeled for the first time, at
least when the when it got caught on tape. I
was actually working at ESPN, man, and I do remember
talking to some folks who were not aware of it,
who worked in the league for a club, worked at
league level, they were just absolutely stunned.

Speaker 6 (16:29):
They had not seen anything like this before.

Speaker 7 (16:32):
And then we would we would learn later what happened
with Kaepernick, you would sue the league being black balled
and so forth.

Speaker 6 (16:39):
It's just this is the look again.

Speaker 7 (16:42):
You could take whatever side you want to take, but
does anything really shock you at this point? I mean,
does anyone anything really surprise you? And and and the
question is though, see, by the way, when you mentioned
the Kaepernick thing, there was an initial initial outrage from
from a league level. They just couldn't understand it. And
then over time, if you remember Roger Goodell did the

(17:07):
Maniacco Show or and look, I mean he said, look,
they could could have handled it better.

Speaker 6 (17:13):
I mean it was just once you.

Speaker 7 (17:16):
Get over the surprise and shock of everything, you gather information,
you have a decision to make, one which shied you're on.
But bottom line is you're right. Nothing is going to
stop this train, no matter what happens, no matter how
many games they have, because you know why, it's you
got eighteen weeks. Okay, let's remember that in seventeen games.
I've always said the league will be successful in spite

(17:38):
of itself, and that we could go into all the issues,
and there were a lot of them, but there's nothing
they could.

Speaker 6 (17:44):
Do to screw it up in terms of fan interest.

Speaker 7 (17:46):
I'm just telling you, oh, by the way, giveing more
games to streaming networks, that's not going to hurt anybody.

Speaker 6 (17:54):
It's another part of it.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
Except me because I don't have peacock.

Speaker 3 (17:59):
Moving on another possible suspension, Rashie Rice, Yeah, what do
you think is going to happen?

Speaker 1 (18:04):
Is the league gonna suspend him?

Speaker 3 (18:05):
Is he going to be suspended by the Chiefs, Because
now there's two incidents that are under his belt before
the season starts.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
What do you anticipate happening here?

Speaker 6 (18:13):
Well, the second one is more leged.

Speaker 7 (18:14):
The first one we know definitely happened, right, aniety owned
up right right. The second one, Look, I'm expecting to
be pretty lengthy. Here's why. When there's no tape, when
there's no videotape of something, it's hard to suspend or
suspend for a lengthy amount of time. That's kind of
what I've learned in twenty five years of covering this business.

(18:37):
When there's video, when there's admission, and Rice admitted to
his part of the drag racing he's look, I mean
find that he admitted it. But the bottom line is
it's pretty serious and I expected to be pretty lengthy.
I couldn't tell you how much time it's going to be,
four six eight half the season. I couldn't tell you that.
I'd be stunned if it's less than four weeks. It's

(19:00):
it's a pretty look. That was pretty dangerous what he did.
There's no defending it. And again there is videotape of it.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
The Jared Goff extension on his contract, which when the
trade was made and the Rams threw in a couple
of number one picks to essentially dump his salary. And
now he gets a contract extension one hundred and forty eight,
almost all of it guaranteed a million dollars at his signing.

(19:29):
What kind of impact does that have with Matthew Stafford
wanting a contract extension with the Rams.

Speaker 7 (19:37):
Yeah, in fact, look, they knowledge. Does he want extension
of what he has left on it? If they can't
get it, he wants it guaranteed because they've look at
some point, you know, he said it's been thirty The
Rams are going to have to look for the future quarterback,
just like the Vikings were going to do, and Kirk
Cousins knew that. It's one of the reasons why it
just wasn't going to work out for him. Beck in Minnesota.

(19:57):
Now he's at Atlanta. It has an impact. I mean, I
get Gof's younger and all that, but Staffort's also won
a Super Bowl. It's just a matter of when you
look at his contract, figuring out a way to make
it work where they can get out of it by structure.
There's the Rams cannot do anything about it this season,
and it's not going to be easy next season. So
but he wants a bigger guarantee. I expect that to

(20:19):
happen one way or the other two for them to
massage the massage's contract. If it's not you know, three
or four years fully guaranteed, it's signing it. It's somewhere
where it's commensurate to what's out there. See that's the thing,
Steve that the agents and players have a problem with
Tick of the older guys. They go, wait a minute,
I've done this, and this other guy has not done it,
and he just got that contract. I haven't got the

(20:39):
full breakdown of it, but by the way, Goff's story
is amazing and Sean mcvagh drove that train.

Speaker 6 (20:44):
He wanted him out of there, out of the rams.

Speaker 7 (20:46):
It's I'm sure Shawn's learned for that situation where there's
frustration with golf. And by the way, Seawan's frustration with
players is not a secret in league circles with Todd
Gurley and his need to get him to play, and
Todd had a had a problem with arthuritis in one
of his knees which ended his career. When he has
problems with players, it's it's never a secret. And he

(21:08):
went to golf off the roster and he got his
wish and who know what a story for golf here
with the Lions.

Speaker 3 (21:14):
Sticking with contract extensions. Tua Togo by law has not
really been at voluntary workouts. He's kind of waiting for
an extension.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
What do you anticipate happening with him.

Speaker 6 (21:24):
That's a tough one because of his injury history.

Speaker 8 (21:26):
M hmm.

Speaker 7 (21:27):
And now Chris career that you have did draft him
that was sort of questionable at the time. He stayed
really healthy last season for the first time in his career.
They're not they don't have a middle ground. That's the
problem because of his injury history. It's it's it's a
real tough one. Now again, we're we're we're only in May.
Now these things really don't mean a whole lot. Now,
if he doesn't show up to the mandatory camp, they

(21:48):
can rescind the fines, but those finds payl comparison to
the fines in training camp. That and by the way,
he has a new representation he changed over the last
couple of years, and that that that that's always interesting
when when when that happens. But that's it becomes a
real story when we get to late July, when because
the the finds are punitive and you cannot rescind them,

(22:11):
that's when I start really thinking, okay, when we have
a real story here. But look, you take note of it,
but it's really not a big deal in May.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
Well, we are talking earlier about all the watch parties
that were for the announcement of the schedule in the NFL.
I mean, I'm amazed at the New York Stocking Change
didn't shut down that day with the announcement of the
dates for the games around the NFL. But that's where
it is, and that's why we need to talk to
this man as often as we can. Adam were You're
the best, simply the best. Do not stray from us.

Speaker 6 (22:39):
We need you. I will be here too. I was
actually on vacation last week, so.

Speaker 2 (22:45):
Yes, I'll share my own travel stories. I hope you
like a like a relaxing vacation, right ob x outterbanks.

Speaker 6 (22:52):
For those of you who are not familiar with the term.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
Yes, Yes, that's the way She'll be. That's way, Adam,
great Cevil, talk to you next week.

Speaker 6 (22:58):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (22:58):
That's Adam Kaplan. I fell insider.

Speaker 2 (23:01):
By the way, Thoroughbred Racing has a new independent regulator HAISA,
which is implementing comprehensive reforms, and the sport is combining
hands on care with cutting edge technology to help keep
its athletes safe. To learn more, visit Safety runs First
dot com. That Safety Runs First dot com. All right,

(23:21):
let's find out what is trending right now. I've been
his ear, so I always do getting here early anytime
I see Beefen in the house, we got a lot
to catch up.

Speaker 8 (23:30):
If you're not here two hours before the show, I
start to worry.

Speaker 1 (23:33):
About call someone. Yeah, yeah really, I actually was only
about an hour and a half today.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
So that I was a little bit worried for you,
but I saw that you were here with the thousands
of jobs.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
I was just about to say, it's good to see you.

Speaker 1 (23:47):
You just you know in the dream.

Speaker 8 (23:49):
Well, you know, we all just are going for dreams here. Yeah,
so just grateful for opportunities. I know we all are
in this industry and appreciate you all for that. And yeah,
you were talking about, Well, guess what we've got in
about twenty minutes or so. We got the Preakness coming up,
the second leg of the Triple Crown, and is it
going to be a win for Mystic Dan He was

(24:10):
the Kentucky Derby winner. He is going to be that
number five post position and is your favorite right now
morning line of a five to two, So he is
going to be that leader. We'll see how that goes
out and we'll have obviously all of the updates on
that as it plays out. Also, we are also witnessing
the PG Championship, the second major of the year when

(24:31):
it comes to golf. Third round is up in underway
and it's just about almost done with all the golfers
finishing their third rounds. Colin Mori Kawa is still out there.
He is on the sixteenth hole, as is Shane Lowry.
So Colin Morikawa has jumped in front. He is a
sole leader at fourteen hundred for the tournament, three under
on the day through sixteen holes. Sanders Schoffle had some

(24:54):
issues on fifteen he missed the green with his approach
shot and now finds himself after leading by as many
as two shots to day up at fifteen under. Now
to thirteen under, there's a three way tie for second place.
There's Andrew Schaffle, sah Thigala and Shane Lowry who dropped
a sixty two carding a birdie fest of a third round.
Nine under for the day, and he has himself right

(25:16):
in striking range. There somebody who doesn't is Scottie Scheffler.
Began the day three under or excuse me, three off
the pace and now Monsei and Steve is eight shots back.
It is no boeno, so he is three over for
the day. Made a mess of things, pulled his inner
Steve Hartman on the front nine. A couple of burgies,

(25:38):
a couple of double bogies went left of the cart
path on one hole, and I was like, that's Steve Hartman.
In a nutshell, yes, and as he gives me the
side eye there and then in the NBA you guys
were talking about that that was on the side eye.

Speaker 1 (25:53):
That was a three quarter. Oh, I'm so sorry? How
dare I? How dare I?

Speaker 8 (25:58):
We do have the NBA playoff game tonight, but we
do have some injury news relating to the Knicks Pacers
Game seven, which is tomorrow and the Knicks. According to reports,
Josh Hart suffered an abdominal strain and he is a
game time decision for tomorrow Game seven Sunday versus Indiana
and that winner advancing. But there is some more encouraging

(26:19):
news for Knicks fans and that is forward oj on
Anobi hamstring issue has been upgraded to questionable. He's going
to go through shoot around to see how he feels
before Game seven. He might be able to go. Hasn't
been able to go since the second game of that series.
And lastly, Moncey and Steve Caitlyn Clark throwing down twenty

(26:39):
two points for the Indiana Fever, but it wasn't a
loss on the road against the Liberty and the Fever
oh and three Kaitlyn Clark, Monsie and Steve. She can score,
she can do just about everything. But there's not five
of her on the court.

Speaker 1 (26:52):
There is not.

Speaker 3 (26:53):
Yes, I don't know if you watched any I watched
the first half of that game, and it was like varsity.

Speaker 1 (26:57):
Playing the freshman team. Yeah, it really was.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
We're going to have plenty to talk about when it
comes to the Caitlin Clark start. And look, it hasn't
gone well. Obviously our team is awful. They're zero to three.
They lost the second game by thirty six points since
she only had nine points. Yeah, but there's a different
level to this story that we'll get into.

Speaker 8 (27:18):
That's called a radio teas that is as professional.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
Well, you know, I've been at this one like he's
been doing this since we've been alive. But he has
an age since we were born.

Speaker 2 (27:27):
Literally that's that's uh. But stories like these can age
me very quickly.

Speaker 6 (27:32):
Uh, be fan.

Speaker 2 (27:34):
Great stuff man, As always, we appreciate it. Once again,
we are here on Fox Sports Saturday, Steve Hartman and
Montcy Bolanos. We're coming to live from the Tirak dot
Com studios. I want to get into this Harrison Bucker, Okay,
and this is what I'm going to say about it. Okay,
Harrison Bucker made a speech He's Catholic at a Catholic college,

(28:00):
small group college there, and the reception of those that
were at the graduation ceremony was very positive. In other words,
he was sort of speaking the gospel, but obviously it
didn't sit well with a lot of outsiders.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
And my only.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
Feeling about this situation is always this, and this is
someone that talks for a living. You know, when I
think back when I first started radio, and by the way,
I posted today on my Twitter account, my ex account,
about it's twenty eight years ago today that my original

(28:43):
loose Cannon partner, the legendary producer director of Monday Night Football,
Chip forty, passed away. I'm beginning a lot of reaction.
A lot of people still around, they'll remember those early days.
But I remember thinking about, you know, what can you say?
What can't you say? And the one thing I'm really
really against is the idea of a cancel culture. And

(29:05):
I say that just because I do believe that within reason,
I'm not talking about promoting violence or something along those lines.
But if you have beliefs that are not in tune
with what I believe, you still have the right to
say them. And some of the people that've been calling
out Harrison Bucker and I was sort of tongue in
cheek joking there with Adam Kaplan.

Speaker 1 (29:26):
Has he been expelled from the league.

Speaker 2 (29:28):
By the way, the Chief's family ownership, the Hunt family,
they're in full support of Harrison Bucker in their world.
He does speak the Gospel. That's how they believe things
should be, and that's okay. Also, it doesn't mean, well, gee,
I'm never going to watch a Chiefs game again. But

(29:50):
there is an added group of fans that have suddenly
latched onto the Kansas City Chiefs, and those are fans
of Taylor Swift. Yeah, so I want to get I've
said my piece, you know, like I say, whether I
agree or disagree with what anybody says, I really do
not care what athletes say. I don't care about their

(30:12):
sexual orientation. I don't care about anything other than watching
them as athletes. They have the right to say whatever
they want to say as long as it doesn't promote
some sort of violence, and as simple as that, I
just don't care. I'm old school. I like to watch games.
I'm not thinking if Harrison Bucker is lining up for

(30:32):
a game winning field goal. Am I betting against someone? Well,
if I'm betting on the other team, yeah, probably miss,
miss miss. But it doesn't have any impact as far
as I'm concerned in terms of how I view an athlete.
I've said my piece. I know Mansie's ready to speak
on this, so go right ahead.

Speaker 3 (30:51):
So one of the things obviously is like, you're not
affected because you're not a woman, right, So women topics,
it's like, in the words of Rachel Green and Friends,
no uterus, no opinion. Okay, So I stand by that
when it comes to certain topics, I do not agree
one bit that we as women have been diabolically lied
to about what my purpose in life is. I could

(31:14):
not disagree with Harrison butker Moore, I don't have kids.
I don't intend to have kids. That has never been
something I've been wanting to do. Could not disagree more.
Do I think the guy needs to lose his job?

Speaker 9 (31:25):
No?

Speaker 1 (31:26):
Absolutely not. Like you said, he's Catholic.

Speaker 3 (31:30):
He believes that he was speaking at a Catholic school
where a lot of people feel that way. I went
to Catholic school my entire childhood up until eighth grade.

Speaker 1 (31:41):
I am not a very religious person.

Speaker 3 (31:43):
My mom says the Rosary every single day, but I
am not a very religious person. I learned a lot,
and to me, you know, if religion helps you be
a better person, than by all means, please be religious.

Speaker 1 (31:54):
It is just not for me.

Speaker 3 (31:55):
And I could not disagree more with Harrison Bucker and
what he said about women. But that doesn't mean he
can't feel that way. A lot of people feel that way.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
Now.

Speaker 3 (32:05):
I am surprised that this speech was approved unless he
didn't read it. I hope somebody would have told him, like,
you can say whatever you want, this just might cause
a stir.

Speaker 1 (32:14):
I wonder if he was told that and if he
was aware that it could have caused a stir. Again,
I don't think he should lose his job, because, you
know what, I'm not dating the guy. I don't care.

Speaker 3 (32:24):
He's like, I'm gonna go have his kids and he
wants me to stay at home, So I truly don't
care in that aspect. But as a woman, hearing that
if you have no idea how many times I've been
told that I need to have women, I need to
have babies because that's my purpose in life, and I
just look at them and smile, and you know, roll
my eyes and say, well, that's not what I want

(32:44):
to do.

Speaker 1 (32:45):
It's something we hear a lot, and it's annoying, is
what it is. But go ahead.

Speaker 3 (32:50):
You want to believe that you have a wife that
is a stay at home good for you.

Speaker 1 (32:53):
Look at you. You've made it work. You've made it work.
I could not believe the uproar I saw.

Speaker 3 (32:59):
About him losing his job over this, really, And it's
just because religion is such a touchy subject and even Catholics,
like you see on social media, people are like, I'm Catholic,
but that's wrong, and it's just such a.

Speaker 1 (33:13):
Split, honest, a split.

Speaker 3 (33:17):
There's such a divide when it comes to religion, even
if you are Catholic and someone else's Catholic. It's just
different for everybody nowadays. The way you want to preach,
in the way you want to believe is different.

Speaker 1 (33:28):
Yeah, I don't disagree.

Speaker 3 (33:29):
I don't disagree with what you said that like, it
shouldn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
He shouldn't be losing his job.

Speaker 3 (33:34):
But I one hundred percent disagree with what he said
about women.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
If you choose to have children, yes, whether you're a
woman or a man, your children should be a priority.

Speaker 1 (33:49):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (33:49):
I mean, if you're talking about a priority for a mother, well,
there's an equal priority for a father.

Speaker 1 (33:56):
Correct. And did he say that? Did he say women,
you're supposed to be.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
He said the role of the wife of mother. And
I'm thinking of myself.

Speaker 3 (34:04):
Mouth needs to provide so that a woman can't stay
home and be a stay at home mom but comfortably.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
Just being a provider is not enough. No, it's not.
You need to be a father.

Speaker 2 (34:13):
If I choose to be a father, be a father, agree.
I mean, I was someone that had to work seven
days a week for many many years to allow my
wife to be a stay at home mom. But at
the same time, I couldn't shirk my responsibility as a
father simply because I worked seven days a week. I
made my schedule compatible to spend as much time with

(34:37):
my children as I possibly did. I was a midday
sports radio host for many many years. I was there
in the morning, there in the evening, and then I
did weekend television in the evenings, so I could be
there on Saturday and Sunday mornings for my kids, sporty
events and everything else. I was a perfect father. Far
from it, but at least I realize I have a responsibility.
So again, when we're talking about the response of of

(35:00):
women and their greatest priority is to if you're going
to be a mother, to be a mother, then it
has to hold truth for men as well.

Speaker 1 (35:08):
I agree with that.

Speaker 3 (35:09):
Sorry, I'm laughing because my volleyball teammate just texts me,
I'm glad I'm not going to lose you to volleyball
because you're got pregnant.

Speaker 1 (35:15):
Because he's hearing us now, and I was like, he's right,
I don't intend to get pregnant. I got you, jerk,
no problem. Wow, that's what he just text me.

Speaker 3 (35:23):
If you saw me smiling, he was like, he was like,
why are you smiling about this?

Speaker 1 (35:26):
Sorry? I just saw it on my watch.

Speaker 6 (35:28):
Yeah, I have a.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
Little fall up on the other side in this show.

Speaker 2 (35:30):
I'm not done quite yet because there is that little
extra spin because the chiefs are involved.

Speaker 1 (35:36):
This is Fox Sports Saturday.

Speaker 4 (35:38):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio

Speaker 1 (35:50):
Hi Mary Mack, Yeah, I hear I.

Speaker 3 (35:53):
Haven't heard this song in forever, Mary Mac I was,
I don't know. I decided, Yeah, it's a good one.

Speaker 2 (36:02):
WANTSI Belano is here once again, Fox Sports Saturday. We're
alive from the Tyrak docs Com studios. Thirdbyte Racing has
a new independent regulator HAISA that is implementing comprehensive reforms,
and the sport is combining hands on care with cutting
edge technology to help keep its athletes safe. To learn more,
visits Safety runs First dot Com. That Safety runs First

(36:24):
dot Com. All, yeah, we're we're talking about the Butcker situation.
He's not going anywhere. I mentioned the fact that the
Hunt family are in full support of Harrison Bucker.

Speaker 3 (36:38):
Chris Jones too, Christian's retweeted something about it.

Speaker 2 (36:41):
Okay, so the Chiefs organization is standing behind their kicker.
But what about Taylor Swift. Now Here, here's the thing.
So Taylor Swift, the billionaire self mate, she holds a
lot of weight.

Speaker 6 (37:00):
Mmm.

Speaker 2 (37:02):
And there are times when you're in that kind of
position that people expect you to comment. Remember they were
talking about she should come out and support of a
presidential candidate or she has that kind of weight. Do
you expect Taylor swift to make any comment about the

(37:23):
Bucker situation.

Speaker 3 (37:27):
Should she I really hope she doesn't. That is the
safer bet.

Speaker 1 (37:31):
Do not say, you say safe? Yeah, that's the safer bet.

Speaker 3 (37:35):
Because we just talked about how much of a divide
you're scene here with people who are religious among women.
I read that the women, all a bunch of them,
bought a bunch of Harrison Bucker jerseys and they sold
out women's jerseys. So you can see how divided this is,
how split this is. I don't think there's anything that

(37:55):
she can't say or also, like, why do you want
to get yourself in mom?

Speaker 1 (37:58):
To understand that because of who she is.

Speaker 2 (38:00):
If she was asked a question, are you comfortable with
your boyfriend being a teammate of Harrison Bucker?

Speaker 3 (38:05):
You know I am not on the team, so I
can't really answer that. I'm not the one playing alongside him.
It's a hard thing to deflect, but she should deflect it.
She really should, because they're going to dissect whatever it
is she decides to say.

Speaker 1 (38:20):
And I, you know, I'm.

Speaker 3 (38:21):
Pretty sure she has come out in supportive pro choice,
which is, you know, as a woman, I agree no uterus,
no opinion so unless she's asked about that specifically, because
he addressed that a little bit in his speech, I
feel like she should do her best to sidestep and
not get involved.

Speaker 1 (38:38):
She doesn't need to get involved.

Speaker 2 (38:40):
When Michael Sam was the first openly gay player drafted
into the NFL, this guy was the SEC defensive player
of the year at Missouri and did not go until
the final round of the draft, and that was by
the local team at the time, the Saint Louis Rams.
And even though he had multiple sacks in the preseason,
he got released before the season began. Mm hmm. And

(39:01):
I remember the outcry was simply this from his potential teammates,
they could care less about his sexual preference. What they
did care about was the fact they were constantly being
asked questions about his sexual preference, and if they didn't
come up with the right answer, then all of a sudden,
you're a homophobe, unless you were saying I one hundred

(39:26):
percent support him, as opposed to saying I really don't care. Well,
if you don't care, then that and this is the
same thing that's going to happen with the Chiefs and Bucker.

Speaker 1 (39:38):
This is not going to go away, it's not, and.

Speaker 2 (39:40):
So you will have to say, if you support him
and his views, you're gonna and and believe me, right now,
the NFL is not going to touch this. They made
they made their savement, we're all inclusive and everything else.
But if there's like this universal support of Harrison Bucker
and his views or is right to say things, even

(40:01):
though I think the majority of people say he can
say whatever he wants, there will be a strong enough
faction of people say no, we're done, We're done with
the chiefs. And by the way, how dare you, Taylor
Swift to associate yourself with this organization?

Speaker 3 (40:15):
This is ridiculous, and you're right, and you're right, But
because even saying something like what I said, it's like,
I don't I don't agree at all with what he said,
But at the same time, I don't think you should
lose his job. I don't think that would be a
good enough answer if someone like Taylor Swift were to
say that, or even a teammate where they're like, actually
don't agree with what he's saying. My wife works and
has a career and still has kids.

Speaker 1 (40:36):
But you know, he can say whatever he wants.

Speaker 3 (40:37):
It's like people are not going to be satisfied with
that answer for anyone that is directly connected to the chiefs.

Speaker 2 (40:42):
All right, coming up on the other side. Yes, it's
the elephant in the room, so to speak. Caitlin Clark's
debut on the WNBA. This is Fox Sports Saturday. Rolling
along here on a busy sports Saturday. This is Fox
Sports Saturday. We are broadcasting live from the tierraq dot
com studios. Tim, We're gonna help get you there, and
I matched selection fast ree shipping, free road acid protection,

(41:05):
over ten thousand recommended installers, tire rack dot com, the
way tire buying should be. We're coming to the end
here of the third round of the PGA Golf Championship,
the second major of the year. Marikawa and schaffl Air
tied for the lead right now fourteen hundred. Of course,
Marikawa has already won a PGA Championship, and Xander Schafflee,

(41:27):
the Pride of San Diego, has never won a major.
Despite this being in contention in many one name you're
never going to see again on the board in terms
of competing for a major golf championship. Unfortunately, as Tiger Woods,
I'm not quite sure why Tiger continues to go out there.
His body's broken obviously after that serious car accident, and

(41:48):
he's not capable physically a plane in tournaments. I mean,
there's one thing to practice, there's another to actually go
out and compete ait against the best golfers in the world.

Speaker 1 (42:00):
Remember Tiger's forty eight years old.

Speaker 2 (42:02):
Yeah, I mean, these are guys in their prime right now,
in their late twenties, early thirties, and I just don't
see him being like a ceremonial guy.

Speaker 6 (42:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (42:13):
We've talked about this, that he does not look like
the type of guy to just go through the motions.
So as we sit here and we see the decline
every single time he goes out there, I just have
to assume and believe that he thinks he still has
something in him and maybe it's just a challenge where
he's like, I'm going to try this one and see

(42:35):
if I can if I can still do what I
think I can do. That's what I'm guessing that he
thinks he can still do it, because if he didn't
think so, Yeah, he doesn't want to be out there
making a fool out of himself.

Speaker 1 (42:49):
That's not how you want to go out yeah, it
was rough.

Speaker 2 (42:52):
He had two triple bogies yesterday and on those two
holes at least, I'm like, man, I could actually play
like Tiger Woods Skull the sandshot, like I've done that
a million times. All right, I want to switch gears
and talk about Caitlin Clark here, who, by the way,
and had her best game yet in their loss to

(43:14):
the Liberty Liberty three and oh now fever zero to three.
It's not a good basketball team she's on, but after
shooting barely thirty percent in her first two games, she
shot a much more respectable nine to seventeen from the field,
four to ten from three point Land also ASTs. Yeah,
I mean, these are more in tune with some of

(43:35):
the numbers we saw obviously in her historic career at
the University of Iowa.

Speaker 1 (43:42):
Her coach. Now look at it.

Speaker 2 (43:45):
I'm like everybody else, and I've known a lot of
w NBA players over the years, and it's not like
I don't follow the WNBA. I certainly have since it started,
but it's not high on my priority list, and honestly,
Clark's presence in the league doesn't really change that. I mean,
I'm curious to follow her because she's in the news
right now, and it's part of my job to make

(44:07):
sure that you know we're.

Speaker 1 (44:09):
Following what's going on here.

Speaker 2 (44:12):
But as far as Caitlin Clark is concerned in her
game and how it's going to translate into the WNBA,
I'm going to go back to someone that she was
compared to when she broke his record, which was ridiculous,
but broke his record as the all time leading scorer
in Division one NCAA history.

Speaker 1 (44:33):
Talking about pistol Pete Maravich.

Speaker 2 (44:36):
When Pete Marravich came out of LSU averaging forty four
points a game for his career three years with no
three point line, everyone was anxious to see what he
was going to do in the NBA. It was a
very different game. And you know what happened when he
got into the NBA because he signed a huge contract

(44:58):
with the Atlanta Hawks. There's jealousies.

Speaker 1 (45:02):
Also.

Speaker 2 (45:03):
He was a white player in a predominantly black league
even back then, and it didn't sit well with a
lot of people that he was getting all this attention,
not just on the outside, the inside as well, and
he was shut out in a lot of ways, prevented
from playing his game. Pete Marrivich was a showman. He

(45:30):
was a guy that didn't just score a lot of points.
He had a style, and of course he played for
his father in college, so his father let him do
his thing.

Speaker 1 (45:40):
But he got into the NBA and.

Speaker 2 (45:41):
They're like, no, no, no, no, no no no, that's not
the way we do things here. And it disappointed fans
because they wanted to see that Pete Marrivich and they
didn't get to see it until he ended up in
New Orleans and then they stepped back and said, Pete,
you do your thing, and all of a sudden, he's
first team All NBA. He's the All Star that everyone

(46:02):
thought he was going to be when he originally went
to LA Hawks. My warning to this coach who's already
on record saying that she has said the idea of
Caitlin Clark holding the ball, deciding you know what she's
gonna do, or setting.

Speaker 1 (46:16):
Up her shot, that's not gonna happen here.

Speaker 2 (46:17):
You ap point five seconds to make a decision either
shoot or pass. And I'm thinking to myself, if I'm
the WNBA, I'm telling her, if you want to keep
your job.

Speaker 1 (46:28):
This is a bad team.

Speaker 2 (46:29):
We don't have we don't have to make an excuse
to fire you based on this own three record. You
let her do her thing, so even if you're losing.
This is like when Kobe Bryant was scoring eighty one
points on a bad Laker team. He was giving the
Lakers what they wanted. They're not a good team, so
let Kobe go off. That would be my suggestion to

(46:50):
this coach before she gets fired, before the season gets
even rougher.

Speaker 1 (46:54):
Than it's already.

Speaker 2 (46:55):
Let Caitlin Clark do her thing. But her teammates have
to buy into that as well.

Speaker 1 (47:02):
Yeah, there's so many layers to this.

Speaker 3 (47:04):
I love the Kobe comparison because you're right, people are
going to watch her. They want to see the Caitlin
Clark we just saw at Iowa.

Speaker 1 (47:13):
Let her do her especially because the fever is not good.

Speaker 3 (47:17):
It's not like she's coming in and going to disrupt
something that you have created that is already working. You
head back to back number one overall picks for a reason.
Your team is not good. So she's not disrupting anything.
Why don't you let her be her and then find
a middle ground as you continue on with the season.
But to just completely strip her away from what she knows,

(47:39):
what she was successful at. It is a question mark.
It is a question mark. There's a lot of question
marks though I have this team watching them. I watched
the first half intently today against the Liberty, which is
a stacked team. But in the first quarter you could
immediately immediately see the difference in the way the Fever
versus the Liberty protect the ball. Like the Liberty were

(48:01):
on that ball like it was the last play they
were ever gonna play. But the Fever were inbounding the
ball half fast and guess what, there they were stealing
the ball the Liberty Like it just looked like a
freshman team playing a varsity team. With the littlest of discipline,
you could be a better team. But that's what they're lacking. Discipline.
And like you said, the role players need to also

(48:23):
know their role and you have to be willing to
accept it.

Speaker 1 (48:27):
But you said it jealousy, which is what I've been saying,
is the beginning.

Speaker 3 (48:31):
There's a lot of jealousy here when it comes to
Caitlin Clark because these women don't I don't blame them
for being jealous, Styeve, I really do not blame them
you have been trying to put the WNBA women's basketball
on the map. You tried to make it a topic
of conversation, and for years you've been told no, years,
years and years. And then here's this girl who, in
the last what two years, completely revolutionized women's basketball.

Speaker 1 (48:55):
Why everybody's like, why her? Why not me? I was
better than her.

Speaker 3 (49:00):
I did this, I won national championships. So I don't blame.
I really do not blame the jealousy. I think it's
very natural. I just hope it doesn't last as long
as you know years.

Speaker 1 (49:13):
Most people you know, hold on to grudges and are
jealous for years. I hope it doesn't happen like that.

Speaker 2 (49:17):
Here's the problem they have. You have this very small
window of opportunity. Yes, you do to have eyeballs on
the WNBA. If she goes halfway through the season and
the Fever's only won a couple of games and her
numbers are not good, any of those fringe viewers that

(49:41):
only watch because of her presence will turn it off. Yeah,
and so you have this very very and this was
a perfect opportunity because the WNBA season started so soon
after her, so there wasn't a long.

Speaker 1 (49:57):
Layoffs like oh wow, she's better. This is it.

Speaker 2 (50:00):
You're getting eyeballs out there and this is not helping
you at all. If her star power fades quickly, because again,
she can raise the star power of everyone. Brianna Stewart
is one of the greatest women basketball players of all time.

(50:21):
She was a four time national champion at Yukon and
was the MOP of four final fours. No man or
woman's done that except her. And obviously she's been a
big star ever since she got into the WNBA. We've
seen her already twice against Kaitlyn d Clark. She's at
a different level because she's a veteran. This is an
opportunity not just to showcase Kaitlyn Clark. It's an opportunity

(50:43):
to showcase your league. But you've got to let Caitlyn
Clark do what she does best.

Speaker 3 (50:50):
Yeah, because if the Fever are losing, but Caitlyn Clark
is still putting on a show, it is still a success.

Speaker 1 (50:56):
She has to put on a show. She has to
put on a show.

Speaker 3 (50:58):
Now, if she is not putting on a show and
you're not letting her play, and then you're still losing,
that's when people are gonna turn the channel off. And
even in the first two games, like you mentioned, she
had nine points in the last blowout. I read that
the ticket prices were already going down already, But I
did look into originally the Fever and the Sparks, We're

(51:18):
gonna play at Long Beach State. I think it was
because they were wondering if the Clippers and the Lakers
were gonna play at Crypto for the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (51:24):
Jokes on all of us, because the Clippers and Lakers both.

Speaker 3 (51:26):
Suck, so they have moved the team back or the
game back to Crypto. And I looked into tickets and
I sent some text out to Iowa Sam one of them.

Speaker 1 (51:35):
Now, I was like, hey, tickets went down, not a lot,
but now you.

Speaker 3 (51:38):
Can get a good seat for like one hundred bucks
at Crypto to watch Sparks in Indiana Fever, to get
your foot in the door, sitting in the nosebleeds and
forty dollars.

Speaker 1 (51:45):
I ain't gonna do that.

Speaker 3 (51:46):
If I'm gonna go, I'm gonna sit in a spot
where I gonna actually see Kale and Clark, you know,
do some damage. And I want to see Cameron bring
for the Sparks who played at Stanford. So see if
I can get there, it's this Friday.

Speaker 1 (51:56):
You want to go with me? All right?

Speaker 3 (51:57):
Listen, The point is that the tickets appair only actually
went down a little bit after her first two games,
But I bet you maybe after today because she wasn't terrible.

Speaker 1 (52:06):
I mean, she has to win.

Speaker 2 (52:08):
Look, you should have put the cupcakes at the front
of the schedule of the Fever.

Speaker 1 (52:12):
There's a reason they had the first pick in the draft.
They were the worst team in the league back to
back years, back to back years, beg years.

Speaker 2 (52:18):
So look at the schedules that you needed to start
their season against the worst possible teams. So at the
very least you could carry some of the momentum where
she goes off for thirty five points and knocks down
nine threes against a really bad team. No one would
know the difference because they're not watching the WNBA. What

(52:38):
they're seeing now is Wow, she's not like even the
one of the three or four best players on the court. Yeah,
much less this legendary changing the whole dynamic of women's basketball.
So this has been mismanaged by the Fever. It's been
mismanaged by the WNBA. They make this big noise that
you know, after twenty five years, the women are finally

(53:00):
flying charter. Yeah, like we're coming off our most watched
season of all time. You're still losing money. Yeah, this
is your golden opportunity. So they got to get this
thing right quick, yes, or otherwise this may be the
last time we ever talk about Caitlin Clark.

Speaker 1 (53:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (53:19):
So obviously the scheduler as something we can do about it.
But I agree with you, there are still time to
make this work.

Speaker 1 (53:26):
And it starts with the fever. It starts with the
approach of the coach. And I'm with you, like, you've
got to take advantage.

Speaker 3 (53:33):
You have got to take advantage, and you have to
take advantage right now while the iron is hot.

Speaker 1 (53:37):
Not in two months. It'll be too late. It'll be
too late.

Speaker 2 (53:41):
Thirdbe Racing has a new independent regulator HAISA that is
implementing comprehensive reforms, and the sport is combining hands on
care with cutting edge technology to help keep its athletes safe.

Safety First runs dot Com. All right, we're gonna get
back to the NBA player. Can the Mavericks take out

(54:03):
OKAC and advance to the Western Conference Finals. Will they
fulfill the destiny that was predicted by Monty Belongas a
week ago before anybody else out on the led saying
the Dallas Mavericks will be crown NBA champions.

Speaker 1 (54:19):
We'll break it down. This is Fox Sports Saturday.

Speaker 2 (54:22):

(54:44):
we get off the air. All right, we're going to
get back to the NBA.

Speaker 6 (54:47):
Now.

Speaker 2 (54:48):
We got a playoff game tonight, Mavericks trying to close
out their series against the Thunder and Jordas. Right now,
is he so graciously does every single Saturday here on
Fox Sports Saturday is our NBA Insider market mark. Before
we get to tonight's matchup, I'm going to skip ahead
to one of the games tomorrow, two game sevens, which
are always exciting. I'm talking about the Nuggets and the Timberwolves,

(55:11):
and the way the Nuggets mailed in Game six with
the idea that while we'll be home for Game seven
all season long, and coach Malone has talked about this,
this team wants to show up whenever they want to
show up. You know, when they've had some marquee games,
they have played well when their backs are against the wall,
like they were by losing the first two games of
this series at home, they come back with the two

(55:33):
road wins.

Speaker 1 (55:35):
Are they Are they playing with fire here or.

Speaker 2 (55:38):
Do you fully expect the Nuggets to close out this
series at home tomorrow against the Tea Wolves.

Speaker 9 (55:44):
Well, I think the Nuggets are totally playing with fire
because on top of the fact that the Timberwolves are
a really good team. Yeah, there's questions about Jamoro Murray's health.
I mean, he did not shoot the ball well in
Game six because of some issues with his right elbow.
And now you know, he did tell reporters after Game
of four practice on Saturday that he feels great. But
the Timberwolves, they are not afraid a lot of their

(56:06):
you know, reasons why it got to this point to
begin with was the fact that Mike Conley was out
and the fact that the Nuggets play their best when
they are challenged. So I do expect that the Nuggets
do that, but they're going to have to anticipate that
Minnesota is going to give its best shot too, because
I think it was very clear entering the playoffs talking
to people around the organization that even though this team

(56:28):
was young, it didn't feel overwhelmed at all. Number one
and number two, there was no feeling that they're just
happy with stating in the first round or second round.
They're on a mission to try to win an NBA championship.
And I think you know those words in that rhetoric,
you've seen that what that means with just how they
play on the floor with Anthony Edwards, Karl, Anthony Towns,

(56:48):
and Mike Conley usually playing at a pretty high level.

Speaker 1 (56:51):
Hi, Mark, I forgot to respond to your text. Blame
my iWatch.

Speaker 3 (56:55):
When a text comes up on my eye watch, if
I'm doing something for you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (57:00):
I mean, on my phone it.

Speaker 3 (57:00):
Comes up as red and then literally I was like, oh, Mark,
text me, and I clearly ignored it.

Speaker 1 (57:05):
Blame the I watch. Yeah, yeah, yeah, blame the watch. No, seriously.

Speaker 3 (57:10):
Game seven tomorrow also between the Knicks and the Pacers.
You know, I know the Pacers were a very high
scoring team throughout the regular season, but I did not
anticipate them going to seven games with the Knicks.

Speaker 1 (57:23):
They seem to be on a better role.

Speaker 3 (57:25):
I know, the Knicks going through injuries. Jaylen Brunson missed
his first what eight shots in the last game. Do
you give the edge right now to Indiana playing Game
seven at home coming off a win?

Speaker 1 (57:37):
Are they just in a better groove right now?

Speaker 9 (57:41):
I would say they're only in a better position because
the Knicks, you know, they're injured. You know they're they're
filling up the training room pretty pretty drastically drastically here.
And you know, I know that there are hopes that
Ogion Andobi and Josh Bart can make it a go
for Game seven, because this is very important. But the

(58:01):
reality is, even if those two are playing, they're not
going to be fully healthy. Number one, number two, Julius
Randall and Mitchell Robinson, vog Dog Vondanovich are out. But
I do give the edge to the Knicks because I
feel like Jalen Brunson. He can come back from a
poor shooting night. He's shown that he's capable of having
those high scoring outbursts. And it's just something about this

(58:25):
Knicks team where even though it's a collection of role players,
they play a lot better than their collective parts. And
the pacers, Yes, they play well as a team, have
a high powered offense, huge tyres Haliburton fan, but they
don't defend consistently in a high level. And I think
that their effort and their execution has really been reactionary
to responding to blowout losses. Where the Knicks ever spoted

(58:48):
a blowout losses because they've just been undermanned and they
shouldn't even be in such a competitive series in the
first place.

Speaker 2 (58:55):
So being acknowledged is one of the worst prognosticators of
all time, speaking of yours, truly, almost all my picks
are guarantee you. In fact, it's been so legendary over
the years, Mark about my bad picks. People hotly race
to the betting window as soon as I do come out,
especially with a lock like the Lockmaster, they know that
it's going to go the other way. However, Moncy, she

(59:18):
was so bold to say that she was picking the
Mavericks not just to win this series against the Thunder,
but to win it all and then they go on
the road against OKAC and get the big victory. So
I don't know if she's no stra damis over here,
But are you getting the same sense of dare I

(59:38):
say invincibility with this Mavericks team playing at home today
trying to close out this series against OKC, could they
be the team that ultimately hoist the O'Brien Trophy.

Speaker 9 (59:51):
Well, two things here, Steve probably hard to match anything
that Monty's predicting. She's gonna always be out on top.
But you know, dude, the George Costanz around, like, do
the opposite of what you think you would normally do,
and that's probably going to be the right pick. The
second part to the you know more seriously what you're
asking about the Mavericks. I don't think they're invincible because
Luka Doncris hasn't been one hundred percent. You know, they

(01:00:14):
have some weaknesses on their team. But I think that
they have overachieved so far in the playoffs, and they
have shown that their identity is much different than what
we've become accustomed to the MAVs in previous postseasons where
it's about the Luca Dodgers show and nothing more, nothing less.
He doesn't have enough help, the team doesn't defend at

(01:00:34):
a high level. And here this season we've seen Kyrie
Irving be a really good partner with Luka Doncris being
that one two punch, that star player. We know that
Kyrie Irving can be, and they also have a much
greater supporting cast. I think PJ. Washington and Derek Wively
most notably, have been really great two way players, and
so I do give the edge against them against Oklahoma City.

(01:00:56):
I'm a shay Gojes Alexander fan. He's an MVP Canni
for reason. But when you look at chet Holmgren and
Jail Willing specifically, they haven't produced consistently in the series
that I think the Mavericks are going to advance. I
want to put them as the favorite, though, to win
it outright, or even get to the NBA Finals out
of the West, because I just feel like Minnesota's playing

(01:01:18):
at a better level as is Denver. But you know,
Dallas has shown that they're more than capable of proving
people wrong, including myself.

Speaker 3 (01:01:26):
Mark I literally mentioned the same two players to Steve PJ.

Speaker 1 (01:01:29):
Washington and Derek Lively. I was give the credit.

Speaker 3 (01:01:32):
It's not the fact that Kyrie and Luca are playing well,
because they really haven't played their best every single game
and Luca is injured. Speaking of that, having an extra
day off, we can only expect Luca to be better
for Game six, you.

Speaker 9 (01:01:49):
Know, without a doubt. I think any day that he
gets as an added bonus, he allows him time to heal.
And I think what Luca has shown two things. One,
there's a difference between being hurt and being injured. He's
hurt right now, he can still play through it. And two,
I think that he has impressed a lot of people
around the NBA ever since he entered the league, not

(01:02:11):
just with his talent, but he has this old school
soul in him that he's able to play through a
lot of pain. So I suspect that he'll be a
lot healthier, But even if there's some lingering ailments and discomfort,
he'll be able to navigate through him. Because of how
high stakes of the game.

Speaker 1 (01:02:27):
This is ultimately anything going to slow down the Celtics train.

Speaker 9 (01:02:32):
Well, we don't know about Christoph Porzingis. I think that's
a huge concern. Longer that they advance in the playoffs,
presumably it's going to be a tougher route. But I
don't think that the Celtics would lose to the Knicks
or the Pacers in a playoff series, assuming that at
least Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown are on board, because

(01:02:52):
the separation and talent depth still there. But I don't
think that the Celtics are going to be are going
to win the NBA Championship regardless of who they face
in the West, because I think all those four tuns
of those teams that we've talked about Dallas, Oklahoma City, Denver, Minnesota,
we've seen that they've been more consistent and they play
up to their competition. Where you know, Boston. They have

(01:03:15):
a lot of talent, they have a lot of depth,
but I think at some point if they play with
their two food too much, it'll wind up costing them
in the long run.

Speaker 1 (01:03:23):
There's no guessing game here.

Speaker 2 (01:03:24):
Once you already said it, it's the Dallas Mavericks will
beat the Celtics in the NBA Finals. Yeah, I mean
were you are just playing with this thing right now?
It's fain to complete. Mark is always great stuff. We
appreciate it. We'll check in with you next week.

Speaker 9 (01:03:38):
Already, sounds like a plan. I appreciate you, guys.

Speaker 1 (01:03:40):
That's Mark Mendina, our NBA insider. There.

Speaker 2 (01:03:43):
Pretty amazing how you pick the Mavericks and then they
go on the road. Now they got to close it
out tonight. They don't want a Game seven on the road.

Speaker 1 (01:03:52):
They don't want to play with fire like that. They
really don't.

Speaker 2 (01:03:54):
Because they've already beaten OKC twice on their home court.

Speaker 1 (01:03:59):
Yeah three times.

Speaker 3 (01:04:00):
It's you're you're right, not in their favor if they
go to a Game seven, and I don't think it's
gonna happen. Luca has been to the Conference of My
Finals already. The experience is there, Hyrie, experience is there.

Speaker 2 (01:04:15):
Well, he had a game money shot in Game seven
on the road.

Speaker 3 (01:04:19):
No less, Yes, like the experience is definitely on the
MAVs side, and I think I think they wrap it
up today.

Speaker 2 (01:04:26):
We'll see how that works out. Let's find out what
is trending right now. Be fin is been hanging out today.
It's great to see you today. Is this the last
time we're going to see you in a while. I
don't know about your many assignments.

Speaker 8 (01:04:38):
Well yeah, I mean I am going to Saint Louis
on Monday for to call it tennis tournament.

Speaker 1 (01:04:43):
Look at you.

Speaker 3 (01:04:44):
Can I be like an intern for you on one
of these troops, like your assistant.

Speaker 1 (01:04:47):
Can be your gofer.

Speaker 8 (01:04:48):
You can be my agent okay yeah, yeah, like we
can be agents for one another.

Speaker 1 (01:04:54):
Yes, because I know.

Speaker 8 (01:04:55):
That's what it's all a lot of its relationships.

Speaker 1 (01:04:57):
Yeah, let me be the bad guy for you. Yes, okay, you're.

Speaker 3 (01:05:02):
Just like you can be you know great Brian Findley,
the girl she works with, she's awful, but Brian is amazing.

Speaker 1 (01:05:10):
I could be that for you.

Speaker 8 (01:05:11):
But you know what, if I were to there's a
place for everything. Like the things that I say with
you guys, and that I say with with Jonas Knox,
I would never up some stiff who works on the
on the network. Yeah, I never never heard of them.
I've never heard of them. But like those are the things,
like you know, you pick your place. Like in tennis,
it's it's very etiquette based. They like fluffy wordage to

(01:05:34):
describe things. So it's digging into the source. You try
to tap into the listeners of what they want here
at the network at FSR, what the listeners want in tennis,
and you just kind of play off of that.

Speaker 1 (01:05:45):
How much of a pro you no? Stop it? Stop it?
That is how much of a pupet stop it you
are pro and more.

Speaker 8 (01:05:53):
And I'll tell you what, We're not going to see
a triple Crown winner this year.

Speaker 1 (01:05:58):
We're not. We're not.

Speaker 8 (01:05:59):
Mystic Dan, who the great Andy Furman on a network
he predicted one of the many, like you, Steve, he
rarely gets his picks right right. He went on Jonas
to show I heard about this unbelievable and so the
reason he didn't call in today because he was supposed
to call it in preview the Preakness, which is the
second leg of the Triple Crown today, he didn't because
he was so unsure of his pick. He didn't want

(01:06:19):
to lose the track record. So Mystic Dan finishes second,
sees the Gray finishes first, held on there and d
Wayne Lucas, who turns eighty nine later this year, the
winning horse trainer there. So he's been doing it. That's
his seventh Preakness when crazy wow. Yeah, By the way,
if anybody is scoring at home, what we are also
scoring is the third round has completed the PGA Championship

(01:06:42):
from Louisville and Valhalla Golf Club and it's a two
way tie. A tie atop the leaderboard through fifty four holes.
Colin moriy Kleas Anders Schaffley both at fifteen under. This
coming after Saheitha Gala finished one shot off the pace.
He's at fourteen under. Bryce and d Chambeau. He chipped
in from off the green on the finishing eighteenth hole.
He has two shots off the lead. But it was

(01:07:03):
a sixty two from Shane Lowry moved up twenty five
spots from the beginning of the day to the day's
end and he has two shots off the pace as well.

Speaker 1 (01:07:12):
That sixty two is the lowest.

Speaker 8 (01:07:14):
Single round score in any round of any major, according
to the stats guru in Steve Hartman.

Speaker 2 (01:07:21):
Yeah, I mean, sixty two was done once, and then
all of a sudden we had the two sixty two's
at the local here US Open, and then we had
Shotley doing the round one of this tournament.

Speaker 1 (01:07:34):
And now Shane Lally Montseie.

Speaker 8 (01:07:37):
Did Steve tell you where he just was, Yes, of course,
and that he never left.

Speaker 1 (01:07:43):
Yeah, never left. I'll share that story.

Speaker 8 (01:07:45):
Okay, you have to share that story with America.

Speaker 1 (01:07:47):
Crazy. He is crazy, Kuka Banana he is.

Speaker 8 (01:07:50):
But we love him for it. Yeah, we love him
for his quarks. I'll leave you with this as far
as what's going on in the NBA, because we do
have as you were discussing, that big Game six tonight
with the Mavericks are going to close things out. If
they are able to win, it would be into the
Western Conference Finals for them. They are going to be
hosting in a Game six. The OKC thunder at the
top of the hour is when that one gets underway.
For all of those Knicks apologists out there, there is

(01:08:13):
some hope for you because, yes, as many have said,
the Pacers and Knicks, when they play tomorrow in a
Game seven, winner take, I'll move on to the next round,
the Knicks might not be in the best place.

Speaker 4 (01:08:23):
Well.

Speaker 6 (01:08:23):
We do know that.

Speaker 8 (01:08:24):
Josh Hart, one of their key players, is dealing with
an abdominal strand according to ESPN, but is going to
try to play through the injury in Game seven, which
could also be said for og Onanobi. According to that
same source, he's been dealing with a hamstring problem has
been upgraded to questionable and it's likely to go through
shoot around to see if he's able to go. Lastly,

(01:08:46):
Caitlin Clark twenty two points for the Indiana Fever, but
they're now zero to three as they lost on the
road to the New York Liberty. So we did that.
We also had some NBA and with that, let's get
it back to Mont's a Steve who still has a
major story to tell. Montsey, how you are such a

(01:09:06):
nerdy you were saying, I'm beyond me and we love
you for that. I'm beyond belief on this one. Once again,
thank you very much, Beefinn. We're coming alive from the
tirerag dot com studios. So since last weekend, last time
you heard me, I.

Speaker 2 (01:09:20):
Made a trip to Atlanta this week and no, it's
not to see Kirk Cousins people. It was not to
see Kirk Cousins. In fact, my entire stay, I arrived
Monday early afternoon in Atlanta and then left late on Thursday. Yes,
but once I came from the airport to my destination

(01:09:44):
and from my destination back to the airport, I never
left basically half a block. Yeah, the place I went
to visit was the College Football Hall of Fame, which,
by the way, if you're a college football fan, is
a great place to visit.

Speaker 1 (01:10:06):
I never actually went into the Hall of Fame though, No, Yeah,
because you're kogo bananas.

Speaker 2 (01:10:11):
So the reason I was at the College Football Hall
of Fame is they have an archive of more college
football media guides going all the way back into the
fifties than any one place. And so on Tuesday, Wednesday
and Thursday, those three days, from eight am when they

(01:10:36):
opened until five pm when they closed, that's a nine
hour run.

Speaker 1 (01:10:42):
I never left this room.

Speaker 3 (01:10:44):
Yeah, you're crazy, no bathroom break, nothing, absolutely insane.

Speaker 2 (01:10:48):
And I dug through hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of
college football media guiys to extract stats.

Speaker 1 (01:10:57):
Yeah, and what was the stat you walked away with
that you did it already know? Oh, there were some
good ones. Give me a good one. Okay, this is
really going to be sick.

Speaker 6 (01:11:07):
Now.

Speaker 2 (01:11:07):
Now this shows you how extreme I am. I'm opening
a nineteen sixty Stanford football media guide, which amazingly enough,
actually has the play by play of all ten games
they played. And I was researching a specific statu a
specific player by the name of Chris Burford, not Buford.

Speaker 1 (01:11:30):
Burford. He was a great wide receiver and as a
member of the College Football Hall of Fame.

Speaker 2 (01:11:35):
And I had a discrepancy of ten yards on his
season total. Going game by game, I knew which game
I had to find that ten yard discrepancy. And so
as I read through this play by play in this
nineteen sixty Stanford media guide, I knew he had four
catches in the game. It said forty two yards, but
he knew and the number had to be thirty two.

(01:11:56):
And I added up the four catches and it was thirty.
I just got a little bit of a chill right
there just thinking.

Speaker 1 (01:12:03):
About it, you guys. Was the correction was done?

Speaker 2 (01:12:07):
And I closed the book on Chris Burford's game by
game stats for his entire college career at Stanford.

Speaker 1 (01:12:14):
Does just sound like normal behavior? No, not at all,
you crazy, crazy person. And this isn't the only time
you've done this.

Speaker 2 (01:12:22):
So when I'm at the Hall of Fame, there's the curator.
There is a great guy named Ken Stevens. He's been
associated if you watched any of the ESPN College Football
Won Fifty shows, he was interviewed quite a bit because
he's a curator at the Hall of Fame. He's sort
of nutty, like me very much. But everyone else there
keeps looking at me like what are you doing?

Speaker 1 (01:12:40):
Yes, what are you? I mean at the Hall of
Fame They're like what exactly are you doing?

Speaker 3 (01:12:46):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:12:48):
And when I explained, they're like, why, Yeah, what's wrong
with you? Get a life? We all wonder, Yeah, we
all do.

Speaker 2 (01:12:56):
This has been my facet and Bill, you know when
we talk about sports trip, I don't study trivia trivia.

Speaker 1 (01:13:02):
I just Inhale stats And I've been doing this since.

Speaker 2 (01:13:06):
I've been doing this since I was a child. Yeah, no,
seven years old. Crazy, So it never changes.

Speaker 1 (01:13:12):
Yeah, I do you want to be my assistant on this?
I do know?

Speaker 3 (01:13:16):
No, No, I I do not want to be anybody.

Speaker 1 (01:13:20):
I have to do this all by myself. I'll go
with Brian fenty anywhere else.

Speaker 2 (01:13:23):
So I went out to eat well, I ate at
the hotel and breakfast, and then at dinner, I ate
at places that were like walking distance from the place
that was it.

Speaker 3 (01:13:32):
Yeah, and then you had a great time, Like He's
had a smile on this whole time, telling the.

Speaker 1 (01:13:38):
Story everybody time. This is this brings him so much joy.

Speaker 2 (01:13:42):
Eventually I'll be traveling to every single college around the
country to fill in the blanks.

Speaker 1 (01:13:47):
Think of me as an archaeologist. Sure, okay, are you
buying that? No?

Speaker 3 (01:13:52):
The only thing I think that could have made a
better is if you had a glass of wine while
you were reading these.

Speaker 2 (01:13:55):
I did have a glass of wine on Thursday night.
I ate there was a there was a Ruth's Risks.

Speaker 1 (01:14:00):
There you go.

Speaker 2 (01:14:01):
I had a file at I know you wouldn't do that. Now,
I had a wedg salad, which you would have.

Speaker 3 (01:14:05):
No, I don't like blue cheese really. Yeah, it's a
very strong, pungent.

Speaker 2 (01:14:10):
Taste, but it goes well with a steak, I guess.
Then I had a glass of red and it was delicious.

Speaker 1 (01:14:16):
Absolutely, I have a glass of red.

Speaker 6 (01:14:17):
All right.

Speaker 1 (01:14:17):
I know it's alarming. Well, uh, I can't wait to
get back all right. He means that. He means that
it's just so many, so many numbers.

Speaker 3 (01:14:29):
Does this smell different like the papers because they're so old,
like the binders?

Speaker 1 (01:14:33):
Does that have like a smell? Don't give me too
ex stop it, you know what I mean? Stop it alright?
Coming up on the other side, we'll make some bold predictions.

Speaker 2 (01:14:44):
And yes I will actually I will give you my
pick who will win the NBA Championship. This is Fox
Sports Saturday. It's been a party here once again. Steve Harbin,
Mantzi Bolanos, Fox Sports Saturday. We are live from the

(01:15:05):
tire Rock dot Com Studios. Want to thank our crew today,
right Fenley updating us on another busy day in the
sports world. Mary Mack spending the tunes today show time.

Speaker 1 (01:15:22):
Guess who's back again.

Speaker 2 (01:15:23):
She's taking full advantage of her status as a legal adult,
now twenty one years of age.

Speaker 1 (01:15:33):
I have no idea, qui non zero? How do you
really like this? I've heard of Bruno Mars. Yeah, no,
he's he's uh, he's so good. Are you taller than
Bruno Mars. I don't think so. He's like five six
I think five eight No, no, he's not, probably like

(01:15:53):
five to five.

Speaker 3 (01:15:54):
If he's listening to five eight five, he's little. He's little,
but next to me, he'll he'll feel all. So, Bruno Mars,
if you want to meet, we can, And you know, Patrick.

Speaker 1 (01:16:04):
Are brilliant producer. Are you a big Bruno Mars fan? Yeah,
he's great.

Speaker 3 (01:16:09):
I like I do know he's so talented, a natural talent,
like I don't think he's trying to sing, you know
what I mean, A.

Speaker 1 (01:16:17):
Non natural talent that has become a major star. I
can give and I don't, and I don't mean this
in a bad way.

Speaker 3 (01:16:22):
But the Weekend I think has perfected his voice, Like
I think he's trying to sing and has gotten better
over the years. I like The Weekend a lot. But
Bruno Mars, I think he just opens his mouth and
it comes out like this.

Speaker 1 (01:16:34):
You know Bruno Mars because he's all around his talent.
He's great, right doesn't he play instruments? Yeah, he plays guitar.

Speaker 2 (01:16:44):
He's just an all around talent and he's like a
Prince situation, you believe.

Speaker 3 (01:16:48):
With He's not on prince level, he's not touching any
Shapeway him, but on a different level.

Speaker 1 (01:16:54):
He is on a different level. But Bruno Mars is
a is a natural talent, producer, song art, all around,
all around.

Speaker 2 (01:17:01):
Well Mansei is a natural talent because she can boldly
make predictions that actually come through.

Speaker 1 (01:17:07):
Yet I feel like you're trying to jinks me by.

Speaker 2 (01:17:11):
The wait before we get to my final prediction here,
you don't give a prediction I am going to I
promise yourtman.

Speaker 6 (01:17:18):
Tonight we have.

Speaker 2 (01:17:19):
Fury you Sick for the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world. Now,
there was a time when a fight like this would
dominate the airways. Yes, and I remember those days quite well.
And it is hard for me, as a lifelong boxing
fan to acknowledge the fact that boxing has become very

(01:17:43):
much a niche sport.

Speaker 1 (01:17:46):
And the fight is over. By the way, it's over.
It is officially over, and tell you give me the winner.

Speaker 3 (01:17:53):
Alexander Sick defeats Tyson Fury by split decision.

Speaker 1 (01:18:00):
It is over. It is over. So I knew the
fight was going on, I did not know it was
actually ending. No, it's over.

Speaker 2 (01:18:06):
So Fury has his first defeat. Yusik remains undefeated. He graduated,
by the way up from the cruiserweight. I mean he
was giving up some size, significant size to Fury. There
was some questions about Fury's conditioning, but he seemed to
be in pretty good shape for this fight. Here's the
bottom line, though, You know, the whole dynamic of the
heavyweight division changed with the Klutskow brothers, because yeah, so

(01:18:32):
you had these two brothers out of Russia that were
the top two fighters in the world, but they obviously
not fight each other because they were brothers, okay, and
it just seemed to put a stall in the post.
Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, this is now Yu sik is
now the first undisputed heavyweight champion we've had since Lenox Lewis.

Speaker 1 (01:18:57):
Yeah, it's been a long long.

Speaker 2 (01:18:58):
Time, but unfortunately for boxing fans like me, it's it's
barely a footnote these days.

Speaker 1 (01:19:04):
It really is.

Speaker 3 (01:19:05):
I remember watching or growing up and watching my parents
watch a lot of boxing, especially with Oscardela. But you're right,
I feel like boxing is not as big as it
was when I was growing up.

Speaker 1 (01:19:16):
I thought it was a bigger deal.

Speaker 3 (01:19:18):
And now a lot of people are into UFC fighting
and I have a hard time watching UFC fighting.

Speaker 1 (01:19:24):
Just a lot of blood everywhere is hard the floor.

Speaker 6 (01:19:28):
Hawf Air.

Speaker 1 (01:19:29):
I told her a story when I was a ring
announcer for Women's Fear Department. Of course was a ring announcer,
I said that to another fistic fury so good, I
am not going to end the show without a prediction.
I will kick you in the shop. I know you will.
So here it is so I have to I really
like your Dallas pick.

Speaker 2 (01:19:49):
I do, uh, not so much because of Doncic, but
he's got a.

Speaker 1 (01:19:56):
Teammate that, to me, is just a dynamic guy, especially
in the clutch.

Speaker 2 (01:20:00):
That being said, the Dallas Mavericks will not win the
NBA Championship. Ultimately, the NBA Championship will be won by
the Denver Nuggets.

Speaker 1 (01:20:12):
Wow. Yes, the Denver Nuggets as I And the reason
I said.

Speaker 2 (01:20:15):
Remember I had this stat about the MVP's not winning championships.
I had the same stat about Yukon not winning the
Men's Championship US and then they won. So I'm calling
it right now. Denver Nuggets win tomorrow and go on
to win the NBA Championship.

Speaker 1 (01:20:30):
Now, this is Fuckport Saturday.
