I know how you're feeling. But tell me, tell us
how y'all feeling.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Man, LeVar.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
It's almost to the point now man, where clear skies
and palm trees. We need we need uh these taxes
to be lower because we pay for the sunshine and.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
We were really not getting it.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
Let's be honest, we really not getting a long time
now too.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
It's all the time. It ain't sometimes it's all the time.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
Now, So man, y'all, people think about coming to California,
Man y'all might want to think twice.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Man, it ain't what. It ain't what it used to be.

Speaker 5 (02:35):
Used to be massed up, complaining, don't look like shine.
Damn three hundred days out of the year. It's not cold.
It's not cold. It's just not it's like overcast. Just
want to see that that shine, that lust to pop
off your head, that's all you want.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
They not like us, They not like us. They're not
like us.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
We like to be hot out here. I like everybody.
I like that from Cali. I like everybody claiming from Cali.
Now that Kendrick didn't hit him with that, you know
what I mean. I'm from the Berg, so I gotta
still wrap that four one two. But out here quite
so you're transplanting.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Now. You adopted. We adopt you. We adopt you, we
we we welcome you with open arms.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
I appreciate it. Well, I'll tell you good.

Speaker 5 (03:24):
When told me he moved to California, he was a dog.
I don't think I'm coming back. I was like, for real,
he was like dog. I don't think I'm coming back.
And he was, he was, he was being serious.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
Gotta we wait on Youtubelex Come on, man up, man,
don't know about that.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
I mean keep keep uh, keep your residency somewhere else.
But you know, get us spot here though, Come come,
you know, come here for you know, three four months
out of the year. That's what, man, You know what.

Speaker 5 (03:56):
The one thing that that really bothers me about California,
it's like you guys have like a nice looking beach
and everything, but you can't use it.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
The water is always cold. It is cold. It is.

Speaker 5 (04:09):
It is very different from but you got a beach
that you can't use. I mean that's I mean, you can,
you can use it. It's just gonna be a lotokle,
It's just therapeutic. The Pacific is therapeutic water.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
You go in there, it's a plunge.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
You go down into Miami and then places like that.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
You know, it's like bath water, you know, it's a
little different. I don't want the bath water. I don't
want the cold. I need something in between. I need
something right right in the middle, right in between. But
I don't know about water anyway.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Let's let's talk about in between golfing. Uh, y'all's boy,
Scottie Scheffler, man, he's he's made big news. He's he's
he's just what three shots or so out of first
place after getting arrested. All right now, he's the number
one ranked golfer uh in the world.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Right now, you was very.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Arrested in charge with felony assault on a police officer,
reckless driving outside of a PGA championship event.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
The Louisville Metro Police detained him after he reportedly drove
on a median toward the entrance to Valhalla Golf Club
and initially failed to heat an officer's order to stop.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Now.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
Scheffler, who won his second Master's title last month, called
the incident the result of a big misunderstanding.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
I do believe we have some sound, can we can
we hear this sound that way?

Speaker 6 (05:36):
He's just a huge misunderstanding this morning that that'll get resolved,
I think fairly quickly. And yeah, I mean I came
here for a golf tournam and I was I was
driving in this morning, trying to get to my warm
up time and get ready for the round of golf.
You know, I didn't really have an understanding of what
had transpired this morning. And you know, my main focus
after you getting arrested was, you know, wondering if I

(05:57):
could be able to come back out here and play,
and unfortunately I was able to do that. And yeah,
it was nice to put together a solid around today.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
I mean, talk about maintaining your focus. Dude gets arrested.
Now listen, y'all, y'all both know and now there was
an accident with a I want to say a transport bus,
a pedestrian I believe met their demise. So thought some
prayers out to that person and their family. So it

(06:27):
did seem like the stakes were a little higher. But
let's be clear here, while he was driving on his
own to get there. More often than not, when you're
going to an event that is your event, you're a
participant in the event, you get certain liberties that other
people don't. And that might be driving on a median

(06:47):
to get there. That might be having a police escort
that that goes through the traffic ways and the highways
and the back roads and all those things to.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Get you to the facility.

Speaker 3 (07:01):
Do you feel like first reaction that this was handled
the right way by I mean us, not being there.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
I get that we don't know the detailed details.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
Of it, but it just seems like the man was
just trying to go to where was he was supposed
to be to make his tea time.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
Whatever it may be. How y'all look at it.

Speaker 4 (07:20):
Man, when we went number one extremely early, So when
it's extremely early, it's a dark out, and so I
don't know the proto cause when an incident hasn't taken place.
When you say incident, a man lost his life. And
so now the police they're on high alert. And Scheffler
is like, I'm just going to my practice round before

(07:43):
I start to play. So he isn't thinking you don't
drive to work, because that's what he was doing. You
don't drive to work thinking oh man, it's gonna be
a problem, I'm gonna have to detour here, I'm gonna
have to do this.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
You don't do those things. And so I'm sure on
his mind.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
That was the furthest thing from oh it's gonna be
a fatality, it's going to be an accident. So when
he got up there, I'm sure he was like, wait,
what's going on? And with it being dark, I'm sure Okay,
you see the roadblock. You see that, Okay, I'm gonna
just go around, So that probably didn't cross his mind.
The police are on high alert, and so when you
have those two things taking place, I'm sure exactly what

(08:23):
he said a big misunderstanding. Now I don't know if
he was told to stop, he didn't stop. I don't
know all of that, but to me, it looked like
it was as a big misunderstanding. I agree with him.
It will be handled and resolved very soon. It's very
unfortunate to the person that lost his life. He's going

(08:46):
to watch golf and unfortunately was hit by a bus.
Prayers out to his family. But yeah, I'm with cheffalon Is.
It had to be a huge misunderstanding. This has to
be to me, moving forward, any type something like this
does happen and take place, they need to put proto

(09:06):
calls in place to where now they're calling all the
golfers and letting them know or send them a text
message and let them know to avoid these type of
incidents moving forward.

Speaker 5 (09:17):
Yeah, So from what I understand, that happened just basically
right outside the gate of the country club away he
was trying to go in and just like y'all, said.
I mean, he's really just trying to get to his time.
He's probably thinking to himself, all right, you know, those
rules kind of really don't apply to me.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Right now.

Speaker 5 (09:31):
I'm here for a golf tournament. I'm Scotty Shepherd, So
I'm just gonna drive around this, you know, this roadblock
or whatever the case may be. But not knowing that
it was a crime scene. So I think that's what really,
I don't know if it was. We don't know if
it was a crime scene. It definitely was. If somebody
loses their life as a crime.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
Scene, is it a crime? Yes, if you investigated it.

Speaker 5 (09:56):
About it out there laying on the street, the yellow
tape goes up, that's a crime scene.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
Yeah, got a bidle the streak.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
I mean, I ain't now, I don't know that a
crime was committed, but I get it's a it's when
the yellow tape goes up, it's the scene of an accident,
of fatality of an accident. Well, you know, it could
be a technicality. I don't think that it's a crime.

Speaker 5 (10:22):
Well they actually have to go out there and you know,
investigating that is. Whatever that happens is whatever, see what happen.
So you know, nobody can is allowed to go in
that area.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
I was that's very true.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
Now, that's very And I don't know how close Scheffler
was and what he was doing and how he was
trying to basically drove around.

Speaker 5 (10:44):
It is what they're saying when they tried to tell
him he couldn't come through. So he just made it
his own, you know. Judgment called to just say, you
know what, I'm like, what fifty or sixty yards from
the door, it's right outside the country Clubs're gonna drive
around and just going to get a.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
And for what it's worth, as as former guys that
that were in the league and had probably many many
times where security was heavy going to the facility getting
where we were going to go, that's what we do, right,
I mean honestly, like even if it was like even
if a police offer was officer was saying, you got
to stop, you can't, you just kid, so we just

(11:24):
keep going.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
So he just basically told him to stop, and he
just kept going.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
And now I heard he put his hand in the
in the window or whatever I heard.

Speaker 5 (11:33):
So we don't we don't know if the assaulting the
police officer comes from him being in the vehicle or
this guy that really, you know, put his hand on
You know, you don't have to really punch a police
officer to say you assaulted. You can basically put your
hand on them and it's like he was assaulted. So
then somebody comes somebody comes up and says, hey, man,
that's Scotty Shuffler, and the police officer says, well, I

(11:54):
don't care who he is.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
He's going to jail. That's probably exactly what happened.

Speaker 5 (11:59):
That's exactly what he said, I don't care who he is.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
Your ass going to jail.

Speaker 5 (12:05):
Doug well out, he got defout him and everything. Man,
he definitely was not a fan of Scottish Shuffler in
the golf world.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
So you think he had a bet on somebody else
and was trying to.

Speaker 5 (12:18):
Man, he knew who Scotti Scheffler was. Man, come on,
he's number one in that situation.

Speaker 4 (12:23):
How were we gonna handle it the way Scotti Scheffler
handled it if we were in his situation?

Speaker 3 (12:28):
Well, y'all know me though, and plex has seen me
handle police officers and in real time in person.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
I'll give you a super quick example.

Speaker 3 (12:39):
I was standing halfway in a walkway and and halfway
off the walkway while waiting on Plexico to to you know, finish, finish,
signing autographs, shaking hands and kissing babies in downtown Annapolis, Maryland.
And the police officer pools up on me and said,
if you had half a brain, you would either walk

(13:00):
across the walkway or get out of the street. And
I said, sir, my foot is barely in. My foot
is barely at the.

Speaker 5 (13:09):
Walk you had you had one foot on the sidewalk
and one foot like yes set or something yes, yes, yes,
because I had.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
Just turned around to make sure we was all together
whatever I had.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
The cop pulled up on me like I was like,
like I was out there acting.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
Bad, you know, And I looked at him.

Speaker 3 (13:26):
I said, sir, do you realize that the side of
your your vehicle said to protect and to serve. Do
you think that you're protecting or serving me either one
of these two things that you're doing by pulling up
on me and insulting my intellect at my intelligence.

Speaker 2 (13:44):
Level that hey bruh. He looked at me and pulled
off to me.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
I think if you don't, if you don't, if you
don't dismiss them, and you have the conversation with them
ahead of time. I think you're okay. I think if
you just are dismissive and I enough been like f
you cop, you know what I mean? Like, first, I'm
a big time supporter of first first responders. I'll know
that that's just what we do and how we do things.

(14:10):
But for me, it's like I just would have had
the conversation. I would have had the conversation with him,
and if I'd have felt like it was more harassment,
then I would have pointed out why he's it's coming
off as you're not protecting and you're not serving in
the situation, versus just being dismissive towards it and it

(14:31):
seeming like I'm gonna just pull around, you know what
I mean? I would have rolled down the window like
we're a team, Like you're doing your job. I gotta
go do my job, Like what's the best way to
get to where I need to go?

Speaker 2 (14:41):
Like I see something happened, Like what do I need
to do?

Speaker 3 (14:44):
That's how I would have handled it, And depending on
how it goes from there, that's when Scheffler, if you're
asking me, you're the number one golfer in the country,
even if you're not. That's when you get on the
phone and you get on the phone with your people
and you're like, listen, I got a situation here. I
can't get to the greens. You heard what the officer said.
I don't care who he is. He's going to jail,
so it didn't matter who he got on the fight. Well,

(15:05):
I'm saying, before you get to it, before you get
you know, I never think it's that big of a
problem until it is that big of a that is,
you don't assume.

Speaker 5 (15:16):
I would, you know, I would assume if Scotty knew
that this that this uh oh he's actually resolved in
a fatality, he kind of would you know, Yeah, he
would have backed.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
Off a little bit.

Speaker 3 (15:28):
But yeah, absolutely, that's plexico burst. They call him stretched
armstrongs TJ. Hitchman's out of they call him panteen man.
That's right, because he's got great hair. Listen, I'm LaVar Arrington.
We're gonna take a quick break on the other side
of it. Then NFL schedule is out, winners, losers.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
We're going to talk.

Speaker 3 (15:46):
About it all right, But first let me tell you
all about some thoroughbred racing and how it has a
new independent regulator.

Speaker 3 (16:55):
We are allied from tyrack dot com studios. We will
talk about, you know, some insane ticket prices for an
international NFL game doesn't make sense. Well, we'll talk about it,
but right now, let's talk about the winners and the

(17:15):
losers and the announcement of the schedule for the National
Football League.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
We got TJ.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
Hitchman's out of here, we got Plexico burs I, am
LeVar Arrington.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
Guys, what are you guys feeling?

Speaker 3 (17:28):
The schedule release was done in a different way. An
interesting way was it was by kind of like by
part part one, part two type of deal and then
it comes out and it's announcing the games. After looking
at it, I would just say for me, obviously social

(17:49):
media they won because you had so many people paying
attention to the release and where it was going to
come from and who was doing it. I think it's
interesting to how traditional outlets, you know, are are being
viewed and how that's that's being handled. But if I'm
looking at one, I go with with the New York Jets,

(18:10):
I mean the Jets seven standalone broadcast windows over the
first eleven weeks, including week five a contest in London
against the Vikings. So obviously, obviously the decision makers and
the schedule makers are looking at Aaron Rodgers part two

(18:35):
and this New York Jets roster and everything that they
got going on. Maybe the pressure on the GM and
on the head coach plays a part in in the
in the I guess the entertainment value of what the
Jets bring to the table.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
But they're a winner.

Speaker 3 (18:51):
They got a lot of primetime games where you got
guys like the Carolina Panthers that aren't on that list.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
How you guys who? How'd you guys view this?

Speaker 3 (19:01):
I say the Jets are a winner, but could ultimately
end up being a major loser if this season doesn't
go the way it anticipated for having the return of
Aaron Rodd.

Speaker 4 (19:13):
Yeah, does it make them a winner because they have
a bunch of prime time games?

Speaker 2 (19:18):
I mean, the world's gonna be watching to see if
that's good. Yeah, but who are you playing?

Speaker 4 (19:23):
And I want to be a winner when it comes
to winning the games, not the amount of standalone games
that I have. When when you number one, when the
schedule comes out, it's like, oh, this team is a winner,
oldest team. This is why the NFL is the greatest
game in the world. You don't know who's gonna be good,
we assume, but there's always four or five teams.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
Every year, you was like, WHOA, where they come from?

Speaker 4 (19:50):
Now, if we're going to go off of schedule, I'm
gonna look at it from this perspective, the Detroit Lions
playing the Dome. Go look at the Detroit Lions first
fourteen to fifteen games up all inside, pretty much all
of them are inside controlled environment. So you have a

(20:11):
quarterback at Jared Golf that for the most part, the
majority of the season, he's going to be playing elements
where he knows exactly what he's getting. And so to me, Detroit,
regardless of who you play, you won the schedule because

(20:31):
you are not playing outside. You're indoors. They play in Arizona. Oh,
Arizona's hot. They can close the roof, they can open
the roof. Does it really matter. It's that there's no
elements there anyway. And so to me, when I look
at schedules, I like Detroit schedule because they are a
dome team that plays I believe thirteen of their first

(20:52):
fifteen games possibly indoors. When you consider that the Cardinals
can even either open it or.

Speaker 5 (20:59):
Close it, we're talking about Detroit linesman, I won't say
the same thing. You get the lost, they get the
los Angeles Ramsay at home, they get Tampa Bay at home.
They go to Arizona, they get Seattle Seahawks at home.
They go to Dallas, and they get Minnesota at home
and the first six games of the year. And that's possibility.
It's great. It's gonna be great weather in Seattle. So

(21:20):
that's there's no elements. No Seattle goes to Seattle comes
to Detroit. Even That's what I'm saying. So Detroit, the
league is binding to say what you want to say. Oh,
they want the but Detroit, I'll say this the losers
of the twenty twenty four schedules. And no doubt that
Pittsburgh Steelers, who man, I'm looking at the Pittsburgh Steelers yesterday, man,

(21:43):
and they do not play at the Visional Game until
week eleven, week eleven.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
From so eleven on, tell us the schedule, man.

Speaker 5 (21:55):
From week eleven on, they get, they get washed into
at Pittsburgh, they get they go to Baltimore, or they
get Cleveland at home. They get Cincinnati at home, they
get they go to Cleveland, they get the Eagles at home,
and they get the Baltimore Ravens at home. The six
out of the last seven games. And I'm gonna say this,
I looked at the schedules with Cincinnati Bengals schedule a
couple of days ago. By the time that the Pittsburgh

(22:17):
Steelers have one regular season game, the Cincinnati Bengals in
the Baltimore Ravens will have already played twice, so they
will already know where they need to be at. I
don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing,
but I'm looking at it the system from the Stellers position.
So if the Cincinnati Bengals in the Ravens split that series,

(22:40):
if the Steelers do not sweep one of those, then
that's automatically going to be a three way time for
first place. So if the raven if the Ravens, or
the Bengals sweep each other one of those teams, that
means the Steelers will be basically two games behind by
the time they get to weakerd len h two games behind.

(23:02):
But it could be a good thing because you already
know what you're looking at for the rest of the year.
You know whether at the same time you got six
divisional games.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
In seven weeks. I don't think I've ever seen anything
like that.

Speaker 3 (23:16):
You guys this because obviously the Star moves the needle.
Looking at their schedule, they got the Rams week one.
You think they beat the Rams?

Speaker 2 (23:26):
Who the Lions, the Detroit U No, no, of the
Dallas Cowboys. I don't know. I really don't know.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
That's gonna be tough. Do they beat that? And that's
at the Rams. So I'm gonna give the home team
the advantage early.

Speaker 2 (23:40):
I'm going back. I knew because I believe the second
last game.

Speaker 4 (23:43):
The Steelers player Chiefs, second last game, students splayer Chiefs,
Crazy Clay the Chiefs. So in between that, we we're
gonna go ahead and sprinkle you a little. Patrick Mahaws,
I'm sorry to bar go ahead. Well, it's preseason, so
it didn't matter. So let's go regular season. They got
the Browns and Clee England.

Speaker 3 (24:01):
Then they have the Saints, then they have the Ravens,
they have the Giants, then they have the Steelers, then
they have the Lions. They get a bye week, then
they play the Niners, the Falcons, the Eagles, the Texans.

Speaker 4 (24:15):
Man the Cowboys. Can be around five hundred or under
five hundred?

Speaker 2 (24:18):
After that? Do you think so? Yeah? You think so? Yeah?
Do you do you.

Speaker 3 (24:23):
See this being a strong year because this to me
is critical mass year four for for the Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
Do you see yeah, this is this is it? This
is it right, it has to be done this year.
So the first about it.

Speaker 4 (24:38):
First quarter of the season, Brown Saints, I feel like,
I feel like that, Yeah, I feel like, can you
in tow and two? I can Steelers, Lions, forty nine ers.
They'll probably win at most two games one maybe one
that right there put them under five hundred game or so.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
Texans, Like, it's not gonna be easy, but.

Speaker 3 (25:04):
It doesn't seem like it's that crazy of a skill.
It actually seems a tap bit favorable for them to
have a good year.

Speaker 4 (25:13):
The mean that helps the Cowboys will be this when
when you look at it, they for the most part,
outside of playing the AFC North, they have the better
quarterback in almost every single matchup minus Dak and Jared
Golf will be what and what people will take Dak

(25:34):
over Russell Wilson. But the Niners you're gonna take Party
the Falcons. Many may take Kirk Cousins the Eagles, some
will take Hurts.

Speaker 5 (25:44):
C J.

Speaker 2 (25:44):
Stroud like his best bet is when they're Cowboys.

Speaker 4 (25:48):
Best when they play the Commanders, You're not taking a
rookie over Dak Prescott. So when they play Jay and
Daniels and the Commanders, they play Daniel Jones and the Giants.
That's four games and so their division outside of the
Eagles gets them for the most part, probably for victories.
Probably you're going against ricky quarterbacks and for of those games.

(26:09):
So not not rookies, but the way Daniel Jones plays,
many will say it's ricky ish, But the Cowboys this
for Dak, Jerry's showing us this isasy.

Speaker 5 (26:22):
Yeah, you know what, I'm gonna go ahead down to
the f C, to the FC South because I'm picking
the you know, the Houston Texas the win in this division.
And I think there's three games for me that really
stand out for this team and c J stride where
he will be after the end of the season, where
it's all said and done.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
They get Baltimore at home, they go.

Speaker 5 (26:44):
He gets to go back to New York and the
Jets and to redeem himself from last year from the
he got out of the game obviously the weather was
terrible when he ended the game with a concussion, and
he gets to pay the cancy the Chiefs. If there
is a possibility, what it is a possibility that he
takes down Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers. We

(27:08):
will be talking about this young man arguably being probably
the second best quarterback in his league.

Speaker 2 (27:14):
And they can't do it because I believe.

Speaker 5 (27:15):
That Houston Technic is on the rise and they have
this defense and Demico runs really going in the right direction.
So for the Houston Texans, I think this is the
year to see if c. J. Stroud can put together
that second campaign just like he did his rookie year.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
Well, I'll tell you what.

Speaker 3 (27:36):
Another quarterback that has the potential to have an amazing
conversation and season is Caleb Williams. All right, we're going
to talk about Caleb his schedule on the other side
of this update that we're going to get from the
man himself.

Speaker 2 (27:54):
That's right.

Speaker 3 (27:54):
His name is Isaac low and Crown, but the people
that know him, that's we just call him our level.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
What's that about it?

Speaker 8 (28:01):
Thank you so much, LeVar, and good morning fellas. And
our top story continues to be golf. Round three of
the PGA Championship under way. X Andrew Shoffley, the lead
of twelve under par overall, Colin Moore Cowell one shot back,
Scottie Scheffler is three back. They will all tee off
around one thirty Eastern time, about an hour from now now.

(28:22):
Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg said this morning that the detective
who arrested Scotty Scheffler yesterday was either not wearing a
body camera or did not have his body camera turned
on during the incident. Mayor Greenberg, I'm just saying. Mayor

(28:42):
Greenberg said that there was footage of the arrest from
a fixed camera across the street. They'll be released in
the coming days. I will say this when we're talking
about footage camera the whole deal. Yes, you gott imagine
our colleagues at TMZ are are we work at it are?

Speaker 2 (29:02):
Yeah? Yeah, I'll get a hold of they cheffing up
with tape.

Speaker 5 (29:07):
I will che small for a small fee.

Speaker 8 (29:11):
It won't be a small fee, at gonna be small.
I'll also add this footnote tonight there is a brand
new Fresh Saturday Night Live premiering tonight. I know it's
only one day's notice, but they got it. Do a
skit about this.

Speaker 1 (29:30):
Come on for a dollar.

Speaker 8 (29:33):
I mean, I know they're gonna have it on weekend
up date, but they get they have time due to
a whole skit about this Scheffler incident. Anyway, onto apparently
less dramatic matters. The NBA Playoffs. Game six of the
Eastern Conference Finals Friday night saw the Pacers beat the
Knicks one sixteen to one oh three to force a
game seven. There's also a big basketball game today between

(29:54):
Indiana and New York. They are going to be meeting
on the WNBA today at the top of the hour
over the Barkley Center in Brooklyn. It'll be Caitlyn Clark
and the own two Fever visiting the two and oh Liberty.
All right, fellas, take it away.

Speaker 3 (30:08):
Appreciate that Eye Low. That's a great update from you.
And well, it'd be interesting to see because now the
mayor has gotten involved.

Speaker 5 (30:16):
I mean, how does the implication of that Ville, Kentucky
police come on?

Speaker 3 (30:20):
Man, I mean, this is one of the biggest events
that you do. You don't you don't want to leave
a bad taste in people's mouths where they like what
you mean.

Speaker 5 (30:29):
You know, the history of what's been going on with Louisville,
Kentucky police over the last few years.

Speaker 3 (30:34):
I mean, I haven't been up on them. I don't
really attention to Louisville like that, all that Louisville, I said, Rachel,
But you know, you know, Scheffler is white.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
By the way it was, it was kind of a joke.
But police officer I believe is black. That's crazy, right,
Oh well then maybe it did.

Speaker 3 (30:51):
God Lee, I was, hey, you know, I don't know,
I don't care who around he's going down?

Speaker 2 (30:59):
Is he white?

Speaker 8 (31:02):
Well don't I think I saw a photo on Twitter
he was indeed a white police officer.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
He going to jail.

Speaker 4 (31:10):
Yeah, Darlington wasn't Jeff Darlington the udeo I saw it.
I mean it was it was a dark outside, but
it was a it was a black officer that said,
it don't matter, he going to jail.

Speaker 2 (31:21):
One I saw that, sound about right?

Speaker 1 (31:24):
Yeah, Like the one I saw was the officer apparently
like what what's what's the like, what's the police language
they used?

Speaker 8 (31:29):
Attached himself to the back of the vehicle.

Speaker 4 (31:32):
Yes, yeah, make it seem like it was so much
worse time attached himself, Yes, he did.

Speaker 3 (31:37):
He and he was drug off by by the car.
And speaking of dragging off. Can't Caleb Williams drag this
this Chicago Bears team to the playoffs this season?

Speaker 2 (31:49):
Now, like you said about.

Speaker 3 (31:50):
The Steelers earlier, plex uh, Caleb Williams doesn't have a
a divisional game until Week eleven as well. And to
think about this going into that week eleven game that
tilt against the Packers, which is a back to back
against the Vikings, and then triple triple crown deal with

(32:13):
with the Lions after that, and then the forty nine Ers,
which is a brutal It could be a brutal, brutal
stretch because then they have the Vikings again and then
the Lions.

Speaker 2 (32:24):
That could be really bad for them.

Speaker 3 (32:26):
But to start off the year, it seemingly is a
very very opportunistic schedule for Caleb Williams to get into
the mix and be a guy you start off with Tennessee.
He should be able to have a good showing against them.

(32:46):
The Titans, that's going to be a game that'll be
a great matchup to see two young quarterbacks and what
that looks like going into that. I don't know how
that one turns out. But the Colts, I don't know
that I expect much from the Colts the Rams we mentioned,
they could be could be one way or the other.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
They could possibly be a lot better.

Speaker 3 (33:03):
They were kind of sneaky good this past season, just
not up to the good they've been since being the
Super Bowl champs, But that could be an interesting one.
And then he goes up against Bryce Young and that
Panthers Carolina Panthers team. And then he goes up against
Trevor Lawrence and that Jags team before he gets a
bye comes out of that plays against the Commanders Jade

(33:25):
and Daniels.

Speaker 2 (33:26):
So it's gonna be a lot.

Speaker 3 (33:27):
And then he's got Kyler Murray at that and then
obviously going against the Patriots with Drake May seemingly could
be somebody else, could be another quarterback in there as
opposed to May.

Speaker 2 (33:38):
But bro that that seems like a really feasible.

Speaker 3 (33:43):
Stretch of games before it gets brutal for the second
half of the season. It seems like a stretch where
Caleb Williams could actually have this team doing really well
and having great success versus these guys just very quickly.

Speaker 2 (33:58):
Well, you know what we'll do.

Speaker 3 (34:00):
How about this, Let's take a quick break, I'll reset
it and then I'll let y'all answer it on the
other side of this break, because you know what, we're
up on it, and I don't want y'all to shortchange
this answer because I think this is a big one
sit on that first part of the season of what
Caleb Williams has going on. Does he have them in

(34:20):
position to be a contender for the playoffs? Does he
put himself in contention for Rookie of the Year? Does
he have himself in the conversation of MVP of the Year.
We'll tackle that question, those questions and more on the
other side of his break.

Speaker 2 (34:36):
You're listening to Up on Game. It's TJ.

a friend know and you can check it out yourself.
All right, fellas, before we get to the end of
this first hour, we just teased Caleb Williams and his.

Speaker 2 (35:32):
First part of his schedule. All the way up.

Speaker 3 (35:35):
Until week eleven, it seemingly looks as though he has
all winnable games the Titans. He has the Titans at home,
he goes to the Texans, he has on the road
with the Colts. He's got the Rams at home, he's
got the Panthers at home, he's got the Jaguars, and

(35:55):
then he's got to buy before going to meet the
Commanders and then going to play the Cardinals and then
the Patriots at home. It just seems like to me,
I mean, how many of them games do you think
he wins? I mean, I believe the Bears are gonna
make the playoffs. I said that last week, but when

(36:19):
you look at it, if I got a break down
just the first half of the season, I believe they'll
beat the Titans, the louse to the Texans, the Coats
game is up in the air.

Speaker 4 (36:31):
For me, Shane Styken is a hell of a coach man.
The Coats were fighting for the playoffs without their quarterback.
They got better, and so people will start to respect
the Coats and Shane Stikeen because to me, he was.

Speaker 2 (36:50):
He was the engine behind the Eagles offense.

Speaker 4 (36:51):
He leaves, they completely weren't the same offense when he
was OC. And then he goes to Indy. He lose
Anthony Richson, Gardner minchew down there taking to the playoffs,
Gardner Minshew and so I believe he's a hell of
a coach, and so that coach game is not gonna
be easy. And then after that they play the Rams,
and so many believe as I do, the Rams are

(37:12):
gonna be a good team.

Speaker 2 (37:14):
Gonna be a good team. You're not being a homer,
are you? No?

Speaker 3 (37:17):
No, no, they were sneaky good last year. Man be
bad last year and so but they do not have
Aaron Donald this year.

Speaker 4 (37:26):
At best, I see him two and two after four
games that at best. Now I believe they'll beat the Panthers,
the Jacks can be a toss up. They'll beat the Commanders.
But regardless, I see the Bears getting into the playoffs
regardless of how they start, how they gonna make the playoffs.

Speaker 5 (37:42):
Wow, you know what, man, I really don't know I see.
I to be honest with you, you know, you know
we've talked about and you know, we would assume that,
you know, Caleb Williams game is going to you know,
translate and you know, carry over to the NFL, to
the next level. But you know, right now, we just
don't know how good. So I think it all depends on,

(38:03):
you know, how quickly can him and these receivers in
this offense get on the same page.

Speaker 2 (38:08):
I mean, I'm not there's.

Speaker 5 (38:09):
No denying this young man's talent on arm talent as
far as him being being able to throw the football,
his football IQ and all of those things. But we
really just don't know how good Chicago Bears are going
to be defensively. But Teacher, I will say this, I
don't think that Chicago Bears make the playoffs this year
because I believe that that Detroit Lown's is going to

(38:31):
win the division. And it's just nobody is giving my
guy from Green Bay no credit.

Speaker 2 (38:36):
Man.

Speaker 5 (38:37):
I mean, my guy through with thirty two touchdowns last
year sink forty one hundred yards. So are you saying
that you think the Chicago Bears are going to be
a better football team than the Green Bay Packers. I
don't think so, or to Detroit. I just think that. Listen,
if Jordan Love continues to make progress based.

Speaker 2 (38:59):
Off of what we see saw last year.

Speaker 5 (39:03):
Thirty two touchdowns, if he plays better than that, man,
we're talking about a potential MVP candidate, throwing under center,
throwing the football.

Speaker 4 (39:10):
We know the Bears won seven games last year, considering
how they were on offense, they won seven games last.

Speaker 2 (39:15):
Year, right games. I can't just insert Caleb Williams into this.

Speaker 3 (39:21):
Caleb Williams come in and be better than what what
Justin Fields was.

Speaker 5 (39:25):
I believe he will be better than Justin Fields. I
believe that he will be. But I don't think that
they are going to have a better overall record than
the Green Bay Packers will this year trying to get
into the playoffs, I think it's going to be Detroit
winsor division of Green Bay used the wildcard.

Speaker 3 (39:42):
So is there the chance that all three of them
goes to the playoffs?

Speaker 5 (39:45):
Man, we are sitting over here talking about it's a
possibility for the first time.

Speaker 2 (39:50):
They right on here, right now, every team from the.

Speaker 4 (39:56):
NFC North is going to make the playoffs, not every
we know.

Speaker 2 (40:00):
We know. I'm sorry. I'm sorry the North. I'm sorry
the AFC North.

Speaker 5 (40:06):
There's a possibility that all four of these teams could
get into the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (40:11):
Is the North just wear it's at? Huh? Is the
North is just where it's at? The AFC North where
it's at. No, don't.

Speaker 3 (40:19):
But you're saying the NFC North too, Yeah, no, no, no, no,
I spoke, I spoke. I'm not saying that everybody for
the NFC getting.

Speaker 2 (40:30):
No.

Speaker 5 (40:31):
I believe that Minnesota Bank you want to finish dead last,
they probably won't even be five hundred, so they're not
going to make the play offs. But what I will
say is I'm trusting Jordan Love and this offense and
get into the playoffs this year.

Speaker 3 (40:45):
I think that there's a lot riding on Caleb Williams
having tremendous success in the first part of this season.
I think that that's why the schedule plays out the
way that it does. We'll have to wait and see
how that all happens and what what goes on there.
But we'll continue the conversations. We out a lot going
on in hour two. We got Cuffs of Legend coming
up as well, so make sure you stay locked in.
