Plex For me, it's good morning for you, it's good afternoon.
What's going on? Brother? Oh man? This out here, you know,
(01:44):
on the East coast. Man, a little snow this morning,
a little chili other but nevertheless, man, we are here
to entertain and drop some jewels. Put everybody up on
game and uh may ben, let's do what we do.
Hey you, I guess we're similar. We don't have the snow,
but we don't have clear skies at all. Tons of
(02:07):
rain ain't been y'all. Ain't been having clear skies for
a couple of weeks. Now. All week it was good
until yesterday. It was sixty five seventy degrees every day,
and yesterday here comes the rain. And today same as yesterday. Man,
it's been. It's been a little different. I'm not accustomed
to this. I guess this is what everybody goes through
(02:27):
across the country, So now I guess we must experience
it now. Yeah, but it's much need to ring. Y'all
need the ring. Y'all can get out there in California
until we get it and then where everybody is like, man,
while we got all this rain. Big news though in
the National Football League, I was shocked and in I
want to get your perspective. Carolina Panthers, they give up
(02:49):
two first two seconds DJ Moore to trade up to
the number one spot in the draft of the Chicago Bears.
Now this is a two part question. Did they give
up too much to move up to number one? And
who are they drafting? Who the they? We haven't decided
(03:09):
who we're when you give up all of that and
you know who you want. Listen, they've already decided who
they're gonna draft with the first pick. I don't care
who they're drafting of the first pick. At this point,
you give up a number nine pick, you give up
your sixty first pick, you give up your first round
pick in twenty twenty four, second round pick in twenty
(03:30):
twenty five, and you give up DJ more. But you
know he wanted to be He wanted to leave Carolina anyway,
but all paths are leading towards Bryce Young. And we
had this conversation maybe a week or two ago. Listen,
I think, bry I think Bryce Young is a very
good college quarterback. Oh that. I think he's a very
(03:54):
good college quarterback. But what you're asking this young man
to do is basically come into the Carolina Panthers, rebuild
this organization, be the franchise quarterback of this organization, and
completely turn this organization around. He's not Patrick Mahomes or
(04:15):
Joe burrow ish right now. You're basically asking him to
go and go in there and be Cam Newton all
over again. And listen, I believe he's a good quarterback
and he's gonna do some great things in this league.
But I just don't foresee him going in there and
doing the type of things that the Carolina Panthers out
(04:36):
of hoping he's gonna do. But he's a better fit
in Carolina than I believe Chicago. So I blieve Chicago
made the right move by trading to pick because that
because I believe that they're a better team with justin
fields and Bryce Young being in that being in that division,
being in that Weather. Justin fields just fits Chicago Bears better.
(04:59):
But I'm just I'm just a paull that what they
gave up. Who is this young man gonna throw the
ball to? Who is he going to play with? Because
you gave away so many draft picks and pieces, who
is he going to play with an offense? That's what
I don't understand. I think they're putting him in a
bad position to go into Carolina and to basically they're
(05:21):
basically revamping the whole offense, defense, the starting over from scratch.
They blew it up, they're starting over. But for him
to go in and have the success that you want
him to immediately, you gotta give him somebody to play with. Yeah.
First off, I want to give a congratulations to Ryan Paul's,
(05:42):
the general manager of the Chicago Bears, because he walked
right into the bank without a mask, which secty the parting.
He took everything. They received an enormous hall for this,
and he did say we're not trading this before the
draft unless we get something that we cannot turn down.
This was an offer they couldn't refuse. Now, speaking on Carolina,
(06:04):
I'm with you would quite a few points. Who is
Bryce Sean gonna throw the ball too. DJ Moore is
by far and away their best receiver, not even close.
Now he's in Chicago. Oh, we can draft guys and
develop that. Oh we don't even have the draft picks
to do that. So now what's gonna have to happen
(06:24):
is the Carolina Panthers are gonna have to find some
young receivers through free agency or can they get some
veterans via trade. You don't know who they're targeting, but
they are going to have to get better players because
now Bryce Shank is gonna walk in and I also
believe it's gonna be Bryce Shung and I'm gonna find
out on Monday. Hey, Bryce, how you feel? How you
(06:48):
feel about going to Carolina? You like it or not?
I'm gonna ask him. I mean, being around Bryce, he's
just gonna smile and say, yeah, I'll be all right, man,
it's gonna be good. Like that's just his person. He
probably has built off of the players in Alabama that
he hasn't killed ana right now. Probably it's one for
certain that he that he played with better skill guys
(07:10):
at Alabama than he's going to encounter in Carolina. That's
a fact, and maybe at certain points is everywhere running
Jamir Gibbs running back the Panthers. Deontay Forman is a
free agent. You don't know if he's gonna resign. They
just don't have things around a young quarterback that you
would want. And then you give up all that you
(07:32):
give up. But this is the price of doing business.
If you want a supposed franchise quarterback, you have to
give up some things to go get them. And that's
where we differ. I believe Bryce is a franchise quarterback.
I've been on the field with him. I can't even
count how many times when I tell you, this young
man is accurate. I don't care what route you run.
(07:57):
You're not reaching behind you. You're not reaching on that
ball for the most part, is always within the framework
of your body. And we know his receivers. When I
can just break, run, catch, don't have to worry like
very even the deep even the deep balls like we
got guys, I we got ross out here. Everybody know
he can run, and there's running deep balls on Thursday,
(08:20):
I mean everything. Was he actually overthrowing twice? Like he
is just so accurate, so calm understands coverage I mean
you see him now, routes on there. He's looking to
the right, looking to the right, Bam comes back to
the left. I believe he's gonna be successful. I don't
worry about his size because one, he's been this size
(08:40):
in entire life and everybody say, oh dug. But he's
figured out how to play a maneuver in the pocket
and find throwing lanes. Oh the injuries. You can't hit
anybody anyway, plexico. You hit somebody extremely hard, you fall
on him, it's a penalty. It's a forty thirty thousand dollars. Fine. No,
that's the ar Rodgers rule. That doesn't apply to every
well with his size. And see people try to compare
(09:03):
him to Kyler Murray. I don't compare him to Kyler
Murray because Kyler Murray is a lot faster Bryce. To me,
you're not gonna hear these with Bryce. Oh man, he
needs to grow up and be a man. He needs
a bit right out the gate. That's what he is.
So you're not gonna have to worry about always he
a leader or his teammates gonna like him. Him and
(09:26):
C J. Stroud and I've said this, and I've noticed
just just being around him, and this is this is
a gift that they have. They gonna make the fifty
third guy on that roster feel like he's a number
one guy on that roster. And so they're not gonna
have problems with through my teammates like me, I don't
They're not gonna have that problem. My only concern is
(09:48):
who is he going to throw the ball to. That's
my concern. I hope they have a plan. I'm sure
they do, but I'm with you. I believe Bryce Young
will be the pick. I believe the Chicago Bears they
this rebuild it they're going through. They got it. Now.
If if Justin Fields is that guy, they have everything
(10:11):
they need. Now. You brought up Joe Burrow. That's actually
who I compare Bryce. Were like, I don't like it
when you when you get an African Listen, I'm gonna
tell you why. I'm gonna tell you why. Like when
you get an African American quarterback, you always compare him
to another African American quarterback. You get a black quarterback,
you compare him to a black quarterback, you get a white.
Bryce is so accurate. He has great pocket presence. Joe
(10:35):
is really accurate. He has great pocket presence and you
saw that at an LSU, we saw that at Alabama.
That's who I would compare him to. More so that
he doesn't have the size of Joe, but it's a
big ability to move into pocket and find things that
aren't there and get his guys that because he scrambles
to throw, he doesn't scramble to run, And so I
(10:58):
compare him from that aspect his accuracy and its ability
to move in the pocket. I mean, comparing him to
Joe is uh, it's a reach right now, come uh.
For for his first year coming into the NFL, We've
we've witnessed what Joe Burrow has been able to do
over his first you know, three and four years. Man,
(11:19):
just really taking that organization to be one of the
best teams in the league. And I'm just I'm looking
at the Carolina Panthers and who knows they may jump
out the window and take Anthony Richardson. We just don't
know what the Carolina Panthers is going to do. Who
I think he's one of those quarterbacks in the draft
that has the most upside, you know, moving forward. But
(11:43):
for Bryce young, um, you know him better than I do,
and I'm gonna take your word for that. He's he's
a leader of men um. From everything that I've heard,
he's he's a great leader, and that is what the
Carolina was going to need moving forward if they want
to contend in this division, which isn't very good. So
(12:06):
Bryce Young just may be the best quarterback in this
division in this rookie year, better than the Derek car
Hey plex you recognize any of these names? I do,
but listen, Teris Marshall, Junior, Preston Williams, Leaviska ch Rochard Higgins,
Shot Smith, Andre Roberts. Do you recognize any of those names?
(12:28):
Those wide receivers for the Carolina Panthers. Where I recognized
Terriss Marshall because he played at last year. He's a
second round pick Um a few years back. Richard Higgins,
he was a spot player a few years back for
the Cleveland Browns. Levesca Chan was draft Colorado to Jacksonville.
(12:48):
If you're a veteran ride receiver, do you really want
to go to Carolina and play with an unproven rookie quarterback.
If I'm going to be a starter and they are
going to pay me, absolutely I'm telling you now he's
gonna be successful, and you gotta remember we gotta remember
this too. Frank Wright was Indianapolis coach head coach when
(13:12):
they drafted Andrew Luck with the number one pick, so
he's familiar with drafting a rooky number one being a quarterback,
coming in and figuring out they made the playoffs that
y'all believe, they were ten and six, and then the
next year Andrew Luck retired. So Frank Wright, he's done
this before. Obviously different body type, but he must know
(13:34):
that the coach are looking to get a quarterback. So
it's like, let me leave frog my former team. This
is gonna be number one. Interesting to see how plays
out because you don't have the draft picks. I mean
you're literally giving up a lot. But we all know
in about four years, let's look at those draft picks
that Chicago Bears have selected and say, would we have
(13:57):
traded these players for Bryce Shung? A lot of the
times it pans out. And so if Bryce is who
I believe he is and who obviously the Carolina Panthers
believe he's going to be, if it's well worth it, yeah,
we are all saying Bryce, I'm assuming it's Bryce, Yeah,
(14:19):
if they pick him, which I'm almost I find it
hard to believe that we don't know who we want.
We just know we want the guy that we feel
as you know who you want, and I believe that
guy is Bright. I don't believe it's Anthony Richardson because
it's too much of the unknown. You just don't know.
(14:40):
Is he a great athlete? I just don't know because
we haven't seen him playing on the national stage. But
we've seen brush June. I mean Bryce young man. You
watched that game against Texas Man early in the season,
just his change in the place, and he didn't this
year at Alabama. This year he didn't play with the
type of skill guys that he had been accustomed to
(15:03):
his previous year and even his freshman year at Bama,
and he still played extremely well. Heard his shoulder during
the season, missed one game, but battled through that. That
shoulder injury bothered him for a long time because when
he got out here for his training, he wasn't even
throwing the ball for a couple of weeks, so that
shoulder was bothering him pretty much all season. Let's put
(15:24):
on some weight over two hundred pounds and he looked
like he's maintained. I'm I'm excited for him, man, because
to be around him and just to see the type
of person and young man he is. He gonna walk
straight into that locker room garner respect just because of
the way he's gonna treat people. He's gonna treat people
the way they want to be treated, how he wants
him to treat him. And it's gonna be a smooth transition. Now,
(15:45):
if it is CJ. Strout, everything that I just said,
it's the same thing. They're they're different players, different people,
but nonetheless they're leaders. Okay, So if the Carolina Panthers
were to select c. Stride with the first pick, where
does Bryce, young girl, I'm gonna give you two spots.
(16:09):
I'm gonna say he beat the next pick with the
Texans or depending on who moves up or does not
move up the culture the Raiders. Yeah, that makes sense
because Carolina Panthers in the Houston Texans, they need some
franchise quarterback play like two years ago, and you can't
(16:29):
win in this business without stella elite quarterback play. And
I think that's one of the things that that the
Carolina Panthers have witnessed over the past a few years
since the department of Cam Newton. They just haven't been
able to compete in the worst division in football, which
is the NFC South, to even you know, get to
(16:51):
seven or eight wins in the season. So it's definitely
time for them to make a splash with a trade.
Take Bryce Young, hope for the US and hope that
he is your franchise quarterback. He could turn his organization around. Well,
let's see what happens. Obviously, we wish these young fellas
nothing but success. Fox Sports Radio. Up on Game, we
(17:14):
got a great show playing Aaron Rodgers. He's good as gone.
It seems like Man two US fifth year option. We
got legendary moment Man Lamar Jackson. I feel so bad
for that guy. Can't wait to get in that conversation
in that topic. Up on Game. Fox Sports Radio, Plastico Burds,
I'm TJ Houshmizzata Lavarre is spending time with his family.
(17:38):
He'll be back with us next week. Man, stay tuned in.
We'll be right back up on Game. It's indeed, Man,
we hear that music. We know we're coming back. You
know we were on a little little smooth, little smooth
stuff this Saturday, but uh nothingtheless, Welcome back up on
Game Fox Sports Radio once again. I'm TJ. Hushamzada with
(18:01):
my dog Plexico Buris. We're live from the Tirak dot
Com Studios plex Yo. So, as we're going to break,
a tweet is put out and the tweet states, Aaron
(18:22):
Rodgers to the Jets is essentially a done deal. The
two sides have worked out the details. Now hold up.
Now they're just waiting on one thing for Aaron Rodgers
to decide. Aaron Rodgers decision making seems to take a
long time, so if he wants to be a Jet,
it will be up to him. But before we get there,
(18:42):
Mark Mark Murphy has some things to say yesterday on
if they would honor his request for a trade. Is
there a scenario where Aaron is still the starting quarterback
of the Packers next season? Um? Yeah, I mean, unless
things don't work out the way we would want him. Yeah.
Obviously a great player and uh, you know, four time
(19:03):
MVP and uh but you know, I think it's you know,
trying to find uh, you know, what what he wants
and what we want and hopefully we can find a
win win situation. If he requests the trade, will you
honor it? Um? Yeah, oh yeah, we wouldn't. Yeah, okay, yeah.
Hey hey, as a youngsters would say, would you welcoming back? Yeah? Yeah,
(19:25):
yeah yeah, that's cap man, Aaron rod They don't want
Aaron Rodgers back. They want to move on to Jordan Love.
They're fed up with Aaron Rodgers. That's negotiating tactics. Aaron
Rodgers is as good as gone. The question is when
will he make this decision? And if I'm the Jets,
I'm not giving up a first round pick for a
(19:46):
guy that he's sin I'm gonna retire this year, I'm
gonna retire last year, I'm retired next year. I'm not
giving up a first round pick. It has to be
some conditions tides to this on performance games played something
of that nature. Your thoughts, man, Aaron Rodgers got me
over here looking like a food because I've been saying
the whole time, but I thought he was going to
(20:07):
the Las Vegas Raiders to be reunited with Devant Adams
the Jets. Listen, let me tell you this though, Aaron
Rodgers is not coming to the Jets to compete for
a world championship. He's coming because he's an attention junkie
and he wants to be the topic of discussion every
(20:30):
single day in football season in the great in the
Big Apple, the media capital of the world, and just
be talked about day in and day out. Because if
you're looking at this roster, you Garrett Wilson, Corey Davis,
and Elijah More as your wilde receivers. There's no way
that you can compare those guys to Davante Adams, Darren
(20:52):
Waller and Hunter Renfell. First and foremost, they're better than
what he had in Green Bay. They all better than
what he had in Green Bay. Because you can't tell
me that joining the New York Jets is going to
give him a better opportunity and a better chance to
win a division, to get to the playoffs and contend
(21:13):
for a world championship. I would say so the New
York Jets are not a better option for him if
he wants to contend for a world championship. That's just
That's so of the whole matter. And going back to
the going back to Mark Murphy, Andy green Bay, Patrick Packers,
I do believe him. I believe that if Anne Rodgers
(21:36):
wants to remain in Green Bay, they will let him
stay there, even if they got to pay him fifty
nine million dollars for a year, because I don't believe
that Matt Laflore is that good of a head coach anyway.
And when if Ann Rodgers shots fire, listen, if An
Rodgers does decide to leave, we are going to see
just how good of a head coach Matt la Floor is.
(21:58):
And it's time for the Jordan Love trained to start
taking off from the from the from the from the
from the from the station, from the station, but just
going forward for the Green Bay Packers. If Aaron Rodgers
wants to come back, they're gonna sign him and he
gonna play because Matt Lafood doesn't want to look like
a fool, and justin Jordan Love, it's time for him
(22:20):
to play. But Aaron Rodgers still has the keys to that,
to that, to that machine up there in Green Bay
if he wants to have it. I believe the coaching
and the plan goes hand in hand. Um is Aaron
Rodgers one of the best. Obviously he is, But I'm
(22:41):
not just gonna give him all the credit. Um And
say he carried La fleur um. He yeah, I can't
do that because if if they don't win, then do
you point all the blame to La Floor or does
Aaron Rodgers take all the blames since he's do and
all the carrying, then Canny do all the carrying when
(23:02):
things don't work out. So when they get all the blame.
So when they didn't make the playoffs this year, was
that on the floor or Aaron Rodgers? It was on everybody. Oh,
but when they win, Aaron Rodgers is carrying a team.
We can't have it both ways. See, we can't have
that both ways. Now I do. I'm a firm believer
(23:25):
in the players got to play. I don't care what
kind of game plan you put together. Can be the
best game plan in the world. If we don't execute,
it's not the best game plan. Now, Aaron Rodgers, which
we discussed this weeks ago, I felt like the Jets
was the best situation because you go to the Raiders,
you gotta go through Patrick Mahomes. That's no easy task.
(23:47):
You gotta go through Justin Herbert, That's also not an
easy task. And now you have Sean Payton and Denver
Sean Payton is a winner. That's what he does. He's
going to win. And so you go to the New
York Jets. You're competing with the Dolphins McDaniels and toa
the Patriots Belichick and mac Jones, the Bills McDermott and
(24:12):
Josh Shalon with the turnover they had Leslie Frazier steps down,
they can't seem to get over the hump. I believe
if Aaron Rodgers goes to the Jets, it puts them
right there. So you're talking next year in the AFC,
We're gonna talk Kansas City Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills,
(24:34):
New York Jets. That in that order. To me, now,
we could probably throw Jacksonville in the mix because I
believe Calvin Ridley will mean that much to the team.
You depending on what happened with Russell Wilson and Sean
Payton and Denver, Broncos, Herbert and the Charger. So many
really good teams, what happens with Lamar in Baltimore, DeShawn
(24:57):
Watson and clear There's so many really good teams in
the AFC. You just don't know. But I believe that
puts them right in the mix. We just gotta wait
on Aaron Rodgers to decide. Is he all this black
hole yet? Hey, these dudes nowadays, man, like they do
some different stuff, right, you gotta go isolate yourself for
(25:20):
two days, like I just an adult room. Yeah, I
don't know where this comes from. But man, the things
these dudes are on. Now. It's like, hey, but Aaron
Rodgers is out here in southern California right now, let
me look outside, it's still raining, doing something for charity.
So I applaud him, pat on the back. He's out
(25:40):
here doing some charity work for these kids out here.
So not meaning know that because I'm sure he doesn't
publicize a ton of it, but I know because I
was invited. But yes, a lot of these things where
Aaron Rodgers going to the just doesn't make sense. Roberts Loot,
this is going to be a second year's head coach,
your draft Zach wi Else with the number two pick,
and and you wanted him to come basically be the
(26:02):
franchise quarterback. So if you do bring Aaron Rods into
the New York Jets, what do you do is Zach
Wilson is what you you know, what he do the
same thing you and I do when we watch the game,
sit down, watch take notes. The number two pick in
the draft, and you basically put your head in the
guillotine with this young man and brought him into this
(26:23):
organization hoping that he was going to be I don't
know what this speaking of the word hoping. Speaking of
the word hoping, you hope he learns from a guy
that he idolized growing up. That's what you will. Hope
that he can take some things away from somebody he
idolized growing up and be a better player. When Aaron
(26:45):
Rodgers decides I'm done, I just don't think in the
front office, man, you draft this guy with a number
two pick, and already you're washing your hands with him,
just saying that he's done and he's not going to
be your franchise quarterback. You wash your hands with him
las year, So why shouldn't he listen. I knew he
wasn't that good coming out of college, but they said,
you and I wanted him to do some of things
(27:06):
he was doing. I say, when is he throwing the football?
Because all the highlights I saw he was running it.
So he obviously was not ready to play. He wasn't
ready to play. What do you mean he wasn't ready
to play? He can't play. No, no, what I'm saying
he wasn't ready to play obviously because he didn't perform
well when he got an opportunity. He's gonna learn from
Aaron Rodgers. Any player that has a sense of awareness,
(27:30):
you are going to be odds, open ears listening to
everything that he says and he does. Because if you
want to reach the pinnacle and you want to be
one of these best players in the National Aaron Rodgers
been there, He's done that. This is a perfect situation
for Zach Wilson. This is perfect. Aaron Rodgers plays two years,
(27:52):
you sent these two years. You learn from him Ballace
if you're ready. If you're not ready in two years,
you never gonna be ready. So for me, if I'm
the New York Jets, if I'm Zach Wilson, I say,
this is actually a perfect storm. We get a quarterback
that could hopefully teach our young guy what it is
to play in the National Football League. Because I believe
Jordan Love is gonna play well, and I believe Aaron
(28:15):
Rodgers would have played a partner just by Jordan love
being around them all these years watching and so for
the Jets, it can be a perfect situation if Zach
Wilson has a talent that they thought when they drafted
them with a second pick. But Aaron Rodgers, just decide
on what you're gonna do. Are you gonna have to
(28:35):
go on another retreat and go on the dark room? Man,
make this decision asap. So now we got we got
more great news in the league. We got our guy
Ilo on Trendon Ilo talk to us, hello fellows, And
unfortunately we're actually gonna have to begin with some sad
news from the NFL. Legendary former Minnesota Vikings head coach
(28:57):
Bud Grant passed away today at the age of ninety five.
Grant coached the Vikings to four Super Bowl appearances in
the nineteen seventies. He was inducted into the Pro Football
Hall of Fame in nineteen ninety four. Here was Grant
discussing how his great Vikings teams embraced the Minnesota cold.
If they got the right name where the Vikings. So
(29:17):
let's be a cold weather team and we're going to
be cold. The coup are going to practice in the cold.
You're going to get used to the cold, and you
can catch and kick and hold of football in the
cold weather. Look what the other team is doing. They
got hears over there. Where are the players. They're howdled
around those hears. They're watching the game, they're trying to
get warm. I said, we will alleviate that because we
(29:38):
won't have half heaters. You watch the game, you'd be
ready to go in, you'd be ready to play. Let
them have their heaters. ESPN reports at the Los Angeles
Chargers restructured the contracts of pass rushers Joey Bosa and
Khalil Mack, creating twenty six million dollars of cap space.
The Chargers had already restructured the contracts of receivers Keenan
(29:58):
Allen and Mike Williams, so they have gone from twenty
million over the cap to nineteen million under the cap.
ESPN also reporting the Raiders restructured the contract of pass
rusher Max Crosby, creating about seven and a half million
dollars worth of cap space, while the New York Jets
collective really restructured fifteen million dollars worth of cap space. Finally,
(30:19):
guys won College Basketball Conference tournament championship game going on
right now. That would be in the America East Conference
where the Vermont Catamounts have a fifty three to forty
six lead over the UMass Lowell Riverhawks with seven twenty
two remaining in the second half, and without Fellas, It's
all yours, hey, Illo. As I hear you talk about
(30:42):
like salary cap and contract structuring, man, I wish it
was kind of similar to baseball, man, to where it
was no salary cap span which you want to spanning.
You would pay a luxury tax because you get all
this real egos. They can't afford it, can afford it,
(31:03):
Let's face it, absolutely they can. But peekaback off of
what you just said. I was listening to Ilo and
you listen to Keenan Allen and Mike Williams getting the
contract restructure. Joey Bosa and Khalil Matt those are players
that are basically saying, we don't we don't want to
leave the LA Chargers right now because because we have
(31:26):
a good football team moving forward and we got Justin Herbert.
So if you want to receive what youre Keenan Allen,
you Mike Williams, you want to stay on that offense
with Justin Herbert. Hey, and they better do something now
because mister Herbert is up for an extension, so oh
or he will be. They better figure this out real quick.
(31:49):
They better start winning. So I'm optimistic this year man
that with Brandon Staley, he's learned from his mistakes. I'm
optimistic that the Chargers are gonna have a good season.
ASC is gonna be a blood bath this season. It's
just so many good teams. You can pick five, six,
seven teams and say, oh, they can win it, and
(32:10):
everybody would probably say, oh, yeah, I could see that.
There's a handful of teams and it's gonna you add
one more team. Once mister Rogers makes his decision, whether
he goes to the Jets or wherever he goes, that
team he goes to will be a contender. I just
don't see how this thing plays out, man, I just
really don't because the numbers don't make sense. You give
(32:32):
Zach Wilson a thirty five million dollars signing bonus, No,
thirty five million dollars guaranteed a contract, twenty two million
dollars and signing bonus, and he's making eight million dollars
a year. He has to be the most expensive backup
quarterback to ever live. If he is making thirty five
(32:53):
million dollars and guaranteed money and you bring in an
Rodters to basically take over his position, it just doesn't
add up to me. We've seen crazier things with Aaron Rodgers.
There's no guarantee that he's going to go to the Jets,
but I believe the team that he does decide to
go to, they won't pick up the phone and call him.
(33:15):
He will pick up the phone and call the organization
and tell him he wants to play for him. That's
how I believe it's going to all shape out. It's
Aaron Rodgers as good as going. He didn't do I'm
not going to a dark place and let me let
me isolate myself. He didn't do all of this for
no reason. He didn't do all of this to say
I'm going back to Green Bay. The Packers have not
(33:38):
come out and said, oh, will trade them, but we'll
also accept them back. They know what's going on. To me,
it's just a matter of time now before Aaron Rodgers says,
all right, I'm gonna be a New York Jet, the
ownership of the Jets in the front office, and the
coaches didn't fly from New York to California this week
to meet with Aaron Rodgers all for nothing. And so
(33:59):
I'm almost certain the next twenty four hours we will
be seeing on a ticker Aaron Rodgers has been traded
to the New York Jets four a conditional whatever whatever.
That's what I believe is going to take place. And
the AFC has just gotten tougher when that does take place.
And so Aaron Rodgers, we wish you the best. The
(34:21):
Jets will be contenders. I'm speaking it into existence. Man
up on Game, Fox Sports Radio, mister Plexico Burris and
you make sure you say mister when you address him.
D J. Houshman's out of LaVar Arrington Man, enjoy your

(35:26):
you're still not overpaying for a razor. Not in this economy,
that's gross. With dollars. Shaved Club, you can get top
shelf shave at a regular shelf price. Dollar Shave Club
is available at a story near you in the men's
razor aisle. That's it and that's the add man. Before
we finished this first hour, food but quick man, real fast,
(35:49):
your boy to a top of Belowa had his fifth
year option picked up. UM, I believe it was the
right decision. What do you think moving forward? Will he
get an extension? Your thoughts on the Dolphins picking up
his fifth year option? UM? I think it's I think
it's a good idea right now for the Dolphins to
(36:11):
pick up his fist option because who are you? Who
are you going to play at the quarterback position. They
just aren't a lot of good, great quarterbacks out there
to lead your organization. And right now he's the best
option for the new for the Miami Dolphins. But looking forward,
I don't think they'll resign him to an extension and
(36:33):
he'll be a long term quarterback. I think he's a
I think it's a good quarterback, but I don't believe
that he will be the answer for the Miami Dolphins
moving forward long term. I believe it boils down to
one thing with Tour health. If Tour can, if he
can stay healthy, he'll get that extension. I truly believe,
(36:57):
and I can be mistake, but it was the Buffalo
game where he got up and you knew something was
wrong and he stayed in the game, and then the
following week against Cincinnati was when it got really scary.
And so if Tour can stay healthy, the way he
(37:18):
was the MVP candidate midway through the season, the way
he was playing, it was extremely accurate. The Dolphins were
playing well, Tyreek Hill had a career career season, Waddle
did as well, and then they just kind of faltered
down the backstretch of the season, Oh, because Tour wasn't playing,
And so I agree it's a great decision. What happens
(37:43):
moving forward is pretty much if Tour can stay healthy,
I believe he'll get an extension. I don't know what
all this. Oh, Tom Brady's coming out of retirement again
to join the Dolphins. I don't. I don't believe that.
I really don't. But you speak of him still in
hell fee as he's had nagging injuries. These aren't nagging
(38:04):
injuries that he has sustained that has kept him off
of the football field. These concussions that are that he's having.
That's a that's a serious deal. Extractly that that that
he's dealing with, and know when the organization is going through.
If he has another concussion one or two next season,
(38:24):
then he should be contemplating retiring and not playing football anymore.
Just super injuries. When we when we were at the
Super Bowl, I saw him in Arizona and we talked
about this mental We talked about this, and that's a
chance he's willing to take. He's willing to take. He
(38:45):
told me face to face, I'm willing to take that chance.
T J. Like, I don't believe I'm gonna have another concussion,
but if I do, that's that's a chance that I'm
willing to take. And so that's what he told me.
He is. But it's the organization in our team teams
moving forward, going to take that chance knowing that he's
concussion prone moving forward. Now, what are the chances if
(39:08):
he does not play the following game after Buffalo that
he's in that type of condition. We just don't know.
We don't know, and now we got him. Hey, hey, Sam,
I must say, you started off really good, but you're
finished stronger. Man. The first hour, it's gone by so fast. Man,
(39:30):
Fox Sports Radio Plexico bursts, I'm t J. Houshmizata. Y'all
stayed locked in for the second hour. Man, We'll be
