which is a Sam, which is Sam Sam Sam, Sam Sam,
which is Sam I am which I will not eat
green eggs and ham No, I will not TJ.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Your boy Eric b.
Speaker 5 (03:19):
Enemy is in the house. They are talking about how
he has brought He has brought that fire and that expectation,
that building of a standard to the nation's capital. Obviously,
we're hearing all of the news surfacing that the things
are going to go through with Josh Harris and his
(03:40):
bid to move forward to get the franchise. But in
the midst of those things, we had this interesting sound
bite from Sam Howe talking about Eric Beenemy, and I
want to ask you some specific question on the other
side of his words.
Speaker 6 (03:56):
He's very hot, hard on us, and he sets a
high standards. You guys can probably tell being out here practice.
But you know that's what we want. You know, we
want to be coached hard, and we want want to
want to play for someone who has a high standard.
And it's been good, you know, obviously it's a it's
a really good system, and I think it'll be good
a good way for us to use the weapons that
we have. We have a lot of really good weapons,
So I'm excited.
Speaker 5 (04:14):
Now, there are a lot of people out here that
ain't rocking with Sam how They're saying that there's no
way that they can have success.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
At best.
Speaker 5 (04:22):
For me, I say, at best, they're fighting for third
place in the in the division. They're fighting for third
place in the NFC East.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (04:31):
But a lot of people are high on Sam Howe
and and and they're looking at what the possibility of
the impact of adding Eric B.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
Enemy can be.
Speaker 5 (04:43):
Now we've all said this is a volatile situation that
could lead to not such great results and could ultimately
maybe even derail all of the momentum that that Eric
b Enemy has built up being in Kansas City. But
with that being said, a lot of people downgraded Eric Beenemy,
(05:04):
saying that Andy Reid is the architect. Andy Reid is
the one that ultimately calls the plays no real reason
to give Eric bene Mey his flowers and give him
the props that he deserves. But it sounds as though
the same things that we heard from players in Kansas
City and sometimes maybe wasn't received the right way. As
we know from from Shady McCoy, he didn't like the
(05:26):
way Eric Vieennemy handled him. But for the most part,
it sounds as though these guys know how hard and
intense Eric Vienemy is what he brings to the table,
and they seem to respond to it whether they like
it or not. But what's your take on it?
Speaker 3 (05:43):
I mean, bene Me's gonna have to prove himself. And
we can say, well, Matt, Naggy and Peterson they got
opportunities and they were in the same position that being
was in. It doesn't matter now all that none of
this matters. You got to go to Washington, you got
(06:06):
to play good football on the offense side of the ball.
If Sam Howe can perform, this makes Eric bene Me
look so good that because you can say, oh, yoh, Sam,
how's good. Oh, he's doing very well and all, none
of that matters until the regular season starts. If he's
able to lead a group of men on an offensive
(06:30):
side of the ball that has struggled, this is better
for him than anything he could have done in Kansas City,
because whatever happened in Kansas City, the credit was always
going to be to Pat Mahomes and Andy Reid. Him
getting this opportunity. If he can perform, when I say he,
if this offense can perform, this is at least in
(06:54):
my opinion, better than anything he could have done in
Kansas City. Now that Kansas City experience, it should help
them how to navigate and deal with players that are
very good players. I mean, the best of the best.
You had Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill. You done
had guys that were really good players that you caught
(07:17):
on the tail end, like Lashawn Shady McCoy, and so
you got to deal with those type of things. I
believe they also had Le'Veon at one point, didn't.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
They they did have Bell at one point.
Speaker 3 (07:27):
And so for me, this is a perfect situation for
being to me to be in. If they can play
ball the way they need to play it. But you
got a quarterback that's going into a second year that
was drafted late. A lot of times it doesn't work out.
But they do have the weapons on the outside. They
got a good running game, they have a good offensive front,
(07:50):
they got all the pieces. There's ken Sam Howe play
the quarterback position the way that be enem Me wants
it where they can be successful.
Speaker 5 (08:00):
I feel like it's all about infrastructure, right, Like the
infrastructure was built properly in all of the places that
Andy Reid has been. I mean, he was able to
build great infrastructure in Philadelphia. They were able to draft well,
they were able to develop players well, they were able
to do well in free agency. They just did well.
(08:23):
And he took that same approach to Kansas City and
even did more, accomplished more. I don't think Patrick Mahomes
is Patrick Mahomes if he goes to another organization. I mean,
that's just that could be my opinion on it. People
could say I'm crazy. I don't care. I don't think
that Patrick Mahomes if he goes to a different organization,
(08:45):
is Patrick Mahomes that we know today that's already a
first ballot Hall of Famer and he hasn't even gotten
to his you know what, his third trimester of his
NFL career. He's like in his second second phase with
his first real contract. I don't think that he's that
guy without that infrastructure and with that group of people.
(09:08):
So when I look at the scenarios and how they
could play out, I don't know if that structure, that
infrastructure is in place just yet in Washington. I have
heard a lot of positive things coming out of the building.
People have told me that the culture took its shift
(09:31):
maybe over a year and a half ago, and even
before it was announced in or understood and clear that
the organization was going to be under new leadership and
new ownership, that it was going in the right direction.
And so for me to look at where they're at
right now, we're going to find OUTDJ. We're gonna find
(09:52):
out if Washington has made the right moves to put
an infrastructure in place for Ron Rivera first to have
the type of success that he needs to have, because
this is a team that if you look at them
personnel wise. If they're healthy, this is a serious football
team on paper. They should not be accomplishing as low
(10:13):
as they are at the moment that they are. In fact,
they should not have accomplished at that level for a
lot of different seasons, including two thousand.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
Two thousand and one, two thousand and two, two thousand
and three, two.
Speaker 3 (10:23):
Thousand and four to two thousand anyway, an the last
couple decades.
Speaker 2 (10:27):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 5 (10:29):
So you know, while I'm hopeful that Eric b Enemy's
impact is going to be profound with Washington, I think
that conventional wisdom says, if it took from two thousand
to two thousand and say twenty one to get to
(10:52):
where the culture is so fed up that it doesn't
matter how good your coaches are, doesn't matter how good
you're you're going to come up short because the infrastructure
isn't there. I don't know that it gets turned around
this quickly, even with all of the major major changes
(11:12):
that have taken place. But with that being said, I'm
hopeful that it actually could mean that. I'm hoping that
it actually means that the cleaning up of the ownership,
the cleaning up of the building, the creating an environment
where people are actually like go figure TJ, where people
(11:33):
actually feel like they're being treated like a person.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
Whoo, news flash, you.
Speaker 3 (11:40):
Know it's again. I don't know what went on in
the organization because I wasn't there. You can read the
reports and see what was going on. But what we
do know on the field of play, that defense under
Ron River and the players that they have have been
stout Chase Young. They did not pick up his fifth
(12:02):
year option. He should be extremely motivated to play good
football now a year after the ACL injury, and so
he should be close to full strength or even better
and a point to prove because they passed on picking
up his option. That division is not gonna be easy.
(12:23):
You got Dallas Cowboys, you got the Giants, and those
two teams made the playoffs last year, and you got
the Eagles who represented the NFC in a Super So
that's not an easy division. Offensively is where the Washington
Commanders need to do their part so that team can
(12:44):
be competitive. And they were in a lot of games
last year. And you'd say with what on offense? That
offense in Kansas City works because they have really good players.
Andy Reid is a really good coach and scheming up
plays to basically take advantage of what you're trying to
(13:07):
do defensively. Now, if the enemy has that ability to
do those type of things in Washington, now they they
they got a hell of a chance. We don't know
what being If you're asking me this now, I'm gonna
say absolutely not. But I don't know. I don't know
(13:27):
how the enemy is going to be when that pressure
starts to come.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
Not just absolutely not absolutely not no chance.
Speaker 3 (13:36):
And and and that's that. And that's not a knock
on Washington.
Speaker 2 (13:41):
That good.
Speaker 3 (13:41):
Philly is that good.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
And they got better and they got better.
Speaker 3 (13:45):
Not only did Philly get better, the Giants got better.
Cowboys should be better. I don't know. I don't know
how I feel about the Mike McCarthy killing Moore.
Speaker 2 (13:57):
Yeah, I don't know how.
Speaker 3 (13:59):
I don't feel too good about that, But I know
the Eagles and the Giants got better. I know Dable
Brian Dabele is one of the best coaches in the
National Football League. I do know that for a fact.
There's no disc he is absolutely one of the best
coaches in the National Football League. What he did at
Buffalo and you go to the New York Giants, New
(14:19):
York Giants and do what you just did. It's no
question he's one of the best.
Speaker 6 (14:23):
Coach.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
Daniel Jones looked like he couldn't play Danions. Jones just
got paid because Brian Dabe was his head coach. Brian
Dables should wake up and pat himself on the back
every single day because he's that good of a coach
in my opinion, and so no disrespect to Washington. It's
the other teams and we all it's unknown of Sam
Howe and Eric being in me. They got the guys
on the outside, they got the line, they got the
running game. Can Eric being in me get these guys
(14:47):
to buy in? Can Sam Howe play the type of
football that's needed to be successful. If I don't know that,
then absolutely not. They can't. They don't have a chance
because these other teams have proven they can do it
in a way Watchington commanders have to prove it.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
Well, there you go. That's t J.
Speaker 5 (15:03):
Hushman's out of just putting y'all on some serious game,

Speaker 2 (17:32):
What you got my guy?
Speaker 8 (17:33):
All right, we gotta wait till Game two of the
NBA Finals tomorrow night. But some NBA news today ESPN
reporting that Knicks All Star for Julius Randall had surgery
on his left ankle yesterday. However, Randall is still expected
to be ready for training camp in the fall. Got
game one of the Stanley Cup Final between the Golden
Knights and the Panthers coming up tonight. Eight Eastern Baseball,
(17:54):
We've got raised Red Sox just getting underway in Boston.
They're playing a doubleheader today after last night's game was out.
In the NFL, as Vikings running back Dalvin Cooks time

Miami Herald reports the Dolphins are a real possibility as
a landing spot for the four time pro bowler. Reports
Saint Josh harris'll meet with the NFL's finance committee on Wednesday,
(18:15):
and another step toward a possible vote this summer on
the sale of the Commanders. At the French Open Top,
remaining American women Coco Goff and defending women's Champa Egos
Fiantec each advanced to the round of sixteen. Ralfin ad
All had surgery for the hip injury that kept him

(18:37):

and in golf, third round of the Memorial Tournament underway,
Justin Sue leads at eight under Hedeki Matsuyama sits just
one shot back.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
Let's send it.
Speaker 8 (18:48):
Back to up on Game, LeVar Arrington and TJ.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
Houschman Zana appreciate you. Nick. We are live and up
on Game.
Speaker 5 (18:55):
Yes, rights from the tyrack dot com studios, and let's
get right to it.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
Knowledge is about to be dropped on your hat. I'm
ready for the big stage, like an upper cut to
the chest. Here's Red Butler from Pretty Left Hook.
Speaker 2 (19:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (19:16):
Yeah, when you hear the music comes on, you know
it's about to be a total turn up talking about
what's going on in the fight. Game had a big, big,
big announcement take place. But before we get into that,
gotta bring him in the right way, the man, the myth,
the legend himself from Pretty Left Hook on up on
Game Network, Up on Game presents my man, Red Butler.
Speaker 2 (19:40):
What is the good word.
Speaker 4 (19:42):
Sir, he yo, my gods man. Last time we talked,
we said that we heard Eryl Spenson terms Crawford. We're
gonna finally bang bang boogie and guess what, folks, it
is legitimately happening. July twenty ninth, Las Vegas, Nevada. I'm
gonna stay up the game. Broke that man, because we
(20:03):
let him know early that it was coming real soon. Man,
hot and heaven. Yeah know what it is?
Speaker 9 (20:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (20:07):
I like that?
Speaker 9 (20:08):
Like that?
Speaker 2 (20:10):
I mean how big?
Speaker 5 (20:13):
Because I mean when when when Tank and Garcia was
was set, They're like, okay, hands down, this has the
potential to be the fight of the year. It was
certainly an amazing showcase in a crowning moment for Tank.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
Uh what does this? I mean? This says?
Speaker 5 (20:34):
I mean this is almost like level of Canelo and
in Floyd when they fight. I mean, how does how
what's the comparison here? Is this easily the fight of
the year coming into it?
Speaker 4 (20:45):
This is absolutely fight of the year. This is a
true fifty to fifty fighting. For those who don't understand
what that means, it means everybody's equally matched. Listen, Terrence
Crawford is here for his respect. Eryl Spence is here
to let you know that he believes he's the best
and for Terrence more than anybody, he feels overlooked. He
feels like everybody sleeps on him. Everybody says he's never
(21:07):
fought anybody. He's small in the weltweight division in comparison
to Earl Spence. So this is a great, great, great fight.
And yes, it is on the same level, if not bigger,
in my opinion, than Floyd Canelo, only because Floyd many
still considered a little older veteran so to speak, even
though we know he was not, and he schooled Canelo.
(21:28):
But that's the energy people gave that fight, and Canelo
was just expected to either mop up Floyd or show
his flaws, and that didn't happen.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
In this fight.
Speaker 4 (21:37):
You have two guys that are equally matched, and we're
talking about skill with Terrence Crawford, even though he would
say he's powerful and powerful Spence, who many think have
that one punch knockout ability. So I think this is
a great fight, bar I mean, this is the fight
for this generation, to be quite honest, it's not even
it's not only for the year. It's generational straight up.
Speaker 2 (21:55):
Like Hear and Sugar Ray type.
Speaker 4 (21:58):
Absolutely, and that's the greater little because I actually look
at Hans Crawford as Marvin Hagler. Okay, he's an underdog
he comes from a scrappy city, and Eryl Spence is
one hundred percent looking more like the Sugar Ray in
the situation. He's flash here, he has a lot a
lot more hype. He sold out at and T Stadium
(22:18):
in Dallas a few times. So it's really like the
hype guy versus the underdog, but both the equally matched
skill wise. This is gonna be an amazing fight.
Speaker 3 (22:26):
Yeah, skill wise. When you say Sugar Ray and Tommy Hearn,
that that was the fight sugar An Tommy Hearn, even
though if I'm not mistaken, Sugar Ray had already lost
to Roberto Duran, but he avenged it. This fight is
different because not only are Spence and Crawford top of
the poundful pound list, they're both undefeated. And so when
(22:50):
like I'm a huge boxing fan, I can think of
maybe a handful of fights that were in that situation.
Delahay and Trinidad both at the top of the pound
for poundless, both undefeated. People don't recall this one. Roy
Jones and James Tony They're both at the top pound
for poundless and they were both undefeated. And then it
(23:10):
was one more. It was ah Oh, Andre Ward and Covialev.
They were both at the top pound for poundless and
they were both undefeated. And then the one where to me.
Speaker 2 (23:21):
Is that the fight where like, yeah, this this.
Speaker 3 (23:26):
Fight, I'm about to say it was his coming out party,
at least for me, because everybody thought Diego Carlis was
a killer. May he rest in peace? Is Froy Mayweather
and Diego Carals when they fought at.
Speaker 2 (23:38):
Lightweight came with a cigarette, and so.
Speaker 3 (23:42):
Spencing Crawford. They're both pound for pound rated, they're both undefeated,
a true fifty to fifty fight. Did I miss anybody
along where you can say, man, like you said earlier,
it's a true fifty to fifty fight, both for pound
for both for undefeated. We haven't seen this is the
(24:03):
fight of the decade because you can't even say Mayweather
Canelo wasn't pound for pound when he fought Mayweather. Many
thought may Rather would win, and he did. This fight
truly is two all time great fighters, and the fighter
that wins this will undoubtedly be considered an all time great.
(24:24):
And so did I miss a fight along the way
that this is the question? I missed the fight along
the way that I did name that compares to this, No, I.
Speaker 4 (24:33):
Don't think you did. I think you named all the
top ones, especially when you're talking about then the battle
of Undefeated, I would say in terms of skill matchup,
even though again we're talking about, you know, one having
more fights than the other, I would say Dela Hoya
and Mayweather at the same level of expectation and anticipation.
A lot of people thought that Dela Hoya was actually
gonna do this thing against Mayweather, and Mayweather really showed
(24:55):
a master classes, which is what took him into the
money Made with the world right after that. You know so,
I think and you could even honestly could even say
zab Judah and for Mayweather on some level because the anticipation,
again at their age level they were at, that was
like one of these two were going to become a
superstar after this fight. And that's what we have here,
right these.
Speaker 2 (25:14):
Two guys in that sweep in de la Hoya.
Speaker 4 (25:19):
Yeah, you know what, that's I didn't think about that one.
That actually makes sense too, That doesn't make let's go,
let's go, yeah, look at the people that we're comparing.
That is a huge honor first and foremost, and I'm
gonna be honest The person that I think obviously has
(25:41):
the most to gain is Terrence Crawford, and that's a
dangerous proposition for Aerol spin. What we know about Terrence
Crawford is he's very very much has an ego. He
very very much feels like an underdog at all times,
and he's very capable.
Speaker 3 (25:57):
You you you pro Crawford. I hear it. I hear it.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
Oh is he pro Crawford?
Speaker 4 (26:02):
I hear it. We get the prediction yet, but I
will say that it's more intangible than just a good
boxing resume and acimus who.
Speaker 2 (26:10):
You think is the better boxer?
Speaker 4 (26:12):
Who you know? I can't say Eryl Spence because Erol
Spence has never been undisputed.
Speaker 3 (26:19):
See this, This is the thing red though, that's a
discredit because Spence is a fundamentally sound boxer that fights
aggressively on the front foot instead of off the back foot.
He's just an aggressive, fundamentally sound boxer. And it's crazy
because Crawford has found a way lately. He just always
(26:39):
adjusts and lands his money punch. Like Crawford is dropping
guys more at one forty seventy than he was at
one thirty five.
Speaker 5 (26:46):
That sounds like the bronze bomber before he met uh
well he even got Tyson Fury with it. But I
mean he's a much more fundamentally sound boxer.
Speaker 3 (26:55):
But it's like what the Arawford is like a computer
and he's just kind of figured wow, oh exactly during
the course of the flight. Yeah, now your.
Speaker 4 (27:08):
Question directly, yes, I think. Well, I'm gonna go ahead
and say I think they both equally matched in terms
of boxing skills fundamentals. But I have to say to
TJ's point, the downloading of information again, it just makes
Crawford a very unique fighter. And like andre Ward said,
the goal of any fighter, if you're trying to be
a legend, is to chase belts in multiple weight classes.
(27:28):
Charvice Coror has already been undisputed in a weight class.
Now he's chasing undisputed against Aerob Spence. Whoever wins this
fight has all the belts. That's how the Floyd may
we never even did they read.
Speaker 3 (27:39):
How how we we haven't seen this. How is Crawford
going to deal with the aggression of Spence attacking a
body throwing sixty to eighty punches around, or will his
footwork in just his overall boxing ability gate a lot
(28:00):
of what Spence wants to do.
Speaker 4 (28:03):
That's a great question. I'm gonna say this. I think
that there's two examples to look at. One you gotta
look at the way Crawford for Sean Porter, and in second,
you got to look at the way Javonta Davis fort
Ryan Garcia. And why do I say that? Well, Ryan
Garcia where he played himself because he was doing good
in the early rounds because he was too aggressive, so
it gave Javonta the ability to realize his sloppiness. And
(28:23):
also because of the height.
Speaker 3 (28:25):
I don't think Spencer like that comparison. You're comparing them
to Ryan.
Speaker 4 (28:30):
Only because I think that Spence is going to try
to get parents up out of there, and I think
parents are going to do what he always does, and
he's very patient. The reason one of the reasons why
people don't really watch Terrence Crawford fights when he's not
fighting a big name like El Spence is because he's
traditionally boring to most fight stands. It's a chin live
of effect, tank of the same thing, but he comes
in with more hype value. Terence doesn't come to any
(28:53):
hype of value. He's from a non traditional market in Omaha, Nebraska.
He doesn't wear a lot of jewelry and chains. He's
not doing a lot in pop culture. But at the
end of the day, he's a scientist. You have to
watch him round for round and then see his greatness
in the later rounds. Spence, on the other hands, going
to come in there and do what he does best,
get up close and personal and try to beat him down.
But that's what Sean Porter tried to do too, And
(29:14):
Sean Porter's output is the thing as Errol Spence and
show he's.
Speaker 3 (29:18):
Not fundamentally as sound as a boxer, at least not
to me as Spence is at all.
Speaker 4 (29:23):
Well, look at Spence versus gar wor Sdandy Garcia. It
was a close fight. They would toe to toe, and
I think that Spence is going to do that here.
Speaker 3 (29:32):
Do you think the layoff will effect Spence? Spence hasn't
fought in a while. You think that layoff may bother him.
Speaker 4 (29:38):
I don't think so. I think that this is a
fight that's going to make both of these guys careers,
and I don't think there's gonna be any excuses. Look
at and to your point, look at Ryan Garcia. Now
it's the excuse factory.
Speaker 3 (29:48):
Right.
Speaker 4 (29:48):
Everything he's saying now is about he was drained, you
know the water rihoonn Drakes. Everything was and now is
about the excuses his team was disloyal. I don't think
Spence is gonna come in here with any of that.
He's a thorough guy. We already know he comes in
here to play. But at the same time, again, I
think Erol Spence has to realize if you go toe
to toe with Terrence of Crawford, he's gonna slip a
(30:08):
little quicker, and I think he's gonna download the info
just a little faster. I just think he's a one
half a step more sharp than Erol Spence.
Speaker 2 (30:15):
All right, here's my money question. Right? You ready for
this one? Absolutely some money question now.
Speaker 4 (30:22):
Okay, as long as it ain't my money, be good money?
Speaker 2 (30:25):
Do we go trilogy?
Speaker 1 (30:26):
Is this?
Speaker 2 (30:27):
Is this the runback?
Speaker 5 (30:28):
Is it two? Is it three? How much bigger does
it get? Is it Canelo Alvarez to the to the winner?
Where does it go for the winner?
Speaker 4 (30:39):
I think it goes at least two in terms of three.
I'm gonna tell you why. I do not think that.
I think it goes at least two obviously if one
of these guys wins two in a row, because again,
and I'm gonna say this only because Crawford, to me
at this point is the one with everything to gain.
I think Crawford, he's already fit. He's going to one
fifty four after Erol Spence to take one one of
(31:00):
the charlos at the end of the talking about a
guy that already has a succession plan in terms of
getting belts in multiple weight classes and showing you that
little guys can go higher and hire the same way
Floyd did. So again, I don't I think it goes
too unless if it comes a one in one fight,
then obviously it goes trilogy. But I think this is
(31:20):
one of those fights where, honestly it might do the
triple g Canilo. But I don't know, man, I don't
know this.
Speaker 3 (31:27):
We get a good fight, we're gonna get another one that.
I just want a good fight, that's all I want
to see.
Speaker 2 (31:31):
What if somebody get put to sleep in the first round.
Speaker 3 (31:35):
That ain't happening.
Speaker 2 (31:36):
Now, just say for the sake.
Speaker 5 (31:38):
Of saying one of them gets put straight to sleep,
good night, goodbye, So long sayl iv in the first round.
Do you want to see a rematch? Does it? Does
it seem fluky? Is it better if if something splash
knockout happens versus a hard fight and the guy and
(31:59):
the guy wins the fight.
Speaker 4 (32:01):
I mean, I'm okay with I'm okay with a flash
knocked out because at the end of the day, look,
it is what it is. If somebody gets went off
like that, anything could happen in the course of a fight,
even in seconds. Mike Tyson showed that. So what is
what it is that would have that would have made
me the gate? Somebody these abilities in the second match
you just got caught. I would definitely want to see
a second fight.
Speaker 5 (32:21):
There was never There was never a rematch between Buster
Douglas and Michael I mean, why.
Speaker 2 (32:26):
Did that not happen?
Speaker 4 (32:28):
Politics? Don King, Mike Texton had a lot going on.
He you know, he claims he had a physical illness
at that time. You know, I mean there was a
lot going on during that, but it was really Don King, politics,
legal issues.
Speaker 2 (32:41):
It was a lot.
Speaker 4 (32:41):
And remember that was in Tokyo.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
I was in Tokyo.
Speaker 5 (32:44):
Yeah, yeah, that was just that was there's a sidebar
off off topic.
Speaker 2 (32:48):
But okay, what does this mean? Do you have any more?
Speaker 3 (32:51):
Uh? T J Yeah, no, no, no, I'm good, I'm good.
I can't I mean, I love boxing, as you know,
but I can't wait. I can't wait for the fight.
Speaker 5 (32:59):
I'll ask one more or and then we'll let you
out of here. What what does this? You know everybody
says when the heavyweights are are going, it's it's phenomenal
for the boxing game. It brings a lot of attention.
But there was a time period where the smaller guys
ran boxing, and that was that Sugar ray Era with
(33:23):
all of those, with Hagler and Hearns and all of them.
How does this compare and what type of impact are
all of these?
Speaker 2 (33:31):
Because I didn't even think about the charlos and then you.
Speaker 5 (33:34):
Just had uh, buddy last weekend when when what he won,
which was very controversial. It was last weekend, the weekend
before Who am I? Who's my man? You came on
to talk about the fight. I'm just blanking on his
name right now. Uh he fought, Uh, it's a big fight,
and he won, won the title. And then Shakur was
(33:55):
up in there saying I'm the guy, he's saying I'm.
Speaker 9 (33:57):
The guy Hainey okay, right, in which a lot of
people thought that lia Machenko won that fight, by the way,
but anyway, I mean that was a big fight.
Speaker 5 (34:08):
There are a lot of big fights seemingly taking place.
How does this compare and in the grand scheme of
making boxing relevant and seeing relevant in all the sports
bar That's.
Speaker 4 (34:21):
A great question. It's extremely important. You know, boxing had
lost some momentum in relation to the USC, which is
a juggernaut. It took a lot of people to get
used to MMA, but once they got used to it,
the personality sold the sport, right Connor McGregor, Ron de
Ralsi Israel Atasanya. Boxing lost the step because of the past.
We know that people wanted that, you know, gods fight
each other at the right time. Energy Also, promoters being
(34:44):
a little greedy, being a little nefarious, lost people's trust
in the game. Now with fights like this which keep
the little guys in the forefront, you know, and solutor
Floyd Mayweather for being one of the main guys along
with Pacion others to keep little guys in the forefront.
These guys are showing you that this generation is will
to fight each other now, not wait four, five, six,
seven years when they feel like this was the downslide
(35:06):
and they might get a guy when he's on the
way out the door. No, they're gonna fight now, prime time,
when we know this is when we're supposed to see it,
and boxing needs that trust and reassurance for the end consumer.
So salute to Erol Spence, Salutor Terrence Crawford. You all
welcome Boxing's back. Stop hanging on the game.
Speaker 2 (35:22):
Baby, there it is. That's Rep.
Speaker 5 (35:24):
Butler, a pretty left hook. Let's get let's get hell
around the blah blah. I'll tell you what, boy, that
man red be crushing that crushing, crushed.

Speaker 5 (35:39):

hook on up on Game Presents. Who We're gonna take

Game Fox Sports Radio. Will be right back.
Speaker 10 (36:08):
Oh yeah, oh like real slow motion right there, you
know what I mean, Like didn't even go fast, but
it just took my time with it, like like I'm
not even on air talking.
Speaker 5 (36:23):
To a whole bunch of people right now, you know
what I mean. Well, back, get to the shows up
on a game.
Speaker 2 (36:28):

shows because it was a really really good one today, TJ.
Speaker 2 (36:40):
How you feeling, Man? You all right right now?
Speaker 4 (36:41):
Man?
Speaker 2 (36:42):
You're okay? You good?
Speaker 3 (36:43):
Yeah, I'm good man. These two hours just be flying by.
Hey bro, so fast.
Speaker 5 (36:48):
It felt like a roller coaster ride today, Man, so fast,
like like super super super high. Then it was like man,
going down really really fast. And then you had that
moment when you're about to go down and you like
can't even breathe and you're like, what what that I do?
While I get on this ride? And then we're going
and the next thing you know, you're screaming us is
a nice ride. I've enjoying it, and it's like, well
you're going back up again and you go through the
feeling all over again. You know, you ever had that
(37:09):
feeling before. I got two young fellas up in here
with me right now. Man, I got Prets and I
got my man Phoenix up in here from burn Factory,
and we're all hanging out. They got their parents up
in here and all that good stuff. It's a beautiful thing.
And I got the up on game crew up in
here too. We're super deep up in here right now.
TJ like, hey, you.
Speaker 3 (37:27):
Know, we're super crazy deep listening you you know what
bothers me? And this is way off subject. I read
about this yesterday.
Speaker 2 (37:33):
Tell me why you bothered?
Speaker 8 (37:35):
Is?
Speaker 3 (37:35):
Why is Nick Saban still complaining about the nil? All
this money? You know, the kids, the backs of these kids, like,
stop complaining and go coach your team. Nick Saban shut up?
Like it's annoying, bro, Like he always complaining about something.
Speaker 2 (37:49):
Is still complaining they got more money than everybody.
Speaker 3 (37:53):
Because he feels like these schools and big cities are
going to be able to pay more for the NIL
and he can't get the players that he a custom
He normally gets like, stop complaining.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
Is he scared?
Speaker 3 (38:04):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (38:05):
Why say you're scared them?
Speaker 3 (38:06):
Why else with you complaining?
Speaker 2 (38:08):
And why not just go after Georgia. You won't. You
won't say Georgia, you won't.
Speaker 5 (38:11):
Say them you you keep going after people, you know,
you know the worst thing about a bully is when
they bully on the people they know aren't going.
Speaker 2 (38:18):
To fight them back. Go after somebody that might pop
you in.
Speaker 5 (38:20):
Your mouth, you know what I mean? Like, then you're
gonna show me something that you got. Why keep going
after saying people?
Speaker 3 (38:25):
He's basically saying like each school should be given an
allotment of money. That's the same for everything.
Speaker 2 (38:30):
It's not the schools that are paying these kids though.
Speaker 5 (38:33):
That's see the problem that we're running into is that
we have a system that is saying that the schools
can facilitate loosely air quotes, but they're not the ones
that can pay. So in theory, you're not really paying
these athletes. You're not really paying them. Somebody else is
a collective is finding that money.
Speaker 3 (38:52):
That that's fine, but you know what it does though,
it was how much money does Nick Saban make a
whole lot more than ten twelve to fifteen million? Probably yes,
Now if they're paying, if these people that are paying
the salary are paying them, that if they start giving
to this NIL. That means, oh, my salary may become
less mean. So that's what it is. He worried about
his own pocketbook because you don't want them to donate
(39:14):
to the NIL instead of oh, give me a raise.
Speaker 5 (39:16):
I'd rather have less in my pocketbook and job security
because we're bringing in dope ass players versus pocketbook getting
fatter and we're losing players. That's just me, though, I
pay them out of my own pocket if I could.
Speaker 3 (39:29):
I really know what they say. Fat pigs get slaughter, man,
Fat pigs get slaughtered.
Speaker 2 (39:35):
They're good eating too.
Speaker 3 (39:35):
But yeah, I know that was way off subject, but
I was. I meant to it was subject. But it's
just that, that's what you complaining, Nick Saban, Like, you
win a ton of football games, you win national championships,
You make all this money on the backs of these
kids that you recruit.
Speaker 2 (39:52):
I'm happy as hell. Yeah we sure you are not
so happy.
Speaker 3 (39:55):
I love it here.
Speaker 2 (39:56):
Yeah, we're sure you cut it out. If he ever
comes up, we'll kill you. You know what movie?
Speaker 3 (40:06):
You know?
Speaker 2 (40:07):
A movie?
Speaker 3 (40:09):
A movie?
Speaker 2 (40:09):
Anybody know what movie? We want to take a stab
at it?
Speaker 5 (40:12):
Lion king Man. When Hyenas told Simba, don't come back,
you know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (40:16):
Yeah, you know I should know that I watched.
Speaker 2 (40:18):
You should have known that she's an easy pool.
Speaker 3 (40:21):
I ain't gonna lie to All I watch is sports
and nothing else so that I.
Speaker 5 (40:32):
