way tire buying should be plex. We're an hour two,
(01:50):
my guy, and well, I don't know what hour it
is on the forty nine er season, but I do
know this. They going into this week's game with our
Trent Williams without Bosa. He's out, well, he's doubtful he
could play, and you know what they need desperately to
get a win and to play better. They are abysmal
(02:13):
this year and how they are playing. John Lynch says,
Shanahan isn't going anywhere.
Speaker 5 (02:19):
Do you buy not?
Speaker 6 (02:20):
Okay, let's talk about it. Where are we at with
this forty nine Ers team?
Speaker 4 (02:25):
Grab it up, everybody, it's over.
Speaker 7 (02:31):
I said, me and TJ had this conversation for all
the forty nine fans out there. The window for the
San Francisco forty nine ers has officially closed. Every team,
every organization gets a five year run. Nick Bosa basically
(02:52):
came out and blamed Steve Wilks defensively for their loss
in the Super Bowl through him under the bus, basically
saying that we didn't understand, we didn't know where the
ball was in RPL situations, So they made Steve Wilkes
the skipegoat for that blunder in the Super Bowl. And
now you look where they are, where they are defensively.
(03:14):
And the reason that I say that the windows closed
because I think we are getting a sense of who
brock Pertty is as a quarterback when he doesn't have
all of these guys surrounding him. No Brandon, I you,
I think that has shown up tremendously in the passing
game for them. Obviously, the injuries which have basically decimated
(03:39):
this team. Greenlow still is not black from the Achilles.
Everybody saw what happened with CMC and his calf or
need whatever they want to call that George Kittle is
getting getting a year older, and I just think that,
you know, all the pieces that they have, everybody has
(04:02):
to be healthy obviously for them to be able to
compete in the NFC if they want to be able
to move forward. I believe next year, But for this season,
I don't think they make the playoffs. I think they're
sitting at home. And you know what, man, I want
to send my prayers and my condolences out to Trent
Williams and his family. You know, they went through something
(04:27):
a few weeks ago. I'm not going to put it
out there for everybody to you know, to hear, but
if you do, man, pray for him and his family
of what they have been going through for the last
couple of weeks. But back to the forty nine ers,
I just think that the windows closed. Kyle Shanahan is
not going anywhere. If you understand the relationship with Mike
(04:47):
Shanahan and John Lynch, him being a ball boy growing
up and John Lynch playing free safety and Mike Shanahan
being his coach, They've been knowing each other basically their
whole lives. So he's not going anywhere. But the forty
nine is going to have to basically, I think just
start over, because I would say eighty five percent of
(05:08):
the offense comes from CMC and if he is not
great or being the elite, I just don't think that
this offense will be able to be as productive as
we have seen over the fast few years. If all
these pieces pieces aren't in play. Yeah, I feel like
you make some good points there. They're five and seven,
(05:31):
so I definitely do not see them being able to.
Speaker 5 (05:37):
Make this run.
Speaker 4 (05:38):
Now.
Speaker 6 (05:38):
Granted, the Seahawk two are a top of the NFC West,
are only at seven wins, so it's not what we
consider to be what's going to be one of the
stronger divisions in the NFL.
Speaker 4 (05:52):
They have not turned out to be.
Speaker 6 (05:53):
The Cardinals are six win team, the Rams are a
six win team, just not very impressive terms of what
the division should be representing. But I still do not
see where this team currently is them being able to
turn it around enough to be able to do it
this season.
Speaker 5 (06:13):
But it is possible. It is certainly possible.
Speaker 6 (06:16):
I mean, if you look at what they have have
left and what they're doing games wise, there are the
opportunities there. I mean, they have the Bears tomorrow. I
mean they should be able to get that. They have
the Rams. The Rams are pretty good, but they have
them at home, so that could be a good one
for them. Then they have the Dolphins. You know, who
knows how that plays out for him. The Dolphins haven't
(06:38):
been playing as well as they did when they first
started the season. There are some opportunities for them to
possibly salvage this season.
Speaker 5 (06:47):
And make it into the playoffs.
Speaker 6 (06:48):
How likely that is with the injuries that they're fighting against,
It's probably not very likely.
Speaker 5 (06:54):
Plex But I will say this.
Speaker 6 (06:56):
It leads to my questioning, and I think you kind
of touched on it a little bit.
Speaker 5 (07:00):
I'm wondering.
Speaker 6 (07:02):
I do believe the window of opportunity for them to
be even if they were to find a way as
a wild card into the playoffs, I do not think
that they'll have great success in in the playoffs. So
I think the window of opportunity to being a Super
Bowl contender this season is definitely a ship that has sailed.
Speaker 4 (07:20):
Everybody had forty in the Super Bowl this year. Well,
the number one team I have, I have though they
had just lost.
Speaker 6 (07:30):
Everybody has huh. I ain't a part of everybody. I
got Detroit in the Super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (07:36):
I don't believe. I don't believe you had the I did.
Speaker 5 (07:39):
I did.
Speaker 6 (07:41):
It's written down I had. I had Kansas City versus
Detroit and the Super Bowl. Well everybody in Kansas City three.
Speaker 5 (07:49):
Yeah, and the studio we're looking at it right now. Yeah,
Detroit lines. What does the tart say, bo.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
I know I did?
Speaker 7 (08:02):
It does not say Detroit Lions, LeVar arring. What does
it say? What does it say?
Speaker 8 (08:06):
Look, it does say LeVar picked the Lions.
Speaker 5 (08:09):
Yes, thank you, thank you.
Speaker 4 (08:12):
Yeah. I didn't have to ask my picks on the board.
Speaker 5 (08:16):
Well, whose fault is that? Stratton Casey would.
Speaker 6 (08:22):
Hey, but I will say I will say the question
it has led me and you kind of touched on
it is, While I think the window of opportunity to
be a Super Bowl winder winner or contender this year
is closed, what does that mean for Kyle Shanahan and
the forty nine ers. Can they open the window moving
into the future? And how long does that take? That's
(08:45):
the question in my mind is resonating.
Speaker 7 (08:48):
You're looking at this whole situation with the forty nine
ers next year because just like you said, I don't
think this season you know they make the playoffs of
salvage the rest of the season. Mean, where are you
a as far as moving forward?
Speaker 6 (09:02):
Yeah, with franchise quarterback, it's a great question. I think
that that becomes one of the biggest questions. How do
you pay him? How like do you believe that you
can move forward? Because there are going to be some
There're going to be some compromising situations in terms of
with CMC. He's been paid all that money, but can
he stay healthy? This is a different team without cemac
(09:24):
and with Brandon Ayu. Don't expect him to come back
just be out the gate and be this game changer
back to normal next season. I mean, that's a serious
injury that he took. And there's other guys that you
got to figure out how are you going to keep
them on this team? I think John Lynch has his
work cut out for him. And if I were a
betting man, this is where you say John Lynch and
(09:48):
Kyle Shanahan are brilliant and genius. Is all of the
credit credit that they've been given through the years. They
have done a great job building up to getting to
Super Bowls and being competitive, But this to me, where
they're at now, Can they do it again?
Speaker 5 (10:03):
Can they do it now?
Speaker 6 (10:04):
In these situations and these circumstances that to me, it's
going to play a major part. I don't know how
it feels, but it's certainly the question I find myself
asking looking at this forty nine Ers team right now.
Speaker 7 (10:19):
Yeah, I mean, I think you make a great point.
I mean, how do they rebound from this?
Speaker 4 (10:23):
Uh?
Speaker 7 (10:24):
You know, mov them forward? Christ McCaffrey can't stay healthy.
I just don't think that they are the same football
team when obviously nobody is. But when they don't have
these five or six All Pro players on offense, they're there,
they're average football team, and it makes the quarterback situation,
(10:46):
it makes bark Party look average. And defensively, they had
the best defensive football all of last year? I mean
what happened with that? Why the drop off?
Speaker 4 (10:55):
So?
Speaker 7 (10:56):
I think there's going to be to a lot of
questions that John Lysch is going to have to answer
as far as him, you know, uh, you know, building
this team back up. I mean, what is it gonna
take because Deebo Sam's going to want a contract, uh
coming up? George Kittle is getting a year older. So
there are a lot of contributed factors to this team
offensively and defensively, because you look at Minnesota moving forward,
(11:20):
you look at Detroit where they're at right now, Jordan
Love is going to be present in the NFC. So
a lot of these young teams are getting there and
they're getting fast. Yes they are, Yes they are. It's
a great point. And you know what, he's a great dude.
That's Stretch Armstrong, superhero known as Plexico burs when he's
on his normal, everyday civilian walking around, uh you know,
(11:43):
T shirt and jeans on. But I tell you what,
he brings the pain and we're gonna keep bringing the pain.
And we're gonna bring cups the legend in after this break.
Oh well yeah, yeah, yep.
Speaker 6 (11:54):
We're gonna get eyeload to give us an update on

signed and now are officially parts of their college football communities.
A Golden Domer and then a Nitney Lyon, and you
know TJ's on that journey with a young man by
the name of Crew who is an amazing athlete himself
in his own right, just very young and upcoming. So
(13:09):
you know, good luck to him and what he's got
going on. Here's what we're going to do. We're going
to get an update from mister Isaac Lohincron, who is
the man, the myth, the legend himself, before we bring
Cuff the Legend, another legend onto the show.
Speaker 5 (13:25):
So Ilo, the floor is yours, sir.
Speaker 8 (13:28):
Thank you, LeVar, and let's start at eighteen and T
Stadium in Arlington with a big twelve championship game where
they have three minutes and twenty five seconds left to
play in the second quarter, and number fifteen Arizona State
holding a seventeen to ten lead over sixteenth ranked Iowa State.
Moments ago, Arizona State had a third down and ten
(13:48):
at the Iowa State twenty nine yard line, but Iowa
State just sacked Arizona State quarterback Sam Levin for a
nine yard loss, so they're back to the Iowa State
thirty eight yard line facing a fourth down and eighteen.
Speaker 3 (14:02):
Off the field.
Speaker 8 (14:03):
Multiple outlets supported today that Oklahoma State and Mike Gundy
have agree but in place for Gundy to continue as
head coach on a restructured contract. In the NFL, the
Kansas City Chiefs have just placed receiver and their primary
returner McCole Hardman on injured reserve due to a knee injury.
ATFL Media reports that the Philadelphia Eagles are placing tight
(14:24):
end Dallas Goddard on injured reserve due to a knee injury. Goddard,
as well as Hardening, we might add, will both be
eligible to return for the final week of the regular season.
The Cleveland Browns have placed left tackle Jedrick Wills and
defensive tackle Maurice Hurst on injured reserve, and the New
York Jets downgraded running back the Briefs Hall to out
for Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins.
Speaker 3 (14:47):
Lucky him back to you, guys, get a.
Speaker 6 (14:50):
Little bit of a break from all the chaots going
on there. Lucky enjoy that time off, but get healthy.
Brief all right, without further ado talking football, I mean
we can because he can talk football. He does talk
up his sports. But when you hear this, it's time
for Cuffs the legend.
Speaker 5 (15:09):
Baby, Now it's.
Speaker 2 (15:12):
Time to check in with Cuffs, the legend from some
dude show podcast on Up on Game Presents, Cuffs is
giving you a spicy takes on what's going down.
Speaker 4 (15:22):
He can pick the heat like Lebron And.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
Now here's Cuffs the legend.
Speaker 5 (15:28):
It's gold time.
Speaker 2 (15:31):
Legend.
Speaker 5 (15:35):
What up? What up? What up? Cuffs the legend Some
dude show podcast. How you feeling, man?
Speaker 6 (15:42):
You know, Pletch is ready for you now, tjays off.
You know Crew, his son is playing basketball. You'll be
happy to hear that. So they're at a big time
tournament and he's competing. But it's me and Stretch, and
I know he's been waiting, uh to get a hold
of you.
Speaker 5 (15:56):
No diddy and pause.
Speaker 4 (15:57):
There you go. There we go going.
Speaker 9 (16:01):
First off, I come in peace, man, like I come
in peace. I want to say, I'm dead serious. I
want to take congrats to Plastical. You know your medium
wash right now. I see your son. I seen him
doing his thing. I see him with the Notre Dame
stuff on. So shut after you man being acted that.
I come in peak man.
Speaker 4 (16:22):
All right, there you go. You know what.
Speaker 7 (16:23):
You may not believe this, but I actually text t
J and LeVar. I think it was like Monday or
Tuesday because I was just so excited to talk about
the state of your Los Angeles Lakers.
Speaker 9 (16:35):
Man.
Speaker 7 (16:35):
It's just, you know, just to take your you know,
just get your take on what's going on with your
with your favorite NBA organization.
Speaker 9 (16:46):
I gotta be honest, man, I mean, I know the
haters have arrived. I know you are a big time lakern.
Speaker 5 (16:55):
Hat.
Speaker 9 (16:55):
I just we're not gonna get distracted. I'm gonn answer
your question directly. I'mna be honest here. Man. We aren't
up on game. I'm gonna put y'all up on games.
The Lakers of Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Lakers are cooks.
Speaker 4 (17:07):
Fans say that.
Speaker 9 (17:10):
It hurts me to say I'm a realistic basketball fan
more than anything outside of being in the media being
a journalist. Man, I'm really a fan. We all are.
The Lakers are cooking.
Speaker 5 (17:21):
It's hovering.
Speaker 6 (17:24):
JJ Reddick ain't got them heading towards the finals.
Speaker 9 (17:29):
Now, we're not gonna do We're not gonna blame JJ.
We're not gonna do that.
Speaker 4 (17:33):
We're not We're not gonna.
Speaker 9 (17:38):
No prayer. The Lakers are suffering from a bad case
of roster construction, and the finger that the fan base,
the real Laker fans know what's going on. Rob Polinka.
The pressure is on Rob Polinka because if you look
at this, yeah, the jig is over. If you look
(18:00):
at his roster, He's had ample opportunities the last two seasons,
the last two trade deadlines to really put some I
would say, some needle moving pieces around lebron ad and
he hasn't done that. And he's made marginal moves around
the edges like role players. But we've seen these guys. Now,
no disrespect to Jared Branderbilt, you know, I don't know
(18:21):
if he want to be a fashion noble model or what.
Like you, I don't know if he really want to play
basketball no more. They got to take these guys. There's
no shocks that these guys. But they got to take
all these guys, put them in a nice head of
more arrangement, and just ship them off Amazon Prime. You
got to get some big dogs in here to help.
Speaker 7 (18:39):
I feel like, you know what, I'm gonna just be
honest with you, man. I think last night when they
lost that game to Atlanta kind of it took a
little bit out of the sales for the Lakers because
they've really played hard on Lebron Chipple double and they
really wanted to win this game. But what I can't
understand for the life of me is why why is
(18:59):
it that like Anthony Davis gonna be so great and
as soon as he runs into the Denver Nuggets and Jokers,
he's like a high school basketball player. He never shows
up when the Lakers need him when they play against
the Denver Nuggets.
Speaker 4 (19:14):
That was one thing I noticed.
Speaker 7 (19:16):
And then I'm gonna take one of your slogans and
feed it to.
Speaker 4 (19:19):
You, Lebron James.
Speaker 7 (19:21):
Man, we all know that his dream and everybody wanted
to see him and his son and play together. They
did that. They accomplished that. He's in his twenty second season.
He'll be forty years old December to thirty. But you
know what comes. He just can't move to puppies no more.
That's just what it is for all the time. It's here,
(19:44):
and I'm gonna tell you this, this is Lebron James's
farewell tour. Last season should have been his last season.
I think he's gotten ten to this year. The team
was what twelve and eleven, the ranked tenth in the
Western Conference. I don't think they're gonna put compete going
down after the All Star Game and he said his
time is very limited, which you know in senuaates to
(20:06):
me that this is going to be his last year.
Speaker 4 (20:10):
And this is Lebron James's farewell tour.
Speaker 7 (20:15):
It is without him saying that this is going to
be the last year that we get to watch Lebron
James play professional basketball.
Speaker 9 (20:24):
It wouldn't surprise me, Flax. It would surprise me because
I would say, knowing Lebron personally, he's an unpredictable guy.
Like he we've seen all the moves he's made in
the past. He's he's he's kept a lot of things private,
and he's done a good job being insulated. There are
blues cluths. I think I remember the old cartoon like
(20:44):
there are Yeah, it's it's it's some remnants right now
if you really pay attention, the te leaves is there,
man like he's he's playing for the love of the games.
Like last night against Atlanta Hawks, I saw Lebron out
there point and they reminded me of Lebron from ten
years ago having fun. He was making crazy shot one leg.
He shot a three off one foot lest he was
(21:07):
it was in his bag. But Lebron should not have
to carry the Lakers at forty years old. He's gonna
be forty years old in a few weeks. He shouldn't
be carrying the Lakers. That's my point about Rob Paulinka.
You if you here's here's the ultimatum. Are you gonna say, loo,
Lebron look your last year. Maybe you know we didn't.
We didn't do right by you, like we didn't do
(21:27):
right by Kobe his last two or three years.
Speaker 4 (21:29):
Right.
Speaker 9 (21:30):
I want to keep his spicy. The organization the Lakers organization.
We saw how Kobe went out by his last couple
of years with the Lakers. They had a terrible roster
around him. They paid him a big salary, but it
was not right. It shouldn't have ended that way, and
I feel like with this thing with Lebron, it shouldn't
end his way. But look, here's a question. The question
(21:51):
is Rob Polenka, Jenny Buzz. Lebron gonna keep his crib
in LA. He gonna have his real estate in LA.
But for that farewell tour next season, if he cooks
back for that next season, let Lebron go back to
Cleveland that last year.
Speaker 7 (22:04):
Man, can you think that he can hold up for
a whole nother entire NBA basketball.
Speaker 9 (22:12):
Feel in great shake, Let's let's not get it messed up, Plat.
Last night he had a thirty nine point triplele he could,
but those.
Speaker 7 (22:18):
Are the Knights that are going to kill him moving forward.
Speaker 9 (22:22):
No, That's what I'm saying, Plack. He should. Lebron understands
now he can slide over to be the second or
the third option. Imagine a team with Lebron James as
the third option or the two b some nights.
Speaker 5 (22:35):
And who is that team and on certain.
Speaker 9 (22:38):
Nights he can be the one a when he wanted
right when he's in that when that bag like you
saw last night.
Speaker 6 (22:43):
Is he willing to take that type of contract though
it's Cleveland.
Speaker 9 (22:47):
I think he'd take a pay cup for a one
year situation. I would say this on the record, Canthy.
Speaker 6 (22:52):
Dope if he if he retired as a Cleveland, Cleveland Cavalier,
it'll be amazing.
Speaker 3 (22:57):
Man.
Speaker 9 (22:57):
They put the real back up in Cleveland. Yeah, put
the mural back up right across everybody coming.
Speaker 5 (23:05):
But if they're a different mural, right, it'd be the
same deal. Witness. But he had like a cane in
his hand and.
Speaker 4 (23:10):
Like, but it's not even hey.
Speaker 9 (23:14):
For me, for me with Lebron, or could we see
Lebron team up with Steph Curry right down the road.
Speaker 7 (23:25):
This is the thing with Lebron when you're seeing him
going to a team and him being the second and
third option, it's not I'm not even worried about it
from from a contractual standpoint, because I mean, I mean,
what he got everything that you can possibly imagine. But
is he willing to take the batman to be to
be a second and third option on the basketball team.
Speaker 9 (23:49):
He's the most self He's the most unselfish superstar we've
ever seen in the NBA. Bro, look at the number.
The numbers don't lie. It's I'm leadership Lebron. Bron be
happy right now. If the Lakers bring in Brandon Ingram
right now, he'll be happy.
Speaker 6 (24:06):
Okay, Well, let me throw this one at you. I
know y'all talking about the durability of Lebron and he's
aging and can he make it through another season?
Speaker 3 (24:16):
Ye?
Speaker 5 (24:16):
Can Joel Embiid make it through this season? What's going on?
Speaker 6 (24:21):
Well?
Speaker 9 (24:21):
Man?
Speaker 6 (24:22):
Like? Can will he ever be able to be healthy?
And what does that look like? You know, this Sixers
team is not looking good right now, and you know
Joel Embiid has always been a catalyst for them. I
love MAXI, but it just ain't the same team if
Joel Ebid isn't out there.
Speaker 9 (24:42):
Joel and he looks like Joel Embiid right now, at
this stage of his career, at this juncture, he looks
like Phoenix Sunshack right now. Oh no, that's what he
looked like like. He could still get you thirty certain night,
twenty five or more, but he doesn't. He doesn't just
I don't think he really want to hoop. No, some
of these guys, man, y'all know it playing in the
(25:02):
NFL all those years. It's some guys, once they really
get established, they really get a couple of big contracts
under their belt, they don't have that same that same vigor.
They don't have it. And I don't think him or
Paul George have really the heart. They're not dogs. Man.
So the answer your question, all that's trying Danny Joelle.
Even if he came back and played the rest of
(25:23):
the season, I don't think it's gonna matter. The plasticast boys,
the Boston Celtics aren't going to repeat.
Speaker 6 (25:29):
Man.
Speaker 9 (25:29):
We gotta be honest with ourselves.
Speaker 7 (25:30):
Hey, I'm gonna find like because they play the Memphis
Grilles to night. So that's that's my sleep for right now.
Coming out of the Western Conference is Jaba a healthy
Jama Rent and the Memphis grizzon two games, They two
games out of be in first place in the Western
(25:51):
Conference right now, and we just basically talking about Jama
Rant Man. He is carrying this basketball team and he's
showing everybody how good he is in his lea.
Speaker 5 (26:02):
The Cavaliers and some beat while y'all sleeping on the calves.
Speaker 4 (26:05):
We're talking about Western Conference.
Speaker 5 (26:06):
You gotta take it out of the East. You gotta
make it out of the East before you with the West.
Speaker 7 (26:12):
They not they're not beating a healthy Milwaukee and they
won't be the healthy boat washing basketball team healthy Milwaukee
right now.
Speaker 4 (26:20):
No, no, no, I'm.
Speaker 5 (26:22):
Not buying that.
Speaker 7 (26:23):
No, the Cleveland Cavaliers are not beating Giannis and Dane
if they're healthy, and they're damn showing.
Speaker 9 (26:29):
Can we give? Can we get Jacob? Can we get Jayson?
Take them from MVP love because I feel like my
light skinker Pondre. Maybe because he.
Speaker 6 (26:36):
Got y'all out of style.
Speaker 5 (26:38):
Bro, you fighting for him, but they out of style?
Speaker 9 (26:41):
Man, Yeah, I don't know what's going on.
Speaker 5 (26:43):
You see who's up for the high?
Speaker 9 (26:50):
Can we please the Bard? Can we please? Jason Tatum
is averaging twenty eight point eight rebounds five and says
the Celticas are looking like a juggernaut they got for
Zingis back in the mix now. And also, if you
sow last night speaking of moving the buppies, like Jayson
Tatum was strapping up honest in crunch time, moments. So like,
I feel like Jayson Tatum is always going to be
(27:11):
overlooked because he plays on a great team. He got
good players around him. Deeric White, you know he got
Jaylen Brown Finals MVP, but please stop exactly why.
Speaker 5 (27:21):
You know what?
Speaker 6 (27:22):
That's exactly why they and Jordan too, because they played
over it.
Speaker 7 (27:26):
One of the reasons why I believe that Jason Tatum
is not receiving the love and the you know, for
the MVP and attentions.
Speaker 5 (27:34):
He disappears. There's no style points with him.
Speaker 7 (27:39):
I think that kind of plays into what I'm just
I'm just telling you, man, it's not flashy, but he
just goes out and dominates basketball games because I believe
that that plays a part into him being recognized as
being one of the best players in the world.
Speaker 5 (27:58):
I really do.
Speaker 9 (27:59):
He took me, honest to the woodshed last night, Blacks
in front of.
Speaker 7 (28:03):
Them, telling you what I've seen over the last few years.
Speaker 9 (28:07):
He's talk two but.
Speaker 4 (28:10):
I'm not saying, but.
Speaker 6 (28:12):
Hold on, Will you agree that Jason Tatum has nights
where he just literally pulls.
Speaker 5 (28:19):
A vanishing act. He disappears at times.
Speaker 9 (28:23):
He's done that in certain moments in his career, but
this past NBA Finals, he shut up all that noise.
He almost averaged a triple double in the final, and honestly,
I feel like he did deserve the finals MVP. I
wasn't mad that Jyalen Brown got it, but I feel
like Jason Tatum's numbers were better than Brown's, but for
some reason, they women Brown because he averaged a few
(28:43):
more points to him. But if you look back at
the finals numbers, I want to say Tatum averaged like
ten eleven rebounds, almost six to seven assist. Tatum has
silenced all the naysayers as far as his heart, him
not being a dog like Tatum is the complete package.
He impressed me last night because the defense events I
throw him step up to the challenge, and he was
guarding Yannis in those in those tough moments down in
(29:07):
clutch sim So that's what I'm saying, Like, I feel
like him and Jalen Brown have a chip on their
shoulder because you saw what happened in the Olympics. We
see what's happening with Jaylen Brown and Nike and different organizations.
Team you had say, man, those guys in Boston got
a chip on their shoulder. And I think we might
be looking at another version of Jordan and Pippen. When
they run off a repeat, we might have three.
Speaker 4 (29:29):
I agree with them. I agree with you.
Speaker 7 (29:32):
If I'm not saying that they the Jordan, but I
believe that they are the best duo in all of basketball.
And I will say that they are the favorite and
my favorite to win the win the championship.
Speaker 9 (29:49):
If you take away them choking. They choked against Golden
State two years ago. They should be two rings up
right now. That's what I'm saying. They're still young, They're
in their primes right now. For Zingets is back al
horfor Peyton Pritcher gonna win the six minut of the y.
I'm putting my money bet to Bacon on the Celtic.
That's what I'm saying. I think the Celtic's gonna repeat.
Speaker 5 (30:07):
Who's your dark horse? Since we're talking right now, who's
the dark horse out here?
Speaker 9 (30:14):
I don't think the thunder are considered a dark horse,
but the okaysee thunder Man, get.
Speaker 5 (30:22):
That's not a dark horse. Yeah, give me a real
New York.
Speaker 9 (30:25):
The New York Micks have a line.
Speaker 4 (30:27):
Hang hang the phone up, man, Hang up the phone.
The New York.
Speaker 5 (30:32):
You know, hear me out tell us, why tell us,
why come on here.
Speaker 9 (30:38):
Called Anthony Towns. He has turned into a monster. Now
he's no longer god.
Speaker 5 (30:45):
I did not believe.
Speaker 9 (30:46):
No way New York Pizza. I don't know if the
New York food or if the Latino New York. I
don't know what it is. He's on another level right now.
Speaker 7 (30:56):
Boston Celtics, we know that, no count the Boston Celtics.
Speaker 9 (31:01):
They got o Ganoby's playing great right now. You already know,
like Josh Hart gonna be a you kill the guy.
Don't sleep on the Knicks. Flash it's gonna go tick
or seven games? Did y'all see them in the garbage finals?
Gets the Cavs don't fold.
Speaker 6 (31:17):
I don't know, man, I was I was looking for.
I mean, I thought you might have went to you know, Oklahoma.
Well you did say Oklahoma, but I was thinking about im,
thinking like maybe you might go with Houston.
Speaker 5 (31:29):
Maybe you might throw.
Speaker 4 (31:30):
The games out of first place.
Speaker 9 (31:34):
Yeah, I thought that might be. I've been speaking Hoghy
on the rockets every time I've been on here to
left double one.
Speaker 6 (31:39):
I know That's why I thought that I thought you
might throw them out there that they're looking pretty dog
one good.
Speaker 9 (31:44):
Man I think they need. I think I think we're
gonna see a move with them. I think they realized that.
I think Jabari Smith Jr. Might be the odd man
out in Houston. I love his game, but I think
they're gonna use him as a trade hip to bring
in a veteran because I think they need one more
stretch big be a stretch for or a wing they
can bring in like a good three, a three and
(32:04):
D guy or stretch forward. I think if they get
that veteran gud I would say like a because you
imagine if the Pacers traded Siakam a player like that
to Houston at more and punch. They need more more
guy because Salen Green. Salen Green is not dependable right
now for the Rockets, and that kind of scares me.
I don't like how Jalen Green they consist it up
(32:25):
and down scoring. But I love Fred Van Vliet game
right now for them and sing Goon Man, I feel
like Alfred sing Goon for Houston. I call him baby
Yokic bm Perk always say that on the live stream. Man,
I'm telling you, sing Goon is that guy so I
think that's really a dark horse as well, because they've
barely hit the playoffs last year. Levard but they almost
got in last year, but you dope and got them
(32:45):
young boys Hungary in Houston.
Speaker 6 (32:47):
Plug the show before we let you go plug, Plug
your plug, before we let you get up out of here.
Speaker 4 (32:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (32:53):
I do. The live stream on playback is playback dot
tv slash cup to Leeds and I got a live
stream show Tuesday, me and Big Perk Kendrick Perkins. You
come on every live streaming. It's a watch party, y'all
can just pull up me watching the game. You got
the live chat. It's unfiltered, so it's just like you're
watching a game just like Payton Elo style with the
with the watch party. Appreciate it.
Speaker 5 (33:14):
That's cuffs the legend right there. Y'all always brings the noise.
Speaker 6 (33:17):
We appreciate you as always coming on and giving us
your wisdom and your analytics and analysis of everything that's
going on. All right, this is up on game. We're
gonna take a quick break. On the other side, we're
gonna do something up on game. Down on game. I
am the man at this I do dominate. And so
when we get back I will dominate Plexico burds. That's
(33:39):
probably the reason why TJ didn't do the show today
is because I shall dominate up on Game, Down on Game.
You're listening to Up on Game. This is Fox Sports Radio,
spletchco bursts. I'm LeVar Arrington. TJ's off. We'll be right back.
Speaker 10 (33:54):
Hang and get to know you mad Come on now
this Christmas?
Speaker 6 (34:05):
Yeah, all right, up on Game. We're back live from
tyrack dot com Studios. It's been a good show. Plexico
burst myself, LeVar Arrington, TJ took.
Speaker 5 (34:18):
The day off.
Speaker 6 (34:20):
Yeah, let's let's let's finish this thing up the right
way by me dominating plex Cohen.
Speaker 4 (34:29):
Uh some up on game, down on Game.
Speaker 3 (34:31):
Let's time for some kicks. Are you up on game?
Let's break this up.
Speaker 9 (34:37):
Let's break it up.
Speaker 5 (34:41):
Now.
Speaker 6 (34:42):
I know I'm the dominant one here both, but do
you have any like numbers?
Speaker 5 (34:49):
You are not elated? What's the latest on what we
got going on? Last week?
Speaker 1 (34:54):
TJ and Plax they went to five hundred both three
for three last week.
Speaker 5 (34:59):
Okay three wrong last week.
Speaker 6 (35:01):
See, I gave them, I gave them the opportunity to
go five hundred and b week on what they doing.
All right, let's knock this one down. Let's go, let's
get it done.
Speaker 1 (35:09):
This week herel we're gonna start. The Carolina Panthers head
up to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles. The Eagles
a dreaded double digit favorite here thirteen and a half
points almost two touchdowns for the Eagles in this one.
The total currently said it over forty five and a half,
So LaVar will start with you.
Speaker 5 (35:29):
I'm gonna take the under on the points.
Speaker 6 (35:33):
But I, however, do believe that they will not beat
them by that large of an amount. I think Carolina's
playing okay right now, okay enough to not.
Speaker 5 (35:43):
Lose that bad. So I'm gonna take Carolina with the points.
Speaker 7 (35:52):
Well, I'm taking the Philadelphia Eagles for sure. I'm going
over forty five. I think Carolina busmos defensively and they'll
win by more than thirteen. I say they win by
two touchdowns.
Speaker 5 (36:07):
All right.
Speaker 1 (36:08):
Next up, the Buffalo Bills come out here to Los Angeles.
Sunny Los Angeles. The Bills a three and a half
point favorite on the road here, the total currently said
at forty nine and a half, and Plax will start
with you.
Speaker 4 (36:20):
This is going to be a very high scoring football game.
Speaker 7 (36:23):
I'm going over on a total of the points, and
I believe, when it's all said and done, that this
Buffalo Bills led Josh Allen football team will win this
game by ten points.
Speaker 6 (36:37):
I'm gonna agree with plex on that one. I am
going to go with that as my but. But I
will say this, I'm going to take the under again
on the total.
Speaker 1 (36:49):
Okay, all right, last one here. The Chicago Bears head
to San Francisco to take on the forty nine Ers.
Both teams a little bit of turmoil. The Bears obviously
fired e Refluce. Maybe they get that dead cat bounce.
The forty nine Ers, however, a three and a half
point favorite in this one. The total currently said it
forty three and a half.
Speaker 7 (37:09):
I'm going I'm going over on the points. I believe
that this is the weekend that the Champsago forty nine
Ers are better than a three point team against the
Chicago Bears. So I'm gonna take the over on the points.
They go out offensively, and I'm going to take the
San Francisco forty nine Ers with the over.
Speaker 6 (37:31):
Now, I'm going to take the points. They won't win
by more than three. In fact, if I'm being honest,
I'm going money line. I'd be willing the money line
that there is going to be an upset with the
Bears winning this game over the crippit beat down, beat up,
(37:51):
Warren down, Warren out San Francisco forty nine ers. So
you know what, that's what I'm going to do, bo,
I'm going to money the Chicago Bears.
Speaker 1 (38:03):
Mmm, you got the you got the over the under
on the forty year and a half.
Speaker 5 (38:06):
There, I'm gonna take that over on that perfect Okay. Yeah,
so there we go.
Speaker 1 (38:11):
That's again.
Speaker 6 (38:13):
Yeah, okay, So we got a couple more minutes left
plex before we get up out of here. So I
gotta ask you, what is your favorite, uh, what's your
favorite holiday season tradition or something that.
Speaker 4 (38:27):
You really like doing this time of the year. My
favorite holiday tradition.
Speaker 7 (38:34):
Is that me and my guys we get on the
boat and we go down to Atlantic Highlands and Sandy
Hook and we fish a day before Thanksgiving. And that's
been my thing, like for the last five or six
years because if you don't know, like the Blues and
the Stripers are running from mind talk all the way
(38:56):
down South and it's like a feeding frenzy for these
for these stripe And it's just one of those things man,
where we kind of have like these unconventional Thanksgivings with
you know, uh, grilled fish and you know, fries, whiting,
all stone crabs and all of these things. So that
(39:18):
is my tradition that I enjoy. Me and my boys. Man,
we get out there and we fished the day before Thanksgiving.
We filed all up at the dock, seizing it, come home,
put it on a grill while I thanksgiving.
Speaker 5 (39:32):
Bamn. Well, that's pretty cool, man. I enjoy that.
Speaker 4 (39:35):
Yep.
Speaker 6 (39:36):
I enjoy going out there and fishing and catching them
fish with my boys and us doing that and bringing
it home and doing that on the grill things.
Speaker 4 (39:42):
Speaking of fish, speaking of fishing.
Speaker 7 (39:44):
Man, also sending prayers out to my guy Randy Moss, Man,
my big fisherman. Me and him went down and competed
in the catch this year. Man, one with a great
vage prayers of Randy Moss.
Speaker 6 (39:55):
Okay, all right, uh, well, I'll tell you what. I
can't hear any thing in my ears right now, but
I will say this. We are wrapping up this show,
and as you mentioned, thoughts and prayers out to Randy
Moss as well. So hopefully you guys can hear me,
because okay I can't. Okay, I heard that, all right? Yeah,
(40:17):
Jonas Knox is up next. This is up on game
Is Fox Sports Radio. We'll talk to you next week, guys,
