Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio. No, Yes, live
the dream once again here on a huge NFL Sunday.
This is Fox Sports Sunday and we are broadcasting live
from the tyrack dot com studios. Ty rack dot com.
We're gonna help get you there and unmatched selection, fast
free shipping, free road hats of protection, over ten thousand

(00:22):
recommending installers. Tyrack dot com the way tire buying should be.
Are you ready out there? We got nine games today
ready to kick off. Titans at Browns, Falcons at Lions,
Saints at Packers, Broncos at Dolphins, Chargers at Vikings, Patriots
at the Jets, Bills at the Commanders, and let's see here.

(00:44):
Hold on, I got more games here. I'm skipping ahead,
Texans at Jaguars, Colts at Ravens. And that is our
lineup nine games today, rich as you get ready on
this day today, You know a lot of people are
looking at this lineup of games saying not a lot
of sexy men, which usually means we're gonna have a
sexy Sunday morning. We're gonna get some games I predict

(01:05):
that are gonna go right down to the wire. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Well, desperation breeds great effort. Look at the Chargers Vikings
game for example. This couldn't be a more consequential matchup.
And anybody who hasn't seen the stat I'll repeat it
for you know the umpteenth time this week. If you
drop to oh to three on the year, you have
a two point five percent chance to make the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
That is so there is a chance. There is a chance.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
So one of these teams, Minnesota or Los Angeles is
gonna leave oh and three and still have a chance,
but only just a chance to make the postseason.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Brandon Staley feels like he's coaching for his job this
season and is firmly tucked behind that eight ball. Kevin O'Connell,
after having an unbelievable season in his rookie year as
a head coach in the National Football League, it feels
like there's been a little regression back to the mean
for the Vikings. They won a lot of close games
last season. They've lost two close games open this season.

(02:03):
This is arguably the matchup of the morning Slate or
early afternoon slate if you're listening to us on the
East coasts.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Well, and this is the difference in coaching, you know,
when so many NFL games come down to a single
score and you lose more than you win, that's the
death now for a coach. Last year you mentioned Kevin
O'Connell eleven to zero one score games, unprecedented in the
history of the NFL. Ended up losing a one score
game in the playoffs of the Giants, zero to two
and one score games. So things will even out for

(02:30):
the Chargers, and this game is just underway. The Chargers
have the ball first. The thing that really sets off
Charger fans about Brandon Staley is he came in as
a defensive coach. Right now, this team is thirty first
in the league in defense, thirty first in the league.
They have no defense. You have a franchise quarterback, but

(02:51):
he can only do so much. So unless this team
can turn around defensively, and we actually are showing the
defense that was promised the Chargers when they hired Brandon
Staley away from the Rams, where he had the number
one defense. Course it's easy when he got Aaron Donnell
in the middle of your defense afront, but that to
me is going to be the big story. And of
course this game you talk about an over under. I

(03:12):
think this thing opened at fifty one. It's at fifty
four in climbing, so this is a big over under
number for an NFL game. Had no question about it.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
And like you said, the Vikings defense, they got worse
this offseason, lost some key pieces to free agency and
did not do a lot of work in the draft
or free agency replacing those pieces. The Chargers, on the
other hand, have a lot of weapons defensively, Khalil Mack,
Joey Bosa, Derwin James. This defense should be better than
it was, especially the way Brandon Staley was lauded when

(03:45):
he was ahead taken as a defensive coordinator to be
the head of this football program, and it really has
gone sideways ever since he took over from that side
of the ball. Looks like the Vikings are going to
get the Chargers in a long third down situation, maybe
a third and twelve, third and thirteen here in the
opening drive from scrimmage for Los Angeles. Who's playing on
the road in Minnesota. Obviously, this is a committed fan

(04:08):
base and after last year, you're having big crowds, loud
crowds there and they need to win. There's no question
about this, it's a.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Sorry, and we got touchdown Dolphins. Whoa Tyreek Hill. It
didn't take long. You know, I was gonna mention the
fact that the Broncos another zero to two team. Sean
Pagan taken over as the head coach there, and Tua
just hit a wide open Tyreek Kill and once he's
out in the open, forget it. He just runs to glory.
So just like that, the Dolphins are on the board.

(04:37):
Fifty four yard touchdown pass to Tyreek Hill. So what's
going on in Denver right now? You know, Russell Wilson's
numbers are not awful, like his passer ratings well over
one hundred. He's had some decent numbers. But wow, I mean,
look how wide open Tyreek Hill is. No one picks
him up in the middle of the field. Yeah, and
that is a fatal mistake for that Denver de split.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Safety coverage and you had two crossing deep slant routes
and Tyreek Hill just was left, like you said, unattended.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
Is possible? Do you leave Tyreek Hill unattended?

Speaker 2 (05:12):
Well, what happens is when your backside safety bites on
a route over the middle, it just leaves a zone vacated,
and when you're running a split safety zone, it absolutely
can't happen. The safety always has to mind his deep
half of the field. He didn't, and so the Denver
Broncos started in a seven to nothing hole, which I

(05:33):
don't know anybody's paying attention what's going on in Denver.
It's looking better, it's looking better than it did a
year ago. It's looking a little bit more consistent, but
there are problems. They're taking too long getting out of
the huddle. Sean Payton called out Russell Wilson and said, yeah,
we need to get better with this, and if we
have to get to a wristband to do it, well,
we'll do it. And for whatever reason, that was a

(05:55):
big issue for Russell Wilson back into Seattle days, did
not want to use a wristband. There was all this
squabbling over whether or not he needs to use a wristband.
I don't understand why that's so embarrassing for him, But
if it's going to help the execution in and out
of the huddle, get you to the line of scrimmage
at say, I don't know, nineteen seconds instead of fifteen

(06:15):
or less seconds, where you can really truly take in
the picture of the defense and get the get to
the right, call the audible, whatever be the shift, the motions.
There's a lot of that in a Sean Payton offense.
For whatever reason he's resistant to it.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Well again, he put full blame on last year's Denver
disaster on Nathaniel Hackett, his predecessor. If the Broncos lose
this game at Miami and it's not looking good to
start this game, who's going to be to blame for
the zero to three start? Well, because I know Sean
Payton has never run to take blame for anything. It'll
be Russell Wilson.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
And here's the reason why, even if he plays well,
it almost doesn't matter, because I think if Russell Wilson
plays better but they're losing, what they're going to say, oh,
we need an even better quarterback because they're committed to
Sean Payton more so than they are to Russell Wilson.
And the proof is basically the way the conversation has

(07:10):
been coming. I think he's embolden. I had the conversation.
The way at least Sean Payton's carrying the narrative is
I'm calling all the shots here. Russell was a mess
last year. I'm trying to fix him. If it's unfixable, though,
you know he's going to encourage that front office to
move off of Wilson.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Interesting matchup going on right now, Titans and the Browns.
What a week was for the Browns, right? I mean,
they lose Nick Chubb on that horrifying knee injury, although
apparently not as bad as it could have been. I mean,
when your need goes sideways, that's not a good look.
Creem Hunt, by the way, already as a carrying this game.
He was re signed by the Browns. But the big
story last week is Deshaun Watson. He was literally having

(07:50):
a meltdown on the field. He got called for two
personal foul penalties. When do you see that from a quarterback?
A face mask on a quarterback, He even shoved an
official and got away that. Now in this opening drive
five for five forty one yards. Well, what do you
think's going on with Deshaun Watson where he would just
lose it as he seemingly was out of control throughout
that entire game last week.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
Yeah, it's it's a little strange to see a quarterback,
especially a quarterback that out of sorts, but it happens. Look,
he's he is a passionate football player, and I played
with a passionate football player in Philip Rivers. Now, in
terms of person completely different people, I think we all
can read behind between the lines there. But in terms

(08:34):
of like the competitor, yeah, we've seen a little bit
of that Deshaun Watson in the past. I also think
there's probably a fair amount of frustration because I bet
after everything that has been going on, the allegations of
sexual assault against multiple massage therapists that led to his suspension,
that led to a lot of rust being there. When

(08:56):
he came back to the field last year, he's he's
you're and anxious to get his career restarted and going
the right direction. But this is a National Football League, man,
Like every single team's good. It doesn't matter who you're playing.
You could be an for anh to nine team playing
against a nine to zero team. You still have a
chance to get a win. It's it's just there's that

(09:19):
much parody in this league, all right.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
So the Chargers punted away to the Vikings. Vikings on
the move right now, and as you mentioned with that
two percent stat, this is a do or die game
for these two teams, both projected by most prognosticators to
be in the postseason. Vikings were a thirteen win team
a year ago, not exactly a riveting division that they're

(09:41):
playing in, and the Chargers everyone just said, yeah, I know,
disastrous loss in the playoffs, but this team will be back.
They have too much talent. Well, we've seen it. Offensively,
Eckler's been out. That's that's not good for this Charger team.
He's been such a you know, I mean thirty three
straight starts the last two years, and now he misses
back to back games early on in the season after

(10:02):
being used a lot. In the opening game, we have
an interception by the Chargers. We have an interception about
the Chargers, So the Chargers is going to get the
ball right back on that interception Kirk Cousins.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
Third down opportunity for Kirk Cousins in the Minnesota Vikings
offense trying to force one there. Gilman comes up with
it for a secondary for the Chargers. This is actually
go to be a fumble recovery.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
He actually tore the ball out of Hawkinson's hands.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
Yeah, so TJ. Howkinson caught the ball secured it with
turning up field and this will be a forced fumble
fumble recovery for Gilman.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
That was impressive.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
What was going to say is the Chargers are missing j. C. Jackson,
who's coming off of the Pattel attendon injury from last year.
Is a healthy scratch today. Now healthy it's a very
odd term to use. He could be unhealthy and they
just don't want to report exactly how unhealthy he is.
But he will not be playing. So that's big for

(10:57):
the defense to generate a turn over because obviously they
missed him last year when he was off the field.
They didn't play particularly well when he was on the field,
but making up that ground early in the game. Also,
Austin Eckler a scratch from this game. He has a
hamstring issue he's dealing with again, which also that leads
us to the conversation we're having in the offseason. So

(11:19):
you have some injuries at running back across this league,
and it's some of the names you know, Nick Chubb,
Austin Eckler. Early this season, everybody's talking about, Hey, we're undervalued,
we're undervalued, We're undervalued. Sakwon Barkley, He's out with an ankle. Yeah, well,
this is what everybody was talking about. It's a high
turnover position because these guys get hurt so much, and

(11:42):
it's unfortunate for these guys. They're very talented and when
they're available, they impact the game. But this is the
reason why they've been Their value has been suppressed because
durability is an issue at that position.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
All right, we're just getting started. Nine games going on

Speaker 5 (13:01):
For Miami, they actually picked two or back to throw looking.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
Over the mid wide open Teryreek killed the twenty hell
the five.

Speaker 6 (13:10):
Touchdown with Miai Tyreek Hill wide open and man, the
rest is pure speed. Had to be a breakdown by
the Denver Broncos secondary Kali Tyreek killed that open?

Speaker 1 (13:23):
Are you kidding? Penzel? We are saying, are you kidding?
That was Fox Sports nine forty Dolphins Radio network and
the Dolphins with the seven to nothing lead against the
Denver Broncos. And by the way, they just scored again. Wow.
So the Dolphins now penny in the extra point a

(13:43):
thirteen to nothing league and early blitzkrieg of those Broncos.
This is Fox Sports a red Zone radio. We are
live from the Tirak dot Com studios. I a couple
of updates scoring wise. Here is where we stand right
now nine games. We just mentioned the Dolphins off to
this fourteen nothing lead now over the Broncos. Browns have
an early field goal up three to nothing over the Titans, Falcons, Lions,

(14:09):
no score. Saints have scored first seven nothing lead over
the Packers, Chargers, Vikings no score. Patriots have a field
goal three nothing lead at the Jets. Bills have a
field goal three nothing lead at the Commander's. Texans after
a big pass play have a seven to nothing lead
over the Jags. Ravens on a Lamar Jackson score up

(14:29):
over the Colt seven nothing as we mentioned, Dolphins fourteen
to nothing already over the hapless, winless Denver Broncos. And
we have a Chargers touchdown rich Oh, there you go,
there you go.

Speaker 2 (14:42):
Donald parm gets the reception from Justin Herbert go. One
of these zero and to two teams is on the board.
So the Chargers march the field, got all the way
down to the low red zone there inside the five
yard line, and just a quick out by param Waltz
is into the end zone in front of the front pylon,

(15:04):
and so la on the board on the road first
and the ensuing extra point is good. So seven toh
in league for the Chargers.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
Hiight, A couple of those scoring plays touchdown plays. Derek
Carr's touchdown pass was to the ageless Jimmy Graham. Jimmy
Graham still in this league. Yeah, I mean, you know
what's amazing. It's unbelievable.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
Jimmy Graham not only is in the league, but like
he's still he's still pretty good. Like you look at him,
he looks like he's still twenty. Yeah, I mean, the
dude's in phenomenal shape. It's just it's one of those things.
You know, who else was like that? And actually I'm
gonna look him up right now. Mercedes Lewis like he
could still be playing for all we know.

Speaker 1 (15:46):
Oh yeah, that's the title has a blocker. I mean,
he's always been that huge blocking tight end. By the way. CJ. Stroud,
who had announced standing game last week in a Texans loss,
completed a huge forty six yard pass to ten Dell
that set up a short touchdown run by Damian Pearce.
This is you know, Jacksonville. He'd be darned. Mercedes Lewis

(16:09):
is Chicago Bears tied up. I'm not surprised. Years old. Well,
I'll put it this way. I interviewed him. This is
your true story. Two thousand and five, the year that
Reggie Bush won the Heisman Trophy Matt Liner, that USC
team the lost to Texas. He was on the UCLA
team he blew. They blew out Ucla and I interviewed
him after the game. Maurice Jones Drew was coming off

(16:32):
the field. He looked at me like no chance, and
so I went right to Mercedes Lewis and he gave
me a good interview after being humiliated by USC. That
was eighteen years ago, yep, and here he is eight
four years ago, Cago Bears, who'll be taking on the
Kansas City Chiefs a little bit later on.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
Speaking of which we're gonna be joined by Kevin Burkhardt.
He's calling that game for Fox in the eleven o'clock hours,
so we'll catch up with him on Chiefs Bears. But yeah, dude,
the staying power that certain players have in this league,
and we're only going to see this continue. I mean
the game. Look, I'm not gonna say it's softer. I
think it's safer is the right way to say it.

(17:11):
The hits, especially on skilled position players are different. You know,
you can play a lot longer. So we're going to
look at the thirties in terms of age for a
lot of these skilled position players a lot differently than
we did in the past.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
All Right, So a lot of focus on these rookie quarterbacks.
Three of the top four picks, two of them are
not playing today. Anthony Richardson had the concussion last week.
He's out, So Gardner Minshew is in a quarterback and
Bryce Young as the Panthers later on today will be
on the road against the Seahawks, he is also out.
And it is a reminder again we talked about running

(17:47):
backs trying to keep your quarterback healthy and it's a
little bit of luck. It's also a little smart play
by quarterbacks understanding how to not take big hits when
you get rid of the ball. Of these mobile quarterbacks
trying to extend plays. Well, if you put yourself in
harm's way potentially for a longer period of time, the

(18:08):
odds are greater that you're gonna be harmed. Yeah, And
you know, when you think about the Tom Brady's and
the Philip Rivers and these incredibly durable quarterbacks over the years,
it didn't take a lot of hits. They didn't.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
They didn't and and well, look I mean some of
them did. Philip Rivers certainly took his fair share of damage.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
He played.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
He played behind some really terrible offensive lines over the
course of his.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
Career, except for the one you played on. Thank you,
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
We were decimated by injury in twenty fourteen, but twenty
thirteen we kept them upright, something like only twenty one
sacks on the season. But that's what it takes when
you have a relatively immobile pocket passer, If you protect them,
you get a lot out of them. And a lot
of these teams and what we're seeing with offensive line
play in general is it's not as it's not what

(18:55):
he used to be because a lot of these players
are rushing to get to the NFL, rushing to get
that payday, and they're not ready to play against grown
men who have been doing this pass rushing against opposing
quarterbacks for eight years at the all pro level. And
so a lot of these offensive tackles, especially even the
most highly touted players out of college football, they look

(19:17):
lost for a year or two at the NFL level
because they're still catching up to that speed.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
If you have two on your fantasy team, to a
tongue of I LOOI you're a very happy person right now.
He's six or six ninety four yards in a score
that is a perfect pass a rating of one fifty
eight to three. But it's not just the passing game.
They already have sixty two yards on the ground averaging
ten yards plus per carry. So that's one hundred and
fifty six yards of offense and half a quarter half

(19:43):
a quarter against this Denver Broncos team. So I get
back to Sean Paytey, you know, just throwing Nathaniel hack
It under the bus. This is not a good looking
good right now. No it is. This is looking ugly.

Speaker 2 (19:57):
Well, and on the other side of the coin, you
got to give where credit's due. Mike McDaniel is having
a coach of the Year type season, at least early on.
I know it's week three. I know this is way
too early to start talking MVPR coach of the year,
but when you look at what he's done offensively against
some of these teams on the road. Against the Chargers,
that was a score fest, but it was one that

(20:18):
they won. In the shootout against the New England Patriots,
against Bill Belichick and that defense, especially in Foxborough, they
took the lead and commanded that game the entire way.
And then now early on against Sean Payton, you're talking
about two Hall of Fame coaches in back to back weeks,
and Week two and Week three that seemed befuddled by

(20:39):
this offense that Mike McDaniel is running.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
Yeah, absolutely looking on target right now. Remember all those
concerns last year about the health of Tua tonguai Volo
and it's concussions and everything.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
He was talking retirement this offseason he was talking about
he strongly considered walking away from the game.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
Right now, he's looking like an MVP quarterback for this
Dolphins team. By the way, the Lions, Chris is very
excited on the board. His Lions get on the board
first against Atlanta seven and eight passing for Jared Goff
out of the box. I did not see that. Was
that a drive that stalled Chris and then had a
settle for feitl.

Speaker 7 (21:14):
Installed around the twenty years, so Falcons started bringing the
pressure in there and forcing Jared Goff to make the quick,
quick throws. Just not really get enough yardage right now, though,
Lions fans still have to be happy early with how
Sam Laporta the new draft rookie tight end O of
Iowa's playing right now.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
All right, we have points on the board in all
nine games going on right now with the NFL, and
that means it's time to find out what is trending.
And well, she stars in her own show on Saturdays
without a hurry now and then she still comes here
on Sundays to brave.

Speaker 8 (21:48):
Obviously, I'm gonna come hang out Sundays rat.

Speaker 9 (21:52):
This is the only way I get to watch all
nine games.

Speaker 1 (21:54):
You can't abandon us.

Speaker 9 (21:55):
I won't abandon you, thank you.

Speaker 1 (21:57):
So they sneak up on us like first couple of
weeks at eight games, yes, nine soon ten.

Speaker 9 (22:03):
We guys, we're pros now. Remember we're good now.

Speaker 8 (22:06):
So today some fun stuff has already happened, as we know,
a couple of injuries this week that are never fun.

Speaker 9 (22:11):
But Kareem Hunt rocked a Nick Chubb jersey.

Speaker 8 (22:14):
Coming into today's game, Stefan Diggs honored his brother Trevon Diggs,
who tore his ACL wearing his name on his black eye.
So they went out there ready to represent who mattered.
Let's talk about the scores right now. Browns are up
on the times by just a field goal late in
the first quarter, just like the Lions, also up on
the Falcons by a field goal late in the first
quarter as well.

Speaker 9 (22:34):
The Saints with the touchdown.

Speaker 8 (22:36):
Over the Packers at seven zero late in the first
as well. They are playing in Green Bay. The Dolphins
came out to a hot start. I'm not very happy.
I'm playing Bo Benson in our fantasy league and he
has Tyreek Hill, so.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
I'm not happy, and I'm gonna say it.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
I don't know if Denver is going to be able
to find a way to stop the bleeding here.

Speaker 8 (22:56):
I know at least the second touchdown wasn't Tyreek Hill,
so at least I have that going for me, guys.
Dolphins beating the Roncos at home fourteen zero ninety seconds
to go in the first quarter, the Chargers looking okay
against the Vikings seven zero late in the first as well,
Patriots with the field goal over the Jets in New York,
also late in the first All of these assumer late

(23:16):
in the first Bills with the field goal over the
Commander's Texans with a touchdown over the Jaguars, and the
Ravens thanks to Lamar Jackson, a one yard rushing touchdown
up on the Colts as well. So another big story
that came out was that Usher is going to headline
the Super Bowl. And I'm looking at how they told
the world. They made these skits using Coach Prime, Marshawn

(23:38):
lynch Odell, Beckham Junior, and I.

Speaker 9 (23:41):
Don't know why, but Kim Kardashian.

Speaker 8 (23:43):
So you guys remember Usher's Confession song where he tests
to tell his lady that he got somebody else pregnant,
and so at the beginning of the music video, he's
like in the studio, and they basically made four different
skits where he's in the studio. It's the same music
video and he answers the phone and one is co Prime.

Speaker 9 (24:00):
And he's like, hey, I gotta talk to you, and
she's like, hey, I'm in the studio, I'm working. You're
doing super Bowl.

Speaker 8 (24:05):
And it's the same skit using the same video of
Confessions with all these different people to tell him you
are doing the super Bowl.

Speaker 9 (24:12):
It's actually quite interesting.

Speaker 8 (24:14):
Again, I don't know why, Kim Kardashian whatever. And one
more thing, I'll tell you, the Angels have transferred Mike
Trout to the sixty Day.

Speaker 9 (24:22):
I l So he's officially done for the season.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
It's gonna say there's seven games left, he's gonna say
sixty days. Exception, you could have go ahead and did
that two weeks. You have to put him on the
sixty Yeah, but they did.

Speaker 9 (24:35):
They went bigger, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
And again when you think about how many games he
has missed over the last four years. Yeah, you know,
the guy was the best player in baseball. But not
when you're not on the field, not at all. Well,
you need to trade him. Who's going to trade for
a somebody? Mike trout is thirty seven million dollars a
year when he can't stay healthy. But Padres, Padres, their
season basically ended last night. They finally lost the game

(24:59):
in That was pretty much it. All right, Monzi, thank
you it so much. I'll talked you a little bit
later on. Once again, we're brought to by Progressive Insurance. Progression

Rich Ornberger with you and we have a Denver touchdown,

(25:22):
Russell Wilson to Courtland Sutton twelve yard touchdown pass. So
the Broncos trying to get back after spotting Miami fourteen.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
Out of the box. Yeah, and Russell Wilson did a
really nice job on this touchdown pass. So he drops
back and the pocket starts to break down. He ranges
out to his right, finds Courtland Sutton in the back
of the end zone and throws a laser to him
for the seven points. All of a sudden, Denver shown
a little life against Miami after spotting them fourteen to

(25:51):
start this matchup.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
Yeah, coming up here a little bit later on the Jet. Well,
the Jets are home right now against the Patriots, and
you know they're down three to nothing in this game.
And let me just check the numbers out of the box.
Zach Wilson three of five, sixteen yards. He's been sacked
already once in this game. And they're two headed monster.
Dalvin Cook and Breese Hall combined have six carries for

(26:16):
two yards. They have no offense the Jets right now,
and that's a waste of a really good defense. The
Saints off to a seven to nothing late Derek Carr quarterback,
and they got a guy named Jameis Winston as their backup.
You can't go through the season with Zach Wilson a quarterback.
If for the Jets, I don't know what kind of
options you have, but maybe a phone call to the
Saints to try to pry away Jameis Winston, who's a

(26:38):
legit quarterback unlike Zach Wilson. They're trying to figure out.
They're making calls.

Speaker 2 (26:44):
The report was out this morning or yesterday that they
called on Chad Henny, who turned down an offer from
the New York Jets's. They're doing their due diligence. I
think they're doing it quietly. I don't think they're trying
to rattle Zach Wilson's confidence. Everybody's asking the same question
you are, Steve, and a lot of these reporters who
have sources around the team, they're certainly inquiring about who

(27:07):
the Jets are going to bring in because it feels
like that is that's something that's already predetermined, you know,
based on how he played last year and how he's
played so far this season. It's still not looking right.
So they need to make a change, and they did it.
Was supposed to be Aaron Rodgers. He lasted exactly four plays,
and so they got to pivot who they pivot to.

(27:28):
And when I think that that's a two part question,
it's if they can find someone they view as competent
to agree and come in and play for them, and
then also how fast they can get that player caught
up to speed to go out there and be the
starting quarterback.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
I'm sure Belichick, and preparing to play against this Jets offense,
said well, I'll tell you what if Zach Wilson beats us,
so be it. They've been Dalvin Cook two carries two yards,
Breise Hall four carries, zero yards. So you know the
Pats are stacking up against that that's running game, knowing
that it's unlikely that Zach Wilson is about to hurt

(28:05):
them through the air. Garrett Wilson, last year's offensive Rookie
of the Year, one catch, one yard. The Buffalo Bills
have jumped all over the Commanders. By the way, this
is a two and zero commander's team. I mean, if
you missed it, yeah, the Commanders are two and oh
to start the season. Josh Allen a touchdown pass forty

(28:25):
five yards to Gabe Davis. So Buffalo off to an
early ten to ouh in lead. What are we to
make of this Commander's team? Sort of a fluke to
get off to a two and oh starter? Is there
actually some meat on the bone there?

Speaker 2 (28:39):
Well, look, there's two ways to look at this. It's
a National Football League and whoever you beat is a
quality football team. Or we can start looking at the
names of the teams. They beat the Cardinals in Week
one and the Broncos in Week two, so this is
really the first real test. Look, it was survival against
the Broncos that came. That was a two point game

(29:00):
in the end. The Cardinals I think are actually a
better team than a lot of people believe they are.
That sounds ridiculous, but Josh Dobbs has played way over
his head this season, at least as far as we've
seen from Josh Dobbs, and that defense is keeping them
in games, at very least keeping them in games. So
those are two Those are two wins. You could you

(29:22):
could have squinted at the beginning of the season and said, yeah,
I could. I could see a path where the Commanders
are two and oh, but they run into the Bills today.
Next week it's the Eagles, and then it's Bears and Falcons,
So a little bit more of a reprieve against the Bears.
But the Falcons they're off to a hot start too,
and they got to go to Atlanta to play them.
So these next four games, three of their opponents are

(29:43):
really tough. Could look very different by week six.

Speaker 1 (29:46):
Now they're surprising two and oh team the Atlanta Falcons
with Desmond Ritter at quarterback right now trailing the Lions
three nothing. We're into the second quarter in that game.
Ritter has played well. He's already been sacked a couple
of times. Big sacks by the way for the Lions
in this one. But you know, you draft Bjon Robinson
and the rookie out of Texas has so far lived

(30:07):
up to the hype he has. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
Bjon Robinson is one of the most NFL ready prospects
scouts have seen in a very long time. What do
you got, Chrish? Just keeping an eye on this Vikings
Chargers game. I think we just went through the first
quarter without a single target to Justin Jefferson. Well, you
could argue the best way to beat the Vikings is
to take away Kirk Cousins favorite option. And that's what

(30:31):
New England always does, right They last week they played
the Miami Dolphins. They take away Tyreek Hill from the
Miami Dolphins, so to a camp pass to him. Well,
guess who's the defensive coordinator in Minnesota. It's Brian Flores,
who is the former defensive coordinator with Bill Belichick. So
that is the old Patriots way. You take away their

(30:51):
number one target and you say play left handed, see
if you could beat us. And so Justin Jefferson my guess,
or excuse me, opposite Brandon Stale, my guess, is following
the Patriot away, taking away Justin Jefferson and saying, play
left handed, Let's see if you can beat us without
your leading pass catcher.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
Well, the number one target for the Chargers, obviously, Keenan
Allen five catches fifty three yards. Already in this game
we just started the second quarter. Justin Herbert has been outstanding.
Ten to twelve seventy six yards a touchdown pass. He
also has a twelve yard run. Kirk Cousins not so much.
Three of four fourteen yards. He's taken a sack. So
through the first quarter, the Minnesota Vikings seven yards net

(31:33):
passing against the thirty first ranked defense in the league.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
Well this is the Actually, if you what's odd about
the way the Chargers played the Miami Dolphins is last
year when they played the Dolphins, they did what they
are doing to the Vikings in this game now, the
opener against the Dolphins, they allowed Tyreek Hill to have
a huge game. You know, they were trying to play
soft coverage, but they were giving too many balls up

(32:00):
underneath and he was making big plays with yards after catch.
What they did in the game against the Dolphins Dolphins
last year and they got the win late in the season,
was they took Tyreek Hill out of the game plan
for the Dolphins, and now they're doing that against the
Minnesota Vikings, saying, guess what, it's working. So going back
to what I was talking about, you want to take

(32:21):
away a quarterback's first option and best option. This way,
it gives you a better chance for success. And so far,
so good in the opening half for the Chargers on
the road.

Speaker 1 (32:30):
All right, So here's my favorite stats so far through
the first quarter of games. The Tennessee Titans are tied
with the Browns three to three. The Titans in this game.
Have two yards of total offense. Ryan Tannehill is four
of six for seven yards. Does that even seem possible?
He also got sacked for a four yard loss. Derrick
Henry two carries negative one yard, so two yards of

(32:55):
total offense. So they're on pace for eight. Okay, okay,
they're on pace for eight, and yet they're tied three
three with the Browns.

Speaker 3 (33:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (33:03):
Yeah, football is a weird sport. Sean Watson nine to ten,
sixty three yards looking good in this game. Yeah, And
and I don't know how Tannehill that's the job, that's
the storyline is Tannehills stove.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
Well, they're trying to replace him. I saw it with
the draft of what's his name, Willis Malik Willis. He
came two years ago and Will Levis now this past year.
But the storyline to watch here is Deshaun Watson. You know,
how is he going to bounce back after a miserable
Monday Night football performance? He had a fifty five percent
completion rate in the game where Nick Chubb was injured

(33:35):
and out for the season. He was sacked six times,
he fumbled twice. This Titans defense. They're tied through the
season entering this game for the seven for excuse me,
the most sacks. They have seven through the first two games,
so you know the plan is going to be get
pressure on Deshaun Watson and this may be a close ballgame.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
And then all right, we are nine games into this
Sunday around the National Football and we're also into the
second quarter of all these games. Stay with us. Much
more coming up. All you need to know on an
NFL Sunday, we got it for you. This is Fox
Sparks Red Zone Radio. First and goal from the three,

(34:14):
and it's a quick out.

Speaker 10 (34:15):
Donald Parham touchdown.

Speaker 1 (34:18):
Chargers k Y SR ninety eight seven. That's the Chargers
Radio Network. Chargers with a seven to nothing lead against
the Minnesota Vikings. This is Fox Sports at Red Zone Radio.
We are live from the tai IRAQ dot Com studios.
The Miami Dolphins have scored again, twenty one to seven

(34:39):
over the Denver Broncos. I'm trying to get this guy's
name pronunciation.

Speaker 11 (34:46):
I've got it, Okay, what is it is? According to him,
it is Devon A Chain.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
So Devon H. Chain, who by the way, has seven
carries fifty nine yards already and a touchdown. And he
also has a receiving touchdown in this game, So two
touchdowns for a chain and Miami. Now with that twenty
one seven league. By the way, do they practice tackling
anymore in the NFL because the Denver Broncos cannot tackle.

Speaker 2 (35:15):
That's a great question and the answer is not as
much as they used to. So you are so limited
with how physical your practices can be at the NFL
level that it really has become a problem in a
point of emphasis, with a lot of different teams.

Speaker 1 (35:31):
It's a struggle. The Lions just got on the board again.
Sam laport A forty five yard touchdown reception.

Speaker 2 (35:37):
Yeah, that's their draft pick and arguably one of the
best tight ends coming out of the draft.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
Oh whoa, whoa, whoa. So I'll excited you have Laporta
on your team. I actually have him in two Wow.

Speaker 8 (35:51):
Yeah I got him in two because I didn't have
a tight end and then you know, everybody's like, oh,
he could be good.

Speaker 9 (35:56):
So I got him in two of my leads.

Speaker 1 (35:58):
Smart finds his sixty seven yards in a score.

Speaker 9 (36:02):
So exciting.

Speaker 1 (36:03):
The Lions have wanted to use tight ends just for
whatever reason. TJ.

Speaker 7 (36:06):
Hawkinson just never worked out for them, but they were
very high on Laporta, and he's through three games they
have used him heavily, very very heavily.

Speaker 2 (36:13):
Everybody was talking about the Utah tight end, but Laporta
arguably the better of the top three tight ends coming
out of the draft. And well, listen, I'm letting you
know right now. Look, I was at my time playing
a three hundred and ten pound offensive lineman. I could
have scored because the Falcons defense, for whatever reason, decided

(36:35):
just not to have anybody deep and so he walked
into the end zone by himself. Detroit leads the Falcons
ten to three at home, and yeah, man, it's looking
pretty easy for Golfing Company right now.

Speaker 1 (36:48):
Brown's just scored on a Deshaun Watson to Jerome Ford
touchdown nineteen yards for the score. So the Browns now
have a ten to three lead over the Titans. We
mentioned the fact that the Titans have two yards of
total offense with inside ten minutes to go in the
first half. So Deshaun Watson off to a really good
start today after his meltdown a week ago. Meanwhile, the

(37:12):
Saints in Green Bay have taken a fourteen to nothing
lead in this game, and they have scored on a
punt return by Rashid Shahed seventy six yard punt return
for Shaheed. So the Saints going to Green Bay and

(37:36):
have jumped off to a fourteen to nothing lead. This
is a Saints team that already is two and zero
on the season. By the way, Jordan Love off to
a good start first couple weeks, was actually the quarterback
with the highest passer rating in the NFL today just
six or twelve sixty three yards. But the Derek Carr
era looking good for the Saints right now. Car seven
to nine fifty two yards and a touchdown pass.

Speaker 12 (37:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (37:59):
My out on the lint pick this season is the
New Orleans Saints will compete for an NFC title because
this is a team that could win the South. They're
an NFC team that nobody was talking about at the
end of last season because really what it came down
to was their defense led the way. They were a

(38:19):
top top five defense last year. Ooh, New England with
a huge passing play into the end zone, throwing it
to Hunter Henry. I believe I saw it on.

Speaker 11 (38:27):
A Farrow mac Jones of Farrow Brown.

Speaker 2 (38:30):
Oh, okay to Brown yes, but that was good for sixty yards.

Speaker 11 (38:34):
On that I think it came in at a fifty
eight yard touchdown.

Speaker 1 (38:37):
Goodness gracious. So they lead right now ten nothing in
New York against the Jets, who have no offense. They
might be enough. The Colts, by the way, have tied
it up with the Ravens. Gardner Minshew just jumps in
and he's great twelve to fifteen ninety yards to a
touchdown pass to Zach Moss. So that game seven to
seven right now, inside seven minutes to go here in

(38:59):
the first half. So you know we got and by
the way, we got. The Vikings right now they are
knocking on the door. I think they have a play
under review. Did they get in the end zone there
on second and goal? I looked up. I know on
first and goal they ran a play and now they
have to play under reviewed.

Speaker 11 (39:18):
It looks like it's under review. But I think he
got in. I'm trying to see who it was.

Speaker 1 (39:22):
Was it a run with Madison or no.

Speaker 11 (39:24):
I believe it was a pass to a tight end.
I just didn't see which tight end it was.

Speaker 1 (39:28):
All right, Okay, So we're waiting now on a review
of what seemed to be a touchdown for the Vikings
trailing the Chargers right now by a score of seven
and nothing. This game's over under was fifty three and
a half, and yet with eight minutes to go in
the half at seven to nothing, So this is not

(39:49):
it's not the game that I mean. People were pounding
the over in this game. Chargers came in with the
thirty first ranked defense in the league and they actually
it played well defensively in this game.

Speaker 2 (40:02):
Yeah, it was a pass to Josh Oliver that they're
reviewing on the second down from Minnesota, and it looked
like he was fighting to get over the goal line.
Initially called a touchdown, but they're taking a closer look
at that one.

Speaker 11 (40:15):
So well, Texans touchdown to give them.

Speaker 2 (40:17):
The update as soon as the official looks like, oh
it's a touchdown, all right, so that counts. The Vikings
right now lead twelve to seven in Minnesota, and we'll
see what happens with the ensuing.

Speaker 1 (40:29):
No, no, no, the Vikings are going to tie this
game at seven to seven. Oh ok, they were scoreless.
Oh I was looking away, all right, keep it here.
Much more coming up. This is Fox Sports Red Zone
Radio rolling along here on a very very busy NFL Sunday.
This is Fox Sports a red zone or radio and
we are broadcasting live from the ti rag dot com

(40:50):
studios tyraq dot com. We're gonna help get you there
on that Matt's selection, fast free shipping, free road hats,
a protection over ten thousand recommended installers, tire ac dot com,
the way tire buying should be. Are we all set, guys,
not yet all right, but we are soon to be ready.

(41:10):
We are hopefully going to be joined here by Kevin Burkhart.
He of course is the play by play man for Fox.
He's gonna be working that Bears Chiefs game today. That's
an interesting game to talk about with all the things
that have been going down with the Bears. By the way,
their defensive coordinator resigned and now there's stuff coming out
about some inappropriate something. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (41:31):
Yeah, that led to his abrupt resignation. Been very cloak
and dagger with Chicago. We don't know exactly what's going on,
and Eberflus very protective of that information leading into the weekend.
Of course, this was a late week revelation that now
sort of gets swallowed up by all the action here

(41:51):
on Sunday. But we'll find out more about that story.
I'm sure you can't can't keep a lid on a
defensive coordinator all of a sudden on a Thursday, resigning,
So we'll find out.

Speaker 1 (42:03):
All right. So the Broncos had a touchdown taken away
due to a illegal pick. It was so blatant they
had to call it back. So the Broncos end up
settling for a field goal. So the Dolphins lead Denver
by a score of twenty one to ten, six and
a half minutes to go in the half. There. Meanwhile,
the Lions, already leading the Falcons ten to three, have
a third and goal at the Falcons eight yard line.

(42:26):
Jered Goff continues to put up huge numbers. How about
fourteen of sixteen, one hundred and sixty eight yards one touchdown?
All those people that thought, wow, can't get rid of
golf soon enough, how's that looking now? Golf has been
a fine for the Lions. I think he should have
made the Pro Bowl a year ago. But he's putting

(42:47):
up some huge numbers again. So there's Jered Goff. You
give him time.

Speaker 5 (42:52):
He is.

Speaker 1 (42:53):
He is what I call the ultimate rhythm passer. Most
most quarterbacks are. They feel comfortable. They get in a rhythm.
But boy, he feels comfortable. Man. He doesn't miss, No,
he doesn't. Well.

Speaker 2 (43:03):
One of the things coming out of Cal that everybody
said about Jared Goff was this guy can throw every
single NFL route like he really does have. He was
the golden arm out of Cal and that's the reason
why he was taken so high in the draft. The
deal is this, you have certain guys who with certain organizations,

(43:25):
they just don't fit. I mean, look at what happened
with Gino Smith when he found finally found home in Seattle.
It's really looked good. You gotta find that fit, and
it's worked for Goff in Detroit. Actually, oddly enough, it
kind of is reminiscent of what happened with Kirk Cousins
with Washington. You saw that there was something there, but

(43:45):
it just didn't quite work. And then he goes to Minnesota,
finds home and even better now with Kevin O'Connell as
his play caller out there with the Vikings. I think
that's what happened with Goff. He had the talent, he
just needed to find a coordinator who believed in his talent.
And he absolutely has that in Ben Johnson, the offensive
coordinator for the Detroit Lions.

Speaker 1 (44:04):
All right, I know it's early, but we had three
quarterbacks taken in the first four selections. Big question was
who would be the best out of the box. The
answers c J. Stroud. Huge game last week and a loss.
But right now, the Texans up fourteen nothing on the
road against the Jacksonville Jaguars. CJ. Stroud eight of eleven,
one hundred and eight yards and a touchdown pass, Well,

(44:27):
that would be arguable.

Speaker 2 (44:30):
I would say it's Anthony Richardson, but Anthony Richardson got
hurt in the game last week. Gardner Minshew took over today.
He's three for eighteen for ninety seven yards and a
touchdown today against the Baltimore Ravens. Colts currently lead ten
to seven. But yeah, if it weren't for the injury,
I would still give it to Anthony Richardson. But amongst
healthy obviously it's Stroud.

Speaker 1 (44:51):
All right, let's get ready for a big game coming
up this afternoon.

Speaker 3 (44:58):
It's time for the n FELL out, Fox Focus.

Speaker 1 (45:02):
And joy Us. Right now, he is the lead play
by play guy for Fox the NFL getting ready for
the Bears at the Chiefs. Kevin Burkhardt is joining us
once again. Kevin has always we really appreciate you taking
time out to join us. Give a little preview of
a game that took on a lot more interest this
week with all the noise coming out of the Bears.
Let's start with the Justin Fields situation and his criticism

(45:25):
publicly of the coaching taking him out of his game.
I know he was defended by a lot of his teammates,
but what's happening. What's that mindset for Fields and the
Bears coaching staff as they prepare offensively against the team
that will put it this way, you better score some
points if you're going to beat the Chiefs.

Speaker 13 (45:43):
Well, I mean, it's a couple of things. I think
if you watch the whole Fields press conference when that happened,
you know, look, it's never obviously idea when you're talking
about your coaching staff like that. But I don't think
it was a malicious comment. It was basically saying it's
on everybody, We've all got to get better. That was
kind of the premise of it. Of course, the thing
that gets clipped is him calling out the coaching right
and we talked to him after that actually the next day,

(46:05):
and I thought he was in a great place. You know,
he was really honest with us, And I think the
reality is everything does have to get better, and when
you look at it, look, there was all this talk
about Justin Field's having to get better from the pocket
as a passer, and I think that's fair, Like I
think we all thought that, the Bears thought that coming
into the season. But you can't lose what he what
makes him so unguardable and that running ability and the

(46:27):
scrambling ability and the ability to throw deep off the run.
He's as good as anybody in the league doing that,
and they just don't do it anymore. So I think
they have to find a happy medium of trying to
get a little bit better in the pocket but not
losing what makes Justin Fields great. And I kind of
have a feeling that he's going to run today. I mean,
I'd be stunned. I would just be stunned if he

(46:48):
didn't come out and run the ball ten times in.

Speaker 12 (46:49):
The first quarter.

Speaker 13 (46:50):
To be completely honest, you.

Speaker 2 (46:52):
Look at the Bears and you say, oh, they got
all these problems, and we'll get to the defensive side
of the ball. Obviously, revelations this week with Alan their
defensive coordinator. But I want to talk about the Chiefs
and some of their issues one in one. This team
looks like it's struggling on offense through the first two weeks.
Matt Nagi back his offensive coordinator after being the former

(47:12):
head coach of the Bears, so there's some crossover there.
Patrick Mahomes has his lowest completion percentage of his career.
Kelsey has only got one game under his belt, a
bunch of new receivers. Is there any one thing that
jumps out as the cause for the slow start for
the Chiefs.

Speaker 13 (47:30):
Well, I think it's a couple of things. Actually, I
mean it's number one, their entire receiving corps is young,
with the except of Marquez, exception of about as scantling, right,
I mean, so, I don't think it's much different than
last year. And they lose treek Hill last year, and
they're trying to kind of get some chemistry going with
Mahomes and the offense and guys other than Kelsey, right,
And last year they had Jujus Smith Schuster, who is

(47:51):
a veteran guy who led the team in reception. So
I think it's I think that's part of it. They're
trying to kind of find their footing a little bit.
The good part is they've been sloppy. They had a
million penalties, which is something they haven't done that have
killed a lot of drives. They have not been good
at third down, which is their whole mark, And in
two games. I'm just not going to lose my mind
in two games because their numbers are a little down.

(48:11):
I think they're definitely they have not been themselves, but
I think they're just kind of working through it with
a really inexperienced wide receiving corps. That's that's the bottom line.
But at the end of the day. Or am I
pretty confident they're going to be fine on offense?

Speaker 1 (48:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 13 (48:25):
I am.

Speaker 1 (48:26):
I'm trying to figure out the difference between inappropriate behavior
and inappropriate activity, which is a term they're using right now.
As Alan Williams has left the Bears organization. Any any
word on what is going on behind the scenes, I
know they're trying to keep it in house here, Kevin,
And let's face it, this Bears defense has been awful anyway,

(48:46):
So what's the what's the look like on that defensive
side of the room. For the Bears right now.

Speaker 13 (48:52):
Well, all I know is that Matt Eberfluss is going
to call the d and that's something he's done his
entire life, so it's not something new to him. And
he even stead the other day like, hey, you know,
it really hasn't changed much as far as the head
coaching goes. I'm still in conversations, you know, with the
offense and going over the you know, keeping an eye
on the clock. I'm sure he's got other people helping him.
He mentioned a couple of his assistants just watching a

(49:15):
couple of different things, obviously because his mind's more on that.
But you know, in a way, you know Matt, you know,
Matt got highed because of turning around programs and turning
around defenses. Right Missouri, the Colts, you can name it.
So I think they've just got to go out and
play better. You know, their defense has not played well
at all. The first two games haven't played well. And
over a year they went on spent a lot of

(49:36):
money on Tremaine and Edmunds and TJ. Edwards in the middle,
and they've just got to be better. That's the bottom line.
I Mean, we could talk all we want about justin
fields and the offense, you know, performing his expectation. That's
obviously true or has to be true. But their d
can't be last at everything. I mean, they've got one
sack and they have no turnovers. They've got, you know,
not that many pressures. I mean, that's that's a recipe

(49:58):
for disaster Against Patrick Mahomes, I don't or how I
don't care what their offense looks like through the first
two games.

Speaker 2 (50:03):
It's very rare that offensive lineman makes headlines leading into
any game week. But Juwan Taylor, the eighty million dollar
man for the Kansas City Chiefs, was benched briefly against
the Jacksonville Jaguars. And that's a little jarring, little odd
when you make a commitment like they did this offseason.
But he had two fall starts, two holds in an
illegal formation, five penalties in all. What are the Chiefs

(50:27):
doing to help him fix what's going wrong early this season?

Speaker 13 (50:32):
Well, I think it's a I think it was a correction, right.
I mean Week one we all saw on a national
TV when he was you know, clearly lining up you know,
well beyond the illegal area and probably should have been
penalized every play of the game, and so guess what,
they watched him like a hawk the next week, and
he had a bunch of little mistakes. The thing that
Kansas City is happy with is when you look at it,

(50:54):
he's actually graded out really well pass blocking, you know,
So they brought him and gave him that kind of
money because he's a great pass blocker, and that part
he's done well he did. You know, he obviously can't
have five penalties on himself in one game like he
had last week. So I think the Chiefs feel like
he'll be fine. But you know, until that point, it's
certainly in a place to look at. So last week

(51:15):
when they took him out of the game, it was
more just like, okay, you know, he had a couple
penalties in a row. It's just kind of like a
reset for a couple of snaps. It wasn't like he
was ben sure anything like that.

Speaker 1 (51:22):
All Right, a couple hours away from kickoff of that game,
Bears at the Chiefs. You'll see it on Fox. You'll
hear that man's voice right there. Kevin Burkhart on the
play by play. Kevin, we really appreciate the time. Have
a good game.

Speaker 13 (51:34):
We'll be watching all right, enjoyed it, guys, talk to
you soon.

Speaker 1 (51:37):
Thanks so much. Kevin Burkhart joining us right there, Bears
a healthy twelve and a half point dog on the
road against the rainy Super Bowl champions. All right, on
the other side, we'll get you updated on all the
games that are going on right now approaching halftime around
the National Football League. Nine games on the slate. This
is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.

Speaker 14 (51:58):
Kurk back to pass, looks right, see nothing, throws left
at the goal line.

Speaker 1 (52:02):
It's caught touch Josh Oliver for.

Speaker 14 (52:09):
This first touchdown as a member of the Minnesota Vikings.

Speaker 1 (52:13):
That's k Fan one hundred point three FM, Vikings Radio Network.
So the Vikings, after trailing the Chargers seven to nothing
in the first quarter, I remember we had justin Jefferson,
zero targets in the first quarter. Second quarter, three targets,
three catches, eighty yards for Jefferson, and now the Vikings

(52:33):
have taken a ten to seven lead. By the way,
this is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. We are live
from the Tirak dot Com studios.

Speaker 2 (52:40):
They are Yeah, they're trusting the zone to handle Jefferson.
Now as we near halftime. I don't know if it's
the best idea, to be perfectly honest with you, I
think I think they really need to commit two players
defensively to Justin Jefferson, but with some safety health help,
they feel comfortable as it stands, looking at that Minnesota

(53:01):
game where they are currently hosting the Chargers to zero
to two teams that are desperably seeking their first win.
They take the three point lead, but that very easily
could have been a seven point or excuse me, a
seven point lead, thank you. But what happened was Joey
Bosa just save four points. So Kirk Cousins had a

(53:21):
wide open receiver. It was third down near the goal line.
I think they're on the four yard line, and if
Kirk Cousins would have gotten the throwoff, this is a
walk in touchdown. But this goes to show you the
reason why edge rushers are paid so much money in
the NFL. Joey Bosa, rushing solo against the right tackle,
was able to reach out his hand, hit Kirk cousins elbow.

(53:44):
The ball falls incomplete, so it takes four points off
the board for the Minnesota Vikings. Assuming the point act
after touchdown would have been good, the field goal certainly was.
They lead ten to seven at home against the Chargers.

Speaker 1 (53:56):
All right, updating you on the scores right now around
the NFL again nine games and actions. So you mentioned
the Vikings leading the Chargers ten to seven. Browns lead
the Titans thirteen to three. Shawn Watson undred forty six
yards passing so far inside a minute to go in
the first half. There seconds to go in the first half,
Lions all over the Falcons thirteen to three. Golf has

(54:17):
one hundred and eighty eight yards passing. How about this
score Saints seventeen, Packers nothing in Green Bay. Derek Carr
has a touchdown pass in that game. Dolphins still lead
the Broncos twenty one to ten over two hundred yards passing,
a couple of touchdown dapsund two tongue bylo and they
just scored again on a moster twenty yard run by

(54:39):
the way Tyreek kill in the first half for Miami
six catches one hundred and twenty two yards and a touchdown.
His goals two thousand yards for receiver. Ever to do that,
he is well on his way. Patriots lead the Jets
ten to three seconds to go in the first half.
There all these games, seconds to go until halftime. Bill's
over the Commanders, no challenge, there's sixteen nothing Bills Texans

(55:03):
shocking the Jaguars fourteen to nothing. HU don't know. Leveyards
passing for CJ. Stroud and this game is at the half,
Gardner Minshew and the coach light in the Ravens ten
to seven.

Speaker 2 (55:16):
Huge pass down field for the Chargers. There's a flag
on the play, will be defensive pass interference, will be
a hold. This could be a score before the half.
They're gonna call it against the defense. They obviously are
going to add to their yardage.

Speaker 1 (55:33):
There.

Speaker 2 (55:33):
So a ten to seven ballgame in Minnesota. Vikings have
the lead, but in the two minute drill, Justin Herbert
just threw a strikedown field and hits his receiver on
the straight up go route. And now we may have
a flip flop on the score here before half.

Speaker 1 (55:49):
I want an update two a tongue of the lowest
stats for you in this first half against Denver. He
is sixteen for sixteen, two hundred and six yards, two touchdowns.

Speaker 2 (56:01):
I was Joshua Palmer on the reception, by the way
for the Chargers right now, and they're right at the
six yard line and they're gonna.

Speaker 1 (56:07):
Get a running touchdown, no short right there. Minute to
go clock is running, so to a tongue of Iloa.
Sixteen of sixteen, two hundred and six yards, two touchdowns
for the Dolphins, two minutes to go in the half.
Denver's defense was awful. They can't tackle. They can't. I
mean not only that Miami has one hundred and twenty

(56:28):
nine yards on the ground, they have three hundred and
thirty five yards of offense in the first half.

Speaker 2 (56:35):
It is not going well in Denver. I mean there look,
there's a lot to fix left over from last year offensively,
but certainly defensively. They're having their struggles and going against
a team that started the season so hot. The Miami
Dolphins have made all the defenses they face so far
look foolish, and that includes the New England Patriots in Foxborough.

(56:56):
I mean, right now, they have more than more than
double the first downs over the Broncos. They have seventeen
first downs to the Broncos eight. They're leading twenty eight
ten and South Beach is a tough place to play
early in the season. The weather's unpredictable, usually really humid,
coming out of training camp. Still kind of feels like summertime.
Herbert to the end zone. No good new. So the

(57:19):
Chargers probably gonna get this third and goal at the
one short pass to Everett to.

Speaker 1 (57:25):
The left side. Okay, now, let me ask you this,
because this I don't know where we're gonna see where
they mark the ball, but it looked to me like
it's inside the one yard line. All right, Yeah, you
have a six foot six quarterback. Yes, go on, and
you the push is allowed, as the Eagles have shown
the tiber and over and a push push, Yeah, you
can do that. Yeah. Now if this, if this ball's

(57:48):
inside the one yard line with a six foot six,
strong body quarterback and you're allowed to push them into
the end zone, why you would do anything other than
that would be a mystery to me. I'm with you.

Speaker 2 (57:59):
I don't understand why we see certain team shy away
from the eaglesones.

Speaker 1 (58:05):
They do it all the time.

Speaker 2 (58:06):
But yeah, it's it's happening at the college level too,
because I think the pros allow it the college level. Oh,
we have a fumble in the Denver Broncos Miami Dolphins
game and the Dolphins will have the ball back inside
the Denver five yard line with a minute doing a.

Speaker 1 (58:23):
Straight handout for the Chargers and they gets stuffed at
the goal.

Speaker 2 (58:26):
Joshua Kelly tries for the Chargers against the Minnesota Vikings
goal line defense.

Speaker 1 (58:31):
Now, what are you gonna do? Fourth and goal? I'm
telling you this is making no sense to me at all,
because when you turn around to hand the ball off,
it gives the defense a running start. What a heads
up play by it. If they just shove the ball
into the end zone with your big quarterback, you don't
have that.

Speaker 2 (58:49):
I'm with you, I agree one hundred percent. So Courtland Sutton,
going back to the Denver Miami game, was the receiver
who fumbled. A great job by the defensive back who
swatted that ballway, and then one of the Miami linebackers
just ran it down all the way to the four
yard line. It's first in goal for the Miami Dolphins,
leading by eighteen at home against the Broncos.

Speaker 1 (59:11):
Yeah, it's going from ugly to embarrassing right now for
this Denver Broncos team to a tongue of I loo
again is perfect sixteen of sixteen over two hundred yards
and Miami walks into the end zone for yet another touchdown.
If you have moster here we go fourth down for
the Chargers right now. Are they gonna sneak it? There's
no push behind Herbert. He's going to pass on fourth

(59:34):
down throws in the end zone and it is caught.
Is that Everett? Who is that?

Speaker 2 (59:41):
Oh that's parm Junior. Okay, so Donald parm Junior, the
tight end catches the pass, and that's good for a
Chargers touchdown, thirteen to ten. We'll wait for the ensuing
point after touchdown, but play action on fourth down. By
the way, on the season, they are now four for
five on fourth down conversions.

Speaker 1 (59:59):
Well, the key here was Herbert had plenty of time,
plenty of time to find a target, and of course,
I mean, his accuracy is remarkable. He didn't have much
of a room to get that ball to part him,
but he threw it right on the money. So the
extra point is good. And the Chargers now with a
fourteen to ten lead with forty seven seconds to go

(01:00:19):
in the first half. In that game, but this Denver
Miami game, yikes, thirty five to ten Miami minute a
half to go in the first half. I mean, at
some point here Sean Payton's going to have to answer
some questions. And if this game continues on the trajectory
we're watching right now, people are going to say, dude,
you're all in three. Well he's fault is it now?

Speaker 2 (01:00:41):
You're only as good as your last game? And if
Russell Wilson to your point, you know, he shows some life,
he's playing a little bit better. The questions are going
to start coming down on the head coach Sean Payton,
and they're going to say, hey, what about this defense?
What about special teams? Where are we lacking every where?
You know, look, Sean Payton, in my opinion, he's safe.

(01:01:03):
He just signed as absolutely a big, long term deal.
He's gonna make excuses throughout this season as to why
it's early. Don't judge us. Now, judge us when we
have the full effect of the Sean Payton plan and
the regime in place. But oh and three, like we
discussed before the at the start of the show, with
the Chargers and Vikings game, you have a two point

(01:01:26):
five percent chance of making the playoffs. If you start
your season zero and three and trailing right now thirty
five to ten. It looks like that's gonna be the
case for the Denver Broncos.

Speaker 1 (01:01:35):
I'm gonna update those us for this Bronco team from
what I've seen so had zero point zero chance of
making the playoffs. We're brought to you by Progressive Insurance.

(01:01:57):
right now? And well, mansie, that one highlight that we
heard it was very quiet.

Speaker 8 (01:02:03):
Yes, I think came into the system quiet, and I didn't.

Speaker 9 (01:02:07):
Know and all of you, I was like, what are
you talking you about? I can hear it, So I
was very confused. I think it just came into the
system low.

Speaker 1 (01:02:13):
Okay, Okay, that's what it was.

Speaker 9 (01:02:14):
Because then I played another one year. Oh you couldn't.
That's what they said.

Speaker 1 (01:02:17):
They're like, it was just really low because my hearing's terrible.
As everyone knows, I could faintly hear that seventy six
yard fun return for Tex Like.

Speaker 8 (01:02:25):
You know, I wanted to keep it interesting, you know,
I wanted to keep it interesting.

Speaker 9 (01:02:28):
Make sure people are listening.

Speaker 8 (01:02:30):
You know sometimes when you go silent, people are like, Oh,
something important's about to happen. So it's all part of
the plan. Let me tell you what's not trending. Trevor Lawrence.

Speaker 9 (01:02:39):
Is he playing guys? Is he out there? What is
going on? After a good week one, I haven't seen
him do anything. I have him in a league, which
is why I'm upset.

Speaker 15 (01:02:48):
But the Texans are beating the Jaguars fourteen zero.

Speaker 9 (01:02:53):
They're about to head into halftime.

Speaker 8 (01:02:54):
All of these games are either out halftime or heading
into halftime.

Speaker 1 (01:02:58):
C J.

Speaker 8 (01:02:58):
Stroud though for the Texans on hundred and sixty three
yards and a touchdown in the air. And then the
Colts are beating the Ravens by just a field goal
ten to seven. Is the score Gardner Minshew in for
Anthony Richardson, who is not in this game. One one
hundred and three yards and a touchdown in the air
for Minshew. The Bills all over the Commander sixteen zero
Josh Allen one hundred and forty yards and a touchdown

(01:03:20):
in the air. Patriots also beating the Jets ten to three.
A little quarterback comparison on this one. Zach Wilson five
of ten, just twenty nine yards. Mac Jones nine of eighteen,
one hundred and forty two yards and a touchdown. The
Chargers and the Vikings, as we all expected, a whole
lot of stuff going on in this one. But the
Chargers are up fourteen to ten, forty five seconds left

(01:03:42):
before they head into halftime. Dolphins, oh my goodness, just
they cannot stop scoring.

Speaker 9 (01:03:49):
Thirty five to ten? Is the score? Tou a togov looa?
Is he still perfect? He was sixteen of sixteen.

Speaker 8 (01:03:56):
Y'all, two hundred and six yards, two touchdowns, no inner,
no sacks.

Speaker 1 (01:04:01):
I mean it's a good start.

Speaker 8 (01:04:02):
It isn't I'll take it right, Yes.

Speaker 1 (01:04:06):
I would hope maybe the defensive coordinator for the Broncos
would come up with a different game plan for the
second half.

Speaker 15 (01:04:13):
Some just something, change it up, Like at this point,
you might as well try anything, just you know, throw
stuff to the wall and see if it hits. At
this point, the Saints beating the Packers, which you mentioned
at home seventeen zero, Lions up on the Falcons thirteen
to three, and the Browns also up on the Titans
thirteen to three. At halftime, you guys were talking about
the Jets earlier.

Speaker 8 (01:04:32):
And I don't know if you mentioned it or not,
but Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reported this morning that
Carson Wentz and Matt Ryan both reached out to the
Jets following Aaron Rodgers' injury, and the Jets declined.

Speaker 1 (01:04:45):
Jets decline. One guy that didn't get that far was
Tom Brady. He just made it clear immediately right away,
like that is not happening.

Speaker 9 (01:04:53):
Yeah, yeah, I'm would have taken that one.

Speaker 1 (01:04:55):
Philip Rivers. He's been out of league two years now.
I mean, it's not like he's lost a step because
he never had a step.

Speaker 8 (01:05:04):
So I would like that because he never went far.

Speaker 1 (01:05:08):
You know in his career. He went to the Colts
for that one year they were in the playoffs.

Speaker 9 (01:05:11):
Right, but you know that's it's like a Mike Trout situation.

Speaker 1 (01:05:15):
Yeah, exactly, Yeah, hi mon, see, thank you very much.

Speaker 9 (01:05:18):
Yet yep.

Speaker 1 (01:05:19):
Yet, By the way, when you look at some of
these games right now, I mean Packers losing seventeen nothing
at home at the half to the Saints, and by
the way, the Texans got a field goal right before
the half, Houston seventeen, Jacksonville nothing at the half in Jacksonville.

Speaker 2 (01:05:38):
Yeah, yeah, Well you look at the Jags right now
and it's it's just they're being stopped offensively. I mean,
it's got to be frustrating for this fan base for
the first time in a long time having a real
team to root for, but they can't get any rhythm
on offense at all. The Texans, meanwhile, I mean, they've

(01:05:59):
been crushing a third down efficiency. They've gone five for
eight on third down. Jacksonville is only one for six,
and in terms of every other measurable stat it's fairly even.
They are just they're just not doing anything. Drives are stalling,
and third down conversion rate is insanely low. So whatever
Damiko Rans is doing defensively on third down for the Texans,

(01:06:23):
it's working. The Jacksonville Jaguars and Doug Peterson, they got
to make some huge adjustments at halftime, all.

Speaker 1 (01:06:29):
Right, with all these games at the half, I want
to go back to Thursday and the forty nine ers
demolition of the New York Giants, And I'm watching this
game right and Ayuk was out. But you have McCaffrey,
you have Kittle, you have Deebo Samuel. I mean, these
are superstars at all these skilled positions. But I'm watching

(01:06:49):
brock party yep, and the Giants are putting pressure on him,
and he made a couple of throws with guys in
his face. They can only be described as unbelievable throws.
So you know, I you know, yesterday Adam Kaplan joined
us our NFL inside. He's one of those guys that's

(01:07:11):
still hesitant to sort of give the green light to
call brock perty an elite quarterback. Sure, I don't have
that hesitancy watching this guy play. I know his job
in that offense is just get the ball in the
hands of these great playmakers. But he was doing it
under duress. I mean, he was making plays. The Giants
are throwing a lot of different things at him. He's

(01:07:33):
not the biggest guy, he doesn't have the biggest arm,
but his ability to make quick decisions and know where
to throw the ball is as good as any quarterback
in this league right now. I mean, he doesn't have
the physical tools of some of these superstar quarterbacks, but
his ability to recognize what is to be done with
the ball and get the ball in that direction right

(01:07:55):
now as good as any of the lake I dare
say the forty nine ers. And we said this even
before the season began. Rich you look at this team,
the playmakers on both sides of the football, they could
be the team to beat this year.

Speaker 2 (01:08:08):
I'm right there with you. I'm right there with you.
Brock Perdy has yet to lose a regular season game.
Rock Purdy, the only game he's ever lost in his
career as a starting quarterback was a game where his
elbow was exploded by the Philadelphia Eagles. Right Rock Party
is one of the best quarterbacks in the league right now.
And I know that sounds really odd because he was
mister irrelevant a year ago and can we trust him?

(01:08:31):
Can we trust him? That was the whole debate going
into the postseason, And to be perfectly honest, it's a
good founded argument because it's tough to know whether or
not you can trust a guy. And he makes his
debut as a starting quarterback in the National Football League,
and he continues and improves on the success that he
had a year ago. Look at what happened against the Rams.
He played arguably his poorest game as a starter. He

(01:08:54):
didn't make mistakes, you know, that's the thing you or
didn't make too many mistakes he made some, but that's
that's a game where easily the forty nine Ers could
have lost, and instead because of his leadership, because of
his abilities, because of a special town around him, and
that great defense he has. That's a big part of
the storyline too. But this is the right fit and frankly,

(01:09:17):
he's saved not only saved Shanahan and Lynch's jobs, but
also got them extended. That news came out right before
the NFL weekend on Friday that the forty nine ers
have given it fresh extensions to both Kyle Shanahan and
to John Lynch, their general manager, and the reason being
because Brock Perdy has developed into a sensational starting quarterback

(01:09:38):
or franchise quarterback in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (01:09:40):
Ah. Right, you want to hear the weirdest stat line
of the first half of today's game, Let's hear it.
Derek Henry, superstar running back of the Titans, halftime against
the Browns. Four carries for negative seven yards. Wow. Wow, Derek,
I would you like to have that on your fantasy
team right now? Derek Henry has four carries for negative

(01:10:04):
seven yards, so he's averaging negative one point eight yards
per carry.

Speaker 2 (01:10:08):
Okay, Here's here's something that you're not hearing enough of.
And I understand that it's not sexy anymore, but the
Cleveland Browns have an absolutely dominant defense. That pass rush
is incredible. They do obviously, you can see by that
stat by the way Miles Garrett's run. Miles Garrett has

(01:10:29):
two and a half sacks on the first half. He
has two and a half sacks on the first half.
He was my pick in the preseason for Defensive Player
of the Year, and it's because he's just always around
the quarterback. There's a bunch of those guys in the
league now, Nick Bosa, Joey Bosa. You look at TJ. Watt,
what he's done for the Steelers. He was injured part
of the season last year. Otherwise he would have been

(01:10:50):
an insane season for him last year. Miles Garrett is
unbelievably talented as a pass rusher and he's a good
run stopper. Two third and goal situation for the Denver Broncos,
looking to put a score on the board. They are
trailing thirty five to ten in Miami right now, eleven
seconds left in the half for the Broncos, and they

(01:11:11):
just had Russell Wilson, under pressure, tried to find a
receiver in the back of the end zone and went
out of bounds incomplete. Miami has called a time out,
so we're waiting for the ensuing play. But if it's
a thirty five to seventeen game here going into the half,
much more comfortable if you're Denver looking at the scoreboard
there than trailing by twenty five leaving the first half

(01:11:33):
of play.

Speaker 1 (01:11:33):
This game's over come on. They haven't stopped Miami the
whole game. Wait, we have no defense. What happens if
they let Russ Cook again? That guy that they're showing
to it t I Low is sixteen of sixteen passley.
What do you think he's going to go? Oh for
sixteen in the second half? They got a matter Russell
Wilson again. He's put his passer raigns well over one hundred,

(01:11:54):
and this game is well over one hundred on the season.
What happens if he gets back in the kitchen? See
if Yeah, but the only Denver can get back in
this game as they can actually stop. You're saying you
got to play low down the Dolphins. By the way,
look at us some halftime stats in that Charger Vikings game.
Here's denver that that's a bad call. Chargers four to down.

(01:12:15):
Now was that Russ who got sacked or did he
get it out to receive? He got it out to
receiver for a big loss. Charges lead the Vikings fourteen
ten and a half. You know, Kellen Moore comes in, right,
it's the new offensive coordinator and they want to get
more balance in their offense. Apparently not with Austin Eckler out.
Justin Herbert has thrown thirty passes in the first half.

(01:12:35):
They have seven rush attempts and one of them was
Herbert on a scramble. So they are throwing the ball
on every down. So this is exactly what they had before,
right I mean, but that was supposed to change with
Kellen Moore and it's not changed right now. So Chargers
lead fourteen to ten. Herbert is twenty six out of thirty,

(01:12:56):
but only for one hundred and eighty seven yards, so
he's not throwing the ball deep. But he has a
couple of touchdown passes. Kirk Cousins thirteen to twenty, one
hundred and forty six yards and a score for the Vikings.
They've had more running game than the Chargers so far,
all right, So the Broncos have to settle for the
field goal. So Miami will go into the half with

(01:13:16):
just eking out a thirty five to thirteen lead over
the Broncos. And you just heard Rich Ornberger. He says
that game is not over yet.

Speaker 2 (01:13:26):
Well, well, listen, thirty five to thirteen a lot different
than thirty five seventeen. And listen, it's all tongue in
cheek here, Denver. Season is all but done. Yeah, it's
week three. I'm calling it right now. It's at very
least it's on life support. Champagne has his work cutout
for him if this is going to work. Obviously, their

(01:13:49):
personnel department has some work to do on this offensive line,
in this defense. Their defense hasn't stopped anybody really in
particular this season. Russell Wilson, though, to his credit, into
Sean Payton's credit, how's it look better this season?

Speaker 1 (01:14:03):
All right? On the other side, we will get to
the second half beginnings of all nine of these games
around the National Football League. For all the latest scorer
stats and everything you need, keep it right here. This
is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. Both hit the running
back eight chain plank to the left. Thank you. It's
handout to mo shirt. He just bought walks in the
end zone. Now another touchdown for Miami and this is

(01:14:26):
turning into a runaway. Oh yeah, more than a runaway.
Fox Sports nine Dolphins Radio Network. They lead the Broncos
at the half by a score of thirty five to thirteen.
This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. We are alive
from the Tirak dot com studios. So Derek Carr Saints,

(01:14:47):
as we mentioned, leading the Packers seventeen to nothing. That
game is now in the second half. But Derek Carr
was sacked and he stayed down on the field for
a while. He was then able to walk off the
field under his own power, but went to the tent.
So we're trying to get an update on the status
of Derek Carr. The Saints are the one team in

(01:15:08):
the league that has a legitimate starting quarterback as a
backup quarterback, that's James Winston. Make TV here, all right,
So it looks like Carr is going to make the
walk into the locker room. Meanwhile, we just saw the Falcons.
They just missed a field goal attempt, trailing the Lions
by a score of thirteen to three Chargers Vikings underway

(01:15:31):
in the second half. Vikings have the ball first and
they're already at midfields or they're on the move. Meanwhile,
they're booing in Jersey. Right now, the Jets Patriots are
leading this game by a score of thirteen to three.
Zach Wilson is five of ten for twenty nine yards.
They have ten yards net passing. And the problem there

(01:15:54):
is when you don't have a passing game, you don't
have a running game. Breese Hall and Dalvin combine fifteen
carries for twenty nine yards. That's less than two yards
to carry. This is the problem when you have no
threat of a passing game. Is that a team like
the Patriots has a defensive coach like Belichick says, if

(01:16:14):
Zach Wilson could beat it's great, We're gonna stop their run.
That's exactly what they've done. The Jets have thirty nine
yards total offense and we got ten minutes to go
in the third quarter.

Speaker 2 (01:16:25):
Bill Sands are rejoicing right now. Josh Allen been perfect
on the day, fourteen of twenty two passings, one forty
through the air, one touchdown thrown. Meanwhile, the two and
zero Washington Commanders are imploding. Sam Howell eleven of eighteen
passing one thirteen through their three interceptions, and they had
a second in goal opportunity at the Bill's fifteen yard line.

(01:16:50):
How throw through the third of his three interceptions to
Tradavius White. So the Bills are going to have the
ball coming back after the break at their own twenty
yard line, and that's all but over.

Speaker 1 (01:17:03):
It's sixteen to nothing in Washington right now. Another quarterback
off to a good start the first couple of weeks
imploding today. That would be Jordan Love. He was actually
leading the NFL in passer rating after the first two weeks.
That will change. Nine of twenty one, eighty seven yards,
no touchdowns on a pick, no scoring yet from the
Packers nine minutes ago in the third quarter, and their

(01:17:24):
running game is not helping at all. So Jordan Love
showed some promise the first couple of weeks. But this
gets back to your prediction about the Saints team. They
got a defense, they do, and they're doing a number
on Jordan Love and that Packer offense right now. Obviously
they're in a very winnable division, the Saints are right now.
So this is this impressive performance on the road against

(01:17:47):
Green Bay. So I'll tell you know, people are like, hey,
Jordan Love, looks like they haven't missed debat. Yeah, he's
run against the defense today. Yeah right now.

Speaker 2 (01:17:56):
Three of nine on third down conversions for Green Bay,
ozero for one on fourth down conversions. It's just one
of these, one of these games. And by the way,
causing penalties all over the place. Really shot themselves in
the foot in the first half. Nine penalties in one
half of play. So green Bay hurting themselves in or

(01:18:17):
excuse me, at home against New Orleans. But speaking of hurt,
Derek Carr in the locker room. So we don't know
what's next for the Saints offense. Jamis Winston in a quarterback.

Speaker 1 (01:18:28):
Currently, one quarterback having a very good day today is
Deshaun Watson after his meltdown last week against Pittsburgh. He's
seventeen to twenty two, one hundred and seventy five yards,
a touchdown, no picks. Cleveland leading this game thirteen to three.
Their defense has been dominant. By the way, Dereck Henry
just had a nine yard run, so he's out of
the negatives. He's out of the reds. So he's got

(01:18:50):
now seven carries for four yards. Yeah, Derrick Henry has
seven carries for four yards. The MVP of this game
for Cleveland, no question. Not only does Miles Garrett have
two and a half sacks, he has two tackles for
losses and four quarterback hits. So he is just doing
a number on Ryan Tannehill and the Tennessee Titans. So

(01:19:13):
a couple other games going on right now, just underway
in the second half. The Texans now leads seventeen to seven.
So the Jags get on the board on a tank
Bigsby run. See if Jacksonville wakes up in the second half,
because that first half was ug Lee.

Speaker 2 (01:19:30):
Yeah, and listen, that's a name all of us know
really well around this studio. He love it, Bigsby. So
finally again some points on the board. They trailed by
ten at home against those Texans. And this is what
I was saying, Doug Peterson, he's a good second half adjuster.
That is a quality offensive coach, and as a head coach.
We saw what he did with the Philadelphia Eagles, and

(01:19:53):
that was a tough situation in retrospect, especially understanding who
Carson Wentz is as a quarterback, how difficul he's become
to work with and the sort of the way he's
known around the National Football League right now, and then
Nick Foles after him. So Jacksonville, they're a long way
from home. This could be a win for them in
the end.

Speaker 1 (01:20:13):
All right, big second half, So around the NFL for
all the latest, keep it here. This is Fox Sports
Red Zone Radio, Bigsby. They're running back shotgun formation.

Speaker 10 (01:20:22):
They handed to Bigsby coming all one touchdown.

Speaker 1 (01:20:26):
Take Bigsby a one yard touchdown run and Jacksonville.

Speaker 9 (01:20:31):
Is on the board.

Speaker 1 (01:20:33):
Yeah, the takester there. He is FM ninety two to
five Jaguars Radio Networks. After spotting the Texans. He's seventeen
ah and a half time late. Jaguars get on the
board first in the second half, trailing by a score
of seventeen to seven. This is Fox Sports Red Zone
Radio and we are broadcasting live from the tire rack
dot Com studios. Tire rack dot Com. We're gonna help

(01:20:54):
get you there an unmatched selection, fast free shipping, free
roadazer protection, over ten thousand and recommended installers. Tire rack
dot Com. The way tire By should be all right.
Some of the games were watching right now. Rich By
the way, Cleveland just scored, just scored again as they
are taking care of the Titans.

Speaker 2 (01:21:13):
Off left tackle, sweet play to the outside, he dives
through the pyelone he gets in and that's after a
nice little tramble by Deshaun Watson off the right guard.

Speaker 1 (01:21:23):
He gets it down.

Speaker 2 (01:21:23):
To the Titans three yard line prior or, I should
say on the play prior and forward in for his
first touchdown of the day. Cleveland not only dominating on defense,
and I do mean dominating this Titans offense, but they're
starting to come awake offensively. If they're one thing that
the Titans have been known for, it's good defense in

(01:21:44):
a good running game. Neither have been particularly active in
this matchup in Cleveland.

Speaker 1 (01:21:50):
The Ravens are looking to get something done here. They
had an early score Lamar Jackson on a keeper and
they haven't done anything since trailing at home to the
Indianapolis Colts. No Anthony Richardson today, Gardner Minshew is in
at quarterback. He has played well, seventeen to twenty seven
hundred and twenty eight yards of score and no pick.

(01:22:12):
Zach Moss had seventy yards rushing in the first half,
has just won in the second half. But you look
at this Baltimore offense. What offense I mean they have
Lamar Jackson. Remember, they're going to pass the ball more
and we're going to see a different look for their offense.
Gus Edwards has forty nine yards on the ground, Melvin
Gordon is twenty one yards and not really getting the
kind of running game were used to. But Lamar Jackson,

(01:22:33):
they thought, is going to pass the ball more. No.
Twelve or fourteen, one hundred and eleven yards. So they've
been scoreless since early in that first quarter. Ravens of
the ball right now, but less than three minutes left
in the third quarter, trailing the Colts at home by
a score of thirteen to seven.

Speaker 2 (01:22:49):
And it's not exactly like they're playing the Steel Curtain
or the Monsters of the Midway right now. Indianapolis Colts
in the bottom third in terms of total offense allowed
against this defense throughout the early portion of this season.
So Baltimore has got to get things figured out. With Monkin,
their new offensive coordinator freshim from his time with the

(01:23:10):
Georgia Bulldogs, and Lamar Jackson, everybody needs to get back
on the same page, or I should say, get on
the same page.

Speaker 1 (01:23:17):
This season, the Vikings and the Chargers. The Chargers dismissed
a fifty three yard field goal, so the Vikings get
the ball back in the midfield, now into Chargers territory.
This game was a huge over under fifty three and
a half at kickoff right now. The Chargers laid by
a score of fourteen to ten. And for both of

(01:23:38):
these teams very similar. I mean, they're showing some highlights
or seeing glimpses of why we thought there was going
to be a really high scoring game, and then they
just shoot themselves on the foot. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:23:48):
Yeah, there's no question about it. Right now though, clean
game between Justin Herbert and Kirk Cousins. Justin Herbert twenty
nine to thirty five, passing two forty eight through the
air and two touchdown passes, Kirk in sixteen of twenty five,
one's sixty six and a touchdown himself. Fourteen to ten.
Game right now, Chargers leading the Vikings at home. But
like you said, Vikings driving third down opportunity on the

(01:24:11):
Chargers side of the field. They just broke the huddle
and in the first two games, uh, they've only tallied
sixty nine rushing yards, so they've eclipsed that. At least
they're getting the ground game going with Alexander Madison, but
they're definitely missing Dalvin Cook, who's having a very low
key start to his year in New York with the Jets.

(01:24:35):
And Kirk Cousins just got sacked. So fourth down for
the Vikings. I don't think they're gonna be able to
kick the field goal from here. They're gonna have to
punt it to the Chargers.

Speaker 1 (01:24:46):
The Jets still trailing the Patriots thirteen to three, four
and a half minutes to go in the third quarter.
Here are the Jets possessions today. Punt punt, punt, punt, punt,
field goal punt. Yeah, a pattern there. Yeah, it's not
going well. You could argue that the Jets do they
have anybody else on the roster that they could throw

(01:25:06):
in a quarterback? I mean, I mean, yeah, Joe Flacco, Tim, No,
he's not on the teammate you, Tim Boyle, I believe
is the backup to Zach Wilson. Zach Wilson. You can't
twenty two. They have fifty seven total yards. Yeah, yeah,
you got to get somebody else in the game. I
mean it's not like it's not like the Patriots are
running away. I mean it's a pedestrian day for Mac Jones.

(01:25:30):
Twelve to twenty two hundred and sixty five yards and
a score. It's a winnable game. Yep. Yeah. But now
when you have a zero from your quarterback, I just
I don't Robert Sala, I really want to be a
fan of his, but he's not making it easy. And
you can say, well, he loses Aaron Rodgers, Okay, but

(01:25:51):
I mean you can't just keep doing the same thing
hoping for different results.

Speaker 2 (01:25:57):
Well, look, Robert Sala and this Jets defen they were
a top ten defense a year ago. They've got a
lot of bright spots around this offense. But you cannot
win in this league with a quarterback like Zach Wilson.
What he taught us last year is he can't hang
at this level. What we've seen from him so far
this year is he can hang at this level. And
is it is it fair?

Speaker 1 (01:26:17):
No?

Speaker 2 (01:26:18):
I mean, nobody's waiting forever for a guy to catch up.
But he was foisted into action last season and showed
to be often injured, and then when he was available
wasn't particularly effective, and so they found a replacement, a
Hall of Fame replacement, and I think heading into this season,
I'm not saying he put it into cruise control, but

(01:26:40):
there's a certain different There's definitely a different level of
expectation on a quarterback when he's just a backup, and
I'm sure the pressure was off him a little bit.
But after four games into that Bills opener, he's back
at it and nothing's changed. He looks like he's still
being confounded by defenses and the Patriots are never an
easy task for an Inexces quarterback.

Speaker 1 (01:27:00):
All Right, we have a change in that Ravens Colts game.
The Ravens have scored to take a fourteen to thirteen lead,
Lamar Jackson's second rushing touchdown of the game. So Lamar
Jackson fourteen to sixteen, one hundred and thirty three yards
through the year, nine carries, sixty five yards and two
touchdowns on the ground. So we got right at the
end of the third quarter there. Meanwhile, the Miami Dolphins

(01:27:20):
are showing no mercy. This looks like the Oregon Colorado
game yesterday. Did you watch that? Yeah? That was that
was That was I mean they were on a mission
to When you when you're up thirteen nothing and you
go for a fake punt from your own like fifteen
yard line, you know that you're out there to embarrass
your opponent thirty five nothing at halftime, Dion could spin

(01:27:42):
it any way he wants. I mean, he was, you know, saying, hey,
we got our butts whipped. But I mean when you
they have no offensive line and no defensive line, that's
a bad combination.

Speaker 2 (01:27:52):
Yeah, they're going to struggle until they get those areas fixed.
Devon a chain for the Miami.

Speaker 1 (01:27:57):
Dolphins had a huge game.

Speaker 2 (01:27:59):
Unbelieved well, shotgun formation takes a rush off the left
end of this Miami Dolphins formation for forty yards.

Speaker 1 (01:28:08):
Yeah, so he has one hundred and fourteen yards rushing.
Mostart has seventy eight yards rushians that's one ninety two combined.
They have three touchdowns combined on the ground, and a
Chane has a receiving touchdown as well. Now Tua Tonga
Voloa has an incomplete pass. Now okay, well he's now
eighteen of nineteen. I say, for two hundred and thirty

(01:28:29):
seven yards two touchdowns. That's unforgivable. Well, I'm tired of it, honestly,
Tyreek Hill seven catches, one hundred and thirty one yards
and a score. He may get two thousand yards by
the halfway point. I see.

Speaker 2 (01:28:40):
I mean, oh, I thought you're gonna say, by the
halfway point of the second half, which is it's possible
against his Denver defense, who is stopping nobody doing nothing.
Keenan Allen with a big catch in this Vikings game,
Chargers right now leading fourteen to ten, and Keenan I
think already on the day if I saw this stack correct,
he has double digit receptions and he just added another

(01:29:03):
one there, I mean number thirteen. He may end up
in the Hall of Fame one day, Folks. He's thirty
years old. He's just as effective as he's always been.
A little bit of a stock compiler because I realized
that there haven't been deep playoff pushes. But as an
individual talent, Keenan Allen is otherworldly in terms of his talent.

Speaker 1 (01:29:20):
Well, I understand what you're saying on and as Keenan
Allen throws it deep touchdowns, a touchdown for the Chargers,
a walking touchdown for was that Mike Williams.

Speaker 2 (01:29:31):
It was so just as I was talking about Keenan Allen,
the receiver. Keenan Allen on the double pass, throws a
touchdown pass and the Chargers take a twenty ten lead.

Speaker 1 (01:29:41):
Yeah. The Vikings bid on that one big time. By
the way, updating, Keenan Allen has twelve catches for one
hundred and thirty five yards and now he has a
touchdown pass. So he's having a Hall of Fame game
for the Chargers. Again, this is a battle of zero
to two teams. You know, Rich had the stat what
two percent chance making the playoffs? If you go to
zero and two three two and a half percent, two

(01:30:03):
and a half percent chance. Yeah, to make sure Chargers
now with the extra point is good. Twenty one to ten.
Chargers lead on the road against the Vikings inside six
minutes ago in the third quarter. Justin Herbert now thirty
of thirty six two hundred and seventy three yards, two touchdowns.
But that's not good enough. Keenan Allen has a perfect
passer rating of one fifty eight point three one for

(01:30:26):
one forty nine yards and a touchdown. There to Mike Williams,
all right, we continue on here. Which games are gonna
end up being the ones that go right down to
the finish. It's hard to tell yet we're still in
the third quarter. Everybody relocks, by the way, nobody freak out.

Speaker 16 (01:30:55):
Zone Radio from left to right with Mike Boone back
deep yard deep at the end zone. Last time he
let it bounce and this is going to be inside
the tent and this is dropped.

Speaker 1 (01:31:07):
Beck still going running to the right side.

Speaker 5 (01:31:09):
Beck has some room twenty five, thirty, thirty five, forty,
He's at the fifty. He's at the forty five of Jacksonville.
Beck across the thirty. That's toy fifty ten five.

Speaker 1 (01:31:19):
Are you kidding?

Speaker 5 (01:31:20):
Rock and Roll touchdown Houston's just sign tex My goodness,
excuse me.

Speaker 1 (01:31:27):
Texans Radio Network. That wasn't even a return guy.

Speaker 2 (01:31:31):
It was a rock and roll show's muffed punt attempt
on fourth down by the Texans. The up back the
full back, the personal protector for the punter, Andrew Beck
the linebacker.

Speaker 1 (01:31:43):
Full back, who do you look like a linebacker?

Speaker 2 (01:31:46):
He picked up the football and he ran for eighty
plus yards in the score for the Houston Texas.

Speaker 1 (01:31:51):
That was unbelieable. So the the Jacks had just kicked
a field goal. They kick off and eighty five yards
were a touchdown. So the Texans lead the Jaguars by
a score of twenty four to ten. Once again, this
is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. We are live from
the tire rack dot com studios. All right, we're watching

(01:32:12):
the Vikings right now, and they have just scored a touchdown.
So the Vikings get right back in at Osborne on
the receiving end. We just looked up because they had a.

Speaker 2 (01:32:23):
Nice strike by Kirk Cousins on the deep crossing route
to kJ Osborne and he does the rest man.

Speaker 1 (01:32:29):
Was that a fourth down play?

Speaker 11 (01:32:30):
That was fourth and six?

Speaker 1 (01:32:31):
They were fourth and six? Wow, what a breakdown by
the Chargers defense. So fourth and six at the thirty
six yard line.

Speaker 2 (01:32:41):
Chargers may have an opportunity to challenge here. I know
every single scoring play is reviewed, so they won't have
to challenge.

Speaker 1 (01:32:46):
But they're kicking an extra point, so there's no challenge here.

Speaker 2 (01:32:49):
Did his foot touch the white though when he took off?
We'll see if they let this snap go and.

Speaker 1 (01:32:55):
The snap is off, the extra point is no good miss?
No he got it? Okay? Oh? Can I see a
replay of that? Wow? So anyway, on a fourth and
six at the Chargers thirty six yard line, Osborne wide
open on a crossing battern and he goes into the

(01:33:16):
end zone. So watch this play right now. So check
this out.

Speaker 2 (01:33:20):
This is what you call a sail route by the
slot receiver, which was kJ Osborne. It looks like he's
running a slant and then he goes vertical at the
hash mark and then he flattens out again to run
the deep cross. Great and there is available on the
twenty the number, and he dives from the four yard
line a yard deep into the end zone.

Speaker 1 (01:33:40):
Look at this almost from the five. Look how far
he flew. That is unbelievable. And that left foot was
right on the line, but they said it was not
across the line. So just like that, the Vikings are
back in this one, trailing the Chargers by a score
of twenty one to seventeen. This has the feeling of
one of those games, right. I mean, we got three
minutes to go in the third quarter, and you know,

(01:34:02):
first half maybe didn't live up to the offensive hype
that we predicted. It's beginning to look like it right now.
Justin Herbert thirty at thirty six, two seventy three, two touchdowns,
no picks. Kirk Cusins twenty at thirty one, two thirty one,
two touchdowns and no picks. So I think we're going
to see a big shootout in this game. So the
last man standing.

Speaker 11 (01:34:22):
We have a Josh Allen touchdown.

Speaker 1 (01:34:24):
We have a Josh Allen touchdown. Ok. Yeah, this has
been a long day for the Commanders. A long day
for the Commanders today. Down twenty three n Sam how
thirteen to twenty one hundred and ten yards, no touchdowns
and three picks. He has been sacked five times in
this game, and this really was you know, the Bills

(01:34:45):
have been out of sorts. I don't know if a
win over the Commanders changes that, but this is a
team that you know, a year ago was the odds
on favorite to win the Super Bowl. Did not happen,
and now we were watching him right now. By the way,
speaking of winning the Super Bowl. My prediction for winning
the Super Bowl this year on our Master Roster of Predictions, Yeah,

(01:35:08):
the Cincinnati Bengals. Oh yeah, And now the Bengals have
finally realized that there's something wrong with a quarterback right right,
And there has been something wrong with her quarterback obviously
since the season started, because Joe Burrow of twenty twenty
three bears no resemblance of that Joe Burrow that we've
seen over the last couple of years. So they're going
to be hosting the Rams this week, a rematch of

(01:35:30):
the Super Bowl from a couple of years ago. But
you talk about an zero to two team on the verge,
that's where the Bengals are right now.

Speaker 2 (01:35:36):
Yeah, and they have a tough decision for Monday Night football. Look,
this calf injury obviously was severe. It took him out
of training camp completely. Zach Taylor doesn't have Joe Burrow
play many or any preseason snaps, and for good reason,
he's been great without having that work. Although he's just

(01:35:59):
like starter and so a lot of people chalked up
that first loss and his performance against the Cleveland Browns
to just being a little bit of a slow starter
certain years.

Speaker 1 (01:36:07):
It's his plant leg. He can't throw the ball deep.

Speaker 2 (01:36:10):
Yeah, I mean, but when you have when you have
that right leg, I mean, think about it. You bouncing around,
you're a right handed quarterback. You're bouncing around, and then
you try to push off, yes, and step into your throat.

Speaker 1 (01:36:21):
There's nothing, There's no juice. And that's why everyone's like,
why is he not throwing the ball down the field? Yeah,
well that's why.

Speaker 2 (01:36:27):
That's why. And so we'll find out they had the
extra day's rest. We'll see what happens on Monday night.
But but there are some in the building. This by
Deanna Russini recently, who got the scoop here. There are
some in the building, in the Bengals building who want
to see Burrow and fully recovered from his calf injury
before he returns to action. But there are others who

(01:36:48):
fear the team's playoffs hopes are on the line and
want Burrow in the game. So there is obviously competing
voices over what they should do about Burrow in their
upcoming matches.

Speaker 1 (01:36:59):
Well, you know, Borough wants to play. I mean, that's
his attitude. I mean, he's a competitor. He wants to
get out there. By the way, the Colts and Ravens
have swapped field goals, so the Ravens retake the lead
seventeen to sixteen, seven and a half minutes to go
in the fourth quarter there and they have the ball.
Patriots continue to lead the Jets thirteen to three. The
Jets completely inept offensively. The Packers have a fourth and

(01:37:24):
seven at the Saints twenty yard line. They decided to
settle for the field goals, so the Packers are finally
on the board eleven minutes to go in the fourth quarter.
Saints still lead this game seventeen to three. Derek Carr
went out with a shoulder injury in this game for
the Saints. We haven't had any update other than that
Jameis Winston has come in to replace him, so Saint's

(01:37:47):
still very much in control. Sean Watson Worth mentioning today
as the Browns are just demolishing the Titans twenty to three,
it's not even that close of a game. But Deshaun
Watson twenty four of thirty rich two. We'arning thirty nine yards,
a touchdown and no picks. Not much of a running game. Obviously,
Without Nick Chubb in the line of Kareem Hump four

(01:38:07):
carries fourteen yards, Jerome Ford eight carries with twenty one yards.
So Watson really needed a step up today without that
running game, and he has done just that.

Speaker 2 (01:38:17):
Yeah, there's no doubt that Deshaun Watson is starting to
feel it again, right getting back to the old Houston
days where he was a top five quarterback in this league.
I mean that was in very good Houston team toward
the end of his time with the Texans, who he
was leading into battle, and he was sensational as an
individual talent. That's the type of quarterback you want. Now,

(01:38:40):
the personal stuffed off the field stuff. It's impossible to
separate the athlete from the person. And he's still I
believe going through some of that the sexual assault allegations
against Deshaun Watson there were twenty plus civil allegations made,
most of which from massage therapists. Bizarre situation, but at

(01:39:01):
least on the field, it's getting better for the Browns.

Speaker 1 (01:39:05):
One guy that's had a lot of injury problems in
his career, he's a talent, Mike Williams wide receiver for
the Chargers, and he is limping off the field right
now for the Chargers.

Speaker 2 (01:39:17):
Okay, so Mike Williams over the years, it looks like
he was grabbing that left in thee Goodness gracious, that
is such a blow for this Chargers receiving corps. And
he is being aided with the help of two of
the athletic trainers from the Chargers' staff off the field
and very ginger with that left leg right now.

Speaker 1 (01:39:36):
All right, I want to I want to allow Chris
to jump in and talk about his Lions. I believe
they just got in the end zone. Yep.

Speaker 7 (01:39:43):
A bit of a struggle here for the offense, but
Lions have now Jared Goff after it was I think
it was Falcons went for an and fourth down turnover there,
and the Lions have answered, capping off a run toward
the end owned with Jared Goff taking it in himself.

Speaker 1 (01:39:59):
Yeah. The Falcon undefeated records that most likely is going
to end today. They've done nothing offensively against this Lions defense,
and that that was the big story obviously. Sacks in
the game for the Lions. Yeah, well, I mean this
was the big story for the Lions going into the season.
We knew they could score. Jamier Gibbs, by the way,
seventy nine yards on the ground, So he has looked

(01:40:19):
very good as a rookie. But defense, I mean, this
was one of the worst defensive teams in the league
a year ago, rich and they could only get better.
And that's exactly what we seen from the Lions, certainly
today against Atlanta. Yeah, and I think it.

Speaker 2 (01:40:33):
Really comes down to one player who's getting better and
better every single game. You see him out there, Aiden Hutchinson,
who just puts so much pressure on opposing quarterbacks. You know,
we talk about TJ. Watt and the Bosa brothers and
what we've seen from Miles Garrett and Aaron Donald, but
Aiden Hutchinson needs to start getting his due. He and

(01:40:54):
it's not always sacks, right, it's pressure. He gets a
ton of pressure, and those hurries they account for interception sometimes,
they account for missed opportunities on third downs. Especially he's
a special player and he's anchoring that defense in Detroit.

Speaker 1 (01:41:07):
All right, it's speaking a third down. The Chargers had
a third and nine and Jefferson Herbert was stripped of
the ball. He fell on his own fumble, but that
will force a punt for the Chargers. So the Vikings.
We're down twenty one to ten, now twenty one to
seventeen coming to the end of this third quarter, and
they will get the ball back after this punt. All right,

(01:41:29):
let's find out what is trending right now. And Mostart
is having a day for the Dolphins, which is really
good news for Manzi Vilagna.

Speaker 9 (01:41:37):
It really is.

Speaker 8 (01:41:37):
I also, when did I say I got him like
in the eleventh round, Like it was such a last minute.
And I also have Jalen Waddle, so I had a
bench him. I was an expecting Moster to kind of
carry all of it. I was thinking it was going
to be Tyreek kill. But hey, win win, not a
win win for everybody though, like the Titans, Falcons and Packers.

Speaker 9 (01:41:56):
We have only hit a fieldal in this game.

Speaker 8 (01:41:59):
So Browns all over the Titans, Deshaun Watson, you mentioned
it a much better game. Two hundred and thirty nine
yards in the air and a touchdown in the Browns
are up twenty to three with less than ten minutes
to go in the game. Lions all over the Falcons,
twenty to three. Jared Goff two hundred and forty three
yards in the air, one touchdown in one interception Amon
Ross Saint Brown, who was questionable, ended up playing nine receptions.

Speaker 9 (01:42:20):
One hundred and two yards. The Saints are beating the Packers.
No more Derek Carr.

Speaker 8 (01:42:24):
They officially rolled him out for the rest of the
game with that shoulder injury after being sacked very early
in the third quarter. But they are beating the Packers
seventeen to three. I am shocked about this one. Jordan
lev had a good week one and I thought he
was gonna.

Speaker 9 (01:42:37):
Keep it going.

Speaker 8 (01:42:38):
But I'm surprised if the Packers only have three points.
But again, they have a depleted roster playing a bunch
of players not playing for Green Bay. The Dolphins honestly
have been so close to perfect against the Broncos forty.

Speaker 9 (01:42:50):
Two to thirteen, a little over a minute to go
in the third quarter.

Speaker 8 (01:42:53):
The Chargers and the Vikings have been going back and forth,
with LA back on top twenty one to seventeen, and
they're about to start the fourth quarter. Justin Herbert three
hundred yards, two touchdowns, Keenan Allen, who not only had
a touchdown, had fourteen receptions one hundred and fifty one yards.
And then we have the Patriots beating the Jets thirteen
to three with ten minutes to go in the game.
You guys are talking about the Jets were booing. I

(01:43:15):
just saw make sure.

Speaker 2 (01:43:16):
Mom Cy yes, Moster just on another this time receiving touchdowns.

Speaker 1 (01:43:24):
Can I say this? That may have been the Broncos
defense has been an embarrassment this entire day. That might
have been the most embarrassing. A little swing passed a Most.

Speaker 2 (01:43:37):
And mistackle, little dancing on the sideline, I mean, makes
another guy miss Wow?

Speaker 1 (01:43:45):
Are you happy?

Speaker 9 (01:43:46):
Right?

Speaker 1 (01:43:46):
Like?

Speaker 9 (01:43:47):
I'm okay? Like a fifth one, a fifth touchdown.

Speaker 8 (01:43:50):
He's forty five points in one of my leagues I
would like fifty.

Speaker 9 (01:43:54):
So come on Most, that's pretty awesome. Thank you? Where
was I? Oh yeah, Patriots and the Jets.

Speaker 8 (01:44:01):
I just saw a picture that whoever did the Jets,
you know, end zone painting their name or whatever. I guess,
messed up and left footprints all over their end zone.

Speaker 9 (01:44:12):
So maybe that's what the fans are mad about.

Speaker 8 (01:44:14):
You could see little white footprints are their end zone.

Speaker 9 (01:44:17):
You have one job, and that's not it.

Speaker 8 (01:44:20):
The Bills are still killing the Commanders who have not
yet scored thirty zero, ten minutes to go in the game,
Texans all over the Jaguars.

Speaker 9 (01:44:27):
I'm still looking for Trevor Lawrence.

Speaker 8 (01:44:29):
I'm gonna put him on a milk carton twenty seven
to ten. Early in the fourth Colton Ravens have been
back and forth. Baltimore back on top seventeen sixteen, four
minutes to go in the game. Ravens have the ball.
Lamar Jackson has done stuff on the ground, in the air,
the whole thing back to you. Oh no, wait, wait
wait AP Top twenty five looks different.

Speaker 9 (01:44:47):
AP Top twenty five, Real quick, looks a little different.

Speaker 8 (01:44:49):
Colorado fell out of the top twenty five after getting
whooped by Oregon. Georgia, Michigan Texas are still top three.
Ohio State moved up to four, Florida State dropped to five.
I've Penn State moved up to six, Washington up to seven,
USC fell to eight. Wow, Oregon and Utah round out
the top ten.

Speaker 1 (01:45:07):
US see ill, that was a late game for a
lot of people. Very They gave up twenty eight points
to Arizona State.

Speaker 16 (01:45:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:45:15):
I mean their defense like this, they can't tackle, I
mean awful tackling.

Speaker 9 (01:45:21):
Is it because it's so late and they're so tired.

Speaker 1 (01:45:23):
I'm tired now, very sleepy. Yeah yeah, yeah, sometimes you
get sleepy out there. I can tell you that for me.
Yeah yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:45:29):
Everyone can stay up for Pac twelve after she's all
smiles right now with that most or day.

Speaker 1 (01:45:33):
By the way, just to update eight chain with Miami,
he has one hundred and fifty one yards from scrimmage
and two touchdowns. Mozart has one hundred and forty two
yards from scrimmage and four touchdowns to a tongue by
law twenty to twenty five ninety nine yards, three touchdowns.
You said he needed more yards out of two way
you're getting just that. Oh yeah. Once again, this is

(01:45:55):
Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. We are live from the
tyrack dot com studios. So rich as I'm looking at
the games right now, yes, we really only have a
couple of games that appear to be in doubt. That
would be the Ravens and the Colts. The Ravens leading
the Colts seventeen to sixteen, three minutes twenty seconds to

(01:46:15):
go on the fourth core, the Ravens.

Speaker 2 (01:46:17):
Have the Russell Waver just through an interception. It's Miami
ball on the first play from scrimmage following the Moster
reception for touchdown, Miami leading forty nine to thirteen.

Speaker 1 (01:46:29):
How's this press conference going to go with Sean paytondoff.

Speaker 2 (01:46:31):
By one of the defensive linemen who jumped up and
knocked the ball into his own hands, Russell Wilson and well, actually,
the Denver Broncos are having one of the worst football
games we've seen in recent memory.

Speaker 1 (01:46:45):
All right, So the ball was thrown right into the
middle of the pile. This is one problem when you
have a shorter quarterback is throwing over guys and the
ball bounces into the Dolphins hands. Forty nine to thirteen.
Dolphins now have a first in goal at the Denver
eight yard line to add to their dominant lead. So
the other game that is still in doubt is this

(01:47:07):
Chargers Vikings game. The Vikings trail the Chargers twenty one
to seventeen. We figured this would be a shootout game.
Two zho to two teams desperate to avoid that dreaded
oh to three start. Vikings have the ball right now
at they're on thirty seven yard line facing a third
and four, So we thought this might be the shootout

(01:47:29):
game of the day. I'm hoping still a lot of
time left. I got fourteen minutes to go, actually under
fourteen minutes now in the fourth quarter, big third and
four for the Vikings, and they get the first down there,
so they'll move the ball. Meanwhile, the Dolphins, I don't know,
how do you feel in an NFL game about pouring
it on? Well, look, it's professional, does it all? At times?

Speaker 2 (01:47:50):
There is a such thing as sportsmanship. It's not all
is lost in terms of sportsmanship at the college level
or the professional level. But for these teams in college football,
what you got to worry about is, especially in conference,
being embarrassed yourself if you end up having a year
where you're behind eight ball. But but you also got

(01:48:11):
to remember that the more points you score, the better
your offense looks, especially and how important that is to
TV ratings. You want to win over that boardroom at
the end of the season and get your way into
a four team playoff. It's going to be expanded obviously
next season, but that's what it's at currently in the NFL.
These are all professionals, you know what I mean, Like, yeah,
you might be hurting feelings and you might have personal

(01:48:32):
relationships with some of these other coaches, but if you
can score, then score because I mean, whose feelings are
you protecting? Everybody is at the highest level. Everybody is
getting paid a lot of money. It's a bunch of
grown men out there paying mortgages, you know, providing for
their families. If you can score, then score. So the
Miami Dolphins, they will show no quarter here. If they

(01:48:55):
can put another score on the board against the Denver Broncos,
then why not.

Speaker 1 (01:48:59):
All right, So the end of the third quarter in
that game, Dolphense have a second in goal at the
Denver ten yard line. Meanwhile, the Vikings running game is
working today against this Chargers defense. Chargers came in with
a thirty first ranked defense in the league, and the Vikings, now,
you know, Alexander Madison has had quietly a very very

(01:49:21):
good day. Fifteen carries ninety yards on the ground. Meanwhile,
we got a sack right there on Kirk Cousins held
the ball a little bit too long. So second down
coming up here for the Vikings. Just to run down
some of the other games going on right now. Again,
the Browns have demolished the Titans twenty seven to three.
Dereck Henry in this game eleven carries twenty yards. Let

(01:49:44):
me repeat Derek Henry eleven carries twenty yards. Falcons now
have the ball first and goal at the Lions seven
yard line. I can see a little shaking going on
with Chris our resident Lions.

Speaker 2 (01:49:55):
So what happened was on first and ten, Aiden Hutchinson
I was just talking about him, got a sack, knocked
them back to a second and seventeen and Ritter was
able to throw short up the middle. Another one for
about fifteen yards gets them down to the Detroit seven.

Speaker 1 (01:50:11):
Hold on a second, folks, the New York Jets, Wait
a second, do we have a touchdown for the Vikings.

Speaker 2 (01:50:18):
Jefferson gets in the end zone against this Chargers defense.
Twenty three to twenty one ballgame. Vikings reclaim the lead
fourth quarter, eleven to twenty left in this affair.

Speaker 1 (01:50:29):
Remember this is going to turn into that shootout. It's
going to turn into that shootout, buddy, let me tell
that might actually turn And that's the Jets and the Page.
I thought you were going to say Denver Miami. So
the Patriots had just been sitting on this thirteen to
three lead and the Jets now have a second goal
at the nine divine yard line. Devon a chain by

(01:50:51):
the way while we were speaking, scored another touchdown for
the Miami Dolphins. Another one, so a quick shovel pass
the same way they set up the last one. Yeah,
it turns out to look like a middle. Seventy walking
touchdowns have the Dolphins had today?

Speaker 2 (01:51:06):
I mean four, that's three or four on the day,
and their running backs cumulatively have scored five touchdowns the
running backs for the Miami Dolphins.

Speaker 1 (01:51:16):
Is that accurate?

Speaker 10 (01:51:16):
No?

Speaker 3 (01:51:16):
No?

Speaker 1 (01:51:17):
Seven, six, No seven touchdowns? You have? Most are with
four eight three. He's got three three, good lord, seven
touchdowns fifty six points that the only touchdown that they
didn't score was the bomb to Tyreek Hill.

Speaker 2 (01:51:34):
Fifty six points is a franchise record for the Miami Dolphins. Previously,
they had fifty five points in a November game back
in nineteen seventy seven. Denver is being completely embarrassed.

Speaker 1 (01:51:46):
Okay, now the Jets, I want to I'm trying to
get another game into the conversation. It could be the
Jets and the Patriots, and the Jets have a first
and goal at the New England one yard line. So
the Jets, if they get in the end zone, extra
point would make it a three point game. The Patriots
haven't lit it up offensively obviously against that outstanding Jets defense.

(01:52:10):
But somehow zem Way Zach Wilson has engineered and it's
a touchdown button up the middle there. It is one
yard touchdown for the Jets, so they're an extra point
away from making it a one a field goal game. Yep.

Speaker 2 (01:52:26):
It's not often you see a fullback score a touchdown,
but that's exactly what happened. Nick Nick Bowden, who is
a former San Diego State Aztec. Wow, he bangs his
head off a couple of New England Patriot defenders and
gets in for the score.

Speaker 1 (01:52:43):
All right, we're gonna continue on on these big finishes. Vikings, Chargers,
dare I say, Jets and Patriots for all the latest
keep it here. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio,
empty backfield for Lamar Jackson.

Speaker 3 (01:52:58):
Takes the snap looking to the left, He cuts it,
runs Lamar to the five to the three.

Speaker 1 (01:53:03):
Stretches, touchdown, Ravens. Lamart Jackson puts the Ravens back in
the end zone and Justin Tucker can put him back
in the lead. That's ninety eight Rock Ravens Radio Network.
Ravens lead the Colts nineteen to sixteen inside two minutes
to go in the fourth quarter in that game. This

(01:53:24):
is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. We are live from
the tiraq dot Com studios. All right, so the games
are watching right now. The Chargers have the ball, trailing
the Vikings by a score of twenty four to twenty one,
and Justin Herbert just threw one to Keenan Allen twenty
yards down to the Minnesota thirty yard line. Keenan Allen

(01:53:47):
in this game has sixteen catches for one hundred and
ninety two yards and he threw a forty nine yard
touchdown pass oh most in touchten zone.

Speaker 12 (01:53:58):
En zone for the Chargers off the hands of one
of the Vikings defenders.

Speaker 1 (01:54:02):
Looked like he was gonna be a pitch.

Speaker 2 (01:54:05):
Palmer Wow steals it away and falls backwards over the
goal line.

Speaker 1 (01:54:09):
Evans had his hands on the ball looking for the interception.
It bounced off his hands right into Palmer's hands, who
falls back into the end zone. Touchdown Chargers. This is crazy.
He was an interception that was both hands on. The
ball went right to his hands, just falls into Palmer's hands.
He falls back in the end zone. Touchdown.

Speaker 3 (01:54:30):
LA.

Speaker 2 (01:54:30):
That was a bad throw. That was an underthrown ball.
Justin Herbert. I mean, look that you know Pro Football
Focus they say whatever turnover worthy throws, like, it's not
just about interceptions, it's like, hey, also, did you get
away with one where the defender got hit in the
chest with it and it fell to the ground. Accounts
as an incompletion. But we all saw it right, It

(01:54:52):
was a bad pass. That was a bad pass, but
somehow Evans wasn't able to reel it in as he
was falling down by and Joshua Palmer reels it in
for a score twenty eight to twenty four lead in
Minnesota for the Chargers in the fourth.

Speaker 1 (01:55:06):
All right, if you bet the over, we're at fifty
two now in this game, so we're a score away
from going over and the Vikings will get the ball.
Still a lot of time, over eight minutes to go
in this game. Meanwhile, Patriots Jets. The Jets now have
the ball back, trailing the Patriots thirteen to ten, two

(01:55:27):
forty four to go in the fourth quarter. So this
is one game we'd completely written off, ignored. Happens every
week we have a game like this. Zach Wilson had
done absolutely nothing until their last drive and they are
able to get it into the end zone. So now
the Jets got a long way to go, but they
have a chance. And again all they want to do
is get into field goal range and try to send

(01:55:49):
this game in overtime. So we'll keep our eye on
New England leading the Jets by a score of thirteen
to ten.

Speaker 2 (01:55:56):
Every time I look up, the Miami Dolphins have the
football back. They have now put in all of their backups. Yes,
I'm not even sure who they trotted out there at quarterback,
but two his days down, I think it's Mike White. Yeah,
there it is. Mike White is the quarterback in. They
have their backup run all their backupsparient. But Denver finally
got a stop after going three and out. Russell Wilson

(01:56:16):
attempted to and complete passes on the drive for Denver
when they got the ball back after the eight chain score,
and they'll get another opportunity here. But this is one
of the biggest beatings anybody's taken in a long time
in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (01:56:32):
As much as I like this beating, I like seeing it.
Can we switch that game to the Colts Ravens game.
Colts have the ball right now, trailing the Ravens by
a score of nineteen to sixteen, they have a third
and one at the Ravens twenty nine yard line. Gardner
Minshew is in a quarterback today for the Anthony Richardson,
So with swatches right now it's third and one. They're

(01:56:53):
at the twenty nine yard line of the Ravens with
a little over a minute to go on the fourth quarter,
and oh wow, illegal proceigures.

Speaker 2 (01:57:01):
It's gonna be a delay of game. I think, I
think I think they allowed the play.

Speaker 1 (01:57:05):
Clock no fall far st that on a third and one?
Are you kidding me?

Speaker 2 (01:57:10):
So? The clock, by the way, it was down. I
don't blame the tackle because the clock was down to one.
They were going to get a penalty either way. The
ball wasn't being snapped for whatever reason, I don't know.
Colt's disorganized. It's now a third and six, and like
you said, Indy trailing by three here with a minute oh.

Speaker 1 (01:57:28):
Seven, they're inf in the game. They're in field goal range,
but losing five yards doesn't help it. Now, all of
a sudden, instead of a forty six yard field goal,
you're looking at a fifty one yard field goal to
try to tie this up. So third and six right now,
Gardner Minshew minutes seven to go, trailing the Ravens by
a score of nineteen sixteen. Throws it to the end
zone and that ball is caught. No, dropped, dropped, Oh

(01:57:50):
my goodness, good throw, good throw. Can't hang on, got
to catch.

Speaker 2 (01:57:54):
Those well, it would have been down to the two
yard line. And yeah, that was in and out of
the receiver hands. Great defense though, oh my gosh, as
they were going to the ground, the Ravens defender able
to swat it away.

Speaker 1 (01:58:07):
All right. So so Matt Goolay comes onto the field. Who's
three for three on the day. All right, So Matt
Gay will try to tie this game up. A minute
two to go. Ravens are leading the Indianapolis Colts. Let's
keep our eye on this field goal attempt for Matt Gay, who,
as you mentioned, perfect on the day. The kick is
up and the kick is good. Wow, that's a fifty

(01:58:28):
three yard er right just down the middle. All right,
So nineteen all fifty seven seconds to go, and we
expect the Ravens to get the ball back after the kickoff.
All right, The Vikings have the ball back now, trailing
the Chargers twenty eight to twenty four, eight minutes to
go in the fourth quarter in this one, and this

(01:58:49):
was expected to be a high scoring game and it's
been just that. But right now the Vikings are staring
at third and nine, and honestly, the way the Chargers
have been moved in the ball against the Vikings, you
can't punt here, no, even with seven minutes to go,
because the Vikings defense has shown no signs that they
know how to stop the sack fumble by who else?

(01:59:12):
Aiden Hutchinson?

Speaker 7 (01:59:13):
Is that his second tack on the day, second sack
on the day, and I think he also recovered the fumbles,
so that this is it.

Speaker 1 (01:59:19):
Lions are gonna win this? Am I looking at right
at this score between the Saints and the Packers or
the Packers in a position to take the lead. Yeah,
it looks like it is seventeen to eleven now, Saints
are up seventeen at the and a half time. The
Packers have a third and three at the Saints eight
yard line and they're down by six. So Jordan Love
now leading a comeback for the Green Bay Packers down

(01:59:43):
seventeen at the half.

Speaker 2 (01:59:45):
Three, okay't complete I'll have another chance at that. I'll
have another two chances at that.

Speaker 1 (01:59:50):
Okay, now that that was the third. Now they're in
third and three. All right, Oh okay, big finishes across
the board, don't go anywhere. We'll have it for This
is Fox Sports, a red zone radio from the thirty.
There comes the blitz again. Herbert goes to the end zone.

Speaker 10 (02:00:09):
Tip to the air, tot Palmer touchdown. Chargers never dive up,
never dive up on a play. It is off the
hands of a Caleb Evans Palmer with the sense to
secure it into the end zone for the score. What
a way to get your one hundredth career passing touchdown,

(02:00:30):
justin Herbert.

Speaker 1 (02:00:31):
That's KYSR ninety eight to seven. Chargers Radio Network. Chargers
still leading the Vikings twenty eight to twenty four, as
the Vikings had a meltdown in scoring position inside the
five yard line. Four shots and they got nothing. And
the Chargers have the ball once again, and the clock

(02:00:53):
is on their side with two point fifteen to go
and a first down. So the Chargers in good shape
and they're losing ways against a Vikings team that outcharged
the Chargers. They like Chargering out there the Vikings right now.
By the way, this is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.
We're broadcasting live from the ti rack dot com studios
tyrack dot com. We're gonna help get you there an

(02:01:14):
unmatched selection fast reshipping free road has a protection over
ten thousand recommended installers tyraq dot com. The way tire
buying should be. Meanwhile, the Green Bay Packers, who were
down seventeen nothing at halftime to the Saints, have come
all the way back and have taken an eighteen seventeen lead. However,

(02:01:35):
the Saints are on the move right now, Rich.

Speaker 2 (02:01:37):
Yes, they are. Yeah, the Saints. Look, this is a
different looking Saints obviously because a shoulder injury is what's
being reported. Dark Carr not in this game. Jamis Winston
has done a really nice job with this offense in
the fourth quarter, keeping them in this ballgame and currently
driving right now at their own thirty two nine yard

(02:02:00):
line against Green Bay.

Speaker 1 (02:02:03):
All right, the Ravens are attempting a sixty one yard
field goal to win the game, and it's good. No,
he missed just short, so straight Tucker and he's unbelievable. Okay,
So keeping her eye on. Oh, I thought we had
a game here, but we don't. The Jets were trying
to come back against the Patriots. They had the ball back,

(02:02:25):
but they now have turned it over a Zach Wilson
pass was short of the first down. So the Patriots
have the ball and the lead fifteen to ten over
the Jets a minute nineteen to go. But Rich, I
want to go back to the sequence of places for
the Vikings. The Vikings running game just running right through
the middle of the Chargers. So they got the ball
down to about the three yard line, and on second down,

(02:02:47):
Chargers blitz correctly stop the run about the two yard line.
Third down, and fourth down, they passed the ball. When
you are running the ball with that kind of efficiency
against the Chargers, what are you doing? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:03:05):
And I mean, and that really that's coaching, That situational coaching.
And you're you're talking about a battle between two very
young coaches. Kevin O'Connell won a lot of close games
last year with the Minnesota Vikings. In this situation here
at the goal line, not securing a score, not getting
not getting points in that situation is it's a disaster.

Speaker 1 (02:03:26):
The Dolphins are about to get up to seventy another
one an either one. The Dolphins just got eight change
just ran sixty seven yards for a score. I'm trying
to do the numbers now. The Miami Dolphins have put
up seventy Now, understand this about the significance of seventy Yeah,
in the history of the National Football League, Someone's going

(02:03:50):
to have to look this up. But I believe the
all time record was this seventy three nothing game, was
very famous nineteen forty championship game. But in the regular season,
I believe the most he's ever scored is seventy two.
I believe there's only been a couple of seventy games.

Speaker 11 (02:04:05):
That's what I see right now.

Speaker 1 (02:04:06):
To sway, ever, in the history of the National Football League,
the Washington Washington beat the New York Giants.

Speaker 7 (02:04:12):
Seventy two nineteen sixty six. He's sending this even further so.
In the last seven days, the Broncos have now given
up over one hundred points.

Speaker 1 (02:04:20):
Yeah, well seventy Today.

Speaker 2 (02:04:21):
Nineteen fifty the Rams beat the Colts seventy to twenty seven.

Speaker 1 (02:04:25):
Yes, that's it. Those are the only other seventy point games.
H a today who we didn't even know how to
pronounce his name when the day began. He has two
hundred three yards rushing and thirty yards receiving. He has
four touchdowns most hurt. He has four touchdowns eight touchdowns
from your running backs they have I'm trying to add

(02:04:47):
this up right now in my head. Here they have
six hundred and seventy yards in offense.

Speaker 2 (02:04:53):
Hey, quick update on Keenan Allen. As the Chargers are
driving against Minnesota Vikings here facing a third and ten opportunity,
and he I think it was close. He might have
gotten the first down on the receipt market short. Okay, well, Keenan.
That is his seventeenth reception of the game. He has

(02:05:13):
two hundred and five yards through the air. He's also
tossed a touchdown pass today on a double pass for
forty nine yards, so he is responsible. Oh sorry, that
was his eighteenth reception. He's too short of the record.
Now the record is twenty. He's eighteen or excuse me,
eighteen receptions two fifteen. So he's responsible for almost three

(02:05:34):
hundred yards of offense for the Chargers today.

Speaker 1 (02:05:36):
But the Chargers came up short and fourth and one.
You're not going to he is he going to go
for it? Are you on? On to the field, yeps.
So they are at their own Where are they right now?
They're on their own Basically, you would be handing the
ball off. This is a Brandon Staly special right now.

(02:06:00):
So the Chargers are leading by four and they're at
their own twenty four yard line going for it on
fourth and one. Wow, Wow, and they're gonna hand the
ball off and that's going nowhere. It stopped. They did
not get the first left them. They didn't Nickings get

(02:06:21):
them the first down.

Speaker 2 (02:06:22):
Vikings Football, trailing by four, seven left on the clock.

Speaker 1 (02:06:26):
Are you doing?

Speaker 2 (02:06:27):
After a disaster for the Vikings at the goal line
four consecutive plays stopped within the three yard line by
the Chargers defense, the Chargers return the favor, they fall
short of a fourth down conversion and their own twenty
four yard line Vikings Football.

Speaker 1 (02:06:44):
Okay again, what is Brandon happening? Is Bran Staley? Wow,
Brandon Staley and his analytics saying, you know what, fourth
and one from our own twenty four yard line, We're
gonna go for it. And they have now handled the
ball to the Vikings first and ten at the twenty
four yard line with a minute fifty to go in

(02:07:05):
the game.

Speaker 2 (02:07:06):
By the way, they're still letting Russ Cook in the
Dever game. It's not going well. Just a quick update there.
It is a third and twelve. Do the Saints still
have the football.

Speaker 1 (02:07:17):
In this game?

Speaker 11 (02:07:19):
Maybe they just missed a game winning field goal. So
the Packers are gonna win. The Packers They're gonna take
a knee here.

Speaker 1 (02:07:24):
So the Saints up seventeen out the a half and
the Packers come all the way back to win it.
All right, So let's get back to this Chargers Vikings game.
I am still I'm not shocked because we've seen it
before from Brandon Staley, but he did it again, going
for it fourth to one from his own twenty four
yard line, leading twenty eight twenty four. A straight handoff

(02:07:45):
up the middle gets absolutely stoned, goes nowhere, and the
Vikings now have the ball.

Speaker 2 (02:07:50):
Developing situation in New York. The Jets trail by five,
one second left on the clock. They just spike the football.
They face the second and ten. That doesn't matter. They
have one play left. Wilson is going to have an
opportunity and he's got if he has nothing else going
for him. Zach Wilson has a huge arm and he
can he can throw to the end zone from where
they're at. We'll see what they do here and be

(02:08:13):
a hail mary attempt.

Speaker 1 (02:08:14):
Meanwhile, the Colts and Ravens are in overtime, tied in nineteen.
So we'll update you there. So we'll get the hail
mary coming up here, Zack Wilson, and uh, there we go.
I mean, who knows, I mean, who knows? Look, we
these get converted. Who was it?

Speaker 2 (02:08:29):
It was the Denver Broncos through a hail mary last
week and it bounced off the hands of Courtland Sutton
into the hands of Brandon Williams last week.

Speaker 1 (02:08:37):
And that's, uh, that's a long throw there he goes. Here,
goes there, Zach Wilson. He launches it downfield and throws
it bounds. No, that's never watching the different games place.
I'm so excited, I know you are, but we have
to watch that game. That's that's the other game, all right.
So we got the Now we got the Vikings with
the ball first down at the Chargers twenty four yard line.

(02:08:59):
After that gift her Cousins is looking and he's got
an open receiver and it's dropped.

Speaker 2 (02:09:04):
Oh my gosh, in and out of the hands of
kJ Osborne. Otherwise that would have been six points. Here
we go right there.

Speaker 1 (02:09:09):
Here's the that's a big throw, big throw.

Speaker 10 (02:09:15):
That was so.

Speaker 1 (02:09:18):
That was so cleol.

Speaker 2 (02:09:20):
Okay, the New England Patriots win fifteen to ten. But
Zach Wilson heaves I mean unbelieable for sixty five yard pass.

Speaker 1 (02:09:30):
The Patriots guy knocks it down almost directly into the
Jets receiver's hands.

Speaker 2 (02:09:36):
Yeah, Tip Joel is a real thing on these heil
marys Randall Cobb almost scoops it off of the turf
for the score.

Speaker 1 (02:09:44):
That said, he knocked a ball in and oh Cob
had a shot mall to one and two on the season,
by the way, Patriots improved to The Vikings aren't doing
anything right now. It's third and eleven all of a
sudden at the twenty five yard line. So the Vikings
get a gift and they may hand it back. Kirk
Cousins can't suddenly get anything going third and eleven right now. Obviously,

(02:10:06):
this is four down territory for the Vikings. Trailing the
Chargers by a score of twenty eight to twenty four.
Kirk Cousins trying to avoid a sack throws the ball
toward the end.

Speaker 2 (02:10:16):
Zone and it is trub like flag, flag on the play,
flag on the play.

Speaker 1 (02:10:21):
Where did that come from? I don't know, but Addison
dropped the ball. I mean, what's going on here?

Speaker 2 (02:10:27):
It looks like it might be near the line of scrimmage.
Maybe Kirk Cousins got popped. After the play we got
I don't know. Jefferson's on the ground. He's he's being
looked at for an apparent lower body injury.

Speaker 1 (02:10:37):
All right, let's see what's happening right here. We got
illegal use of the hands against the Chargers. That's going
to be a first down for the Vikings. But we
don't know the situation with Jefferson right now. He's seated,
but he's on the ground. But a huge penalty against
the Chargers on third and eleven, really quick, look to
that face. There's an overtime period going on. Nineteen to

(02:11:01):
all Baltimore ball third and six, Lamar Jackson incomplete pass. Yeah,
so it looks like what do they trot?

Speaker 3 (02:11:09):
Just no?

Speaker 2 (02:11:10):
I mean they're right outside of his range. Do they
give it a shot? It's raining in Baltimore right now.
He's warming up on the sideline when k.

Speaker 1 (02:11:17):
Tucker is future Hall of Famers, so, I mean, you
know he's done it before as the longest field goal
in the history of the National Football League. Johnson looks
hurt here, all right. So Jefferson took a couple of
shots of the face. I didn't see where the injury happened.
Let's take a look here. We're taking a look. So
the Vikings are going to have a first down at
the Chargers twenty yard line. That was illegal hands to

(02:11:38):
the face against the Chargers and that looked like a
non like a need and knee situation. Yea happened there. Yeah,
it's tough to tell there. It looks like Jefferson's still
on the ground.

Speaker 2 (02:11:51):
It looks like a cramp, to be honest with you,
because you have one trainer tilting back his left foot
and it looks like he might be dealing with a
calf cramp right now, because that's usually what they do,
or some sort of hamstring thing. But definitely lower body
looks to be on the left side. We'll keep your
eyes on that. And what just no, they're showing replays

(02:12:13):
in this Colts game. The Baltimore Ravens just had to
punt it back to the Colts. They're tied at nineteen
in overtime, so the Colts take over offensively, Gardner, Minshew
and company on offense since Anthony Richardson couldn't start due
to injury from their own eleven yard line, and they
get stuffed.

Speaker 1 (02:12:30):
Seven minutes ago. Plenty of time in this overtime, but
both teams. Teams have struggled offensively today, all right, So
Jefferson is off the field right now. First and ten
for the Vikings at the Chargers twenty yard line. We
have fifty five seconds left in the fourth quarter, and
Cousins throws over the middle and it's almost intercepted, and

(02:12:52):
there's a big hit right there. Howkinson goes down. He
got hit, so it was a dangerous pass over the middle.
Big collision. By the way. The Dolphins, if you don't know,
actually have a chance to set an NFL record today
for most points scored in the game. They're leading the
Broncos seventy to twenty. There's still three and a half
minutes ago. I think they're trying not to score at

(02:13:13):
this point. Yeah, I except they have a first down
to Denver's twenty three yard line after a fifty two
yard play. We're a run for Brooks again. They're like
their fourth string running back just ran for fifty two yards.

Speaker 2 (02:13:26):
All right, another injured player in this Baltimore Ravens game
after a Pittman junior reception? Oh was that a reception?

Speaker 4 (02:13:35):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (02:13:35):
I got his helmet, got his lid knocked off. By
the way, you want to hear this, The Dolphins have
three hundred and seventy six yards passing three hundred and
fifty yards rushing. They have seven hundred and twenty six yards.
Is Sean Payton gonna be fired after the most embarrassing
loss in Denver Bronco's history? Do they leave them in
South Florida? I don't. I don't know. Seventy to twenty
and again, one more score for the Dolphins, even a

(02:13:56):
field goal, and they will set a record for most
points scored in an NFL game. Ever, the record seventy two.
They're the third team to score seventy points in a
regular season game. All right, here we go. Kirk Cousins
throws out in the flat, but that's not gonna do anything.
That's just gonna stop the clock. So they have a

(02:14:16):
third and ten right now, with forty seven seconds to go,
and the Vikings offense, which was motoring Jefferson, is trying
to get back on the field right now, and it
looks like he is back on the field and he
is needed desperately. This Dolphins game is ridiculous. Yeah, ridiculous.
Is the worst seven hundred and twenty six yards in offense?

(02:14:38):
Is that a record? Anybody have that? What's the record
for most total yards in an NFL game?

Speaker 2 (02:14:43):
Let me ask this question because I we obviously are
bouncing around looking at a lot of different strings.

Speaker 1 (02:14:48):
Right here we go on the Vikings and it's third
down for Kirk Cousins throws the ball, that's gonna be
short of the first down, So fourth down, they gotta
go for five yards. They gotta go for it, all right.
So what I was gonna say is, if you're Shall
Peyton and you're in a hurry to get rid of
Russell Wilson or to make a switch at quarterback, quarterbacks
not your problem when you give up seven No, I
get it.

Speaker 2 (02:15:08):
But they've been completely inept offensively. I mean at a
certain point, obviously, you can pull Russell Wilson at any
point and give him a seat on the bench. Next
to you. But he's kept him out there and he's
been flummixed by this Dolphins defense. It's looked awesol right.
Here we go fourth and five for the Vikings. The
game is on the line, forty two seconds to go.

(02:15:30):
Kirk Cousins needs a play. Throws over the middle.

Speaker 1 (02:15:32):
First down.

Speaker 2 (02:15:33):
That's a conversion, all right, So the running in, yeah,
he finds Howkinson for the first down.

Speaker 1 (02:15:38):
All right. Vikings have no timeouts. I believe they're out
of timeouts. So the clock is running twenty six, twenty
five to twenty four. They don't seem to be in
a hurry. First down twenty two to twenty one. He's
only going to get out play. They want to run
a play eighteen seventeen. What the heck are the Vikings doing.
They're at the seven yard line and they just had
ten seconds rattle off the the.

Speaker 12 (02:16:01):
Passes intercepted, intercepted in the end zone, and that's the
way this game ends.

Speaker 2 (02:16:08):
Chargers win twenty eight to twenty four. They'll kneel on
this football after the touchback. What was going to star
sequence of events to close this game?

Speaker 1 (02:16:18):
So they get the full down. Cousins is standing there
holding his hands on each side of the helmet trying
to hear what plays being called in the clock is running.
The ball was tipped twice, and that's that's an interception. Yeah,
that's that's interception. Game over. The Chargers, despite their baffling

(02:16:42):
fourth and one play from their own twenty four yard line,
looked like they're going to survive. And for the Vikings
eleven to zero one score games last year, this will
make zero to three this year.

Speaker 2 (02:16:54):
Yep, yeah, unbelievable. So the last year the stat was
the Vikings won eleven games of three points or less.
So far through three games, they've lost all their games
by four points or less. So a regression to the
mean for the Minnesota Vikings and all but zero percent
chance based on past probabilities to make the postseason for Minnesota.

(02:17:17):
LA improves to one to two on the year. And
Brandon Staley, excuse me, Brandon Staley, regardless of the fact
that he was trying with his might not to win
this football game, finds a way to snatch victory from
the Jaws to defeat I. Look, that is the Chargers
going for it on fourth and one, leading by four

(02:17:38):
points from their own twenty four yard line, with less
than two minutes less. Is it's almost a fireball offense
if they lose this football game, and it may be
a fireable offense even though they won it. All right,
that is absolutely insane.

Speaker 1 (02:17:51):
The Dolphins right now, if it stays, will set an
NFL record for most total yards in the game. I
looked it up. The wreckord was at in nineteen fifty one,
seven hundred and twenty two total yards for the Rams.
The Dolphins today against the Broncos not only have seventy points,
they have seven hundred and twenty six total yards in

(02:18:16):
the game. That would be an all time NFL record.
All right, we'll continue on. Don't go anywhere. We still
got overtime going on between the Colts and the Ravens.
Other games getting underway. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.
First and goal.

Speaker 14 (02:18:32):
From the six with twenty two seconds to go in
the game.

Speaker 1 (02:18:35):
Kill the clock, man, kill it. Yeah, we kill the clock.

Speaker 14 (02:18:38):
We're trying to get everything set up because it's trying.

Speaker 1 (02:18:40):
To get a play out there.

Speaker 14 (02:18:41):
We've burned about five or ten ext for seconds because
of the Kirk shotgune back to pass, grows to the
end zone, falls bouncing about, interceptive by.

Speaker 1 (02:18:48):
The Chargers in the Minnesota Vikings a row in parade.
Are you kidding? That's kay Fan one eder Boy three
FM Vikings Radio Network. Paul I always does that great
job when the Vikings ale of lowering the voice a
little bit, so the Chargers come away with the twenty
eight to twenty four victory. This is Fox Sports Red

(02:19:09):
Zone Radio. We are live from the tire IRAQ dot
com studios. All right, let's throw it right now to
Moncey Belgas. Moncey, what do you have for us? And
we have breaking.

Speaker 9 (02:19:20):
News news from Fox Sports. Oh, we have breaking news.

Speaker 8 (02:19:24):
No, this isn't that the Dolphins scored seventy This isn't
that the Vikings through an interception in the red zone.
Taylor Swift is in a suite at Arrowhead.

Speaker 1 (02:19:34):
So she took Kelsey up on help Kelsey's mom. So
he had said that who's going to make a seat
available for her at Arrowhead? Yes, and she.

Speaker 9 (02:19:45):
Shows she is there in a suite with his mother.

Speaker 2 (02:19:48):
Okay, Well, and on the first third down that the
Chiefs face in their opening drive, they throw it to
who Travis Kelcey for our first downs?

Speaker 9 (02:19:58):
Scrimpt that's the script.

Speaker 2 (02:19:59):
Listen, that was sort of normal for the cheese. That's
hard to Kelsey, Travis Kelsey Hall of fame. Tight end, Yes,
Riz King, that guy's got Riz.

Speaker 1 (02:20:09):
Do you know what that means?

Speaker 2 (02:20:10):
Steve Riz is proficiency in romantically pursuing young ladies and.

Speaker 1 (02:20:17):
He is the King. Hold On, hold On.

Speaker 2 (02:20:19):
Taylor Swift is a bit of a catch. I mean
maybe the best catch of his career.

Speaker 1 (02:20:24):
Now really it really whoahoa, whoa whoa, whoa whoaah Hold
on a second here, because Moncey is the Travis I mean,
excuse me, the Taylor Swift fan. So she basically has
made a career of writing songs about her failed relationships.
Is that correct? I mean, if you're Travis Kelcey, do
you want to just be added to the list of

(02:20:45):
other guys that have passed through with Taylor Swift? And
Ben had a song written about you?

Speaker 9 (02:20:50):
Who doesn't do that?

Speaker 8 (02:20:51):
Though?

Speaker 9 (02:20:52):
That's the hate that she gets.

Speaker 8 (02:20:53):
But in reality, all artists go back to their past
relationships and talk about it.

Speaker 9 (02:20:58):
It's true.

Speaker 1 (02:20:58):
Do you do you think that? I mean, how do
you explain so many of her failed relationships? Is it?
The guy is HER's?

Speaker 9 (02:21:06):
I mean, she's not married she's got no kids.

Speaker 1 (02:21:08):
Okay, it's a hard life.

Speaker 9 (02:21:09):
She lives a very very busy If.

Speaker 1 (02:21:11):
You're Travis Kelsey, do you want to get involved in that?

Speaker 9 (02:21:14):
I think it.

Speaker 8 (02:21:15):
Can work when both of you are so busy, because
you understand.

Speaker 1 (02:21:19):
You both that's not a relationship if you never have
any time to get here.

Speaker 8 (02:21:24):
But like you make you know you you realize that
during football season it's not the best time.

Speaker 1 (02:21:29):
Don't even humor this.

Speaker 2 (02:21:30):
I don't even I don't even understand why we're like
like this is this is an amazing story. It's a
budding romance. It really she has enough time to go
take in a game. I mean NFL games, they're not short.
She's gonna be there for at least three hours. And
then after the game, I'm pretty sure she's at very
least gonna think she lives at halftime?

Speaker 1 (02:21:48):
Is that about time?

Speaker 9 (02:21:50):
She can't She's all over the screens everywhere.

Speaker 1 (02:21:52):
No, this is this is a match love love alright.
So so if you're Travis kelcey, know that she she
shows up. Where do you take Taylor Swift for a date?
You bring her to a great steak dinner. It's Kansas
City or barbecue look.

Speaker 9 (02:22:11):
You cook for her. You can't. You can't go anywhere
in public.

Speaker 1 (02:22:15):
That's good point. That's the solid point. Solid point. Yeah,
you know what, that's a good idea. You know what
you do? You call Rich Arnberger with a flamethrower. Yeah,
and barbecue something special for us. This is uh, this
is my favorite thing that happened this NIFOL season. There's
been so many good moments already. But yeah, Kelsey the
riz King has effectively gotten Taylor Swift to come to Arrowhead.

(02:22:40):
We are at the nexus of the universe. And I
mentioned the fact the Colts did beat the Ravens in
overtime twenty two to nineteen. So the Colts went on
the road against a previously undefeated Ravens team, which means
it's that time to find out what is trending right now? Yes,
you want trending. It was not Taylor Swift. And here's monsie,

(02:23:01):
no fanfare. She doesn't need any lead.

Speaker 9 (02:23:02):
In no at all.

Speaker 8 (02:23:04):
No, definitely, Taylor Swift doesn't have a blank space anymore.

Speaker 9 (02:23:07):
It's Travis Kelce on that line space. We've got a
couple of games going on.

Speaker 8 (02:23:13):
Panthers have scored first against the Seahawks, with a field
goal less than five minutes to go in the first
The Bears and the Chiefs just got going again. Mister
Travis Kelce and Taylor so seemed to be an item.
She is at the game in a suite with his mother.
They are scoreless, very early in the first quarter. The
Cardinals have scored first against the Cowboys with the field
goal three zero, very early in the first The games

(02:23:34):
that have finished. The Dolphins played with their food and
when I say food, I mean the Broncos because the
final score was seventy to twenty te That is ridiculous.
To a togo Iloa ended with three hundred and nine
yards and four touchdowns.

Speaker 9 (02:23:47):
In the air where he moster did his own thing.

Speaker 8 (02:23:50):
He had thirteen carries eighty two yards three touchdowns to
go along with seven receptions one hundred and fifty seven
yards and a touchdown.

Speaker 9 (02:23:57):
Absolutely nuts, you just mentioned it.

Speaker 8 (02:23:59):
The Colts beat the Ravens in overtime that went all
the way to the end. Twenty two to nineteen was
the final score. The Browns had their way with the
Titans twenty seven to three. Deshaun Watson not too shabby
in this one. He threw for two hundred and eighty
nine yards and two touchdowns. The Lions had to win
over the Falcons twenty to six. Jared Goff threw for
two hundred and forty three yards, one touchdown and one interception.

Speaker 9 (02:24:21):
Aman Ross Saint Brown, who was.

Speaker 8 (02:24:22):
Questionable, ended with nine receptions.

Speaker 9 (02:24:24):
And one hundred and two yards.

Speaker 8 (02:24:26):
The Packers erased a seventeen point halftime deficit to beat
the Saints eighteen to seventeen. This one has to hurt,
but the Saints did lose Derek Carr in the third
quarter to a shoulder injury.

Speaker 9 (02:24:39):
The Chargers had a scare they didn't charge.

Speaker 8 (02:24:41):
The Vikings charged LA with a twenty eight to twenty
four victory. Very questionable decisions at the end for the
Vikings letting the time run like that, But Justin Herbert
ended with four hundred and five.

Speaker 9 (02:24:52):
Yards and three touchdowns.

Speaker 8 (02:24:54):
The Patriots held on to beat the Jets fifteen to ten.
Zach Wilson eighteen of thirty six for one hundred and
fifty seven yards. Mac Jones fifteen of twenty nine for
two hundred and one yards and one touchdown. The Bills
crushed the Commanders thirty seven to three.

Speaker 9 (02:25:08):
Sam Howell is going to need an ice bath.

Speaker 8 (02:25:11):
He was sacked nine times, nineteen of twenty nine, one
hundred and seventy yards, no touchdowns, four interceptions, and the
Texans defeated the Jaguars thirty seven to seventeen. Trevor Lawrence
threw for two hundred and seventy nine yards, a touchdown
and an interception, but the Jaguars could not pull it off.

Speaker 9 (02:25:29):
And I think those were all the games. Yep, that's
all the games for you.

Speaker 1 (02:25:32):
Back to you guys, thank you very much.

Speaker 9 (02:25:34):
Did you hear that Taylor Swift does out the game? Jeary?

Speaker 2 (02:25:37):
She is currently sitting in the street next trafficks Kelsey's mom,
and he's already having a great game.

Speaker 1 (02:25:42):
Honestly unreal watching the Bears, who are not a good team.
I would take this time too, every time the Bears
have the ball, I would just have the camera on
Taylor Swift. Why not?

Speaker 9 (02:25:53):
Why not?

Speaker 1 (02:25:53):
I want you so, By the way, Manzi has been
walking around asking everybody this question.

Speaker 9 (02:25:58):
I already posted it.

Speaker 1 (02:26:00):
Okay, So who is more world famous, world famous? Taylor
Swift or Lebron James.

Speaker 8 (02:26:06):
Well, most people did say Taylor, but it wasn't. It
was like sixty forty percent. Bo was the one that
said absolutely not. It's Lebron James. But you know, Chrisphfett,
both of you, you both said Taylor Swift.

Speaker 9 (02:26:20):
Most people said Taylor Swift.

Speaker 2 (02:26:22):
Yeah, yeah, I just have to say, you know, this game,
I get it between the Bears and Chiefs, they don't
often play each other, but you could tell there's some
bad blood, Yes.

Speaker 1 (02:26:32):
You could tell. And also to start Travis Kelsey that
knee jury, I'm just glad he could shake it off.
Just just throwned it out there. I just I mean, seriously,
you have Taylor Swift at a game. Do you think
people would rather see Taylor Swift and what she's doing
or watch the Bears.

Speaker 2 (02:26:53):
The crazy thing about Justin Fields is, you know, being
speculated that he was going to be traded all off season.

Speaker 1 (02:27:00):
It must have been a cruel summer. Wow.

Speaker 9 (02:27:04):
I'm just I mean, at least there's a lot of
red going on.

Speaker 1 (02:27:09):
By the way, are you are you on top of
all these records? What I'm looking at is anybody other
than me gonna recognize that the Dolphins set a record
for most total yards in an NFL game. No, I'm
looking at like all these different NFL websites and they
don't have nolue exact. They're gonna be. The Dolphins made
history today with seven hundred and twenty six total yards
in the game. They're gonna be.

Speaker 2 (02:27:30):
They're gonna be in the playoff conversation when they get
back to December.

Speaker 9 (02:27:34):
I just hope karma doesn't come back.

Speaker 1 (02:27:37):
Do you realize they scored thirty five points in each half.
I can't even concentrate, I know that. What are you
even saying? This was the quarter with the Dolphins go
fourteen twenty one, fourteen twenty one in the four quarters? Hey,
did you.

Speaker 2 (02:27:52):
Actually this is a real developing situation. Yeah, the Cowboys
are being shut out by the Cardinals right now. It's
three nothing lead in Arizona for the Cardinals and they
have a chance. Had a big punt return here, though
I think it's gonna be called back. There's a flag
on the play. I'm gonna guess it's an illegal crackback
block against Arizona Cardinals. But yeah, they have a three

(02:28:13):
nothing lead over the Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 1 (02:28:16):
Let me ask you this, if the Bears were to
upset the Chiefs today as twelve point dogs, would that
be a deal breaker for Kelsey and Taylor Swift if
they were to lose at Home to the Lowly Bears
with her in attendance.

Speaker 9 (02:28:29):
I don't think she'd mean you think that?

Speaker 1 (02:28:32):
How do you think cheese fans would react?

Speaker 9 (02:28:34):
You know, yeah, cheese fans would be med. No, I
don't think Taylor's desires well.

Speaker 1 (02:28:38):
My point is if they lose at Home to the
Bears and he still takes her out, you think the
Chiefs are upset at him.

Speaker 11 (02:28:46):
That'd be a terrible ending of that love story.

Speaker 1 (02:28:56):
Look what you made me do try the veal everyone.

Speaker 11 (02:29:03):
Not in my wildest dreams that I think that would
happen on this show. But here we are, guys.

Speaker 1 (02:29:07):
Wow, guys, we were scraping bottom. I mean, this is
this is this is the lowest form of entertainment. But
I am so thoroughly entertained. Andy Dalton's looking good. Yes, yes,
Andy Daltons. No, he's not, you know, And to be
honest with I'm gonna wear it out. Bryce Young is saying,

(02:29:28):
don't blame me. I mean it's not. By the way,
did you see the promotion for the Sunday night game
between the Steelers and the Raiders, they just ran highlights
of Ken Stabler versus Terry Bradshaw. Trying to remember when
it was a relevant rivalry back in the nineteen seventies.
I thought it was like an NFL film's highlight. I realized, No,
that's the promo for Sunday Night football with the Steelers

(02:29:52):
at the Raiders. Do you like two Monday night games?
We got it again with the Eagles, Bucks, Rams, Bengals.

Speaker 2 (02:29:56):
Like I like primetime to be soloed up. In fact,
I'm star I've opened my minded mind to this during
the pandemic. I would prefer if we had Monday and
Tuesday night football.

Speaker 1 (02:30:08):
I'm look at you know what I said when they
went to a seventeen game schedule. I was talking about
neutral psyche games. Right. With a seventeen game schedule, I mean,
some teams get nine home games and some get eight,
And I'm like, no, no, no, everyone has eight home games,
eight road games, and a neutral site game. And you
could play a different game every Tuesday, be like the

(02:30:30):
neutral site game of the week, and then you could
play the game's Happy Valley Great Stadiums College standa that
you could play these neutral games on I'm with you.
They didn't listen to me. No, oh, if they just
showed Taylor Swift again. She is decked out and again
she's sitting there with Kelsey's mom, who's thoroughly entertained by

(02:30:52):
Taylor Swift. Wow, all right, I don't know where we
go next, but we're gonna come back with more. Don't
go anywhere. We got Panthers, Seahawks, I to three, Bears,
Chiefs no score, Cardinals up three nothing over the Cowboys.
Is at an upset brewing up another big pass played
to Kelsey, and Taylor Swift is on her feet. She's excited.

(02:31:13):
This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. The Broncos just
went off the clock with a handoff that out at
the end of the football game. For the file was
four the momby Dolphins seventy and her Broncos.

Speaker 6 (02:31:25):
Impressive, man, absolutely for the most impressive things, Jimmy, you
and I have seen in nineteen years.

Speaker 1 (02:31:34):
Yes, that was Fox Sports nine forty Dolphins Radio Network.
You heard it right. Dolphins put up seventy, third time
an NFL regular season history that a team scored seventy
and they set an NFL record seven hundred and twenty
six yards in total offense. That's also our Progressive Play

(02:32:18):
with Bow producing, Chris on the board and Moncey keeping
an eye on everything and very happy that most Start
scored four touchdowns today.

Speaker 8 (02:32:28):
Yeah, but now Taylor Swift has surpassed the happiness that
Rahee Moster brought me.

Speaker 9 (02:32:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:32:33):
Derek McKinnon just scored for the Chiefs, so they take
a six to nothing lead. Well he did.

Speaker 2 (02:32:40):
He just threw a first down past to Kelsey over
the back of the end zone that goes incomplete, so
a shovel past. McKinnon, frankly is fearless.

Speaker 1 (02:32:49):
In terms of the play.

Speaker 2 (02:32:50):
Wow, it just so good, like bro I just I
don't know, look, I I'm all out of sorts and
it's uh.

Speaker 1 (02:33:00):
It's really it's really been a good day. Overall, what's
more bizarre what we're talking about are the fact that
the Cardinals have jumped all over the Cowboys early in
this game. Remember last week, the Cardinals were in a
position to win and then all of a sudden that
second half they had the complete meltdown in the second half. Yeah,
and that's why I kept thinking the owner walked in

(02:33:20):
and said, what are you guys doing. We're supposed to
get Caleb Williams. That's right, Caleb Williams. You understand Caleb Williams.

Speaker 2 (02:33:26):
Well, listen, I mean the way the Cowboys have been playing,
and obviously the way the Cardinals, uh, you know, their
effort has been so far this season. If there is
a comeback, that's that's something the Cardinals know all too well.

Speaker 1 (02:33:41):
Yeah. See, I have no reference because I can't name
a sing single Taylor Swift song.

Speaker 7 (02:33:49):
I would ever just know Bernie Frotto just stopped and
see you. We were all saying you you are. You
are lost on this one completely.

Speaker 1 (02:33:56):
I have no clue. I know that one song that
she had that was the real repetitive.

Speaker 9 (02:34:02):
Song, shake it Off, Shake Shake, shake it Off.

Speaker 11 (02:34:06):
No, it wasn't that one that was not good so
you need to calm down.

Speaker 9 (02:34:11):
I really do, guys, I really do.

Speaker 1 (02:34:16):
This is your super Bowl. I mean it really is.
This is this has been that, this has been the best.

Speaker 2 (02:34:22):
All right, So let me ask a serious question about
justin Fields after everything that's come out this week, and
this is even we're not even discussing the defensive coordinator
who resigned in the middle of the week. Alan Williams
is no longer with the team, so Matt Eberflus will
take over play calling responsibilities there. But Fields calls out
the coaching saying he hasn't been playing like himself, hasn't

(02:34:45):
been playing freely. Then Eberflus and company they all defend him,
saying he's not a guy to complain. He's the last
guy to point fingers. But that's what it sounded like.
Fields welcome the media over to him during practice to
clear things up. So it seems like all's well, that
ends well, at least for this week in Chicago. But
do you think there's there's major issues with Fields and

(02:35:07):
this offense? Yes, because I really, honestly, I sort of
feel like when you answer questions extemporaneously like that, right
off the cuff, somebody asks you a question and you
answer it and then you try to put the toothpaste
back in the tube. Clearly that's the way he feels.
And whether he's not typically the guy to point fingers,
he did in that situation. We all heard it. So

(02:35:28):
I don't know what you do. You have, well, a
quarterback who doesn't want to be coached by your coaches.

Speaker 1 (02:35:34):
So earlier Kevin Burkhark joined us, right yeah, and he said,
don't be surprised if Fields runs it ten times in
the first quarter. M hmm. Getting back to what we saw,
you know, it feels is a thousand yard rush and
everything else. So far today Fields has zero carries. So
I think the message is clear from the Bears brass,

(02:35:54):
you will run the offense we tell you to run.
We think think he can do it now. And so
this idea of you know, just you know, went around
and do a Lamar Jackson type of offense, which apparently
is what Justin Fields prefers. I got news or Justin Fields.
He's not Lamar Jackson. There's only one Lamar Jackson. But

(02:36:15):
that's not what they're gonna do. They want him to
throw the football, and right now he's one for two
fifteen yards and they're running the ball, but he's not
running the ball.

Speaker 2 (02:36:24):
Well, it's early, obviously, only ten minutes off the clock
in the first quarter. I could see them trying to
get him more comfortable in this offense. And to Kevin's point,
who joined us earlier in the show, he's on the
broadcast here for Fox. I look at it as a
way to get a dual threat quarterback in his comfort zone.
When things aren't going well for the Buffalo Bills, what

(02:36:45):
do they resort to? Ken Dorsey, the play caller, He
resorts to getting Josh Allen more involved in the run
game because it builds confidence. Justin Fields is one of
the most electric athletes in the NFL. We saw it
all last year. He had these huge explosive runs, whether
in the scramble drill or designed runs for the Bears.
And here he goes again. He takes off with the

(02:37:06):
football nets and that's a fifteen yard game. And this
is what I'm talking about.

Speaker 1 (02:37:10):
That wasn't by design, and that's a scramble. That's a scramble.

Speaker 2 (02:37:13):
But I'm saying design some of those plays from get
him feeling a little bit about himself, especially.

Speaker 1 (02:37:18):
On the road.

Speaker 2 (02:37:18):
At Arrowhead and maybe maybe there's something to what he said. Look,
there are two. It takes two to tango, and I'm
talking quarterback and franchise or coach or whoever you want
to put on the opposite side of that. It has
to gel, it has to mesh. Otherwise you're gonna lose
a lot of football games.

Speaker 1 (02:37:34):
You just are. One of the big shockers today was Houston,
Oh yeah, demolishing Jacksonville on the road thirty seven to
seventeen and c J. Stroud twenty to thirty, two hundred
and eighty yards, two touchdowns and no picks. He outplayed
Trevor Lawrence today in that Texans victory. And you remember,

(02:37:57):
remember right before the draft, all these but CJ. Stroud
was dropping memory. I mean, we always get that little
smoke screen going on right before the draft. He ends
up as a second overall pick. But when you look
at him physically as opposed to Bryce Young, who is
injured already and not in the game today for the Panthers.
By the way, they're three to three game right now

(02:38:17):
with the Seahawks. Andy Dalton under center for the Panthers.
I think there's going to be any buyers or Morse
for Carolina. There it's possible. Straud's impressive.

Speaker 5 (02:38:27):
Man.

Speaker 1 (02:38:27):
The problem is Ohio State quarterbacks, yes, do not have
a good track record.

Speaker 2 (02:38:31):
I know, I know that's a common refrain, and you
heard that about USC quarterbacks for years and years and years.
Look at Caleb Williams, it looks like he's going to
break that mode.

Speaker 1 (02:38:41):
We don't know. Well, yeah, I mean I played an
NFL game. Obviously not.

Speaker 2 (02:38:45):
But my point is this, you can't look at the
history of a college program and say, well, they just
don't produce quarterbacks. I don't buy it. I think I
think justin Fields obviously can play at this level. Right
he just he's just in a system that doesn't work
for him, or he's not talented enough to play. We'll

(02:39:05):
find out. But he's he's at very least from an
athletics standpoint, capable of playing this league.

Speaker 1 (02:39:12):
CJ.

Speaker 2 (02:39:13):
Stroud, it's too early to say. He's got three weeks
under his belt as a passer, he's shown some special things.
He's overachieving for a Texan team who's not destined for
a whole lot. We'll see where the story goes from here.
But look, if it goes well, it'll be a love story. Yeah,
Justin Field just got sacked.

Speaker 1 (02:39:30):
Tell you. Having Chris Jones on the field for the
Chiefs makes a world of difference for the Chiefs. Oh
my gosh. I mean he's incredible. He is absolutely incredible.
Your thoughts tonight, Steelers Raiders, Raiders three point favorites.

Speaker 2 (02:39:41):
Right now, I'm leaning Steelers, but yeah, because the Raiders
backs up against Wall, I'll take the Raiders.

Speaker 1 (02:39:49):
Keep it right here. More coming up on Fox Sports Radio.
