(00:23):
This is the best of the Ben Maller Show on
Fox Sports Radio. Man Freakin covid, Right, I've just listened
in to Eddie Garcia's update, and he's doing a fantastic job.
He's giving us all the facts on the news over here.

(00:44):
But you just go bullet point by bullet point by
bullet point, and it's just Big Ten playing a conference
only football schedule in twenty twenty, ACC expected to do
the same thing conference only football schedule, and we just
start going one by one by one by one. It's
just like, ah, man, you know, here's the deal. I

(01:06):
think a lot of sports fans are similar in this way.
I think that the summer months, like the spring and
summer months, what has helped a lot of us through
that time without many live sports going on whatsoever. Was
this hope that we were going to have a football season.

(01:27):
Football was eventually going to roll around. And now when
you're getting this news about the Big Ten conference only
football schedule, acc doing the same thing. You're hearing some
of these quotes from Kevin Warren. He is the Big
Ten commissioner saying we might not have a college football
season in the Big Ten. Like he said that on

(01:49):
the same day that the conference announced a conference only
football schedule, and he's saying, yeah, we might not have
a season at all in the Big Ten. Time will tell.
I think that when you start looking at the sports landscape,
I'm even more hopeful that the NBA bubble works out

(02:11):
because here's the deal. One we would have live sports
to watch, and that's absolutely welcomed. At this stage. I
think the bubble has a fighting chance to work out
because it isn't like, you know, it's not like players
are out and about and going to the grocery store
and you know, maybe they're around someone that has COVID.

(02:33):
They catch it. It spreads, you know how it works.
I think the bubble gives the NBA much more of
a fighting chance to complete its season. I'll tell you
what if the bubble doesn't work. Ain't nothing working until
there's a vaccine. That's what we're looking at here, and
I hate that that's the case, but that's what we're

(02:53):
looking at. The Bowling Green a d He said, the
decision by the Big ten is the tip of the iceberg,
and sadly, I think he's right on the money with that.
I think that sometimes we're just lying to ourselves because
we won a football season. Jim Harbaugh was doing that,
the Michigan head coach. He was saying, Oh, yeah, that's sports.

(03:15):
They they don't spread COVID nineteen. It's actually, Jim, like,
it could absolutely work like that, right, come on, we
understand how this virus works. There's a reason why you're
supposed to supposed to cover your face and socially distance
yourself from others because if you don't, you could pick

(03:38):
it up. So if you're a football player and someone
breathes on you and has it and then you go
to the grocery store, you're around some other co ed
or whatever, like, yeah, of course it could spread. I
think we're just lying to ourselves hoping that there will
be a football season. I heard from Rod on Twitter.
He put I hope your college football prediction is as
bad as you're barbecuing. I thought that was very well played.

(03:59):
That It's funny. I posted a picture I was burning
the holy hell out of some pork chops this evening.
They still tasted really good. Nope, I'm totally fine with
eating very charred, very well done, overcooked food, so it
still tasted good. Rob checked in another guy, not Rob Sloan,

(04:20):
but different Rob, heavy metal metal head Rob. Yep, he says,
you come out with doom and gloom? What's next? Are
you wanting to kick my dog too? I hate to
be that guy. I would love to sit here and
be like, listen, settle down, we're gonna have a football season.
The Big ten's overreacting, the ACC's overreacting. It's gonna be
Jess fine, they're gonna play the full slate. I don't

(04:42):
believe that at all. I just don't think if you
look at this objectively and use common sense, I just
don't see how there's going to be a college football
season in the fall. I'm Brian noe In for Big Ben,
coming to you live from the Geico Fox Sports Radio Studios.
Fifteen minutes could save you fifteen percent or more on

(05:02):
car insurance. Visit guyco dot com for a free rate quote. Okay,
So I saw a quote from Patrick Mahomes and I
wanted to dive into it here because he was a
guest on the Shop you know, Lebron show on HBO,
and he said, I didn't understand how to read defenses
until like halfway through twenty eighteen. I was just playing.

(05:26):
And so there are a lot of people that look
at that and say, wow, if Mahomes didn't know how
to read defenses that year, it was his first year
as a starting quarterback. He threw fifty touchdown passes nearly
fifty one hundred yards and he's just learning on the fly.
What is this guy capable of? Totally reasonable, Absolutely, I

(05:51):
see all the logic in a statement like that. Where
it swings. The other way is when that extension kicks in.
He was doing all of these special things on his
rookie deal. Now hear me out on this one, because
I think it can go too far where there's a
lot of talk out there where, hey, who are the

(06:12):
quarterbacks that have won a Super Bowl recently? Who are
making top five, top ten quarterback money? Where are these guys,
what does that list look like? Okay, there's some truth
to that, But when you start going through that and
you look at the details, I think that statement is

(06:32):
misleading because look at a few quarterbacks. Look at Drew Brees,
good example. Drew Brees was making major money. Look at
the Nolan no call like pass interference, clear as day.
Saints should have been in the Super Bowl. Would have
been in the super Bowl if the proper call is made.
Might I ended up beating the Patriots? Who knows. But

(06:54):
the point is the Saints with a high priced quarterback
should have been a super Bowl team all right. So
they weren't held back by how much they were paying
Drew Brees. Think about Matt Ryan another good example. Matt Ryan,
Falcons quarterback, was making major money when the Falcons were
in the Super Bowl twenty eight to three lead. If

(07:16):
Kyle Shanahan runs the ball late with an eight point lead,
they're winning a Super Bowl. Okay, so it wasn't Matt
Ryan's contract that prevented the Falcons from winning it all.
That's a coin flip game. The odds were overwhelmingly in
their favor when they were up twenty eight to three.
It's a coin flip game late that game went into overtime.

(07:36):
So I don't think we can make more than there
is to make out of these high priced quarterbacks. And
how much of a roadblock it is for teams to
win a Super Bowl. I think that's blown out of proportion.
So with that being said, I think it applies to
Patrick Mahomes where it's going to be challenging for them

(07:57):
to win super Bowls consistently, but it doesn't prevent them
from ever winning another Super Bowl. For anyone who says, oh,
these high priced quarterbacks they never win super Bowls, are
you betting against Patrick Mahomes every single year that he's
not gonna win a Super Bowl after this big extension
kicks in. No, that would make no sense. But it's
somewhere in the middle. Okay, we talking extremes a lot

(08:22):
when we're discussing sports these days. It isn't oh my gosh,
these high priced quarterbacks, none of them win super Bowls.
You can't win one with one of those guys. No,
that's not true. And the other side of this doesn't
make sense either, which is, ah, no big deal, you
got Mahomes, You're good. No, it's somewhere in between where
if you look at Mahomes and what he's done, it's

(08:44):
been unbelievable. He's been a stud. He's the only quarterback
in NFL history to win a League MVP and a
Super Bowl before turning twenty five years old, youngest QB
to be named Super Bowl MVP. His credentials speak for themselves.
But all of that was being done on a rookie deal.

(09:05):
And when this major money kicks in, you're looking at
the cap hit in twenty twenty seven, it's fifty nine
point five million dollars. It'll never dip below forty million
after twenty twenty five. That's a lot of cash. And
that's much different than what we've seen from the Chiefs

(09:27):
thus far. So there's nothing wrong with asking is Patrick
Mahomes still gonna be putting up these monstrous numbers if
he isn't surrounded by talent as good? Are the Chiefs
going to be challenging and winning super Bowls if they
don't have a similar supporting cast around Patrick Mahomes. Those

(09:50):
are all legitimate questions, and that isn't anything that's overly
critical or coming from a place of negative That's all legit,
and I would say this also, I think that Mahomes
he's got a great chance to have a brilliant career.
I think he would. I would bet heavily that he does.

(10:11):
He's just a study, he's a difference maker. And I
still think that he can be productive. Even if he
doesn't have a collection of Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelsey
and all these guys. Someone's got to go. You can't
pay everybody. Even if he doesn't have the same type
of talent, I still think he can elevate the players
around him and still be very successful. But the thing

(10:32):
where I hear all of this about, hey, he could
he could be better than Brady. He could be the
goat he has, as brilliant as he is, as big
of a stud as he is, he has no chance
to have a better career than Tom Brady. None. And
I know it's dangerous to speak in absolutes, but it's true.
When this deal kicks in, there are two more cheap

(10:53):
years relatively speaking, for Patrick Mahomes, especially in twenty twenty
he's making less than three million, So the next two
years combined, talking about twenty seven million, that's cheap. When
this kicks in after the twenty twenty one season, and
you'll see the impact on the roster. There's no way
he's going to have more success than Tom Brady. Tom

(11:16):
Brady was taking discounts consistently. That makes an impact. And
for the Chiefs when the talent around the QB starts
to go south a little bit, when we're talking about
Mahomes winning five more Super Bowls to just equal Tom Brady,
that is not happening. Sorry. And I look at this

(11:39):
also where you can say, well, Brian, how do you
know that? Just look at the last season that the
Chiefs had. They're the only team in NFL history to
be trailing by at least ten points in every playoff
game they had. Now, there are two ways to look
at this. One. You could look and say, well, Brian,
that just shows how tough they are to beat. You

(12:00):
come back from a double digit deficit three straight games.
That just shows how bright the future is, okay. Or
you could look at it this way and say, yeah,
although it shows how tough they are to beat, how
resilient they are, all of those things, that's not a
great long term formula. And that was when Mahomes was

(12:22):
on his rookie deal. What happens when the talent around
him isn't as good. Do you really think that the
Chiefs are still that great where they're winning at least
five more Super Bowls with Patrick Mahomes, I don't see
it at all at all. Like being down twenty four

(12:43):
to nothing against the Texans, Yeah, on one hand, it's
very impressive they came back from that. On the other hand,
it shows just how far away they were from being bulletproof.
And when that deal kicks in, I just I don't
see them being this juggerna going forward. And one other
stat here, just for context. This is gonna sound like

(13:06):
it's you know, I'm splitting hairs here, but just try
it on for size. I know how brilliant Mahomes is.
I know how great of a stud he is. He's
the number one quarterback. He's the best player in football,
there's no doubt about that. But this idea that he's
like Moses parting the Red Sea, and there's no mistake

(13:28):
that Patrick Mahomes has even thought about making that's what
it's turning into. He's turning into this Paul Bunyan like character.
He's not that guy. Not to that extent. If you
look at him in the Super Bowl, his passer rating
in that game, even with the comeback and he was
great when it counted late, was seventy eight point six.

(13:48):
Just for context, Baker Mayfield's passer rating last year was
seventy eight point eight. That's right. Baker Mayfield last year
for the Brown as suspect as he was twenty two
touchdowns twenty one picks, did not play well, received a
lot of criticism, and deservedly so. Baker mayfield season last

(14:10):
year in terms of passer rating, it was higher than
Mahomes in the super Bowl against the forty nine ers.
And although that seems incredibly nitpicky, and the guy made
the plays late when he had to make them, brought
the Chiefs back they want a super Bowl. History will
reflect greatly on Patrick Mahomes. I'm not selling him short

(14:31):
with what he accomplished, But when you look at that
and you're trying to project the future, when you look
at that game, the contract kicking in his numbers, having
being impacted by the talent around him, that doesn't equal
five super Bowls going forward at all. So I think

(14:52):
this guy is a stud. I still think he's gonna
have a brilliant career, yet he has no chance to
have more success than Tom Brady. Be sure catch live
editions of The Ben Maller Show weekdays at two am
Eastern eleven pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the
iHeartRadio app. Every now and then, I think about just
mimicking what Ben says at the top of each hour,

(15:14):
you know, or at least at the beginning of the
show where he talks about you know, we're live from
the Geico Fox Sports Radio Studios emanating. But I'm like,
I don't want to rip off his material, you know,
I think about these things. Militia. Try to make you
guys comfortable over here. Okay, So I'm gonna get to
the phones here momentarily, give me a few minutes. Brown

(15:34):
and Damon want to check in on a variety of
topics here. I've been talking about my homes, JJ Reddick,
plethora of things. I want to lay out the stupidity
power rankings here before I get to the calls. So
just hang with me for a few minutes and I'll
get back to them. So I was thinking about this stupidity.
There's a lot of stupidity in the sports world right now.

(15:56):
I mean a lot and the funny thing about stupidity,
at least for me, and I think a lot of
people are along the same lines. They can relate to
this stupidity either is hilarious to me. Either I find
it really funny or it's maddening. And it seems to

(16:17):
be one extreme or the other. If I see something
on Jeopardy, maybe there's a clip that's on social media
and someone is just so painfully wrong about something, especially
when it's something that you know, I always laugh. I'm like,
I don't get upset about that. It isn't maddening to me.

(16:38):
If Alex Trebek is like, I don't know the leading
scorer in NBA history known for the skyhook, and someone
buzzes in and they're like, who is Babe Ruth? I
find it hilarious. There are other things that go the
opposite way and it's maddening. It's a weird thing with stupidity.

(17:01):
But with my list here, it's a mixture of what
I just explained. There are some things that I find
to be hilarious and some things I find to be maddening.
But all of these things have one thing in common.
They're stupid and so I have these stupidity Power rankings.
So at number five, checking in strongly, JJ Reddick, I'm

(17:25):
not gonna go knee deep into this because I just
talked about it. JJ Reddick was a guest with Taylor Rooks.
He said, you know the reaction that was so negative
when Lebron went to Miami, when k D chose the
Warriors in free agency, I think it's tied to race.
And it's like, no, Jj, it isn't. It's not Otherwise

(17:47):
we would ben ticked off with Lebron as a free
agent going back to Cleveland or KD going to Brooklyn.
It's not about black men making decisions for themselves. People
are ticked off to They created super teams. That's all
it really boiled down to. It's not about race. It
was about super teams. Stephen A. Smith was outspoken about

(18:08):
k D joining the Warriors. I don't think he's a racist.
So that is coming in strongly at number five in
the stupidity Power rankings. At number four we have the NFL.
The NFL checks in with a strong showing at number four.
They are banning jersey swaps. That's right, no jersey swaps

(18:28):
in twenty twenty can't do it because of COVID concerns,
and so they've just been getting roasted on Twitter and
social media. There are players that are like, like Darius
Slay is saying, so we can tackle each other for
sixty minutes, but can't exchange jerseys. That takes two minutes.

(18:50):
It doesn't make any sense. The Shawn Watson Texans quarterback says,
that's damn silly, bro, and he used caps for damn silly.
It really brought it home. And the foreheads forehead slap
emoji that that's top shelf right there. So they've been
getting crushed and rightfully so it's a silly move. It
makes no sense to say, you know what, got a

(19:13):
socially distance after the game, no jersey swaps, but go ahead,
sweat on each other, breathe on each other, tackle each
other for the whole game. But you know, we gotta
draw the line in the postgame festivities over here. The NFLPA,
by the way, this is also stupid. They were okay
with the jersey swaps just as long as the players

(19:34):
were six feet apart from each other, which that's just
a goofy looking picture right there. So I'm gonna put
the NFL the NFLPA together number four in the Stupidity
Power Rankings banning jersey swaps in twenty twenty. Now, I
will say, it's really easy to criticize some of these moves,
the safety precautions, but I would ask everybody, what are

(19:58):
your measures? Are things let's just stick with football. What
are some things that the NFL should be putting in
place that will keep players safer and less likely to
contract COVID? What is it? If you start trying to
come up with solutions yourself, you'll find out that there
aren't that many. There aren't but still still a stupid suggestion,

(20:20):
stupid rule by the NFL banning jersey swaps. Number four
on the Stupidity Power Rankings. Okay, number three, we get
to Jim Harbaugh. Jim Harbaugh is just lying to himself
at this stage. Listen to what he says in terms
of sports and the impact that the sports world has

(20:42):
on the spread of COVID. Here you go, COVID is
part of our society. Wasn't caused by football, are caused
by by sports. There's no expert view right now that
I I'm aware of, or that are you know, agreeing
expert views that you know, which you know he's going
to make that worse. It's part of our society. We're

(21:03):
gonna have to have to deal with it. Okay, I'll
give him the one where it didn't originate with sports. Okay, fine,
But to say, I haven't heard any experts say that
sports are gonna help spread this virus. So you know,
shrug your shoulders and let's move on. Let's tee it
up over here, Like, come on, man, let's just look

(21:25):
at what's happened in the sports world. Look at all
of these players that have caught COVID. Look at Donovan
Mitchell with the Utah Jazz. Remember when Rudy Gobert was
touching all the microphones, And it's very possible that Donovan Mitchell,
although we don't know for sure, I've got a sneaking
suspicion that being teammates of Rudy Gobert might have had

(21:46):
something to do with him testing positive for COVID also,
and years ago, team by a team, look at what
thirty seven players over there at Clemson and the list
just goes on and on and on. Don't you think
that has something to do with players being around each other,
of course it does. What about those players going to

(22:07):
the grocery store or going anywhere else and being around people,
and it may be spreading that way, So spare me
on this. There's no experts that are talking about the
spread of the virus here because of the sports world.
That's that's just stupid. So he checks in number three
very strongly, Jim Harbaugh on the stupidity power rankings. And

(22:29):
now we get to the heavy hitters over here, we
get to the big guns, the stupidity power rankings. I'm
gonna put Stephen Jackson number two. He initially said that
DeShawn Jackson was speaking the truth when he put out
a fake quote of Hitler. So Stephen Jackson, former NBA players, said,
right on, he's right speaking the truth over here. And

(22:50):
then he also he doubled downs a little bit more
from Stephen Jackson very recently, again not backing off of
his stance of DeShawn Jackson being initially right. Here's Steve.
You know where the roth Childs are. They controlled all
the banks, they own all the banks. They don't know
all the banks. They had a lot of banks. But
the Rothchilds aren't the Rothchilds aren't reflective of the entire

(23:11):
Jewish community. I'm not run no, no no, no, no, no no,
I'm not saying that. But that's correlated to money though. Okay,
all right, so they own all the banks again, that's wrong,
that's not true at all. But Stephen Jackson was on CNN.
He said that he could have worded things a little
bit better, which is a very weak apology. He needed

(23:34):
to be accurate, so I would go number two. Now,
make no mistake, I'm not saying JJ Reddick is stupid,
or Jim Harbaugh is stupid, or just or Stephen Jackson
is stupid, not in totality. But smart people can say
stupid things. And I think all three of those have
said stupid things. Now we get to the number one
guy on the top of the list the stupidity power rankings,

(23:55):
DeShawn Jackson. The initial post on Instagram, fake Hitler quote
about white Jews blackmailing America, extorting America and their plan
for world domination and uh and then it's a clunky
apology over here. This is the worst way to apologize

(24:17):
is there's a brief portion here from de Shawn Jackson.
This was his apology on Instagram. I definitely didn't mean
it to the right. Okay, So this is the worst
way to apologize. If someone takes offense to something you say,
and let's say it's really out of line. Let's say
you say to your your girlfriend, your wife, like, man,

(24:39):
you look really overweight today, Like if that was your statement,
and she gets upset and she's like, that makes me
feel horrible. If you're like, you know, I hate that
you took it that way, but I really didn't mean
anything by it. That's not an apology. It's a horrible
way to apologize, especially if you are completely in the wrong.

(25:02):
So I have DeShawn Jackson at the top of the
list and also his apology to Eagles management a portion
of it. My intention was to uplift, unite, and encourage
our culture with positivity and light. I unintentionally hurt the
Jewish community in the process, and for that I am sorry.

(25:22):
This idea of uplifting, uniting, and encouraging by posting fake
Hitler quotes about white Jews extorting America and their plan
for world domination. Okay, I got you. I got de
Sean at the top of the power rankings right now,
just like college football ranking subject to change. We go
week by week. Maybe there's a big upset in the

(25:44):
Big ten, right thanks can change, but that's the list
as of right now. There you go. Okay, we got
time to sneak in a call as promised. Let me
go to Damon while we're talking about this subject. JJ
Reddick was one of the guys on the Stupidity Power
Rankings checking in at five. Damon's over there in New York.
What's going on, Damon? How are you doing this evening?

(26:05):
I'm doing fine, retired fifty five and just enjoying life.
To be honest with your accept for the fact that
he can't do much. But let me say this, Um,
you know you you're calling JJ Reddick stupid or make well,
actually you're saying that he made a stupid statement. I
think the person who made a stupid statement is actually you,
and I hate I'm not trying to be disrespectful. This
is your show, but um, you know, you know you

(26:27):
got to call a spade of spade. First of all,
just because Stephen A. Smith says something as an African
American and I'm black, so you're not. Um. The fact
that the fact that Stephen A. Smith said something. Stephen A.
Smith has been taken on the carpet many a time
by the black community because he's a black guy who
works for ESPN, who who is usually when he's debating

(26:51):
with what's his name, um for Max Kellerman always takes
a side that is going to be you know, inflammatory
to the black side, and and they actually the person
who argues for the black would be Max Tellerman. And
in fact, so much so that there's dominian instances on
his show that the black community has called him a
uncle Tom, which is the worst thing that you know,

(27:12):
black don't want to be called. And and even to
take that even further. Okay, so just because a black
man says it, he's saying that because ESPN's paying I'm
ten million dollars, which is probably the highest paid sports
personality I guess in broadcasting right now, sports broadcasting at least. Okay,
but let me ask you, do you do you think
that do you think that Stephen A. Smith is a racist?

(27:34):
It's not no, no, he's not a racist per se,
because first of all, people in the black community, they
don't think that black people are racist. They think that
black people are prejudiced. They think that racism comes from
systematic control, so before that, that's the difference, number one,
no problem. But they think that, right, right, Yeah, I'm not.

(27:55):
I'm yeah. I'm not trying to speak over you, damon,
But let me just ask you. The reason I brought
up Steve even A. Okay, we could get into, you know,
nineteen different conversations, but when JJ Reddick says the reaction
to KD going to the Warriors and how negative it was,
he's saying it was because of racism, And I just

(28:16):
pointed to stephen A because he was very outspoken about
KD going to the Warriors, and I'm like, stephen A.
Smith is not a racist. He wasn't outspoken because KD
is black and going to the Warriors. It's because of
what he said. He thought it was a weak move,
So the idea of it being racist just doesn't make
any sense to me. That's the only reason I brought

(28:36):
up stephen A. But the other examples were we didn't
have a problem with KD going to Brooklyn. He's still
the same black player that made a decision based on
free agency. So I don't understand why him going to
the Warriors, oh racist reaction? Him going to the Brooklyn
Nets or nothing to do with race. That doesn't make
any sense to me. Damon, what do you think about that?

(28:58):
A lot of people in sports, a lot of people
in general, think that it was a slaughter team. So
so therefore you're you're you're palling on, so to speak.
And and once again, it does stem from the fact
that what what JJ Reddick was saying in that interview
is that when you when black people decide to take
their their their fate into their own hand, society has
not typically been ready for that. And that's where you

(29:20):
get all because even most of the time when you
look at athletes and things that they do, when predominant
athletes that are black do things, it's a big deal.
Like I'll give you a great example. Um, like, now
here in New York this what's the guy's name, who's
uh Cohen, who basically now is gonna own the Mets,
and everybody's all, all the Met fans in the universe

(29:41):
are so happy that, Okay, this man that's so rich,
you know, one of the richest men in the country
is going to own the Mets. So therefore, the fact
that this man have played one billion dollars to stay
his butt out of jail, out of singing. Character is
always an issue when it comes to these players. It's
it's it's come. It's an issue right now with the
kid from the Pelicans, Uh guyon and his father took

(30:04):
some money. This is something that always comes up as
far as black athletes concerned. But yet a white man
does something, um really just just just just uh, I
don't know what's the word for. It is not reckless,
it's just it's a reason way out, a reason mentality.
But yet now everybody's all behind him, you know, because

(30:25):
because because the met thieves are gonna have a little
money and flexibility. So so now of a sudden that
doesn't matter even if you now and then on your
station you got Rob Parker, who's black, and you got
the other guy, uh Bussarden's black? Who who who the
mindset that somehow a championship is not as important? And
he's a black men black men. Okay, So I don't

(30:46):
want to ever hear you say oh because a black
person says something. I'm fifty five years old. I've watched
the medium my entire life. I did my job thirty
something years and now I get to stay home and
make a six ft your income for the rest of
my life. So I know a little bit about the world, okay,
But my point is about those two black men. They
think that because Kevin Garnett and they had a big

(31:10):
four in Boston, so because the general manager put it together,
the championship is more important than because Lebron or Kay
put together. Odiculate. But here's the thing. Here's the thing, Damon,
when we go back to when it's k D and
Lebron those free agency moves, that's about creating super teams.

(31:31):
That's what the reaction was. It comes back to that's
the way a lot of people looked at it. Hey,
Magic didn't leave his team, Larry Bird didn't leave his team,
Michael Jordan didn't leave his team. So when Lebron went
and joined a super team, that's what people had a
problem with. It wasn't because he was black and made
a decision on his own and these views were born
in racism. That's not why he was called out like that.

(31:54):
That's all it is. Now to your point, there are ways,
there are many examples of races, all right, but this
is not one of them. That's all I'm saying. The
reaction and it was very loud and very negative of
KD going to the Warriors. It wasn't because of racism,
Like that's just not the reality here. It's just they

(32:15):
thought it was a week move him creating a super
team and joining a seventy three win team. It's as
simple as that. That's all it was. But I appreciate
you calling in, man, we gotta run. We had a
good discussion there. We went for a little bit, but
you know, I want you to be able to speak
your mind. All right, we'll get back to the phones here.
Some other people want to check in, feel free to
do so. Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox is

(32:35):
the phone number eight seven seven nine nine six six
three six nine. You can always hit me on Twitter.
Also at the No Show n OE shows where you
can reach me. So you know, if you have something
to get off your chest, you want to speak your piece,
you can always reach me there and we can have
a discussion, no problem about that. Be sure to catch
live editions of The Ben Maller Show weekdays at two

(32:55):
am Eastern eleven pm Pacific. I'm probably no in for
Big Ben. Okay, let's get out to the phones here.
I love hearing from the militia. It's been an eclectic
ride here tonight, which is good. I mean that in
a complimentary way. We've got Steve in Manhattan. Let's go
to the Big Apple over here. What's going on, Steve?
How are you doing this evening? Stevie? Stevie? You're there? Yeah? Hey, Brian, Yeah, listen, guy,

(33:25):
I mean you you take calls pretty good. But I'm
hole for like an hour and a half. I can't
get everybody on at once. Steve. I'm sorry, man, man,
you can. You could do a little better than that.
First of all, it was it was me, Steve. I
didn't put your name up after you were like for
the first thirty minute, you're on hold, because well I

(33:45):
wanted to. I wanted to get some good calls in first.
Then we could go to Steve and man, Steve, Steve,
are you gonna take that from Coop? Dude? I have hosted.
Hang up on me when I clear my throat, come on.
The only reason why I'm on talk radio in New
York City is because of the audience they demand I

(34:06):
get on. I've been banned from every show. There's guys
that haven't been they haven't been born yet I'll be
banned from their show. But anyway, first of all, I
like to ask doctor Fauci if they're gonna have outdoor
dining on the New England throwaway. I mean, do you
see where they put the tables. I mean, there's not
much room in Manhattan and stuff. You're basically sitting in
the center lane and you know, you can miss desert
if the truck or you know, bus makes the wrong turn.

(34:28):
But first of all, Reddick to me is the coward
of the county. Forget about that guy. He's listen. You're
gonna see a lot of reddicks out there, you know.
But the bottom line, now, what's going on is people
are I think basically you might meet people who are
in intellectually smart, intelligent, you even have intellectual geniuses out there,
but on an emotional level, they can't deal with what's

(34:51):
going on today outside in the street, at the workforce,
in their own relationships, and that is a big problem
it's happening in the country today. Do I have any
follow up questions or anything? Yes, Actually, Steve, what is
what's the worst thing you've done to get banned on
the New York airwaves? You want me to say flat

(35:12):
at first of all, I've been neglecting this audience. I'm sorry, folks,
I've been tied up with all the nonsense I support.
As you ready for this, I supported Patriot JB. Buchanan
for president when I was a young guy. I gave
up a lot of my time. At one time, I
figured it out how much income I gave up by
doing that, and we turned out to be right. Now,

(35:33):
people say, well, why don't people out there ever say, oh,
pat was right? And I explained to him, because I'll
put it this very mildly, low lives never admit that
they're wrong. It's really simple. Hey, man, I hear you
on that, Steve. Okay, So here's the deal, Like, are
is there any animosity toward Coop? Who didn't even put

(35:55):
you on the you know, the instant messenger over here.
I didn't even know you're on whole old and Coop?
Did you hear his reason? I wanted to get some
good calls? Right? How is he going to do that
to you, Steve? He made it sound like he doesn't
think you're in the good call realm. You know what
I mean? Listen, First of all, Coop's a good dude.
I listen, folks set him with the air. They got

(36:17):
to him. I don't know who got to him. And
he's doing it. That's why he's doing it. It's easy
if you don't put my name up on the screen, right,
you know, just random should just getting betting? Yet, instead
of taking calls, why don't you just call people? Hey,
we could do that. You know who would Who would
do you think I should call? If we're doing that here?
Chris R Steve? Sorry about that? Well? Do you think

(36:39):
I should reach out to? What do you think get
my sister on the air? What do you think family members? Friends?
What do you think do you think you get the
grand Range on the air this late at night? I
know he tweets and stuff. I don't know, man, it
might be a rough poll, you know, it might be
a rough I'll see what I can do, though, Steve.
I appreciate you checking in, man. It's good catching up
with you. There he is, Steve. See that. There's a

(37:00):
number of callers that I dislike and and it's not
Steve's not one of them. I don't dislike him. I
just think his calls are terrible. Same with Chris and Houston.
That's funny because he's coming up here? Why you say that? Uh?
Coop Chris here? Now what would be you know, the
power rankings. Let's go top three of the Mallard militia

(37:23):
where they call and you're like, oh my gosh, you
look at the ceiling, like, uh, I gotta talk to
this person. Who are we looking at here? Talk? I
love real talk. I look forward to real talk. Call
the worst the worst calls, um man, I mean I

(37:45):
already named two of them. Uh huh so out of
my top three, Uh, Chris, probably even above Stephen Manhattan. Wow, okay,
so I like I like Chris. I like Chris. I
talked to him off the area. He's a cool guy.
It's called suck. Oh man. Wow, I agree with those

(38:07):
two as well. Um the third one talk and if no,
it's not real talk. And if I I hope that
this person is not listening or else I'm gonna have
to deal with so much drama. Oh man. Rachel and Montabella,
Oh really, I hope she has her listening years on

(38:32):
right now. I absolutely do. And then it's another situation
where look, Rachel, she's she's a nice she's a nice woman,
super nice. But uh, I mean, she just what's the
term that we came up what's the term, but what's
the term that we came up with today? But wash yeah,
but wash yeah. She she's probably gotten framed photographs of

(38:55):
ben up in her her house. Just like a shiver
go through my body.
