indian Our Pennsylvania. Play a gambling problem, Call one gambler.

news sound. We've got some opinion for you. Okay, we're
gonna go around the room. We'll take some of your

(00:47):
tweets as well. At Gottlieb Show. Maybe hit me up
on I G at Gottlieb Show, Doug Gotlip Show fan page.
I'll give you my opinion. So this is the topic
that everybody's talking about. Okay, look, full disclosure. You have
to start with where do you where do you come
in on this discussion. Okay, So where you come in
on this discussion oftentimes shades how you view kind of

(01:09):
the argument. All right. I mean like, look, if you're
if you're if you hate Nick Saban, you're clearly not
gonna take Nick Saban side this right, Um, I look
at this deal, and I say, quite frankly, okay, I
respect Saban. I know Alabama has always done kind of

(01:31):
their own thing in regards the n c A rules.
I don't believe they've outright just given I don't believe
the outright just given dudes bags of money up front.
But there's definitely been some maybe instant, institutional the naggling
of the rules, and guys have always gotten taken care of.
That's that's the expression in the businesses taken care of,

(01:52):
you know, whether that's whether that's how you live, where
you live, a little money in your pocket or whatever.
There's ways in which that has always taken place. And
and Saban, the the the brilliance to Saban is he's
able to manage all of this stuff. Right. The reason
I think that Alabama will be just fine is that

(02:15):
they're gonna whatever you can do. And now you can
do a lot more within the rules they're gonna do
and because they've won so much and so many guys
have gone to the NFL, and he is viewed as
a football god. Uh that that they're they're always they're
gonna be able, They're gonna be able to continue kind

(02:38):
of gaming the system for it to work for them.
So you have to start with the are you pro
anti n I L? Because the truth is that whatever
your view of name, image and likenesses, that's not how
it's being used. And if anybody wants to dispute that,
for me, that's fine. But inducing somebody to switch schools

(03:02):
because we're gonna give you n I L money when
you've never played at that level or you haven't played
at that school, or especially if you haven't played collegiate sports, like,
that's just silliness. It just is that's not name image
and likeness. That's buying place, that's inducing guys with money
to go to your school. So, look, I I have

(03:24):
I have a I have a less issue with the
traditional name image and likeness. Brice Young plays grade at Alabama,
comes back for you know, comes back for another year.
Because to get to the NFL, you've got to spend
three years post grad h post high school graduation. So look,
do I think the money is absorbitant? Sure? Do I

(03:45):
think all these guys are getting however much money we're
being told? I do not, But that that's the place
where I think people think is, oh is a spot
we want to land at. What has happened and transformed
and recruiting is it's just become buying players. You know,

(04:07):
it's not about what the best fit is, who the
best coach are. Do I like the school, do I
like the system? Like the style? Is? How much can
I get? And then what happens is inevitably when those
other things become important the kids leave, the bidding process
goes again. But also it's not about the school, about
the fit, about the coaches. It's simply about can I

(04:28):
get the check? Which might be okay to you, I
don't think that's what it's all about. And it creates
a weird culture and atmosphere where we're I mean, look,
we're professionalizing collegiate sports without the tax shelter previous, and
what you're running the risk of is running up that

(04:50):
running up that bill because because the potential tax burdens
which which could could come behind it. Here's what Nick
Saban had to say, going back to yesterday about Texas
A and M. We were second in recruiting last year
and then was first and then bought every player on
their team, made a deal for an ame image and like,
all right, we didn't buy one player, all right, but

(05:10):
I don't know if we're gonna be able to sustain
that in the future because more and more people are
doing it. Um that's what he said. That's what he said.
So you want to hear scorched Earth. Here's Jimbo Fisher's response.
First of all, say, it's a shame that we have
to do this. It's really despicable. It's despicable that somebody

(05:31):
can say things about somebody and in organ more importantly,
seventeen year old kids. You're taking shots at seventeen year
old kids and their families. They broke state laws that
they're they're they're all money there. We bought every player
on this group. We never bought anybody. No rules were broken,
nothing was done wrong. It was all in the and
the way we do things, the ethics in which we
do things, and these families. It's despicable that a reparable

(05:54):
head coach could come out and say this, when he
doesn't get his way or things don't go his way,
the narcissist in him doesn't allow those things to happen.
It's ridiculous. But when when he's not on top, and
the parody in college football he's been talking about, go
talk to coaches who coached for him. You'll find out
all the parody. Go dig into wherever he's been. You
can find out anything. And it's a shame that you're

(06:15):
gonna sit here and defend seventeen year old kids and
families and Texas A and M. Because we do things right.
We're always going to do things right, but we're not.
We're always gonna be here. Some people think they're God.
Go dig into how God did his his deal. You
may find out about about a guy that a lot
of things you don't want to know. We built him
up to be the Tsar of football. Go dig into
his past or anybody's ever coached with him. You can

(06:37):
find out anything. You want to find out what he
does and how he does it. And it's despicable. Okay,
then it really I mean, to anybody else, did it
feel like the complete energy changed, would Jimbo Fisher, let
me play for here's another kind of Nick Saban here.

(06:57):
Here's him talking about Jackson State in Miami. The n
C Double A doesn't get some protection from litigation, whether
we got to get an anti trust or whatever it is.
From a federal government standpoint, this is not going to
change because they cannot enforce their rules. Just like Nate said,
we have a rule right now that says you cannot
use name, image and likeness to entice a player to
come to your school. He'll read about it in the paper.

(07:19):
I mean, Jackson State paid a guy a million dollars
last year that was a really good Division one player
to come to school. It was in the paper and
they braped about it. Nobody did anything about it. I mean,
these guys at Miami that are going to play basketball
there for four dollars. It's in the newspaper. The guy
tells you how he's doing it. But the n C
Double A can't enforce their rules because it's not against
the law. Okay, so help me out. Though he's pointing

(07:44):
out Jackson State, he's pointing out A and M he's
pointing out Miami basketball. These are all and I understand
I totally understand, completely understand that um uh uh that
that wall well A and M feels like they're like

(08:08):
bought players is somehow some he I don't believe there was.
What what he said is accurate. Okay, he said, you're
not supposed to use um N I L for recruiting inducement.
And look, he also sounded like the oldest man on
earth when he's like, read it in the paper. Does
anybody was the last thing he picked up a paper?

(08:28):
I used to love the paper. Now, I mean I
I even see one left around and I'm like, what
is that foreign substance? I see newspapers almost as seldomly
as I see uh pay phones. Saw payphone the other
day I taking a picture. So he sounds ancient saying
reading the paper. But the idea is like everybody knew

(08:50):
the Miami story, right, I mean in sports Okay, uh,
the the Jackson State story they did there. There was
a lot of talk about all the money that he
had gotten to go there. I don't believe that was
Jackson State bragging about it. I believe that was Florida
State saying, like, dude, we had a guy committed and
then it was a million dollars and he goes to
Jackson State. Makes absolutely no sense. The A and M

(09:13):
stuff has all been widely discussed and talked about, and
the amount of money that all these guys are getting,
like there there's no secrets here. So to me, Saban's
actually it's a call to arms for his Alabama boosters, like,
hey man, if this is what we're gonna do and
they can't enforce it, then I guess we gotta go
and we gotta go play ball, and maybe we'll have

(09:33):
to change some things around here. Meanwhile, it's pointing out
the ridiculousness of name, image and likeness, which he even
said is legitimate being used to recruit players that haven't
played a second have played a staff in college football.
I gotta day, I agree. So Jimbo Fisher freaks out,
Then Dion Sanders freaks out. Here's Nick Saban earlier today

(09:55):
on serious sex M. You know, I should have never
really singled anybody out. You know, that was a mistake,
and I really apologize for that part of it. I
reached out to him, never got a response, but I
feel bad about it. But I'm not changing my philosophy
on you know, I look at the betterment of college football,

(10:17):
what is good for the game, and sometimes those things
are not what's best for Alabama. But I've been known
this for a long time, and you know, my my
whole focus has always been, you know, how can we
help players be successful? And I don't want to take
any way for anything away from them, and I don't
want to take any opportunities away from them. I just,
you know, I just think systematically, this is you know,

(10:38):
all the guys that are transferring, and you know, I mean,
it's it's it's a crazy world out there right now,
and hopefully, you know, we can all get our heads together,
you know, make it so people can get back to
focusing on what they need to do to develop either
in college and get an education and become better people,
become better players, have a chance to play at the

(10:59):
next level, which is you know what we've always tried
to create. Here's Nick Saban saying he never said anyone
did anything illegal. I really wasn't saying that anybody did
anything illegal, and use a name, image and likeness I did.
I didn't say that that was something that was assumed

(11:20):
by what I said, which is not really what I meant,
nor was it what I said. So there's nothing illegal
about doing this, it's the system that allows you to
do it, and that's the issue that I have. I
would say that that he did say it's illegal to
use name, image and likeness to induce somebody to sign.
And then he had previously talked about the signing class

(11:43):
at A and M and said he bought them. So
that's a very easy, very easily dot two dots easily
to connect. So no, he didn't say they did anything illegal,
but he basically said they did some illegal here's Nick
Saban stands on name, image and likeness. I'm not against name,
image and likeness. I think it's a great thing for players. Um,

(12:04):
you know, our players made a lot of money last
year and name image and likeness. But you know I
told our players to, you know, get an agent, get representation,
you know, make what you can make. Players have always
been able to work, and I think that's a good thing.
I agree with you, it's a good thing. I agree
with him on the name image of likeness that it
should be you have to play for the school before

(12:26):
you can collect money on the back of the school
and your play at the school. I think that's pretty simple.
That's not where it is. The scorched to earth. Will
see what comes of it with Jimbo Fisher. By the way,
Jimbo Fisher coach with Nick Saban, he said, ask anybody,
why did anybody ask him? Well, why did anybody go?
Like Jimbo? You coached with him, You were as coordinator

(12:47):
at l s U. Tell us at how was God created?
All right? Coming up next, I'll give you my picks
on tonight's game, plus two lives in one up. What
really happened the NHL last night? Find out next. Be
sure to catch the live edition of The Doug gott
Leap Show weekdays at three p m. Easter noon Pacific.

(13:11):
Matt corral in a couple of moments, Carolina Panthers Rockey
quarterback to Gottli Show, Fox Sports Radio. All right, we
got you some college football. We got some hoops for
you on the way. What's missing the puck to the
one cop. That's how we tell John Robbo's three stories

(13:37):
about the hockey and this Stanley Cup playoff, and he besides,
which are two lies? And which is the one cup?
I'll begin These stars were shining into Dallas as I
do my terrible French Canadian accent terry as Mike madonod
taled two goals in a home win against the Abs. Uh, yeah,

(14:03):
that that's not the one. This is the one, John,
This is the correct one. I Cole scored early in
overtime for the Hurricanes as they grabbed Game one over
the Rangers two to one. Mm hmm. Or did this
happen last night? John Ramos? The Oilers pulled goalie Edmonton
after allowing three first period goals and Calgary never looked back.

(14:26):
Is the Flames won nine six? Um? What do you
want to hear? Do you want to hear who? Who?
I think it's the right one, just to like to
eliminate who you're ruling out while you're rulling it out, Like, well,
I'm ruling out the first one. I think it was Dougs.

(14:48):
I don't. I'm descine. I don't think Mike McDonald plays
for the Stars anymore. I think he was. That was
a long time ago, I think. Okay, so that would
be my first thought. Pattern. Um. I like what Jason
Stewart had to say, just because it just sounds real. Uh,
what was it, Ed Mountain? Is that what you said?
Ed montag Yeah, Edmonton, So I want to I think

(15:15):
that's not true. I want to go out and stick
with Jason Stewart. I think Jason's is the correct alright, alright,
how about Doug's line, Yeah it was not. Mike mcdonod
twenty two years ago had two goals against the Avalanche
this week, but it did not happen last night. By
the way, these Stars aren't even in the playoffs anymore.
Avalancha playing the Blues. Um. And yeah, the Oilers did

(15:36):
lose to the Flames nine six, but there is no
goalie named Edmonton. Uh, that's just Edmonton. Uh in the name.
Ian Cole did have an early overtime goal. Hurricanes scored
latent regulation, then early in overtime and steel game one
against the Rangers. I actually saw the goal in overtime.

(15:56):
Uh it hit off a Rangers stick. Oh no, yeah, yeah,
exactly what happened now, Mike MacDonnell I think was on NHL,
right yeah, Genesis Yeah yeah? And and am I reading

(16:17):
this right? There? There are two Canadian teams left in
the Standard Cup Finals playoffs. That's pretty that's a pretty
big deal, right, well, only three I think made the playoffs,
so yeah, there's yeah, but they're playing each other, so
you're gonna get one in the final four. There you go,
you get to the the Canada, they play each other

(16:38):
and they stand by side by each Doug got lip
show here on Fox Sports Radio. Okay, So, by er,
what do you make of of the latest Nick Saban
stuff now that we've not now that we've heard Nick
Saban's Hey, I didn't say anything, but he did anything legal,
which I think it's a bit disingenuous. Uh. I think that, um,

(17:01):
he didn't have to name names. He didn't have to
say last night that Texas A and M was number
one and they bought all of their players. He could
have said if he had a problem with the system,
could have said just in general. He didn't have to
name names. But I think he was trying to get
cute and he's trying to cover his tracks. To your
point about what Jimbo Fisher said, there was a point

(17:24):
where where you're like, yeah, I get that, I'd be
mad too, And then he kept going and going and
going and going, and then there's a certain point where
it just naturally, all of a sudden, feels a bit
uncomfortable with what he's saying, So, I think Fisher did
go too far. I understand exactly where he's coming from,
because I didn't think Saban had to name anything. But

(17:45):
I also think it's disingenuous to think that Saban's really
worried about the system and he's worried about Alabama. Um, yes, uh, yes,
I I think so. This was the guy that went
to text this untild the high school coaches there what
a year ago, that Bryce Young and a million dollar
n I l deal already. Yes, he wasn't saying that

(18:07):
to discourage it. He was trying to be like, hey,
if your kids want to come to Alabama, our guy
just got a million dollars, right. I look, I just
think we sped up the process of what had naturally
happened previously, which is guys that are good players in
college get taken care of. Right Now, we've legalized it,
and we've made it so that you can legally get

(18:28):
take care of financially and now even more still when
you're in college. But I skipping a step and doing
it when they're in high school to to induce them.
I just I disagree with that's buying players. I knew
it would happen. But I thought it's buying players, and
I actually don't think it's good for the sport. I
don't think it's good for players, no matter how much
you're like, well, the you're taking money out of their pockets,

(18:49):
Like yeah, but we're like, what are we doing. You're
creating a world for a kid where they're so like
we've already worried about the entire element of a student athlete, right,
and like there's just there's a limit there between how
much your reward somebody and how much you're just you're

(19:10):
giving them something, which I you know, I I don't,
I don't. I don't understand. I don't understand it. Like
in what world do you get that kind of And
you might say, well, you get a signing bonus out
of college if you're an elite level student, Like okay, well,
I mean I could make the case that signing an
Alabama A and M is a bit of a signing bonus. Anyway,

(19:33):
in college football, it's the easiest because one most freshman
barely play, if at all. Secondly, you have to stay
there for three years because the NFL rule, so you're
gonna be there for more than a year. Why can't
you just make it so you have to wait a year?
You know, I know why the players don't want to
because half of them will flame out. So um anyway,

(20:00):
I just I'm not I've never been big on the
n I l I've come to accept it as this
is what enough people have yelled they want, even though
the reality is it's not necessarily needed and there's a
ton of other value there. But we get to where
you're just buying kids. And I agree with the sentiment
of Nick Saban, like, that's not the spirit of it,

(20:21):
and it's kind of gross. And I do think that
the reason he mentioned it was probably because he's like,
you know, I guess if you guys want to have
this deal, all right, fine. It's the same thing with
the transfer portal. I don't think he loved it or
even liked it. But if that's the way that you
can compete, fine. Anybody who's at a lower level where
anybody wants to come to Alabama is good enough. You

(20:42):
show yourself to be good enough. Come on, come on,
all right, here's the big questions. We're waiting for that
corral stop gonna open this week or next week. You
guys know, I thought it was the seventeen. What day
is that? That? This weekend two days ago? Says here

(21:04):
May Tuesday releases. Remember one CDs were released on Tuesdays. Well,
this actually is though, this this one is it? Does?
I guess it's it's playing. No, it's next Tuesday. He's
actually rights Tuesday. It's just next Tuesday. Not this. Do
you go see it? Buyer? See it next Tuesday? Different

(21:26):
version of that? Um no, probably not. Did you like
the first top Gun? I didn't see it. So you've
never seen top Gun. I've never seen it. I know
Goose and Maverick. That's right, Yeah, hit the brakes to
go flying by. Yeah, you're you're you're writing checks. Your
ass can't cash, your your your egos right and checks.
It's your ass can't cash. You don't know that those ones.

(21:48):
I love this need the speed, the need. I feel
the need the need for speed. Mother Goose. Uh you
watch out for the canopy. Nothing none of this. Watch
a cannon that's out for the canopy. Well there there
there's also Uh, there's also a negative ghost. And so
if I say negative ghost right to the pattern is full.

(22:10):
That does nothing for you? No, not at all. I mean,
I know the ending at least, don't know what happens
to the good guys pull it out. Well, no, I mean,
you know, I don't want to ruin it for anybody
that also liked me. I think I think, I think
you can spoiler alert a thirty year old film, right, yeah,
but that's not the end. Okay, then I don't. Then

(22:32):
I don't know the end, but I know that that
part happens. That's why he's gotta watch out for the canopy.
They eject, they they they're, they're, they're they're kind of
air tussling with a meg a Russian MiG and they
have to eject, and when they eject, his head hits
the canopy and um, yeah, I think he broke his

(22:53):
deck and he was dead. So so that's it's it's
very sad. Yeah, well no, it wasn't graphic. I mean
you can I mean, you know, he just kind of
just kind of floated down the parachute deploys. But he
there was he was a lifeless body. And then a
young Meg Ryan was his wife and young maid. And
Ryan was I mean she was the best, right, I mean,

(23:15):
like that that was that was She was America's Sweetheart, thankfully.
I don't think Meg Ryan made it to this this
film new that Kelly McGillis did. I don't think. But
Val Kilmer does as the Iceman, as the Iceman, as
the Iceman, and of course Tom Cruise does. He's Math,

(23:36):
He's Maverick, and it's it's based on him. I've heard
some good reviews, by the way, from people who have
seen it already. Who people, John, you gotta give us
more than that, Well, just people I follow people John
John saw stuff on Twitter. People people I followed in

(23:57):
the industry who I have seen movies with before the
COVID hit, when I was going to see movies with them.
But I haven't been vided back since before the COVID hit.
Ye on rotten to make that's pretty good. That's incredible. Yeah,
it's incredible, really really incredible. So that that's a that's

(24:21):
a big one. Matt Corral joins this quarterback Carolina Panthers.
Are you going to see the new Top Gun? Are
you talking to me? Yes? Are you going to see
the new Top Guns? I don't think. Uh, I don't
think I am. I mean, I've seen the first I

(24:41):
don't think. I don't think so I've seen the first one,
but it was a long time ago. So I got
to rewatch the first one. Uh well, I think it
was a long time ago for everybody. I'm just asking, like,
is that something like are you a movie guy? Are
you gonna go see it? Yeah? I'm a movie guy,
but I mean I don't I don't think top Guns
would be on the top of my list. All right,
So what's what's on the top up your list? Like
it's a let's just say you're you're alone in your

(25:02):
new apartment in Carolina, okay, and you want to chill
and there's no gain, no sports on that you want
to watch? You want to throw throw? Are you a
serious guy or a movie guy? Which you prefer? Oh,
I'm a movie guy for sure. I can't keep up
with series. Okay, So what what what would be what
would be your go to? Like I've seen this movie
a hundred times. I could see it a hunter bar

(25:23):
anyone with Leonardo DiCaprio or Denzel Washington for sure, mainly
mainly Denzel. I like the action and suspense you've got,
all right. I like that. I like that you kind
of have a little bit of a Ethan Hawk training
day kind of look to you though, too right, I've
heard is that what is that? What you hey? When

(25:45):
when you go to the barber, you're like, bro, I
need the Ethan Hawk. Is that I show? I showed
him the Ethan Hawk picture and then he cuts me
up and I get the same exact look in the mirror.
Are you going? No guard on the side? Do you
have a one guard in the side? Uh? No guards?
No guards on the side. Okay, what do you do
now now that you change location, now that you're in Charlotte?
Have you found have you found a new guy? I

(26:07):
have not. I have not, and that that's very important
I'm going to do. Let me, let me, let me
help this out. Okay, attention all barbers in the Charlotte
metropolitan area. MC Corral star quarterback, oh miss Now for
the Carolina Panthers needs a quality fresh e uh. We

(26:27):
prefer someone who has served or will be serving time
because they perform better under pressure. Please send all request
to Matt Corral. Thank you. There you go, there's your
there's your public services. I'm big on if my barber
has served time and maybe that's where you learned to
kind of I think that's a good thing because that
means like, look, if you cut you miss somebody's hair

(26:48):
up like in Newport Beach, no big deal. You miss
somebody's do up in the clink, you might get ship.
You might get a ship. Right, So it's a big yeah,
yes yes, Um. So what's it? What's it like to
be a pro? Um? You know, it's surreal really, just
you know, walking into the building and having my first
meeting on rookie Mini uh, on first day of rooky

(27:10):
Mini camp, and just really just dissecting the NFL playbook
with Coach mcket teaching it. Um. You know, they expect
a lot out of you, and there's a lot of
pressure on you just because you're a competitor and your
perfectionist and you know, just having an understanding that nothing
is gonna be perfect, and uh, having the mindset of,
you know, I'm not going to be perfect. I am
going to make mistakes, but all that matters is that
I don't make the same mistake twice, um, you know,

(27:33):
and just having having to remind yourself about that mindset
because again, you know, a lot of us that are
in this position, we're very competitive, and you know that's
what got us here. But at the same time, it's
gonna be a bit of a learning learning process, and um,
all you gotta do is just keep shipping away at it.
Have have you talked to Sam yet? Yeah? Yes, sir,

(27:53):
I mean me and him. Uh got into the film room,
Um all the days that I was there, so, um
he came Monday, and so I've been in the film
room with him just you know, uh ever since ever
since I uh I left because I'm at the Rookie
premiere right now. So I plan on to continue to

(28:14):
keep on doing that and being in his back pocket
just to pick up habits and uh um little pointers
that got him to where he is today. Um, the
NFL Rookie nfl p A Rookie Premiere. What is it? Um? Honestly,
I I don't know. It's okay, you can say I
don't really know, Like, is it I don't really see

(28:35):
a ward show? Is it an autograph signing? Are you
throwing footballs? What are you doing? It's an It's like
an autograph signing and you get to meet, uh, you know,
a bunch of marketing brands at the NFL p A
partners with and they're kind of like the you know,
the bridge to those to those marketing sponsors, and you
know they're like the middleman between it that connects us

(28:56):
and makes those connections for us. All right, So that
that helps you know, the people like Panini America, right,
and this work with the NFL P a Rookie Premier event,
you get your first ever trading card in a Panther's uniform.
You've been through a lot personally, a lot as a
as a player. What's it like to now you're gonna
be able to have your own Panini training card trading card? Uh?

(29:19):
You know, it is definitely a surreal feeling, you know,
having your own plane card, you know, being able to
put on that, you know, that Panther's uniform and really
just weren't just representing that shield on your chest that
the NFL has got in Um, you know, living out
the dream every single day and being uh, recognizing that
you're blessed every single day to have this opportunity and
uh you know, uh, you know, words can't explain how

(29:42):
grateful I am to be in this position. If you
were to tell a high school kid and look you
in through all the different you know, two different schools
obviously starting up at ed Oaks Christian then ending up
at Polly Okay, you know you you're going to sc
then you decide you're going to Old Miss and the
red shirting all the are still stuff or whatever. If
you were to give a high school kid some advice

(30:04):
on how to deal with the successes and the failures
that you've been through and then come out the other side,
what would it be. Really? Just control what you can control. Um,
don't beat yourself up over something that you can't control,
that you have you know, you don't have any responsibility
towards just because again it's out of your control. You
can't do anything about it. Why beat yourself up over

(30:25):
something that is you know you're not able to control
the situation. So you know, I know that's it's more
easier said than done, you know, because you know, life
isn't fair. In life does a bunch of stuff at you.
And you know, being being a young man in high
school and having to just grow up a lot quicker
because you're you're on the platform of you know, you

(30:46):
are a four or five star crew. You're gaining all
this media attention and you even got you know, your
your classmates looking up to you and uh, you know
kids below you looking up to you and um, you know,
just you know, I would say, you know, um, don't
have such a wide lens, um have that tunnel vision
of you know, just focus on be where your feet are,

(31:08):
I should say, and just being able to concentrate on
on on the now rather than the later. Um. The
big topic today in All Sports TV, all Sports Radio
is Jimbo Fisher and Saban going at it. Right. I
haven't got to watch that video yet. You want you want?
You want to hear it? Yeah? I saw KIF and
retweet it and I sent it. I had sent it

(31:31):
to myself just to remind myself to logic because I
wanted to see what he said. Oh he can't, he
can't hear I. Okay, well let let me just listen.
Here's to take a listen. This is so so real quick.
What Saban said was like, hey, you got the back
I got the background information of Okay, you got the background.
Here's here. Here's Jim Bow's response. Here, here's Jim Bow's response.

(31:53):
Take a listen. First of all, say, it's a shame
that we have to do this. It's really despicable. It's
a spic more that somebody can say things about somebody
and in organ more importantly, seventeen year old kids. You're
taking shots at seventeen year old kids and their families.
Uh he he went, He went on. He went on
to say, he went scorched earth man. He said, anybody's

(32:17):
every looking out you. You want to know what really happens.
Ask anybody has ever worked with him before? You know
that he has to be called. He said, we're done,
We're not talking anymore. It was it was really scorched earth.
You've you've lived that world, okay, not just the sec world,
but the recruiting world. When you when you see here
these guys going back and forth, what do you think.

(32:38):
I think they all are the same. They all do it.
I mean, every every school does it, especially now at
n I L being a thing, everybody does it. You know,
there's no school that however they want to look at it.
You know, at one way or another, these kids getting
getting benefits from whatever company represents that school or ever

(33:00):
alumni owns this company, and he gets to go to
that school and the name like it happens everywhere. It's
not you know, and it's a it's a thinking recruiting now,
especially because of the N I L. So, I mean
when I when I hear them like go back and
forth like that, it's just I don't know me personally,
It's like we all like I don't know, we all
know why why they act like they don't do it

(33:22):
last thing and I know you gotta run. Okay. Is
this if you could go back, if you were a
star quarterback coming out, should you go to the highest
bidder or should you it? Should it be more about fit?
Like what what should the balance be in terms of
where you pick? I mean, so for me personally, Um,
the smartest decision that I made, even when N I
L was a thing was and I kind of I

(33:45):
kind of I think it kind of compliments the two
or compliments the reasoning of where I'm going with this.
Like I wasn't the type of person to just take
everything that came to me because I felt like it
was going to devalue me. So you know, I wanted
to be authentic about it and be able to you know,
work with compan knew that that you know, I thought
I thought would fit well with me. So you know,
I'm not going to go to a school that that's

(34:07):
gonna pay give me a million dollar deal because you
know that money is gonna come. You know, you don't
need that money right now. You're a college kid. You
don't you don't need that. What you need right now
is being able to be developed to play at the
next level, because that's when the real money comes. A
million dollars ain't gonna last you. I mean the majority
of the college kid that that million million dollars is

(34:28):
not gonna last the very long. So I mean where
where I where the smart decision would be. Go somewhere
where you're gonna get developed. Go somewhere where the best
competition is going to be that that's going to bring
the best out of you, and then you get a
chance to have a trading card from Pandia America. Like
Matt Correll, Matt enjoy the NFL p a Rookie event.

one shot back at four under. But how about a
couple of names that we haven't spoken about recently, including
one John Daily, Yes, the g A champion who is

(35:58):
able to use a heart for medical reasons at Southern Hills,
shot a two over power seventy two and in fact
was one underpower with three holes left to play, but
went bogey bogey bogey on his final three holes. So
John Daily today plus two after a round of seventy two. Wow,
