Speaker 3 (01:58):
You guys, like where did you come from? You're like
the girl from the Avengers, the what's your name? It's
the guy with the arrows and the girl black Widow,
like black widowaggles you and scarlet, Yeah, you and your sister,
Like what Scarlet Johanson.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
You guys come out of nowhere.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
And you know how I prove my point because of
that one time whenever we were going to that press
conference and you had that knife.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
That was the craziest shit ever. Your abs. You're like
the security guards looking at your abs. We'll get the
knife or he's doing what are you doing with that knife?
I always want to know why did you have that knife?

Speaker 4 (02:34):
It's like a it's like a part of personality.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
You go outside, it's like you.

Speaker 4 (02:39):
Have to have like your gun with your knife. Is
it's not about I feel it's not about only about
the self defense, because like it's more about your personality.
If you kind of like feel good visit attributing your wardrobe,
why not?

Speaker 3 (02:57):
Yeah, for sure. Well I take you that hat, the
monster hat. That's a great hat. That company makes great hats.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
Obviously we both love, you know, and it's like the
first time that I did like a lot because it's
kind of like half.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Shape like this.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
It doesn't just sit a normal Valentina, thank you for
checking it with me.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
I appreciate your time. Champion. We're back here.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
Third fight against Alexa Grosso, first female trilogy in UFC history.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
How does that feel?

Speaker 4 (03:26):
Feels good? It feels good. I'm ready for the fight.
I'm like prepared to like never and yeah, it's it's fine.
It's funny because we are now like and everybody speak
about like why they fight cert time and I said,
like the third time, only because the second fight I won,
but they give me a draw, and only this reason

(03:47):
why we speak about this.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
Do you think that? Do you think that? Why do
you think that happened?

Speaker 3 (03:53):
If you feel like you want to fight but they
gave the draw, why do you think that that happened?
It was on Mexican Independent's Day in t Mobile Arena,
that was a very pro Alexa Grosco crowd. Do you
think that played a part in that?

Speaker 4 (04:05):
I don't know. I really didn't want to think about
like all these underwater stones, yeah what it was there,
and like I don't want to dive deep into there. Yeah,
because my focus right now it's like focusing on September fourteen. Yeah,
it's going to be completely different fights three oh six.
It feel great, and my focus it's not on the past, it's.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
On the future in order to move forward.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Right, So I fought on the trilogy with Steve a
miocicch and in order to go forward, I had to
go back to fight one. I had to go to
fight two to get to fight three. How much time
did you spend because clearly you were better in fight
two than you were in fight one. It came down
to literally one mistake in fight one, and that's something

(04:47):
we never saw from you. We never saw you make mistakes.
That's why you were so dominant. But is it that
Alexa Grosso has a good style so that she's always
going to be competitive because you two seem to be
the perfect matchup and she does. You're counter striking this
next level it's always been, but she doesn't take many chances.

(05:08):
What did you guys see in all those fights to
help you build the plan for this weekend?

Speaker 4 (05:13):
Oh yeah, it's it's completely right what you're saying. It's like,
go back to the first fight, go back to the
second fight, and like watching fight all over and over,
and it's every time, analyzing every time to see the holes,
to see the like what you can do better, what
you have to do, like with your speed, visio endurance,
with the like. This is what we was working a

(05:35):
lot on my training gap and it's kind of like,
I feel myself in the point where I feel myself
like just better than I was even like a few
years ago. Really, I feel myself like in incredible shape
right now.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
So it's a goal.

Speaker 4 (05:50):
It's just to save it for September fourteen.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
What did you do different? I mean you were so
dominant before. How did you make jumps? What did did
you train? What did you do different?

Speaker 4 (06:00):
It's like, uh, before the battle to say what like
secrets you possess her? Like I cannot like right now
to say everything because.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
I different training camps.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
No, it's not different training camp. It's it's sounds like details, Okay,
some approach to the training and your mindset. It's like
it's small adjustments. It's kind of like all the same,
but with the smaller chance adjustments it's made completely different game.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
Val You know, when you're defending the belt for that long, right,
it's easy to go, well, this fight looked like this, right, Jessica.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
I I kicked her upside the head.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
Then I thought, uh, Jessica andrage and she's supposed to
be this great wrestling. I was able to out wrest her,
and you're just winning and winning and winning. Sometimes there's
a complacency that sets in. Do you feel like when
you fought Electare the first time, this is a girl
that was coming up in weight class, like maybe she
wasn't as threatening so many others. Do you feel like

(07:02):
maybe that was a little bit of what happened?

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Oh what happened?

Speaker 4 (07:06):
It's like it's happened because it was MMA, it was
mixed martial arts. There is no it doesn't make sense.
I mean like it's seconds can decide everything and definitely
being like champion and every time like everyone saying like
how unbeatable you are, and of course it's kind of
like a little bit affecting your brain. But I try

(07:29):
every time to like stay away from that. But it's
not that reason why it's happened. It's happened because it's happened,
and it's kind of like everyone could like go through that.
Things the most important how you overcome, how you come back.
And if you're thinking, oh my god, this happened because
like everyone said, you are unbeatable and someone big to

(07:51):
you and now you are like have so pity for
yourself and like saying like, oh I retired anymore, I
won't do it like so.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
Many fighters do that there, I'm done.

Speaker 4 (08:02):
It's like how you can say is that you are
a true champion if you are not going through the
difficulties and overcome, like in the better position of yourself.
For me, martial arts it's my life, it's my lifestyle,
and I like to do that. I like this pressure,
I like this everything but feeling during the fight week,

(08:22):
and that's why I'm come back even stronger than I
was in the second five.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
My my career in wrestling allowed me to deal with
loss after because when you kickbox as long as you do,
you deal with loss and you come back better when
you wrestle as long as I did. If I lost
a match, I just was better the next time. And
I think it kind of prepared me for that. But
it feels like it can rejuvenate you your mindset.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
Do you feel that you've grown through all of this?

Speaker 4 (08:48):
Definitely, definitely, it's a little bit like changed in your mindset.
It's every time improvement, it's every time readjustment. It's you
are not in the comfortable position. And I say and
every time like be the champion, and I mean like
not only hold the belt, but internal feeling this that
you are champion. It's like every time dealing with uncomfortable things.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
Yes, did you enjoy the Ultimate Fighter spending time with
her like that? Because Stepe hated it with me because
I talked to you the whole time I was chirping
at him. He could not stand being in that same
space with me. Did you enjoy the process?

Speaker 4 (09:26):
I really liked it, But it's hard process, especially when
you are like two months. You have to work with
the guys, you have to train, you have to and
I was training this guy the same, so I not
only was coaching them but also training and do like
all the filming stuff or whatever. But I'm very happy
that my team Tim Bullet, was so same mindset it

(09:49):
and it's kind of like we have the same love
for martial arts and no matter how far we came from,
like South Africa, Russia, were like so like Cyprus, Lithuania,
US like from all around the world, but we have
the same passion for martial arts. And I could feel

(10:10):
it in the in the guys and how they approach
for the training, and I really hope that they will
have another chance to prove themselves. For those who didn't
have this chance and for example they lost, But why
they lost. They lost because they wanted so much to
show themselves. They just like vent there and Emma, it's

(10:34):
just one mistake. And I really hope because I saw
in them so much talent, so much like they can
do it. I know they can do fight. They can't
fight and you see, and I really hope that you
civil give them another chance.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
Okay, So Chill Sunn is my partner. Chill Sunn talks
a lot, and he came up with this thing that
you didn't want to fight on Mexican Independence Day again,
but then ultimately you signed on to fight on Mexican
Independence Day at the sphere if that was the case.
Because again, everything Jill says I take with a grainssalt

(11:07):
because I don't know if he tells the truth.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
He makes things up.

Speaker 4 (11:10):
He made things up because like and I kind of
like a where is it? Because he said I'm a spy.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
Yes he did.

Speaker 3 (11:17):
He told me that too. He goes, she's a spy.
You know that I was like a real spy.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
Chill. He's like yes, but he convinces himself that it's
real and now all the world and it starts, it
starts with him.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
He does it to me constantly, and by association, I'm
guilty because I'm sitting there next with him and we're
talking about stuff.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
But he said, you.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
Didn't want to do it, and now we're here and
you're doing it. Was that a real thing that you
didn't want to fight on this day and now that
you're doing it?

Speaker 2 (11:47):
What made that decision?

Speaker 4 (11:49):
Oh? Because I didn't care who fights when and like where,
and for me, martial arts it is what is the
most important. And it's like especially I feel that, yes,
it's a lot of like thematic of Mexican it depends
on day, but it's not the same case that it
was last year. It's USEE three O six number one.

(12:10):
It's Riot season, it's the first event. It's like the
main event of the money and so it's like USA
against Georgia. So it's kind of like same same but different.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
And also I don't think it's going to be as
pro crowded there because I think be.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
The sphere because.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
Fighting right like Canelo's fighting, So I just think, I
just know that I think that the crowd will be
much more diverse inside the sphere.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
So that was a concern.

Speaker 3 (12:39):
I think this would have been the right car to
fight on to Alexa Grassol, how do you get it
done this weekend? Like what do you see in her
that makes her special?

Speaker 2 (12:50):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (12:50):
It's just like sometimes you don't seem like in someone
too much special, but it's turned it out if you
have like this a thirt fight, right, And I respect Alexa.
I like during our tough show, we had like so
much time to speak and we kind of like share

(13:11):
a little bit of our like because I am not
the person who's gonna like fight again.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
Did you not like have you ever had an opponent
where you just did not like him? And every time
you came together with me.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
Like I can't stay.

Speaker 4 (13:24):
There was one it's supposed to be the first women's trilogy, Amanda.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
Oh yeah, yeah, I forgot about that. Yeah, you and
Amanda didn't get along great.

Speaker 4 (13:35):
I think it would be like crazy like to be
around us like like for the but with Alexa is
different because and I just respect all my opponents. It's like,
I know, what does it mean to go inside of
the octagon every day to show up on the training?
What does it mean like for like girl go and
trains that and like do the same thing. What the

(13:57):
guys do and it's it's all very respectable and for
them like to go inside of the octagon and the fight,
it's already respectful. That's why it's kind of like when
we are out of the fight, I'm fine. I'm like
I'm a normal personally, but in the fight, it's like
it's a different business.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
The thing that stands out is her boxing.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
Obviously, has there been anything you've had to do completely
different in the approach? Are you going to just be
Valentine and chef Chenko because it works so many times?

Speaker 4 (14:28):
Number one, beval internation of Chenko, be a bullet. It's
I think it's the main key for success. And use
all the knowledge what I have with all the speed
what I have. And I I heard she throws some
comments like about my tactic. But before now it works
so good, it's so fine.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
You know when you win last one for me, you've
defended the belt so many times, seeing you holding that
championship becomes normal. Are you ready to get back to
normal this weekend by beating her and becoming champion again.

Speaker 4 (15:04):
I'm so ready for it. I'm so really ready for it.
And it's it's it's kind of like the things that
when you know what you have to do, and I
really know what it's like. No step for back, it's
just forward to my goal to take what it's belonged
to me. And yeah, because I know many people that

(15:26):
say it's like, it's not the belt, it's like a
pass what you are doing. But remember when young fighters
join UC for the first time what the goal was.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
Of course, once you get that belt the first time,
it's like, how do you recreate that?

Speaker 2 (15:43):
Boy?

Speaker 3 (15:43):
When you get that belt the first time is the best.
There's nothing like it the first time.

Speaker 2 (15:48):
This is it?

Speaker 4 (15:48):
So like, let's let's speak truth. The belt it always
was the goal.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
And this is like I hate when people say that
it's not about the belt. Of course it is.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
It's always been about the belt from the very start
of this shit. Guys, Valentine's Chefchenko fights against Lex Grosso
this weekend at UFC three ZH six. It's riodd season
and Valentine's trying to make it normal season by becoming
a champion again.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
Thank you for checking it with me.

Speaker 3 (16:13):
Valentina, Guys, check into everything she's doing World Traveler.

Speaker 2 (16:18):

Speaker 3 (16:20):

Speaker 2 (16:24):
