Speaker 3 (01:50):
All right, man, ex you go ahead. Welcome back to
the Richard Sherman Podcast. We got an incredible guest leading
the NFL and interceptions with Xavier McKinney of the Green
Bay Packers. Appreciate you joining me.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Brother, Yes, sir, I appreciate you for having me.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
No, it's a blessing to have you. You. You're having
a heck of a year right now, man, and you
should be proud of yourself. You you're already at your
career high and picks. How are you doing it? Man?
Speaker 4 (02:17):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (02:17):
Just preparing the right way, man.
Speaker 4 (02:20):
You know, I think you know, this year, it's the
first year where I'm kind of just letting it loose,
you know, letting my instincts kind of play out, and
just trusting and believing in what what I'm seeing and
just going out there and tactling and making me s play.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
So you know, it's been great.
Speaker 4 (02:35):
Just kind of I kind of hit the reset button,
you know, once I got to Green Bay and kind
of refreshed my mind and I knew, you know, once
I got here, it was it was trying to hit
the ground running.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
Well, we're gonna we're gonna start from We're gonna step
step by step through your journey, because you've been an
incredible journey and to come in. We're gonna start at Bama.
Coming into Obama. You you enrolled early, you win and
Natty like that got to be incredible. I never got
to win him. Natty. We went one and eleven. When
I came in to Stanford and I said, oh, this
might not be for me.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
Yeah that's a little rough.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
That's a little rough, But but talk to me about
saving and your relationship with him, because one thing he
does he puts DB's out and he puts him in
the league and they usually do really well.
Speaker 4 (03:21):
And another case for sure, Yeah, our relationship was tight,
I think ever since, you know, once he started recruiting
me in high school, you know, we were kind of
building building that relationship. And then once I got there,
you know, my freshman year, like he was always on
my ass, and you know I always used to kind
of get kind of frustrated with it. But you know
(03:43):
what I'm saying, people would always tell me, like, that's
a good thing that he you know what I'm saying,
always trying to, you know, get me to be better,
give me to do this, give me do that, because
that means he actually, you know what I'm saying, he
really cared for me, and he actually thinks, you know,
I could.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
Be you know, really good at you know what I'm doing.
Speaker 4 (03:59):
So as that kind of you know, as my years
went on, we built that relationship and once I gained
like his trust, I think I gained his trust probably
I would say, like my sophomore year, but like in practice,
and that's when when I really started to see that
that trust level you know within you know, him to
me just kind of let me, uh, you know, just
(04:21):
be the player that I was, and he wasn't trying
to over coach me on certain things and he just
kind of gave me the ability to just go out
there and play. And you know, ever since then, you know,
it was kind of you know history from there, but
just kind of him coaching that like always that perfection.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
I kind of saw how.
Speaker 4 (04:38):
He handled his business and went about doing things as
far as how he coached, and you know, just how
he talked just with everything seemed so calculated. You know,
that drove me, you know, at the early age, you know,
seeing that because I never you know, you never you
never see things like that. So when you see that
at the early age, it kind of you know sticks in,
you know, it sticks with you.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
And that was something that really.
Speaker 4 (05:01):
Stuck with me, and I tried to just carry that
on as I continue to keep playing.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
So as you as you go through, you know, you
have a really successful career at Bama. You going into
the draft process, where did you expect to go?
Speaker 4 (05:14):
Man, So everybody was saying like seventeen Now that was
the Cowboys at the time, and then I had a
you know, a lot of stuff happened, you know, up
until the draft.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
Obviously went to the combine, didn't run the forty that
I wanted.
Speaker 4 (05:30):
To run, and you know, I'm saying, slipped, and you know,
teams were trying to kind of get my like my
speed numbers from practice, and my thing was, I told them,
I was like, now, y'all, like I knew what my
numbers were for practice, but I'm like, y'all not getting
those because my film gonna tell you everything you need
to know.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
And so I thought I was going seventeen.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
And then once I didn't, you know what I'm saying
that that day was kind of crazy for me because
I didn't go in the first round, and you know
that was that was the thing that kind of stuck
with me, was I just felt devastated, and you know,
I knew that, you know, it was a lot more
work to do, and that was something that kind of
added just kind of another chip on my shoulder.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
Yeah, sometimes it's a blessing in disguise. You know, you
don't got that fifth year and now you get free
agency faster. At the time, it seems like, man, everything
is lost and then you get to that fourth year,
you're like, wait a minute, I'm to the money quick. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
No, in fact, that that's exactly what it is.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
Bru.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
It's like you never notice it.
Speaker 4 (06:30):
Like obviously, when you're young, you're not really thinking about,
you know what I'm saying, all of that stuff. You
kind of want to be you know what I'm saying.
That's almost like the quote unquote started to show you
know what I'm saying, the first round or whatever. But
you know, when you get in the league and started
to realize, you know, how the business part of it worked,
you're like, hell, yeah, I'm glad that, you know saying
things worked worked out right.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
Right, because they could have controlled your rights for a
whole nother year. You would still be in New York.
You know, you might get your fifth year money, but
it wouldn't be as much you're making.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
Now for sure, for sure, and.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
Then you have some really good years in New York.
You know, I don't know about what the internal workings,
but they wasn't winning a lot of games regardless of
how well you playing. What went to your decision to
go to Green Bay because not a lot of people
not a lot of people going to Appleton.
Speaker 4 (07:16):
Yeah, I think it was a couple of things I
had When I was with the Giants, we had played
the Packers.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
I had played them twice previously, once in London and.
Speaker 4 (07:24):
Then once at home when I was there, and I
just saw like how they played all the time.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
I saw the urgency with which they played with, and
then I saw the potential that was already here.
Speaker 4 (07:38):
And obviously they had a slow start last year, but
later in the season and they really picked it up
and they got pretty deep in the playoffs, and that
was something that that.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
Was really intriguing to me.
Speaker 4 (07:51):
And then on top of obviously my college code, well
that was my college because my freshman year, Derrick Ansley,
he ended up coming here, and so that was kind
of like another thing that that drove me to definitely
learning this spot and then knowing that, you know what
I'm saying, so winning the organization.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
And then on top of obviously it's Wisconsin.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
But I thought, for where I was at in my
life and where I was at my career, like it
was time for me to really lock in and focus
and lock in on what I trust and and that's football.
So you know, I thought the timing was Purfey for me,
and uh, I think this was a perfect spot for me.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
Yeah. I mean you got a full off season to
do everything you need to do, you know. That's what.
That's what sometimes when when kids are young, I don't
want a kid, but grown men. But but when you're young,
you feel like, man, I want to go somewhere fun.
It's like no, no, no, no, no, you want to go
somewhere born exactly.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
And that's it. And that's the that's the thing too.
Speaker 4 (08:47):
It's like when you go to it, like when your
first team is a place like New York, and like
I feel like I hadn't seen I haven't seen a
lot of stuff, you know what I'm saying. So it's
like for me, it's like, all right, I did that
part of my that chapter is kind of you know
what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (09:01):
That chapter is over.
Speaker 4 (09:02):
It's trying to you know what I'm saying, get to
my next chapter in life and in my playing career.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
And I just felt like this was the right place
to be.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
I agree. I agree. I mean it looks like it
worked out perfectly. I mean, you you come there. I'm
sure Lafloor has been great, but you also have Halfley
and Jeff Haffley. I got a lot of experience, a
lot of love, a lot of appreciation, a lot of
regard for Jeff Haffley and uh my time with him. Uh,
tell me how how he's been because obviously you know,
this is the first year with the team, but y'all
(09:32):
lead in the league and turnovers your big reason. Uh,
how has he been?
Speaker 2 (09:36):
He's been great.
Speaker 4 (09:38):
You know, He's just every week consistently providing that transparency
and always communicating with us if we don't you know,
I'm saying, want something in the game plan, or if
we see something differently, you know, all we gotta do
is is you know what I'm saying, take some call
on go to his office and uh, you know what
I'm saying, we could switch you know, whatever it is.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
So I think that's really been the best thing he
and he pushes us.
Speaker 4 (10:02):
To not only you know what I'm saying, know what's
going on, but be great in the scheme that you
know what I'm saying he's teaching. And so I just
think it's been good all around. Man, we all feel comfortable.
He all just he's just giving us a feel where
we could just be ourselves. And we can go out
there and play freely and play fast. I think that's
(10:22):
the biggest thing to our success early is just going
out there being able to play fast, not making the
game plan you know, too too much or too overly complicated,
just giving us our rules and us locking into those
rules and going out there and executing.
Speaker 3 (10:38):
Man, he's such a great prepare. You know, I don't
know many coaches that prepare as well as he does.
Like he's gonna make sure you have every look that
you need to see. Like the looks he give you
in practice is the looks you're gonna see in that game.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
Tell me, now, you now you spot on with that one?
Like we because I know I'm beating with him like
I be with.
Speaker 4 (10:57):
Him extra and you see, we will meet like Wednesday mornings,
we really Wednesday morning, Thursday morning to kind of get
He just tell me the game plan, uh see if
I see if I see anything differently, but he'll show
me like you know what I'm saying, cut ups of
you know what I'm saying, different stuff, And you know,
he just always on top of it, bro, And it
(11:19):
really shows and it really helps us out when we
got there and play.
Speaker 3 (11:21):
Now, let's get to your picks, because you've been booking everybody.
You know, leave the weapon, book them, daddy. You you
got the one against Minnesota. They always say it's controversial.
I look, it's hard enough to play defense. I don't
want to hear nothing about Oh he did he catch it?
And yes he called it. You know what I mean,
y'all get away with all this nonsense. Let us get
away with something from Tom. What are these all covered too?
(11:45):
Because a lot of them look like cover too. And
if you you robbing people in cover two like this,
my my guy, you are a talented human being because
you are.
Speaker 2 (11:55):
So the first one. It's funny.
Speaker 4 (11:56):
So the first one was covered to the Eagles pick
was covered too, and the others were. I was in
the was playing three D and one of those three
deeps that we was playing, the one in Minnesota, I
was actually a hook dropper.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
We hooked dropper.
Speaker 4 (12:12):
So I kind of been in all kind of different
spots and being able to just try to y'all say,
make these plays.
Speaker 3 (12:19):
So, yeah, the ball is definitely finning you. The one
with Philadelphia, Uh, just looked like a real good read.
But let's talk about Brazil because, first of all y'all
not getting me out to Brazil without a lot of
security and a lot of you know, so, good good
job for y'all, But tell me how that experience was,
because it looked it looked tough, and from what I'm
(12:41):
hearing from some of your teammates and from some guys
on the other side, it was just a lot different
than what you would want your NFL game day experience
to be.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
For sure. Yeah, I mean I wasn't. I'm be honest,
I wasn't really a big.
Speaker 4 (12:53):
Fan of the of the Brazil trip, just for the
simple fact, Like I want, when we went to London.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
To play, it was a lot different, Like we had
a lot more freedom.
Speaker 4 (13:05):
We could go out to the city kind of do
what we wanted to do, whatever the case may be.
But in Brazil we had to stay in the hotel
the whole time. Like I remember, my teammates they were
trying to walk down the street to go to I
think McDonald's or something, and they couldn't even do that,
and it was like it's like ten steps away, you
know what I'm saying, And they weren't even letting us
do that.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
So we were just kind of cooped up the whole time.
Speaker 4 (13:27):
We weren't able to do nothing, We weren't able to see anything,
and obviously we had the security twenty four to seven.
And then on top of the field was kind of like,
I don't know, you watched the game, Like the field
wasn't great. Everybody was slipping, so like it wasn't the
best experience compared to how it was in London. And
(13:49):
to me, like you know what I'm saying, they even
told us before the game, like to not encourage like
our friends and family to come to the games. So
it was just kind of like what was really the
point of this? But yeah, that was that's kind of
my you know, my two cents on that.
Speaker 3 (14:04):
Yeah, they just wanted to say they did it. You know,
It's one of those things the NFL. It's like, yeah,
we did Brazil too, were going to Germany. We own this,
and it's like, well, sometimes you got to think of
the well being of the players and exactly the health
of the players and just the comfort level of the players,
like give us a heads up, give me a say
so in this because my safe vote is no, I'm
not going yeah yeah, and in my contract to play
(14:26):
out there, I'm a United States, occasionally London, but you
ain't Brazil. You know, no offense to all my Brazilian fans,
but yeah, it's it's a different environment over there. Tell
me because because I think get being in rhythm is
something that a lot of people don't really understand, especially
if you never you know, it's like a three point shooter,
(14:47):
like the rim looks big as ever. You know, right now,
it seems like you're just in rhythm. You know, you
trust your instincts, like you said, you're feeling good. You
you you trust in your film. You're putting in the
work watching the film, I'm sure in practice and walk throughs,
you booking everybody because you're so locked in, and even
the fumble recovery you had, like the ball is just
finey you right place, right time. Sometimes it's your time, baby. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (15:11):
Now yeah, that that one's crazy too, because it's funny
because when you look back on the film, like I
was asking, I saw the ball get punched out, and
so I'm celebrating, you know what I'm saying, because I'm.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
In the back and like at first you was not close.
I wasn't even close.
Speaker 4 (15:25):
I wouldn't even and then next thing you know, it
just popped out right in front of me. I'm like, oh,
and everybody has stopped playing, like everybody kind of just
the pole and the pile. They're still going after the ball,
not knowing that they not even nowhere.
Speaker 2 (15:36):
Near the ball.
Speaker 4 (15:37):
And then everybody else around it they just walk in
and not even know they think to play over with
And the next thing though, I see the damn ball
and I'm like, oh shit.
Speaker 3 (15:45):
I gotta grab that.
Speaker 2 (15:46):
So then that's how that worked out.
Speaker 3 (15:48):
So yeah, now you got to get to the crip.
So I mean you're at five right now. So it's
Trayvon Diggs was the last one to get ten and
it wasn't that long ago, but still ten is rare.
You know, before him, I think it was a decade.
I think you can get him, but we ain't gonna
talk about that and want to Jinks. Now, now to
keep playing your game, doing what you're doing. Talk about
your relationship with with the other guys in the secondary
(16:08):
because obviously my little bro key Sean Nixon is there.
Uh he's been there. Jay is one of the best
corners of the National Football League. Y'all, y'all, forming one
of the best secondaries in the league as quiet as
it's kept. You know, it's a lot of focus has
been on the quarterback and his injury, and you know,
Malik coming in and doing all that, But y'all been
playing some really good ball. Talk about your relationship with.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
Them, man, Our relationship is great.
Speaker 4 (16:32):
I think ever since I got here, like we started
building and we connected, like me, him and Jah, like
we connected like off the rip, and you could see it,
you know, when we're out there playing and you know
what I'm saying, we have like when it's Thursday night
football or something like that, we'll have you know what
I'm saying, get togethers at each other's houses and we're
(16:54):
all just kind of uy about and chill. But we
got a great connection with each other. And the crazy
part is, I was about it yesterday. It's like everybody
hasn't even all been healthy yet, and so like we
ain't we ain't really like hit, We ain't even hit
where we're supposed to hit yet.
Speaker 2 (17:09):
We ain't even really scratch the surface yet.
Speaker 4 (17:11):
And now that we're getting you know what I'm saying,
these rooks that have been playing well, once they get going,
it's gonna be scary. Man, and I really think we
got we got the best unit, you know what I'm
saying room collectively in the league, and I think it's
just gonna continue to improve and continue to show.
Speaker 2 (17:28):
But everything's been good. Man. We all on the same page.
Speaker 4 (17:32):
Obviously, were all around the same age, so we all
you know what I'm saying, We've got a lot of
things in coming and similar things.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
So it's been fun playing with these dudes. Man.
Speaker 4 (17:42):
They give me that you know, that energy, and we
feed off of each other like our energy is kind
of we all just feed off each other and we
push each other to be better in practices and meetings
in the game.
Speaker 2 (17:53):
So it's been fun playing with them for sure.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
That sounds like a great group. It really does. Is
a great leader. So I know it's Scott's lemon for y'all.
Talk to me about this young group of Why out
y'all have that's really dynamic read Watson, Romeo Dobbs. Yeah,
you have so much talent on that side of the ball,
but no real like true go to guys. It seems
like any given day any one of them can just
(18:17):
go off.
Speaker 2 (18:17):
Man.
Speaker 4 (18:18):
Man, bro when I when I first got here, and uh,
you know, we had our practices, like and even when
we started in camp, it was hard for me because
you know what I'm saying, it's the middlefield safety.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
A lot of times I'm looking for all, right, who
to go to? Who to go to? Guy?
Speaker 4 (18:34):
But ship they all getting the damn ball and they
all fast, they all run good routes.
Speaker 2 (18:41):
They all can catch the ball catch rady. This is crazy.
Speaker 4 (18:43):
So like it's tough like being able to you know,
like prepare against them, like because I know I'm doing
it in practice, but like in the games, you know,
it's different. So I know I'm knowing it's tough for opponents.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
Man.
Speaker 4 (18:55):
So I think for them, you know, obviously they're young
and they're still growing, but they're super talented and they
real close with each other, and uh, you know what
I'm saying, the sky's the limbit for them as well.
And I think they just don't continue to you know
what I'm saying, do it. They got to do to improve.
But yeah, it's tough, bro when when all of them,
you know what I'm saying, can can get the job done.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
So I know that's making it. You know, a lot
of pressure for these defenses.
Speaker 3 (19:22):
How is it seeing so many of your college teammates
in the league. You know, you you had Mac, you
had toa Wad or you had so many of these
guys that's playing and playing at a high level in
National Football League. Got to feel good when you see them,
to be like.
Speaker 2 (19:34):
Yeah, we do, hey, it do feel good for show,
you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (19:39):
We talk about it when we can, but we we
don't expect nothing less from each other, like we know,
you know what I'm saying, the cough that we that
we come from, and uh, we didn't been through that
grind with each other, and we didn't we didn't see
you know what I'm saying, the highs, and we didn't
seen the lows like we didn't.
Speaker 2 (19:55):
We didn't did that, you know what I'm saying before
with each other.
Speaker 4 (19:57):
So whenever something you know what I'm saying, happens, whether
they're it's good, it's bad. Like it's like a field thing,
we always know like all right, they're gonna he gonna
rise out there occasion, he gonna do this or he
gonna do that. So it's good just seeing everybody, you
know what I'm saying, be successful in their own ways.
And you know everybody still having fun with it and
just balling at the same time. Because, Bro, we got
(20:19):
I mean leave, we got some of the best, the
best guys, you know what I'm saying, in this league.
Speaker 2 (20:23):
So that's real good for us.
Speaker 3 (20:26):
We're you out there. I've been out there a couple
of times. I went out there for a Kiley surgery
and then obviously to play the Packers, and I think
it's like a is that like a red lobster or
something like that. It's like it's like a couple of
good pizza places, but it wasn't a lot of places
to go. What's your favorite place to go out there?
(20:47):
I ain't gonna lie, bro, it ain't a lot of places.
Speaker 4 (20:52):
Honestly, I don't be going nowhere, Bro, I don't be
going out to eat. It's it's a place that's right
next to my house. It's like it's called play eastro
so I say, like, that's the best spot I haven't
been to. But it ain't like how it was when
I was in New York, where you know what I'm saying.
I had a list of places that.
Speaker 2 (21:11):
I could just go at any given moment and be like,
oh yeah, this is great food.
Speaker 4 (21:15):
So it ain't a lot, but if I had to
say a place, that'll be the play betro player.
Speaker 3 (21:21):
Okay, yeah, your family out there with you.
Speaker 4 (21:25):
Now, my family they're not out here with me, but
they've been that they've been at pretty much all the game.
So they just try to stay, you know what I'm saying,
stay supporting me, and they always pretty much out here.
Speaker 3 (21:35):
Where's home for you?
Speaker 2 (21:38):
Georgia? Yeah, and Conyorge, Georgia.
Speaker 3 (21:41):
You boy, you got a house out there in Georgia.
Speaker 4 (21:45):
Yeah, no, I ain't got No, I ain't got no
crib out there. That's where my my mom and my
dad saying, my grandparents.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
My house is here, and I got a couple of
other other properties.
Speaker 3 (21:57):
Yeah you did you have like a condo or something
in New York?
Speaker 2 (22:02):
Yeah, I got the townhouse in New York. So yeah,
that's cool.
Speaker 3 (22:08):
That's cool. Now you get to it. Gotta feel good
to be able to just say I'm stopping here, but
I'm stopping at my house. I'm gonna stay there for
a couple of days. Go here.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
Thanks.
Speaker 4 (22:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (22:17):
Yeah, that's a big time. That's big time. Well, shoot,
I don't want to take too much of your time.
I know it's you off day and you got to
get some rest. If you got some questions for me
or anything you want to talk about all ears.
Speaker 4 (22:28):
For sure, for sure we're gonna have to uh we
get exchange numbers.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm gonna for sure.
Speaker 4 (22:34):
How to you know what I'm saying, pick your brain
on some stuff, bro, because I I used to watch
you know what I'm saying when y'all secondary the Seahawks.
Speaker 2 (22:43):
Hello, man, that that's what I'm trying to.
Speaker 4 (22:45):
We're trying to get our secondary just how y'all was,
So you know what I'm saying, I definitely would like
to get some you know what I'm saying, some porns
from you of how to you.
Speaker 2 (22:55):
Know what I'm saying get it to that level?
Speaker 3 (22:57):
Well, a lot of it is the stuff you talked about,
like our practice habits, where our practice habits holding each
other accountable is hanging out and spending time with one
another outside of this. You know. I mean, it's not
an obligation, but you got to care about the dudes
you're playing with. If you really want to get to
that level, you gotta you gotta you gotta show, you
gotta be at their wedding. You gotta you know what
I mean, You gotta know they kids. You got to
actually know these human beings. And then when you get
(23:19):
out there, you don't feel like you're playing with with
just teammates. You feel like you're playing with your family.
So then when when somebody make a mistake, because it's
not the positive moments you worry about. It's when somebody
when somebody mess up, somebody can hit for a deep
ball or or give up a touchdown or something. It's
always how you approach that and how you talking to
each other in moments like that. And it has to
be the same way you would talk to your brother
(23:39):
in those moments, not like man, what the f? What
the f you doing? Like it's like, hey, hey, I
know you better than that. Hey they didn't messed up. Now,
they even woke you up. Now we're about to show up. Now,
now they really about to get it, like y'all trying
my boy. You know what I mean. It's it's so
much different and so encouraging when you're talking that way
and as opposed to like like like you're just looking
at him like like come on, man, like you know
(24:02):
because you're gonna be in so many tough moments with
each other, and you need him just as much in
those tough moments as you need him in the good moments,
and nothing beneficials coming from like like getting pissed off
at him and then like going off on him. And
we hold ourselves to such a high standard. And I'll say,
Earl Thomas set the standard at practice every god Dame day.
That boy, if you watch his practice tape, you'd be like,
(24:24):
I see, I see exactly why he liked that. I mean,
full speed everywhere, walk through. I mean we in OTA's.
That's why we'd always lose draft picks and stuff and
OTAs because he plays very hard.
Speaker 2 (24:36):
He was the temple violator always.
Speaker 3 (24:40):
His tempo is the tempo and you better get to
it or you take him off the field. And so
when he's set in a tempo like that, it's on us.
He's set in the standard. We gotta match it. And
so now were going just as hard. Now it's like, hey,
if you don't want nobody getting hurt and you don't
want the tempo to be like that, take us out,
because we gonna be. We're gonna be at at ten.
(25:01):
It's not really we don't care who out there to
offense some seven seven year olds. I don't I don't
care who out there. They about to get full. Yeah,
And so when we talk about walkthroughs, it's it's perfection.
It's picked off. We're not letting a completion happen, and
we're not just batting into the ground. We're catching them
every single every single time, every single person, every single linebacker, everybody.
(25:23):
So the standards set across the board and we hold
each other accountable. We communicating hey, spot spot spot alert
the in and in in. Ain't nobody embarrassed to open
their mouths, close mouths, don't get fed. Sure, And so
it's just a lot of that consistency, and we had
coaches that held us accountable. You know, I have two
picks in the game, thinking I'm about to go in
the meetings and have a cool meeting, and all this
(25:44):
boy is showing me is the few plays where I
got beat or I gave up a catch, and you're like, look,
your technique sloppy here And if he would have saw this,
he would have got you here. And he's like, well,
can we get to the picks, Like, show me the books.
I swear I got to this game now we won
by forty, but it was humbling. You know. It kept
(26:06):
me humble, It kept it kept our group humble because
he did it to everybody, and it kept the other
guys in the room understanding that nobody's above coaching. Yeah,
like he coaching us just as hard as he coaching y'all.
No matter what how high we get, we ain't that high.
For sure.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
That's real. That's real. I appreciate that for sure.
Speaker 3 (26:25):
No, it's all love, brother, It's all love. And I
give you my number once we get offline and we
can connect and you text me whatever you need and
I got you.
Speaker 2 (26:32):
That's a bet. That is a bit.
Speaker 4 (26:34):
I appreciate your game, bro for having me on the
platform for shure n.
Speaker 3 (26:38):
I appreciate you, man. I'm a big fan of you,
and I'm happy to see you having the success you have.
I hope you go get ten more of them and
break the rect Yes, say, I appreciate that, Yes, sir, Yes, sir.
Have a good day. Take care of your body all.
Speaker 2 (26:50):
Right for sure.
Speaker 3 (26:51):
Good luck
Speaker 1 (27:11):
