Speaker 1 (00:22):
So pumped for the weekend. Hope you had a great
Thursday night. I hope you enjoyed the draft. Hope you
had a better time than Shador Sanders, because that's got
a few weirds. Then listen as he said, that's not
what we expected and not what we came here for.
You know, I got this whole party room for nothing.
But yeah, I hope you know was better than that.
If you take a listen to Shador himself.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
We all didn't expect this, of course, but I feel
like we gods anything possible, everything possible. I don't feel
like this happened, you know, for no reason. All this
is is of course feud to the fire, and under
no circumstances. We all know this going to happen, but
we understand we own.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
The bigger and better things.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
Tomorrow's the day.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Yep. We're gonna be happy to regard, give them, give
them fire.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
And here comes my song, Expect the unexpected.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
Give him that which he desires. Ooh yeah, Uh should
I say? There's obviously one of the big surprises. We're
gonna go over the things that made us go mmmm.
But I gotta give mascots credit. Just this is this
little quick one off. This morning at my kids school,
I volunteered to be the mascot for the big assembly.
Of course you did. Why would I not? I was
doing the Running Man all the kids. You don't The

(01:34):
kids want Danny g more than anything. What do you
think in twenty twenty five? I feel like you're already
like a real life mascot.

Speaker 4 (01:40):
Candy. They want to be left alone. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
True, but all the kids are.

Speaker 5 (01:45):
Ah, I won't Candy, Dino nuggets, they pens. These are
all great answers. Grasp mac and cheese, Minecraft movie. They
all want you to do the gritty. It's wild Like
I'm in there, I'm doing the Running Man. I came
out there dresses the Lion for my daughter's school.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Every kid's like the granny do it the gritty justin Jenny.
I had my daughter's friends tell me to do the
same thing. I said, no, you'd do it. You don't
tell me what to do. You nose pick or get
out of my face. Well, I mean, unlike you, I
don't do what you tell me to do. You're five,
beat it. I'm a man of the kids and people.
So and also I was in a costume, so I
was like, sure, so I was doing the gritty. I

(02:22):
was acting a fool, but uh hey, listen, these stupid
things you could do for your kids. They're only one,
they're only young ones, and they only think you're cool
for so long. So my message they do it take
these dumb opportunities. Guess what I could check off my
fool's bucket list. Mascot, you were dressed as an octopus,
big ass lion, Danny J. I was lying, and we

(02:45):
tell you could only breathe through the eyes. I was
thinking the whole time, like what if I pass out
and they're like, oh my god, the lion's dead.

Speaker 4 (02:52):
How appropriate?

Speaker 2 (02:53):
You're always lying.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
So not only that, I mean, if you really want
to give prompts to the mascots, it's not about you
doing the great and barely surviving because you couldn't breathe.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
It's about that.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
These mascots in today's game are super athletes. The mascots
in today's professional sports, for the most part, can do
amazing things, especially in the NBA. NBA mascots, these guys
are putting their lives at risk, the help their risk.
They're doing things that the average fella can't. Are you're
saying I wasn't doing flips into slam.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Dunks, That's no. And I remember back in the day.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
I used to know the guy that was Slide from
the Nets, Remember the Fox from the Nets, that mascot.
I would hear stories all the time about how much
they put their body through and how hard it is
to actually get that gig. You have to be a
next level performer and athlete to actually be a professional
mascot on that level. I totally forgot when you used
to hang out with Slide the mascot that was your

(03:47):
stage when you were into like furries, right. I mean,
it was a weird phase at all, but yeah, I
used to roll it. Fact I used to roll it
all the mascots. I walked in one time and Cavino
was like, get out of here, Mike, and he was
with Otto the orange.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
It's very straight.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
Do you remember the best mascot episode ever in the NBA.
I think it was twenty thirteen when Rocky was lowered
down from the rafters and he had a medical situation.
He collapsed and the Nugget girls, the dancer still danced
around him in a circle.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Hit around his limp body, lifeless body. So shout out to.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
All the mascots anyone that ever did in a high
school college. I feel like I feel like I burned
a thousand calories easy just bouncing around and dancing in
this suit and it's so hot and you can't breathe well,
so hey, props again. And I did have some missus
Matt fantasies when I was in that costume.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
He was, oh, what a smell like him?

Speaker 4 (04:41):
There?

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Not bet that you know. I lucked out.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
The school got a new mascot costume at the end
of last year because I can only imagine some of
them are dank.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
I heard they smell like hot farts, Is that true
of many of them?

Speaker 4 (04:52):
Proud to wash those I think to go to send
him to dry cleaning.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
And I don't think you put that in the washing machine.
New New So that was Rich's morning. If that was,
it's hard to follow. He was the school mascot at
his kids grade school this morning, for the morning the
Friday morning assembly. Yea, and my daughter. People are asked,
did your kids know? I gave my daughter two hints.
I said, assembly and handshake. There's gonna be something funny.

(05:16):
She's like, what So she won an award and the
mascot always high fives of kids, but instead of a
high five, I did our like softball handshake, and she
looked like, wait a.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Minute, wait a second.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
So let me ask you this since you're talking about it,
before we get into things you made that made you
go hmmm, NFL Draft edition, this was your first time
playing mascot for the kids. You think you did a
better job than other parents that were previously the mascot.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Is that what you're saying? I feel like that's what
you getting.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
What I really want to say is I could only
imagine they felt so inadequate. What makes you think that
you were so much better? My gritty, my running mask.
But if it's a liberating sort of thing, like a
freeing sort of thing where everyone just has to be,
there's there's silly selves. You're saying you're best at it?
Do you know the things that you want to really
do as yourself?

Speaker 2 (06:08):
That's what I mean.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
If everyone feels that way, Rich, come on do the gritty.
I feel embarrassed, like I don't know, guys, do I
want to do? I look, so you're in the costume, right, Yeah,
it's a mascot. You can just be a goof. But
that's my point. If he felt the freedom to be
even goofier than he already is, doesn't that seem apply
to every parent that's done it previous?

Speaker 2 (06:30):
I don't.

Speaker 4 (06:31):
I don't have.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
At best mascot in the valley. That's why.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
So what I'm asking is, I'm not saying you weren't better.
I'm saying what made you better?

Speaker 2 (06:38):
I already got.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Calls people saying, hey, you want to be the Dinosaur Universal.
I'm like, no, no, can do I'm busy. I'm busy.
I was asked, do you want to be optimist Prime?
I said, sorry, guys, can't. Man can't do it. We
know you already compete with him as a coach. Better mascot.
You are Gottlieb.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
Come on, come on, give me freak.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
So that was Rich's morning mind man, just lamping, dude lamping,
enjoying the glorious Friday, getting ready for the weekend, watching
WATS lots of highlights from last night. Of course, So
yesterday got home, I dvred the Draft and can I
tell you, you know, there's times where there's certain things
that are so great DVRD. You mean you didn't have
to sit through the long ass walk that each player

(07:18):
had to make. I did like how some of them
tap their logo of the team and some gave a
little more, a little more style when they tried on
the hat in the mirror.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
I thought that was cool. Lids had to set up.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
But Kyler Booker really leaned into for the Cowboys. Yeah,
that was cool. I'm gonna tell you this, And man
he was Yeah, but he hit the logo real nice,
you know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (07:39):
Think about it?

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Alabama to the Cowboys like those are two. You know,
he's played for some legendary places. Now my thought is this,
before you get into all the things that made you
go hmm, the NFL Draft might be the best programming
to DVR.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
By far.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
I got home about an hour into the draft. I
turned my phone off, I turns on silent and I
told my wife DVR the draft. I'm a baseball practice
with my kid. No one, no parents said anything to me.
The ability and freedom to start that an hour and
fifteen minutes later and be like, I'm the first pick.
Once I watched them all walk down the aisle, I

(08:18):
watched them hold up to jersey and that was like
fast word, fastward, fastward force. The pick is in press play, dude.
It was amazing. I recommend everyone do it in the future.
A baseball game, a condensed version of a baseball game
is always kind of fun too. I mean, I like
sitting through a baseball game a manageable two hours nowadays
two hours plus. But if you happen to miss it

(08:39):
and you watched a condensed version at the MLB app offers,
that's pretty cool because it just cuts out all the fat.
That's what my dad does for s n Y and
the Mets. A lot of times, he'll be watching some
nonsense with his wife and when she goes to Betty's like, oh,
I'll turn on the Mets and he'll watch.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
It's like they trim it downs like an hour. I'm
trying to think of what else would be good.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
Uh, like uh, maybe some sort of pageant fast forward
look for the bikini part, yeah, and then see who wins.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
That was fun. You know, it's a good thing to DVR.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
The Bachelor because there's a lot of nonsense downtime on
a date with someone you don't care about, and you're
like your fast forward it's a three hour shell. So
how about smut? Sometimes you're just looking for the good parts?
What's the good point? Why do you tell room? I'm
just that that's case by case. Why don't you depends
on what your thing is?

Speaker 2 (09:26):
I guess, So let's get into it.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
I was Sam He broke out the football sound effects
every football season.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
We do it on Mondays. Things that make you go,
things that make you.

Speaker 4 (09:39):
Go, things that make your goal.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
NFL Draft Edition, your thoughts, your observations. There's no wrong answer,
there's no wrong phone calls. It's anything you took in yesterday.
This is where we get you involved. We do it,
like Rich said, throughout the football season, we do it
today special edition as it continue eight seven, seven ninety
nine out Fox What stood out to you? It doesn't

(10:04):
necessarily have to be about the pick or the surprise,
but maybe just a weird observation like, I'll start off
with one. It's an obvious one, but it did happen.
Did you see.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
When Roger Goodell came out on a bicycle? Could we
start there? No? But I love.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
How gleaming white his kicks were. I didn't notice that
he was rocking some shoe white last night. Those were mint.
But did you notice how long that walk was? I
did mention that our boy Jack Mack said it looked
like they were in a furniture store. It did look

(10:43):
like they were in a furniture warehouse, just sitting there.
But that walk reason to fast forward. It was a
long walk. It was like, man, you know, that was
very noticeable. I didn't notice that when the bikes were
all lined up on stage. Did you notice that the
bike James Jones was on was wobbling? He was having
trouble balancing it.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
It's hard to ride a bike slow.

Speaker 4 (11:05):
It's hard. They were kind of getting into a circle,
and I was like, something's bads might happen here and.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
They all tip over, like the motorcycles and Pee Wee's
Big Adventure. Yeah, so all right, Goodell's gleaming white sneakers
came out on a bike now Bear.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
Bears fans had to laugh at it.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
I thought it was really cool when Clay Matthews had
the oh, I have a letter from the President and
it's just a total diss at the Bears. Atle prank
I enjoyed it straight from President Trump. The Bear still
suck my.

Speaker 4 (11:38):
Fellow Americans, and we're like, oh, this is a real.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
Letter from Trump himself.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
Now, Cavino pick number one was the obvious one, cam Ward,
and then the fireworks that have started from there because
we have a trade and we saw Jacksonville move up,
and I feel like they gave up quite a bit
to get that number two pick. So I ask everyone
in the room, Dan Byer, good to see my friend

(12:04):
Danny g I was Sam Covino on Rich Spotty. If
you're Travis Hunter, is Jacksonville much better than Cleveland? Where
would you prefer historically to play? I feel like Jacksonville's
trying to build something now with new new leadership.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
But where would you rather play, Dan Buyer.

Speaker 6 (12:20):
I think that it's the opposite of historically, and that's
why I think it was so important for the Jaguars,
because again we know about the Jaguars in London, They're
not going to be moving to London.

Speaker 4 (12:32):
It's not going to happen.

Speaker 6 (12:33):
They're going to be building basically a brand new stadium
on the side of the current stadium. So the Jaguars
are in Jacksonville for a long time. But they needed
a star like Trevor Lawrence did not cross over into
that first overall pick quarterback superstar in the NFL, and
so I think it was value to Jacksonville to have
what could be possibly the next superstar in the NFL,

(12:56):
no doubt, on their team, and.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
You know it could elevate Trevor Lawrence's game. I think
so as well.

Speaker 6 (13:01):
And it also is a commitment to Trevor Lawrence because
you give up a first round pick in a draft
next year that we think is going to be pretty
good with quarterbacks, and he's got that long contract, so
there would be a heavy cap number. But remember in
February we were dissecting that Steelers Trevor Lawrence rumor, so
it wasn't out of the realm of possibility that Jacksonville
would want to move on. I think that that move

(13:22):
said a lot of things about what Jacksonville wants, where
they're going, and what they want to be.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
And I think Carino, is it safe to say, for
the first time in a long time, because of Travis
Hunter and maybe Trevor Lawrence, that's a little rejuveinated Jacksonville
will be exciting to watch this year. That you're gonna
have another reason to watch Jacksonville.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
Without a doubt. And I think that's why they made
this move.

Speaker 1 (13:43):
And you know, great analysis, dB, But what I took
away from it two was how excited he was to
say he wanted to play in Florida. He seemed pumped
about it, genuinely excited breaking out the dude, he leaned
right into it.

Speaker 5 (13:57):
Take a listen, Well, let this this is actually a
little mashup of Liam Cohen doing duval from what a
few months ago, and then then Travis Hunter.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
Nice Dudevall.

Speaker 4 (14:09):
I just did my best Duvall back there. But I
got you do.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
Yeah, immediately embraced Florida, and you know, his excitement I
thought was contagious. I have to also mention that Neon
pink jacket he was rocking last night looking hot. He
was looking like Kelvin Washington. I saw him wearing a
pink jacket similar recently. But yeah, man, I was a
cool pick and a very very surprising one.

Speaker 4 (14:36):
And how about him taking the call while Lil Wayne
was standing right next to him?

Speaker 2 (14:41):
That was cool.

Speaker 4 (14:42):
Picture looks like he's a little Wayne and Son. It's great.
But the other thing, we watched a lot of Buffs football,
tons of the country did because of Dion Sanders. The
one thing about Travis Hunter, you just got to hit
him accurately with a short pass. He'll do the rest
of the work. Yeah, So this should be easy money
for Trevor Lawrence.

Speaker 2 (14:59):
Should be interesting.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Jack seemed to be committed to giving him an opportunity
to play both sides of the ball in some capacity.
So again makes Jacksonville a hell of a lot more exciting.
Now where do you go from there?

Speaker 5 (15:11):
I was saying, well, can I before we get past
the second pick in the trade? Me and Jason were
talking about this, and we talked about this on Doug Show,
that cam Ward was completely eclipsed by the trade. He
was given no shine And it's like, yeah, we might
have assumed he was gonna be the first overall pick,
but I've been told that that trade between Cleveland and
Jacksonville was in the works for weeks. So It's like

(15:32):
they could have waited a few minutes and given cam
Ward more of the time he deserved as the number
one overall pick.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
It didn't.

Speaker 5 (15:39):
He was like he got forty five seconds and then
you know, Adam Schefter was off geeking out and stuff.

Speaker 4 (15:43):
So I don't know.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
I thought, like, that's another great observation. No one's talking
about kat Moore today. You're right, when all said and done,
everyone's gonna remember that cam Ward was the number one pick.
But you're right, that was the big story. The bigger
story was the Cleveland flower To trade.

Speaker 4 (16:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (16:01):
The other the other thing that I would say to
that is we've known cam Ward's going to be the
pick for about the last couple of weeks, So it
is there is drama with all of this, and there
wasn't a lot of drama. And I felt that even
though to Sam's point, if the trade was in the
works for a couple of weeks, it happened last night
and so that's what was going on. So as you

(16:24):
just said, cam Woard's gonna have a great career and
it's going to be a footnote that he didn't get
his five minute highlight package. I'd be more mad that
if they were, you know, talking about Shude or Sanders
and why he didn't go at two or three or
whatever instead of talking about cam Ward. But in reality,
I'm not heard about cam.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
Ward's funny two your point, guys, I made my notes.
Cavino has his notes. Do you have cam Ward written anywhere?

Speaker 4 (16:48):
I do.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
Oh, I have a whole list of my observations, and
I do not have the name cam.

Speaker 4 (16:53):
Ward on my list.

Speaker 1 (16:54):
You know, like when I made reference to him being
the first pick and props to him and the Titans,
that's really it.

Speaker 4 (17:00):
He did become a meme, though. There was one meme
that floated around right away because of the lack of
flash how he just looked clean with the little chain,
and the meme said, no flashy jewelry, no flashy suit,
no flashy girlfriend hogging the attention, just a regular suit,
thin Chaine Alma mater pin and his parents by his side.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
That's kind of cool.

Speaker 4 (17:20):
How clean he looked.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
That's kind of cool.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
You stand out by not being flashy at a moment
like this, that's kind of cool. I respect that I
have a ton more observations than I know Cavino does
as well. But if you want to talk about style,
as they say, drip. We said it before we even
got off the air yesterday. I knew social media would
rip apart Adam Schefter's odd suit hoodie combination.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
It was noticeable and I got it. It was old chili.
He even matched it. But I knew it the.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
Minute I saw him, Like, oh, like you know, fifty
something or a white guy trying to wear like the
hoodie suit combo. No, but I know why we recognize
this stuff. A because we have eyes, but b because
it's such a big knife. And these are lasting images,
right allah, the Brett Farvr situation where he's there and
his wranglers in his shorts, like, these are lasting images
in our minds. So on a big night like this,

(18:10):
you can't help but notice what people are rocking and
what they're doing and the actual choice that he made
so he chose to do that. Granted it was probably chilly.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
I get it.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
Maybe it was a last minute thing, but it's hard
for you, as the guy watching on such a big
night not to notice that. Silly as it sounds, well,
if you want to chime in, we got plenty more
to talk about with the NFL Draft because I mean
Night two, for the first time in a while, there's
some quarterbacks and some players that were not taken yesterday
that I think it's more incentive to actually pay attention tonight.

(18:40):
I don't know the last time I was this pulled
in for Night two of the draft, wasn't it Joe
Shane's son who last year said go Jaden Daniels He didn't,
And then this year he said, Jackson Dark dad, And
what did we get Jackson Dart Dad?

Speaker 2 (18:56):
Yeah? How cool was that?

Speaker 1 (18:58):
And I do think that, Like I said, Giants fans
were pumped about it, and I was pumped for friends
of mine. I have a lot of Giants friends who
wanted that to happen. So I was pumped for him
and pumped for my friends. And when Ashton Genty went
to the Raiders, I was super pumped for you, Danny
g because last year you wanted Pennix Junior and you

(19:20):
got Hoes, But this time you got what you wanted.
So you know, I was pumped for you, and I
was pumped for him. You know what, when you hear
the first syllable of someone's name and you know it's
not I was when the Jags and well.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
They traded up.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
But when the Patriots did not go with genty when
they're like and their pick is and I didn't hear ash.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
I was like, Danny, g's gotta be segned up.

Speaker 4 (19:41):
Like we talked about on the show yesterday. I didn't
think the Patriots were gonna go running back, but I
did think when the Jack said we're gonna make a splash,
I thought that they were going to stand in the
way at five. So once they traded up to two.
Scott Shapiro was here in the main studio and he
looked at me and he's like, clear path now, And
I was like, clear path, dude.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
I thought of you, Danny, only because you and a
lot of Raiders fans I know, wanted gent And I'm
not want to make predictions like cool, this guy's gonna
but with Pete Carroll running that team and he is
run heavy what he did with Marshawn Lynch, A lot
of people pointed this out.

Speaker 4 (20:12):
And don't forget Chip Kelly now the OC he loves
to run the ball.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
And this could be like a perfect scenario for this kid.

Speaker 1 (20:18):
It's perfect because Gino Smith, you know, he could throw
and he could run and you got this guy there too, so.

Speaker 4 (20:25):
And Gino's best. I think TV would back me up
on this. I think Gino is better suited for play
action when he's got a good runner next to him.
That's when he's most effective.

Speaker 6 (20:35):
Absolutely, Seahawks just could ever get anybody healthy enough to
turnin to stay on the field.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
Kenth Walker is good for twelve games. But yeah, I agreed,
I know who my favorite was.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
I don't want to skip too far ahead, but towards
the end of the first round, when the Buffalo Bills
picked Maxwell Harriston, this is the guy that was like
loving and hugging and bro hugging everyone his enthusiasm. Not
to sound like you know, emo boy, I got a
little emotional. My wife's like you, I'm like this kid,
I'm so happy for him. I don't even i don't
know a thing about him, but his enthusiasm was contagious.

Speaker 3 (21:06):
You have hugged every single prospect that has been called
before you tonight.

Speaker 2 (21:10):
Now it is your moment.

Speaker 6 (21:12):
How does it feel to trade Kentucky blue in for
Buffalo Blue man is?

Speaker 2 (21:17):
I can't believe it's going on right now?

Speaker 3 (21:18):
I got also, thankfu, I'm so pleased man, I'm so
happy to hear my name cars.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
Truly a dream Coachu. I give all thanks to God
and your family.

Speaker 6 (21:27):
You love them so much, you are wearing them with
your heart and soul.

Speaker 2 (21:31):
Tonight show us your jack everywhere.

Speaker 7 (21:32):
They with me everywhere I go.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
I love my family, man, my biggest support system.

Speaker 6 (21:38):
Congratulations and Western New York's gonna love you.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
Let's get the work Bufalow.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
Yeah, you gotta love the reaction and the emotion. And
you know it's for their family. It's the hard work
they put in, and it's that little kid they once
were and making that dream come true. And you heard
that throughout the night. And that's what makes you so fun.
No doubt your observation. You want to go to the phone?

Speaker 2 (22:00):
Yea, Let's do it.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox ninety nine on
Fox Any observation from last night Our NFL Draft edition of.

Speaker 2 (22:10):
Things that made You go Well.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
We are live from the Fox Sports Radio studio And
for over forty years, ty Iraq has been helping customers
find the right tires for how, what and where they drive.
Ship Fast and Free back by Free Road has a
protection and convenient installation options like mobile tire installation. Okay,
so before we go to the phones, I do want
to point out a very viral moment that I'm sure
you're so over and over against. I'll get this out
of the way offensive linemen from Texas Kevin Banks June

(22:36):
Calvin Banks. I'm sorry, no, Kevin, isn't it Kevin Kelvin
Kelvin Banks. Kelvin Banks Junior gets drafted by the Saints
and his a little baby at the shot so good
and immediately the little baby throws up and everyone's zooming
in on it. It goes viral and that was definitely
a big moment because you're like, yeah, they're in the

(22:56):
middle of all the fun that happens.

Speaker 2 (22:58):
People are like, is it because it's the Saints.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
Help my uh My wife was the first to point
that out, because you know, I'm watching the bigger picture.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
She's like, oh, cute baby.

Speaker 1 (23:08):
She has baby fever and I'm like, no, we're not
having a third. So she's like, oh, look at the
baby and she's she's like didn't you see that. I'm like,
see what you rewind ie it until you know it
went viral on social media.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
Baby probably just had a bottle.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
I'm not saying they shook the baby, but the excitement
in the excite with the excitement, just just moving a
baby like that around. Aside that little we've all had
kids that little spit out.

Speaker 4 (23:31):
It's not like the Exorcist, Linda Bleir, No, it was
rejectile vomiting.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
He was a little spit up here. So hard to
miss that one.

Speaker 1 (23:36):
But really, you know, as you always talk about, those
are the moments that the family will talk about forever.
That kid's gonna be grown up and the stories be
like and then when your dad got drafted you threw
up all that's gonna be the family story. All right,
Let's go to Jeff and Marilyn. Jeff, you're on with
seeing our Hey Jeff.

Speaker 8 (23:53):
Hey Fellows.

Speaker 7 (23:54):
I think it's hilarious.

Speaker 8 (23:56):
Goodell probably not. He's sort of a skin he's sort
of a frail guy. I don't think he's too big.
But one of observations I had was these big bear
hugs that come out and just just trap him like
he's almost like a rag doll where his head goes
right into the almost their belly, like I would break
trevl vertebrate.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
Let me tell you, he gets there.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
He gets picked up, tossed out and some of these
intense like handshake into bro hugs like those are not
gentle like I guarantee at the end of the night, he's.

Speaker 5 (24:26):
Like Day, who's a twenty seventh. I think he gave
him that long long he picked him up. He gave
him the old spine stretch. I don't know, Dan, if
you uh, I don't let me get my charts out
later in the draft, but in the first round. But
he really held on to him for a long time.
Like stars, he was starks. Yeah, it was yep, and
he was joyful about it too.

Speaker 2 (24:46):
What else do we got, David in Texas? What's up? Daved?

Speaker 7 (24:49):
Ed?

Speaker 9 (24:51):
Hey, how's it going? I got two? I got two things. Man,
you stole my thunder with the with the bills pick,
but I'll send you this other one. When the guy
were joking around on stage, Saban wasn't laughing much too
much at all and stuff like that. So that's one
thing observation I took. And the other one I want
to send out my love to the Vicksburgh Cedar Pick.

(25:12):
His mom died all respects. God's taking care of her.

Speaker 1 (25:15):
Piece out guys, Yeah, is he talking Derek Derek Harmon, Yeah,
Derek Harmon. You know what's interesting about that pick too,
is this clear that they went defensive tackle, so they
totally passed on a QB, which means they're leaving it
open for Aaron Rodgers. That that's what makes you go hmm,
that's the biggest story there. It's like, really, they're they're

(25:36):
really banking on Rogers. They must have a lot more
confidence than than we as fans do. Well, that's how
you know what he has left.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
That's how you know.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
Could you know that a Aaron Rodgers is in the mix?
And also absolutely that Shadoor who's rubbing people the wrong way?

Speaker 2 (25:52):
Those are the moments.

Speaker 1 (25:53):
There were two times where I told my wife, who
was like half aass paying attention, like Babe, babe, come here,
I think it's gonna happen. And when the Saints passed
him early, I'm like, oh, then he might go to
twenty one the Steelers. And then when the Steelers you
heard a different again. It's like when the Academy Awards,
when you hear the first syllable the first name and
it wasn't should You're like, oh my god, Yeah, congratsate
Derek harmon of Oregon. So you have to imagine that now. Yeah,

(26:17):
that that's happened. We're going to get a Rogers update
any minute. Not only a Rodgers update. I think there's
still the big surprise tonight. Cove you like, who will
want Shador Sanders?

Speaker 4 (26:28):
Yeah? In fact, even President Trump has weighed in on Sanders.
You want me to read it really quick.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
I love you to read it.

Speaker 4 (26:35):
What is wrong with NFL owners? Are they stupid? Dion
Sanders was a great college football player and was even
greater in the NFL. He's also a very good coach,
street wise and smart. Therefore, Shador, his quarterback son, has
phenomenal genes and is all set for greatness. Trump wrote
in a truth social post he should be picked immediately

(26:56):
by a team that wants to win all capitals. Good luck,
should do and say hello to your wonderful father.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
Well, like we said fuel to the fire, as he said,
fuel to the fire. Legendary. But he sort of got
what he deserved last night, meaning some humility. It had
to be really embarrassing for the kid to not go
last night, and that was his big biggest criticism is
that maybe he's a little too cocky. So maybe he
puts them where he needs to be. Well, we got

(27:23):
more observations, but it's time for Dan Bayer. In an update, dB,
as we get into night two of the draft, we
got adn't be a playoff.

Speaker 2 (27:30):
I'm sure a lot on your play today.

Speaker 6 (27:31):
Up, Dan Brown's are on the clock at number thirty
three overall to start that second round.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
Texans and Titans will follow it.

Speaker 6 (27:37):
All gets resumes coming up at seven o'clock Easter a time,
second and third rounds taking place tonight. Former Vikings running
back Adrian Peterson was arrested on DUI chargers earlier this
morning in Minnesota following a team draft party. Peterson was
allegedly going eighty three and a fifty five miles per
hour zone breathalyzer test came in at point one four.
The legal limit in Minnesota is zero point h eight.

(28:00):
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says the NFL triple header on
Christmas Day will likely be a permanent thing. Made the
comments to the Pat McAfee show. Also said that the
Thanksgiving Day games will alter kickoff times, so that Lions
game that started at twelve thirty Eastern different than everything.
Likely we'll go to a one o'clock eastern time kick
like we're so used to on Sundays. But I did

(28:22):
like the twelve thirty eastern. I thought there was something
funky about it. I did appreciate it.

Speaker 4 (28:26):
Woke up.

Speaker 2 (28:27):
Turn the game right out on the West Coast.

Speaker 6 (28:29):
Absolutely early starts of the day, but the more traditional
window for Thanksgiving.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
Kids, turn off the parade time for.

Speaker 6 (28:36):
Exactly sorry Macy's Jason Hansen's about to kick off. The
other note from the NFL is that Roger Goodell did
tell the Pat mcavie Show they may look into shortening
the time frame for first round picks.

Speaker 1 (28:55):
The Jags moved up to number two in a trade
with the Browns to grab the Heisman winner, who they
said it's capable of transforming their franchise and even the
sport of foot.

Speaker 2 (29:03):
Oh, there you go. Take a listen with the.

Speaker 4 (29:07):
Second pig in the two NFL draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars
select Travis Hunter wide receiver. Yeah, from Colorado.

Speaker 1 (29:23):
It's gonna be fun to watch Hunter on both sides
of the ball. That's our tire rack play of the day.
And I said, I have my favorite meme because there's
so many good ones. I feel like I don't know
who makes all these memes because they don't get credit.

Speaker 2 (29:35):
They you just you see one you reposted. There's it's
like the internet.

Speaker 1 (29:39):
You used to say, who uploads all these like old
school TV clips and themes?

Speaker 2 (29:44):
I still wonder who did that? Who is the kind
soul that does that and gets nothing in return? No one, well,
no one gets credit.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
My favorite meme is shod Or Sandser's face photoshopped over
Will Smith on Fresh Prince hugging Doctor Uncle Phil come
in and want me man, Well, that's the best one
I've seen. Because it doesn't matter who your daddy is.
In the NFL, spot was talking about that, it's not
the NBA. NFL is much different. You know, I respect

(30:11):
what Trump said. I think it's kind of funny, right,
what are you crazy not draft Inshaudor? But it doesn't
matter how great his dad.

Speaker 5 (30:18):
It sounded like he wanted teams to draft don and
it did right, Yeah, like his dad was so great.

Speaker 1 (30:24):
Well, you know what, maybe his son rubbed people the
wrong way in the interviews.

Speaker 2 (30:28):
That's what we discussed yesterday on the show.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
We've all seen the Trump kids. But by the way,
other than other than Trump. There were a lot of
people that were shocked. I feel like the most shocked
person was if you did watch it on ESPN, that
wasn't a vampire, it was mel Kuiper. And mel Kiper
the whole time had him at number one, my number
one quarterback on the board al and I guess they
picked cam Ward. But then when Jackson Dart was chosen

(30:51):
and traded up for I think mel Kiper blew a
gas ket inside. He's like stunned by this. So and
then he started say, well Brady was chosen White, brought
Perty was chosen Light. Then he started rattling off guys
that were chosen late. Mel Kuiper doesn't get it.

Speaker 5 (31:06):
This is what he does year round though, like and
so he builds up through the entire year up to
this day and then his pick, his analysis is completely
blown up. So it makes him look kind of bad.

Speaker 1 (31:16):
Well, speaking of people that we were watching aside from
the players like mel Kuiper, can I just shout out
Field Yates and his flow and his salad. I saw
him in Scott van Pelt talking about it. But here's
what stood out to me. Okay, so he has this
full on flow going on and he saw his mane.
He's got like a Kenny Maine. He's got new hair right,
and Van Pelt's like, I didn't hear a word you

(31:38):
said because I was just admiring the flow. And he said,
thanks SVP. I've been letting it grow since December. And
I'm thinking to myself, he's been growing that hair for
five months, Like my hair would be down. I think
down to my shoulder. You Looklay Matthews, you would look
like the Voto Matthews.

Speaker 2 (31:55):
But I didn't cut my hair for five months. Dude,
like Danny Treo.

Speaker 1 (31:58):
I just can't believe how answering me, like, like he
hasn't croomed it in five months. If I didn't come
here in five months, it just would look it would
look bad?

Speaker 4 (32:06):
Do it?

Speaker 1 (32:08):
I was Sam, I would Sam, how would your hair
like if you didn't cut it for five months?

Speaker 5 (32:11):
I go, I go six months between haircut.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
You know what, I swear you had a Bob Ross
thing for a while.

Speaker 4 (32:17):
I know I do.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
So you know the fact that he says he hadn't
cut it since December. It did stick out to me
because I'm like, every two weeks you see a lot,
a lot of black guys and Latino guys that have
more than fade. Look, two weeks, maybe I get a
monthly spot, monthly haircut.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
Maybe every month.

Speaker 1 (32:34):
Yeah, if I go six weeks, that's a lot of time, shaggy,
That's what I'm saying. So I mean the artist, he
has to trim up his neck a little bit or something.
Five months good for Field the Eights. He was looking handsome,
Sean in sack Town. What you got man, NFL draft?

Speaker 4 (32:47):
Go ahead?

Speaker 7 (32:49):
Yeah, my favorite trio on the radio. I am over
here dying at the low opening story about Rich being
a mascot. Man. Look, it took me back to my
days at Chuck E Cheese at Arnt and Fair Mall
up here in Sacramento. Man, the dopest Chucky in the
building for all the same reasons. Goofy as hell had
a little herbal remedy going before I even got in

(33:10):
the suit. So you know it's gonna be hilarious. So
keep doing what you're doing, Rich, take maybe take a
little edible unlock even more greatness for them kids out there.

Speaker 8 (33:18):
Man, But as far as well, you know.

Speaker 1 (33:20):
What, hold on, Sean, hold on, We got a break.
But I want to hear from you as always, absolutely
hang tight and no Chador, which we're going to talk
about in a minute. But what else we got here
to wrap it up? We got Sean in Sacktown. Sean,
what's up my friend?

Speaker 7 (33:34):
Just real quick, Fellas man, thank you for kicking me
off through a break too real quick. I think you
guys can't huck enough. How great Danny G's Raiders have
had this offseason, man. I thought picking up John Ty
was a perfect ad, and I know a lot of
my Raider buddies up here in Norcow were just relieved
they didn't reach with Shador Sanders, which would be a
total Raider thing to do in the past. So you
got Pete Carroll, you get an O line up there,

(33:56):
and I think they got to make it for a
little playoff underdog this year. Fellas, y'all keep it, y'all, keep.

Speaker 4 (34:01):
Me rocking, man.

Speaker 7 (34:02):
I'll be up here with Rob Parker catching the as game.

Speaker 2 (34:04):
Man.

Speaker 7 (34:04):
We're reporting back on Monday.

Speaker 1 (34:06):
Nice, So that's a great place to check out a game,
So enjoy uh genty to the Raiders.

Speaker 2 (34:10):
I think that's a great fit and a great.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
Night for the short Kings. Because what is he like?
Five to nine tops. He's a small dude man, but
he's built like a brick. I mean, I'm just repeating
what Danny said months ago, but it's so true. You
said he's he's he's ripped like DK Metcalf, but tiny
like he's like.

Speaker 4 (34:31):
They said the way it was described to me. If
you know who Napoleon Kauffman, former Raider running back super fast, right, yeah,
he has that speed, but then like Bo Jackson, he
could run guys over because he's so cut and big.
So even though he's a short guy compared to other
NFL players, that doesn't show on the field. Man, he's
like a Saquon Barkley type freak.

Speaker 1 (34:52):
Like Cove said, a big night for short kings. I
did think it was cool, though. You know a lot
of times when there's like product placement, you roll your
eyes and like I look at this trash, I get
it's like eye roll.

Speaker 4 (35:01):
Ye.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
Yeah, I thought the lid's mirror was a cool thing.
I did.

Speaker 1 (35:04):
I thought it was a really cool way to incorporate,
you know how on like red carpet sometimes you'll have
like the shoecam and women are like, what shoe.

Speaker 2 (35:12):
Was she wearing?

Speaker 1 (35:13):
Watching the guys grab the hat, they changed the logo
of the pedestal, and just watching the guy smile putting
on his new hat. I thought that was a really
cool I guess you would say, natural way to incorporate
a sponsor, incorporate the sponsor, but also see a little
signe of their personality. I think that's how they put
on their hat, ye, and how happy they really were,
you know, yeah, added some fun.

Speaker 2 (35:33):
Too, for sure.

Speaker 1 (35:34):
Speaking of happy, I thought another observation the fans of
Green Bay that were there when Matthew Golden got picked.
I thought the owner the fact that he admitted, like,
for the first time in like decades, we went with
a wide receiver, wide receiver receive you take a listen.

Speaker 9 (35:54):
With a twenty third pick in the twenty twenty five NFL.

Speaker 6 (35:58):
Draft, the third time world champion Green.

Speaker 2 (36:02):
Bay Packers for the first time.

Speaker 4 (36:06):
Since two thousand and two raft.

Speaker 2 (36:09):
The wide receiver Matthew Golden.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
I don't know, And at that point Aaron Rodgers was like, yeah,
I know, for the first time since two thousand you know.

Speaker 5 (36:18):
Also happened at that point, like three fourths of the
crowd left because they're all like local packer fans like,
it's going about ten o'clock.

Speaker 4 (36:25):
Now, we got to get up for work tomorrow, so
we're gonna head out.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
I thought the I thought the cool part of that
was when he then grabbed the mic and he's like, Yo,
we're gonna.

Speaker 2 (36:34):
Say green Bay on three?

Speaker 4 (36:35):
Are you ready? One? Two, three?

Speaker 2 (36:36):
In the whole crowd? Green Bay. So, I mean, it's
got to be.

Speaker 1 (36:39):
Cool to be drafted in the home, in the home stadium,
in the home city, no doubt.

Speaker 2 (36:45):
Yeah. Absolutely. It doesn't get bigger than that. So a
big night.

Speaker 1 (36:49):
Lives were changed, as we discussed yesterday, the franchises, stars
were changed, as I didn't see any There was no girlfriend,
you know, I thought so much.

Speaker 4 (37:02):
I thought, oh, there was a w NBA player that
was with Pierce supporting him.

Speaker 2 (37:07):
But yeah, I thought, uh, hey, maybe I'm into like
middle aged women.

Speaker 4 (37:10):
Now.

Speaker 2 (37:10):
I thought Jackson Dart's mom was in great shape for
a mom. Did you see her?

Speaker 1 (37:14):
Was that his mom who looks like she was like
miss crussfit? Did you see her?

Speaker 2 (37:18):
I did?

Speaker 4 (37:19):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (37:19):
I assume. I assume its right, but I don't know
for sure. Clear the family stays in shape. Yeah, I
assumed his dad was the bald guy and the mom
was the like the in shape woman.

Speaker 2 (37:29):
I could be wrong.

Speaker 1 (37:30):
What did you notice about Shador in his body language?
I think he everything he said afterward, I respect it.
He wasn't pounting about anything, which was nice, you know,
but it had to be embarrassing for him and the family.
Well as you say humbleness and then your mom will
correct you and say, Steven, you idiot, it's humility, maybe,

(37:51):
I said, But maybe that's what he needs. Maybe that's
a blessing in disguise. Colin Cowherd on The Herd today,
who you know the face of our network?

Speaker 4 (37:59):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (38:00):
I think we can only do with my stars.

Speaker 1 (38:03):
Colin Cowherd went on a pretty cool rant, so I said,
I just want to pull ten seconds to this. He
talked about perhaps primetime and his kid humility is a thing,
and you really have He hasn't played one game in
the NFL and what was the sign say in his
draft room like legendary. Yeah, legendary. Well it's part of
his modo. Yeah, I know, but take a look, yeah,

(38:25):
Shane and everything Colin earlier today, Can we just go
back in society where hard work matters and humility is
not uncool.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
It's humility the worst thing. You gotta put legendary everywhere.
How about you play a.

Speaker 1 (38:37):
Game one Just give me one game and then you
can put legendary.

Speaker 2 (38:41):
All over your house.

Speaker 1 (38:42):
I don't care one game. He hasn't played one game
in the National Football League. And there is something Listen,
no one else had their own room, right. Everyone else
was either with their family on you know, crappy recliners
at home.

Speaker 2 (38:55):
They're not all hanging backstage.

Speaker 1 (38:56):
He in fairness. It's like a family sort of modo
that he's with. And the motto was be legendary, but
he's wearing that legendary chain and legendary has become the model.
But it's be legendary and it's meant to emphasize his
aspirations to achieve greatness all aspects of life, football and
personal life.

Speaker 2 (39:15):
So it's like a it's almost like a family. I
get it, but.

Speaker 1 (39:20):
I totally understand what Colin's saying too, and that's exactly
what we were saying prior to this with maybe he
rubbed people the wrong way. I mean, there was a
lot of buzz about him being a little too cocky
and a little too big for the moment.

Speaker 2 (39:33):
Trust me, Prime is a little sensitive about it.

Speaker 1 (39:35):
Did you see how he went at Dan Orlowski Orlotsky
has been a big fan all along. He criticized one
little thing like maybe this is why he's dropped down,
and Prime went out him on social media like, you know,
I thought we were you know, I thought we were
together and I thought you.

Speaker 2 (39:50):
Had our back. And Orlovsky's a nice dude. He seems
like a fair guy.

Speaker 1 (39:54):
I mean, it's fair to speculate, right, That's just why
I didn't he go And we I heard a lot
of buzz about him being cocky, and we talked about
the interview process. We know that guy's got potential. We
know what he's capable of. You know, he has the
potential to be great. You know what his dad did
that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Yeah, but and mel kiper
number one. What we don't know is the interview process

(40:16):
and how he robs people or how he comes across. Well,
let me ask you if some kid came in here.
You know it's I hate to say, but we're not
kids anymore. Some twenty something year el kid comes into
Fox Sports and he's like, Yo, I'm going to change
the culture here. I'm the man that can be interpreted
a yo. I like his fire, I want him part
of this team, or who the f do you think

(40:38):
you are? So it really is in the ear of
the beholder, the eye of the beholder.

Speaker 6 (40:44):
Let me ask you guys this because this is one
of my thoughts in a league that is so dependent
on quarterback that we saw it in this draft where
cam Ward's number one. Yeah, who's the eighth best prospect
by Daniel Jeremiah on this draft board. Throughout the draft process,
we've heard that these six quarterbacks that went last year
all would have gone before cam Ward, you know, in

(41:05):
this draft. Yeah, So what point is it that it's
just he's not up to that level, Like there've always
been quarterbacks to that point. And I completely agree that
there are things that can rub a team the wrong way,
and if you're fifty to fifty about someone, but I
just feel it's such the total package and if he
can't play and everything else comes with it, then you're

(41:27):
gonna fall Like teams weren't even willing. Tennessee took a
risk in taking cam Mood because they feel they need
a quarterback nobody else wanted to do that in the
first round outside the Giants trading up to try to
get Shador. I mean, at some point you can point
to everything, but you gotta look within Dan.

Speaker 1 (41:44):
That's a great point because we've talked about how, hey,
a guy that's been in the league one or two
years that has sort of struggled, why we quick to
write him off and automatically think just because someone's in
the draft this year. Like you said, they ranked last
year's six qbs that got drafted ahead of cam Ward
who went number one. Dude, when you saw Pittsburgh pass
on him, yeah, and just really fun that.

Speaker 2 (42:07):
May passed on him.

Speaker 1 (42:08):
I am immediately thought, well, man, they must be banking
on Rogers.

Speaker 2 (42:11):
Leggs must be all in that basket.

Speaker 1 (42:13):
But also fundamentally like to think we have other needs
at other positions, and we don't think Schaudor.

Speaker 2 (42:21):
Is the guy.

Speaker 1 (42:22):
If you're taking a non when I say sexy position,
if it's not a quarterback, running back, or wide receiver,
when your team picks an O line or you know,
I think it absolutely shows that team I'm thinking bigger
if you think on the positive side of things, though,
maybe that's exactly what Sanders needs. Which is a reality check, right,
And it's the flash and it really benefits him in

(42:44):
the long run because it forces him to step up
in every way called some humility, some some extra work.
It's the flashy pick versus the realistic, a sensible pick.
And I've joked at you about how in baseball, you
know that always happens when the team has a managerial opening,

(43:04):
and the team always wants the new manager to be
like a former player everyone liked. And it's like that,
why don't we always think that that's the guy that's
gonna be able to lead your team. Every franchise in
baseball manager gets fired. You know what they say, You know,
is there someone from our World Series winning team from
like a decade ago or so that could lead this team?

(43:25):
That's the pick that like today, if the Steelers had
chosen Shador, we would all be talking about Pittsburgh then
the Steelers today.

Speaker 2 (43:32):
But they said, you know what, that's.

Speaker 1 (43:33):
Not what we need in this moment. And again, humility
or not, Hey, humility or not. Everybody's talking about him.
So he does have that going for right. Is there
a part of me that says you'd do it to yourself?
But hey, he accepts that responsibility and that pressure because
I said, the two places people were last night, right,
they were all backstage and what looked like an Ashley

(43:54):
Furniture warehouse, yes, chilling out together, or they were at
home with their families on you know, middle class family recliners.
Chador was the one guy that had a special setup
party room. I mean, aren't you already now at that
in that moment isolating yourself.

Speaker 4 (44:10):
In a He did a sound proofed room and a
sound man for his concert he put on in there.

Speaker 1 (44:15):
So that's saying that's what rubbed people the wrong way
a little bit, but that's also who he is. But
maybe this is what he needs, this is what puts
them where he needs to be.

Speaker 4 (44:25):
To the noise. Or does he just not care because
he heard all this going into the draft and he did
rub some teams the wrong way in the interview process.
But to DB's point, when you look at his numbers
and which teams he played against, it wasn't really comparable
to Jackson Dart because of the competition Jackson Dart went
up against, and so Rich I saw a great article

(44:49):
last night that said his numbers matched more closely to
Brock purty than Jackson than to Jackson Dart. So, I mean,
it's not that schadors could can't be a great players,
a great athlet And like your boy said, even though
they're coming down on or a Lobsky right now, he's
the one that said I think he has elite field
vision and he's a great athlete. We just don't know

(45:10):
enough about him because of the competition and the bad
o line that he had.

Speaker 1 (45:13):
Yeah, we we talked about that he's hard to evaluate.
It's like a nice way of saying he's a he's
an empty fajita, all sizzle, no no substance, no meat,
you know.

Speaker 4 (45:26):
Just a question mark, like you just don't know.

Speaker 1 (45:29):
But I'm not saying he's an empty fejida. I'm just
saying that he's a lot of flash. It's like when
that waiter comes out with that sizzen fijieda, everybody looks like, ooh.

Speaker 2 (45:38):
An old fashion with smoke that comes at it.

Speaker 1 (45:40):
Oh, but you know, but maybe it's not all that great.

Speaker 2 (45:43):
We don't know.

Speaker 4 (45:44):
I haven't had it yet.

Speaker 2 (45:45):
You know.

Speaker 6 (45:45):
Daniel Jeremiah told the story to the guys on barstool
about Paxton Lynch, former Broncos first round back, and he
said that he went to the to the bowl game.
I believe it was that Memphis was playing and noticed
that Paxton Lynch wasn't talking to other coaches or other
teammates on the sidelines. It was kind of by himself

(46:07):
that there wasn't like this engagement process. We laugh about
the Draft day movie and the theory of like how
many players went to your birthday party?

Speaker 4 (46:14):
The whole deal.

Speaker 6 (46:15):
We laugh at the questions that are asked these players
in the combine. You know, if you were couldn't wear
blue jeans, what color pants do you wear? What animal
would you be? But all of that is taken into account,
so to also think of everything that comes with shador like, yeah,
it plays into it like it has to.

Speaker 1 (46:32):
I mean, I talked to the coffee did we hear
was Mantu? And I talked about how employers. I saw
an article about the coffee test where they offer you
a cup of coffee during the interview and they see
if you throw out your cup of coffee at the end,
or you leave it there for someone else to throw
it away, Like it looks like little quarterback is a
super special position. Obviously a leadership position too, where you know,

(46:53):
are you the type of guy that's gonna run people
the wrong way or you the type of guy that's
gonna that's gonna lead by example, where the players want
to fight for you, and when you're separating yourself like
you're already the superstar, it's kind of hard to be
one with the rest of the team, you know, and
it puts you in a different place like do you
want to fight for the guy that separates himself from

(47:13):
the pack, or do you want to fight for the
guy that's just.

Speaker 2 (47:16):
One of the guys.

Speaker 1 (47:17):
That's what made me Lovexwell Hairston who the Buffalo Bills pick,
because not only did he come out with enthusiasm, and
you know, it just seems such like such a sincere,
loving dude. He was bro hugging and really excited for
everyone else, and there was a part of him that
you felt like, that's a guy you want on your team. Yeah,

(47:38):
you know, I don't know if anyone else has heard this.
Second shout out to our buddy Michael Yo today listening
and say here is your ghostwriter. No, no, no, he's
a big He's a Miami guy, so he's a big
You know what, Riches had some good points lately. I
think he's getting it from Michael yo.

Speaker 4 (47:53):
Yo said.

Speaker 1 (47:54):
He's a big cam Ward guy, and a big mistake
should or made perhaps is that he did a workout
with cam Ward and a lot of people from that
workout came away saying that cam Ward looked a lot
better than Shador in that in that workout together. So
you know that's another thing too, like you don't want
to go to the bar with a better looking do

(48:14):
trying to pick up women.

Speaker 2 (48:15):
Right, But dude, let's also make you know to hear that.
Let's all make this clear.

Speaker 1 (48:18):
We all grew up fans of his dad, right, and
we go all got excited when we started seeing him play.
Anyone's yeah, I don't think anyone's rooting for the guy.
I mean not rooting for the guy. We're all rooting
for the guy. So we're just speculating on, well, what
is it then, because we're all rooting for him.

Speaker 2 (48:33):
And if I were to say rich I'm not one
to great.

Speaker 1 (48:36):
I think the teams that stand out are the Giants,
and we said that yesterday. They made some sweet moves
the Giants with Carter and Dart, the Titans with Ward,
the Jags with Hunter and Danny g E.

Speaker 2 (48:51):
Raiders Man GENTI, yeah, you can't.

Speaker 1 (48:53):
You can'tnot include your Raiders with some sweet moves or
something be excited about, especially when you think about the
other moves they made so offseason. So who are you
most excited about, Richard? Are there is there another team
I'm forgetting about? I would say Titans, Jags, Raiders forty
nine Ers took Michael Williams out of Georgia. Listen, Edge

(49:14):
Rusher opposite Nick Bosa. Some liked it, some didn't, So listen.
Everyone has their needs, right, everybody has their needs. But
as far as like sexy, I think those are the
teams that stood out, like, ooh those are some Those
are some nice moves. Now, I was gonna say Brandon
who works here, who's a big Niners fan, that I'll
be all be truthful. He's more knowledgeable than me when
you dig down deeper, like he's he's a fanat he's
a maniac.

Speaker 2 (49:34):
In fact, he did not like to pick right. I
was saying, yeah, no.

Speaker 4 (49:38):
He immediately after came out he says, I hate this pick.

Speaker 1 (49:40):
Ah, But but then again, you know what I saw
it float around. I put on my Instagram story if
you want to see it at Rich Davis the clip
of those fans saying Josh Alan we wanted Josh Rosen.
And then there's a clip right after that attached to
the same clip where it's the Chiefs fan saying.

Speaker 2 (49:55):
Patrick Mahomes, there's no one this team will never win.

Speaker 1 (49:59):
So you know, well, every year the swings and misses
people miss it happens, which.

Speaker 4 (50:03):
At quite a few of the mock drafts leading up
to this had your Niners going with Will Johnson, the
corner from Michigan.

Speaker 2 (50:10):
Now I saw that too.

Speaker 4 (50:12):
He was injured last season, but aside from that, he
is a great defensive back. He's available right now. That's
one of the other things that makes the top of
the second round here exciting because will the Browns right
off the bat go with Shador And once we get
then to the Raiders at thirty seven, would they go
with Shador to sit behind Geno Smith? Because that's kind

(50:33):
of the comp That was the comp for Shadoor yesterday
on a lot of the shows was his ceiling is
kind of like Geno Smith right now.

Speaker 2 (50:40):
You'd be pumped for that, Danny Geno.

Speaker 4 (50:42):
I mean, I think I think the Raiders have some
bigger needs. They definitely need some help in their defensive backfield.
If Will Johnson is sitting there at thirty seven, I
would go that route. But I haven't been this hyped
about a second round for a long time.

Speaker 1 (50:55):
You know what tight ends? Dan Byer is the true
first time this many tight end in the first round.
I believe I heard that stat being thrown around.

Speaker 2 (51:02):
We had two, at least two it's yeah, yeah, Loveland
and Loveland. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (51:07):
And there there are a couple of other tight ends
too in this draft that are that could be a
variety could be uh picked in the first fifteen picks
or so. Mason Taylor of LSU is one other some
big wide receivers.

Speaker 1 (51:22):
We've all noticed over the last decade the increased role
offensively of tight ends in the NFL. So you know,
some of these guys looking to make a Trunk Bowers
type of impact.

Speaker 6 (51:30):
Right, true, and and but it hasn't gone to the
Jimmy Graham like. The more you block, I think is
more intriguing. Now you love a Swiss army life like
Tyler Warren as well, but like you have to you
now have to line up and be able to hit somebody.

Speaker 1 (51:46):
You want to see a guy like George Kittle mo
people over and look like a maniac.

Speaker 6 (51:49):
Yeah, yeah, I think you know, he's obviously been on.
Gronk is obviously the standard bearer.

Speaker 2 (51:54):
But yeah, for sure, do.

Speaker 5 (51:57):
You Mason Taylor a very famous father and famous ant,
you know.

Speaker 2 (52:00):
Tim the Toolman Taylor.

Speaker 5 (52:01):
No, it's his aunt is Joy Taylor, and uh and
then her brother is of course, Uh give me Flincoln.
His first name, Jason Taylor of the Mason Taylor. I've
been watching for a few years. The guy's really good,
really good.

Speaker 1 (52:14):
Look at that talent in the film, talent and the fam.
So to wrap this all up, because we got games
to play and we can hob nobn I.

Speaker 2 (52:20):
Think Danny g hit it perfectly.

Speaker 1 (52:22):
So all the things that happened yesterday make today's round
two even more exciting. I'm gonna be I'm gonna sound
like I'm the host of the Bachelor. This is the
most exciting round two ever. I've never cared about round
two exactly as much as I've cared about this year's
round two. So I wrap up the conversation with this question.
Look at the beginning, of round two, where does should

(52:42):
do or go? What do you think, Danny? Where did
you think you for? You know, there's a lot of
speculation too, and a lot of people. I don't know
if people just want to see drama. I guess who
think that he might not go at all? I I
disagree with this.

Speaker 4 (52:56):
Saints are coming up at forty, so wouldn't surprise if
he slips down past the Browns and the Raiders. That
would put him the fortieth pick overall to the Saints.

Speaker 1 (53:05):
All right, Round two we start with Cleveland. Houston's got
their quarterback, Titans, no click, Raiders two picks in there?
What about the Raiders at thirty seven? Do you have
no interest? Gino is like you like?

Speaker 2 (53:20):
Is that?

Speaker 4 (53:21):
It's not that I don't have any interest if Will
Johnson is there. Yeah, I was saying I would go
cornerback first.

Speaker 1 (53:26):
But I'm saying with Tom Brady and his relationship with
Primetime and the fact that you got genty, you got
brock Bowers, you're building a pretty sweet offense and j
and Gina, you know.

Speaker 4 (53:38):
Too many holes on the defensive side of the ball
for the Raiders right now.

Speaker 1 (53:41):
I think he's going to go the Raiders, and I
think he fits in with the Raiders nice.

Speaker 2 (53:45):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (53:46):
He just feels like a he'd look good in silver
and black head.

Speaker 6 (53:50):
I told Danny a month ago, I think the Raiders
are destined to take Jalen Milroe because that is the
Chip Kelly. Yep, that's Harrol Uh. You know Pete Carroll
wuld all take shots with Russell Wilson. They take four
or five shots in a game. But you'd love the
mobility of Jalen Milroe.

Speaker 1 (54:07):
I have a crazy question if somehow, some way Chador
doesn't go to the Raiders at thirty seven, the fifth
pick in the second round, if he again goes past
the Saints without getting picked, which would seem crazy. If
he doesn't go with pick forty to the Saints, well
did he pay rent for two nights of the party
room or no?

Speaker 2 (54:24):
How does that work? We have it, they haven't booked again.
How does that even work?

Speaker 1 (54:30):
I hope it's not like rental cars where you add
a day and it's like triple the charge. Are there
New York fans thinking could he slip to pick forty
two with the Jets and the Jets have justin field?
But that's really sort of an experiment in itself. No,
I mean, you paid him for two years, but there's
gonna be a team eventually. That's like, why the hell

(54:52):
not right? And it's time to play Covino or Belichick.

Speaker 2 (55:01):
Let's go Steve Covino when Bill Belichick has some things
in common is the man. They both have younger girlfriends
named Jordan the man if that was my daughter.

Speaker 4 (55:13):
They both have a.

Speaker 2 (55:14):
Powerful presence in the sports world. Look harder. So you
can do that.

Speaker 1 (55:18):
When you're seventy two, you tell us is it Steve
Cavino or Bill Belichick.

Speaker 2 (55:24):
I'm not mad at him at all. I want to
know what it is.

Speaker 4 (55:28):
You know what it is.

Speaker 2 (55:28):
The similarities are endless. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (55:31):
The only difference is Bill is like five or six
years older than Covino.

Speaker 2 (55:37):
Five or six Io was Sam?

Speaker 4 (55:40):
Danny?

Speaker 2 (55:40):
Do you have a contestants lined up?

Speaker 4 (55:41):
We are gonna meet our contestant in just a moment.
I'm gonna let buy or pick here, all right, DV
would you love to travel to beautiful Missoula, Montana, Las Vegas, Nevada,
West Palm Beach, Florida, or Temple, Texas. Let's go to
West Palm West Palm is Mike, Mike A hey, read

(56:02):
p Mike really quick. What do you do for a
living there in Florida?

Speaker 8 (56:07):
I'm work in a cemetery.

Speaker 1 (56:09):
Oh, I mean Florida, as they said, where New Yorker
is going to die.

Speaker 4 (56:13):
All right, here is how Covino waiting. This is waiting room.
This is how Covino or Belichick works. I've done extensive
research on Coach and Coveno and their young girlfriends. Each
member of the crew is going to read a fun fact,
and then you gotta tell us is it Steve Covino
or Bill Belichick? You have five chances to get too correct.
Are you ready?

Speaker 9 (56:34):
I'm ready?

Speaker 4 (56:34):
Okay, Rich Davis is going to read the first fun fact.

Speaker 1 (56:37):
All right, this guy, whether it's Belichick or Cavino, there,
Jordan once had a pet goat named buck Buck. Covino
or Belichick there, Jordan once had a pet goat named
buck Buck.

Speaker 8 (56:53):
I know, let's bell check.

Speaker 7 (56:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (56:58):
Actually, my girlfriend she lived on a farm. Seriously had
coats and stuff.

Speaker 7 (57:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (57:03):
Oh or oh my, I.

Speaker 2 (57:05):
Didn't know this.

Speaker 1 (57:06):
Yeah, she bounced around, but I know she lived on
a farm. She always talks about his goat. She had
really all right, don't know she has this goat what's up? Yeah,
the greatest of all time.

Speaker 2 (57:18):
Goat boy.

Speaker 4 (57:19):
Yeah, don't worry, Mike, you got four more chances to
get too, right. All right, Dan Bayer is going to
read the second fun fact.

Speaker 2 (57:25):
All right.

Speaker 6 (57:25):
He once said, quote, you get the job done or
you don't end quote. Oh cavin know where a Belichick.

Speaker 7 (57:35):
Bellot jack?

Speaker 4 (57:38):
Yes, all right, so you're on the board halfway to
a swiggy and yeah. Covino has said some very thoughtful
things on the air before, but never that line.

Speaker 2 (57:47):
Yeah, never that line specifically, great job.

Speaker 4 (57:49):
All right, spot has the third fund fact.

Speaker 10 (57:51):
I feel like this is going to be as tough
as the goat question because they're both equally have huge personalities.
He was on a reality TV program in the early
two thousands. A lot going on for both of them.
In the early two thousands. It's a Cavino or Belichick.

Speaker 2 (58:08):
Yeah, that's.

Speaker 4 (58:12):
We have a winner, Mike and West Palm Beach, Florida
to correct there. That means we're gonna mail.

Speaker 2 (58:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (58:18):
I was on a show called The Empire Girls, and
I was like the only Empire boy. And that show
aired on Style And remember Style was Style and E
the E Network, and now it's on like Amazon, and
my daughter's friends find it and make fun of her
about it.

Speaker 2 (58:33):
It's it's horribly embarrassing.

Speaker 1 (58:35):
I remember your ex wife was on it, which is
why you were on it, and you guys were fighting
about moving to New York and LA and I was like,
what premonitions of that going wrong?

Speaker 4 (58:43):
It was horrible.

Speaker 2 (58:44):
But man, we got a windy by Mike.

Speaker 4 (58:46):
We're gonna mail out a shiny sea in our stainless
steel Swiggy to Florida for you.

Speaker 1 (58:51):
Okay, isn't your ex wife on the Real Housewives of
Encino because you know? And now it's time for weekend
hobnobbin live in for the weekend.

Speaker 2 (59:03):
You're winning bets for talking points if you get stuck socializing.

Speaker 4 (59:07):
You ever done anything dangerous?

Speaker 2 (59:08):
You ever dance for the devil in the panel line?
Friday brings us weekend hob All.

Speaker 1 (59:15):
Right, so you know I love me a good fight, right,
we need to get pop. So that's bub rubb bobro.
People realize that whistle go whoa, that's the.

Speaker 2 (59:24):
From the Oakland area.

Speaker 1 (59:25):
One of my favorite clips of the two thousands. Whistles
go whoo so Chris hu Banks is fighting Connor ben
middleweight boxing match onto his own but pretty decent UFC card.
If you like UFC, you got Gary Ian Machatto, Gary
versus Carlos Prates, Smith versus Ming Yang, some good UFC

(59:49):
if you want to see some fights, got a little
UFC and a little boxing going on this weekend.

Speaker 2 (59:54):
We're all waiting for May second. That's real boxing, right.

Speaker 1 (59:56):
I was just gonna say, Time Square Outdoors, that's Tafema,
Ryan Garcia, Devin Haney Garcia headlining that fight. That's May second.
So yeah, that's all building up for that. I started
it last night after the draft. I'm gonna continue tonight.
Joe Goldberg is Bad You on Netflix, and I always

(01:00:16):
look at it like dexter Light, dexter Light, And what
I've noticed, Rich is Joe Goldberg went from like a
guy being obsessed with, you know, women, like sort of
a stalker.

Speaker 2 (01:00:27):
Kind of guy. Like it's just a straight up murderer.
Now he's just straight murdering people like a weirdo. And
for whatever reason, we kind of like Joe Goldberg.

Speaker 10 (01:00:35):
You.

Speaker 2 (01:00:36):
I think it's the final season if I'm not mistaken.

Speaker 1 (01:00:38):
So I always liked that show so far is pretty
dece and I'll give ourselves some prompts. If you missed
it yesterday, I don't blame you. Everybody's tuning into the draft.
It was an exciting night. We talked about it all day.
Continues today. You gotta watch over Promised, our bonus pod
that's on Fox.

Speaker 2 (01:00:57):
Sports Radio's YouTube page.

Speaker 1 (01:00:58):
You could listen, but we prefer you watch it because
we welcome KFC from Barstool, Kevin Clancy.

Speaker 2 (01:01:05):
We had thirty minutes with the one Minute Man and we.

Speaker 1 (01:01:09):
Got his backstory, his relationship with Portnoy, how he ended
up in this spot, and he just chopped it up
and just hung out anyway.

Speaker 2 (01:01:14):
He's a really good dude.

Speaker 1 (01:01:15):
So got to know Kevin a little bit better on
over Promised. Check it out and let us know what
you think. I have you also on my list. Might
as well finish the show I started back in the day.
Right as you said, dexter Light, you was back on Netflix.

Speaker 2 (01:01:28):
If you have Apple TV, which is chief Skate Cavino's like, good, go,
I don't have it.

Speaker 1 (01:01:32):
Spend the five bucks, six bucks or whatever. I'm good
the show because there's always something else to watch the show.
That I'm so pulled into right now. And there's a
new episode today, Danny G. Episode four. Yeah, Your Friends
and Neighbors with John hamm many people are saying, and
I agree, his best stuff since mad Men. He's so cool.
There's something so cool about John Ham. The story's like

(01:01:54):
so upsetting yet awesome. So John Ham, Your Friends and Neighbors.
Olivia Munn is also in that looking beautiful.

Speaker 2 (01:02:00):
And remember.

Speaker 1 (01:02:03):
From Amanda Pete from a Bunch of Stuff in the
two thousand, she john Ham's Ham does it on credits, Ham.

Speaker 2 (01:02:08):
Does get credit.

Speaker 1 (01:02:09):
So Your Friends and Neighbors fantastic. This is a show
on Netflix. I feel like this is something you'd passed podcast.
It was a cowboy hat and Cavino was very judgmental.

Speaker 2 (01:02:18):
Ransom Canyon.

Speaker 1 (01:02:21):
Oh, it's so cheesy. It looks so cheesy, but it's bad.
My abservratio with my wife Danny G is that it
stars Josh Dumel and Minka Kelly, who in my mind
are both like young hotties and they're both like older
met It's.

Speaker 4 (01:02:32):
Like a Hallmark movie trying to have Yellowstone level dramas
Yellowstone meets Hallmark. It's torture, but.

Speaker 1 (01:02:38):
In my mind, I'm like, called Josh Neumel, He's like
a young studyed Minka Kelly.

Speaker 2 (01:02:42):
And I'm like, wait no, they're all like they're both
like middle aged. Now is it Timothy Oliphant or Josh Jumel.

Speaker 1 (01:02:47):
That's that's available and Cavino, per your recommendation because I
give you props unlike you never give me props. I
watched some of these History Channel food specials. There's one
about the history of salsa.

Speaker 2 (01:03:00):
Let even drunking. This is most Bobby Salsa. There's the
most It's the most interesting crap I've ever seen in
my life.
