to kick things off with. Obviously, Hey, we just watched
a combined no hitter. The Chicago Cubs Showtey Minaga and
two relievers combine to no hit the Pirates twelve nothing
in their win on Wednesday Night, seven innings, turned it
over to Nate Pearson in the eighth, Porter Hodge in
(03:51):
the ninth. It is the fourth no hitter of the
baseball season. This game was never in doubt. The Cubs
were up twelve nothing in and it's going to the
ninth inning and Emon Augu's pitch count. He was at
ninety five pitches through seven innings. And again I say
this all the time. If he's at ninety five through seven,
the guy could go out there to pitch the guy,
(04:13):
he can go out there to pitch another inning. I know, yes,
we're doing the right we'd say all these things, but
when you're at ninety five, he's not at one hundred
and seven. Okay, he's not at one hundred and ten.
You could once you get up to one ten, you
get you get into that range.

But when the guy's that closed, you could put him
out there for another inning. And if it's a long inning, right,
it's easy to take him out because he gives up
a hit, obviously you take him right out. It's twelve nothing,
so I mean, it doesn't matter. Eleven nothing at the time,
so it doesn't matter. You could take him out, put
another reliever in. Maybe he gets a quick inning, maybe
he keeps it going and suddenly he's going to the
ninth inning at one hundred and one pitches on the A.

Here's an no hitter. You can wind up. You can
wind up having for your career, having a phenomenal rookie
season here.

He could have left him in, could have left him
in for another inning and just see not dead, leave
him all the way, but just see. Hey, let's see
how you start the inning. And if it's bad, if
you're laboring and there's a couple of walks and deep

Yeah, it's the curiosity of how if there is a
management to his innings because he's approaching a career high
looking back at his jap Japanese League stats and what
he's done, Like, we're approaching that mark and the Cubs
are still technically in contention for a wildcard spot and
it's only going as far as he's able to take
them every fifth day. But the point being that he's

been he's been absolute nails right now. Twelve and three
e er just over a three strikeout to walk ratio
has been fantastic, all of those things, and I get it,
like we feel cheated anytime there's a combined no hitter.
It's like does it really count? And then you start
going into the opponent, like if it was the White Sox,
would it count? I don't know, it's all philosophical. Oh no,

there would be investigations to see if it was actually real.
First like that no one would believe it. You'd have
to go through and say, okay, here's evidence that this
is no no, but see this isn't a Nobody's watching
the White Sox there's been more white Sox chatter in
the last two to three weeks, and there has been
since two thousand and five.

No people think, Hey, people went on social media and
they and they or they AI this, they AI the
no hitter. No, they would have to be actual investigation
to proof that it happened, that what you saw was
real and not something where Hey, no one's coming to
the game. We got nobody walking through the gates. Let's

I mean they would know though, I mean because they
nobody would really investigate it, because they would have said,

Because I mean you were talking about one hundred and
thirty losses. I know, well, they're not gonna lose every game.

were gonna get one or two against the Angels. You
put up signs for show heyo Tani yesterday say this
guy used to work here.

And I guess you could go to the stat padding
line if you really want to. But tonight, in a
game that will make Rob Manford very proud, the Indiana
Fever and Caitlyn Clark take care of the La Sparks
in a little bit under two hours. Like this game
started and was over really fast, and it came down
to the final play of the game for a huge

historical odding for Caitlyn Clark.

And here's how it ended, Tom more than an Indiana
chance gets hit. The ball is loose and it's alive.
It's alive. Yes, it's alive. It's there. It is a
butt fummer. I mean that's a welcome back to football season. Yeah, no, no,
you're right, it is. I am right.

And ty shirt his back. So I have to understand
that these things are going to happen. So okay, I'll

But it takes you out of your rhythm because you

Had clinched a playoff berth last night with a couple
of losses by the Sky, they beat the Sparks tonight
ninety three eighty six. Caitlin Clark was one rebound shy
of a triple double in the final fifteen seconds of
the game.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
Would she get it? It's up, it won't go, pulls
it down? And this building knows what that means. Kelsey,
Mite's gone.

Triple double for Caitlin. Reaction by Key, I don't know

It's a triple double, yeah right, Angel Reach is running
to Twitter going, oh, it's aid stat Patty, come on,
but that's Stat panning on there. Another amazing night for
Caitlyn Clark and a triple double, and you know you've
heard all the conversation about her. Right tonight twenty four
ten rebounds, ten asists. She also had three steals. The
Fever may never lose again, right, I mean, they got

six out of the last seven at home. They are
steaming towards the playoffs. You know, it's no longer Rookie
of the Year conversation. It's really an MVP conversation with
Caitlyn Clark, which we can get into. But this is
a little bit new, something different on Caitlyn Clark because
I feel like everybody's kind of been beaten over the
head with the same conversations. You know that we had
three weeks ago that everyone's starting to about.
Speaker 2 (10:46):
About Kaitlyn Clark and Angel Rees and I was a
sun again. I takes a while for the producers to
catch up with their notes.
Speaker 1 (10:52):
Sure, and to Kitlyn Clark is really it's really her
Asia Wilson for MVP.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
You know we did that like two three weeks ago. Okay,
it's where we're at.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
But all of the mess that has that has been
going on with this right and it goes back to
what we talked about the beginning of the season. The
WNBA needs to handle success right, and they've shown they
can't do it because there's controversy surrounding their best, most
popular player and Charles Barkley a Charles.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
Barkley Waite tonight he must listen to the show.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
And he went on a podcast today and said, you know,
I can't believe how they've screwed this up and how
the petty jealousy that's been going on.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
Right, we've talked about this. Did he talk about saving
the network again? No? I think he did.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
I'm gonna save another network too. Yeah, he's gonna save
all the networks. He's gonna save nighttime primetime network programming
that's woe.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
Yeah, sure, save it all.
Speaker 4 (11:38):
If he bowls that off without having another bunch of
greenlit reality shows, he's the champer.
Speaker 1 (11:46):
But something a little bit different is that to think
about Caitlin Clark through all of this, All of the
conversation has been really about her, but it's from the
perspective of other people, because these are the people that
are mel down or not understanding how to handle the
success of when a new star comes in the league, right,
Like we have new stars come in the NFL all
(12:06):
the time, no one treats them like this. Right in
the NBA all the time, no one treats them like this.
But it's always been from that point of view because
Caitlyn Clark by and large has stayed away from it all.
She's extremely self aware. She knows who she is, she
knows the impact she has on the game when she's
on the court. She's got that fire, right. There's stuff
that goes on on the court. She's not a shrinking violet.
She's not oh, you're treating me this way. She gets
(12:28):
as good as she gets on the court, but off
the court, there's nothing. She goes out and plays, she influences,
and it's really something to see her do this, and
really she is taken. And it's difficult because I can't
tell you how many times where if it was me
and I see what people say about me or think
or opine about my play or certain things where I

just wouldn't be able to take it, and I would say, Okay,
you want to say this about me, Okay, come interview me.
Speaker 2 (12:53):
Hey, Hey, Fox, ESPN, come to my house. And I
got some things to say.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
But Caitlyn Clark has stayed out of all of it,
and She has not responded to any of it because
she knows that the best way to shut up haters
and people who whine and complain and jealousy is to
metaphorically nod your head and point and say scoreboard, because
that's all she is doing. Oh, Kaitlyn Clark is gonna

be reality for Kitlyn Clark coming in late uh huh
huh scoreboard. Oh, we don't want to take her for
the Olympic team, even though it's gonna help the sport,
because we have our girls and we don't know how
much they would like her. And boy, your fans might
be upset if they if they don't if she doesn't
play enough, uh huh uh huh scoreboard. Oh, maybe she's
not the Rookie of the Year. ESPN has this weird
sort of thing where Angel Reese actually has the metrics

ed uh huh, yeah, you know what.

Scoreboard. Oh, I don't know if she's the mv Aga
Wilson so much better. I can't believe this.
Speaker 1 (13:45):
And I don't even want to talk about the Indiana
fever and mention Katelyn Clark saying I want to talk
about other people because I don't know. I don't think
you uh huh, uh huh. Scoreboard, that's all she's doing.
Uh huh scoreboard, scoreboard, because what have we just seen
Over the course the last few she has taken her
play to the next level. We knew the Caitlin Clark
Middlefinger Tour was going to begin right after the break.

For the Olympics, and it has.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
And all she has done is lift her team to
from the bottom of the standings to the middle of
the standings and higher. She's become an MVP candidate. What
she's doing is blowing away what we seen rookies do
in WNBA when they come in, and she's doing it
by just pointing and saying, scoreboard, scoreboard, that's all scoreboard.
Look scoreboard for me, scoreboard for my numbers, scoreboard for
(14:29):
my team, scoreboard for what we are doing, and scoreboard
for everybody else you think is as good as I am,
because you know she's got that bit because all athletes,
all great athletes, have that bit of selfishness in them
when they know, hey, this is why I succeed. Every
great athlete is at least a little to a lot selfish.
But that's been the way she has fought this entire
thing is uh huh scoreboard, And pretty soon even the
(14:51):
most staunch of haters or deniers or jealousy, every time
they say something, it's less and less of a leg
to stand on as yeah, uh huh uh huh, I
hear what you're saying, scoreboard, Like, there's not a lot
anybody can say right now. The best you can hope
for is that, Okay, we put it away for a while.
They get to the playoffs and in the first round
or the second round, the fever get blown out and

Caitlyn Clay. They find a way to stop Caitlyn Clark,
and they went and then all the haters can jump
back up and go, ah see, we knew she wasn't
any good, But slowly she's making them all go away.
And that's the best way to do it. And it's
a hard thing to do because you always want to
talk about the haters, Okay, you want. I couldn't do it.
I mean maybe because you and I talked for a living,
so it's difficult, but I couldn't do it. But the
way she's doing it, that's the right way to do it.

And she's succeeding every single day.

Well, I mean, I just always thank people for stopping
by at how about It Fresco at Swollen Gome. If
they want to get critical and they want to go
after things, we say, you know, I have at it.
It's all opinions and you're all entitled to yours. When
it comes to Caitlin Clark, she's got a good team
around her and has a pretty level head having gone
through this for the last couple of years. Even in
(15:59):
the post came in talking about playoffs, there was the
picture circulating right of the team and everybody about their season, goals, playoffs,
playoffs players. Hers just said smile underneath it. And in
the postgame interview being asked about being player of the month,
back to back, player of the week, coach of the month,
clinching at playoffs, about all of that stuff, her first
(16:21):
thing was to kind of smile and just say, I
want to make sure Kelsey Mitchell gets her love right.
She's been here seven years and goes deep into the
history of what the team has been through, etc. So
all the right things and again on the court, Yeah,
she gives as good as she gets. She's gotten up inside,
you know, four arms shivers into people as well. She's
not you know innocent in those regards, and those videotapes
(16:45):
are well chronicled across the social media sphere. But where
we're at now, every player, everybody in the league that
catches a check related to the league, they should at
least give a knowing nod and thank you when they
open their next paycheck or hope they're at mobile app
for their banking apps when the next check clears, because
(17:06):
it's all because of that arrival and the elevation of
the squad. I did like the announcer during the game
who was really trying to sell you on the Sparks
early on, talking about how tough they were, and the
analysts just came right back and said, well.

They've lost seven of eight.
Speaker 4 (17:23):
I mean, it's good that they beat New York and
they did have a win against Las Vegas a while back,
but they are two and fifteen on the road this year.
But you know, it's try you're trying to elevate folks,
but you know, reality sometimes punches in the face.

when I was playing either hockey or softball, whatever, we're
playing against a team that wanted to beat us or

everything else. And of course I was always the big talker, right,
I always right.

My guess is you had a bunch of guys that
were six inches taller that you knew, Hey, they'd come
and kick some ass if need.

I raked in softball and I scored goals all the time.
In hockey, I was I was. I was the guy,
but I was okay with doing it. And every time
somebody would get mad, some would happened, we'd be winning it.
Beat like an I remember in one hockey game we
were playing a team and uh, they thought they were
going to beat us, and it was the semi final,
was four to one with about five minutes to go

in the game, and we were waiting for a face off,
and uh, I would tell you, but I'm off to
the side, and I'm in front of the other team's
bench and the other team's bench like they're they're really mad,
and they're.

he did last year, thirty touchdowns. He's got weapons all

people are waiting for Mayfield to fall in his face,
but he's got some talented receivers and the running back
situation is so much better than it was a year ago.
I know fantasy owners lover Shod White, right, Oh, he's

gonna keep getting the carry's not gonna keep getting the
responsibility because his numbers are low. He's not very efficient.

But Bucky Irving, Sean Tucker, they drafted Bucky Irving with
a chance to come in and do this. Sean Tucker
they drafted out of Syracuse a year ago. They now
have some dynamic guys to split the job when they
need to. Their offense is loaded, and their defense they
get after you. They have a great defense against the rush.
No one's gonna be able to run the football on them.
They're in a weak division. They're gonna sneak up on

a lot of people. But give me Tampa Bay in
the NFC Championship game where they take on the Los
Angeles Rams. I'd kind of let you know that I've
been thinking about the Rams the last couple of weeks.
I'll make it official now. Look, the Rams are loaded
on offense, They're young. Matthew Stafford shows I have plenty
left in the tank. Look in one year, they went

from one of the oldest teams in the NFL to
one of the youngest, and they have all kinds of
guys on offense. If Kyron Williams gets hurt, which you
know is likely going to happen, they drafted Blake Korum
to be that guy. Anybody they put in running the
football in Los Angeles succeeds. So I feel pretty good
about them. The last half of the year, they're one
of the top five teams in the NFL. They'll keep
it going. Yes, a lot of changes defensively. I understand

this for the Rams, but tell me the last time
Sean McVay has made moves that have backfired or haven't
worked out. I mean, we don't give McVeigh and the
Rams and their front off is enough credit for knowing
what we can do, when to move on from players,
how to move on from players, what draft picks to
give up, what players to bring in. It's always worked.
And it is a big turnover on defense this year.

I get it, but I'm pretty convinced they'll do the
right thing and be able to be a pretty good defense,
and they just get better and better as a season

two relievers combine to no hit the Pirates twelve nothing
in their win on Wednesday Night, seven innings, turned it
over to Nate Pearson in the eighth, Porter Hodge in

the ninth. It is the fourth no hitter of the
baseball season. This game was never in doubt. The Cubs
were up twelve nothing in and it's going to the
ninth inning and Emon Augu's pitch count. He was at
ninety five pitches through seven innings. And again I say
this all the time. If he's at ninety five through seven,
the guy could go out there to pitch the guy,
(04:13):
he can go out there to pitch another inning. I know, yes,
we're doing the right we'd say all these things, but
when you're at ninety five, he's not at one hundred
and seven. Okay, he's not at one hundred and ten.
You could once you get up to one ten, you
get you get into that range.

But when the guy's that closed, you could put him
out there for another inning. And if it's a long inning, right,
it's easy to take him out because he gives up

another reliever in. Maybe he gets a quick inning, maybe
he keeps it going and suddenly he's going to the
ninth inning at one hundred and one pitches on the A.

Here's an no hitter. You can wind up. You can
wind up having for your career, having a phenomenal rookie
season here.

Yeah, it's the curiosity of how if there is a

has been fantastic, all of those things, and I get it,
like we feel cheated anytime there's a combined no hitter.
It's like does it really count? And then you start
going into the opponent, like if it was the White Sox,
would it count? I don't know, it's all philosophical. Oh no,

there would be investigations to see if it was actually real.
First like that no one would believe it. You'd have
to go through and say, okay, here's evidence that this
is no no, but see this isn't a Nobody's watching
the White Sox there's been more white Sox chatter in
the last two to three weeks, and there has been
since two thousand and five.

of the Year conversation. It's really an MVP conversation with

a little bit new, something different on Caitlyn Clark because
I feel like everybody's kind of been beaten over the
head with the same conversations. You know that we had
three weeks ago that everyone's starting to about.

About Kaitlyn Clark and Angel Rees and I was a
sun again. I takes a while for the producers to
catch up with their notes.

Sure, and to Kitlyn Clark is really it's really her

what we talked about the beginning of the season. The
WNBA needs to handle success right, and they've shown they

And he went on a podcast today and said, you know,
I can't believe how they've screwed this up and how
the petty jealousy that's been going on.

I'm gonna save another network too. Yeah, he's gonna save
all the networks. He's gonna save nighttime primetime network programming
that's woe.

greenlit reality shows, he's the champer.

But something a little bit different is that to think
about Caitlin Clark through all of this, All of the
conversation has been really about her, but it's from the
perspective of other people, because these are the people that
are mel down or not understanding how to handle the
success of when a new star comes in the league, right,
Like we have new stars come in the NFL all

the time, no one treats them like this. Right in
the NBA all the time, no one treats them like this.
But it's always been from that point of view because
Caitlyn Clark by and large has stayed away from it all.
She's extremely self aware. She knows who she is, she
knows the impact she has on the game when she's
on the court. She's got that fire, right. There's stuff
that goes on on the court. She's not a shrinking violet.
She's not oh, you're treating me this way. She gets

as good as she gets on the court, but off
the court, there's nothing. She goes out and plays, she influences,
and it's really something to see her do this, and
really she is taken. And it's difficult because I can't
tell you how many times where if it was me
and I see what people say about me or think
or opine about my play or certain things where I

just wouldn't be able to take it, and I would say, Okay,
you want to say this about me, Okay, come interview me.

Hey, Hey, Fox, ESPN, come to my house. And I

But Caitlyn Clark has stayed out of all of it,
and She has not responded to any of it because
she knows that the best way to shut up haters
and people who whine and complain and jealousy is to

But that's been the way she has fought this entire
thing is uh huh scoreboard, And pretty soon even the

most staunch of haters or deniers or jealousy, every time
they say something, it's less and less of a leg
to stand on as yeah, uh huh uh huh, I
hear what you're saying, scoreboard, Like, there's not a lot
anybody can say right now. The best you can hope
for is that, Okay, we put it away for a while.
They get to the playoffs and in the first round
or the second round, the fever get blown out and

Caitlyn Clay. They find a way to stop Caitlyn Clark,
and they went and then all the haters can jump
back up and go, ah see, we knew she wasn't
any good, But slowly she's making them all go away.
And that's the best way to do it. And it's
a hard thing to do because you always want to
talk about the haters, Okay, you want. I couldn't do it.
I mean maybe because you and I talked for a living,
so it's difficult, but I couldn't do it. But the
way she's doing it, that's the right way to do it.

And she's succeeding every single day.

Well, I mean, I just always thank people for stopping

they want to get critical and they want to go
after things, we say, you know, I have at it.

it comes to Caitlin Clark, she's got a good team
around her and has a pretty level head having gone
through this for the last couple of years. Even in

picture circulating right of the team and everybody about their season, goals, playoffs,

the postgame interview being asked about being player of the month,

thing was to kind of smile and just say, I
want to make sure Kelsey Mitchell gets her love right.
She's been here seven years and goes deep into the
history of what the team has been through, etc. So
all the right things and again on the court, Yeah,
she gives as good as she gets. She's gotten up inside,
you know, four arms shivers into people as well. She's
not you know innocent in those regards, and those videotapes

are well chronicled across the social media sphere. But where
we're at now, every player, everybody in the league that
catches a check related to the league, they should at
least give a knowing nod and thank you when they
open their next paycheck or hope they're at mobile app
for their banking apps when the next check clears, because

it's all because of that arrival and the elevation of
the squad. I did like the announcer during the game
who was really trying to sell you on the Sparks
early on, talking about how tough they were, and the
analysts just came right back and said, well.

I raked in softball and I scored goals all the time.

going to beat us, and it was the semi final,
was four to one with about five minutes to go

in the game, and we were waiting for a face off,
and uh, I would tell you, but I'm off to
the side, and I'm in front of the other team's
bench and the other team's bench like they're they're really mad,

Going, I can't believe we'll lose these guys. They stink.
This guy's got, this guy's got, this guy's got to.

Guy had two goals. The game was this guy's got
two goals. How does he have two goals? I meanwhile,
I had like thirty goals in the season, so I
was like, you know, but whatever. The guy was really mad.
He was just guy, I can kid. This team's not
even any good. It's not even And I turned around
because and I turned around because the ref was like
Marson was gonna happen. And I picked up like I
was doing the can can, and I went scoreboard, look
at the scoreboard, and everybody just starts dying lefting like

And I finished my shift and I came off and
and and our coach said, I think you should you
should stay off here for the next couple of minutes.
After that, I said, yeah, sure, we're going four one.

turned around in the canon scoreboard. I did the can
can look at the scoreboard. It was so childish, so.

I would say if I were on the other squad,
even if you and I weren't jawing at that point,
you would have you would have gotten a cross check.

Like when they took Caitlyn Clark out of the game
against the Sky, when you were throwing behind the back
passes and laughing on the court, Hey, you come out

double rematch. We've seen this matchup in the NFC Championship
Game twice, and I mean I'm going all the way back.

Super Bowl there, we've seen it twice.

And the first team that's getting there, everybody's sleeping on them.
But they are loaded and they don't play in a
great division. People are sleeping on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
This is a team last year that really got their
identity post Tom Brady. Look, Baker Mayfield, he is the

right fit for what they're doing.

I'm seeing some of the same things when Mayfield really
kind of grasp things in Cleveland, but of course he
couldn't figure it out because he's a little immature at
the time. Now getting this third bite at the apple, Hey,
I think I figured it out a bit. And he's
still young enough and had some success. Look at what
he did last year, thirty touchdowns. He's got weapons all
over the place. He fits with what they do. Just
because the guy's failed once when he's given a big

chance doesn't mean it's always going to happen. I know
people are waiting for Mayfield to fall in his face,
but he's got some talented receivers and the running back
situation is so much better than it was a year ago.
I know fantasy owners lover Shod White, right, Oh, he's
so great. Let but he's a volume guy. He's not
gonna keep getting the carry's not gonna keep getting the
responsibility because his numbers are low. He's not very efficient.
(25:20):
But Bucky Irving, Sean Tucker, they drafted Bucky Irving with
a chance to come in and do this. Sean Tucker
they drafted out of Syracuse a year ago. They now
have some dynamic guys to split the job when they
need to. Their offense is loaded, and their defense they
get after you. They have a great defense against the rush.
No one's gonna be able to run the football on them.
They're in a weak division. They're gonna sneak up on
(25:42):
a lot of people. But give me Tampa Bay in
the NFC Championship game where they take on the Los
Angeles Rams. I'd kind of let you know that I've
been thinking about the Rams the last couple of weeks.
I'll make it official now. Look, the Rams are loaded
on offense, They're young. Matthew Stafford shows I have plenty
left in the tank. Look in one year, they went
(26:03):
from one of the oldest teams in the NFL to
one of the youngest, and they have all kinds of
guys on offense. If Kyron Williams gets hurt, which you
know is likely going to happen, they drafted Blake Korum
to be that guy. Anybody they put in running the
football in Los Angeles succeeds. So I feel pretty good
about them. The last half of the year, they're one
of the top five teams in the NFL. They'll keep
it going. Yes, a lot of changes defensively. I understand
(26:26):
this for the Rams, but tell me the last time
Sean McVay has made moves that have backfired or haven't
worked out. I mean, we don't give McVeigh and the
Rams and their front off is enough credit for knowing
what we can do, when to move on from players,
how to move on from players, what draft picks to
give up, what players to bring in. It's always worked.
And it is a big turnover on defense this year.
(26:48):
I get it, but I'm pretty convinced they'll do the
right thing and be able to be a pretty good defense,
and they just get better and better as a season
goes on. The forty nine is gonna be looking over
their shoulder till the Rams pass them. Tampa Bay and
the Rams in the NFC Championship Game, and give me
the Rams going back to the Super Bowl again for
the third time under Sean McVay. The Rams in the

Super Bowl this year, just like the Florida State fan
it was gonna eat dog Blank the other night said
on social media book It. You're speechless, aren't you? Mike Carmen,

The only fear I have is with maybe the tush
push goes away, and what does that look like in
the short yardage? Is it Barkley? Is it more passing
efficiency from Jalen Hurts? And then if I'm not gonna
do it this year.

No, boy, when the hell am I going to do
Boys sixteen to one to win? The NFC backed it
up with plenty of Fantasy selections off of this squad.
It's a certain team from a certain city, begins with

Cole Kamett as tight end two. Nobody wanted him like
he had cooties. So so I've got two of them.
But I'm looking at it from the defensive efficiency once
Sweat came over and what they were as a unit. Now,

some injuries, some issues we've talked about in the last
couple of days. The opportunity for the unit is huge.
But we look at the offensive side of things replete
with wide received a little concern that Keenan Allen can't
get through seventeen games. Doesn't said he didn't need the
thirty five million though, So Moore catches.

For Roma Dunze, doesn't matter, That's just it. Roma doonsa

One of the things you got from Hard Knocks is
that you have a number of other guys that if

can actually play some football. So if something were to

the way, you have a more than capable backup, something
most NFL teams cannot say as they enter Week one,
a lot of question marks walking over guys dressed like
the Riddler in that quarterback room.

Nobody saw that coming eight to one against the Orioles,
and that's significant because the Orioles with that loss for
the time being, they now drop into a typher first
in the Al East with the Yankees. However, the Yankees
are right now are currently getting beat down by the

Rangers tend to in Texas and they're in the top
of the eight. The Angels are hounding the Dodgers sixth
to nothing there that is in the fifth inning. Also,
the Padres no runs to show far as well as
we keep it in the NL West with the Tigers
ahead three to nothing, they're in the third inning. Also
Mariners five, the A's one that is in the first

or excuse me, in the fourth and some of the
completed games of notable status. The Phillies four to two
they take out the Blue Jays. So the Phillies, they
are now leading the A excuse me, the NL East
by seven games. They have first place there with the
win for the Reds that was twelve to five against
the Astros. It was a ten ending game and it

went the Marlins way four to three against the Nationals.
And then lastly, guys, I'll mention, see this really quick
wins for the Braves, the Mets, Yes, the Mets. The
Cubs had the combined no hitder three pitchers twelve to
nothing winners against the Pirates. The Cubs are now four
and a half games out of that third and final
wildcard spot in the NL, which is owned currently by
the Braves after their five to two win against the Rockies.

And lastly, Jason and Mike, as I get it back
to you, the Mets did have that win eight to
three against the Red Sox, but still the Mets. If
the season ended right now, Jason and Mike, New York
is not in the playoffs.

I didn't see this story coming today. It's wild for
many different reasons, because it's something that comes from the NFL,
but I think it's also something that a lot of us,
you know, have had to deal with at some point.

If you saw this story today involving the Washington Commanders,
they've suspended one of their employees whom comments about the
team's players being anti gay, accused Jerry Jones of being
racist and anti gay, and called NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell
a fifty million dollar puppet.
Speaker 2 (37:13):
Now wait, what, No, but that's not all. Well, he's
not the first guy to have said that.
Speaker 1 (37:18):
I mean, he also said NFL fans are high school
educated alcoholics, and that he's selling hope, and that one
of the things he does that he had.
Speaker 2 (37:28):
To do was there was a sewage leak.
Speaker 1 (37:31):
In the stadium about a year or two ago, and
fans said it smelled like sewage, and he put out, nope,
it was just water. Even though it was sewage. He
was that's what we do here as part of our
as part of our responsibilities. This is state run media.
Now wait a minute, now, how do we find out
this guy said all these things. He is the vice

president of content, which means he does something with social media.
I'm assuming he is the vice president of content. His
name is and Team. Now wait a minute, now, so
seriously this guy, how do we know this? This is
where things get fun is because this comes out because

But he goes on two dates with a woman he
meets on Hinge, and in two dates, he gets out
that the team's players are anti gay, Jerry Jones is
righteous and anti gay, Roger Goodella is a puppet NFL
fans or high school educated alcoholics, and that I lied
about pipe sewage when it looked like it was something

that was Dappa j You know. First, first, let me
just say that I thought they turned a corner in
that organization. Dude, Come on, man, the Washington commanders are
just riddled with scandal. They make USC look like West
Point right like that. That's how that's how bad.

It is when we were talking about USC a few
years ago, the number of lawsuits, not even getting into
the latest with the quarterback and that TMZ report that
we discussed yesterday.
Speaker 2 (39:34):

a bartender that will make you something to drink. There
is all kinds of television. Get whatever sporting event you want,
whatever it is. There's also a stack of money in
the corner. You can call and gamble. There's actually a
guy with a roulette wheel. If you want to go play,

he'll play blackjack two. But just don't sit in the
chair in the middle of the room. Anything else you
can do, and that's good. But if you sit in
the chair in the middle room, that's really bad. Now
you can't do that. You can't do that. And the
commanders would say, okay, thank you so much, and they'd
go in the room and they'd close the door.

And you give him a few minutes, and you go okay, okay, okay, wait.

And you open the door, and not only are the
commanders sitting in the chair, they have their arms wrapped
around it. They have already spray painted their initials on
the back of the chair. They have they have they
have made the bartender, they've tied up the bartender and
the guy doing so they couldn't keep them from being
in the chair. And they got their arms wrapped around

the bottom of the legs of the chair, which my
grandmother always hated.

You're ruining the chair. You're gonna ruin the chair. Don't
