I didn't think you're connection. No no, I was getting
ready to talk some hockey. This isn't gonna do it. There,
we know that's what we got right here. Oh yeah, buddy.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
This song goes out to Jason Tatum, his end of
game abilities on display.

Speaker 4 (00:54):
And how is your day?

Speaker 3 (00:57):
Down?

Speaker 4 (00:57):
By twenty we add the Celtics where we wanted.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Them, making shots left and right, making two free throws
to take the lead. It was out of sight, and
then everybody cried at night. Here was Jason Tatum, all
died up with a ball getting taken away by Bridges.

Speaker 5 (01:20):
Again, it's Tatum, Robinson, Chun, Tatum and.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Overington the right to fix a play for the next
They've got it, so for it.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
New York has got up two games to go New
York Go, New York Go, Go New York, Go, New
York Go.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
What are you doing.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
Frostburg?

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Wait?

Speaker 4 (01:53):
Wait, are you on my side now?

Speaker 6 (01:56):
No?

Speaker 4 (01:56):
But I'm enjoying this more than you. How are you
enjoying this more than me? Celtics are down o too.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Oh that is.

Speaker 6 (02:04):
New York.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
Yeah. But here's here's the question. I have to come
over the top of that. How many Celtics fans do
you have in your life?

Speaker 4 (02:11):
Mister Frostburg, Like you can't come on top of that.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
No, no, no, no, but you've got You've got the idea
of yeah, I get the history and banners and let's
have an arms race there. But you have to deal
with Smith when the Knicks are good and win in
your daily life. I bet you go through and you
don't have to think about the Celtics much at all,
and then you come here and you're gonna say, go
New York, Go, New York Go. What are you doing

(02:36):
to me?

Speaker 4 (02:37):
Did he pay you your go New York go?

Speaker 1 (02:39):
As far as you know, I did not buy dinner
for us tonight. As far as you know, I did
not do that.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
That's right.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
Yeah, I'm probably gonna get my brother evicted from his
apartments as in Chicago.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
Just as it was.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
And uh and and Monsey got the full Jason experience tonight.
Wow that sounded loaded that. Yeah, you yell at me?
What was that? Mon Come on, Monty. Moncey got the
full Jason Smith end of big game moment when I
didn't even know what I screamed when when Bridges took

(03:10):
the ball away again the second gamey game is gonna
end with Bridges taking the ball away, and Monty was
standing next to me, and she was excited, like, Moncey,
bet on it, Like I really thought you bet on
the Knicks. I really thought you did. Like the way
you were biting your nails, like, oh you bet on this,
you bet on this right here?

Speaker 7 (03:25):
I did it. I just I could not believe what
I was watching. I could not believe what I was watching.
And it's always exciting to be next to someone who
is so excited about it, like I just you know,
I was vibing with you.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
I was vibing with you.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
It was so good. It was so good.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
It was the full Jason experience. New York, New York, see.
It's catchy, isn't it. New York, Go New York. That's catchy.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Oh harmon, How glad are you're in Chicago the next
couple of days? How glad are you? How glad are
you for that?

Speaker 3 (03:55):
I don't know. The connection seems to be waning as
I sit here late on a Wednesday. I don't know.
Is this thing one with yeah?

Speaker 4 (04:05):
Uh so yes.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
For the second game in a row, the Knicks get
down twenty points in the third quarter, it looks over.
For the second game in a row, the Knicks come
back and win late ninety one ninety the second time
the Celtics had a chance for a game time or
game winning shot and mccal bridges took the ball away.

(04:27):
Game one, it was Jalen Brown. Game two, it was
Jason Tatum who dribbled in trouble and tried to pass out.
Bridges picked it off. And I want to say this,
Mike Carmen number one. I gotta say this, because I
got it. I have to say this. I need to apologize.
I need to say I was sorry because I wanted
to give mcal bridges away for nothing a week and

(04:49):
a half ago. They're gonna have to make moves at
the end of the season. We can't beat anybody who's good.
Bridges is a guy, he's not good. Being the third
or fourth option, I will drive him to the air.
Going into the series, I'm thinking, okay, if we can
get Giannis, Bridges will be the centerpiece of that trade.
Maybe Mitchell Robinson. Now no, no, no, I'll give five
more first round picks. You want five, But just because

(05:11):
I'm a nice guy and I want you to feel
that I'm grateful, I'll give five more first round picks
for m Cael Bridges.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
Yeah, six months of slander. I don't know that that's
gonna be enough to cover debt. No no, no, nor the
car macdebt is much larger than how many more picks?
No no, no, no no. They're like, you got to
figure out what his favorite charity is, what kind of
styling he does. Maybe you send him a nice watch.
I don't know. But the idea that you could just

(05:38):
come out here and go, I don't know, hey, hey,
more picks? Noan no, no, no no, I'll give we
can play back a full best of four hours of
you complaining about the guy. Sure, because you know, as
Moncey laid it out. You know, it's it's the best
and worst things. And I've said this for the eleven
years we've been working together. There are moments where it's like, boy,
I really I'm jealous that he has that level of fandom. Now,
you watched me in the studio last night after my

(06:00):
drafts Uh, pop fly hit off his glove and hew ahead.
Uh And what that was for me, White Sox Baseball.
You watched a little bit more of my soul leave.
Now it's like horcruxes. There's pieces all over those Fox
Sports radio studios and in stadium uh and you know,
multiplexes across the globe. Uh and and but for you,
like there, you ride that lightning to where you want

(06:22):
to fire everybody and cut them and give them away.
And then just like that, they they would replace the
family dog next to your side, just that fast. You're
the greatest thing ever, buddy Arnt.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
Yeah, I want an Afghan and I want an Afghan dog,
want an Afghan to wear.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
Yeah, you're kind.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
You want an Afghan wage record, I get it. Yeah,
all of that.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
Watching you watch games is kind of like the scenes
in Harry Potter when the Dementors show up and they
just start sucking the soul out of and that's the
dementor's kiss and they're just standing there's nothing they can do.
And you see the so you actually see the soul
leaving the body. Like hear that phrase, I watched his
soul leave his body. Now, that's kind of what it
is watching watching you the soul leaving the body me.
I'm all full patronis. Yeah, my patronas is mccal bridges.

(07:05):
Now look at this.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
Oh yeah, loah mora. Yeah. But depending on the date,
you may not have any control over what you're trying
to cast.

Speaker 4 (07:14):
It doesn't matter.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
You're like sometimes you know in that first learning experience,
right the first sequence of hey, bring out your patronas.
I can't do it. I can't do it.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Think about this and now I need to I wanted
mcal bridges. I thought he's not worth it five first
round picks. He's gonna be the centerpiece of a trade
in the offseason because clearly it's not a great fit
and he's not been great alsie for a guy as
talented as he is. Yeah, Brunson gets all the shots.
Anything get left over. It's Karl Anthony Towns and nobody's
a Big three and d player Heart's gonna get his

(07:44):
how is Bridges gonna slide in here? And it's been
a tough adjustment, but you know, he started out bad,
but he hit some shots in the second half helped
the comeback. And I mean two games in a row
where he makes a defensive play to save the game
at the end. The first time he just rips it
away from Jalen Brown. This one, I mean the defensive
play he makes because he gets Tatum in trouble and
knows that Tatum's going to try to get rid of

(08:06):
the ball. And the fact that he's able to leap
to the left and get his hand in front when
he knows Tatum's going to try to dishes because he
has no shot Like that's incredible anticipation by him.

Speaker 4 (08:16):
Is two games in a row he has saved the
last play there. I don't care what happened before. Now again,
five more picks. I'll give you five more picks, and
I'll pay Otani salary when it's due in like eight years.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
That's that's how happy I That's how happy I am
right now. I'll bet when you go him forty million
a year. I'll pay the first couple of years of that.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
That just tells me a couple of things. Number One,
I am grossly underpaid. If you're talking you can pay
Otani money so well.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
Because I bet every visiting team to win every game
in the second round of the playoffs and I'm up
like fifteen million dollars right now, So I'm feeling good.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
Yeah. No, if you if you bet enough, you want
to talk about the parlay from hell for although it
looks like, barring something really strange, that streak is gonna end.
But we'll get to that in a minute. But you know,
watching this fourth quarter once again, and and it's the
Celtics learning nothing from last time out. You look at
your two stars that you're anticipating, and we talked about

(09:18):
it yesterday. People can find the podcast about close out
guys and close out decision making. And once again, for
Tatum and Brown, they they go one for nine in
the fourth quarter. The only shot made was Tatum on
that break breakthrough dunk that they more or less allayed
the defense out it. Brown was circling back towards the

(09:39):
three point arc on the final play. A great double
team because he had what was it. Robinson was on
one side, and then you've got Bridges playing the passing
lane like there was nothing that Jason Tatum was going
to be able to do with the ball. He goes
up for the shot, I probably getting blocked by Robinson.
So it's it's game time. Exec Custian three point barrages.

(10:02):
What are we at twenty four point some odd percent
through the first two games of the series, and once again,
you just go through it. You've got two and a
half quarters of well executed balanced basketball inside outside and
taking care of you know, your mid range jumpers. And
then in the fourth quarter, now, forget it, let's just

(10:23):
abandon this. Forget about the fact that we own this
squad in the regular season, forget about all of these things.
And for Bridges right, zero points going into the fourth
and all of a sudden, he looked like he was
on playing at turbo speed. You know the video games
where suddenly you get to be three times as fast
as the rest of the action around you. That's what
it looked like. He was a man possessed. He also

(10:46):
could have shot them right back out of the game
and things had gone badley, but six of ten from
the field energy, defensive play, and Jalen Brunson was quiet
again until he needed to be and comes up with
the big shot to put them ahead with two minutes left.
So you're watching this as we do the analysis all

(11:07):
the time, and this goes back to our friends up
in the Bay Area and everything else, like, well, you
got championship document, right, You've got history, you've got guys
with playoff experience. None of that has mattered for the Celtics.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
Well look, and I'll tell you here's the thing is,
I disagree with you on the Celtics because it's not
like they played great tonight. That's what people are forgeting.
It's not Hey, the Celtics had these twenty point leads
and they played great. They played crappy in Game one.
The Knicks just played worse. Right, They still shot fifteen
for sixty from three point range this game. They didn't
play great, right, Tatum had an awful game, They played okay.

Speaker 3 (11:41):
Yeah, but you're still up twenty right right. No, I'm
not saying you're playing no, but you should be able
to finish the job.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
But it's not like, but if you were playing great
and up twenty, you're not giving that lead away. You
were playing just okay up twenty so you give you
let the other team hang around enough. Like I don't
think the Celtics have to look at these first two
games they played anywhere close to how they played. They
almost look like they're sleepwalking through the game, like, Hey,
we know we beat them bad during the regular season.
We know where the champs whatever mentally wherever mentally they

(12:10):
are right now, they're in a bad spot because even
in big moments of these games, they don't look like
that they have that hunger. They just don't have that
look that these are the champs and if you're gonna
take it from you gotta pry it from their cold
dead hands. This was, Hey, we're playing we're not playing well,
but the Knicks are playing worse. Let's just keep going
the game, keep the game going like this, we'll come
up with a victory and then we'll try to get

(12:31):
back to New York and take control of the series.

Speaker 4 (12:33):
Again. They didn't play well.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
And so the Knicks come back and it looks like
they're playing amazing in the last play, but the Celtics
just they hadn't played well.

Speaker 4 (12:40):
The Knicks just played way worse. They couldn't.

Speaker 1 (12:43):
They couldn't have any kind of flow on offense. Brunson
took a long time to get going, and nobody on
the Celtics could take the lead and say, hey, this
is a game where Jalen Brown's gonna score thirty five,
or this is a game where Hey White hits a
bunch of shots and egos for thirty Like there's been
none of that the first two games. Like I watch
the Celtics and I go, are they even live? Are
they really? Are they even alive in this game? Because

(13:03):
they're just going through the motions these first couple of games.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
Yeah, but through three quarters they still owned you. Yea,
so we because.

Speaker 4 (13:10):
Dick's played bad.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
And then the next we're gonna play We're gonna play great,
And the Celtics couldn't. There there's no raising They didn't
raise their level at all, you know, like the Celtics.
There was no hey, we're stepping things up now, we
know we're going for the killer instinct here. There was
none of that the last two games.

Speaker 4 (13:26):
None of it.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
Well, if you're gonna keep rotating out to bad three
point shots, selection hurried possessions, once things start getting a
little tight, I mean, you want to talk about world
class puckering, man, that's that. That and I'd love to
do a montage anybody that's really creative in the graphics world.
If you want to just do some shots of Celtics
fans you talk about my soul leaving my body. I

(13:50):
mean you could do that and group group work right there,
I mean, do it in bulk.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
For over forty years, Tirera's been helping customers find the
right tires for how, what and where they drive. Shipped

which is the way tire buying should be. Well, we'll
have more on this incredible achievement by the Knicks up
to zip and oh, by the way, we kind of

(14:14):
have to talk about my Knicks Pacers East Conference finals prediction.
Oh wait a minute, wait a minute, now, maybe that
can happen. But straight ahead, Yes, more from the NBA
and a big injury story that could affect the rest
of the playoffs. A's next right here, Jason and Mike

got a big question. Harmon needs to be the judge
right now to do the judge on this, I get things.
So here's Frostburg, who has done nothing but want to
troll me over the Knicks for basically the last decade.

(15:28):
For most of the last decade. It's it's okay, I
get it because you know, boy, the Knicks. But now
here he is singing, go New York, Go New York, Go,
playing all the big highlights.

Speaker 4 (15:37):
Go New York, Go New York Go.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Because Laker fan Frostburg, the Knicks have the Celtics down
O two. So bigger he'll turn, Mike Harmon, Hulk Hogan
or Frostburg.

Speaker 4 (15:50):
Bigger he'll turn.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
Well, I mean unless Frostbur is getting a giant check
or a bunch of extra food from you. I mean,
Hogan at least had a bunch of dollars incentives to
it all. He's just a man's soul.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
He's gonna have some wings. I mean he's gonna have
some wings tonight. So there's that. But wow, this, yeah, I.

Speaker 3 (16:08):
Mean that was the one thing in the final minutes,
like why I could have gotten a GUF free meal
out of this because Jason will be in a good mood,
I want you know, I mean that is definitely bigger
than than Hogan. There's no question. Yeah, I you know,
just one committing to the bit two man. We we've
kind of learned what old Cogan is time and time
a can so you know, I mean, it's that kind

(16:31):
of just sells itself there. But yeah, Frostburg aligning with you,
even if only for fifteen minutes. Now, you gotta be careful.
This could be an all k fabe work because you know,
if it goes badly in Game three, back at the garden.
I mean, he will drop you like you do so
many Jets quarterbacks after they've been fired.

Speaker 1 (16:50):
How many days in a row do I have to
tell you? Nicks Pacers Eastern Conference Finals? Right, the Pacers
win game one?

Speaker 4 (16:55):
Okay? No, no, Jason, you're crazy. Knicks win win game one. No,
they're not gonna again, not gonna go.

Speaker 1 (17:01):
Pacers win game two, doesn't matter. Nicks aren't gonna win now, Oh, Nick, Pacers,
He's Conference Finals.

Speaker 6 (17:06):
Here we go.

Speaker 4 (17:06):
We owe you.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
Let's get ready to Carlisle for all the bad calls
are gonna come your way because the desire to put
a big market team advance and in the playoffs like
it's happened for the Knicks the last decade plus.

Speaker 4 (17:17):
I get ready. I told you.

Speaker 3 (17:19):
Okay, so now you're going to the assumption that way,
and that's fine. You are now just ten to one
to win the NBA title. Yes, those are updated odds
that I've founded several sportsbooks. What's funny is you are
the fourth favorite to do so. You're third in the
Eastern Conference. So that's kind kind of funny as you

(17:39):
look at that. So okay, see and everybody else, no, no,
but here's the thing. It's it's just the living and dying.
Because the third quarter, if we were on air, that
show would have been much different, oh, much different, tone, tender.
And it's not to say that the Celticks were playing
good basketball, going owing back to what we were talking
about a few minutes ago, it's the you were playing
that much worse.

Speaker 4 (18:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (18:00):
No, So it doesn't have to be aesthetically pleasing. Down
twenty is down twenty.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
I would have said, we have them right where we
want them. We were down twenty the other night we won.
We're down twenty. Now I'm feeling good.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
No, New York, I appreciate the delusion. It's a it's
a wonderful thing. U. But now that it's been done twice,
I mean, now you they are who you thought they
are in terms of the Celtics and closing games out.
Uh and now you know, Bridges is there. They're gonna
build a statue or maybe they'll just rename a bridge.
I don't know the series odds even.

Speaker 4 (18:34):
They'll rename the bridge.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
Yeah, instead of the white Stone Bridge, it'll be the
mcal Bridge.

Speaker 4 (18:38):
Is the cal Bridge Bridges? My internet's out? Yeah here? Yeah,
what do you need Frostburg. I need you to answer
this question for me. Yeah, go ahead, what do you
got The Celtics won a game in the second round yet.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
Hang on, let me check, hang on, let me check,
let me hang on, hang on, let me check my computer,
hang on, hang on, hang on, And the answer is
hang on carry the four hang on and this no
Soto to home runs.

Speaker 4 (19:03):
Yes, I know. No, the answer is no, they have
not won a game. Wow, they have not won a game.

Speaker 6 (19:07):
No.

Speaker 3 (19:07):
I would love to be behind the scenes if you
were a an engineer building websites. Hey, Jason, we need
you to check every server. Make sure that the Knicks
haven't lost in any of those alternate universes. Make sure
it's updated on every server. That's how they could get
you out of a meeting that didn't want you to be,
you know, fighting with them over subject matter. But yeah,

(19:31):
ninety one ninety not exactly going to the Hall of
Fame game overall. No, no, no.

Speaker 4 (19:35):
The last times were James.

Speaker 3 (19:38):
Final four minutes where it's close, chaos and a team
looking like they forgot who they are, They've lost their
identity stone.

Speaker 4 (19:46):
And look and look.

Speaker 1 (19:47):
We we talked about the we talked about the Celtics
a few minutes ago and how they just look like
they're sleepwalking through this series. But you know who, all
of a sudden his leg. I mean, they won the
championship a year ago. But still it was, well, Tatum
wasn't the MVP, and yeah, Tatum supposed to be in that,
like it was still at arm's length, kind of like

(20:08):
people kind of felt about Tatum the way fans felt
about the Lakers when they won in twenty twenty, Like, yeah,
they won, but it was COVID and it was on
a neutral floor, which honestly is more difficult because you
played agat home court advantage and all of a sudden,
that big advantage was gone for the Lakers. But it's
still that's kind of how it went. And for Tatum,
it was yeah, they won, but yeah, maybe all time great.

(20:32):
You still tell that he still had stuff to do
and these last two games when he couldn't hit a
shot and he gets the you know, he goes in
for a final shot down. Look, he had the big
dunk that gave him the lead with fifteen seconds left,
which the Knicks didn't see coming. It was a great
decision by him. They had to pick set and he's
able to get right to the hoop and they think, okay,
we're taking the shot clock down. No great decision by him.

(20:55):
But then at the end he dribbles into trouble, doesn't
know where to go, and this is too really bad games.
And if the Celtics go out here all of a
sudden for Tatum, it's gonna be like last year didn't happen, Like, yeah,
every won the finals yest year, No, it didn't happen.
You lost to the Knicks. You lost to the Knicks,
and you were terrible. And I'm telling you that right now.
We're even we're starting over it. What do you mean

(21:16):
starting on we won the title last year? No, we're
starting over you and me right here from zero, Like, no,
you you were so bad in these playoffs and we
lost to the bleep and Knicks, who we beat by
fifty every time you played them during the regular season. No, No,
that's what's gonna happen, the Jason Tatum legacy. You're just
watching it spin and spin and go really slow and
kind of go down the drink. You all here watching

(21:38):
when you drop your someone drops their wedding ring into
a real small where it goes down the sick. No there,
that's what's happening in Jason Tatum right now. His legacy
and the the optic of him throughout the league takes
such a big hit. If they lose a series again,
it'll be like they didn't even win last year.

Speaker 3 (21:54):
Oh for him, it became that you weren't the MVP.
You had other players that got their shine right, whether
it was Derek White and his heroics in a couple
of those games, Jalen Brown certainly seemed to be the
guy that was the more assertive and aggressive of wanting
that mantle. But here you're trying to go back to Tatum,
and it begets that other conversation that we've had about

(22:15):
the NBA, and certainly we hit it the last couple
of nights with the way games have closed out, is
do you have that guy that you trust that you
can just say, like, for better or for us, I'm
putting the ball in his hands. I don't know if
the Celtics have that guy right now? Bit a hot potato, right,
you have the state think the.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
Thing is they have guys that can make shots, but
Tatum's clearly the guy. And it's so it's so crazy
because he's the guy that can get his own shot
more so than anybody else in the game because of
the way he handles the ball and his size, Like
I can get my own shot anytime, even more than Brunton,
who finds a way to get but like Tatum's like
one on one, he's almost unstoppable because I'm going to

(22:55):
get my shot. I'm gonna get a mid range jumper,
I'm gonna get through. I'm gonna figure something out. But
when the nick through the other defender out of it, it's like,
I don't know what to do. I don't know where
There was no other play. There was nowhere else to
go with the ball. There was Jalen Brown, anybody else white.
There was nowhere to go, and he gets it taken away.

Speaker 3 (23:12):
But I'm speaking to the whole fourth quarter though, right
in terms of we got to slow this down because
it's starting to look like a repeat of Game one.
And it was right, fifteen of sixty last time out
ten to forty. They took fewer three point shots. So congratulations,
is there still a nice even the math is easy, right,
twenty five out of one hundred, let's go percentages for

(23:35):
the win? But just the we can calm this down
and stem the tide right now, they're lacking that. One
is living and dying by the three point shot. The
other is the indecisiveness when that second man comes. Just
as you alluded to there in that final possession, but

(23:55):
all throughout the fourth quarter it was just bad possession,
hurried possessions, shot, clock running down. Just fire it up,
uh and then hope for long rebounds. Then that's wishing
and hoping. That's not a strategy.

Go New York, Go New York.

Speaker 1 (24:28):
All the heel turned by Frosbergers in full effect.

Speaker 4 (24:31):
Right now.

Speaker 3 (24:32):
He's got a chair, he's gonna flamethrower. We want tables.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
He's gonna come in looking like Arsenio Hall from coming
to America. When he's in all the all the Mets
and the Knick stuff.

Speaker 4 (24:43):
He's hey, I was sewn, Michael superkick you like you're
Marty Jeannetti.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
Nicely done. Oh well played.

Speaker 4 (24:51):
We got more coming up in ninety seconds.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
But first, let's find out what's trending for someone who's
been called the McHale Bridges of Fox Sports Radio. At
the end of every shift she comes up to you
would take something from you. It's Wonti Belogna.

Speaker 7 (25:02):
That's right, that's right, gone New York, Gone, New York.

Speaker 4 (25:05):
I'm with I'm with justin here.

Speaker 7 (25:09):
I mean, pretty incredible what the Knicks have done in
back to back games, being down twenty points, coming out
on top today ninety one to ninety Jalen Bruns and
mister clutch for a reason hitting the go ahead shot
late in the fourth quarter, ended with seventeen points and
seven assists, Karl Anthony Towns twenty one points, seventeen rebounds,
Josh Hart twenty three points, six rebounds.

Speaker 4 (25:28):
A total team effort.

Speaker 7 (25:30):
Aside from Mitchell Robinson's free throws that was not good.
Jason Tatum was five and nineteen free throw What that
was when the Knicks run.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
Started right after that, It's sure horrible free throws.

Speaker 3 (25:41):
Watched out badly.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
It was eighty four seventy and then the Knicks, and
the Knicks outscored him twenty four, twenty four to six.

Speaker 4 (25:48):
The rest of the world is just so flat, it's
just so fair.

Speaker 3 (25:51):
It was not a lot of up to eat that
moment of though, you know, yeah, let's break the tension.

Speaker 4 (25:57):
Yes, it's true, it's true.

Speaker 3 (25:58):
You're probably right, Jason Tate.

Speaker 7 (26:00):
And it was five of nineteen from the field, really,
if you think about it, at four of nineteen, because
it was that last dunk that made at five thirteen
points and fourteen rebounds. Jalen Brown was eight of twenty
three from the field for twenty points. Rudy Gay, former
NBA player, tweeted, I'm convinced nobody knows what to do
inside of the three point line nowadays, and I.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
Think, yes, exactly.

Speaker 7 (26:21):
The Oklahoma City Thunder have come out shooting the lights out.
In the first quarter. They shot seventy one percent from
the field. They've calmed down a leadle bit sixty two
percent still, so they're crushing the Nuggets seventy eight to
forty three with three minutes to go in the second quarter.
Shay Gildes Alexander the leading scorer for OKC. He's got
sixteen points, seven assists. He is five of six from
the field. For Denver, Aaron Gordon is actually no, not

(26:43):
Aaron Gordon. Russell Westbrook is the leading scorer. He is
four of seven for eleven points. Again seventy eight to
forty three. Late in the second quarter and the NHL,
the Maple Leaves defeated the Panthers four to three. They
now lead the series to zero. Right now, after one period,
the Stars and the Jets are scoreless. In Major League Baseball,
the Tigers and the Rockies are tied at six apiece

(27:03):
bottom of the sixth inning, Blue Jays and Angels are
scoreless top of the fourth inning, and the Yankees just
walked it off against the Padres four three and ten
innings thanks to a sack fly from j c Escara
pinch hitting. This guy's first year in Major League Baseball,
played eight years minor league, worked odd jobs driver as
an uber substitute teaching, literally gets called up hits a

(27:28):
walk off his first one, very emotional talking to John
Paul Morosi after the game. There is also a no
hitter that Cody Bellinger broke up. Dylan seze Is no
hitter through seven innings, but Cody Bellinger hit that, so
the Yankees win it. Twins outscored the Orioles five to two,
while the Royals edged the White Sox two to one
and the Reds top the Braves four to three. Billy
shut out the Raise seven zero. Red Sox took down

(27:48):
the Ranger sixty four. Alex Bregman with his two hundredth
career homer in the Dodgers crushed the Marlins ten to one,
and of course, Swan Soto homer twice as the Mets
outscored the Diamondbacks seven one.

Speaker 1 (28:00):
If you're blue an orange, today is your day. Your
dad is your day exactly so harm So I'm coming.
So I parked the car and it's eighty six eighty two.
I'm like, okay, eighty six. At this point it's eighty
six eighty two. I'm like, okay, I'm gonna run togein.
I parked the car in the parking garage, I lock up.
I jog all the way in because you know, I'm

(28:21):
in my fifties now, I don't I only run so fast.
And I jogged to get in, and I opened the
door and everybody is standing around the edit room and
Monty just yells.

Speaker 4 (28:30):
Bronson just gave from the lane.

Speaker 3 (28:32):
Brons just gave them the lane.

Speaker 4 (28:33):
I was like, it was just eighty six eighty two?

Speaker 1 (28:36):
What did I miss? And I stood in that one spot.
I said, I'm not moving from the spot.

Speaker 4 (28:40):
If we just took.

Speaker 7 (28:41):
Cramped in the editor's room, all of us watching the game, that.

Speaker 4 (28:44):
Is true, except for the jogging.

Speaker 3 (28:45):
No, no, But but if he was, I mean, that
is the slowest jog. I mean that is Tony LaRussa
going out to the mound a couple of years ago
when he was managing. I was much more.

Speaker 1 (28:55):
I was much more Jim Leland how he used to
walk out really really fast because he wanted to take
the you're out of the game like that.

Speaker 4 (29:01):
That was more me getting in.

Speaker 3 (29:02):
Hey, I'm wanted to get it back to his smokes.

Speaker 4 (29:04):
Yeah, I'm waving hey. How you doing?

Speaker 6 (29:06):
Hey?

Speaker 4 (29:06):
Hey? I got the next, I got the next, I
got the knicks, oh Brun's and just.

Speaker 3 (29:09):
Daved on the lead.

Speaker 4 (29:10):
Oh man, oh.

Speaker 1 (29:11):
Blue and orange, this is your time. Maybe the Broncos
will make a big move tonight any Boise State.

Speaker 4 (29:16):
Maybe I don't know.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
I don't know, now, manci, do you have Denver getting
thirty in this game?

Speaker 6 (29:22):
No?

Speaker 4 (29:22):
Okay, they don't.

Speaker 3 (29:23):
Okay, yeah and a half?

Speaker 4 (29:25):
Is it thirty and a half?

Speaker 6 (29:27):
Really?

Speaker 3 (29:27):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (29:28):
Man?

Speaker 4 (29:29):
Uh yeah?

Speaker 3 (29:30):
Over under two forty nine plus thirty and a half
right now.

Speaker 1 (29:33):
Luckily for the Thunder, they're not playing the Knicks because
it is an eighty to forty seven lead for Oklahoma
City right now, two minutes ago in the first half.
I feel pretty good about this, Mike. I feel pretty
good that the home team's gonna win their first game
in the playoffs in the second round. I feel pretty
good about that right now.

Speaker 3 (29:52):
Look at you. Great way to go out a limbit.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
Like like if I had that, if I if I
just kept letting it ride, right, Like, just say, let's
say I just kept letting go of. Hey, I'm betting
the visiting team to win the first like seven playoff games,
right and I'm six for six. But I'm going to
halftime down thirty five. I'm calling the casino going, Okay,
you want to buy me out? Hey, you guys want
to buy me out? What you want to buy me out?

(30:14):
You never know what could happen. Second half, Denver Jabal
Murray could get hot, you could get up. I'm calling
so called right, buy me out, buy me out.

Speaker 3 (30:21):
I think this is what yeah, I would say right now,
they're probably just kicking their feet up and laughing at you,
going hey, if that would be an act of God
at this point, typical payout. What are we talking? Six
teams like forty five to one.

Speaker 4 (30:36):
Man forty five to one?

Speaker 1 (30:38):
I would, boy, I really, I would have enough money
to get more to pay off Otani when it comes
time for the Dodgers.

Speaker 4 (30:45):
I could do it.

Speaker 1 (30:46):
I could, you know, spend time clear giving more money
to macal Bridges who clearly earns it. After the regular
season he had which was not great, but this last
two games, yeah he does. I could find a way
to just spread the spread the cash. I just make
it rain just over anywhere.

Speaker 2 (30:59):
I want to go.

Speaker 4 (31:00):
New York, Go, New York Go.

Speaker 3 (31:02):
I mean you bought Frostburg Soul, so I mean you
got that going for everybody's got a price for the
million dollars.

Speaker 4 (31:09):
My internet's down. Did the Celtics win yet? Hang on?

Speaker 1 (31:11):
Let me check, Let me check again, hang on, let
me let me hang on. Let me know they were
up by twenty. Hang on, let me check, hang up,
let me hit refreshed because he has twenty point lead
third quarter.

Speaker 4 (31:19):
Hey, nobody really blows the twenty point lead in the playoff. No,
no really, I think they're certainly not a second time.

Speaker 1 (31:26):
And and oh no, no they lost tonight.

Speaker 4 (31:30):
Shut up?

Speaker 1 (31:30):
Hey, no, they lost ninety one nineties shut up right now.
The Knicks one ninety one, you believe it? The next
one ninety one?

Speaker 4 (31:36):
Wow, the Celtics suck.

Speaker 3 (31:37):
Yeah, we got record setting performance and then performance.

Speaker 1 (31:41):
Coming up next Jason Smith, Mike Harmon. Yes, we'll have
the play of the day. Gee, I wonder what that's
gonna be, and we get into the big injury that
could affect the rest of the NBA playoffs. Keep it here,
This is Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific.

Speaker 4 (32:04):
I even love this.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
Song today, I even love this song. Celtics laws Nicks
one by up. They're up two games to none. Fox
Sports Radio, The Jason Smith Show with my best friend
Mike Harmon. We'll get to the big Steph Curry injury

(32:30):
in a second, but first, we have to get to
the play of the day. For over forty years, tire
Rack's been helping customers find the right tires for.

Speaker 4 (32:39):
How, what and where they drive.

Speaker 1 (32:40):
Shipped fast and free back by free Road, has a
protection with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation. Tire
rack dot Com is the way tire buy and should be.
And I thought, well, Sodo two home runs one of
those of the play the day. Oh no, we saw
your one Sodo two home runs and raise you on
Mikhale Bridges thieving at the end of game two against

(33:04):
the Celtics.

Speaker 3 (33:08):
You gonna go. They're not gonna use the time out.
Plenty of time here.

Speaker 5 (33:14):
It's Tatum, Robinson, Tom Tatum and l Tread.

Speaker 4 (33:21):
The right to fix.

Speaker 3 (33:23):
They got it they wanted.

Speaker 4 (33:26):
New York has got up.

Speaker 5 (33:28):
Two games, ton on.

Speaker 3 (33:30):
Empty tents again, empty end.

Speaker 4 (33:34):
Go New yourk go New your Goat, Go to New York,
Go New York.

Speaker 6 (33:37):
Go.

Speaker 1 (33:40):
Kevin Harlan, Reggie Miller on TNT with the call. If
every game ends with micl Bridges taking the ball away
from the other team, Mike Carmen, I think it's gonna
be a good rest of the playoffs for the.

Speaker 3 (33:49):
Knicks, who's the next victim?

Speaker 1 (33:51):
Every single Okay, I got you, Jalen Brown, I got you, Jay.

Speaker 3 (33:55):
Throwing ahead, Honey, who's the next guy up?

Speaker 1 (33:57):
Come on, let's go a just crossing off guys. It's
gonna take the ball away from you with his list,
you know. And here's the thing before we get to
Steph Curry, is that the Knicks identity up until this
year was what with Tibbs was defense, right, and they're
always going to play great defense. And they realized, Okay,

(34:21):
by making this trade for Karl Anthony Towns bringing mcal Bridges,
it's gonna be a little bit and when you get
to the playoffs, I said, okay, this this team has
just been terrible defensively during the see other team shooting
fifty to fifty five percent without too much of a
of difficulty. But the Knicks go back to, hey, we'll
give you that situational defense in the fourth quarter, when
all of a sudden, it looks like we are, you know,

(34:43):
the Amiba defense, or we are just giving you forty
minutes a hell it suddenly, when you can do that
in the fourth quarter, it looks it looks so much
more impressive and so much of a bigger deal because
you go from, hey, we're playing defense at this one
level the first three quarters. Now we're giving the situational
d that we can still pull off because we have
great individual defensive players in Bridges and Anunobi. So yeah,

(35:05):
good luck when we start to really turn it up
in the fourth quarter and the Knicks are playing that
situational fourth quarter defense.

Speaker 4 (35:11):
Oh, they playing it to the best.

Speaker 3 (35:12):
Yeah, we had a good laugh at the expense of
Robinson with his free throw right the miss. That really
is the most exciting random ISO play that you could
possibly have going. How do you possibly get that you
can just shoot straight right arms over your head trajectory
either way. Plus nineteen off the bench for him with

(35:33):
his six points eight boards. And Karl Anthony Towns, who's
been a bit of a punching bag over the course
of the year for times he didn't raise to the
level twenty one and seventeen minus two, but overall in
the fourth quarter again for the second straight day, he's
moving his feet in the final minutes on defense and

(35:55):
making tough shots.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
So a lot more in this game coming up in
a few minutes, because there is one Celtic legend who's
gonna have a very difficult tomorrow and wait till we
tell you why. But look, the big injury today in
the NBA, the real is gonna affect the rest of
the playoffs. Steph Curry going to miss about a week
with his hamstring injury. You know, we talked about this
last night and said, look, best case scenario for him

(36:18):
probably game four, maybe a little bit later. And I
know that that what this, what the Warriors are doing
right now is the smart thing. He's gonna be out
a week. We're not gonna do this every single day.
How is Steph today? How's the treatment? Can he play
in game game two? Can he play in Game three?
Can he play in Game four? He wants them to know, Hey,
we're not gonna have him now. We're gonna adjust the

(36:39):
next couple of games. Right, Steph will come back at
some point, but he's going to adjust. We said last
night Game four, Game four seems like it's a little
bit maybe on the on the early edge. But I'll
tell you what, for a guy that's never really had
injury issues throughout his career, he's never really had hamstring
injury like this before. He's not prone to it. I
would be really surprised if he doesn't come back for

(37:00):
Game four on the game Game four, because Game four
is where you really might be in a rubber hits
the Road type situation, because let's just say, suddenly, Okay,
the Taguls get it back, they even the series, they
take Game three, you need Game four if you're gonna
keep this thing going. So I like, Steph Curry's got
to be missing a leg to not come back for
Game four and play at home in this game that

(37:20):
could wind up being the game, the game that helps
push them into a three to one series advantage themselves.
Like Game four is such a huge one, and I
really I know he's hurt, and I know he's dinged up,
but he almost has a week before Game four. I
would be stunned if he's not back for that game.

Speaker 3 (37:35):
Yeah, I mean we've had a couple of isolated things
through his career. I mean, certainly from where he's started
in all the draft evaluations in that first year of
wondering what you can be with his ankles being the
thing we were watching all the time, it's been an
incredible run of durability. In this case, they bought themselves time, Right,
So we're not evaluating for a week. Well, that's what

(37:55):
we're gonna tell you. But every day he's getting treatment,
where is he on the continue We're just not making
it a public spectacle. And Steve Kerr, fortunately you've been
able to unleash Buddy Healed the last couple of games
and all of a sudden, he's that guy that you
wanted and so many teams fought for in the trade markets. Right,

(38:17):
you want to talk about the most evaluated trade analyzing
a bit in those programs, Buddy Heald's name probably was
the most searched all the last couple of years. But yeah,
you buy yourself time. See if you can't steal another
one before you've got to force him back into action
because you know he's gonna want to play earlier, so
you want to make sure you're not, you know, forcing

(38:40):
yourself into a foolish decision to be smart with it,
but putting out the notice of it reevaluated a week,
it gets everybody to leave it alone, like, all right,
let's go evaluate the team over here and you can
go work in a vacuum.

Speaker 1 (38:54):
Yeah, and that's why I said they want to get
past this storyline. For being an everyday thing for the
next five or six day and they did that. Now,
the flip side of this is if the Tea Wolves
still lose this series, Steph Curry is out and they
still wind up losing. I don't know that it gets
more embarrassing in a playoff than this. You come in

(39:14):
after beating the Lakers and Lebron and Luca, and you're
thumping your chest and feeling great, and all of a
sudden you lose to a team that is not built
to withstand the loss of their star.

Speaker 4 (39:23):
There's certain teams.

Speaker 1 (39:24):
That, hey, if we lose a guy for a little bit,
this team is not built to withstand the loss of
their star. And you turn Buddy Healed into a latter
day version of Scottie Pippen in Game one and you
allowed Jimmy Butler to getting the way Back Machine. Hams
still gonna give you a twenty ten and eight kind
of night like this would. I don't know that there's
a more embarrassing loss you could have here the Timberwolves.

(39:44):
Then you lose this series if they're playing the majority
of the rest of it without Steph Curry.

Speaker 3 (39:49):
Well, I appreciate that sentiment, but you're still the Celtics
are still saying hold my beer.

Speaker 1 (39:54):
No, no, the Celtic They're just getting out played right now,
man it just give the next credit.

Speaker 3 (39:59):
They're just no, no, Dary, New New York, Go New York.

Speaker 6 (40:03):
Go.

Speaker 4 (40:03):
There's a hill turned Frontburg. Go New York, Go New York.

Speaker 3 (40:06):
Carefully, cheer your ass go New York, Go, New York Go.

Speaker 1 (40:10):
Coming up next, one Celtic legend is gonna have a.

Speaker 4 (40:13):
Lot of attention on him tomorrow. Wait till we tell
you why. Fox.

Speaker 2 (40:21):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (40:36):
Fox Sports Radio The Jason Smith Show with My best
friend Mike Harmon. Denver has hit fifty Actually have sixty
nine points tonight?

Speaker 3 (40:44):
How about that?

Speaker 1 (40:46):
Except Oklahoma City has one hundred and four. So yeah,
it looks like the home team is gonna finally win
a playoff game in round two.

Speaker 3 (40:53):
Plus thirty two and a half. Jason, what do you do?

Speaker 1 (40:56):
Five? Dame Betting might get the sixty before it's over.
But we'll have more on the NBA coming up in
a few minutes, but a big day in the NFL.
We saw a big trade go down. Maybe the Cowboys. Wait,
maybe the Cowboys could be a playoff team. Maybe joining
us now in the hot line, longtime NFL Insider, Pro

(41:16):
Football Hall of Very Good voter. Check them out on
the thirty third team. It is Jason cole ja Cale.
What's happening?

Speaker 6 (41:23):
Man, go astexdu a ry beautiful, It's just beautiful.

Speaker 1 (41:33):
Do you think that Jerry Jones thinks that he traded
for Carl Pickens today?

Speaker 6 (41:40):
He thinks he might picking.

Speaker 4 (41:44):
Look, I'm going to do things my way, and my
way is terrible.

Speaker 6 (41:54):
This is one of those moves where it's like subtraction
by addition.

Speaker 4 (42:02):
Oh, I still want to steal that.

Speaker 1 (42:03):
This is subtraction by addition, right, Okay, So you don't
like the George Pickens trade for the Cowboys.

Speaker 6 (42:11):
Oh, I can't say that. I wouldn't touch I wouldn't
touch George Pickens.

Speaker 3 (42:18):
With yeah, thirty nine and a half football nicely cartoon.

Speaker 6 (42:26):
Like you couldn't. You couldn't pay me to put me
to put George Pickens on my team. I can tell
you that right now, no way will is it? That
was like one person today. It's kind of a red
flag if Mike Tomlin because up on a player.

Speaker 4 (42:52):
Yeah, he puts up with a lot, that's Janus. Yeah,
he puts up with a lot.

Speaker 6 (42:57):
It's like it's not red, it's fire engine red. It's
just just so, what like is there a warning two year?
Like after all the years. This is a guy who's
you know, Antonio Brown and tolerated Antonio Brown for years,
but now he can't have George Pickens on his team

(43:19):
out that but oh the Cowboys, let's see, we drafted
a guard. Nobody got excited about that. Nobody's really gotten
excited about our free agency. Let's trade for George Pickens
and this is gonna what We'll hook our future on.
The guy, a guy who like just will not run

(43:39):
out a route you know, ever, will yeah, just will
never play consistently. Like there's some he has some amazing moments,
like there was that one catch during training he had
with timing, and then he'll have a game where I
have like having catchers for one fifty five and two
touchdowns and okay, it's now happened. And then it's like,

(44:03):
hath happened? Not even close, not not that just won't
run out route, but he'll argue with his quarterback. He'll
be upset with what's going on. You know, they hated
him in Georgia, they hated him at Pittsford. They're gonna
it's gonna take about six months and I'll hate him
in Dallas too.

Speaker 1 (44:26):
So you really have no You have no confidence that
Brian Schottenheimer is not the guy to get the most
out of George Pickens.

Speaker 4 (44:34):
You have no confidence in him. Wow, that's that's really something.

Speaker 6 (44:37):
My favorite is Brian Shottenheimer. The story that came out.
Was it earlier this week or was it last week?
I can't remember where it was. Oh, they're rearranging the
locker room in the and the Cowboys. It's Cowboys's alive
to get players, you know, leaders closer together. It's like rearranging, rearranging,
get chairs on the I've heard that. Yes, that's about

(45:02):
the five hundred times I've heard about a team, you know,
trying to you know, change team chemistry by like reassigning
the locker room. And we're doing It's like, yeah, this
is not this is not you know HDTV television show.
You know that's not what this is.

Speaker 3 (45:22):
This is not you know, no, j Jcobs, Well it's borderline, man.

Speaker 1 (45:26):
This is this No, no, this is this is high school.

Speaker 4 (45:29):
This is high school. Because I was the one that
would I was the one that had to deal with this.

Speaker 1 (45:33):
I was going to say, after like the first couple
of days in class, my teacher would say, mister Smith,
why don't you take a seat up here in the
front near me. I know you want to sit in
the back of you. Why don't you come sit up
near me? I got to change the classroom to make
sure people are paying attention. I'm going to take the
guy who can't stop talking, and I'm going to put
him right in front, away from his friends, like that,
like that's all.

Speaker 4 (45:52):
That's a strategy.

Speaker 6 (45:53):
Yeah. Well, and on top of that, I'm just going
to bring in this malignant personality too, just like on
top of that, like here, let's rearrange everything, like yeah,
this is Brian Shottenheimer's stig idea is to do a
home rento show. Like he thinks that that's a great idea,
and then you're going to give him George Pickens Like

(46:15):
it's just again, Mike Tomlin, a guy can who manages
human being better than just about anybody in the NFL, right,
I mean, say what you want about Tomlin in terms
of winning playoff games and stuff like that, but this
is a guy who's gotten the most that it's real
wreckage of human beings. Like again, Antonio Brown, but he

(46:37):
gave up on George Pickens. That tells you. And George
Pickens is supremely talented. Like they said, give me dk
Metcalf and make let me take him five hundred billion dollars,
but we will not keep George Pickens on a minimum
salary contract. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (46:57):
I really wanted to see those two gids working out
out but on the field this year. So do the
Steelers now think they get extra bonus points for degree
of difficulty of wins or what?

Speaker 6 (47:10):
I'm sorry the Steelers get extra well.

Speaker 3 (47:15):
Just based on the roster that's currently assembled. Like now
there's rumors that Allen Wizard is an answer. I mean,
come on, this is not.

Speaker 6 (47:24):
Let's just say that right now, if you're picking over
under with that with their quarterback situation, what are you
thinking about five or six?

Speaker 3 (47:33):
Like yeah, five and a half? Yeah, probably?

Speaker 6 (47:36):
Yeah, they better they better know that that Rogers is
showing up. They need they need something They because if
he doesn't, if he backed out on them, or if
you know, they've read the situation wrong, it's gonna I mean,

(47:56):
it's gonna be so hard for the team to compete,
to be is even with Rogers if he shows up
and me, you know, and played David who really plays well.
Nine wins like like, isn't that sort of the feeling
for this team, given you the strength of the division,

(48:17):
given where they're playing. I mean last year they had
really easy schedule and it was easy to seets that
we're going to get off to like that six into
seven and two start, which is what I think they did.
It was really predictable, and then they had to play
in the division and things get we can play hard
for them.

Speaker 1 (48:34):
Jason coll Our, guest Jason Smith, Mike carbon Locke from
the Fox Sports Radio studios. All right, so away from
the trade now the other big story Today Tom Brady
does a podcast with Logan Paul and they asked him
about Hey, Shador Sanders dropping in the draft. What happened
with you guys? And Tom Brady says, Oh, I don't know.
I wasn't in on those conversations about him, and then

(48:55):
he went on to get mad at the media was
able to they can say whatever they want to and
all this stuff. Okay, here's the thing, Jay Cole, he mentored,
schador stands shud door Sanders is wearing number twelve because
of Tom Brady and really nobody yet. Brady did not
give his opinion at all about your door Sanders. They
never even asked him. No one was ever there. No
Brady was out of the loop and they were evaluating

(49:17):
quarterbacks so they said, hey, he takes your.

Speaker 4 (49:19):
Door standers or not. Brady was not involved at all.

Speaker 6 (49:25):
Tom is Tom's a really nice guy. You know, it's
his sad's birthday. So let's kind of a break, you know, like,
that's that's such a Brady's birthday or it was yesterday.
Let's not really get on Tom about this.

Speaker 1 (49:43):
Why are you trying to write a book on Tom
Brady's lives? How are you doing is how you're doing
called the Tom Brady stories?

Speaker 6 (49:50):
How you're doing this is no, it's this is such
a staggeringly bad lie. It's so absturd. It's such an
absurd is the lie? That is? Like, how do you
even like, how do you even begin.

Speaker 3 (50:05):
To like.

Speaker 6 (50:07):
To take it seriously? How do you how do you like,
look at Tom and go share? Tom? Do you want
me to believe that? Like, come on, come on, Tom,
you were all over the drafts. You were in there,
you're the part owner of the team, you brought in,
you brought in the general manager, and you didn't say

(50:33):
anything about the guy who you've been talking about in
previous podcasts. And he's been talking about all the time
how tight you guys were in your relationship, Like you
spent all that time talking about your door. He talked
about you got, how tight you've got? How do you
how do you check back and forth on a daily basis? Right,

(50:58):
But when it came to a draft supercuring talent, Oh
I was. I wasn't in the room, you know, like
my dog ate my lunch. By the report I do
somehow like didn't get into the file. Like, yeah, we're
supposed to believe that. Come on, Tom, stop stop, it's

(51:24):
not it's not true. Everybody knows that you have an
opinion about the guy and you didn't like him enough
that you didn't want on your team. For five rounds.

Speaker 3 (51:38):
Yeah, they had a lot of picks, they drafted another
quarterback and here we are now, you try to do
the side stepping, you know, as a member of the media.
I mean, you've got to be forthright and just honest
with your opinions all the time. I mean, what's he thinking.

Speaker 6 (51:52):
I mean, it's just like, hey, you know, we had
to make an evaluation and we it didn't work for us.
Just say that I'm saying that I wasn't around for it.
I can't. Don't just come up with a come up
with a better why, Like, you're just not You're not good, Tom,

(52:13):
Like you're not good, like the NFL showed with Professional Wars.
You're just not ready.

Speaker 1 (52:20):
You're too nice, You're like when when when Kate Hudson
tells William and almost famous, you're too nice for rock
and roll. You're too nice, Tom, You're too nice, man,
You're too nice for this.

Speaker 6 (52:30):
Yeah, exactly, you're not You're not built for them. Don't
do that. Ye, that is almost It is such a
great mother, by the way, isn't it that's my favorite movie?
Is it your favorite?

Speaker 3 (52:47):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (52:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (52:47):
You kidding?

Speaker 3 (52:49):
You just open a huge door here in your relationship
j Cole without even knowing it.

Speaker 6 (52:54):
Like that, This is like the mix of movies. Is
that what you're saying, oh no.

Speaker 1 (52:58):
This is this is more like the This is more
like the Mets and Jets of movies, like like put
them both together.

Speaker 6 (53:06):
But that's fact.

Speaker 1 (53:08):
Okay, So it could be the Nix of movie. It's
the macal Bridges final possession on defense of movies. That's
what it is. He's on Twitter at Jason Cole sixty two.
That is at Jason Cole sixty two. Check him out
on the thirty third team as well. J Cole is
always buddy, appreciate it, man, We'll talk to you next week.
And Joy here he goes, I love that Brady story.

(53:30):
Yeah I wasn't in the room.

Speaker 4 (53:32):
I wasn't.

Speaker 1 (53:32):
And then he wants to go and get mad at
at media that can have opinions on things and all
they could just can say whatever they want to. Dude,
Come on, man, really, you're the part owner. You're mentoring
the guy, and when it came time to discuss him,
why I wasn't in the room. Yeah no, I'm not
there for that. Oh, because that's the part where we
have the guy that knows football more than anybody else,
who has an inn with a quarterback more than anyone else.

(53:55):
But we don't want to talk to him. We don't
want to talk to him about that.

Speaker 3 (53:58):
Yeah,
