Let's give this you're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (00:29):

(00:51):
buying should be. Well, here we are Monday Night football.
At the end of the first half. If you like scoring,
you like the game, even though it doesn't seem like it.
There's a lot of field goals. Then there was a
lot of touchdowns, and to no one's surprised, the Dallas
Cowboys are in charge of this game. Right now. Over
the Raiders. Raiders get a field goal at the end
of the half. But twenty four to nine is the score.

(01:14):
Three touchdowns for Dak Prescott, including one to George Pickens.
You'r heort Moncielogia's plate, and the update where the Raiders
just stopped running out let him cut back and said,
oh I'm tired. Yeah, that's fine. You guys go in.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
You recognize you're two and seven coming into this game.
You're terrible. The holidays are coming. You got other things
on your mind.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Yeah, how old. If you wanted to see that cool.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Avatar halftime, you were more worried about making sure you
had a good seat for that.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
That's what Pete Carroll said on the on field interview too.
I want to get into the locker room right now
and see that Avatar thing. So thanks Lisa, we're gonna
go in.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Yeah, we got five minutes because we need to be
back out here so we can see the thing, the
drone they've got flying around the field, because that'll be
really cool as a cross promotional thing. But forty nine
and a half was the total for this one. We're
already at thirty three, so you're feeling pretty good if
you had the over.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Now we do have a fair bit of drama from
the first half in this game. But oh no, that's
not drama. That's that's like, that's low hanging fruit. The
first thing is this right, you know, we'll get to
the Cowboys part of it in a second. But for
the Raiders twenty four to nine and Gino Smith sixteen
out of twenty eight. Yeah, for one hundred and sixty
seven yards the long first half and a pick, it

(02:25):
was Yes, the second half is just getting set to
kickoff now, sixteen out of twenty eight. He is having
a horrendous game. And not to mention the number, the
countless number of times he has thrown the ball up
for grabs. Dallas can't come up with an interception, you know,
because they're the thirty first ranked defense for a reason.
But I just can't help but feel right today, we
know we saw the end of Justin Fields as the

(02:47):
starting quarterback of the NFL, when Aaron Glenn said, Okay,
we're going to finish this experiment now because he's terrible,
and to Rod Taylor is going to be the starter.
I can't help but feel we're watching that happen now
for Ginos. Gino had a great run getting at the
back half of his career. He got into the right
system with Pete Carroll in Seattle was a borderline top

(03:08):
fifteen ish league average quarterback, made some plays, but you
can see he is clearly at the end now. He
has not been able to put points on the board.
He's had a couple of big games, but outside of that,
the Raiders' offense is terrible. He has not looked good.
He leads the league in interceptions, all his throws are dangerous.
He gets sacked much more now than he used to

(03:29):
in the past. And I just can't help but feel
that we're watching the end. And at some point the
next week, maybe it's after this game, you're gonna see
the Raiders will say, Okay, Geno, thanks, Kenny Pickett will
come in and play, Ken Stabler will come in and play,
Jim Plunkett will come in and play. And obviously they'll
be in for a new quarterback next year. But the
era of Gino as a starting quarterback in the NFL,

(03:51):
like that's coming to it. We watched the end for
Justin Fields now today, and the end for Gino is
coming real soon.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
Yeah, we get to that same point of wondering you
know how cripple the dead cat money is for future runs.
But you signed the deal. You've lived with it as
long as you can. The offensive line is terrible, as
we've watched all year long. They've had some injuries that
took even their best players off the board. But Gino
taking what three sacks already. We've seen him throw the

(04:18):
ball in harm's way. We've seen other plays where he's
clearly not on the same page with the receivers at all,
where it's five yards out of bounds, you know, fifteen
yards from where the receivers are route broke, and then
he's just kind of looking at him and shrugging. Now,
one thing that did come off the broadcast, they're not
exactly giving him a whole lot of support here is

(04:38):
they're run in play action. But Ashton genty has two
carries at the head.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
You're not full of me. You're not full of me.
You're not gonna tell me you're gonna hand the ball
to a running back when you only have two carries.
You even had on the radio broadcast, Kurt Warner turned
to Kevin Harley goes, this is right, right, he's only
got two carries.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
What are they doing you know that kind of thing.
So where Kurt's raised his hand going wait, wait, wait,
what do we got going on here? You got a
guy that was one of the most heralded running backs
coming out of college in a long time.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
He's got two carries.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
I know you don't like your offensive line, but hey,
we're gonna run play action. It's gonna fool them and
open things up downfield.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Sure you know. And and the thing watching about gino right,
it's it's it's not that every pass is bad, but
just think about this for a second. He just threw
on a third down play. He just threw to brock
Bowers in the flat and Bland is standing right there,
gets his hand up to knock it down. Could have
easily been an interception. He puts the ball in dangerous

(05:37):
harms way. And I don't mean where Hey, here's a
pass that's gonna get knocked down or incomplete. He puts
the ball in harm's way where ooh, that could have
been picked probably once every three throws, right, That's that's
kind of what watching him tonight like once there like
he'll make a good throw, Okay, then I'll make a
bad throw and a throw bey and then don't put

(05:57):
one way. Wow, that should have been picked off again,
Cowboys that there again. Their defense is ranked thirty first
for a reason. Uh, but you can't live that way,
and that's kind of I mean, he's got to understand that. Okay,
if my guys aren't getting separation, I can't just throw
it there and hope that they're gonna get it right.
There's gotta be you gotta find some sort of scheme

(06:17):
to figure something out. But for the most part, for Geno,
that's why he's near the end. He is putting again,
He's putting the ball in harm's way every third pass,
and that you know, that's what I mean. You're gonna
see the end of gene because you can't keep throwing
a guy out there that keeps turning the ball over
like Gino does. Right now, Obviously the defense is not
playing well tonight, and the Cowboys can do whatever they
want to, but you can't have that going forward. And

(06:39):
you see the frustration level.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
Like I said, it's very very coincidental that that, but
a lot of allegories and a lot of comparison to
make with Hey, the Jets, like we saw enough of
justin field's not turnovers, but we saw enough of you
throwing the ball poorly. We're not gonna have a team
the last seven eight weeks of the season if we
continue to put you out there. The same thing for
the Raiders. We're not gonna have a team if we
continue to put you out there and you continue to

(07:01):
turn the football over. So maybe it's after this game,
next game, but you are seeing the end of the run.
And it's been a great second act. It's just ending
really badly. But this is the end for Gino.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
Yeah, with most Hollywood films, I mean, the third act
falls apart.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
I mean we.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
Watched that all the times like that, Wow, you really
had me for that first hour and fifteen minutes and
then I was done. But with Gino Smith coming into
this game, you had more interceptions than touchdowns, just eleven
to twelve. But you know that that is in today's
NFL rarefied air still completing nearly two thirds of his
past attempts. Fine, but the number of potential chaos throws

(07:39):
have been high. And against this Cowboys defense and now
they have reinforcements, you're inspired to a degree.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
Getting on the field.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
The memory of Kneeland fresh in their minds and a
lot of talk before this game, so you know, thoughts
with them because they're clearly trying to get back to
the business of football after a bye week and every
thing that went on there. But you know, you got
some reinforcements, so I thought you'd get a better effort
from the defense. But to this level, I mean, I

(08:08):
also still want to ask Pete Carroll's like, are you
just gonna put genty and bubble rap? At this point
you knew your team wasn't gonna be any He's setting
things up for the next head coach. They probably say, listen,
we're gonna replace you at some point.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
Just make sure he doesn't get hurt.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
Jean Robinson Arthur Smith had him in that box, like,
you know, he's really explosive. He can do some things
to maybe make life easier, you know, for your rapidly
descending quarterback.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
Not the hell with that. Next for the next coach,
We'll do it. Don't worry about it. He's still gonna
be great. He'll just be great for somebody else. That's
all it's gonna be.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
And boy, and for two guys that I just want
to highlight here coming out of the weekend.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
Great game.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
We'll get into the Browns in earnest for the offensive
side of things. But for Miles Garrett is what I
what I wanted to say, because he and Max Crosby
really great to watch, and Max Crosby made a big
play early in this game.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Do you think they regret it all?

Speaker 3 (09:01):
I mean, I know the guaranteed money is all fining good.
But every Sunday or Monday night, when you know you're
gonna go and just get your ass kicked, does it
get tired?

Speaker 5 (09:10):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
Maybe go to the bank the next day and you
feel better. Do you have bad s? Yeah, on a
Sunday and then I feel good the rest of the week.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
When you're soaking in the tub, you feel a little
bit better, I guess now.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
Meanwhile, the drama for the Dallas Cowboys, this is gonna
be one of the more sought after postgame press conferences
from Jerry Jones and Brian Schottenheimer. Ced Lamb and George
Pickens not on the field for the first drive in
the first few plays the Cowboys had tonight. Was it
an equipment malfunction, was it something that happened, Was it

(09:45):
an injury situation nobody knew. And then midway through the
first half, sideline reporter Lisa Salters said, we spoke to
the Cowboys, got a statement from them. It was a
coaches decision that Pickens and Cede Lamb were not on
the field for the first drive. The coach is domb coincidentally,
the best drive for the Raiders because they've just been
doing anything they wanted to since they've been on the field.

(10:07):
So a coaching decision for the two best receivers on
the Cowboys to not be out their beginning of the game.
So we're gonna get that post game. But man, as
you can see, the Cowboys are one of those teams
and you know, we talked about it with the Eagles
last week where you see the numbers, see what they're
doing here in the first f Yes, it is the Raiders,
but Pickens and Cede Lamb didn't start. Didn't matter. Pickens

(10:29):
just caught another passer about fifteen yards and he made
three guys miss. The Cowboys are one of those teams
where you could see this story and I don't know
what it's gonna be, but I'll front guess this and
I'll say I don't think this is going to be
anything the Cowboys are gonna look at and say, oh,
this is gonna tear our team apart. The Eagles are
great at dealing with adversity and living in dysfunction, right,

(10:49):
we saw it this week. They lived in dysfunction all
last week, and they shut down the Lions on Sunday
night saying, yeah, we're still the big bad guys in
the NFC. The Cowboys another team that, Yeah, controversy does it.
They swim in controversy every day. Now, generally it's not
always on the field. It's off the field. It's Jerry Jones,
it's drama. But I don't think there's anything that happened

(11:11):
in this game with Pickens and Ceedee Lamb that they're
gonna be able to move past, because look, they already
have moved past it. Okay, I mean you know, the
two of them tonight combined for one hundred and eighty
two yards receiving. Okay, I mean they got two touchdowns,
eleven catches. There is nothing they're not doing Cowboys. That's
the one thing. Oh there's controversy, there's drama. No, the
Cowboys breathe it. So I have no problem believing that

(11:34):
whatever it is with the two of them, it's gonna
be okay because it already seems like it's okay. They
were late.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
If it was a real issue, they wouldn't have played right.
I mean, you're down for a couple of plays. Did
you learn your lesson?

Speaker 1 (11:47):
Eh?

Speaker 3 (11:47):
But rules are rules, right, Yeah? You have to hold
folks accountable. It's the old joke with the Cowboys, Jimmy Johnson.
What would you do if Troy Aikman fell asleep, I'd
wake him up. What would you do if it was,
you know, the last man on the roster, I'd kick
him out and make an example of them.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
You know. It's it's that kind of thing.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
Hey, Troy, do we need to go through that again
because you were napping. But for Lamb and for Pickins,
we see what this offense can do. I mean they
bring destruction. Javonte Williams has had a fantastic year. But
Troy Aikman in the broadcast is like, well, they've got
a three wide receiver set. And it was an ISO
shot of Lamb and Dickens on the sideline to where

(12:23):
he's like, wait, what the hell?

Speaker 1 (12:25):
This is interesting? Bold strategy.

Speaker 3 (12:28):
Cotton kind of thing coming out of dodgeball, and then
Lisa Salters came back with the coach will address it later.
So I don't know that I've ever wanted to hear
from Schottenheimer more surely on his first day.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
Do you think Jerry Jones lets him talk about it?
Do you think Jerry just takes over when they said
when Lisa Salters said the coaching decision, that made my decision,
so to ask me, I'm the guy to talk to now.
So they went to one of the last remaining buffets,
so they miss curfew. You know I'm the coach, right,
I mean it's one of everybody knows I'm the head coach,
and Brian's a guy that I like, and uh, he's

(13:02):
there wearing the headset. But you know, coaching decision that
that's me.

Speaker 3 (13:05):
Now, if we could sync that up to where we have,
you know, Jerry Jones lips moving calling off the play sheet,
that would be something spectacular.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
We're gonna run red rot Rocket four to six, toss
power Trap, go ahead, I'll run it, and oh take
CD and George Jason for that first see way too
early for Red Rocket. What we got we got no
to Red Rock, get way can't run Okay, I got
Steven Steven No, I mean, it's ten o'clock east. Go
Steven's got to tell me, can't run that play. Can't
run that play. I don't know what that was. Got
to run that run that play. Maybe a orange rocket,

(13:33):
but not red. We got to run the annexation. You
want to go full red annexation of Puerto Rico. Let's
run that one too. I saw that work in the
Giants game earlier, but they all seem really small and
wearing different jerseys. But they ran that play for a
big touchdowns. We're gonna run that one too. They kept
calling the little Giants. Don't know why the regular giants,
but okay, little giants. It's kind of juck a position,
little like like jumbo shrimp. You know, you got little

(13:55):
giants like.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
Well, I mean we saw little giants getting in a
fight with the judgment. Damn domin mysterio a little bit
at raw and I too, so everybody in the news.
There was a great completion just now to George Pickens,
and it was one of those teetering things as he
was being tackled. I really thought he was gonna flip
the fall in the ball to Ferguson and let run
it instead. He's down inside the five twenty four to

(14:16):
nine Cowboys with the lead knocking on the door. Pete
Carroll just looks puzzled on the sideline every time they
cut away to him. We'll have more on this game
coming up.

Speaker 6 (14:24):
Next.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
We have NFL insider Jason lock and four. All the
latest on the Cowboys drama, on the sudden Browns quarterback drama.
What's next for Kansas City after they got beat on Sunday?
What about the team's making big quarterback changes? Jason lock
and four Always a must listen. It's next right here,
Jason and Mike.

Thirty one to nine. The Cowboys with the lead over
the Raiders during the end of the third quarter, but
controversy fresh in Dallas. George Pickins Ceedee Lamb did not
play the beginning of this game for the Cowboys and
what is being termed as a coach's decision. Joining us

Speaker 6 (16:55):
Doing all right? Baby? Doing all right? Prime Time window
has been pretty good to us at want to miss
pretty good?

Speaker 1 (17:00):
Did you bet that Pickens and Ceedee Lamb wouldn't start
the game? Did you get did you cash out on
that one?

Speaker 6 (17:06):
I did not. But I mean, I'm laying points for Dallas.
I'm on Dallas money line. I'm doct to throw at
least two passing touchdowns, Gino to throw a pick, and
at least twenty four points for Dallas. So yeah, watching
them on the sidelines and watching them go three and out,
it's have me wonder. But I don't know how much

(17:28):
we'll find out after the game, how much shot and
Himer will say, obviously it didn't effective way they took
this game over, and really it looked like anybody could
be the star for Dak Prescott tonight. You know, Ferguson
got his Lamb got his Pickens got his. I think
if they wanted to just run it down their throat

(17:49):
all night, they probably could have done that too. The
Racers defense, you study it and you look at the
numbers and then you watch them play and you're like,
I really don't think they're that good. But the numbers
don't look that horrendous. But they've been blown out some
of these games, and teams have just you know, golved
it back a little bit. Teams have been willing to
just sort of grind it on the ground against them,
and they haven't faced that many good quarterbacks, and when

(18:11):
they faced good quarterbacks, they've been exposed. And tonight's another example.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
You know, I want to go back to something you
said a couple minutes ago. You said you had a
Gino Smith to throw a pick, like they'd actually take
bets on that, Like isn't that like a certainty? Like
I can't believe that's still up there for you'd actually
bet on.

Speaker 6 (18:27):
Dude. It was like an opening like minus one twenty five.
I kept like, I kept looking at the app like
sitting it, like looking back at it and like trying
to hit refresh, and I'm like, oh, it's an half,
you can't refresh it. I'm like, is this real? And
even today I glanced at it and it was like

(18:47):
I want to say, I saw those like around minus
one fifty. I thought it'd be like more like minus
one eighty five twenty then miss this one wasn't egregious
and it wasn't like entirely on him. But it's now
happened twenty two times in fourteen home starts since it
started last year, and that's with two different teams. I mean,
I think this is now I've picking thirteen of his

(19:11):
last fourteen. Overall, he's played a nineteen career primetime games.
He's saw nineteen picks, So yeah, it caught my attention.

Speaker 3 (19:21):
Yeah, some good holiday generosity. And if you parlayed all
those things you laid out, you might retire.

Speaker 6 (19:25):
I wish I did. I wish I'd have the ball
to do that.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
That would be some next level stuf.

Speaker 3 (19:29):
All right, let's go to the game closest to you,
the Baltimore Ravens and the Cleveland Browns.

Speaker 8 (19:34):
Now.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
First off, the Mark Andrews play to seal.

Speaker 3 (19:37):
It might have been one of the greatest little reverse
wheel moves that we've seen.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
But where's lamar at? Physically? It don't look right.

Speaker 6 (19:45):
Not good, No, not good. I mean, look, he called
his own number first play the game, and while he
didn't break away, just watching him out on the edge,
his lateral movement, his hips, his twitch. I'm sitting there thinking,
all right, he's letting you know that he's back. And
then we never saw it was, you know, maybe two
more runs in the rest of the game, and there

(20:07):
was nothing special about him, and he looked to deteriorate
pretty rapidly mentally unphysically in that game. It's clear he's
frustrated by his horrific offensive lines. It's clear he's frustrated
by some of the red zone play calling and all
the run round pass that's become predictable. And I'm a
big Todd Monky guy, but they've gone out of their
way to try to re establish Derrick Henry's this battering ramp.

(20:28):
And the bottom line is he's the least efficient shortyard
he's running in the NFL this year. You can look
it up, and they keep leaning into it every time
they get in the red zone because it's like, well,
now is the time we're going to show you, and no,
you end up in third and eight in the red
zone in a constricted space, and then you're running gadget
plays and weird stuff, and like Lamar is also his

(20:49):
part of the reason you might be running it all
the time in the red zone. He's being glitched more
than anybody else in the red zone, and he's being
pressured on twenty four percent of his dropbacks in the
red zone, winning place. The league average is seven point one.
So like, they've got yeah, they've got issues. The defense

(21:10):
has gotten much better, only three offensive touchdowns allowed this week,
seven that's best in the NFL. We do a buy
in there, but uh, I they haven't faced straight teams.
But the defense has got its mojo back a little bit.
The offense, though, has major issues again the offensive line stakes.
So I don't think they're going to go very far
in the playoffs because it's you can't get pressure against

(21:32):
decent offensive lines. Then you can't eat Miles Garrett from
getting a hat trick before halftime. It might not be
your year to hoist the Lombardi.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
Jason locking forward with us Jason Smith Mike Harmon live
from the Fox Sports Radio studios. All right, now, it's
not often that the quarterback on the opposite side of
the field, for Lamar gets a lot of attention in
more than he does. But that's where we're at. Chadora
Sanders makes his NFL debut yesterday, a little roughle. You
should have had more reps with the ones. Now it
looks like we're going to get Chadors and this week
it doesn't like Dylan Gabriel is gonna play. Uh, what's

(22:03):
what's your take on this unfolding? And now we're going
to get the Schudior Sandos experience.

Speaker 6 (22:08):
Oh look, it's clear to me that Kevin's the fancy
want nothing to do with this, and he made it.
Anybody knows anything about football can just tell that he's
in every single way from from the way he references
him or refuses the reference him a press conferences like
Kevin's a smart guy, Kevin's really sharp. I think Kevin's
done with to me have and if this is the
wedge that he can use to get his ass out

(22:28):
of that in a year where he would be the
most covetent head coach, and I don't even think it'd
be that close, Like yeah, I think he's got enough.
So it's pretty clear the owner wanted them to take
this kid. They already took a kid who's worse than
him two rounds higher. Uh, and that was their guy.
And so he's he hasn't prepared him to play, And

(22:49):
I would I would have thought that the scenario where
he still would have been the third guy and it
would have been zappy like even the way he ends
up making his debut. It seems to me everything's been done.
This happens, and I mean, whether it's really the kids
called the middle and it's really again just his way
to get out of there and force the owners to
make a decision. But yeah, I mean it's it's bad.

(23:14):
But the idea that Joan Gabriels, even an NFL backup
let alone, deserve this look, and they were going to
stick with him until he got hurt. I mean, based
on what it's not an NFL body, it's not an
NFL arm. He's behind a bad offensive line with no
real weapons, Like I don't I don't know, man, But

(23:35):
at least chadroll get you know, at least this, you know,
the center should know what his staden sounds like by
the time he gets the first start. So that'd be good.
That'd be that'd be.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
Progress, a little bit of progress there.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
Look, if Stefanski, if they want any kind of titles,
he could just do the Costanza, tie it to the
back of a car and drive around begging to be fired.

Speaker 1 (23:51):
But uh, here we we have it.

Speaker 3 (23:54):
Uh Denver and Kansas City, a thriller, paint drying out
a wall of time, but Denver wins again. Do we
buy the Sean Payton formula or are we still on
the wait and see?

Speaker 6 (24:09):
I mean I think I buy it. I mean, look,
I thought Amy reid Off a bye with a chance
to get back in the division race, with the team
as healthy as it's going to be, with Denver looking
a little bit wounded, oh next looking vulnerable. That was
a chance, man, that was a playoff game. And for

(24:32):
them to have laid that egg in Buffalo and followed
it up with this, and I know the rest of
the schedule, the road games don't look that daunting and whatever.
But no, they've got issues there. They've got issues. You
start getting twins like this, you know, Superman, all of
a sudden, there's some kryptonite out there. I don't know, man,

(24:56):
I don't think they're used to this, and I don't
think they're handling it very well. And to be the
team that nobody could beat in a one score game
last year and now they can't win a one score
game to save their life, Like, I don't know, I
think that's not just like natural regression in football. Gods, Like,
something's off there, and the offensive line hasn't gotten better,

(25:19):
and Mahomes is not having a good year, and Rice
came back and he texted ten balls for one hundred yards,
Like there's no there's still no explosion, there's nothing dynamic. Yeah,
and the thing is, it's not even like a few
years ago where this started to happen. But they were
an elite run team with Pacheco and they could get

(25:39):
in you know, Andy was willing to sell out to
run the ball, and they'd put the extra you know,
they'd be out there in jumbo formations, the sixth offensive lineman,
and they'd be they would be committed to being a
physical team. But that's not them this year, and they're
caught in between.

Speaker 4 (25:51):
And they don't get enough volume in the run game
or enough productivity in the run game to protect that defense.
And there's too many empty drives and the red zone
offense hasn't look to say since Jerret McKinney got hurt,
and that's a long time ago. So no, I think
things have caught up to them, and they're that division
has gotten a lot tougher, and the Chargers are probably
cooked with the state of their offensive line and Herbert

(26:12):
beat up. But Denver's not going to wilt. They're not
going to fall apart. And while the quarterback has his works,
he shows up in the fourth quarter man and every
time he had to step up, even in that playoff game,
he's he's done.

Speaker 6 (26:25):
It doesn't mean he don't start digging his own hole
at times, but he finds the way to dig his
way out of it. So with Sean Payton pulling the
strains in that defense and a chance at home field
advantage in the year in the AFC where it looks
as wide open as ever, you know, Lamar doesn't have
a usual Lamar thing going on. Josh Allen is, that's
not the Bills. Teams that everybody thought were known as

(26:45):
the Bills teams have all kinds of issues. So yeah,
by Denver, all right.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
Jay, let's get to a couple of quarterbacks that are
either losing their jobs due to injure your ineffectiveness, and
we're going to get the Kirk Cousins experience. Back in Atlanta,
Michael Pennick Junior gets hurt, he's expected to miss the
rest of the season. You know, I just look back
at this and I go eighteen months ago, the Falcons
just made such a huge issue with the quarterback room.
We're giving Cousins the money. Okay, that's great because other

(27:13):
teams would have done that. But then you don't go
and draft Michael Pennix or you don't give Cousins the money,
and you draft Michael Pennick, and now they didn't have Pennix,
who was alternately good and you know, frustrating a little
bit this season. So now here comes Kirk Cousins for
the rest of the way.

Speaker 5 (27:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (27:31):
I mean, look, it's that offensive coordinator stinks and he
doesn't like Cousins, and Cousins doesn't like him, and I
don't know how this is going to work. But I mean,
I don't think there's anything Zach Robinson going to do
to keep his job at this point, because I think
that whole coaching staff is getting fired now. But it's
gonna be I'm gonna be kind of fascinating to see
how this plays out, Like they're going to keep making

(27:54):
any stupid pistol sets when nobody has to defend his legs,
like well I hear, I mean, the worst, the least
athletic version of Cousins every would say something. I don't know, man,
I don't know how it's just going to go down
because Cousins just go rogue and just do his own thing.
And if he does, I mean, even with London beat up,
there's still a decent amount of talent that you know,

(28:14):
hats off to Zach Robinson. He put the ball in
Dejon's hands last week at least, So there's that. Yeah,
the whole thing is bad and ugly, and they needed
to get Cousins out of their building, but the owner
wouldn't commit to eating the money that it would have
taken to do it.

Speaker 8 (28:29):
So that's a weird place, man. Like, that's one of
those openings that I'm sure they'll go try to get
a McVeigh offensive guys this time instead of a mcveay
defensive guy. But like, I don't know that those guys
are constantly available, Like I don't know if he's producing
them this quickly. So it'll be a quarterback guy and
it'll be all about, you know, restoring Pennies that I

(28:50):
would say they're the ones who didn't build Pennix up
the proper way from the guidea up, including that quarterback
room they thrust them into and pairing him with an
offensive coordinator who three, he was not ready for that job.
He's still not ready for that job. Almost two full years.

Speaker 3 (29:03):
In and the Rams had their first round pick next
year and they fired Ike Hilliard.

Speaker 6 (29:09):
It was all his fault, yeah right, Yeah, putting the
wide receiver coach out in I'm in late September, early October.
That's uli a sign that the coordinators are fraud.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
He's on Twitter at Jason lock and four. That is
at Jason lock and four Odyssey one oh five seven
the fan in Baltimore, Washington Post. Jenny, thanks as much,
and oh hey, and enjoy since he was bench, I
enjoy next year when Justin Field signs to back up
Lamar Jackson for the next five years.

Speaker 6 (29:34):
What they could do, That's what they should do. It
would be awful. I'm rooting for that.

Speaker 1 (29:39):
Yeah, until you see him have to play.

Speaker 6 (29:42):
Hey, if I'm a Ravens fan, I'm glad it's it's
talked to Tyron whatever he goes by these days, and
not just jus Fields could have ran for one hundred
and thirty yards on each shot.

Speaker 1 (29:53):
See you, bunny, We'll talk to you next. Is it
have a good one? Jason locking for a lot more
optimistic about the Jets chances just a little bit. Yeah, man,
I'll tell you. Look, Justin Field's getting replaced as Jets
quarterback today. You know the thing is about the guy

(30:14):
if he could just he lost his job because he
simply can't hit wide open receivers like three four times
a game. If he would just complete the passes he
needs to win Garrett Wilson is wide open in the
flat and not overthrow a guy on a big third
and six and put your defense back out there, because
that's all it is. It's not that he's not incredibly great.

(30:34):
It's that he can't hit wide open guys at least
four times a game. It's you got to hit that
if you're in the NFL. And look, and I've told
you about him. If he throws the ball in the
middle of the field, he's good. But anytime he's got
to go outside the hash marks, forget it. It's an
airmailed ball re.

Speaker 8 (30:51):
Act.

Speaker 1 (30:52):
I don't know how he's still in the NFL when
after all this time, he still can't make those throws.

Speaker 3 (31:00):
Route how to unlock the physical guy that we remember
from Ohio State and glimpses that's the reach of his stops.

Speaker 1 (31:07):
That's the bar that said is that all you have
to do is three or four times a game, hit
the wide open guys when there's no pressure on you
and there's five yards between that that wide receiver and
the defensive back. And instead the balls in the stands. Like, remember,
we're also going into week twelve. We're already into the
mid fifties in terms of quarterbacks who started a game
exit out about a Fresco exit, swollen dome. Time to

(31:29):
find out, now, what's trending in the wide world of sports.
From someone who is now going over every single frame
of the final minute of the Clippers game with a
fine tooth comb, it's Mancy Belanos.

Speaker 9 (31:42):
I could have done that too for the next game. Yeah,
you mean the same boat here?

Speaker 1 (31:46):
Yeah, yeah, it was not goaltending, It was not. That
was a weird call there.

Speaker 2 (31:53):
Yeah, No, we'll start with the Clippers.

Speaker 1 (31:55):
Why not.

Speaker 9 (31:56):
The Clippers were kind of cruising through the seventy six
for most of the game until Tyrese Maxi. He really
turned it on and brought the Sixers back to life,
outscoring LA in just the fourth quarter thirty seven to
twenty five, and that was enough. Philly won it one,
ten to one. Oa Tyrese Maxi thirty nine points in
the win. Paul George also made his debut today, which

(32:18):
makes this even more annoying that the Clippers lost. He
had nine points and seven rebounds in his debut.

Speaker 1 (32:25):
James Hardy had twenty eight points.

Speaker 9 (32:26):
He has actually reached twenty eight thousand career points. Not
too shabby there. The Heat held on to defeat the
next one fifteen to one thirteen. It got close there,
but the Heat made it out. Norman Powell had nineteen points,
leading Miami Raptors over the Hornets went ten to one.

Speaker 8 (32:42):
Oa.

Speaker 9 (32:43):
Timberwolves defeated the MAVs won twenty to ninety six. Thunder
rolled past the Pelicans one twenty six to one oh nine.
Shay Gil just Alexander twenty three points in that one.
The Pistons have won ten in a row against the Pacers,
this one one twenty seven to one twelve, and the
Cavaliers took down the Bucks went eighteen to one oh
six on to Takoopal left the game in the second
half with a groin strain. For Milwaukee, Donovan Mitchell ended

(33:05):
with thirty seven points. One game is still going on
and it's the Bulls who have taken the lead from
the Nuggets in Denver. What altitude ray harmon? What altitude
I can breathe? Bulls are up ninety seven to eighty
five two minutes to go in the third quarter of
that one. Also, Lebron James is listed as questionable to
make his season debut Tuesday against the Jazz Victor one.
Bayama's gonna miss a few weeks of action because of

(33:27):
a capstrain for the Spurs. In the NFL, the Raiders
got in the end zone, but the Cowboys are still
up right now thirty one to sixteen.

Speaker 2 (33:34):
It's still early in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 9 (33:35):
Dak Prescott has thrown for two hundred and forty six
yards and four touchdowns. Ashton Gent, Let's just see how
my fantasy team's doing. Real quick, guys, Ashton Gent five
carries and eight yards. Great, Thank you so much. Other
NFL news take touch yeah yeah, yeah, no, is it
rece no desperate running?

Speaker 1 (33:59):
No no, no.

Speaker 9 (33:59):
I actually think this one is like super standard, like
the most basic of them all.

Speaker 1 (34:04):
So I'm doing great there.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
Texans quarterback CJ.

Speaker 9 (34:06):
Stroud remains in concussion protocol, didn't practice day, and you're
probably not gonna see Michael Pennox Junior for the rest
of the season. The Falcons quarterback is headed to injured
reserve after aggravating a bone bruise in his knee, and
ESPN says he won't play again this season. Lastly, James
Franklin has a new home. Virginia Tech has hired him
as their new head football coach.

Speaker 1 (34:27):
Woo back to you guys, thank you very much, Monsi,
Jason Smith, Mike Harmon live from the Fox Sports Radio Studios.
Coming up next, we got the Play of the Day,
and it's not often we have something huge from an
injured star NFL running back that's going to make you go,
what the hell is happening? That's next right here, Jason
and Mike Fox.

Speaker 2 (34:48):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific.

Speaker 1 (34:55):
Fox Sports Radio The Jason Smith Show with my best
friend Mike Harmon. Early in the fourth quarter, a Cowboys safety, yeah,
has given them a thirty three to sixteen lead. We'll
have more on miss in a few minutes because this
was a typical Raiders play. Bud Cowboys getting the football
back now with just under twelve minutes left to go,

(35:15):
they lead at thirty three to sixteen, but time now
four very special play the day brought to you by
tire Racks for over forty years, Tirack's been helping customers
find the right tires for how, what and where they drive,
shipped fast and free, backed by free road hazard protection
with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation. Tiraq dot
Com is the way tire buying should be. Well. When

(35:36):
you are retiring and you make what is likely your
last appearance at Madison Square Garden after an unbelievable career,
you get to be the play of the day.

Speaker 2 (35:49):
Shine up, what the time is right now at MSG.

Speaker 1 (35:55):
On the roof, just lifted off this place shuffle and

(36:17):
his name is John c WWE Monday nightra It's beautiful.
We got a fifteen knuckle shuffle.

Speaker 2 (36:28):
Come on.

Speaker 1 (36:28):
Great end, great end of the match for John Cena.
Who is Scario, my guy Shamus. It was fighting in
the middle of his retirement career, in middle of the
retirement tour going on.

Speaker 6 (36:39):
All saw him.

Speaker 1 (36:40):
It was I saw him until I couldn't see him.
Then I couldn't see him. You know who I did
see though? As Yeah, you know I did see which. Wow.
If you're the New York Giants, you gotta call Cam
scattaboo and go Cam. We gotta have a conversation. So
Scataboo is at ww Today's at Rawson, huge wrestling fan

(37:01):
and obviously recovering from a very recent ankle injury that
it was ugly that is keeping him out for the season.
He's wearing a Ranger jersey and he's sitting near the
front and obviously he was in on a bit that
they were doing before one of the bouts. So Skataboo's
there in front, and you know, there's the back and
forth about how bad a place that New York City is.

(37:24):
It's him and Dirty Dom get after it. So Dirty
Dom says, oh, you know, oh, it's the last time
this city's won a championship. And he looks and he
says to Cam and he goes, you know, Cam, can
you count? Right a Camp Scataboo can you count? And
Skataboo of course gets upset, and there's a big WWE
Donnybrook and Camp Scataboo is in the middle of it. Yeah,

(37:45):
And I'm like, oh my god, if you're the Giants,
you're Joe Shane, you're the Mars, You're going hey, you're
calling hey Cam Ah, Look, yeah, we were okay with
you being involved in this. That's great, but wow, stay
away from the physical confrontations when you're you're in the
middle of a scrub man, you mean a lot to
this frant it's grey.

Speaker 3 (38:04):
You got all the giants sitting in the front row.
They get into it with the judgment day and Dirty
Dom on the mic, who's done a fantastic job as
one of the great antagonists fighting his old man as
part of this six man tag match. But then on
the other side, you got the Eagles in attendance too.
You got Cooper Dejen and Big Dom are there too,
so you got all sorts of potential casts.

Speaker 1 (38:24):
You could have just thrown them in the ring and
gotten after it.

Speaker 3 (38:26):
But so to Scatmo got in, I'm like, yeah, that
got a little too physical. Now he didn't take too
much wear and tear here, but just the potential I'm
sure has folks a little bit nervous. I'm curious what
the conversation was before and after.

Speaker 1 (38:43):
Hey, we're gonna be front row. They took care of
us down at the garden. Great. I don't do anything stupid.
I feel it's one of those Hey, listen, it's not
gonna be It's just gonna be me. They're gonna reference
it I'm gonna say something and then there's gonna be
a thing. Oh yeah, yeah, no, that's fine. Going well,
I mean, Shane's not gonna be here next year anyway.

(39:03):
What I'm back, So let's go, Cam? Can you count?
I mean, come on, it's a good bit. That's this
well wearing the Rangers sweater and the whole nine. Yeah,
the last time the city's won a championship and Camp's
it's in a Rangers jersey. Cam, can you count? I
mean that it's awesome, but like seriously, like I'm not
being a fun hitter, but I'm like, if I'm the Giants,

(39:25):
I'm like, oh my, oh my god, be okay, oh
my god, oh my god.

Speaker 2 (39:28):
What's happening.

Speaker 1 (39:29):
I can't even see Cam. There's just a bunch of
people standing over him. He's everything. He and Jackson Darter
are entire franchise. Just be okay, that's gonna be some
kind of phone call.

Speaker 3 (39:40):
Yeah, but he knows how to take a bump and
he's got plenty of time to recover.

Speaker 2 (39:44):
Okay, And.

Speaker 1 (39:47):
Yeah, the last I know, you were a little nervous
as you saw it. I was like, no, well, what's
what's his name? Got hurt out out of having dinner
the other night. Jack Hughes is out for like eight months, right,
he's you're here at you know w that's great blessing
you want is hey after a you know, I twisted
and fell the wrong way and Monday night raw. My
recovery is now set back for a few months after

(40:09):
coming Dominic Mysterios becomes a super villain. Like I'm really
I'm watching that going, oh this is cool. Oh my goodness,
this just it passed over from cool to oh now
see and I'm even a Giants fan, I'm like and
I felt bad for him, going, oh this is this
is not what any Giants fan wants to see.

Speaker 3 (40:26):
That's great because this is totally upstages Seena's final match
and then coming right this takes it to a whole
other world, right because just the largesse of Sina right,
all the acting jobs and and we talk about him
in the DC universe and a show that I love,
uh he and Robert Patrick getting after it and everything,
which is great, But now you have this taken to

(40:49):
a whole other level. The the explosion as he enters
the ring, and now it becomes about camp scat.

Speaker 1 (40:56):
This is this is gonna be where where the giants
call and they're like Duke in Rocky four, like when
when when Drago is sorry spoilers, when Drago kills Apollo
and and and Duke goes. This is supposed to be
an exhibition, an exhibision, That's what she's gonna say.

Speaker 5 (41:12):
This supposed to be just due and saying something and
not tackling him.

Speaker 1 (41:16):
That's what this is supposed to be. That's this whole thing.

Speaker 3 (41:19):
Well, he had his offensive line surrounding him, so that
should have helped.

Speaker 1 (41:23):
Exit out by a Fresco exit Swallen Dome. We get
back into ay big developing NFL story coming up next
right here, chasing and Mike Fox Sports Radio. He backs
at usc would throw a pick in the fourth quarter,
but now we're getting it all the time, Uh yeah yeah,
Or like when Russell Wilson would do one of those
drop backs but lose thirty yards instead of the thirty

(41:46):
yard drop back, get back to the line of scrimmage
and throwing complete like one where he actually would lose
a lot of yards. Like but that's like the that's
like the the the the normal Pete Carroll cutaway. Now
almost like I got explained, like I feel like he's
staring out not to played it with Pete. This is
what's happening right now. I just want to let you know.

Speaker 3 (42:02):
But they just showed the graphic, which is really pretty
frightening because it wasn't just an indictment on the Raiders,
but the way head coaching is done in the NFL
that Pete Carroll's the fifth coach they've had. Obviously Gruden
left under a bunch of circumstances whatever, but he's the
fifth coach since twenty twenty and there's three other teams
that have had.

Speaker 1 (42:21):
To see Oh yeah. So like we just start talking
about that chure and it's like, hey, we're gonna build
a punt now, We're not the next twice Campscatum. It
was like, fine, I don't have to ask this guy.
He ain't gonna be there. Coach is gone, Shane's gonna
be gone. I'll do what I want. The Raiders may
lose their status as best last place team in the NFL,
like they may not be. You know, you tried to

(42:43):
prop them up as that they were. They were the
only counting so much. They were a really good last
place team. Now they're probably the worst last the.

Speaker 3 (42:50):
Raider fans with the spiky shoulder pads, like the Road
Warriors or whatever.

Speaker 1 (42:54):
They only give you so much clout. There is no
set of plays or two plays that tells you more
about Raiders football. Right now, the one I'm going to
tell you about what just happened in the game that
gave the Cowboys their safety. So Dallas is punting. It's
thirty one sixteen, and you're, if you're the Raiders, you're saying, Okay,
there's still some time left. It's a two score game.

(43:16):
We're getting the football back. Okay. You know we went
down the field and scored a touchdown, So okay, maybe
we have an outside shot at this right, maybe we
have an outside shot. And Trey Tucker, who was taking
over the number one receiver responsibility, is back to field
the punt. He lets it bounce at the ten yard line, right,

(43:36):
which I mean I would be the best special teams
coach in the NFL because I would cut guys who
let the ball hit the ground. If you let I
want you to catch the ball and go forward. I
don't care if you want to punt back for a touchdown.
I want you to catch the football and go forward.
Those are the two most important things a punt returner,
catch the ball and go forward. That's all I want.
But Tucker lets the ball bounce inside the ten yard line.

(43:58):
So uh okay. Now the ball starts bouncing toward the
goal line, but Cowboys players aren't down there to get
the ball yet. So Tucker could pick up the ball
at the five and cut up field and get up
to the ten yard line at least maybe a little
bit more than that. But instead he kind of halfway
decides if he's going to grab the ball or not.
The ball bounces a little bit closer to the goal line,

(44:21):
and now the Cowboys are almost on it. Now is
when Trey Tucker decides, now I'm going to take the football. Wait,
he get cald He touched the ball in about the
three and a half yard line, tries to cut back
and gets tackled back at the one. So he took
a bad decision, made it worse, and then made it
really worse. He didn't just take a bad decision to

(44:42):
make it worse. He took a bad decision, made it worse,
and then doubled out and said no, no, I can
make it even worse. So then he gets tackled the
one yard line and for Brian Anger, that became his
twelfth pnth inside the twenty zero touchbacks because of plays
like that. So what happens, Well, the next play, the
Raiders have the football. They give the ball to Ashton

(45:04):
genty oh, only his fifth carry of the game, and
he gets swarmed, doesn't break the plane. It's a safety.
So now it's a thirty three sixteen game, it's a
seventeen point game, it's a three score game, and now
you're saying, what is this is typical Raider foot But
that was one of the longest reviews ever, almost like

(45:25):
they were hoping that the nose of the ball got
out of the end zone just so that you wouldn't
have the indignity of the safety.

Speaker 3 (45:32):
When they finally actually called Gent's name. Look, he can't
even get back to the line of scrimmage. They're justified. Yeah,
it was a disaster, but it's one of the great
symbols of sports. I mean, when you see the hands
go up over the top, I mean, come on, for
an official, that's that's gold right there. Other than saying
he's on the bottom of a pile, giving him one
of these. You really can't top that. First down motions

(45:55):
are great, show off the delts and the tricept and all.
But when you get to do the prayer pose up
top or you know, I dream of Genie or whatever
you want to ascribe to it, it's great. It's like
I feel like you're on Like if I was on Jeopardy,
and it would be Trey Tucker allowing the ball to
hit the ground, hesitating, hesitating again before picking up the football,

(46:16):
then getting tackled at the two, followed by a safety.

Speaker 1 (46:19):
But what is raider football? Yes? Select again, select again?
There you have it. All right, we'll create our own.

Speaker 3 (46:26):
Jeopardy category which gives you gems like that, because we
saw that across the National Football League a lot that
was absolutely I mean, I can't, I can't get over that.

Speaker 1 (46:38):
I realized.

Speaker 3 (46:40):
You get more of the Geno smithisms that you might
have been able to overcome.

Speaker 1 (46:45):
All Right, you're down two scores. He's moving the ball right.

Speaker 3 (46:48):
Because you start getting into a little bit of a
prevent defense and allowing him a little bit of space,
and then he still holds onto the ball too damn
long to get rid of it, winging it haphazard lead
towards the sidelines.

Speaker 1 (47:02):
Just chaos. Look and now like, when's the last time?
Just think about this for a second, right for the
Raiders and Cowboys. Cowboys took over on downs inside the
Raider ten yard line. We are outside of the two
minute warning, and the Cowboys are kneeling on the football.
When's the last time you saw a team kneel on
the football on the other side of the two minute

(47:23):
Why would you not go in and put the forty
on them?

Speaker 6 (47:25):
Like?

Speaker 1 (47:25):
When is when's the most I'd be like, I need
to feel bad for the when the Cowboys feel bad
for you, It's all okay. Now we got to look
in the mirror and go just what are we doing well?

Speaker 3 (47:33):
But they showed some of the first half stats for Williams.
The Cowboys feel bad. I mean like the Cowboys defense
coming up big. Didn't see that one coming necessarily. Ian
had an in our I Watch Flex podcast going it's gino, gino.

Speaker 1 (47:47):
I know this bit u sacks plus turnovers, But yeah,
we don't normally see a mercy international football. I mean,
I don't know the last time I've seen someone kneeling
outside of the two minute warning. I mean we've seen
this slide down in the final minute. It has to
be the Jets at some point. No, no, no, people
would have run it up. No no, yeah, yeah, yeah,
it's a it's a touchdown and it's the Jets. The
Chargers that that in that game we went to it

(48:09):
Jets Chargers that dude, that was probably the worst Jets.
That's the worst Jets game that I've ever been to.
It didn't know what time it was. No, that's the way,
that's where we the best play. The Jets had an
entire four quarters crossing midfield in the fourth quarter. No, no,
it was a roughing the passer penalty when Gino Smith
got hit late. That was the only play that was
at all day. Hey, that was Hey, I went to
a Bears game once where we didn't cross midfield. I've

(48:31):
seen this and guys broke that. I mean, I really,
I mean the kneeling on the football outside of the
two minute warning, Like, if that's not rock bottom for
the Raiders, I don't know what is. I don't know
what is. Yeah, I mean, it's it's just just bad,
bad football penalties that that take you back to.

Speaker 3 (48:52):
The edge of the goal line and then he's lined
up what six seven yards behind the line of scrimmage.
It's like, all right, head of stee now that offensive
line ain't getting it.

Speaker 1 (49:02):
I really it's at the two minute way. And the
thing is the Raiders still have timeouts. They still have
timeouts and and and the Cowboys are kneeling on Telby Carrol, Like,
what is going on here? What is happening? I don't
understand this game. I feel like that that's scene in
Misery when Kathy Bates is going, do you all have amnesia?

(49:23):
He didn't get out of the cock of duty car
like you're calling you're kneeling on the football outside of
the Hopefully there's something going on here that I that
I that I'm not picking up whatever. But they're kneeling
on the football and the Raiders aren't calling time out.
So I don't know if this is something that they're
that they figured out between the two I I I
have no idea, But I've never seen something like this.

Speaker 3 (49:45):
Well, I mean, you know, they anything use any of
their timeouts they gave up, man, why why bother take
them home with you as you go. But like, you
get to run forty seconds off each play, so in finite.

Speaker 1 (50:00):
What's the wait, wait, what's the over under on this game?
It was either forty nine or forty nine and a
half at thirty three sixteen and they're kneeling on the football. Yeah,
I have it at forty nine and a half.

Speaker 3 (50:10):
As the great I put up somebody's going to jail
so that no, no, but your your question was app
I had it in the notes of discussion.

Speaker 1 (50:20):
But yeah, it's it's certainly a whole other mess that
you add that that hook. I I don't know, I
don't know what this is all about, but we gotta
we gotta hear something about this after that. I mean,
I don't know, I've never seen this. And Schottenheimer's pulling
everybody off the field now and it's I don't I
don't know what's happening.

Speaker 2 (50:38):
Oh the game's not over, so that turnover on.

Speaker 1 (50:40):
Down Yeah yeah, so uh yeah, again, we'll get listen.
At least this game is bringing us all kinds of
controversial because we're gonna have the latest on on George
Pickens n CD lambler from Brian Schottenheimer, will hear from
Jerry Jones because the Cowboys two best wide receivers were
not on the field for the beginning of this game.
It was turned a coaches decision why they didn't start

(51:02):
for the Cowboys tonight against the Raiders. Now that being
said is we talked about it last hour and all
the controversy and how you know, Cowboys bathe in it,
so I'm sure this is gonna be fine. Look and
they actually played in the game. George Pickens tonight nine
catches one hundred and forty four yards in a touchdown. Right,
incredible night from George Pickens, who basically is showing, Hey,

(51:23):
I'm the co number one along with Ceedee Lamb. I
would this is where if you are the Cowboys, you're
Jerry Jones are He's somebody whoever George Pickens listens to
you get to him after this game and you say, Okay, George,
this is who you need to be this player. Not
about what happened with the bench, but you need to
be You can be this guy. You can be one

(51:45):
of the top five receivers in the NFL. All the
knucklehead stuff that you went went through and with the
Steelers that got you out of here, Hey look where
you are. You're lucky. Now you're in a lights out offense.
The Cowboys offense is one of the top three offenses
in the league. You can be one of these guys,
big contract, big superstar career, only twenty four years old.
Be this guy. Don't get off the path now. Don't

(52:06):
get off the path. Be this guy because you can
clearly and there's enough footballs in the offense between you
and CD. Right, we've seen that. That's fine. Now there's
gonna be a money thing and Terry Jones will have
to figure it out. It will be a whole big
drama back and forth. But just you can be this guy.
Don't get off this beat. You're on the beam, You're
on the path. Don't get off it now, because you
are proving just how good you are and how you

(52:29):
can be one of the leagues great for a long time.
Still continue to be this guy.

Speaker 3 (52:34):
It's always the curiosity to be that quarterback wide receiver
combination thing in Pittsburgh, and certainly the number of wide
receivers and we're not even getting to go down the
full Antonio Brown rabbit hole, but the number of wide
receivers that had issues there and had to be sloughed
off to other teams or left the NFL shortly thereafter

(52:57):
for George Pickens, a lot of questions like why why
so mad as things were going on there, but final
year of his deal. So now we start looking at
going ahead to twenty twenty six. Currently they've got twenty
million in cap space. We know selectively Jerry will spend money.
I think based on the way the defense rose up

(53:19):
after trades and everything they've done.

Speaker 1 (53:21):
He's just going to keep pointing going. I was right.
I was right. Most everybody stinks in the league, so
we stink just as as steaky as other teams. So
we're not there.

Speaker 3 (53:33):
Yeah, But you know, I didn't hate the Micah Parsons trade,
and it's just on the timing and the way it
kind of went down a lot of unnecessary slap fighting
in the media. But when you look at it going forward,
now you've got the pieces of your offense. You found
Javonte Williams, who was a guy that was a cast

(53:53):
off from Denver. You look at what Ceedee Lamb has been,
Jake Ferguson, you paid before the year and he comes
up up big in a number of spots in these games.
And now you you had George Pickens when Dak Prescott's
gotta be the happiest guy going, and certainly if you're
Jerry Jones watching this play out, because Williams is under

(54:14):
contract right on the defensive side for another couple of years,
is he not, So it's not like you have to
go back and rob the bank for him. So you're
in a pretty good spot. So go go pay Pickens
and keep this machine moving.

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
