Speaker 3 (00:29):
That'd be Friday the thirteenth.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
For those who celebrate Friday the thirteenth, I mean not
everybody does. There's a dozen teenagers somewhere that don't celebrate
Friday the thirteenth. Well, they celebrate it for a little while,
and they have sex and they smoke and they drink
and then.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
Come eat that ass up.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
That doesn't happen at Friday the thirteenth movies. That does
not Maybe in one of those after hours Friday the
thirteenth movies that happens, but it doesn't happen regular ones.
Speaker 4 (00:55):
No, no, no, it's all there are you saying what
happens on camera versus off camera?
Speaker 1 (01:01):
What happens at Camp Crystal Lake stays in Camp Crystal.
Speaker 4 (01:06):
And look, if you woke up today you celebrated the thirteenth,
so you're all good, let's go.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
For over forty years.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
Tire Rack's been helping customers find the right tires for how,
what and where they drive.
Speaker 3 (01:16):
Shipped fast and free.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
Backed by free Road, has protection with convenient installation options
like mobile tire installation. Tirerack dot Com is the way
tire buying should be. So it's it's kind of I
kind of like the fact that here we are Friday
the thirteenth, the only Friday, the thirteenth of the year,
and it falls while teams are.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
In camp for the NFL.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
Like this gave me a whole big idea for horror
movies today, like where the NFL team like there's maybe
have to be like I mean, like fifty three people.
I don't think, like Jason Vorhees, could you know, kill
like fifty three NFL players, But if it was like
a passing camp or something like the quarterback and some
receivers there was just like seven or eight of them, yeah,
then I think it could happen.
Speaker 4 (01:57):
So you can't get fifty three because of time constraints
or you say, well, it wouldn't ever take fifty three guys,
because if it's the former. I mean, go back to
the body counts of any of the John Wicks or.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
Yeah, we can't make it. N we can take care
of that.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
No, but you can't make a job. You gotta savor.
You gotta save her situations. John Wickets, Like, that's like
eleven guys he just killed in the last eight seconds.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
There's no savoring.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
You have savoring and pacing in Friday the thirteenth, and
you just have blatant body counts in John Wick to
just get bigger and bigger. So you gotta have some
kind of differentiation, you know. And plus I mean NFL guys,
fifty three NFL guys. At some point you get a
couple of big dudes, it would be able to take
out Jason. I gotta think that you're really not like
you're scretching, you know, credibility already, but like you're really
(02:42):
stretching credibility. Oh well, he just he just killed everybody
on the Ravens, all fifty three dudes.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
Man, I can't believe. That's unbelievable. And for day or not.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
Oh no, no, the older players that don't play anymore, Yeah, no,
they're the first ones to die. Like they show up
like for some sort of you know veterans, like like
All Star camp or something, and they're a little bit
out of shape and they give you a little bit
like they show you a little bit of their old form,
like you think, oh, maybe they could and then.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
Jason just you know, does away with them ring of honor. Yeah, no,
it ends up bad. I could see that.
Speaker 4 (03:16):
But I mean, you know, if he has the acumen
and know how up like lasers, I mean, you can
take away anybody on a certain line of scrimmage right
just by by in one fell swoop.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
See yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
See I'm thinking more like scenes like you know with
with the obviously, you know, turning it to the Jets,
like where Justin Fields has like he's doing one of
those drills where there's just like you know, he's got
like a hundred footballs in a basket and he's trying
to like throw through a tire and like Jason appears
through the tire and he starts walking real slow towards
him and the footballs are his only weapon and because
you know, he's got such a hose, right, I mean,
he could and he just keeps going, but he keeps missing,
(03:51):
like he just keeps missing Jason just Ball's flying all
over it. Boy, he's inaccurate as well with the bears
one at his feet, what over his head? And then
Jay and just calmly walks over and then just like
grabs them and like, you know, snaps him in half.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
Whatever it is?
Speaker 4 (04:04):
Is this the way we get ourselves into the movie
because we're doing play by play of his breakdown of Wow,
that inaccuracy is playing Fields his entire career since coming
into the NFL from Ohio State.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
Oh, now, I'm okay with See if you had play
by play in a horror movie, that would be fantastic.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
Oh, that would be a really bad move.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
And Justin Fields still he's oh for nine, now that
one's sailing over for he's his left shoulder not exactly
what Fields had in mind. He's looking to call a
time out for he's not granting it. He Fields just
down to two footballs. He fumbles one, He's down to
one football. He fumbles the second one untouched.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
Oh and there goes Justin Fields.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
Looks like Tarrod Taylor coming in time out on the
floor a sensational kill for chasing four.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
He's like, how great would that be? No, that's good.
Speaker 4 (04:55):
That's good, and keep working shopping this because we got
fifty two more guys to go after that.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
A sensational kill by the spectacular kill by Jason for
He's that will go uh now from Friday the thirteenth
and Jason Voorhees to the extender right now, halftime of
Game four of the NBA Finals, Thunder and the Pacers.
Pacers looking to take a big stranglehold three to one lead.
(05:20):
They lead it at halftime sixty to fifty seven, and
you know, everywhere you want to go on social media,
Scott Foster is everywhere. Look, there's a reason why they
call him the extender.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
You know.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
I think maybe at some point, you know, this morning,
when when the your or when when when.
Speaker 3 (05:35):
The phone rang?
Speaker 1 (05:36):
And Tony Brothers came back with the Cape and said,
here I did all I could do.
Speaker 3 (05:40):
You're the real extender.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
Okay, like kind of Captain America goes back and forth
between Steve Rodgers and Sam Wilson, Right, so just back
and forth.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
Yeah, sure, hey, here you take the extender Cape. You
go back.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
They call you, they need you. This is the NBA Finals,
this is game. This is not some crazy ass Nicks
Pacers right now. No, No, this is the NBA Finals.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
You gotta get.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
Out there, and clearly early on, you know, he's okay
sending guys to the free throw line, sending both teams
to the free throw line, for all this extending. Just understand,
the Pacers are sixteen out of I'm sorry, are thirteen
out of from the free throw line? Sorry, they are
eleven out of thirteen, and the thunder are sixteen out
of seventeen.
Speaker 3 (06:17):
So it's not a big discrepancy.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
Yes, it was a really bad flagrant foul that was called,
you know on Alex Caruso. But understand, like you'd think
the extending has happened, you ain't seen nothing yet, man,
SGA hasn't even been to.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
The free throw line yet.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
Of all the free throws, there have been thirty free
throws in the first half, SGA has none of them. Like,
come on, man, you have we have not even begun
to extend, right, isn't that the phrase, I have not
yet begun to extend.
Speaker 4 (06:41):
No, that's good, I have not yet begun to fight.
You're right, six of eleven. He did sit down, something
they were making sure to point out on the broadcast.
Maybe they're doing this to keep him fresh for the
fourth quarter. It's like you think, you think eighteen minutes,
played six of eleven for SGA to your point, no
free throws for him, balanced definition. I still want to
(07:02):
know how the play we were talking about the other day,
and I get it, the spirit of the rule and
what's written in what they actually decide about the winding
up and this that the other, because we did have
one of those a little bit later on. But that
play on Cruso, I have no idea how that was
a legit flagrant fall.
Speaker 3 (07:21):
How that got out.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
Of it, especially when the one autumn the other night
at the end of the game did not get called,
but this one did.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
Scott Foster, you.
Speaker 4 (07:27):
Could break down with both arms across the guy going
nowhere near the basketball.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
Nah, that's fine, this one because I.
Speaker 4 (07:34):
Shoulder you and I'm a little bit bigger and stronger,
and you whine, you get to call.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
That's fine.
Speaker 4 (07:40):
All of that to say, we've got ourselves a nice
close game, despite the fact that Oklahoma City played well
pretty poorly overall terrible from the outside one of ten
from three point range. Turnovers were about the same. But
the eye test, you know, you would have thought the
way the Pacers came outating the basketball and the general flow,
(08:03):
other than the how many reviews I stopped counting how
many times we went to the table for more screen
time for the officials, you would have said that the
Pacers were up big and here we are starting the
second half.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
It was a three point game. See. But here's the thing,
and I'm gonna I'm gonna call this right now.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
I have not liked how this game has gone for
the thunder Right, I have not liked how the game
has gone because I feel like the Pacers really haven't
even warmed up yet. You know, Siakama obviously, look at
one out of every three or four games is a
Siakam game, and this turns out to be one of
those games. He's got sixteen, but I feel like they're
just kind of biding their time. Like they're getting production
(08:42):
from everywhere, right, like topping and Marannell off the bench,
right yeah, Halliburton's got eight and it feels like he's
it feels like he's barely touched the basketball. It's like,
my goodness, but I'm telling you it is. This is
not gone well because Oklahoma City seems like they're fighting,
trying to figure a lot of stuff out, and again
SGA not at the free throw line yet yet in
the in the game, but like like the not that
(09:04):
the Pacers are playing with the thunder, but more like
they really haven't even you know, turned it up a
not yet, like we we're gonna get it sometime here
in the second half.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
And I'll go bold right now, I'll go bold right now.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
You know, I know, I said, you know the way
this game is going right now, I'll say this turns
out to be a PACER's boat race. Like slowly they extend, slowly,
they extend their lead, and you're obviously Halliburton will get hot,
is the as the.
Speaker 4 (09:30):
Game apologizing to him? No, no, no, Halliburton's still ridiculous. No,
he's still absolute ridiculous. But somebody else is gonna get hot.
It's not just gonna be Siaka. Maybe it's TJ McConnell,
maybe Mathenn who's only got five points, which sounds.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
Like, come on, what's happening, man?
Speaker 1 (09:45):
But this this feels like that the Pacers are getting
their shots. They just they just feel like they're still
waiting to throw the knockout punch and and I feel
like that's gonna come over the course of the third
quarter into the fourth quarter, and this is gonna wind
up be in a game where we go, man, now,
we really got to look at the Pacers winning the
NBA Championships. There's gonna be three to one Indiana.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
Look at you tell you that. I just don't like it.
I don't like how the game is going.
Speaker 4 (10:10):
For Oh no, I don't like the flow at all.
I mean, you go in and watch it the first half.
There's not a lot of flow on the offense. They
pointed out again telecast and something if you if you're
looking in the box score and just trying to say,
all right, what exactly have I seen? Seven assists on
twenty two makes to this point early in the third quarter.
That's not generally winning basketball. That's a lot of stagnant offense.
(10:35):
And hey, the shot clock's winding down, so you do
something with it. So, I mean, they've gotten nineteen points
from Jalen Williams, he's your hero of the day, Shay's
got twelve, and Caruso doing all Caruso things. I keep
seeing all our friends who are Laker fans still lamenting
his absence all these years later. I mean, look, move
on and move on like you got to. You gotta
(10:58):
extinguish that torch. Dude, it's gonna be something else.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
It's gonna be twenty seventy and Alex Caruso and Buddy
Healed are still gonna trend on Twitter every single night
during the NBA season.
Speaker 3 (11:09):
Can Buddy Heal be traded to the Lakers?
Speaker 1 (11:11):
Remember said, remember when Alex Caruso was doing this in
the NBA fifty five years ago. That's what we're gonna get.
That's that's what it's gonna be. You and I are
gonna be on the air doing a show time Remember
when Alex Caruso was not his grandson, not his great
grandson who's starring right now at Liberty.
Speaker 3 (11:29):
Uh. You know, that's what we're gonna be doing.
Speaker 4 (11:30):
Well, And if JJ Reddick's still around, he'll be saying
Alex Crusoe played against plumbers Because still about the innovations
in the NFL or the NBA thirty years from now
and how much bigger, faster, stronger everything will be.
Speaker 3 (11:42):
How about that?
Speaker 4 (11:43):
But no great bench work thus far from Indiana. Caitlin
Clark is there, and we know the stat there, they're
undefeated with Kaitlin coming back to play this weekend. Yeah,
play the next game and get the liberty.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
I'll go.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
I'll give you another big way to I'll give you
another big Caitlin Clark.
Speaker 4 (11:59):
Okay, but yeah, are they forcing her back into action
because the ratings cratered and people would need help and
make goods across the network?
Speaker 1 (12:08):
No?
Speaker 3 (12:08):
Nice? What does that mean?
Speaker 1 (12:10):
I kind of sort of feel like if Katelyn Clark
is at the games and she's, you know, jumping up
and down and honking it up, I think she's ready
to return. I got a feeling. I think Katelyn Clark
is ready to come back. I feel pretty good about that.
Speaker 4 (12:21):
I don't know that that prepares you for getting blasted
every time you want to go into the place. It's
not quite the same. But I get what you're trying
to say.
Speaker 3 (12:30):
I get I get.
Speaker 1 (12:31):
Look, this is gonna have to be if the thunder
are going to come back and win.
Speaker 3 (12:35):
This.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
I said it the other night, right, this, this has
all the harmmark of the all the hallmarks of an
SGA forty point night.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
What did I say? I went bold the other night.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
I said this is gonna be one of those forty
point near triple double knights for the MVP. Who knows
I have to play like the MVP. I gotta do
it because this is this is this is our only
way out right now until we can get back home,
seize home court advantage, make it to make it a
best two out of three and so are Yeah, he's
playing okay, right, he's got twelve, but he's clearly not
(13:04):
impacting the game. Jalen Williams just said he was off
to a big start, keeping the minute for most of
the first quarter and most of the first half, but
like this is they come back. No, they're not gonna
win this game unless you look up at the end
and go wow. SGA absolutely took over in the last
you know, twenty minutes of this game because this can't
be where he kind of has a quiet twenty four
(13:25):
and oh chet Holmgan winds up with twenty six and
Williams goes for thirty five.
Speaker 3 (13:29):
And now that's not gonna happen tonight.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
This is SGA kicks it up or it's gonna be
a big l And again, I don't see it. I
don't like what's happening for the thunder right now and
I love what's happening for the Pacers.
Speaker 4 (13:40):
But they were supposed to be a dynasty. I know
they won the first and you're already just tearing it down.
How many teams didn't even build that statue of Shay
in front of all his teammate yet, how.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
Many teams at the end of the playoffs and the
NBA are gonna go when if the Pacers whin, they're
gonna go, we could have won.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
Man, that was bad. I wait, we could have won that.
How did we not win? How did they?
Speaker 1 (14:00):
How did how we could have won? Even Jannis is
gonna say, man, we should have won that first road series.
Speaker 4 (14:05):
Every coach or leader is walking in and all he's
yelling is get those fours up, just like we do
here on the show, because fourth quarters absolutely murdered team
after team after team.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
Right now, Tips is going, see, I wasn't so bad,
was I? I wasn't the only guy that couldn't beat him?
Right Hey, all of a sudden, I want so bad.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
Now he's standing there like he won the damn lottery.
I got my thirty million dollars.
Speaker 4 (14:31):
Look at the novelist sized thing, like I won on
a game show.
Speaker 1 (14:36):
Exit out about a Fresco exit Swallen down The Jason
Spith Show with Mike Carbon live from the Fox Sports
Radio studios. So seven twenty five to go in the
third quarter, Pacers lead the Thunder sixty.
Speaker 3 (14:46):
Eight to sixty four.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
We'll keep you updated on this game again. The Pacers
can basically win the NBA Finals tonight if they take
care of business the rest of the way, something I
never thought i'd say, like six months ago.
Speaker 4 (14:56):
But remember eighty one percent after the two ones, So
now you know here we are fate.
Speaker 1 (15:03):
But straight ahead, we have the Express pros Pro the Week,
a very special Express pros Pro the Week.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
Plus since it is.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
Friday the thirteenth and teams are finishing up camp, yeah
we got some big time NFL. Let's look at what
we've seen this week in mandatory mini camp before everybody
goes on vacation for another month. What are the big takeaways?
What do we see this week that we like that
we not like? What's coming up? That's straight ahead right here, Jason, Mike,
Happy Friday the thirteenth, This is Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (15:33):
Ty shirt.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
Where's the sound effect of the guy going down the stairs?
And Friday the thirteenth Part two. Oh is your two
your favorite?
Speaker 4 (15:39):

Speaker 1 (15:40):
You know it's in two where the guy in the
wheelchair just goes You know it's in two.

right now seventy four sixty eight, five and a half
(16:40):
to go in the third quarter. We'll keep you updated
on this throughout the night. Again, Oklahoma City is staying close.
Still don't like the flow for the thunder, but still
seventeen minutes left to go.
Speaker 3 (16:53):
You know, at least in regulation I figured out what
you're trying to do? What am I trying to do?
Speaker 4 (16:58):
If Indiana, now you say we were beaten by the best. Okay,
you're stealing that Jim Varney stuff. Oh no, I don't
really care from he was a Carnie on The Simpsons
see today, and we were beaten by the best, so
you know we're second best. Yeah no, see, I don't
I don't like that. I'd rather I'd rather my team.
I don't want my I'd rather my team feel like, no,
(17:18):
we're we're farther away than that, because I don't want to.
I don't want the heartbreaku.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
Boy, we got so close and we blew it, because
that's something I'll just think about forever, like I want
to think, like, oh, okay, we lost to a team
that lost to a team, like okay, even if we won,
we're really that close. I don't want to obsess them,
but I don't want to be Seahawks fans who wake
up every day and go, why did we give the
ball to marsh And I'm the goal wide?
Speaker 3 (17:38):
Okay I thought about that. Now it can go on,
it can have coffee and go out my day. Like,
I don't want that. I'd rather lose to a team
that lost to a team that lost to a team.
Speaker 4 (17:47):
Okay, Yeah, I think some of that.
Speaker 3 (17:49):
I mean, it's probably helped by the fact that they
fired the coach. Yeah, well that it does help. It
does help, but I realize that they were needing to
make some move there. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:01):
But first we have the Express pros Pro the Week,

Final Star and the ten five Florida four in over time.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
That's sort of like if Mike Lang and Vince McMahon
you were the same person, like you aied them together.
That's what that would that's that play by play call
would sound like.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
Yeah, five, no, I get I get you him Flynnstone.

Well, yeah, you have to share the pro of the
week because when it happens to be your seventy ninth birthday,
right and your birthday falls on a day that you
made famous Jason Vorhees, you get to share being the
express pros pro of the week.
Speaker 3 (19:45):
Hey, now cut that all right, Now that's not funny.
Speaker 1 (20:00):
Okay, that's not the same one. That's not enough, man, Now,
I know that's my favorite. That's my that Of all
the Jason Voorhe's kills, my favorite one is the guy
in the wheel Charing Part two because he's at the
very top of this really big cabin with like a
thousand steps and he just goes down all the steps
when Jason fits him with a machetti and he just
(20:22):
got him down forever.
Speaker 4 (20:24):
Yeah. I mean it's curtuitous, but it's you know, it
gives you an extra I don't know, uh, twenty five
seconds of movie run time.
Speaker 3 (20:32):
Yeah, oh, of course, of course. Yeah. In fact, it
happened went on so long.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
If you watch that in Friday the Thirteenth, Part two,
they just go to a freeze frame, like it's like, okay,
the guy, we can't get him all the way to
the bottom. It's just it's just going way too long.
It's just not what we gotta stop. Yeah, he's like, okay, you.
Speaker 3 (20:46):
Know what, get out of this. The guy's dead. He's
still going down the set. We have no more.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
Let just cut cut, Let's go to the next cabin,
Go to the next cabin.
Speaker 3 (20:55):
There we go, There we go. Although I will say this.
Speaker 1 (21:01):
In the Friday the thirteenth, you know when these movies
first started coming out, right Halloween, Friday the thirteenth, all
that's like, like, what was the lesson they wanted to
tell everybody, We're gonna teach the youth of America, you know,
bad things like sex and drinking and drugs and all
this and partying and having a good time and being teenagers.
Speaker 3 (21:17):
We don't like that because there's a guy with a mask.
It's gonna kill you.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
But you know, here's the part about Friday the thirteenth,
Part two, right that people don't get and it's like, oh,
so you're teaching me alcohol could be good, right, because
the one guy, there's one guy who makes it that
you don't see him after the middle of the movie.
Because in Friday thirteenth, part two, there's some people who
stay behind, the ones who want to have sex, and
then the ones that want to go to the bar
(21:40):
and drink and hang out, and then they go back late.
Speaker 3 (21:42):
Right, So but there's a whole group.
Speaker 1 (21:44):
So you know, the group gets ready, they're leaving the
bar to go back, and they say, hey, let's go back,
let's go back, and the one kid and the one
guy goes eh, and they're getting ready to leave, and
he sidles up to somebody else goes, hey, any other
places open up open later than this, And that's the
last time you see in the movie.
Speaker 3 (21:59):
So it's like this guy, Hey, I went out, I
closed the bar, and I made it. I showed you
I made it.
Speaker 1 (22:06):
Man, I stayed out all night and I was at
a bar, probably underage, which is not a good thing.
Do not do that, I am not saying.
Speaker 3 (22:12):
I mean, what were the laws of the time, though,
and what it's a movie? I mean that was that
was the time. That was the time. It was a
thing with the time, that is what we did. It
was nineteen eighty so, I mean it was a long
time ago.
Speaker 4 (22:23):
But in today's you know, run of police shows and
investigative reports, wouldn't you be putting this guy up as
a potential coke conspirator of the Vorhees family.
Speaker 3 (22:33):
Oh oh, that would have been a great That would
have been a great hook, right, I mean, hey, I
don't need to go back.
Speaker 4 (22:38):
I don't want to go back because then I you know,
I need my uh, plausible deniability because I'm here drinking
with you.
Speaker 3 (22:45):
What was that? That was freebird on the on the
that just blade on the jukebox?
Speaker 5 (22:50):
If I.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
Tonight, would you still cut my head off and put
it on a spike and show it?
Speaker 3 (22:57):
Whoa as I walked in?
Speaker 1 (22:58):
Well after they done thought how you walk in? So
that's well, that's well, that's how part two open. He
opens up the refrigerator in the mother's head is right there.
So okay, it's kind of what he does, you know, But.
Speaker 3 (23:08):
I think it would have been boiler.
Speaker 1 (23:10):
It would have been too much of a double twist
because you know, the big twist obviously is you know,
it's his mom killing everybody in the first one. Like, boy,
and now you feel really embarrassed those teenagers.
Speaker 3 (23:19):
You got killed by a sixty year old woman who
just just living in the woods.
Speaker 1 (23:23):
Really, yeah, country Strong, what do you want? That's who
killed you? Really wearing that sweater the whole time, that's
who killed you. She weighs about ninety five pounds and
she was overpowered. You go, Okay, that's great, but that
would have been a double twist, say, oh, it's the mother. Oh,
and like, oh, by the way, this is Jason's younger
brother that wound up doing it. I think that's too
much of it. I think that's too twisting. You had
one good twist with the mom.
Speaker 3 (23:44):
Hey, that's pretty cool, and then Jason takes over this.
Speaker 1 (23:48):
Nepotism goes all the way back to the forget about
nepotism now in Hollywood with you know, Ethan Hawk's kids
and Tom Hanks's kids.
Speaker 3 (23:54):
Nepotism goes back to Friday the thirteenth. See, I was
watching a little Jack Quaid novacate today.
Speaker 4 (24:00):
You want to talk about a fun, silly uh, I
can turn my brain off for two hour movie.
Speaker 3 (24:06):
Boy, that was fantastic.
Speaker 4 (24:07):
But nepotent Jack Quaid also Friday the Thirteenth and Scream
veteran of the Jar movies. But also remember it doesn't
necessarily mean you have to have the same surname or
be in the same bloodline.
Speaker 3 (24:20):
Hello, No, it doesn't. That one to grow.
Speaker 4 (24:23):
Just like we talked people about the Albatross yesterday, I
was actually explaining that to somebody today.
Speaker 3 (24:28):
It's like, oh, good is that all about. I'm like, oh,
we actually did a bit on the show when I.
Speaker 4 (24:31):
Started talking about the poem, and all of a sudden,
I was talking to like seven people.
Speaker 3 (24:35):
They were absolutely enraptured, and.
Speaker 4 (24:38):
I'm like, you could learn all this by tuning in
to the Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon every night
on Fox Moore's Radio.
Speaker 3 (24:43):
It became an infomercial. It was great. See, that's the
thing is I like most.
Speaker 1 (24:47):
I like opinionizing and I love entertaining, and once in
a great while, okay, we'll educate.
Speaker 3 (24:53):
I mean, once in a great while, we'll do it.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
And when Albatross was yeah, maybe maybe you looked up
because you were like, hey, and I'm feeling it now.
I want to I want to dive down the Albatross
rabbit hole. That's what I'm gonna do.
Speaker 3 (25:05):
And krill was more than just something nemo. I've always known.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
That's what whales eat like since I was like seven
years that's what well they just had. It's filled by
the thousands. You know, I really want you know, how
about that on fourth of July a whale krill eating
competitive eating contest and let's say in the last three
seconds that whale is eating three thousand, four hundred and
seventy one krill.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
Oh wait a minute, add another five thousand. That was
a big gulp right there.
Speaker 1 (25:33):
I mean that would be really forget about Joey Chutt
sixty five hot dogs come out.
Speaker 4 (25:36):
But try trying to estimate that though amateur, I mean,
what's the margin of error? I mean three percent is
several thousand?
Speaker 1 (25:44):
Well, I think you have to be able to if
you put like little tiny microchips and all the little
tiny baby crill in little pliny microchips, a little tiny
baby crill.
Speaker 4 (25:53):
No, you just you just antagonize some krill defense league.
Speaker 3 (25:59):
It would look like Thief from Twister where they had
all the cans and it'll put them up.
Speaker 1 (26:02):
Oh look at all that we put about little littlechips
and the grilla chips and the crilla chips. Since it
is Friday the thirteenth, and Edliz obviously you know, hey,
good luck if you're out in the woods tonight hanging out,
you know, in any kind of situation. But because you
never know, keep your pants whether well, I want to
say it could be a guy in a machete, could
be a guy's mom. You never know family members. Never
(26:24):
trust family member one thing in a horror movie. Never
trust family members.
Speaker 4 (26:28):
Otherwise either way, I mean someone walking up with a
machete unless you're trying to uh get the fire started.
Speaker 3 (26:36):
Bad thing.
Speaker 1 (26:37):
We got some big positivity Friday stuff out of the
NFL coming your way in ninety seconds. But first, let's
find out what's trending in the wide world of sports.
But guy who's been called the Jason for he's of
Fox Sports Radios. His career really took off when he
started wearing a hockey mask to work.
Speaker 3 (26:53):
It's Steve de Saga, Yeah Radio and all the time,
your selfish bastard.
Speaker 5 (27:00):
In the third corner in Indiana, the Pacers are leading

Mets left twelve then on base. Boston in ten innings
(28:25):

but the Yankees as a team went four for thirty

four to one in the sixth twelve four Braves the final,
yes another l Colorado's record thirteen and fifty six. Detroit

over Toronto. Winning pitcher Ranger Suarez is five and one.
Pittsburgh beat the Cubs today in ten innings, two to one.
Speaker 3 (28:57):
And we've had.
Speaker 5 (28:59):
Two rain delays. D c and Baltimore each playing at home.
They're back from a two hour rain delay in the
fourth in Washington, Marlins leading the National six to two
top of the fifth. Washington has lost five in a
row and they're just restarting after a rain delay. A
second one of the Knights. Bottom of the fifth in Baltimore,

At Houston Strows ten to three over Minnesota in the

(29:43):
Savali will start Sunday. Milwaukee was about to send him
to the bullpen. The Diamondbacks lead the Padres two to
one in the top of the fourth. Giants got an
early homer from Willia Dames and lead the Dodgers in
LA one nothing bottom of the second. The Dodgers are
first in the NL West, but just one over the
Giants and the Padres only two.
Speaker 3 (30:02):
Back back to you, Thank you, Steve O.
Speaker 1 (30:04):
The Jason Smith Show with Mike Carmen live from the
Fox Sports Radio Studios.
Speaker 3 (30:09):
Now, Hey, it is Friday the thirteenth.
Speaker 1 (30:12):
We are spending time talking about Camp okay, sis, every
time I say that Tiger's gonna play that, that bit's
a doozy.
Speaker 5 (30:20):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (30:21):
Speaking of camp, right, mini camps are finishing up over
the NFL over the course of the days this week,
and we're getting ready for the NFL to go on
vacation before we get to come back in about four
or five weeks. And we got this gem from Cowboys
quarterback Dak Prescott earlier today.
Speaker 3 (30:38):
Now be afraid think, oh my god, it's gonna make
fun of the gut. Now I'm actually okay, I'm gonna
make fun of the Cowboys. But then I'm really not right.
I'm gonna give you a little bit of a curve ball.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
Dak Prescott was asked what he wants to accomplish here
he is now going into this season, how he feels
about the roster in twenty twenty five, Oh, you know
all the big Hey, let's take state of the Dallas
Cowboys and state of your career questions right now before
you don't see you for a month. And here's Dak
Prescott with what he wants to accomplish with the Cowboys.
Speaker 6 (31:05):
I want to win a championship, the legacy, the things,
whatever comes after I've finished, plan will take care of itself.
Speaker 3 (31:11):
Be damned.
Speaker 6 (31:12):
If it's just for my legacy or for it's for
this teams, for my personal being, for my sanity. Yeah,
the legacy will take care of itself.
Speaker 3 (31:20):
I have to stay with my Fido. Okay, So I
don't know what any of that meant. First of all,
I want to say this.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
I still don't understand it. And I've heard it like
three or four times. Not trigonometry, No, it's more than that.
Like this is like calculus, like AP calculus, like without
even getting taught.
Speaker 3 (31:34):
It and having to execute it on an AP test.
Speaker 1 (31:37):
I assume what he's trying to say, right, because you
don't really say something, be damned, And because basically you say, well,
I don't care about that, and then say that, be damned,
and then talk about winning a championship because it's supposed
to be what you want to do.
Speaker 3 (31:49):
But I got another Again. The whole thing.
Speaker 1 (31:52):
I think the message he wanted to get out there
is I don't care about my legacy. I want to
win a championship. Now he certainly I've got it really weird,
and I don't know that. I don't know that the
quite the phrasing was what he wanted to be or
was it? Because again, I really it's it's hard to
kind of parse that out and go, Okay, this is
what he meant. But I'm pretty sure that was his
message that Hey, I don't care about my legacy. I
(32:14):
want to win a championship. Agree or disagree, because I
think I think that part of it I get. I'm
not going to make up something that he didn't say.
Speaker 4 (32:20):
I'm struggling to uh comprehend if he understands what legacy means,
because the winning a title kind of changes that people
will to starve itself.
Speaker 3 (32:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (32:32):
Yeah, so, but that there was a long, convoluted way
to get there. But the idea that he wants to
win a title is still admirable. Whether he really believes
that can happen there, I'm not so sure, which is
how we got into the long talk about legacy.
Speaker 3 (32:51):
Yeah, that's how. Yeah, yeah, I think I think if
we win and.
Speaker 4 (32:54):
Be damned, uh and then no, it's not good because
who's worse him or hallib.
Speaker 3 (33:01):
I keep going back to Haliburton. No, No, Halibert.
Speaker 1 (33:04):
Haliburton is just ridiculous because he using for fuel. The
fact that people didn't pick the Pacers and then say,
how dare you do that? Like, dude, you wouldn't even
be in the NBA finals if people picked against you,
if people told you you were great, you would just
be sliding through like you'd be dancing through life like
Fierro and Wicked. But instead, now I gotta chip on
my shoulder. Man, I'm gonna go down. I'm not going
(33:24):
down to the os dust ballroom. I'm gonna go I'm
gonna beat everybody like you use that as fuel, and
now you say not to say it.
Speaker 4 (33:30):
Pick a look at you getting some Jonathan Bailey and
oz dust in there.
Speaker 3 (33:33):
Good for you? So dancing through now here's why.
Speaker 4 (33:40):
Few bars to it, but.
Speaker 1 (33:41):
Yeah, it's positivity Friday here right. And the Cowboys are
you know the Cowboys NFL teams are going on vacation.
Speaker 3 (33:48):
I just want to say this, right, this is my
big message.
Speaker 1 (33:50):
All what are you gonna say, Dax stinks, he's they
don't need him as much as you think they do. No,
all of those things are true, but I just want
to say because maybe it's We're at the end of
the school year and schools are graduating, and people are
going on and everybody's wishing everybody good luck, and I
just want to say this Dak and the Cowboys. You know,
sometimes I just want to say thank you for the
(34:11):
content and have a happy and healthy summer and a
happy rest of twenty twenty five. And I look forward
to seeing all you accomplish over the course of the
rest of this year. Like people write in your yearbook
where they say, hey, I can't wait to see what
you do next year, can't wait to see what you
do in your life, like hey, thank you, thank you
for what you've done, thank you for all the content
you provide us. The cowboy you know, we get we
(34:33):
could have the most interesting story involving the Saints and
no one cares. But we have something that's not even
impressive at all. But you just say the word cowboys.
Oh I can't believe it. Thank you for providing that content,
and I look forward to everything you have for us
in twenty twenty five.
Speaker 3 (34:48):
All the folks that wrote k T never heard from
them again.
Speaker 2 (34:52):
So I didn't do it.
Speaker 4 (34:52):
I wasn't gonna pretend I didn't want to have their
hopes up that you know, this guy would still be
howling around your kitchen doing no.
Speaker 1 (34:59):
I was going, it's always a it's always a thing
if they right keep in touch, and then they don't
put their phone number like I think that's the sign.
Speaker 4 (35:06):
I think that I had a lot of their phone numbers.
I didn't want to use them. Cowboys are projected to
win seven and a half games this.
Speaker 3 (35:12):
Year, that's yeah, yeah, yeah, you want to talk about legacy.
Speaker 4 (35:18):
If Dak and A stay healthy, B keep George Pickens
in line, see get this team to the winning winner circle.
Speaker 3 (35:24):
You can't go when we get what what are you
gonna be? X?
Speaker 1 (35:27):
If the Cowboys are able to win Week four, why
if they can keep Jerry.
Speaker 3 (35:32):
Jones out, how far are you gonna go?
Speaker 4 (35:34):
I was only going three year, I was going only
three or four things, But I mean I was thinking
that it would just be absolute bleeping gold if Jerry
Jones is actually winning again.
Speaker 3 (35:45):
Think about that?
Speaker 4 (35:46):
What what those soundbites sound like in November and December
as opposed to what we normally get?
Speaker 1 (35:52):
Okay, ge, we pay Micah Parsons, h we stop Jerry
from making a bad trade, trading a third round PI
the roster.
Speaker 3 (36:00):
I could have done that to you, I did.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
I we looking for we look for a veteran running
back that's going to get cut sometime near the end
of training game in the Williams Yeah.
Speaker 3 (36:13):
Ja, we got like that.
Speaker 2 (36:17):
Way and my way is terrible.
Speaker 4 (36:19):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (36:20):
Coming up next, we got the play of the day
and you have to admit one superstar is ready to
return and you missed this person tremendously.
Speaker 3 (36:29):
That's next, Jason Mike Who Me Radio.
Speaker 2 (36:33):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific, Fox.
Speaker 3 (36:40):
Sports Radio The Jason Smith Show with My best friend
Mike Harmon.
Speaker 2 (36:44):
Well dressed hobot right.
Speaker 1 (36:46):
Now, time out on the floor. Eighty nine eighty six
pacers leading the thunder. Still a bit of a ways
to go here in the fourth quarter. But speaking of
this game, this game brings us the playday. For over
forty years, Tirerak's been helping customers find the right tires
for how, what and where they drive. Shipped fast and free,
(37:07):
backed by free road hazard protection with convenient installation options
like mobile tire installation.
Speaker 3 (37:12):
Tirec dot Com is the way tire buying should be Now.
Speaker 1 (37:16):
Whether or not you hate the press, you want to
thank the press for making you the motivated player. You
are well when you hit a three basically from the
logo Tyre's Halliburton, you get to be the play of
the day.
Speaker 3 (37:28):
Mark center of the floor, Haliburton. This one from.
Speaker 1 (37:31):
Way Pop and he mixed the three to make it
eleven six.
Speaker 3 (37:37):
His heels were almost up against that logo at center court.
Speaker 1 (37:41):
Sara, it is ESPN on the call. A still a
lead for the Pacers again, little bit of ways to
go here. They seem like they're executing at a higher
level and so far it has been working. But the
thunder are hanging around. We got a real entertaining final
eight minutes coming your way. Look like the Pacer is
gonna run away with it. They had a ten point lead.
Oklahoma City's been able to chop it down. Time out,
(38:03):
Rick Carlisle. They want to talk it over, so we'll
see how the next eight minutes unfolds. But since things
have been coming up Indiana, I want to say this
because someone at the game tonight who when she attends
the game, the paces are seven to zero in the playoffs.
(38:23):
Caitlyn Clark returns to the WNBA tomorrow when they take
on the Liberty right fever playing at home, and she's
coming back after being out two weeks. And I even
the most hm, the staunchest, I hate hearing Caitlyn Clark's name,
even though she's the most popular athlete in the world
right now, and she's been the most popular athlete, and
(38:43):
she gets people to watch whatever she does unlike anybody before.
Speaker 3 (38:47):
It's insane what she does.
Speaker 1 (38:49):
I think even the people like, oh, I'm so sick
of you have to admit you missed her, right, I think,
even because I know, I know, sure as hell, I
missed her the last couple of weeks while she was out,
it felt like felt like she's been out for six months.
Speaker 3 (39:01):
It's only been two weeks. It's like, wow, man, I
miss her.
Speaker 1 (39:04):
I miss you know, the juice she brings to the
w and brings to our conversation and being this superstar
and being the face of the league. Two people who
are facing the league. There's not even close between Caitlin
Clark and what anybody else does. So I think everybody's
got to admit they miss her. And I'll even go
this far, Mike carbon I will give you this ball prediction.
Tomorrow she goes for twenty and ten and the fever
(39:27):
hand of Liberty their first loss of the season.
Speaker 3 (39:29):
Look at you want to come back trail.
Speaker 1 (39:31):
Yeah, I'm picking against a New York team, which tells
you why he really must believe this. Although I'd like
to pick against the Yankees in the Raid, but you
get what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (39:39):
No, No, you normally do pick against everybody that is
in your team's right.
Speaker 4 (39:44):
You want New York to yourself, but curious to see
the return to action right, the physicality and whether that
is is there's any short term change of style and approach.
This team was starting to click a little bit before
the injury, so reintegrating and and getting the rhyme and
(40:05):
rhythm back and all it. One thing we know is
that the the you know Sky is continuing to lose games,
so you know, everything stayed the same while she was
gone for a couple of weeks.
Speaker 1 (40:16):
So uh, for the league as a whole, we move on.
But we had a couple of fun headlines, right, We
had that ar fight with Jona Carrington, right, and then
we had the Kelsey you know, you know, take ripping
the refs to shreds like we had to. But we
miss Kate I mean, Caitlin's the show, right, you miss her?
It's like, well, okay, wow her being out two weeks,
that's a that's a long time to miss her.
Speaker 3 (40:36):
Well. Ryan Howard had nine three pointers tonight. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (40:40):
So second uh, you know, Britney Grinder got into the
second place in the all time blocks list.
Speaker 3 (40:45):
So I mean you've see some history made.
Speaker 1 (40:47):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (40:47):
But now everybody comes back to the televisions on Saturday
afternoon to watch as Caitlin Clark returns and won't just
be courtside at Patriots games.
Speaker 1 (40:56):
Exit out about a Fresca exits Swollen Dome. The Jason
Smith Show, Mike Harmon coming up next. We talked about
it last night, and now I.
Speaker 3 (41:04):
Know for sure, A.
Speaker 1 (41:05):
The Knicks listened to the show, and B Mike and
I can be the general manager of the Knicks and
things would be better than they are now.
Speaker 3 (41:11):
Fox
