the body counts of any of the John Wicks or.

couple of big dudes, it would be able to take
out Jason. I gotta think that you're really not like
you're scretching, you know, credibility already, but like you're really

stretching credibility. Oh well, he just he just killed everybody
on the Ravens, all fifty three dudes.

through the tire and he starts walking real slow towards
him and the footballs are his only weapon and because
you know, he's got such a hose, right, I mean,
he could and he just keeps going, but he keeps missing,

like he just keeps missing Jason just Ball's flying all
over it. Boy, he's inaccurate as well with the bears
one at his feet, what over his head? And then
Jay and just calmly walks over and then just like
grabs them and like, you know, snaps him in half.

Is this the way we get ourselves into the movie
because we're doing play by play of his breakdown of Wow,
that inaccuracy is playing Fields his entire career since coming

this is game. This is not some crazy ass Nicks
Pacers right now. No, No, this is the NBA Finals.

Out there, and clearly early on, you know, he's okay
sending guys to the free throw line, sending both teams
to the free throw line, for all this extending. Just understand,
the Pacers are sixteen out of I'm sorry, are thirteen
out of from the free throw line? Sorry, they are
eleven out of thirteen, and the thunder are sixteen out
of seventeen.

So it's not a big discrepancy.

Yes, it was a really bad flagrant foul that was called,
you know on Alex Caruso. But understand, like you'd think
the extending has happened, you ain't seen nothing yet, man,
SGA hasn't even been to.

The free throw line yet.

Of all the free throws, there have been thirty free
throws in the first half, SGA has none of them. Like,
come on, man, you have we have not even begun
to extend, right, isn't that the phrase, I have not
yet begun to extend.

You're right, six of eleven. He did sit down, something
they were making sure to point out on the broadcast.
Maybe they're doing this to keep him fresh for the
fourth quarter. It's like you think, you think eighteen minutes,
played six of eleven for SGA to your point, no
free throws for him, balanced definition. I still want to

know how the play we were talking about the other day,
and I get it, the spirit of the rule and
what's written in what they actually decide about the winding
up and this that the other, because we did have
one of those a little bit later on. But that
play on Cruso, I have no idea how that was
a legit flagrant fall.

All of that to say, we've got ourselves a nice
close game, despite the fact that Oklahoma City played well
pretty poorly overall terrible from the outside one of ten
from three point range. Turnovers were about the same. But
the eye test, you know, you would have thought the
way the Pacers came outating the basketball and the general flow,

other than the how many reviews I stopped counting how
many times we went to the table for more screen
time for the officials, you would have said that the
Pacers were up big and here we are starting the
second half.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
It was a three point game. See. But here's the thing,
and I'm gonna I'm gonna call this right now.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
I have not liked how this game has gone for
the thunder Right, I have not liked how the game
has gone because I feel like the Pacers really haven't
even warmed up yet. You know, Siakama obviously, look at
one out of every three or four games is a
Siakam game, and this turns out to be one of
those games. He's got sixteen, but I feel like they're
just kind of biding their time. Like they're getting production

from everywhere, right, like topping and Marannell off the bench,
right yeah, Halliburton's got eight and it feels like he's
it feels like he's barely touched the basketball. It's like,
my goodness, but I'm telling you it is. This is
not gone well because Oklahoma City seems like they're fighting,
trying to figure a lot of stuff out, and again
SGA not at the free throw line yet yet in
the in the game, but like like the not that

the Pacers are playing with the thunder, but more like
they really haven't even you know, turned it up a
not yet, like we we're gonna get it sometime here
in the second half.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
And I'll go bold right now, I'll go bold right now.

You know, I know, I said, you know the way
this game is going right now, I'll say this turns
out to be a PACER's boat race. Like slowly they extend, slowly,
they extend their lead, and you're obviously Halliburton will get hot,
is the as the.
Speaker 4 (09:30):
Game apologizing to him? No, no, no, Halliburton's still ridiculous. No,
he's still absolute ridiculous. But somebody else is gonna get hot.
It's not just gonna be Siaka. Maybe it's TJ McConnell,
maybe Mathenn who's only got five points, which sounds.

Like, come on, what's happening, man?

But this this feels like that the Pacers are getting
their shots. They just they just feel like they're still
waiting to throw the knockout punch and and I feel
like that's gonna come over the course of the third
quarter into the fourth quarter, and this is gonna wind
up be in a game where we go, man, now,
we really got to look at the Pacers winning the
NBA Championships. There's gonna be three to one Indiana.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
Look at you tell you that. I just don't like it.
I don't like how the game is going.

For Oh no, I don't like the flow at all.
I mean, you go in and watch it the first half.
There's not a lot of flow on the offense. They
pointed out again telecast and something if you if you're
looking in the box score and just trying to say,
all right, what exactly have I seen? Seven assists on
twenty two makes to this point early in the third quarter.
That's not generally winning basketball. That's a lot of stagnant offense.

And hey, the shot clock's winding down, so you do
something with it. So, I mean, they've gotten nineteen points
from Jalen Williams, he's your hero of the day, Shay's
got twelve, and Caruso doing all Caruso things. I keep
seeing all our friends who are Laker fans still lamenting
his absence all these years later. I mean, look, move
on and move on like you got to. You gotta

extinguish that torch. Dude, it's gonna be something else.

In the Friday the thirteenth, you know when these movies
first started coming out, right Halloween, Friday the thirteenth, all
that's like, like, what was the lesson they wanted to
tell everybody, We're gonna teach the youth of America, you know,
bad things like sex and drinking and drugs and all
this and partying and having a good time and being teenagers.

We don't like that because there's a guy with a mask.
It's gonna kill you.

But you know, here's the part about Friday the thirteenth,
Part two, right that people don't get and it's like, oh,
so you're teaching me alcohol could be good, right, because
the one guy, there's one guy who makes it that
you don't see him after the middle of the movie.
Because in Friday thirteenth, part two, there's some people who
stay behind, the ones who want to have sex, and
then the ones that want to go to the bar

and drink and hang out, and then they go back late.

Right, So but there's a whole group.

So you know, the group gets ready, they're leaving the
bar to go back, and they say, hey, let's go back,
let's go back, and the one kid and the one
guy goes eh, and they're getting ready to leave, and

what he meant. But I'm pretty sure that was his
message that Hey, I don't care about my legacy. I

not going to make up something that he didn't say.

I'm struggling to uh comprehend if he understands what legacy means,
because the winning a title kind of changes that people

way the Pacers came outating the basketball and the general flow,

other than the how many reviews I stopped counting how
many times we went to the table for more screen
time for the officials, you would have said that the
Pacers were up big and here we are starting the
second half.

It was a three point game. See. But here's the thing,
and I'm gonna I'm gonna call this right now.

I have not liked how this game has gone for
the thunder Right, I have not liked how the game
has gone because I feel like the Pacers really haven't
even warmed up yet. You know, Siakama obviously, look at
one out of every three or four games is a
Siakam game, and this turns out to be one of
those games. He's got sixteen, but I feel like they're
just kind of biding their time. Like they're getting production

from everywhere, right, like topping and Marannell off the bench,
right yeah, Halliburton's got eight and it feels like he's
it feels like he's barely touched the basketball. It's like,
my goodness, but I'm telling you it is. This is
not gone well because Oklahoma City seems like they're fighting,
trying to figure a lot of stuff out, and again
SGA not at the free throw line yet yet in
the in the game, but like like the not that

the Pacers are playing with the thunder, but more like
they really haven't even you know, turned it up a
not yet, like we we're gonna get it sometime here
in the second half.

this game is going right now, I'll say this turns
out to be a PACER's boat race. Like slowly they extend, slowly,

we really got to look at the Pacers winning the
NBA Championships. There's gonna be three to one Indiana.

he is now going into this season, how he feels

I think the message he wanted to get out there
is I don't care about my legacy. I want to
win a championship. Now he certainly I've got it really weird,
and I don't know that. I don't know that the
quite the phrasing was what he wanted to be or
was it? Because again, I really it's it's hard to
kind of parse that out and go, Okay, this is
what he meant. But I'm pretty sure that was his
message that Hey, I don't care about my legacy. I

want to win a championship. Agree or disagree, because I
think I think that part of it I get. I'm
not going to make up something that he didn't say.

I'm struggling to uh comprehend if he understands what legacy means,
because the winning a title kind of changes that people
will to starve itself.

Yeah, so, but that there was a long, convoluted way
to get there. But the idea that he wants to
win a title is still admirable. Whether he really believes
that can happen there, I'm not so sure, which is
how we got into the long talk about legacy.
