Jason has a huge bold prediction about Sean Payton and the Denver Broncos. The guys recap the ending of the Bengals vs Rams game, and although the Bengals won, Jason still isn’t convinced they’ve figured it out. On the other side, the guys feel like the Rams are proving to be a lot better than they thought they’d be and could stick around the rest of the season. Plus, the guys discuss if anyone else can give the NFL more traction than Taylor Swift and much more!

a little bit more in the conversation we had a

(00:50):
few minutes ago, the Big Bowl prediction, Sean Payton's won
and done in Denver. Right now, the flip side of
this argument is going to be Jay Wait. Wait, wait wait,
they just brought him in. They gave up a couple
of big draft picks to get him. Yeah, they're paying
him thirteen million dollars a year. Yeah, but two things.

(01:11):
One seventy to twenty changes a lot of minds really fast,
because that's not on Russell Wilson's That is, how do
you not show up to play a game in the
NFL to the point where you get drubbed unlike any
team in history? You leave Russell Wilson out there the
entire game. You're down by fifty and he plays every

(01:31):
snap at quarterback. What are you doing? Like? What are
you doing? Do you want the guy to get hurt?

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Like?

Speaker 1 (01:36):
What the hell are you doing? Leaving him out there
for the end taking every single snap? Fantasy owners were happy, Hey,
I'm still getting points in Russell Wilson. I got twenty
one points of Russe Wilson. Why would you leave your
quarterback out there? It makes no sense. We talked about
last week against the Commanders, blowing the second half lead
and calling a time out to get your field goal
unit on the field and losing time to try for

(01:57):
that final drive to score a touchdown. Sean Payton's lost
his fastball. Nothing but bad news has been coming out
of Denver since the season starts, since before the season started.
But you're gonna say, but they gave up so much
and they're paying them thirteen million a year. Yeah, Jaguars
are paying urban Meyer twelve million a year. They didn't
get through one year. I told he's not gonna make
it to the end. He didn't make the biggest bull

(02:18):
prediction I've ever made. Well, but you went from this
guy's going to be coaching the year and he's the
hero of the day, like, you know what, I'm done
with this guy. Times changed, look, new information, new evaluation,
I'll see you in hell year and he was gone.
He didn't even make it to the end of sunk costs. Right,
you get to the point of all right, and because

(02:39):
they're turning on him in the media and Denver quickly, right,
because we've seen it over the last couple of weeks,
questions raised about the level of play decision making. And
then you come out of this one and you just
got absolutely drummed. And you'd put bulletin board material, Like
we talk about it a bunch, right, the disrespect guard

(03:00):
and the ability to go and talk. And Peyton did
a lot of his talking. Remember while he had his
fox at I'm sure sure you can't couch that you're
still on the sideline. Now you actually have an opportunity
for someone to come and kick your ass now, and
they did. Now, I will say this turns out he
wasn't wrong about the Jets offense, but no Jets offense,

(03:22):
but about Tua and the Dolphins. Ye, like Mganiel could
play aw shucks all he want. We didn't want to
do that. It would be disrespectful whatever else. No, no, no, no, no,
tell me with either of those touchdowns. There wasn't some
level of satisfaction as too. Was just dicing up this defense,
right because Denver, we talked about it from the fantasy

(03:42):
realm and we talk about it in general. It's like, well,
the offense might have needed some coaxing, you might have
needed a little work. You got some pieces that you like.
Courtland Sutton, pretty good player went healthy, Jerry Judy, pretty
good player went healthy. Dulcic' the tight end, pretty good
player went healthy. Go on, and Mims a question mark
and everybody in the fantasy land going ooh, that could

(04:02):
be an extra guy. Javonte Williams coming off, Like, all right,
the offense might take a little time, but it'll get there.
But that defense, that defense is going to be ready
that defense is going to keep it game. Defense got
its asking from here here. I mean they got run
over like you're you're the pre limb bum on a
WWE card where they're counting to twenty as the guy

(04:24):
ramms your head from post to post. Yeah, yeah, especially yeah. Yeah.
The Broncos were special Delivery Jones. No, that's exactly a Joe, right,
And that's what they got. And that's the workout that
they got yesterday. And don't tell me that in that
on that sideline in the coaches boxes, they weren't all
flipping him off at every opportunity, for every throw and

(04:45):
every play to a maid and moster are running wild
and all of that stuff. A chen no longer a
change chan. Well, when you run for two hundred yards
and get fifty Fantasy points whatever your name is, decided,
I'm changing money. Okay it is, Hey, you're the guy.
But tell me they didn't enjoy every bit of that
taking super Genius got all chesty when he was in

(05:09):
his you know, hiatus working as a larger member of
the media, that they didn't take some pleasure in watching
his team go out with their tail tuck between their legs.
I mean, This could be an entire tear down in Denver.
In this ay you talk about we could be one
and done for Sean Payton, and we got to move

(05:30):
on from Russell Wilson and we'll eat money and find
a way to trade it. Well, they're gonna trade Russell Wilson.
There's no way. Jason's untradable. The Packers found a way
to trade Aaron Rodgers. When you want to get to
someplace else, when a player is motivated to get to
another destination because it's not working in one destination, it's
amazing what they will give back to get there. And

(05:50):
that made a lot of money, right he will he
will say, hey, okay, we can do stuff here the
money my next team that I'm gonna go to it's
not working out here. I will take a little bit
lesser maneuver my contract around. Every If Aaron Rodgers and
his untradable contract was trade, we told you Aaron Rodgers
is not untradable. The contract is trade. Anythinking money can
be figured out. If that's the case, that could you

(06:12):
could see an entire teardown in Denver after this year,
new head coach, new quarterback knew everything Next year in Denver.
Now remember this, there's no not no trade clause. I
don't believe here, right, at least in this new new
contract that he's got. It's the Walton family that runs
the Broncos. Money is not an issue, all right in

(06:35):
terms of the Oh wow, I mean they've got that. No,
it's to some cause. Hey, beware falling prices though, beware fallingware,
Beware falling prices. Yeah, I would have to go back
through it and talk about where where the realistic opportunity is.
But I'm pretty sure that at the end of this
year it's pretty easy to get out from the rest

(06:55):
of Russell and for Peyton, whatever we made a mistake, yeah,
it doesn't count. He took a shit talking about you're
talking about almost fifty million. You have to find a
way to eat which okay, Yeah, we gave up draft picks. Okay,
it happened. If the team has quit on you already,
if they have quit on you, which looks like the case,
how do you make it? How do you make I

(07:16):
don't know how he makes it, because here's the problem
is that you're also looking at a rebuild situation. Right,
You've got a fractured space where you are now and
the media has already turned on you. Yeah, it is
already ugly, as evidenced by some of the postgame presser
and everything you got going on, Like he's short, he's kurt.
He's already getting very angry with folks asking obvious questions. Sure,

(07:40):
I mean sure, Look you signed up for this, you
came back into coaching, and you got your ass kicked bad.
Hard questions are you're gonna get him right? Going to
get him? So when we look at it, and look,
you've got two winnable games in theory coming up against
Chicago and the Jets, I get that, But does that
that alleviate anything? You just showed what happened playing a contender.

(08:04):
But if you were the Walton family, it's clearly an
easy thing of sunk costs. Right, you got to do
a rebuild in that division. Now the Raiders can't get
out of their own way. No, and we know it's
very difficult. Yes, the Chargers keep trying to give, they
keep charging, they keep charging, Yes, but they got out
charged by the Viking. Brandon, I'm going for it on

(08:26):
fourth or one of my own twenty four. Wow, it
worked out only because the Vikings vikinged so let's you know,
they said, hold my beer. Now we're going to show
no urgency getting to the line of scrimmage. And then
Captain Kirk throws the pick to let Staley off the hook.
But okay, so the Chargers may not be able to
get out of the way. But guess what, Jeeves aren't

(08:47):
going anywhere. No matter how much everybody's ah. They turned
over these wide receivers they did, it doesn't matter. Fifteen's
still there, The mustache guy is still there. Andy Reid
still getting his sacks of Tommy Burgers sent in. He's unstoppable.
So you're still chasing that. So if the organization after

(09:07):
three weeks is already everybody doing the Spider Man me
met each other and angry, And now you've got the
media and Denver, which is not They're not a bunch
of shrinking violets there. Yeah, just watch you're in trouble
can happen one and done for Sean Payton and Denver.
If Ebraflus gets the better of you, just walk Twitter

(09:29):
and out about a Fresco. Mike gets swelling dome. Tonight

ATV and more all your protection in one plays Bundle

doubleheader in Monday night football tonight, and we'll get to
the Rams and the Bengals coming up in a minute.
But earlier tonight, we watched the Eagles go to three

(09:52):
and zero. They beat the Bucks. The Bucks dropped to
two and one. The two truths about both of these
teams coming off Monday night. The Eagles are playing B
level game right now. The first three weeks, you could
tell they don't have the same sense of urgency. They
don't have the same sense of we have a chip
on our shoulder approving you how good we are. They

(10:12):
have the most talented roster in the NFL, and right
now they're winning games because they're more talented than anybody.
They're playing B level games. But this is what happens.
It's very natural coming off the Super Bowl a young team. Hey,
we feel like we're still playing that game over and
over again. So it's going to be a bit until
they hit their stripe. But everything is fine for Philadelphia
because in a Super Bowl hangover if you're three and oh,

(10:34):
everything is great new OC. So we're seeing some some
hit bits in the passing game a little bit and
Hurts at times has been reticent to put the ball downfield.
That's a fee who has Live Sports, not Hurts. Hulu
has Life Sports. He opens his jersey, you see its.
Hulu has Life Sports. Yeah, they're not paying me to
read it. A Hulu has Life Sports. Hulu has Live Sports,
so also have what No, there's plenty of shows that

(10:57):
we're now going to get charged more for. So that's
it for the Eagles. Everything is great for the Eagles.
The Bucks they lose, and you know what, I'm kind
of glad they lost because you hated them, the idea
that people were propping them up that they were good,
because I knew they stunk. And they had a Jets
Night tonight on offense Jets Night Tonight. It was slightly bad.

(11:20):
They were slightly better looking. Well, we had Garrett Wilson.
They couldn't get on the ball, but that that too
because he ran routes he didn't. It's a bad football team.
They're not good. They're too and oh, teams get to
two and o by smoking mirrors. Some of them do.
That's Tampa Bay by way of contrast, though, we we
do stipulate that the Eagles are the class with the

(11:41):
forty nine ers of the NFC, right, yeah, sure, Okay,
So so we take that a little bit with a
grand salt, because they're gonna play a lot of teams
that are at their level or lower. But there's a
lot of bad teams. Then still one hundred yards of
offense and three quarters it's Jets, Like, it's still one
hundred yards and three courts. Still that bad Jets show,
I mean even but you've done that multiple weeks? Yeah,

(12:02):
because our offense is really really bad. That's why that's
how this say is multiple weeks if they only did
it once against the top defense flowing Yeah, But if
I say something is Jets bad, you know how bad? No? No,
look the eye tested in the mirror and what happened bad? Bad?
Look at times this game was clockwork Orange. I'm going

(12:23):
to tape your eyelids open and you have to watch
the horrors on the screen. Do they do that in
Chicago for the Bears to make make make sure people
look data look man YouTube TV decided from my own
health that they were going to take that game away
from that. It probably was a right choice. It might
have been. Yeah, I'm sure I went back and watched it. Anyway,
Why do you get to watch it? Why are you

(12:44):
going back to watch Bears games over and over again?
Why this hasn't been abysmal first three weeks of the
season for you? Like, you know, if you're going to
commiserate with your friends and family back in Chicago, you
really need to be able to understand their pain, dude,
Other than I got a couple of high lights in
a box. They're all saying, I turned the Bears off
at halftime and I watched the Bear. I went from
the Bears to the Bear because the Bear is more entertaining.

(13:05):
Now Bear more entertaining, just like, just like, just like
Carmie had to google fun, like Bears fans have to
google fun. What has fun look like? Because watching football?
Ain't it?

Speaker 2 (13:14):
No?

Speaker 1 (13:14):
That's it. It's ain't it.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
No.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
I get that. But you know, if we're gonna speak
intelligently here on Fox Sports Radio, and that's what we
aspire to do, not I saw a couple of highlights,
and I saw a couple of people write some bad
tweets about them with some cool memes. You know that
they put Jack Black or you know heffern In on there.
I had a lot of Kevin jaymes over the last
twenty I want to be able to speak to an

(13:36):
intelligently having watched it and not just getting an, you know,
a summary from someone who might have watched even less
than I did. So here I am. I watch it
like you watch the Jets, so other people don't know.
But I'm not going back to watch that crap again.
I'm not going I didn't get to watch most of
the second half life did they switch to All you
do is look at say how many times they show

(13:57):
Taylor Swift. There's Taylor Swift. You left after the game
with Travis Kelsey. Okay, Now there's questions of how she
got out of the suite and people are theorizing it
was in a popcorn machine. Wasn't really Taylor Swift, it
was Ai Taylor Swift who was in the stands and
in the suite, And then it was real it was
one of the clones they had from that Capital One
commercial when they announced the tour. Oh man, I'll tell
you the Tampa Bay is bad. Oh, it was a

(14:19):
bad day, and they're a bad team. And they had
a couple of opportunities. Are moving the ball, I mean
they had they had a completion dwhite out of the
backfield and then he spins. He takes his football move
and immediately loses the ball. Like, come on, first down
move those chains keep the ball, hold on secure ball.
Baker Mayfield at times looked smallish tonight. Evans made a

(14:41):
couple of plays for him oton but all in all, yeah,
one hundred and seventy four total yards and an abysmal
Jets Like that's how bad? But look at I mean,
and I gotta like this between the Eagles and the Dolphins,
what are they have in common? Right now? They're running
the hell out of the football and they're bludgeting you.
Eventually the games are gonna start to click. Remember the

(15:01):
Dolphins put up seventy Jalen Wattle was in street close,
Eah their number two receiver guy with over one hundred
catches last year. He was in street close. What helps
when when the other team gives up? Yeah whatever, whatever,
we don't care. Send a picture hit the show on page.
Did you even notice he wasn't on the field. Whatever,
man doesn't matter, doesn't matter. I got questions for your defense.
Switter it out about a Fresco Mike get swollen down

(15:23):
The Jason Smith Show with my best friend Mike Harmon.
Coming up, we have more on the other Monday night game.
The Bengals escape with a win and a big lesson
that I am learning, especially after watching that craptastic Jets
game yesterday. And it's a lesson I think we all
learned at some point in our careers and lives. That's
next right here, Jason and Mike from the Tireck dot

(15:44):
Com Studios. This is Fox.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
The Jets Lust, The Jets lost, The Jets lot the
that's not a one hit wonder Uh the Tokens they
have another song. Oh I met the Jets lose over Well,
it is one hit Wonder Day. Yeah, Abs, it's actually
national uh Daughter Day and Hit Wonder Day. Yeah yeah.
I actually shout it out my daughter. So I mean,

(16:15):
you know you're you're a bad dad. I just did it.
Now you're a bad dad. Nah, you don't do that
on social media. Only did it? You did it on
the show. You just did it on the.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
Show right now?

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Does that matter? They're not listening, they're in bed. They're
not dead. Sure they are another reason you're a bad dad. Okay,
they're not in bed o care. That's fine, you're according
to you. Uh, I'm a pillar of the commuter. You
showed your kids midsummer when they were seven. All right,
that's that's that wasn't that? Yo? That's not bad to
me and being a bad dad. Now you look, man,

(16:44):
sometimes you need to be exposed to the world at
large early on, you know, So just really quick as
I'll tell you this funny story. So I met this
guy in the in the dog park the other day
and uh, you know, take Benny of the dog park
every other day and everybody's very nice. I'll bring the dog.
What kind of dog do you have? This? And that? Now?
Now are they do they keep to their their parts?
Were the size of the dog? Right, there's a there's

(17:07):
a bull dog parking a big dog by me. People
started saying blank this, and all of a sudden, I've
got like what looked like quarter horses around Thunderdog and
they scared the hell out of the little dogs. So
it's like, what happened to my dog? And you'll see
a line of little heads sitting underneath the hedges because
they're scared to death to go out back into the bar.
Two dogs enter, one dog leaves. That's kind of what

(17:29):
it became Thunderdome. Yeah. So this guy shows up and
very nice, uh, him and him and his girlfriend, and
he's a little bit taller than me. He's a he's
kind of a he's kind of a big guy. He's
got longish brown hair, he's got mustache and a goatee,
and he talks with with with an accent. And you

(17:49):
know what he sounded like was Pelly from Midsummer you
know the guy who you know the oh Pelly, what
a good guy? Oh wait a minute, right, so yeah,
his moments. So he's tall and I'm talking to moment
now what is that video cam? That was good? It's
a bear? Yeah, yeah, his moments uh And I and

(18:09):
I said to him, and I turned, I said, can
I can I just tell you one thing? Is what
he go? Do you get Pelley from Midsummer at all?
I realized that's obscure and his girlfriend peeks the head
over goes all the time, all the time, I said,
really goes. Yes, they keep I could they get people?
Tell me run like the run? They run in a
pretty interesting circle. I'm Florence View. You really you she'd

(18:33):
befriend run because I probably could. You could probably run
that on one hundred other people and none of them
get it. Yeah, yeah, you like Pelly run like floor
you mean Pele? You mean the soccer guy. Watch out
for they if he if he starts bicycle kicking like
for no reason, spin move to the rights. Gonna get you.
Uh So, Monday night football, we watch the Bengals beat

(18:56):
the Rams. We'll have more on the touchdown that wasn't
for too too out well come up in a bit.
But I gotta say the Bengals get their first win.
And I'm still kind of meh on them. You know,
I know Burrow is dinged up. The Rams defense is
still good. It's not quite what it was. It's getting older,

(19:17):
but I'm still kind of meh on the Bengals. And
we talked about the Eagles Super Bowl hangover and the
look that Bengals have a great hangover. The last two years,
as far as they've made it in the playoffs, super
Bowl two years ago, I just don't get the sense
that they're operating at a level they need to be,
and I don't know that they'll get there. And they

(19:38):
look to me as a team like, yeah, we're just
waiting for something to click. And when teams sit around
to wait for something to click, it never really clicks.
You have a tough time with it so far. I
just don't like what I've seen from them. And I'm
just kind of met, Like I'm not standing around going, oh,
they get the win. Now, they're going to start ripping
off all these wins. Nah, I'm still kind of met.
And maybe it's Burrow getting healthier, yo, Jamar Chase had

(19:59):
a huge to nightsom stopper. Good job, Dad, good job
trading him last week in Fantasy. So ask Walter, So
you know, yes, that's great, you know, Chase? Is that good?
You finally got a burst from mixing for a touchdown.
I'm not. I'm just not sold on on the Bengals yet. Well,
the hard part to this, and look with Burrow, you know,

(20:20):
when we had to make the picks, I took the
rams and Unfortunately, when I can't put my ticket in,
it was still a one and a half point spread,
whereas today it went to minus three. Yeah. Yeah, but
when we look at it, you're still the Rams squad
that at this point, like we had no expectations coming
into the season, right, and then they bludgeoned Seattle and

(20:44):
you started to say, well, maybe maybe they're they're not
quite so bad. Uh. They lose to San Francisco thirty
twenty three was the final there, and so I was like,
all right, what are they? You start getting excited about
Nikua at well a little bit Matt Staff, and so
you're trying to convince yourself maybe they're a better team
than they are. So for the Bengals coming out of

(21:06):
this win, I don't know how much love give him.
I did like the fact that they did use Joe
Mixon right. He had nineteen garies tonight, So as you're
trying to get Burrow right, and that's one of the
grand mysteries here is how hurt is he?

Speaker 2 (21:22):
Right?

Speaker 1 (21:22):
The reports in the game were that every opportunity he
had a sleeve and a heated sleeve on his leg,
doing everything he could to stay loose, stay ready, et cetera.
And you know, on the broadcast and certainly on the
local radio broadcast, you know former players talking about the
going Yeah, that's not a good sign generally if you've

(21:43):
got to run straight back to the sideline and do
that as you finish a series. Now, he got through
the game, okay, made some plays, as you mentioned, Chase
with the big night, had a couple of opportunities, tried
to go for a big hit to t Higgins, one
of the great interceptions you know, and such that we've seen,

(22:03):
you know, along the way. But when we go through
it's the massaging of this squad and trying to get
through this part. I don't know how much healthier Burrow
is going to get because I don't know that we
really know what that calf injury is, right. Is it
something that you know, you're you're just this shy of

(22:24):
being a torn muscle or is it just a strain?
Is it like, is it going to be better in
two to three weeks playing on it, or is it
one of those I can't get any worse kind of
things that we hear from time to time, And the
answer is, I don't know. Is it going to be
a game time decision for the next couple of weeks
or can it legitimately get better while playing. I'm not

(22:45):
a doctor, I don't pretend to be one. But if
they can go to this formula against middling opponents, you'll
eak out wins. Mean, it was all of Evan McPherson
and his super toe work tonight to get you through.
Now for Rams the Rams, is their start a little

(23:06):
bit better than I expected? Yeah, here are the Rams
at one and two, and I thought they'd clearly be
zero to three and this would be an ugly ass
season for them because this is not a talented team.
They didn't have a lot of playmakers coming in, their
defenses getting older. But seeing them be competitive and seeing them, look,
they played this game close and play the two two

(23:27):
at well, play gets called a touchdown in the first half.
Ye'll look, that's four less points that the Rams got.
I am. I am very encouraged that they're not going
to finish, you know, racing for the number one pick
in the draft, because as we've seen in the in
the NFC West, the Seahawks aren't the same. You know,
they're good, but they're not unbeatable. The Cardinals aren't very good. Right.

(23:49):
The forty nine ers look like they're the class of
the division. I get that, but there's nothing that's not
attainable for the Rams because you know, look, they found
a couple of big weapons in Nikua and at Well,
who came into the league this year and it's like, hey,
you know, at Well's the second year and the coua
nobody knew who the guy was, and now here he
is catching passes all the time. Stafford's got pretty good
chemistry with both of them. Now you bring Cooper Cup

(24:12):
back and you throw him in the mix there because
Van Jefferson he's just invisible. Right, he was going to
be the number one receiver and it's just like they
look his way, you know. For Stafford to have that
kind of chemistry that quickly after Cup gets ruled out,
with that Well and Nakua, that's pretty good. And for
the defense to play as well as they could tonight,
when when when clearly the Rams are still trying to

(24:32):
figure out who they are. No, I'm encouraged for them.
And it's weird that I feel better about the team
that lost than about the team that won. But it's
just about the perspectives of where they are. And look
the Rams, Look, the Rams are are not fooling anybody
with how good they're going to be this year. But
when I thought the beginning of the season, this team

(24:53):
that's going to be picking number one overall, and hey,
let's have Caleb Williams bobblehead nights at the Dodgers games
with half USC and half MS. Sure, No, they're not
at that point. They're not at that point. They're they're
a little bit too good for that. And it makes
me think today they can stick around for a little while.
Now do they do? Things have to happen for them. Yeah,
they gotta figure out how to run the football with
Kien Williams. How that they wave goodbye to Cam Akers? Yeah?

(25:15):
Is this a team that's close to being the finished product? No,
But I'll tell you what, I would not put it
past them to suddenly be a very high octane team
if Cooper Cup comes back, because now it's very difficult
to cover these guys. Right, you have a lot of
guys can do things in the slot, you have a
lot of guys can do things all over the field.
And he comes back and suddenly you only have so
many dbs, Right, imagine who's your worst receiver out of that?

(25:38):
Is it at Well? A guy that had a touchdown
tonight and the guy that is catching seven eight passes
a week only because Nikool was catching fifteen the first
couple of weeks. Though, oh okay, no, Suddenly that could
be a really high octane and dangerous offense. But the
big thing is when are you gonna get him back Well?
And then you look at you know, you add Higbee
to the mix as well. You know, his target count

(25:59):
not where perhaps you would expect it to be. But
the offense is the work in progress, waiting for Cooper
Cup to come back. Stafford at times tonight just held
the ball too long. Go back to the possession where
they settle for a field goal right off the jump,
right when Atwell has the touchdown that gets overturned. And
then you have a couple of plays where he's just
waiting for something that never appears. And that seems to

(26:23):
be a common theme through three weeks of the NFL season.
A lot of quarterbacks trying to go off timing and
it's disrupted. Right, they're a little slow. The internal clock
we talk about, you know, the younger quarterbacks Wilson Fields
go on down the line, and then with Stafford, we
saw that a number of times tonight, a couple of
times where he just had free rushers coming at him.

(26:45):
We saw guys coming off the edge like wow, surprised
he got up so quickly from that hit. It was
so clean. But they're a team that's going to battle,
and I think that's the best we could say, because
the Cardinals were the other team where it was like
a it looks like they're pretty clearly destined for number
one and they may not win, but the uh Christmas

(27:06):
Eve showdown against Chicago when it's all said none, but
they're they're battling each week, which is great. Yeah, right,
you at least want to see the effort. I'm like you, Denver,
But the what it translates to wins, I don't know.
It looks like the the Jets and the Bears and
everybody else in that ridge.

Speaker 1 (27:36):
Fox Sports Radio. The Jason Smith Show with My best
friend Mike Harmon, Live from the Tireck dot Com Studios
and the biggest lesson that I know that I learned
this week from the NFL and your team stinks. Oh
you have to admit that. No, no, I know at all.
And so you admit that that's you're Taylor Swift fan.
Uh No, I always I like Taylor Swift, do you? Yeah? Oh? Yeah,

(27:58):
the same five songs. Oh, I don't know that I
can name five off the top of my head. But
I don't. You said do I like her? You're not
a fan?

Speaker 2 (28:05):
Right?

Speaker 1 (28:06):
You said do I like her? And I mean you're
a fan? Okay, No, you asked if I like her?
You didn't say, are you there? You go all right
and shake it off. What's the one about the one
about the yeah? No, no, no, no? What's the one she
does about the about Tim McGraw, The three songs about
her ex'es? Right there? At least three or four of
those there we go, ok, in some way, shape or form.

(28:28):
So Tim McGraw, I'm not No, you said, do I
like it? When? Well, when you you know you, I
hope you think of me. So yeah, I mean even
that was wistful of I don't. I don't have any
dislike I like Taylor Swift. I didn't know it's the
greatest video. Yeah yeah, because yeah, yeah, you have bad blood.
Yeah that's one too, uh is I didn't know that

(28:50):
she is more popular than the NFL. She is a
bigger deal. Think about that. The NFL, which is the
most popular sport in the country and across the globe,
has become the most popular. How do you go from
being huge and a global superstar to being just that

(29:10):
much bigger. You re record all your songs, you take
over the NFL when all of the craziness is a
crazy week in the NFL. Oh, you had the Zach
Wilson stuff, you had the Dolphin Jack. We still don't
know what the hell's going on in Chicago. No, no, no,
you had guys getting concussions not getting looked at it.
But when Taylor Swift was shown in the box at

(29:33):
the game with Kelsey's mom and he scores a touchdown
and they cut away to her and you see her yell,
let's effing go. There was no other story of that.
I do love that that she did that. There was
no other story, and it became the lead story in
the news, in sports, in the NFL, whatever kind of enterta,
whatever you were looking at. It's the number one story.

(29:55):
Taylor Swift took over the NFL just by going to
a game and made her new Balanced shoes cool. Yes,
I know, maybe she's got white feet like me. That's awesome.
I'm wearing my new Balance shoes right now, not not
helping stock like she did today. No, but and it's
not even close. Like there's nobody else I can think
of that could just go to a game and be
rumored to be dating an NFL player that would stop

(30:18):
the world that way. She's got ninety five million followers
on social media and everything she does makes makes news.
I knew she was the big Look, she's the biggest icon,
you know, pop icon in the on the globe, and
is is probably the biggest entertainment star. I didn't know
she was bigger than the entire league. Now what she
would do just by saying, yeah, maybe I'm dating Travis

(30:38):
Kelcey and it's not showing up. This is not like
I'm dating Tom Brady. I'm dating Aaron ro I'm dating
the biggest star in the NFL. I'm dating the best
tight end who the average to above average NFL fans
know who he is, Like I'm dating he's a tight
end that is Yeah, okay, yeah, big NFL fans know
what Travis Kelsey is. But this is not he's a
big superstar. He's not dating. She's not dating Patrick Mahomes.

(31:00):
She's dating Travis Kelsey and this took over. He's got
the number one jersey now in the NFL, number one
jersey selling more than Mahomes jerseys now because he's potentially
gets made two thirds of that money. Yeah, but you
want to talk about a great work ty shirt and
I were talking about this a little bit. I very Uh,
if we're getting the giant pie out, I would say
it's it's a sliver in my belief that they're actually

(31:22):
dating versus a little bit of hanging out and having
some fun with this. Ah. I had it calculated. Your
brand gets bigger, my brand gets bigger, we all win. Yeah,
but I don't know that. I don't know that she
needs Travis Kelcey to make her brand bigger. Oh, but
you're reaching out to a whole other audience. Like I said,
the NFL world didn't didn't recognize it. No, it is,

(31:44):
it is, and it's a big thing. For Travis Kelcey.
I mean, but it's not mine. But it's not like
she's got to Oh I gotta worry. Like my last
album was I need to go. I need to do something.
We always say we quote Montgomery Burns and give it
off just a little more. But she doesn't need it
because she was printing money and now she's gonna only
do this little more, right, But but she didn't really

(32:06):
need this though, this is not this is not something. Okay,
I need this. But how many customs when the NF
eighty seven jerseys were made today? Oh man, well more
than Customs swift thirty seven jerseys for the Eagles, that's
for sure. She also turned her back on Eagles fans. Well,
I don't know about that. She's dating Travis kelcey. She
was not. She's hanging out, like we don't have confirmation

(32:27):
they're dating. Oh, they're hanging out together. Did they look
like they were canodling on the way out and Garan Paytonville.
You're not to get video of her cannoodling, but not
even a hand aldyth a noodle. Come on, She's like
they just look like just kind of down and look down.
Now there's no noodleling. There's no no public noodling from tam.
I mean they did kick all those people out of
that restaurant too. Well, yeah, look I didn't I didn't know.

(32:49):
I didn't know she was that, she was that bad.
I tried all deal, did not try it. Big in
the NFL, Bigger than the entire NFL. She is nobody else.
She now sits on the iron thrown and out of
Rodner Goodell. MESSI could show up to a game, Messi's there.
That's pretty cool. That's big a deal. All the money
maker for the MLS. Yeah, that's a Taylor Switches could

(33:09):
be dating Travis Kelsey. Wow, wait a minute, I mean
she's bigger, bigger than the NFL. Kind of surprised that.
And it's in fact how easy it is her takeover
and her dominance. She's dominating the NFL. It all she
had to do is show up, showing up people. She
could play quarterback for the Jets. Boy, that'd be something.
And always shoot your shot. Coming up next, we have

(33:33):
the biggest, most emotional story of the week from the NFL.
