You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
Ah, yeah, it is The Odd Couple.

Speaker 4 (00:42):
I'm Chris Bruesar alongside my partner Rob Parker, and we're
coming to you live from the tire rack dot Com studio.
Tire Rack dot Com is the way tirebind should be.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
And this right here, The.

Speaker 4 (00:56):
Odd Couple is the way sports talk radio should be.
Keep it locked here on Fox Sports Radio, the iHeartRadio
app or Serious XM Channel eighty three. However you may
be listening for the next three hours. You will not
be disappointed. And Rob Parker is in the house, proudly

(01:20):
wearing Rob the Southern Connecticut Technological.

Speaker 5 (01:26):
State.

Speaker 6 (01:33):
Oh no, but how are you?

Speaker 5 (01:36):
I'm good?

Speaker 7 (01:36):
What's happening to mister Chris Brossard Man will be finally
getting a little bit of decent weather here?

Speaker 5 (01:42):
Yeah, I'm good. Good may it's just about around the corner.
So May.

Speaker 7 (01:48):
And Chris just last day of school for me on campus,
still got the final to give.

Speaker 5 (01:56):
This semester. And then you know, drama at USC on
the campus. You know, there was.

Speaker 7 (02:00):
A pro Palestinian U rally on campus and helicopters flying
over and cops to crazy yeah today on campus and
I was Columbia, Yeah, Columbia, Chris, And at Harvard I
think they had some stuff going on as well. But

(02:21):
the thing I'm going to say in this moment, and
there was no no real violence or anything. So you know,
it was a protest, but we had like Anenburger's a
journalism school, right, we had reporters out there doing live broadcasts.
You know what I mean during it you cannot as
a reporter. Can you imagine being in college and you're

(02:43):
covering something like that right on campus live and.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
You had college reporters. I thought, you yeh, like college.
You probably at National you know, Oh no, No, there were.

Speaker 7 (02:52):
Local and everybody yet from all over Yeah, but I'm
saying we had our students out there live on the
scene interviewing people.

Speaker 5 (03:00):
It was tough.

Speaker 7 (03:00):
It was experience, great experience for them, but thank god,
it was nobody seriously, any issues?

Speaker 4 (03:07):
So all right, well, the y Couple crew is in
full effect. The super producer Rob g is here on
the Ones in twos for an amazing third straight day.
DJ Alex Tight Shirt aka Alex the Vegan on the
social media of the Great Elijah Sabuna and on the

(03:28):
updates you heard him, the loquacious mister Brian Finley. All right, Rob,
let's get right into it. And speaking of USC, Reggie Bush.

Speaker 5 (03:38):
Good segue, Chris, you're saying, like the radio god, it.

Speaker 6 (03:41):
Was an easy one.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
But Reggie Bush who won the Heisman Trophy for USC
in two thousand and five, and wow, talk about a
phenomenal college running back, Rob, he was just incredible. And uh,
in two thousand and five ran for seventeen hundred and
forty yards. He averaged eight point seven yards per carry.

(04:04):
It's like every time you gave it to him, it
was basically a first down.

Speaker 6 (04:07):
I mean that, that's incredible.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
He won the Heisman, he got some goodies from the
boosters and from supporters of USC. And didn't his parents
get a home? They get a home.

Speaker 6 (04:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
And so in twenty ten, the NC double A took
his Heisman, removed him from he became the only person,
was it the.

Speaker 7 (04:33):
NC double a or chrisse of the Heisman committee who
took it as heids the committey my back, Yeah, Heisman
Trust took his champ, his heisman from him, the only
player that had his heisman taken.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
And today rob fourteen years later, they reinstated him as
a Heisman Trophy winner.

Speaker 6 (04:54):
Of course we I'm sure I speak for both of us.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
It was not like we stopped thinking of him as
a Heisman Trophy winner.

Speaker 7 (05:01):
That's why taking stuff away and to all that, it's
hard to unsee it, Chris, you know what I mean,
Like even if something went now, I've always said that
you can't unsee it, you know what I mean.

Speaker 5 (05:13):
It happened.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
It's what's good about it. I mean, it's just great
in general. But he does get robbed. You know, even
though I'm sure everyone still thought of him as a
Heisman Trophy winner, you know, he wasn't able to officially
participate in all the things that Hidgan Trophy winners get to.
And so now he will get those opportunities again. So

(05:38):
that's good for him. He obviously has you know, made
a nice had a solid NFL career not what he
was expected to be. Wasn't a superstar, but he had
a solid NFL career and then now it's gone on
to you know, become a reputable broadcaster and analyst Rob
So he's doing fine.

Speaker 7 (05:59):
Good facts though, it still doesn't change what took place,
you know, and you could question whether or not they
ever should have done it. But at the time where
the rules were in place, nothing really changes. I mean,
the Heisman didn't say, oh, he didn't do it. He
was exonerated. It's just that they decided to give it back.

Speaker 5 (06:18):
I don't know what to say now.

Speaker 4 (06:19):
Now what he did is is like not against the
rules anymore.

Speaker 6 (06:25):
Players can get you know, in it.

Speaker 7 (06:27):
But at that time when he was there, I hear
what you're saying. It's just like, Chris, we used to
drive around. It would be like you know what it
would be like. It would be like when we were kids,
and I talk about this all the time, being in
my dad's El Dorado Chris drop top, you know, with
the kids and the neighborhood kids, six of us in

(06:47):
the back seat, bouncing around nobody.

Speaker 6 (06:51):
Yeah, man, we be in the front seat.

Speaker 4 (06:52):
No, we be we being because there were no big
seats right right, there were like you had no middle right,
it was like couch.

Speaker 6 (07:00):
I'll be bouncing around in the front seat.

Speaker 5 (07:02):
We'd be bouncing around.

Speaker 7 (07:04):
That would be like you know, now giving people tickets
saying we know that you weren't wearing a seatbelt. You
know what I mean, Like we weren't wearing a seatbelt.
But it wasn't a law back then. But anyway, Chris,
I'm gonna go off on a little bit of a
side note here, okay, And as this Reggie Bush getting

(07:25):
his Heisman trophy back as a backdrop, I'm calling out
all former athletes who have podcasts and platforms, Chris, in
these United States, Hello, is this on?

Speaker 5 (07:42):
This is for you. We want receipts.

Speaker 7 (07:50):
You talk about it all the time that you got awhere,
I got receipts.

Speaker 5 (07:54):
We want receipts.

Speaker 7 (07:56):
Since Reggie Bush got his Heisman back, Chris, Obviously, schools
aren't gonna punish people of Hall of Fames aren't gonna
punish people, right, All that's out the window now.

Speaker 5 (08:08):
So you know what I want.

Speaker 7 (08:10):
I want all these big mouthed athletes who know more
than they've ever let out on these podcasts to speak up.
And come cleanse yourself. I want you to come clean finally. Yes,
Gilbert Arenas, I'm talking to you. Yes, Draymond Green, I'm
talking to you.

Speaker 5 (08:28):
Yes.

Speaker 7 (08:29):
JJ Reddick, I'm talking to you. I want you to
finally be in the truth business. Stop wasting the airtime,
all right, just to hear yourself talk.

Speaker 6 (08:41):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
You know what.

Speaker 7 (08:42):
Fans people want to hear from you. They want you
to give them the real goods.

Speaker 5 (08:49):
Blow the lid off of this. You know what we want?

Speaker 7 (08:52):
Names and figures, Chris, who gave you money? How much
did they give you? How did they give it to you?
How did you move around in college? Tell us how
it was all done? Because we know it's out there, Chris,
and these guys have held this in forever. Who's got
the guts, who's got the Kidjonez? Who's got the gumption

(09:17):
to finally stand up and pull the curtain back? Those
coaches that paid you and those other people, Chris, they're
already in the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 5 (09:26):
What are they gonna do?

Speaker 3 (09:27):
Take them out?

Speaker 5 (09:29):
Come clean. I want to hear all of it.

Speaker 7 (09:34):
They did the fab five, dirty Chris Webber, all those
guys they got caught. Chris, tell us. Who gave you
the money? How much was it was the university? In on,
it was the president? How did they deliver the cash?
That's what I want to hear from these guys right now.

Speaker 5 (09:52):
I don't want to hear anything else. Don't celebrate Reggie Bush.

Speaker 7 (09:56):
Come clean, stop it, let us know what has gone
on in sports.

Speaker 5 (10:01):
College sports could.

Speaker 7 (10:03):
For a long time, and it doesn't look like there'll
be any retribution against you. Here's the time to cleanse yourself. No,
I think that's a great take.

Speaker 4 (10:15):
I agree, but I mean, look, and the athletes were
wrong for taking, you know, the money.

Speaker 6 (10:23):
It was illegal at that time.

Speaker 4 (10:26):
But Rob, I, if you're calling out the athletes and
not just the ones with the platforms, any athlete, any
big time athlete, former athlete, can get on a mic
if he wants to say something, he don't have to
have a podcast.

Speaker 6 (10:43):
He can go on somebody's podcasts and say it.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
But Rob, I have always felt, while, yes, the players
broke rules and took money, that the players always got
the raw end of the deal because whenever somebody was caught,
it was these college players, these teenagers in many cases,

(11:10):
some of whom many of whom were from incredibly impoverished backgrounds.

Speaker 6 (11:16):
And I'm not justifying it, but I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (11:18):
The adults, the corporate businessmen, the wealthy boosters of these teams,
these college teams, these programs, these distinguished alumni.

Speaker 6 (11:32):
They got all scott free.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
Everybody jumped on the eighteen year old from the hood
who was, you know, struggling financially because he took money
and his mom took money. But the wealthy businessman who
was respected in the city, if not the state and
the country, he got all scott free. So why don't

(11:57):
they come clean too? Now, the athletes, they do that,
Chris right to the point they can name.

Speaker 6 (12:07):
Yeah, they can name those names.

Speaker 4 (12:10):
I mean, look, like you said, there's not gonna be
any retribution, I mean presumably right.

Speaker 6 (12:17):
So I'm not so.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
Much into if they want to name names and everything,
that's fine. But Rob, and I know you, you and
I feel differently about the players podcast. I like their podcasts.

Speaker 6 (12:29):
Now.

Speaker 4 (12:29):
I know they're not hard hitting journalists, but their stories
are great. The fact that they act like themselves where
they might not in most cases with journalists, it's great.
You really get to know these guys for who they are,
and if they just tell the stories.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
Man.

Speaker 4 (12:50):
When I was at such and such a place, we
got one hundred I got one hundred thousand dollars each
year I was there. They took me there man, my
recruiting trip. They did this, they did that. I was like, well,
hold on, I can't take this right. Well and so
and so the Hall of Fame coach told me, you know,

(13:13):
look man, everybody, you know, whatever it is, I want
to hear the stories, rob because the stories would be great.
And you've been around athletes enough. And I have to
where the joke about it, you know, joker, Yeah, you.

Speaker 3 (13:28):
Know, I went.

Speaker 6 (13:29):
I went.

Speaker 4 (13:30):
I went here because they was giving me more money,
you know, and laugh about it and stuff like that.
But now, like you said, they can tell the truth
and you know it. That's entertaining. And that is what
we want from the athletes, right, We want the things
from the athletes that no one else.

Speaker 6 (13:50):
Can give you.

Speaker 5 (13:51):
That's why I'm talking.

Speaker 4 (13:52):
I can give you an analysis, right, somebody else can
give you analysis. We can't tell you what it was
like to actually be big time athlete.

Speaker 5 (14:01):
Nope. And the behind the scenes store.

Speaker 7 (14:03):
Here's the other thing too, Chris, And this is where
I fall players all the time. You talk about all
the time about the players left holding the bag A
lot of times they won't snitch whatever you want to
call it on the coaches, Chris, the Rick Patino with
the prostitutes and.

Speaker 5 (14:19):
All that, you know, like they won't they just they
took that.

Speaker 7 (14:23):
They just took the fall for all that when when
you me and you both know, I mean just logically,
ain't no way prostitutes were in the dorm and Rick
Patino didn't know about it.

Speaker 5 (14:33):
I don't care what you couldn't tell me any.

Speaker 6 (14:36):
Where was this assistant getting the money from.

Speaker 7 (14:39):
He's paying for He's a grad assistant, Chris making peanuts
paying for prostitutes.

Speaker 5 (14:44):
Who would believe that story? And if.

Speaker 4 (14:48):
If your coach found out out and he didn't know
anything about it, and you got on him, he's and
he's firing you.

Speaker 5 (14:56):
You know, are you?

Speaker 6 (14:57):
You would at least fear that he might fire you.
So come on, you're absolutely right? All right?

Speaker 4 (15:02):

Speaker 9 (18:27):
He did just as I am.

Speaker 10 (18:29):
Man.

Speaker 9 (18:29):
I loved it.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
Man.

Speaker 9 (18:30):
I would absolutely love to hear the stories. You know,
A quick story. When I was in college, in undergrad,
I remember there was a party. There was a couple
of brothers that was on the team, and so they
threw a party. And uh, it was a major it
was a major team, major college basketball team, and so

(18:53):
they threw the party. You know, a couple of brothers, Chris,
we had a party. They were on the team and uh,
you know, let's just say huh neops, yeah, nukes right,
and uh so we saw I saw some things that
night that got passed through through the brothers to some
of the you know, some of the players, and uh,

(19:13):
it just kind of that was kind of like my
dlight in the moment. I was like, oh, okay, so
that's how things get done. You know, they use a
lot of you know, different people to kind of you know,
past things alone. But yeah, so I love and this guy,
one of the guys actually went on to play in
the NBA. Like I said, I'm not gonna name names,
but he played in the NBA for many years. And uh so, yeah,

(19:33):
I love to hear, uh some of the stories that
because we know they're out.

Speaker 2 (19:38):
There right and we all know it.

Speaker 5 (19:41):
We just can't reporters, we can't write it. We can't,
we can't. We know. There's plenty of stuff out there.

Speaker 9 (19:47):
All I'm saying, plenty of stuff out there.

Speaker 5 (19:49):
Yeah. It was at one of the angle.

Speaker 9 (19:52):
One other angle I wanted to talk about too, because
you were talking about the African American athletes. How about
the exploitation is some of these boosters and things used
for these kids dangled stuff in front of the parents
and the grandparents to get the kids to go where
they wanted to go, like you know, if they needed
a new washing machine refrigerated. So this expectation did I

(20:12):
love to hear those expectation stories of these African American
kids that were exploited, you know, in their poverty by
some of these booses and these sacrimonious eighties and university
presidents that claimed they were clueless but knew everything that
was going on as well.

Speaker 7 (20:30):
Thanks so much, uh Sar in Sacramento.

Speaker 5 (20:34):
You're on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Sean?

Speaker 11 (20:37):
Yeah, home, my uncles from another mother, my brother mind
the board man look killing them hit the nail on
the head. And another point I want to make you
all were looking for example, it's like the legalization of marijuana.

Speaker 8 (20:48):
Man.

Speaker 12 (20:48):
Once they did that.

Speaker 11 (20:49):
They started letting people out who were originally convicted of
those parts because they realized they weren't real prid. They
should have reinstated Reggie Busher, given them Backer Trophy a
long time ago, and the Fab five should have been
had those banners hung back up in Michigan.

Speaker 9 (21:02):
But man, Rob, this is a million dollar idea.

Speaker 11 (21:05):
Just look with the thirty for thirties for Eric Dickerson
and you and the Fab five.

Speaker 12 (21:10):
I would love to hear that, and especially those guys
you called out, Guys like Gilbert arenas guys like Draymond Green,
guys like Katie, guys that are are out there in
the media. They need to do some type of partnership
with Fox Sports one or hook up with the on
the YouTube to do an interview, because we would love
to hear that as consumers man, and it's time to
flip the script.

Speaker 5 (21:27):
By expose those guys. Sean.

Speaker 4 (21:32):
They took the risks too, because if they had gotten caught,
they would have been the ones to get I'm just saying,
like here it is, yeah, you know Carrie around the corner.

Speaker 6 (21:45):
We can ask Carrie.

Speaker 5 (21:47):
Carry the first one to stop you. Get Carrie right.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio

Speaker 4 (22:04):
Former NBA veteran playing in two NBA finals now Fox
Sports Radio NBA analysts none other then Carrie Kittles.

Speaker 10 (22:13):
Carrie, what's Upry, what's going on? How y'all doing?

Speaker 3 (22:17):
We are good? We are good. I'm gonna warn you.

Speaker 4 (22:20):
Rob's got a doozy for you, all right, So Rob
take it away.

Speaker 7 (22:25):
Well, Carrie, this is just a backdrop of Reggie Bush
and him getting in.

Speaker 6 (22:30):
You saw Reggie Bush got his higsman exactly.

Speaker 9 (22:32):
Yes.

Speaker 7 (22:33):
So I'm calling out all former athletes, especially those who
have podcasts and platforms. We want you to come clean
and cleanse yourself. Okay, we want the receipts, right, Carrie,
We want the receipts. So if you got money, coaches
gave you money, schools gave you money, all that, we

(22:55):
want to hear that. I mean, they're not gonna take
you out of the Hall of Fame. They're not gonna
do anything bad to you because obviously it's at least.

Speaker 5 (23:03):
It's all right now with nil money.

Speaker 7 (23:06):
So we want to know would you like to hear
those stories carry and we'll just ask you.

Speaker 5 (23:11):
I'm gonna just ask you point blank, did you ever
get money?

Speaker 10 (23:15):
No? I did not get money. And so I think
it's an interesting conversation with where we are now in sports,
right with the money that has been generated for many,
many years and athletes not having a stake at that,
and now we're seeing right the transition with the nil
deals across men's and women's sports, how it's impacting all

(23:38):
of these programs across and the conversations we're now having
right post Reggie Bush's era, post the post of Fab five,
era five ye Fab five and all the money those
guys generated from Michigan and all right, and so now
it's very it's cool now to see all the conversations
and what's come about now in college sports and how

(24:00):
it's impacting the lives of all these young young kids
and their families.

Speaker 3 (24:06):
I mean, you.

Speaker 7 (24:06):
Obviously were go ahead, right, I'm just gonna say this, Carrie,
And my point is, why why are we still covered
for the people? Because you know, the kids Chris waughtered
up and right, the kids wound up being the fall guys.
But but there were people and coaches and the presidents
and people who were behind this in knowing what was
going on. Why should they get a pass? They're in

(24:27):
the Hall of Fame, they're in there. Why why should
we allow them to walk away scott free and not
become clean? That's all I want.

Speaker 10 (24:36):
Yeah, I think it's a fair argument. I think to
have these coaches and institutions be unscathed, right and walk
away clean, knowing that they were making so much money
for so many years, yes, right, for so many years.
It's unfair and the sea right, look at the pushback
from Caitlin, right, and and everything that she generated in

(24:59):
her concent you know, eight years, twenty million dollars is like,
what how much money is she gonna be generating for
the w n B A and for the Indian and
the Fever and that's all she's getting.

Speaker 7 (25:11):
Rob G makes as much money as Caitlyn. Did you
know that rob G makes as much money as Caitlyn?
And I'm not ripping rob G. He's our producer.

Speaker 10 (25:21):
Well, for her to make more money from Nike than
her w NBA contact, it's a shame.

Speaker 6 (25:28):
Well, that's because the w NBA doesn't make any money.

Speaker 5 (25:30):
Though you know, you're.

Speaker 10 (25:32):
Gonna make more money now that she's gonna be playing.

Speaker 6 (25:34):
We'll see, we'll see.

Speaker 4 (25:36):
I think if she's really good, if she's great, I
expect her to be great.

Speaker 6 (25:41):
I think she's.

Speaker 10 (25:41):
Gonna be He's gonna be boxed office.

Speaker 3 (25:43):
I think I think Carr will be.

Speaker 5 (25:46):
She'll be Globe trotters.

Speaker 7 (25:48):
Though I don't know if she's gonna save the whole
league because you'll still have Tuesday nights with two teams.

Speaker 5 (25:53):
Nobody's not interested in seeing.

Speaker 10 (25:54):
I'm just agree with that.

Speaker 3 (25:57):
So Carrie, were you.

Speaker 4 (25:59):
I mean you at Villanova you said you got you
didn't you didn't get any money? Did you know though,
like other teams y'all were playing. I mean, you obviously
were a big time high school athlete, right, people guess
that's something you you know, did your family were they like, nah,
look you're not taking anything, or you know, did you
get offered stuff from other teams or or what was

(26:20):
what was the recruiting process?

Speaker 10 (26:21):
Like, no, the recruiting process for me. I think my
high school coach was was really good at keeping those
kinds of characters away from all of his players. So
we any programs that was dealing in the gray area,
they just knew nothing to come around my high school
coach because he didn't play. He was old school. But
I mean, listen, when we traveled, I mean when I

(26:43):
was at Villanova, we traveled and we played Arizona State,
and I gotta and and and putting up to that
arena on campus and seeing those cars and hearing that
they were actually for the players, they were actually from
the players. We were like, wait, what those guys are dropping.

Speaker 5 (26:58):
Those cards.

Speaker 3 (27:01):
Right right.

Speaker 9 (27:05):
Right?

Speaker 10 (27:05):
But that wasn't that wasn't coming from the school. And
the boosters that was coming from other sources from what
we were hearing, And then we found out later that
we were involved in other stuff as well. But but yeah,
I mean we went to Syracuse. It was it's the
same deal. We saw some nice cars on that campus
and I was like, wow, Red Archie and those guys
are dropping around and these nice cars saw me whatever. Yeah,

(27:28):
they had, they had, they had great summer jobs. What
we were told.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
They did.

Speaker 7 (27:34):
Uh uh carry that. I know what thom is one.
Now I want to ask you ball. Where are the
Lakers they played when they played tomorrow night? Though, I
was curious, blowing blowing that you said they done?

Speaker 3 (27:45):
Give me that.

Speaker 10 (27:46):
I mean, go ahead, they're they're done in five. I mean,
there the Denver sleeak one game in l A and
they'll go back home and hold them all in five.
That's my guess.

Speaker 4 (28:00):
And you, I mean you, I remember you did play
Jordan in the playoffs.

Speaker 6 (28:04):
Y'all actually played them pretty close.

Speaker 4 (28:06):
But when you, I mean, I'm sure that's a series
you probably felt you guys probably.

Speaker 6 (28:11):
Weren't gonna win. But when the team's beaten you ten.

Speaker 4 (28:14):
Straight times, and it's been in one calendar, year.

Speaker 3 (28:18):
Carry.

Speaker 4 (28:19):
This isn't over three or four years. This is since
last May. Is that even though you're a great Lebron James,
even though you've won championships, especially the other players who
haven't won rings. Is how tough mentally is that to
you know, get past it when they've beaten you in
just about every way imaginable.

Speaker 10 (28:41):
Let me tell you it's it's tough mentally when you're
a player and you're in the locker room and you know,
right the other team has more weapons than you and
they're and your out match. I mean, look at it.
I mean there are across the board Denver, I mean
Denver and and Minnesota right to me are showing the
NBA how do you put together a roster in today's

(29:04):
modern era? And it shows that like linth matters now
in today's game when there's so much court space you
have to cover if you have guys six seven, six, eight,
six nine with lift in today's game in the obviously
with the joker, and how do you make everyone better
with his passing and playmaking. Yeah, the Lakers are in
for a tough season. I think it's going to have

(29:27):
to take a hard look at their roster. In the offseason.
How do you build around Lebron and a d You
don't just you know, fold and just try to get
rid of Ad. You try to build around those guys.
But I mean, Denver has an amazing roster to support
Yo the Joker and Murray his his shot making, porter
his shot making. I mean, the list goes on. I mean,

(29:49):
they're they're fun to watch, and obviously they're a favorite
heading into the deep postseason.

Speaker 4 (29:54):
One of the series, Yeah is I'm thinking is where
you want to go? Rob Clippers and MAVs tied at one.
Kawhi Leonard is back. He obviously wasn't a hundred percent
last night, but how do you see this series playing out?
Like Luca's playing a little defense now for Dallas.

Speaker 10 (30:12):
You saw I saw that, you know, listen. They're my
favorite to challenge the Nuggets in the postseason. I like
the way they were playing heading into the postseason. The
last month month and a half, there were lights out.
They didn't play well in Game one. Obviously there was
a lot of players in that team new to the postseason.
But I think Luca was able to help them win
last night and put them on his back with a

(30:35):
big shot down the stretch. I see this going five guys,
I mean, do you really believe in the Clippers going
back to LA down three to one?

Speaker 6 (30:44):
I see, I think they getting I think they're getting
a split.

Speaker 5 (30:47):
Oh no, I don't.

Speaker 6 (30:48):
I don't.

Speaker 10 (30:48):
I don't believe in that.

Speaker 6 (30:49):
I don't.

Speaker 10 (30:49):
I don't think so.

Speaker 4 (30:50):
I mean, he is hard and I think obviously Kawhi
has got to be healthy.

Speaker 10 (30:55):
But no, he's not healthy. He's not healthy.

Speaker 4 (30:58):
I thought he the second half, but yeah, he I
don't think they can beat him without Kawhi.

Speaker 10 (31:05):
With kaw they need a healthy Kawhi and that's not
gonna happen.

Speaker 6 (31:09):
Guys.

Speaker 10 (31:10):
They're they're done in five. They're done in five, I
mean six at the most if they can somehow muster up.
But they don't have leadership. Look at the Clippers. Who
is the leader on that team? Is it James? It's
not enough. You have to have somebody with a jersey
uniform on that's gonna be able to rally the troops,

(31:33):
get them solid possessions, and to get them to play,
to play the right. They don't have that. They've been
missing that for the last few years. They've been searching
for it with with pickups here and there, but they
haven't been able to find it. Kawhi Leonard and Paul
George are not leaders, and I think Harden is also.
He's passed his prime. They don't have what it takes
to get past the young, energized Dallas. And you now

(31:55):
you've seen Luca gift effort defensively. Oh watch out. I
think it's gonna be a great, great postseason between between Minnesota,
the Nuggets and the mass Gonna be fun to watch, guys.

Speaker 7 (32:06):
All right, One last thing, God like a minute, Pacers
over the Bucks.

Speaker 5 (32:12):
They split in Milwaukee. Will the Pacers win this series?

Speaker 10 (32:17):
I don't think so. I think it'll go no. I
think it'll go Steven. I think I think Giannie will
come back and they'll split. They'll split it Indie and
I think they will go back home and win and
win a game at home, and it'll go Steven. In
my opinion, I think it will be it'll be a
seven game series because Giannie is just not healthy. But
I think they'll figure out we're getting past this. This

(32:39):
Pacer team, I really do, all.

Speaker 6 (32:41):
Right, that is our man carry with the coming clean carries.

Speaker 4 (32:53):
Yeah, all right, it's the eye couple Chris and Rob
speaking of coming clean?

Speaker 6 (32:59):
Is Rob Parker ready to come clean on the Lions?
They're doubling down? That's next a a couple of Fox

Shekel City the hole base for Rob Parker's daily dix
against the spread.

Speaker 5 (33:57):
Two and one.

Speaker 7 (33:57):
Last night, Clippers did not let me get the hat trick, Chris,
But I'm gonna try today Shecko City.

Speaker 5 (34:03):
This, of course, was posted on social media earlier.

Speaker 7 (34:07):
Best bet Celtics minus fourteen and a half against the Heat.
Not looking good right now, Chris? Ain't that a close game?
You see the score?

Speaker 4 (34:14):
Yeah, it's thirty five thirty Boston, Imy was winning for
a while.

Speaker 5 (34:20):
Yeah, but plenty of time.

Speaker 7 (34:21):
Also have the Thunder minus seven and a half taking
on the Pelicans in OKC, and a little baseball mixed
in Yankees minus one and a half runs hosting the Athletics.
So the Yankees minus one and a half runs, Thunder
minus seven and a half, and the Celtics minus fourteen
and a half.

Speaker 5 (34:40):
And remember, I'm not telling you who to bet on.
I'm telling you who I bet on.

Speaker 4 (34:46):
All Right, there you have it, Rob, the Detroit Lions,
great year last season, get to the NFC Championship Game,
and now Rob today they reward a mine Roye Saint
Brown and Penay Seuel each with four year deals one

(35:12):
hundred and twenty million form and ross Saint Brown.

Speaker 6 (35:16):
How much give me those numbers for Peny sewel? I
think it was? Was it seventy five? Let's see? Yeah,
seventy seven million guaranteed for Saint Brown.

Speaker 4 (35:28):
Uh, that's the most ever for a wide receiver ROP
in NFL history and Sewell gets eighty five million guaranteed.

Speaker 6 (35:36):
So they spent big money.

Speaker 4 (35:38):
Now you wanted them to fire Dan Campbell?

Speaker 6 (35:43):
You ready to recant? No, come clean. We're cleansing.

Speaker 5 (35:47):
No, I'm clean.

Speaker 6 (35:48):
I'm not crazy.

Speaker 7 (35:49):
I'm coming clean because he choked down when they had
a chance to get to the super Bowl, which they've
never been to in the history of.

Speaker 5 (35:56):
The Super Bowl. Still remarkable.

Speaker 7 (35:58):
The only other teams Chris not an original team not
to get there all expansion teams. Those are the only teams,
like the Browns, I mean, like the Cleveland Browns expansion team.

Speaker 4 (36:09):
And don't they've got Cleveland's history though, who although they yeah,
we're talking about No, I'm talking about you're talking about
super Bowl era.

Speaker 6 (36:19):
Yeah, super Bowl Okay, super Bowl Yeah, because there's only.

Speaker 7 (36:22):
Like, there's only like four teams and three of them
are expansion teams and the Lions that's the only like
original team that hasn't been there.

Speaker 5 (36:29):
But we'll see. I mean, obviously.

Speaker 7 (36:32):
They're gonna they have money to spend, they got players,
they believe they got something going. We'll see the second
year when they're the hunted and not when they're the
hunted and they've already made that run.

Speaker 5 (36:43):
We'll see how it.

Speaker 7 (36:44):
I need to see it two years in a row
before I'm going to believe that they really turned the corner.

Speaker 5 (36:49):
That was a great first.

Speaker 6 (36:53):
They did and you never turned you never.

Speaker 7 (36:55):
But I'm not convinced that this they're here to stay
because I tell you right now, the Packers and Bears
could beat them in that division.

Speaker 4 (37:03):
Well, the Packers are are tough. The Bears gonna be
good too, like like it could.

Speaker 3 (37:09):
But Detroit is.

Speaker 6 (37:10):
Gonna be good. I think they're gonna be good. They're legit.

Speaker 4 (37:15):
How many times have they been to the championship game?
Have they even been to that? What do you mean
once the conference championship? Yeah, they went with Barry Sanders
in them.

Speaker 6 (37:27):
They got there. They got to the confe.

Speaker 5 (37:29):
January ninety two, the championship game. So they've been there
with forty they lost forty something or nothing.

Speaker 6 (37:35):
They've been there twice in their history to the.

Speaker 7 (37:38):
Twice that's the last time they went there, because I
think they were there before they lost.

Speaker 5 (37:42):
They lost to the forty nine ers.

Speaker 4 (37:45):
Right now, that's it they you know they won championships
in the fifties.

Speaker 5 (37:50):
Oh no, they want that.

Speaker 6 (37:51):
They never they want in the super Bowl era.

Speaker 4 (37:53):
They've only been to two conference championships, one with Barry
Sanders and one last year.

Speaker 6 (38:00):
So, so do you like these signings or no, I don't.

Speaker 7 (38:04):
I mean, what are they gonna do? Those guys were
productive for them. They gotta they gotta sign them. I mean,
there's no way around it. I mean, I'm the big
question is on the quarterback, like what kind of deal
are you going to get there?

Speaker 6 (38:16):
In talks with him? That will be interesting.

Speaker 5 (38:19):
That's that's the one, Chris. Not these guys.

Speaker 7 (38:21):
These are young guys who performed and need to be paid.
But it's the quarterback. Are you un locked in long
term or or you're not sure.

Speaker 6 (38:30):
Golf is really good? It's just the money, you know.

Speaker 4 (38:33):
I mean, he should get paid, but he shouldn't be
the highest paid quarterback.

Speaker 6 (38:37):
In the league.

Speaker 4 (38:38):
And I don't think he will be rob He's won
it there, he's done well there, you know. I think
he'll probably recognize he's in a good situation. I don't know,
if you what kind of discount, if any, he'll give,
but we'll see. All right, it's the alcable on the
worship Widnesday, two hours left.

Speaker 6 (38:57):
Y'all know what to do. Lock it
