Speaker 2 (00:22):
You're listening to the Best of The Odd Couple with
Chris Bruson and Ron Parker.
Speaker 3 (00:30):
Aaron Rodgers was on What Happened Back Earlier and he
answered the question everybody wanted to know, did he have
anything to do with the firing of sala Here's what
he had to say.
Speaker 4 (00:38):
As fir as any of the ridiculous allegations out there,
I'm not going to spend more than one sentence in
response to it, and that is that I resent any
of those accusations because they're patently false. And it's interesting
the amount of power that people think that I have,
which I don't.
Speaker 3 (00:56):
All right, first of all, stop with it. I don't
have as much power. Stop it right there. You literally
have the offensive coordinator of your choice. You literally brought
in receivers and other players. Randall Cobb was at home
having some corn on the cops, sitting there chilling and
got a call, Hey, Aaron wants you to come play
football again. He's like, oh, right now, maybe I gotta go.
Aaron wants me back, so stop backing like you have
power and the owner called you before he let Salad go. Now,
(01:21):
I believe it when he says that maybe he didn't
say the words fire him or I don't want him.
I do believe that. I do believe that. But Rob,
we've all been in that situation where your silence is deafening.
And if he wasn't screaming out low man, listen, we're
as we talked about. We're right there. The division is
our taking. If we win Monday, we're three and two,
(01:43):
we're number one in the division. We're tops of the division.
I'm feeling good. Ree and Rob are great friends. We
got some building. We're heading the right direction. Then what
he Johnson goes, you know what?
Speaker 5 (01:51):
All right?
Speaker 3 (01:53):
May, all right, you know what, Fine, Let's ride this
thing on a few more weeks to see how it goes.
Speaker 5 (01:56):
You know that there's no way he goes in there.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
And if Aaron Rodgers is singing the praises Robert Salah
turns around and fires Robert Sala, so stop it.
Speaker 5 (02:03):
So the silence was deafening.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
He didny utter the words, probably not, but he absolutely
did not not say don't fire him, keep him. He's
my guy. Here's my issue with you me yes for real.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
First of all, and I'm glad you say that you
didn't don't know that he said said the words because
nobody knew so, but a lot of people think they
know and they that's irresponsible. Unless you heard a tape
or you were in the room, you do not know
what was said. So you got to honor the man's
word that he didn't say that. Okay, unless you have proof.
(02:39):
Number two, save Robert Salah for what, Why does Aaron
Rodgers they have three years worth of material to fire him.
Speaker 5 (02:51):
He didn't get fired.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
He didn't get fired like the offensive coordinator who was
in Denver, right can't hack it one year? Like he
got fired in one year because everybody was obvious he
can't handle the job. So what don't make it like
Robert Sala has been there for five minutes and they
don't have any They have a laundry list of stuff
(03:14):
on the way handled. There was even a situation where
Robert Sala was texting some radio guy in New York
bad mouthing.
Speaker 5 (03:22):
The team that was a coach.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
I mean, they do, they do suck. So I can
see him. I don't think he think the text messages
is gonna get out there. Well, but but how do
you feel the coach man, my team sucks?
Speaker 5 (03:32):
Well, there you go.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
And then and then he goes on the radio and
lets everybody knows what he says listen messages in these
and he's liking social media posts of getting these coaches
in trouble well, because it's.
Speaker 5 (03:41):
Just silly that you would do that, especially uh.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
And my point is that there is no saving what
Leona comes in and he hired the guy, and he
let and he let him stay there through a couple
of really bad.
Speaker 5 (03:56):
Years and and and he and he.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
Turned the other way. Okay, let's see we do. Let's
see what happens when Aaron Rodgers gets back. I'm sorry,
I can't cry a river of tears for yeah, as
if he was wrong or or he he really was
a really good coach. I don't see him getting another
head coaching John, I really don't.
Speaker 5 (04:14):
One of the things that I think were also is happening.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
So there's ten executives and coaches the athletic they interviewed
and pulled them about the jet situation, and none of
the ten believes Salad deserve to be fired so quickly.
And mot're in a fraternity there as agree that Woody
Johnson made an interrational decision.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
Uh said, you can't always go by those guys because
they have something. They're all been in that job and
they know how hard it is, and they stick up
for each other, just like you go to coaches and.
Speaker 5 (04:46):
Say that so and so deserved to be fired.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
No, he's a really good coach, and I've never seen
a coach. So I'm trying to throw this at you
because this is the conversation. I get your point for sure,
But to what we discussed yesterday, one of them said
that one of the execs ed went on Monday at
home against Buffalo and you're in first place. So they're saying,
you mess around me in first place, teams head in
the right direction, why would you fire the guy that's
(05:10):
been a part of that the head of getting you
in the right direction. And another one was also kind
of saying echoing the same thing that I've been saying that.
Speaker 5 (05:19):
They're not surprised by the timing.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
They're not surprised by him being let go, more so
the timing of it. Like I told you, I don't
think he was going to be there forever. He wasn't
the end all be all. I just think it's again,
I don't like the naive ta of Aaron Rodgers kind
of acting as if, oh man, I don't know anything.
Speaker 5 (05:35):
I had nothing to do with that. That I don't like.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
And as you somebody who was always like to nitpick
on Lebron, you know, good and well Lebron James when
coaches are let go and it's oh man, I ain't
even know I, Oh well, I have. Nobody's saying that
you literally signed the death certificate.
Speaker 5 (05:49):
But absolutely you weigh that much.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
We put so much on you and said, hey, we're
rolling with you, that you absolutely have input. And if
he were to say, I'm telling you, miss Johnson, we're
heading the right direction. We got this thing going on.
Speaker 5 (06:02):
But why would he say that? But that's fine with me.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
I just.
Speaker 5 (06:06):
Got to save him.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
Where's the evidence that he should say that when this
team has been bad and they're off to a bad starter,
give you but that. But the naivete is the idea
that coaches and general managers are going to uh call
out people in their own fraternity.
Speaker 5 (06:29):
They never do it.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
The only coach who was the coach from the Broncos uh,
who came from the Saints, rob Ge Sean Payton was
the only one who who like dissed uh Nathaniel Hackett
like public. You never see that absolutely, ever ever, ever,
(06:51):
So all I'm saying is you can't go to those
guys for input because they've all been there, they've all
been fired, and they always say, well, they's my fault
and the play the big.
Speaker 3 (07:01):
Issue though, Robbers, they're just saying Woodie Giant it was.
This was a part of it is that Woody Johnson
never does this. He never fires anybody midseason, uh, and
he's never done this before.
Speaker 5 (07:10):
Why now?
Speaker 1 (07:10):
And so what now is he has a forty year
old quarterback and the season is on the brink and
they have a chance to turn it around before it
gets too late.
Speaker 5 (07:20):
So what do you want to do?
Speaker 1 (07:21):
You want to lose the Buffalo lose another game and
then the season.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
I think that's going on the only issue.
Speaker 5 (07:29):
I'm absolutely with you.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
If you said we're doing this because Bill Coller is
coming back, or you know, Bill Belichick is coming in
right now. To me, it's like, all right, you let
him go with an interim who is a defensive minded coach,
who's his protege. So it's like, you let him go
with what plan. Absolutely coach some here of anything.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
But sometimes it's additioned by subtraction.
Speaker 5 (07:57):
Wow, And it ain't always. It ain't always.
Speaker 1 (07:59):
Because the other guy is just a defensive mind co
head coaches come from both schools offense and defense. But
can you lead men? Are you a better communicator? Can
you deal with people? Maybe there were other things on
how he dealt with staff. We were just players, we
were just you don't know the intel.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
We were just told by Aaron Rodgers just less than
a week ago, how they're great friends. And that's my guy. Yeah,
I'm we are a one. We get along great, We're
this and then now this. So that they have their
they have the absolutely right to do that. I'm not
gonna act like that. He is again some Andy Reid,
some Dar's.
Speaker 1 (08:38):
My issue is that if you tell me they made
a mistake and he's going to be snapped up and
someone's going to hire him for another job tomorrow. Then
I would buy into that. But I just don't buy
into that. I never thought he was a head coach.
I didn't never for one minute, So I'm not surprised.
The only reason he got to stick around after last
year because Aaron Rodgers got hurt.
Speaker 5 (08:59):
Oh yeah, that was less see you. But that's the
only reason.
Speaker 3 (09:02):
So is it not fair to at least say he
ain't even had a full season with Aaron Rodgers. He's
at five games and they're two and three, and they're
right at an option a chance to win the division
come Monday. You could say it is fair to say, man,
can the man get a full season with Aaron Rodgers?
The whole reason we up ended this thing. What's for
Aaron Rodgers? Can he get a shot with him?
Speaker 5 (09:23):
No?
Speaker 3 (09:23):
I can't get a five games. No, you can't even
get a third of a season.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
No, because at some point, when you realize what I
realized it, when you realize it's done, it's done, So
then you over you don't have to wait. No, I'm
talking about with Robert Salah. Once it's done, you don't wait.
You don't go well, can hey, hey, you know what
I'm gonna fire you.
Speaker 5 (09:44):
Can you wait? Can years ago?
Speaker 1 (09:46):
Can we wait till Christmas? Can I can I wait
till the end of the year. Let's play out. No,
I want you out the building when they fire you.
They asked you to leave immediately. We talk about it
all the time. Get your stuff. No, you can't stay
at the end. No you can't. Thank Calvin and TV.
You got a contract.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
You know, you know you can't get that last show. Okay,
let me tell y'all something. There's no last show on radio.
Speaker 5 (10:11):
You're done. No, you can't say.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
Goodbye to your to your audience that you built over
the last ten years.
Speaker 5 (10:17):
It happens in all business.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
That man was there a year ago, year before that,
and then the year he finally gets the missing piece
of them winning something, Aaron Rodgers. Now he's got to
go make it make sense.
Speaker 2 (10:29):

Speaker 3 (10:41):
You know, there's like another Robert Solad situation. I kind
of feel brewing and the Nick Sirianni case, of course,
head coach for the Philadelphia Eagles. Remember he went to
the Super Bowl, he went to the season last season
with the season before, and man, hasn't been downhill ever since.
I mean, we know how many times the teams that
lose in the Super end up not making the postseason
(11:01):
the next year or looking bad the next year. But man,
they had looked awful, and they look awful when on
paper you're like, man, this team should be good. They
still got their guys, they still got Jalen Hurts, who's
only should be a sandy.
Speaker 5 (11:12):
Jalen Hurts was like, he's taking a step back. Yeah
he is, and it's like, what the heck is going
on there?
Speaker 3 (11:17):
So he was asked about somebody as a working relationship
with and Robert Sala. They said, hey, seeing what happened
to him, are there any concerns for you. Do we
have the sound on that rob Jeet? No, So I'll
tell you what he said. He basically said that no,
I obviously wish him nothing but the best. I had
a good working relationship with coach Sala, being able to
practice against those guys. I've got a lot of respect
(11:38):
for him. I think he's really good football coach. But
my mind is said on only how we get better.
Then later on talks about anything out of his control.
You know, it only consumes your mind. And that's not
what the what we're focused on right now. But the
larger thing was during their bye week, he and Jalen
Hurts had a chance to say, hey, they sat down,
they've worked some things out. Because they've had a strenuous
relationship now for some time. Jalen Hurts has been vocal
(12:01):
about the offense, been vocal about things aren't the way
they should be. There's been all types of reports that
you know, Jalen Hurts had one of his guys calling
the plays and they're just they're they're kind of trying
to keep Sirianni out of it. Now we already know
they have Kellen Moore calling plays and they're keeping Sirianna
out of it, who is off an offensive minded coach.
So there's a riff there, and it to me, it's
(12:21):
starting to look and smell a little bit like what's
happened with another green team in the Jets. What's happening
now in Philadelphia where again, like Jay Z once said,
it was all good just a week ago, you.
Speaker 5 (12:33):
Know, and by a week ago I'm talking about we
were in the super Bowl. We lost, but I mean
feeling good will come back.
Speaker 3 (12:37):
We got a young stud quarterback, teams ready and man,
there's no guarantees in this thing.
Speaker 5 (12:42):
We talk about it all the time. People, My goodness.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
That's why people who are mad about the Lions last year,
because it ain't automatic. When you get on that doorstep
and you had a chance to punch your ticket, you think, well,
we'll go back next year.
Speaker 5 (12:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (12:58):
Really, I told a lot of people who are telling me,
you know, obviously they were just trying to be nice.
Pat on the bank, Oh you guys would be good man,
you set up and I said, we are, But that
ain't a guarantee. And especially at that time right after
the game, remember Ben Johnson, the coordinator, was the hottest.
Everybody's gonna I said, if we lose him, we saw
losing people. But thankfully they kept him deathly. Now the
(13:19):
three and one and they're looking like it'll be at
least a good season and should make the playoffs.
Speaker 5 (13:22):
But you're absolutely right, but Nick, he's in trouble.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
I mean, it's just because you got to remember last
year they got off to that great start, right and
or something like that, and then then and then it tanked.
The season tanked, and now they're struggling. Jalen Hurts is
not this guy. This guy had an MVP season for
sure and you and now he's scuffling.
Speaker 5 (13:45):
And they've had they've missing receivers.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
You know, Davonte Smith got laid out the other couple
of weeks ago, a j Brown out, so you know,
to be fair, he is missing two very very good receivers. Uh,
but both are back this week. Both are back this week,
so we'll see what they look like. And obviously they
had their kumba Ya come to Jesus talking and Sirianni.
So maybe they'll be able to write the ship. And
you look at the talent, you're like, man, they should
(14:09):
be able to write the ship, like what the heck?
So hopefully they they do. But it's starting to get
that feel of quarterback coach ain't vibing. And if anybody
you got a vibe with, especially in this day and
age as a head coach, and especially a young one
who doesn't have stake in things like you could be
Mike Tomlin and let's say justin fields and your beefing, well,
you're Mike Tomlin. The ownership loves you, city loves you.
(14:29):
You've been there twenty years. You're fine, Nick Sirianni, you know,
Alex hit me with a Janet Jackson what have you
done for me lately? I mean at a certain point, bruh.
I know you took us to a Super Bowl. We
went and had appearance a couple of years back. But
at the end of the day, like Janet Jackson said,
what have you done for me lately?
Speaker 5 (14:50):
Starts to kick in.
Speaker 1 (14:51):
This is just the way it is now in the NFL,
like like there's no five year plan. People are going, oh,
you know, even like a Andy Reid, people forget this.
As much successory in Philadelphia, they moved on from him
because they couldn't win the Big One and he went
to Kansas City. But at the time they went to
(15:12):
four NFC title games and they couldn't win.
Speaker 5 (15:15):
But I'm saying, this is a real question. I'm genuinely
asking you.
Speaker 3 (15:19):
This isn't that like a you You've heard me say that,
You're gonna hear this as long as a tenure of
our show.
Speaker 5 (15:27):
Just keep giving me a shot, you know.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
What I mean?
Speaker 5 (15:29):
And I know you would have won he was there
for a long time though. I mean, I'm not mad
at that, but don't you don't you get it.
Speaker 3 (15:35):
I'm like, man, at least I'm getting shots because people
would wonder if Patrick Mahomes didn't show up, you know
what I mean, would that.
Speaker 5 (15:41):
Man Alex Smith looked like a real guy.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (15:44):
But they didn't win, though, is what I'm saying, Like,
go go look at Andy Weeds. The first few years
in Kansas City. They were losing games. They were losing
a home playoff game. And what I'm trying to say,
I get.
Speaker 5 (15:56):
What you're saying, but.
Speaker 3 (15:56):
I'm always like, man, you let go of a guy,
And I get it, we want to win the big one,
but I'm like, all right, you better have the right
next guy.
Speaker 5 (16:05):
I'm big on that. I'm big on if.
Speaker 3 (16:07):
I'm having success and things are working, Yeah, we're not
winning the big one or not.
Speaker 5 (16:10):
I'm not letting you go just to let you go.
Speaker 2 (16:12):
You go.
Speaker 3 (16:12):
I sometimes feel like teams just well, I'm gonna let
you go just to let you go. I'm like, if
I have the what we believe as an organization, the
right successor, like we're letting you go because we're bringing
in coach X who we believe will be that next level.
Otherwise you just start running the tread on the tires.
Just all right, next coach? Like what, that's what the
Lions are doing? Jim Calledwell, I'm not saying he was
(16:34):
the answer, but he finally has some stability at least
in the organization. And I let them go for who
Matt Patricia, That's who we're letting them go for. I'm like, wait,
what the same guy who has laminated play calling sheets
with a pencil, what's you're writing on it's laminated? Like
I'm always dumbfounded when they're like, yeah, you don't have
some type of better success or playing That's why you
get these organizations, rob who just keep running the tread.
Speaker 1 (16:57):
Andy Weed's k he was there for a long time
and one was fair, went the four NFC championship, and
they went to Super Bowl one time, and they didn't
get it done.
Speaker 5 (17:06):
They didn't get it done, that's for sure.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in

Speaker 6 (17:20):
ESPN's Baxter's homes He did a long form piece on
Bronnie James. You know he's gonna make it. He just
made his preseason debut. A couple of days ago. Surveyed
two dozen front office executive, coaches and scouts on what
they expect from Bronnie in his Lakers tenure. Unanimously, they
all agreed that he's not ready for the NBA. In fact,
(17:42):
one exec said that Bronnie James is quote being set
up for failure by Lebron and Rich Paul. Another executive
ads that people don't realize how far away Bronnie is,
and if they did, they wouldn't have done this.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
And I gotta say, I understand the history and it
a father and a son, but this isn't a way
to do it. And I don't have any kids, and
people want to help. I have a nephew, I have nieces.
I would do anything to help further their career, but
I'm not going to put them in a situation that
they're not ready for.
Speaker 5 (18:19):
And a lot of people don't think about it that.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
Oh, he could do, there's no big deal. He's there's
a twelve man on the bench and all this kind
of stuff. But other people have worked very hard to
get into that situation and when you start playing with
the only thing that we still have in this world
where people have to earn their way on and it's
fair is the athletic playing field. And what I say
(18:41):
by that is it's the reason we could have a
country that's seventy percent white, but the NFL seventy percent black.
You know why, because they don't go and pick people
based on the color of their skins, their athletic ability,
and if you can't compete on that level, you don't
get that job.
Speaker 5 (18:59):
Right. It's the only play you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (19:03):
Uh, there are no owners who have put their sons
or their cousins or nephews on teams because it's when.
Speaker 5 (19:12):
We did see Doc Rivers and Austin Rivers. No, but
he was a star in college. I mean no, no, no,
but he was a star. And you know what I mean, Like,
come on, he literally.
Speaker 3 (19:22):
Played with his dad and ain't like Austin res an
all star in NBA.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
No, no, no, Bronni played at usc and have average
five points Austin Rivers played. That's what I'm saying, Like, like,
I'm not saying that athletes haven't played even the same
thing when Ken Griffrey Junior and senior Ken Giffrey Junior
was the star.
Speaker 5 (19:43):
His dad was an.
Speaker 1 (19:45):
Aging player who was a really good player in his
day and wasn't pinch it off the bench. It wasn't
the other way around. Bronnie's not the star. Lebron is
the star. And Bronnie is the one who most people
believe is only getting this opportunity because of his dad,
because he didn't wow anybody at college. You know, he
had to call at the West All right, Okay, so
(20:07):
this is my point. Yeah, these people are right and
that this is what they do and evaluating people, and
they're telling you you put Bronni in this situation that
he might not be ready for and if he doesn't
play well or think, it's going to be the wrath
that people are going to have on you talked about
(20:27):
social media will be enormous. If you don't think it will, Oh,
I do.
Speaker 3 (20:31):
I don't think we I think somehow lebron has had
the kids, whereas he's literally the most famous sports figure
in America, and we all kind of go eh to
his kids, like they're not weird, He's not Michael Jackson
ing them or that we don't even know who they are,
and they're hitting the act. They're like, you know, some weird,
mysterious kids. We've been watching Bronnie and Bryce and then
the daughter came later. Their whole lives. It has been normal.
(20:54):
They have a normal life. They went to see Eric Canyon,
a couple of miles from me. Like they've had a
relatively normal life, considering your dad is the biggest sports
figure in America. And I don't disagree. There's not a
human alive except maybe Bronni. Who would think he actually
played his way into this position. I don't think that now.
Could he have yet another year?
Speaker 5 (21:15):
Two?
Speaker 3 (21:15):
Just like these gms said, I don't disagree with that,
But I also don't have a problem Lebron with Lebron
James bossing up. Listen, every now and again, in life
you've earned something.
Speaker 1 (21:25):
Nepotism is not good. I don't care who it is, Lebron.
Nepotism good? What planet are you from? No, that happens
in everyone. That's not That's not what I said. I
didn't say it doesn't happen. I said it ain't good
because because you block other people who have put in
hard work, and it's the same thing if I wait
(21:45):
a minute, no, no, no no. If I came in
and the job is available here right Chris Leeds, and
I go and say, oh no, my nephew Alvin, who's
never been in radio, is going to be my co host.
There's a lot of radio people have put in time
and energy, who say, how in the world did Alvin
Parker get the co host job on the odka But
we didn't even do radio, or and we've never been
(22:08):
already he has a podcast or whatever it is.
Speaker 5 (22:10):
That's my point of it is that you would be heard.
Speaker 1 (22:13):
Other people in this building would be heard, or are
putting time, money and energy and blood, sweat and teals.
Speaker 5 (22:19):
For their career.
Speaker 3 (22:21):
You cannot in the world is utopia, That's not People
are all, okay, I'm not saying that.
Speaker 5 (22:28):
Whether it happens or not, I'm saying whether it's fair
that that's not But that's not what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (22:33):
What I'm saying is that's almost an impossibility because the
scenario you laid.
Speaker 5 (22:38):
Out is almost not gonna It's not likely in that.
Speaker 3 (22:41):
This is a big position, right, this is a big chair,
and I'm fully aware of that.
Speaker 1 (22:45):
You're telling me that people haven't gotten their relative jobs.
Speaker 3 (22:49):
And you know what I'm saying is Bronnie is playing
on a team that he may never even play. He
might be in the G League for the whole year.
We'll see. You didn't say star with Anthony Davis and Lebron.
That's a different thing. Or he's on a this is
a two man tennis team, you know, a doubles match.
He's gonna be playing with him like he's just gonna
(23:09):
be on a team where most of the guys, the
last third of a team, don't even play. I was
just at lakerd you meet Lakers media to day. I'm
literally looking at dudes who Verbatim said this. Lebron went
over to him, showed him love, dapped him up, put
his arm around on everybody took pictures. He got his phone,
his boy, the other player on the he was taking
a picture. He said, man, this is why I woke
(23:30):
up this morning. Because he knows he ain't gonna be playing,
probably never gonna really make the team. And he got
a chance to kick it with Lebron on media day,
be there in his Laker jersey, and he said, this
is what I.
Speaker 5 (23:39):
Woke up for. My point is man, stop acting.
Speaker 3 (23:42):
Y'all killing me with the acting like player ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen,
and fifteen on a team play. And who's to say
that that player is that much better than Bronni. They
might have gotten a little early, meaning he maybe he
need another year.
Speaker 1 (23:55):
I think you'll be way naive and this is this
is you liking lebron So you're gonna act like guys
who played at major colleges USC who averaged five points
don't get the contract that Bronni got, which is a
fully guarantee, not a split contract where he might go
to the g league. So again that's his dad. These
(24:16):
are up the the GMS and people who are in
the league. They watched these guys. They're not saying this.
If they really believe that Bronni was a good player,
they wouldn't be saying this just to say it.
Speaker 5 (24:28):
They've watched him all along.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
They've said that he wasn't ready yet and that he
should stay in and it ain't about oh they don't.
Speaker 5 (24:37):
Play or whatever.
Speaker 1 (24:38):
If that's the case, then Mark Cuban could put his
cousin on the Dallas Marathon say.
Speaker 5 (24:43):
He don't play. Cousins. You could do that. He is
his cousin at North Carolina because he might. People would
be like, they wouldn't buy that.
Speaker 3 (24:54):
You're talking about what shouldn't be in some utopian con
James has literally carried this league for twenty years.
Speaker 5 (25:04):
Michael.
Speaker 1 (25:05):
They had two kids, Okay, Michael Shordan owned the team.
Speaker 3 (25:09):
Why he ain't get him in, Michael Jordan, He ain't
get him in. He owned the time. Did he get
him in?
Speaker 5 (25:13):
Another?
Speaker 1 (25:15):
He do it because he knows that it wasn't right
with the integrity of the game.
Speaker 5 (25:20):
He could have put his.
Speaker 3 (25:21):
Team Michael Jordan's can worrying about the integrity of the game. Yes,
why did he put his two kids on the trut
Michael Jordan? Why is hears sait of Lebron. Michael Jordan
probably looked at it. Y'all ain't deserve it. Y'all play
like me. Y'all ain't as good as me. Y'all ain't
nearly as good. I wish I might play. I bitch
you myself, nobody, That's what it is. This is a
family thing, my son. It has an opportunity to get in. Absolutely, Hey,
(25:45):
why not? I don't understand why he wouldn't. And you
gotta step back to like, the fifty fifth pick plays
in these leagues. This is the fifty fifth pick. It's
a gamble. So they the gambling fifth.
Speaker 5 (25:55):
Pick that got a three or four year fully guaranteed contract.
Can you name him if I can't even know exactly
the fifth pick? No, but that's my point.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
I know that they don't have a fully guaranteed contract.
I'll tell you that it's like seven million. You're actually like,
doesn't it matter? It does matter due that it's a favoritism.
If he absolutely is he got the same deal at
another guy at the fifty fifth pick, then I.
Speaker 5 (26:19):
Would buy it.
Speaker 1 (26:20):
If Bronnie averaged twenty points at USC and he would
have been a fifty fifth pick, all right, or he
did something that you could look at. The only reason
he's in the NBA is because of his dad. Everybody knows,
and at my point is who cares? Am I the
only one that doesn't care?
Speaker 5 (26:36):
Yeah, you're the only one.
Speaker 3 (26:37):
He's the fifty fifth pick on a team in which
he played here locally, He's from here, lebron For what
the Lakers have chosen to be a family oriented organization,
they honor Kobe Bryant when he was a broken down body.
Clearly wasn't going to be worth the money they gave him,
and they gave him all the money. Lebron James comes here,
won a championship. They're saying, hey, if we want to Leangelo.
Speaker 1 (27:00):
Ball should have had a spot on an NBA team
because his other two brothers were in the league.
Speaker 3 (27:04):
Right, No, neither one of them is Lebron. That was
a terrible example. Neither one of them Lebron. He wouldn't
go to play. He's gonna be a twelve player. What
did you just say, twelve? Jannis ain't gonna play. Janna,
his brother Dianas is on the team. Simply what because
Janna's once in there? Did you did he?
Speaker 5 (27:26):
Is he not on the team? Because Janni wanted to
be in the league.
Speaker 1 (27:29):
He was drafted by the Knicks before Jannis got to Milwaukee.
Speaker 5 (27:32):
No, I said, why is he on the bull I'm
asking you he got in the league before. He should
have been in there for an hour and a half.
Speaker 3 (27:38):
Him with six points his first year. Giannis is in
the NBA. Jiannas runs the Bucks. Gianna said, keep my
brother here? Where is his brother? How did he get
in the league? John he got drafted by your john.
Who are you saying his brother?
Speaker 5 (27:51):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (27:51):
What is your point? I got you on the back. No,
he got dropped, isn't drafted? What what does that have
to do with these.
Speaker 5 (27:59):
In the NBA?
Speaker 3 (28:00):
Ronnie drafted is what I'm trying to have the NBA
is the point. You're literally in the NBA because of me. No,
he got drafted before, so now he has to have
a twelve year career because he got drafted. Now, people
get drafted, we never even seen them touch the court.
Speaker 1 (28:15):
But he got drafted before his brother had any influence.
Speaker 5 (28:18):
That's my point. Seven seven is.
Speaker 3 (28:21):
Why is he on the team? You're telling me about
what he did before? Why is he on the team?
Speaker 1 (28:25):
No, I'm asking you how did he get into the No,
you're not answering what I'm asking you.
Speaker 5 (28:28):
How did he get into Answer the question? How is
he in there? He got into the league.
Speaker 1 (28:33):
And if they want another big man that sit on
the bench, then Giannis said, all right.
Speaker 5 (28:38):
Have my brother be that spot.
Speaker 3 (28:39):
Kla would be his brother would be doing uh broadcast
play by play for some small college right now. If
Gianni's didn't want him on the team, No, he absolutely
is there. Everybody knows this. He's literally a meme of
like the I'm only here because of he got in
the league before everybody gets drafted. You know how people
never actually make it any.
Speaker 5 (28:59):
Seventy seven.
Speaker 3 (29:02):
Fourteen second round picks, fourteen got fully guaranteed contracts, fifty
four team second round picks. Give me fifty five and
no longer fourteen second round picks for the guaranteed contract.
And you know how many also don't play five Most
of them don't play. They don't stick around, y'all acting
like he stole the number ten spot or top five pick.
Speaker 5 (29:23):
Relax, absolutely recaver.
Speaker 1 (29:25):
How many guys who averaged five points on the bad
USC team get drafted?
Speaker 5 (29:29):
How many dads are Lebron?
Speaker 1 (29:30):
How many get drafted averaging five points in college?
Speaker 5 (29:34):
And how many dads are run boss on? Boss up? Lebron?
Speaker 3 (29:38):
Boss up? And if he got his son on the team,
shout out to him. I don't have a problem with it.
We see coaches bring their coaches to up could be
coaches and Bill Belichick brings his son in to coach.
Speaker 5 (29:48):
We see that every year. Kyle Shanahan, Mike Shannon ho
Ching is not playing. What is it that to get paid,
just just much just playing your way on a team
through not building out.
Speaker 3 (30:00):
It's a lot about that. Wait, nepotism as good. So
it's bad or it works, there's not, so you're throwing
me off.
Speaker 1 (30:04):
Andy Reed's kid played on the Chiefs. Did any Weeds coach?
So I'm asking you to Bill Belichick's kids play.
Speaker 5 (30:09):
On the Patriot? Oh they coach? Why not?
Speaker 1 (30:11):
Because they probably couldn't play any There you go, and
Brodney can't play, but he got on the team.
Speaker 3 (30:15):
He played enough to be in college and for most
of them to say he needed enough year or so.
Speaker 5 (30:19):
Five points
