Speaker 2 (02:17):
If you can't go.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Frank, okay, remember how to come up with something like
ninety two and up? What nobody calls them franks anymore?
There franks, it's just a hot dog or nothing. In fact,
nowadays people don't even eat hot dogs.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Yes, they had a glizzy in my mouth.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
They hade a Dodger dog and that's are you see
how many hot dog you know any Franks? They sell
it the ballparks every year. Glizzies you know well of
all about them.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
I had a glizzy in my mouth? Would you? Would
you stop?

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Don't believe Sam like you? Alex ain't even here and
getting lit up by Sam Gig. All right, let's welcome
into odd couple.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
Cool because we wouldn't be able to do this farm
radio program without them. Rob g of course is our producer.
Iowa Sam Uh.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
I'm only here so Alex doesn't get fine exactly bridging
that's funny until Alex is here.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
And of course some Mancy Blagos is anchored. Hey, Mancy, Yes,
it's been a long time. What in the what in
the bart senter?

Speaker 2 (03:17):
I know? I was like, can you stop with that?
I told him already. It makes me sound like a witch,
I told him. But here's the thing, like, is that
not your laugh? Yeah? But can we not show it
to me every day? It's crazy?

Speaker 1 (03:27):
The wrong two guys. You're gonna laugh anyway, and so
you're gonna laugh.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
But I'm sure that there's a better one. I'm gonna
call you Mancy Barton mollonnios. That doesn't make sense. Sam,
turn off your Mike saying we got we'll get we
got you.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
And of course Elijah is our social media guru.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
So the odd couple, he's gonna take me off your
own page. There you go, can't you can't handle up
the heat.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
No, it's not the odd The heat is on you
and your ridiculousness. It's more blocking my page. That's what
I'm talking about.

Speaker 5 (03:56):
You.

Speaker 4 (03:57):
Let those guys have the got their penny knowed that.
By the way, what is that Detroit Tigers?

Speaker 2 (04:02):
I just acknowledged that. Hat.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
Okay, Tigers are up. They're ready to clinch. Yeah, yes, monsie.
They were up two games to one. They just needed
just chill because this is baseball, you know, look at it.
You don't want to get crazy, and of course get
crazy also tonight the Dodgers could be eliminated. The way
you look at me there like the eye contact. Yes, okay,
all right, so much to do, so little time. Let's

(04:25):
get it started. Uh, let's start with the Aaron Rodgers,
Robert so Sala with the fire coach. And you know
there's stories out there all over the place. We do
have the sound Robbie. Okay, yeah, yeah, let's so. Aaron
Rodgers was on what happened earlier.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
He answered the question everybody wanted to know, did he
have anything to do with the firing of Salah.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
Here's what he had to say.

Speaker 6 (04:51):
As far as any of the ridiculous allegations out there,
I'm not going to spend more than one sentence in
response to it, and that is I resent any of
those accusations because they're patently false. And it's interesting the
amount of power that people think that I have, which
I don't.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
All right, first of all, stop with it. I don't
have this much power. Stop it right there. You literally
have the offensive coordinator of your choice. You literally brought
in receivers and other players. Randall Cobb was at home
having some corn on the cops, sitting there chilling, and
got a call, Hey, Aaron wants you to come play
football again. He's like, oh, right now, maybe I gotta go.
Aaron wants me back, So stop backing like you have
power and the owner called you before he let Salad go.

(05:34):
Now I believe it when he says that maybe he
didn't say the words fire him or I don't want him.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
I do believe that. I do believe that.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
But Rob, we've all been in that situation where your
silence is deafening. And if he wasn't screaming out, low man, listen,
we're as we talked about. We're right there. The division
is if our taking. If we win Monday, we're three
and two, we're number one in the division where tops
of the division. I'm feeling good, Ree and Rob or
great friends. We got some building. We're heading the right direction.

(06:02):
Then what he Johnson goes, you know what?

Speaker 2 (06:04):
All right?

Speaker 1 (06:05):
May, all right, you know what, Fine, Let's ride this
thing out a few more weeks and see how it goes.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
You know that there's no way he goes in there.
And if Aaron.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
Rodgers is singing the praises Robert Sala turns around and
fires Robert Salah, so stop it.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
So the silence was deafening.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
He didny utter the words, probably not, but he absolutely
did not not say don't fire him, keep him.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
He's my guy. Here's my issue with you me? Yes
for real?

Speaker 4 (06:30):
First of all, and I'm glad you say that you
didn't don't know that he said said the words, because
nobody knew idiot. So but a lot of people think
they know and they that's irresponsible. Unless you heard a
tape or you were in the room, you do not
know what was said. So you got to honor the
man's word that he didn't say that. Okay, unless you
have proof. Number two, save Robert Salah for what? Why

(06:57):
does Aaron Rodgers they have three years worth of material
to fire him.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
He didn't get fired.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
Uh, he didn't get fired like uh the offensive coordinator
who was in Denver, right, can't hack it one year?
Like he got fired in one year because everybody was
obvious he can't handle the job.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
So what don't make it?

Speaker 4 (07:20):
Like Robert Sala's been there for five minutes and they
don't have any They have a laundry list of stuff
on the way handled. There was even a situation where
Robert Sala was texting some radio guy in New York
bad mouthing.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
The team that was a coach.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
I mean they do they do suck. So I can
see him. I don't think he think the text messages
gonna get out there. Well, but but how do you
feel the coach man, my team sucks?

Speaker 4 (07:45):
Well, there you go and then and then he goes
on the radio and lets everybody knows what he says.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
Listen the messages in these and he's liking U social
media posts getting these coaches in trouble well, because it's
just silly that you would do that, especially Uh.

Speaker 4 (07:58):
And my point is that there is no saving what
we Ona comes in and he hired the guy, and
he let and he let him stay there through a
couple of really bad years, and and and he and
he turned the other way. Okay, let's see what we do.
Let's see what happens when Aaron Rodgers gets back. I'm sorry,
I can't cry a river of tears for Robert as

(08:19):
if he was wrong or or he had he really
was a really good coach.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
I don't see him getting another head coaching John, I
really don't.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
One of the things that I think were also is happening.
So there's ten executives UH and coaches the athletic They
interviewed and pulled them about the jet situation, and none
of the ten believes solid deserved to be fired so
quickly and in a fraternity the tree that Woody Johnson
made an interrational decision.

Speaker 4 (08:45):
UH say, you can't always go by those guys because
they have something they're all been in that job and
they know how hard it is, and they stick.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
Up for each other, just like you go to coaches
and say this, so and so deserved to be fired. No,
he's a.

Speaker 4 (09:02):
Really good coach, and the coaches in this I've never
seen a coach.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
So I'm trying to throw this at you because this
is the conversation. I get your point for sure, But
to what we discussed yesterday, one of them said that
one of the execs SID went on Monday at home
against Buffalo and you're in first place. So they're saying,
you mess around me in first place, teams head in
the right direction, why would you fire the guy that's
been a part of that head of getting you in
the right direction. And another one was also kind of saying,

(09:28):
echoing the same thing that I've been saying, that they're
not surprised by the timing. They're not surprised by him
being let go, more so the timing of it. Like
I told you, I don't think he was going to
be there forever. He wasn't the end all be all.
I just think it's again, I don't like the naivety
of Aaron Rodgers kind of acting as if, oh, man.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
I don't know anything. I had nothing to do with
that that I don't like.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
And as you somebody who was always like to nitpick
on Lebron, you know, good and well Lebron James. When
coaches are let go and it's oh, man, I ain't
even know I Oh, well, I have nobody saying that
you literally signed the death certificate.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
But absolutely you weigh that much.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
You we put so much on you and said hey,
we're rolling with you, that you absolutely have input. And
if he were to say, I'm telling you, mister Johnson,
we're heading the right direction.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
We got this thing going on. But why would he
say that? But that's fine with me. I just save him.

Speaker 4 (10:20):
Where's the evidence that he should say that when this
team has been bad and they're off to a bad starter.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
I'm gonna tell you you but that.

Speaker 4 (10:31):
But the naivete is the idea that coaches and general
managers are going to uh call out people in their
own fraternity. They never do it. The only coach who
was the coach from the Broncos era who came from
the Saints, Rob g Seay Sean Payton was the only

(10:54):
one who who like dissed uh. Nathaniel Hackett, Like in public,
you never see that absolutely, ever, ever, ever, So all
I'm saying is you can't go to those guys for
input because they've all been.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
There, they've all been fired, and they always say, well,
they're my fault and the player the big issue though.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
Robbers, they're just saying Woodie Johant, it was this was
a part of it is that Woody Johnson never does this.
He never fires anybody mid season and he's never done
this before.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
Why now?

Speaker 4 (11:23):
And so right now is he has a forty year
old quarterback and the season is on the brink and
they have a chance to turn it around before it
gets too late.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
So what do you want to do?

Speaker 4 (11:34):
You want to lose the Buffalo, lose another game and
then the season.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
I think that's going the only issue.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
I'm absolutely with you if you said we're doing this
because Bill Coller is coming back, or you know Bill
Belichick is coming in right now, to me, it's like,
all right, you let him go with an interim who
is a defensive minded coach, who's his protege.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
So it's like, you let him go with what plan. Absolutely,
coach some hear of.

Speaker 4 (12:06):
Anything, but sometimes it's additioned by subtraction.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
Wow, And it ain't always.

Speaker 4 (12:12):
It ain't always because the other guy is just a
defensive mind. Co Head coaches come from both schools, offense
and defense. But can you lead men? Are you a
better communicator? Can you deal with people? Maybe there were
other things on how he dealt with staff.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
We were just players. We were saying, you don't know
the intel.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
We were just told by Aaron Rodgers just less than
a week ago, how they're great friends, and that's my guy.
And now yeah, I'm we are a one. We get
along great, we're this, and then now this. So that
they have their they have absolutely right to do that.
I'm not gonna act like that. He is again some
Andy Reid, some Daniel Parson. That's my issue is that if.

Speaker 4 (12:52):
You tell me they made a mistake and he's going
to be snapped up and someone's going to hire him
for another job tomorrow, then I would buy into that.
But I just don't buy into that. I never thought
he was a head coach. I didn't never for one minute.
So I'm not surprised. The only reason he got to
stick around after last years because Aaron Rodgers got hurt.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
Oh yeah, that was a less see. But that's the
only reason.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
So is it not fair to at least say he
ain't even had a full season with Aaron Rodgers. He's
had five games, and they're two and three, and they're
right at an option a chance to win the division
come Monday. You could say it is fair to say, man,
can the man get a full season with Aaron Rodgers.
The whole reason we up ended this thing was for
Aaron Rodgers. Can he get a shot with him?

Speaker 2 (13:36):
No? I can't get a five games now. You can't
even get a third of a season.

Speaker 4 (13:39):
Because at some point, when you realize what I realized it,
when you realize it's done, it's done. You don't have
to wait. No, I'm talking about with Robert Salah. Once
it's done, you don't wait. You don't go well, can hey, hey,
you know what I'm gonna fire you? Can you wait
three years ago? Wait till Chris miss can? I cannot

(14:01):
wait till the end of the year. Let's play out. No,
I want you out the building. When they fire you,
they ask you to leave immediately. We talk about it
all the time. Get your stuff. No, you can't stay
at the end. No, you can't thank Calvin in TV.
You got a contract.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
No, you know you can't get that last show. Okay,
let me tell y'all saw the bo there's no last
show on radio. You're done.

Speaker 4 (14:25):
No, you can't say goodbye to your to your audience
that you built over the last ten years.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
It happens in all business man.

Speaker 1 (14:34):
Was there a year ago, I'm here before that, and
then the year he finally gets the missing piece of
them winning something, Aaron Rodgers, Now he's got to go
make it make sense?

Speaker 2 (14:42):
All right?

Speaker 4 (14:43):
Do you believe Aaron Rodgers that he's what he says,
that he had nothing to do with Robert Solid getting fired.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
My man?

Speaker 2 (16:11):
What's up Randy?

Speaker 7 (16:13):
All right now on this worship Wednesday, let me just
weigh in real quick. I can't tell if y'all talking
about the Jets. So if y'all talking about my New
Orleans Saints, because this is basically the same situation that
we're dealing with right now. We're dealing with a coach
who's a defensive minded guy who is not really a
leader of men. Uncle Rob, you said this earlier that

(16:33):
it's not all exras and oos. You have to be
a leader of men. Yes, and when those men stop
following you, it's over for you. This is the one
thing I wish sports fans will stop saying on g
Rob is this all we need? Is the Jets have
been saying all we need is a quarterback and we're
going to the Super Bowl. Each year is different. You

(16:56):
need all things to work for you to win. Robert
all I was not leading these men to the police
that they needed to be Aaron Rodgers has proved that
he's not just what they need. They need a lot
more than just him, no doubt.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
One hundreds agree, one undred I got done. Randy. You're right, brother.
Shout out to New Orleans there for Super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (17:16):
Harry and San Francisco. You're on the couple of Fox
Sports Radio. What's up, Harry?

Speaker 8 (17:21):
What's going on? Gentlemen? How you doing it going great?
How are you doing great?

Speaker 1 (17:25):
Man?

Speaker 9 (17:25):
I appreciate you taking my call.

Speaker 8 (17:27):
I'll get straight to it.

Speaker 9 (17:28):
Listen, Aaron Rodgers is a control freaking. If anybody doesn't
know that by now, throughout his whole career, then I wonder,
you know, I wonder about their mental health. I wonder
if they've been sleeping under a rock, not paying attention
and they just woke up. Aaron Rodgers is a control freak.
We all know Aaron Rodgers had plenty to do with
this firing, if not most of to do with this firing.

Speaker 4 (17:49):
What are the coaches Aaron Rodgers get fired a fifteen
year career.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
Just I'm just curious. Can we do with the background, No, no, no,
I'm asking you.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
For the background what a coach did get fired during
his fifteen year career.

Speaker 9 (18:02):
It's a fair question, but the goal supposed to being
moved with you now.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
I'm asking. I'm just asking. I mean, no.

Speaker 9 (18:09):
Question, I got to answer your question. Not nothing that
I can think of ome being oh yeah, that's fine.
But my point is is that uh, Robert Salad wasn't
doing a great job period, and and I think Aaron
Rodgers wanted him out and I actually think it's obvious.
And that's I mean, that's my two cents.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
Harry Harry, Harry, Harry, here's my only thing. And I
hear you. The season isn't They don't want to lose
the season. You got a forty year. You can't punt
on this year. And once you realize or you feel
like the coach isn't getting through or this.

Speaker 2 (18:45):
Is I know who thought the coach was getting through.
And once you do that, you got to make a move. Thanks.

Speaker 1 (18:50):
Thanks for the call, Beggary. You're right, Aaron Rodgers said
the coach ain't getting through.

Speaker 4 (18:54):
Kirk in Arizona. You arelready couple of Fox Sports Radio.
What's up Kirk?

Speaker 8 (18:59):
Hey, thanks for taking my call. Uh. I agree that
Aaron Rodgers had something to do with it. He didn't,
he didn't, he didn't make the decision, but but I
think that he's influencing it. But but I really I
believe that that they I agree with you, they don't
want to lose the season, but they think they will

(19:22):
lose the season if if follow was to fire, uh,
the Samuel Hackett. That's why that's the part that they
think would lose. And Coross and lose the season. So
in that way, Aaron Rodgers does have something to do
with they thought they think he would go in the
tank if.

Speaker 4 (19:39):
Oh yeah, that's what he's gonna do. Pout because the
offensive coordinated.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
Absolutely, And are you kidding?

Speaker 4 (19:46):
He has a Hall of Fame career with with stats,
so he's gonna go and throw interceptions and lose games?

Speaker 2 (19:52):
Is that? You just don't act? Man? You got you got?
You are a massive time. You are ridiculous to think
what that.

Speaker 4 (20:03):
Aaron Rodgers a Hall of Fame quarterback, he is gonna
he's gonna it's gonna toss the season out and tank
it because uh no, Robert, I wouldn't got.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
But what do you go? Full on? Devin, come on, absolutely,
I can't even believe your question.

Speaker 5 (20:16):
Don't.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
I don't want to listen one thing? And as the
NBA season, Lebron's my guy. Clearly Aaron Rodgers your guy.
But at least I can keep it real about my guy.
At least Lebron is also like Bron is kind of
wilding on that. You know Bron was tripping on that, Yo,
Bron needs to do that, like ers infallible, like.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
He doesn't know. I think I just think it's easy
and lazy.

Speaker 4 (20:40):
Aaron Rodgers became a punching bag after the whole did
he take the COVID shot or whatever?

Speaker 2 (20:46):
So people have to.

Speaker 4 (20:48):
Was it wasn't because he was gonna be he was gonna.

Speaker 2 (20:52):
Replace on the game show. He was.

Speaker 4 (20:54):
He was so popular that he was about to place
I'll replace Alex Trebek on Jeff.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
That's how popular he was. Okay, he was that popular.
What does that have to do with?

Speaker 10 (21:06):
No?

Speaker 4 (21:06):
And then after and then after people to hold on,
after people started to look, and then the whole thing
with the COVID all that, and they started saying that,
and he's in the dark room and all these other
things started coming out about it.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
Less it's no life. Okay, let you go.

Speaker 4 (21:21):
And then that is when things turn and now everybody
has all these crazy starts.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
Crazy.

Speaker 1 (21:27):
How about is he volunteers these crazy stories?

Speaker 2 (21:30):
How about he's the one I went out there and
that was streaming in the skuys We're blue and they
were oranged.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
I was like, who's the one who go to I
don't believe what they tell me about the COVID? And
he's the one. How about you just shut up and
played football when you need to.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
Shut shut up and played that what you said? What
I'm saying, they said that a little bawn he'd have
a heart attack.

Speaker 1 (21:51):
What I'm saying, going single show, play football, every single.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
Show, every week he's on. Shut up, he's on this show.
He's on that.

Speaker 4 (21:58):
He was only on one show. You know, Pat McAfee
was paying him a million dollars.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
A year, So don't quit. What other show was? Was
he on that game? The show he was?

Speaker 1 (22:06):
He's always saw anything we hear from Aaron ye show
Rodgers was on. Please tell me Aaron Rodgers has done
late night? What are you talking about? Aaron Rodgers is
always in front of my phone or my TV talking
about this is what I'm talking.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
About, and nobody's questioning the money.

Speaker 1 (22:27):
What I'm saying is your acting is if these things
came out of the blue, where he all of a
sudden started to be disliked or unpopular because he chooses
just same thing with Lebron. Lebron is on social media
all the time.

Speaker 4 (22:39):
One last thing Rob g was was Aaron Rodgers when
he tried out for Jeopardy. Wasn't that like at the
height it looked like at one point like he was
going to replace Alex Trebbek to do a game show.
You can't be polarizing, Okay, people gotta like you. And
it was after that. Am I wrong about that?

Speaker 2 (23:00):
You have to pick the weirdest argument.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
Nobody's arguing that Aaron Rodgers was just like in twenty thirteen.
What we're saying is Warren Rodgers ever since, he's been
hell bent on telling us about every single thought, every
single thing, answering every question.

Speaker 4 (23:13):
Want anybody pollar rizing on a game show? I'm sorry
ever since then? Bruh, it's okay, you don't have to
answer that question. Twenty You don't have to go on
the show. Let me give it to you. It wasn't
twenty thirteen, all right, one that long ago.

Speaker 5 (23:25):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio
dot com and within the iHeartRadio app search FSR to
listen live.

Speaker 1 (23:38):
Yeah, we are we haveing right now actually coming to
you live from the ti rack dot com studios. It
is the couple Rob Parker Kevin Washington on the Worship Wednesday.
We can just kind of as Monty just did there,
but obviously can go over.

Speaker 2 (23:49):
Kind of the the.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
Mob scores that we're seeing throughout the day. Shout out
to the Tigers up to one on the Guardians now
able to get a three nothing win. And I'll tell
you what this anonymous team team, the Tigers, it has been.

Speaker 2 (24:03):
It's been fun.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
I think it's that's been one of the great things
about this postseason. You just have a variety of team
You kind of have the wait where they come from.
Also have the blue bloods, if you will, with the Yankees,
you know, the Dodgers, the Mets. Uh, you kind of
have the Royals as well, and that just like, oh okay,
royals in the mix.

Speaker 2 (24:18):
That's what's made it fun.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
But yeah, the Tigers storyline continues and it's been fun
to see. You know, obviously I'm biased, but it has
been fun to see how these guys who again, no.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
People in Cleveland don't think it's fast, right, hear that,
I hear you that they've seen their team not scoring
two straight games.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
I think it's twenty innings now, they haven't scored twenty innings.

Speaker 2 (24:38):
Yeah, it's man, it's.

Speaker 4 (24:40):
A pretty crazy because they scored five runs to start
the playoffs, right, they scored five runs against the Tigers.
Then they scored two runs I think in the sixth
is that what it is? And they haven't scored since then.
So there you go with your twenty innings or whatever,
which is incredible with that lineup.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
What if they could be shut out?

Speaker 1 (24:59):
I know, and we've been talking about this too, just
looking at the different Whitman's not producing. Mookie obviously had
a home run two for TIAT two hits yesterday, but
overaw throughout the postseason, even last postseason, Mookie hasn't produced.
Judge isn't judging right now. So it's kind of interesting
as you get these megastars who have done had amazing
MVP like seasons and then all of a sudden the

(25:21):
postseason and it's just a different beast. And you know,
obviously it's a multitude of things, and that pressure, the
way they're game planning for every game, every pitch matters
more than you know, Game ninety eight in the regular
season where we got so many more to go. But yeah,
well you and I have been sitting here on and
off the mic just saying, wow, like some of these
big name guys you kind of expect to produce, they haven't.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
And for the Dodgers, you're in trouble.

Speaker 4 (25:43):
I mean, here we are, and I that it's game
four tonight and in San Diego and they have to
start a bullpen game.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
They don't have a starter. Ya.

Speaker 4 (25:54):
I'm a multa would rather play a pitch in Game
five at Dodger Stadium if they can force a game five.
And uh even last night after Hernandez had the big
grand slam to pull him within one.

Speaker 2 (26:07):
The sad part is that, right, not a home run,
a grandson.

Speaker 4 (26:14):
I can't see we got this lad here, this is
all over for Philly. They were one nothing. They were
never gonna hold onto one nothing. But wow, And I
don't know what was the count on that three to
one time.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
I didn't get a chance to see it.

Speaker 1 (26:27):
I know Monci's checking on Riches, rich Okay, is he
having a heart attack out there?

Speaker 2 (26:30):
Richard Good? Yeah, he's okay, Okay, just making sure.

Speaker 4 (26:33):
But I mean he he was looking for it, he
got it, and he crushed it for one mets bottom
of the sixth. Uh and and and as I said before,
the Dodgers need some magic, and they thought they got
it with Hernandez.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
He had a grand slam, was huge. Yeah, we were
right here, we were still on the air. Yeah, when
it happened, it's a Grand Slam.

Speaker 1 (26:52):
Yeah, rich is still here, Richard, he's still here going crazy.

Speaker 4 (26:56):
And and the thing that was crazy was after he
hit the home run, the Dodgers were retired sixteen straight
before they got another.

Speaker 2 (27:07):
You guys got a little smirk when you told I'm.

Speaker 4 (27:10):
Just trying to say, like you would have thought that
would have That's what I'm saying. After a Grand Slam,
you're down six to one, you pull within one with
a big grand.

Speaker 2 (27:19):
He was their only head on the road till like
was it the eighth or ninth, and then Freddy Freeman
got the only hit.

Speaker 4 (27:25):
I mean, they only had one more hit after that,
and that's an incredible It.

Speaker 2 (27:30):
Just was they got nothing.

Speaker 1 (27:31):
He thought that would be the juice. And Rob g
and I have talked about this before. How one of
the great Freddy Freeman, I mean, he looked awful. Remember
what's what was his name, Roger? What was it Roger?

Speaker 2 (27:43):
Was it Dorn? What was his name of Major League?
Because it was Dorn.

Speaker 1 (27:47):
He's giving me full Dorn at this point, like he
is out there on the I mean it looked horrible.

Speaker 2 (27:52):
He went and he caught the ball.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
I guess you could say on first base, goes up,
lands on his ankle again. He was out there giving
everything had happen, pitch runner for him. So yeah, that's
even worse. It's a bullpen. Freddy's out. You're gonna have
to have show hey, have that perfect game again where
he's like five for five, two home runs, two stoven bases.
You're gonna have to absolutely have that bookie a home

(28:16):
run on the Padres not hitting, that's that's issue. I
can't even deny it. I mean, and you know that
was an easy bet for you in Shekel City. I
got when you said seven and a half over and
first you said under. You didn't mean to You're like,
oh right, no, I had it over, had it over.
I was nervous for him, and I said, you know,
this is gone.

Speaker 2 (28:32):
I was over.

Speaker 4 (28:32):
Anytime the Padres are involved in the Dodgers with their offense,
this is I'm listening.

Speaker 1 (28:38):
It's just really weird that every year there's something with
the Dodgers. It's the injury bug, this guy's this guy's out.
It's the one I literally cannot hit. I forgot how
to hit from.

Speaker 4 (28:50):
If you remember last year against the Diamondback, they never
led in this year, they never led at one for
one inning in the series. And so if you're a
Dodger fan, it's just sick. It's hard when they're so good.
They've won eleven out of twelve NL West Crowns only
have the one World Series, and so it's real tough
to stomach. But this is gonna be a tough one.

(29:12):
I don't expect them to force a game five and
no again, no Freddie Freeman. That's another that that's a
big blow. I got to get a hit last the only.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
Way it happens. I mean, the bullpen's had a few
moments throughout the season. They've they definitely was one with
a bullpen game. That's what I'm saying. That's the Dodgers
bullpen has had some strong points throughout the season. They've
been good. You hope, and also, this is baseball. Bats
do go cold, So you hope the bullpen has been
as good as they've been most of the season. And
you hope that the padres they don't even have to

(29:41):
be bad. You just hope they're normal, like maybe three
runs for run, nothing crazy and you can win by
a run or two. They just can't get six, seven,
ten runs. That's the issue, and that's what they've been doing.

Speaker 4 (29:51):
But now early three nothing first innings, six runs in
the first two or two.

Speaker 2 (29:55):
I held it down last night, you know after that
second was the second inning, so yea, they didn't get anything.

Speaker 1 (30:01):
Yeah, So I mean again, the bullpen is not a
horrible thing for the Dodgers. It's just that you're relying
on that, and then you're relying Freddie Freeman's gone, and
also Mookie has been historically bad the last couple of postseasons.
You hope that yesterday was not anomaly and that he's
getting right back on track.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
That's what we hope. So we'll see.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
We'll continue keep you updating all the scores that are
happening right now throughout the MLB postseason, which has been
fun thus far. Shekel City on the way and a
good question about teams who have two teams in a town.

myself and also the Odd Couple FSR and byas say myself,
stop bothering me about that man saying that Daniel Jones
is better than Patrick Mahomes.

Speaker 2 (31:04):
Okay, I might emballtced that a little bit. I might
put little extra sauce on that.

Speaker 1 (31:07):

Shekel City.

Speaker 5 (31:30):
Welcome to Shekel City, the whole base for Rob Parker's
daily dix against the sprat.

Speaker 4 (31:42):
We do man, How we do all right last night
one and two. So I'm back on the winner's board.

Speaker 2 (31:48):
No you're not, though. That's losing.

Speaker 4 (31:50):
No, I mean as more than you won. But I
lost nine in a row, so I needed a win,
all right, I told you that. All right, Shekel City.
I know I'm twenty nine and thirty nine.

Speaker 2 (31:58):
Which is thanks like to sponsor segment.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
Now, Robert, Rob g that is is there a point
when you gotta be my man for Rocky throw to
day toile like you just throw the talent? Is there
a moment you say, Rob, we gotta just no because
you know why he can make all the bad picks
he wants. If somebody, a smart listener says I'm just
gonna fade everyone of rob bicks and make some money,
I keep telling we're still helping America.

Speaker 2 (32:20):
And you would have had a good nine game winning streaker.
All right, what's guy today? All right, here we go.

Speaker 4 (32:26):
I got the padres my best bet minus one and
a half.

Speaker 2 (32:31):
H I like that a lot.

Speaker 4 (32:32):
Philly's Philly's plus one and a half. Obviously this stuff
was set down early on social media. That down by
three right now, and the Mets have a man on
second So that's not gonna hold up, because remember the
Mets could win and the one and a half, you
can still win the bat And I got the Yankees
minus one and a half against the world right right

(32:54):
now in Kansas City. No score there, Troy again, Yankees
minus one and a half, philast plus one and a
half and the Padres minus one and a half. And remember,
I'm not telling you who to bet on. I'm telling
you who I'm a bet on that that's.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
What you're telling.

Speaker 1 (33:11):
Oh, Rod Parker, all right, this is you man, tell
me more about the rules to fandom.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
So it's I think it's pretty obvious.

Speaker 4 (33:19):
And there are there's a number of cities where there
are more than one team in particular sports, one has
a bunch of teams exactly, so la New York, Chicago,
places like that. Michael k who does the Yankee games,
I know Mike for a million years and he also
does a talk show ESPN and New York and uh
listened to Michael ka talking about fandom, what fans can

(33:41):
and can't do?

Speaker 2 (33:43):
Is fandom different? Now?

Speaker 10 (33:44):
Why are you rooting for the Mets of your Yankee fan?
Are you out of your minds? Are you out of
your mind is like, you don't have enough good things
to root for in the Bronx. Now you're gonna root
for the Queens players. It doesn't make sense. It's bizarroland.

Speaker 4 (33:59):
I am with Michael k One. I think you have
to pick a side. If you're in Los Angeles, Rob G,
you're a Lakers fan. You don't care about the Clippers?

Speaker 2 (34:10):
Am I right? Do you care about the Clippers? I
did it until recently? You did? Or did not not?
Because then they started talking about your tra.

Speaker 1 (34:17):
It's funny you had mentioned that. Everybody at my job,
you know, obviously the Lakers in the building. Everyone says
I didn't hate the Clippers up until this last iteration
of like the when they But you don't roof what
I'm saying. I don't think they hated them, but I
get your point of I'm.

Speaker 4 (34:30):
Just saying, if you're a fan, Okay, you grew up
in New York, and there's two teams for every everybody, right,
so it's the Islanders or the Giant, or the or
the Rangers. There's no you can't be a Giants in
a Jet Giants and Jets, No Mets, Yankees.

Speaker 2 (34:44):
No, I can't be a Net and a nick. If
you're in Chicago, it's the White Sox or the Come.

Speaker 1 (34:48):
I feel like that might be the most gang related one, right,
I feel like that is the one more than any
like like I get your games and Mets, but I
feel like there's a little bit of like little brother isms,
like all right, that's cute. Maybe it's like how it
was with the Clippers here where so many Lakers were
sitting Snaker fans so high.

Speaker 2 (35:04):
It was like, Oh, I look at the key pinching
little cheek, my little brother Laker. Get little Clipper fan,
Oh Clipper, that's so cute.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
I feel like the White Sox and the Cubs, I
feel like that is gang rely like they are you
better not like family split, relationships split. Hey man, I
thought you said she was the one. She was she's
a White Sox fan.

Speaker 4 (35:21):
I just I just don't you if you're I remember
the nineteen eighty six World Series. It was a nightmare
if you were a Yankee fan. You know why because
it was the Mets and the Red Sox. So if
you're a Yankee fan, you don't want the Red Sox
your rival, to win a championship, right, And you also
don't want your crosstown rival to win a championship because
then they get to.

Speaker 2 (35:41):
All of the they get along in New York. Right.

Speaker 1 (35:44):
But all right, let me throw this at you though.
So I'm from Michigan, big state, but not a huge one.
So we don't have two teams and the no, no,
not we have one of everything, but we don't have two.
There's no two basketball teams, two football teams. The only
comparison would be as a Michigan fan. And then there's
Michigan State. And my thought process was there was an

(36:05):
era where Michigan basketball was just not good. They've been
good for the last ten years or so, but they
weren't good. And Michigan State basketball with Tom Izzo and
all those guys, and they had been good. You know
that you stayed in the state for a couple decades.
My thought was, if Michigan State was making a run
in the tournament and they're playing Wisconsin or Utah or
Nevada State or you know, Duke, I'm like, those are

(36:28):
I rather the home state guys. I actually know some
of those guys. You know, there was an era when
I was you know, college and little Post Colls I
know them, or I know his brother, or he's from
a hometown, or he's from Detroit, or he's from Flint,
where I was doing radio for years. So part of
me is like born and raised in at Arburn, Michigan,
home of the University of Michigan. But I didn't want
to hate on Michigan State. And I'm like, a thin'st
somebody from the state is winning. See, I just don't.

(36:49):
I don't see that.

Speaker 4 (36:50):
If you're a Michigan fan, you can't root for Michigan
State because now they're over you. They're getting all the love.
They're better than your program. For a long time, it
was all about Tom Mizzle. Even though Tom Mizzle's won
one national championship in twenty.

Speaker 2 (37:06):
Five years, the king of the state of Okay.

Speaker 4 (37:08):
You know what I'm saying, Yeah, right, And that means
if Tom Mizzle's doing well, that the chance of you
getting homegrown products.

Speaker 2 (37:14):
They want to go to Michigan. They go to Michigan
own Flint, Saginaw. I hear you.

Speaker 1 (37:20):
But if you're a Michigan fan, why would you rove
for tons to have success.

Speaker 2 (37:24):
Loyal to the soil.

Speaker 1 (37:25):
Shout to East forty is loyal to the soil, you're
from the soil from here. I don't want Michigan State
to win, per se, but Nagan, I don't want Duke
Why Duke Monci real quick?

Speaker 2 (37:35):
Dodgers Angels? Can you be both? It just doesn't make sense.
You can't be both. But I don't have anything against
the Angels.

Speaker 8 (37:41):
What have they done?

Speaker 2 (37:41):
Oh it's not that, But you can't like people are
just like.

Speaker 10 (37:45):
I hear what you're saying, because you could be a
Dodgers fan and a forty nine Ers fan, like, how
are you wearing Dodgers?

Speaker 2 (37:52):
And then a San Francisco forty nine Ers hat? Oh
she didn't, got way too serious. Let's take it. Let
we to take a little bit because they hate the
Giants A right?

Speaker 4 (38:00):
Is the couple our number two that's coming up, sticking
