initial of his name last name.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
I thought it was something that's too obvious, rob Come

like a four you.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Know, he is full of Jesus moment. I know he
don't necessarily rock with Jesus like.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
That, but you know what, and I realized he had
the sandals on.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
Yeah, I'm telling you he's got the Jesus sandals that Jesus.
I know you're not on the GRAM and all that.
Like you need to get on the ground so they
can see the locks. The locks are locking. He got
them flowing right now. So I only have the Shallow
Oceans one for Instagram, but I'll post it just for you.

Speaker 5 (03:30):

Speaker 1 (03:40):
That's the white toe gone, I'm back, And then people
would be like freaked out, going just a little bit
more because sometimes they'd be forgetting. You know, he just
get a bron he's got the he got the brons.
And he had wooly hair. He did have said what
you are, rob g, not your hair, not the nice
uh jet black. He had wooly hair. Don't want to
acknowledge that he had blue eyes. According to the church realm,

(04:03):
that's wooly okay. And Steve de Seger is at the
standard desk. He'll keep us updated step the program. Hey be,
can we give another shout out to Can we give
a shout to Patrick's mom who hooked us up with
these cookies? Yes, these uh white chocolate, white chalk. She
why do you keep ignoring the other chocolate? It was
white chocolate and normal chocolate. She's bringing the world together,
She's ending racism by way of cookies.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
I just think the white.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
Chocolate was on sale and that's the only reason she
used it.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Listen, She's these are the we are the world cookies.
She putting everybody in the United Nations cookies. Shout out there,
and they're delicious too.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
Thank you all right, And of course Elijah our social
media Google rob G, we got news that you can use.
And I mean from this standpoint because Rob is always
rob g perusing social media and people, and so.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Davonte adds a little voyeurist.

Speaker 4 (04:52):
It's something that peaked a lot of people's interests, robbed G.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
What was that?

Speaker 6 (04:57):
Davante Adams current Raiders for Now Superstar wide receiver god
is Lebron james On on Friday. I don't know if
you guys saw this on his Instagram stories at Tay
Adams decided, you know what, I know everyone thinks that
I want to go to the Jets. I want to
go Aaron Rodgers. I know they heard I want to
go with Derek Carr the New Orleans Saints. But let
me do this for you. I'm gonna post a picture

(05:21):
of Edgar Allen Poe, no caption, no comment, nothing. Those
of you don't know Edgar Allan Poe. His most famous poem,
The Raven Nus, got people thinking, oh, you know what,
Davante wants to go to Baltimore. That lasted all about
thirty minutes. And then he puts another Instagram post saying

(05:41):
believe nothing you hear and half of what you see.
Signed Edgar Allen Poe.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Okay, I'll tell you this.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Tell me if he does go to the Baltimore Ravens
and they somehow some way make that work, they gonna
win the Super Bowl, that to me would put them
totally over the top.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
They already added Derek Henry. We already know what kind
of defense we talk about all the time.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
They're two and two, but they could be four and
oh right, yeah, they could be four and oh and
if you would have added Davante Adams already an offense
where you don't know what to do.

Speaker 4 (06:19):
Is Derek Henry gonna run the ball straight? Is Lamar
Jackson gonna head left or right off? Zig zag? Okay,
Now Davante Adams out there too as a target, Like,
what do you do? We already know that defense is
good enough to win a Super Bowl. Their offense last
year and when they won thirteen games and should have

(06:41):
gone to that two last year last year. I do
believe that he would be like a missing piece that
would elevate that offense even more. I don't know how
you would defend those three offensive players.

Speaker 3 (06:55):
What's scary about this is there's a handful of teams.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
Now if you and all reports, most teams believe most
executive anonymously say they believe he'll end up with the Jets,
reuniting with Aaron Rodgers. But there are some outliers and
him posting the Haggar Allen Pole the Raven going to
Baltimore as well. Listen, that's scary. You remember you'll be
proud of that. I also put a picture of himself

(07:19):
eating a crab cake. Well, shout out to crab cakes.
That's why I just told you need to get some
crab cat cakes in your life too, to say wings
and ribs. But they don't sell crab cakes at the Rouse.
So that's the issue right there. You wouldn't You shouldn't
eat a crab cake from Rouse even if he did. Okay,
but that but that chicken in the rib five dollars
a four piece chicken for five dollars, but you make
a lot of money, or from all the four bone

(07:40):
ribs or five bone ribs for five ribs from no Rid.
You gotta go to a dude with arms. He got
a fat on his arms. He looked big. He always
sweating that's who you want to get your ribs because
you rib that's I'm okay with that. We're gonna fry
that off in the grill. Now, let me get back
to grilling this point. And as I was trying to
make you look at the Ravens, you'll be proud of me, Rob.
Remember the group New Audition, Remember New Addition was already

(08:04):
really good. I had a bunch of success in the
mid and late eighties. And you know what else they did.
They went out there and got one of the best
singers available to them, and that was Johnny Gill. And
that's how we get the greats like can You Stand
the Rain right? The Amazing songs when they added Johnny
gil who would go on to have his own nice
solo career. My point is the Ravens are already good.
You and I believe they're already the best team in football,

(08:26):
even though the Kansas City Chiefs are four and oho,
even though the Minnesota Vikings are four and oh.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
We both agree.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
When it comes up to it, I trust the Ravens,
or at least they look at their best unbeatable.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
Let me say it that way.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
If you add Devonte Adams, a legit number one receiver,
a legit deep threat or a big possession threat and
end zone red zone threat.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
Man, stop playing with them. Stop playing with the Ravens.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
And so the teams that are on the outside end,
the Kansas City Chiefs, the Ravens, and I've heard a
little bit of an inkling of the Washington Redskins. Those
are the scarier teams than the two that everybody believes.
He'll go to the Jets or the Saints to team
up with one of his former quarterbacks.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
Johnny gil going to the New Edition made the supergroup.
I don't know. I wasn't into the Johnny Gill New Edition.
Really can you stay in the rain Bro?

Speaker 1 (09:12):
That's like a perfect R and B song, like literally
but it makes the cry. But but this is mine,
I mean there's only one. Uh, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (09:21):
I just I was gonna say I was more into
New Edition. And then Bell BIV DeVault like when they
that was right.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
When Johnny Gil came, and then then they dropped both
Bell build That's when everybody with their separate ways. He
went solo, Ralph Transmit went solo, Bell BIV Devout with
Devout to run poison. That's my song, so you want
to get a weather party? Started my divorce song right there, poison,
So you trusted the big boody in the smile, Never
trust the big button to smile.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
Yeah, but that was my divorce song.

Speaker 4 (09:49):
When I got divorced, I got in the car, had
the paper, I kissed it, and then I put that
song on.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
Okay, we gotta dissect this. What happened not necessarily happened.
I don't want to go through what happened. Nothing, But
why were you so excited? All the people are broken,
They're like, dang, you know no, No, no, I was broken.
I was heartbroken. I don't believe you. You're smiling and
you ain't. That's why you're in married, Saint. It's twenty
years in counting.

Speaker 7 (10:12):
I have my barbershop longer than I've been married. I
told you that, Yeah, it just it was one of
the definition boy you are a John Cali Perry. You
were one and done Rob, he said, I made him out.
That's it never again for me. No, but that absolutely
the Ravens. I mean, that's just a scary thought. Literally,
there's literally no they can do it or not or what.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
The site money is weird he's due seventeen million, and
they were, you know, saying that it's but.

Speaker 4 (10:35):
If I'm the Ravens and I can make it happen,
go for it. Like it's about winning a super Bowl.
It's not about a four year plan, a five year plan.
You have this dynamic quarterback who's won two MVPs, almost
two unanimous MVPs. You have this defense in place, you
have John Harbaugh, a good coach like this is.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
You try to win now.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
You don't worry about what's gonna happen two or three
years from now.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
You know, the kick the can down the road. Ye
make it happen.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
And they're about, to their credit, they're about on schedule
for another another title because you know they won the
two thousand Trent Delfer was the two thousand and one
ish version with Trent Dell for in that defense. Then
they double back with the Joe Flacco era of it
and get it done. At the end of Ray Island
they get another one there, so they're about on schedule.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
You know, this is what we do.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
We come back in ten fifteen years, get another ring
kind of thing. So they're on schedule, and absolutely listen,
you make it happen. If you got to pay some
luxury taxes, if you got to figure it out, if
I got to, you know, give up a little bit
more to get it, you make it happen. Because the
all lamar Jackson Neese is a little more confidence. And
if he has a guy like Davante Adams, that's scary.

(11:44):
And by the way, you're also playing defense. I can't
let that man somehow land with Kansas City. And I
know they're on the outside looking in, but she might
let that happen.

Speaker 4 (11:54):
It seemed like Kansas City is not in the running
that I'm like, for whatever we financially is, they're not
in the running.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
But I understand what you're saying. The other one, he
goes with a certain other team player.

Speaker 4 (12:03):
Of that caliber when he becomes available, you have to
look into it. I think you're crazy if you don't
give it a look.

Speaker 1 (12:09):

of those radio shows that are going to talk into
each other's face for the next three hours. We want
to hear what you have to say, we want you
to have some input. That's what the Odd Couple's about.
So here you go. If the Ravens get Devonte Adams,
should they be considered the favorites to win the Super Bowls?

Speaker 3 (12:37):
That's simple. We'll continue the conversation next with you.

Speaker 4 (12:40):
It is the Odd Couple, Rob Parker, kelvin Washington on

if they got Davonte Adams? Would they win the Super Bowl?
We're asking you, Rob, what we got Jake in Kansas?
You're on the odd couple Fox Sports Radio? What's up, Jake?

Speaker 8 (13:59):
Pleasure to be on two days of a row?

Speaker 1 (14:02):
Oh that's right, Jake, that's right, he did call you
got in You're lucky, Jake?

Speaker 5 (14:07):
Oh yeah?

Speaker 8 (14:07):
But uh, no way are they getting to the super
Bowl with Davante Adams. It's just going to be written
on the wall that they're giving up on Batman. DeVante
Adams only wants to play with someone he's familiar with,
and he already gave up on Aaron Rogers.

Speaker 5 (14:22):
So the only way.

Speaker 8 (14:22):
Adams is going to be happy is that he ends
up at the Saints. Otherwise he's just going to be
a distraction and the Ravens are one starting lineman away
from being garbage anyway, as soon as.

Speaker 9 (14:33):
One of them starting linemen goes down, it's going to
be a rap for them.

Speaker 3 (14:37):
Jake, what did the Ravens do to you? Like the
Ravens like that?

Speaker 4 (14:41):
Like the Ravens a lot, And I don't want what's
your what's your team? They must play in the AFC?
What's what's your favorite team? The Bengels.

Speaker 8 (14:50):
Oh, I've been with the with the Chiefs.

Speaker 3 (14:54):
Something. We can't make it three days in a row now, Jake,
don't call back?

Speaker 4 (14:59):
And in Massachusetts from the Guble Fox Sports Radio, what's up, Dreight?

Speaker 3 (15:04):
We knew it was all one lining away from sucking
that the Ravens. Dight.

Speaker 10 (15:11):
Yeah, negative, how you doing? Thanks for taking a call listening.
If DeVante Adams goes to Baltimore, there's certainly.

Speaker 9 (15:16):
The Super Bowl favorites.

Speaker 10 (15:17):
Listen, He's not gonna drop passes and make mistakes and
get unnecessariary penalties down the stretch.

Speaker 5 (15:23):
In an AFC championship game.

Speaker 10 (15:25):
He's been in those spots. He's ready to deliver. He
wants the Super Bowl.

Speaker 5 (15:28):
So they're already based on how.

Speaker 10 (15:30):
They molly walked the Bills right there in the Super
Bowl conversation. If they get this additional dimension. Never mind
Derek Henry out there looking like Earl Campbell straight running
people over. They're the overwhelming favorites, and this is a
team that is hungry. They've always been.

Speaker 5 (15:45):
The brides made, never the bride.

Speaker 10 (15:47):
They got knocked out by the Titans years back in
the number one seed. They got embarrassed last year against
Kansas City. So they're already on a revenge tour and
DeVante Adams will put them far over the top and
make it. You know, that would put more pressures than
not to be the Buffalo Bill, and.

Speaker 9 (16:00):
They they'd have to get it done.

Speaker 5 (16:01):
Thanks.

Speaker 10 (16:02):
Thanks taking a call.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
Dre might need to call Jake, that's right, let him know.
He let them know.

Speaker 4 (16:07):
And Andy and Washington, you're on the odd couple of
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (16:11):
What's up Andy?

Speaker 11 (16:12):
Hey, guys, Yes, Happy Friday, Friday, brother, real quick.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
You're in Washington State or DC.

Speaker 11 (16:19):
Washington State?

Speaker 3 (16:20):
Okay, okay, cool, cool, cool?

Speaker 11 (16:22):
Yeah. In the words to the great Rick Claire, to
be the man, you've got to beat the man. And
I don't see the Ravens taking the Chiefs even if
they get DeVante well in a.

Speaker 4 (16:33):
Minute last year, can can you just be honest about
last year. Okay, the Chiefs won, but it wasn't overwhelming.
The Ravens made a million mistakes and the raven and
the Chiefs were shut out in the second half of
that game. And and they already lost by seven or
whatever it was.

Speaker 3 (16:50):
They didn't get run out of the building. Let's not
make it like it was. It was like a mismatch.

Speaker 5 (16:57):
They find the way the Chiefs, Fine, I.

Speaker 4 (16:59):
Get it, but I'm just saying that way was the
closer than you're giving them credit for.

Speaker 11 (17:03):
Yeah, well we'll see. I think we we we just
got to wait and see.

Speaker 3 (17:08):
Yeah, we gotta see you on everything, Andy, you know
we I get it.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
To his credit, I will say they've had their number
no matter what.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
However, and what.

Speaker 1 (17:17):
I'm talking about last year this conversation is also if
they got Devontae Adams not currently as comprised is if
they got Devanta Adams. But I understand listen to you.
You know, hey, they are currently the ranting chances. Maybe
we need to put some more respect on.

Speaker 4 (17:30):
Their Now respect with a k Marty in Kentucky, you're
in the odd couple of Fox Sports ratio Marty, Then
how they spell respect?

Speaker 3 (17:37):
And yeah with a K right kay in Kentucky.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
Oh no, what no, no, no, not that kind of k. No,
it's a whole joke. Respects from bird Man our E
s p E K. Because yes, with some respect, but
playing the game for a playing the game from Alex
for some respect on my name.

Speaker 3 (17:58):
So he'll hear it. There we go respect respect. That's that.

Speaker 9 (18:04):
I'm going to give Kevin some respects right now. I
heard the intro and I didn't know that he wanted
to stay championship in high school.

Speaker 5 (18:13):
That's awesome, thank you.

Speaker 3 (18:15):
I covered one, Marty, that doesn't move you know.

Speaker 5 (18:18):
That's man.

Speaker 9 (18:19):
That's that's just I mean, it really is awesome. That's
something you never forget.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
It wasn't, hey, mart it was It wasn't class Z
ahead of high schools.

Speaker 3 (18:31):
That you're talking so brilliant.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
Continue, I'm just saying, Marty, it wasn't in the big bracket.
But it's all good, class A, it's all good.

Speaker 9 (18:43):
I'm just gonna I'm gonna hold some of my jokes
because you're a great journalist, Rob, and I'm not just
I'm just gonna be nice.

Speaker 5 (18:52):
On the subject.

Speaker 9 (18:55):
I just can't. But Rob, I just felt like on
the last call that you were you were supporting the
caller theory. You were talking about all the mistakes the
Ravens made. What makes you think they're not going to They're.

Speaker 1 (19:09):
Not gonna do that, the self inflected penalties they Zay
Flowers fumbled at the one yard. I mean not you
you're gonna go That's not gonna happen every every time
that was that Jay Flowers scores that touchdown.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
You don't know what that game I hear.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
Saying there to there is something but the Chiefs that
game you got. You do have to put some more
respect on it. They keep finding away. I have to
we gotta keep it real. They do find a way
to continue to get it done. So I understand the
goal is to get Devontae Adams and have a chance
to win it, But the Chiefs keep finding ways to win. H.

Speaker 1 (20:52):
He's trying to do what that Atlanta Falcons did you
over We gotta get to at hey, Reddy. The Falcons
three and two, you could argue they they've come back
each of their three wins and you can say Kirk
Cousins look good after injury.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
Are they as maybe good as your thought? Do you
what do you read of this team? Are they middling?

Speaker 1 (21:11):
Are you excited with the offensive potential that you saw
last night?

Speaker 5 (21:15):
I think that this team is right where I thought
they would probably beat because you guys know, I mean,
you know the preseason. And I'm one of those who
I don't think everybody needs to play in the preseason,
but I think somebody, when you have a new cored dator,
new quarterback, need to play a little bit. But I
don't think that's the end all be all. And I
just thought that, you know, they're trying to figure themselves out,
Kirk trying to figure out his new guys and they're

(21:35):
trying to figure him out. And last night it just
it just showed what kind of you know, because we
know Kirk Cousins is one of the best play action
pass quarterbacks, tying rhythm and everything like that, and through
the first four games, outside of a couple of drives,
the Philadelphia drive at the end the first drive of
the Kansas City, he just never had that Kirk Cousins rhythm.

(21:55):
He had it the whole game last night. I mean three,
I mean three and two right now. I thought they
would be four and one, and I thought they would
lose a canc in the game. But I thought they
could beat Pittsburgh, but they couldn't block TJ. Watt. I
thought they could be and I thought they would be Philadelphia.
I'm sorry, I thought they would be Philadelphia. I thought
it would be the New Orleans and I thought they
would be Tampa Bay. But right now they're in a
spot where they're just growing. I think they're gonna get better.

Speaker 4 (22:17):
What's the strength of this team if you had to
pick out what they do the best, is it just
the adding of a veteran quarterback or is it more
than that.

Speaker 5 (22:27):
I think there's a lot of the young skilled players.
You're talking about break Lindon, Kyle kids, adding Mooney and
then v John Robinson's the running back. I think that's
the strength of the group right there. But those two
safety when you talk about Jesse bas and Justin Simmons,
and I think Jesse Bates is going to be in
running for Defensive Player of the Year the way he's
played this year, those are the strengths of the team.
Now they need pass rushes. I know they on't got

(22:49):
Matthew Gidah, but he's one man. They got to figure
out how to get this pass rush going. We had
Row on the show on Wednesday and we talked about
that part about it. And if you look at a
different quarterback they played, he played running quarterbacks, so it's
hard to sack them. He played Baker Mayfield. He gets
the ball out quick, Patrick Mahomes, he has a you know,
he can get the ball out all those different things.
But they got to figure out a way to get

(23:10):
pressure because they want to play that two shell and
not give up any plays, but they give up all
the the you know, the intermediate plays. It was the
fourteen to twenty yard plays at seat of the twenty
to twenty five now yard plays. So they got to
figure out how to get some pass rush. I said
this other day, Thumb, I said, why don't you call
it yet and go see if Hassan Reddick want to
come to Atlanta. Now that's just my thought process on it.

(23:32):
But they got to find a way to get some
pass rush.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
Yeah, and you know what, he's not happy there. They
won't pay him, right.

Speaker 1 (23:38):
Raddy Bigmichael former NFL tight end co host of the
Midday Show on ninety two nine to the game in Atlanta,
kind enough to take a little quick break on date night.
I hope we don't get in trouble, get him in trouble.
Let me ask you this. I look at Kirk Cousins.
I was talking and Rob g producer Extraordinare earlier. We
were having a conversation. I said, Man, Kirk Cousins is
often disrespected or disregarded.

Speaker 3 (23:57):
We kind of go, ah, you know that Kirk Cousins.

Speaker 1 (24:00):
Everybody can't have a Patrick Mahomes or a John Elway
or some Peyton manny. He is a franchise quarterback, and
why do you think it is that we just kind
of ignore him and they are able and willing to
pass him along, go to another team, or not give
him all the credit.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
When all he's done, even in college in Michigan State,
is win.

Speaker 5 (24:16):
I'll tell you the funniest thing about Kurt Cousin was
I was on that boat and you remember that quarterback
show that came on Netflix, and you got to go
into their lives. You got to see him and all
those different things and see how cool he was. I
was like this dude is pretty cool man. And then
you know, because you know he's a cold guy, and
you know he's kind of scarious. When we saw the
picture on the plane with all the chains on no shirt.

(24:39):
And by the way, I hate that name, Kirk co
changed we were here in Atlanta, would stop saying it.
I really really hate it. But I thought that, you know,
and I got said to get a chance to talk
to him this summer while we were up at camp
Kurt is. First of all, Kurt is a damn competitor.
He has a competitor fire. He's very very very like
when stuff goes wrong on you and everything. He's a

(25:01):
very good leader and everything like that. But I just think,
and I wish you and I'm again I was a
part of that narrative, but I got rid of it,
this this prime time narrative because I know it was
bad at first. But he's won his last six prime
time football games, so I think that narrati nes go away.

Speaker 4 (25:16):
Let's talk about the division because the Bucks and the
Saints have both scored one hundred and twenty seven points,
you know, big time offenses.

Speaker 3 (25:25):
What do you make of the Saints?

Speaker 4 (25:26):
They won their first two people were like, oh my,
they're blown everybody out.

Speaker 3 (25:29):
But now they've lost their last two.

Speaker 5 (25:31):
Well, I think, you know, the biggest thing with the
Saints is if you can make Derek carr have to
beat you, then then they're not successful. Derek Carver was
so successful because they were able to run the football
with Avacamorrow, get that play action beat. I think Kubiak
is a very very good dunk quarterback. We know how
his dad, you know, has operated in this league and everything.
But I think, you know, the biggest thing with them

(25:53):
is that they're injured. They're banged up right now, but
their biggest flaw is going to be because teams are
going to key on Albac and I and I've said
about Alvin, I think Alan is a special player. But
Alvin can Alvin handle the low can Alvin? You know,
because I know he wants a new contract and everything.
He's been special, But when them hit start coming, because
remember when he was so great, he was split and carries.

(26:14):
Now he's the feature back and everything, so can he uh,
can he find a way to figure these things out?
But I think that you know, New Orleans they're good,
but as longest teams are keying on the run. It's
taking away Alvin. I don't know if Derek Cuarkin dropped
back all those times of dat you real quick.

Speaker 1 (26:28):
Lastly, Randy, I look at the NFC, the division and
with the conference in which they're in, and I guess
for me, and I'm trying not to be biased somebody.
You know, I'm from Detroit, but the Lions to me
are the best team. I know Minnesota's Florida, but I
got to see him play the Lions. Who do you
say best team in the conference?

Speaker 5 (26:45):
Well, I'm with you on the because everybody, I seem
more bad of Sam Donald than I've seem good, So
I'm not You know, I love me, so I love
coach flow and that defense and everything like that, but
I seem more bad out of Sam Donald than I've
seem good. So I'm gonna hold up. I'm hold off
on that. I do think Detroit is because Detroit, I mean,
and I need to see I needed to see Jared

(27:05):
Golf play the way he played it because he was
okay so far during the season, but I need to
see him play the way he played. You go eighteen
for eighteen and doing he because the touchdown pass with
late hands like he played the season before. I mean
they got gibed, they got winn I mean they got
the best offensive line, they got tight ends. I worry
about the secondary, That's about it.

Speaker 3 (27:25):
But and I worry about the coach.

Speaker 5 (27:27):
And Rob Rob I was just gonna see and I
worry about Dan. I love me some Dan, but I
worry about Dan in those moments because they showy.

Speaker 1 (27:38):
They should have They should have been a super Bowl.
Have you all got to keep bringing up why y'all
gotta keep bringing up.

Speaker 3 (27:43):
Oh, that's the man for a franchise.

Speaker 4 (27:45):
You know, I worked there twenty years for a franchise
that never been. They they couldn't have been any closer
and not get there. I got to bring up, oh stuff, y'all, man, Brandon,
you know how bad that was?

Speaker 3 (27:55):
That was terrible? All right, settle down, Okay, we know
we focus on this year.

Speaker 5 (27:59):
We're sitting there and I know everybody we're sitting there
watching the game. I got families from Detroit, and I
know what up though, And I'm just telling you, everybody
thought Detroit was going to super Bowl? In Detroit? What
should be going? I love Dad Campbell, but he costs
his team and his sitting that city a chance because

(28:20):
we talked to Ryan guys and we're right over here.
I know we gotta go. We talked to Rye on
Wednesday and I asked him, I said, what the hell
is this damn card in this book that you go
for it on fourth down? What is it? Tell me
what it is? Because we all want to know him
from the outside looking in? What is it that tells
you that you need to go to fourth down and
just taking points? And I don't know. And y'all gouts,
y'all are somebody, I mean, y'all are older than me

(28:42):
because I know it was rob. When did we start
leaving points uphild? When did we start letting analytic dorks
start taking over sports?

Speaker 3 (28:52):
I agree, that's.

Speaker 5 (28:53):
All it is.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
And the amount of times they did it. It wasn't
just that they went for ones okay, cool, they did
it multiple time with lick points on the.

Speaker 4 (29:01):
Board and Randy I am ol I covered Lawrence Tailor. Okay,
I want you to know that.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
Yeah, I mean, hey, all I gotta do is know
you were listening to the show and your references to
be quiety man.

best series in the MLB postseason. We'll tell you it is.

Oh man, I'm just laughing. You haven't looked me in
the eyes. I'm just Alex. You know I started when
we reset the.

Speaker 4 (31:01):
Dashboard, right when we reset it in September.

Speaker 3 (31:04):
I started out ten and five. Rom you know this
better than anybody. I know.

Speaker 4 (31:13):
Ten and five. Yeah, last night I was old for three.

Speaker 3 (31:18):
Oh for three.

Speaker 1 (31:19):
I've now dropped to twenty eight and thirty one. Thought
I was ten and five. Bad, It's bad. This is
this is that moment where as your friends we have
to have an intervention.

Speaker 3 (31:30):
No, no, no, because I'm gonna win.

Speaker 4 (31:31):
I'm gonna have money, not tonight but tomorrow with the baseball.

Speaker 3 (31:36):
So I got three game for them.

Speaker 5 (31:37):
All.

Speaker 3 (31:37):
Okay, here we go. Why don't we just do Burger City.
Romy just tells Burger seat, Yeah right, something best bet.
I'm taking the Phillies over the.

Speaker 4 (31:45):
Mets minus one and a half runs, Mets coming off
that high, you know, Phillies at home.

Speaker 3 (31:52):
I just got the Phillies in that game where we.

Speaker 1 (31:54):
Just said when you're on fire and you're hot and
you keep the moment, I just went on.

Speaker 3 (32:01):
Told me that.

Speaker 4 (32:01):
But they're not gonna sweep to Philly. They don't win
every game. I'm saying that this is the game. Okay,
Yankees a host of the Royals. Royals, nice story.

Speaker 1 (32:09):
They scored like a half a run in the two
games that they won over Baltimore.

Speaker 4 (32:14):
I mean ridiculous. But anyway, Royals about a great season.
They lost one hundred game last year.

Speaker 3 (32:19):
Unbelievable. Now, IM credit Dodgers.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
I got the Yankees minus one and a half runs
in that game against Kansas City in the Bronx and
the late game the Dodgers and Padres at Dodgers Stadium,
I got the Padres plus one and a half.

Speaker 3 (32:35):
You know, the Padres beat to make times eight out
of thirteen. They didn't expect them up. Yeah, so the.

Speaker 4 (32:40):
Padres kind of had the Dodgers number this year. So
here we go again.

Speaker 1 (32:44):
This is for tomorrow's games as all of the AL
and NLDS series start, Philly's minus one and a half,
Yankees minus one and a half and the Padres plus
one and a half.

Speaker 4 (32:55):
And remember Calvin, what's that. I'm not telling you who
to bet on, who I bet on.

Speaker 3 (33:02):
I ain't pain.

Speaker 1 (33:04):
I do think it's helpful now because I think they've
just gotten a place where they just say, Okay, what
did Rob saymon do the opposite? Well, we've approached that
level where it's like, what did Rob say?

Speaker 3 (33:13):
Cool dude? Opposite of late that's where we are.

Speaker 1 (33:15):
Hey, you know you brought up the Padres over the Dodgers,
and for me, uh, this is this is sometimes in
sports you kind of get what you want. If you're
the commissioner or this is folks over the scheduling, you're like, man,
it'll be awesome if we get this series or this
game or this matchup. And I think it's awesome that
we get this n O West matchup with the Padres

(33:36):
the Dodgers. And it's also because, as you mentioned, Padres
had a bunch of successes this year. Last year was
the Dodgers and just and you saw the postseason, You've
seen the animosity. You've got Maddy Machado who's played for
now for both.

Speaker 4 (33:48):
Teams, and people were mad at him when he left
and he didn't play hard enough.

Speaker 1 (33:53):
He wasn't running hard enough and now look what he's doing.
So to me, you know, there was an hour and
a half, two hours away from each other. I just
like this matchup because of the juicy storylines that you get. Again,
you actually have teams that are familiar with each other
and some rivalry and some beef boom check check check.
You check those boxes. Proximity check, you check those boxes.

(34:13):
Star power, you super duper check those boxes. So to me,
and the final missing piece you mentioned it earlier, does
show hail tany show up and show out on his
first at bat if he went out will mean literally,
but his first crack at being in the postseason, he
will see that, does he will? I mean that's a possibility.
I don't think so he's a machine. But also because

(34:34):
he affects the game. So maybe you know, he gets
on base by a walk or whatever, but then he
steals a base, so maybe doesn't hit a home run,
but he just his presence alone to me, is gonna
allow him to have some success. But the Dodgers bats
to go ice cold before several last year.

Speaker 3 (34:50):
Yeah, so that for me.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
That's a series I'm watching, But I think it's a
compliment to baseball right now where you could sell me
in another series and I'd be like, yeah, that looks
compelling too.

Speaker 4 (34:58):
I'm going to sell you on another even though I
want to see the Dodgers Padres myself, because I do
like that matchup. Obviously division rivals and all the other
stuff that goes with it. But another division rival are
the Mets and the Phillies.

Speaker 3 (35:13):
Like that's another gritty series.

Speaker 4 (35:15):
The Mets keep doing these magical Steve talked about it
in the update, right, you know, they they win, they
get a home run from Lynn Door and the ninth
inning to uh get them to get into the playoffs,
and then they are going to be eliminated, get a
big three run home run all in the same week.
And then we know about the Phillies the last couple
of years. They made it to the World Series. Two

(35:35):
years ago. They got Bryce Harper, they got their own players,
they got something special going and they haven't completed the job.

Speaker 3 (35:42):
They need to win a World Series with Bryce Harper.

Speaker 4 (35:45):
So there's that at other you know, that's a subway.
That's the Knicks and the Sixers.

Speaker 1 (35:51):
Player that was crazy took over down in Philadelphia and
bought all the tickets from the Sixers fans.

Speaker 3 (35:58):
So that'll be interesting to see how the Mets fans
can they infiltrate. How do you know about that?

Speaker 1 (36:02):
You got the padre saying I don't have ton't sell
it to the Dodgers fan. You got to be in
this zip code, this area code or whatever in order
to buy.

Speaker 3 (36:10):
Agree with that.

Speaker 1 (36:11):
I just think, like, if I have my fan base,
I don't want them giving up their tickets to the other.

Speaker 3 (36:17):
Listen, it's a free enterprise. Is it a free country
or not? It is? Is it a free enterprise or not?

Speaker 1 (36:21):
You are a businessman too, But don't like to hustle
and say you well, you know what he just put
on his Instagram. He out here slanging merchandise. You are
a business man. I can't slang my tickets. No, you
cannot cut it out. Not when it comes to fandom, man,
cut that out. I'm slagging my tickets.

Speaker 3 (36:37):
All right. Our number two is coming up.

Speaker 1 (36:39):
There is an NFL team doing it the right way.
We'll explain what it is. It is the odd Couple
